- 0:48[SPEAKER_03]: He's the man of the left, my truck has ripped them all around.
- 0:50[SPEAKER_03]: What's up, guys?

- 0:57[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I'm a little biased.
- 0:58[SPEAKER_00]: But yes, Kurn, you delayed on me there.
- 1:01[SPEAKER_00]: Come on.
- 1:01[SPEAKER_03]: No, I was just letting Bubba speak.
- 1:03[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, we walk in confidently, boys.
- 1:05[SPEAKER_03]: We're at best.
- 1:07[SPEAKER_03]: Hey, no, I'm not making a line.
- 1:08[SPEAKER_03]: Nobody knows more foam in the three of us here.
- 1:11[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, there's a lot of knowledge.
- 1:12[SPEAKER_01]: There's a lot of knowledge.
- 1:13[SPEAKER_01]: There is a lot of knowledge, but nationally, good looks and a lot of knowledge.
- 1:17[SPEAKER_03]: Can't say, we're not that we don't know the most.
- 1:19[SPEAKER_01]: We're still learning every day, just like everybody else.
- 1:21[SPEAKER_01]: Absolutely.
- 1:22[SPEAKER_01]: Well, boys, it is always good to be with you fellas.
- 1:25[SPEAKER_01]: And, you know, this has become such kind of a routine for us.
- 1:28[SPEAKER_01]: And it's like it's something in my week that I, that I look forward to to unplug a little bit in the normal.
- 1:33[SPEAKER_01]: busyness of life and we hope that our listeners feel the same, you know, these episodes come out on Wednesday morning, we have a lot of folks who are like, man, I'm looking forward to Wednesdays, what are the boys talking about today?
- 1:42[SPEAKER_01]: So we kind of treat this like, you know, we're all hanging out, you know, in the lobby of a hotel or in the, you know, at the club, we don't go to the club anymore, but you know what I'm saying, hanging out, just talking about cards.
- 1:57[SPEAKER_06]: Well, I didn't see him was in the club like a week or two ago like all the sudden like I I don't follow many like personal Instagrams, but Ham's got a personal Instagram And he was like in a bar or something on like a problem.
- 2:08[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, that's what I do my I'm not preaching.
- 2:09[SPEAKER_05]: I might look at look at him at a bar on a Friday afternoon and preaching it He's like all the locals that way.
- 2:16[SPEAKER_05]: He's got like three beers in his hand like hell.
- 2:18[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, I'm there You go let it loose, bud
- 2:20[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, we actually, it is good.
- 2:22[SPEAKER_01]: We do our faith in business.
- 2:24[SPEAKER_01]: We do our faith in business meetings literally at a bar.
- 2:26[SPEAKER_01]: I love it.
- 2:27[SPEAKER_01]: They get bent that thing.
- 2:28[SPEAKER_01]: Oh man, that's so good.
- 2:29[SPEAKER_01]: Well boys, we kick off with a roundtable.
- 2:31[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm going to lead off today and then let you you boys fall in suit.
- 2:36[SPEAKER_01]: And so we'll kind of get to see you around table.
- 2:38[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, it is funny you talk about being in a bar.
- 2:41[SPEAKER_01]: So once a month, we do our faith in business meetings.
- 2:43[SPEAKER_01]: That was last weekend here, Wilmington and in Raleigh.
- 2:47[SPEAKER_01]: Those weeks are always busy for me.
- 2:49[SPEAKER_01]: because I'm traveling, I'm entertaining, I'm kind of, you know, seeing a lot of people and stuff.
- 2:54[SPEAKER_01]: And I told my wife, I've been really good lately about being in rhythm, you know, waking up, having a little workout, getting my mindset right.
- 3:02[SPEAKER_01]: But those weeks are always extra tough because, you know, it's just busy.
- 3:07[SPEAKER_01]: And it's not an excuse, it's a reality, but at the same time, I felt out of rhythm last week, you know, missed my workouts and this week, I'm kind of trying to play ketchup.
- 3:17[SPEAKER_01]: really wanting to get back in a rhythm, but that being said on the personal side we've got one more week of high school baseball for a little map uh... that is taken up so much of our time two three games a week practice every night just that drama and uh... i mean i i i should have invested in like uber for your children i don't know if that exists but
- 3:38[SPEAKER_01]: I would gladly pay for somebody to go get my kids and take them wherever they need to go, because this is like we got one on this side of town finish and baseball practice.
- 3:47[SPEAKER_01]: The others are going to basketball practice on this side of town.
- 3:49[SPEAKER_01]: My daughter's got a rehearsal over here.
- 3:51[SPEAKER_03]: It's like it's called a chauffeur.
- 3:54[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I know a chauffeur.
- 3:56[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, blow the chauffeur.
- 3:57[SPEAKER_00]: Show hey.
- 3:58[SPEAKER_00]: That's like, I don't like it.
- 4:00[SPEAKER_00]: You said it's chauffeur.
- 4:03[SPEAKER_00]: It's chauffeur.
- 4:03[SPEAKER_00]: It's chauffeur.
- 4:04[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, we also, if I could blow a chauffeur and a chauffeur would show up and just take my kids wherever they need to go.
- 4:12[SPEAKER_01]: So far, man.
- 4:13[SPEAKER_01]: So anyway, the the hamhouse has been.
- 4:17[SPEAKER_01]: a bit out of control as far as as all of that is concerned.
- 4:22[SPEAKER_01]: But we've we've got the the light at the end of the tunnel bubble you said that before the episode and I'm definitely feeling like there's a little bit of a light at the end of the tunnel.
- 4:30[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm gladly anticipating a day where we have a bit of breathing room.
- 4:35[SPEAKER_01]: on the card front, bought a cool card this week and your boys would be proud of me.
- 4:40[SPEAKER_01]: All of my 90s boys, listeners, fans, hobbyists out there, about a 1993, tops, finest, refractor, Barry Bonds.
- 4:53[SPEAKER_01]: Well, yeah.
- 4:54[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 4:55[SPEAKER_01]: So picked up a little bonds in the PC is funny.
- 4:58[SPEAKER_01]: I don't even own that card of ripkin.
- 5:00[SPEAKER_01]: It's one I've looked for forever.
- 5:02[SPEAKER_01]: And I've just kept missing it.
- 5:03[SPEAKER_01]: But picked up a bonds refractor.
- 5:06[SPEAKER_01]: We'll see what kind of condition it's in.
- 5:19[SPEAKER_01]: We had our three largest single card sales and that's pretty wild to consider that they all happened in the same month And so it's been a big month for us from the standpoint of the business side of things and it puts some cash in the pocket to start looking at You know PC stuff where we want to go next with that and then like everybody on the show and all of our listeners were kind of like waiting in the wings to see what happens next So yeah
- 5:42[SPEAKER_03]: I picture I picture the hamhouse like on Friday nights like after the faith in business getting in a circle with like a fire in the middle and they just go And house And I can see jump up in cheer.
- 5:57[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, I just like that you make me feel like we're a Doyle rules exactly I'm gonna punch you when I see
- 6:10[SPEAKER_00]: All right, turn.
- 6:11[SPEAKER_00]: You're up next buddy.
- 6:12[SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
- 6:13[SPEAKER_03]: Um, what's going on in my world?
- 6:15[SPEAKER_03]: I am, uh, I'm much man.
- 6:17[SPEAKER_03]: Like, I, you know, I feel like it's this for me.
- 6:19[SPEAKER_03]: It's the same thing every week.
- 6:20[SPEAKER_03]: Like, I'm, I'm just like sticking to my routine.
- 6:23[SPEAKER_03]: I'm in a good routine here.
- 6:24[SPEAKER_03]: Um, I'm really, um,
- 6:28[SPEAKER_03]: into, I mean, I'm very busy at work.
- 6:31[SPEAKER_03]: So that's a good thing, giving me busy.
- 6:34[SPEAKER_03]: I have not spent a whole lot of time on cards or anything, but like I'm really just following these minor leagueers and watching Major League games.
- 6:43[SPEAKER_03]: Like I'm really just following my guys, you know.
- 6:46[SPEAKER_03]: And the guy I tend to follow the most, um, I don't know why, but there's always one guy every year.
- 6:52[SPEAKER_03]: I follow the most in the minor leagues and it's for whatever reason it's been Luis Pena and he's absolutely crushing but I've enjoyed watching him the most, um, and the major leagues it's been Junior Caminaro.
- 7:02[SPEAKER_03]: The meds are not bringing me any excitement to see something needs to change.
- 7:07[SPEAKER_03]: Maybe it'll change by the time this airs on Wednesday, maybe Mendoza will be gone, maybe they're hitting coach will be gone.
- 7:12[SPEAKER_03]: Not that that's going to just fix things, right?
- 7:14[SPEAKER_03]: But it just doesn't make any sense to me.
- 7:16[SPEAKER_03]: I think it's just a chemistry issue.
- 7:19[SPEAKER_03]: And it's really boggles my mind if the second highest payroll in the major leagues, and they have the worst tied for the worst record in the major leagues.
- 7:29[SPEAKER_03]: Like it just doesn't make any sense.
- 7:31[SPEAKER_03]: They have all the talent in the world.
- 7:32[SPEAKER_03]: And I say this because it really does bother me.
- 7:34[SPEAKER_03]: I'm a huge fan.
- 7:35[SPEAKER_03]: I've been a fan since I'm two years old.
- 7:36[SPEAKER_03]: And it just nothing changes.
- 7:39[SPEAKER_03]: nothing changes.
