- 2:30Speaker 1: have learned throughout these weeks that we have been together.
- 2:34Speaker 1: So again it's just another opportunity to share and dive
- 2:40Speaker 1: a little deeper into the word that God has given us.
- 2:44Speaker 1: He's given us so that we can have a way
- 2:48Speaker 1: to apply it to our lives. So today we're going
- 2:52Speaker 1: to be coming out of day twenty three, it said,
- 2:56Speaker 1: finding Risks. Our focused scripture is going to be Matthew eleven,
- 3:01Speaker 1: twenty eight through verses twenty eight through thirty. Again matt
- 3:05Speaker 1: through eleven, Chapter eleven, verses twenty eight through thirty. Before
- 3:10Speaker 1: I get started, of course, I want to start off
- 3:14Speaker 1: in prayer. Before I get started, I want to pray,
- 3:17Speaker 1: open us up in prayer, Father God, in the name
- 3:19Speaker 1: of Jesus Word, I asked that you just allow your
- 3:22Speaker 1: whole spirit to leave God and directly move me out
- 3:24Speaker 1: of the way. Lord God Father, decrease me in the
- 3:26Speaker 1: flesh and allow your spirit being to comfort, allow me
- 3:30Speaker 1: to only share that that you have placed in my
- 3:32Speaker 1: heart and the things that you have placed in my spirit.
- 3:35Speaker 1: On today, or God Father, may the birthly this lesson
- 3:39Speaker 1: fall on good grounds, and that may it may do
- 3:43Speaker 1: that that you have set forth for it to do.
- 3:45Speaker 1: On today, Father, I asked that you will open our hearts,
- 3:48Speaker 1: our minds, and our souls that we can receive what
- 3:50Speaker 1: it is that you will have us to receive. On today, Father,
- 3:53Speaker 1: I thank you for this hour, thank you for this
- 3:55Speaker 1: opportunity that we can come before you, Lord God, lifting
- 3:58Speaker 1: up our praise, acknowledging you on that we have no power,
- 4:01Speaker 1: but through you we have all power. And Father, this
- 4:04Speaker 1: is my prayer your son Jesus name. Amen, Amen, Amen,
- 4:07Speaker 1: Amen Again. I thank you guys for joining me, whether
- 4:11Speaker 1: you're joining me live or you're hearing this as a replay,
- 4:16Speaker 1: I thank you for being a part of this devotion
- 4:22Speaker 1: on today. So I'm gonna go ahead and get started.
- 4:24Speaker 1: Not gonna be for you very long. I like to
- 4:26Speaker 1: get in and get it over with. So today's scripture
- 4:31Speaker 1: is coming from Chapter eleven, verses twenty eight, and verses
- 4:35Speaker 1: twenty eight through thirty, and it's gonna be coming out
- 4:37Speaker 1: of the new International version. It said, come to me,
- 4:41Speaker 1: all you who are weary and burden, and I will
- 4:44Speaker 1: give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn
- 4:48Speaker 1: from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart,
- 4:51Speaker 1: and you will find rest for your souls. For my
- 4:54Speaker 1: yoke it's easy, and my burden is like I read
- 4:58Speaker 1: Matthew's eleven Versus twenty eight to thirty. May God bless
- 5:02Speaker 1: the reading and hearing of his word, and may we
- 5:04Speaker 1: not just be hearers of his word, but doers of
- 5:06Speaker 1: his word as well. Our affirmation for today is I
- 5:11Speaker 1: find rest for my soul in Christ. Speak that over yourself.
- 5:16Speaker 1: Know that you can find rest for your soul in Christ.
- 5:19Speaker 1: You got to speak it over yourself so that you
- 5:21Speaker 1: can again. I want to welcome you today twenty three
- 5:26Speaker 1: of our devotion journey. Life often leaves us weary with
- 5:32Speaker 1: its long to do list, heavy burdens, and relentless pressures.
- 5:37Speaker 1: But Jesus reaches out with the imitation of pure grace
- 5:41Speaker 1: to come to rest and to renew in His love
- 5:46Speaker 1: in presence. Today, let's discover how to receive the rest
- 5:51Speaker 1: that only Christ can give us, exchanging our anxiety striving
- 5:56Speaker 1: for His peaceful promise. I want to share you a
- 5:59Speaker 1: little back story on this scripture. During Jesus ministry, he
- 6:05Speaker 1: traveled throughout towns and villages, teaching, healing and drawing crowds
- 6:09Speaker 1: to seek hope, truth, and reveal from the weight of
- 6:12Speaker 1: the of daily existence. Life in ancient Israel was often exhausting,
- 6:18Speaker 1: not only because physical labor under the Roman rule, but
- 6:23Speaker 1: also because of heavy spiritual expectations placed on ordinary people.
