- 0:00Speaker 1: You're listening to a lily Pad production.
- 0:04Speaker 2: This is the Team Up Play Show podcast. Hello, Hello,
- 0:28Speaker 2: Johnny here, and we thought that it would be fun
- 0:31Speaker 2: for you guys to get to listen to our live show.
- 0:33Speaker 2: We recorded it while we were there. It was a
- 0:35Speaker 2: great time. This was technically our launch party Team Up
- 0:39Speaker 2: launch party. We introduced the book for the game itself,
- 0:43Speaker 2: we introduced the cast, and we had a really fun
- 0:45Speaker 2: time playing a little one shot live. This is not
- 0:50Speaker 2: canon for you cannon heads. This is an event, a
- 0:53Speaker 2: made up, fake event that is not canon. So if
- 0:58Speaker 2: you freak out about what's going on, this is not
- 1:00Speaker 2: part of the story. I know that the podcast right now,
- 1:04Speaker 2: Episode fifteen left on quite the cliffhanger, so we thought
- 1:07Speaker 2: we'd turn up the heat a little bit and release
- 1:10Speaker 2: this right now so that you have to wait just
- 1:12Speaker 2: a little bit longer to see what happens in episode sixteen.
- 1:16Speaker 2: Please enjoy this live one shot of Team Up. Last
- 1:21Speaker 2: thing I'll say is at the end, I am going
- 1:24Speaker 2: to read the speech that I gave at the beginning
- 1:28Speaker 2: of the launch party. I gave it a little speech
- 1:30Speaker 2: about what Team Up is and why it's important to
- 1:33Speaker 2: me and what I think it can accomplish, So please
- 1:36Speaker 2: stick around for that at the end and share it
- 1:39Speaker 2: with someone who you think would be interested to play
- 1:43Speaker 2: this game and have the child like make believe experience
- 1:46Speaker 2: that is Team Up. So thank you so much and enjoy.
- 2:06Speaker 2: I'm the paper Phantom.
- 2:10Speaker 3: Jason is wrapped in a paper cloak, a paper hood,
- 2:14Speaker 3: and a long flowing paper cape, a CVS receipt as
- 2:20Speaker 3: a scarf, billowing in the wind. As he looks down
- 2:27Speaker 3: at the city below. He he can feel the paper
- 2:30Speaker 3: rustling on the street, and there's a darkness beside him.
- 2:37Speaker 3: I want to I know that there's action. I could
- 2:40Speaker 3: hear it coming from upstairs. I put my hand on
- 2:44Speaker 3: the paper walled wallpaper, and I want to travel via
- 2:48Speaker 3: the paper. I want to go into the paper and
- 2:52Speaker 3: come out another piece of paper.
- 2:56Speaker 2: You know who I am? Yeah? I think I did?
- 3:00Speaker 4: You know my name?
- 3:02Speaker 2: Yeah? Say it, Paper Phantom. That's fucking right, he knows,
- 3:12Speaker 2: because he left Page and Arthur alone to try and
- 3:17Speaker 2: fulfill his own selfish desires.
- 3:19Speaker 3: Before that they were taken, they were hurt. Ever again
- 3:26Speaker 3: drops the Duffel bag, paper streaks out of it, enveloping him.
- 3:33Speaker 3: He steps into the alley. Paper Sword brandished, rushing towards
- 3:40Speaker 3: the assailant.
- 3:43Speaker 2: Let's rip it up. Books librarian by night and becoming
- 3:51Speaker 2: the paper Phantom, a race terrorizing the underworld by wait
- 3:57Speaker 2: by night. You guys know what it's Jason Turner, the
- 4:04Speaker 2: paper Phantom, played by Ethan Goldman. Give it up.
- 4:35Speaker 1: I'm a quanta. Go outside, Go up to the roof.
- 4:41Speaker 1: Is it raining yet?
- 4:43Speaker 2: Yes?
- 4:43Speaker 5: Let the rain hit my clothes, my skin. You can
- 4:47Speaker 5: feel the lightning and the atmosphere, can feel the currents
- 4:51Speaker 5: going up and down, can see where it's going to strike,
- 4:54Speaker 5: can feel where it's going to strike. And I know
- 4:56Speaker 5: who I need to strike.
- 5:12Speaker 2: I don't know, But what if what if somebody needs help?
- 5:14Speaker 5: What if I pass by and then somebody's like getting
- 5:17Speaker 5: mugged in an alleyway.
- 5:18Speaker 1: I mean that guy could be getting killed right now
- 5:20Speaker 1: and I just I just left.
- 5:22Speaker 2: So if that happened tonight, it probably means it's happening
- 5:26Speaker 2: every night, all over the place in this city.
- 5:30Speaker 4: And you can't take on.
- 5:31Speaker 2: All that.
- 5:34Speaker 1: Somebody has, tom.
- 5:47Speaker 5: And I would love to reach out as a strike
- 5:51Speaker 5: is coming to become lightning.
- 5:54Speaker 6: When I travel, as a bolt of lightning strikes right
- 5:58Speaker 6: by your face, you don't flinch.
- 6:02Speaker 2: Instead, you reach out your hand.
- 6:06Speaker 6: If the absorption within you could absorb enough, could it
- 6:11Speaker 6: change you?
- 6:13Speaker 2: And as you reach out your body instead.
- 6:22Speaker 6: Of breaking to the lightning's rage ascends and you become plasma.
- 6:30Speaker 1: I hop around. Can I control it?
- 6:33Speaker 5: I control where the lightning's going and strike from lightning
- 6:38Speaker 5: rod to lightning rod. And I want to like travel
- 6:41Speaker 5: like the whole circumference of the city.
- 6:43Speaker 7: That way.
- 6:58Speaker 2: You can see all of your feelings. It's the master
- 7:01Speaker 2: of the sky. Give it up for Huanta, who is
- 7:05Speaker 2: played by Stephanie Beckler and too long. Sorry, All right,
- 7:27Speaker 2: here we are.
- 7:32Speaker 4: You can call me Rachel. I'm a hero and you
- 7:42Speaker 4: are a trouble sir.
- 7:51Speaker 3: I run at a wall, I kick off wall, jump
- 7:55Speaker 3: off as hard as I can, and then create a
- 7:58Speaker 3: flight star and fly back the opposite direction. I was
- 8:01Speaker 3: running totally pointless, but a crazy fuck.
- 8:14Speaker 2: Wow.
- 8:24Speaker 4: I wish I was strong enough to defend this city
- 8:29Speaker 4: from those who would harm the innocence within her.
- 8:37Speaker 3: Okay, okay, I wish I wish to soar across this
- 8:42Speaker 3: city to find those in need.
- 8:49Speaker 2: Good, good, good, One more, one more.
- 8:52Speaker 4: I wish I wish I could use magic to change
- 8:59Speaker 4: this one are good.
- 9:10Speaker 2: You can Toby Rachel, the boy who wished on a star.
- 9:15Speaker 2: It is becoming the hero of the streams. Give it
- 9:19Speaker 2: up for Jamir Jennings who plays Rigel, who is played by.
- 9:24Speaker 8: Bad Awesome, and that's Johnny Wilson.
- 9:43Speaker 9: They cheered for me at the beginning. Matt made them
- 9:46Speaker 9: cheer so loud for me. Okay, now that we are
- 9:51Speaker 9: all out here, we are going to play some team.
- 9:54Speaker 2: Up for you. Now you want to understand all the
- 9:59Speaker 2: w and that's okay. It's a brand new game, but
- 10:04Speaker 2: we're gonna have fun. We are going to play in
- 10:06Speaker 2: an alternate timeline of the New Babble, So forget everything
- 10:11Speaker 2: you know about the current the current city that you've
- 10:15Speaker 2: been learning about. So this isn't canon.
- 10:19Speaker 9: If you're listening to this later, this isn't in the cannon,
- 10:22Speaker 9: don't freak out freaking out.
- 10:26Speaker 2: What if it's awesome?
