Ep. 3744 BOMBSHELL: Congress Just Got CAUGHT Doing This!!! · Turley Talks

• 0:00
[SPEAKER_01]: The liberal globalist order is on its brink and awakening a new conservative age.
• 0:06
[SPEAKER_01]: Dr. Steve Turley, join me every day as we discover answers to today's toughest challenges and explore the re-bondalization of conservative civilization.
• 0:18
  [SPEAKER_01]: This is Turley Talks.
• 0:21
[SPEAKER_01]: What do you know for the fifth year in a row, DC, Beat Wall Street?
• 0:27
  [SPEAKER_01]: Washington politicians.
• 0:28
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, you know, the adults from DC, they've once again outperform the best and brightest of investors.
• 0:36
[SPEAKER_01]: The full congressional insider trading report for 2025 just dropped and the data is, I mean, it's frankly shocking.
• 0:44
[SPEAKER_01]: a whopping 38 members of Congress, you heard that right, 38 made higher returns than none other than Warren Buffett himself last year.
• 0:58
[SPEAKER_01]: These folks didn't just outperform the index gang, they absolutely obliterated it.
• 1:04
[SPEAKER_01]: Often with stock trades that line up with the committees, they sit on.
• 1:09
[SPEAKER_01]: Now, every year we hear the same thing, well, nothing to see here.
• 1:13
[SPEAKER_01]: No, but when you break down the data, which my guest today is done, it gets really uncomfortable for Congress.
• 1:21
[SPEAKER_01]: Joining me today is my good friend Ross Givins, Ross is a former vice president, a major Wall Street bank who would spend nearly a decade tracking congressional and corporate insider trades, legally, ethically, plain side, of course.
• 1:36
[SPEAKER_01]: And his strategy has beaten the market
• 1:38
  [SPEAKER_01]: year after year.
• 1:40
[SPEAKER_01]: He's also hosting a free live online training coming up this Thursday, January 22nd at three o'clock PM Eastern, where he's going to show you exactly how this works.
• 1:53
[SPEAKER_01]: Click the link in the description to sign up for that because he's also sending out his most recent insider trade pick for free to everyone who just registers.
• 2:02
[SPEAKER_01]: So you don't want to miss that.
• 2:06
  [SPEAKER_01]: But
• 2:06
[SPEAKER_01]: Hey, I'm always good to see you, Dr. Steve.
• 2:08
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it's always great to see you.
• 2:11
[SPEAKER_01]: Happy New Year to you, my friend.
• 2:12
  [SPEAKER_01]: Thank you.
• 2:13
  [SPEAKER_01]: Let's jump right in.
• 2:14
[SPEAKER_01]: So the 2025 congressional trading report is out.
• 2:20
[SPEAKER_01]: And, you know, I was thinking about this.
• 2:22
[SPEAKER_01]: We've known each other now.
• 2:24
  [SPEAKER_01]: What?
• 2:24
  [SPEAKER_01]: Three years or so.
• 2:26
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
• 2:26
[SPEAKER_01]: So, you know, this stuff shouldn't surprise me at this point.
• 2:30
[SPEAKER_01]: But somehow, I'm always still shocked when you show us the numbers.
• 2:35
[SPEAKER_01]: Fill everybody in here, what happened last year?
• 2:40
[SPEAKER_02]: Well, the short version is this, it's the same movie just another year, right?
• 2:43
[SPEAKER_02]: Once again, as you said, members of Congress beat the market while in office, and many of them did it with trades that raised some very serious eyebrows.
• 2:52
[SPEAKER_02]: And so, as you said earlier, they didn't just beat the market by a little bit.
• 2:57
[SPEAKER_02]: Members of Congress saw average gains, average.
• 3:00
[SPEAKER_02]: of just over 33 percent last year.
• 3:03
[SPEAKER_02]: And I want to put that number in perspective for your viewers first.
• 3:07
[SPEAKER_02]: Now, the stock market had a great year.
• 3:09
  [SPEAKER_02]: S&P went up like 16 and a half, 17 percent, okay?
• 3:13
  [SPEAKER_02]: Congress achieved double that.
