- 0:33Speaker 2: Prince Charles. He was Prince Charles for so many years.
- 0:36Speaker 2: King Charles will be coming to New York. He hasn't
- 0:40Speaker 2: been here in nineteen years. It's his first trip in
- 0:42Speaker 2: nineteen years. But he's coming to New York and he'll
- 0:44Speaker 2: be all over the place. So be careful driving. In fact,
- 0:49Speaker 2: stay away from New York City if you're driving right now.
- 0:51Speaker 2: It's going to be a traffic mess because of the security.
- 0:54Speaker 2: He'll be downtown at the nine to eleven Memorial World
- 0:58Speaker 2: Trade Center area. He'll be down there. That ceremony takes
- 1:01Speaker 2: place at about noon, eleven o'clock twelve noon. It's going
- 1:04Speaker 2: to be a traffic mess down there. Then he and
- 1:09Speaker 2: Kamala split up. She's going to go to the New
- 1:12Speaker 2: York Public Library, which is at Bryant Park. He's going
- 1:16Speaker 2: up to Harlem to look at some green something green,
- 1:21Speaker 2: this green something up there, and then in the late
- 1:25Speaker 2: afternoon they'll head to Rockefeller Center, completely snarling up Midtown
- 1:30Speaker 2: traffic with all the security. Even a little party for
- 1:33Speaker 2: them tonight at Christie's, the British auction House. So they'll
- 1:38Speaker 2: be there tonight, that's about six, seven o'clock, eight o'clock,
- 1:41Speaker 2: and then about nine o'clock they'll get the hell out
- 1:44Speaker 2: of here. They're going to Virginia tomorrow, and just beware,
- 1:49Speaker 2: it's gonna be a traffic mess all over New York
- 1:51Speaker 2: City today as a result. So you know, it's funny.
- 1:55Speaker 2: The party at the British Embassy yesterday, The party this
- 2:01Speaker 2: evening at Christie's the auction House is going to have
- 2:04Speaker 2: all the left wing liberal democratic New York d C.
- 2:08Speaker 3: Type.
- 2:08Speaker 2: They're all fawning all over the guy. What happened to
- 2:11Speaker 2: you're no kings thing too? Three weeks ago you're screaming
- 2:14Speaker 2: no kings. Now you see an actual king and you're
- 2:16Speaker 2: just slobbering all over him. But that's the way things go.
- 2:20Speaker 2: He made a wonderful speech yesterday. Nobody knows if it's wonderful.
- 2:25Speaker 2: You know, when you speak like him, everything sounds brilliant, everything,
- 2:31Speaker 2: no matter what the hell he said. It was actually
- 2:33Speaker 2: a very well written speech, but didn't have to be.
- 2:35Speaker 2: You can You can read anything. When you have that
- 2:39Speaker 2: sort of royal British accent. Everything sounds brilliant, just like
- 2:44Speaker 2: if you got one of those long island accents that
- 2:47Speaker 2: you know, how we you you could read. You could
- 2:49Speaker 2: read the Magna carta and still sounds stupid, but that
- 2:53Speaker 2: actually just sounds great.
- 2:54Speaker 4: The challenges we face are too great for anyone nation
- 2:57Speaker 4: to bear alone.
- 2:59Speaker 2: But see the way he does that. To bear alone
- 3:03Speaker 2: you have to like bend and twist the word. You
- 3:05Speaker 2: can't just say to bear alone. You gotta twist the
- 3:08Speaker 2: word up to bear alone.
- 3:11Speaker 4: The challenges we face are too great for anyone nation
- 3:14Speaker 4: to bear alone. But in this unpredictable environment, our alliance
- 3:20Speaker 4: cannot rest on past achievements or assume the foundational principles.
- 3:26Speaker 4: Simply endure. As my Prime Minister said last month, ours
- 3:33Speaker 4: is an indust all right.
- 3:34Speaker 2: I'm dozing off already now, he sounds brilliant, he sounds.
- 3:38Speaker 2: It's great to speak like that, you know, but it
- 3:39Speaker 2: doesn't work. And you know, if you got into a
- 3:41Speaker 2: road rage with somebody, you roll down the window. You
- 3:44Speaker 2: got to be able to curse and scream. You can't go.
- 3:46Speaker 2: I'd rather you didn't do the principal partnership.
- 3:51Speaker 4: We must not disregard everything that has sustained.
- 3:54Speaker 2: Us for the loan. Now, look how brilliant that guy sounds.
- 3:57Speaker 2: We must not disregard what is stained this. I don't
- 4:00Speaker 2: know what the hell that means. Who knows what the
- 4:02Speaker 2: hell he's saying, but it sounds brilliant.
- 4:04Speaker 3: The last eighty years.
- 4:06Speaker 4: Instead, we must build on it.
- 4:09Speaker 2: There you go. So this went on. By the way,
- 4:12Speaker 2: while he's speaking in Congress, Pelosi Schumer Hakeem Jeffries stood
- 4:17Speaker 2: giving him a standing ovation, cheering. These are the no
- 4:21Speaker 2: kings people, This is an actual king. They're given a
- 4:23Speaker 2: standing ovation.
- 4:24Speaker 4: The US Supreme Court Historical Society has calculated that Magna
- 4:30Speaker 4: Carta is cited in at least one hundred and sixty
- 4:34Speaker 4: Supreme Court cases in seventeen eighty nine, not least as
- 4:40Speaker 4: the foundation of the principle that executive power is subject
- 4:44Speaker 4: to checks and balances.
- 4:49Speaker 2: Yeah, I see, they like that. So it was a
- 4:51Speaker 2: very well written and very carefully written speech. It had
- 4:55Speaker 2: stuff in it to appeal to the Republicans, it had
- 4:58Speaker 2: stuff in it to appeal to theocrats. These are congress
- 5:02Speaker 2: men and women. So he put in that checks and balances,
- 5:05Speaker 2: you know, like we need you to check and balance
- 5:08Speaker 2: the president. And there was green stuff in there. There
- 5:11Speaker 2: was not so green stuff. There was pro Iran stuff
- 5:14Speaker 2: anti Iran's very well balanced speech. Listen to that. It
- 5:24Speaker 2: was standing ovation. I guess the no kings thing is over.
- 5:28Speaker 2: Now you're going to read in Vanity Fair and all
- 5:31Speaker 2: those type of publications. How, in fact, I've already read these.
- 5:36Speaker 2: They're writing left and right. How King Charles is embarrassed
- 5:41Speaker 2: by President Trump. He found President Trump to be crude,
- 5:46Speaker 2: and he didn't understand his rambling speeches and his ranting
- 5:50Speaker 2: and raving. They'll tell you that he was quietly offended
- 5:54Speaker 2: by the President's behavior. And now if you talk to
- 5:58Speaker 2: people that are the royal experts that are connected to
- 6:01Speaker 2: the royal family, they'll tell you that King Charles loves
- 6:04Speaker 2: Donald Trump and gets quite a kick out of him.
- 6:06Speaker 2: He finds him very amusing. He likes the honesty of
- 6:09Speaker 2: the bluntness. He actually loves President Trump, so don't believe
- 6:14Speaker 2: all the vanity fair in New Yorker Atlantic Magazine articles
- 6:19Speaker 2: President Trump yesterday. My mother would be oh, yeah, you know.
- 6:23Speaker 2: He talked about his mother Mary, who when Trump was
- 6:27Speaker 2: a little kid, would watch the Royal family all the time.
- 6:29Speaker 2: She loves the Queen. She loved Prince Charles too.
- 6:32Speaker 5: My mother would be glued to the television. I also
- 6:35Speaker 5: remember her saying, very clearly, Charles, look young, Charles.
- 6:43Speaker 3: He's so cute.
- 6:45Speaker 2: He went on to say his mother had a crush
- 6:49Speaker 2: on Prince Charles. So I've actually met I had met
- 6:53Speaker 2: him as king, but I met Prince Charles a number
- 6:55Speaker 2: of times, had conversations with him. It's not the most
- 7:00Speaker 2: exciting thing in the world. He loves clothes. I actually
- 7:02Speaker 2: one conversation. That's all. We talked about. His clothes, Turnbull
- 7:05Speaker 2: and Asser German Street, all the British clothings. Outside of that,
- 7:09Speaker 2: he loves to talk about green stuff, which nobody else
- 7:12Speaker 2: wants to hear about. But he can't say anything bad
- 7:18Speaker 2: about him. He's a well But the only thing is,
- 7:20Speaker 2: you know, for all his stateliness, he's got a son
- 7:24Speaker 2: here in America who he won't speak to. The first
- 7:28Speaker 2: wife that was kind of a strange relationship forced on him, Diana.
- 7:34Speaker 2: He was always in love with Camilla. It's kind of
- 7:36Speaker 2: a nice story, you know. He's married to the hot,
- 7:40Speaker 2: effervescent Diana and wants to leave her for the old,
- 7:45Speaker 2: frumpy Camilla. It's kind of a nice story in a way,
- 7:49Speaker 2: I guess. And they've obviously been very happy to get
- 7:51Speaker 2: him so again. He'll be all over New York today.
- 7:54Speaker 2: Beware of the traffic closures and all the security. Now,
- 8:00Speaker 2: some people don't think it's a good idea to have
- 8:02Speaker 2: Mom Donnie at this ceremony. It'd be a World Trade
- 8:05Speaker 2: Center Area nine to eleven memorial ceremony, and the idea
- 8:09Speaker 2: of Mom Donni there, he's not when it came to
- 8:12Speaker 2: nine to eleven. He wasn't exactly on our side in that,
- 8:15Speaker 2: so you could argue he shouldn't be there. It's offensive,
- 8:19Speaker 2: but you can also argue it's good that he's trying
- 8:24Speaker 2: to make peace with that. Also, wasn't he one of
- 8:28Speaker 2: these no kings guys. He's a yelling and screaming no Kings.
- 8:30Speaker 2: Now he's going to be with the King. We'll see
- 8:32Speaker 2: if he actually shows up later today. Hey, the good
- 8:35Speaker 2: news is James Comy indicted again. There's an arrest warrant
- 8:39Speaker 2: out for him. When you look at the charges the seashells,
- 8:42Speaker 2: it seems kind of silly, seems kind of flimsy for
- 8:46Speaker 2: a bunch of sheet. How do you get indicted over
- 8:48Speaker 2: some seashells? But keep hearing that this is just the beginning.
- 8:53Speaker 2: Superseding indictments are coming. This is just an opening shot.
- 8:58Speaker 2: There's going to be other charges and other stuff, witnesses,
- 9:01Speaker 2: all kinds of things. Now, call me the problem with
- 9:07Speaker 2: Call me two problems. One, he's a dirty cop. He's
- 9:09Speaker 2: a very very bad guy. The Russia hoax, the crap
- 9:13Speaker 2: he pulled on President Trump. He's worse than j Edgar Hoover.
- 9:17Speaker 2: The problem with j Edgar Hoover was when he got
- 9:19Speaker 2: a new president, he would basically blackmail the guy. When
- 9:24Speaker 2: Kennedy took office or Johnson took office. When Kennedy was,
- 9:28Speaker 2: for instance, would took office, he and Bobby Kennedy, Hoover
- 9:31Speaker 2: would go meet with him and Hoover, a dirty cop
- 9:35Speaker 2: head of the FBI, had these guys tailed and followed.
