- 0:00SPEAKER_01: Welcome to the Shit Mom Today podcast.
- 0:02SPEAKER_01: We're two moms, two sisters, with two kids.
- 0:05SPEAKER_01: Full of shit.
- 0:06SPEAKER_01: Absolutely.
- 0:07SPEAKER_01: Let's go.
- 0:08SPEAKER_01: I'm your host, Destiny.
- 0:10SPEAKER_01: This is my co-host LD.
- 0:11SPEAKER_01: What's up?
- 0:13SPEAKER_01: Um we are.
- 0:16SPEAKER_01: This is what?
- 0:16SPEAKER_01: Episode seven?
- 0:17SPEAKER_01: I think so.
- 0:18SPEAKER_01: Happy Halloween! This one's actually been released before Halloween.
- 0:22SPEAKER_01: Um, this is our Halloween special.
- 0:25SPEAKER_02: We were gonna wear costumes, but mine has a mask, and I already don't come through on the microphone that great, so thought might not need to do that.
- 0:33SPEAKER_02: And I'm a possum.
- 0:34SPEAKER_02: And she's a possum.
- 0:35SPEAKER_01: You want to go see how I look in my costume?
- 0:37SPEAKER_01: Go to our Facebook page and we went to a creators club.
- 0:42SPEAKER_01: Yeah, in Winston-Salem.
- 0:44SPEAKER_01: We talked with a bunch of women who are also business owners.
- 0:49SPEAKER_01: Uh, had a really good time, filmed some content, and there should be more to come.
- 0:54SPEAKER_01: That's exclusive content that you can only find on our social medias.
- 0:58SPEAKER_02: Um let's let's talk just a little bit about the club so that way it folks can know, especially if they're in the Winston-Salem area.
- 1:05SPEAKER_02: So Creators Club was something that Kayla from Piedmont Aviation Snack Bar um really just saw a vision for, and man, she is going for it.
- 1:15SPEAKER_02: So she's creating like a whole creators club lounge and everything where she wants to invite like other local, mostly primarily female business owners.
- 1:24SPEAKER_01: Men are welcome too, but it is mostly a women-populated club.
- 1:29SPEAKER_02: Yeah, we're like a total girl gang up in there, you can kind of tell.
- 1:32SPEAKER_01: But um men are welcome.
- 1:34SPEAKER_02: So local businesses to come in, create content because uh anyone who knows Kayla from Pemont Aviation knows that she's like the master of creating content.
- 1:43SPEAKER_02: She creates all kinds of content.
- 1:46SPEAKER_02: And for someone like me in my business, um, I suck at creating content.
- 1:51SPEAKER_02: If you've ever seen my hammer and stain TikTok, you already know that it sucks.
- 1:55SPEAKER_02: So I'm just trying to go learn some lessons from some other, you know, content creators because there's some others in there that have gotten really good at creating content too.
- 2:05SPEAKER_02: And then there's some of us in there like me that's kind of just struggling along.
- 2:08SPEAKER_02: So we we had a lot of good ladies in there.
- 2:12SPEAKER_01: Yeah, we had a it was an it's already such a tight-knit group.
- 2:16SPEAKER_01: Um, I'm not sure, and you might know I'm not sure if we're if she's wanting other mem like other people to come in or if it's kind of set in stone.
- 2:24SPEAKER_01: I think it's like a I think everybody's welcome.
- 2:28SPEAKER_02: If they want to, because obviously I think some people will come in and some people will go out, some people will see it's not a good fit for them, and so on and so forth.
- 2:35SPEAKER_02: I mean, that's not our case.
- 2:36SPEAKER_02: We hope that we get to kind of ride this train for Yeah, we hope that because we loved it.
- 2:41SPEAKER_01: We had a really good time, and I really liked the group of ladies.
- 2:44SPEAKER_02: Even though we're introverts, I feel like we had a really really, really good time.
- 2:50SPEAKER_02: Laura Mercy.
- 2:51SPEAKER_02: It Kayla made it feel like really just natural creating content, which is something that I've always had an issue with, is just putting my face out there for my business.
- 2:59SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 3:00SPEAKER_02: Which is weird that I'm doing this, but like it's different to come on here and like talk shit versus to like well, and we're not necessarily talking shit.
- 3:08SPEAKER_01: That's calm down.
- 3:09SPEAKER_01: We're not talking shit.
- 3:11SPEAKER_02: But I mean it's different to come on here and like talk life versus trying to make my business relevant in content, if that makes sense.
- 3:18SPEAKER_01: Um, yeah, I can definitely see that because when but she also mentioned that your face is your business, especially when you are making content, because but she I mean we will tag Piedmont Aviation.
- 3:33SPEAKER_01: I will tag them in the description in the YouTube channel, and for our audio listeners, it will be on our socials.
- 3:40SPEAKER_01: Um, in that big post that we did make um about them.
- 3:45SPEAKER_01: They're all all them ladies are tagged, but you are your brand.
- 3:49SPEAKER_02: But if you have not been to Piedmont Aviation, if you're in the area, please go see her.
- 3:54SPEAKER_02: Uh Kayla is a is a great woman.
- 3:56SPEAKER_02: She tries to do a lot for her community, not just her local business owners.
- 4:00SPEAKER_02: Like she tries to help out in any she tries to use her platform in any way possible to uh benefit her community.
- 4:07SPEAKER_02: So she may have a really good following and but she's worked hard for it and she tries to use it for the better of her community, which I think says a lot about her.
- 4:15SPEAKER_02: She gets a lot of hate for that fried bologna sandwich, but I'll tell you right now, I will eat that mess up.
