- 0:00[SPEAKER_00]: Jacksonville Jaguar's fans welcome in to Duval daily presented by jing Jack.com and fuel it by brass tax coffee right now we're getting into some bold predictions for the Jaguars 2026 NFL season and it is NFL game day.
- 0:12[SPEAKER_00]: It's not Jaguars game day today, but it is NFL game day.
- 0:15[SPEAKER_00]: We have NFL kickoff this evening, which is very, very exciting.
- 0:20[SPEAKER_00]: I'm fired up for it.
- 0:20[SPEAKER_00]: We also have club Jaguar this
- 0:27[SPEAKER_00]: doing the podcast live obviously with the UCF Jaguar and Jason from Jags United, but I will also certainly be having that game up to monitor while we're recording and hanging out with y'all and then going to hopefully be able to watch that second half unhindered, right, excited for it.
- 0:47[SPEAKER_00]: It's excited for NFL football.
- 0:49[SPEAKER_00]: Two straight days of NFL football here and then
- 0:52[SPEAKER_00]: couple day break and then Sunday is going to be absolutely wild leading into a big Monday night of football as well.
- 0:59[SPEAKER_00]: So the NFL is backfokes.
- 1:01[SPEAKER_00]: It is really back.
- 1:02[SPEAKER_00]: I am so excited.
- 1:03[SPEAKER_00]: But I'm also excited to get into these bold predictions.
- 1:06[SPEAKER_00]: It's all jacks all the time here.
- 1:07[SPEAKER_00]: If you enjoy the content, please like and subscribe.
- 1:10[SPEAKER_00]: You can also hit that high button.
- 1:11[SPEAKER_00]: Let me know a bold prediction that you have for the Jaguars in the comment section below.
- 1:16[SPEAKER_00]: So, if you missed the official record prediction yesterday that I have for the Jaguars and kind of season prediction team-wise, I do have the Jaguars 12 and 5 AFC South Champs and making an AFC Championship game appearance.
- 1:31[SPEAKER_00]: So,
- 1:32[SPEAKER_00]: I look at the jags and the Texans and the AFC South clearly the favorites, and they should be like I personally I don't believe in the cults, like yes, I do like Shane's stacking a lot as a coach, I think that Lou and Arumos are very good coach, I think that they have
- 1:47[SPEAKER_00]: a good talent level throughout the roster, but you look at some of their biggest players are just coming off of injuries.
- 1:54[SPEAKER_00]: I'm gonna say biggest players, I mean, literally like their most important players, like a Daniel Jones, Alec Pierce, Soss Gardner.
- 2:02[SPEAKER_00]: So I think that the jags are in certainly a much better situation than the cults, but then you look at the jags and the Texans.
- 2:10[SPEAKER_00]: I just believe in the jags coaching staff
- 2:15[SPEAKER_00]: They have a more balanced team, offensively defensively.
- 2:19[SPEAKER_00]: Like the Texans clearly have the best defense, probably in the NFL, that's fair.
- 2:24[SPEAKER_00]: But I think that their offense is way, way down.
- 2:29[SPEAKER_00]: In terms of the rankings right now, they still got a lot to prove on the offensive line.
- 2:35[SPEAKER_00]: And so I think that they kind of leaned in to trying to be this much better run team this year.
- 2:40[SPEAKER_00]: The Texans did, which I think will be little served them well against a lot of teams, but maybe not against the Jaguars.
- 2:48[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 2:48[SPEAKER_00]: The Jaguars have the best run, even some football or at least one of them.
- 2:52[SPEAKER_00]: So you look at that and I think the Jags are going to be able to edge out the Texans at the top of the division.
- 3:00[SPEAKER_00]: I do think the Texans will finish close to 12 and 5 maybe 11 and 6.
- 3:05[SPEAKER_00]: I look at their schedule and I definitely see potential for you know 11 12 wins.
- 3:12[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think that they're going to be this juggernaut that wins every game because there's going to be variants because I think most of their games are going to be close.
- 3:19[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think they're going to be blowing teams out.
- 3:22[SPEAKER_00]: Whereas I think the Jaguars, you look at what they did down the stretch last year, they have the ability to win games by double digits.
- 3:29[SPEAKER_00]: I think much more consistently than the Texans do.
- 3:32[SPEAKER_00]: That's my take on that.
- 3:33[SPEAKER_00]: So I do have the Jaguars as the F.C.
- 3:35[SPEAKER_00]: South champs back to back, which is obviously a bold
- 3:41[SPEAKER_00]: Forget F.C.