- 10:28Speaker 9: Yeah, what if it's so cool? It is gonna be
- 10:30Speaker 9: awesome alternate timeline Like we do. In this timeline, our
- 10:38Speaker 9: heroes have trained up for other heroes to protect the city,
- 10:43Speaker 9: and they have been called to space on an important mission. Yeah, however, sorry,
- 10:50Speaker 9: you're not gonna be in space. There's so much paper
- 10:54Speaker 9: in space. Probably, how about a threat too great for
- 11:01Speaker 9: the heroes they left behind has come to the city,
- 11:05Speaker 9: so our heroes must return to defend their home. It's
- 11:08Speaker 9: not over selling it to say the fate of the
- 11:11Speaker 9: entire universe is at stake. Before we get into the
- 11:15Speaker 9: bad threat.
- 11:17Speaker 2: Other heroes were the first line of defense for the
- 11:21Speaker 2: current threat, and they have all fallen. If you got
- 11:24Speaker 2: a power card out there and a dice, that's you.
- 11:32Speaker 2: You did your absolute best to defend the city, but
- 11:35Speaker 2: the threat was too great and you have fallen.
- 11:38Speaker 9: But here's the cool thing. In Team Up, there's this
- 11:40Speaker 9: cool rule that when you're at zero HP, instead of
- 11:44Speaker 9: making death saving throws like in Dungeons and Dragons, you
- 11:46Speaker 9: get to make get up checks so you can try
- 11:49Speaker 9: to get back up and do one awesome last epic
- 11:54Speaker 9: hero moment. So, if that's you out there and you
- 11:58Speaker 9: have one of those cards, here are your instructions. If
- 12:02Speaker 9: there's an important moment that you want to apply your
- 12:05Speaker 9: power to, you can It can either be an empowered check.
- 12:09Speaker 9: So if I'm asking for a check and maybe they're
- 12:11Speaker 9: just not making it on their own, you can say
- 12:14Speaker 9: I want to help with that, but you have to
- 12:16Speaker 9: tell me how your power on your card actually helps
- 12:19Speaker 9: with that task. It can also be for an attack,
- 12:23Speaker 9: like if they're doing an attack and it's not quite
- 12:25Speaker 9: big enough, you can say, I want to help with that,
- 12:28Speaker 9: but you again have to tell me how your specific
- 12:31Speaker 9: power would help with their attack.
- 12:33Speaker 2: Does that make sense?
- 12:34Speaker 9: Those of you with your power cards out there, you
- 12:37Speaker 9: also have really fun hero names that you can yell
- 12:41Speaker 9: out when it's your turn, but save it for the
- 12:44Speaker 9: right moment because you only get to do it once
- 12:47Speaker 9: for the night.
- 12:48Speaker 2: All right, let's set the scene here we go.
- 12:51Speaker 9: Many know the story of the mad Titan Thanos. He
- 12:58Speaker 9: sought the six Infinities tones with which he stabbed his
- 13:03Speaker 9: fingers and erased half of all the life in the universe.
- 13:07Speaker 2: You guys know about this. Yeah, I'm from the famous
- 13:10Speaker 2: Marvel movies.
- 13:13Speaker 3: I've seen the YouTube shorts, watched all of the Infinity
- 13:17Speaker 3: War movie shorts, but very few remember the story of
- 13:27Speaker 3: the meathead Titan tanosans happened upon.
- 13:39Speaker 9: Three of the Infinity tones on the Jersey Shore or
- 13:51Speaker 9: musical note, No tones isn't.
- 13:53Speaker 10: Like toner like lotion, inn be toned. I've seen how
- 14:05Speaker 10: connect now.
- 14:08Speaker 9: It was either going with Infinity scarves or Infinity Tones.
- 14:17Speaker 9: He now seeks the other three. With all six Infinity tones,
- 14:21Speaker 9: he could snap his fingers and half the population of
- 14:25Speaker 9: the Earth would become tanned Jersey shore buff dudes just
- 14:29Speaker 9: like him. So, like I said, the Stakes of the Universe,
- 14:37Speaker 9: it's bad, guys. The other three tones have been kept
- 14:41Speaker 9: in a secure facility on the outskirts of the city
- 14:44Speaker 9: of New Babbel.
- 14:46Speaker 2: And he has come for them. After defeating the city's
- 14:49Speaker 2: current heroes. He is now on the facility's door, smashing
- 14:54Speaker 2: on it, trying to knock it down.
- 14:57Speaker 9: The three of you are beamed down from space right
- 15:01Speaker 9: in between Tannos and the facility.
- 15:05Speaker 2: It is your job to stop him and save the world.
- 15:10Speaker 9: Any questions problems with beaming us down we get after
- 15:18Speaker 9: the tapping.
- 15:20Speaker 2: No, no, you'll look good? Yeah good?
- 15:25Speaker 9: What do each of you look like as you get
- 15:28Speaker 9: beamed down? This is five years or maybe more than
- 15:32Speaker 9: five years.
- 15:33Speaker 2: It's future you what what do we rock? And what
- 15:35Speaker 2: is space? Paper? Phantom, space Quanta and space ride to
- 15:40Speaker 2: look like?
- 15:41Speaker 4: Sure?
- 15:42Speaker 11: So still still big paper cloak, long, ridiculously long cloak
- 15:47Speaker 11: and cape that fills the entire frame. But I'll say
- 15:52Speaker 11: paper spikes now, I think just like a little apocalyptic
- 15:56Speaker 11: like like klingon spikes kind of stuff from being out
- 16:00Speaker 11: in space. And I'll also say paper mustache.
- 16:06Speaker 2: Perfect.
- 16:07Speaker 3: Yeah, everyone loves it, right, guys.
- 16:13Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yes.
- 16:17Speaker 5: Quanta is a robotic race that Johnny made up for
- 16:19Speaker 5: New Babble.
- 16:20Speaker 1: So she is a day person.
- 16:23Speaker 5: I think, like kind of eye robot looking robot, but
- 16:28Speaker 5: has unique facial features from other robots. Her robot skin
- 16:33Speaker 5: is an opalescent white, but you don't see it because
- 16:37Speaker 5: she's been being down from space and she's covered head
- 16:39Speaker 5: to toe in a suit that's like micro lights.
- 16:43Speaker 1: So she can control it.
- 16:44Speaker 5: So it's just like rainbowing down her entire body to
- 16:49Speaker 5: her fingertips and toes.
- 16:51Speaker 2: You like those icicles they put on houses Christmas.
- 16:54Speaker 8: Time, But my whole body neon pulsation, yes, and.
- 16:58Speaker 5: Then I can control what the lights do with my
- 17:01Speaker 5: electricity powers.
- 17:02Speaker 3: Do advertisements for local business?
- 17:04Speaker 1: Yea are high, it says Grimace king on my back.
- 17:11Speaker 3: And finally you see Rigel still rocking the black and
- 17:15Speaker 3: dusty blue. A lot more ribbing on the suit, more
- 17:18Speaker 3: padding to show that the suit designers are running out
- 17:21Speaker 3: of ideas, and then I also think he'll have a
- 17:27Speaker 3: one streak of unexplained gray hair going through, and I
- 17:33Speaker 3: look a little saggy, bagged eyes, tired of being with
- 17:36Speaker 3: Jason in space for so long we had bunk beds.
- 17:41Speaker 2: I did not sleep.
- 17:43Speaker 9: Tannos is a monstrous eight foot tall. The tones have
- 17:48Speaker 9: greatly changed his physiology and given him the strength and
- 17:51Speaker 9: endurance of a titan. He wears a long, colorful board
- 17:56Speaker 9: shorts o board pants.
- 18:01Speaker 2: They're practically capris.
- 18:04Speaker 9: A pink polo shirt with a popped collar, and huge
- 18:08Speaker 9: aviator sunglasses. On his right hand is the Infinity glove.
- 18:15Speaker 9: It is golden leather, and clinging to it are three
- 18:18Speaker 9: blotches of tanning liquid that grow brightly in different colors.
- 18:23Speaker 2: They are amorphous and moving.
