Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: On today's show, we'll tell you why Jalen Hurts was
- 0:03Speaker 1: unfairly deceived by the Jets.
- 0:05Speaker 2: Let's go Rody intro.
- 0:12Speaker 1: All right, to your life from Philly. It's the number
- 0:17Speaker 1: one read to Paul of Tony Fools, Go show yo
- 0:22Speaker 1: as always, Polly Fool's go here with Tony Fuzco and Tony. Yeah,
- 0:28Speaker 1: you show today, And of course the top story is us.
- 0:33Speaker 1: You know, huge viral video we put out last week
- 0:36Speaker 1: about the Cowboys total TikTok and Instagram domination.
- 0:41Speaker 2: Yeah, that's what we call influencing.
- 0:44Speaker 1: Ye take no people believe you talking about domination, Tony
- 0:48Speaker 1: Phillies continue that postseason domination and you know what you
- 0:53Speaker 1: exactly why all these idiots out there have been proven wrong?
- 0:57Speaker 2: Yeah they can now shut up forever.
- 1:00Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:00Speaker 1: And on the subject of idiots, people claiming Dak Prescott
- 1:04Speaker 1: is good because the Cowboys beat the Chargers.
- 1:08Speaker 2: Yeah, we're gonna charge them with stupidity.
- 1:12Speaker 1: Yeah, there you go. Anyway, as we set up top,
- 1:14Speaker 1: you know, we're gonna defend the Eagles after a shocking
- 1:17Speaker 1: and totally unfair loss to the Jets, and we're still
- 1:20Speaker 1: set all with our guest. You know, he's a former
- 1:23Speaker 1: Cowboys KILB who, like Dak Prescott, knows exactly what it's
- 1:26Speaker 1: like to totally suck in Dallas. And you know we're
- 1:29Speaker 1: gonna get this so called valuable inside or whatever. He's
- 1:32Speaker 1: a former NFL QLB once led the Patriots to the
- 1:35Speaker 1: Super Bowl, but you know then he lost, so he.
- 1:37Speaker 2: Kind of doesn't recounts that whole season.
- 1:39Speaker 3: Then.
- 1:39Speaker 1: Anyway, true Bledsoe will be joining us again.
- 1:43Speaker 2: And he drew the wrong day to come back on
- 1:46Speaker 2: the show.
- 1:47Speaker 1: Yeah, but on that note, it's always a great day
- 1:50Speaker 1: to support our sponsor, our good friends at Old El Passo.
- 1:55Speaker 1: Do you only eat American food, well, then it's time
- 1:58Speaker 1: to expand your horizons, lazy fuck.
- 2:01Speaker 2: Yeah. You know I love sampling food from around the world,
- 2:05Speaker 2: and so does my aunt Marie and her boyfriend Nuncio.
- 2:09Speaker 2: You know, he told me that my aunt makes the
- 2:12Speaker 2: best Mexican food. Just the other day. He told me
- 2:15Speaker 2: there's nothing he enjoys more than opening up her taco
- 2:19Speaker 2: and filling it with hot beef. And you know what,
- 2:23Speaker 2: let's let's just keep moving just to.
- 2:25Speaker 1: Let and anyway, visit your local grocer today ask them
- 2:28Speaker 1: for Old El Paso taco. Shells, the only taco shells
- 2:32Speaker 1: approved by Pauley and Tony.
- 2:35Speaker 2: Yeah, another check in the MILLI go, all.
- 2:37Speaker 1: Right, Tony, A lot to get do, so let's get
- 2:39Speaker 1: right into our top story story. All right, First out
- 2:44Speaker 1: the gate, of course, the Phillies continue to destroy and
- 2:48Speaker 1: humiliate their opponents. Yeah, in Citizens Bank, the team has
- 2:54Speaker 1: the single greatest home field winning percentage ever recorded your
- 2:59Speaker 1: baseball his But you know this is no surprise to us, Tony,
- 3:02Speaker 1: And in fact, it's a credit to the fans, isn't it.
