- 0:40Speaker 1: Squatted you were inded at if you're a vampire fuck
- 0:48Speaker 1: because I invited you in. And second of all, it's fine,

- 1:13Speaker 1: Oh yep, Stanley's boornak here. No, this is a Starbucks
- 1:18Speaker 1: thermos that I don't have the couplet on because I
- 1:21Speaker 1: know we're doing uh two episodes today, so I've.
- 1:25Speaker 3: Oh, yeah, I've got.
- 1:26Speaker 6: I just kind of grabbed more like the fruit punch
- 1:29Speaker 6: and well.
- 1:31Speaker 2: We don't even think Jody's laptop will last.
- 1:33Speaker 5: Well, we're we're gonna do it is Jason ran out, so.
- 1:36Speaker 6: All right, Well he ran out when he's just gonna
- 1:39Speaker 6: be standing at the store like I don't know it
- 1:42Speaker 6: gets hot.
- 1:43Speaker 2: Oh she got a shade.
- 1:46Speaker 5: Awake in the all spiruns.
- 1:48Speaker 1: Yeah, all right with this tambourine.
- 1:51Speaker 3: Madam Leona Yota Leoda. I always get it wrong.
- 1:57Speaker 1: If it was a spelling quiz, you would have gotten
- 1:59Speaker 1: that wrong.
- 2:00Speaker 3: But yeah, oh I don't spell.
- 2:02Speaker 1: It was a short answer test. The teacher to give
- 2:05Speaker 1: in you credit.
- 2:05Speaker 3: Yeah, credit for effort. Good job.
- 2:09Speaker 6: Welcome foolish mortals.
- 2:11Speaker 1: Well, speaking of good jobs, Hey guys, what's up?
- 2:14Speaker 5: It's going on?
- 2:16Speaker 1: Where's the hey fuckers?
- 2:18Speaker 5: Oh, high fuckers.
- 2:20Speaker 1: Jesus, we got.
- 2:21Speaker 6: A brand uphold here fornicators.
- 2:25Speaker 1: Tuck anyway, Hey guys, welcome on the LUNI. What's up, bitches?
- 2:29Speaker 3: No, did you miss us?
- 2:31Speaker 1: I missed you.
- 2:33Speaker 2: They don't know that.
- 2:34Speaker 6: They are only at episode two right now in the
- 2:36Speaker 6: real world, so they don't know we had a huge break.
- 2:39Speaker 1: Yeah, they don't know that. I called Kristen last night
- 2:42Speaker 1: and went.
- 2:43Speaker 6: Oh my god, that i'd seen seven.
- 2:45Speaker 2: We've seen it.
- 2:46Speaker 6: It's play hold.
- 2:47Speaker 1: I watched it.
- 2:48Speaker 5: Sure?
- 2:49Speaker 3: Are you sure that's the episode? Yes, I'm sure.
- 2:53Speaker 1: And then I said you started watching seven? And I
- 2:57Speaker 1: said the test because watched seven and eight for the quizzes.
- 3:03Speaker 1: But I was like, but we watched it because remember
- 3:06Speaker 1: it's the one where they blah blah blah, And she
- 3:08Speaker 1: was like nope, and I was like, are you sure?
- 3:10Speaker 1: And then when I finally found my quiz because I
- 3:14Speaker 1: remember working on this quiz one night while I was
- 3:17Speaker 1: a little bit uh intoxicated, I found that not only
- 3:22Speaker 1: had I written it, but that's why I thought we
- 3:24Speaker 1: had watched it on the show, because I had watched
- 3:26Speaker 1: it so many times to get a couple of the
- 3:29Speaker 1: quotes and questions.
- 3:30Speaker 3: Right.
- 3:30Speaker 4: Oh, so now I cannot even guess what the episode
- 3:34Speaker 4: is about because Aaron has already told me.
- 3:36Speaker 5: Oh, okay, well then it's down to me.
- 3:39Speaker 1: Yeah, let's see, way to go, I will tell you
- 3:44Speaker 1: okay that so I made these are the hot off
- 3:49Speaker 1: the presses people listening.
- 3:51Speaker 6: She printed out a very nice looking quiz.
- 3:54Speaker 3: It's very professional.
- 3:55Speaker 1: Yeah, since I couldn't find my actual on the Lunai
- 3:59Speaker 1: book this morning or last night when I was going.
- 4:02Speaker 6: I watched it I think when dead.
- 4:06Speaker 1: So anyway, so I printed this out so I could
- 4:08Speaker 1: keep track of the scores on it. So this is
- 4:10Speaker 1: both quizes. This is seven and eight. I will tell
- 4:13Speaker 1: you for those of you who typically don't do well
- 4:15Speaker 1: if you pay extra attention. There are three bonus questions.
- 4:20Speaker 6: First, landscape mode, I.
- 4:22Speaker 5: Gotta got my notepad, hold on one moment.
- 4:28Speaker 1: Well, oh no, let's keep this in while we sit
- 4:32Speaker 1: here and wait for her.
- 4:34Speaker 2: Does her shirt say big tits?
- 4:36Speaker 1: By the way, I really feel like it does. I
- 4:40Speaker 1: wasn't sure after.
- 4:42Speaker 2: Bad Jody's shirt says big tits?
- 4:44Speaker 1: We think mine says I can't my week are no? Thanks?
- 4:50Speaker 1: My booked all weekend and Bell has like a stack.
- 4:53Speaker 6: Of mine says nothing.
- 4:55Speaker 2: It's a Kennedy top.
- 4:58Speaker 1: I booked all weekends.
- 4:59Speaker 5: What did I miss?
- 5:00Speaker 2: Hey? What does your shirt say, madam?
- 5:03Speaker 5: Big tit energy?
- 5:04Speaker 1: Yep, yep, we thought it said. I couldn't tell what
- 5:09Speaker 1: the word other was because the blow it because, like me,
- 5:14Speaker 1: you know the pain of if your boobs are certain size,
- 5:18Speaker 1: the shirt has writing, you lose it. Yeah, yeah, we
- 5:22Speaker 1: just saw.
