- 2:11Speaker 1: that's my husband working on our house making a rook. Yes,
- 2:16Speaker 1: my brother is arriving tomorrow from the Midwest for the
- 2:20Speaker 1: Thanksgiving holidays, and before he gets here, I just have
- 2:23Speaker 1: to make my usband shit goes crazy, replace the base board,
- 2:26Speaker 1: make sure the cock it wed, the texture on the walls,
- 2:29Speaker 1: and overall his guest boat bedroom. So he's out there working.
- 2:33Speaker 1: So if that's something you hear, sorry about it. Sorry
- 2:37Speaker 1: Now before we get into the recap, I do want
- 2:39Speaker 1: to ask you, Beatrice, what was your takeaway?
- 2:42Speaker 2: You know, I'm just wondering why we watched last week
- 2:46Speaker 2: Cody shave his beard and it was like a big
- 2:49Speaker 2: ol' hullaballoo. Yeah, and then this week we have a
- 2:51Speaker 2: whole like fifteen to twenty minutes at the end of
- 2:54Speaker 2: the episode with Cody and Robin and their ugly McMansion
- 2:58Speaker 2: and he's got his beard back.
- 3:00Speaker 1: I didn't even notice it, but they have us so conditioned, yeah,
- 3:04Speaker 1: to be hopping around in the timeline that I wouldn't
- 3:07Speaker 1: have noticed it.
- 3:08Speaker 2: It's just really annoying to me.
- 3:09Speaker 1: It's un profession all.
- 3:11Speaker 3: I agree.
- 3:12Speaker 1: So I have a takeaway as well, okay, and it's
- 3:14Speaker 1: the takeaway that I sent you earlier on the WhatsApp,
- 3:17Speaker 1: and it is as follows, what.
- 3:20Speaker 4: Is this, Sister, Why this is episode? I cannot facials
- 3:30Speaker 4: and eating bugs?
- 3:32Speaker 1: Is this what we've come to?
- 3:34Speaker 3: What the fuck are we doing here?
- 3:36Speaker 1: I cannot? And that was my takeaway. That's it, and
- 3:40Speaker 1: we'll just leave it at that now without further ado.
- 3:43Speaker 1: Let's get into the recap of Sister I Season twenty,
- 3:47Speaker 1: episode ten nine, Episode nine yeah, and titled.
- 3:51Speaker 2: Stand Off at Coyote Pass. Okay, And that's where we
- 3:54Speaker 2: start the episode with everybody at Coyote Pass. If you
- 3:58Speaker 2: recall from last week, Janelle and Mary arrived on time
- 4:03Speaker 2: and Cody and Robin and their realtor were like an
- 4:06Speaker 2: hour late. They finally show up, nobody's getting out of
- 4:09Speaker 2: their cars because everybody hates each other, but really it's
- 4:13Speaker 2: just Mary and Janelle are cold because they were standing
- 4:16Speaker 2: outside for several minutes and Cody and Robin were late,
- 4:19Speaker 2: and so they just got back in their cars and
- 4:21Speaker 2: turned the heater on. But once Cody and Robin arrive,
- 4:24Speaker 2: they immediately take it personally. Robin says, oh my god,
- 4:28Speaker 2: they're sending us a message that they don't want to
- 4:30Speaker 2: talk to us, and she's going on her victim campaign.
- 4:34Speaker 2: And then they all step out of their cars and
- 4:37Speaker 2: then Justin or whatever his name is, the realtor, comes
- 4:39Speaker 2: by and he's like, congrats, you sold it.
- 4:43Speaker 1: So what were we there for, because we certainly didn't
- 4:46Speaker 1: see them do anything. I mean, I'm assuming that they
- 4:49Speaker 1: were there to sign like the final papers and maybe
- 4:53Speaker 1: have a little bit of a celebratory toast, which you know,
- 4:56Speaker 1: we don't want to do when we buy our Sola home.
- 4:58Speaker 1: But I didn't se anybody's anything. I didn't see a
- 5:01Speaker 1: bottle of shomps popped. What was going on, I don't know.
- 5:06Speaker 2: It's like I think they were just doing this for
- 5:08Speaker 2: content and just to wrap up the whole Coyote Past storyline.
- 5:12Speaker 2: It would have been nice to see some more of
- 5:13Speaker 2: the lead up and more discussions about it. But it's
- 5:16Speaker 2: just like wam bamboom, It's sold. And the only reason
- 5:20Speaker 2: why I got sold so quickly, allegedly is because Cody
- 5:22Speaker 2: and Robin needed the money for their McMansion, and like
- 5:26Speaker 2: that was it. And then we just have this like
- 5:28Speaker 2: awkward standoff. They keep calling it a standoff, but nobody's
- 5:32Speaker 2: doing anything.
- 5:33Speaker 1: It was very bizarre to me that Robin wouldn't even
- 5:38Speaker 1: look at Mary or look at Janelle, and Cody didn't either,
- 5:42Speaker 1: like nobody looked at anybody. Well, actually I saw Mary
- 5:45Speaker 1: trying to catch the glance, and she does say that
- 5:48Speaker 1: she was trying to make that eye contact with Robin
- 5:50Speaker 1: to say, hey, it's okay, how are you doing. It's
- 5:52Speaker 1: nice to see you, But Robin wouldn't even look at her.
- 5:55Speaker 1: And then Janelle's super awkward. It was just really strange,
- 5:58Speaker 1: and you do have to kind of wonder, like, guys,
- 6:01Speaker 1: you share upwards of thirty three years of history with
- 6:04Speaker 1: one another, you're trying to end it on an at
- 6:08Speaker 1: least neutral note, like, yeah, why wouldn't you at least
- 6:11Speaker 1: greet each other, say hello, be personable and polite. It
- 6:17Speaker 1: was just really weird.
- 6:18Speaker 2: It was very strange. And then you have like Cody
- 6:21Speaker 2: and Robin being all chummy and talking with the realtor
- 6:24Speaker 2: like separately from Mary and Janelle, and they're just having
- 6:27Speaker 2: this side conversation in front of them, not even acknowledging
- 6:30Speaker 2: them whatsoever, and it's just like, yikes, man, I don't know.
- 6:34Speaker 2: The whole thing was just really awkward to watch. Mary
- 6:37Speaker 2: and Janelle were definitely over it, and Janelle even said
- 6:40Speaker 2: She's like, I don't really care to make small talk.
- 6:42Speaker 2: I'm just here to make sure the paperwork's all good.
- 6:44Speaker 2: And once Justin brings out the paperwork, Janelle's like, I
- 6:47Speaker 2: want to double check it? Can you send it to me?
- 6:49Speaker 2: Typical Torus being like, let me make sure everything's dotted
- 6:53Speaker 2: and everything like that, and Mary is just totally looking
- 6:56Speaker 2: over to Cody the whole time, like why when he
- 6:58Speaker 2: look at me? Why when he look at me? And
- 6:59Speaker 2: I'm like, he never will.
- 7:03Speaker 1: Sorry as he wanted to in many, many years.
- 7:06Speaker 2: You Know.