- 4:21SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I personally haven't had it, which I'm not a huge bolt.
- 4:24SPEAKER_01: Now, listen, I'm not a huge bologna person.
- 4:26SPEAKER_01: If I am, I do like the thin, but hers are like thick.
- 4:31SPEAKER_02: It's not that thick, but it's pretty thick.
- 4:32SPEAKER_02: But it is like it's like that thick.
- 4:34SPEAKER_02: It's like it's pretty thick, but it is so freaking good.
- 4:38SPEAKER_02: And it looks burnt, but listen.
- 4:41SPEAKER_02: But the inside is not burnt, so the inside is burnt.
- 4:44SPEAKER_02: And I'm gonna tell you right now, it's like the outside of my baloney is not burnt, then I don't freaking want it.
- 4:50SPEAKER_02: So it's perfect.
- 4:51SPEAKER_02: She's got this one sandwich.
- 4:53SPEAKER_02: Stop it.
- 4:55SPEAKER_02: She's got this one sandwich that um it's like two grilled cheeses, and then that fried baloney is stuck in between.
- 5:02SPEAKER_02: What is it called?
- 5:04SPEAKER_02: I don't know, but it's off the big back menus, all I know.
- 5:07SPEAKER_02: And I'd be feeling big back when I eat it, but I love it.
- 5:10SPEAKER_01: Yeah, it's really and it has like slaw and chili and stuff.
- 5:13SPEAKER_01: Obviously, you can put like that on top of it.
- 5:18SPEAKER_01: Is that what you get?
- 5:19unknown: Yeah.
- 5:20SPEAKER_02: Oh yes, girl.
- 5:21SPEAKER_01: It's called like it's not the dump truck, is it?
- 5:23SPEAKER_02: No.
- 5:24SPEAKER_02: No, the dump truck, I think, is what my husband gets, which is the buffalo chicken stuck in between the two grilled cheeses.
- 5:31SPEAKER_02: And that that's pretty ballin' too.
- 5:34SPEAKER_01: And her load of fries look really good.
- 5:35SPEAKER_01: Anyways, go check her out.
- 5:36SPEAKER_01: Uh go check all those fantastic ladies that we tagged in that um reel out anyway.
- 5:43SPEAKER_01: They were all really amazing and really fun to get to know, and I really hope that it does blossom and we all grow pretty good.
- 5:48SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 5:49SPEAKER_02: But uh we'll move on to our topic of today, which is supposed to be all things spooky, which uh is another lady that was in our Yeah.
- 5:58SPEAKER_01: Um her name, she goes by Yaya.
- 6:00SPEAKER_01: She was she uh um she's like a what intuitive reader.
- 6:05SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 6:06SPEAKER_01: And like she does readings and stuff on people we both got read, and it was it was a really good experience.
- 6:12SPEAKER_02: And if you tuned into our last podcast, you will see that I told my sister that the reason all this creepy shit happens to her is because she welcomes and invites this stuff into her life, and that was confirmed by y'all y'all.
- 6:25SPEAKER_02: Wasn't it?
- 6:26SPEAKER_01: God forbid a girl got a hobby.
- 6:29SPEAKER_01: God forbid a girl like a little spooky.
- 6:31SPEAKER_02: So my sister sits down and she my sister sits down and she automatically, like, the first thing that said to her is like, You got something attached to you.
- 6:42SPEAKER_02: Perfect.
- 6:43SPEAKER_01: And we're like, I can't catch a break.
- 6:44SPEAKER_01: Start paying rent.
- 6:45SPEAKER_01: And we're like, oh.
- 6:46SPEAKER_01: You attached, you ain't paying rent.
- 6:48SPEAKER_02: And I was like, I freaking told you.
- 6:50SPEAKER_02: I told you.
- 6:52SPEAKER_02: She's like, Yeah, you have this just spirit about you that just that just brought it, you you brought something in.
- 6:57SPEAKER_02: And I'm like, welcomed it in, and I'm like, dude.
- 7:01SPEAKER_02: You're kidding.
- 7:03SPEAKER_02: Told ya.
- 7:05SPEAKER_02: And then I sit down and it's all like rainbows and butterflies.
- 7:08SPEAKER_01: It's all like cupcakes and rainbows and bullshit.
- 7:11SPEAKER_01: And I'm like, and this was like, girl, you gotta get rid of this.
- 7:14SPEAKER_01: I'm like, yo.
- 7:15SPEAKER_02: Yeah, she's like, you gotta get you some like holy water or something else.
- 7:19SPEAKER_01: It was Florida water.
- 7:20SPEAKER_01: Florida water.
- 7:20SPEAKER_02: And I'm like, she's like, You gotta you gotta cleanse that shit.
- 7:23SPEAKER_02: And I'm like, She's like, you need to cleanse your house, and then you need to tell them you can't have nothing to do with me.
- 7:28SPEAKER_02: And I'm like, oh my god.
- 7:30SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 7:31SPEAKER_02: So that was her experience.
- 7:34SPEAKER_01: Um, but she's really, she's really great, and she's really good at reading people, and she's just overall like her, like aura is really nice.
- 7:41SPEAKER_02: Yeah, like I've been watching her on TikTok and stuff, and like she's just a whole freaking vibe, man.
- 7:47SPEAKER_01: Well, not just that, we we have a group chat, and she's just like she's all about hyping people up.
- 7:53SPEAKER_02: Yeah, she's a total hype girl.
- 7:54SPEAKER_01: And it's just really it's really good to see in a world full of freaking haters.
- 7:59SPEAKER_01: A world full of freaking haters.
- 8:01SPEAKER_01: It's really good to see some light, especially when it is like women bringing each other up.