- 3:05Speaker 2: Absolutely it's the intimidation factor. The Phillies have the greatest
- 3:11Speaker 2: home field advantage because opposing players are clearly terrified to
- 3:15Speaker 2: play there. You know, for years people criticized Philly fans
- 3:19Speaker 2: and claimed that all the verbal abuse, spitting, threats of
- 3:23Speaker 2: physical violence, actual physical violence, battery, throwing, fire starting, and
- 3:29Speaker 2: assaulting of police forrces was bad behavior. But this just
- 3:33Speaker 2: proves that the behavior was in fact strategic and highly reasonable.
- 3:39Speaker 1: Great insight, Tony. And now moving to the NFL and
- 3:44Speaker 1: the Eagles shocking upset loss to the Jets, and you know,
- 3:47Speaker 1: of course the story from the game. Jalen Hurts throwing
- 3:51Speaker 1: three interceptions, but Dony. When you break this down, it's
- 3:55Speaker 1: very easy to see what went wrong here.
- 3:58Speaker 2: One hundred percent. The problem here is the Eagles and
- 4:02Speaker 2: Jets were both wearing green helmets. Well, how was Jalen
- 4:06Speaker 2: Hurt supposed to tell the difference. It's confusing. The Jets
- 4:11Speaker 2: were basically camouflaged as Eagles. You know, if the Jets
- 4:15Speaker 2: had to wear I don't know, orange helmets, the Eagles
- 4:19Speaker 2: would have won by fifty.
- 4:21Speaker 1: Such terrific analysis, Tony. And you know, another wrangle here
- 4:25Speaker 1: is that, you know, people are saying that it's somehow
- 4:27Speaker 1: bad that the Eagles are five and one and no
- 4:31Speaker 1: longer undefeated. But yeah, Tony, if you know anything about football,
- 4:35Speaker 1: the last thing you want to be is undefeated, isn't
- 4:39Speaker 1: that right?
- 4:39Speaker 2: Yeah, it's terrible to be undefeated. Just look at the
- 4:43Speaker 2: Miami Dolphins in nineteen seventy two. They went undefeated and
- 4:48Speaker 2: won the Super Bowl, and since then the organization has
- 4:52Speaker 2: been terrible because now, no matter what they do, it
- 4:56Speaker 2: won't be good enough. You have to think if they
- 4:59Speaker 2: had just gone you know, nine to seven that season,
- 5:02Speaker 2: they probably would have had at least two three more
- 5:04Speaker 2: Super Bowls by now.
- 5:06Speaker 1: Drew and last news item considering the Eagles, of course,
- 5:10Speaker 1: the big nose they picked up legendary receiver Julio Jones. Y,
- 5:15Speaker 1: you know, people are saying that at age thirty four,
- 5:18Speaker 1: Julio Jones is over the hill. But Tony, these people
- 5:22Speaker 1: don't know what they're talking about.
- 5:23Speaker 2: Do they not at all? What is the one thing
- 5:26Speaker 2: you need an NFL play it to be restated, Yes, exactly,
- 5:32Speaker 2: Julio Jones hasn't played all season. Meanwhile, all these other
- 5:37Speaker 2: young receivers already banged up and basically ruined. In fact,
- 5:41Speaker 2: when I made my available receivers list at the start
- 5:44Speaker 2: of the week, it went number one Julio Jones, number
- 5:49Speaker 2: two Chad Ocho Sinko, and number three a tie between
- 5:54Speaker 2: Tara Loewens and Isaac Bruce.
- 5:58Speaker 1: Terrific analysis once again, Tony, and now staying in the division.
- 6:02Speaker 1: You know, Cowboys fans are already back on the Dak
- 6:05Speaker 1: Prescott train after he beat the Chargers twenty to seventeen.
- 6:09Speaker 1: But Dony, you know, you look at all the quarterbacks
- 6:13Speaker 1: Dak has beaten the season. They've all been injured.
- 6:16Speaker 2: Right, absolutely, just look at this list. Every team they've
- 6:20Speaker 2: beaten has an injured QB. Jets Aaron Rodgers Achilles, your
- 6:27Speaker 2: charges justin Herbert broken finger yep, Patriots Mac Jones blurred
- 6:34Speaker 2: vision yep. And Giants Daniel Jones completely unusable.