- 9:38Speaker 2: And you know, he was famous for having these secret
- 9:40Speaker 2: files on everybody. So when he met with the new
- 9:43Speaker 2: young president JFK, he showed him his files. So you know,
- 9:46Speaker 2: you got you sleeping with this woman, got you having
- 9:49Speaker 2: an affair with this woman. You've been sleeping with this woman,
- 9:53Speaker 2: you had another affair with this woman. It's to intimidate
- 9:55Speaker 2: the president to not fire him, to keep him on
- 9:59Speaker 2: and to keep his and he did that with everybody. Johnson,
- 10:02Speaker 2: he would blackmail everybody basically. So Trump gets elected, brand
- 10:07Speaker 2: new to politics, and Komy did the same exact thing
- 10:11Speaker 2: to Trump. Trump got elected, Remember, as the president elect,
- 10:16Speaker 2: he was at Trump Tower having all the meetings. Everybody
- 10:20Speaker 2: would come to meet the new president elected Trump Tower.
- 10:23Speaker 2: One of the meetings was all the Justice Department guys
- 10:25Speaker 2: call me everybody else. And they met in the conference
- 10:28Speaker 2: room up there on the twenty fifth floor Trump Tower.
- 10:31Speaker 2: And when it was all over all these people, big
- 10:35Speaker 2: conference room, Comy said, man, I speak to you privately,
- 10:41Speaker 2: And Trump didn't know what it was all about. But
- 10:42Speaker 2: they went somewhere alone and Komy showed him we have
- 10:46Speaker 2: evidence of you Russia collusion. We have evidence you in
- 10:49Speaker 2: Moscow in a hotel room with hookers. And then he
- 10:55Speaker 2: got into the what they called the p tape, the urination.
- 11:00Speaker 2: I mean, he shows Trump all this and imagine none
- 11:04Speaker 2: of it's true, but imagine Trump horrified. Here's the FBI
- 11:07Speaker 2: director showing him this stuff. It's basically threatening him, and
- 11:12Speaker 2: he's just like whover. He says, now, only only we
- 11:14Speaker 2: have seen this, we have not No one else has
- 11:16Speaker 2: seen this. But it's a threat. It's a blackmail threat.
- 11:19Speaker 2: So from that day for he did he didn't fire Coombe.
- 11:22Speaker 2: He should have fired Comy immediately, but he let him
- 11:24Speaker 2: stay for a while. But from that day on, I'm
- 11:28Speaker 2: sure he never got over that Komy threatened him, tried
- 11:30Speaker 2: to blackmail him, try to intimidate him. And then Komy
- 11:33Speaker 2: he's pushing that Russia hoax with his old buddy Robert Muller.
- 11:39Speaker 2: Remember Komby had been Muller's number two in the FBI,
- 11:43Speaker 2: the Justice Department, all of that, so they were a team.
- 11:47Speaker 2: And also remember Comy's a very very very bad guy,
- 11:52Speaker 2: a real dirty cop. He's done horrible things to people,
- 11:56Speaker 2: whether they were innocent or guilty. He's not the point.
- 11:58Speaker 2: Roger Stone is a perfect Now, Roger Stone was accused
- 12:02Speaker 2: of something. It turned out he was totally innocent, but
- 12:04Speaker 2: at the time he was accused of something. But you
- 12:07Speaker 2: know roger Stone, where the Alummer hate him. Everybody has
- 12:10Speaker 2: to agree. This is the most non threatening, non violent
- 12:14Speaker 2: arrest you could ever make. He's living in Florida with
- 12:17Speaker 2: his wife. His wife is not only elderly, but she's very,
- 12:21Speaker 2: very sick as kinds of medical problems. Now, if you
- 12:24Speaker 2: had to arrest roger Stone and he has a top attorney,
- 12:28Speaker 2: you simply call the attorney and say we're going to
- 12:30Speaker 2: arrest him. He has to surrender himself at nine am
- 12:33Speaker 2: at the court had That's how it's done. Komi launched
- 12:37Speaker 2: the most awful raid on roger Stone. They deliberately did
- 12:42Speaker 2: it at four point thirty five in the morning, knowing
- 12:44Speaker 2: the wife and him they'd be asleep in bed. He
- 12:47Speaker 2: had like hundreds of armed agents with machine guns, oozzies, tanks. Literally,
- 12:52Speaker 2: he ran a Normandy invasion up the lawn of roger
- 12:55Speaker 2: Stone just to terrify him and his wife. They had
- 12:58Speaker 2: helicopters overhead in the inner coastal waterway behind the house.
- 13:02Speaker 2: They had scuba divers boats invited CNN to come along
- 13:07Speaker 2: and shoot the whole thing for television. But mister missus
- 13:12Speaker 2: stone asleep. FBI agents break down the door, come in
- 13:15Speaker 2: with machine guns, screaming, yelling, I'm amazed the wife survived this,
- 13:20Speaker 2: and they take him out and hand. I mean, it
- 13:22Speaker 2: was just ridiculous. So whatever Komi gets now, he absolutely
- 13:26Speaker 2: deserves just as payback for that one incident. So the
- 13:29Speaker 2: seashells it says eighty six forty seven, He's gonna argue
- 13:37Speaker 2: that when he grew up in the Irish tavern world,
- 13:41Speaker 2: when you said eighty six, it meant throw somebody out,
- 13:44Speaker 2: throw a customer out, eighty six and throw them out.
- 13:49Speaker 2: So all he's implying is throw out the president. Although
- 13:53Speaker 2: he could argue I meant impeach him. I meant something
- 13:56Speaker 2: like that. The problem is not going to hold up
- 14:00Speaker 2: eighty six forty seven in modern day the modern day world.
- 14:05Speaker 2: It's also taken a mean get rid of somebody. It
- 14:07Speaker 2: means all kinds of things. And if you're the you
- 14:09Speaker 2: can claim play dumb and play innocent. And I didn't
- 14:13Speaker 2: really know what it means, but get the former FBI
- 14:15Speaker 2: director you should know better. So here's Komy yesterday.
- 14:18Speaker 6: Well, they're back, this time about a picture of seashells
- 14:22Speaker 6: on a North Carolina beach.
- 14:24Speaker 3: A year ago.
- 14:26Speaker 2: Yeah, his real crime is, if you know Komy, he's
- 14:32Speaker 2: actually a big awkward guy. He's an uncomfortable stiff. He's
- 14:36Speaker 2: an awkward guy. Which is fine, that's good. If you're
- 14:40Speaker 2: the FBI director, you're the US attorney. You know you
- 14:44Speaker 2: can be awkward and stiff and very formal in a courtroom.
- 14:48Speaker 2: But if you're going to try to be a fun
- 14:51Speaker 2: influencer on Instagram, you're going to try to do fun,
- 14:54Speaker 2: kooky Instagram stuff. A big awkward clutch of a guy
- 14:57Speaker 2: can't do it. He won't know how to do it.
- 14:59Speaker 2: And it's not just the seashells. Through the couple of
- 15:03Speaker 2: years he was doing this, he put out some of
- 15:04Speaker 2: the most embarrassing cringe videos. Everybody would cringe at the
- 15:09Speaker 2: stuff he put up, thinking he was cute or funny,
- 15:11Speaker 2: these ridiculous videos of himself. So I think that's where
- 15:14Speaker 2: I've got the problems. This is Kobe's lawyer.
- 15:17Speaker 3: This president is so spiteful and vengeful.
- 15:20Speaker 5: He's determined to put people through suffering, political suffering as
- 15:24Speaker 5: much as possible.
- 15:25Speaker 2: Yeah, you can see you could argue that the problem
- 15:27Speaker 2: is nobody ever did that more than Komy to people
- 15:30Speaker 2: that didn't deserve it. Komy terrified and terrorized and tortured
- 15:34Speaker 2: people with those raids on their house over little silly things.
- 15:39Speaker 2: So nobody deserves this more than Komy. Here's Cash Battel.
- 15:42Speaker 7: James Comy allegedly threatened the life of the President of
- 15:46Speaker 7: the United States, and as you all now know, shortly
- 15:49Speaker 7: after posting that threat, he deleted that threat and then
- 15:53Speaker 7: issued an apology.
- 15:55Speaker 2: Yeah, the problem is cash Battel. Cash Btel doesn't sound
- 15:59Speaker 2: tough enough the FBI director. That's one thing about call me.
- 16:03Speaker 2: He's like a big, lurch looking guy. You know, looks
- 16:06Speaker 2: like he could haunt the house and Cash Battalion when
- 16:09Speaker 2: he Cash battellit, he always looks like the it guy
- 16:11Speaker 2: that came in to fix your computer. He never doesn't
- 16:13Speaker 2: fit the right, as Trump would say, He's not from
- 16:15Speaker 2: Central Casting Todd Blanche. Now he looks like an FBI director.
- 16:18Speaker 8: Including one where the defendant pled guilty recently to threatening
- 16:22Speaker 8: former President Biden, another one that's scheduled to go to
- 16:25Speaker 8: trial this summer. Another one indicted an individual was divided
- 16:30Speaker 8: was indicted for threatening Tom Homan.
- 16:33Speaker 2: Yeah. Now again it seems silly, the seashell thing. But
- 16:37Speaker 2: I keep hearing there's other stuff coming, There's other charges coming.
- 16:41Speaker 2: There's going to be more to this indictment. So well,
- 16:44Speaker 2: we'll see. Hey, we'll take some calls next. Eight hundred
- 16:47Speaker 2: three two one zero seven ten is the number eight
- 16:51Speaker 2: hundred three to two one zero seven ten.
- 16:55Speaker 1: Mister New York MARXIMONEI.
- 17:02Speaker 2: Hey, let's take some calls. Let's go to uh, let's
- 17:05Speaker 2: go to Blauvelt in Florida. Blauvelt, how you.
- 17:08Speaker 9: Doing, Mark Samoon, Sir, you are the best.
- 17:12Speaker 2: Well, I'd have to agree with that, you know, go ahead,
- 17:16Speaker 2: all right?
- 17:16Speaker 9: So I question do you think this this negotiations that
- 17:22Speaker 9: are always falling apart because the Revolutionary Guard is living
- 17:26Speaker 9: paycheck to paycheck and the Mulla's got all their money
- 17:29Speaker 9: off shore, so they want to settle to keep their
- 17:31Speaker 9: money and the republic Guards.
- 17:34Speaker 2: That's no, it's it's more than that. No, it's just
- 17:38Speaker 2: the this is the way Iran is. They lose every
- 17:41Speaker 2: war and as they say, win every negotiation because they
- 17:43Speaker 2: just never ever, ever, ever ever give in. This is different, though,
- 17:46Speaker 2: because we have not only taken away their military. But
- 17:49Speaker 2: right now they are total Their economy is totally shut off.
- 17:53Speaker 2: The straits of horn Moose closed. They have no economy.
- 17:55Speaker 2: There's absolutely no revenue coming in without the straits of
- 17:58Speaker 2: Horne Moose. So they got enough money to go a
- 18:01Speaker 2: few more weeks and then they're totally out of cash.
- 18:06Speaker 2: They can't make the payroll. Also, people citizens of Iran
- 18:10Speaker 2: starving to death. They're having a shortage of everything, bread, everything. Now,
- 18:15Speaker 2: you're right, they do have some of those higher ups
- 18:17Speaker 2: have a lot of money stashed away in foreign banks.