- 8:06SPEAKER_01: I really just think that's fantastic.
- 8:08SPEAKER_01: And I feel like we've lost the plot about that in the past couple years.
- 8:11SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I think so too.
- 8:12SPEAKER_02: I think women are very quick to uh tear down other women.
- 8:17SPEAKER_01: I think people I think people in general don't.
- 8:19SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I think so too.
- 8:20SPEAKER_01: I think that we've especially on social media, I think we've gotten way too comfortable with bullying people.
- 8:26SPEAKER_01: Which bullying's bad.
- 8:29SPEAKER_01: But if it's the truth.
- 8:31SPEAKER_02: Well, I think you got too many keyboard warriors out there, and I think that's the problem.
- 8:35SPEAKER_02: That's the problem.
- 8:36SPEAKER_02: Is people get behind a screen and they think that they're all big and bad and then they grow some balls.
- 8:41SPEAKER_02: And then they wouldn't dare say any of that stuff to somebody's face in public.
- 8:44SPEAKER_02: No.
- 8:45SPEAKER_02: I'm gonna tell you right now, there ain't nothing that I tell you on the internet that I wouldn't say to your face and back up straight to your face.
- 8:51SPEAKER_02: And if you can't say the same, then maybe you shouldn't be typing that shit on the internet.
- 8:57SPEAKER_02: Heard.
- 8:58SPEAKER_02: Yep.
- 8:59SPEAKER_02: Period.
- 8:59SPEAKER_02: Whether it's to a business or to a person, if you can't say it to their face, if you can't address that business situation with that business owner at the time that it's happening so they can try to make it right then, don't go bitching and complaining online about it later.
- 9:13SPEAKER_02: If you didn't give them the opportunity to make it right, don't go bitching and complaining later.
- 9:17SPEAKER_02: And if you got a problem with somebody's opinion on social media and you can't go to them directly and and voice your opinion face to face, you'd rather talk and bully them and belittle them through the internet and you can't say it, you would not go say it to their face because you'd be scared to, then maybe you shouldn't say it online either.
- 9:35SPEAKER_02: That's my TED talk for the day.
- 9:37SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 9:38SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I think that we've just gotten way too comfortable with being just straight up mean to people for no reason.
- 9:44SPEAKER_02: Yeah, you for people forget that like we all have a life.
- 9:47SPEAKER_01: Like yeah, especially these people with like the big followings and stuff, like it it's just so like they are still people.
- 9:57SPEAKER_01: Like, yes, they get thousands and thousands of likes and millions of views, but these are still people.
- 10:02SPEAKER_01: Like, we unfortunately don't get a ton of likes or a ton of views, and we're so grateful for those who do view, but you know, we're still people at the end of the day, and I don't think that'll ever change no matter how big we grow and how big we don't grow.
- 10:15SPEAKER_02: Yeah, all content creators, no matter or business owners, they're just people.
- 10:20SPEAKER_02: They're people with opinions, they're entitled to those opinions, and they're people with families, they're people who are trying to make an income for those families.
- 10:28SPEAKER_02: Like, why would you try to take somebody's livelihood away from them?
- 10:32SPEAKER_02: Is my thing.
- 10:33SPEAKER_01: Yeah, um, yeah.
- 10:35SPEAKER_01: Especially because uh speaking of Piedmont Aviation, they get a lot, she gets a lot of hate.
- 10:40SPEAKER_01: She does.
- 10:41SPEAKER_01: And because I mean, it is just insane uh the amount of hate that she gets from.
- 10:46SPEAKER_02: And a lot of it ain't even relative about relevant about her business.
- 10:49SPEAKER_02: It's no like about her, like about how she dresses or what she does.
- 10:53SPEAKER_01: And I'm like she's and keep in mind she's really pretty.
- 10:56SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 10:57SPEAKER_01: And people are like, oh, well, you know, this, this, this girl.
- 11:01SPEAKER_02: What's your and if it's coming from the females, let me just tell you.
- 11:04SPEAKER_01: Well, not even that.
- 11:05SPEAKER_01: It's mo and you know what?
- 11:06SPEAKER_01: It's mostly overweight, bald men.
- 11:08SPEAKER_01: I'm like, yo.
- 11:09SPEAKER_02: But I'm saying if it is coming from females, that's just a sim that's just a sign of jealousy right there.
- 11:13SPEAKER_02: I'll just tell you that.
- 11:14SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 11:14SPEAKER_02: I mean it If you're comfortable with yourself, then you ain't got you ain't gonna be on there tearing down a beautiful woman.
- 11:20SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 11:21SPEAKER_01: With some good looking food.
- 11:22SPEAKER_01: Right?
- 11:23SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 11:23SPEAKER_01: It'd be different.
- 11:24SPEAKER_01: And I mean, it's just I just think that'd be different if it was a damn hunchback on there.
- 11:29SPEAKER_01: And you go and be like I don't think that we need to make fun of people in general.
- 11:34SPEAKER_01: We're sitting here preaching about but it's not nice to make fun of people.
- 11:37SPEAKER_01: But still I don't think, yeah, I just think that it's very normalized to just be mean on the internet.
- 11:43SPEAKER_02: It is.
- 11:44SPEAKER_01: And I think that really, I obviously there's always been like cyberbullying and stuff, but I really think that it peaked after 2020.
- 11:52SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I think once everybody was at home and all they had to do pretty much was argue on the internet.
- 12:03SPEAKER_01: And I mean we talk shit on the internet, but we do it for entertainment.
- 12:06SPEAKER_01: And it's not even really shit, it's just true shit.
