- 0:00Speaker 1: Tampa Bay's best music is Magigazz ninety four nine.
- 0:04Speaker 2: Welcome to another episode of Scott and Abbey Unfiltered, where
- 0:07Speaker 2: we get to talk about things that were not necessarily
- 0:10Speaker 2: able to get to on the actual show, and a
- 0:12Speaker 2: lot of things either for legal reasons but also time reasons,
- 0:15Speaker 2: and I want to have an opportunity to go.
- 0:17Speaker 1: More in depth and things.
- 0:19Speaker 2: And so Abby were talking off the mic on your
- 0:21Speaker 2: Saturday Funday that you had out in Tampa with your
- 0:25Speaker 2: mother and your family, and I got to see you
- 0:27Speaker 2: that night. We talked about that on the other podcast,
- 0:29Speaker 2: but I am curious on how the day went before
- 0:32Speaker 2: and what all shenanigans that y'all got up to.
- 0:35Speaker 3: I actually had a really fun day in Tampa on Saturday.
- 0:37Speaker 3: So my mom was in town and I can't remember
- 0:40Speaker 3: why she was here, but we had made plans on
- 0:44Speaker 3: Saturday because my mom like, she likes to get out early,
- 0:46Speaker 3: she likes to do things, and so I had seen
- 0:49Speaker 3: the Sprits Bar post about how they were doing a
- 0:51Speaker 3: free pilates class, and so my mom and I both
- 0:54Speaker 3: like to work out, so I was like, why don't
- 0:55Speaker 3: we go to the Sprits Bar. Well, dual workout. We
- 0:58Speaker 3: were going to beat everybody for lunch afterwards anyway on
- 1:01Speaker 3: the river walk, so why don't we just go do that.
- 1:02Speaker 3: So anyway, we show up and my dumb ass didn't
- 1:06Speaker 3: read the fine print and know that you had to
- 1:09Speaker 3: bring a mat.
- 1:10Speaker 1: I'd never read the fast print. I never do it.
- 1:12Speaker 1: I know, I get it.
- 1:13Speaker 3: I guess in my mind, I was like, Okay, well,
- 1:14Speaker 3: I'm showing up to this free pilates class. Surely they're
- 1:17Speaker 3: going to have like equipment and mats. And so we
- 1:20Speaker 3: show up to the Sprits Bar and the entire floor,
- 1:22Speaker 3: by the way, isn't like you know, tile, it's stone
- 1:27Speaker 3: and pavement. And so it's me and one hundred and
- 1:29Speaker 3: fifty other biddies who decided to come out to pilates
- 1:33Speaker 3: on Saturday. And my mom and I were just looking
- 1:35Speaker 3: at each other, like what do we do? What do
- 1:36Speaker 3: we do? What do we do? So we talk to
- 1:37Speaker 3: the lady. She's like, we have mats coming, but just
- 1:39Speaker 3: like go find a place and figure it out. So
- 1:42Speaker 3: my Mom's like, I want to go to the back.
- 1:43Speaker 3: I don't want to stay here in the minute in
- 1:44Speaker 3: the front and there's all these girls or all we're
- 1:45Speaker 3: in their alo sides, so I'm scared of them.
- 1:46Speaker 2: I would have been so anxious, like literally just being
- 1:48Speaker 2: in that environment or hearing you talk about it makes
- 1:51Speaker 2: me anxious of like the judgment that not fitting in,
- 1:55Speaker 2: not being prepared.
- 1:56Speaker 1: I'm like, oh my god, I might as well just
- 1:57Speaker 1: go home.
- 1:58Speaker 3: It was so anxiety and ducne and we showed up
- 2:00Speaker 3: up early early ish, I mean like ten minutes early,
- 2:03Speaker 3: thinking Okay, the Mets will be there and then we'll
- 2:05Speaker 3: be ready to go. Everyone's already there taking photos. It's
- 2:08Speaker 3: all the influencer girlies in Tampa. And so my mom
- 2:10Speaker 3: and I stand in the back and I'm like, Mom,
- 2:12Speaker 3: we need to sit down to assert our domins because
- 2:15Speaker 3: look at how many no. Like literally, I'm like, we
- 2:17Speaker 3: need to sit down to show that we're standing here
- 2:19Speaker 3: and like this is our spot, because I guarantee you
- 2:21Speaker 3: this is gonna become a problem. She's like okay, So
- 2:23Speaker 3: I sit down, and she's still standing in. I'm looking
- 2:25Speaker 3: at her like what the fuck are you doing? So
- 2:26Speaker 3: I stand up because now I'm the only one sitting down,
- 2:29Speaker 3: and as these girls keep filing in, girls would literally
- 2:34Speaker 3: come up to the area my mom and I were
- 2:36Speaker 3: standing in not even It's like we weren't even there.
- 2:39Speaker 3: It's like we were completely invisible, and they would just
- 2:41Speaker 3: start setting up their mats.
- 2:42Speaker 1: Oh that is so awkward.
- 2:43Speaker 3: And I had to look at no less than three
- 2:47Speaker 3: different Tampa Biddy's and go, my mom and I are
- 2:51Speaker 3: gonna do pull outis right here, and they wouldn't even
- 2:54Speaker 3: look me in the eye. They would just go oh
- 2:55Speaker 3: and then like go find some other place to sit
- 2:57Speaker 3: and go in front of us.
- 2:59Speaker 2: I wish she could just be like more human because
- 3:00Speaker 2: you finally because I don't know about you, but I like,
- 3:02Speaker 2: it probably takes me five minutes like get the courage
- 3:04Speaker 2: to say something, because I'd be like, all right, how
- 3:07Speaker 2: am I going to say it? When am I going
- 3:08Speaker 2: to say it? I gotta find the right time to
- 3:09Speaker 2: say it. And then I finally say it and then
- 3:11Speaker 2: just don't even acknowledge you. It's like, hey, by the way,
- 3:14Speaker 2: I'm already here. And then they're just like leap you. Okay.