- 7:40[SPEAKER_03]: I will say there's people that hate on Steve Cohen and David Sanders like I still a faith in them.
- 7:44[SPEAKER_03]: I do it.
- 7:45[SPEAKER_03]: I think David stars a very very good GM and he will be it will be fine.
- 7:49[SPEAKER_03]: They will be fine.
- 7:50[SPEAKER_03]: Steve Cohen as the money.
- 7:51[SPEAKER_03]: David Serns has a brains.
- 7:52[SPEAKER_03]: I do believe in them.
- 7:55[SPEAKER_03]: Probably amongst the minority there.
- 7:57[SPEAKER_03]: But I had I from a card standpoint.
- 8:01[SPEAKER_03]: I've
- 8:02[SPEAKER_03]: I had a couple of Grails graded this week that I'm getting back today in the mail, and I'm really excited to see I'll probably post those You know the grades.
- 8:11[SPEAKER_03]: I know the grades.
- 8:12[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, and these are in cards.
- 8:13[SPEAKER_03]: These are PC cards, but can you link a copy?
- 8:17[SPEAKER_03]: Sure.
- 8:18[SPEAKER_03]: I'll link one.
- 8:19[SPEAKER_03]: I'll link one.
- 8:20[SPEAKER_03]: It's a Mike Trout Hope Diamond
- 8:24[SPEAKER_03]: Signed it'll be it's a pop one that will remain a pop one forever.
- 8:29[SPEAKER_03]: Card is I mean that card is like an iconic card for triathlon rookie card
- 8:33[SPEAKER_03]: What's that?
- 8:34[SPEAKER_01]: Do you double dime it?
- 8:35[SPEAKER_03]: No, no, no, no.
- 8:36[SPEAKER_03]: So I cracked it out of a nine.
- 8:38[SPEAKER_03]: It came back in eight with an auto 10.
- 8:41[SPEAKER_03]: But I'm gonna say, don't care.
- 8:42[SPEAKER_03]: So going anywhere.
- 8:43[SPEAKER_03]: Like I don't care.
- 8:44[SPEAKER_03]: It really doesn't matter to me.
- 8:45[SPEAKER_03]: And the other card I'll share at it a separate time.
- 8:48[SPEAKER_03]: I think you guys have, I think Matt has seen it maybe.
- 8:51[SPEAKER_03]: But other than that, like my weekend was good.
- 8:54[SPEAKER_03]: I enjoyed some time with the kids.
- 8:56[SPEAKER_03]: I went swimming down, I would down Brooklyn at some friend's house.
- 9:01[SPEAKER_03]: What's that?
- 9:03[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, he just sunk like a stone.
- 9:06[SPEAKER_03]: It's been good.
- 9:09[SPEAKER_03]: It's been a lot of time with my my beautiful wife and my three amazing kids.
- 9:15[SPEAKER_03]: And that's about it.
- 9:17[SPEAKER_03]: And bubble.
- 9:17[SPEAKER_03]: What's up with you?
- 9:18[SPEAKER_06]: The grind continues in the Wilson household.
- 9:22[SPEAKER_06]: Stocking to Kern was
- 9:24[SPEAKER_06]: off there for a second there before we start it was talking to him there for a second and told him like man it is uh I don't think people don't realize when you've got four kids and all of them have something going on it is uh it is tough when it's on your weekends specifically and we had three kids playing baseball uh as normal and then last weekend my four-year-old daughter had her first dance recital so uh trying to be at four different places at one time just not possible and so
- 9:50[SPEAKER_06]: We literally like Ham said if we had a service we could start for all of our kids it would be great if I could just teleport from one place to the next and we're depending on friends, neighbors, grandparents, anything we can they get people where they got to go and then you get back to Monday and you're back to the grind for school and so.
- 10:13[SPEAKER_06]: We got about three weeks of that left here at the Wilson household before schools out here in the Georgia and so, and then we'll, and then my youngest son is also going to be done with baseball on about three weeks and I do want to shout his team out the rake nine you.
- 10:28[SPEAKER_06]: here in George I coach that team with and we're giving shout outs to nine under given to our nine you shouting out two straight tournament we won in a row proud of those guys.
- 10:46[SPEAKER_06]: Will.
- 10:47[SPEAKER_06]: Yes, that's it.
- 10:48[SPEAKER_06]: That is what we do.
- 10:49[SPEAKER_06]: But I will say this.
- 10:50[SPEAKER_06]: I do want to say this about that.
- 10:52[SPEAKER_06]: Watching nine-year-olds play the game is so refreshing because they just love the game.
- 10:59[SPEAKER_06]: There's no money involved.
- 11:01[SPEAKER_06]: There's no, there's no worry about their stats.
- 11:04[SPEAKER_06]: They just love being out there and they love playing the game.
- 11:07[SPEAKER_06]: If you ever just want to like if you lose your passion for this game at any point where you're losing your passion for baseball,
- 11:13[SPEAKER_06]: good or a local little league game and watch some nine or eight-year-olds play because they just love the game.
- 11:20[SPEAKER_06]: And it's so refreshing to me to see it, you know, to see them coming up.
- 11:24[SPEAKER_06]: And this is kind of like my last son coming through in baseball.
- 11:28[SPEAKER_06]: So I'm trying to tell you that that's thinking that like the last true love of baseball before there's the pressure of getting older.
- 11:34[SPEAKER_06]: And so that's kind of cool.
- 11:36[SPEAKER_06]: Just having another kid.
- 11:38[SPEAKER_06]: We're thinking about it and maybe this afternoon, you know, uh, maybe label lunar.
- 11:43[SPEAKER_06]: Maybe we'll get started.
- 11:44[SPEAKER_06]: I don't know.
- 11:45[SPEAKER_06]: Uh, on the personal front, uh, big week for me this week, uh, turn and 40 this week, uh, turn 40 this Saturday, uh, kind of a weird time in a man's life.
- 11:56[SPEAKER_06]: Oh, a tech 40.
- 11:57[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, could I could I come in a club?
- 12:00[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, May 2nd when I come back next week, I'm out frosted tips.
- 12:03[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, I might look like a little Hulk Hogan at a revolts to drive into the pot on the Harley with frosted tips.
- 12:08[SPEAKER_06]: You really never know.
- 12:10[SPEAKER_06]: Couldn't be a midlife crisis that starts this Saturday when I wake up.
- 12:13[SPEAKER_06]: don't know.
- 12:14[SPEAKER_06]: If I dunk my head in some bleach, come back or frosted tips, y'all will know.
- 12:18[SPEAKER_06]: That'll be your answer.
- 12:21[SPEAKER_06]: But outside of that, buying, I feel like it's really about to commence.
- 12:26[SPEAKER_06]: We've been ringing the register as Ham talked about earlier on the business front.
- 12:31[SPEAKER_06]: I've rang the register a good bit here the last couple months, kind of coming up in the season.
- 12:37[SPEAKER_06]: And honestly, taking some opportunities on some of this
- 12:42[SPEAKER_06]: kind of stash for a long time and I'll call him stashes mean I really hung on to him because it was like dang I spent a lot of money on this card in this guy's and perform when I'm getting guys that start to perform they're gone I mean there's no more holding on to him it's and so that's kind of where I'm at getting ready cards that I've been holding on to for a while at any opportunity and uh starting to kind of figure out like who is next what is that next by who is that next by I think I started to kind of compile that um
- 13:09[SPEAKER_06]: So, that's kind of where I'm at there and one other thing I am kind of doing on the personal front and Ham talked about as well, I've decided that when I make money, it sports cards going forward because I don't need to live on that money.
- 13:20[SPEAKER_06]: It's not my full-time job.
- 13:22[SPEAKER_06]: It's something I do for fun and it's kind of an investment.
- 13:26[SPEAKER_06]: I'm going to put my profits going forward into Babe Ruth.
- 13:31[SPEAKER_06]: I want to own every Babe Ruth card.
- 13:35[SPEAKER_06]: from like 1950, but I want every single variety of it I can get.
- 13:39[SPEAKER_06]: I want every single Bay Route card in existence.
- 13:42[SPEAKER_06]: I don't think necessarily even care about the grade.
- 13:45[SPEAKER_06]: I want to own every single one of them.
- 13:47[SPEAKER_06]: And I just think that's a really cool kind of journey to start on.
- 13:50[SPEAKER_06]: And so I've started that journey.
- 13:51[SPEAKER_06]: I've probably bought,
- 13:53[SPEAKER_06]: 50.
- 13:54[SPEAKER_06]: I would say in the last month.
- 13:56[SPEAKER_03]: I'm up 30 times in the cards.
- 13:58[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, are we talking modern baby roof like these like retro fracker kind of thing?
- 14:02[SPEAKER_06]: No, 1950 and before like I mean, like true like vintage old.
- 14:08[SPEAKER_06]: But I thought it was friends.
- 14:10[SPEAKER_01]: Let's do that.
- 14:11[SPEAKER_01]: I thought we were friends.
- 14:12[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, you know, it would be nice to just get a little text picture like, hey, I'm check out what I picked up today instead I got to get on the show and like, I bought 50.
- 14:24[SPEAKER_06]: Well, if you think they've worth these, these get unveiled when the collection is complete.
- 14:29[SPEAKER_06]: Okay, I want to journey and right now honestly when I'm buying them majority of them are just kind of like I haven't even seen them.
- 14:36[SPEAKER_06]: I haven't held them yet.
- 14:37[SPEAKER_06]: You know, I don't do that.