- 18:25Speaker 9: One is blue, so he has the space toney. Eventually,
- 18:32Speaker 9: one is red so he has the reality tone, and
- 18:35Speaker 9: the last one is purple so he has the power tone.
- 18:39Speaker 9: For those of you keeping track at home, he doesn't
- 18:41Speaker 9: have the time tone, the soul tone, and the mind tone.
- 18:48Speaker 2: He looks at the three of you, looks down upon
- 18:50Speaker 2: you more you God, damn it. Relax.
- 18:55Speaker 9: Just give me the Infinity tones and I'll get out
- 18:58Speaker 9: of here.
- 19:00Speaker 3: It seems reasonable, right, guys, Those tones aren't made for
- 19:03Speaker 3: one bro to handle. I'm the only bro that could
- 19:09Speaker 3: handle it. Tannos, you need to go home. You're way
- 19:12Speaker 3: too far west. Please come now. No, have you thought
- 19:19Speaker 3: about attacking New York? The tones aren't in New York.
- 19:24Speaker 2: They're here.
- 19:24Speaker 9: I want more people to hang out with, people that
- 19:27Speaker 9: won't judge me for being me.
- 19:29Speaker 2: You heard there are.
- 19:31Speaker 3: Other ways we can rehab your personality traits and socialization skills.
- 19:36Speaker 1: Yeah, I can help with that.
- 19:37Speaker 2: There's time. You don't have to do this. He looks
- 19:41Speaker 2: down at you, sneering. I am inevitable day.
- 19:47Speaker 9: The whole world wants to be more like me, and
- 19:50Speaker 9: they're working hard at it to become exactly like me.
- 19:53Speaker 9: But with all six tones, I could do it with
- 19:56Speaker 9: a snap of my fingers.
- 19:58Speaker 2: I call that murder. See, we call that deeply illegal, sir.
- 20:04Speaker 2: All right, we're gonna start combat.
- 20:10Speaker 9: So normally in team up to start combat, you roll
- 20:13Speaker 9: for order the order of the turns that going. We
- 20:15Speaker 9: already did that so you didn't have to sit here
- 20:17Speaker 9: watching me do.
- 20:19Speaker 2: Uh my math and writing.
- 20:23Speaker 9: Tannos gets the first ten for the first turn. He
- 20:28Speaker 9: looks at you, all ah, fuck this. He clenches his glove,
- 20:33Speaker 9: the red tone on his fist glows, and the entire
- 20:37Speaker 9: facility is disintegrated around you by use of the reality
- 20:42Speaker 9: stone tone tone.
- 20:49Speaker 2: Marvel, if you're listening, I'm so sorry. That was one
- 20:52Speaker 2: slip up. We get one. We get one.
- 20:55Speaker 9: The facility turns to dust and floats around you, and
- 20:58Speaker 9: you see all that remains is the three tones.
- 21:03Speaker 2: Orange, yellow, and green.
- 21:05Speaker 9: They hang in the air twenty ls away from you,
- 21:10Speaker 9: their containments being dissolved.
- 21:12Speaker 2: Ls.
- 21:13Speaker 9: By the way, is the amount of distance that we
- 21:16Speaker 9: use in Team Up. It's about twenty foot cube.
- 21:18Speaker 3: Situation tennos, you'll have to rebuild that structure. Please think
- 21:24Speaker 3: of the facility workers that have no facility to work it.
- 21:28Speaker 9: Soon they will be They're just like me, and their
- 21:31Speaker 9: lives will be perfect. Yes, And he starts walking towards
- 21:37Speaker 9: the stones, so his turn is just a movement.
- 21:40Speaker 2: So he's moving. Well, he gets the two turns.
- 21:43Speaker 9: He's a super villain, and Team Up super villains get
- 21:45Speaker 9: two turns, two turns, two tones, two turns, two tones,
- 21:49Speaker 9: two turns, three tones. He starts walking, so he dissolves
- 21:53Speaker 9: the thing with the reality tone and he starts walking.
- 21:56Speaker 2: Those are his two urns. Quanta, you're up, excellent, and.
- 22:01Speaker 5: Tantos, you just ruined a really awesome trip to space.
- 22:05Speaker 5: Besides these two being at each other's throats. So let's
- 22:08Speaker 5: make this quick. I would love to travel, become lightning
- 22:13Speaker 5: and to be in between him and the tones.
- 22:16Speaker 9: Okay, so you're taking a movement as well, Yes, please,
- 22:20Speaker 9: just moving you riger you're up?
- 22:24Speaker 3: Okay, Rigel growing wiser and older, brushes the gray hair streak,
- 22:30Speaker 3: and I'm gonna use my captain utility action to get
- 22:35Speaker 3: Quanta to zap him.
- 22:37Speaker 2: Say, Quanta, give him the business.
- 22:41Speaker 1: With pleasure.
- 22:43Speaker 5: A lightning whip snakes out of my hand.
- 22:46Speaker 1: I crack it in the air for flair and strike
- 22:49Speaker 1: at him with it.
- 22:51Speaker 2: Awesome. When roll your damage, you.
- 22:54Speaker 5: Level five Nolly's four four damage great.
- 23:03Speaker 9: In Team Up, you always get to roll resilience against
- 23:05Speaker 9: damage that comes in. This is just like your natural toughness.
- 23:09Speaker 9: And he gets a D twelve on his resilience.
- 23:12Speaker 2: Oh his skin is so leathery.
- 23:14Speaker 9: Yeah it's yeah, it's been in the booths so much chicken.
- 23:21Speaker 2: But less succulate and tasty.
- 23:23Speaker 11: Yeah, dried out one that's been sitting for too long
- 23:25Speaker 11: under a heat change.
- 23:26Speaker 2: Those chickens out costco.
- 23:30Speaker 9: I got six that's halved to three, so he takes
- 23:33Speaker 9: one damage from quantus whip cracking out awesome paper phantom.
- 23:40Speaker 2: You're up.
- 23:42Speaker 11: I create a cloud of confetti to obscure myself.
- 23:53Speaker 2: That's it.
- 23:56Speaker 9: So you're using a utility action to hide?
- 24:00Speaker 2: I got it. Goheen roll your sneak dye. Oh yeah,
- 24:05Speaker 2: we empower girl eighteen eighteen.
- 24:15Speaker 9: So the way rolls work in team up, just so
- 24:17Speaker 9: you know, so you're not totally lost.
- 24:22Speaker 2: And then I'm going.
- 24:25Speaker 9: I'll ask for like a skill check like I just did.
- 24:27Speaker 9: So sneak is a skill if he wants to. He
- 24:30Speaker 9: gets to add his powers to it if he wants
- 24:33Speaker 9: to slash if he can. Some powers don't make sense
- 24:36Speaker 9: for the task, of course, but he added your my
- 24:40Speaker 9: big old paper cloak. Yes, d yes. So he added
- 24:45Speaker 9: that die to the sneak check and got at eighteen,
- 24:47Speaker 9: which is huge. He has to beat my sense check.
- 24:52Speaker 9: Tannos is not the sensiest. He only has a D
- 24:57Speaker 9: eight for this, but he can use the Reality Stone
- 25:01Speaker 9: to try to help him, or the Space Stone probably
- 25:04Speaker 9: to try to help What did I say. He said, okay,
- 25:09Speaker 9: so he's gonna scarf.
- 25:12Speaker 2: He's gonna add his infinity scarf to this throw. I
- 25:17Speaker 2: only got eleven. Yeah, so the paper phantom is well hidden.
- 25:22Speaker 2: And that's the end of one phase. Yeah. Phase one
- 25:25Speaker 2: is over. So we did it, acquanta, How far did
- 25:31Speaker 2: you move by the way?
- 25:32Speaker 1: Seven?
- 25:34Speaker 2: Seven? Oh you got right in his hel then yes,
- 25:37Speaker 2: or you could go past him actually, because he's not fast.
- 25:39Speaker 1: That would beat in between him and the tone.
