- 0:01Speaker 1: Nowor Presents the Mark Simone Show.
- 0:06Speaker 2: Hey, it's Friday. We got a lot to get to.
- 0:08Speaker 2: We'll go over the Mayor Old debate in just a second.
- 0:11Speaker 2: We'll get to President Trump meeting with Zelenski today in
- 0:15Speaker 2: the White House. Then also at the end of the day,
- 0:18Speaker 2: end of the afternoon, heading tomorrow Lago for the first time,
- 0:21Speaker 2: we'll get to John Bolton. By the way, this is
- 0:24Speaker 2: not lawfair. They keeps a lawfair going on. Lawfair is
- 0:27Speaker 2: when you get indicted in four cities at the same time. Bolton,
- 0:33Speaker 2: as Joe Paeshi would say in Casino, this guy was
- 0:36Speaker 2: begging to be made an example of. So we'll get
- 0:38Speaker 2: to him. Coming up, we'll get to Letitia James, even
- 0:42Speaker 2: more dirt coming out about her family. A lot of
- 0:45Speaker 2: stuff to get to. Last night's debate, Curtis won the debate.
- 0:52Speaker 2: Now here's the only problem. I don't know if anybody noticed.
- 0:55Speaker 2: That's the problem. Curtis was great, but there was no
- 0:59Speaker 2: clear moment knockout punch, incredible moment, nothing super viral. And
- 1:05Speaker 2: the other the real problem. This is a Channel four
- 1:08Speaker 2: WNBC TV and they did this last time. Very biased
- 1:12Speaker 2: when it comes to running debates. They should never be
- 1:14Speaker 2: allowed to do a debate. So the moderators were very
- 1:17Speaker 2: careful to keep any attention away from Curtis. They tried
- 1:21Speaker 2: to give Curtis as little time as possible. At one
- 1:24Speaker 2: point in the debate, he actually said to them, you
- 1:26Speaker 2: guys are trying to marginalize me. You're trying to keep
- 1:28Speaker 2: me out of this. Here's basically what happened, Mam donnie.
- 1:33Speaker 2: Who's a great debater, he was phenomenal in the primary debates.
- 1:37Speaker 2: He just wiped out Cuomo in this debate. He was good,
- 1:41Speaker 2: not as great as he was in the earlier debates
- 1:43Speaker 2: because he was being too careful. He had all his
- 1:46Speaker 2: slick salesman Mam donnie stuff going on, but he was
- 1:49Speaker 2: hedging and being a little more vague in his answers,
- 1:53Speaker 2: covering himself. So, but the good news for him is
- 1:56Speaker 2: Cuomo was just awful, as awful as he is when
- 2:01Speaker 2: he talks like this, and it was just too slow.
- 2:05Speaker 2: Curtis very You know, Curtis is the only professional debater
- 2:09Speaker 2: in the race. Curtis has done one hundred thousand debates.
- 2:13Speaker 2: He's been doing this professionally for thirty five years, Mom Donnie,
- 2:17Speaker 2: I don't know how it happened. But he's a very
- 2:19Speaker 2: very good debater. Cuomo a bumbling, stumbling, weak debater. And
- 2:25Speaker 2: he doesn't look right anymore. You know. It was a
- 2:28Speaker 2: good looking guy, but he's got that ozembic face now
- 2:31Speaker 2: and he got himself too skinny. I don't know why
- 2:33Speaker 2: he did that. He tries to project this tough guy.
- 2:37Speaker 2: You know, if you want to project a tough guy,
- 2:39Speaker 2: I means you got to have a little bulk to you.
- 2:40Speaker 2: You can't be a toothpick. It doesn't And the problem
- 2:43Speaker 2: is he projects weakness when he talks, and if you
- 2:47Speaker 2: look that skinny, it just enhances that whole weak look.
- 2:50Speaker 2: So he's got to put some It was a little
- 2:52Speaker 2: too late, but he should have kept some weight on
- 2:56Speaker 2: John pedorit's the great political analyst. Here's what he said
- 3:00Speaker 2: about Cuomo last night. And Pedoritz is a guy who
- 3:04Speaker 2: should be a Cuomo fan and a Democrat. But Podoritz
- 3:08Speaker 2: says about Cuomo, for a man who's running multiple elections
- 3:13Speaker 2: over the past twenty five years, Cuomo was shockingly inarticulate
- 3:17Speaker 2: and unable to sustain a single argument or a single answer.
- 3:22Speaker 2: There were moments when Cuomo sounded more like Luca Brazzi
- 3:26Speaker 2: stumbling through his thanks to Don Corleone for the wedding
- 3:29Speaker 2: invitation than he did like his own famously silver tongued father. Yeah,
- 3:35Speaker 2: that's a good point. Mario Cuomo was in his day
- 3:38Speaker 2: the greatest orator in American politics. He's with a phenomenal debater.
- 3:43Speaker 2: He was one of my debate coaches. We used to
- 3:45Speaker 2: when he was governor. He would come on once a
- 3:47Speaker 2: month and we'd come into the studio, we'd have a
- 3:49Speaker 2: one hour debate, and then afterwards he would stay and
- 3:53Speaker 2: he would give me a whole breakdown of everything I
- 3:56Speaker 2: did wrong. I mean, it was so helpful. He would
- 3:58Speaker 2: show me every year, dude, you did this. This the
- 4:01Speaker 2: best debate coach in the world. So if he did
- 4:05Speaker 2: that for me, I would imagine did that for Andrew
- 4:07Speaker 2: times a million. So I don't know what happened. It's
- 4:11Speaker 2: you know, it's the same thing with Hillary Clinton when
- 4:13Speaker 2: she's running at that time. Bill Clinton is the greatest
- 4:17Speaker 2: orator in American politics. She's married to the greatest political
- 4:20Speaker 2: speaker in the world, and she can't talk. She's horrible
- 4:23Speaker 2: in debate, she's horrible in speeches. Whatever it is, it
- 4:26Speaker 2: didn't rub off or I don't know, if you're too
- 4:28Speaker 2: close to the person, maybe you don't take the coaching
- 4:31Speaker 2: the way you should. So the next debate will be
- 4:35Speaker 2: Wednesday night next week Wednesday night. Now the problem with
- 4:38Speaker 2: that it's New York one, which nobody sees, and the
- 4:42Speaker 2: debate moderator, this is a horrible choice, should recuse himself.
