Transcript
- 0:07No, did it Another episode of Fanatically Speaking.
- 0:40I'm Kent, the co -host and promoter. I'm Log
- 0:43Off, the Log Off legend, the hater of social
- 0:45media. I'm the co -host and producer of the show.
- 0:48And we have another episode breaking down the
- 0:51Sean Combs Diddy documentary on Netflix. Episode
- 0:55three. The Breckoning. Go ahead. Yep. Episode
- 0:58three called Unofficial Girl. I'm sorry, Official
- 1:02Girl. Excuse me. Yeah. Dyslexia kicked it. Um,
- 1:08yeah, official girl and uh, and this one was
- 1:11was weird Like just watching it from the jump.
- 1:15Do you remember how the episode started? Yeah,
- 1:18I mean like I said it gave a glimpse into him
- 1:20again with with the women Yeah, and like kim
- 1:24porter Then they showed like the kind of a preview
- 1:29like I guess Or foreshadowing right that video
- 1:33of him and cassie Yes. Yeah. They did a good
- 1:38job of that. But the main thing was like the
- 1:43opening scene for it was him riding around in
- 1:46that car and he FaceTime and all it said that
- 1:50he was on the phone with his girlfriend. Yeah.
- 1:52I don't think it specified who she was or what
- 1:55her name was. It didn't really give her a profile.
- 1:57And then he said something about how he was like
- 1:59transferring $200 ,000 into the account or something
- 2:03like that. Yes. Was it $200 ,000 or $200 ,000?
- 2:07I think it was $200 ,000. It was a lot of money.
- 2:10It was a lot of money. But it was just weird.
- 2:13All he did was fall back on the money. Yeah,
- 2:15I'm transferring this large amount of money.
- 2:18And she's celebrating. And it's all on FaceTime.
- 2:22FaceTime calls like that are weird. And for you
- 2:24to do that, being the person that you are in
- 2:28a position that you're in, where you've got pending
- 2:30criminal charges, and you don't know if you're
- 2:33going to go to jail or not. Like that's, that's
- 2:36your outlet is to celebrate, you know, moving
- 2:39some money around. I don't know. It's, it was
- 2:40bizarre to me. Yeah, it kind of, it kind of,
- 2:44like I said, it jumped into that. It jumped into
- 2:46his, you know, bad boy taken off. Like you said,
- 2:49now he's this, you know, like you said, transferring
- 2:53money and he's this larger than life persona,
- 2:57right? Yeah. Trying to be like his, his mentor
- 3:01and it's all about him. And then then they cut
- 3:04also with the Sean John clothing line and the,
- 3:07you know, they pay him millions, right? 60, what'd
- 3:10he say? He's like $60 million check. Yeah. Oh
- 3:14my goodness. Yeah, man. Like a, like a huge amount,
- 3:17a huge amount. And then when it's all the Siroc
- 3:19stuff as well, like, like they, yeah, like they
- 3:23covered a lot. And I mean, and that, and that's
- 3:26just where all of this kind of hits. It kind
- 3:30of runs into a wall for me. Because you saw especially
- 3:34throughout like the first tenth of episode three
- 3:38Where people even with all the charges and allegations
- 3:41that are people still love that dude, man Like
- 3:44he didn't get or at least from throughout the
- 3:46documentary didn't show like massive amounts
- 3:49of disrespect from the public like people were
- 3:52Happily taking selfies and you know IG, you know,
- 3:56oh, yeah, I'm sitting over here with Diddy You
- 3:58know, he's smiling and you know throwing up signs
- 4:00and stuff like it was Yeah, it was it was just
- 4:03weird to kind of see it and knowing all that
- 4:05stuff was already out and it didn't affect the
- 4:07people on the street. You know, fame and money
- 4:10will do that, but damn, it was just it was a
- 4:12hard watch. No, it's a it's a broader picture
- 4:15for me. Like it's not just Diddy, like watching
- 4:18stuff like that. And and I'll get into it later
- 4:20with all these episodes, these last two. But
- 4:25it's celebrities in general, right? Yeah, you
- 4:29you kind of know they're wrong. but you're still
- 4:32drawn to them. Like the normal, everyday person
- 4:35doesn't care because they're looking at this
- 4:38individual. Again, they're a celebrity and they're
- 4:40like, yeah, well, he's this though and he made
- 4:43this song and he did this, he made this movie.
- 4:46He can never do that. So you don't even, you
- 4:49know, put it in your brain that they could be
- 4:52a bad person and they could do bad things. Yeah,
- 4:57well, and not only that, like, I mean, by the
- 5:01time that footage was captured, the video of
- 5:06him beating and kicking and dragging Cassie through
- 5:11a hotel hallway was already released. You know
- 5:14what he's capable of. Like like you saw it like
- 5:17that shit was out there. He'd already issued
- 5:19a public apology So like so I hear you and you're
- 5:22right celebrity is strong, especially in American
- 5:25culture It's weird where where people are just
- 5:28so drawn to the fame and the you know use power
- 5:32in quotes that people have it's But to know that
- 5:36all that information is out there. The proof
- 5:39is there you can see it But yet you still fanboy
- 5:42when you see this person walking up and down
- 5:45the street. Yeah, that's just not something I
- 5:47don't know. I wouldn't never see myself doing
- 5:49that. I've never been big on celebrities like
- 5:51that anyway. And Diddy's a massive one. But I
- 5:55mean, the comfort that people had with him just
- 5:58made me uneasy. Yeah, I was going to save this
- 5:59take for later, but I'm going to go ahead and
- 6:01hit y 'all with it. Rip it. Go rip it. So, you
- 6:05know, even like in sports, right? If you're good
- 6:09enough. You'll get another chance, right? If
- 6:14you're good enough player, good enough coach,
- 6:15you can do wrong. You're gonna get another chance.
- 6:18And people are gonna look past you, right? The
- 6:21more talent you have, the less people look, right?
- 6:26And the same in this instant. Diddy was a star
- 6:29at this point, right? By the time, like you said,
- 6:32when their video and his documentary were doing
- 6:35the videography. We know about Cassie. We know
- 6:38about the charges. We know about the entire history
- 6:41of Diddy. And like you said, people are still
- 6:44taking pictures with him because he has this
- 6:47history of hits and fame and stardom. If you're
- 6:52just a regular, you know, like you've made one
- 6:54good song or you've done a little bit of work,
- 6:56nobody, you're gonna be looked at differently,
- 6:58right? You might not get that same love. And
- 7:01it's the same in sports and any celebrity, any
- 7:03celebrity, right? You don't want to think that,
- 7:06you know, I'm going to start dropping names here.