- 3:19Speaker 1: I was just okay, I'm sorry, I'll just I'll leave.
- 3:21Speaker 3: All you had to say was oh my god, my bad.
- 3:23Speaker 1: Yeah, move on human about it. He's so friendly. That's
- 3:25Speaker 1: isn't that the point?
- 3:26Speaker 2: Yes, you're getting to work out in But I thought
- 3:28Speaker 2: the whole idea of like these social gatherings was to
- 3:31Speaker 2: like meet friends and try something new.
- 3:33Speaker 3: Oh my god, it was horrifying. And so my mom
- 3:35Speaker 3: and I because my mom then finally gets the point
- 3:37Speaker 3: because I knew what I was walking into, like these
- 3:39Speaker 3: are the Tampa, the downtown Tampa influencer types, Like they're
- 3:42Speaker 3: a different breed. We have to assert our dominance. So finally,
- 3:44Speaker 3: for the third one, my mom goes, Okay, we're sitting down.
- 3:47Speaker 3: So we'd sit down on this hard pavement and it's
- 3:49Speaker 3: literally we look so dumb because everyone has their mats,
- 3:52Speaker 3: everyone got the memo except for me and my mom.
- 3:53Speaker 1: Ah.
- 3:55Speaker 3: So we're sitting in the back and finally the girls
- 3:58Speaker 3: are getting the message that we're here and we're doing
- 4:00Speaker 3: pilates and we're watching them take their photos and you know,
- 4:02Speaker 3: they look cute and stuff. But my mom and I
- 4:04Speaker 3: were kind of sitting there going, wow, this feels like
- 4:06Speaker 3: very performative and just very absolutely which is total hater
- 4:10Speaker 3: energy from me. But I think we felt so spurned
- 4:13Speaker 3: by some of these girls that we were like, this
- 4:14Speaker 3: is so messed up. And there were two energies that
- 4:19Speaker 3: I was picking up on this pilates class. The first
- 4:22Speaker 3: was that, yes, it was very influencery type, so lots
- 4:25Speaker 3: of like photos taken and like you know such everyone. Yeah,
- 4:29Speaker 3: everyone's posing, everyone is their sets on. But I was
- 4:32Speaker 3: like right behind this girl who was recording her workout,
- 4:35Speaker 3: and the whole time, I'm thinking, my camel toe is
- 4:37Speaker 3: in full I's gonna be in a full view of
- 4:41Speaker 3: this influencer type cute little workout. Meanwhile I'm in the
- 4:45Speaker 3: back like like like just trying to work. So I
- 4:49Speaker 3: feel really good about how many sprits is I'm gonna
- 4:52Speaker 3: house after this. And the other thing that I thought
- 4:55Speaker 3: was really funny was I could just tell and maybe
- 4:59Speaker 3: this is just me making an inference, but it felt
- 5:05Speaker 3: a little bit like the one of those modern day
- 5:09Speaker 3: Cinderella story retellings. Have you seen those movies? No, So
- 5:13Speaker 3: these are the type of films that would go straight
- 5:15Speaker 3: to DVD when girls my age would grow up. So
- 5:18Speaker 3: I'm in like the gen Z millennial cusp. And there
- 5:22Speaker 3: are probably no less than five Cinderella straight to DVD
- 5:26Speaker 3: remakes that I watched as a kid. It would star
- 5:28Speaker 3: Selena Gomez, Sarah Hyland, maybe like whatever big Disney star
- 5:35Speaker 3: was popping off at the time. Hillary stuff. There was
- 5:37Speaker 3: a movie about Cinderella that she was starring in, but
- 5:41Speaker 3: it was always a modern day retelling. I remember telling
- 5:44Speaker 3: my mom after this, I'm like, this feels a little
- 5:47Speaker 3: bit like I'm in one of those straight to DVD
- 5:50Speaker 3: films where every princess in the land shows up to
- 5:54Speaker 3: the ball in hopes of securing the prince. And I'll
- 5:56Speaker 3: tell you why, oh boy, because the two guys that
- 6:00Speaker 3: run this Sprits bar are like Italian models.
- 6:04Speaker 1: Oh good lord, And I just.
- 6:07Speaker 3: Knew because one of them was walking around. I could
- 6:11Speaker 3: just telepathically sense. I'm like, I feel like subconsciously ninety
- 6:14Speaker 3: percent of the girls that showed up to this event
- 6:17Speaker 3: showed up so they could wear their cue little But
- 6:19Speaker 3: now that there's anything wrong with this, and I'm just
- 6:21Speaker 3: picking up on the energy. They all show up to
- 6:23Speaker 3: the pilates workout class. They're in their little set and
- 6:27Speaker 3: they're like, well, I'm gonna donkey kick better than the
- 6:29Speaker 3: rest of these hoes, and I'm gonna get the air
- 6:32Speaker 3: to the Sprits Kingdom. I was just watching afterwards, like
- 6:38Speaker 3: all the girls flirting with him and stuff, and I
- 6:40Speaker 3: was like, oh my god, I feel like I'm watching
- 6:41Speaker 3: Animal Planet, Like this is so fun for me, Like
- 6:43Speaker 3: watching this these interactions go down again, there's nothing I'm
- 6:46Speaker 3: not like. I really don't want to sound like I'm
- 6:47Speaker 3: hating on these girls, being like, oh, you're so pretty interested.
- 6:50Speaker 1: I think we're all honest with ourselves.
- 6:51Speaker 2: We've all observed something like this, whether it's here or another.