• 3:15
[SPEAKER_02]: Now, professional fund managers struggle to beat the index each year.
• 3:21
[SPEAKER_02]: We got Senators generating 100% alpha.
• 3:23
[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, just really incredible to have such talented stock pickers up there in DC.
• 3:29
  [SPEAKER_02]: I guess.
• 3:29
  [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, right.
• 3:30
[SPEAKER_01]: So even in a strong market.
• 3:32
[SPEAKER_01]: Nevertheless, they still, they didn't just beat the index.
• 3:36
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, they crushed it.
• 3:37
  [SPEAKER_02]: They did even better.
• 3:38
  [SPEAKER_02]: Right.
• 3:38
  [SPEAKER_02]: Exactly.
• 3:39
[SPEAKER_02]: And they look that's impressive or suspicious to depending on how charitable you're feeling and what core I want.
• 3:45
  [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
• 3:45
[SPEAKER_01]: But walk us, I mean, you're an expert at all this.
• 3:49
[SPEAKER_01]: Walk us through the data.
• 3:51
  [SPEAKER_01]: What do you see?
• 3:51
[SPEAKER_01]: Because this wasn't just one or two lucky trades.
• 3:55
[SPEAKER_01]: No, you're not at all.
• 3:56
  [SPEAKER_01]: It's a bit of a pattern here, right?
• 3:58
  [SPEAKER_02]: Right.
• 3:58
  [SPEAKER_02]: Right.
• 3:58
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, so when you look at the portfolio's member by member stock by stock, it becomes very clear this wasn't random.
• 4:05
[SPEAKER_02]: So first of all, as I said that 33% figures just to average, that means some did a little better, some did a lot better.
• 4:11
[SPEAKER_02]: Warren Davidson, for example, had a 78% return.
• 4:15
  [SPEAKER_02]: 78%.
• 4:17
[SPEAKER_02]: Dr. Steve, if you pull up the other image I sense you, this is, these are the annual returns of Warren Buffett's firm Berkshire Hathaway for the last 30 years.
• 4:27
[SPEAKER_02]: How many 78% annual returns do you see here?
• 4:31
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, no, no.
• 4:33
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
• 4:34
  [SPEAKER_00]: That's incredible.
• 4:35
  [SPEAKER_02]: Exactly.
• 4:35
  [SPEAKER_02]: Right.
• 4:35
[SPEAKER_02]: And look, he hasn't been in 30 years.
• 4:38
  [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
• 4:39
[SPEAKER_02]: And look, this was not isolated.
• 4:41
  [SPEAKER_02]: Right.
• 4:41
  [SPEAKER_02]: It's for Republicans.
• 4:42
  [SPEAKER_02]: It's Democrats.
• 4:43
  [SPEAKER_02]: It's junior members.
• 4:44
[SPEAKER_02]: It's the veteran swamp rats all getting just insane returns in a stock market.
• 4:50
[SPEAKER_02]: And you know, Nancy Pelosi's trades.
• 4:52
[SPEAKER_02]: We talk about those all the time.
• 4:54
[SPEAKER_02]: We'll really miss her here in the investment community.
• 4:56
[SPEAKER_02]: But those get the most attention.
• 4:58
[SPEAKER_02]: But but they're really all
• 4:59
[SPEAKER_01]: and what are they actually buying and is this I mean you're saying they're all just so this isn't specifically necessarily a democrat tactic is it is it prevalent more in one party than the other well the good news is this republicans to see it seem to be a little bit better at it if that matters if you look at this chart here if we break it down by party republicans average
• 5:28
[SPEAKER_02]: We're better at them and everything we do, I guess.
• 5:31
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, not just tax policy, immigration and common sense.
• 5:34
[SPEAKER_02]: Turns out we're better inside of traders, too.
• 5:37
[SPEAKER_02]: So you asked what they're buying, look, look, look, now again, somebody's guys just own boring stuff.
• 5:41
[SPEAKER_02]: Bonds, index funds, whatever, but you don't make 50, 60, 70% annual returns with index funds.
• 5:48
  [SPEAKER_02]: Right.
• 5:49
[SPEAKER_02]: That comes from what I call these outlier investments, the special ones, right?