- 7:08You don't want to think that Bill Cosby did wrong,
- 7:10and then, you know, Michael Jackson made Thriller,
- 7:13and R. Kelly did these songs. You know, these
- 7:15are names in the music and now, you know, acting,
- 7:19but you don't want to think about it because
- 7:20you're like, yeah, but they did this. So the
- 7:24better actor, the better athlete, the better
- 7:26musician, singer, rapper, whatever, it's going
- 7:30to make you, you know, the... the regular, again,
- 7:35everyday people are gonna give you a little bit
- 7:38of slack, right? They're gonna cut you some slack
- 7:40and not look at you as bad because they can't
- 7:43put the two and two together. And that's fair.
- 7:50Listen, Puff, Diddy, so I have serious XM satellite
- 7:57radio. And they have this channel or station
- 8:01called Hip Hop Chronicles. And it's like a circulation
- 8:05of like what they call kind of the top 500 hip
- 8:09hop records in history. It's wide ranging. There's
- 8:13a lot of more recent stuff in there that that's
- 8:15actually pretty strong and holds up. But a lot
- 8:17of it is historical hip hop tracks. And the influences
- 8:22and the wide reaching arm of bad boy records
- 8:26blows my mind. And it's because there's so much
- 8:30that I forgot about, where I'm like, oh shit,
- 8:34that was Bad Boy. Damn, Mace was on that remix.
- 8:38It's so much of it. And for you to say about
- 8:43Diddy being such a celebrity, he's also made.
- 8:49It's funny, we sit back and you think about somebody
- 8:53like a Andre Harrell or a Russell Simmons, it's
- 8:57arguable that - Diddy's bigger than both of them.
- 9:01Historically bigger than both of them. When it
- 9:05comes to just record labels as a whole, Bad Boy,
- 9:14they can hold their own against anybody. And
- 9:18the catalog is spanning over decades. So it's
- 9:21not just, and I hate to throw these examples
- 9:25out there, But you were talking about making
- 9:28a comparison to athletes who drop the ball, so
- 9:32to speak, have a huge slip up. So I'm just gonna
- 9:35throw three names out there. When you said earlier,
- 9:37three names came to my mind. Ray Rice, Michael
- 9:40Vick, Kobe Bryant. Three names that came to mind
- 9:43to me. Now, Ray Rice, aging, running back. The
- 9:48video was telling... of him knocking his wife
- 9:52out in an elevator, dragging her body out. That
- 9:55is different level than the stuff with Michael
- 9:57Vick, which was, you know, dog fighting allegations
- 10:00and, you know, horrible torture of animals and
- 10:02all that went to prison, came out and still had
- 10:05it athletically to where he got a shot. And then
- 10:08of course, Kobe with rape allegations. And obviously
- 10:12he was still, he was, I don't even think he'd
- 10:14fully reached his full potential at that point.
- 10:17We we saw what happened and he came back and
- 10:19he was able to win championships after that and
- 10:21it's almost like it's all forgotten So, you know
- 10:24three examples two of them similar Ray Rice different,
- 10:28but you're right if you we can benefit from it
- 10:31We'll give you another chance But the bad boy
- 10:35catalogs are already existing Like they're already
- 10:39there like they're they're monumental like you
- 10:41can put them up on Mount Rushmore You know, so
- 10:44I get it. It's I don't know, man. It's just,
- 10:47it was hard for me to kind of interpret it in
- 10:50a certain way. I was trying to be objective,
- 10:52but after all the allegations and all the women
- 10:55and all the people coming forward, all the people
- 10:58he'd screwed over, it was hard for me to look
- 11:01at it and say, all right, I'm going to try to
- 11:07make a case to see where maybe Diddy didn't do
- 11:11any of these things. It's just hard to come by.
- 11:13Yeah. If most people with a level mind level
- 11:17head, you know, if they watch the the documentary
- 11:21And we talked about it is coming from a certain
- 11:24direction from 50 cent But you know, these people
- 11:28are real people who knew Diddy who worked for
- 11:29Diddy There's also audio. There's also email.
- 11:34There's text messages So once you watch the doc,
- 11:37I think people will have a different mindset
- 11:40I don't know if they'll stop listening to bad
- 11:42boy music, but hey, we'll see Speaking of their
- 11:45music, I wanted to point out that they cut into
- 11:50Diddy with the Come With Me song that he did
- 11:53with Jimmy Page. It was a huge hit. Mark Curry
- 11:57talked about basically writing the song, writing
- 12:01the rap, and teaching Diddy, or Puff at the time,
- 12:05how to actually rap. And, you know, he kind of
- 12:10makes fun of Diddy, which they do throughout
- 12:12this, a couple of times in the documentary, in
- 12:15a few of the episodes, they kind of clown, again,
- 12:18his rapping ability. But as I point out, I think
- 12:21he was more of an entertainer, producer, figure,
- 12:25more than a rapper. I don't think anybody's gonna
- 12:27sit here and say, yeah, Puff Daddy Diddy is one
- 12:30of the greatest rappers ever. But... But yeah,
- 12:34so again you talk about music and the music he
- 12:36made I mean come with me the collaboration with
- 12:38Jimmy Page was huge for the Godzilla soundtrack
- 12:41And then of course I Said Mark Curry was one
- 12:46of those people who were in bad boy had some
- 12:49spots and then faded and That gets into of course
- 12:53the theme that we're gonna get into that's one
- 12:55of the themes I get from every episode, right?
- 12:58And I told you that like when you think of bad
- 13:00boy, there's only a few artists groups That had
- 13:04multiple albums and had longevity most of it
- 13:08was Boom, let me take let me use you for your
- 13:12skill and then you're out and then go on to the
- 13:14next one Diddy Puffy he's on to the next one
- 13:17One of those artists as well shine Yes, yeah
- 13:23and that obviously, you know it touched on that
- 13:26too where You know, there was the, uh, you know,
- 13:30the shooting, you know, at the, at the nightclub.
- 13:34And, uh, and as in, I'm glad you brought up that
- 13:38the Sean thing, cause you obviously will get
- 13:39to the shooting, you know, and what took place
- 13:42in, and then it's aftermath. But I, before watching
- 13:48this documentary, a lot of this stuff was out
- 13:51of sight, out of mind. The violence that surrounded
- 13:55Diddy. it's, it's unconscionable that he just
- 14:02happens to be the person that's in the places
- 14:05where all these things keep happening. Like it,
- 14:09and he's never, he's never the focal point. Like
- 14:13he always skates. He always finds a way out.
- 14:17You know, there's that. And then there was the,
- 14:20and then that same episode, you know, there was
- 14:22the, the incident that allegedly took place.
- 14:25at the recording studio, but then it's reported
- 14:28that it took place outside of the recording studio.
- 14:33And, you know, the, the, but to backtrack to
- 14:35the, to the Sean thing, you know, there were
- 14:40witnesses that said that it was Diddy. Like they,
- 14:43they, they, they, they pointed it. I said, no,
- 14:45it was, it was you. You did this. Like you shot
- 14:49me in the face and somehow it still falls on
- 14:54Sean. and he does a decade in prison. It's strange.