- 6:56Speaker 3: I was observing it. And then also some of them
- 6:58Speaker 3: were kind of bitchy, so I was like, this is
- 6:59Speaker 3: kind of you feel do you feel a little bit
- 7:02Speaker 3: like this is like every girl showed up in hopes
- 7:05Speaker 3: of losing their new balance slipper, I lost my safe.
- 7:11Speaker 2: Italian man gosh to be that guy. That's like, oh,
- 7:15Speaker 2: good for them though, because that's the new spot. I
- 7:17Speaker 2: think that's why everyone's checking it out. It's any place
- 7:19Speaker 2: in Tampa that's new. Everyone wants to flock there, and
- 7:23Speaker 2: of course you want to dress your best, you want
- 7:25Speaker 2: to look your best because you never know who's gonna
- 7:27Speaker 2: be in downtown Tampa.
- 7:29Speaker 3: And it is a cool spot, Like we had the
- 7:32Speaker 3: best weather. It was sunny out, it was pretty, it
- 7:34Speaker 3: was like breeze.
- 7:35Speaker 2: That's why you guys were day drinking, because how could
- 7:37Speaker 2: you skip that experience? So not out of all those amazing,
- 7:42Speaker 2: amazing women, you didn't walk away with like one friendship.
- 7:44Speaker 2: You're like, oh my god, hey, Girley, let's get drinks afterwards.
- 7:47Speaker 3: You know, It's so funny. The one woman we talked
- 7:48Speaker 3: to was this woman who was probably my mom's age
- 7:50Speaker 3: behind us, and she was very nice. I was worried
- 7:53Speaker 3: she was gonna kick me in the face couple times
- 7:54Speaker 3: because that's how close we all were. It was a
- 7:57Speaker 3: little hard to work out because I was like, I
- 7:58Speaker 3: don't want to get like sued for punching someone in
- 8:00Speaker 3: the face by accident. But no, I mean all the
- 8:02Speaker 3: girls were either very nervous and so looked very shy.
- 8:06Speaker 3: Because I'm trying not to project my insecurity, I'm feeling
- 8:09Speaker 3: like I was rejected, but it would. There was just
- 8:12Speaker 3: a very charged energy there, and maybe it's because those
- 8:17Speaker 3: girls were kind of bitchy when I was like, hey,
- 8:19Speaker 3: my mom and I work it out right here. But yeah,
- 8:22Speaker 3: it wasn't a very friendly environment. And this isn't the
- 8:25Speaker 3: first time I've heard other girls in Tampa vocalize this.
- 8:28Speaker 2: I've heard it's very competitive, like women could be very
- 8:31Speaker 2: competitive with each other in these environments, which it I mean,
- 8:35Speaker 2: guys could be too, But I feel like once we
- 8:37Speaker 2: get together, we kind of.
- 8:37Speaker 1: Just all like drop that and we bro out.
- 8:39Speaker 2: Yeah, Like that's how I felt at the Run Club,
- 8:41Speaker 2: where I was like, oh man, these guys are jacked,
- 8:43Speaker 2: and then as you saw I walked by and they're
- 8:44Speaker 2: like dude, and they just dap up and it's like,
- 8:46Speaker 2: oh all right, My insecurity was just kind of made
- 8:49Speaker 2: up in my head.
- 8:49Speaker 3: Yeah, but did you notice the difference when we went
- 8:51Speaker 3: to Run Club that guys were coming up to you
- 8:53Speaker 3: and being like, dude, what's up? What's up? And then
- 8:55Speaker 3: we would approach the women and they would be like
- 8:57Speaker 3: a deer in a headlights at first.
- 8:58Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 8:59Speaker 2: And I feel and I've talked to so many women
- 9:01Speaker 2: about this, and I feel like you just a lot
- 9:03Speaker 2: of women are just on guard because how many times
- 9:06Speaker 2: does somebody come up and approach and it's weird, it's creepy,
- 9:09Speaker 2: it's I think it's slightly dangerous where you're like, okay,
- 9:12Speaker 2: I get it while you're on guard. And that's why
- 9:13Speaker 2: it also again makes it weird for a guy to
- 9:16Speaker 2: go approach a girl because you're like, oh God, how
- 9:18Speaker 2: many times does this happen to you? How many other
- 9:21Speaker 2: weird encounters have you had? And how could I prove
- 9:23Speaker 2: in a quick amount of time that I'm not one
- 9:24Speaker 2: of those weirdos?
- 9:25Speaker 1: Now?
- 9:25Speaker 3: I get that, But I'm a lady, you know what
- 9:27Speaker 3: I mean. Yes, I'm not going to hurt you.
- 9:29Speaker 1: That's understandable. I'm also a victim, I know, And I
- 9:31Speaker 1: think maybe.
- 9:31Speaker 2: It's just a numbers game, like the more of these
- 9:33Speaker 2: events you go to, like, the more opportunity you're going
- 9:36Speaker 2: to have to meet somebody actually really nice. And also,
- 9:39Speaker 2: again I continue to toot this horn, but man, you
- 9:42Speaker 2: do like a yoga event like Saint Pete Gosh, dang
- 9:46Speaker 2: the Yogi's, or you go to like the Needed on
- 9:49Speaker 2: a Saturday, You're like, okay, vibes completely different.
- 9:52Speaker 3: Oh, I want to go to one of those tub clubs.
- 9:54Speaker 1: Yeah, the tub club will be sweet.
- 9:56Speaker 3: Top Club was this weekend, but I didn't couldn't go
- 9:58Speaker 3: because I was so hungover. I was like, I can't,
- 10:00Speaker 3: I can't go to that. But I do want to
- 10:01Speaker 3: go to tub club.
- 10:02Speaker 1: I don't know when they are.
- 10:03Speaker 2: I see them pop up all the time, but I
- 10:04Speaker 2: always see them pop up when it's too late.