- 18:20Speaker 2: We can we haven't done this yet. We can seize
- 18:24Speaker 2: all our funds, freeze all those bank accounts. That's possible
- 18:30Speaker 2: to do. We haven't done that yet. Maybe Donald Trump
- 18:34Speaker 2: would be a little hesitant to do that because he's
- 18:37Speaker 2: been debanked himself, so he might be a little touchy
- 18:39Speaker 2: about that stuff. Let's go to John in Long Beach. John,
- 18:43Speaker 2: how you doing.
- 18:44Speaker 10: I'm doing very well.
- 18:47Speaker 3: Yes.
- 18:47Speaker 10: My friend Guido called me, laughing histerically, and he asked me,
- 18:53Speaker 10: who's that a wool? I said, what are you talking about?
- 18:57Speaker 10: He says, you know that governor you have? I said,
- 19:00Speaker 10: you mean Hukal. He goes yeah, he goes in Italian
- 19:03Speaker 10: some fight.
- 19:04Speaker 2: This is a riveting story, but where does it go?
- 19:08Speaker 10: An Italian age is silent and it means ass. As
- 19:11Speaker 10: soon as he said that, I remembered my mother saying
- 19:14Speaker 10: all the time of who the mom?
- 19:15Speaker 2: You know?
- 19:16Speaker 10: Well, that's it.
- 19:17Speaker 2: I don't know what you're talking about, but as long
- 19:18Speaker 2: as you do, that's all that. Hey, you made your point.
- 19:22Speaker 2: We don't know what it is, but you made your point.
- 19:24Speaker 2: Let's go to Rich and Myrtle Beach. Rich, how you doing?
- 19:28Speaker 3: Oh?
- 19:28Speaker 11: If you want an Italian to call the show, you
- 19:30Speaker 11: m also just stick with Vincent. I mean, I don't
- 19:32Speaker 11: know what that guy was talking. If they're going after
- 19:39Speaker 11: calling again, does that mean Pam Bondi just didn't do
- 19:41Speaker 11: it the right way? Or we know Todd Blanche will
- 19:44Speaker 11: just gut you, look at you like a fish and
- 19:45Speaker 11: not even crack a smile. But was Pam Bondi just
- 19:48Speaker 11: not doing it the right way and not as good
- 19:50Speaker 11: as Todd Blanche? What was the big deal the difference here?
- 19:53Speaker 2: Well, Pam Bondi was a great attorney general in Florida.
- 19:56Speaker 2: But again, you could be a great minor league home
- 19:58Speaker 2: run hitter. But they when you get up into the
- 20:01Speaker 2: majors and you can't hit major league pitching, so that
- 20:04Speaker 2: Pam Bondy might have gone a little above where she
- 20:06Speaker 2: should have been. Uh, from what I hear, I can't
- 20:10Speaker 2: confirm this. I keep hearing this. More charges coming. This
- 20:12Speaker 2: is just the opening.
- 20:13Speaker 11: So he's as dirty as it come. He belongs in
- 20:15Speaker 11: jail after what he did the poor General Flynn. That
- 20:17Speaker 11: was terrible.
- 20:18Speaker 2: Yeah, I forgot about that. What he did to roger Stone,
- 20:21Speaker 2: what he did he actually it's a long story, but
- 20:23Speaker 2: he really deceived General Flynn into yep. It's one thing
- 20:27Speaker 2: they do when when yeah, he's bankrupted these guys. He
- 20:31Speaker 2: bankrupted Roger Stone. This should be done to him. It's
- 20:36Speaker 2: too long to explain. But when you can't get a
- 20:38Speaker 2: guy like Flynn, when there's nothing to get him on,
- 20:41Speaker 2: you set up a fake trap, like a perjury trap,
- 20:44Speaker 2: a processed crime trap. And that's what they did to him.
- 20:46Speaker 2: It was just awful. Let's go to Jerry in Granwich, Connecticut. Jerry,
- 20:50Speaker 2: how you doing.
- 20:52Speaker 12: I'm doing well, Thank you. Mark prediction, nothing will happen
- 20:56Speaker 12: to James Coney. The Democrats above the low they're going
- 20:59Speaker 12: to throw it's out of the court again we like
- 21:02Speaker 12: the other one.
- 21:03Speaker 2: H Well, we'll see. They got to get it into
- 21:05Speaker 2: the right court. That's the problem you get before. These
- 21:08Speaker 2: are crazy left wing judges, very very tough to get
- 21:12Speaker 2: anything done. But we'll see. Hey, once again, if you
- 21:17Speaker 2: think of it coming into Manhattan today, think twice about driving,
- 21:20Speaker 2: take the train or something, because the King and the
- 21:24Speaker 2: Queen will be all over in New York City. You'll
- 21:26Speaker 2: start about noon at the World Trade Center nine to
- 21:28Speaker 2: eleven Memorial, Then she goes to the New York Public
- 21:32Speaker 2: Library Bryant Park. He goes to Harlem. Then in the
- 21:36Speaker 2: late afternoon they're both going to Rockefeller Center. So it's
- 21:39Speaker 2: not only the heavy security, but apparently lots and lots
- 21:45Speaker 2: and lots and lots of people want to see the
- 21:47Speaker 2: King and Queen, so they're expecting massive crowds to turn
- 21:51Speaker 2: out everywhere. So that's going to clog up streets. It's
- 21:54Speaker 2: going to be a traffic mess with the security and
- 21:56Speaker 2: the huge crowds. So you people with your no king signs,
- 22:00Speaker 2: apparently the public doesn't agree. If an actual king shows up,
- 22:04Speaker 2: millions will come out trying to get a look at him.
- 22:06Speaker 2: Oh you see it from the TV coverage. Apparently people
- 22:09Speaker 2: love Kings, so you can put away your no King sign.
- 22:13Speaker 2: It didn't work. Hey, when we come back, Roger Friedman,
- 22:17Speaker 2: a great entertainment reporter, will be with us. You know
- 22:19Speaker 2: that Michael Jackson biopic. What that opened? Incredible numbers, but
- 22:23Speaker 2: apparently something's gone wrong. We'll find out what that is
- 22:26Speaker 2: coming up next on seven to ten wor let's get.
- 22:30Speaker 1: Back to the Mark Simone Show on woor.
- 22:35Speaker 3: Hey.
- 22:36Speaker 2: Roger Friedman is the great entertainment reporter. You should read
- 22:39Speaker 2: his website. There's excellent stories, good stuff. It's news stories
- 22:42Speaker 2: every day. Just go to showbiz for one one dot com,
- 22:46Speaker 2: Showbiz for one one dot com. Roger Friedman, how you doing?
- 22:52Speaker 13: You know?
- 22:53Speaker 6: I'm looking at this New York Times list of New
- 22:57Speaker 6: York Times magazine list of the thirty greatest living American songwriter.
- 23:01Speaker 2: I'm glad you brought that up. That is the dumbest list.
- 23:04Speaker 2: It is totally inaccurate. It's unbelievably stupid.
- 23:09Speaker 6: It's unbelievably stupid. For one thing, Billy Joel's not on it.
- 23:16Speaker 6: I guess they consider Joni Mitchell and Neil Young to
- 23:18Speaker 6: be Canadians and not Americans, even though they are Americans.
- 23:21Speaker 3: Neil Young, Neil Young is an actual American.
- 23:26Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, but he's got like two songs anybody likes.
- 23:30Speaker 3: Oh well, he's got plenty.
- 23:31Speaker 6: But Joni Mitchell, Billy Joel, Billy Joel should be number
- 23:35Speaker 6: one on the list. Okay, Instead, you've got Young Thug.
- 23:40Speaker 6: You know, I'm sure that people are humming Young Thug
- 23:43Speaker 6: songs even as we're speaking.
- 23:48Speaker 11: You know.
- 23:49Speaker 2: Also, Jimmy Webb, he lives in the Long Island and Bayville.
- 23:53Speaker 2: He should be on that list.
- 23:54Speaker 3: Jimmy is that where he lives?
- 23:56Speaker 6: Yes, well, Jimmy Webb, about it away?
- 24:01Speaker 2: Come on, MacArthur Park's ridicularly by the time I get
- 24:03Speaker 2: to Phoenix Galveston, which.
- 24:09Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, it's crazy and bad. Bunny is one of
- 24:15Speaker 6: the top thirty. Outcast Romeo Santos. Who are these people?
- 24:23Speaker 6: There's someone here, there's one name I never actually even Oh,
- 24:26Speaker 6: Fiona Apple.
- 24:27Speaker 3: I don't get that at all.
- 24:30Speaker 6: And there are so many people who are missing from
- 24:33Speaker 6: this list. There's no James Taylor. Uh, there's the Eagles
- 24:38Speaker 6: aren't here. And also they say it's the best songwriters,
- 24:42Speaker 6: what about Broadway? What about Lynn Manueld Miranda? I mean
- 24:46Speaker 6: there are so many great people. But instead there's the dream.
- 24:49Speaker 6: You know, the dream, right.
- 24:50Speaker 2: Yeah, you know having the dream right now. Well, i'll
- 24:53Speaker 2: tell you here's the problem. The New York Times. It's
- 24:55Speaker 2: become so bad. You know. They have this thing called
- 24:57Speaker 2: Wirecutter where they review products. Oh yeah, let's see, here's
- 25:01Speaker 2: the best air conditioning. They're always wrong about everything because
- 25:04Speaker 2: in the old days of the New York Times, it
- 25:06Speaker 2: was a guy that's been doing it for thirty years,
- 25:08Speaker 2: a high top.
- 25:09Speaker 3: You know.
- 25:09Speaker 2: Right now it's like a bunch of twenty three year olds.
- 25:12Speaker 2: To give them five hundred dollars a week. They don't
- 25:14Speaker 2: know what they're doing. It's the same thing with these songwriters.
- 25:16Speaker 2: They hire these inexperienced kids to come up with these things.
- 25:20Speaker 6: Also, Mariah Carey, listen, I know she has a great voice,
- 25:24Speaker 6: but she is not a songwriter.
- 25:25Speaker 2: She's on the list.
- 25:26Speaker 3: But she's on the list.
- 25:29Speaker 6: But you know the guy who wrote the songs with her,
- 25:32Speaker 6: Walter Alfanasiev, he could actually be on the list, but
- 25:35Speaker 6: he's not here. He must be fuming he wrote all
- 25:39Speaker 6: those songs. I don't know who Stephan Merritt is at all.
- 25:43Speaker 6: Outcast had one hit, Hey you Kendrick Lamar.
- 25:49Speaker 3: You know, I know.
- 25:49Speaker 6: He's popular, but this is kind of ridiculous. The whole
- 25:53Speaker 6: thing is ridiculous. Half the list should go, and if
- 25:57Speaker 6: it's thirty, there are fifteen people missing. And but I
- 26:01Speaker 6: see online people are really angry and they're really going.
- 26:05Speaker 6: They're really really angry, and and they should be. And
- 26:09Speaker 6: I don't know who may I don't know who makes
- 26:10Speaker 6: these lists, but they and maybe they make them just
- 26:13Speaker 6: to be just to outrage everyone so that we talk
- 26:15Speaker 6: about it. There is one person on the list I'm
- 26:20Speaker 6: very happy about. I just want to say, is Valerie
- 26:24Speaker 6: Simpson from ashrad and Simpson, who's a New Yorker who
- 26:27Speaker 6: we love and wrote so many motown hits. So I'm
- 26:29Speaker 6: thrilled that she made the list. And Diane Warren deserves it.
- 26:35Speaker 6: But some of these other people, this is just kind
- 26:37Speaker 6: of ridiculous.