- 15:00Shon was another one where talented artists,
- 15:03unique voice, unique sound, he had a career path
- 15:07in front of him. One night out with Denny and
- 15:11it ruins all of it. It takes all of it out. And
- 15:14I don't know if you've looked into see what Shon's
- 15:17into now, but he's been released from prison
- 15:19and he's got his own thing going on now. You
- 15:24know, it's just, it's interesting that, that
- 15:26these things constantly, you know, from, from
- 15:29the charity basketball game to the Tupac shooting,
- 15:32to the big issue, like just all these things
- 15:34that just have these hints of bad boy on them.
- 15:37And it's, and it's like massive amounts of violence,
- 15:41if not death that seems to take place. It's just,
- 15:45it's, it's bizarre, man. Well, again, that's
- 15:47the other thing, right? To me. That's the other
- 15:50theme that keeps happening and it'll continue
- 15:53and we'll talk about these other issues and events
- 15:56that happen. And in this one, like you said,
- 16:00yeah, Natanya Rubens was the girl in the club
- 16:02that got shot in the face. She said she saw Puff
- 16:05with the gun. Sean had a gun too. I think allegedly
- 16:10they both shot, but. You know, he was dating
- 16:13JLo JLo was at the club with him that night Apparently
- 16:17there was a guy, you know, the story is of course,
- 16:19there was a guy from the neighborhood They had
- 16:21beef. So of course, you know puffy they they
- 16:24go at it shots fired At Club New York Did he
- 16:29was facing 15 years? Now here's the difference
- 16:33though, right? Oh, yeah, and the stolen gun found
- 16:36in the SUV a puff and JLo Stolen gun, yes. Allegedly,
- 16:41he offered cash and a diamond ring to the driver
- 16:44to take the fall for the gun. So like you said,
- 16:49you hit on the other issue, right? So what'd
- 16:53they say, eight months earlier, he already had
- 16:55a felony charge where, or maybe this was a different,
- 16:59yeah, this was a different one, right? Totally
- 17:02different, yeah. This was a different one, yeah.
- 17:03So I'm gonna get back to the shine one. So yeah,
- 17:07he again he had eight months earlier he and two
- 17:10guards beat up Steve stout with a phone champagne
- 17:14bottle and chair over the hate me now video where
- 17:18did he was on a cross and Hezekiah Walker told
- 17:20him is you know, it's blasphemous. He can't do
- 17:22this So did he wanted the the image removed they
- 17:25wouldn't do it So he just goes beat the hell
- 17:28out of them And they settled and they dropped
- 17:31the charges. So he got off there. The big difference
- 17:33here, though, is this is where, you know, again,
- 17:35you talk about Diddy treating his artists, treating
- 17:38his right -hand men, people in Bad Boy not paying
- 17:43them or, like I said, we talked about him messing
- 17:45with the Biggie contract and the funeral, all
- 17:48this stuff. So here we go again, right? Sean,
- 17:51like you said, he goes to prison for 10 years.
- 17:54Yes. Well, Puff had Johnny Cochran again. Johnny
- 17:58Cocker and get the devil off some charges. So,
- 18:02you know, Puff didn't give Sean one of his artists
- 18:08who was there with him in the club, that same
- 18:12lawyer. Sean had to get his own legal team. Bad
- 18:16Boy wouldn't even, you know, give him the good
- 18:19lawyers. Sean was complaining, talking about
- 18:22the lawyers, what they weren't trying to help
- 18:24him. It seemed like They were trying to spin
- 18:27it where Sean would take the fall. Now, Sean
- 18:29admitted, I believe he admitted to having a gun
- 18:31or possibly shoot right. So it just seemed like
- 18:36Sean's like, wait a minute. It seems like they're
- 18:38trying to get me to take the fall. And ultimately,
- 18:41that's what happened. Puff came out clean. He
- 18:44kept on making music, getting artists. But yeah,
- 18:48that's the big difference there was a little
- 18:51kind of dirty. You know, Diddy gets off, he gets
- 18:55Cochran. Sean doesn't get that same help, man.
- 18:58Diddy just left him high and dry. Yeah, and that's
- 19:03the, you know, the theme of this is that there's
- 19:07a, there's a trail of, there's a trail of disgruntled
- 19:11artists. There's a trail of violence, gunshots,
- 19:16literal death in this guy's wake. And still there's
- 19:21a line wrapped around the building of people
- 19:24who were willing to overlook all of that just
- 19:27to get a shot. And there's so many other opportunities
- 19:31for people, especially nowadays, 2025, plenty
- 19:34of opportunities for you to kind of go out and
- 19:36spread your wings without having the backing
- 19:38of a record label as big as Bad Boy. But it was
- 19:44just, but even back then, There were other opportunities
- 19:48and I don't know, they've always made it seem
- 19:50like throughout the documentary that Diddy was
- 19:52a really good manipulator and just leading you
- 19:54on just long enough. But the level of selfishness
- 19:58is unlike anything I've seen displayed that way.
- 20:05Because, and I said that as a disclaimer, when
- 20:09we recorded our first episode that with the documentary,
- 20:12you could paint anyone to look any way that you
- 20:14want them to look. And while that is true, Did
- 20:17he didn't do himself any favors? He didn't do
- 20:19himself any favors when it came to being someone
- 20:24who has empathy, who can understand a position
- 20:26that someone's in. And by the way, in people
- 20:29that it would take little to no effort for him
- 20:34to help them in the situations in which him and
- 20:38his record label has massively benefited from.
- 20:42It's just, I don't know, man. It changes the
- 20:48way, I wanted to make sure I got through the
- 20:51documentary first, and obviously we'll do an
- 20:52episode for episode four too. But after going
- 20:56through all of it, man, it's just hard to see
- 21:00him listen to anything that he does, listen to
- 21:04him speak, and just say, you know what, I want
- 21:08to support that guy. I want to support that artist,
- 21:11knowing what was in his wake. No, and again,
- 21:14you mentioned that theme. You mentioned him doing
- 21:16people wrong and yet still able to find talent,
- 21:21right? So Mark Curry mentions, you know, he kind
- 21:25of cut to him and he talks about, even at this
- 21:27point, early 2000s, everyone around Puff, they
- 21:31go to jail, almost die, et cetera. Like you said,
- 21:34bad things happen to everybody around them. Except
- 21:38for him. Except for Diddy. You know, Puff and
- 21:42JLo split over this whole incident. Of course,
- 21:43she don't want that on her image. She's a rising
- 21:46movie star doing her music and stuff. So then
- 21:50one of his guys, Tim Dogg Anderson, he leaves
- 21:53due to the chaos thinking that he could be the
- 21:55next one involved in something bad. So he leaves
- 22:00Diddy. Diddy's, you know, Puff Daddy, he's losing
- 22:04talent in Bad Boy, Mace. Faith Evans 112 total
- 22:08the locks. So he's got to find a new way to find
- 22:10talent. They break, they go into how he hooks
- 22:13up this deal with MTV and uh, making the band.