- 25:42Speaker 9: Yes, yes, yes, uh back up to Tano's turn. He
- 25:46Speaker 9: rolls his eyes, lifts up the Infinity glove, squeezes his
- 25:53Speaker 9: hand tight. The blue tone shimmers brightly, and you see
- 25:59Speaker 9: a port open in the sky, a blue portal swirling
- 26:03Speaker 9: and pouring out of it come citizens of New Babbles.
- 26:10Speaker 9: It's one hundred feet up and they are falling to
- 26:12Speaker 9: their dooms. Not Dairy that one. There's a citizen. So
- 26:27Speaker 9: that's his first action. That's a utility action. And then
- 26:30Speaker 9: he's also going to take another movement action to try
- 26:34Speaker 9: to get closer to them.
- 26:35Speaker 2: Tones. Oh no, okay, quanty, you're up all right.
- 26:42Speaker 1: I will.
- 26:47Speaker 5: Reach out with control electricity, and I would like to
- 26:50Speaker 5: attempt to control the electricity and as many falling bodies
- 26:54Speaker 5: as I can wow to slow their fall, yeah, hole,
- 26:59Speaker 5: if they're atoms, yes, to make them fall slower.
- 27:03Speaker 9: Awesome, quantest ability to control electricity. Everyone's got electricity inside them.
- 27:08Speaker 9: She's going to try to slow them down as they fall.
- 27:11Speaker 2: It's science, guys.
- 27:13Speaker 1: If you believe it's super science.
- 27:15Speaker 2: Don't come at me for the science of it. It's
- 27:19Speaker 2: very precise, awesome.
- 27:21Speaker 9: So this is going to be again another utility check,
- 27:25Speaker 9: excuse me, another empowered checks for using your control electricity,
- 27:29Speaker 9: and then I'm going to give you street smarts to
- 27:33Speaker 9: try to stop everybody. So street smarts plus control electricity.
- 27:37Speaker 1: The D eight and a D six for me.
- 27:39Speaker 2: Nice. Okay, this is an epic check, so I'm rolling
- 27:42Speaker 2: a D twenty. Don't do that.
- 27:45Speaker 5: Sorry, I might need help from a hero.
- 27:49Speaker 2: That's true. We'll see eight. I rolled eighteen, so you're
- 27:57Speaker 2: ten off. That's a lot.
- 27:59Speaker 1: That's a lot in this game.
- 28:01Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't know if I could help with the atoms.
- 28:08Speaker 2: Move me too fast? Okay? Sorry, Gary, Gary and the
- 28:14Speaker 2: rest the people keep falling. I think even though you
- 28:18Speaker 2: rolled what you were all ten lower. Yeah, No, you
- 28:20Speaker 2: don't save anybody. Sorry, they're all falling still, but they're
- 28:24Speaker 2: still falling. There's still in the end, there's two heroes left.
- 28:27Speaker 5: The mask on my face turns into a surprised emoji.
- 28:34Speaker 3: Rise your turn, okay. Rachel sees these falling people. A
- 28:38Speaker 3: single tear descends down his cheek. He grips his fists,
- 28:43Speaker 3: and I'm gonna try to send out a meteor shower
- 28:46Speaker 3: of flight stars to catch as many falling bodies as possible.
- 28:53Speaker 2: Awesome, as big, and as numerous as I can. Great, Okay,
- 28:57Speaker 2: so you're gonna do street smarts as well, a flight star.
- 29:02Speaker 2: Add your flight star. Come on numbers, that's the fourteen.
- 29:06Speaker 9: Nice, it's a big number. This is an epic check.
- 29:09Speaker 9: So it's just a D twenty again the four saving
- 29:16Speaker 9: lives saving lines. Out here, all the people smack onto
- 29:20Speaker 9: these flight stars.
- 29:21Speaker 2: What happens?
- 29:22Speaker 3: Yeah, they slowly descended that the stars will fizzle as
- 29:26Speaker 3: they each.
- 29:27Speaker 2: Read reached the ground.
- 29:28Speaker 3: My mind is stretched and my body taxed as I
- 29:31Speaker 3: control these stars.
- 29:33Speaker 2: Hey, per phantom, your turn? All right?
- 29:37Speaker 11: Hidden in my cloud of confetti, every every filing cabinet,
- 29:42Speaker 11: every folder, every every employee ID badge, I summoned to me.
- 29:47Speaker 11: I charge my paper smart we'll spend an energy to
- 29:52Speaker 11: charge it up.
- 29:52Speaker 2: Charge it up. Awesome. We're back to the top.
- 29:56Speaker 9: This is Phase three, round one, and we are back
- 30:00Speaker 9: to Tannus's two turns. He smiles as you save these people,
- 30:06Speaker 9: and he says something very villainous, like your love for
- 30:10Speaker 9: people as a weakness or something.
- 30:13Speaker 2: These could be bros, man, have you no honor?
- 30:18Speaker 9: He's going to use an energy to move again, getting
- 30:23Speaker 9: closer and closer to the.
- 30:25Speaker 2: Last three infinity tones. He gets those tones, we're in trouble.
- 30:29Speaker 9: And he's also going to turn around to Quanta as
- 30:33Speaker 9: he's walking away for his other turn, and he's going
- 30:35Speaker 9: to clench his fist and the purple tone gets lit
- 30:40Speaker 9: up and he's gonna blash you with the energy blast
- 30:44Speaker 9: three on his damage plus three six damage coming to you.
- 30:47Speaker 2: Quanta.
- 30:48Speaker 1: All right, I'm going to.
- 30:51Speaker 5: Resile with six old to three just two yep, So
- 30:56Speaker 5: I take four.
- 30:57Speaker 2: Four damage to you Quanta for breakfast store. Now it's
- 31:05Speaker 2: your turn, Quanta.
- 31:06Speaker 1: Ooh my surprise.
- 31:09Speaker 5: Emoji turns into a few emoji once the people are saved,
- 31:12Speaker 5: and then the mouth moves and says wait to go, Ragel, and.
- 31:15Speaker 1: Then it turns into an angry emoji.
- 31:18Speaker 5: And now I believe looking at those dice over there,
- 31:21Speaker 5: he is more than three yells away from me.
- 31:23Speaker 2: Yeah he is.
- 31:24Speaker 1: Now I will attack him with precision.
- 31:26Speaker 2: Nice.
- 31:27Speaker 9: When you attack with precision and team up, you roll both,
- 31:30Speaker 9: you roll dice twice and you take the higher of
- 31:32Speaker 9: the two.
- 31:33Speaker 5: Yes, So I will whip the lightning around my head,
- 31:37Speaker 5: reach out for him, and I would also like to
- 31:38Speaker 5: add a power attribute to try to pull him back,
- 31:42Speaker 5: wrapping around lasts to him like a bowl, pull him.
- 31:45Speaker 2: Back to me.
- 31:46Speaker 9: Great, So if she does enough damage on this, then
- 31:48Speaker 9: he gets pulled back. Come on, come on, eight eight damage,
- 31:56Speaker 9: he's gonna roll his resilience. He got six which is three,
- 32:02Speaker 9: which is five damage?
- 32:04Speaker 2: Is that enough?
- 32:05Speaker 1: Yes?
- 32:05Speaker 2: Awesome? How much do you pull him back? Nice?
- 32:11Speaker 1: Get back here? You ten guy?
- 32:17Speaker 2: That hurd my feelings.
- 32:19Speaker 1: I can see that.
- 32:21Speaker 2: Riger you're up fase. Gee.
- 32:24Speaker 3: How far away is he from me? How far do
- 32:26Speaker 3: I got to get to clear this distance?
- 32:28Speaker 5: Uh?
- 32:28Speaker 2: It's really far. You haven't moved yet, right, moved yet?
- 32:31Speaker 2: So he's one, two, three, four, seven, eight, nine l's
- 32:35Speaker 2: away from Okay, we'll start working on that.
- 32:36Speaker 3: So Richel will run forward, do a forward back handspring.
- 32:41Speaker 3: He's been you know, he's older, he's grown, and I'll
- 32:43Speaker 3: land on a flight star and I'll scoot forward four.