- 14:38[SPEAKER_06]: I don't do like the whole like putting cards over my bed and pull the loop out the side me.
- 14:42[SPEAKER_06]: I just don't do that.
- 14:43[SPEAKER_06]: Okay, it's just not I'm just a guy, but what I finish is this collection.
- 14:50[SPEAKER_06]: Um, then I do want to kind of have it enshrined and have it out there because that is I think that's going to be a cool moment and uh, I just think it's honestly if you look at Babe Ruth, I think he's the closest thing to gold as you can get like truly something that over time is going to continue to hold value.
- 15:17[SPEAKER_01]: I've been watching, I've been watching Heritage, I was watching R.E.A.
- 15:21[SPEAKER_01]: Have watched all these algids and like this Bay Brewster are moving here, and now we know.
- 15:26[SPEAKER_00]: The war is in the field.
- 15:29[SPEAKER_06]: No, I'm not forming the big stuff like that, man.
- 15:32[SPEAKER_06]: I'm kind of picking off the stuff known else is looking at.
- 15:35[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, it's at any 33 gouties that you put yet.
- 15:38[SPEAKER_06]: No, we have.
- 15:41[SPEAKER_01]: We've got the one 33.
- 15:42[SPEAKER_01]: I've actually been looking for a 33 gotty red back.
- 15:44[SPEAKER_01]: And it's just a great card.
- 15:47[SPEAKER_01]: Here to chat one the other night it ended at like 10 5.
- 15:50[SPEAKER_01]: It was just a little bit.
- 15:50[SPEAKER_01]: I'll be honest to one of the things about this little side note.
- 15:53[SPEAKER_01]: When I'm buying vintage like that, I really like to buy it in person and it's hard.
- 15:59[SPEAKER_01]: But I really like to buy it in person because I like to kind of.
- 16:01[SPEAKER_03]: I get that.
- 16:02[SPEAKER_01]: seeing the nuance of the card, you know, and sometimes on some of these auction sites, it could be tough.
- 16:07[SPEAKER_01]: But Baba, I'm actually, I'm super proud.
- 16:09[SPEAKER_01]: I'm really excited for you.
- 16:11[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm looking forward to coming down to the farm and seeing the Babe Ruth display.
- 16:16[SPEAKER_01]: And just know that there's a little part of me that influenced us.
- 16:19[SPEAKER_06]: Well, boys, in all seriousness, we always try to hope we get the invite to New York.
- 16:24[SPEAKER_06]: Never going to happen.
- 16:25[SPEAKER_06]: We don't get invited to the Hamptons, but I'm going to invite current down.
- 16:28[SPEAKER_06]: We're building a new house, sports car CEO field will be there.
- 16:31[SPEAKER_06]: We'll get the ribbon cutting there, but then when we get it done, hopefully sometime when the babe collection's done, we'll just do a live podcast with the babe collection on the field.
- 16:47[SPEAKER_06]: I'm going to try to construct in my next hour and I'm in.
- 16:50[SPEAKER_06]: I'm in.
- 16:51[SPEAKER_01]: We love it.
- 16:52[SPEAKER_01]: We love it.
- 16:52[SPEAKER_01]: Well, boys, let's jump into this week's episode.
- 16:56[SPEAKER_01]: We got some cool things to share and certainly something to talk about.
- 16:59[SPEAKER_01]: So before we share, we got a listener question here.
- 17:02[SPEAKER_01]: When it, when I remind our folks, if you want to call into the show, you can.
- 17:05[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm going to give you a special link to do that here in a moment.
- 17:08[SPEAKER_01]: But we get, we do have a listener question.
- 17:10[SPEAKER_01]: But here's the deal.
- 17:11[SPEAKER_01]: We.
- 17:12[SPEAKER_01]: have launched a website, boys, the sports cards CEO.com is now live up and running and I'll be honest, pretty proud.
- 17:20[SPEAKER_01]: It looks really, really good.
- 17:22[SPEAKER_01]: We have an amazing web designer.
- 17:24[SPEAKER_06]: Tommy, I'm being serious, current is like, like, it's really shockingly how good he is.
- 17:30[SPEAKER_06]: I think he might really be, he's been telling us what his business he does.
- 17:33[SPEAKER_06]: I think he's a web designer.
- 17:34[SPEAKER_06]: I'm really pretty sure of that.
- 17:36[SPEAKER_06]: He's like, hey, guys, it's one of my strengths.
- 17:39[SPEAKER_06]: Hey, guys, this weekend, I build us a website.
- 17:41[SPEAKER_06]: and if I get on there, I'll make it like do this thing's going to look like a nineteen ninety two like I mean it was a week in but you know but yeah it looks pretty darn good man I can't really really proud of that man.
- 17:53[SPEAKER_06]: He looks awesome.
- 17:54[SPEAKER_01]: Dude I hope that yeah go on man.
- 17:55[SPEAKER_01]: Well I was just going to say did the same man.
- 17:57[SPEAKER_01]: It looks really good.
- 17:58[SPEAKER_01]: You can tell that you put some heart and soul into it.
- 18:00[SPEAKER_01]: It just
- 18:01[SPEAKER_01]: You know, I felt it when I, when I saw it, I was like, man, this is what this thing is about.
- 18:05[SPEAKER_01]: You know, this whole thing's a passion project.
- 18:07[SPEAKER_01]: You could tell you really cared about it, put it in, put it a lot into it.
- 18:09[SPEAKER_01]: And it really speaks for who we are, man.
- 18:12[SPEAKER_01]: What we offer, size one, say thank you.
- 18:13[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 18:13[SPEAKER_03]: And there's going to be some stuff on there.
- 18:15[SPEAKER_03]: And that's that's to come that we're going to be discussing.
- 18:17[SPEAKER_03]: But we'll have some some moments sleepers in there that we update weekly.
- 18:22[SPEAKER_03]: Um,
- 18:23[SPEAKER_03]: We have the latest videos for the pod embedded into their, uh, we started listing some cards of hours, uh, that you can buy through the website.
- 18:32[SPEAKER_03]: So it's going to be pretty cool.
- 18:33[SPEAKER_03]: There's a lot of cool stuff to come.
- 18:34[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 18:35[SPEAKER_06]: I'm changing my photo on there.
- 18:37[SPEAKER_06]: I look like John candy in the 80s.
- 18:39[SPEAKER_06]: I've lost 40 pounds since I think and I get an update in update that picture.
- 18:43[SPEAKER_03]: Since I've dropped 40 pounds.
- 18:44[SPEAKER_03]: That'll, that'll remain there.
- 18:45[SPEAKER_03]: Please, that's just a reminder.
- 18:48[SPEAKER_01]: That's just a reminder.
- 18:49[SPEAKER_01]: I'll also get updated.
- 18:50[SPEAKER_01]: All right.
- 18:51[SPEAKER_01]: Gosh.
- 18:52[SPEAKER_01]: So I will say, I'm pumped to about be able to have some inventory on there.
- 18:56[SPEAKER_01]: So you know, the sports cards CEO dot com will kind of be the hub.
- 19:00[SPEAKER_01]: So you can get to the Instagram page.
- 19:02[SPEAKER_01]: You can get to any form of the podcast you want.
- 19:04[SPEAKER_01]: You can get the videos on there.
- 19:05[SPEAKER_01]: Like you said, check out our sleepers.
- 19:08[SPEAKER_01]: You can also look through some inventories and cards.
- 19:10[SPEAKER_01]: We're going to make available.
- 19:10[SPEAKER_01]: So like it's going to be a nice little place for us to kind of continue to build community.
- 19:14[SPEAKER_01]: that folks can kind of check out.
- 19:16[SPEAKER_01]: I'm sure in the future, we can link to some articles and publications.
- 19:19[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 19:21[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, we also do have an X account now.
- 19:23[SPEAKER_03]: So at the SportsCart CEO on X, so we'll be more active on there as well.
- 19:30[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 19:30[SPEAKER_03]: But it's going to be an all-in-one kind of website.
- 19:33[SPEAKER_03]: So in this all-directed, mentally.
- 19:35[SPEAKER_01]: Well, it's funny, you know, we didn't start this thing to be something like we just started this because we love talking cards and we felt like it would be valuable people and now you look up a year later and we've got all these listeners, we got the community coming together and we're trying to count as okay guys like we'll put this together in a more concise format so that everybody can kind of, you know, benefit from it.
- 19:53[SPEAKER_01]: and we can kind of start to put some parameters around it.
- 19:57[SPEAKER_01]: And that said, one of those kind of features that we have is where our listeners can call into the show.
- 20:02[SPEAKER_01]: Leave a message and we'll answer it on the air.
- 20:04[SPEAKER_01]: And the link to that is on the website, but it's 188 pod CEOs.
- 20:10[SPEAKER_01]: So you can go on there and do that.
- 20:12[SPEAKER_01]: And you boys go ahead, take this listener question here.
- 20:14[SPEAKER_01]: We ready to roll.
- 20:15[SPEAKER_01]: Yep.
- 20:16[SPEAKER_01]: All right.
- 20:18[SPEAKER_04]: Hey guys, question for you.
- 20:20[SPEAKER_04]: I did think a lot about this and in particular around the scarcity of a bowman and one of the benefits to it.
- 20:25[SPEAKER_04]: But I was curious, once a player who had previously only really had Bowman cards, think of Connor Griffin or JJ weatherhole, starts getting hops releases.
- 20:36[SPEAKER_04]: How do you think that affects the value of those Bowman cards?
- 20:39[SPEAKER_04]: Does it dilute them?