- 22:17So now, so now he's got a new way, a new show.
- 22:20Reality TV is kind of big at the time. So, you
- 22:23know, very smart business decision by him and
- 22:28he does, uh, you know, making the band, which
- 22:29of course launched, you know, the band, Danity
- 22:32Kane, day 26. And again, like you said, day 26.
- 22:36So here you go. New talent, young, up and coming,
- 22:41aspiring artists. Hungry artists. Yeah. He's
- 22:46like, they're ready to do whatever. Yeah. And
- 22:51the interesting thing about the making the band
- 22:54phase, especially as it was covered in the documentary,
- 22:56we'll get to some of the darker sides of it.
- 22:59But the other thing, and this is just really
- 23:02quick, is that I lived through that era. I lived
- 23:05through the first making the band, and then I
- 23:08lived through the Denity Kane Day 26 portion.
- 23:11At no point, at no point throughout either making
- 23:16the band seasons, any of them, and any of the
- 23:19artists, did you ever think that the show was
- 23:23really about the artists? It was all about Diddy.
- 23:27And when I'm saying that, I'm not saying that
- 23:29in hindsight. As this was going on, I'm like,
- 23:32okay, yeah, this is a bad boy. Take that production.
- 23:35This is about promotion of the record label.
- 23:37This is about promotion of Puff. I recognize
- 23:40that then. So much so, so obviously we see what
- 23:43happened to all of those bands. They all seem
- 23:46to crash and burn. You know, yeah. I mean, like
- 23:50that's how it went. And honestly, I think it
- 23:53was just kind of by design. Now it raised Diddy's
- 23:55profile. It made him bigger. It had him on television.
- 23:59I think they actually said it. I think it was
- 24:02one of the members from Day 26 said it in the
- 24:04documentary. Like they were the highest rated
- 24:07all black show on MTV at the time, like with
- 24:10a majority black cast. That's massive. You know,
- 24:13this is in the early 2000s. Like this was 2005,
- 24:162006. This is large. But it was all about Diddy.
- 24:20It wasn't really about the artists. So much so
- 24:22too. I don't even think you could name any anybody
- 24:24else. Could you name an artist from Day 26? Could
- 24:27you name any of them? Because I can't. I'll be
- 24:29honest. I think I missed that part. There you
- 24:32go. I think I missed like, you know, I'm a little
- 24:35older than you. Definitely the band that Eddie
- 24:38Kane, I was a part of that. Yeah, Day 26. I'm
- 24:40like, yeah, I think I completely missed that.
- 24:42And I couldn't name. Totally missed out. I couldn't
- 24:44name one. I couldn't name one song from them
- 24:46guys. me neither. No, I can't name this. I can't
- 24:49name a song. I can't name a song and I can't
- 24:52name, um, and I couldn't name like any of the
- 24:55individual artists, but it's like, but from like,
- 24:57uh, like for the first make it like the van,
- 25:00I remember Ness, uh, Choppa, Babs, Dylon, Dylon,
- 25:06Dylon, like I, like I could do a Sarah, like
- 25:09I could do that. Uh, uh, and then, um, uh, what's
- 25:12the dude, uh, Fred was the other guy. All of
- 25:15those come to mind, but for everybody else, it
- 25:17was like, nah, nah, nah. This is more about bad
- 25:19boy than it is about the artist. And then of
- 25:22course, you brought that up. I think kind of
- 25:26the darker shift of that episode was where they
- 25:35went into some of the allegations that were made
- 25:38by some of the Danity Kane. artists. And I mean,
- 25:42and there were other allegations to that, the
- 25:45members from Dirty Money, but it, yeah, it was
- 25:51a dark episode. I did, I had to kick my daughter
- 25:54out of the room. I didn't want her to have to
- 25:55sit there and watch that. And I think I told
- 25:58you, I was like, yeah, I don't like the way this
- 25:59has turned in. Let me go ahead and kick her out.
- 26:02But did anything kind of stick out to you? So
- 26:09so a couple things even before they got into
- 26:12the Danny Kane and Aubrey Was like Babs talking
- 26:16about the contract for them. Like you said they
- 26:18were hungry for stardom and she was like, you
- 26:21know, there's this big huge stack of papers that
- 26:24was the contract that nobody would ever read
- 26:27and They gave him 24 hours to sign it to be you
- 26:31know to again being bad boy And on the label
- 26:35and you know her lawyer told her they're not
- 26:37offering you uh, fame and fortune. They're, they're
- 26:40offering you fame, not for true. And by the way,
- 26:42I want to give, I love, I love Babs. I've always
- 26:46loved her as a personality. Like she, out of
- 26:48everybody, anybody from that era, man, she always
- 26:51seems so cool to me. I'm going to give her props
- 26:54for actually making sure that she had to have
- 26:55an attorney take a look at it separate. And it's
- 26:58like, Oh, yeah, by the way, here's this big ass
- 27:00contract. You got 24 hours and she probably gave
- 27:02it to the attorney who was able to go over it
- 27:04and give her the game, you know, maybe, uh, maybe
- 27:08it was, it was a big stack. But I mean, but I
- 27:11mean, those firms, I mean, honestly, I don't
- 27:13know if you noticed, but like those firms, when
- 27:14you have something like that, they literally
- 27:16just take chunks of it and then divvy it up amongst
- 27:18several paralegals and say, break this down.
- 27:21But, you know, but like you said, she, she saw
- 27:24it in front of her. She's like, look, this is
- 27:25my opportunity. Like she's from Brooklyn. We're
- 27:28biggies from big is it, you know, an inspiration.
- 27:31If you watch making the band, she could recite
- 27:34juicy word for word, like So she was, she was
- 27:38a fan. She had made it that far and won the competition
- 27:41to the point where she had a record contract
- 27:44in front of her. She knew she wasn't going to
- 27:47make a fortune, but it would give her a name
- 27:50and she would be signed a bad boy. And she chose
- 27:52to sign that contract. So I can't knock her forward,
- 27:55but I do give her props for making sure an attorney
- 27:57wants to over it. For sure. Nope. Nobody that,
- 28:00you know, is trying to make it to be famous would
- 28:03turn it down, right? Again, Even though Diddy,
- 28:05you've been through all the stuff you've been
- 28:07through, I mean, you still are gonna sign with
- 28:09Bad Boy because Bad Boy was still rolling. And
- 28:12at this time, I'll give a little, this is where
- 28:16you say, this was kind of, I don't know if it's
- 28:17a good and a bad thing, but you saw early episode
- 28:21of Diddy running as an intern to get stuff and
- 28:25bring it back so quickly. His work ethic was
- 28:29top notch, right? So, you know. He was pushing
- 28:32the band, making them walk from Manhattan to
- 28:34Brooklyn for cheesecake. And if it's not right,
- 28:38then he send it back. And he was like, yeah,
- 28:41make sure it don't have no this on it. You make
- 28:43sure it don't have no... And I think it's...
