- 0:02Hello and welcome to He's Hot, but something is off.
- 0:07OK, I put a message up on my Patreon yesterday on Wednesday.
- 0:14It was a a public message. It was not behind the paywall.
- 0:18Just to let everybody know, this episode that you're listening to
- 0:22right now will be slightly delayed.
- 0:24I usually record these on the Wednesday and post these.
- 0:29I schedule it to post Thursday at midnight Pacific Time.
- 0:34So sometime on Wednesday I record, I upload, and I schedule
- 0:39it to like release itself at midnight so that technically it
- 0:44comes out Thursday everywhere. But yesterday I was really busy.
- 0:48I just got really good flow editing this YouTube video and
- 0:52the YouTube video. I thought it would take me until
- 0:55maybe like this morning, but I managed to get it completely
- 0:58done last night around like 9:00 PM and it's up now.
- 1:02It is a very comprehensive tour, honestly, if I do say so myself.
- 1:07Very comprehensive tour of the Virgin Voyages, cruise ships,
- 1:12everything except for, I tell you guys a little T on it.
- 1:17Everything except for the cabins.
- 1:20It's just like the amenities like the public spaces.
- 1:24There's actually one amenity that I was not able to film even
- 1:30though I had four hours this past Monday to go on to the
- 1:35brilliant lady and basically had free ring over count of the ship
- 1:39because they opened it up for that's like special event
- 1:41including for their travel advisors.
- 1:42And that's why I was on the ship on Monday in LA.
- 1:44The ship didn't go anywhere. It was just like sitting at the
- 1:46dock, but they had every single type of room available for you
- 1:53for for people to just tour, especially for like the travel
- 1:55agents. They're like other people on it
- 1:57and they were just there to like celebrate.
- 1:58They were. They didn't really need to tour
- 1:59the rooms, but they had at least one of every single type and
- 2:03category of room, including every single one of the suites.
- 2:06There are way more different types of suites.
- 2:08I think there's about 10 or 12 different types of suites on the
- 2:11Virgin ships. For the regular rooms, there's
- 2:13only I think 5 or 6 variations, but I actually didn't tour the
- 2:18suites. So the video did not include any
- 2:22of the rooms, even though I did take some footage of the rooms
- 2:26that I did tour, like the mainstream regular type of rooms
- 2:30that most people would book, not the suites.
- 2:32But there was one public amenity that was not a cabin that didn't
- 2:39make it and that I forgot the name of it, but it's there's a
- 2:42Mani Petty place on board the ship.
- 2:45And I did try to find it, but I got like a little bit lost.
- 2:49It was like in a corner of one of the upper decks.
- 2:52I didn't mention it in the video that I didn't get any footage of
- 2:56it. However, I'm going to be back on
- 2:57the ship in barely a week because I'm going to be going on
- 3:00to the Atlanta sailing that's on that same ship.
- 3:02So I will make it a thing to grab that footage of the Manny
- 3:09Petty place and then I'll just revise the video and upload it
- 3:12again. But I was like, I don't want to
- 3:13hold up the whole video for the Manny Petty place.
- 3:16I've never had a Manny Petty before, actually.
- 3:20Anyways, that's why this episode, you'll see the two went
- 3:23up just a little bit. I mean, it's still going up on
- 3:25Thursday. Like, are you guys paying me for
- 3:27this by the way? So you don't get to complain.
- 3:30You're not paying for something. Anyways, quick, quick sidebar
- 3:34before we continue with the rest of this episode.
- 3:39Someone came for me this week. That's all I'm going to say.
- 3:46Well, the other thing I'm going to say about it is the T will be
- 3:49spilled on that in this week's Uncut, which is only for Patreon
- 3:55subscribers. It's going to come out Sunday.
- 3:57Ever recorded it? But the TA scolding hot T will
- 4:02only be for my Patreon lemons into lemonade.
- 4:08I'm going to monetize it. So I'm not going to just well, I
- 4:13was up. I was upset by it for sure, but
- 4:16I try my best to like flip it around, used it to light a fire
- 4:20under my ass, and we're going to have a tell wall on uncut.