• 5:54
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, yeah, you mentioned that before, let's talk about those because I, I don't think everyone fully understands how this notion of outlier works.
• 6:03
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, so I mean, here's the basic concept of what happens.
• 6:05
  [SPEAKER_02]: So you're in Congress.
• 6:07
  [SPEAKER_02]: You're on a couple, let's say military subcommittees.
• 6:10
[SPEAKER_02]: These committees, as you know, were in charge of awarding these multi-billion dollar defense contracts.
• 6:15
[SPEAKER_02]: Now, some of those are going to be mobilized, lucky, right, Boeing, et cetera.
• 6:19
[SPEAKER_02]: But some are going to go to smaller companies.
• 6:22
[SPEAKER_02]: And when that contract is announced, it means this little company is going to make hundreds of millions of dollars.
• 6:28
[SPEAKER_02]: And that company's stock is going to skyrocket on the news.
• 6:33
[SPEAKER_02]: Well, if you knew about that deal in advance, you could buy the company stock and make your fortune and that's essentially what they do.
• 6:41
[SPEAKER_02]: They take the information, they learn in Congress and they use it to make money for themselves in a stock market.
• 6:47
[SPEAKER_02]: Now, the most important part and the reason isn't really angry me, all this is public information.
• 6:53
  [SPEAKER_02]: Okay, right.
• 6:54
  [SPEAKER_02]: And that's why there's training events.
• 6:56
[SPEAKER_02]: You can see what stocks these people are buying and follow along.
• 6:59
  [SPEAKER_02]: But here's a great example.
• 7:00
[SPEAKER_02]: Now, this is a trade for representative Susie Lee.
• 7:03
[SPEAKER_02]: This is a periodic transaction report.
• 7:05
[SPEAKER_02]: This is what they have to file any time they buy or sell a stock.
• 7:08
[SPEAKER_02]: And again, you can see this stuff for free online.
• 7:11
[SPEAKER_02]: I'll show you how to do it.
• 7:13
[SPEAKER_02]: So Susie Lee is only House Appropriations Committee and the Defense Subcommittee.
• 7:18
[SPEAKER_02]: Now these are the groups that decide who gets money and how much they get.
• 7:21
[SPEAKER_02]: Now, look at what stock she bought.
• 7:24
[SPEAKER_02]: This is last year, Ryan Matoll.
• 7:28
  [SPEAKER_02]: What is Ryan Matole?
• 7:29
[SPEAKER_02]: Well, it's a little off the radar.
• 7:31
[SPEAKER_02]: German arms manufacture does have that German sound.
• 7:35
  [SPEAKER_00]: Right.
• 7:36
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
• 7:36
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
• 7:36
[SPEAKER_02]: So this woman buys one stock.
• 7:39
[SPEAKER_02]: It's the first stock she's bought like two years.
• 7:41
  [SPEAKER_02]: Only gets one.
• 7:42
[SPEAKER_02]: Not Google, not Apple, not Nvidia.
• 7:45
  [SPEAKER_02]: Any Ryan Matole.
• 7:47
[SPEAKER_02]: Kind of an odd pick, right?
• 7:50
[SPEAKER_02]: Here's what that stock did over the next 10 months.
• 7:55
[SPEAKER_01]: Dang, dude, and what you were pointing out would so fascinating, you said anyone can see this.
• 8:04
[SPEAKER_02]: Oh yeah, no, it's all public record.
• 8:06
[SPEAKER_02]: Do they make it easy?
• 8:07
[SPEAKER_02]: No, but there is an individual website.
• 8:10
[SPEAKER_02]: You can access 24, 7 online, see this stuff.
• 8:13
[SPEAKER_02]: You just have to know where to look.
• 8:15
[SPEAKER_02]: And that's, again, why hold these free training sessions, to show people how to piggyback these trades by the same stocks at the same time,
• 8:24
[SPEAKER_01]: Right, and make sure gang, you can just register by clicking on the link below.
• 8:28
[SPEAKER_01]: I've been across as trainings.
• 8:30
[SPEAKER_01]: They're absolutely amazing and illuminating for sure.