- 12:09SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I mean, I'm not and again, I'm not gonna say anything on here or on social media in general that I wouldn't say to somebody's face.
- 12:17SPEAKER_00: Period.
- 12:19SPEAKER_02: I don't even back up everything I say, and my husband worries about it a lot because I do talk a lot of crap sometimes, and he's like, LaDonna don't wanna have to be the one that backs you up.
- 12:30SPEAKER_01: Oh my gosh, I reposted something on TikTok, and it's like whenever you say that your husband, like my husband could whoop your ass, and it was well, that one brother bear scene.
- 12:40SPEAKER_01: I don't I know you probably don't know what I'm talking about, but where like the big bear is like and the little bear is just sitting there smiling, that is my life in a nutshell because I'll be like, he could whoop he can whoop your ass, and then why it's like right me?
- 12:55SPEAKER_02: Right.
- 12:55SPEAKER_02: Like if I mouth off to some man at some hockey game.
- 12:58SPEAKER_01: I don't know, that's like I've never done.
- 13:03SPEAKER_01: Oh.
- 13:03SPEAKER_01: And you know they're crazy.
- 13:05SPEAKER_01: One thing, what thing, I mean, going to Pittsburgh.
- 13:10SPEAKER_01: Shit.
- 13:11SPEAKER_01: Shit.
- 13:13SPEAKER_01: Shit.
- 13:14SPEAKER_01: Matter of fact, matter of fact, I'm gonna put a picture of Derek up on the screen.
- 13:19SPEAKER_01: He looks I didn't say he was ugly.
- 13:22SPEAKER_01: I'm just saying he doesn't look very intimidating.
- 13:25SPEAKER_01: He does look intimidating.
- 13:29SPEAKER_02: Uh my man looks intimidating.
- 13:31SPEAKER_02: Mine don't.
- 13:32SPEAKER_01: Yours don't.
- 13:33SPEAKER_01: Mine don't.
- 13:36SPEAKER_01: Mine does not.
- 13:37SPEAKER_01: He just he just big.
- 13:39SPEAKER_02: And he is not he is not giving off the I'm gonna beat your butt vibes.
- 13:45SPEAKER_02: Shit, no.
- 13:46SPEAKER_01: But I'm also not very intimidated by him.
- 13:48SPEAKER_01: I don't feel like you should be with somebody that you're intimidated by.
- 13:50SPEAKER_01: That's a whole other thing.
- 13:51SPEAKER_02: I'm not intimidated by Derek.
- 13:53SPEAKER_02: He knows that.
- 13:54SPEAKER_02: God, who is intimidated by Derek?
- 13:56SPEAKER_02: Um all the other guys who don't know that he's this little softy.
- 14:02SPEAKER_01: He's such a nice man.
- 14:05SPEAKER_01: We gotta we gotta walk in.
- 14:07SPEAKER_01: We gotta walk in.
- 14:08SPEAKER_01: Let's talk about Spooky.
- 14:10SPEAKER_01: So we unfortunately didn't have anybody.
- 14:13SPEAKER_01: Nobody.
- 14:14unknown: What?
- 14:15SPEAKER_01: Y'all left us up in the WTF.
- 14:17SPEAKER_01: Y'all left us hanging.
- 14:19SPEAKER_01: But that's fine because we we do have a couple stories or a story from Steve Collins, which is her dad.
- 14:28SPEAKER_02: So y'all left us hanging so bad that I had to recruit my father.
- 14:33SPEAKER_02: And he don't know how to use a phone.
- 14:35SPEAKER_02: To tell me stories.
- 14:37SPEAKER_01: And if anybody knows what my this is the first I'm hearing about.
- 14:42SPEAKER_02: If anybody knows my dad, my dad's a bullshitter.
- 14:46SPEAKER_02: So bad.
- 14:47SPEAKER_02: You might need to fact check some of this because my dad bullshits, okay?
- 14:51SPEAKER_02: Or don't.
- 14:52SPEAKER_02: Or don't believe it all.
- 14:53SPEAKER_02: Who cares?
- 14:54SPEAKER_02: Um, because some of it may I already know part of it is true.
- 14:58SPEAKER_02: I just can't confirm that a hundred percent of it is true.
- 15:01SPEAKER_01: Keep in mind, this is I'm also blind reacting to this story.
- 15:04SPEAKER_02: I I don't know about it.
- 15:06SPEAKER_02: So I say, send me your scary ghost story shit that you and you've encountered over the years.
- 15:13SPEAKER_02: Be detailed.
- 15:13SPEAKER_02: It's for something I'm doing online.
- 15:16SPEAKER_02: He said, Oh my god.
- 15:19SPEAKER_02: I said, I know you have some.
- 15:21SPEAKER_02: So all I get is a Google screenshot for the first one.
- 15:26SPEAKER_02: And so I have to like zoom into this Google screenshot, and it says, I had a dream of an old witch woman coming from the ceiling above my bed and getting on top of me.
- 15:41SPEAKER_02: Getting on my chest, and I couldn't breathe.
- 15:44SPEAKER_02: What does this mean?
- 15:45SPEAKER_02: And so in the AI overview that I'm having to read from the screenshot, that he didn't even screenshot on his phone, he's apparently Googled this on his like la or work screen and then sent me like a picture of it.
- 15:58SPEAKER_02: So this is not even a screenshot, this is a picture of a screen.
- 16:03SPEAKER_02: Yes, so bear with me.
- 16:05SPEAKER_02: AI overview says what you have experienced is incredibly common, terrifying phenomenon known historically as the night hag or the old hag attack, which is the classic psychological and physical manifestation of sleep paralysis.