- 5:23Speaker 2: As she got up, I was like, big tit?
- 5:24Speaker 5: What big tit energy?
- 5:27Speaker 1: My favorite Fourth of July shirt that says happy Treason Day,
- 5:31Speaker 1: You colonial peasants, m M. You lose most of the
- 5:36Speaker 1: Queen's face and some of the words every.
- 5:39Speaker 6: Year, but when you bounce around, She's like she's laughing.
- 5:46Speaker 5: She's rolling over in her grave.
- 5:48Speaker 1: Or Santa and I have that in common. We both
- 5:51Speaker 1: jiggle like a bowl full of jelly.
- 5:53Speaker 3: Delightful.
- 5:54Speaker 5: Can you hear that bird that's out there? I've got
- 5:58Speaker 5: sorry to introduct, which one makes didn't have to close
- 6:02Speaker 5: my window.
- 6:04Speaker 2: I don't hear it.
- 6:06Speaker 1: Literally, it could be a squirrel.
- 6:07Speaker 3: You don't know. With me, you have no room to
- 6:09Speaker 3: talk about squirrels.
- 6:11Speaker 1: Should I tell the story about the clay bird again? No?
- 6:14Speaker 5: Okay, well a bird, No, there's.
- 6:16Speaker 1: A there's a bird here. And when we're talking during
- 6:19Speaker 1: the workday sometimes I look out the window and I'm like, oh,
- 6:22Speaker 1: that bird's back and he's shaped weird. He's shaped like
- 6:25Speaker 1: an adult sculpted a clay shaped bird, and then a
- 6:29Speaker 1: child got their hands on it and messed up the proportions.
- 6:33Speaker 1: His legs kind of go out to the side a
- 6:36Speaker 1: little more than I feel they should. So he's like
- 6:39Speaker 1: always kind of squatting, and he's.
- 6:41Speaker 5: Like, how does the bird move and come back? If
- 6:44Speaker 5: it's clay?
- 6:46Speaker 2: Like, it's not actually clay.
- 6:48Speaker 1: It's not clay. I'm saying, it's it looks like when
- 6:51Speaker 1: a kid gets a hold of something. Oh like if
- 6:54Speaker 1: you had gone to the Jesus Christ.
- 7:01Speaker 5: I'm sorry, it's brain is not functioning, you know what.
- 7:06Speaker 6: It's okay, and she does have a fever from her boots.
- 7:10Speaker 1: Yeah, let's move on.
- 7:12Speaker 6: Pretty good.
- 7:13Speaker 5: Did we introduce ourselves?
- 7:15Speaker 1: No?
- 7:16Speaker 6: Well, yes, I am clay Bird.
- 7:20Speaker 5: I am Big Tit Energy jp H, I am Squirrel Energy.
- 7:24Speaker 3: Kristen, what up?
- 7:26Speaker 1: Amaron? What's up? How you doing? Let's good, single and
- 7:32Speaker 1: ready to pretty Let's go. Let's go all right, So
- 7:38Speaker 1: I'm gonna ask you what sock you have? But as
- 7:40Speaker 1: a major disappointment, I can see, yeah, I don't have.
- 7:46Speaker 5: A sock on today.
- 7:48Speaker 6: I'm going naked.
- 7:49Speaker 5: I'm going completely naked. So I'm making sure I stick
- 7:53Speaker 5: back away.
- 7:54Speaker 1: From the mic and overly tanned man in Abitha, did
- 7:58Speaker 1: you did you forget you?
- 8:00Speaker 6: I did?
- 8:00Speaker 1: Are stockless?
- 8:02Speaker 5: Yes, I for I forgot. I forgot the soft this morning.
- 8:05Speaker 1: I can't say Abeta the way you're no, I can't.
- 8:10Speaker 1: And Bacelona, no.
- 8:14Speaker 6: I need to send her socks with birds on them.
- 8:16Speaker 5: Well, I got a really cute pair of Pluto socks
- 8:21Speaker 5: when I was in Scotland.
- 8:23Speaker 1: You know, when I go to Scotland. Yeah, the first
- 8:27Speaker 1: thing I want is a pair of Disney branded Pluto socks.
- 8:32Speaker 5: Well, and here's the fun thing. It was at like
- 8:34Speaker 5: some it was that pound Land because we went to
- 8:36Speaker 5: Poundland round Land.
- 8:40Speaker 1: It's like their dollar Tree. Ye, okay, that makes more sense.
- 8:46Speaker 1: Do they know what pound Land sounds like?
- 8:50Speaker 5: I believe they do. I believe they do.
- 8:52Speaker 2: It's like dollar Tree, isn't it?
- 8:54Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 8:54Speaker 5: It's dollar Tree?
- 8:55Speaker 1: I lovely? You want to go over to palm Land later?
- 8:57Speaker 1: Love How very dare you?
- 9:00Speaker 3: Oh?
- 9:00Speaker 1: I just met you? No, it's the Dolo tree. You
- 9:03Speaker 1: want to go to Poundland.
- 9:05Speaker 5: I could spend all day in Poundland.
- 9:08Speaker 6: Although you get a little soul.
- 9:10Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, yeah, moisture becomes a problem a few hours in.
- 9:17Speaker 1: Yeah right, great, well we've covered that now, great.
- 9:23Speaker 5: Great, great, terrific exquisite.
- 9:27Speaker 1: Now are you a Pluto fan normally or yes?
- 9:30Speaker 5: Pluto is my favorite Disney character, mainly because my dad
- 9:35Speaker 5: when I was yellow dog, yes exactly, it was a
- 9:38Speaker 5: man yellow hat. So he bought me a stuffed animal
- 9:42Speaker 5: or a stuffed Pluto one year at Disneyland. And I've
- 9:46Speaker 5: been feeling pretty you know, it's coming up on a
- 9:50Speaker 5: year since he died, and so it's been a little
- 9:52Speaker 5: a little rough.
- 9:53Speaker 1: Lately for me.
- 9:54Speaker 2: I'm sorry.