- 7:06Speaker 1: What it made me think of, though, was the story
- 7:09Speaker 1: that Christine tells in her book about the Plexus cruise
- 7:13Speaker 1: that she went on with Mary. And I know we
- 7:16Speaker 1: talked about it on Patreon and I might have mentioned
- 7:18Speaker 1: it here, but just to refresh some of your memories,
- 7:21Speaker 1: they go on this MLM Extravaganza cruise together, and I
- 7:26Speaker 1: think Christine it felt to me when we were reading
- 7:29Speaker 1: it like Christine was kind of under Mary. Maybe I
- 7:32Speaker 1: don't know. So Christine walks into the room to socialize
- 7:37Speaker 1: with everybody that's there, and Mary sees her, but Christine
- 7:41Speaker 1: doesn't immediately see Mary, and so she continues on and
- 7:44Speaker 1: she starts talking to people, and Mary takes that as
- 7:47Speaker 1: a profound snub, and then for the rest of the
- 7:51Speaker 1: cruise proceeds to not just like harbor an offense against Christine,
- 7:56Speaker 1: but she goes out of her way to talk down
- 7:58Speaker 1: to Christine, to belittle Christine in front of other peers,
- 8:03Speaker 1: to body shame her, and like be super duper insulting.
- 8:07Speaker 1: So for Mary. I guess it feels like it's really
- 8:10Speaker 1: important that she's seen, she's acknowledged, and that people greet
- 8:15Speaker 1: her at the very least, and so it was just
- 8:18Speaker 1: giving echoes of that. You can tell in the moment
- 8:21Speaker 1: Mary's very surprised, but I also think she's deeply offended.
- 8:25Speaker 1: I could definitely see that one percent. And I mean,
- 8:28Speaker 1: to play Devil's advocate. It's not like Mary was like
- 8:30Speaker 1: super welcoming either.
- 8:31Speaker 2: She's just standing there being very cold and not really
- 8:34Speaker 2: acknowledging to.
- 8:35Speaker 1: Just say, Hi, guys, how are you doing. It's so
- 8:37Speaker 1: nice to see.
- 8:38Speaker 2: You exactly, Like, if you want to claim to be
- 8:40Speaker 2: the bigger person, then just go ahead and do that.
- 8:42Speaker 2: But just the whole thing was awkward, and it just
- 8:44Speaker 2: sheds a light to the whole Coyote Pass thing in general,
- 8:48Speaker 2: and how there's been so many fractures in the family
- 8:51Speaker 2: that it's really difficult for them to even do this
- 8:55Speaker 2: simple task of just stand on Coyote Pass and be
- 8:58Speaker 2: like glad, it's sold, okay, bye, see it. Ever, you
- 9:01Speaker 2: know they can't even do that.
- 9:02Speaker 1: No, not even for the cameras, not even for the
- 9:05Speaker 1: viewing audience.
- 9:06Speaker 2: Not at all. And then we have these like little
- 9:08Speaker 2: segments while they're on Coyote Pass, their little talking heads
- 9:11Speaker 2: where you have like Robin trying to pretend like, oh, well,
- 9:14Speaker 2: I didn't see that Mary was trying to look at me.
- 9:17Speaker 2: Otherwise I would have looked at her and like I
- 9:19Speaker 2: was just I was just being awkward. I was just
- 9:21Speaker 2: standing by because they didn't want to talk to me.
- 9:24Speaker 2: And then you have a conversation with I think Janelle
- 9:29Speaker 2: and Cody where they talk about the back door deal.
- 9:32Speaker 1: Yes, and Janelle actually acknowledges because we were asking last week,
- 9:37Speaker 1: like do we think that Janelle was actually trying to
- 9:41Speaker 1: make a backdoor deal? Now I wonder whether Cody's framing
- 9:45Speaker 1: it nefariously to make Janelle look bad, because last week
- 9:50Speaker 1: I also said, like I couldn't see Janelle getting sick
- 9:52Speaker 1: of Mary's antics and her bullshit. Like Janelle went out
- 9:55Speaker 1: of her way again in Flagstaff to say, hey, like
- 9:58Speaker 1: be careful because they may steal this out from under you.
- 10:01Speaker 1: Janelle was the one who recommended to Mary to get
- 10:03Speaker 1: an attorney, and it took her a long time to
- 10:06Speaker 1: do that, only when like it was absolutely unmissible that
- 10:09Speaker 1: Cody was duplicitous and disrespecting her. Did she finally get
- 10:12Speaker 1: an attorney? So I can see a world where Janelle's
- 10:16Speaker 1: sick of her bullshit, like I've been trying to help
- 10:18Speaker 1: you and now you're delaying this and I got to
- 10:20Speaker 1: build my home, and like I'm entitled to my own money.
- 10:23Speaker 1: I don't have a home. You have a home. I don't.
- 10:25Speaker 1: So I can see her getting frustrated and having side
- 10:28Speaker 1: conversations with Cody to see what they can do to
- 10:31Speaker 1: move it along. I'm not convinced yet that that Janelle
- 10:35Speaker 1: was willing to do a backdoor deal. But when we
- 10:38Speaker 1: get to the preview, the season mid season preview and
- 10:41Speaker 1: we see Sukiana, Yeah, we see Sukiana there. Mary's pissed
- 10:49Speaker 1: about it in Jen's with her and she thinks that
- 10:52Speaker 1: Janelle was trying to do her dirty. So I'd like
- 10:54Speaker 1: to learn more about this.
- 10:56Speaker 2: I would like to learn more about it too. And
- 10:57Speaker 2: I mean the way that Janelle was talking about it
- 10:59Speaker 2: in this episod was making me side eye her a
- 11:01Speaker 2: little bit because she's just like, well, yeah, I was
- 11:03Speaker 2: getting impatient with Mary because I wasn't hearing anything from her,
- 11:06Speaker 2: and so yeah, I told Cody, like we could make
- 11:08Speaker 2: this backdoor deal because I think she's saying, like, legally, yeah,
- 11:12Speaker 2: he could sell it from underneath it, but I'm just like,
- 11:15Speaker 2: why would you even.
- 11:16Speaker 1: But could say that to him? If her name is
- 11:18Speaker 1: on the deed and she's not signing off on it,
- 11:22Speaker 1: could she could he sell it out from under her?
- 11:24Speaker 1: I know he could sell the other three parcels, yeah,
- 11:27Speaker 1: but the one parcel that she had thirty percent of, right,
- 11:30Speaker 1: he probably could not have. But what she's expecting is
- 11:34Speaker 1: the full twenty five percent. So maybe Janelle and Cody
- 11:36Speaker 1: are like, well, you can sell the other three plots.
- 11:38Speaker 1: I'm on board to do that, and then Mary just
- 11:40Speaker 1: will get whatever she gets. That I can kind of see.
- 11:44Speaker 1: I hope that's not what happened. But at the same time, Mary,
- 11:48Speaker 1: come on.