- 6:28Speaker 1: The religious leaders of Jesus days, especially the Pharisees, taught
- 6:32Speaker 1: the closeness to God came through strict observance of countless laws, traditions,
- 6:39Speaker 1: and rituals. For many, these religious rules felt like a
- 6:44Speaker 1: burden to heavy to bear. One mistake could mean condemnation
- 6:49Speaker 1: or shame. The yoke is biblically, in Biblical time, refers
- 6:54Speaker 1: to a wooden harness that joined two animals together to
- 6:57Speaker 1: pull heavy loads. Religious leaders spoke of the yoke of laws,
- 7:02Speaker 1: which often felt more like the questioning weight than a
- 7:06Speaker 1: source of guidance. Amid the climate of spiritual weird, weariness,
- 7:15Speaker 1: the logistics pressure, Jesus stood up and speaks words that
- 7:22Speaker 1: are both revolutionary and compassionate. Come to me, Are you
- 7:27Speaker 1: who are weary and burden? I would give you rest.
- 7:35Speaker 1: With these words, Jesus were boldly challenging the existing system
- 7:40Speaker 1: for his day. He extended his imitation not to the
- 7:43Speaker 1: perfect or powerful, but to the tire and the discouraged
- 7:48Speaker 1: and the overwhelmed, the very people who felt left out
- 7:51Speaker 1: and weighed down by man made religion and life hardship.
- 7:56Speaker 1: When Jesus spoke of his yoke, he was using a
- 7:59Speaker 1: familiar image, but offering a new meaning. Instead of a
- 8:04Speaker 1: yoke of oppression, he invited them and used He invited
- 8:08Speaker 1: them in us to share his yoke, a yoke that
- 8:12Speaker 1: God but does not crush. A yoke where Jesus himself
- 8:16Speaker 1: stands beside us, sharing the weight and teaching us gently
- 8:20Speaker 1: through relationships, not RUMs. A yoke that fits, crafted in
- 8:25Speaker 1: love and humility, where surrender leads not to weirdness, but
- 8:30Speaker 1: to a soul deep breast and refreshment. This rest goes
- 8:36Speaker 1: far beyond physical relaxation. Jesus promised rests for our soul,
- 8:42Speaker 1: a deep spiritual peace and renewed sense of hope, purpose
- 8:46Speaker 1: and belonging. He causes us to lay down the burdens
- 8:50Speaker 1: of performance, perfectionism, and self reliance. Instead, he offers us
- 8:58Speaker 1: to walk with He offers to walk with us and
- 9:03Speaker 1: carry our heaviest load, exchange anxiety for his gentle strength
- 9:08Speaker 1: and humble love. In essence, Matthew eleven eight and thirty
- 9:14Speaker 1: is an open invitation for the heart of God. It
- 9:17Speaker 1: reaches across culture, time, circumstances, promises of kind of rest
- 9:24Speaker 1: that only the Messiah, gentle, humble, ever present, can truly give.
- 9:31Speaker 1: The word of today is rest. Rest is more than
- 9:35Speaker 1: simply taking a nap, a pausing for daily tasks. It's
- 9:39Speaker 1: a sacred state of renewal found only in the presence
- 9:44Speaker 1: of Christ. While the world teaches us rest by escaping
- 9:48Speaker 1: and disconnecting, Jesus offers us a deep, richer rest. Rest
- 9:54Speaker 1: in Christ means a refreshed soul. This is a inner rejuvenation,
- 9:59Speaker 1: a wash, a way of spiritual weardness and heavenness. It
- 10:03Speaker 1: is God's reviving us from the inside out, watering those
- 10:07Speaker 1: deep roots of our faith in our joy a peaceful mind.