- 9:56Speaker 1: So you liked Pluto because your dad looked like the
- 9:59Speaker 1: man from I'm Curious George And.
- 10:01Speaker 5: No, well, well sometimes I do fling my ship.
- 10:09Speaker 6: No, and that's really sweet though. You missed him, so
- 10:11Speaker 6: you got Pluto.
- 10:12Speaker 1: So yeah, no, I think that's nice.
- 10:15Speaker 6: Well, we'll have to see the socks next time.
- 10:17Speaker 1: Yeah, is he wearing at least like a little hat
- 10:19Speaker 1: or like.
- 10:20Speaker 5: No, he's running He's like uh oh, So.
- 10:23Speaker 1: It's like one thousand percent nothing to do with Scotland.
- 10:26Speaker 1: You just were like.
- 10:29Speaker 5: Pretty much, Yes, pretty much.
- 10:32Speaker 1: I can respect that.
- 10:34Speaker 5: Well. I didn't buy myself many things when I was there.
- 10:37Speaker 5: I mean I was buying things for other people because
- 10:40Speaker 5: I don't I don't. I don't need a bunch of
- 10:43Speaker 5: stuff I got. I mean a little chotchkey's here and there.
- 10:45Speaker 6: Do you get a little like NeSSI?
- 10:48Speaker 1: I did.
- 10:49Speaker 5: I got a mini NeSSI and I put her on
- 10:51Speaker 5: my desk at work and she's popping through the picture
- 10:56Speaker 5: that we took at the old Ship. Do you know
- 10:58Speaker 5: when I first met you?
- 11:01Speaker 6: Yeah, how does Luna feel about Nessy?
- 11:03Speaker 5: Well, Luna only saw NeSSI once and that was when
- 11:07Speaker 5: we had that small five point one earthquake last week.
- 11:11Speaker 1: She was jumped at it. Well, she was.
- 11:15Speaker 5: Hanging out on my shoulder and she just plunged onto
- 11:19Speaker 5: my keyboard because it freaked her out. I'm like, I
- 11:21Speaker 5: want Luna around a hell of a lot more often
- 11:23Speaker 5: to warm me about earthquakes. Yeah, but yeah, she just
- 11:26Speaker 5: looked at it and then gave it attitude.
- 11:29Speaker 1: I had the old timey like flip book version of
- 11:33Speaker 1: a film of this, because I got a picture moments
- 11:36Speaker 1: before the five point one of Luna on your shoulder
- 11:39Speaker 1: slash chest, and then seconds later on the desk like yeah,
- 11:46Speaker 1: and then just just a couple of seconds later, side
- 11:50Speaker 1: eyeing Jodie like did you fucking do they.
- 11:54Speaker 3: So much?
- 11:56Speaker 5: And I always wonder. I'm like, I really hope that
- 11:58Speaker 5: she likes me, just like I like her. But I'm like,
- 12:01Speaker 5: she's a fucking lizard, Like she's gonna like me if
- 12:03Speaker 5: I'm treating her well and feeder worms.
- 12:07Speaker 1: I mean, I hope she's as nice to you as
- 12:09Speaker 1: Abby is to No, that's I mean a different word
- 12:12Speaker 1: than nice. Better to you Abby.
- 12:15Speaker 6: Our producers looking out the window.
- 12:17Speaker 1: Yeah, our producer has been a real piece of shit.
- 12:19Speaker 1: This week, Can you focus, abby? She's we might be Yeah,
- 12:25Speaker 1: we might finally be headed for a divorce court. She's
- 12:28Speaker 1: just very not interested in me.
- 12:30Speaker 5: Nice. I did buy Luna a cat perch for the
- 12:35Speaker 5: window because our office or our property management company doesn't
- 12:40Speaker 5: seem to clean the outside of the windows very well,
- 12:42Speaker 5: so I wanted her to be able to be lifted
- 12:44Speaker 5: enough so where she can see outside. She like I
- 12:49Speaker 5: put the little heater on. She didn't move for like
- 12:53Speaker 5: twelve hours.
- 12:54Speaker 3: Such a spoiled beardy.
- 12:56Speaker 1: What you're saying is, hey, Luna thinks she's cat and
- 13:00Speaker 1: b I need a cat tree for when I go
- 13:02Speaker 1: to the Portland, Oregon Zoo because I guess it's just
- 13:05Speaker 1: the organ zoo. Sorry, guess, because when I see the penguins,
- 13:09Speaker 1: I'm at like shit level because the water's kind at
- 13:12Speaker 1: eye level. I like to be like twelve inches taller
- 13:16Speaker 1: so I could take pictures of the penguins and not
- 13:18Speaker 1: just stare through their boop.
- 13:19Speaker 6: There is always a scum level.
- 13:22Speaker 3: Yeah, you need like a portable step stool.
- 13:24Speaker 1: I guess really smell bad, Like I wouldn't advise you
- 13:27Speaker 1: having them in your house.
- 13:29Speaker 6: Stinky.
- 13:30Speaker 5: They didn't have a whole heck a lot of them
- 13:32Speaker 5: when I went to When we came back and I
- 13:34Speaker 5: stopped off in Dallas, we went to the Dallas Zoo
- 13:36Speaker 5: before I came back, and they had like only six penguins.
- 13:42Speaker 3: Well, how hot was it?
- 13:43Speaker 1: Do you want to live in Texas? No?
- 13:47Speaker 5: Not at all. I mean my mom. Yeah, I love
- 13:50Speaker 5: my mom. I will spend definitely spend time with her
- 13:54Speaker 5: where she lives in Texas.
- 13:55Speaker 6: But were they wearing a little cowboy hats?
- 13:58Speaker 5: No? But we did. We did get to attend the
- 14:05Speaker 5: sloth talk.
- 14:06Speaker 2: Oh yes, I love it.
- 14:08Speaker 5: And sloths can they have such a slow metabolism and
- 14:15Speaker 5: allow their food to ferment in their stomachs for so
- 14:19Speaker 5: long they don't have to eat. But like, oh, actually no,
- 14:21Speaker 5: that's not true. They only poop like once every seventeen days.