- 3:42[SPEAKER_00]: South champs.
- 3:42[SPEAKER_00]: They haven't made the playoffs and back to back years since 98.99.
- 3:46[SPEAKER_00]: So yes, this is a very bold prediction just based on historical precedent.
- 3:52[SPEAKER_00]: But I think that they're going to do that.
- 3:53[SPEAKER_00]: And I think they're going to make an F.C.
- 3:54[SPEAKER_00]: Championship game appearance.
- 3:57[SPEAKER_00]: And in 2026 here, obviously it'll be the year 2027 at that point, but 2026 season.
- 4:04[SPEAKER_00]: So I don't, I just can't in good faith say, I think that they're going to win the Super Bowl when I do look at some teams that just feel more complete right now.
- 4:13[SPEAKER_00]: However, thanks change.
- 4:17[SPEAKER_00]: The Jaguars, if certain things play out in certain ways throughout the season with some of the other teams that I also have at the top of the league, you could very easily see the Jaguars, punching their ticket to the Super Bowl and if they do that, you never know what happens, right?
- 4:32[SPEAKER_00]: So right now my official prediction is 12 and 5 FC Southchamps, FC Championship Game Appearance.
- 4:38[SPEAKER_00]: And part of that is I think that they will be buoyed by their divisional schedule in the AFC South.
- 4:44[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, they play the Texans twice.
- 4:46[SPEAKER_00]: I believe they'll split with the Texans, but then I think they're going to sweep the rest of the division just as they did last year.
- 4:52[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think the Titans magically got this secret sauce to take down the Jaguars after they could even compete with the Jaguars last year.
- 5:00[SPEAKER_00]: Quite frankly, I don't think that they've taken that many steps forward to be a team that can really contend with the Jaguars for 60 minutes.
- 5:08[SPEAKER_00]: I just don't see that.
- 5:10[SPEAKER_00]: So I have them sweeping the tight ends.
- 5:11[SPEAKER_00]: Then you have the cold, so I already talked about, you know, throughout the last decade plus.
- 5:19[SPEAKER_00]: The Jaguars just own the Colts in Jacksonville, and I do think that that has become a mental block for the Colts.
- 5:26[SPEAKER_00]: I think that that's been very difficult for them to deal with, and then I just think they're the better team.
- 5:30[SPEAKER_00]: I think they'll be able to win in Indy in the final game of the season, you know, potentially to...
- 5:37[SPEAKER_00]: vault themselves into aFC Southchamps, potentially to help their playoff seating and potentially to kick the cults out of the playoffs.
- 5:45[SPEAKER_00]: Like as much as I talk about the cults and not really believing them as in them as much, I still think that they are a middle tier aFC team right now and in a wild aFC that could be competing for the playoffs and in the final week of the season.
- 5:59[SPEAKER_00]: So I think the Jaguars will basically need that game.
- 6:03[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I think that they'll be able to get it
- 6:07[SPEAKER_00]: So, yeah, five and one in the vision is a, again, a bold prediction because it's just difficult to win five divisional games, but it's also one of those things where I think that it's very realistic for the Jaguars this year to do that once again.
- 6:24[SPEAKER_00]: And now we get into some more individual predictions, right?
- 6:29[SPEAKER_00]: Trevor Lawrence, I have 40 touchdowns.
- 6:32[SPEAKER_00]: And to make it bold, I had to say 40, right?
- 6:35[SPEAKER_00]: Like, we're not just talking about passing touchdowns.
- 6:37[SPEAKER_00]: We're talking about total touchdowns for Trevor Lawrence.
- 6:39[SPEAKER_00]: Last year, he got extremely close to 40.
- 6:43[SPEAKER_00]: And he did that despite having a rough start to the season.
- 6:47[SPEAKER_00]: And when I say rough, I mean, up and down, not consistent, learning the offense,
- 6:52[SPEAKER_00]: receivers dropping the ball literally, you know, so it wasn't a perfect start to the season by any stretch, a perfect start to the Trevor Lawrence Liam Cohen experience here, but Trevor Lawrence was able to score what?
- 7:08[SPEAKER_00]: 29, 29 passing touchdowns.
- 7:10[SPEAKER_00]: What was it?
- 7:12[SPEAKER_00]: Nine rushing touchdowns.
- 7:13[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, so yeah, 38 total touchdowns last year.
- 7:17[SPEAKER_00]: I think you look at what he's able to do this year.
- 7:21[SPEAKER_00]: I think that he's going to be able to get to 40.