- 4:46Speaker 2: It's Errol Lewis, who's the most partisan left wing guy
- 4:51Speaker 2: in the world. That's really inappropriate to have this guy
- 4:55Speaker 2: run a debate. It's absolutely ridiculous. So that's probably going
- 5:00Speaker 2: to go well for anybody with him doing it. But
- 5:03Speaker 2: here's some of last night's debate, and one of the
- 5:05Speaker 2: questions was experience.
- 5:06Speaker 3: In other words, what these hen Blingman said is he
- 5:08Speaker 3: has no experience.
- 5:10Speaker 4: What I don't have an experience, I make up for
- 5:11Speaker 4: an integrity, And what you don't have an integrity, you
- 5:13Speaker 4: could never make up for an experience.
- 5:15Speaker 5: We have the architect and we have the apprentice of
- 5:19Speaker 5: no Cash fail, which was made in disjaction.
- 5:21Speaker 2: Yeah so, and by the way, Cuomo has been doing
- 5:24Speaker 2: a lot of interviews today and I noticed if you
- 5:26Speaker 2: listened to him a week ago doing interviews, it was
- 5:29Speaker 2: all about how bad Mom Dottie is, how great he is. Well,
- 5:31Speaker 2: if you're listening today doing interviews, he was really going
- 5:34Speaker 2: after Curtis. He was trying to hit Curtis hard, which
- 5:37Speaker 2: means he feels Curtis was very, very good. Last night.
- 5:41Speaker 2: He feels Curtis did a lot of damage because he
- 5:43Speaker 2: seems very busy trying to take out Curtis.
- 5:48Speaker 3: Now, this is no job for on the job training.
- 5:52Speaker 3: And if you look at the failed mayors, they're ones
- 5:54Speaker 3: that had no management experience.
- 5:57Speaker 2: Don't do it again.
- 5:58Speaker 4: I have the experience of having served the New York
- 6:00Speaker 4: State Assembly for five years and watching a broken political system.
- 6:04Speaker 4: And what all of that experience has shown me, which
- 6:06Speaker 4: mister Cuomo can't seem to understand, is that it is
- 6:09Speaker 4: far too expensive, far too hard for New Yorkers to
- 6:13Speaker 4: afford to live in this city.
- 6:14Speaker 3: He literally has never had a job. On his resume,
- 6:17Speaker 3: it says he in turned for his mother. You got
- 6:19Speaker 3: our hurricane. You were God forbid a nine to eleven
- 6:22Speaker 3: a health pandemic.
- 6:24Speaker 4: And if we have a health pandemic, then why would
- 6:26Speaker 4: New Yorkers turn back to the governor who sent seniors
- 6:28Speaker 4: to their death and nursing homes.
- 6:30Speaker 2: See, this is Cuomo's main problem. This is what happened
- 6:33Speaker 2: to him in the second debate in the primary, he
- 6:35Speaker 2: armed himself with all kinds of attacks. Cuomo had such
- 6:38Speaker 2: a horrible record as governor, did so many bad things
- 6:41Speaker 2: as governor. No matter what he tries to hit Mam
- 6:44Speaker 2: Dommie with, Mam Donnie's got these kind of comebacks. Cuomo
- 6:47Speaker 2: created the whole crime wave with his no bail, no jail,
- 6:50Speaker 2: with his defund the police. He actually did defund the
- 6:53Speaker 2: police with his closing all the prisons, letting the prisoners out,
- 6:57Speaker 2: redoing the parole board so they let all the I
- 7:00Speaker 2: was just horrible. And if you listen to them, to
- 7:03Speaker 2: him now trying to he's finally trying to explain away
- 7:05Speaker 2: some of that. He can't do it. He can't do it.
- 7:10Speaker 2: He's the no bail, no jail was the worst thing
- 7:12Speaker 2: anybody ever did to New York. And he's the guy
- 7:14Speaker 2: that pushed that. He didn't just sign it, he pushed
- 7:16Speaker 2: it in speech after speech. It was just horrible. So
- 7:21Speaker 2: he can't explain that away. Even the don't close Rikers Island,
- 7:25Speaker 2: he was the guy pushing to close Rikers island. He's
- 7:28Speaker 2: now arguing, well, I didn't say closed the island. I
- 7:30Speaker 2: meant closed the building. He the double talk just won't work. Israel,
- 7:35Speaker 2: obviously was a big topic.
- 7:37Speaker 3: The assemblyman still won't say he believes that Israel has
- 7:40Speaker 3: the right to exist as a Jewish state. He is
- 7:42Speaker 3: a divisive personality.
- 7:44Speaker 4: I've said time and again that I recognize Israel's right
- 7:46Speaker 4: to exist. I've said that I will not recognize anything Jewish,
- 7:50Speaker 4: said that I will not a Jewish state if I
- 7:52Speaker 4: would be allowed to finish that, I would not recognize
- 7:54Speaker 4: any states right to exist with a system of hierarchy
- 7:57Speaker 4: on the basis of race, of religion.
- 8:00Speaker 5: Who's under attack now more than ever before, and I
- 8:03Speaker 5: don't believe either of you have the capability, and he'll
- 8:06Speaker 5: protecting them with incredu semanticism.
- 8:09Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 8:09Speaker 2: Now, Curtis went on to point out all the times
- 8:11Speaker 2: where there were horrible, horrible attacks on Jews and he
- 8:14Speaker 2: was there with the Guardian Angels to protect them. So
- 8:17Speaker 2: if you watch the whole thing, Curtis had a great night.