- 32:47Speaker 2: L's nice your movement paper phantom.
- 32:52Speaker 11: All right, I got a big old charged paper blast
- 32:55Speaker 11: um all of the paper that was in this facility,
- 32:59Speaker 11: plus my cloak, I'm just gonna shoot a giant paper
- 33:02Speaker 11: sword right at his dick.
- 33:05Speaker 2: Nice. How what's your rangel really up in my old day?
- 33:13Speaker 2: My mustache is adding points to me. Hey, go ahead,
- 33:18Speaker 2: this is with precision as well. Okay, all right, and
- 33:23Speaker 2: then I get to do it again because I got
- 33:24Speaker 2: the cloak on there.
- 33:25Speaker 11: Okay, and plus it is fifteen.
- 33:31Speaker 9: Fifteen damage damage paper cuts fifteen damage of paper damage.
- 33:38Speaker 3: Yeah, right to the right, because I was hitting those
- 33:42Speaker 3: bullet shorts offered little protection.
- 33:47Speaker 9: He got seven on his resilience, which turns in a four,
- 33:49Speaker 9: so he takes eleven damage. Nice, don't call me then.
- 34:03Speaker 9: So that's the end of an entire round. To team up,
- 34:05Speaker 9: we'll go back up to the top. Everything resets, all
- 34:09Speaker 9: your actions come back, and we are at Tanno's and
- 34:12Speaker 9: he's like, I tire of you, and he is going
- 34:17Speaker 9: to teleport using the space tone, which.
- 34:23Speaker 2: Is a movement.
- 34:25Speaker 9: He can move thirteen l's with the space tone. He
- 34:32Speaker 9: disappears and he pops up right next to the other
- 34:36Speaker 9: three tones.
- 34:40Speaker 2: And he's reaching for them. He would that's his turn, Quanti,
- 34:48Speaker 2: you're up.
- 34:49Speaker 1: I would like to do a utility okay. I would
- 34:52Speaker 1: like to affect the.
- 34:54Speaker 5: Atoms around the tones that he has yet to reach
- 35:00Speaker 5: and bring them to me.
- 35:03Speaker 2: Every atom has electricity.
- 35:05Speaker 9: Science science, yeah, yeah, yeah, totally. Do not come at
- 35:12Speaker 9: as about the science science sound.
- 35:15Speaker 5: One of my favorite things about the superhero genre is
- 35:17Speaker 5: all the science bullshit.
- 35:19Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 35:20Speaker 9: I also think the tones themselves give off a bit
- 35:23Speaker 9: of electricity. So you're trying to pull off all three
- 35:27Speaker 9: out from under him, Yes, okay, that's gonna be a
- 35:30Speaker 9: hard check that these are powerful entities.
- 35:34Speaker 2: This is going to all.
- 35:35Speaker 1: They are entities.
- 35:37Speaker 5: So I would also, I would, I would.
- 35:42Speaker 1: I would like deposit that I could use cokes.
- 35:44Speaker 2: She said, positive.
- 35:47Speaker 12: A hero.
- 35:48Speaker 5: We have I'm bleeding Blend, and I have phasing so
- 35:53Speaker 5: I can face solid objects and people through objects and people.
- 35:58Speaker 1: So I would like to help you with these stone Yes.
- 36:01Speaker 2: Nice, Uh so much science going on. Love it.
- 36:13Speaker 9: The fallen hero Bleed and Blend reaches up their hand
- 36:18Speaker 9: as they are crumpled in the dirt, and they're going
- 36:21Speaker 9: to help you with this check.
- 36:23Speaker 2: So go ahead and roll that die. You have.
- 36:27Speaker 13: Three extra three and then uh, I'll give you a
- 36:34Speaker 13: cox to coax the stones the tones.
- 36:38Speaker 8: Excuse me, I'm sorry.
- 36:42Speaker 2: It's my thing. I'm so sorry. It's this original. I
- 36:51Speaker 2: draw the tones to you with cox and control electricity.
- 36:56Speaker 9: Okay, this is a godly check. Three tones, So this
- 37:00Speaker 9: is a D twenty and a D four. Hey, don't go, mammy.
- 37:11Speaker 9: I rolled not great. I rolled a two and I
- 37:14Speaker 9: rolled an eight, So ten to get.
- 37:16Speaker 1: A seven on a D twenty and a D six,
- 37:19Speaker 1: you can do this.
- 37:23Speaker 2: I got an a.
- 37:33Speaker 9: The last act of Blend and what was your name?
- 37:37Speaker 9: Bleeding Blend because like phasing, Yeah, it makes sense to.
- 37:41Speaker 2: Both of you. Twin heroes, Yes, the twin heroes.
- 37:49Speaker 9: Bleeding Blend reach out Fantos, no, sorry, I'm struggling. Tannos
- 38:03Speaker 9: reaches out to try to grasp the stones quantumy tones.
- 38:16Speaker 9: He reaches out to grasp the tones because Quanta, you
- 38:20Speaker 9: do move them, you do have the power over them
- 38:23Speaker 9: to move them. But his golden fist gets in the way.
- 38:27Speaker 9: But Bleed and Blend make the tones face right through
- 38:31Speaker 9: his glove taking hero and they get all the way
- 38:35Speaker 9: over to Quanta. There now in your l with you.
- 38:40Speaker 1: I would love for them to hover around me like
- 38:43Speaker 1: tiny moons.
- 38:44Speaker 2: Yeah, they're tiny mooning, for sure.
- 38:51Speaker 9: Tiny mooning is very Just show your cracks, okay, just
- 38:56Speaker 9: like the very.
- 38:56Speaker 2: Top of your crack. It's tiny mooning. Try to try it.
- 39:05Speaker 3: You're turning great, Keep those tones in orbit Quanta. I'm
- 39:10Speaker 3: gonna keep trying to get up in the mix. So
- 39:12Speaker 3: I'll just keep flights driving forward as fast as I can.
- 39:15Speaker 9: Okay, movement action right, just streaks past Quanta.
- 39:20Speaker 2: Awesome.
- 39:21Speaker 3: Paper Phantom, your turn. I'm gonna do the same same thing.
- 39:25Speaker 3: I'm just gonna streak forward of paper. Yeah, I'm gonna yeah,
- 39:29Speaker 3: I mean take my pants off. My paper pants behind me.
- 39:37Speaker 1: Right up the street.
- 39:37Speaker 2: It was a tiny moon. Now it's a giant move
- 39:40Speaker 2: let's go.
- 39:41Speaker 3: I want to if I can. I've got ten l's
- 39:44Speaker 3: of movement. Wow, it was so big.
- 39:46Speaker 2: You have no idea.
- 39:46Speaker 11: It's ridiculous huge. I'd like to get in the same
- 39:49Speaker 11: l as ride if possible.
- 39:51Speaker 2: You can. You can get just there. How are you
- 39:53Speaker 2: moving so fast? Paper Phantom, I'm launching my paper pants
- 39:57Speaker 2: behind me, and I'll also make like a windsail. I
- 40:03Speaker 2: see that you're a bro. I hope you enjoy how
- 40:07Speaker 2: awesome this is. He's likelip. Honestly, dude, that's freaking awesome.
- 40:13Speaker 2: Maybe after this we could hang out in jail.
- 40:18Speaker 9: Hey, you'll be ten, probably I'll be ten. We'll be
- 40:21Speaker 9: ten together.
- 40:22Speaker 2: Yes, I cut you out of the dick. I didn't.
- 40:26Speaker 2: We could talk after.
- 40:28Speaker 9: It's Tanos's two turns tennis is two turns, two turned Tenos.
- 40:35Speaker 9: He's going to uh do the same movement with the
- 40:40Speaker 9: blue stone third blue tone.
- 40:43Speaker 2: Excuse me.
- 40:44Speaker 9: He's going to teleport right back into quantas l where
- 40:50Speaker 9: the tones are floating around you, and he is going
- 40:53Speaker 9: to with a second turn, try to grasp one of
- 40:57Speaker 9: the tones and add it to his glove.