- 11:48Speaker 2: I mean, what were you doing? Like I know, Mary,
- 11:52Speaker 2: According to her, she was trying to talk to Cody
- 11:54Speaker 2: through her lawyer and everything, and she wasn't hearing anything
- 11:57Speaker 2: from Cody, which I could also see as very true
- 12:00Speaker 2: because I'm sure Cody wasn't talking to her or her
- 12:02Speaker 2: lawyer whatsoever. And so Mary was just on the back end,
- 12:07Speaker 2: the lonely ex wife that nobody cares about, and she
- 12:10Speaker 2: was just wondering what the hell was going on, So
- 12:12Speaker 2: I can see it from her perspective, But at the
- 12:14Speaker 2: same time, I'm like, yikes, Janelle, I can't even believe
- 12:17Speaker 2: you're acknowledging that you had this kind of a conversation
- 12:20Speaker 2: with Cody. And then we'll hopefully get more information in
- 12:24Speaker 2: the tail all, but we'll.
- 12:25Speaker 1: See, Well, I think he's going to like talk to
- 12:27Speaker 1: some dude about it, so I think he's going to
- 12:30Speaker 1: expand upon what actually happened. But the problem is is
- 12:33Speaker 1: that we cannot trust his narration of events. He's an
- 12:36Speaker 1: unreliable narrator. So I do think we're probably going to
- 12:40Speaker 1: have to wait for that tail all to really figure
- 12:41Speaker 1: out what's going on. But yeah, I have to admit
- 12:44Speaker 1: Janelle's not looking so great. No, But then let's ask
- 12:47Speaker 1: the question, does she owe Mary anything after everything that
- 12:51Speaker 1: she's been through? And that's the.
- 12:53Speaker 2: Thing, It's like Mary didn't really have any of the
- 12:56Speaker 2: other sister wives's back, so why I mean, Janelle was
- 12:59Speaker 2: doing her a song in Flagstaff when she had that conversation.
- 13:02Speaker 2: It was like, look, Cody could sell this from underneath you,
- 13:05Speaker 2: So she was doing her a solid and I think
- 13:07Speaker 2: that that's the root of everything with Janelle. But I
- 13:10Speaker 2: don't know. This whole thing is just messy. I'm glad
- 13:13Speaker 2: it's over with though, that they've sold Coyote Pass. It's done,
- 13:16Speaker 2: and we hear that through the rest of the episode,
- 13:19Speaker 2: everybody's just relieved that the chords are finally cut and
- 13:23Speaker 2: we don't have to deal with Cody.
- 13:24Speaker 1: I'm relieved as well.
- 13:26Speaker 2: Be goddamn, just be done with it, yes, And then
- 13:29Speaker 2: moving on shifting gears, we have Christine and David going
- 13:34Speaker 2: for facials.
- 13:35Speaker 1: And here's where I experience just a little bit of rage,
- 13:40Speaker 1: just a little bit, still a little of rage, because
- 13:44Speaker 1: I personally I don't know about you, or you I
- 13:47Speaker 1: can guess, but I personally don't give a shit. No
- 13:52Speaker 1: to see Christine and her husband get a facial and
- 13:57Speaker 1: talk about monogamy, it seems like it's just a sop
- 14:00Speaker 1: to have another conversation about the difference between monogamy and polygamy,
- 14:07Speaker 1: and how like it's been hard for Christine like to
- 14:10Speaker 1: focus on just one man. She's a very indepandoned woman,
- 14:14Speaker 1: so like this has been difficult for her. But like
- 14:16Speaker 1: David does a lot, she talks a bit about his job,
- 14:20Speaker 1: which I did appreciate, because you know, it's still in
- 14:22Speaker 1: question to me what exactly he's doing. But it sounds
- 14:24Speaker 1: like he's a very hard worker. He's providing for her,
- 14:28Speaker 1: she's providing for him, and so she wanted to do
- 14:30Speaker 1: this as a reward. But at the same time, I
- 14:33Speaker 1: don't don't, I.
- 14:34Speaker 3: Don't, I literally can't.
- 14:36Speaker 1: I can't even say how much I don't care. This
- 14:38Speaker 1: is not the kind of content that I want to
- 14:40Speaker 1: talk about.
- 14:41Speaker 3: Your lawsuit with Cody, and you are real at the
- 14:44Speaker 3: time of this visual suing your ex husband for child support,
- 14:50Speaker 3: and you're also probably you could be talking about the
- 14:54Speaker 3: fact that Cody doesn't really see truly, like there's so
- 14:57Speaker 3: many other things we could actually create for content get into.
- 15:00Speaker 1: But like, why are you scared? Though I don't know,
- 15:03Speaker 1: did you sign an NDA? No? She right, she might
- 15:05Speaker 1: have scared. Why are we doing this anyway? So I
- 15:08Speaker 1: was so bored, and I was just like my blood
- 15:10Speaker 1: prush was going up because this is my life force.
- 15:13Speaker 1: I know, these are minutes, these are hours that I
- 15:16Speaker 1: can never get back, and I'm watching.
- 15:18Speaker 2: You get a stupid facial, I know, and like David
- 15:21Speaker 2: complaining about it because he didn't know that they were
- 15:23Speaker 2: going to go for facials, and he didn't know he
- 15:25Speaker 2: had to take his shirt off, and then he takes
- 15:27Speaker 2: his shirt off on TV, which I'm just like, God,
- 15:29Speaker 2: bless it, but I don't I don't want to know.
- 15:32Speaker 1: You don't think that's sexy.
- 15:33Speaker 2: No, Okay, twondering, but it's just like, the only thing
- 15:38Speaker 2: that came out of this segment to me that was
- 15:40Speaker 2: interesting was David kind of coming for Christine a little
- 15:43Speaker 2: bit because when they're talking about the differences between polygamy
- 15:46Speaker 2: and monogamy or whatever, he says that she doesn't communicate
- 15:50Speaker 2: very well. And I think Christine says her sister told
- 15:53Speaker 2: her that she's a bad monogamous because she's just so
- 15:56Speaker 2: independent and she just does her own thing and she
- 15:59Speaker 2: doesn't communicate because she never really had to when she
- 16:02Speaker 2: was married to Cody. And David's like, yeah, you could
- 16:05Speaker 2: be better about that. That was kind of funny to me, Yeah,
- 16:08Speaker 2: because I was.
- 16:09Speaker 1: Like a little bit of a sliver of an opening
- 16:12Speaker 1: into their actual relationship and wouldn't have been interesting, Yeah,
- 16:17Speaker 1: if we drilled down a little deeper into these issues
- 16:20Speaker 1: instead of like talking about getting facials, right, but.
- 16:24Speaker 2: Talking about how much you love monogamy, Like, we know,
- 16:26Speaker 2: that's great. I'm very happy for you and that's awesome.
- 16:28Speaker 1: And snory and we go to New Orleans Vision. I'm
- 16:34Speaker 1: still snoring. But anyway, oh.
- 16:36Speaker 2: My god, I mean pretty much. We have Mary and
- 16:39Speaker 2: her haunted B and B and it's still being renovated.
- 16:41Speaker 1: Which I love. Yeah, And so for me, maybe it's
- 16:44Speaker 1: because him older and him like an older demographic or whatever,
- 16:48Speaker 1: Like I want to see what she does with that
- 16:50Speaker 1: god awful house. Because since the minute our podcast came
- 16:54Speaker 1: into creation, yeah spoken forth into creation, I have been
- 16:58Speaker 1: calling that a haunted BMB just decorated, does a terribly
- 17:03Speaker 1: design bad And I'm just like, why are you living this?