- 14:26Speaker 3: Oh my god, and like the ideal pet.
- 14:29Speaker 1: Did you know, well, since this has become animal chat,
- 14:32Speaker 1: now you're welcome. Did you know that sloths are more
- 14:36Speaker 1: likely to get killed that one time every seventeen days
- 14:39Speaker 1: they poop than any other time because they're so often
- 14:43Speaker 1: in the trees that it's the coming down from the
- 14:46Speaker 1: trees and their slow motion that gets them in trouble.
- 14:50Speaker 1: On the ground and it's usually because it's when they're
- 14:52Speaker 1: going to dig themple on poop. And the sad thing
- 14:55Speaker 1: is when you see those videos of people like trying
- 14:57Speaker 1: to save one on the fruit or whatever, they were
- 15:00Speaker 1: probably on their way to poop and we're like, but
- 15:02Speaker 1: my poop holes over there.
- 15:03Speaker 5: So yeah, it's like no.
- 15:08Speaker 1: I'll just start this very long walk again, dickhead like.
- 15:12Speaker 4: And then they's a pet in a sorority house and
- 15:16Speaker 4: downhill from there.
- 15:19Speaker 1: Also, if you don't need to pick up a slot.
- 15:21Speaker 1: First of all, we don't live in Costa Rica, so
- 15:23Speaker 1: the chances of you encountering a wild sloth is pretty low.
- 15:26Speaker 1: But if if you listeners, if any of you live
- 15:29Speaker 1: in Costa Rica, don't pick them up unless it's like
- 15:31Speaker 1: an emergency because they have a whole ecosystem that lives
- 15:35Speaker 1: in their fur. They're a little tiny like Horton or
- 15:39Speaker 1: not Horton, who fills who lives.
- 15:42Speaker 5: And they on it. They're like they'll be like hanging
- 15:44Speaker 5: on a tree and they're like, what's up, I'm kind
- 15:46Speaker 5: of hungry. Let me get a snap on your shoulder and.
- 15:49Speaker 1: Ecosystem it's like a baby bunny. Don't touch that either not,
- 15:54Speaker 1: Mom's gonna eat it.
- 15:56Speaker 5: I don't know if if that type of munching is happening,
- 15:59Speaker 5: but cool.
- 16:00Speaker 1: Well, does anyone have any very very exciting things that
- 16:04Speaker 1: they want to share with us? Anybody?
- 16:06Speaker 6: Jony's the one who had all the excitement.
- 16:08Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 16:09Speaker 5: Well, let's see. I traveled all the way around England
- 16:12Speaker 5: and Ireland and Scotland and in Norway. I was really annoying.
- 16:18Speaker 6: I'm sorry, and then you got really sick, and then
- 16:19Speaker 6: I got coaches bullshit and I couldn't even people to
- 16:24Speaker 6: wash their hands.
- 16:25Speaker 5: Well, no, it was I was on a Viking cruise
- 16:28Speaker 5: with eight hundred and ninety three old people.
- 16:32Speaker 6: Yeah, you probably touched a railing and that was it. Yeah,
- 16:38Speaker 6: think of those railings. You're probably gross.
- 16:40Speaker 1: Yeah, it's hard when you're on vacation, you know. No,
- 16:43Speaker 1: you just bump your face like you're doing something and
- 16:45Speaker 1: you're like, oh, and you've yet and then you're like,
- 16:48Speaker 1: well now I've COVID.
- 16:49Speaker 2: So yeah, I just feel bad.
- 16:52Speaker 6: You didn't get to visit in Oh I know, or
- 16:54Speaker 6: Cama or.
- 16:57Speaker 5: I know that show. Tickets to see Wicked in the
- 17:02Speaker 5: West End was so heartbreaking.
- 17:04Speaker 1: Claus, you didn't get to see Lily or.
- 17:10Speaker 5: Sand. I mean, we didn't make plans, but I was
- 17:14Speaker 5: going to say, hey, if I was in the area,
- 17:16Speaker 5: need his freaking phenomenal kid his his son just did
- 17:22Speaker 5: their very first Oh yeah, they both know. He just
- 17:25Speaker 5: like helped him set up his very first gig and
- 17:28Speaker 5: him and his like junior high school band of friends.
- 17:31Speaker 5: They played a bunch of Beatles songs and whatnot.
- 17:34Speaker 1: Like did he was a cute girl too or not?
- 17:39Speaker 5: I didn't ask that he plays the guitar and the piano. Yeah,
- 17:42Speaker 5: he's I'm just an ad on how well rounded this
- 17:45Speaker 5: kid is. He's a good kid. Nice And they watched
- 17:48Speaker 5: Lily so.
- 17:52Speaker 1: Mike, so Goad. How sad is it that I don't
- 17:58Speaker 1: need the music and I know the timing of that.
- 18:04Speaker 1: And also it bothers me because they go they say mom,
- 18:10Speaker 1: but the TV says mom or vice versa. I haven't
- 18:13Speaker 1: seen an episode in a few weeks.
- 18:14Speaker 5: But you mean the.
- 18:18Speaker 1: No not the captions. They either say mom or they
- 18:22Speaker 1: say mom. I think they say mom, but the little
- 18:25Speaker 1: thing that shows up above her in the oh, and
- 18:28Speaker 1: the animation says mom. And I'm like, it says used
- 18:35Speaker 1: to make me mad, but now it's just gentle rage. Okay, Look,
- 18:39Speaker 1: so the other day I thought a fun little idea
- 18:42Speaker 1: is that we all come up with like little segments
- 18:45Speaker 1: that correspond with our character. And as we know, I'm
- 18:48Speaker 1: the president of Snark So, which, by the way, when
- 18:52Speaker 1: I slam almost face Planet into the Rich Carlton's revolving
- 18:59Speaker 1: door because I'm not a member, I don't live in
- 19:04Speaker 1: the residences. So when I went to check in for
- 19:06Speaker 1: my ald timer's thing the other day, I was so
- 19:08Speaker 1: busy looking up to see if it was one of
- 19:10Speaker 1: your doors, Jodie, that I almost face Planet because I
- 19:13Speaker 1: didn't realize you had to like badge it. So my
- 19:18Speaker 1: thing is I send you guys really snarky things all
- 19:20Speaker 1: the time, and they're usually pretty funny. And so for
- 19:23Speaker 1: my stick, I'd like to highlight some of my favorite
- 19:27Speaker 1: Dorothy moments. I only have one prepared, so it won't
- 19:31Speaker 1: be every week. Maybe I'm not funny all the time.