- 41:01Speaker 2: He is going to go for the time tone. Is
- 41:06Speaker 2: that a utility action? It is?
- 41:08Speaker 3: I'm gonna use my reaction to use it to magic
- 41:13Speaker 3: blast his hand away from the tone.
- 41:17Speaker 13: Nice.
- 41:17Speaker 2: He reaches how to grab it.
- 41:19Speaker 9: A magic blast from Rigel comes and smashes it away.
- 41:22Speaker 9: But we gotta roll, so U roll a ready check
- 41:28Speaker 9: plus your magic blast.
- 41:31Speaker 2: Let's go.
- 41:35Speaker 9: That's a ten, ten. Nice, he's gonna roll. Let's what's
- 41:40Speaker 9: he gonna roll ready?
- 41:41Speaker 14: Right?
- 41:41Speaker 2: Ready versus ready.
- 41:42Speaker 9: Versus ready, He's gonna roll ready. Plus you added the power.
- 41:46Speaker 2: Yeah, I added my flights, my blast.
- 41:49Speaker 9: So he's gonna add speed. He only rolls two D
- 41:51Speaker 9: six is for this check.
- 41:53Speaker 2: That's hard to beat.
- 41:55Speaker 9: Five on my first one, four on my second one.
- 41:58Speaker 2: That's a nice. He reaches for the time.
- 42:01Speaker 9: Tone of magic Blast from Rigel knocks it away.
- 42:04Speaker 2: It's very cool, Quanta your tune.
- 42:07Speaker 5: Okay, easy there, tannos, easy boy, I don't.
- 42:16Speaker 2: I never take it easy.
- 42:18Speaker 1: I'm gonna try another pa control electricity.
- 42:21Speaker 5: With him close to me, I reach out and touch
- 42:25Speaker 5: him right on the pink polo on my pink.
- 42:31Speaker 1: And I say, I'm gonna need another one of those tones.
- 42:35Speaker 5: And I've looked to attack him with control electricity and
- 42:37Speaker 5: use a power attribute power block.
- 42:40Speaker 1: But if you'll let me flavor it as shutting down
- 42:42Speaker 1: one of the tones for.
- 42:43Speaker 2: Him, I'll say even greater.
- 42:45Speaker 9: If you beat him on this or get enough damage,
- 42:47Speaker 9: you can take one of the tones from him.
- 42:51Speaker 2: Take a tone.
- 42:52Speaker 5: I'm gonna take a tone. I am rolling with precision
- 42:57Speaker 5: because I'm close up.
- 42:58Speaker 3: Okay, seven seven seven.
- 43:05Speaker 2: He is going to defend on this one.
- 43:08Speaker 9: Okay, So in team up you can use a reaction
- 43:10Speaker 9: to defend, staving off incoming damage. This is a really
- 43:13Speaker 9: really important check because if if.
- 43:17Speaker 1: I do three damage, if.
- 43:18Speaker 9: You do free damage, you can take a tone, which
- 43:20Speaker 9: means Quantu would have four tones.
- 43:22Speaker 2: A hero who can help burn No.
- 43:33Speaker 15: I am the green cranium. My power is mind control useful. Yes,
- 43:43Speaker 15: so he's uh, so what's happening?
- 43:46Speaker 9: I'm sorry, that's okay, It's confusing as hell. He is
- 43:51Speaker 9: just standing there with these tones. Quanta is just trying
- 43:54Speaker 9: to do enough damage to take one from him. So
- 43:56Speaker 9: how do you help do damage in this moment?
- 43:58Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 44:00Speaker 14: Him?
- 44:01Speaker 2: Yeah, distract him by uh.
- 44:03Speaker 15: He starts to see in his periphery a lot of
- 44:08Speaker 15: other beefy yes.
- 44:13Speaker 1: That he receives us threatening to him.
- 44:17Speaker 2: His outfit. They may or may not be there, but
- 44:22Speaker 2: he feels that they are. Yeah, who are you? Why
- 44:25Speaker 2: don't I know you? Guys?
- 44:26Speaker 9: He freaks out and is distracted for Quantas attack. So
- 44:30Speaker 9: you get to add your diet to Quanta's attack.
- 44:33Speaker 2: Uh.
- 44:33Speaker 9: He is going to defend all this with the space
- 44:38Speaker 9: tone by putting up a portal in front of him
- 44:40Speaker 9: to try to block in coming damage. But this is
- 44:42Speaker 9: a weird attack. It's it's it's not necessarily a physical attack.
- 44:46Speaker 2: So this is fun. Go ahead, roll you guys. We
- 44:51Speaker 2: got we got seven over.
- 44:53Speaker 9: Here, seven plus seven fourteen. Any permanent bonus.
- 44:59Speaker 1: On there, yeah, I already added it.
- 45:01Speaker 9: On his defense, I rolled it too. But he also
- 45:05Speaker 9: gets to roll his Resilience, which is also a D ten.
- 45:08Speaker 9: I don't think there's a shot. He rolled a three,
- 45:10Speaker 9: which turns in a which turns in a two, so
- 45:12Speaker 9: he doesn't do he doesn't do four damage, so ten
- 45:15Speaker 9: he takes ten damage.
- 45:21Speaker 2: Yeah, Quanta, one of these tones, the time tone also
- 45:28Speaker 2: and now is under your control. You have four tones orbiting.
- 45:32Speaker 2: You give me back my tones.
- 45:38Speaker 1: I'm the new tanos Now face look like his? Wait,
- 45:48Speaker 1: this is what you want? I make it look like me.
- 45:50Speaker 5: I love that.
- 45:50Speaker 2: I'm into that.
- 45:51Speaker 10: I like that.
- 45:55Speaker 2: You Roger.
- 45:56Speaker 3: While he's uh distracted and already defended, I'm just get
- 46:00Speaker 3: a punch him as hard as I can.
- 46:02Speaker 5: Here.
- 46:02Speaker 2: Wait, Rachel, we're next to each other in the turn order.
- 46:05Speaker 2: Let's team up.
- 46:06Speaker 4: I know.
- 46:08Speaker 2: The paper cloak unfurls around Jason's head. Hey, bo.
- 46:13Speaker 11: I know we had our differences sleep in that bunk
- 46:15Speaker 11: bed in space and I know my my night terrors
- 46:19Speaker 11: really kept you.
- 46:19Speaker 2: Up the day terrors as well.
- 46:23Speaker 3: But look, we both came together in that spaceship and
- 46:27Speaker 3: we do cool stuff with our hair. In the last
- 46:29Speaker 3: five years, your streak of gray mysteriously that showed up
- 46:34Speaker 3: my sweet sweet mustache.
- 46:38Speaker 2: Jason.
- 46:39Speaker 3: You know I love you. You just need to grow
- 46:40Speaker 3: as a roommate and personal hygiene.
- 46:44Speaker 11: My pants are paper and they're twenty l's behind us.
- 46:49Speaker 11: Let's cut this guy on the dick. I'll start, I'll
- 46:53Speaker 11: use paper to help help with this. We'll team up here.
- 46:57Speaker 9: So in team up, there's an actual mechanic called team
- 47:00Speaker 9: dash up where you can you can combine your powers
- 47:04Speaker 9: to make a devastating blow.
- 47:07Speaker 2: So how are you guys doing this?
- 47:10Speaker 3: Can his paper kind of form spiky claws around my
- 47:13Speaker 3: fist as I punch this boy?
- 47:15Speaker 2: Absolutely? But I have to be standing behind you like ghosts. Yes,
- 47:22Speaker 2: it's beautiful. It's beautiful.
- 47:25Speaker 9: I knew it is inevitable, all right, So s So
- 47:37Speaker 9: you roll your paper.
- 47:38Speaker 2: Yeah, I'll roll with precision my punch. Huh, that's a
- 47:45Speaker 2: ten for me.
- 47:46Speaker 3: Dog got a seven plus my permanent two. That's a
- 47:49Speaker 3: nine for me.