- 20:41[SPEAKER_04]: Or can it still retain a unique edge in the hobby?
- 20:44[SPEAKER_04]: a lot about that when it comes to Bowman cards in particular when it's probably the right time to start selling some of those prospects to make their debut and begin getting on a top release.
- 20:55[SPEAKER_04]: So just curious with thoughts how that affects your buying and selling behavior and again, really appreciate the podcast I've learned a lot from you guys and how to great day.
- 21:05[SPEAKER_04]: Thanks.
- 21:07[SPEAKER_01]: Great question.
- 21:08[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, fabulous fabulous question there.
- 21:11[SPEAKER_01]: Um, and again, we'll let everybody kind of have their take at a current.
- 21:14[SPEAKER_01]: I want you to have your first stab here.
- 21:15[SPEAKER_01]: Them bubble.
- 21:16[SPEAKER_01]: You can throw in your thoughts and then I'll kind of wrap up in the end.
- 21:19[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, it is a very good question.
- 21:21[SPEAKER_03]: Um, me personally, this is obviously my, my opinion.
- 21:25[SPEAKER_03]: There is no right or wrong answer here, but
- 21:33[SPEAKER_03]: above all of the releases, I do not think that a player that, you know, at one point only has Bowman cards and then is in top releases like Top's Chrome or Top's Chrome update or and then, you know, definitive and I do not think that dilutes the value of Bowman.
- 21:53[SPEAKER_03]: What's so ever?
- 21:55[SPEAKER_03]: I do understand the thought that a that it could because the more the more cards that are available for that person the less scarce they become, but Bowman is Bowman is always, you know, their first card and that's why it's the moment first that it that's king, you know, so I always think that that Bowman card will hold its value no matter what
- 22:18[SPEAKER_03]: under any circumstance, whether they have a top's chrome, rookie, whether they have their in-top's definitive, five star, music, whatever it might be, Roman is just, Roman is king in the baseball card world, that's my thought.
- 22:36[SPEAKER_06]: But 100% agree, and I love analogies.
- 22:38[SPEAKER_06]: So I'm going to give you all one, whether you like them or not.
- 22:40[SPEAKER_06]: I'm sorry, I'm going to give you my best analogy here.
- 22:44[SPEAKER_06]: Fast food restaurants, okay?
- 22:47[SPEAKER_06]: They put out just a ton of product.
- 22:50[SPEAKER_06]: They just put out every other built on how many items can they sell today.
- 22:53[SPEAKER_06]: You're talking fast food and you want me to change your picture?
- 22:55[SPEAKER_06]: No, no.
- 22:57[SPEAKER_06]: I'm hungry.
- 22:58[SPEAKER_06]: I'm hungry.
- 22:58[SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
- 22:59[SPEAKER_06]: Go on eating.
- 23:00[SPEAKER_06]: Not eating.
- 23:01[SPEAKER_06]: Um, but my analogy here would be Xaxpies.
- 23:04[SPEAKER_06]: Okay.
- 23:05[SPEAKER_06]: When Xaxpies first opened, they actually started right in our area.
- 23:07[SPEAKER_06]: I don't know if you have Xaxpies in your area, I've never heard that they might learn to not know.
- 23:12[SPEAKER_03]: It's a sound.
- 23:12[SPEAKER_06]: It's become almost a nationwide brand now.
- 23:15[SPEAKER_06]: It's heavy in the southeast to chicken restaurant.
- 23:17[SPEAKER_06]: Kind of like a Chick-fil-A, but not as good.
- 23:20[SPEAKER_06]: but when it first came out they were came out in our area okay and when you would go to get that chicken there'd be a sign that said all good things take time and it would literally take 15 minutes to get your chicken but it was delicious.
- 23:32[SPEAKER_06]: I mean that's why I grew and then they grew to another chain and it got a little worse and it grew to another chain, it got a little worse, it grew to another chain and that's what happens.
- 23:40[SPEAKER_06]: You look at the original McDonald's and the story of how good McDonald's was before it had thousands.
- 23:46[SPEAKER_06]: Now it's just manufactured, goat, compressed or whatever
- 23:50[SPEAKER_06]: Uh, and nuggets, your feed your kid goat nuggets.
- 23:53[SPEAKER_06]: I don't really know what they're eating.
- 23:55[SPEAKER_06]: Uh, chicken, chicken feet, not sure, but um, my, my point getting back to the car point is 20 piece of goat.
- 24:03[SPEAKER_06]: Bowman is that original, like you said, current.
- 24:06[SPEAKER_06]: It is like it is the first car that never goes away.
- 24:09[SPEAKER_06]: It is the first time they've signed a card.
- 24:11[SPEAKER_06]: It is before anybody even knew who they were.
- 24:14[SPEAKER_06]: And that is that, that is the,
- 24:16[SPEAKER_06]: aura around that.
- 24:18[SPEAKER_06]: It is that feeling of like there's never a first again.
- 24:21[SPEAKER_06]: And just similar to that of what I think makes a debut patch special.
- 24:25[SPEAKER_06]: Is this the first time it's been on that jersey?
- 24:28[SPEAKER_06]: And so for Bowman, that's the way I see it.
- 24:30[SPEAKER_06]: Everything that comes after it.
- 24:33[SPEAKER_06]: is more and more and more, especially after the rookie year is more and more like fast food.
- 24:39[SPEAKER_06]: It's just a joke.
- 24:40[SPEAKER_06]: It's truly just mass-produced junk.
- 24:44[SPEAKER_06]: And so in the reason I can tell you this is I've been in that other market.
- 24:48[SPEAKER_06]: I've lived in, when I first got in this industry, I didn't know that Bowman was king.
- 24:53[SPEAKER_06]: I thought that everything else was good, so I bought everything.
- 24:56[SPEAKER_06]: And you find how little value that is there when you live in that world and how volatile it is.
- 25:02[SPEAKER_06]: Now, I will say this.
- 25:05[SPEAKER_06]: If a player just is not very good, his value will not hold in Bowman either.
- 25:10[SPEAKER_06]: But if he is good, it will hold, and it will hold my gold for a long, long time in Russia.
- 25:16[SPEAKER_03]: You know what?
- 25:16[SPEAKER_03]: It's interesting to me as you were saying that, Gary, I'm not going to pretend I know the basketball market at all, right?
- 25:22[SPEAKER_03]: But, um...
- 25:24[SPEAKER_03]: You know, what's different from basketball and baseball in this respect, like, you know, you say after the rookie card, right, it's just diluted overrun, overprinted stuff.
- 25:34[SPEAKER_03]: Like, it's not true in basketball, which is, which is crazy.
- 25:37[SPEAKER_03]: I know we're baseball show here, but like, I see Steph Curry or LeBron rhythms that are from like two years ago going for like crazy amounts of money.
- 25:46[SPEAKER_03]: Like, that wouldn't happen in baseball.
- 25:48[SPEAKER_03]: You wouldn't see, I mean, yeah, show hey, maybe an exception, right?
- 25:53[SPEAKER_03]: Like, you wouldn't see like a trout or rice harbour or a coonier, a bobby wit, like, you know, 50-year refractor going for the money that those are going for, which is, which is wild.
- 26:06[SPEAKER_03]: Um, but that's another, that's another subject for another day.
- 26:10[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, you know, it's interesting.
- 26:11[SPEAKER_01]: I have a lot of thoughts and if current, I just, I just get tickled.
- 26:14[SPEAKER_01]: I thought about you and me like trying to keep it straight.
- 26:17[SPEAKER_01]: Thanks.
- 26:18[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not kidding.
- 26:18[SPEAKER_01]: Like 20 piece of goat.
- 26:20[SPEAKER_01]: 20 piece of goat.
- 26:21[SPEAKER_01]: I get it.
- 26:22[SPEAKER_01]: That's a troll rig.
- 26:24[SPEAKER_01]: So, you know, here's the thing, look back.
- 26:27[SPEAKER_01]: I think the perfect example of this analogy or this, you know, situation here is, look at
- 26:32[SPEAKER_01]: Aaron Judge.
- 26:33[SPEAKER_01]: Look at Aaron.
- 26:34[SPEAKER_03]: I don't even know why I didn't mention his name, but yeah.
- 26:36[SPEAKER_01]: Look at Aaron Judge, per example, 18, top scrim.
- 26:40[SPEAKER_01]: No, he went in 2018.
- 26:41[SPEAKER_01]: He was 2017.
- 26:41[SPEAKER_01]: 2017.
- 26:43[SPEAKER_01]: He's got the one where he's jumping up against the wall, catching the ball, right?
- 26:47[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 26:47[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 26:47[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 26:48[SPEAKER_01]: Those cards don't compare at all to what his bum and does.
- 26:51[SPEAKER_01]: From, you know, 2013, is he 13?
- 26:54[SPEAKER_03]: Uh, 2013.
- 26:54[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, yeah.
- 26:56[SPEAKER_01]: Um, and then another one is like a Kenya, you know, a Kenya's boom and first versus a Kenya's top scrimmer fractures.
- 27:02[SPEAKER_01]: And I know this because we actually bought some a Kenya top scrimmer fractures heading into the season.
- 27:08[SPEAKER_01]: And they were largely flat.
- 27:10[SPEAKER_01]: Even at debut though, but the Bowman first saw a little bit of a bump and then you know you've got show Hey show Hayes and other great example is crazy a show hey stuff has gone his Bowman cards still hold a significant premium Over his top current top screen variation and you know again now.
- 27:29[SPEAKER_01]: I think of it like this.