- 19:33Speaker 1: Why so I this one, this version of text message
- 19:37Speaker 1: theater is very exciting because I said, oh my god.
- 19:41Speaker 1: This was to Kristin. I said, oh my god, the
- 19:44Speaker 1: guy that plays Kristen's husband on Evil got his own show.
- 19:48Speaker 1: She says, we haven't met her husband yet, so I
- 19:50Speaker 1: don't know who plays him. And I said, oh, I'm sorry,
- 19:53Speaker 1: I didn't realize Google was down today. And then sweet
- 19:58Speaker 1: little Sassy Kristin sent me the ross fist bumping but
- 20:04Speaker 1: you yeah, concerted, fuck you yeah. And at that point
- 20:09Speaker 1: I said, I'm gonna develop something around this because this
- 20:13Speaker 1: was not the funniest version. But I was like, there
- 20:15Speaker 1: are moments like this where earlier we started recording after
- 20:20Speaker 1: I burned the shit out of one of you, I
- 20:21Speaker 1: don't remember who it was, but it's probably me. I mean,
- 20:24Speaker 1: it's it's a one in three chants. You have a
- 20:27Speaker 1: thirty three percent chance it was you. Actually, truthfully, I
- 20:30Speaker 1: don't pick on Gina nearly as much because she's my mom.
- 20:34Speaker 3: Yeah, this is true. This is very accurate and like
- 20:37Speaker 3: two character.
- 20:38Speaker 1: Shall we get into the episode.
- 20:41Speaker 3: Yes.
- 20:42Speaker 6: Episode seven is called The Competition. The original air date
- 20:46Speaker 6: is November two, nineteen eighty five, directed by Jim Drake,
- 20:51Speaker 6: written by Susan Harris, Barry Fanaro and Mort Nathan Mort. Mort.
- 20:59Speaker 1: That's a name I don't hear anymore.
- 21:01Speaker 5: And you don't hear anymore, or at least within our circle.
- 21:05Speaker 6: Would you like to guess what you think the episode's about.
- 21:08Speaker 5: What was the name of the episode. The competition Dorothy
- 21:12Speaker 5: and Blanche are in competition for a.
- 21:14Speaker 6: Man Okay and Kristin I think already knows.
- 21:17Speaker 5: Yes, I'm the only one that doesn't know.
- 21:21Speaker 1: Sorry, not sorry.
- 21:23Speaker 3: Didn't we watch the episode where this happened.
- 21:26Speaker 1: No, First of all, I actually only said I'm not
- 21:29Speaker 1: gonna say what it is. I want Jody to be
- 21:31Speaker 1: pleasantly surprised. I only said one word.
- 21:35Speaker 3: But that pretty much tells me what the competition is.
- 21:37Speaker 1: So yes, yes, baking spoilers set your guess.
- 21:42Speaker 2: Is baking?
- 21:43Speaker 5: No, baking not sex?
- 21:45Speaker 6: I said baking.
- 21:47Speaker 5: No, it was miss Aaron.
- 21:49Speaker 1: That's it.
- 21:51Speaker 2: Oh, it's always sex.
- 21:53Speaker 5: Blanche, Well, be here while we're waiting for Aaron, grab
- 22:01Speaker 5: the TV controller. Shit. I One of my favorite Blanche
- 22:06Speaker 5: quotes is because I definitely think this would be something
- 22:11Speaker 5: I would say.
- 22:12Speaker 1: Hmm.
- 22:13Speaker 5: I saw my entire life flash before my eyes and thought,
- 22:17Speaker 5: what a shame if I die Now I'm too young
- 22:20Speaker 5: and I'm wearing the wrong underwear.
- 22:24Speaker 3: Oh, I love that quote.
- 22:26Speaker 1: That's episode eight. Is it really really? Yes?
- 22:32Speaker 4: Oh?
- 22:33Speaker 6: We get that things get spicy and things.
- 22:36Speaker 5: I watch those a lot.
- 22:38Speaker 6: All right, are we gonna go away and watch the episode?
- 22:40Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 22:40Speaker 1: Yeah, right, yeah, will be right back with you. We
- 22:49Speaker 1: have to go p on oh Lou. Everybody wait right there,
- 22:58Speaker 1: Welcome back. How was that episode? Was that pretty?
- 23:02Speaker 5: It was fun fun one I didn't expect. That is
- 23:06Speaker 5: not what I was expecting, I will say, but it
- 23:09Speaker 5: was funny.
- 23:09Speaker 1: We forgot to pick the villain for me for this episode.
- 23:13Speaker 1: I had secretly been hoping that you would pick Rose
- 23:16Speaker 1: accidentally because most of the time, you guys kind of
- 23:19Speaker 1: just write my answer form like you picked the wrong
- 23:23Speaker 1: one every week, and I love it, but.
- 23:25Speaker 5: I would not have picked Rose as the villain.
- 23:27Speaker 4: But this was a completely different side of Rose, and
- 23:30Speaker 4: I kind of loved it.
- 23:32Speaker 5: Yeah, this was mean. We saw how competitive she really gets.
- 23:37Speaker 6: And that episode, the gals were competing in a bowling
- 23:41Speaker 6: tune and Rose is so competitive. She was trying to
- 23:45Speaker 6: find the best partner.
- 23:47Speaker 5: She kept on ditching people every single time she thought
- 23:50Speaker 5: she found the best.
- 23:51Speaker 4: There was no loyalty, no no, and she didn't give
- 23:54Speaker 4: a da I.