- 10:12Speaker 1: God gives us rest to hushion of the never in
- 10:16Speaker 1: the noise, in the words, in our mind. It comes
- 10:20Speaker 1: and assures that even in circumstances, or even when our
- 10:25Speaker 1: circumstances are stormy, God is in control his presence, His
- 10:30Speaker 1: presence covers us. According to Philippians four and seven, freedom
- 10:35Speaker 1: from anxiety in Christ's rest is the releases us from
- 10:41Speaker 1: trying to earn God's approval or solve every problem in
- 10:45Speaker 1: our own strength. But when we rest, we not only
- 10:49Speaker 1: rest in Him because the work is finished, but because
- 10:53Speaker 1: we trust in the one who is faithful to carry
- 10:56Speaker 1: it out within us and through us. Ultimately, rest in
- 11:03Speaker 1: God's gifts a supernatural imitation to stop striving and surrender
- 11:09Speaker 1: our burdens and receive his unshakable peace even in life
- 11:13Speaker 1: busiest and hardest moment. Rest is not escapism. It is empowerment.
- 11:20Speaker 1: In Christ. Rest is where we draw strength, clarity, and
- 11:25Speaker 1: renewed purpose to keep going, confidence that we don't walk alone.
- 11:31Speaker 1: I want y'all to remember these three things as you
- 11:33Speaker 1: go through our day today. Jesus invites the weary, not
- 11:38Speaker 1: the perfect, come to me all who are weary in
- 11:42Speaker 1: burden Matthew eleven and twenty eight. Jesus imitation is radical,
- 11:47Speaker 1: is radically inclusive. He pacifically calls the weary and burden,
- 11:52Speaker 1: not those who feel strong and self sufficient in culture.
- 11:58Speaker 1: In this culture of time, spiritual and society system has
- 12:02Speaker 1: placed high values on religious achievements and outward perfection. But
- 12:08Speaker 1: Jesus turned those standards upside down. He seeks honesty, he
- 12:13Speaker 1: seeks the hurting, He seeks the humble those and it's
- 12:19Speaker 1: there where we can profine, profound relief and knowing that
- 12:25Speaker 1: we don't need to pretend with God or to clean
- 12:29Speaker 1: ourselves up first, that He would do that if we
- 12:33Speaker 1: just humble ours and come unto Him supporting. If we
- 12:41Speaker 1: go over to Psalms thirty four and eighteen, it says,
- 12:44Speaker 1: the Lord is near the broken, heartened and saves the
- 12:48Speaker 1: Christian spirit. The first step to true trust and rest
- 12:53Speaker 1: is honestly vulnerability with Jesus and him. You can lay
- 12:58Speaker 1: down every facet and trust that He welcomes you exactly
- 13:02Speaker 1: as you are, messy, tired, real I'm talking about a
- 13:07Speaker 1: complete mess was me and I'm talking about me. But
- 13:11Speaker 1: I found rest in the relationship with Christ. I found
- 13:15Speaker 1: rest in learning his scripture, diving deep in the words,
- 13:20Speaker 1: because he say, take my yoke upon you and learn
- 13:24Speaker 1: from me. That's why we got to stay in the word.
- 13:26Speaker 1: We got to dive deep in the word. We got
- 13:28Speaker 1: to get in there and apply that word to our life.
- 13:30Speaker 1: According to Matt Through eleven and twenty nine, he said,
- 13:33Speaker 1: a yoke is a wooden beam that joins two animals
- 13:36Speaker 1: together to pull a load. It is a symbol not
- 13:40Speaker 1: only for work, but also for partnership. Did you hear
- 13:44Speaker 1: that partnership? He didn telling us we had to be
- 13:46Speaker 1: on this journey by ourselves. When Jesus said take ma yo,
- 13:49Speaker 1: he's inviting us to come closer to him, to have
- 13:53Speaker 1: a daily relationship with him, to walk every step with
- 13:55Speaker 1: him by our side. There this is where the difference
- 14:01Speaker 1: lies in religious duty, because it is heavy, because often
- 14:06Speaker 1: we carry it along. When he said, let the yoke
- 14:10Speaker 1: of Christ life in your load. He shares this with
- 14:15Speaker 1: us so that we will be informed, so that we
- 14:17Speaker 1: would know, so that we would know we will not
- 14:19Speaker 1: on this journey by ourselves. Learning from Jesus is not
- 14:22Speaker 1: about information, but it's about transformation, and transforming through his greatness.
- 14:28Speaker 1: In his humility John's fifteen and four, he say, abide
- 14:33Speaker 1: in me, I am in you. It invites us into
- 14:37Speaker 1: a shared life, not a solitary struggle. That means we
- 14:41Speaker 1: don't have to be on this journey by ourselves. That's
- 14:44Speaker 1: why he plays brothers and sisters with us so that
- 14:46Speaker 1: we can do this together. Ask yourself, this, am I
- 14:50Speaker 1: living as if it all depended on me? Or am
- 14:54Speaker 1: I sharing life load with the one that created me?