- 16:25SPEAKER_02: So then, boom, debunked.
- 16:27SPEAKER_02: While it feels intensely real and spiritual while it's happening, there is a very clear physiological explanation for why your mind built this specific scenario.
- 16:40SPEAKER_02: So there's apparently a lot of rapid eye movement that happens, sleep paralysis or whatever.
- 16:47SPEAKER_02: And I said, So are you telling me that you had a dream of a witch coming from a ceiling?
- 16:52SPEAKER_02: He says, Yes.
- 16:54SPEAKER_02: It appears it was the night hag.
- 16:56SPEAKER_02: I said, Well, that's not a lot of detail.
- 16:58SPEAKER_02: Did she like come at you?
- 17:00SPEAKER_02: Did she say something?
- 17:03SPEAKER_02: He said, No.
- 17:04SPEAKER_02: She came from the ceiling, hovered over me, got on my chest, and I couldn't get her off and try to talk and scream, but I couldn't breathe.
- 17:12SPEAKER_01: That you know what that sounds like?
- 17:13SPEAKER_01: Sleep paralysis.
- 17:15SPEAKER_02: So that's what I got for there.
- 17:16SPEAKER_02: Oh, but wait, there's more stories.
- 17:19SPEAKER_01: Oh, okay.
- 17:20SPEAKER_01: So I I did kind of know about the night high one, nothing crazy, but so this is one that I'm going and complaining about.
- 17:26SPEAKER_02: And see, my dad used to terrorize me all the time with these ghost stories, especially when like my aunts and uncles would come and spend the night.
- 17:32SPEAKER_02: They would like share a bunch of ghost stories.
- 17:34SPEAKER_02: So, like as a kid, I got traumatized a lot with ghost stories.
- 17:37SPEAKER_02: I'm expecting him to come back with like some of the good juicy ones, right?
- 17:40SPEAKER_02: These are kind of lame in comparison to what I grew up with.
- 17:43SPEAKER_02: Unfortunately, I can't remember all those details because that's been forever ago.
- 17:46SPEAKER_02: But here's the next one.
- 17:48SPEAKER_02: He says, Papa was walking home one night, papa was his dad, my papa, one night on an old dirt road.
- 17:56SPEAKER_02: He heard what sounded like a horse running.
- 17:59SPEAKER_02: He looked up the road and in the dark he could see what appeared to be the bright glow of a cigar.
- 18:05SPEAKER_02: As I as he keeps getting closer, he could hear chains dragging.
- 18:09SPEAKER_02: It kept getting closer and closer to the point he had to step back into the ditch on the side of the road, and he could hear the hooves of the horse and the chains dragging, and the only thing he could see as it pa as it passed was the glow of a cigar until the glow and the sound of the horse just faded away into the darkness.
- 18:27SPEAKER_01: You know what that sounds like?
- 18:28SPEAKER_01: A bunch of bullshit.
- 18:30SPEAKER_01: Matter of fact, that sounds like a bunch of bullshit.
- 18:33SPEAKER_01: He's been haunted by White Earl.
- 18:36SPEAKER_01: No, that's a bunch of bullshit.
- 18:39SPEAKER_01: Fake, debunked, wrong.
- 18:42SPEAKER_02: Next up, he says, I told him that.
- 18:47SPEAKER_02: I said, these are the types of story I need from a podcast tomorrow.
- 18:50SPEAKER_02: He's like, Yeah, you can spice up the night, the night hag.
- 18:53SPEAKER_02: I was like, there's no way to spice that.
- 18:55SPEAKER_02: Oh.
- 18:57SPEAKER_02: She had a broom too.
- 19:00SPEAKER_02: She had a wart on her chin.
- 19:01SPEAKER_02: I don't know.
- 19:03SPEAKER_02: But he said, Next one.
- 19:05SPEAKER_02: This is what y'all have to deal with when you don't send us stories, right?
- 19:09SPEAKER_02: What?
- 19:09SPEAKER_02: You have to listen to my dad.
- 19:10SPEAKER_01: Steve Collins, which is scary.
- 19:11SPEAKER_01: You have to listen to my dad's bullshit.
- 19:14SPEAKER_02: Your papa was sitting on the porch one night smoking a cigarette, just relaxing, and then suddenly he hears this scream and it stuns him.
- 19:21SPEAKER_02: So he starts looking around and he hears it again, and it sounds like it's coming from across the holler where he has one of his tobacco barns.
- 19:28SPEAKER_02: Jesus Christ.
- 19:30SPEAKER_02: He jumps in his truck to go see what it is.
- 19:33SPEAKER_02: As he is driving down the old loggin road to the barn, two men show up in his headlights walking towards him.
- 19:40SPEAKER_02: He does not know them, and as they get close to the truck, they just vanished out of the path and into the woods into the darkness.
- 19:48SPEAKER_02: He is puzzled about what just happened.
- 19:50SPEAKER_02: Then he continues to the barn, and once he arrives, he finds signs of nothing.
- 19:55SPEAKER_02: As the days go by, it weighs on his mind.
- 19:58SPEAKER_02: Then a report comes out about a missing woman named Margaret Hurley, missing as they search for her.
- 20:04SPEAKER_02: All they find is strands of her hair and decade flesh under logs and leaves where someone kept moving her body not to be found.
- 20:12SPEAKER_02: He would sit on the porch and on rare occasions.
- 20:15SPEAKER_02: He could still hear her scream, and each night he heard the scream, it was always in a different place, as it seems she would scream each time they moved her body, and until this day she has never been found.
- 20:26SPEAKER_02: But if you sit and listen on that night, you can still hear her scream.