- 4:26So you're thinking about joining my Patreon.
- 4:28Now is a great time. You know, I was just thinking
- 4:30the $3 entry level tier on Patreon, it gets you every
- 4:35single uncut episode that has ever been released.
- 4:38So for just $3, you'll get one month access to every single
- 4:44uncut episode. You the last time you went to
- 4:47dinner, the tip you paid for dinner was probably much more
- 4:51than $3. Think of it that way.
- 4:53So if you're already listening to this podcast, the free one on
- 4:57Thursday that goes public on YouTube or wherever it is, if
- 5:01you're a regular listener, like Spare, like there's probably 3
- 5:04bucks under your couch. There's there's probably more
- 5:07than $3 under your couch. Look, find $3 under your couch.
- 5:12Subscribe to my Patreon and get the scalding hot tea for this
- 5:17weekend's uncut episode because I'm going to be unhinged for
- 5:20that uncut. I need to vent and I'm going to
- 5:25vent on uncut. So maybe it's one that you don't
- 5:27want to miss. Yeah.
- 5:29Lemons into lemonade. I'm going to.
- 5:31I'm going to monetize it. I think that's what content
- 5:34creators would do. Something bad happens to them,
- 5:37don't dwell on it and just like, feel shitty about it, let's
- 5:40monetize it. That's a very content creator
- 5:42and influencer thing to do, isn't it?
- 5:45That's all I'm going to say with I'm not going to air dirty
- 5:47laundry out in public, but I will air it out for all my
- 5:52paying paying Patreon subscribers.
- 5:55I was going to say you guys paid good money for it, but you're
- 5:57just scraping the $3 out at the bottom of your couch.
- 6:01I mean I guess someone earned that money.
- 6:03Maybe it wasn't you, maybe it's a friend that visited a year ago
- 6:05that dropped some spare change into your couch anyway, so stay
- 6:10tuned for that. Anyways, I have been, I just
- 6:14literally came from the gym. I'm literally in still my gym
- 6:17tank and gym shorts. I literally just got home,
- 6:19stopped by the grocery store after the gym.
- 6:22There's there's good meat. There's some, there's some
- 6:26pretty like, I mean, I was going to say tasty meat, but I've only
- 6:30been checking out visually. I mean, sometimes guys look hot,
- 6:34but they're horrible in bed. All the hottest.
- 6:37Well, I was going to say all the hottest guys I've hooked up
- 6:40with, like most of them are not great in bed.
- 6:48If there happened, there happened some hot guys that I've
- 6:50hooked up with that were like amazing a bit, but that's like
- 6:54the exception. That's not the norm though.
- 6:57Anyway, it's just good eye candy at the gym.
- 7:01You know, there is, I'll tell you guys about two of the guys
- 7:05that I see all the time at the gym.
- 7:07These two guys are actually, they were at the Crunch.
- 7:10They were regulars at the Crunch.
- 7:12So I saw them all the time at Crunch and they are at the EOS
- 7:17now. And I don't know, I was going to
- 7:20think about, Oh, maybe I should save this for uncut.
- 7:21I'll let you guys, I'd like let you have the free listeners have
- 7:23a little bit OK, the the the scolding team would be for
- 7:27uncut, but I can let you guys have a little bit of the fun.
- 7:30So one of them that they always worked out together.
- 7:33They're always there together. I can't tell if they are like
- 7:38best buds, like really good friends.
- 7:40They're like gym buddies or if they are like partners.
- 7:44I'm pretty sure they're gay. The, the, the Gator.
- 7:46The Gator. I think it's pretty reliable for
- 7:48that. So there is like a black guy and
- 7:49a white guy just in my head, I'm not trying to be racist, but
- 7:52it's like, it's like the the black and white guy that comes
- 7:56into the, I don't know their names.
- 7:58I need some way in my head to like, describe them like, you
- 8:01know, like you can call me like the token Asian guy that comes
- 8:04into the gym. Like that's fine.
- 8:05I'm OK with that. But yeah, they they are also at
- 8:09this new gym. I'm seeing quite a few people
- 8:13from the crunch like unsurprisingly, when the gym
- 8:15closes down the area, the Jim Merkler's have to go some Rose.