- 14:59Speaker 1: Learning from his gentle leadership and daily presence, y'all, we
- 15:04Speaker 1: gotta know that we can give it to him, leave
- 15:06Speaker 1: it there, and he will lighten our loads. You can
- 15:11Speaker 1: be rejuvenated and empowered through him if you rest in
- 15:16Speaker 1: him today. He has told us over and over throughout
- 15:19Speaker 1: this lesson. But if you go on down Matthew eleven thirty.
- 15:23Speaker 1: It says, for my yoke, it's easy and my burden
- 15:26Speaker 1: is light. True rest is not in the absence of work,
- 15:31Speaker 1: but in the restoration of the soul and spirit to
- 15:34Speaker 1: continue this journey with strength and Jesus and Jesus rest
- 15:39Speaker 1: is empowerment. The word easy is it originated from Greek currestal,
- 15:48Speaker 1: which means fitting or tailored for you. The burden he
- 15:54Speaker 1: gives isn't isn't no burden at all, but it is
- 15:59Speaker 1: light because it is shared. It is purposeful, and it
- 16:02Speaker 1: is fueled by God's power, not our own. When we
- 16:07Speaker 1: trade starving for surrender, exhaustion becomes energy and burdens becomes
- 16:14Speaker 1: blessings Isaiah forty twenty nine. It says He gives strength
- 16:19Speaker 1: to the weary and increase the power of the week.
- 16:23Speaker 1: God rests renews you in purpose. His assignment invigorates and
- 16:29Speaker 1: instead of depleting, you are equipped to continue, not alone,
- 16:34Speaker 1: but in the hands of your Savior. He has customly
- 16:39Speaker 1: fitted you in the palm of his hand for your calling.
- 16:43Speaker 1: Wal can't it on today? How can you apply this
- 16:46Speaker 1: word that I've shared with you on today into your
- 16:49Speaker 1: daily life? First, you should pause and be present with him.
- 16:54Speaker 1: Take five minutes each morning or each night to sit
- 16:58Speaker 1: quietly with God. Tell him your burdens and invite him
- 17:03Speaker 1: his rest into your art. Replace worry with worship. When
- 17:08Speaker 1: anxiety or weirdness creep in, offer up praise music, a
- 17:13Speaker 1: prayer of gratitude, or simply repeat, Jesus, I receive your rest. Jesus,
- 17:18Speaker 1: I receive your rest. Jesus, I receive your rest. Lean
- 17:22Speaker 1: into God. Promise and remind yourself daily that you are
- 17:26Speaker 1: not alone on this expected You are not alone on
- 17:29Speaker 1: this journey, or is expected to perform perfectly because we
- 17:33Speaker 1: are perfectly all people. We are not perfect people. Meditate,
- 17:39Speaker 1: Meditate on today's scripture, letting God's word bring you peace.
- 17:44Speaker 1: And I leave you with this encouraging word for today. Beloved,
- 17:48Speaker 1: you are seen and known by the one who offered
- 17:52Speaker 1: rest beyond him, beyond humans, understanding, no burden is too heavy,
- 17:58Speaker 1: no worry is too small. Led all at the feet
- 18:02Speaker 1: of Jesus and allow him to trade your stress for
- 18:05Speaker 1: supernatural peace. However, however heavy, your Lord, God is inviting
- 18:12Speaker 1: you into his rest, restoration of your mind, your body,
- 18:16Speaker 1: and your spirit, so that you can walk freely. And
- 18:20Speaker 1: joyfully in your purpose that that he's called you to.
- 18:23Speaker 1: According to Jeremiah twenty nine, any other his word will
- 18:27Speaker 1: not return to him void. He has declared that he
- 18:31Speaker 1: had a plan for you, and the plan was to
- 18:33Speaker 1: prosper you, not to harm you, for you to be
- 18:35Speaker 1: in good health, for you to have hope in the future.
- 18:38Speaker 1: I stand on his word today. I trust his word today,
- 18:42Speaker 1: and I know that his word is going to be
- 18:43Speaker 1: performed and perfected in each and every one of our lives.