- 27:31[SPEAKER_01]: It's like I can tell you as a baseball card guy and as a Bowman
- 27:40[SPEAKER_01]: like I wouldn't want to own them because it's almost like sleeping with the enemy in a way.
- 27:45[SPEAKER_01]: Like in my mind I have this like delineation in my mind that will not allow me to go and buy, you know, like a gunner Henderson, you know, tops chrome auto personally.
- 27:56[SPEAKER_01]: Like give me his
- 28:02[SPEAKER_01]: or 2019, whatever it was, and 2019, and I want it, you know, I don't want the top screen.
- 28:08[SPEAKER_01]: I will say this though.
- 28:09[SPEAKER_01]: Here's the exception.
- 28:10[SPEAKER_01]: This is big mats exception to the rule.
- 28:13[SPEAKER_01]: I love the SPs that tops us.
- 28:16[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know why, but I personally love the short print image variations.
- 28:21[SPEAKER_01]: And, you know, Bowman started to integrate that a little bit.
- 28:24[SPEAKER_01]: And I like the idea that the image on the card is limited and it's more rare.
- 28:29[SPEAKER_01]: And I think I see that with like the bat down a kunya, you saw the white jersey a kunya.
- 28:34[SPEAKER_01]: You look at the show.
- 28:35[SPEAKER_01]: Hey, he has the the batting variation, the hand on helmet.
- 28:39[SPEAKER_01]: I love those because I know their rare.
- 28:41[SPEAKER_01]: I know their scares.
- 28:43[SPEAKER_01]: I know they were packed pulled.
- 28:44[SPEAKER_01]: And I know their low population.
- 28:46[SPEAKER_01]: I think Bowman would do really, really well to almost have, instead of doing the gold ink auto, they should have like an image variation Bowman.
- 28:57[SPEAKER_01]: of that particular prospect.
- 29:00[SPEAKER_01]: In my opinion, that would be something that they would could integrate, maybe into a later product.
- 29:05[SPEAKER_01]: Like the rookie card, you know, they have like boom, I'll have the rookie card like after the first.
- 29:10[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 29:11[SPEAKER_03]: That would be something we really really.
- 29:14[SPEAKER_03]: I love the gold autos, right?
- 29:15[SPEAKER_03]: But I wouldn't want a short print for every player in that set.
- 29:19[SPEAKER_03]: You know what I mean?
- 29:19[SPEAKER_03]: Like a short print should be for somebody that's like a special player.
- 29:23[SPEAKER_01]: Like a stock.
- 29:24[SPEAKER_01]: I agree that.
- 29:25[SPEAKER_01]: I agree that.
- 29:25[SPEAKER_01]: I just think SPs are cool.
- 29:27[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 29:28[SPEAKER_01]: I think that when you see show hey with his carrying bag or whatever, like I think that resurgence in the market has been like really interesting because people understand the population on your short.
- 29:38[SPEAKER_03]: Everything's anything scarce of a good player you want.
- 29:42[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 29:42[SPEAKER_03]: Like if there's not a lot printed of it, that's what you want.
- 29:45[SPEAKER_03]: Like that's what you're going for here.
- 29:46[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, I do want to, I do want to hit on what Matt said there.
- 29:49[SPEAKER_06]: So I agree on most of what Matt said, but I think he did say one thing where he just said like top scrim, I don't want it where I would want top scrim rookie card.
- 29:59[SPEAKER_06]: The original rookie, not sapphire, not waves, not up day, not not any of that other stuff.
- 30:07[SPEAKER_06]: Give me the red in the super fracture of that rookie card.
- 30:10[SPEAKER_06]: Because you look at a red again, I give you like a, and I think the point I'm going to make here,
- 30:16[SPEAKER_06]: is there's value to be had.
- 30:17[SPEAKER_06]: I've said this before on past sports car CEO episodes.
- 30:21[SPEAKER_06]: Sometimes top screen gets overlooked too much and it gets overlooked and when that happens there's extreme value there and I'll give you a point.
- 30:30[SPEAKER_06]: If you gave me the option any day of the week to say I will give you the blue first of a player or I will give you the red for the same money of a top
- 30:43[SPEAKER_06]: And that can happen on pricing.
- 30:44[SPEAKER_06]: You look at the pricing sometimes.
- 30:46[SPEAKER_06]: The reds are below like purples at times because they just get overlooked.
- 30:50[SPEAKER_06]: And that doesn't make sense to me.
- 30:52[SPEAKER_06]: And so when you're looking at a card variation that is 30 times more rare in a red than a blue, give me the top-skrown red in that situation.
- 31:00[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I mean, look, at the end of the day it all is a is a preference of from the collector right like what do you what is your goal here like is it is your goal to make quick money is your goal to just collect the players you like because like I think a lot of people that collect tops chrome and like I do won't top tops chrome rookies of guys that I really like right, but
- 31:24[SPEAKER_03]: could be they could be in a different uniform that player then they were in their moment first right so a fan of that team i feel like it's more likely to it's it's more of a fan card right like yeah like i buy touch chrome rookies of like of meds that weren't necessarily in their moment first
- 31:45[SPEAKER_03]: in a met uniform, you know, but now that they're in a met uniform, I want to collect that card because they're met, you know, and I feel like that's the case with a lot of tops chrome because there's some of them are different uniforms.
- 31:56[SPEAKER_03]: They want to collect them when they're actually in their fit in their teams uniform.
- 32:00[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 32:00[SPEAKER_01]: And, you know, I really, really like the point that you guys both just made is that the top scrum, and again, when I go back, I want to say this, the people who are going to be bashing me or whatever area, I'm going to top scrum later.
- 32:11[SPEAKER_01]: It's not that, it's like, you know, for whatever reason, I have an affinity towards the Bowman.
- 32:16[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm going to lean there, but Gary, your point is very valid and certainly well taken, like, if I can get a red at value and know that I have
- 32:30[SPEAKER_01]: If you look at the base autograph of a Bowman first, like what do we think the print run is in most cases of the base Bowman first, a thousand?
- 32:41[SPEAKER_01]: Three, no, higher.
- 32:42[SPEAKER_01]: Is there a thousand?
- 32:42[SPEAKER_01]: Three thousand.
- 32:43[SPEAKER_01]: What about on the Clops Chrome side of a base autos?
- 32:46[SPEAKER_01]: It about the same?
- 32:46[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 32:48[SPEAKER_01]: And that's the thing.
- 32:48[SPEAKER_01]: It's like once you start to really look at population, that's where I think a lot of people are not paying attention.
- 32:54[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, because when you start to get into the idea of a player actually signing a card, there used to be this idea that there was scarcity there because they only signed a few of them, right?
- 33:06[SPEAKER_01]: Well, now they're signing so many, and they're signing so many parallels, and they're signing in so many different products, you know, you're kind of starting to dilute the market when it comes to an autograph.
- 33:16[SPEAKER_01]: So you almost have to discount the idea that it's an auto and you have to go after a specific serial numbered autos, in order to kind of get the scarcity there.
- 33:26[SPEAKER_01]: So that's something really interesting to consider especially with top scrim, because it's like James Wood.
- 33:31[SPEAKER_01]: James Wood, right?
- 33:32[SPEAKER_01]: James Wood's rake in the baseball right now.
- 33:34[SPEAKER_01]: He said a lot of home runs.
- 33:35[SPEAKER_01]: He's had that kind of resurgence after a slow start of the season.
- 33:39[SPEAKER_01]: But James Wood signed a lot.
- 33:41[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, touch chrome stuff, you know, he signed.
- 33:43[SPEAKER_01]: He signed, he signed, he signed, he signed, he signed, he signed, he signed, he signed, he signed, he signed, he signed, he signed, he signed, he signed, he signed, they're all too.
- 33:50[SPEAKER_01]: They're all signing so much.
- 33:52[SPEAKER_01]: So to actually have an autograph of the player is less scarce than you actually think.
- 33:57[SPEAKER_01]: And the long term is it going to really hold the value, that's a great question.
- 34:02[SPEAKER_01]: Don't.
- 34:03[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, that said we want to kind of keep the show flow in here boys.
- 34:06[SPEAKER_01]: Um, you know, we, we, we talked about, uh, our, our top's chrome guys that will be having cards coming out.
- 34:13[SPEAKER_01]: They have their boom and these are our boys, JJ weather, whole, um, Connor Griffin Kevin McGonagall.
- 34:19[SPEAKER_01]: Um, these, these are the guys that have been kind of the CEOs, uh, top three want to give a little brief update there and talk about that because they, they will have cards coming out and that top's product whenever it hits.
- 34:29[SPEAKER_06]: Well, it's cool to see JJ last three games three home runs home run in each game.
- 34:34[SPEAKER_06]: I think we knew I think we've talked about it before that he was gonna have pop.
- 34:38[SPEAKER_06]: He's battled off on that team.
- 34:40[SPEAKER_06]: He's projected right now.
- 34:42[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, we're not even a fifth of the waste through the season.
- 34:45[SPEAKER_06]: The season ended now his projections he would be almost 35 home runs batting lead off for the Cardinals and I think if you asked anybody as a rookie guy coming to the league guy playing second base.
- 34:56[SPEAKER_06]: I'm gonna hit 35 home runs.
- 34:58[SPEAKER_06]: It's pretty good batting lead off and I think you're gonna see him continue to get his
- 35:04[SPEAKER_06]: You know, his footing there in the major leagues.