- 26:39Speaker 2: Bruce Springsteen, they have Smokey Robinson, so obviously it's not
- 26:42Speaker 2: a generational thing. They got the old people there, How
- 26:45Speaker 2: could they not.
- 26:46Speaker 6: Give you under I don't know. Billy Joel is so crazy.
- 26:51Speaker 6: It's so crazy, and so maybe the idea is just
- 26:56Speaker 6: to annoy everybody and get us talking about the New
- 26:58Speaker 6: York Times magazine. But you know, on Sunday when this
- 27:01Speaker 6: comes out, we get our New York Times magazine delivered.
- 27:05Speaker 3: I'm going to use it to line some kind of cage.
- 27:08Speaker 3: I don't know, third cage, a dog cage, something.
- 27:11Speaker 2: It's just terrible. Hey, let me ask you. You're the
- 27:14Speaker 2: Michael Jackson expert. The Michael Jackson movie had an incredible
- 27:18Speaker 2: box office opening weekend, and then what happened.
- 27:21Speaker 6: It did well, So we'll see what happens in a
- 27:24Speaker 6: little while. We'll have the numbers from last night, but
- 27:27Speaker 6: the two nights ago they had a big fall off,
- 27:32Speaker 6: seventy percent falloff. And well, I think that the big
- 27:38Speaker 6: rush to see it was over the weekend.
- 27:40Speaker 3: It actually started.
- 27:41Speaker 6: You know, they had previews last Wednesday, so it was Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday.
- 27:47Speaker 6: They made ninety seven million dollars in the United States
- 27:51Speaker 6: and another one hundred and twenty million around the world,
- 27:55Speaker 6: which was amazing. So they made two hundred million dollars
- 27:59Speaker 6: and everybody was talking about what a surprise this was.
- 28:02Speaker 6: But I also think that maybe the big rush of
- 28:05Speaker 6: Michael Jackson fans saw it.
- 28:07Speaker 3: They loved it.
- 28:08Speaker 6: They had a good time, and now you're going to
- 28:10Speaker 6: see kind of a fall off. I think it's not
- 28:13Speaker 6: a good movie. No, it's not a factually it's not
- 28:16Speaker 6: a factually correct movie.
- 28:19Speaker 3: I don't care about what they don't.
- 28:21Speaker 6: And it's not about leaving out the child molestation scandals
- 28:25Speaker 6: and all that stuff, because that would have come later.
- 28:28Speaker 6: This movie ends in nineteen eighty eight, but just the
- 28:32Speaker 6: stuff that they covered in the seventies and eighties, they
- 28:36Speaker 6: skipped through the seventies. So you sort of have the
- 28:40Speaker 6: Jackson five being a success and then suddenly it's Michael
- 28:45Speaker 6: having his Off the Wall album. But in between nothing happens,
- 28:50Speaker 6: like Michael doesn't do the whiz.
- 28:52Speaker 3: There's all kinds of stuff missing. It's not a well
- 28:56Speaker 3: made movie.
- 28:58Speaker 2: So you think word of mouth is slowing down the
- 29:00Speaker 2: box office.
- 29:02Speaker 6: It could be that word of mouth is slowing down
- 29:04Speaker 6: the box office. And also the reviews are terrible. You know,
- 29:07Speaker 6: if you look on I mean, it doesn't seem to
- 29:09Speaker 6: have mattered at the beginning, but on Rotten Tomatoes, I
- 29:12Speaker 6: think they have like a thirty seven percent or something,
- 29:15Speaker 6: and that's the high. It was as low as twenty
- 29:17Speaker 6: seven percent. So critics reviews are terrible. So it could
- 29:21Speaker 6: be that the next level of people coming through are
- 29:25Speaker 6: the people who would read the reviews and say, you
- 29:27Speaker 6: know what, I don't think it's.
- 29:28Speaker 3: Worth twenty five dollars.
- 29:30Speaker 6: Hey, By the way, speaking of twenty five dollars, I
- 29:34Speaker 6: was I went to look at a ticket for The
- 29:36Speaker 6: Devilwaar's product for this weekend. The tickets are twenty five dollars.
- 29:40Speaker 2: He wait, hold a press, You were going to pay
- 29:42Speaker 2: for something?
- 29:43Speaker 6: Wait a minute, I was, yeah, because well, Disney has
- 29:47Speaker 6: Disney doesn't the movie's not that great, and Disney does
- 29:50Speaker 6: not do not want me. I was not invited to
- 29:52Speaker 6: any screenings. What I said, all right, I'll pay for
- 29:55Speaker 6: it to go to a preview. Yes, I got this,
- 29:57Speaker 6: I said, I'll pay. I don't mind five dollars.
- 30:03Speaker 2: Hey. Let me tell you that you know that I
- 30:05Speaker 2: never saw The Devilwares prodest so because of this, I
- 30:08Speaker 2: went back and watched it this week. I don't understand
- 30:11Speaker 2: the movie at all, the way she behaves. You and
- 30:13Speaker 2: I in the media business, We've worked for hundreds of
- 30:16Speaker 2: people like that. What's so unusual about it? I know
- 30:20Speaker 2: a million people I.
- 30:21Speaker 6: Know rude, insulin, obnoxious.
- 30:25Speaker 3: Yes, that's the that's the norm.
- 30:28Speaker 2: I've worked for people much worse than her. You probably too.
- 30:32Speaker 3: That's nothing else. Oh, yes, we can talk, you know.
- 30:38Speaker 14: Uh.
- 30:40Speaker 6: The second movie, apparently the new one has been really
- 30:44Speaker 6: watered down.
- 30:45Speaker 3: The Marrichy character has become very friendly.
- 30:48Speaker 6: Yes, because you know, the first movie, the story it was,
- 30:52Speaker 6: the joke was about Vogue.
- 30:54Speaker 3: But the second movie, Vogue.
- 30:56Speaker 6: Is in on it. They're like a sponsor of it.
- 30:59Speaker 6: And Anna went to or was filmed scenes to be
- 31:01Speaker 6: in it. I don't know if she made them in
- 31:03Speaker 6: paraly she got cut. But Anna Winter put Meryl Streep
- 31:08Speaker 6: and herself on the cover of Vogue this month because
- 31:12Speaker 6: she's so into it. She's into it, so they've made
- 31:15Speaker 6: the movie very Anna Winter. He friendly, So instead of
- 31:18Speaker 6: having that obnoxious character, now suddenly she's like a pussy cat.
- 31:23Speaker 6: And I think that's going to ruin the whole idea
- 31:26Speaker 6: of the devil.
- 31:27Speaker 3: There's no devil wearing praduct.
- 31:29Speaker 2: You know, Hey, Roger Fream, we only got about thirty
- 31:32Speaker 2: seconds left the King, Charles, you believe the mania over
- 31:36Speaker 2: the King a month ago was no kings. Now everybody's
- 31:40Speaker 2: fawning all over the King. What do you think of
- 31:42Speaker 2: King Charles.
- 31:43Speaker 6: First of all, I call him Prince Charles. I can't
- 31:45Speaker 6: call him King Charles. We know him as Prince Charles.
- 31:49Speaker 6: And I don't know. He made a good speech yesterday.
- 31:53Speaker 6: He thought he was getting away with something.
- 31:55Speaker 3: He you know, made a.
- 31:56Speaker 6: Nice speech about checks and balances, and he was. You know,
- 32:01Speaker 6: the King is promoted, the Royal family promotes what the
- 32:05Speaker 6: parliament want, what the Prime Minister wants, so he's giving
- 32:10Speaker 6: their agenda.
- 32:11Speaker 3: He doesn't have his own agenda, so he's doing that.
- 32:16Speaker 6: He's really here, you know, to see some shows and
- 32:19Speaker 6: go to some restaurants.
- 32:21Speaker 3: So God bless him.
- 32:23Speaker 6: Right, Well, hopefully this he's a sick man, he has cancer,
- 32:28Speaker 6: you know, let him go, Let him go do a
- 32:30Speaker 6: few things while he's here, you know, come.
- 32:32Speaker 2: On, yeah, well I listen. They're very nice. They're not
- 32:35Speaker 2: the most exciting couple in the world.
- 32:37Speaker 6: I mean, she's not. And they keep calling her queen.
- 32:40Speaker 6: She's the Queen consort. She's not the Queen's the second
- 32:45Speaker 6: she's the second wife. You know, Diana would have been
- 32:49Speaker 6: the queen. This woman is just like you know, Johnny
- 32:52Speaker 6: come Lately.
- 32:53Speaker 2: Yeah, all right, She's like the Nancy Reagan of this deal.
- 32:56Speaker 2: Well second wife.
- 32:57Speaker 3: No, no, Nancy Reagan was fantastic.
- 33:00Speaker 6: We loved her. She was okay, all right, we everyone
- 33:03Speaker 6: loved Nancy Reagan.
- 33:04Speaker 3: All right.
- 33:04Speaker 2: Well, great stuff. If you want more, go to Roger
- 33:07Speaker 2: Freeman's website, showbiz for one one dot contact. There's all
- 33:10Speaker 2: the other bunch of stories that we didn't get to
- 33:12Speaker 2: show Biz.
- 33:13Speaker 6: Oh my god, there's so much going on. There's so
- 33:15Speaker 6: much going on, Mark, it's terrible. How about the Friars
- 33:17Speaker 6: Club we didn't even talk about.
- 33:19Speaker 2: We'll get to that next time. The building has been sold, okay,
- 33:21Speaker 2: it could become another private Well, we'll get to that
- 33:23Speaker 2: next time. But go to showbizfar one one dot com
- 33:26Speaker 2: and read it showbizfore one one dot com. Roger Friedman,
- 33:30Speaker 2: thanks for being with us.
- 33:32Speaker 3: Thank you, take care.
- 33:33Speaker 2: Hey, don't forget Buck and Clay Noon Today with an
- 33:36Speaker 2: excellent show. Uh, the most listened to radio show in America.
- 33:40Speaker 2: Sean Hannity three o'clock, Jesse Kelly at six, Jimmy Faylo.
- 33:44Speaker 2: What a great show. It's so funny. It's every night
- 33:47Speaker 2: here at nine on seven to ten. Woof.
- 33:50Speaker 1: If you're listening to Mark on the iHeartRadio app, save
- 33:53Speaker 1: Diamond Tap the preset button. Now now back to the
- 33:57Speaker 1: Mark Simone Show on WOA.
- 34:00Speaker 2: Well, yeah, there will be some rain, a lot of rain,
- 34:04Speaker 2: but it won't be till tonight. Start after seven o'clock
- 34:07Speaker 2: and then going to be a mess all over Manhattan
- 34:10Speaker 2: today because of the King's visit World Trade Center nine
- 34:14Speaker 2: eleven Memorial that's first around noon. Then after that New
- 34:18Speaker 2: York Public Library is going to be a mess. She'll
- 34:20Speaker 2: be there, he'll be in Harlem. Then in the late
- 34:23Speaker 2: afternoon they go to Christie's in Rockefeller Center. Company lately
- 34:27Speaker 2: screwing up Midtown Manhattan. When in the middle of rush hour.
- 34:31Speaker 2: Back after the news seven to ten WR.
- 34:34Speaker 1: Seven ten wrs, Mark Simone Show continues.
- 34:39Speaker 2: Now, well, hey, welcome to our number two. We got
- 34:48Speaker 2: a lot to get to this hour. So hey, this
- 34:52Speaker 2: just breaking. You know, this redistricting is taking place in
- 34:56Speaker 2: state after state where they redraw the congressional districts to
- 35:00Speaker 2: get rid of Republican districts or it's all terrible stuff.