- 20:33SPEAKER_02: Oh god, bullshit on that one too.
- 20:35SPEAKER_01: Boo sh.
- 20:38SPEAKER_01: And we're gonna fact check after this.
- 20:40SPEAKER_01: We're gonna fact check.
- 20:41SPEAKER_01: I'm not.
- 20:42SPEAKER_01: And I am, because that's a bunch of boo shit.
- 20:44SPEAKER_01: It sounds like a matter of fact, you know what?
- 20:46SPEAKER_01: It sounds like a bunch of AI boo shit.
- 20:49SPEAKER_02: Well, you know, I would assume that was the case if my dad knew how to use AI.
- 20:54SPEAKER_01: But that's still, you know what, that sounds like a a bunch of boo shit.
- 20:58SPEAKER_01: Next.
- 20:59SPEAKER_01: Is that it?
- 21:00SPEAKER_01: That's all I got.
- 21:02SPEAKER_01: This is terrible.
- 21:04SPEAKER_02: Do you want to read the one from From our aunt?
- 21:08SPEAKER_01: I don't have my phone.
- 21:10SPEAKER_01: Oh gosh.
- 21:11SPEAKER_02: Let me let me see if I can pull that one up.
- 21:14SPEAKER_01: It was on my Facebook.
- 21:16SPEAKER_02: Oh, it was on your Facebook.
- 21:20SPEAKER_02: See, this is what you this is what you get.
- 21:23SPEAKER_02: We asked for comment.
- 21:29SPEAKER_02: So now we just have to feed you RBS.
- 21:31SPEAKER_01: I had it pinned until I didn't.
- 21:33SPEAKER_01: I literally unpinned it today.
- 21:37SPEAKER_01: So keep going, keep going.
- 21:40SPEAKER_02: All right.
- 21:42SPEAKER_02: Tammy from West Virginia says I used to live in a house in Raleigh County in a town called Josephine.
- 21:50SPEAKER_02: The house I lived in was haunted.
- 21:52SPEAKER_02: I was laying on the bed with my two daughters, talking to my oldest and getting the baby asleep, and all of a sudden something got on top of me and tried to take my breath.
- 22:00SPEAKER_02: The way that house that's the freaking night hag.
- 22:04SPEAKER_01: No shit.
- 22:05SPEAKER_01: Maybe it wasn't a bunch of boo shit.
- 22:07SPEAKER_01: Maybe he was right.
- 22:08SPEAKER_01: She had the old hag.
- 22:11SPEAKER_01: Night hag.
- 22:14SPEAKER_01: Well.
- 22:16SPEAKER_02: Holy shit.
- 22:17SPEAKER_02: Maybe my dad wasn't so full of crap from the first one.
- 22:20SPEAKER_01: Maybe that wasn't a bunch of boo shit.
- 22:23SPEAKER_01: Um, yeah.
- 22:24SPEAKER_01: And there concludes our scary story segment.
- 22:27SPEAKER_01: Um you don't have any more from your personal experience?
- 22:30SPEAKER_01: Probably.
- 22:31SPEAKER_01: Ooh.
- 22:32SPEAKER_01: Yeah, of course I do.
- 22:34SPEAKER_01: Because there there's something attached to me.
- 22:36SPEAKER_01: Yep.
- 22:37SPEAKER_01: Confirmed.
- 22:41SPEAKER_01: Anyway, um, well, I mean, I guess the my dad's house was really just, I mean, not anything in like grave detail.
- 22:52SPEAKER_01: Like nothing crazy besides like people talking, people not being there, and stuff like that.
- 22:58unknown: About it.
- 22:59SPEAKER_02: I don't want you to tell me anything about my house.
- 23:01SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 23:02SPEAKER_01: Okay, don't you?
- 23:03SPEAKER_02: Because I think it's a you thing.
- 23:05SPEAKER_01: Ooh! Matter of fact, this one isn't from my house.
- 23:09SPEAKER_01: This is from Wyatt's parents' house that I experienced.
- 23:13SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 23:13SPEAKER_01: I totally forgot.
- 23:14SPEAKER_01: So whenever me and my man like first started dating or whatever, no, this I mean we were about a year in.
- 23:20SPEAKER_01: And he his parents' basement, this he was he was a youngin'.
- 23:27SPEAKER_01: Uh his parents' basement, it was like finished, but not I don't know.
- 23:32SPEAKER_01: Like concrete floors, but washer and dryer was down there.
- 23:37SPEAKER_01: Like a basement, but yeah, like a basement.
- 23:40SPEAKER_01: I don't have a basement.
- 23:41SPEAKER_01: I have a crawl space.
- 23:42SPEAKER_01: Like a basement, yeah.
- 23:43SPEAKER_02: I have a crawl space as well, but yes, that's just standard basement.
- 23:46SPEAKER_02: Okay, perfect.
- 23:46SPEAKER_02: Unless it's like one of those houses built in like the 50s that look like a dungeon down there.
- 23:51SPEAKER_02: Has like cavern walls.
- 23:54SPEAKER_01: Yeah, no, I don't think so.
- 23:56SPEAKER_01: Um, but anyways, he had his room in the basement and which was just his bed and TV.
- 24:04SPEAKER_01: Um and for one, they live up in the mountains of Virginia.
- 24:13SPEAKER_01: Scary enough.
- 24:15SPEAKER_01: But um Keep going.
- 24:19SPEAKER_01: Um, anyway, so we were laying there and the only light that was on was the TV and then the um like the washroom dryer were off to the side and it had like one light.
- 24:33SPEAKER_01: And we were sitting there just talking, and then I see something.