- 6:39Speaker 1: Body can't argue with that and do another struggling QB.
- 6:43Speaker 1: You also can't argue that it was a terrible week
- 6:47Speaker 1: for Brock Purty. You know, not only did he lose
- 6:50Speaker 1: his first complete NFL game, but he suffered the ultimate
- 6:53Speaker 1: humiliation of course, losing to the Browns. You know we've
- 6:57Speaker 1: seen this before, haven't we. You know, a QB hides
- 7:00Speaker 1: behind the big winning streak and then gets totally exposed.
- 7:04Speaker 1: Of course, I'm talking about Tim Tebow. And when you
- 7:06Speaker 1: look at the stats, you can see that thirty is
- 7:09Speaker 1: now statistically worse than Debo. Isn't that right?
- 7:13Speaker 2: Yep. When comparing quarterbacks, people always look at their Korea numbers.
- 7:19Speaker 2: But that's wrong, wrong, It's too much information. To get
- 7:22Speaker 2: an accurate assessment, you have to look at how both
- 7:26Speaker 2: QB's fed in the exact same week, Week six of
- 7:30Speaker 2: their second NFL season. In Week six, Rock Party had
- 7:35Speaker 2: a measly forty four percent completion percentage, but that same
- 7:39Speaker 2: week t Bow had a much more impressive forty eight
- 7:43Speaker 2: percent completion percentage. Party only through for one hundred and
- 7:47Speaker 2: twenty five yards. Tbo threw for a relatively massive one
- 7:52Speaker 2: hundred and sixty five yards.
- 7:54Speaker 1: Yep.
- 7:54Speaker 2: And what's the most important stat for a QB rushing yards? Yup?
- 8:00Speaker 2: Tebow crushed him in that category fifty nine to seven.
- 8:04Speaker 2: So as you can see, Tim Tebow was the better
- 8:07Speaker 2: quarterback at the exact same point in his career.
- 8:11Speaker 1: Just amazing Pulitzer worthy analysis that, Dony and Daniel, We're
- 8:16Speaker 1: going to keep the conversation going because I see our
- 8:19Speaker 1: guests coming on the line, So let's bring him on
- 8:21Speaker 1: the Fusco Satellite network. Fusco Satellite the world. All right,
- 8:27Speaker 1: This guy, you know, considered to be one of the
- 8:31Speaker 1: greatest quarterbacks in NFL history, not by us, but by
- 8:34Speaker 1: some other people who don't know that much about football,
- 8:37Speaker 1: you know, full time pro Bowler led the Patriots to
- 8:39Speaker 1: the Super Bowl in nineteen ninety six, you know, but
- 8:42Speaker 1: then they lost to the Packers, so unfortunately wound up
- 8:44Speaker 1: meeting you know, totally nothing. He also played for the
- 8:47Speaker 1: Bills and Cowboys, which we'll get into anyway. Let's just
- 8:50Speaker 1: get him in here. Drew Bledsoe, welcome back to the show.
- 8:53Speaker 3: What's happening? Fellow's good to see you again.
- 8:56Speaker 2: Thank you.
- 8:57Speaker 4: And when I say when I say good, that's as
- 8:59Speaker 4: nice as I'm going to be. You know, you know
- 9:01Speaker 4: how I actually really feel.
- 9:02Speaker 2: Oh we're going to start like this.
- 9:03Speaker 1: Okay, he's already sweating Tony.
- 9:06Speaker 2: Yeah, I know he feels the blitz coming, That Paul
- 9:09Speaker 2: and Tony blitz was coming.
- 9:10Speaker 3: I had to go.
- 9:11Speaker 4: I had to go work out some aggression because I
- 9:13Speaker 4: knew I was gonna have to jump on with you too.
- 9:15Speaker 3: So I got my work out already. Now I'm ready.
- 9:18Speaker 3: I'm ready.
- 9:18Speaker 1: It's going to be work for us. Yeah, all right here,
- 9:21Speaker 1: let's just get into it all right. As you know,
- 9:23Speaker 1: drew the Eagles lost to the Jets on Sunday. All right,
- 9:26Speaker 1: you know Jalen hurts three picks and it's very clear.
