Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: Why is it the Minnesota is where they are right now.
- 0:03Speaker 1: I'm not saying that it's a bad year. They're seventeen
- 0:06Speaker 1: and fifteen right now. But when you compare this team
- 0:09Speaker 1: that you're watching to the one we saw last year
- 0:12Speaker 1: that was thirty games over five hundred, what are you seeing?
- 0:15Speaker 2: Night and day is night and day because they really
- 0:19Speaker 2: miss Cat, Really, they really miss Cat. You see Nixon
- 0:23Speaker 2: won nine Cats on fire right now, but number one
- 0:28Speaker 2: when Rudy Gobert is in the game earner, they're playing
- 0:30Speaker 2: five on four because Rudy's not scored. But the one
- 0:34Speaker 2: thing that is hurting they really have screwed up nas
- 0:38Speaker 2: Reeds because he's not getting any shots at all, basically
- 0:44Speaker 2: because Julius Rondo is a good player, but he's so bald, dominant,
- 0:49Speaker 2: and he gonna get his shot and he's not worried
- 0:52Speaker 2: about anything else. And I think, I actually think Anthony
- 0:55Speaker 2: Edwards in my opinion, has regressed because he's become an
- 0:58Speaker 2: outside shooter. He's not aggressive like he was last year,
- 1:05Speaker 2: you know, And you can look at those numbers right
- 1:07Speaker 2: there and say he's averaging nineteen points, in my opinion,
- 1:11Speaker 2: is not a good nineteen in my opinion, But how was.
- 1:15Speaker 1: How was Anthony Edwards regressed.
- 1:17Speaker 2: Because he's taking too many threes? In my opinion, he's
- 1:21Speaker 2: taking it because Ernie, when he's such a terrific player,
- 1:25Speaker 2: if you guard him, you want him shooting threes because
- 1:29Speaker 2: if he's going to the basket, he's dunking on people,
- 1:32Speaker 2: he's getting you in foul trouble. He's getting you inde
- 1:34Speaker 2: penalty sooner when he shoots threes, even though he make
- 1:38Speaker 2: him think about this. The one game we watched him
- 1:40Speaker 2: early this year, he came out and made like six
- 1:43Speaker 2: threes the first quarter and I said, I hate the
- 1:46Speaker 2: way he's playing, even though he made six, but the
- 1:50Speaker 2: defense is like they'd end up losing that game.
- 1:53Speaker 3: They end up losing that game.
- 1:55Speaker 2: But first of all, no disrespect. He shouldn't even be
- 1:57Speaker 2: on this list.
- 1:58Speaker 3: Let's stop it. Let's stop it.
- 2:00Speaker 1: He's just one of those curious his first aid games
- 2:02Speaker 1: against the Celtics, he's had at least twenty and I
- 2:05Speaker 1: tell him and it gets shocked on the list. Y.
- 2:09Speaker 2: That's my point. All those other guys in the Hall
- 2:11Speaker 2: of Fame. One thing we do on television that's so stupid,
- 2:16Speaker 2: Like last year we says this dude, like Michael Jordan,
- 2:18Speaker 2: they just both black. He's not Michael Jordan. And I
- 2:21Speaker 2: think he's a great kid and he got a chance
- 2:22Speaker 2: to being a great player. But I personally think he's
- 2:25Speaker 2: regressing become a jump shooter. He's not aggressive. Uh, he's
- 2:29Speaker 2: gonna have to become more of a leader.
- 2:31Speaker 3: Uh.
- 2:32Speaker 2: When you have a breakout, it doesn't get easier, it
- 2:35Speaker 2: gets harder. But like I say, I think Judus Randall's
- 2:38Speaker 2: game is really heard in os reed. But I think
- 2:41Speaker 2: the biggest issue is, Uh, Rudy is just not a
- 2:45Speaker 2: score ernie. And you're playing five on four and you
- 2:49Speaker 2: don't have to think about this cat. You have to
- 2:53Speaker 2: play cat out to the three point line. You don't
- 2:56Speaker 2: have to do that with Rudy and so Afy he's
- 2:59Speaker 2: really he's selling for jump shots and he's really playing
- 3:02Speaker 2: five oh four, uh four, he's playing.
- 3:05Speaker 4: I would agree with Chuck one hundred percent. And we
- 3:07Speaker 4: talked about that comparison last year that people were saying
- 3:10Speaker 4: Michael Jordan. Well, there's a quote I do remember Michael
- 3:14Speaker 4: talking about when he hit the seven threes. He says,
- 3:17Speaker 4: that's not my game because he takes me out of
- 3:20Speaker 4: attack mode, he says, And so when Anthony Edwards is
- 3:23Speaker 4: in attack mode.
- 3:24Speaker 2: That's what he's at his best.
- 3:25Speaker 4: What happens is the weak side defenders are now playing defense.
- 3:30Speaker 4: When he's shooting threes, the weak guy's side defenders, the
- 3:33Speaker 4: guys who's got guarding the guys on the other side
- 3:36Speaker 4: of the floor get the rest. But when he's driving
- 3:39Speaker 4: the basket, you gotta go help.
- 3:41Speaker 2: He kicks it.
- 3:42Speaker 4: Now you got to sprint back out. He creates so
- 3:44Speaker 4: much havoc. So I would agree with Chuck when he
- 3:47Speaker 4: turns back into the attacker and not the shooter, and
- 3:52Speaker 4: that's when he's going to be different.
- 3:53Speaker 3: To add on to that day, we annoying that him
- 3:55Speaker 3: is great, but if you want to become greater, you
- 3:57Speaker 3: have to show a little bit more consistency. And I
- 3:59Speaker 3: have to agree with you up by him just stepping
- 4:01Speaker 3: out there and then shooting threes, he's he's digressed. Once
- 4:03Speaker 3: he get back to mixing his game up, he will
- 4:06Speaker 3: become a great player.
- 4:07Speaker 1: Can I can I ask you a question, a trivia
- 4:10Speaker 1: question that you have absolutely no shot at?
- 4:13Speaker 3: What's that? Okay? Okay?
- 4:15Speaker 1: Julius Randall, Yes, double figures in all thirty two of
- 4:18Speaker 1: the games he's played with Minnesota. All Right, who's got
- 4:22Speaker 1: the record from Minnesota? Doug West most most double digit
- 4:25Speaker 1: games to start your career.
- 4:27Speaker 3: Because they do. Kevin Love, he looked j ol Righter.
- 4:31Speaker 1: Try Tony Campbell with Nice.
- 4:36Speaker 3: State, Right York City. He play. He's twenty five. Don't
- 4:40Speaker 3: start snitching.