- 35:04Speaker 2: It's just totally unethical. You know, the congressional districts. If
- 35:09Speaker 2: an area is Republican, it's republican, but they'll redraw the
- 35:12Speaker 2: district in this weird snake pattern just to eliminate their
- 35:18Speaker 2: But so they've done it in the state after state,
- 35:19Speaker 2: but in Louisiana they tried to do it and the
- 35:22Speaker 2: Supreme Court just shot it down, ruling it unconstitutional unethical.
- 35:27Speaker 2: So this is a big victory for the GOP, but
- 35:30Speaker 2: it could also set a precedent for all this crazy redistricting.
- 35:34Speaker 2: So it just happened. We'll keep an eye on that.
- 35:38Speaker 2: The we're talking about The devilwaars Prada, Part two, the
- 35:42Speaker 2: sequel is this Friday. Roger Friedman on Last Hour reporting
- 35:46Speaker 2: it's not that good. You're going to see a huge
- 35:49Speaker 2: publicity blitz all this week for the devilwares Prada too,
- 35:53Speaker 2: but apparently they've really toned it down. So and he
- 35:58Speaker 2: reports it's not only not good, but there's no screenings.
- 36:02Speaker 2: You know, normally, all the critics, all the people in
- 36:04Speaker 2: the media, we all get invited to private screenings all
- 36:08Speaker 2: day and night. Anytime you want to see it, you
- 36:10Speaker 2: go to a private screening. There's the big premiere, there's
- 36:12Speaker 2: all that stuff, and apparently they've canceled all the screenings.
- 36:17Speaker 2: Now that's usually because a movie stinks and it's going
- 36:19Speaker 2: to get bad reviews. So they won't let anybody see
- 36:21Speaker 2: it before it opens because they know where it will
- 36:24Speaker 2: get out. It's thanks, So apparently it's not great. As
- 36:27Speaker 2: I mentioned before, I never saw The Devilwar's product. I
- 36:30Speaker 2: just never saw it. So I went back and I
- 36:32Speaker 2: watched it over the weekend just to see in the MARYL.
- 36:37Speaker 2: Streep character. Now, I guess to most people, this is
- 36:40Speaker 2: a horrible woman. They can't believe the way she talks
- 36:42Speaker 2: to people. They can't believe who she treats people. They
- 36:45Speaker 2: can't believe the way she'd be had for us in
- 36:48Speaker 2: the media. Me Roger said the same thing. We've worked
- 36:51Speaker 2: for a million people like that. We've worked for people
- 36:53Speaker 2: ten times worse than that. So that's the way a
- 36:58Speaker 2: lot of people are in the media world. That's the
- 37:01Speaker 2: way a lot of agents are. That's the way a
- 37:02Speaker 2: lot of TV executives are, radio executives are. Some not
- 37:06Speaker 2: so much. But in the television broadcasting word of entertainment. Yeah,
- 37:11Speaker 2: there's plenty of people worse than her, much worse. Now,
- 37:14Speaker 2: look at the Correspondence dinner. We just heard the story
- 37:18Speaker 2: on the news, the shooting, the four shots are fired,
- 37:22Speaker 2: all hell breaks loose. The Secret Service in the room,
- 37:25Speaker 2: those guys in combat gear with big long rifles pointing
- 37:28Speaker 2: the crowd. People are fleeing, hiding under tables, and there
- 37:31Speaker 2: was this video of this guy who didn't flinch and
- 37:34Speaker 2: he kept eating his salad. He didn't get under the table,
- 37:37Speaker 2: he didn't even stop eating. In fact, everybody left, he's
- 37:40Speaker 2: eating their stuff. So they finally figured out who the
- 37:43Speaker 2: guy is. And sure enough, just like I was just
- 37:46Speaker 2: telling you, he's an agent. He's a big Hollywood agent.
- 37:50Speaker 2: And he said, eh, I'm used to I'm used to sirens,
- 37:55Speaker 2: I'm used to police. Stuff didn't bother me. I was hungry,
- 37:58Speaker 2: I wanted to finish eating. I'm not getting under table.
- 38:00Speaker 2: But that's you see that in the media with a
- 38:02Speaker 2: lot of very tough, cold people. Then there's that other
- 38:06Speaker 2: famous video. I don't think they've identified her yet, the
- 38:08Speaker 2: woman who in the middle of all this is running
- 38:11Speaker 2: around stealing the champagne bottles off the table, sticking them
- 38:15Speaker 2: in her purse.
- 38:17Speaker 3: What else.
- 38:17Speaker 2: Oh, speaking of which, the shooter, Cole Allen, apparently was
- 38:22Speaker 2: taking smiling selfies of himself before the shooting. He was
- 38:26Speaker 2: up in his hotel room. He was on the tenth
- 38:28Speaker 2: floor taking selfies of himself smiling everybody, I don't care
- 38:33Speaker 2: what you do. They're busy taking selfies for Instagram or something.
- 38:38Speaker 2: And apparently he walked down the stairs. He didn't get
- 38:41Speaker 2: in the elevator to come down to the where the
- 38:43Speaker 2: ballroom is or where the lobby is. He walked down
- 38:47Speaker 2: with the guns and everything came down ten flights of stairs. Now,
- 38:51Speaker 2: I would imagine that he's figuring the surveillance cameras in
- 38:55Speaker 2: the elevators, they'd see the guns. Although he was wearing
- 38:59Speaker 2: a long coat over the guns and came down the
- 39:03Speaker 2: ten flods. It's just you're going to be less detected
- 39:05Speaker 2: in a back stairwell than in an elevator and not
- 39:08Speaker 2: likely to run into anybody in the stairwell. So he
- 39:10Speaker 2: came down wearing a long trench coat with the guns underneath,
- 39:13Speaker 2: the rifle underneath. And then he found a little room
- 39:17Speaker 2: just off the lobby, just a little alcove, a little
- 39:21Speaker 2: room where there it was used to store bar carts
- 39:25Speaker 2: and things like that, and it was not guarded by
- 39:29Speaker 2: the Secret Service. As much as they were all over
- 39:30Speaker 2: the lobby, they didn't guard certain areas. There were a
- 39:33Speaker 2: couple of holding rooms. They weren't guarding, and there was
- 39:35Speaker 2: this little room where they stored the bar carts, so
- 39:39Speaker 2: he went in there to take off his trench coat
- 39:41Speaker 2: and bring out the guns. Now, as far as mistakes
- 39:45Speaker 2: the Secret Service made, well, there's different types of Secret Service.
- 39:49Speaker 2: There's the uniform Secret Service. You know, there's about seven
- 39:53Speaker 2: thousand people in the Secret Service. But there's the uniform guys.
- 39:57Speaker 2: That's like the lower tier. Those are the ones you
- 40:00Speaker 2: see in uniform all over the lobby. Then there's the
- 40:03Speaker 2: guys in the suits and ties with the earphones. That's
- 40:07Speaker 2: the PPD, the Presidential Protection Division. Those are much higher
- 40:13Speaker 2: level guys. Those are the ones all around the president.
- 40:17Speaker 2: And then there's the CAT, the Counter Assault Team. Those
- 40:20Speaker 2: are the guys in the combat gear, the helmets, the
- 40:23Speaker 2: big long rifles. So the outside the perimeter, that was
- 40:27Speaker 2: the uniform guys. And when they look back at mistakes,
- 40:30Speaker 2: there were a bunch they were not Again, they didn't
- 40:33Speaker 2: check all these they weren't guarding all these little rooms alcohols.
- 40:37Speaker 2: The other thing is it looked like about nine o'clock
- 40:41Speaker 2: they were getting lazy. They were dismantling the metal detectors.
- 40:45Speaker 2: The fare is just beginning. Why would you shut this
- 40:47Speaker 2: stuff down, start taking down the equipment, and you could
- 40:51Speaker 2: see they were all not paying attention. They were all gossiping,
- 40:55Speaker 2: talking on the side there. And then the other thing
- 40:57Speaker 2: they're looking at is as you came down the long
- 41:01Speaker 2: corridor to get to this checkpoint, it was a straight
- 41:05Speaker 2: line all the way. You're not supposed to do that.
- 41:08Speaker 2: You're supposed to make it a zigzag. Like if you're
- 41:11Speaker 2: coming to a military base, the road that goes right
- 41:14Speaker 2: to the front of the military base is always zigzagged.
- 41:17Speaker 3: That way.
- 41:17Speaker 2: You can't get up any speed because you have to
- 41:19Speaker 2: keep turning. Same thing with coming down this corridor to
- 41:24Speaker 2: get to the checkpoint. To get into the ballroom, it
- 41:27Speaker 2: should have been set up with fences, so you have
- 41:29Speaker 2: to turn this way and then this way and that way.
- 41:32Speaker 2: When you have to zigzag, you can't run and get
- 41:34Speaker 2: up all that speed that the guy got up. So
- 41:36Speaker 2: that's the other mistake. They'll keep looking at this and
- 41:38Speaker 2: they'll make more corrections to all of this stuff. Hey,
- 41:43Speaker 2: Obama getting a lot of flack. President Obama, who's been
- 41:49Speaker 2: kind of under the radar for a while. When he
- 41:52Speaker 2: first left, he had his book, his Netflix thing, and
- 41:54Speaker 2: then all that kind of dried up. Oh, of course,
- 41:56Speaker 2: it's been a it's been five years, you know, more
- 42:00Speaker 2: than that, it's been Trump, Biden's been nine years, ten years.
- 42:04Speaker 2: So it goes away after a while. He's trying to
- 42:07Speaker 2: come back, trying to get visible again, trying to get
- 42:09Speaker 2: relevant again. So you know, he's starting a production company,
- 42:15Speaker 2: he's trying to get a lot of attention for himself.
- 42:17Speaker 2: So right after the shooting the White House correspondents to him,
- 42:20Speaker 2: he puts out this ridiculous tweet saying, we don't know
- 42:24Speaker 2: the motive yet for the shooting. Well, of course he
- 42:28Speaker 2: knew the motive for the shooting. The shooter wrote out
- 42:31Speaker 2: his motive in great detail and published a manifesto. He
- 42:35Speaker 2: wrote it out in detail. Here it is, here's my motive.
- 42:40Speaker 2: So for Obama to write that stupid tweet, well, we
- 42:42Speaker 2: don't know the motive of the shooter. And a lot
- 42:46Speaker 2: of people are pointing out that was a big mistake
- 42:48Speaker 2: on his part because it reminded people. It's reminding people
- 42:52Speaker 2: of the stuff they didn't like about him. You know,
- 42:55Speaker 2: he looks great, he's a good talker, he's in a
- 42:57Speaker 2: beautiful suit. He looks, you know, very impressive up there,
- 43:02Speaker 2: but outside of that, he's a hell of a liar.