- 28:46So it's aberable in some ways, because he was
- 28:50like, that's what I was willing to do. Let me
- 28:53see if you guys are willing to do it. And people
- 28:55are like, man, I lived here my whole life and
- 28:57ain't never walked from Manhattan to Brooklyn.
- 29:01It was also a television program, and it made
- 29:04for a fantastic TV. Exactly. And if people, if
- 29:08you don't already know, reality television maybe
- 29:11was actually reality television one season, and
- 29:15then after that it's crazy. So out of all this,
- 29:19though, again, we're going to get into, before
- 29:21we get into Aubrey and Danny D. Kane and all
- 29:23this, you know, explicit stuff, really dark stuff,
- 29:28the making the band they talk about, again, Obviously,
- 29:32he's already, Puff, he's already blown up. He's
- 29:35got Bad Boy, he's got doing his stills, doing
- 29:37his music, got his Sean John blowing up, Cologne,
- 29:40like you said, everything he's got. They said
- 29:43it gave him pop credibility, making the band
- 29:45dead. And again, that's a whole nother audience
- 29:48outside of the hip hop and the rap, right? And
- 29:51it almost, I put this like, it's almost like
- 29:55he had a, you know, they said, and I think maybe
- 29:57they said this, like, he had this God complex.
- 29:59So he is now, again, jumping even, he's risen
- 30:05even higher. Like you said, throughout all the
- 30:09bad stuff, he still comes back on top and just
- 30:12keeps getting bigger and bigger. And then it
- 30:17gets into, again, Aubrey of Danny D. Kane sharing
- 30:22an email that Puff sent to her. This led in,
- 30:26again, he had a gun complex and he got bigger
- 30:28and bigger. rising, you know, to bigger, more
- 30:31power, more fame, all this. So he began, this
- 30:35was when he began, as they say, kind of grooming
- 30:40Aubrey, telling her she's the pretty one, she's
- 30:44this, she's that. And then of course she reads
- 30:47an email that Puffett sent to her that was pretty
- 30:50explicit. The saddest part was the pictures in
- 30:56which they painted Aubrey where you saw her as
- 31:00this young girl, like, you know, dancing and
- 31:05singing and just wanted to be a star. And then,
- 31:09you know, she tells the story about how she wasn't
- 31:11even looking to do it. And, you know, her family
- 31:14came to her and was like, Hey, we think this
- 31:16will be a great opportunity for you. And then
- 31:17it ends, you know, like this, you know, because
- 31:20they saw her potential and they saw that she,
- 31:22I mean, and she's incredibly talented. And unfortunately,
- 31:25she just got snatched up by that bad boy bug.
- 31:30And it was sad to see, sad to read, to look at
- 31:35her just kind of looking at it. And I don't know
- 31:43what would come of this. I don't know what's
- 31:47going to come of it. I know they said, throughout
- 31:50the documentary, man, they made it a point to
- 31:52say that he's got something like 77 pending lawsuits.
- 31:56Yeah, they kept flashing that. Basically, it's
- 32:00telling the whole story, but then it would show
- 32:02that obviously he's on trial. This is what he's
- 32:05accused of. This is what he's guilty of. Here's
- 32:08what's pending. Yeah, 77 civil cases still pending.
- 32:13Yes, yeah still pending and and you know, and
- 32:15of course did he's just like oh It's another
- 32:17one and you know, you know, I'd never did any
- 32:19of this to her You were there the whole time
- 32:21and you know, just kind of paint this story But
- 32:24I mean and I know and I know this is you know,
- 32:27it's in the song, dude He literally wrote a song
- 32:29more money more problems, you know when you're
- 32:32that rich lawsuits are just kind of part of the
- 32:34game But there's plenty of people who are filthy
- 32:38rich who don't have these types of accusations
- 32:41that are scattered over 30 years. I don't know.
- 32:47I hate to say where there's smoke, there's fire,
- 32:50but it definitely appears like something's burning.
- 32:55Yeah. And again, like you said, there's a lot
- 32:59of alleged things, a lot of alleged stories,
- 33:03incidents that happened. This email is again,
- 33:06not alleged. This was an email that he sent to
- 33:08her. And I'm not gonna get into super details.
- 33:11I'm just gonna say He he basically said he wanted
- 33:15to have sex with her. Yeah, and at this time
- 33:18he is her boss He is over a bad boy. She is an
- 33:22artist on the label and He and again, he is saying
- 33:28this is what I want to do This is how I do women
- 33:32This was like, you know kind of not word -for
- 33:36-word, but yeah, you get the gist of the email
- 33:39And like you said, the email is proof, the video
- 33:42with Cassie is proof. These are things that can
- 33:44say, yeah, this proof would make me believe the
- 33:49alleged things that are also said. But what got
- 33:52me, I don't know if you caught this on the email,
- 33:56but as explicit as the email was, he signs it,
- 34:03God bless Puff, God is the greatest. Yeah. And
- 34:09it threw me off, and I'm laughing because it's
- 34:12almost a joke that you would send someone that
- 34:18email, and that's how you sign it. And then it
- 34:23gets me back to that God complex. And in his
- 34:26mind, because later you'll see something else
- 34:29where he compares himself, is he talking about
- 34:32God? Or is he talking about himself? Or is he
- 34:36talking about himself? Right? Yeah. Yeah, I caught
- 34:39that too. You know what I mean? Right? So, you
- 34:43know, and this was a sad thing because, and again,
- 34:45this is something else you'll find a theme was
- 34:48again, she says she turned them down or she never
- 34:53acted on anything. And then she was fired six
- 34:56months later because he said she was a problem.
- 35:00Her energy was bad for the group. But then we
- 35:03also learned that Again, he was on to the next
- 35:05thing already. Yes, because on the side he was
- 35:08working with Dom Richard and Kalena Harper on
- 35:14Diddy Dirty Money. Yeah. Yeah. And that's another
- 35:17thing where, you know, this is, he's almost like
- 35:21a, like a succubus for talented, starving artists
- 35:24where he can always have the next one line up.
- 35:28where he can take all their talents, use them
- 35:31to his benefit, and then the second he's annoyed
- 35:33with them, the second they start to give him
- 35:36a little pushback, the second where he feel like
- 35:39maybe they're trying to outshine him, the second
- 35:42that they give him any resistance, he just gets
- 35:44rid of them. And I think probably the more interesting
- 35:50thing is when you look at... how probably the
- 35:55last 15 years of his career is predominantly
- 35:58centered around women. It's not a ton of dudes.