- 8:19So quite a few of them, except for my old gym ex-boyfriend.
- 8:24I've I've never seen him anymore.
- 8:25So I don't think he's he goes to this EOS.
- 8:28But this couple are these like 2 like gym buddy friends,
- 8:32whatever. They're at the EOS right now.
- 8:36They, you know, sometimes you get the feeling like they're
- 8:43like you're being checked out at the gym, not as if someone wants
- 8:46to like fuck you, but like, I do like you just naturally, I just
- 8:53naturally check out guys at the gym.
- 8:55I just naturally check out people at the gym.
- 8:57You see someone that's in the gym, they look kind of
- 8:59attractive. You steal glances.
- 9:01Doesn't mean that you want to have anything to do with them.
- 9:04Doesn't mean you want to like literally fuck them, but I I get
- 9:08kind of sort of that vibe from them.
- 9:11But The thing is that can very easily go South because I feel
- 9:15like so many gay, I don't tray guys don't listen to this, so we
- 9:19have no point of reference. But I feel like gay guys that go
- 9:21to a gym, they've gone very good at stealing glances at other
- 9:26guys they're checking out, but like the vast majority of them
- 9:30have gone very good at being very sly.
- 9:31It's like, was it someone that just happened to have glanced
- 9:35your direction for like a split second when they were walking by
- 9:39because that happens in normal life, or was that person
- 9:41stealing a glance? Hey, I do that same thing too.
- 9:45Come on. You guys all do it.
- 9:46Like it doesn't have to be at the gym.
- 9:48It could be like anywhere that you go, supermarket, coffee
- 9:52shop, like wherever you go, like you, you know, if you see
- 9:56someone like in the vicinity of you that catches your eye
- 10:00because they are, you find them physically attractive.
- 10:02Like you're going to look OK. It's human nature.
- 10:05It's normal. It's OK.
- 10:06I feel like with them though, they are, they're not trying to
- 10:11like they are stealing glasses at me, but like they are very
- 10:15good at not making it obvious. But I, I checked them out too.
- 10:21It's interesting. I find them both attractive and
- 10:25like physically attractive in like different ways because the
- 10:29black guy, he's like pretty muscular.
- 10:31He's like pretty built. I was doing squats today and he
- 10:34happened to be doing also squats a few stations away and what he
- 10:41was squatting a lot. Well, he's a bigger guy than me.
- 10:44So he was squatting like, you know, another like, I don't
- 10:46know, 70 or 80 lbs more than me, but like he made it look like
- 10:50pretty easy. I'm like, I don't know, I, I,
- 10:53I'm not a, a big chunky guy. I don't have like a lot of
- 10:57muscles. Like I'm, I'm more like trim.
- 10:59But you know, squats. I don't go super, super heavy
- 11:04because I have had some like back issues, not like an injury,
- 11:08but like I've had some like minor like back issues and some
- 11:11knee issues before doing stuff like squats.
- 11:15So I'm just like extra careful and I go like extra slow.
- 11:20Just make sure that my form is not like off whack just to like
- 11:24get the Rep done. Because I went to physical
- 11:27therapy last year, several sessions because my lower back
- 11:32was, it wasn't like painful, wasn't like a major injury, but
- 11:36like the muscles were just like something was like a little bit
- 11:39off. So I went to quite a few PT
- 11:41sessions last year. Yeah.
- 11:43But he, yeah, the black guy's like a bigger guy, pretty
- 11:46attractive. One time, One time he, we were
- 11:51at the old gym and Crunch and I was doing lat pull downs and he
- 11:54happened to have just like walked right beside me.
- 11:57And then he like looked me right in the eye.
- 11:59But like, you know, it's, it's, I feel like all the gays do it.
- 12:02They're, they're pretty attractive.
- 12:03I can totally believe that they are like a couple.
- 12:08But at the gym, like I I just can't tell.
- 12:09They do seem like very friendly guys.
- 12:11You know what I think I have said before, I just want to go
- 12:16to the gym and not to socialize. Like I just want to go to the
- 12:19gym, pick everything up, put them down, repeat and go.