- 18:47Speaker 1: So I want you to stand on his word today,
- 18:49Speaker 1: and I want you to know that God is with you,
- 18:51Speaker 1: that he carries you everywhere you go. Okay, take these
- 18:57Speaker 1: words today and apply it to your life, don't you
- 19:00Speaker 1: be words that you've heard me say are words that
- 19:03Speaker 1: you read on these pages, but applied to your life.
- 19:06Speaker 1: That's why he gave it to us, so that we
- 19:07Speaker 1: can apply. We got to learn how to put our
- 19:10Speaker 1: name in the place of those names that's in that Bible,
- 19:13Speaker 1: because this is our this is supposed to be our
- 19:15Speaker 1: basic instruction before leaving Earth, and this is what we're
- 19:20Speaker 1: supposed to do. So you got to go in and
- 19:22Speaker 1: you got to apply it to your life so that
- 19:24Speaker 1: it can manifest in those things that He's called and
- 19:27Speaker 1: purpose you to do. They can come forth. So, Father God,
- 19:30Speaker 1: in the name of Jesus, Lord, I thank you for
- 19:32Speaker 1: this time. I thank you for this lesson that you
- 19:34Speaker 1: are allowed to come forth on today, Lord God Father,
- 19:36Speaker 1: as these words has coming out my mouth and they've
- 19:39Speaker 1: fallen into hopefully fertile saying, fertile ground, Lord God, I
- 19:44Speaker 1: pray that you will take these seeds, Lord God, these
- 19:46Speaker 1: seeds of this lesson, Lord God, and Father, apply it
- 19:50Speaker 1: and multiplied in the lives of those that receive it.
- 19:53Speaker 1: Lord God Father, we thank you right now for going
- 19:55Speaker 1: before us, straightening out every quoked path, leveling every mountain,
- 19:59Speaker 1: Lord God, that we may be the sons and daughters
- 20:01Speaker 1: that you've called and purpose. At this time, Father, stir
- 20:04Speaker 1: up those gifts, continue to stir up those gifts. Lord God,
- 20:06Speaker 1: give us the strength to stand that we may that
- 20:10Speaker 1: we may see the manifestation of your word, Lord God,
- 20:12Speaker 1: because we know that your word will not return to
- 20:14Speaker 1: your boy, that you will watch over into its perform
- 20:17Speaker 1: and perfected in each and every one of our life. Father,
- 20:19Speaker 1: have your way in our lives today, Lord God Father,
- 20:22Speaker 1: as we go out into this world. Your word tells
- 20:24Speaker 1: us that we have to be in this world, but
- 20:26Speaker 1: not of this world. Father, Have your way in each
- 20:29Speaker 1: and every one of our lives. Lord God Father, allow
- 20:32Speaker 1: your holy Spirit to allow us to walk into rooms,
- 20:35Speaker 1: and that people don't see us in the flesh for God,
- 20:38Speaker 1: but they see your glow. They see your spirit man
- 20:40Speaker 1: working within us or God. And they asked what must
- 20:43Speaker 1: they do to be saved? Father? That person that may
- 20:46Speaker 1: not know you. On today, Lord God, may they come
- 20:48Speaker 1: in contact with somebody that can share your goodness and
- 20:51Speaker 1: witness to them, Lord God, that they may come out
- 20:54Speaker 1: and be set free. Father, we thank you on today.
- 20:57Speaker 1: We thank you for all that you have done, all
- 20:59Speaker 1: that you are doing, and all that you shall do.
- 21:01Speaker 1: Lord God Father, have your way in each and every
- 21:03Speaker 1: one of our lives. And this is my unto you.
- 21:06Speaker 1: This morning. I pray and your son Jesus' name a
- 21:08Speaker 1: man a man a man a man. I pray that
- 21:11Speaker 1: you guys are blessed beyond what you can see in
- 21:12Speaker 1: the natural. I will be right back here on tomorrow. Tomorrow,
- 21:16Speaker 1: it's day twenty four of this journk this devotion, and
- 21:21Speaker 1: to title for tomorrow's lesson, it's being a light. We're
- 21:24Speaker 1: gonna be coming again out of Matthews, but we're going
- 21:26Speaker 1: to be coming out of Chapter five, verses fourteen through sixteen,
- 21:31Speaker 1: as we discover how God empowers us to shine for other.
- 21:35Speaker 1: You are a light to someone, be that beacon, a
- 21:37Speaker 1: light unto someone, that they may be drawn, that they