- 10:06Speaker 3: Let me pull it up.
- 10:07Speaker 2: I gotta fallow a gateway subs because they have it
- 10:08Speaker 2: all the time. They're always there handing out subs.
- 10:10Speaker 3: There's one in Saint Pete that was this weekend, which,
- 10:12Speaker 3: by the way, if you're if you're thinking, what is
- 10:14Speaker 3: tub Club, it's the ice Plunge parties and they look
- 10:18Speaker 3: so fun.
- 10:19Speaker 1: It's literally a DJ you.
- 10:20Speaker 2: I mean, I don't know if you're gonna like the
- 10:21Speaker 2: music because it's probably it's the whoop music that I'm
- 10:24Speaker 2: woun up freaking love. And then it's everyone's hopping in
- 10:27Speaker 2: a nice a nice tub and you're just vibing out
- 10:30Speaker 2: and I'm meeting cool people.
- 10:31Speaker 3: It's the Sunday Best Cold Tub Coffee Club. At Cold
- 10:35Speaker 3: Tub Coffee Club on Instagram, I.
- 10:37Speaker 1: See, okay.
- 10:38Speaker 2: I didn't know they had a whole page dedicated to it.
- 10:39Speaker 2: I thought it was just a random pop up.
- 10:41Speaker 3: No, literally, it looks so full.
- 10:42Speaker 2: Well, I got okay, that's okay. My first initial reaction.
- 10:45Speaker 2: I just saw the Instagram. I got so intimidated because
- 10:47Speaker 2: that was like five hundred people.
- 10:49Speaker 3: So imagine so the video I just showed him is
- 10:51Speaker 3: a bunch of people doing plots or yoga together. Imagine
- 10:55Speaker 3: this but way more crowded, and all at the Sourcy Spirts.
- 11:00Speaker 3: We're all so crowded. We're all like what if we're
- 11:02Speaker 3: all wearing the same allo set? Yeah, we all have
- 11:04Speaker 3: the same four different types of clock clips.
- 11:06Speaker 2: And you know what, that's when I just walk up
- 11:07Speaker 2: and i just put on this like confident look and
- 11:09Speaker 2: I'm like, you know what, I'm just gonna talk to
- 11:10Speaker 2: everyone and I'm gonna get rejected thirty times to get
- 11:12Speaker 2: the one yes.
- 11:13Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 11:14Speaker 1: Because that's why.
- 11:14Speaker 2: We went to a beach bar on Saturday. And we
- 11:17Speaker 2: got up there and I was not feeling social, but
- 11:20Speaker 2: it was the whoopedie whoop music and everyone's dancing, so
- 11:22Speaker 2: I was like, you know what, Scott fitt, I'm gonna
- 11:24Speaker 2: go and just have.
- 11:25Speaker 1: A good time.
- 11:25Speaker 2: And so I just started whoopedy whooping in and I
- 11:27Speaker 2: part putting my hands up in the air, and this
- 11:29Speaker 2: like you know group started, like kind of it felt
- 11:32Speaker 2: like they maybe wanted to interact with me, so they
- 11:34Speaker 2: kind of slid closer to me, but I was not
- 11:36Speaker 2: in a talking mood. But it just feels like, okay,
- 11:40Speaker 2: if you want just be the first one to say hello,
- 11:43Speaker 2: start the conversation, give the high five, hype somebody else up,
- 11:46Speaker 2: because somebody else is gonna.
- 11:47Speaker 1: Be nervous too.
- 11:47Speaker 2: So I'm hoping that this the tub party will be
- 11:51Speaker 2: easier because when you get into the tub, the first
- 11:54Speaker 2: thing you could say is gosh, day on the stink's cold. Yeah,
- 11:57Speaker 2: and then somebody's like, oh my god, I agree first time. Yep,
- 12:00Speaker 2: cool friends. This is horrifying, I know, but I think
- 12:04Speaker 2: it's a good idea.
- 12:04Speaker 3: Yeah, So I just checked the page. They don't have
- 12:06Speaker 3: an announcement for when it's going to be.
- 12:08Speaker 1: That's what I like.
- 12:09Speaker 2: I need a date, I know, because I can't well,
- 12:11Speaker 2: I can't do this weekend, but I would love to
- 12:13Speaker 2: be able to put one on the calendar to get
- 12:15Speaker 2: there like we did run Club.
- 12:17Speaker 3: I'm going to assume that they do it once a month.
- 12:19Speaker 3: So the first they did one on the fifteenth, So
- 12:21Speaker 3: let's make an educated guess, one to Freeport. The next
- 12:26Speaker 3: one's gonna be Nope, because that's Easter.
- 12:28Speaker 1: You can still do one on Easter. Turn up on
- 12:30Speaker 1: a tub.
- 12:31Speaker 3: No, the Lord, that's not good planning.
- 12:33Speaker 1: Easter.
- 12:34Speaker 3: Sunday's the fifth and then orthodox Easter is the twelfth.
- 12:37Speaker 1: So they say, who organizes this? Who puts these things on?
- 12:39Speaker 3: Yeah it's the Cold Tub Coffee Club I know.
- 12:41Speaker 2: But who's in charge of that old Tub Coffee Club?
- 12:46Speaker 2: I think they're on fourth in Saint Pete. I think no, no,
- 12:49Speaker 2: because it.
- 12:49Speaker 3: Says next events to be announced. But it's just in
- 12:52Speaker 3: Saint Pete.
- 12:53Speaker 2: Okay, so wherever it pops up, we'll go. We'll make
- 12:55Speaker 2: a committed effort. If you're in town.
- 12:57Speaker 1: I want to go to Top Club.
