  Speaker 1: First thing in our day, the best way to start

  Speaker 1: any day, time with God.

  Speaker 1: What do we mean by that?
• 0:20
  Speaker 1: We mean that we stop and become aware. Yes, God
• 0:26
  Speaker 1: is here with me wherever I am. He is here
• 0:31
  Speaker 1: and He wants to speak into my life. He's full
• 0:34
  Speaker 1: of love for me and He wants to get involved.
• 0:39
  Speaker 1: If he speaks so often to us through His word,
• 0:44
  Speaker 1: the Bible.
• 0:45
  Speaker 1: And so right now we want to read a passage
• 0:47
  Speaker 1: as we look at our theme this week of God's grace.

  Speaker 1: We read from Philippians chapter 3 yesterday and today Philippians
• 0:55
  Speaker 1: chapter 2, which starts off like this.

  Speaker 1: If therefore there is any encouragement in Christ.

  Speaker 1: If there is any consolation of love, if there is
• 1:07
  Speaker 1: any fellowship of the spirit, if any affection and compassion,
• 1:13
  Speaker 1: make my joy complete by being of the same mind,
• 1:17
  Speaker 1: maintaining the same love, united in spirit, intent on one purpose.

  Speaker 1: Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit, but with humility
• 1:30
  Speaker 1: of mind let each of you regard one another as
• 1:35
  Speaker 1: more important than himself.

  Speaker 1: Um, who can live that way?

  Speaker 1: Well, he goes on, do not merely look out for
• 1:43
  Speaker 1: your own personal interests.

  Speaker 1: But also for the interests of others and then listen.

  Speaker 1: Have this attitude in yourselves which was also in Christ Jesus.

  Speaker 1: Jesus was so different from our natural inclinations.

  Speaker 1: Which was also in Christ Jesus who although he existed

  Speaker 1: in the form of God did not regard equality with

  Speaker 1: God a thing to be grasped, a thing to be

  Speaker 1: held on to tightly.

  Speaker 1: But emptied himself, taking the form of a bond servant

  Speaker 1: and being made in the likeness of men and being

  Speaker 1: found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself by

  Speaker 1: becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on
• 2:37
  Speaker 1: a cross.

  Speaker 1: Therefore, also God highly exalted Him and bestowed on Him

  Speaker 1: the name which is above every name, that at the
• 2:48
  Speaker 1: name of Jesus every knee should bow of those who
• 2:52
  Speaker 1: are in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
• 2:56
  Speaker 1: and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is

  Speaker 1: Lord to the glory of God the Father.

  Speaker 1: Jesus

  Speaker 1: He was God, but he didn't regard that position something
• 3:12
  Speaker 1: just to be held on to and clung to. He
• 3:15
  Speaker 1: emptied himself. He chose to become a man, to live
• 3:19
  Speaker 1: life like us, so that he could become our representative
• 3:23
  Speaker 1: before God the Father.

  Speaker 1: And then he even went to the point.

  Speaker 1: Of death on the cross.

  Speaker 1: For us
• 3:35
  Speaker 1: So we could find forgiveness.

  Speaker 1: And that's why God the Father so highly exalted Him
• 3:42
  Speaker 1: and gave Him the name which is above every name
• 3:44
  Speaker 1: that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow.

  Speaker 1: Do you see what Jesus Christ has done for you,
• 3:52
  Speaker 1: for you?
• 3:54
  Speaker 1: He died on the cross for you. He left his
• 3:58
  Speaker 1: glory and became a man. For you. He suffered so terribly.

  Speaker 1: For you, He took all the sin of the world
• 4:08
  Speaker 1: on himself and faced the anger and judgement of God
• 4:13
  Speaker 1: that
• 4:14
  Speaker 1: was due to us.
• 4:16
  Speaker 1: And for you he died.
• 4:20
  Speaker 1: But he rose from the dead and he's alive today
• 4:23
  Speaker 1: and he's reaching out to you with love and saying,
• 4:27
  Speaker 1: won't you put your trust in me? I've proven to
• 4:29
  Speaker 1: you I'm trustworthy that I really love you.
• 4:33
  Speaker 1: Trust in me and receive the forgiveness that I purchased
• 4:37
  Speaker 1: for you at such a great cost.
• 4:40
  Speaker 1: Turn to God right now and say thank you Lord.
• 4:44
  Speaker 1: I receive your forgiveness. I give you my life. Please
• 4:48
  Speaker 1: remake it the way you want to.
• 4:53