- 17:07Speaker 1: Why are you subjecting yourself to living this way? And
- 17:11Speaker 1: so we have been talking about it from the very beginning,
- 17:13Speaker 1: like renovate this place, and so now she is and
- 17:16Speaker 1: I'm very curious to see what appointments she selects her cabinet,
- 17:21Speaker 1: try the stone work, what are we gonna do in
- 17:23Speaker 1: this Victorian house?
- 17:25Speaker 2: I know, I hope she does something nice. And she
- 17:27Speaker 2: does say that she wants to change the B and
- 17:30Speaker 2: B into more of like a retreat.
- 17:31Speaker 1: Where is she living? Because I know they had that
- 17:36Speaker 1: one scene in the attic or I don't know if
- 17:38Speaker 1: are they both living like bats up in the bell
- 17:42Speaker 1: Tower attic?
- 17:43Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 17:43Speaker 1: Or do they have Does she have another home? Is
- 17:45Speaker 1: what I'm kind of getting out, because I don't think
- 17:47Speaker 1: that Mary really wants to live there, and I don't
- 17:50Speaker 1: know my person. Well, she has kind of nice taste
- 17:53Speaker 1: when you look at her home and flag staff. No nice,
- 17:57Speaker 1: I don't know, nicer than this, it's all I'm saying.
- 18:00Speaker 1: And have you ever lived in a home that is
- 18:02Speaker 1: being actively renovated?
- 18:04Speaker 2: Yeah, it's awful.
- 18:05Speaker 1: It's a Dauntean level of hell. It's terrible. You're down
- 18:09Speaker 1: there with the popes and the liars. It's really fucking awful. Yeah.
- 18:12Speaker 1: So I just can't imagine she's actually living in the
- 18:16Speaker 1: B and B. But maybe she is.
- 18:17Speaker 2: Maybe she is. Maybe she's bumping her twin bed up
- 18:20Speaker 2: to Amber's twin bed and they're hanging out together, you know,
- 18:24Speaker 2: getting a little wake up.
- 18:25Speaker 1: In the morning with their cup of coffee, and they're like,
- 18:27Speaker 1: what are we gonna do? Maybe like let's write on
- 18:29Speaker 1: the walls or something, just little love notes and inspirational
- 18:34Speaker 1: quotes and stuff that would be so fun hunt.
- 18:39Speaker 2: And they do have it's Amber, I don't know Mary's
- 18:42Speaker 2: lesbian friend who is a family friend who might allegedly
- 18:48Speaker 2: be a homosexual, because it kinda is giving that to me.
- 18:52Speaker 2: She's like, I want a fresh start, and like, I've
- 18:55Speaker 2: been going through a lot of my life.
- 18:56Speaker 1: And I would love if you paid for it.
- 18:58Speaker 2: I would love if I can stay on this twin
- 19:00Speaker 2: bed up in the attic for free, please and things.
- 19:04Speaker 1: It looks abysmal.
- 19:05Speaker 2: Yeah, And like pretty much all that came out of
- 19:07Speaker 2: this scene, besides the renovations on the Haunted BMB, was
- 19:11Speaker 2: just Amber asking Mary about the awkward Coyote Pass standoff
- 19:16Speaker 2: and then Mary's like, yeah, could he wouldn't even look
- 19:18Speaker 2: at me. He wouldn't even look at me in the eye.
- 19:21Speaker 2: And that's it. Yeah, And no one cares, no, And
- 19:24Speaker 2: then we go over to North Carolina. We have Janelle
- 19:27Speaker 2: talking with Maddie a little bit about Coyote Pass because
- 19:30Speaker 2: apparently my Maddie has been in like a front row
- 19:33Speaker 2: seat to all of this drama Lama, and she's been
- 19:36Speaker 2: really frustrated with Janelle about the whole thing, and she's
- 19:39Speaker 2: excited that it's finally sold. But they do talk a
- 19:42Speaker 2: little bit of smack, like a little but that's it.
- 19:46Speaker 1: Yeah, I think Maddie is surprised that her father didn't
- 19:51Speaker 1: even say hello, much less look at Janelle or like
- 19:56Speaker 1: acknowledge Janelle's existence. But at the same time, as you're
- 20:00Speaker 1: watching Maddie, it's like she's not surprised. No, she knows
- 20:03Speaker 1: just sort of piece of crap her father is and
- 20:06Speaker 1: she's like, I, Okay, I guess.
- 20:09Speaker 2: It is what it is. Right now that it's done,
- 20:11Speaker 2: we can focus on our flower farm or whatever. But
- 20:13Speaker 2: before they do that, Janelle's like, well, now that I
- 20:16Speaker 2: have some money in my pocket, I'm going to go
- 20:17Speaker 2: to New Orleans with some of my friends and have
- 20:21Speaker 2: a girls trip.
- 20:22Speaker 1: Here's what we know. Janelle has no friends totally produce her.
- 20:27Speaker 1: But yeah, I mean I believe she probably met them
- 20:30Speaker 1: in Flag in the Fire, maybe Plexus, maybe an MLEM affiliation,
- 20:35Speaker 1: But like she seems so uncomfortable around these women. These
- 20:40Speaker 1: women seem like clout goblins who just want camera time
- 20:44Speaker 1: and they go and they do all of these produced things,
- 20:47Speaker 1: which obviously we'll get into. But like Janelle never for
- 20:49Speaker 1: one moment seems comfortable. She seems like generally socially awkward,
- 20:54Speaker 1: like she's not necessarily comfortable being with people she's not
- 20:57Speaker 1: comfortable with. Yeah, and that's what I was getting from this.
- 21:00Speaker 2: Trip, definitely. And you hear from her a little bit
- 21:02Speaker 2: about that, like how she never really had time to
- 21:05Speaker 2: have any kind of girlfriends or friends in general, like
- 21:08Speaker 2: especially when they were in Vegas or whenever she was
- 21:11Speaker 2: working full time, like she didn't have time to have
- 21:13Speaker 2: a social life. So she says that these producer planted
- 21:17Speaker 2: friends are her first friends in a very very long time,
- 21:20Speaker 2: and that could make sense why she's so socially awkward.
- 21:23Speaker 2: But this whole scene, I mean, this whole thing was
- 21:25Speaker 2: just like super produced. You get like some interesting ish
- 21:29Speaker 2: conversations about like her type of man and what she
- 21:32Speaker 2: wants and how she's going to get a spiritual release, yes,
- 21:36Speaker 2: because that's the final, final tie that she has to
- 21:39Speaker 2: Cody Brown. So she is moving forward with that and
- 21:42Speaker 2: that's good. But then we go and sit outside and
- 21:46Speaker 2: we eat alligator hot dogs and bugs for like ten minutes.
- 21:50Speaker 1: Right, And the theme of this scene is trying something new, yeah,
- 21:54Speaker 1: and breaking out of our show and writing a new
- 21:57Speaker 1: chapter in our life. And I can appreciate the center.