- 35:05[SPEAKER_06]: I don't know if he's going to be a 3 20 3 30 guy like McGonagall, but he might I would not be surprised that whether holds 272 80 35 home runs 85 RB eyes out of a lead off spot.
- 35:17[SPEAKER_06]: And if he was batten further down the lineup, he'd ever 100 RB eyes.
- 35:20[SPEAKER_06]: So.
- 35:21[SPEAKER_06]: Cool to see JJ get going.
- 35:22[SPEAKER_06]: He's a stud Kevin McGonagall unreal a baton 330 and people were sleeping on McGonagall.
- 35:29[SPEAKER_06]: I mean, they slept on him at release.
- 35:31[SPEAKER_06]: I did too.
- 35:32[SPEAKER_06]: I mean, arm spoke him up.
- 35:33[SPEAKER_06]: I slept on him.
- 35:35[SPEAKER_06]: And then he got all this momentum going into the season.
- 35:39[SPEAKER_06]: and all the dude has done his hit and then people slept on him again the last couple weeks.
- 35:42[SPEAKER_06]: It was kind of like he's batting 330 but he's only got one bomb.
- 35:46[SPEAKER_06]: Well then he hits another bomb this last week and it's like everybody's back on him and newsflash the dude is a stud and then obviously right below that you got KG who you know the guy has just turned he just turned 20 right
- 36:06[SPEAKER_06]: Years and years below some of these other guys and and he's starting to show signs of life What I like to see is that the pirates are starting to run him starting to use that speed that we knew he had again Projections right now in the year season ended.
- 36:18[SPEAKER_06]: He's probably gonna be you're close to 40 bags at the end of the year The weather starting to run him here recently.
- 36:24[SPEAKER_06]: I think the power will come.
- 36:25[SPEAKER_06]: He's hit several walls off the wall
- 36:27[SPEAKER_06]: He started to adjust to Major League pitching, Gagy shown some signs of life.
- 36:32[SPEAKER_06]: So again, the three guys we've been following, phenomenal and we can't go without mentioning this guy, Sal Stewart.
- 36:40[SPEAKER_06]: I mean, how good has that guy been?
- 36:43[SPEAKER_06]: I mean, unreal, how good cell steward's been.
- 36:46[SPEAKER_06]: And there's a lot of other guys we can be mentioning.
- 36:48[SPEAKER_06]: I mean, we've said this and we've said it again.
- 36:50[SPEAKER_06]: This is baseball that we're watching right now.
- 36:52[SPEAKER_06]: These Bowman first of the last couple years.
- 36:54[SPEAKER_06]: This is the future of baseball.
- 36:56[SPEAKER_06]: It's right now.
- 36:57[SPEAKER_06]: So, current, yeah.
- 36:58[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, no, I think the, I mean, these three guys are, they're doing their thing now, you know, I think with Conner, you have to be, it's just, it's patients, man, but he's, he's, he's adjusting, I change a couple of messages within last week, and he's adjusting, but he's starting to get the feel of things, and so I like I'm not concerned, like I do still think he is a,
- 37:20[SPEAKER_03]: I still think he's eventually going to be a superstar in Major League baseball.
- 37:26[SPEAKER_03]: He, you know, Magonical is how much older than Conner, a couple of years?
- 37:32[SPEAKER_07]: Three years?
- 37:33[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 37:34[SPEAKER_03]: Conner's very young, so like if those people concerned about Conner, I mean, buying to the market, like I'd be buying Conner, if I was buying right now, I'd be buying Conner.
- 37:45[SPEAKER_03]: McGonagall's great, you know, like my question with McGonagall is like, like, how he's going to bat over 300, right?
- 37:52[SPEAKER_03]: Which is very rare immediately, baseball these days, like from a card standpoint, like how long does this last with McGonagall, you know, as new releases come out, right?
- 38:04[SPEAKER_03]: Like this does McGonagall is he a guy that gets lost in the shuffle really good player, but doesn't hold the value in the hobby.
- 38:11[SPEAKER_03]: like that's my only concern with him.
- 38:13[SPEAKER_03]: He's he's he's nasty.
- 38:14[SPEAKER_03]: He's great.
- 38:14[SPEAKER_03]: He's great bullplayer.
- 38:15[SPEAKER_03]: But there are guys that that you know close to 300 and are very, very solid major leagueers that have had hype in the Bowman world that just it just doesn't stick.
- 38:27[SPEAKER_03]: That would be the concern with him.
- 38:28[SPEAKER_03]: And whether, you know, I obviously am a weather hook guy, Gary, I texted you that that first day we were talking about JJ that first
- 38:40[SPEAKER_03]: After the first is first majorly game and you know, I said to you.
- 38:45[SPEAKER_03]: I was like, I just think he has it You know, he's has it he has that X factor of he like it seems like it just seemed like he likes to be in the spotlight And he's gonna hit in a big spot He's already had game winning hit He had a tying home run in the ninth inning last night like he just seems to have it like I agree with you He's got 30 home run up
- 39:07[SPEAKER_03]: he's going to be a lead off header there for a long, long time.
- 39:11[SPEAKER_01]: You know, it's funny, like watching these guys from afar, because I don't follow the games the way you guys do and I'll follow the stat lines the way you guys do my boys do.
- 39:18[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I'm not, not Matthew, but the twins, the twins are like that, you know, that, that, that, they just they've followed the stat.
- 39:24[SPEAKER_01]: The gambling addicts.
- 39:25[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, pretty much.
- 39:26[SPEAKER_01]: They they follow the stat lines like crazy and it's interesting because you know, I just looked up something really quick Conor's K rate right now at least when I pull the data on it.
- 39:36[SPEAKER_01]: It's you know, just north of the MLB average He's in the the mid 20s percent K rate which isn't bad.
- 39:43[SPEAKER_01]: It's not that bad But I was gonna say is if you go back to our podcast with him for those of you hadn't gone back go back and listen What do you see on the podcast?
- 39:50[SPEAKER_01]: You know, he said he had it a hard time laying off the slaughter right?
- 39:53[SPEAKER_01]: He has a hard time laying off the slatter, and if I watched him the other night, I did watch one at bat.
- 39:58[SPEAKER_01]: Four slatters.
- 39:59[SPEAKER_01]: It's when they were playing the braves.
- 40:00[SPEAKER_01]: And the curly-haired guy that looks like a 80s band singer that's the picture for the braves.
- 40:04[SPEAKER_01]: Bubba was his name?
- 40:05[SPEAKER_01]: Grounds.
- 40:06[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, yeah.
- 40:06[SPEAKER_01]: He looks like he's a lead singer for white snake.
- 40:09[SPEAKER_01]: Anyway.
- 40:10[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 40:11[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, he threw four sliders in a row to Connor and Connor swung at the first two held off the third and then swung at the fourth one, you know, and I would imagine even the balls he's putting into play.
- 40:23[SPEAKER_01]: He's athletic enough to get the bat to the ball, but if he adjusts his plate discipline and really gets more selective on his pitches and stuff and and look at somebody who's done that at an elite level is so dope.
- 40:35[SPEAKER_01]: Like Juan Sutter makes you pitch to him, you know what I mean?
- 40:38[SPEAKER_01]: And you look at bonds historically.
- 40:40[SPEAKER_01]: You know, bonds would get like one pitch to hit.
- 40:42[SPEAKER_01]: And when he got that pitch, he would capitalize on it.
- 40:45[SPEAKER_01]: So I think you see a guy like Connor really stand out because Connor has that thing, about generational speed, height.
- 40:53[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, he's a big dude.
- 40:54[SPEAKER_01]: He's like a man child.
- 40:56[SPEAKER_01]: That's where McGonagall and wetterholder a little bit like,
- 40:59[SPEAKER_01]: Weatherhold second base.
- 41:01[SPEAKER_01]: It's not as sexy.
- 41:02[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, he's, you know, and then, but, but Magalagoda me, like, I don't know, I can't put my finger on it.
- 41:09[SPEAKER_01]: And I hear what you're saying.
- 41:10[SPEAKER_01]: Like, he's not the big flashy, you know, sexy kind of like looking guy, but dude freaking gets it done.
- 41:17[SPEAKER_01]: He rakes.
- 41:18[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm telling you right now, like the tigers are starting to like, I mean, he's not carrying the teen per se, but he is a guy that I could see being the engine for the tigers making a solid strong playoff run and be a guy who kind of has a stat line that like puts them on the map.
- 41:38[SPEAKER_03]: You can be an old star this year.
- 41:39[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it will be an old star this year.
- 41:41[SPEAKER_01]: And so from that standpoint, you have to start looking at his value from a card perspective relative to the Bobby Witt Jr. kind of high-end versus the downside of the shortstop, which is a
- 41:57[SPEAKER_01]: Turner and I mean, I don't know, I don't know who his comp is on the hot of the low, but it's it's really interesting man.
- 42:04[SPEAKER_01]: So like I'm still in my own mind.
- 42:07[SPEAKER_01]: I'm going KG Then McGonagal then JJ from a personal standpoint and that realm, but I do love seeing all three of these guys do do really well No, yes, I want to mention this because as y'all were talking I was writing some numbers down
- 42:20[SPEAKER_06]: I think this is a reminder that anybody should have, and I don't want to make this sports car CEO Connor Griffin show.
- 42:28[SPEAKER_06]: It's got a people don't want to hear that all the time, but I do want to share this.
- 42:31[SPEAKER_06]: He has been out of high school.
- 42:33[SPEAKER_06]: He had one minor league season.
- 42:35[SPEAKER_06]: The kid was in high school a little over a year ago.