• 8:33
[SPEAKER_01]: So people overseeing national security bought stock in a company that directly benefits from national security contracts, which is, I mean, it seems to me that's obviously a huge conflict of interest.
• 8:48
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, yeah, right, it seems a little bit.
• 8:52
[SPEAKER_02]: And look, you know, this wasn't an isolated case.
• 8:54
[SPEAKER_02]: We saw numerous committee level overlap between legislation and oversight and their stock purchases.
• 9:01
[SPEAKER_02]: And it's really not even a secret anymore.
• 9:04
[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I think at this point, everyone knows this stuff is taking place.
• 9:07
  [SPEAKER_02]: All right.
• 9:08
  [SPEAKER_02]: Nancy been doing this.
• 9:09
[SPEAKER_02]: She did it since 08, if I $200 million trading stocks all in office, she didn't have a single penalty.
• 9:15
  [SPEAKER_02]: There's no prosecutions.
• 9:17
[SPEAKER_02]: They're not going to stop and why would they?
• 9:20
  [SPEAKER_02]: Right.
• 9:21
[SPEAKER_02]: There are, you know, there's zero consequences.
• 9:24
[SPEAKER_02]: Have any, we've talked about this.
• 9:25
[SPEAKER_02]: How many deals are you and I talked about that have come up proposals to ban Congress from owning stocks?
• 9:31
  [SPEAKER_02]: I think there's a new one.
• 9:31
[SPEAKER_02]: I heard about last week was at least three or four since I know.
• 9:35
  [SPEAKER_01]: Right.
• 9:35
  [SPEAKER_02]: Right.
• 9:36
[SPEAKER_02]: Not of a past down.
• 9:37
[SPEAKER_02]: most never even got voted on.
• 9:39
[SPEAKER_02]: And so, you know, the only silver lining to all of this is again, that you can follow along, you can buy the same stocks they're buying, use their information for your own advantage and without ever break a single law.
• 9:52
[SPEAKER_02]: And if you know how to fill to it properly, you
• 9:54
[SPEAKER_02]: which I'll show you how to do on Thursday and a free training event, right?
• 9:57
[SPEAKER_02]: Had to see these true outliers, not the guy that buys us stock 10 times a week is getting in Google who cares.
• 10:04
[SPEAKER_02]: This woman who hasn't bought us stock in two years, it's buying a small cap German arms manufacturer.
• 10:09
  [SPEAKER_02]: That may be something.
• 10:10
[SPEAKER_02]: If you've got five or 10 of them all buying it once, if they're buying two, three, four time through annual salary, just really common since stuff.
• 10:19
[SPEAKER_02]: And if you know what to look for, you can find.
• 10:23
  [SPEAKER_02]: C. E. O.
• 10:25
  [SPEAKER_02]: Right.
• 10:25
[SPEAKER_02]: Vice President, every huge, yeah, every C sweet executive at every publicly traded company from Apple to Bob's bait and tackle has to report their trades publicly.
• 10:37
[SPEAKER_02]: And we can see these situations were inside of her loading up.
• 10:41
[SPEAKER_02]: on a pharmaceutical stock right before drug trials are about to be released or before someone buys them out for a huge premium.
• 10:48
  [SPEAKER_02]: It's it's just a massive advantage they have.
• 10:51
  [SPEAKER_02]: Right.
• 10:51
  [SPEAKER_02]: It's a massive advantage.
• 10:52
[SPEAKER_02]: We have to follow them.
• 10:54
[SPEAKER_02]: They're just feeding the public inside tips if you know where to look at anyone in my opinion, not using this.
• 11:01
[SPEAKER_02]: It is missing out a potentially huge profits.
• 11:04
[SPEAKER_01]: if you know where to look.
• 11:05
  [SPEAKER_01]: That's what I, and that's it.
• 11:07
[SPEAKER_01]: You're the one who's helping us on this Easter egg hunt for sure.
• 11:10
  [SPEAKER_02]: That's a really good, good, yeah.
• 11:12
[SPEAKER_01]: That's what I love what what you do, helping people use this DC corruption for their own benefit, but totally legally and ethically.
• 11:21