- 22:00Speaker 1: But I don't need to see you eat chocolate covered crickets.
- 22:04Speaker 1: I know with these random people, it's just to me,
- 22:07Speaker 1: it's not meaningful. It's kind of You have to be
- 22:11Speaker 1: intuitive about who Janelle really is. When you watch scenes
- 22:14Speaker 1: like this, you can say, oh, like she does, she's
- 22:16Speaker 1: kind of friendless. She only has her kids. She set
- 22:19Speaker 1: her life up in such a way that she was
- 22:21Speaker 1: only surrounded by the family that she loved. And now
- 22:23Speaker 1: she's no longer with Cody, her kids are getting older,
- 22:26Speaker 1: and now what are you going to do with your life?
- 22:27Speaker 1: So that's the question as a viewer that I would
- 22:30Speaker 1: love to ponder, but not in this particular way. No,
- 22:34Speaker 1: not at all.
- 22:35Speaker 2: And then after they're done eating a bunch of bugs
- 22:37Speaker 2: and alligator hot dogs, they go back to their hotel
- 22:39Speaker 2: room or whatever, and they have like a little kiki
- 22:42Speaker 2: with some champagne. And this was a little interesting because
- 22:46Speaker 2: Janelle says something to the effect of, like Cody, when
- 22:49Speaker 2: he turned fifty, he started making all this noise about
- 22:53Speaker 2: how it was just such a burden to carry the
- 22:56Speaker 2: family on his shoulders, and he was getting tired of it,
- 22:59Speaker 2: and he started shirking his responsibilities. And then we have
- 23:03Speaker 2: Cody and his talking heads saying I never did that.
- 23:06Speaker 2: I always gave my full one hundred and ten percent.
- 23:09Speaker 1: It was everybody else that didn't do their part, of course,
- 23:13Speaker 1: so completely on brand and on message. I like this
- 23:17Speaker 1: scene too, because Janelle seemed to maybe loosen up a
- 23:20Speaker 1: little bit and wondering about how many alcoholic beverages she
- 23:24Speaker 1: likes to consume. I know, I like you, so I'm
- 23:26Speaker 1: not judging anybody. But you know, they're talking about Cody's visor,
- 23:30Speaker 1: which is great, and making fun of his absolute pomposity
- 23:34Speaker 1: and stupidity, which we love. And then of course we
- 23:37Speaker 1: get into conversations about the kind of man that Janelle
- 23:40Speaker 1: might want to end up with.
- 23:41Speaker 4: Is he tall?
- 23:42Speaker 1: Is he a short king? Just like this forced conversation
- 23:46Speaker 1: that again I don't think Janelle would organically have with people,
- 23:50Speaker 1: because I believe her when she says, I'm not ready
- 23:54Speaker 1: for a relationship. I am not interested to go on
- 23:57Speaker 1: farmers only I find a farmer, like, let me just
- 24:00Speaker 1: build a fuged house so I can have something steady
- 24:03Speaker 1: and stable in my life before I even start thinking
- 24:05Speaker 1: about these things. But you can see also that Janelle
- 24:09Speaker 1: recognizes that she needs this job, honey, she needs sister wives,
- 24:14Speaker 1: she needs this paycheck because this is one of the
- 24:18Speaker 1: only ways that she's supporting herself. Well, of course, now
- 24:20Speaker 1: we know, and we did talk about it in the
- 24:22Speaker 1: after show last week. Last week, Now we know that
- 24:26Speaker 1: she's launched her coaching business, coaching you on like how
- 24:30Speaker 1: to get your life together, bitch, and also how to
- 24:33Speaker 1: get your fitness together, bitch. And I mean we talked
- 24:36Speaker 1: about it on the after show like she's trying to
- 24:39Speaker 1: drum up though, yeah, multiple streams of income, because I
- 24:42Speaker 1: do think she realizes, shit, what I am? What am
- 24:45Speaker 1: I going to do? So that's why we have scenes
- 24:47Speaker 1: like this, because this is Janelle's job.
- 24:50Speaker 2: Yep. And I get that, you know, I understand. It's
- 24:54Speaker 2: just you could produce better content. Indeed, you don't have
- 24:57Speaker 2: to go and eat bugs and talk about how you're
- 25:00Speaker 2: you know, push into boundaries and going outside your comfort
- 25:03Speaker 2: zone because you're eating chocolate covered cockroaches like nobody cares
- 25:07Speaker 2: about that. Just talk some shit about Cody. I just
- 25:10Speaker 2: don't understand. I don't remember if I said this last week,
- 25:12Speaker 2: but I think Ethel and I were talking about it afterwards,
- 25:15Speaker 2: like these people could make so much fucking money. If
- 25:20Speaker 2: they just had a Patreon where they were just telling
- 25:24Speaker 2: family secrets and telling stuff about Cody and talking about
- 25:27Speaker 2: their marriages or whatever, just talking about family drama that
- 25:30Speaker 2: we hadn't seen on the show, or just even innocently
- 25:34Speaker 2: just reacting to you to the past episodes.
- 25:37Speaker 1: That's what I'm saying, Like, it wouldn't even have to
- 25:39Speaker 1: be like divulging all of your family's secrets because Tony
- 25:42Speaker 1: and McKelty don't do that.
- 25:43Speaker 2: They don't.
- 25:44Speaker 1: They literally just react and every now and again they
- 25:46Speaker 1: throw a little morsel out there that we can kind
- 25:48Speaker 1: of dig a little deeper into and make our assumptions. Yeah,
- 25:51Speaker 1: but they don't really have to do that. Yeah, and
- 25:53Speaker 1: there's still I imagine bringing in a good wage because
- 25:57Speaker 1: you know, Tony don't.
- 25:57Speaker 3: We're good.
- 25:58Speaker 1: No, you know, he's a chess master.
- 26:00Speaker 2: Like that is chess career.
- 26:01Speaker 1: It's good, a chess career, Okay, But like Michelty and Tony,
- 26:03Speaker 1: this is what they do. So Janelle could absolutely do
- 26:06Speaker 1: something like that. I wonder if maybe she's prohibited by TLC.
- 26:10Speaker 2: Or an NDA.
- 26:12Speaker 1: Maybe if you signed an NDA imposed upon you by
- 26:16Speaker 1: Cody Brown, I like, my respect just keeps notching down.
- 26:20Speaker 1: I'm like, come on, why would you do that.
- 26:22Speaker 2: I'm kind of wondering with the content that we're getting
- 26:25Speaker 2: from Mary, Christine and Janelle. I'm like, did you all
- 26:28Speaker 2: three sign an NDA like many years ago and now
- 26:31Speaker 2: you're just doing what you can with what you're able
- 26:34Speaker 2: to on the show, Like, is that what's happening? But
- 26:37Speaker 2: this just goes back to what I've been saying all season.
- 26:39Speaker 2: It's like, I'm glad that Janelle's moving on with her life.