- 12:25Generally that has not changed. But this new gym, because
- 12:30there's so many more people and it's so much bigger, it makes
- 12:32the old crunch seem like a bit deserted actually is not quite
- 12:37at the level where it's annoying how many people that are in
- 12:41there. But I go at like today I went at
- 12:4310 AM, I was like there were 10 to 12 basically.
- 12:47And if I go in the afternoon, I go at like 2-2 to 330, something
- 12:52like that. So I go when it's not busy.
- 12:55If I went in the morning or I went at like 6, like no, like it
- 12:59would just be too crowded. But I think I wouldn't mind like
- 13:05knowing like some people making small talk, having some like gym
- 13:08people that like I know, which I didn't get.
- 13:13I didn't really care about that when I was the crunch.
- 13:16But for some reason at this gym I was like, oh, that That's like
- 13:19not that wouldn't be like a horrible idea.
- 13:22I don't know. I have gotten the note before
- 13:24that I do look pretty standoffish because people have
- 13:29multiple people have told me. I believe it when you're
- 13:32watching me on this podcast on YouTube or whatever and I look
- 13:37super happy, super upbeat, I look super friendly like I'm I'm
- 13:41a super people person that is only on camera.
- 13:47I've gone, I make I can't tell you how many videos I've
- 13:51produced in my life. I've produced thousands of
- 13:54videos like even just a podcast. I can't go 3 podcasts a week.
- 13:58This one, there's uncut and there's gay crews and travel
- 14:01podcast. That's just a video podcast.
- 14:03I'm going to start a podcasting like a couple years ago.
- 14:06All the YouTube videos, there's a ton of videos I've uploaded to
- 14:10my YouTube from over a decade ago that I've I've hidden them
- 14:15all. I've told the story before.
- 14:17Just in case you're newer to gesture ET and newer to the
- 14:20podcast. I started my YouTube 20.
- 14:24It was 2013 and of 2013 and I started as literally like a
- 14:31vlog, like a diary style vlog. I would just do, I would just
- 14:35film things I was doing in my regular life.
- 14:38And I started putting out two vlogs a week.
- 14:43And in 2013, the camera technology was not as good.
- 14:50You know, no one had like the computers were nowhere near as
- 14:53powerful as today. Video editing was not something
- 14:56you did on your phone. You had to have like a laptop.
- 14:59I didn't even film most of the stuff back then with my phone,
- 15:05whatever phone I had before phones that we did have like
- 15:07smartphones and iPhones and Androids and everything.
- 15:09And they all had cameras. But like I actually got a
- 15:12literal Canon little pocket porn and shoot camera for like the
- 15:16video quality basically. Even then the video quality was
- 15:19not that good. But all those videos actually
- 15:22have been hidden now because I think it was just before the
- 15:26pandemic or like something, something around like 5 or 6
- 15:31years ago, I decided to focus the YouTube channel more on all
- 15:35my travel content, which I didn't start making until like
- 15:402015, 2016. That's when I started travelling
- 15:43and going to some of these parties and knowing more like
- 15:46friends at the time that did all these trips.
- 15:50And these all did all these events and I was vlogging them
- 15:53those events because I was just vlogging my regular daily life.
- 15:57And when I take a trip, I would vlog it as part of that.
- 16:00It's not like now when I go on a cruise and I have this like big
- 16:03production. So, yeah, the, the, the purpose
- 16:09and the, the type of content that's on a channel has really
- 16:14evolved like a lot over the I guess it's like 13 years since
- 16:20I've since I've started the YouTube channel anyways.
- 16:22But what you see on YouTube and what you see on camera and I'm
- 16:26like this, I look like a very social person.
- 16:29I look like an extrovert in person.
- 16:32I'm not like, especially at the gym because I'm, I'm the primary
- 16:36purpose for me being at the gym is just to like work out.
- 16:41If they're like, if there's like some stunningly hot guy, yeah,
- 16:44I'm going to, I'm going to be checking him out.
- 16:46But I also don't want to do this thing where like you're staring
- 16:51at someone and it's awkward because that's creepy.