- 42:38[SPEAKER_06]: Okay.
- 42:39[SPEAKER_06]: I mean, this is not a guy.
- 42:40[SPEAKER_06]: This guy literally had one minor league season.
- 42:43[SPEAKER_06]: He had 500 ABCs in the minors.
- 42:45[SPEAKER_06]: He had 16 it bats above triple above double neck.
- 42:49[SPEAKER_06]: his strikeout rates 32.5% in the majors right now is 25.2 in the minors.
- 42:54[SPEAKER_06]: Okay.
- 42:54[SPEAKER_06]: Historically.
- 42:55[SPEAKER_06]: So his K rate is a little elevated to where it was in the minors, but like you said, ham, what they're going to do in the majors is they're going to find out what you don't do well and they're going to hammer it.
- 43:06[SPEAKER_06]: And what a major league baseball teams job is to do is to prepare him to be able to handle that.
- 43:11[SPEAKER_06]: And the more he sees those and where he's exposed to those, the more he learns from that,
- 43:16[SPEAKER_06]: the talent, the power, the speed, that has been the combo all along.
- 43:21[SPEAKER_06]: When a kid's striking out 25% of the miners, nobody cared about that before.
- 43:25[SPEAKER_06]: No one will care when he, if he strikes out 25% again in the majors as a career, if he's hitting 40 bombs and stealing 50 bags.
- 43:32[SPEAKER_06]: Okay, and that has been the thing all this is a short stop that could put produce more power more speed than Bobby Wit, and so it is going to take patience.
- 43:43[SPEAKER_06]: It is going to take time.
- 43:44[SPEAKER_06]: I mean, we all wanted to see him come out and just be, you know, Babe Ruth from the start, but it's it is going to come with this kid, because you look at him.
- 43:53[SPEAKER_06]: He's he's been a prodigy at every level he's been.
- 43:55[SPEAKER_06]: It's only going to make him stronger to have to go through a little
- 44:02[SPEAKER_06]: into my corner ran.
- 44:03[SPEAKER_01]: I have a question for you guys who actually holds a record for the most time runs from a shortstop position.
- 44:08[SPEAKER_01]: Do you know the answer?
- 44:08[SPEAKER_01]: No.
- 44:08[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, just yeah, of course I know the answer, but who holds the record, current for the most.
- 44:10[SPEAKER_01]: For the most.
- 44:11[SPEAKER_01]: For the rest.
- 44:11[SPEAKER_01]: Can.
- 44:11[SPEAKER_01]: Can.
- 44:11[SPEAKER_01]: Can.

- 44:18[SPEAKER_01]: Can.
- 44:18[SPEAKER_01]: Can
- 44:18[SPEAKER_01]: Coward, can you see?
- 44:20[SPEAKER_01]: Everybody wants to compare him to Bobby Witt and all these guys.
- 44:23[SPEAKER_01]: The man at the short stop position with the most time runs and a history of Major League baseball.
- 44:28[SPEAKER_01]: Coward, can you?
- 44:29[SPEAKER_01]: All right.
- 44:29[SPEAKER_01]: Let's move on to the next topic here.
- 44:31[SPEAKER_01]: We had talked about the the final topic of the day is the Bowman 100.
- 44:37[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 44:38[SPEAKER_01]: And how quickly the sharks.
- 44:41[SPEAKER_01]: our fellow listeners to the SportsCard CEO, we see you out there, you shark circling these new prospects.
- 44:47[SPEAKER_01]: You guys are getting good at picking up prospects early.
- 44:52[SPEAKER_01]: So much so that we'll have a little name drop in the chat and before you know it, every single card on inventory on eBay's gone.
- 45:02[SPEAKER_01]: And so let's talk a little bit about how refined the Bowman hobby has gotten with these folks
- 45:11[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, go ahead Gary.
- 45:13[SPEAKER_06]: I'll share the stats and then current roll with that.
- 45:15[SPEAKER_06]: So Bowman 100 is down 6% the last two weeks baseball is up 3.72 in so current.
- 45:22[SPEAKER_06]: I want you to kind of roll off of that if you would and why you think with these prospects.
- 45:27[SPEAKER_06]: That kind of correlates.
- 45:29[SPEAKER_06]: Why do you think people now like you look at the numbers or down on the the people that are there?
- 45:33[SPEAKER_06]: But now people are on the prospects earlier.
- 45:35[SPEAKER_06]: How do you think all that's correlating?
- 45:36[SPEAKER_06]: Where's smart money going now?
- 45:38[SPEAKER_06]: How is smart money playing into into this hobby right now?
- 45:41[SPEAKER_06]: Because it is different than when you and I turned when you and I first met it was you and I battling all the time on these guys It was a couple fish in the pond now.
- 45:50[SPEAKER_06]: There's a ton.
- 45:51[SPEAKER_06]: Why do you think that's different?
- 45:52[SPEAKER_06]: there's just more people trying to get in early, right?
- 45:55[SPEAKER_03]: There's more people on like there's more people that have their hand on the pulse on these prospects.
- 46:01[SPEAKER_03]: They're trying to get in early, like I will get messages every single day.
- 46:06[SPEAKER_03]: Do I have any of this guy?
- 46:08[SPEAKER_03]: Do I have any of Ronnie Cruz?
- 46:10[SPEAKER_03]: Do I have any of uh
- 46:12[SPEAKER_03]: Caden Bodine like do I have any you know Fleming like guys that are not usually on people's radars But people are have their fingers on the pulse if a guy is hot and he's hit it They see he's hitting 320 in the miners with a 950 OPS do you have any of them?
- 46:29[SPEAKER_03]: Everybody's just trying to get in early um so when a guy gets hot
- 46:35[SPEAKER_03]: of these cards become hard to find.
- 46:37[SPEAKER_03]: People are just nagging them, people are snagging them and they're, you know, it's actually wild.
- 46:44[SPEAKER_03]: It makes me happy that people have their finger on the pulse as much, but it's happening.
- 46:50[SPEAKER_03]: Like I can't tell you the amount of messages that I get with these, with the names that are brought to me.
- 46:56[SPEAKER_03]: It's no longer, do you have any
- 46:57[SPEAKER_03]: Connor, do you have any mechanical?
- 46:59[SPEAKER_03]: Do you have any weather hold?
- 47:00[SPEAKER_03]: Do you have any, you know, the top top guys?
- 47:03[SPEAKER_03]: It's, it's these guys that are half the people that follow baseball would have no idea that they even exist or what their names were.
- 47:11[SPEAKER_03]: They're 18 year olds that are getting hot in.
- 47:15[SPEAKER_01]: low a you know it's what here's the thing somebody has to be feeding that right like there has to be somebody out there who's putting information into the marketplace that you know what to mean I don't know if it's like a a sub-stack site or a discord site or something but there has to be somebody who's beginning to perpetuate the hype around some of these players and again and
- 47:41[SPEAKER_01]: Is it based off of one performance like, what is it because, you know, it, when it hits, it hits fast boys.
- 47:50[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm talking about like golds of Ronnie Cruz, like somebody sent me a screenshot the other day if they paid $150 for a gold Ronnie Cruz.
- 47:59[SPEAKER_01]: And I was trying to find, I think one just sold for like $800.
- 48:04[SPEAKER_01]: You look like an 8x upside and like two weeks.
- 48:07[SPEAKER_03]: Yep.
- 48:08[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I don't know.
- 48:09[SPEAKER_03]: I think, um, I mean, obviously there's there's discords.
- 48:13[SPEAKER_03]: There's, you know, there's the just baseball discord that, you know, we have a channel in there as well, but there's there's card chatter, there's prospect chatter that like, RM gives his insight.
- 48:23[SPEAKER_03]: So I know that there's a lot of members on there and it's growing.
- 48:27[SPEAKER_03]: Um, I know that there's scout the stat line.
- 48:30[SPEAKER_03]: There's ex-available where there's constant fantasy baseball gurus that will drop names that
- 48:38[SPEAKER_03]: Um, and look, all the information is available out there.
- 48:42[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, all you have to go, you have to just go to moderately baseball and sort by OPS, home runs, batting average, you know, K-rate, load high, like there's all these different things you can look at, and I think as more people, people are looking to get in early on the superstar and have those enormous margins.
- 49:01[SPEAKER_03]: You know, like they want to be the first on this guy.
- 49:07[SPEAKER_03]: You know, and everybody's looking for the next big.
- 49:09[SPEAKER_03]: Now I will say,
- 49:11[SPEAKER_03]: it is a little dangerous.
- 49:12[SPEAKER_03]: So it's almost like exercise with caution as far as I'm concerned like again, Ronnie Cruz's numbers are outstanding, right?
- 49:19[SPEAKER_03]: Like the, you know, does the swing and miss bother me a little yet does paying $800 for gold that used to be $100 bucks.
- 49:28[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, it's extremely dangerous.
- 49:29[SPEAKER_03]: You're making a big investment at eight times the normal rate of the
- 49:38[SPEAKER_03]: I just be hot to start this season, you know, in 60, 70 played appearances.
- 49:43[SPEAKER_03]: Maybe he's the real deal, and that's what somebody's counting on.
- 49:45[SPEAKER_03]: But just, I don't know, I'm going to exercise with caution, you know?
- 49:48[SPEAKER_03]: If these guys are 100 bucks for a goal, then you feel like, yeah, short.
- 49:52[SPEAKER_03]: Take a shot, hell yeah, you know what I mean?
- 49:54[SPEAKER_03]: But paying up and eight times the current, you know, the market value, like, it's a dangerous game you're playing.