- 23:55Speaker 1: Had a neighbor and this is tangentially related. I had
- 23:58Speaker 1: a neighbor and when I went to Kaid School down
- 24:01Speaker 1: and asking Dido. Melissa Brunetski and she she was my
- 24:05Speaker 1: friend in the could sack we would play. We were
- 24:08Speaker 1: like the same age and then there were other mismatched
- 24:12Speaker 1: age children, but we all kind of hung out together
- 24:14Speaker 1: and we all still know each other on Facebook, only
- 24:17Speaker 1: we don't really hang out in person. Anyway, Melissa was
- 24:20Speaker 1: allowed to take like five people to Disneyland with her
- 24:23Speaker 1: for her birthday one year, and she did what Roast did.
- 24:27Speaker 1: She went around like trying to get the best five
- 24:30Speaker 1: people possible. So there were multiple times that year where
- 24:34Speaker 1: I might have been going to Disneyland with her, but
- 24:37Speaker 1: ultimately did not make the cut. And so this episode
- 24:42Speaker 1: what a little She's fine, She's fine. I mean we
- 24:46Speaker 1: stayed in touch. It's not like she was a terrible person,
- 24:49Speaker 1: but we were spoiled upper middle class white kids. You
- 24:53Speaker 1: got to leverage the gifts your parents give you. And anyway,
- 24:58Speaker 1: this episode hits close to home because I'm like, man,
- 25:00Speaker 1: I know what that felt like to get shafted for
- 25:03Speaker 1: someone slightly more popular than you.
- 25:06Speaker 4: My family is very competitive when it comes to games,
- 25:11Speaker 4: and there's no loyalty, there is no I mean, it's
- 25:16Speaker 4: a dog.
- 25:16Speaker 3: Eat dog world.
- 25:17Speaker 4: And yeah, even when we play this stupid app Monopoly
- 25:21Speaker 4: Go and there's team events, like my siblings will dump
- 25:25Speaker 4: your ass and you're not gonna pull your like it's
- 25:28Speaker 4: very competitive.
- 25:29Speaker 1: And wow, my mom and dad won't play Monopoly with
- 25:34Speaker 1: me anymore.
- 25:36Speaker 5: Because you're that competitive.
- 25:38Speaker 1: I start making side deals where I'm like, look, what
- 25:41Speaker 1: do you got there? All right, you sell me that property,
- 25:43Speaker 1: I'll give you all the cash that I have right
- 25:46Speaker 1: now because I know I can build. Then after a
- 25:49Speaker 1: couple turns or whatever, I get very into it, like, yeah,
- 25:52Speaker 1: off off the instructions like side rules and shit happen.
- 25:57Speaker 3: Yes, oh yeah, people creating their own.
- 26:00Speaker 1: It was the same way with with beer pong.
- 26:04Speaker 5: In my Oh yeah, I'm very competitive with beer, very
- 26:09Speaker 5: excellent at blowing.
- 26:10Speaker 1: If the ball is like spinning, I'm so good at
- 26:14Speaker 1: blowing out of the cup. And so I wouldn't let
- 26:18Speaker 1: the guys finger it out of the cup at my
- 26:22Speaker 1: friend's house. I made that an official rule where you
- 26:25Speaker 1: can only blow it out, you can't scoop it out
- 26:27Speaker 1: with a finger.
- 26:29Speaker 5: Yeah, but that has to be established before the game
- 26:34Speaker 5: starts because there's there's so many rules, like so many
- 26:37Speaker 5: people play differently.
- 26:38Speaker 1: Printed list and then eventually the rules got hand painted
- 26:42Speaker 1: and sealed onto the top of the beer pong table.
- 26:45Speaker 1: But then they that house and you know, okay, would
- 26:50Speaker 1: you like to play a game?
- 26:56Speaker 5: Yes? No, no, no, no no no no no no
- 26:58Speaker 5: no no, no, no, no, no no no.
- 27:01Speaker 1: Okay, So let's us jump back in the clown car
- 27:04Speaker 1: and head over to the quiz now. First question, shout
- 27:08Speaker 1: your name to buzzed in why are Italian men so romantic?
- 27:13Speaker 6: Genus their pants are so tight?
- 27:17Speaker 5: Yes? I was looking for that on my list.
- 27:20Speaker 1: Idd okay. Question two? Who ultimately ends up bowling with Blanch?
- 27:30Speaker 5: Christ Jody?
- 27:32Speaker 1: Can I get a second opinion? You both?
- 27:34Speaker 2: I thought it was Christen?
- 27:36Speaker 5: Okay, Christ?
- 27:38Speaker 1: Yes, okay, okay. Question three, why won't Blanche agree to
- 27:45Speaker 1: a side bet with Rose?
- 27:47Speaker 6: Justin because everything Rose owns is ugly?
- 27:52Speaker 1: Yep? Yes, yeah, so because yours is so damn gladly? Okay, Rose,
- 28:06Speaker 1: Sophia and Blanche are all wearing pink and black satin
- 28:10Speaker 1: bowling shirts. What two colors are on?
- 28:14Speaker 3: Jody?
- 28:15Speaker 1: Uh?
- 28:16Speaker 5: Yellow and like a turquoise blue Dorothy's blouse.
- 28:22Speaker 6: Yes, yes, get it, she wish Blanche in the background
- 28:28Speaker 6: the purple and yellow.
- 28:30Speaker 1: Six dollar tree extra from the excuse me, dollar Land, Nope,
- 28:34Speaker 1: pound Land. All right, Jody, So this game's tied up everybody.
- 28:40Speaker 1: As we enter question five, where did Sophia and Augustine
- 28:46Speaker 1: first meet?
- 28:48Speaker 5: Jody? Yes, they met at the sand Georgino Festival.
- 28:57Speaker 1: I don't know. Let's get an impartial second opinion. Do
- 29:00Speaker 1: I count that or do I make someone say the
- 29:02Speaker 1: real name?
- 29:03Speaker 3: I don't know the real name, so I think she
- 29:05Speaker 3: should get it.