- 12:58Speaker 2: Yeah, we're going to go to Tup Club. I want
- 12:59Speaker 2: to go and just to a nice tub hangout, meet
- 13:03Speaker 2: new people. I also want to go to Panel's Run
- 13:04Speaker 2: Club to meet some of those people, because I think
- 13:06Speaker 2: what's gonna happen is the more that you do these things,
- 13:08Speaker 2: you're gonna see the same sets of people that go
- 13:11Speaker 2: to a lot. Like I have a buddy CT like
- 13:13Speaker 2: everybody knows him in Saint Pete because he goes to
- 13:16Speaker 2: literally every event and he's super tall, super friendly, and
- 13:22Speaker 2: he's an inn to get to know everybody else.
- 13:25Speaker 3: Why do you never introduce me to these tall friends
- 13:27Speaker 3: you have?
- 13:27Speaker 1: Okay, well we haven't gone to these events yet. In
- 13:29Speaker 1: Saint Pete.
- 13:30Speaker 3: So we need to go to Panel's Run Club. I
- 13:31Speaker 3: also need to take.
- 13:32Speaker 2: You to bool On correct that's two, and then we'll
- 13:34Speaker 2: go to tub Club and then if you want to
- 13:37Speaker 2: get really hippie dippy, we'll go to the Drum Circle
- 13:39Speaker 2: and Treasure Island.
- 13:40Speaker 1: Yeah, you'll meet nice people. See.
- 13:44Speaker 2: I like the hippie vibes. That's where I thrive. People
- 13:46Speaker 2: are very friendly, the very nice. That's why I go
- 13:48Speaker 2: to beach Kombucha. That's why I went on.
- 13:50Speaker 1: That speed dating event.
- 13:51Speaker 2: And it was so easy to just talk to people
- 13:53Speaker 2: because we're just super earthy. Yeah, I've gotten older and
- 13:55Speaker 2: I've gotten more earthy.
- 13:57Speaker 3: You act like you're really you're not very earthy.
- 13:59Speaker 1: I'm earthy in my heart, in your heart. Part about
- 14:01Speaker 1: me is not earthy.
- 14:02Speaker 3: Look at you. You're wearing like an alo Fabletex T
- 14:05Speaker 3: shirt Lululemon pants.
- 14:07Speaker 2: The'se Okay, Well, I'm still earthy in my soul. I
- 14:10Speaker 2: don't dress earthy. I just wear what I have and
- 14:13Speaker 2: I don't really buy new clothes, so that's kind of earthy. Okay,
- 14:16Speaker 2: this is a free shirt. That's how earthy I am.
- 14:19Speaker 2: I was given out. We went out on before I
- 14:22Speaker 2: went on the Zoomba cruse, I went on another date
- 14:24Speaker 2: and we went out to a beach bar at it's
- 14:27Speaker 2: like Krabby Bills, That's what it's called. Krabby Bills, Holy
- 14:30Speaker 2: crap Rabby Bills, Krabby Bills over by, let's just call
- 14:34Speaker 2: it Indian Rocks Beach, that's what it was. And I
- 14:38Speaker 2: was blown away by the good ass time that we had.
- 14:43Speaker 2: It was a very spontaneous. Let's go check out the
- 14:46Speaker 2: vibe down the street. And as we drive by, we
- 14:49Speaker 2: look over at Krabby Bills and it is just flooded
- 14:53Speaker 2: with just a bunch of beach bums, like old people,
- 14:55Speaker 2: young people, all in between. And it's probably a hundreds
- 15:00Speaker 2: live band packed bar. And so we walk in and
- 15:04Speaker 2: initially I'm in charge of finding the table. My date goes,
- 15:07Speaker 2: you know, like rushings up in the bathroom. I'm in
- 15:09Speaker 2: charge of finding a table. There's none to be found,
- 15:11Speaker 2: and so I find a spot at the bar and
- 15:14Speaker 2: it's next to the most fierce woman, badass woman that
- 15:19Speaker 2: I've ever met in my life.
- 15:21Speaker 1: And I didn't know it at the time either. You
- 15:23Speaker 1: were You're in our heart.
- 15:25Speaker 3: It was happy.
- 15:26Speaker 1: What a lead up. I wish that was the intro.
- 15:28Speaker 2: I can you imagine that would be insane, But this
- 15:30Speaker 2: woman was I think she said she was sixty eight, and.
- 15:36Speaker 1: She had this bright red lipstick on, and so I
- 15:39Speaker 1: sat down.
- 15:40Speaker 2: She has her hair beautifully done, these badass sunglasses with
- 15:44Speaker 2: like diamonds on them, and I don't even start a
- 15:47Speaker 2: conversation yet.
- 15:48Speaker 1: I'm just standing at the bar looking over at the band.
- 15:50Speaker 2: Well, my date walks up and they start striking up
- 15:53Speaker 2: a conversation and we become the trio for the next
- 15:56Speaker 2: six hours, six hours, six hours at this bar where
- 16:00Speaker 2: we start diving into each other's lives. And immediately this
- 16:03Speaker 2: woman starts joking with me that she's gonna, you know,
- 16:06Speaker 2: take me from my date. Like she's like, you know,
- 16:08Speaker 2: kind of hitting on me. She's into you, she's into me.
- 16:11Speaker 2: She's like, you better be careful because I'm gonna take
- 16:13Speaker 2: your man.
- 16:13Speaker 1: I was like, you better, come on, now, are you
- 16:14Speaker 1: revealing the name? I think we're gonna we're and call
- 16:17Speaker 1: her D.
- 16:17Speaker 2: We're gonna call her D yeah, yeah, just to keep
- 16:20Speaker 2: her name innocent because some of the things.
- 16:22Speaker 1: That she revealed was just so cool.