- 8:20Speaker 2: But again, I don't know if it was enough, and
- 8:23Speaker 2: I don't know if anybody noticed that he won the debate,
- 8:26Speaker 2: But the moderators were trying very hard to keep the
- 8:29Speaker 2: spotlight away from Curtis. This was also the Muslim vote
- 8:34Speaker 2: was in there a lot. Cuomo trying to suddenly go
- 8:37Speaker 2: to mosques and all that, something he never did before.
- 8:39Speaker 3: I don't think in any way the Assemblyman is representative
- 8:43Speaker 3: of the Muslim community. Many of his positions don't even
- 8:46Speaker 3: follow the Muslim faith.
- 8:48Speaker 4: You know, it took Andrew Cuomo being beaten by a
- 8:51Speaker 4: Muslim candidate in the Democratic primary for him to set
- 8:54Speaker 4: foot in a mosque. It's been an hour or twenty
- 8:56Speaker 4: minutes of this debate and we haven't heard Governor Cuomo
- 8:59Speaker 4: say the word of that's why he lost the primary.
- 9:03Speaker 2: Yeah, now, I think making that the real problem. If
- 9:08Speaker 2: it's affordability, if that's the issue, that's the real problem.
- 9:10Speaker 2: If there's an affordability crisis in New York, if things
- 9:13Speaker 2: are bad here, well then you got to get rid
- 9:16Speaker 2: of the Democrats because they've been running the whole place
- 9:18Speaker 2: for fifteen years. They've been running everything. They've been the mayor,
- 9:21Speaker 2: the governor, the legislature of the City Council. Everything has
- 9:24Speaker 2: been run by Democrats. So if it's a disaster in
- 9:27Speaker 2: the crisis blame them obviously. If it's that bad after
- 9:31Speaker 2: fifteen years of them, you switch parties, you switch to
- 9:34Speaker 2: something else. Here's more of the debate. Curtis now Curtis's
- 9:37Speaker 2: number one issue police crime.
- 9:38Speaker 5: With this new police Outrage unit, Well, in danger women
- 9:43Speaker 5: and children in domestic violence situation, they will be killed,
- 9:47Speaker 5: they will be made.
- 9:49Speaker 2: Now they went into that. Social workers will answer domestic
- 9:54Speaker 2: violence calls. As cops will tell you, one of the
- 9:57Speaker 2: most dangerous things you can respond to is a domestic
- 9:59Speaker 2: violent it's called people get killed there. So you don't
- 10:01Speaker 2: want to send social workers in. And as Ray Kelly
- 10:04Speaker 2: and all the great experts have explained, NYPD has tried
- 10:09Speaker 2: that through the years, a million times. They've tried that
- 10:11Speaker 2: program where social workers respond to domestic violence. And they
- 10:16Speaker 2: find a few things. Well, A, it doesn't work. It's
- 10:19Speaker 2: never worked. They've tried it a number of times over
- 10:21Speaker 2: the decades. It doesn't work. And B the social workers
- 10:24Speaker 2: do not want to do this. They want the cops
- 10:27Speaker 2: with them on this. So and Cuomo keeps trying that. No,
- 10:32Speaker 2: he us no experience. You know, experience is a good
- 10:35Speaker 2: thing if you were good at it, if you had
- 10:37Speaker 2: a lot of experience and you were horrible at it.
- 10:39Speaker 2: Cuomo did so many awful things as governor. I don't
- 10:43Speaker 2: know it. May have the experience, but it's not good experience.
- 10:45Speaker 2: He has no experience.
- 10:47Speaker 3: And this is not a job for someone who has
- 10:49Speaker 3: no management experience to run three hundred thousand people, no
- 10:51Speaker 3: financial experience to run one hundred and fifteen billion dollar budget.
- 10:55Speaker 3: He literally has never had a job.
- 10:58Speaker 2: Yeah, he kept trying that. I don't know if that
- 11:00Speaker 2: works with anybody.
- 11:01Speaker 5: Jews don't trust that you can be there for them
- 11:05Speaker 5: when they are victims of anti Semitic attacks.
- 11:08Speaker 4: And what I'm looking to do as the first Muslim
- 11:10Speaker 4: mayor of the city is to ensure that we bring
- 11:12Speaker 4: every New Yorker together, Jewish new Yorkers, Muslim new Yorkers,
- 11:16Speaker 4: every single person that calls the city home.
- 11:18Speaker 2: Yeah. Now, this race is going to be about turnout.
- 11:22Speaker 2: The way you get a Deblasio elected is you have
- 11:24Speaker 2: eighteen percent turnout if nobody shows up, just the you know,
- 11:28Speaker 2: the energized far left shows up and you get a Deblasio.
- 11:31Speaker 2: So if it's the same thing happened in the primary,
- 11:32Speaker 2: if it's just eighteen percent, you know that's Mom Donnie.
- 11:36Speaker 2: And if you can get it presidential year kind of
- 11:39Speaker 2: a turnout, if you can get it to eighty percent,
- 11:42Speaker 2: then it's not necessarily Mom Donnie, So you got to
- 11:44Speaker 2: get it up to eighty percent. Cuomo cannot beat Mam Donnie.
- 11:47Speaker 2: It's impossible. He's been tested against Mom Donnie and the primaries.
- 11:51Speaker 2: He stinks at beating Mam Donnie. I was talking a
- 11:54Speaker 2: lot of the big, big, big donors yesterday. These are
- 11:57Speaker 2: the ones that back Cuomo. And as we always explain
- 12:01Speaker 2: to you, the big donors are always wrong every time
- 12:04Speaker 2: when it comes to politics. And when you try to explain,
- 12:10Speaker 2: we've seen that Cuomo is a disaster against Mam Donni.