- 7:25[SPEAKER_00]: just based on the fact that if you look at what he was doing down the stretch last year the last half of the season, he was on pace for way more than 40 total touchdowns.
- 7:34[SPEAKER_00]: Now, while the rushing touchdowns come down a little bit probably, I mean, most quarterbacks just aren't stacking back to back nine touchdown seasons.
- 7:42[SPEAKER_00]: But I also think that the passing touchdowns will come up.
- 7:45[SPEAKER_00]: And like my honest evaluation of this is that Trevor Lawrence will probably score
- 7:55[SPEAKER_00]: Which, like, that's the range I see, but to make it bold, I went with 40, and that would be incredible.
- 8:05[SPEAKER_00]: That would be, like, something Jack Wars have never seen, something that, you know, most franchises quite frankly have not seen a 40 touchdown quarterback season.
- 8:17[SPEAKER_00]: So that would be huge for Fort Trevor Lawrence to kind of get
- 8:23[SPEAKER_00]: National media and fans analysts all over the place there are some out there that I think kind of realize what Trevor Lawrence has become but
- 8:31[SPEAKER_00]: There's a lot that's still cast a lot of doubt and throw a lot of shade towards Trevor Lawrence.
- 8:35[SPEAKER_00]: I think 40 touchdowns would do a lot to kind of silence.
- 8:38[SPEAKER_00]: Those critics heading out of the 20, 26 season.
- 8:43[SPEAKER_00]: So I think he's going to be able to get somewhere in that range, but we'll go with 40 just to be bold there.
- 8:50[SPEAKER_00]: And if he gets 40 touchdowns, tossing the ball all over the yard.
- 8:56[SPEAKER_00]: And I think the Jaguar is absolutely will toss it all over the yard.
- 9:01[SPEAKER_00]: a huge Parker Washington season, which we will get to his, my prediction for his yardage here in just a moment.
- 9:08[SPEAKER_00]: But first, tonight, you got to lock it in.
- 9:10[SPEAKER_00]: The my booky lock of the season is back.
- 9:13[SPEAKER_00]: First one is an absolute no-brainer with the Patriots in Seattle for NFL kickoff.
- 9:17[SPEAKER_00]: Tonight, my bookie is asking one simple question.
- 9:20[SPEAKER_00]: We'll see how to raise their championship banner tonight.
- 9:22[SPEAKER_00]: Of course they will.
- 9:23[SPEAKER_00]: They're defending champs, home opener and raising the banner before kickoff is part of the celebration.
- 9:27[SPEAKER_00]: You're getting that bad up plus money odds, you're getting paid to say yes.
- 9:30[SPEAKER_00]: The CX will do the thing the entire night is built around.
- 9:33[SPEAKER_00]: That is the first my bookie lock in the season there will be more coming all season long.
- 9:36[SPEAKER_00]: Get in before kickoff, sign up at my bookie.
- 9:38[SPEAKER_00]: With my promo code, Duval, DUVAL, all caps, start your season off with a win any time anywhere that's my book.
- 9:44[SPEAKER_00]: You go Duval.
- 9:45[SPEAKER_00]: Must be 21 plus 18 plus and select jurisdictions, terms and conditions apply, gambling problem.
- 9:49[SPEAKER_00]: Call 100 Gambler or visit 100gambler.net for free confidential support, available 24.7.
- 9:54[SPEAKER_00]: So I mentioned Parker Washington, right?
- 9:58[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I think that Parker Washington has 1,200 plus yards receiving and eight plus touchdowns.
- 10:07[SPEAKER_00]: I think he's gonna have a awesome smashier, and that's why I didn't, I'm not saying this because I drafted him in fantasy.
- 10:16[SPEAKER_00]: I drafted him in fantasy because I believe this, right?
- 10:20[SPEAKER_00]: That's kind of the take there, the reasoning behind me going to get
- 10:27[SPEAKER_00]: which I only do one draft a year at this point.
- 10:29[SPEAKER_00]: There's not enough time in the day to keep track of all these different leagues.
- 10:33[SPEAKER_00]: So I do my main league every year, pretty fun league.
- 10:37[SPEAKER_00]: But yeah, I have Parker Washington with 1200 plus receiving odds and you know,
- 10:41[SPEAKER_00]: any touchdowns, which would be a great year for him, but it's not anything outside of what he was doing last year down the stretch.
- 10:51[SPEAKER_00]: Last year down the stretch, Parker Washington averaged over 70 yards per game, which is exactly what you need to average.