- 9:29Speaker 1: Just it's the uniform colors. You know, both teams that
- 9:33Speaker 1: wearing green helmets. The Jets, they're basically out in that
- 9:37Speaker 1: camouflaged as the Eagles. You know, as a quarterback, you know,
- 9:40Speaker 1: don't you think it's confusing? I mean, when you were
- 9:42Speaker 1: on the Patriots, you know you're playing the Bills who
- 9:44Speaker 1: also wear red, white, and blue. Didn't you get confused?
- 9:49Speaker 3: You know, it's a valid point.
- 9:51Speaker 4: Man. You know you got during the run around and
- 9:53Speaker 4: you got very similar colors, and yeah, that can be
- 9:57Speaker 4: that can be frustrated.
- 9:58Speaker 3: There's no there's no question. Surprised.
- 10:00Speaker 4: Pretty surprising game though. I gotta be honest, it was
- 10:03Speaker 4: like shooting men. The Niners and the Eagles go down
- 10:06Speaker 4: in the same weekend. I don't know anybody that's some
- 10:09Speaker 4: one of the fiber pools is dead.
- 10:11Speaker 2: Now, Well, the Niners went down because they suck, but
- 10:13Speaker 2: the Eagles got tricked. But these the other team wore camouflage.
- 10:16Speaker 1: Will think that the Jets should have been forced to
- 10:18Speaker 1: wear like, you know, orange or maybe yellow. Yeah, make
- 10:22Speaker 1: it more distinctive.
- 10:23Speaker 3: I think so.
- 10:24Speaker 4: I mean, I think it's you know, we almost we
- 10:27Speaker 4: almost to breast cancer awareness months. Maybe they could have
- 10:30Speaker 4: worn on, you know, all pink. That would have been
- 10:32Speaker 4: way more fair.
- 10:33Speaker 2: Great point. There you go. We're off to a good starts.
- 10:36Speaker 1: You know, he's righty and okay, but yeah, just you know,
- 10:38Speaker 1: on the subject of Jalen Hurts, you know, drew as
- 10:41Speaker 1: a QB. You know, you were known for your m
- 10:43Speaker 1: but you know, you look at Jalen Hurts the success
- 10:45Speaker 1: he's having, does that make you regret you know, not
- 10:49Speaker 1: being more mobile, you know, just kind of standing around
- 10:51Speaker 1: like a Frankenstein back there?
- 10:53Speaker 4: Yeah, I like, I like what you did there? Yeah,
- 10:55Speaker 4: did you pull a muscle? Trying to use that big
- 10:57Speaker 4: word and mobile?
- 10:59Speaker 1: Yeah, aren't you the same guy who pulled a muscle
- 11:02Speaker 1: and let the Patriots win the Super Bowl?
- 11:04Speaker 3: Yeah? You know that was that has been Howard's fault,
- 11:07Speaker 3: by the way.
- 11:08Speaker 1: Yeah, no, Jalen different.
- 11:10Speaker 4: But I'll be serious for one minute with you, with
- 11:14Speaker 4: you morons, Uh, Jalen Hurts is the guy that I
- 11:18Speaker 4: have so much respect for, and you know, off the field.
- 11:22Speaker 3: Is a rock star of a human kiss that.
- 11:26Speaker 4: And I actually I really love the way that he's
- 11:29Speaker 4: the way that he's playing, because he's.
- 11:30Speaker 3: Throwing the ball really well. You know this already, come on,
- 11:33Speaker 3: he's a force of Patriots.
- 11:35Speaker 1: All right, now we have two eyes go Yeah, were
- 11:39Speaker 1: you going to say something there? That was a bunch
- 11:41Speaker 1: of yeah, we all.
- 11:43Speaker 4: Know, be honest, you know, I could have run more,
- 11:47Speaker 4: so that was a conscious decision. You know, I'm actually
- 11:49Speaker 4: really really fast and just never really showed it off.
- 11:51Speaker 1: Well, not mentally. I mean, come on, you did you
- 11:55Speaker 1: see the tape? I mean you were about as mobile
- 11:58Speaker 1: as a tree exactly. Mm hmm.