- 12:13Speaker 2: Apparently the excuse he's given them and they're all falling
- 12:16Speaker 2: for this. They all keep repeating this. Well, that was
- 12:19Speaker 2: ranked choice, and it was the ranked choice. That Donnie
- 12:22Speaker 2: only beat Cuomo because of the ranked choice. This is
- 12:25Speaker 2: absolutely not true. If there were no ranked choice, he
- 12:29Speaker 2: would have beaten Cuomo in a much quicker Forget the
- 12:33Speaker 2: rank choice. It had nothing to do with the primary.
- 12:36Speaker 2: First first round of the primary, Cuomo got wiped out
- 12:39Speaker 2: by Mom Donnie. Mam Donnie beat him by one hundred
- 12:42Speaker 2: thousand votes. This is out of seven hundred thousand. Ma'm
- 12:47Speaker 2: donnie beat him by one hundred thousand votes. It wasn't
- 12:49Speaker 2: even close. Ranked choice was not a factor. Obviously, taxes
- 12:52Speaker 2: came up. That's a big issue.
- 12:54Speaker 3: He's going to raise taxes, all of He's going to
- 12:56Speaker 3: raise taxes stayed wide on corporations. But the money's own
- 13:00Speaker 3: going to go to New York City. That could never happen.
- 13:03Speaker 3: It's not just that the governor wouldn't support it. It's impossible.
- 13:06Speaker 2: Yeah. Again, Quoto not an effective debater. He's got that
- 13:10Speaker 2: voice where he goes into that sing song. It doesn't
- 13:14Speaker 2: sound good when you do it in the debate. Sound
- 13:18Speaker 2: like a housewife in Long Island. You do that.
- 13:20Speaker 4: What I tell the President is if he ever wants
- 13:22Speaker 4: to come for New Yorkers in the way that he
- 13:24Speaker 4: has been, he's going to have to get through me
- 13:26Speaker 4: as the next mayor of the city.
- 13:27Speaker 5: If you try to get tough with Trump, the only
- 13:30Speaker 5: people who are going to suffer from that are the
- 13:32Speaker 5: people of New York City.
- 13:33Speaker 3: When I'm fighting for New York, I am not going
- 13:36Speaker 3: to stop. And I'll tell you something else. If the
- 13:38Speaker 3: Assemblyman is elected mayor Donald Trump will take over New
- 13:42Speaker 3: York City and it will be Mayor Trump.
- 13:45Speaker 4: Who runs New York City.
- 13:46Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't know. I don't know. Now here's the
- 13:51Speaker 2: only hope here. Curtis did win. I don't think there
- 13:55Speaker 2: was enough of a knockout punch, or enough of a
- 13:57Speaker 2: moment to go super viral or enough people. I don't know.
- 14:01Speaker 2: I don't You can never tell after a debate. You
- 14:03Speaker 2: got to wait a couple of days for it all
- 14:05Speaker 2: sink in. And remember now it goes all over the place.
- 14:08Speaker 2: It's all over social media, streaming, YouTube, it's everywhere. It
- 14:12Speaker 2: takes a few days for everybody to see it. So
- 14:15Speaker 2: we'll see what the effect is, probably by monday. I
- 14:20Speaker 2: don't know. You can't tell. Now, how do you stop
- 14:23Speaker 2: mom Donnie. If this isn't going to stop him, Well,
- 14:26Speaker 2: there are all those investigations into the money this guy
- 14:31Speaker 2: came out of nowhere, founds him out fifty million and
- 14:33Speaker 2: sorrows type money flowed into him, somethink from around the world,
- 14:38Speaker 2: something from China, all different countries. If they can trace that,
- 14:41Speaker 2: prove that this foreign money in the campaign, they can
- 14:43Speaker 2: remove Mom Donnie. He can be taken away, can even
- 14:46Speaker 2: be indicted. Some think he'll never serve as mayor even
- 14:50Speaker 2: if he wins that they'll get him on that stuff
- 14:52Speaker 2: and take him out of the picture legally, just take
- 14:56Speaker 2: him away legally. And the only other thing is there
- 15:01Speaker 2: are Justice Department officials who have said if he becomes mayor,
- 15:07Speaker 2: if he does anything to the Jewish community, if he
- 15:09Speaker 2: does anything wrong, they the Justice Department officials have said
- 15:13Speaker 2: they will come here and arrest him for a hate crime.
- 15:16Speaker 2: So you got that going on, but we'll see. We'll
- 15:18Speaker 2: take some calls in a minute. Eight hundred three two
- 15:21Speaker 2: one zero seven ten is the numbers you want to say?
- 15:24Speaker 2: What you if you watch the debate, you got an opinion?
- 15:28Speaker 2: Eight hundred three two one zero seven ten.
- 15:32Speaker 1: Give wor oh, Bri said on the iHeart radio app
- 15:35Speaker 1: to hear Mark Simone and all the WOR hosts in
- 15:39Speaker 1: an instance, go back to the Marximo show on WOR.
- 15:44Speaker 2: Hey, let's take some calls. Let's go to Maggie in Iowa. Maggie,
- 15:49Speaker 2: how you doing?
- 15:51Speaker 6: Oh hey, hi, thanks for taking my call.
- 15:54Speaker 2: Well they got phones there in Iowa. Now wow, that's
- 15:57Speaker 2: very good.
- 15:57Speaker 6: Oh yeah, we do. Yeah, it's not nice. Yeah, Hey,
- 16:02Speaker 6: I just have a question. I just followed this race
- 16:04Speaker 6: from a distance and listen to you in the morning,
- 16:07Speaker 6: and I'm just curious, why isn't anybody asking Mondami about
- 16:12Speaker 6: his record as an assembling man. Didn't he only like
- 16:16Speaker 6: bring one piece of legislation to the floor.