- 36:03You know what I mean? And I don't know if that's
- 36:06strategic or maybe it's just an evolution in
- 36:08his control and his power or influence, but it's
- 36:13definitely something that I didn't miss. It was
- 36:16something that was evident to me, where I could
- 36:18see it, where it's like, OK. You know Danity
- 36:22Kane and you know Dirty Money and Cassie. It's
- 36:25like, you know, you're attached at the hip to
- 36:28these female artists I don't know it was Yeah,
- 36:31it was very interesting stuff Yeah, yeah, and
- 36:35you just mentioned again. Yeah being outshined.
- 36:37So again Dirty Money involved him. Yes, right
- 36:40Yeah, so another way to get him back in the limelight
- 36:44and And then of course then it rolls into He
- 36:49gets in a little bit of dirty money. They talk
- 36:50about, you know, relationship. Like, he had a
- 36:54special relationship with Donna Sharp. Even though
- 36:57Kalena Harper will find out maybe was closer
- 37:01to Puff than, you know, Dawn. But then comes
- 37:07Cassie. Yes. Yeah. To Bad Boy in 2006 at age
- 37:1319. And at the time... another, another theme
- 37:19here we'll get into. She was dating Ryan Leslie,
- 37:22a producer who Puff had worked with before. They,
- 37:27of course, saw Cassie, heard Cassie, and they
- 37:30talk about that she was recording within two
- 37:36weeks. Yes. Yeah. Yeah. And, you know, of course,
- 37:43Diddy, as he always does, he makes his move.
- 37:46He, you know, he claims somebody else's girl.
- 37:50He, he put, he pushes in on them and, you know,
- 37:54I don't know it to have somebody that possessive
- 37:58over women. I mean, I'm, I've never been that
- 38:01kind of guy. I've, I've, I've seen guys like
- 38:03that. Just I've experienced in life, nothing
- 38:05to that level of, you know, extreme, but it's
- 38:08almost like his, his goal was to, was to go after
- 38:12someone else's girl. It's just, I don't know,
- 38:14man. It's a part of that power, right? Yeah.
- 38:18Yeah. But it's like you, but he already has the
- 38:21power. Like the sad thing is no matter what,
- 38:25he'll never, he'll never reach a maximum power.
- 38:28What you going to have all the women do. You
- 38:30want every woman on the planet. You want to take
- 38:35every, you want to take a wife from every husband.
- 38:39Like that's what you want. Wife side chick. He
- 38:42was taking, he literally taking everybody. Yeah,
- 38:48like I said, I mean they're recording and they
- 38:51said Ryan Leslie was there at recordings and
- 38:53then all of a sudden he wasn't. And then Cassie
- 38:56had a 10 album deal, which is unheard of. A 10
- 39:00album deal, you know, and then, you know, there's
- 39:04the, you know, the Kim Porter... He was still...
- 39:08Yeah, the Kim Porter evolution where, you know,
- 39:11she... She sees it. She sees what's going on.
- 39:13She sees, you know, him spending a lot of time
- 39:15with Cassie and is like, you know what? This
- 39:18relationship is over. Like this, this is a wrap.
- 39:20Like I'm out. But he had both of them at a stretch.
- 39:24Yeah. He had him at a stretch and she had a stretch
- 39:27where Cassie was in front of people and then
- 39:29sometimes they were together. I mean, he literally
- 39:32had his cake and eating it too. Like he had his
- 39:35wife and girlfriend. Um, yeah. And like you said,
- 39:39yeah, she finally said, no, this is Yeah, I'm
- 39:42out. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. She had enough and
- 39:46you know, I mean, ultimately he got what he wanted
- 39:48and, and I'm, and I'm not going to try to say
- 39:50this as a, I don't want to say this to be insulting.
- 39:54I don't want to say this to be degrading in any
- 39:57way. I, I forgot how beautiful Cassie was. Like
- 40:05I just, like, I, like I always knew she was attractive.
- 40:07I'll always, but, but in And I don't think it
- 40:10had anything to do with her, her youth. She,
- 40:13she was a natural beauty. And you know, for,
- 40:17for someone to be attracted to her fine. I mean,
- 40:19it's, it's obvious. I get it. But she was also
- 40:22incredibly talented. And even with that, I still
- 40:25don't think with her beauty and her talent, she
- 40:27never actually hit a top level. It was as if
- 40:31she was intentionally held back. Well, there's
- 40:35a reason again, back to that theme again. another
- 40:39artist who had you know, I hit an album and then
- 40:45Then it's just like she became his girl, right?
- 40:48You know, like I said, they was he was paying
- 40:50for everything for Cassie. She had to pay for
- 40:52anything So again, call it what you want grooming
- 40:55or dating or whatever the case may be but uh,
- 40:58you know, here's a young aspiring talent where
- 41:01he's obviously Offering her the world And then
- 41:07it goes dark again Then we get into the gigolo
- 41:14And they start yeah Having her call him he comes
- 41:22They do their thing and it was mainly, you know
- 41:26at the orders of puff apparently according to
- 41:29him Puff was they said face covered and he was
- 41:37called Frank Black As we you know go back to
- 41:43hypnotize and Not again not a lot of detail,
- 41:48but you know it was mainly diddies in the corner
- 41:53Gigolo Cassie doing their thing lots of baby
- 41:56oil recording long sessions and Gigolo You know
- 42:02said it was a name Clayton Howard You know paid
- 42:05six thousand he would come every two to three
- 42:08weeks for them for eight years There are a lot
- 42:13of graphic details that I'm not gonna just go
- 42:18into because I don't think it's necessary, but
- 42:20a lot of graphic explicit, again, details that
- 42:24they would have him do and Cassie. Yeah, and
- 42:33the evolution of that where it's secret. and
- 42:40discreet at first. And then, you know, then Diddy
- 42:43starts to get more involved, you know, little
- 42:46by little, you know, issue, you know, issuing
- 42:49commands, being in full control as you keep mentioning
- 42:53the God complex, who's, I didn't tell you, you
- 42:56could do that. Who? No, no, no. You don't do,
- 42:58you don't, you do what I tell you to do, you
- 43:00know, and then of course kind of the, the, the
- 43:05end result is him full fledged. involved, you
- 43:09know, in these exploits with, you know, with,
- 43:12with, with Cassie, you know, and this sex worker,
- 43:15you know, according to his allegations. So, you
- 43:18know, ongoing for years it, um, yeah. Flying
- 43:23him from New York to New York, across the country
- 43:27to Miami, which is why did he's in trouble, uh,
- 43:31a little bit. And then, uh, you know, they mentioned,
- 43:34you know, this, this struck me too was They always
- 43:37caught him on March 9th. Oh yeah, the day that
- 43:41Biggie died. Yes. And he said that they would
- 43:45party three to four days with, obviously, escapades
- 43:51with Cassie for three to four days. And again,
- 43:55ecstasy was involved. So a lot of drinking, a
- 43:59lot of drugs, a lot of sex. And it just kind
- 44:03of struck me, though, that he would party. on
- 44:07the anniversary of Biggie's death. Well, and
- 44:09I'll tell you this, man, when I was a young man,
- 44:13I attended a lot, I attended a lot more funerals
- 44:16as a younger person than I did as, you know,
- 44:18as I age. Clearly that'll change at some point.