- 12:02Speaker 4: Well, yeah, you're right. You know, I don't really have
- 12:06Speaker 4: any defense there, guys, So you know what, Yeah.
- 12:08Speaker 1: I can't. So you know you pretty much fucked up.
- 12:12Speaker 1: Well yeah, let's let's let's change GE's a little bit.
- 12:15Speaker 1: Let's let's talk cowboys here.
- 12:17Speaker 2: You know, you did have some success in your career
- 12:20Speaker 2: with the Patriots and the Bills. Then you went to
- 12:23Speaker 2: Dallas and you kind of sucked. So what happens in
- 12:27Speaker 2: Dallas that just causes QB's to suck?
- 12:30Speaker 1: Great question.
- 12:31Speaker 4: Well, I do recall fairly clearly beating the Birds up
- 12:36Speaker 4: there in Philly, very late in the game.
- 12:38Speaker 1: Oh no, no, no, no, no, no, hold on just a moment.
- 12:41Speaker 1: Let's just clear the ye.
- 12:42Speaker 4: There was another game where we kicked your ass down
- 12:44Speaker 4: in Dallas. But you know, I know, we don't want
- 12:47Speaker 4: to talk about.
- 12:48Speaker 2: That, no, no, no.
- 12:49Speaker 1: What we want to talk about is your lifetime record
- 12:52Speaker 1: against the Eagles. What is that number, Drew?
- 12:55Speaker 3: I don't know. At least we at least won.
- 12:56Speaker 1: A couple exactly, and then you lost three.
- 13:00Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, you're on your way to Lord just so
- 13:05Speaker 2: you know.
- 13:06Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, no, you guys.
- 13:09Speaker 4: Yeah, it was interesting, you know, grown up on the
- 13:12Speaker 4: West Coast and a whole bunch of buddies that were
- 13:15Speaker 4: forty nine ers fans, and so when I joined the Cowboys,
- 13:19Speaker 4: They're like, man, I don't know if we can even
- 13:20Speaker 4: cheer for you. I mean we've known you since we
- 13:22Speaker 4: were twelve years old, and I guess we can kind
- 13:25Speaker 4: of try to cheer for you. But man, when people
- 13:27Speaker 4: hate the Cowboys, they really hate the Cowboys.
- 13:29Speaker 5: Well that was some friends and smart friends and gotten about,
- 13:33Speaker 5: you know, just but Tony had a great question that,
- 13:35Speaker 5: you know, the Cowboys they always seem to have, you know,
- 13:37Speaker 5: mediocre or just total dog piss qbs.
- 13:40Speaker 1: You know you were among those. Why are the Cowboys
- 13:43Speaker 1: so bad at judging quarterbacks? What is their problem there?
- 13:46Speaker 4: Yeah, you know there's been some there's been some good
- 13:50Speaker 4: guys in there.
- 13:50Speaker 3: And then you go back to starback, you go back
- 13:52Speaker 3: to Akman.
- 13:53Speaker 1: Yeah, you know, there have been good presidents, you know,
- 13:55Speaker 1: Ronald Reagan, you know exactly, Dwight Eisenhower.
- 13:59Speaker 4: Good, yes, that's a good point. That's a good point. Yeah, well,
- 14:02Speaker 4: you know Dak you know, Dak's starting to look better.
- 14:05Speaker 4: He had a nice game the other day against the Chargers.
- 14:08Speaker 1: So, you know, do you notice that Dak he's only
- 14:12Speaker 1: beaten injured quarterbacks this year? You know, you look at
- 14:15Speaker 1: Justin Herbert broken hand, Matt Jones, you know he's got
- 14:18Speaker 1: blurred vision, Aaron Rodgers out for the year. You know,
- 14:22Speaker 1: Jones completely unusable body. Doesn't that take away as a quarterback?
- 14:27Speaker 1: Doesn't that take away from a win when you know
- 14:29Speaker 1: you beat someone who's basically infirmed.
- 14:33Speaker 4: Well, I mean, let's not pick on the handicapped. I mean,
- 14:36Speaker 4: I'm on with you, two morons.
- 14:38Speaker 3: So oh.
- 14:41Speaker 2: We're going to handicap Yeah, exactly.