- 16:20Speaker 2: Yeah, it's a good question. This is the Democratic model
- 16:24Speaker 2: now since Obama, you get a slick look and salesman
- 16:27Speaker 2: of a guy with no record. And Obama did the
- 16:30Speaker 2: same thing when he was in Congress. When he was
- 16:32Speaker 2: in the same did absolutely nothing. He barely showed up,
- 16:34Speaker 2: didn't vote, didn't do anything that you deliberately don't have
- 16:37Speaker 2: a record that way, there's no problem.
- 16:39Speaker 6: Well that's yeah, that's what I'm thinking clear out here
- 16:42Speaker 6: in Iowa. Why doesn't somebody ask those questions? What could
- 16:47Speaker 6: he vote on?
- 16:47Speaker 2: Well, it's a good point. The problem is you only
- 16:50Speaker 2: got one debate left and it's the most biased partisan
- 16:53Speaker 2: Democrat moderator Errol Lewis, so he's not going to ask that.
- 16:55Speaker 2: But good point, Maggie. But thanks for calling. Thanks a lot.
- 16:59Speaker 2: Let's go to Patrick and Scarsdale. Patrick, how you doing
- 17:04Speaker 2: very well?
- 17:04Speaker 7: Mark?
- 17:04Speaker 8: How are you today?
- 17:05Speaker 2: Good?
- 17:06Speaker 8: Good? Now, I'm just thinking of Curtis's path to victory.
- 17:09Speaker 8: We know Staten Island is very Republican and it's highly
- 17:13Speaker 8: likely he'll carry that. Aren't areas of the Bronx like
- 17:18Speaker 8: the Riverdale area high Jewish population he could possibly explore
- 17:23Speaker 8: as well.
- 17:24Speaker 2: Yeah, you know, obviously he'll do very very well with
- 17:26Speaker 2: the Jewish population. Problem is the Jewish population. It's not
- 17:29Speaker 2: as big as you think percentage wise, and not enough
- 17:31Speaker 2: to carry an election, but it's an important group and
- 17:35Speaker 2: he'll do that. You got you got a lot of
- 17:37Speaker 2: Republican votes in Queen's Staten Island, believe or not in
- 17:41Speaker 2: the Bronx. So, uh, the problem is and Curtis has
- 17:45Speaker 2: been very good with the TV commercials and you know,
- 17:49Speaker 2: social media ads and all that they have been. He's
- 17:52Speaker 2: been bombarding the airways with great commercials. Cloma's got a
- 17:55Speaker 2: couple of commercials. They're not that effective. Mom Donnie is
- 17:58Speaker 2: mostly a social media very good there. But we'll see.
- 18:03Speaker 2: Second debate is Wednesday night. But that's on New York One,
- 18:06Speaker 2: a little watch channel, and they got the most slanted
- 18:09Speaker 2: bias moderator eron Lewis doing it. Let's go to John
- 18:13Speaker 2: in Westchester, John, how you doing.
- 18:16Speaker 9: Okay, I just wanted to make a mention of the
- 18:20Speaker 9: great Aura and Governor Clombo when he was running and
- 18:29Speaker 9: abortion came up, he would say, I'm personally against it,
- 18:36Speaker 9: but the people wanted and then yeah.
- 18:40Speaker 2: Now, the only thing is abortion is not an issue here.
- 18:42Speaker 2: It's absolutely not an issue. Abortion is totally legal in
- 18:44Speaker 2: New York, always will be it. Never ever it will
- 18:47Speaker 2: be in jeopardy. It's not an issue in this campaign.
- 18:50Speaker 2: Was not an issue in the presidential campaign either. Let's
- 18:54Speaker 2: go to you know a problem. We're getting all these
- 18:55Speaker 2: great calls. The only problem is, and we love all
- 18:58Speaker 2: of you, but you're not in New York City. You're
- 18:59Speaker 2: not actually voters Scarsdale, Iowa, Long Island. I mean, keep calling,
- 19:05Speaker 2: but you're not the voters who can That's the problem.
- 19:08Speaker 2: If the whole Tri state area could vote mom, Donnie
- 19:10Speaker 2: wouldn't have a chance. If the whole just metropolitan area
- 19:13Speaker 2: and the suburbs could vote Mom, Donnie wouldn't have a chance.
- 19:16Speaker 2: Let's go to Bill in New Jersey. Bill, how you
- 19:18Speaker 2: doing good?
- 19:20Speaker 10: And thank you? Mark, speaking of both New York and
- 19:23Speaker 10: New Jersey elections, could you please tell your political context
- 19:26Speaker 10: that Jack Chitdarelli needs to hammer hammer away on the
- 19:30Speaker 10: issue of no cash bail, the crime problem in his
- 19:36Speaker 10: I haven't seen too much.
- 19:37Speaker 2: Yeah, but that's not how it works. People to do
- 19:39Speaker 2: it well, I haven't seen it. It doesn't matter. As
- 19:41Speaker 2: long as everybody else sees it, that's what works. Let's
- 19:44Speaker 2: go to Fran in Massapequa. Fran How you doing, my man?
- 19:48Speaker 2: What's up? Baby? Listen? The bottom line is this.
- 19:50Speaker 8: It's that the race in Manhattan.
- 19:52Speaker 2: I mean New York, I call it Manhattan.
- 19:55Speaker 8: It starts with the right candidates.
- 19:58Speaker 2: Look at the candidates the Republican to put and the
- 20:00Speaker 2: perfect example that he got Curtis, good guy, what candidate?
- 20:05Speaker 2: What candidate would you put in? No, I don't know,
- 20:09Speaker 2: I don't know. There you go, I asked our Republican
- 20:12Speaker 2: party chairman. I said, if it wasn't Curtis, who are
- 20:14Speaker 2: you going to go with?
- 20:15Speaker 8: Then?
- 20:16Speaker 6: Uh?
- 20:16Speaker 2: He didn't say exactly, but he kind of hinted, like
- 20:19Speaker 2: nobody else stepped forward. That's the problem. Nobody else stepped forward. Uh.