- 44:22But I remembered once it was during a funeral,
- 44:26I remember my aunt stood up once at a funeral
- 44:29and said, you know, never shame someone and how
- 44:31they choose to grieve. Everyone grieves differently.
- 44:35Some people try to remember the good times and
- 44:38laugh and smile, and some people are just crying
- 44:41their eyeballs out. So I try to be a little cautious
- 44:45when it comes to that. Everybody kind of deals
- 44:46with their pain in a certain way. And if that
- 44:49was how he was choosing to do it, if he wasn't
- 44:51hurting anybody, I couldn't have any issues with
- 44:53it. And from how it was described, I don't think
- 44:58he was doing anything other than paying a sex
- 45:01worker. He wasn't really doing anything illegal.
- 45:05However, the one thing that kind of stood out
- 45:08to me in all of that, and it may have been really
- 45:11benign as a really small subject, when he mentioned
- 45:15how whenever a Tupac song came on that he made
- 45:17him skip it. Oh, yeah. Yeah, during their escapades,
- 45:23yeah, they would have music in the end. Yeah,
- 45:26apparently they had music set the scene or mixtapes
- 45:31or something. It's like, but if a Tupac track
- 45:33came on, yeah, apparently Diddy was like, nah,
- 45:35you got to skip that. We ain't going to listen
- 45:36to that. That was funny. That was telling as
- 45:40well. They mentioned Diddy, you know the puff
- 45:44didn't drink or do drugs until about early 96
- 45:48where he cut his wrist So he started to take
- 45:50a Percocet They talked about him going on 14
- 45:54day work binges with cocaine. Yeah Again, the
- 45:59gigolo Howard said they had baby oil laced with
- 46:04drugs Yeah, which is, which is, which is by the
- 46:10way, which is an allegation that both Diddy and
- 46:13Cassie denied, but even still, like it makes,
- 46:19it makes a lot of sense because throughout episodes
- 46:24three and four, the allegations are repeated
- 46:26that it's like, if you were in the room with
- 46:29them consuming anything, you were on whatever
- 46:32they were on. You were drugged. Yes. Everybody,
- 46:35everybody had some of that in their system. They
- 46:38didn't you know, maybe he thought it was I don't
- 46:40know there was so much baby or who knows And
- 46:44again they get in again talking about these sessions
- 46:47these escapades lasting, you know, three to four
- 46:49days and You know, did you go you know talking
- 46:53about Howard was talking about again giving a
- 46:56little You know track inside track about the
- 47:01Cassie stuff we saw the video now we see yeah
- 47:04the violence, right? He said, you know Forcing
- 47:08her to do it They would argue she would run they'd
- 47:11have to go get her and puff will get violent
- 47:14You know witnessing her Puff, you know punching
- 47:18her Cassie in the chest kicking her you brought
- 47:22up the jealousy all this stuff, you know was
- 47:26going down and And again, we are taking the word
- 47:30of a as you said sex worker gigolo. Yeah Yeah,
- 47:34yeah, yeah, gigolo. And, and he, I mean, he,
- 47:40he seemed to do it kind of, you know, unapologetically,
- 47:44you know, other, other than the things that he
- 47:47witnessed, he was just like, look, man, like
- 47:49somebody was going to pay him to do that. They
- 47:52were paying him lots of money to do it consistently
- 47:54over years. You know, I'm not going to say it
- 47:58looked like he enjoys that kind of work, but
- 48:00clearly it wasn't going to stop him from doing
- 48:02it. And he alleged some things that he witnessed,
- 48:08some of the violence, some of the threats. And
- 48:12that's just, I don't know, maybe that's just
- 48:15part of the business, part of the industry of
- 48:17being a sex worker. He was willing to live with
- 48:19it at that time. And then obviously, the time
- 48:22just kind of ran out. It just kind of ran its
- 48:25course, I guess. Yeah, I mean, I got thoughts
- 48:29on that, even though he is what he is. He is
- 48:32a sex worker, a gigolo. At some point, man, you
- 48:35gotta be a man. I don't care how much they payin'
- 48:38you. If you're seeing a female get beat, I don't
- 48:41know that, you know, I don't know how you stand
- 48:43and watch that and keep doin' it. But, again,
- 48:48that's just kinda my thoughts on it. They kinda
- 48:53cut to a few things to the recent Before His
- 48:57Arrest puff. security Roger Bonds talking about
- 49:00that puff you know he was going back to the streets
- 49:02because you know the world had turned their back
- 49:05on him due to the allegations so he was trying
- 49:07to get back out in the streets even though we
- 49:10always know puff acted like he was from the streets
- 49:12and you know again he is a music producer he
- 49:16is in bad boy and all this stuff so they kind
- 49:19of hit on that a little bit they obviously notice
- 49:22you know puff only cared about himself and of
- 49:25course they noticed how he treated others including
- 49:28Cassie, and this is where we get cut to the full
- 49:32video that most have seen, again, of Diddy assaulting
- 49:36Cassie in the hall at the elevator, dragging
- 49:40her by her hair or hood, kicking her multiple
- 49:42times while she was down, and then we get into
- 49:46the charges of Cassie filing the rape charges.
- 49:51We get... Joe Dickerson, Neil, she comes forward
- 49:54from the 91 incident where she said Puff had
- 49:57drugged and raped her and showed the video to
- 49:59people. Donald Richard files assault charges.
- 50:02Dozens at this point lawsuits filed. It gets
- 50:06up to like we talked about, 77 pending, 100 civil
- 50:10cases total were filed. His LA Miami home are
- 50:14rated. The rundown is again, he's serving right
- 50:20now. He ended up serving 50 months. They get
- 50:22into that again. It's not a spoiler. It is a
- 50:26spoiler, but yeah, he, you know, he's serving.
- 50:29Um, I just got a, like a real wrap up, unless
- 50:32you want to hit on that real quick. No, no, no,
- 50:35no, no, you correct. So all these charges came
- 50:37out. And then of course we got this again, more
- 50:41recent video before the arrest from the videographer.