- 14:44Speaker 4: With you mentally handicapped people. And I just don't think
- 14:47Speaker 4: that that.
- 14:49Speaker 1: Don't worry when I break those two wine bottles behind
- 14:53Speaker 1: you over your head, yeah, over your head, you'll have
- 14:55Speaker 1: some trouble thinking then. But you know, on that note,
- 14:58Speaker 1: let's give you a little IQ test here. Okay, do
- 15:02Speaker 1: you think Dak could get the Cowboys to the Super Bowl.
- 15:06Speaker 4: I think that that's a possibility, especially if that defense
- 15:09Speaker 4: keeps playing the way they are. Their defensive front is
- 15:11Speaker 4: and that's the quarterback's very best friend. You got an
- 15:14Speaker 4: offensive defensive line, and man, all of a sudden, playing
- 15:17Speaker 4: quarterback gets a lot easier.
- 15:19Speaker 3: No.
- 15:19Speaker 1: Actually, Dak's best friend is his travel agent, isn't that right?
- 15:22Speaker 1: Don't he just break down the numbers there?
- 15:24Speaker 2: Yeah, you know, the average super Bowl ticket is around
- 15:27Speaker 2: eight thousand dollars drew, so with transportation and lodging, it's
- 15:32Speaker 2: around six hundred thousand dollars for Dak to take the
- 15:35Speaker 2: team to the super Bowl, which he can easily afford
- 15:39Speaker 2: given his bad, very over valued contract.
- 15:42Speaker 1: Seems like a super Bowl lock, right.
- 15:44Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, that's yeah, that's good math. I'm impressed that
- 15:49Speaker 4: you're able to pull that off. Yeah, we'll see, We'll see.
- 15:53Speaker 1: You know, another line like that and I'll pull you
- 15:55Speaker 1: off this show.
- 15:56Speaker 2: Yeh.
- 15:56Speaker 1: Anyway, let's move on. Let's move to your former coach there,
- 16:00Speaker 1: who wisely got rid of you, Bill Belichick. You know,
- 16:02Speaker 1: obviously he's having a rough season, right, yeah, not good,
- 16:06Speaker 1: But Drol, let's take a moment here. Don't you'll think
- 16:08Speaker 1: it's so sad how his legacy is now ruined. I mean,
- 16:12Speaker 1: you know now that people think about Belichick, they don't
- 16:14Speaker 1: think about the Super Bowls. They think about him being
- 16:17Speaker 1: one in five and having lost to pathetic teams like
- 16:20Speaker 1: the Saints and raid is It's just isn't it so
- 16:23Speaker 1: sad that that's his legacy?
- 16:24Speaker 3: Now? Yeah?
- 16:26Speaker 4: Yeah, that's that's really terrible that you know, only six
- 16:29Speaker 4: super Bowl wins and you know, twenty something straight years
- 16:32Speaker 4: of playoffs.
- 16:33Speaker 1: We don't that's overshot.
- 16:34Speaker 2: Yeah what super Bowl wins? I don't even remember, though,
- 16:36Speaker 2: I remember getting blanked by the Saints.
- 16:41Speaker 4: Yeah, I agree, Yeah, it's yeah, it's tragic that that,
- 16:44Speaker 4: you know, the twenty some year run of unprecedented success
- 16:50Speaker 4: and victories just is completely forgotten now forever.
- 16:55Speaker 2: So sad it is said, So you agree, very good?
- 16:58Speaker 3: Yeah, tragic?
- 17:01Speaker 1: Yeah all right, I can't tell if he's being serious
- 17:04Speaker 1: and yeah, yeah, I think he may have taken a
- 17:07Speaker 1: swig out of those bottles by Yeah all right, but
- 17:10Speaker 1: hold on, look, you know, moving to more of a
- 17:12Speaker 1: sports media topic. You may have seen this grew Pat McAfee.
- 17:16Speaker 1: He's a sports talk show host in the business, you know,
- 17:18Speaker 1: competing with us, not not winning, but trying. You know,
- 17:21Speaker 1: he's been taking shots, and rightly so, because it's been

- 17:28Speaker 1: his show. Which is just pathetic. You know, on this