- 16:55And you know, anyways, Speaking of that, there was yesterday
- 16:59with the gym yesterday on on Wednesday.
- 17:03And I just got there, went into the locker room, putting my bag
- 17:08away. There was just like super hot
- 17:10guy just in the towel. And like we exchanged a few
- 17:13glasses. I mean, it's, it's nothing.
- 17:15It's it's harmless. It's harmless.
- 17:17But he had like just gone out of the steam room or something.
- 17:19So he was like all wet and he was like had like that dark tent
- 17:23olive skin that I like. And he had like a six pack and
- 17:26everything. So you know what I think I
- 17:28probably will say for this jam, I'm on the free trial right now.
- 17:33And a few a couple episodes ago I talked about how when I went
- 17:37there the first time, they gave me a tour and they did the car
- 17:41salesman sales pitch and all that stuff, blah, blah, blah,
- 17:44blah, blah. So but I probably will sign up
- 17:45for this. There's no better alternative.
- 17:47That's like right at this price point that where, you know,
- 17:52that's like, yeah, it's, it's kind of sort of the only option
- 17:55that's like in this general area.
- 17:57That's that's, that's for like that price that has, you know,
- 18:01like a gym set up that I'm like, OK with or that I like the fact
- 18:05that there's good eye candy here.
- 18:07I mean, there's more eye candy here than there was at the
- 18:08crunch just because there's like way more people that go to this
- 18:12way larger gym, right. But I'm OK with the eye candy.
- 18:15You know, like I wouldn't, I wouldn't.
- 18:17One day I might have the nerve and the courage to just like go
- 18:21up to like the black and white couple and just like say hi,
- 18:24like, but without do it in a way that doesn't make it look like
- 18:28I'm trying to hit on them because I, I don't think I want
- 18:32to hit on anyone that's like at the gym And I don't want to make
- 18:35it awkward because like I see them all the time.
- 18:37So like we're both gym regulars again.
- 18:39I don't, I don't ever like to make, I don't like to like shit
- 18:44where I eat or sleep or whatever.
- 18:47So it's, I feel like it's so awkward to hit on someone at the
- 18:50gym unless you're getting such clear signals that that person's
- 18:54into you and you also happen to be into them.
- 18:58I mean, yes, yeah. I, I, I don't, I don't get the
- 19:01vibe from these two. I don't get the vibe from these.
- 19:03I just get the vibe that like sometimes they glance over, not
- 19:07because they think I'm particularly attractive or
- 19:08anything, but it's like it's just gays checking each other
- 19:11out. That's it.
- 19:14When there's, like, a bunch, when there's like a substantial
- 19:15amount of gays in a gym, the gays, they just, the gays are
- 19:20just naturally checking other guys out.
- 19:23David Lamb, though, says he doesn't.
- 19:25David Lamb doesn't really do that, but that's what he says
- 19:27anyways. Yeah, one day I might just like,
- 19:30have enough courage or whatever to, like, go to just, like, say
- 19:32hi. But it's so awkward to, like, go
- 19:34up to someone in the gym and say hi just to say hi.
- 19:37Isn't that a little? Does that seem like a little
- 19:39weird? Anyways, maybe one day they'll
- 19:42be on a piece of cream that I want to work on.
- 19:44Then I'll like go up and ask like, oh, like how many sets do
- 19:47you have left? Which is very common, by the
- 19:49way. ANYWAYS, yeah, so the, the gym's
- 19:51going well, I, I mean, I, I'm, I'm pretty sure the people that
- 19:55I work there are not listening to my podcast.
- 19:57I know there's like 5 of you that listen.
- 19:59Yeah, but I'm probably going to assign for that gym.
- 20:01So at least that's one thing like off of my To Do List
- 20:06because it was just annoying to have to switch gyms.
- 20:10Because it's basically a chore that's been added to my list
- 20:15when I'm already busy enough and I didn't need something new to
- 20:20do. But I, it just seems like life
- 20:21is always like some additional chore to do.
- 20:24It's like your gym closes, you have to find a new one or like,
- 20:29oh, you need to like get the oil changed in your car.