- 16:25Speaker 2: Where at first we just started talking about how we're
- 16:28Speaker 2: on this date where it started. It started at sunrise,
- 16:31Speaker 2: and now six hours later here we are at the
- 16:32Speaker 2: bar and it goes on for another six hours. And
- 16:35Speaker 2: we start talking to her about how she's single and
- 16:38Speaker 2: she's out here, you know, looking for a man, but
- 16:40Speaker 2: all these men are trash and we're like amen. She's like,
- 16:43Speaker 2: you see all them they they don't know how to
- 16:45Speaker 2: present themselves. They don't know how to dance with me.
- 16:47Speaker 2: I'm a dancer. She gets up, go starts dancing in
- 16:50Speaker 2: front of the band. Nobody else is dancing. She turns
- 16:52Speaker 2: the entire bar up. I'm like, this is my kind
- 16:54Speaker 2: of woman. And so she comes back. I'm like, so,
- 16:56Speaker 2: why are you single. She's like, well, I've had some
- 16:59Speaker 2: pretty rough experien and says with men. That's why I'm
- 17:01Speaker 2: like a triple black belt in karate. I'm like, what,
- 17:04Speaker 2: Oh my.
- 17:05Speaker 3: God, that's so sad, it's insane.
- 17:07Speaker 2: She starts telling us the stories that not my business
- 17:09Speaker 2: to tell, but she starts telling us how that was
- 17:11Speaker 2: the moment that she decided, you know what, I don't
- 17:14Speaker 2: need no man. I'm gonna learn every skill possible to
- 17:17Speaker 2: one keep myself safe, to be a badass.
- 17:19Speaker 1: In this world.
- 17:20Speaker 2: And so she starts she puts her hands on me
- 17:23Speaker 2: and starts showing me all the spots on my body
- 17:25Speaker 2: that could simply just kill me. She's like, oh, you
- 17:27Speaker 2: see this, and she puts her thumb on the middle
- 17:29Speaker 2: of my neck and she's like, I could take you
- 17:31Speaker 2: out right now. I'm like, oh my god, I'm like scared,
- 17:33Speaker 2: but I'm also kind of into it. I was like, wow,
- 17:36Speaker 2: like being out, how hello for dinner? Yeah, And she
- 17:40Speaker 2: like puts her hands like on the side of my
- 17:41Speaker 2: neck kind of like chokes me out for a second.
- 17:43Speaker 3: I'm like, this guy's like, now I'm really into this time.
- 17:46Speaker 1: I didn't think I was, but I was like I
- 17:48Speaker 1: was like, d like you are. You are freaky, but like, you.
- 17:50Speaker 2: Know what, it's like taking notes in the bag so
- 17:53Speaker 2: funny because we're just cracking up the entire time. The
- 17:56Speaker 2: conversation gets so good with this woman that she's like,
- 18:00Speaker 2: you know what, I love you too.
- 18:02Speaker 1: I think you're adorable. Do you want to treat? I'm
- 18:05Speaker 1: like a treat?
- 18:06Speaker 2: I was like in my moment, I'm like looking at
- 18:08Speaker 2: my date, I'm like, I think we just got a
- 18:09Speaker 2: sugar mama, Like I really do. In all honesty. I
- 18:13Speaker 2: think she is about to become a sugar mama. She's like, now,
- 18:16Speaker 2: I'll be right back. She runs back to her car,
- 18:19Speaker 2: comes back to the bar with this box of desserts.
- 18:23Speaker 1: She comes in.
- 18:23Speaker 2: She's like, one of the things I love to do
- 18:26Speaker 2: is I love to bake. And when someone's super nice
- 18:28Speaker 2: and they're super sweet, I like to give them something sweet.
- 18:30Speaker 2: And so she presents this box of these beautifully made
- 18:34Speaker 2: like chocolate chip bars, these lemon cake bars, and so
- 18:38Speaker 2: she presents them to us as our treat for being
- 18:41Speaker 2: so kind. And we're eating desserts at the bar with
- 18:43Speaker 2: this amazing woman de And then as I go up
- 18:47Speaker 2: and I dance with her at the stage with the band,
- 18:50Speaker 2: I'm twisting and around.
- 18:51Speaker 1: We're kind of like grinding up against each other.
- 18:53Speaker 2: It's you're grinding with It is a moment because she
- 18:57Speaker 2: again she doesn't take no shit.
- 18:59Speaker 1: She's like she knows what she wants.
- 19:00Speaker 2: She's like flirty, playful, fears like honestly sexy. And so
- 19:06Speaker 2: we're dancing and then she goes back gets my date.
- 19:11Speaker 2: She brings her out to the dance floor. There on
- 19:13Speaker 2: the dance floor, dating again all things. I'm like we
- 19:16Speaker 2: literally just got a sugar mama, And so I look
- 19:17Speaker 2: at my date when you know D walks away, I'm like,
- 19:20Speaker 2: there's two things that could happen. Either we're gonna get
- 19:23Speaker 2: paid for dating her, We're gonna fall in love with her,
- 19:25Speaker 2: but this is gonna be a thruffle situation, or she's
- 19:28Speaker 2: gonna kill us. Because before I took a bite of
- 19:31Speaker 2: the treat, I looked at my date and I said, like,
- 19:33Speaker 2: I I'm scared this might be roofyed, Like, I scared,
- 19:36Speaker 2: I'm scared.
- 19:37Speaker 1: That's what I'm I'm thinking. I'm going, what do you learn?
- 19:40Speaker 1: Don't take treats from strangers?