- 43:05Speaker 2: He never gets done anything like he claims he's going
- 43:09Speaker 2: to do. He does just the opposite. You know, he
- 43:11Speaker 2: was supposed to be the unit or the healer. He
- 43:13Speaker 2: did more to divide the country racially, class warfare. I
- 43:17Speaker 2: mean so, and you think he looks like this noble
- 43:21Speaker 2: sort of a guy, but he's the biggest liar. And
- 43:23Speaker 2: when he put out that tweet, it just reminded people
- 43:25Speaker 2: how blatantly he can lie at times. Hey, let's get
- 43:29Speaker 2: that Jimmy Kimmel. So you might have seen that the
- 43:34Speaker 2: FCC is looking at ABC talking about looking at their licenses. Now,
- 43:39Speaker 2: this was apparently something that was going on for a
- 43:41Speaker 2: while about diversity hiring at ABC. I can't imagine ABC
- 43:46Speaker 2: not having a lot of diversity hiring, but apparently they
- 43:50Speaker 2: we're looking at that now. They may have ramped it
- 43:51Speaker 2: up because of the Kimmel thing. From what we hear
- 43:57Speaker 2: inside sources at ABC. This is not firm, but inside
- 44:01Speaker 2: sources say they plan to absolutely stand by Kimmel. He
- 44:05Speaker 2: doesn't have much left on his contract, so firing him
- 44:09Speaker 2: may cause more uproar than they want. But I say
- 44:13Speaker 2: it's back to usual, they're moving on.
- 44:15Speaker 3: Well, we'll see.
- 44:17Speaker 2: Kimmel is doubling down on the whole thing. You know,
- 44:19Speaker 2: they made the joke about Milania looks like an expectant widow.
- 44:24Speaker 2: In other words, your husban's gonna die at any moment, now,
- 44:26Speaker 2: he claimed when he did it. We claimed the next day.
- 44:32Speaker 2: That's a roast joke. It's done at roast all the time.
- 44:36Speaker 2: It's just a standard roast joke. It has nothing to
- 44:38Speaker 2: do with being assassination. It just means you're old and
- 44:40Speaker 2: your wife is younger and she's going to be a widow.
- 44:43Speaker 14: Wow.
- 44:44Speaker 2: Yeah, it was done at a lot of roast, but it
- 44:46Speaker 2: was usually a much older looking guy. It was always
- 44:49Speaker 2: They used to do it about Abe the Gooda all
- 44:51Speaker 2: the time. Remember Abe Goda. They were every great friars
- 44:54Speaker 2: Rust would bring Abe the Goda onto the day. It's
- 44:57Speaker 2: not because he was just so exciting. They just needed
- 44:58Speaker 2: him because everybody wanted to jokes. As they'd say, ladies
- 45:01Speaker 2: and gentlemen, Abe Pagoda and his widow, and everybody would laugh.
- 45:05Speaker 2: It doesn't work with Trump though. It's not because he
- 45:07Speaker 2: doesn't look like he's about to go anywhere. And well,
- 45:12Speaker 2: here's Kimmel last night.
- 45:13Speaker 3: Now.
- 45:13Speaker 2: Now, apparently when Trump President Trump was speaking at the
- 45:18Speaker 2: ceremony with the King, he talked about how long the
- 45:23Speaker 2: queen was married, and he made a joke about sixty
- 45:27Speaker 2: three years. Well, I'll never be able to be married
- 45:29Speaker 2: that long to Milaney. In other words, we're too old.
- 45:31Speaker 2: But she's fifty seven, so obviously she's really not going
- 45:35Speaker 2: to live another sixty three years. So it's not about
- 45:37Speaker 2: his age, it's just in general. But so Kimmel used that,
- 45:42Speaker 2: he said, look at this, he's making a joke about
- 45:43Speaker 2: his age. Why can't I do it?
- 45:45Speaker 5: They were married for sixty three years, and excuse me
- 45:51Speaker 5: if you don't mind, that's a record.
- 45:54Speaker 2: We won't be able to match, darling.
- 45:56Speaker 3: So just not going to work out that way. Plain
- 46:00Speaker 3: a minute, Did he just make a joke.
- 46:03Speaker 2: About his death. Not really, He made a joke that
- 46:10Speaker 2: he doesn't have sixty three years to go. He didn't
- 46:12Speaker 2: make a joke about he'll be dying pretty soon. It's different,
- 46:16Speaker 2: It's really different. Kimmel's joke was you look like an
- 46:19Speaker 2: expectant widow. Nother was expecting him to die at any moment,
- 46:22Speaker 2: which nobody was. So Kimmel's standing by that joke.
- 46:26Speaker 8: Only Donald Trump would demand I'd be fired for making
- 46:30Speaker 8: a joke about his old age, and then a day later.
- 46:32Speaker 2: Go out and make a joke about his own old day.
- 46:36Speaker 14: Eh.
- 46:36Speaker 2: But you know, when Kimmel made that joke about you
- 46:39Speaker 2: look like an expectant widow, it was a joke about
- 46:42Speaker 2: a guy who had just gotten through three assassination attempts.
- 46:46Speaker 2: And the next day the fourth assassination attempt came. You had, Butler,
- 46:50Speaker 2: you had the guy on the golf course trying it
- 46:52Speaker 2: with the rifle, trying to shoot him. And I'm also
- 46:55Speaker 2: counting the guy, remember the guy that charged the gate
- 46:57Speaker 2: at mar A Lago that had a bomb on him.
- 47:00Speaker 2: So that's three assassination attempts, the fourth one this weekend.
- 47:04Speaker 2: So now, I mean, the only good thing about this
- 47:09Speaker 2: Kimmel situation, he's not going to be around much longer.
- 47:12Speaker 2: He's going off the air. They wouldn't give him a
- 47:15Speaker 2: new contract. Instead, they gave him an extension, which means
- 47:19Speaker 2: we don't really want to sign it in a new contract. Hey,
- 47:22Speaker 2: there was a great moment yesterday involving nine to eleven
- 47:26Speaker 2: at one police plaza. They've created a beautiful memorial to
- 47:30Speaker 2: the cops and men and women that lost their lives
- 47:33Speaker 2: on nine to eleven. It's a beautiful memorial. It had
- 47:36Speaker 2: to be funded privately, and Mayor Mom Donnie came for
- 47:41Speaker 2: the ceremony. Well, the guy he's been targeting, torturing, trying
- 47:46Speaker 2: to demonize Ken Griffin, the billionaire. Remember he did the
- 47:51Speaker 2: video outside Ken Griffin's house trying to ridicule him. Well,
- 47:54Speaker 2: Ken Griffin in real life pays a hell of a
- 47:57Speaker 2: lot of taxes. He's maybe the biggest taxpayer New York.
- 48:01Speaker 2: And on top of that, he doesn't even live here.
- 48:03Speaker 2: He lives in Florida. He doesn't even live here, and
- 48:06Speaker 2: here in New York. He gave seven hundred million to charities.
- 48:10Speaker 2: That's pretty generous in a place that you don't even live.
- 48:13Speaker 2: It's not his home state. He lived in Chicago most
- 48:16Speaker 2: and then he moved to Florida, not in New Yorker.
- 48:19Speaker 2: He still gave seven hundred million to New York charities,
- 48:23Speaker 2: and one of the things he heavily donated to was
- 48:25Speaker 2: that beautiful memorial. So when the mayor was doing the ceremony,
- 48:30Speaker 2: he had to actually thank Ken Griffin.
- 48:32Speaker 6: I also want to thank Ken Griffin for funding a
- 48:34Speaker 6: memorial wall which will open later this year.
- 48:37Speaker 2: Yeah, so he had to acknowledge Ken Griffin, one of
- 48:41Speaker 2: the most generous guys in the world. That memorial is
- 48:44Speaker 2: actually done by the New York City Police Foundation, which
- 48:49Speaker 2: is one of the great charities in New York. You
- 48:52Speaker 2: want to give to a great charity, Police Athletic League,
- 48:55Speaker 2: one of the very best children's charities. And another great
- 48:58Speaker 2: one is the New York City Lease Foundation. Susan Bernbaum
- 49:02Speaker 2: runs that. But they do so much great work and
- 49:04Speaker 2: they raise money to help the cops with whatever they
- 49:07Speaker 2: need and take care of them, and then they do
- 49:10Speaker 2: things like this memorial. So it's a great, great charity. Hey,
- 49:15Speaker 2: this is pretty good news.
- 49:17Speaker 3: You know.
- 49:17Speaker 2: We got the straits of Hormose closed and President Trump
- 49:19Speaker 2: signing an extension of the blockade. Because as long as
- 49:24Speaker 2: it's closed, Iran is broke. They have no economy. Their
- 49:27Speaker 2: whole economy runs through the straight of horm Moose, so
- 49:30Speaker 2: as long as it's shut, their economy is shut down.
- 49:34Speaker 2: So that's good. Now. It could cause us a little
- 49:37Speaker 2: increase in oil, but we'll get through that now. The
- 49:40Speaker 2: other interesting development is the United Arab Emirates has announced
- 49:43Speaker 2: they're going to leave OPEK. So besides getting rid of
- 49:47Speaker 2: the awful terrorist government Iran, we may be breaking up OPEC,
- 49:51Speaker 2: which is good. Opek is a cartel that would deliberately
- 49:55Speaker 2: drive up the price of oil and play games with
- 49:57Speaker 2: oil prices. So this is the first break can opack.
- 50:00Speaker 2: United Arab Emirates is leaving. They don't want to be
- 50:04Speaker 2: a part of this cartel. They produce about five million
- 50:08Speaker 2: barrels a day, that's big, so they said they don't
- 50:11Speaker 2: want to be collaborating, unrestricting supply and deliberately driving prices up,
- 50:15Speaker 2: and they were attacked by Iran and all this. They
- 50:18Speaker 2: just don't want to be a part of anymore. So
- 50:20Speaker 2: if we can break up OPAK, that'd be another another
- 50:24Speaker 2: great result from what we're doing in Iran. Hey, we'll
- 50:27Speaker 2: take some calls next. Eight hundred three to two one
- 50:30Speaker 2: zero seven ten is the number. Well, by the way,
- 50:33Speaker 2: the ballroom, you know, after the shooting, everybody say you
- 50:36Speaker 2: got to have the ballroom now. And as much as
- 50:38Speaker 2: they're trying to block it, you know, left wing lawsuits,
- 50:41Speaker 2: with these left wing judges blocking the ballroom, Congress now
- 50:45Speaker 2: taken action. Look they're going to pass the legislation to
- 50:48Speaker 2: make the ballroom happen, so it'll be official government legislation ballroom. Now,
- 50:54Speaker 2: they passed something yesterday about the funding, and a lot
- 50:58Speaker 2: of people misunderstood. Now they're screaming, I thought it was
- 51:01Speaker 2: going to be taxpayer funded. Why did Congress allocate four
- 51:05Speaker 2: hundred million If it's taxpayer funded? Why is the Congress
- 51:08Speaker 2: did not allocate four hundred million of government money. It's
- 51:13Speaker 2: very confusing. But what they passed was the problem is
- 51:17Speaker 2: if the private donations come in, there's technically legally no
- 51:21Speaker 2: way to get it to the government fund. So these
- 51:24Speaker 2: just simply created an avenue to have that money go
- 51:27Speaker 2: into the government fund and get to the bottom. And
- 51:29Speaker 2: that's all that was. But it looks like it'll happen anyway.
- 51:32Speaker 2: We'll take some calls next eight hundred three to two
- 51:35Speaker 2: one zero seven ten. Eight hundred three two one zero
- 51:40Speaker 2: seven ten.
- 51:41Speaker 1: So Mark Simone show on SEVENR.
- 51:47Speaker 2: Let's take some calls. Let's go to Vince in Fort Pierce, Florida. Vince,
- 51:52Speaker 2: how you doing.