- 26:41Speaker 2: I'm glad Christine Christine's moving on with her life, and
- 26:44Speaker 2: I'm glad Mary's renovating her Hunted B and B and
- 26:46Speaker 2: going to Disneyland. That's awesome. It just does not make
- 26:49Speaker 2: for compelling TV. Nope, period, Right, that's it agreed. And
- 26:55Speaker 2: then the last portion of the episode is Cody and
- 27:00Speaker 2: in their ugly ass, big ass mcmanson. Cody has his beard.
- 27:05Speaker 2: So this was filmed prior to last week's segment or
- 27:09Speaker 2: prior to the whole Special Forces training bullshit, and so
- 27:12Speaker 2: we know that this is all manufactured or just improperly edited.
- 27:18Speaker 2: But this whole conversation is Cody talking to Robin about
- 27:24Speaker 2: getting a therapist so he could work on improving his
- 27:27Speaker 2: relationships with his children.
- 27:30Speaker 1: Which could be amazing, except you cannot therapize an arc, No, Like,
- 27:35Speaker 1: they just weaponize your therapeutic language and whatever they learn
- 27:39Speaker 1: from you in therapy, and they turned that into a
- 27:42Speaker 1: weapon in their various relationships. But like, I was shocked
- 27:46Speaker 1: to hear that out of his mouth, that he was
- 27:47Speaker 1: thinking of that, And of course Robin's like, oh my god,
- 27:49Speaker 1: it would be amazing.
- 27:51Speaker 2: Such a good idea. Wow, yes, well you're coming back
- 27:55Speaker 2: to the man that I married, the good man that
- 27:57Speaker 2: I married. So glad. Like, this whole scene was so.
- 28:01Speaker 1: Fake, absolutely and rehearsed and not spontaneous. And I don't
- 28:07Speaker 1: believe I think that either of these folks say I
- 28:12Speaker 1: did think that there was an authentic inclination when Cody
- 28:16Speaker 1: was talking about his relationship with his own father, He's
- 28:19Speaker 1: talking about like the knife of the father into the
- 28:22Speaker 1: heart of the childwide and he does refer back to
- 28:26Speaker 1: his dad and how he wished that he had fixed
- 28:29Speaker 1: his relationship with his father. And so if there is
- 28:32Speaker 1: a spark of consciousness and goodness inside of Cody, which
- 28:35Speaker 1: I doubt, I doubt, but if there is, maybe he's
- 28:37Speaker 1: actually thinking about himself as the father and all of
- 28:41Speaker 1: the kids and the relationships that he has, and maybe
- 28:43Speaker 1: that's why he's doing this. But we know that this
- 28:47Speaker 1: was filmed last year before Special Forces. We know that
- 28:52Speaker 1: his kids didn't even know he was going to film
- 28:53Speaker 1: Special Forces and he has returned and he's still not
- 28:57Speaker 1: talking to his kids. I mean, he thinks Logan's to
- 29:00Speaker 1: totally supporting him, because Logan dropped a comment on his
- 29:03Speaker 1: Instagram like he's gotten a relationships with his kids, so
- 29:06Speaker 1: he's not doing anything. So long story short, this is fake.
- 29:10Speaker 2: It's all fake, and it's it's just for him to
- 29:13Speaker 2: try and rehab his image and also vicariously Robin to
- 29:17Speaker 2: rehab her image. It's all just to make us the viewers,
- 29:21Speaker 2: believe that he cares about mending the relationships with his kids,
- 29:25Speaker 2: which I don't think he fucking does. He says things like, well,
- 29:29Speaker 2: I'm tired of being blamed for everything, but I'm also
- 29:34Speaker 2: gonna keep blaming everybody else. Like he's like just going
- 29:37Speaker 2: back and forth without his speech, and then he talks
- 29:39Speaker 2: about with his kids like he was angry at his
- 29:43Speaker 2: children for the things that they were saying during the divorce,
- 29:46Speaker 2: but now he sees that they were victims of the divorce,
- 29:49Speaker 2: and so he kind of understands, but at the same time,
- 29:52Speaker 2: there's still hurt there that I have because they hurt
- 29:55Speaker 2: my fee fees when I left their moms and trash
- 29:58Speaker 2: talked them on National Tea for an entire season.
- 30:02Speaker 1: One season, like three seasons.
- 30:04Speaker 2: Yeah, and he's like, so I got to go to
- 30:06Speaker 2: a therapist so I can work on my shit, so
- 30:09Speaker 2: I can push my angry feelings aside, so that way
- 30:12Speaker 2: I can have a good relationship with my kids. Yeah.
- 30:14Speaker 1: And when he talks about all the mean things he
- 30:16Speaker 1: said about their moms, he doesn't say that I was wrong, No,
- 30:21Speaker 1: I was talking out of my ass. He's like, I
- 30:24Speaker 1: just shouldn't have shared that. Yeah, I believe it one
- 30:26Speaker 1: hundred percent. Though those women are bitches, Like that's how
- 30:29Speaker 1: it came across me. And then you have Robin sitting
- 30:31Speaker 1: across from him, and then on the couch and her
- 30:35Speaker 1: interstitial she's like, you know, watching Cody get rejected by
- 30:39Speaker 1: his kids and going through all of this turmoil and
- 30:41Speaker 1: the pain that he's feeling and that all of the
- 30:43Speaker 1: kids are feeling really makes me think of me.
- 30:47Speaker 2: And really makes me think about me, me and my
- 30:51Speaker 2: biological father.
- 30:52Speaker 1: I cares, I cared a little like I was. I
- 30:56Speaker 1: was interested because it was different. That's the only reason
- 30:59Speaker 1: I was interested. Because then we kind of get into,
- 31:02Speaker 1: you know, Robin talking about her bio dad and how
- 31:07Speaker 1: they were divorced when she was like nine years old
- 31:09Speaker 1: or whatever, and she went on to have a relationship
- 31:11Speaker 1: with her weird ass stepfather was at the birth of
- 31:13Speaker 1: all her children looking at her punani whatever. I won't
- 31:16Speaker 1: get sidetracked, but like how she would love to have
- 31:20Speaker 1: her father in her life to this day, and how
- 31:23Speaker 1: she looks like her father. I don't know. I was
- 31:26Speaker 1: getting a little overclemmed because I'm a human being with
- 31:28Speaker 1: the heart and I have feelings. Sure, And then I remember,
- 31:30Speaker 1: all this is Robin Brown making it all about herself.
- 31:34Speaker 1: So I think what she's trying to say, stupidly is
- 31:38Speaker 1: that she is the child of a Cody Brown who
- 31:42Speaker 1: doesn't have a relationship with a dad and she really
- 31:44Speaker 1: wants one, and so that's why she really wants Cody
- 31:48Speaker 1: to work it out. And then the other thing that
- 31:49Speaker 1: she said, and I'm sure you're gonna bring it up,
- 31:51Speaker 1: but I'm just going to jump all over it was
- 31:53Speaker 1: something something like, you know, I really want Cody to
- 31:57Speaker 1: have these relationships with this kid, you know, his kids,
- 32:00Speaker 1: and I really want his kids to want that relationship
- 32:04Speaker 1: with him and with me and with me.
- 32:07Speaker 2: She can't, No, she can't because she's also a narc.
- 32:13Speaker 2: She's terrible, and it's like I can have some sympathy
- 32:16Speaker 2: for her with her biological father, like okay, like I guess.