- 20:24Speaker 2: Cuomo has been trying to hit Curtis hard all day,
- 20:27Speaker 2: yelling and screaming he's the candidate of the party. Bosses
- 20:30Speaker 2: he's the candidate of Pataki and Giuliani, and they're only
- 20:34Speaker 2: doing it because they think Mamdannie will hurt the Democratic Party.
- 20:38Speaker 2: That's the only you know, I've talked to Giuliani and
- 20:41Speaker 2: Pataki even last night about this. That's not the reason
- 20:45Speaker 2: they're doing it. They really believe in Curtis. Giuliani believes
- 20:48Speaker 2: Curtis is the closest thing you ever even get to
- 20:51Speaker 2: him as mayor. He even calls him Giuliani two point zero.
- 20:54Speaker 2: Pataki is very much behind Curtis, even helped him with
- 20:58Speaker 2: the debate prep all of that stuff. Hey, we'll take
- 21:02Speaker 2: some more calls later. We'll get back to the debate.
- 21:05Speaker 2: When we come back, we'll talk to rondaser if you're
- 21:08Speaker 2: thinking of moving to Florida. She's the expert on this.
- 21:10Speaker 2: We'll give you the ups and the downs and lots
- 21:12Speaker 2: of other things to talk to her about. Coming up
- 21:15Speaker 2: next on seven ten wor The News.

- 21:22Speaker 11: the Mark Simone Podcast at seven ten wr dot com,
- 21:26Speaker 11: slash podcast, The Mark Simone Show on doubr.

- 21:44Speaker 2: shopping and up all night, coming back and making a
- 21:47Speaker 2: huge return. Ronda Sheer, how you doing.
- 21:51Speaker 7: I'm so good. I'm so worried about you and New
- 21:53Speaker 7: York City right now. I caught a lot of the
- 21:57Speaker 7: debate last night. And that name Jannys me that's smirk,
- 22:02Speaker 7: that smirk of his I mean, he's just he's mister
- 22:05Speaker 7: smooth and he's scary. I'm sorry. You better come to
- 22:10Speaker 7: Florida where it's safe and and and there's no crime.
- 22:15Speaker 2: And the crime in Florida. You got some really bad
- 22:20Speaker 2: parts of Miami, Orlando, Tampa, You've got plenty of crime
- 22:23Speaker 2: down there.
- 22:24Speaker 7: There's no anti Semitic people that that's going to round
- 22:27Speaker 7: people up. It's not good telling you. I'm just speaking
- 22:31Speaker 7: from my heart here.
- 22:32Speaker 2: We got through eight years at Doublasio. This will be fine,
- 22:35Speaker 2: but it's not over till it's over.
- 22:38Speaker 7: Really, I want Curtis to win. I don't know how
- 22:41Speaker 7: that can happen, but I want him to win. He
- 22:42Speaker 7: was great, Uh, I don't even though they kept cutting
- 22:45Speaker 7: him off and he was great.
- 22:46Speaker 2: Yeah, the moderators trying very hard. To hide Curtis, but
- 22:49Speaker 2: he clearly won the debate. I don't know anybody noticed.
- 22:52Speaker 7: It was hard to hide him. Say he was in
- 22:54Speaker 7: the middle.
- 22:54Speaker 2: And you're very good at evaluating men. Give us your
- 22:58Speaker 2: rundown of Andrew Cuomo.
- 23:01Speaker 7: Oh my gosh. Well, first of all, please stop the ozempic.
- 23:05Speaker 7: Stop the ozempic. That man looked like a scorny scale.
- 23:09Speaker 7: He was great for Halloween. He's like perfect.
- 23:12Speaker 6: I mean he used to.
- 23:13Speaker 7: I didn't like what he was doing, but I used
- 23:15Speaker 7: to watch him, you know, during the pandemic, and he
- 23:18Speaker 7: would come on all tossed and breezing. I mean, he
- 23:22Speaker 7: was entertaining before he you know, so many people went
- 23:25Speaker 7: into the Olfos home. But but he was. But he
- 23:28Speaker 7: was good with his brother. And now he's like this
- 23:30Speaker 7: shadow of what he was like just just for that,
- 23:33Speaker 7: I mean, just from an outsider looking in, he's not
- 23:36Speaker 7: that same man. He just seems a shame. But seriously,
- 23:40Speaker 7: his weight loss is terrible. Yeah, I don't know, I
- 23:44Speaker 7: don't know why. What is he trying to look like
- 23:46Speaker 7: a super female model. I don't know, but he did.
- 23:49Speaker 7: He lost that bravado that you know, that masculinity that
- 23:52Speaker 7: he did have.
- 23:53Speaker 2: Yeah, right, that's probably he was one thing to you know,
- 23:57Speaker 2: tighten up your stomach or you know, tighten your waist.
- 23:59Speaker 2: But he don't want to lose your bulk, your shoulders,
- 24:01Speaker 2: all that stuff.
- 24:02Speaker 7: He just looks he was very but not only that.
- 24:05Speaker 7: You're right, though he was drawn, his shoulders were down.
- 24:08Speaker 7: He didn't look like a leader. Just forgetting you know,
- 24:10Speaker 7: I'm going to go from the total superficial, like Curtis
- 24:14Speaker 7: look great. The other guy looked like a slineball. He
- 24:16Speaker 7: looked like he would be smelly if you've got his beard.
- 24:19Speaker 7: I don't know something about his beard.
- 24:20Speaker 1: I don't like.
- 24:21Speaker 7: I mean just because I do like look at things
- 24:23Speaker 7: in a shallow way, and you know that. So but
- 24:27Speaker 7: looking at Quota because you know, I was hoping that
- 24:30Speaker 7: he would I mean beat Ma'm danny, how did you
- 24:36Speaker 7: say his name? I can't stand him. He's terrifying. And
- 24:38Speaker 7: if I lived in New York, I tell my cousin
- 24:41Speaker 7: all the time, and she's Jewish. I'm like, aren't you afraid?