- 24:37SPEAKER_01: I see somebody standing there, and I'm like, why there's somebody standing right there?
- 24:40SPEAKER_01: He's like, don't say that shit, that's scary.
- 24:43SPEAKER_01: And I'm like, no, dude, I swear to God, I see something standing there.
- 24:45SPEAKER_01: And he had a hat on, and hey, that's the hat man, like the guy that you see when you take too much Benadryl.
- 24:51SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 24:52SPEAKER_01: Nope.
- 24:53unknown: Okay.
- 24:53SPEAKER_01: Mm-mm.
- 24:54SPEAKER_01: Everybody, there's somebody out there who knows about the hat man.
- 24:58SPEAKER_01: Is there?
- 24:59SPEAKER_01: Yes, it's a very it's like the old night hag witch thing.
- 25:02SPEAKER_01: It's a very common occurrence whenever you take too much Benadryl.
- 25:07SPEAKER_01: You've never took in like two Benadryl and like seen the hat.
- 25:12SPEAKER_01: Dude, I'm telling you.
- 25:13SPEAKER_01: People see the hat man all the time.
- 25:15SPEAKER_01: Um, and like I he had like a hat on and it was a whole thing, and it was really scary.
- 25:21SPEAKER_01: That concludes the story.
- 25:23SPEAKER_01: It was just really scary.
- 25:27SPEAKER_02: So I'm trying to look online to see if there's some others.
- 25:30SPEAKER_02: Um Nope.
- 25:34SPEAKER_02: I mean, there's like some obviously, so Winston Salem, which is close to where we are, um, has a lot of like history here.
- 25:42SPEAKER_02: So like it does say like famous haunted sites and legends.
- 25:46SPEAKER_02: So the little red man at the single brother's house.
- 25:49SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 25:50SPEAKER_01: Oh, yes.
- 25:51SPEAKER_01: I heard about him whenever we took a trip.
- 25:54SPEAKER_01: I think it was either a middle school or elementary school to Old Salem.
- 25:58SPEAKER_02: Yeah, maybe.
- 25:59SPEAKER_02: I was just moving this back from my face.
- 26:01SPEAKER_01: Um, yeah, yeah, I heard about that.
- 26:03SPEAKER_02: It says the city's most famous spirit belongs to Andreas Cremser, a shoemaker who lives Andreas.
- 26:11SPEAKER_02: Oh, could be Andreas.
- 26:13SPEAKER_02: Andreas.
- 26:14SPEAKER_02: It's crazy.
- 26:16SPEAKER_02: Really?
- 26:17SPEAKER_02: says somebody who couldn't pronounce like every word a couple weeks ago.
- 26:21SPEAKER_02: Anyway, who lived in the 1769 Single Brothers house on March 25th, 1786, Crimson was killed when a bank of loose earth collapsed on him while he was helping excavate a cellar.
- 26:35SPEAKER_02: He'd been wearing a red cap and jacket.
- 26:37SPEAKER_01: Yes, I remember hearing about that whenever we went into Old Salem.
- 26:41SPEAKER_02: So apparently they hear rhythmic tapping of a shoemaker's hammer and catching glimpses of a small figure in red.
- 26:49SPEAKER_01: How freaking tall was he?
- 26:51SPEAKER_01: Two foot?
- 26:52SPEAKER_01: What are you talking about, little red man?
- 26:55SPEAKER_01: What in the heck?
- 26:56SPEAKER_01: And I feel like there's another one from Old Salem, but I forgot.
- 26:59SPEAKER_02: Here's another one.
- 27:00SPEAKER_02: The unidentified stranger from Salem Salem Tavern.
- 27:04SPEAKER_02: I don't know that shit.
- 27:05SPEAKER_02: A sick stranger dressed in black arrived to the tavern on a cold night, slipped into a coma, and died without ever even giving his name.
- 27:13SPEAKER_01: Yeah, it also sounds like a bunch of boo shit.
- 27:16SPEAKER_02: Unexplained, icy drafts, weird noises, and shattery apparition began appearing to the tavern keepers.
- 27:22SPEAKER_02: Sally at the historic Brookstown Inn.
- 27:26SPEAKER_01: I feel like that's such a freaking Can we can we can we get a little bit more like crazy and unique with these little ghost girl names?
- 27:34SPEAKER_01: I'm tired of hearing like seeing someone's attacking you.
- 27:41SPEAKER_01: Um I'm just so over the whole like Sally and stuff like that.
- 27:48SPEAKER_01: You know, like I feel like it's all the time.
- 27:52SPEAKER_01: Like Sally and everything, what is going on?
- 27:56SPEAKER_01: We probably should have had this pulled up already.
- 27:59SPEAKER_02: Well, that's why I'm doing it while you're rambling on.
- 28:01SPEAKER_01: Well, I'm done rambling.
- 28:02SPEAKER_01: About Sally.
- 28:03SPEAKER_01: So it's s but I'm so sick of like the Sally and the and the Bethany and all these other freaking common names.
- 28:13SPEAKER_01: I seen somebody who named their kid Goose the other day.
- 28:18SPEAKER_01: Like honk goose.
- 28:20SPEAKER_01: I think you mentioned that last week.
- 28:22SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 28:23SPEAKER_01: And I just I just goose.
- 28:28SPEAKER_01: No, I think that was a personal conversation that we had.
- 28:31SPEAKER_01: Maybe.
- 28:32SPEAKER_01: Anyways, somebody named their kid Goose.
- 28:34SPEAKER_01: Can you walk in, fam?
- 28:35SPEAKER_01: I'm trying to.
- 28:37SPEAKER_01: Anyways.