- 29:06Speaker 1: Okay, Jody, you get the point, San Gennaro, Gennaro, I
- 29:12Speaker 1: don't know who to. You each get a point. Good
- 29:15Speaker 1: job for the assists. There we go, all right, great.
- 29:19Speaker 1: What are the first names of the Nielsen sisters?
- 29:23Speaker 5: Jody, Sonia, and Olga?
- 29:28Speaker 6: Is it Olga?
- 29:28Speaker 1: Or was she saying I assure you, as someone that
- 29:33Speaker 1: is having flashbacks of watching this episode many times.
- 29:37Speaker 2: Maybe she was just saying it weird.
- 29:40Speaker 1: Okay. What does Dorothy say to Blanche when she cannot
- 29:46Speaker 1: wake her up at the kitchen?
- 29:50Speaker 4: Blanche, wake up, my wife will be home any minutes.
- 29:56Speaker 5: I loved that they're trying to wake her up.
- 29:58Speaker 4: Trying to wake her up, That's what I loved it.
- 30:02Speaker 6: She's heard a thousand times my wife's gonna be home.
- 30:06Speaker 2: She goes and.
- 30:06Speaker 5: Grabs her shoes, balls out of the chair, when coffee
- 30:11Speaker 5: goes everywhere?
- 30:12Speaker 1: When was the last time that Blanche was dumped?
- 30:16Speaker 5: Oh? Oh, I don't know. Mm.
- 30:23Speaker 1: No one wrote it down, No one caught this.
- 30:26Speaker 6: No, oh god, I missed it.
- 30:30Speaker 1: It's gonna make the next Was this something to do
- 30:32Speaker 1: with Tony Bennett? No, but that was the Italian daughter
- 30:36Speaker 1: that looked like a yeah that No. Well, the next
- 30:39Speaker 1: question is going to get harder then, because it's a
- 30:41Speaker 1: part two. The answer was when Wade Honeycut threw me
- 30:45Speaker 1: over for Rebecca Wilson. Oh, oh, yeah, Rebecca Wilkinson.
- 30:49Speaker 5: What was that? Who was Rebecca Wilkinson?
- 30:51Speaker 1: That's the next question. Who was Rebecca Wilkinson?
- 30:56Speaker 5: She's a bitch. I have no idea. I just know
- 31:00Speaker 5: that that Blanche slept with that guy's brother to get
- 31:05Speaker 5: back at him.
- 31:06Speaker 1: Well, so, yeah, so she says that she didn't value
- 31:09Speaker 1: your she says Dorothy I think, says who was Rebecca Wilkerson?
- 31:14Speaker 1: And she says a girl who did not value her reputation?
- 31:21Speaker 3: Got it going from Blint.
- 31:23Speaker 6: I was busy thinking about anderbone or bow.
- 31:25Speaker 2: So I missed it.
- 31:27Speaker 1: This last question is also hard, so we manned this
- 31:30Speaker 1: with a tie. What is a painting slash picture frame
- 31:35Speaker 1: by the front door?
- 31:37Speaker 5: Oh no, no idea, no idea.
- 31:40Speaker 6: I didn't catch it.
- 31:41Speaker 1: It's a painting of a face, one of those like
- 31:45Speaker 1: super weird eighties like pretty painting, like pastel colors.
- 31:50Speaker 5: Yeah. Yeah, it's like the soft pink and the soft turquoise,
- 31:56Speaker 5: and it's probably textured also.
- 31:59Speaker 1: Maybe I don't know. I wasn't on the set, although
- 32:02Speaker 1: I did find out the other day that someone I
- 32:04Speaker 1: work with was on set once the Golden Girls. Then
- 32:08Speaker 1: I was like, cool, you shut the fuck up your mouth.
- 32:13Speaker 1: It was so mad the girls weren't there. It was
- 32:17Speaker 1: like that like a family member worked there and so
- 32:21Speaker 1: they got to see the set, but they didn't meet
- 32:23Speaker 1: the Golden Girls. But we were talking about it.
- 32:26Speaker 6: And did you steal something from the set, because I
- 32:28Speaker 6: would have I would have taken.
- 32:30Speaker 1: I told all the things they had come in to
- 32:32Speaker 1: record it the next day and be like, where's that.
- 32:37Speaker 3: I loved her person in this episode.
- 32:39Speaker 1: It was like a.
- 32:41Speaker 3: Wicker would wove. I know, I just really liked it.
- 32:46Speaker 6: I love it.
- 32:46Speaker 3: She was like, and I'm like I would totally use
- 32:49Speaker 3: one of those.
- 32:50Speaker 1: I've been watching one on eBay that's similar enough that
- 32:54Speaker 1: I feel like I could convert it the rest of
- 32:56Speaker 1: no way, but it's missing the insights. And I don't
- 33:00Speaker 1: know if I'm smart enough to line a wicker bag,
- 33:03Speaker 1: and I don't want to carry a thirty years dirt
- 33:07Speaker 1: wicker like I need to be able to clean and
- 33:11Speaker 1: prep the thing. But I have a couple that I'm
- 33:14Speaker 1: watching that are pretty similar that I can make a
- 33:18Speaker 1: good duplicate, but they should really just make that. So hey,
- 33:21Speaker 1: if you're listening to this right now and you work
- 33:23Speaker 1: for like a handbag company, fucking make the Petrillo purse,
- 33:29Speaker 1: brand it as Patrillo purse, then you don't get in trouble.
- 33:32Speaker 1: You're not saying like Ma or Golden Girls. You're just
- 33:34Speaker 1: saying Patrollo, which is a name, and then I will
- 33:37Speaker 1: buy it, and I would pay upwards of like seventy
- 33:40Speaker 1: five dollars for that person.
- 33:41Speaker 3: I'd buy one too. So there you got two people already.
- 33:44Speaker 1: Yeah, look they're basically rich. Now you now have one
- 33:47Speaker 1: hundred and fifty dollars you didn't have if you make
- 33:49Speaker 1: that bag before. That's right, girl, maths anyway, well, does
- 33:53Speaker 1: anyone have any comments or anything they want to talk
- 33:55Speaker 1: about on the show at all?