- 19:42Speaker 2: But I was like, you know what, effet if this
- 19:43Speaker 2: is the way I go out, take me out with
- 19:45Speaker 2: a treat, a delicious chocolate chip bar, and so I
- 19:49Speaker 2: eat it. My date reveals that information to Miss D
- 19:53Speaker 2: and she's like, oh, yeah, by the way, Scott thinks
- 19:54Speaker 2: you're gonna kill us, and she starts laughing. She doesn't
- 19:57Speaker 2: ever confirm or deny it, and she's like ha ha,
- 19:59Speaker 2: She's like, ah, great, great, great. She's like well that's
- 20:02Speaker 2: when she's like, well, if I wanted to kill you,
- 20:04Speaker 2: I could kill you, like oh, that's again threatening but
- 20:07Speaker 2: also kind of sexy. Six hours go by and she
- 20:11Speaker 2: eventually gets my date's number. They exchange numbers, so now
- 20:15Speaker 2: we have an entire night set up at D's house.
- 20:19Speaker 2: D showing us pictures of her oasis of a backyard.
- 20:22Speaker 2: It's a beautiful hot tub, an amazing bar, a grill,
- 20:26Speaker 2: and she's like, you guys should.
- 20:27Speaker 1: Come over, and again I'm all in for it.
- 20:31Speaker 2: But there's also the side of my brain that's like,
- 20:33Speaker 2: this is where you get taken. You're gonna show up
- 20:35Speaker 2: at the house, you will be killed, and no one
- 20:40Speaker 2: will ever know this happened. But part of me wants
- 20:43Speaker 2: to go on this adventure. Uh huh, because that was
- 20:45Speaker 2: right before I went on the Zoomba cruise. And so
- 20:48Speaker 2: now the next date that I have with my actual
- 20:52Speaker 2: date is if whether or not we hit up D
- 20:55Speaker 2: and go over to our house for a hot tub night, Okay,
- 20:58Speaker 2: to go have a nice little exploration of I think
- 21:01Speaker 2: it's just a friendship, a really cool friendship in the
- 21:03Speaker 2: making of saying yes, but I also feel like I
- 21:06Speaker 2: might die.
- 21:07Speaker 1: Okay, so I don't know what to do.
- 21:09Speaker 3: So what do you do?
- 21:10Speaker 1: I want to go on the adventure.
- 21:11Speaker 3: Oh you, Oh so you didn't go that.
- 21:13Speaker 1: We did not go that night. Oh she ended up.
- 21:15Speaker 1: I mean she was so funny.
- 21:18Speaker 2: She took out she wasn't drinking, but she took out
- 21:20Speaker 2: a pen and started hitting it and so she got
- 21:23Speaker 2: you know, just cloud eleven.
- 21:25Speaker 3: Yeah, and she did it.
- 21:26Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah.
- 21:26Speaker 2: She decided to go on home, and we were sitting there, like,
- 21:30Speaker 2: do we take her up on this opportunity?
- 21:31Speaker 1: Because they exchange numbers.
- 21:33Speaker 2: I saw my date, let's see, yesterday and I found
- 21:37Speaker 2: out that they be officially became Facebook friends. De talked
- 21:41Speaker 2: about us on our Facebook page, and so the invite
- 21:43Speaker 2: is real, Like we can go to her house if
- 21:46Speaker 2: we want. It's just deciding whether or not we should
- 21:50Speaker 2: because it sounds like stranger dangerous. So the pros are
- 21:54Speaker 2: super fun, fierce, awesome woman, that's like part of our friendship.
- 21:58Speaker 3: You want to leave your life, I'm not gonna leave.
- 22:02Speaker 1: No, no, no, no, We're gonna go all together. I'm
- 22:04Speaker 1: not going alone.
- 22:05Speaker 3: The fact that you had the audacity to call this
- 22:07Speaker 3: woman sexy while you're out with another woman, I would have.
- 22:09Speaker 2: I think my date would agree, really absolutely.
- 22:13Speaker 3: So she's watching you get completely swooped in on and
- 22:17Speaker 3: she's she's thinking, yeah, whatever.
- 22:19Speaker 1: Well, I don't think my date's really like worry that
- 22:21Speaker 1: I'm gonna leave her.
- 22:23Speaker 3: The glimmer in your eyes will.
- 22:25Speaker 2: No no, I love And I said this to my
- 22:28Speaker 2: date yesterday. I was like, one of my favorite things
- 22:30Speaker 2: to do is like just gas up an older human,
- 22:35Speaker 2: especially older women, like I love making you feel good,
- 22:38Speaker 2: feel proud, feel excited, and confident. So as soon as
- 22:42Speaker 2: we got to talk into this woman, I was like,
- 22:44Speaker 2: you're a badass, and I want to make sure the
- 22:45Speaker 2: world knows like we everyone I had everyone raise a
- 22:49Speaker 2: glass to her. I went out and danced with her,
- 22:51Speaker 2: And so it makes me feel good to make somebody
- 22:53Speaker 2: else feel good. I'm not saying I'm gonna leave my
- 22:56Speaker 2: date to go be with this woman, okay, but I'm
- 22:59Speaker 2: them thinking like, hmm, should we take her up on
- 23:01Speaker 2: this moment of is this a year of yes kind
- 23:04Speaker 2: of thing where we just say, you.
- 23:05Speaker 1: Know, what f it if I die?
- 23:06Speaker 3: I die? Where's the house.
- 23:07Speaker 1: It's over in the like the Largo area, so it's
- 23:10Speaker 1: over by the coast.
- 23:10Speaker 3: When you say it's a nice house, define nice, I.
- 23:14Speaker 2: Mean it is a beautiful backyard. I wasn't inside. But
- 23:16Speaker 2: she showed us like it's, you know, one of those
- 23:20Speaker 2: trees all around the backyard, a whole section just dedicated
- 23:24Speaker 2: to the hot tub where it has this professionally made
- 23:26Speaker 2: cover that has a retractable roof.
- 23:28Speaker 1: Oh it's fancy as hell.
- 23:30Speaker 3: Do we think D comes from money?