- 32:21Speaker 2: But she used that conversation at the same time to
- 32:24Speaker 2: talk about how parents can influence their children to like
- 32:30Speaker 2: hate their other parents. Yeah, like especially in divorces and stuff.
- 32:34Speaker 2: And so they're insinuating that the OG three influenced all
- 32:40Speaker 2: of the other children to be against Cody and to
- 32:43Speaker 2: be against Robin. But that's not the truth. The truth
- 32:48Speaker 2: is that Robin and Cody suck ass and they're terrible parents,
- 32:51Speaker 2: and they abandoned the entire family. So it's just another
- 32:55Speaker 2: way to like shirk off their own accountability and be
- 32:59Speaker 2: like no, no, no, they were just badly influenced. These
- 33:02Speaker 2: adult children, these people who are fully fludged, right adults
- 33:06Speaker 2: were influenced by their moms negatively, And we're actually good people.
- 33:10Speaker 1: It's kind of wild because we just cut our Thanksgiving
- 33:14Speaker 1: special for Patreon in which we watched sort of like
- 33:17Speaker 1: the Browns through Thanksgivings and stuff like that. But there
- 33:20Speaker 1: were several scenes of Robin sitting her kids down talking
- 33:24Speaker 1: about how Christine and Janelle aren't coming to Thanksgiving in
- 33:28Speaker 1: the MiG mansion. I guess they have better things to do,
- 33:30Speaker 1: or I guess they don't want to follow the COVID
- 33:33Speaker 1: protocols because they don't love us enough. Like you see
- 33:35Speaker 1: her actively influencing her children in those moments. So as
- 33:40Speaker 1: we are now in twenty twenty five and Robin is
- 33:42Speaker 1: giving this speech to the camera, I'm like, are you
- 33:45Speaker 1: thinking about yourself though? Like, do you have the capacity
- 33:49Speaker 1: to realize that you have been doing that the entire time?
- 33:52Speaker 1: And I think you probably did that a little bit
- 33:54Speaker 1: with Michelty too, because you wielded influence over her, Like
- 33:57Speaker 1: and you make the connection, lady.
- 33:59Speaker 2: I mean, Robin's been it from the freaking jump, because
- 34:01Speaker 2: if you want to go back all the way to
- 34:03Speaker 2: her first husband, she probably did the same thing with
- 34:05Speaker 2: her older three children and turn them against their father
- 34:10Speaker 2: so that way they would want to be adopted by
- 34:12Speaker 2: Cody Brown. Like it's this the whole thing was just
- 34:14Speaker 2: so manipulative, and I'm just like so tired of it.
- 34:17Speaker 2: I don't know why we have to have a Cody
- 34:19Speaker 2: and Robin like forced redemption arc. And then when we
- 34:23Speaker 2: get to the preview, it's like we have Cody embarking
- 34:25Speaker 2: on his apology tour, and I'm just like why, I
- 34:30Speaker 2: don't want that.
- 34:30Speaker 1: To make a full season out of it.
- 34:32Speaker 2: I would rather watch Janelle eat bugs for a whole.
- 34:35Speaker 1: Episode, and I don't want to watch that at all. No,
- 34:37Speaker 1: I don't know, Yeah, it's just awful. I just I
- 34:42Speaker 1: I detest Robin in particular so much, and and I
- 34:48Speaker 1: say it all the time, but like I do want
- 34:49Speaker 1: to reiterate. She's also stupid. She's not the most intelligent
- 34:53Speaker 1: person in the world, and so she literally thinks she's
- 34:56Speaker 1: pulling the wool over our eyes and we can't see
- 34:58Speaker 1: and like we didn't watch every single well season with
- 35:01Speaker 1: a monocle from the dumpster and saw everything that she did.
- 35:04Speaker 1: Like it's just stupid and also evil.
- 35:07Speaker 2: Yep, incredibly manipulative. And then the other thing that came
- 35:10Speaker 2: out of this whole section with Cody and Robin was
- 35:13Speaker 2: when Cody was crying about his relationship with his dad
- 35:16Speaker 2: and not mending it or whatever, and how all he
- 35:18Speaker 2: wanted or all he wants right now is just to
- 35:20Speaker 2: be able to get some beers with his dad. Then
- 35:23Speaker 2: he makes a comment about how, well, but I did
- 35:25Speaker 2: get some beers with Garrison before he passed away, And
- 35:29Speaker 2: I'm just like, why do you got to bring in
- 35:31Speaker 2: that comment there? Because there's a lot of people talking
- 35:35Speaker 2: about like Cody's influence with Garrison's passing and stuff, and
- 35:38Speaker 2: I'm not going to get into all of it because
- 35:41Speaker 2: it's really dark shit. But I'm just like, you're just
- 35:44Speaker 2: saying that again to try and rehab your image and
- 35:47Speaker 2: act like you're not a terrible absentee father. But like, no,
- 35:51Speaker 2: like I did get beers with my kid that died
- 35:54Speaker 2: last year.
- 35:54Speaker 1: Who had an alcohol problem if the entire family knew
- 35:57Speaker 1: about didn't you know? That doesn't sound like you did.
- 36:01Speaker 1: I do want to kind of put the question out
- 36:03Speaker 1: there to our listeners and our viewers, because I don't
- 36:06Speaker 1: really know where the estrangement was with Winn and Cody.
- 36:11Speaker 1: Like I know that because we're only in like season
- 36:13Speaker 1: six of our rewind. I know that Win has and
- 36:16Speaker 1: he's just passed, right, Yeah, So I know that Winn
- 36:18Speaker 1: has been set up to be kind of a man's man,
- 36:21Speaker 1: kind of a hard as domineering sort of a personality,
- 36:25Speaker 1: and Cody was obviously a snowflake and a flamboyant little
- 36:28Speaker 1: wrestler and everything, so I could see how him and
- 36:31Speaker 1: his dad would butt heads. But like, also, Cody is
- 36:35Speaker 1: the only child I think of the children we've met
- 36:38Speaker 1: who went into polygamy, like his father, who like kind
- 36:41Speaker 1: of blindly followed his father into this faith. And so
- 36:45Speaker 1: you could see how he emulated his dad and he
- 36:48Speaker 1: wanted to be like his dad in so many ways.
- 36:50Speaker 1: That's where he gets his drive to be this masculine man.
- 36:53Speaker 1: But like what happened in that relationship that they fell
- 36:55Speaker 1: out and in Win's final years, like they weren't really talking,
- 37:00Speaker 1: happened to everybody. I don't know.
- 37:01Speaker 2: I don't know. I want to say, from my recollection
- 37:04Speaker 2: of watching the previous seasons, like Cody said, when was
- 37:09Speaker 2: just mean, like he wasn't necessarily nice or like comforting
- 37:13Speaker 2: or loving. There's like one episode I can't remember if
- 37:16Speaker 2: we covered it already in our recaps, but where he
- 37:19Speaker 2: was like crying about the blazer that his dad got
- 37:21Speaker 2: him or like the jack.
- 37:24Speaker 1: Yeah, that's right.