- 10:59[SPEAKER_00]: to get to the 1200 yard mark and so I think he's going to eclipse that and then you look at over the back half of the season he scored four touchdowns.
- 11:07[SPEAKER_00]: I think that number can easily climb and will easily climb.
- 11:11[SPEAKER_00]: There were still games over the back half of the season where he wasn't heavily targeted.
- 11:15[SPEAKER_00]: I think that that's going to change.
- 11:18[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think there's going to be many if any games where Parker Washington is not heavily targeted this season because he is the
- 11:29[SPEAKER_00]: yards per route run, yards per target, the ability to get yak, the ability to win all three levels.
- 11:37[SPEAKER_00]: Parker Washington is that dude.
- 11:39[SPEAKER_00]: I really believe that.
- 11:40[SPEAKER_00]: And yes, BTJ is going to eat certain weeks.
- 11:43[SPEAKER_00]: Britain's strangely certain weeks to Kobe Myers will get a lot of targets as well, but I think it's going to be the Parker Washington show.
- 11:50[SPEAKER_00]: in Jacksonville and I'm very, very excited to watch that kind of unfold.
- 11:55[SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, I think he's going to get that big season and he's going to get paid one way or the other.
- 12:00[SPEAKER_00]: I'm really hopeful they get it done before the season kicks off, which can't happen.
- 12:04[SPEAKER_00]: You know, these last minute deals absolutely can happen.
- 12:07[SPEAKER_00]: And as I'm recording, it's like maybe I should be checking out Twitter to make sure nothing has happened this morning.
- 12:13[SPEAKER_00]: We do have a press conference with Liam Cohen coming up here in
- 12:20[SPEAKER_00]: couple hours, 10 30, but yeah, not seeing anything on Parker Washington yet.
- 12:29[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm just going to keep my fingers crossed.
- 12:33[SPEAKER_00]: I want them here and do all long term.
- 12:35[SPEAKER_00]: Absolutely do.
- 12:37[SPEAKER_00]: And I think it is an interesting dichotomy just because like you have what he showed last year at the end of the year.
- 12:45[SPEAKER_00]: you have what he's shown throughout training camp in the off season and all that.
- 12:49[SPEAKER_00]: And that is looks like an incredible player, but before that, the production just wasn't there as a receiver.
- 12:58[SPEAKER_00]: But having said that, I do think that the Jaguar is will get it done this year with Parker Washington.
- 13:03[SPEAKER_00]: Whether that be before the season starts or during the season, I think that Parker Washington will get locked up.
- 13:12[SPEAKER_00]: I'm also of the mindset that I think that they're going to lock up Antonio Johnson.
- 13:17[SPEAKER_00]: I know that they've drafted three safeties in the last two years, but I honestly look at, I look at the fact that I think that they're going to want to have three really good safeties.
- 13:31[SPEAKER_00]: And Ray on Lane is viewed more as a special teams player than like you really want him out there at safety.
- 13:37[SPEAKER_00]: I think Eric Murray, it could very well be his last season in Jacksonville that would not surprise anyone I don't think and not not to say he hasn't played well, but I think that Keeping Antonio Johnson around because I think he is like energy.
- 13:52[SPEAKER_00]: He is versatility.
- 13:54[SPEAKER_00]: He is playmaking.
- 13:55[SPEAKER_00]: He's a good past coverage guy and run defender all these things for this defense I think the Jaguars are going to keep those guys around and get deals done
- 14:05[SPEAKER_00]: During the season for both of those players, that's kind of my view on that one and then I do have a couple of things to look out on the defensive side of things as well.
- 14:13[SPEAKER_00]: I think it's actually all up front outside of the Antonio Johnson getting an extension during the season.
- 14:19[SPEAKER_00]: Josh Heinz Allen and Travelle Walker.
- 14:23[SPEAKER_00]: Top sac duo in the AFC.
- 14:25[SPEAKER_00]: I couldn't go full in on this one and say NFL just because like,
- 14:33[SPEAKER_00]: It's hard for me to imagine the Rams not leading NFL and SACS, and it's hard for me to imagine two of those guys, just not being up there with the Rams.
- 14:44[SPEAKER_00]: I think the Rams will probably have the top SAC to go, but I think in the AFC, the Jaguars will get it done.
- 14:50[SPEAKER_00]: I talked about the Texans.
- 14:51[SPEAKER_00]: I think the Texans are defense is going to be in a lot more neutral game scripts than the Jaguars defenses.
- 14:58[SPEAKER_00]: I think the Jaguars are going to be up a lot, and that's going to
- 15:00[SPEAKER_00]: And they stopped the run at such a high level.