- 51:53Speaker 15: Yeah, good morning. You know there's more to the call
- 51:55Speaker 15: me case, and I hope there is other cases coming,
- 51:57Speaker 15: but this one you know, the FBI had to take
- 52:00Speaker 15: any to look at that photo and determine if that
- 52:02Speaker 15: sand is from Maryland or Virginia. Where they can look
- 52:05Speaker 15: at those shells and determine if they're from the Pacific.
- 52:08Speaker 15: They probably subpoened his phone and they can determine where
- 52:11Speaker 15: and when that picture was made. They might have witnesses.
- 52:14Speaker 15: But what they might be setting him up for, which
- 52:17Speaker 15: nobody knows better than Cally, is a nice perjury trap.
- 52:20Speaker 15: And I hope that would be one of the first
- 52:22Speaker 15: charges they get him on because he did that to
- 52:24Speaker 15: General Flynn. He did that. You mentioned Roger Stone, who
- 52:28Speaker 15: they arrested because he supposedly threatened his neighbor's dog, and
- 52:33Speaker 15: his neighbor even said it was a joke. So nothing
- 52:36Speaker 15: is out of balance with call me.
- 52:38Speaker 2: Yeah, no, he deserves this, even if it is a
- 52:40Speaker 2: flimsy charge. But yeah, there's stuff they can do. His
- 52:43Speaker 2: story that he tells he was walking along the beach
- 52:46Speaker 2: and he saw the seashells. Nobody quite buys that story.
- 52:49Speaker 2: So maybe he laid out the shells himself, or maybe
- 52:52Speaker 2: it was a picture he got from somebody else. But
- 52:54Speaker 2: from what I hear, there's more charges coming this silly
- 52:57Speaker 2: little thing isn't the whole thing? Apparently this morn coming,
- 53:01Speaker 2: Let's go to Skeeter in Long Island. When's last time
- 53:04Speaker 2: you met anybody named Skeeter? Skeeter, how are you doing the.
- 53:09Speaker 13: Last time I spoke to you? Oh, good morning, Mark.
- 53:11Speaker 13: You always have a great show.
- 53:13Speaker 2: Peter Davis. You see the great singer Skeeter Davis. Certainly
- 53:18Speaker 2: was the End of the World. That was her big hit.
- 53:22Speaker 2: I could see you, but go ahead.
- 53:25Speaker 13: Yeah, Well, I asked you a couple of weeks back,
- 53:28Speaker 13: what's happening with this investigation? You're the answer man? And
- 53:31Speaker 13: sure enough they got called me coming up and I
- 53:33Speaker 13: hope Brandon is next. But that's not why I called.
- 53:36Speaker 13: I called when you said that the Secret agents they
- 53:39Speaker 13: were breaking down the equipment. They were relaxed. But Mark,
- 53:42Speaker 13: when they turned and pulled their pistols and fired twenty
- 53:45Speaker 13: one shots, nobody even hit them.
- 53:49Speaker 2: Well, they don't know anything yet because they haven't released
- 53:52Speaker 2: all this information. Apparently they did fire and missed. We
- 53:56Speaker 2: don't know who shot the Secret Service agent. They won't
- 53:58Speaker 2: reveal that. They keep saying they're checking to see was
- 54:02Speaker 2: it one of them that hit the Secret Service ation
- 54:04Speaker 2: or the assassin. They don't. They haven't revealed that yet.
- 54:07Speaker 2: Now you think you could find that out in one second.
- 54:09Speaker 2: You simply take the bullet out of the bulletproof vest
- 54:12Speaker 2: and identify the bullet. But we'll wait and see what
- 54:15Speaker 2: they come up with. Let's go to Jeff and Ice slip. Jeff,
- 54:18Speaker 2: how you doing great?
- 54:20Speaker 15: Mark?
- 54:22Speaker 16: There was a congressman who was ranting against Lee Zelden
- 54:25Speaker 16: during a hearing, same as Robert Menendez, the son of
- 54:28Speaker 16: the corrupt guy in prison. Do you know anything about him?
- 54:33Speaker 2: The son of Robert Menendez? What more do you need?
- 54:37Speaker 17: Okay?
- 54:39Speaker 2: Hey, leez Elden was pretty good on the witness stands.
- 54:43Speaker 2: He's an attorney. You know, he's been an attorney, so
- 54:45Speaker 2: he's pretty good at that cross examination stuff. Let's go
- 54:48Speaker 2: to Joel in Florida. Joel, how you doing?
- 54:51Speaker 3: Good morning? Mark?
- 54:52Speaker 18: You would talking about the Secret Service. I was listening
- 54:54Speaker 18: to Dan Bongino, Jonathan gilliam and the former chief of
- 54:58Speaker 18: the Secret Service, and he was saying that when the
- 55:01Speaker 18: Secret Service was taken away from the Treasury Department and
- 55:04Speaker 18: put on the DHS, everything changed. The Secret Services. Now
- 55:08Speaker 18: both DEI and Woke and the people that are currently
- 55:11Speaker 18: working there are not fully trained fire, both physically and
- 55:16Speaker 18: with their abilities.
- 55:17Speaker 2: Yeah, you can see that. You saw that in Butler.
- 55:20Speaker 2: Remember those three little female cops. Remember the one who
- 55:24Speaker 2: couldn't holster her weapons. She's jumped and the other two
- 55:26Speaker 2: are jumping up and down in panic. You're not supposed
- 55:28Speaker 2: to show panic those in those moments. It's a problem everywhere,
- 55:32Speaker 2: even New York City Police Department. You're forced to hire
- 55:35Speaker 2: people who are you know, too short, too slow, too
- 55:38Speaker 2: fat to this. Uh, you know, they don't look like
- 55:41Speaker 2: Danny Reagan when they're out there in the field.
- 55:43Speaker 19: Let's go to Vincent and Brooklyn. Vincent, how you doing.
- 55:47Speaker 19: Good morning, Mark, Good morning. Apparently Obama doesn't have enough money.
- 55:52Speaker 19: He started a new grift company to make films.
- 55:56Speaker 17: Mark. You noticed they're not releasing the footage of and
- 56:00Speaker 17: the would be assassin ran down the corrida and all
- 56:04Speaker 17: the Secret Service agents ran after him. They're not showing that.
- 56:07Speaker 17: They're not releasing that footage. Mark. Yesterday, the guy who
- 56:14Speaker 17: was wrongfully arrested in the liquor store and beating up
- 56:18Speaker 17: all over here and uh, oh.
- 56:19Speaker 2: I forgot about that. Yeah, that's a big story that
- 56:22Speaker 2: guy's going to get fifty million bucks from the city.
- 56:25Speaker 17: He's suing the city for one hundred million. Get a
- 56:29Speaker 17: car walk.
- 56:30Speaker 2: Away with fifty he'll get fifty minimum twenty five.
- 56:34Speaker 17: And also what came out somebody else had some footage
- 56:37Speaker 17: of that showed the guy was already cuffed and they
- 56:41Speaker 17: laid a couple of more blows on the guy. That's
- 56:45Speaker 17: the icing on the cake mark. Just having been in
- 56:49Speaker 17: those situations many times in my life, whether they're here
- 56:53Speaker 17: in the city, on planes, on buses, on trains, especially
- 56:58Speaker 17: when I'm in Italy, I think those cops they could
- 57:03Speaker 17: avoided a lot of trouble. First off, white in't they
- 57:07Speaker 17: just have wait outside, have two cops on the right
- 57:11Speaker 17: side of the door, two cops on the left side
- 57:14Speaker 17: of the door, a couple of unmarked cars in the street,
- 57:17Speaker 17: and when the guy walked out, they would have said
- 57:20Speaker 17: commit bub bah bah, put the cups on him. Because
- 57:23Speaker 17: had that guy really been a criminal and pulled out
- 57:26Speaker 17: a gun and there was a shootout in his store,
- 57:29Speaker 17: a lot of people, uh got.
- 57:31Speaker 9: What he got hurt.
- 57:32Speaker 2: That's all right, Vincent, great call.
- 57:34Speaker 3: You know.
- 57:34Speaker 2: The problem is the guy that looked exactly like the
- 57:37Speaker 2: description they were looking for, and this is an incredible coincidence.
- 57:40Speaker 2: He was wearing exactly the same green shorts that the
- 57:44Speaker 2: suspect he was wearing the same thing looked the same.
- 57:47Speaker 2: But it's going to be a hell of a lossuit.
- 57:49Speaker 2: They'll settle out of court. If you saw him on camera,
- 57:52Speaker 2: he's a pretty good talker. They don't want to get
- 57:54Speaker 2: that guy in the stand. He's a compelling figure, so
- 57:57Speaker 2: they'll settle with him. Hey, when we come back, and
- 58:00Speaker 2: Culter will be with us next on seven ten, w
- 58:03Speaker 2: o R no.
- 58:05Speaker 1: More Mark Simone on sevent ten wor.
- 58:11Speaker 2: Hey and Culter the best selling author dozens of big
- 58:15Speaker 2: best sellers you should be reading, and also the great columnist,
- 58:18Speaker 2: and of course follow her on Twitter excellent tweets and
- 58:21Speaker 2: even better substack where she's got interviews and podcasts and columns.
- 58:25Speaker 2: It's gonna and Culter dot substack dot com and culter
- 58:30Speaker 2: dot substack dot com and Culter.
- 58:33Speaker 11: How you doing fantastic?
- 58:36Speaker 14: How are you? Mark Simone?
- 58:37Speaker 2: I'm good? H have you been watching these Democrats for
- 58:40Speaker 2: two days? Fawning all over King Charles standing ovations, cheering
- 58:45Speaker 2: what happened to the no Kings?
- 58:52Speaker 14: Actual point?
- 58:53Speaker 11: Mark Simone.
- 58:54Speaker 2: Now they love a king.
- 58:57Speaker 14: It's much like how once he's gone, suddenly they love Reagan.
- 59:02Speaker 14: Oh he's so much better than Bush. And once Bush
- 59:05Speaker 14: has gone, Oh if only we can go back to
- 59:07Speaker 14: the days of Bush. What an honorable man, although I
- 59:10Speaker 14: must say I don't we doing that with Trump. He's
- 59:14Speaker 14: in a class by himself, and for that I salute him.
- 59:17Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 59:18Speaker 2: Well, the only way that works you have to get
- 59:20Speaker 2: somebody worse, you know, somebody even more. He better, He's
- 59:25Speaker 2: gotta be worse than well. From their perspective, listen, lover
- 59:29Speaker 2: hate Trump, you have to admit the greatest thing.
- 59:33Speaker 3: You know.
- 59:33Speaker 2: They attacked Reagan like crazy attack Bush. They attacked It's
- 59:37Speaker 2: just to see a president who's not a politician get
- 59:39Speaker 2: in there and call him names, tell him off, make
- 59:41Speaker 2: fun of them. You got to enjoy that part of it.
- 59:44Speaker 11: I do.
- 59:45Speaker 14: And also I think his response was absolutely correct. After
- 59:51Speaker 14: the White House Correspondence dinner, he was right the show
- 59:55Speaker 14: should have gone on. The guy was pretty far away.
- 59:59Speaker 14: We're all saying, you know, don't let the terrorists win. Actually,
- 1:00:03Speaker 14: I mean it was dramatic. It's it's terrible it all.
- 1:00:06Speaker 14: Of course, all the Democrats fall, but no one was
- 1:00:10Speaker 14: ever in any real danger. I didn't get close to
- 1:00:14Speaker 14: the ballroom. They should have let the show go on.
- 1:00:16Speaker 14: And I'm glad that he has not called for yet
- 1:00:20Speaker 14: more security protocols and TSA at the airport.