- 24:43Speaker 7: And here's the funny thing about that, Like so many
- 24:46Speaker 7: of her Jewish friends are voting for him.
- 24:50Speaker 2: It's not so many, it's not so many.
- 24:55Speaker 7: She represents. I'm telling you, she goes to Conservative Synagogue
- 24:59Speaker 7: and she goes to Orthodox and the Orthodox was very
- 25:03Speaker 7: pro Palestine and they were really talking about him. So
- 25:07Speaker 7: I don't get it.
- 25:08Speaker 10: I don't know.
- 25:10Speaker 2: It depends what neighborhood you're in. There's some diehard.
- 25:13Speaker 7: Possibly Diarrhaism exactly. Well, I mean, I keep she's She's like, gosh,
- 25:19Speaker 7: she can't stand them. But anyway, another back down. Let's
- 25:22Speaker 7: talk about Ronda today.
- 25:23Speaker 2: All right, Hey, let's talk about Up All Night was
- 25:25Speaker 2: so popular, beloved the television show. Now explain it's coming back, right, It's.
- 25:30Speaker 7: Coming back Mark ever since I talked to you in
- 25:32Speaker 7: my little podcast. This is so exciting.
- 25:34Speaker 6: So I met.
- 25:35Speaker 7: I was doing one of these conventions where you sign
- 25:37Speaker 7: autographs for fans, because Up All Night from ninety one
- 25:40Speaker 7: to ninety eight, I was Gilbert Gotley, was on God
- 25:43Speaker 7: Love Him on Saturday nights. I was on Friday nights.
- 25:45Speaker 7: We wrapped around movies on USA Network, and you know,
- 25:50Speaker 7: I thought about bringing it back, but you have to
- 25:51Speaker 7: have the movies. You have to have the library. You're
- 25:53Speaker 7: say network and a library of films, these schlocky films
- 25:56Speaker 7: back in the day which have made a huge resurgence.
- 25:59Speaker 7: Horror film are very hot right now, and I think
- 26:02Speaker 7: it's young people just didn't experience what we did in
- 26:04Speaker 7: the nineties and they're finding it and they're loving it.
- 26:08Speaker 7: So anyway, I was signing autographs in Knoxville, Kentucky, and
- 26:11Speaker 7: a gentleman came up to me from the Kings of Horror,
- 26:14Speaker 7: which you can find on YouTube just search Kings of Horror.
- 26:17Speaker 7: It's free subscribe. It's this wonderful horror channel and the
- 26:22Speaker 7: parent company owns licenses fourteen thousand titles. They're out of Prague.
- 26:28Speaker 7: It's an American man who owns it and just has
- 26:31Speaker 7: his hands and a lot of things. Anyway, loves very
- 26:34Speaker 7: short you know, I think I cold you. We built
- 26:36Speaker 7: a studio down here in Saint Petersburg, an all out,
- 26:39Speaker 7: twenty thousand foot studio for all things media, podcasts, Inflorencer's television,
- 26:44Speaker 7: whatever whatever you want to do. So we had done
- 26:47Speaker 7: that anyway, because we had this building that we wanted
- 26:49Speaker 7: to create the space on the west coast of Florida.
- 26:52Speaker 7: So they have the films, the Kings of Horror, and
- 26:56Speaker 7: we've got the studio. So we go into production literally
- 26:59Speaker 7: Monday first show is October twenty fifth on Kings of Herah.
- 27:03Speaker 7: It's a Halloween special. I am so excited. So people
- 27:06Speaker 7: have been asking me, well, how are you changing this
- 27:08Speaker 7: from the nineties. Well, I do not think I'm the
- 27:11Speaker 7: same age that I was, although I don't look bad
- 27:14Speaker 7: for an old bat, thank you. But I'm surrounding myself
- 27:19Speaker 7: because I love young actors and comics and stand up comics.
- 27:23Speaker 7: With an incredible cast of people that will come, and
- 27:26Speaker 7: some will be regulars and some I will have a
- 27:28Speaker 7: rotating cast of all the bee queens and the screen queens,
- 27:31Speaker 7: and the shows are really funny. And I have to
- 27:33Speaker 7: say this is the first time walk actually ever since
- 27:35Speaker 7: I spoke to you, left hands on from production from
- 27:39Speaker 7: start to finish. I've never done that from both sides.
- 27:42Speaker 7: It's exciting and I am having so much fun. So
- 27:45Speaker 7: our first show is October twenty fifth. Our second show
- 27:48Speaker 7: is November twenty second on Kings of Hoara, then December twentieth,
- 27:51Speaker 7: then we go every other week. So I am back.
- 27:54Speaker 2: But where do we see it?
- 27:57Speaker 7: Very easy go to YouTube search Kings of Horror are
- 28:00Speaker 7: just go to kingsofharraor dot com and if you want
- 28:04Speaker 7: all things Randa. Right now, I have a new website.
- 28:06Speaker 7: I have robshare dot com, which is my intimate apparel,
- 28:08Speaker 7: which you know about this is then if you go
- 28:11Speaker 7: to Ronda Share Up all Night dot com. It's everything
- 28:14Speaker 7: about the conventions. And I'm now booking to be signing
- 28:17Speaker 7: autographs and doing you know, having the all and also
- 28:21Speaker 7: filming from these from these events. So it's really fun.