- 47:50Speaker 2: Dog dang nineteen damage. Okay, nineteen. I didn't expect it
- 47:55Speaker 2: to go this way. He's not looking grace. You guys
- 47:59Speaker 2: do so much damage. This game I made is insane.
- 48:04Speaker 2: So he's gonna have to use his second reaction to
- 48:07Speaker 2: defend second reaction. Yeah, he gets two phases.
- 48:11Speaker 9: He tracked, but this means he won't get any of
- 48:13Speaker 9: his turns in the last in the third phase, so
- 48:16Speaker 9: he's going to react again.
- 48:19Speaker 2: That's a six, So we're at thirteen. Ye on, I
- 48:24Speaker 2: rolled a one on his resilience, which becomes zero.
- 48:27Speaker 9: So you guys do thirteen damage.
- 48:33Speaker 2: Got you? Was that? Whose term was that?
- 48:41Speaker 5: Oh?
- 48:41Speaker 16: And you?
- 48:42Speaker 2: That's right?
- 48:42Speaker 9: And team up and when you do a team up,
- 48:44Speaker 9: they both use their turns. We're back at the top
- 48:47Speaker 9: of the round, which is the third phase. Tanos has
- 48:49Speaker 9: used both of his reactions, so he's out. He's standing
- 48:53Speaker 9: there tired, looking at you, shocked that you have overcome
- 48:58Speaker 9: his power. Only two tones left on his golden fist. Quanta,
- 49:03Speaker 9: you're up.
- 49:04Speaker 5: I would love to use the energy to do a
- 49:05Speaker 5: second utility action. Yeah, since I'm still standing close, my
- 49:09Speaker 5: hands still on his pink polo.
- 49:12Speaker 1: I love to move it up to his temple.
- 49:16Speaker 2: The pink polo, move my hand.
- 49:19Speaker 1: Under the pink polo, move my hand up to his.
- 49:27Speaker 5: Temple, and say, you're just You're just a guy. You
- 49:32Speaker 5: just want to go smash some mohitos and and then
- 49:36Speaker 5: maybe surf drunk.
- 49:38Speaker 1: Yeah, alter his mind.
- 49:43Speaker 2: That that sounds amazing.
- 49:47Speaker 1: What are you doing, I'm trying to alter his mind.
- 49:49Speaker 5: Okay, here's the electrical signals in there to make him
- 49:52Speaker 5: believe that he just wants to be somewhere else, He's
- 49:54Speaker 5: just a regular guy.
- 49:56Speaker 2: I'll make him full give up.
- 49:57Speaker 9: Okay, So based on this role, you might win a
- 50:03Speaker 9: phase or two here from Tannos while these days. Yeah,
- 50:07Speaker 9: so roll a knowledge check plus your control electricity.
- 50:11Speaker 2: What about costing? You did suggest he do a thing.
- 50:18Speaker 9: I'll let you do cloaks quoks coas, I'll let you
- 50:22Speaker 9: do cokes for sure, plus your control electricity. And he
- 50:26Speaker 9: is going to roll his knowledge against this with also
- 50:31Speaker 9: adding the reality tone.
- 50:33Speaker 2: To try to keep you away. Okay, so fair, his
- 50:42Speaker 2: knowledge is not super high goods. I only got eight, No,
- 50:51Speaker 2: I got seven.
- 51:00Speaker 3: Time and space shower of telekinesis yes. I wanted to
- 51:06Speaker 3: help move her hand through the big polo, wiping.
- 51:15Speaker 2: Away the faked hair keeper into your mind and convince
- 51:21Speaker 2: the coy Wow. Perfect.
- 51:23Speaker 9: The hand goes up into the brain where you have
- 51:26Speaker 9: more control.
- 51:27Speaker 2: I guess it's science. Science, science, tickle the brain.
- 51:34Speaker 9: Tan skin is brain tickled. Go ahead and rollo, man,
- 51:39Speaker 9: I got an eight?
- 51:44Speaker 2: So you beat me by how much? Science? Science? Why?
- 51:52Speaker 9: What?
- 51:53Speaker 16: Oh god?
- 51:54Speaker 2: Okay, I gotta hug you gets sorry? I heard that voice.
- 51:57Speaker 9: Okay, so you've been a by seven, which means you
- 52:01Speaker 9: win two phases of Tanno's doing nothing, which is great.
- 52:05Speaker 2: Let's get this boy down.
- 52:08Speaker 9: The downed hero time and Space raises his hand for
- 52:11Speaker 9: one final act.
- 52:13Speaker 2: Hopefully he might not die. We'll see, and you help
- 52:17Speaker 2: Tannos get distracted. Here a huge turn. We are at
- 52:22Speaker 2: Rigel's turn.
- 52:23Speaker 3: Rachel used his reaction earlier, so I'm done so for
- 52:26Speaker 3: this rend.
- 52:27Speaker 2: Okay, okay, paper phantom, I can still do something. I
- 52:33Speaker 2: feel like it's going pretty good. I'm just gonna slap
- 52:35Speaker 2: them with some paper.
- 52:37Speaker 12: Nice high forest fires can create and control fire to break.
- 52:48Speaker 1: Through that oily exterior paper slap on fire.
- 52:57Speaker 2: Oh great, I get to be on fire. Paper is
- 53:01Speaker 2: incredibly flammable. What are my weaknesses? The greasy hair, Yeah.
- 53:09Speaker 1: The careful phantom.
- 53:11Speaker 2: I'm doing this for us. I'll die.
- 53:18Speaker 9: Okay, go ahead and roll y'all's damage corn if you
- 53:21Speaker 9: would add your damage?
- 53:23Speaker 2: Six?
- 53:23Speaker 9: Okay, not great, he's phased, he's dazed. Eight he's only
- 53:31Speaker 9: gonna reseal.
- 53:34Speaker 2: It counts. I wrote a one on the table with
- 53:39Speaker 2: your hero all eight damage. The hero forest fire raises
- 53:44Speaker 2: her hand for one final blast of fire. Yeah, I
- 53:52Speaker 2: make a giant paper hand. It's flaming.
- 53:58Speaker 9: That is the end of that round. We're up to
- 54:01Speaker 9: the top of a new round. Everything comes back. Tannos
- 54:05Speaker 9: is looking hurt. His fake tan it reveals true pale skin.
- 54:11Speaker 2: Underneath his greased hair on fire from forest fires. Slap,
- 54:17Speaker 2: and he's angry. Are you even Italian?
- 54:19Speaker 1: Bro?
- 54:23Speaker 2: Hey? Hey, I stand correct. I think the question has
- 54:28Speaker 2: been asked an answer.
- 54:31Speaker 9: He is going to use both turns here to try
- 54:34Speaker 9: to take all of the tones back. Oh yeah, so
- 54:45Speaker 9: two phases are one from him from quantas and uh
- 54:50Speaker 9: and time and space is mind fuck nice So he
- 54:54Speaker 9: can't do ship turns out quanty your turns this boy?
- 55:00Speaker 2: Yes?
- 55:01Speaker 1: Should we do a three for team Oh.
- 55:05Speaker 3: Yeah, let's just kill this guy while he's on the bench.
- 55:11Speaker 9: I'll say this, he has fifteen hit points left. Oh yeah,
- 55:19Speaker 9: we're gonna do a triple team up.
- 55:21Speaker 2: Yeah, let's do it. I got it.
- 55:24Speaker 3: I got an idea, guys. Okay, y'all ever hear of
- 55:28Speaker 3: Benjamin Franklin. I am familiar. Yes, a famous French philanderer,
- 55:36Speaker 3: but he also once discovered lightning apocryphal. I can make
- 55:42Speaker 3: myself into a paper paper kite, and I've got a
- 55:49Speaker 3: house key.
- 55:50Speaker 2: Okay, Roger, you're strong. I'm strong.
- 55:54Speaker 3: I think Roger will take the paper tail of the kite.
- 55:57Speaker 3: I'll swinging strikes. I'll slay them the kite on Tantos' skull.
- 56:05Speaker 2: Awesome, Quanta, how are you adding to this?