- 50:01[SPEAKER_01]: So that brings up a question, then.
- 50:02[SPEAKER_01]: Like, and this is, this is the CEO's talk, and this is me asking you guys what actually determines the value of a card performance performance scarcity the market.
- 50:13[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, it's, I would say it's all hype.
- 50:16[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 50:16[SPEAKER_01]: Again, it's a comment.
- 50:18[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it comes.
- 50:19[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, based on hype, formats, matters, sustainability matters, but it is totally driven by this fugazi comp thing that creates this mindset that, oh, that card just comp for $800.
- 50:31[SPEAKER_01]: You know what I mean?
- 50:33[SPEAKER_03]: All it takes is one card.
- 50:35[SPEAKER_03]: Yes, that comp for $800 and orange is is worth $1,600.
- 50:38[SPEAKER_03]: Now, and I can get it for $1,200.
- 50:41[SPEAKER_03]: Let me buy that for $1,200.
- 50:44[SPEAKER_06]: It is, but it truly, I mean, it if it via to put one single thing that absolutely drives a market more than anything else, is it's phomo.
- 50:54[SPEAKER_06]: It's phomo scarcity.
- 50:56[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 50:56[SPEAKER_06]: When there, if there are 50 of those cards available out there,
- 51:00[SPEAKER_06]: you can go snipe one off by it now you can send an offer and a guy's going to take one lower you can get them off of eBay and get a better deal but when there's only one of them out there on the market the guy owns it or there's only two of them out there there's and how about this when there's none of them.
- 51:15[SPEAKER_06]: Okay, when you go to some of these players now, when you go to a guys page and there is none, you know what that means his price is about to do.
- 51:22[SPEAKER_06]: It's about to go through the freaking roof because people are going to pay through the nose, the next time one goes because you can't get your hands on something you want when you want it.
- 51:31[SPEAKER_06]: Look at, look at cars, new release cars.
- 51:34[SPEAKER_06]: When cars are on waiting list for six months to a year, I remember when I bought my Bronco when it first came out my Bronco Raptor, the pride they were selling for 20, 30,000 over MSRP.
- 51:44[SPEAKER_03]: because you couldn't get one.
- 51:45[SPEAKER_03]: Which could've got them.
- 51:46[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, you nailed it right there and also fear of missing out.
- 51:50[SPEAKER_03]: Nobody wants to be the guy that misses out on him and they know about this guy to see his numbers.
- 51:54[SPEAKER_03]: They see the markup up and off a little bit, right?
- 51:57[SPEAKER_03]: And they have the chance to get in there.
- 51:58[SPEAKER_03]: Nobody wants to be the guy that misses out on him.
- 52:00[SPEAKER_03]: And people have missed out on enough people in, you know, early on that people want to be the guy to jump on them and they don't want to miss out.
- 52:09[SPEAKER_01]: Well, and here's this is this is big Matt strategy session, and I know that sometimes we disagree on this, but I'm saying, dude, when you've seen that kind of meteoric rise in an asset that you hold, I don't care who you think he's going to be.
- 52:23[SPEAKER_01]: I don't care if he's going to be the greatest baseball player in the history of the world.
- 52:27[SPEAKER_01]: I have absolutely no problem.
- 52:29[SPEAKER_01]: leveraging those assets and moving on from them.
- 52:32[SPEAKER_01]: And you know, if you hold one so what, but like the hoarding aspect is where it gets really interesting because once you go and you start hoarding in all these cards and you start going.
- 52:43[SPEAKER_01]: Once you start hoarding in all these cards, you know, and buying shimmers, and buying cards, you don't tell people about.
- 52:50[SPEAKER_01]: Then you start to realize, you know, not much like it, but then it becomes a different game.
- 52:58[SPEAKER_01]: It becomes an entirely different game, and it's about kind of this idea of controlling a market.
- 53:03[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 53:03[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, and it becomes scarce all of a sudden they're all of the reds.
- 53:06[SPEAKER_03]: We're all the oranges.
- 53:07[SPEAKER_03]: Yep.
- 53:08[SPEAKER_03]: I know that's what creates scarcity is hoarding.
- 53:11[SPEAKER_01]: I am I am of the mindset of when you have a card.
- 53:16[SPEAKER_01]: I am less connected to the outcome of what the card value could be and more connected to the ROI on my my dollars in cents in the card at that time.
- 53:27[SPEAKER_01]: And that's where it's hard with a lot of these early guys because you could get in early on a Ronnie Cruz, right?
- 53:33[SPEAKER_01]: You know, there's a player that comes to mind now.
- 53:35[SPEAKER_01]: What's the guy from the cubs a couple years ago that popped off?
- 53:39[SPEAKER_01]: And then he was in Ross.
- 53:40[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, Rojas.
- 53:41[SPEAKER_01]: Rojas was like, Oh, yeah, Rojas.
- 53:43[SPEAKER_01]: Woo, oh, no, hosts.
- 53:45[SPEAKER_01]: Rojas, no hosts.
- 53:46[SPEAKER_01]: You know what I mean?
- 53:47[SPEAKER_01]: And like that happens to, you know, so Ronnie Cruz to non-e Cruz.
- 53:53[SPEAKER_01]: You know what I mean?
- 53:54[SPEAKER_01]: It happens really fast.
- 53:55[SPEAKER_01]: And so if you're hoarding and you're starting to kind of scoop them all up, be prepared to ride that way because it might take some time for the rebound.
- 54:03[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 54:03[SPEAKER_06]: Point that.
- 54:04[SPEAKER_06]: Really good point.
- 54:05[SPEAKER_06]: But I tell y'all, next week, I'm starting it next week.
- 54:08[SPEAKER_06]: I'm going to get a, I'm going to bring a little lamp here.
- 54:09[SPEAKER_06]: It's going to have a little light bulb on top.
- 54:11[SPEAKER_06]: And when, when, when my, when a new idea comes to the mind or it answers a question, I'm going to press that little light bulb, because that's what my, that's, I wish I could see the light bulbs going off.
- 54:20[SPEAKER_06]: This was the topic.
- 54:22[SPEAKER_06]: This was the topic that I brought up before the show that I wanted to talk about that we're talking about here stashing what's different You know what hit me in the middle of it.
- 54:30[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, there are more people, but current you know what's different.
- 54:33[SPEAKER_06]: It's not actually what it hit me in the middle of this
- 54:36[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, there's more people, but the difference is guys, here's what's changed.
- 54:40[SPEAKER_06]: We were on the beginning of McGonagrul.
- 54:42[SPEAKER_06]: We were on the beginning of KG.
- 54:44[SPEAKER_06]: We've been on the beginning of JJ.
- 54:48[SPEAKER_06]: We've been on the beginning of Luis Pena.
- 54:50[SPEAKER_06]: We've been on the beginning a lot of these other guys, and our attention has been on these other people.
- 54:54[SPEAKER_06]: And other people weren't really able to get on the Conner's early.
- 54:57[SPEAKER_06]: They had to sit back and watch it.
- 54:58[SPEAKER_06]: That is it back and watch the JJs.
- 55:00[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 55:00[SPEAKER_06]: So what's happening is that our attention's been on the other stuff.
- 55:04[SPEAKER_06]: They've now gone and said we're going to find the next one while your attention's over here.
- 55:08[SPEAKER_06]: So now we're playing a game of chess.
- 55:11[SPEAKER_06]: Is what was happening now.
- 55:12[SPEAKER_06]: So hey, you might have your chess piece ahead of Bowman Farmer right now.
- 55:16[SPEAKER_06]: But wait, wait, wait.
- 55:18[SPEAKER_06]: Not too fast.
- 55:19[SPEAKER_06]: there'll be there there's already the next people in the hopper here and now we'll say this this is what i want to say the next release coming up haven't done any homework on this next release i usually don't do much in this next release i'm sure i'll nibble in it but the draft product that's going to come out i'm calling the shot right now i'm calling the draft shot it is going to be the biggest bone in release ever because there's going to be a pin up demand of who is next and i'm telling you feeling in my bones right now if i'm ever going to buy
- 55:47[SPEAKER_06]: this next release draft, Bowman draft is going to be nuclear in December.
- 55:53[SPEAKER_06]: Yes, I'm calling it right now.
- 55:54[SPEAKER_06]: There's going to be so much demand for who's next.
- 55:57[SPEAKER_06]: It is going to be a free fall.
- 55:59[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, bloodbath.
- 56:00[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you.
- 56:01[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, boys.
- 56:01[SPEAKER_01]: We got a lot of exciting days ahead here on the sports card CEO.
- 56:05[SPEAKER_01]: I'm ramped up for this.
- 56:07[SPEAKER_01]: Well listen guys, we're kind of hitting our mark here.
- 56:09[SPEAKER_01]: So want to let everybody know next week we are going to do a little bit of a deep dive into some of the minor league stats that have been popping off the page to us and talk about some of the players that we've been watching some of the players that we like as far as looking down the board.
- 56:25[SPEAKER_01]: Um, and then after that, the week after that, we're going to have arm on and talk about the Bowman 2026 release, which is coming up May 13th.
- 56:34[SPEAKER_03]: Is that right 13th is a release.
- 56:36[SPEAKER_03]: So our, our, our podcast episode will drop the day of release.
- 56:40[SPEAKER_03]: So we'll do a Bowman preview for you with arm.

- 57:36[SPEAKER_06]: Today's going to be Bubba's day.
- 57:37[SPEAKER_06]: Today's going to be public day.