- 28:25Speaker 7: It's it's his second breath that I'm having in my wife,
- 28:28Speaker 7: which is just I'm having a blast because I love
- 28:30Speaker 7: celebrating young people and comedy. I'm tired of turning on
- 28:33Speaker 7: Saturday Night Live and it's all politics, and as much
- 28:36Speaker 7: as I like talking it with you on the on
- 28:39Speaker 7: the surface, I want it to be just funny escapism
- 28:44Speaker 7: on a Saturday night that's totally fun. Joe Bob Breese
- 28:48Speaker 7: is still out there and it's great. We're a great
- 28:50Speaker 7: compliment to him. He's all things movie. We're going to
- 28:52Speaker 7: be a lot of comedy with a lot of people
- 28:55Speaker 7: that can talk about the films, like the directors and
- 28:57Speaker 7: the producers and and there's some magical sense. I don't
- 29:00Speaker 7: know if you remember Up All Night, but we do,
- 29:02Speaker 7: of course, very reminiscent of My heart Shaped Bed and
- 29:07Speaker 7: everything happens in Ronda's Dead though it's kind of like, pee,
- 29:09Speaker 7: wee heart.
- 29:09Speaker 2: I heard.
- 29:12Speaker 6: Did I say bed?
- 29:13Speaker 7: I met Beveram. Although you know, you would be a
- 29:15Speaker 7: great guest for who's in Ronda's bad We always have
- 29:18Speaker 7: a guest of who's in Rhonda's bead And all we
- 29:21Speaker 7: do is like, you know, you're under the covers, and
- 29:23Speaker 7: then we pull back the covers and I do an
- 29:24Speaker 7: interview with you. So you would be wonderful. So I'm
- 29:27Speaker 7: inviting you on when you're next time you're in Florida,
- 29:29Speaker 7: when you're visiting Palm Beach, you come on over to
- 29:33Speaker 7: Tampa and you do a little bit with me on
- 29:35Speaker 7: the self. It'd be so much fun dwelling.
- 29:37Speaker 2: Hey, speaking of Tampa, Saint Petersburg is like becoming the
- 29:40Speaker 2: next hot spot of Florida, isn't it?
- 29:43Speaker 7: And we just moved from there. You know, my husband
- 29:45Speaker 7: and I lived there for many years and it is
- 29:48Speaker 7: it is hot, hot, on fire. You would like it
- 29:51Speaker 7: because it has it's getting that New York vibe that
- 29:54Speaker 7: you walk everywhere, you do everything, you're building these incredible spaces.
- 29:58Speaker 7: It really is on fire.
- 30:00Speaker 2: Ye, beautiful buildings, chic cafes, beastros. Everything's going up in
- 30:04Speaker 2: Saint Petersburg.
- 30:06Speaker 6: It is.
- 30:06Speaker 7: But the thing is, when my husband and I were
- 30:08Speaker 7: looking to move because if I couldn't live in my
- 30:10Speaker 7: dream house, and my husband was done with it because
- 30:12Speaker 7: it was ten thousand square feet, it was too big,
- 30:14Speaker 7: he couldn't handle it. Blah blah blah. I loved it.
- 30:17Speaker 7: I loved it, had a lot of you know, charity
- 30:18Speaker 7: events there. But anyway, we downsized. It's still a nice
- 30:22Speaker 7: size home. I rand, but it's in Tampa. But the
- 30:24Speaker 7: thing about Saint Pete is, if you're not a walker,
- 30:27Speaker 7: which you are, you'll walk.
- 30:28Speaker 10: You New York is walker.
- 30:29Speaker 1: I love that.
- 30:29Speaker 7: That's why you're so healthy. If you're not a walker,
- 30:32Speaker 7: then everything is kind of central Saint Pete downtown and
- 30:36Speaker 7: all the restaurants and you walk from one to another
- 30:38Speaker 7: to another. And if you were into driving, which I
- 30:40Speaker 7: prefer driving, it is a little hot here in the summer.
- 30:43Speaker 7: It's beautiful right now. Anyway, then it's great. Tampa's great too.
- 30:47Speaker 7: I mean, Tampa's exciting. There's no doubt.
- 30:49Speaker 10: We've got the sports.
- 30:50Speaker 7: Team that's not that exciting, but it's exciting. I don't
- 30:54Speaker 7: think New York's going to be so exciting after your
- 30:56Speaker 7: mayor election.
- 30:58Speaker 2: I'm telling you, well, I wish we had more time.
- 31:02Speaker 2: We'll have you back soon to talk about up all night.
- 31:06Speaker 7: You have to say all night. I know you're too much.
- 31:10Speaker 2: All night, all night. How's that?
- 31:13Speaker 7: That's good? It's not bad, not bad?
- 31:14Speaker 2: But what it give us? The title the King of Horror.
- 31:17Speaker 10: It's the King.
- 31:19Speaker 7: Go to YouTube and then you start Kings of Horror.
- 31:22Speaker 7: Just go directly the Kings of Horror dot com. It's
- 31:24Speaker 7: all things horror. They've got like two million subscribers. Now,
- 31:27Speaker 7: if you are a fan of horror films, we're bringing
- 31:30Speaker 7: that back. But I'll be bringing a lot of back
- 31:32Speaker 7: back what I did in the nineties, but with a
- 31:34Speaker 7: twist of today. It'll be funny, Mark, a lot of
- 31:37Speaker 7: funny sketches. The first three shows are very funny because
- 31:40Speaker 7: I had my hands in writing them.
- 31:41Speaker 2: All right, sounds great.
- 31:44Speaker 7: Thank you so much.
- 31:44Speaker 2: Check out Rondasheer dot com too, and follow her on
- 31:48Speaker 2: Instagram and Twitter and YouTube and everywhere. Rondasher thanks for
- 31:52Speaker 2: being with us.
- 31:54Speaker 7: Thank you, Mark. I'll see you soon.
- 31:56Speaker 2: Take care. H Hey, don't forget coming up in noon,
- 31:59Speaker 2: Buck Sexton, Clay Travis. They'll have a great show today.
- 32:01Speaker 2: Lots to talk about right here on seven ten Woir Hey,
- 32:07Speaker 2: coming up in the next hour. We'll get to the
- 32:10Speaker 2: mayoral debate. We'll get to Letitia James, more trouble for her.
- 32:13Speaker 2: We'll get to John Bolton and Moore right after the
- 32:16Speaker 2: news here on seven ten wor