- 56:07Speaker 5: I wait for the kite to hoop around a few times,
- 56:11Speaker 5: wait till the key is right above him, and.
- 56:16Speaker 2: Awesome.
- 56:17Speaker 9: This is a great team up. So I'll give you
- 56:18Speaker 9: plus two to it. Roll all your dice. He cannot
- 56:23Speaker 9: react and defend because he's dazed. He's only rolling his resilience,
- 56:27Speaker 9: which is a D twelve.
- 56:31Speaker 14: Okay, I got a nine, lock me, okay an eight?
- 56:43Speaker 2: Alright, what's that add up to? Eighteen? Plus you said two, so.
- 56:48Speaker 9: Twenty one on his resilience, I rolled it two, which
- 56:52Speaker 9: turns into thank Franklin, Thank you Ben Franklin for that
- 57:07Speaker 9: epic team.
- 57:09Speaker 2: By focal hero.
- 57:12Speaker 9: Okay, so Tanos is defeated, he falls in front of you.
- 57:16Speaker 9: You can take the rest of the tones from him. Yeah,
- 57:20Speaker 9: I'm a tightness. Wait what I have all six tones?
- 57:25Speaker 9: You have all six tones?
- 57:27Speaker 2: Anything? You could snap your fingers and.
- 57:29Speaker 1: I snapped my fingers and I makes a little bunny rabbit.
- 57:40Speaker 9: And that's where we'll give it up for.
- 57:49Speaker 2: The cost mula. When I was a young child, I
- 58:02Speaker 2: don't know, maybe eleven or twelve, I was at a
- 58:05Speaker 2: close friend's house. There were four of us there for
- 58:08Speaker 2: a sleepover weekend. It was a long time ago, but
- 58:12Speaker 2: I remember playing ping pong. I remember hating the taste
- 58:16Speaker 2: of the strawberry sparkling water my friend's mom bought instead
- 58:19Speaker 2: of soda. And I remember the fluff of the cattails
- 58:24Speaker 2: that surrounded the pond my friend lived on getting in
- 58:27Speaker 2: my mouth as we played. But I remember most what
- 58:32Speaker 2: we played, and it was magnificent. Over the course of
- 58:37Speaker 2: a couple of days, we worked hard to build a
- 58:39Speaker 2: world and tell a story. Four brothers were gifted four
- 58:43Speaker 2: staves by an ancient order of element controlling monks. You see,
- 58:48Speaker 2: the monks were dying out and they needed their work
- 58:50Speaker 2: to continue in the modern era, and so they imbued
- 58:53Speaker 2: their power into four walking sticks and gifted them to
- 58:56Speaker 2: fourth grade aged brothers. I don't remember if we were quadruplets,
- 59:01Speaker 2: but that's not important. What's important is that we were
- 59:04Speaker 2: brothers who were the same age. Each staff gave the
- 59:08Speaker 2: respective brother the power to control a different element. We
- 59:12Speaker 2: found bandanas that allowed us to represent the element we
- 59:16Speaker 2: could control. I was the fire brother, of course, and
- 59:19Speaker 2: didn't have to find a bandana because of my red hair.
- 59:22Speaker 2: The monks meant for us to grow into courageous and
- 59:25Speaker 2: great defenders of the world. So for a time, the
- 59:29Speaker 2: brothers grew and fought a variety of Saturday Morning cartoon
- 59:34Speaker 2: style villains of wickedness. But toward the end of our
- 59:38Speaker 2: weekend together, the true villain reared its wicked head. One
- 59:43Speaker 2: of our brothers had been twisted and corrupted by an
- 59:48Speaker 2: ancient order of monks who practiced dark and evil magics.
- 59:53Speaker 2: With this newfound power, the water controlling brother created blades
- 59:58Speaker 2: of deadly ice on his staff and attacked his brothers
- 1:00:03Speaker 2: betrayal drama. The first swing cut through the air toward
- 1:00:08Speaker 2: my neck. But then I said, you missed my evil ice.
- 1:00:15Speaker 2: Controlling brother said no, I didn't. So I said, well,
- 1:00:21Speaker 2: then I shoot so much fire at your ice that
- 1:00:23Speaker 2: it all melts. And he said no, I was too fast,
- 1:00:26Speaker 2: and I chopped your head off and I said no, no,
- 1:00:29Speaker 2: you weren't, No you didn't. He said, yes, I was.
- 1:00:33Speaker 2: This continued for some time until all four brothers who
- 1:00:36Speaker 2: were no longer brothers, devolved into real life wrestling and hitting,
- 1:00:42Speaker 2: until my friend's mom had to come out and separate us.
- 1:00:47Speaker 2: We never visited that world or those characters again. We
- 1:00:51Speaker 2: never got to know what happened to the brother who
- 1:00:53Speaker 2: was lost. We never got to find out if the
- 1:00:56Speaker 2: four element controlling brothers would grow into the heroes they
- 1:01:00Speaker 2: were meant to be. This is a story I'm sure
- 1:01:03Speaker 2: that you can all relate to on some level, whether
- 1:01:06Speaker 2: it be remembering your own childlike play or observing the
- 1:01:10Speaker 2: childlike play of children you're engaged with today, And there's
- 1:01:14Speaker 2: nothing wrong with that. Oftentimes, the power and the wonder
- 1:01:18Speaker 2: of childlike play and imagination gets abruptly interrupted by the
- 1:01:23Speaker 2: equally powerful selfishness and desire to control that children possess.
- 1:01:29Speaker 2: But as we grow, many of our qualities grow and
- 1:01:33Speaker 2: change with us. A lot of us, not all of us,
- 1:01:37Speaker 2: but a lot of us learn to become less selfish.
- 1:01:41Speaker 2: We learn better communication skills and what makes a good story.
- 1:01:45Speaker 2: But while those things grow, our encouragement to play and
- 1:01:49Speaker 2: to imagine basically disappears. It's not elevated or supported with
- 1:01:56Speaker 2: the rest of our growth. Oftentimes it's mocked if you
- 1:01:59Speaker 2: keep playing Make Believe as you grow. I believe that
- 1:02:03Speaker 2: I'm on this earth to remind adults how to play,
- 1:02:06Speaker 2: and not only that, but bring joy through an elevated,
- 1:02:10Speaker 2: an evolved type of childlike imaginative play. That's why I
- 1:02:16Speaker 2: built Team Up. Team Up is an engine for your
- 1:02:20Speaker 2: childlike Make Believe. It gives you the freedom and the
- 1:02:24Speaker 2: path to build those four element controlling brothers and send
- 1:02:29Speaker 2: them on adventures. But it also gives you the guidance
- 1:02:32Speaker 2: for what would happen if one of those brothers turned
- 1:02:35Speaker 2: evil and attacked another. That way, that moment doesn't devolve
- 1:02:39Speaker 2: into real life wrestling, but instead can be the beautiful
- 1:02:43Speaker 2: continuation of an imaginative and gripping story and I think,
- 1:02:50Speaker 2: at their best, that's what TTRPGs do. If you're not
- 1:02:54Speaker 2: familiar with that list of letters, TTRPG stands for tabletop
- 1:02:58Speaker 2: role Playing Games, and Dragons being by far the most
- 1:03:01Speaker 2: famous one, and others will tell you different that TTRPGs
- 1:03:06Speaker 2: have different goals than what I just stated, and that's fine.
- 1:03:09Speaker 2: People can think what they want and have the experience
- 1:03:12Speaker 2: that they want to have. But what I want is
- 1:03:16Speaker 2: to be able to imagine and play like when I
- 1:03:19Speaker 2: was a child. I want to play make believe again.
- 1:03:24Speaker 2: I want to do that with my creative friends, and
- 1:03:28Speaker 2: I want to do that with a system that rewards
- 1:03:30Speaker 2: my creativity and elevates my play to greater heights. And so,
- 1:03:34Speaker 2: if you please put your hands together for the reveal
- 1:03:37Speaker 2: of what we hope will become the quintessential superhero table top.
- 1:03:42Speaker 16: Role playing game, Team up, what.