- 1:00:25Speaker 2: Yeah, but it was great. Have you been to the
- 1:00:27Speaker 2: White House corresponds dinner?
- 1:00:29Speaker 3: Right?
- 1:00:30Speaker 11: Oh?
- 1:00:30Speaker 9: Yeah?
- 1:00:30Speaker 14: I used to go a lot when I lived in Washington.
- 1:00:32Speaker 2: But you know, everybody went every year thinking this is normal. Now,
- 1:00:36Speaker 2: when you think about it, how could you do that
- 1:00:38Speaker 2: in an open hotel where there's a thousand strangers staying upstairs. Well,
- 1:00:41Speaker 2: you haven't checked their bags or anything. It is kind
- 1:00:43Speaker 2: of a silly thing.
- 1:00:45Speaker 14: Now you think, oh my gosh, it's good. I hope
- 1:00:47Speaker 14: they don't change that. I mean, freak events happen. Of
- 1:00:51Speaker 14: all of the presidential assassination attempts, this one was the
- 1:00:55Speaker 14: most three stooges just I mean, obviously it was dramatic
- 1:01:00Speaker 14: and everyone's paying a lot of attention to it. But
- 1:01:02Speaker 14: the guy at the golf course had a better shot,
- 1:01:05Speaker 14: way better shot the Thomas whatever his name was on
- 1:01:10Speaker 14: the roof. What we what we need is for Democrats
- 1:01:14Speaker 14: to stop calling Trump a fascist, a Nazi, a racist,
- 1:01:21Speaker 14: that's what we really need, and just as a general matter,
- 1:01:24Speaker 14: to lock up criminals and crazy people. But you can't
- 1:01:28Speaker 14: stop every crazy thing. And can you imagine from henceforth
- 1:01:32Speaker 14: any place where the president is expected, you know, over
- 1:01:35Speaker 14: the next week, we're going to have to have our
- 1:01:37Speaker 14: bag search. It's going to be TSA. No, it won't,
- 1:01:40Speaker 14: it won't, it won't. No, no, no.
- 1:01:42Speaker 2: Now the guy takes the train all the way from Calvin.
- 1:01:45Speaker 2: You see why would he take Now you start to read, well,
- 1:01:47Speaker 2: there's no TSA. They don't check bags to get on
- 1:01:49Speaker 2: a train. Now, every nut job is going to get
- 1:01:52Speaker 2: on a train if they're going to transport anything.
- 1:01:55Speaker 14: So oh please don't make them put TSA on trains.
- 1:01:58Speaker 14: And we're all going to drive and we're all gonna
- 1:02:00Speaker 14: die driving because flying is safe for trains are safe for. No. No,
- 1:02:06Speaker 14: you can't stop every bad thing from happening. Just nothing
- 1:02:10Speaker 14: bad happened.
- 1:02:11Speaker 2: Yeah, so hey, let me ask you about we're talking
- 1:02:16Speaker 2: about this. Earlier this week. The idea was you open
- 1:02:19Speaker 2: the borders, you bring in a million immigrants. The Democrats
- 1:02:22Speaker 2: think will get millions and millions and new Democrats that'll
- 1:02:26Speaker 2: help us. But it turns out as you always point
- 1:02:28Speaker 2: out they're third world Democrats. They don't like Republicans, and
- 1:02:31Speaker 2: they don't like these Democrats. They want like really far
- 1:02:35Speaker 2: left stuff. So in the end, it screwed up the
- 1:02:37Speaker 2: Democratic Party.
- 1:02:38Speaker 14: Right, Yes, I mean it's more than how left wing
- 1:02:44Speaker 14: they are. They don't want any white Democrats, as has
- 1:02:49Speaker 14: been pointed out. I think it was the President of Indonesia.
- 1:02:52Speaker 14: I forget what his name was, but years ago he said,
- 1:02:54Speaker 14: we were not bringing in we're blocking immigration. Because when
- 1:02:58Speaker 14: you have a multi ethnic society, people stop voting on
- 1:03:02Speaker 14: on their their on issues, on ideology, they vote their race.
- 1:03:08Speaker 14: And that is absolutely what you see in this country.
- 1:03:10Speaker 14: The only people who can vote to meetings and you know, oh,
- 1:03:14Speaker 14: what's the issue. What does this candidate say are white
- 1:03:17Speaker 14: voters and the vast majority of the other voters of
- 1:03:21Speaker 14: every ethnic group, they're voting with their ethnic group. You
- 1:03:25Speaker 14: see it in California most of all. I mean, it's
- 1:03:27Speaker 14: not it's not like liberal Democrats or moderate Democrats, certainly,
- 1:03:32Speaker 14: no Republicans at all. It's uh, you know, the the
- 1:03:36Speaker 14: Mexican Democrats, the Asian Democrats, the Indian Democrats, and and
- 1:03:43Speaker 14: look at all these congressional districts. Why what the whole
- 1:03:46Speaker 14: biting Voting Rights Act is premised on the idea that
- 1:03:49Speaker 14: black people will only vote for a black person. They
- 1:03:52Speaker 14: want a black person. That was a big thing after
- 1:03:55Speaker 14: Hillary ran with white Tim Kaine as or vice president.
- 1:04:00Speaker 14: Remember the big movement, This is the last time we
- 1:04:02Speaker 14: vote for an all white ticket.
- 1:04:04Speaker 2: Yeah. So, but also you get like these Momdani voters.
- 1:04:08Speaker 2: They're all immigrants who are far far far left.
- 1:04:12Speaker 14: And yes, that's true too.
- 1:04:14Speaker 2: Push is the old Chuck Schumer guys. They all have
- 1:04:16Speaker 2: to now pretend they're really far left. And they look
- 1:04:20Speaker 2: ridiculous trying to do that, don't.
- 1:04:21Speaker 11: They m h And it won't work.
- 1:04:24Speaker 14: They're still light. This is the end of the white Democrats.
- 1:04:28Speaker 14: I mean, notice how old they all are, from you know, Pelosi,
- 1:04:31Speaker 14: Dive Fi, Stenny Hoyer, Chuck Schumer. Their average age is
- 1:04:37Speaker 14: dead and that's the end of them, Biden, that's why
- 1:04:42Speaker 14: they have to hold on. You'll notice that the average
- 1:04:44Speaker 14: age of Republicans is far, far younger. All you know,
- 1:04:48Speaker 14: the Marco Ruby moves from Mike Lee's and so on
- 1:04:51Speaker 14: and so forth. Our average age, I bet you is
- 1:04:56Speaker 14: at least a decade. I haven't looked this up but
- 1:05:00Speaker 14: below that of the Democrats. But I mean, I'm talking
- 1:05:03Speaker 14: about more senators because who knows who's in the House.
- 1:05:07Speaker 14: And that's because this is they have to desperately hold
- 1:05:10Speaker 14: on and keep pushing them up and doing the weekend
- 1:05:12Speaker 14: at Bernie thing. Otherwise it's AOC's and among Damie's all
- 1:05:17Speaker 14: the way down.
- 1:05:18Speaker 2: Yeah. Uh, it's just I mean, it's just gets crazier
- 1:05:22Speaker 2: and crazier. Hey, there's this idea somebody suggested to President Trump.
- 1:05:26Speaker 2: The ICE is Immigration Customs Enforcement. Change the name to
- 1:05:31Speaker 2: National Immigration Customs Enforcement. That way it would be nice,
- 1:05:34Speaker 2: not ice, and put nice, put nice on all their
- 1:05:39Speaker 2: uniforms on their hat. It's a great idea of that. Yeah,
- 1:05:43Speaker 2: he's all for it. He's trying to get this done.
- 1:05:45Speaker 2: It'll be called nice from now on.
- 1:05:48Speaker 14: That's fantastic. I love that.
- 1:05:53Speaker 17: Well.
- 1:05:53Speaker 14: I do wish they would get I mean, the one
- 1:05:55Speaker 14: thing I maybe Republicans are just this is their negotiating strategy,
- 1:06:00Speaker 14: pretending no, we will accept none of your demands. They
- 1:06:03Speaker 14: should definitely get the body cameras. That has been the
- 1:06:07Speaker 14: biggest boon for police, I mean probably since I don't know,
- 1:06:13Speaker 14: since since working patrol cars. Uh, you used to have
- 1:06:18Speaker 14: I write about this periodically, used to have all these
- 1:06:21Speaker 14: cases of especially black lady professors.
- 1:06:25Speaker 11: I've noticed.
- 1:06:26Speaker 14: It was a really big one at Princeton. It was
- 1:06:28Speaker 14: really ugly and they get stopped by police officer. They
- 1:06:33Speaker 14: get take to Facebook or Instagram, Twitter and start talking
- 1:06:36Speaker 14: about this this brutal racist cop and make up you know,
- 1:06:39Speaker 14: utterly fanciful stories and there's a huge investigation. The cops
- 1:06:43Speaker 14: are life is about to be destroyed. And then haha,
- 1:06:45Speaker 14: he was wearing a body camera and invariably they were,
- 1:06:49Speaker 14: you know, lackably polite. They're major traffic violations. This has
- 1:06:54Speaker 14: saved cops over and over and over again. Ice agents
- 1:06:59Speaker 14: should well having body cameras.
- 1:07:02Speaker 2: Yeah, many times, the poor victim it turns out there
- 1:07:04Speaker 2: are some councilwoman who is screaming at the cop, threatening
- 1:07:08Speaker 2: the cop, calling them all kinds of names. Uh, it's yeah,
- 1:07:11Speaker 2: it's a very everybody should wear body cams. You know,
- 1:07:13Speaker 2: everybody will be pretty soon. Apparently, Uh, somewhere in the
- 1:07:18Speaker 2: Apple they're working on a body cam that everybody will wear.
- 1:07:22Speaker 2: It's a little like a little thing. It's like a
- 1:07:24Speaker 2: pin you'll put on your lapel. It will record everything
- 1:07:26Speaker 2: you do all day.
- 1:07:29Speaker 14: I would love that.
- 1:07:34Speaker 2: Well, they think it'll be the next big thing. That way,
- 1:07:36Speaker 2: you won't have to stop and take a selfie. Whatever
- 1:07:38Speaker 2: you saw or did, it'll be in there. You can
- 1:07:41Speaker 2: just go later and look at it and take it
- 1:07:42Speaker 2: out of there.
- 1:07:43Speaker 14: Oh no, I'm thinking about arguments with boyfriends.
- 1:07:45Speaker 2: Oh well, you you're going, yeah, you're definitely gonna need that.
- 1:07:54Speaker 14: That would be fantastic. You have an excellent memory.
- 1:07:58Speaker 2: Yeah. Well, everybody follow and culture on Twitter. Great stuff there,
- 1:08:03Speaker 2: and substack has become a great thing, right, a great
- 1:08:05Speaker 2: medium for as.
- 1:08:08Speaker 14: Oh my gosh, I almost forgot to mention, I'm doing

- 1:08:25Speaker 14: get there. But I'm interviewing the brilliant great John Tiranny
- 1:08:29Speaker 14: from the v Journal Manhattan and soo. He's written just
- 1:08:33Speaker 14: one fantastic book after another. But one of his books,
- 1:08:35Speaker 14: in particular, The Power of Bad, I think has a
- 1:08:38Speaker 14: lot of relevance this week. Oh, and then I'll stick
- 1:08:41Speaker 14: around and answer any questions people have.
- 1:08:44Speaker 2: All right, everybody check that out. If you forget, just