- 23:33Speaker 2: What I know from D is that she worked her
- 23:35Speaker 2: ass off to get money.
- 23:37Speaker 3: So she has money.
- 23:38Speaker 1: She has money.
- 23:39Speaker 2: Okay, I don't think she's trying to sugar mama's mm hmm. Yeah,
- 23:42Speaker 2: I mean that yet, But I also I don't know
- 23:44Speaker 2: if I'm against it.
- 23:45Speaker 3: Tool I mean too, you gotta work your ass off somehow.
- 23:48Speaker 2: But she invited us over, and I'm like, well, do
- 23:50Speaker 2: we go over and have like a whole date night
- 23:52Speaker 2: where it's like I'm on the grill, you know, we're
- 23:54Speaker 2: all hopping in the hot tub together. It's a wild
- 23:57Speaker 2: It's one of those moments where like worlds all collide together,
- 24:01Speaker 2: and do you take them up on that opportunity?
- 24:02Speaker 3: I don't see why not.
- 24:03Speaker 1: I don't either.
- 24:04Speaker 3: Do you think you can take D if you had to?
- 24:07Speaker 3: Or do you think she could actually kill her?
- 24:08Speaker 2: I think she could actually kill me. It was insane
- 24:10Speaker 2: that way. Shea like, this sounds weird if you're just
- 24:12Speaker 2: hearing it. I don't mean it sexually, but the way
- 24:14Speaker 2: she touched me could literally take me out. She literally
- 24:17Speaker 2: put her hand on my neck and was like I
- 24:19Speaker 2: could right there. And she was so quick about it too.
- 24:22Speaker 2: She's like, here's what I would do. She was like, boom,
- 24:24Speaker 2: jab me in the eyes, nee me in the groin,
- 24:26Speaker 2: hit me in the throat. I'm dead.
- 24:28Speaker 3: I'm horrified for you.
- 24:29Speaker 1: Me too.
- 24:30Speaker 2: But also it's kind of exciting. She was teaching us
- 24:33Speaker 2: things that we could do. And she was teaching my date,
- 24:35Speaker 2: you know what, you could do this, this, this, and
- 24:39Speaker 2: you know what to be able to protect protect yourself.
- 24:41Speaker 1: Like she is. I don't know.
- 24:42Speaker 2: I don't know if there's any degree higher in black
- 24:44Speaker 2: belt in karate that she has like she is one
- 24:46Speaker 2: of She's done it for probably longer than I've been alive. Yeah,
- 24:50Speaker 2: so she knows everything. So I think if she wanted to,
- 24:53Speaker 2: she could. I really don't think I could take her,
- 24:55Speaker 2: and I'm pretty strong.
- 24:56Speaker 3: Well, I think you take the adventure.
- 24:58Speaker 1: Just say yes to it.
- 24:59Speaker 3: Although it was isn't this supposed to be your year
- 25:01Speaker 3: of no?
- 25:02Speaker 2: Well, last year was my year of no of just
- 25:04Speaker 2: getting my time back.
- 25:05Speaker 3: So this is your year.
- 25:06Speaker 2: Of maybe, Yeah, this is my year of like, you
- 25:08Speaker 2: know what, If it makes me happy, then I'm gonna
- 25:10Speaker 2: do it.
- 25:10Speaker 3: How does your date feel about it?
- 25:12Speaker 1: I think she's fully in Really.
- 25:13Speaker 3: Yeah, I think then do it for it to make
- 25:15Speaker 3: your date happy.
- 25:16Speaker 1: Well that's true.
- 25:17Speaker 3: If your date seems really excited by the idea, then yeah,
- 25:20Speaker 3: take her out.
- 25:21Speaker 2: I think she's the Thing I love about this date
- 25:23Speaker 2: is it's very spontaneous. Like we've gone into random people's
- 25:27Speaker 2: birthday parties, we've met random people out at the bar,
- 25:30Speaker 2: and now we're getting invited to random people's houses. I
- 25:34Speaker 2: was I'm not always the most spontaneous dude again, because
- 25:37Speaker 2: you see how my brain worked. It's like, you could die,
- 25:41Speaker 2: but this could be a moment where it's one of
- 25:43Speaker 2: the coolest memories of life.
- 25:45Speaker 3: You could die, or you could have a three some.
- 25:47Speaker 2: Would I don't know if we're gonna have a three
- 25:49Speaker 2: some though, that would be I don't think that's gonna happen.
- 25:51Speaker 3: The look in your eye says, even though you don't
- 25:53Speaker 3: know that's gonna happen, you want to have it.
- 25:55Speaker 2: No, I don't. My mind would be I would tell
- 25:58Speaker 2: you on the podcast if that happen and that that.
- 26:00Speaker 1: Would be absolutely your date would be into it. I
- 26:04Speaker 1: don't think so, but I don't know. We've never had
- 26:07Speaker 1: that discussion.
- 26:08Speaker 3: You should ask her have you considered having sex with
- 26:11Speaker 3: D and me?
- 26:12Speaker 1: I don't know. You know, it's the year of maybe.
- 26:16Speaker 3: It's the year of maybe.
- 26:17Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 26:18Speaker 2: If I could, you know, we'll keep you updated with that.
- 26:20Speaker 2: We actually have to go to a meeting. So I
- 26:21Speaker 2: just wanted to give that update on what's going on
- 26:23Speaker 2: with D. Yeah, because I think like the next within
- 26:26Speaker 2: the next week, we are going to make that happen.
- 26:28Speaker 3: You should go this weekend.
- 26:29Speaker 1: Okay, that's a lot of pressure. Okay, next weekend. Thank you.
- 26:32Speaker 2: Give me a little bit of time to process and
- 26:34Speaker 2: talk to my data. If we're gonna have a three