- 37:25Speaker 2: Yeah, and it was just about him, like protecting him
- 37:28Speaker 2: when he was cold, and Cody misunderstood.
- 37:30Speaker 1: For Carlson's funeral that might have been think it was actually, yeah.
- 37:33Speaker 2: I can't remember. It all blurs together because all of
- 37:36Speaker 2: this fucking shit is spliced together over many years. But yeah,
- 37:40Speaker 2: I mean I could see, like Cody just not understanding
- 37:44Speaker 2: his dad and then his exactly and so then he
- 37:48Speaker 2: dies and then there's no reconciliation and then what do
- 37:51Speaker 2: you do with that? And it's like, okay, well, Cody,
- 37:53Speaker 2: you should use that as a lesson then to not
- 37:55Speaker 2: repeat the fucking generational shit with all of your children
- 37:58Speaker 2: that didn't ask to born and didn't ask to be
- 38:01Speaker 2: your spawn.
- 38:02Speaker 1: It's interesting to me how a lot of us as
- 38:04Speaker 1: we age kind of slide into the roles that our
- 38:07Speaker 1: parents took on. And he's kind of sliding into that
- 38:10Speaker 1: hard ass, mean spirited, kind of vicious tongued role model
- 38:16Speaker 1: that maybe when presented to him, and now he's kind
- 38:19Speaker 1: of becoming that himself. Yeah, he better be careful.
- 38:23Speaker 2: It's unfortunate, it is. And then we get to the
- 38:25Speaker 2: preview for I guess the rest of the season so
- 38:28Speaker 2: hopefully this won't be a thirty long, thirty episode line.
- 38:31Speaker 1: I don't think so. I think it's going to end
- 38:33Speaker 1: in December, like I was saying, thank on.
- 38:35Speaker 2: But we have Cody embarking on his stupid apology tour,
- 38:38Speaker 2: and so he takes all of the wives and also
- 38:41Speaker 2: Robin out to dinner and gives fake apologies to everybody.
- 38:45Speaker 2: Christine is the only one that's really questioning his motive
- 38:49Speaker 2: with any of it, and she brings David along to
- 38:52Speaker 2: the apology dinner, which I think is pretty funny.
- 38:54Speaker 1: I would have done the very same thing. I mean, right,
- 38:56Speaker 1: wouldn't you.
- 38:58Speaker 2: And then we have Mary kind of fighting Cody a
- 39:01Speaker 2: little bit with the apology tour and like telling him,
- 39:04Speaker 2: you know, like, don't even give me this.
- 39:06Speaker 1: Fake instance Sarah apology. And Cody's like, even now, it's
- 39:10Speaker 1: so toxic between us, and she's like, well, can you
- 39:13Speaker 1: acknowledge that you're bringing some toxic energy, toxic energy into
- 39:17Speaker 1: the conversation And he's not going to and they're gonna
- 39:20Speaker 1: leave at a stalemate.
- 39:22Speaker 2: Yeah, but I'm I am excited to see how they
- 39:24Speaker 2: all respond to Cody's fake apologies. I'm not excited to
- 39:29Speaker 2: watch a Cody Gravel and pretend like.
- 39:31Speaker 1: He doesn't mean it.
- 39:33Speaker 2: No, not at all. He doesn't mean it to any
- 39:35Speaker 2: except to Robin, because he does take her out on
- 39:38Speaker 2: a date and he's like, I want to apologize to
- 39:39Speaker 2: you too, because I'm sorry that I wasn't a perfect
- 39:42Speaker 2: husband to you. And She'll be like, oh my god,
- 39:44Speaker 2: it's a key equity.
- 39:44Speaker 1: I love you some wood.
- 39:46Speaker 2: And then we have Mary going on some date with
- 39:50Speaker 2: that guy Ron from the speed dating. Yes, I guess
- 39:53Speaker 2: he needs another TLC paycheck, right, So that's great. And
- 39:56Speaker 2: then we have the tell all's with Sukiana, our.
- 40:00Speaker 1: Favorite, and Mary comes in with Jim. She's she looks
- 40:05Speaker 1: upset and she wants to call out a few things
- 40:08Speaker 1: and talk about trying they were trying to silence her.
- 40:11Speaker 1: And we've got Suki talking to Christine about Cody wanting
- 40:15Speaker 1: to apologize for saying he was never attracted to her,
- 40:18Speaker 1: and Christine gets really upset. And so maybe there's going
- 40:21Speaker 1: to be a little more fire and energy and life
- 40:26Speaker 1: in these tell alls. But I am not holding my breath.
- 40:29Speaker 2: I'm not either. I mean, we do see Cody like
- 40:31Speaker 2: screaming at Sukiana for some kind of question she asks him.
- 40:35Speaker 2: So it's like, we're gonna get more of that.
- 40:37Speaker 1: Thanks, thanks, producers, because we're not talking sad or anything.
- 40:41Speaker 1: So glad we haven't been asking you to do something
- 40:43Speaker 1: different this entire time, Like, thanks for doing nothing different.
- 40:46Speaker 2: No, they're not going to do anything. We're going to
- 40:48Speaker 2: get a four part tell all again probably yeah, last
- 40:51Speaker 2: a whole fucking month. It'll be nothing, yep. And then
- 40:53Speaker 2: maybe we'll get a special with Janelle in like Utah
- 40:58Speaker 2: or something on another girl's trip and we'll have like
- 41:00Speaker 2: an hour long special with Janelle doing some dumb bullshitt.
- 41:03Speaker 1: Please know Jesus have mercy God. But yeah, no, it's
- 41:07Speaker 1: going to be us having to sit down and watch
- 41:10Speaker 1: the footage that we've already seen and have them comment
- 41:13Speaker 1: and say nothing.
- 41:14Speaker 2: And then it'll probably be season twenties over and like
- 41:18Speaker 2: this is the final season of Sister Wives.
- 41:20Speaker 1: Ever, it's not going to be bitch. They're coming back
- 41:23Speaker 1: for season twenty one. They're going to launch it next
- 41:26Speaker 1: August and it's same as it ever was. Why I
- 41:29Speaker 1: don't know, girl, but we're here. We are here for
- 41:32Speaker 1: the rise. We are now. We also want to acknowledge
- 41:36Speaker 1: that Cody did complete his stint on Special Forces. We
- 41:41Speaker 1: were going to talk about it tonight, but we have
- 41:43Speaker 1: so much to do that we have to do those things,
- 41:45Speaker 1: and we're going to talk about it next week. And
- 41:47Speaker 1: also there are some gossipy bits that we definitely want
- 41:50Speaker 1: to get into with you because he did another dumb
- 41:53Speaker 1: interview that we're gonna have to talk about, So look
- 41:56Speaker 1: for that next week either on Patreon or hear on
- 41:58Speaker 1: the general Pause. Also, we want to say Happy Thanksgiving, Raccoon.
- 42:03Speaker 2: Thanks Giving it you celebrate.

- 42:14Speaker 1: for sure. But we just love you. We love doing

- 42:18Speaker 1: twice a week and talk about our favorite trashiest shows,

- 42:27Speaker 1: just love you a lot. So Happy Thanksgiving, and again,