- 20:31So it's like it's flashing the light that says like maintenance
- 20:34required or like, oh, property taxes are due or like, oh, you
- 20:39have to change like the air filter in the HVAC.
- 20:42There's always some like some additional chore that life has
- 20:47to throw at you. So this was one of those chores.
- 20:51I'm, I'm just glad that this gym worked out because if you listen
- 20:54to my podcast from a couple weeks ago, I was very like, this
- 20:57company doesn't have a good reputation.
- 21:00There's like not great reviews about this company or this
- 21:02particular gym location about things not being maintained,
- 21:04blah, blah, blah. I mean, it's, it's completely
- 21:06fine to me actually, now that I've been there for like about a
- 21:10week or so. So there you go All right, stay
- 21:13tuned for this season. Cut it.
- 21:15It's going to be something. And there's YouTube videos, like
- 21:18I said, there's that ship tour that just went up.
- 21:20I just uploaded the gay cruise facts and myths video that's
- 21:26also up there as well. Travel vlogs for my Patreon for
- 21:31the mid tier magnet members and the upper tier OPA members.
- 21:36They get all the travel vlogs. Travel vlogs for my trip on the
- 21:41Atlantis Symphony cruise in twenty 26th of February.
- 21:46That is 2 of the the 1st 2 episodes.
- 21:50It's a four part series. The 1st 2 are out.
- 21:52They're coming out every Tuesday.
- 21:53So this past Tuesday Part 2 went out.
- 21:56Parts 3 and 4 will be coming out the upcoming two weeks on the
- 22:00Tuesdays. Yeah, and there's going to be
- 22:02more travel vlogs. Obviously when I go on this
- 22:04Atlantis trip, there's going to be a travel vlog from that, the
- 22:07one that I'm going to board in barely a week.
- 22:10So yeah, there's good content up there.
- 22:12And I'm working on some additional stuff for just Joey
- 22:16Travels as well. But I'm going to save all of
- 22:18that for the gay cruise and travel podcast, which you're
- 22:22free to like follow. By the way, can you just like if
- 22:25you, if you are, even if you're not going to take a trip, you
- 22:30have no plans to like take any sort of crucification?
- 22:33Can you just follow my just Joey Travels Instagram?
- 22:36Can you just show your support that is free?
- 22:40You know what, you can subscribe to it and just mute it.
- 22:43I'm OK with that. I would just love it if I just
- 22:47got a few more followers on it. Follower counts are not what
- 22:51they are today in 2026 versus like 5 or 10 years ago when we
- 22:57when social media was a lot younger.
- 22:59OK, I know that. But it would just be nice to
- 23:03have like a few more followers because even when I look up a
- 23:06person or a company on social media, the first thing I do when
- 23:11I get into the profile, the first thing I look at is the
- 23:14follower account. Because the follower account
- 23:16still tells you a few things. It's like this person has like
- 23:1910 followers. It's like a super new account.
- 23:21Is it real? It's like a bot, you know,
- 23:23sometimes like a super fresh account that's like a bot or
- 23:25like just an impersonation account.
- 23:27It's like a fake account or something.
- 23:29Didn't have a lot of followers even though there are ways
- 23:31around that and like just the way things are set up.
- 23:34But yeah, so someone that has like, you know, a decent number
- 23:37of followers, yeah, again, it's not really as important of a
- 23:42metric. And the meaning of that metric
- 23:46does is not the same as what it was before, but still at least
- 23:49like psychologically, you know, whenever you look up someone's
- 23:52Instagram account, TikTok account, like whatever, at least
- 23:56I do it. Probably the first thing I
- 23:58looked at when I landed the account is how many followers do
- 24:00they have? So there you go.
- 24:02Yeah. So please, even if you, even if
- 24:04you're not ever going to be a client of just Joey Travis, can
- 24:06you just follow me? Like, just go just Joey Travis
- 24:09on Instagram. I also have the TikTok as well.
- 24:11Just just help me out. If you're listening this far to
- 24:15this podcast, you're clearly some sort of fan of mine.
- 24:20Yeah, just just just just give the bitch a follow, OK?
- 24:24And until next time. Bye y'all.