- 15:03[SPEAKER_00]: And I think the emphasis on playing a little bit more match concepts is going to hopefully reduce the opposing quarterback's ability to play quick game and get the ball out incredibly quick, which is going to allow Josh Heinz Allen and Trayvon Walker to be the top SAC duo in the AFC, which they've done before.
- 15:24[SPEAKER_00]: They've been the top SAC duo in football before.
- 15:30[SPEAKER_00]: Again, looking at the NFC, that's tough to overcome that.
- 15:34[SPEAKER_00]: But in the NFC, yeah, I think that they can out produce Will Anderson and the Neal Hunter.
- 15:39[SPEAKER_00]: And I know that that's probably a super hot take in bold prediction.
- 15:43[SPEAKER_00]: But I think that they'll be able to do that this year, given these circumstances that each team finds themselves in.
- 15:49[SPEAKER_00]: I think that they'll be able to rack up big numbers.
- 15:52[SPEAKER_00]: I think that Jack Wars will be one of the most improved teams in terms of sack totals this year.
- 16:00[SPEAKER_00]: Again, a lot of that goes to Travis Hunter being on the field, a lot of that goes to the match principles and concepts that they're trying to deploy this year, and just negating quick game a little bit more, and that is a massive improvement for the past rush.
- 16:17[SPEAKER_00]: Also, Trayvon Walker, being healthy right now, I think is a massive improvement for the past rush as well.
- 16:23[SPEAKER_00]: And then my final one here, I wanted to offer up a player who
- 16:30[SPEAKER_00]: I think has the potential to have an all pro caliber year and be named an all pro.
- 16:36[SPEAKER_00]: Obviously, I think Josh Hines Allen can do that.
- 16:38[SPEAKER_00]: I think Trayvon can do that.
- 16:40[SPEAKER_00]: I think Antonio Johnson can do that.
- 16:41[SPEAKER_00]: I think Travis Hunter can do that.
- 16:44[SPEAKER_00]: I think Trevor Parker Anton.
- 16:52[SPEAKER_00]: There's a number of guys, right?
- 16:54[SPEAKER_00]: But I'm going with Eric Armstrong's dead.
- 17:00[SPEAKER_00]: a all pro caliber year from a past rush standpoint.
- 17:05[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, he was top two or three in the NFL among defensive tackles and sacks.
- 17:10[SPEAKER_00]: He was top two or three in the NFL and pressures.
- 17:13[SPEAKER_00]: He was top two or three in the NFL, I believe in and stops.
- 17:19[SPEAKER_00]: So,
- 17:21[SPEAKER_00]: You have that combined with the fact that it says, second year in this defense, that I think Matt Dickerson is going to have to do a lot of the dirty work base stuff.
- 17:31[SPEAKER_00]: You know, allow Eric Armstrong to depend his years back.
- 17:33[SPEAKER_00]: And this is his first healthy off season that he has had in Jacksonville.
- 17:38[SPEAKER_00]: He's fully healthy entering the season for the first time since he got here.
- 17:43[SPEAKER_00]: So I think that's going to help him out of town.
- 17:45[SPEAKER_00]: And then again, what I just talked about with the coverage,
- 17:48[SPEAKER_00]: and with Josh Hinds Allen and Trevor on Walker doing really well, I think he's going to help Eric Garmstadt do really well.
- 17:53[SPEAKER_00]: I think these three players are going to rack up a lot of sacks this year, a lot of sacks.
- 17:59[SPEAKER_00]: I think Eric Garmstadt, because he plays defensive tackle, defensive tackles just traditionally don't get as many sacks.
- 18:09[SPEAKER_00]: I think he's going to be able to get a ton of sacks and be towards the top of the league in sacks among interior defensive
- 18:16[SPEAKER_00]: and he's going to have a huge part on a very good defense.
- 18:19[SPEAKER_00]: He's going to be at the top close to it in sacks for the defensive tackle spot in the NFL and he's going to earn an all-power spot.
- 18:28[SPEAKER_00]: He's also got that name recognition.
- 18:30[SPEAKER_00]: You know, people know him.
- 18:31[SPEAKER_00]: If he comes out and has a huge year, I think people like, oh, yeah, Eric Armstrong, he is awesome, right?
- 18:36[SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, those are some bold predictions I've got for the 2026 season for your Jacksonville Jaguars, really hope you enjoyed it.
- 18:42[SPEAKER_00]: If you do enjoy the content, please like and subscribe, and also hit that high button, y'all have a great one.