- 50:45And he, to me, you know, he looks like a broken
- 50:49man. You know as most of us we kind of get out
- 50:53of shape as we get older But it looked like you
- 50:56know you see like medicine bottles on his nightstand
- 50:59Again, he's on the phone. He's he's trying to
- 51:02do everything he can obviously to get him off
- 51:05these charges and help him with These allegations
- 51:08that are coming out looks like he's not got sleep
- 51:11again. He just sometimes gazing out the window
- 51:14Obviously he goes out to the streets and like
- 51:17you said he's still taking pictures with people
- 51:19and maybe that's like a to make him feel good
- 51:21that he still can do that and again all these
- 51:27people coming forward all these allegations it's
- 51:31you know these former employees former artists
- 51:34a gigolo take their word for what it is right
- 51:38they either got fired or kicked out of bad boy
- 51:41but but it's kind of again it's a theme it's
- 51:45a trend of these artists or these employees who
- 51:49was like, yeah, they either owes me money, he
- 51:52used me, he did this, or I saw this, I heard
- 51:56this. But I really took it out of those recent
- 52:00videos that just, he looked like a broken man.
- 52:03I don't know if you saw the same thing. Yeah,
- 52:06he looked like, I believe the term now is self
- 52:14-medicating. He looked like someone who who was
- 52:20taking things and doing things that were so opposite
- 52:25for what we've always kind of seen from him.
- 52:29And I know like you mentioned, you could tell
- 52:31like, damn, he put on some weight during this
- 52:34time. And it's like, the stress would do that
- 52:37and he looked more broke. But I mean, you can
- 52:42have, I mean, I don't know what it's like. to
- 52:46have those types of allegations pending towards
- 52:49you, to feel like you've got people, whether
- 52:52you deserve it or not, people coming after you.
- 52:56And it seemed like, and I don't know if you caught
- 53:03this part either, I didn't see when everything
- 53:10kind of came to a head and they're kind of showing
- 53:12that footage. of him days before he's eventually
- 53:16arrested. Don't remember him reaching out to
- 53:20anyone of a celebrity status. I didn't see him
- 53:26reaching out to any of his peers. He knows a
- 53:28lot of powerful people, man. He knows a lot of
- 53:31people with a lot of influence. And the people
- 53:35that he were calling to vouch for him were people
- 53:38that he had already taken advantage of and it
- 53:42stripped down. and have some sort of disdain
- 53:45toward him. And those were the people that were
- 53:47left on his list to call to try to help him out
- 53:50of a jam. It was, yeah, it really, it really,
- 53:56that part really stood out to me. It's like,
- 53:58you don't have not one celebrity you can call,
- 54:00man. Look, I, yeah, I think in the next episode,
- 54:06we're going to get into I got a take on that.
- 54:11But I got thoughts on that as well, though. I
- 54:14can still get into it without naming what goes
- 54:16on the next episode. But, you know, I thought
- 54:19about that. You know, I thought about, in general,
- 54:23celebrities speaking out on his behalf. Like,
- 54:28you don't hear anybody. And again, you forget
- 54:31how time flies. Like, the last time, one, he
- 54:34had a hit. One, you know, he was really in the
- 54:37limelight. and it hits on that later. But yeah,
- 54:41I noticed the same thing. It was, where's all
- 54:45his celebrities? Now, again, they kept showing
- 54:47videos of him on Ellen. Well, she didn't do herself
- 54:50any favors on her show. So, you know. That's
- 54:52true too. You know what I mean? Wait, wait. Ellen
- 54:55would be a horrible ally to have because I mean,
- 55:01Ellen might, I mean, for all we know, Ellen might
- 55:03be the white lesbian diddy. Yeah, exactly. She,
- 55:08you know. the allegations of how she treated
- 55:11her employees on her show, and that's a whole
- 55:15flip -flop of the image she gave us, and we're
- 55:17not gonna go into her, but again, that's what
- 55:19I thought about. I was like, man, the only video,
- 55:21they got her, you know, like Diddy being nice
- 55:23with Ellen, and I'm like, ooh, that's not gonna
- 55:26help her any, and you know, it's the same image
- 55:29that we get, and we get this again, like we talk
- 55:31about, celebrities, they give you an image, that's
- 55:34what you see, but you don't know. behind the
- 55:37scenes, behind closed doors, what people are
- 55:40doing. And when it comes to light, it's not always
- 55:43great. But yeah, you would think that somebody,
- 55:48especially in the hip hop world, would have his
- 55:51back. But again, that theme of using people and,
- 55:57you know, taking their talent and then, you know,
- 56:02prospering off of it and then moving on to the
- 56:03next one. I think it come back to bite him and
- 56:06you're talking about him being stressed and we
- 56:08said You know, he would be stressed with all
- 56:10these charges allegations But dude has faced
- 56:13other charges before Yes, so it's crazy to think
- 56:16that this was got what got him Stressed. Yeah,
- 56:20right. He wasn't as confident now as he was back
- 56:24even with the Tupac the biggie Like I said, the
- 56:29club incident, the other assault charges, everything
- 56:32that has happened even to this point, that this,
- 56:37now again, 100 cases will do that to you probably.
- 56:41And there were some serious charges. But again,
- 56:44still, he's faced charges before. He's faced
- 56:46these things before. But as I mentioned too,
- 56:50he is famous, but not as... in the music industry,
- 56:57like I said, he doesn't have a hit lately. So
- 56:59it's not like bad boy is booming right now. So
- 57:03it's not, you know, it's a little bit different
- 57:05because his days have half passed him. He has
- 57:08aged. It's not the same. Yeah, no, no, it's not.
- 57:14And I mean, yeah, and maybe, I mean, his name
- 57:18just doesn't carry the weight. You said it like
- 57:20it's been a while since he's had a hit, you know,
- 57:23and maybe he's burned some bridges. And I mean,
- 57:26he's toxic at this moment. So a lot of that stuff
- 57:30just kind of makes sense. It all kind of ties
- 57:32together. But no, I mean, all of that kind of
- 57:35leads into the ending of the documentary. And
- 57:38like you say, yeah, we can touch on that in episode
- 57:41four. Yes. So that's episode three for the Diddy
- 57:49Dock. And let's see here, yeah. So that's another
- 57:53episode of Fanatically Speaking. I am Kent, the
- 57:56co -host and promoter. I am Log Off, the Log
- 57:58Off legend, the hater of social media, the co
- 58:01-host and producer of the show. Thanks again.
- 58:03So that was episode three of Sean Combs, The
- 58:07Reckoning. Yeah, we'll go ahead and do an episode
- 58:11four and just kind of go ahead and close it out.
- 58:15It's grown on me a little bit just as a watching
- 58:18experience. So I hope you guys had a chance to
- 58:20kind of watch it too and just kind of listen
- 58:22to our perspectives on it. Again, this was our
- 58:24era, man. We lived through this, you know, from
- 58:26beginning to end. And, you know, we know this
- 58:28quite well. You know, a lot of things that we
- 58:31forgot and a lot of things that we had to kind
- 58:33of help, you know, the documentary helped us
- 58:34connect the dots on, but it's definitely something
- 58:37that we wanted to take some time to cover. Follow