- 33:57Speaker 4: I loved this episode. I thought it was really fun.
- 33:59Speaker 4: We got a little bit of a different personality from everybody.
- 34:02Speaker 4: Rose was a lot more mean and self serving, and
- 34:06Speaker 4: Dorothy was a lot more generous and carying towards her mother,
- 34:09Speaker 4: which I really liked her throwing at the end so
- 34:11Speaker 4: that her mom could do the trip, Like I guess,
- 34:14Speaker 4: I found that really heartwarming.
- 34:16Speaker 6: They had they had a bet that Sophia could go
- 34:20Speaker 6: back to Sicily with her buddy if they won, and
- 34:24Speaker 6: Dorothy heard her and was his name, Augustine, august Augustine
- 34:30Speaker 6: bag It talking, and so she threw. She didn't pick
- 34:34Speaker 6: up the spear that she's known to be able to.
- 34:35Speaker 4: Do easy, and so everybody went and gave her the
- 34:40Speaker 4: earrings that she wanted to gave her her bit.
- 34:42Speaker 3: Yeah, it was sweet.
- 34:44Speaker 1: It's honestly a really sweet episode. I like it. We
- 34:47Speaker 1: see almost sort of a softer side of Blanche too,
- 34:50Speaker 1: because initially her feelings are hurt, and that the whole
- 34:56Speaker 1: uh when she comes to the kitchen and goes I
- 34:58Speaker 1: am stunned. I'm just so stunned. I cannot even begin
- 35:02Speaker 1: to tell you how stunning I died. And then I, preemptively,
- 35:09Speaker 1: while we were watching it, started to spit my own
- 35:12Speaker 1: coffee out because I remembered that Dorothy Dorothy very much
- 35:17Speaker 1: like me, and perhaps that's where I got some of
- 35:19Speaker 1: my comedic timing in life. Was then said, I'm sorry,
- 35:25Speaker 1: so did you say you were stunned?
- 35:29Speaker 6: Pat out of the air, And that's what I would do.
- 35:31Speaker 6: I'd be like, I wonder if she's stunned.
- 35:33Speaker 1: Wait, so you're stunned. That's interesting.
- 35:35Speaker 5: I didn't what you're saying is your I wasn't getting.
- 35:37Speaker 1: That really weird? Okay, yeah, I get it.
- 35:40Speaker 3: That's cool, perfect Dorothy.
- 35:44Speaker 6: At the beginning of the episode, Sophia looks like she's
- 35:47Speaker 6: making this amazing looking pasta sauce.
- 35:52Speaker 5: What she was making it for? I mean, we found
- 35:54Speaker 5: out I.
- 35:55Speaker 1: Think she was. I think, wasn't it because August, because oh,
- 35:59Speaker 1: that's right, that was such a.
- 36:01Speaker 6: I don't know if you ever got any.
- 36:03Speaker 5: I mean no, because Blanche was.
- 36:07Speaker 1: Bread Double Dippers of America Club in their kitchen, Dorothy
- 36:11Speaker 1: put a spoon in. We don't know how many times
- 36:13Speaker 1: Dorothy put the spoon in the sauce, and she was
- 36:15Speaker 1: sipping it like the way they sipped the fucking soup
- 36:18Speaker 1: and Clue with the like slurping right. And then Sophia
- 36:23Speaker 1: put the wooden spowed in her mouth and back in
- 36:25Speaker 1: the pot. And then Rude Dage double bread dipped the
- 36:28Speaker 1: bread in which right off the bat. Now there's crumbs
- 36:32Speaker 1: and Kristen can't have it back in the fall. Then
- 36:36Speaker 1: after she took a bite, she put her spitty piece
- 36:38Speaker 1: of bread back in there. So there's three out of
- 36:41Speaker 1: four members of season. This is saliva in that.
- 36:45Speaker 2: Makes it taste better.
- 36:46Speaker 3: Secret of good sauces.
- 36:48Speaker 2: You don't wash your hands.
- 36:49Speaker 3: This is definitely pre cold.
- 36:51Speaker 5: Yeah, definitely breathe it just joking.
- 36:54Speaker 6: Oh, talking about stuff back in the day, twelve hundred
- 36:57Speaker 6: dollars to go to Sicily nineteen five seams high. It's like,
- 37:01Speaker 6: what is it now?
- 37:02Speaker 1: Well, so I don't know, because European travel was more
- 37:07Speaker 1: expensive before than it is now, not technically because you
- 37:12Speaker 1: know inflation and blah blah blah, but you could probably
- 37:16Speaker 1: get a twelve hundred dollars flight now more easily than
- 37:19Speaker 1: you could have back then because it was more about
- 37:22Speaker 1: the fuel and stuff.
- 37:23Speaker 7: I think that's just a song that struck me as
- 37:26Speaker 7: when the Bowling Alley Hamburger was a dollar fifty, right, it's.
- 37:33Speaker 3: Like five for like a cheap direct flight.
- 37:37Speaker 6: So that's something that has changed for the better for once.
- 37:42Speaker 1: And I think it's about I do think it's about
- 37:45Speaker 1: fuel in the distance of the flight. I feel like
- 37:47Speaker 1: that's something.
- 37:48Speaker 5: That the amount that they can carry weight wise and
- 37:53Speaker 5: the jet stream.
- 37:55Speaker 3: We could pay almost that much to travel from the
- 37:57Speaker 3: West coast to the East coast. That's right.
- 37:59Speaker 6: Sing Yeah, and you said what five to go to Sicily?
- 38:03Speaker 3: Yeah, direct flight and that's from Miami to Sicily.
- 38:06Speaker 1: Wow. Yeah, I'm I'm trying to think, Yeah, my Boston
- 38:10Speaker 1: flight is like six hunder bucks.
- 38:13Speaker 3: Yeah, that's what I'm saying. That's yeah, that's crazy interesting.
- 38:17Speaker 6: Yeah, that struck me as very high.
- 38:19Speaker 1: Well, hey, guys, I think it's time that we all