- 28:38SPEAKER_01: Um The Springhouse restaurant.
- 28:43SPEAKER_02: Apparently, during renovations and ongoing operations, workers and visitors have reported heavy footsteps in empty rooms, flickering lights, slamming doors, and a shadowy figure suspected to be the original owner, Mr.
- 28:57SPEAKER_02: Bonson.
- 28:58SPEAKER_01: I'm literally sitting here falling asleep.
- 29:01SPEAKER_01: It's like Derek's dad jokes.
- 29:03SPEAKER_01: I I really am.
- 29:04SPEAKER_01: That's where I'm going at with us all.
- 29:06SPEAKER_01: Rhythmic tapping and cold drafts and occasionally.
- 29:11SPEAKER_01: Occasionally you'll heal a soft growl and a get out.
- 29:16SPEAKER_01: We'll go figure.
- 29:18SPEAKER_01: Like, can we and Sally's running brrr.
- 29:21SPEAKER_02: I mean, it for the most part, Jersey mics rolling down the hallway sounds more scary than most of these stories.
- 29:28SPEAKER_01: But um I don't really know any other ones.
- 29:32SPEAKER_02: I mean, I can't top the Pazusu.
- 29:34SPEAKER_02: I don't know any other ones like that.
- 29:35SPEAKER_01: Dude, and that to this day, that was I told why about that.
- 29:38SPEAKER_01: He goes, dude, Well, I'm like, that's what I'm saying.
- 29:42SPEAKER_01: He's like, that's that was a crazy pull.
- 29:44SPEAKER_01: And I'm like, dude, like when and I wanna I'm gonna see if I can add a clip in our YouTube video of my face whenever I seen, like whenever you brought that up, because I rewatched it whenever I was editing, and that was so freaking funny.
- 30:02SPEAKER_01: Like that was a crazy W pull.
- 30:05SPEAKER_02: I mean, that's that's all I could think of at the time.
- 30:08SPEAKER_01: I mean, it's kind of creepy.
- 30:10SPEAKER_01: That's that's still crazy to this day.
- 30:13SPEAKER_01: That's crazy.
- 30:14SPEAKER_01: Um, now I don't really know anything haunted.
- 30:17SPEAKER_01: Um, we live in the well, mom technically lives in the Appalachian Mountains, right?
- 30:22SPEAKER_01: Yeah, because we're right there on the foothills.
- 30:24SPEAKER_01: We're at the foothills, yeah.
- 30:25SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 30:26SPEAKER_01: And so there's all types of scary like Appalachian stories and stuff like that.
- 30:31SPEAKER_01: There is a girl I follow on TikTok, her name's Savannah.
- 30:35SPEAKER_01: Not my friend.
- 30:36SPEAKER_01: Um, but she talks, it's her like series is called Tea After Midnight.
- 30:41SPEAKER_01: It's really fun.
- 30:42SPEAKER_01: She reads like paranormal stories and has a cup of tea.
- 30:47SPEAKER_01: And it's just, I mean, it's just so calming.
- 30:49SPEAKER_01: And she'll be like, guys, in like the calmest tone, she'll be like, guys, I literally have chills.
- 30:54SPEAKER_01: I'm like, girl.
- 30:55SPEAKER_01: Me too.
- 30:56SPEAKER_01: Me too.
- 30:58SPEAKER_02: So I guess that might be it for all of our spooky stuff.
- 31:03SPEAKER_02: We've already talked about Halloween, what we're gonna do for Halloween.
- 31:06SPEAKER_01: Oh, what a boring freaking Halloween special episode.
- 31:10SPEAKER_01: That's not our fault.
- 31:12SPEAKER_01: No, it's your fault.
- 31:14SPEAKER_02: Okay, don't be so aggressive about it.
- 31:16SPEAKER_01: I'm sorry.
- 31:18SPEAKER_01: It's your fault.
- 31:20SPEAKER_01: You should have sent us your scary stories.
- 31:22SPEAKER_01: Now I'm gonna haunt you.
- 31:23SPEAKER_02: Okay, no, you can't.
- 31:25SPEAKER_02: No, this is just like we talked about you can't just go cursing people.
- 31:28SPEAKER_02: I didn't go cursing people.
- 31:30SPEAKER_02: But now you're saying you're gonna haunt them because they didn't give us stories.
- 31:33SPEAKER_01: I'm not.
- 31:34SPEAKER_01: I was just kidding.
- 31:36SPEAKER_01: I'll let it pass.
- 31:37SPEAKER_01: But it is your fault.
- 31:38SPEAKER_01: And it's your fault.
- 31:39SPEAKER_01: You shouldn't scary stories.
- 31:41SPEAKER_01: And then we had to deal with a bunch of steep bullshit.
- 31:45SPEAKER_01: Um let's see here.
- 31:49SPEAKER_02: There's Jane of the ACOC Auditorium in Greensboro.
- 31:54SPEAKER_02: If you tell that story, I might fall asleep.
- 31:57SPEAKER_02: I'm not even playing.
- 31:58SPEAKER_02: It's at the UNC Greensboro campus.
- 32:03SPEAKER_02: Home of the spirit, affectionately named Jane May.
- 32:08SPEAKER_01: Don't get all crazy on me now with that name.
- 32:11SPEAKER_02: She's a lonely spinster or a form formal former gonna faculty member, deeply attached to the university's arts program.
- 32:25SPEAKER_01: She sounds like she sounds bulbing.
- 32:30SPEAKER_01: That that's an arts college.
- 32:32SPEAKER_01: What are you talking about?
- 32:34SPEAKER_01: Um, actually, I have a few people that I know who are currently at UNC Greensboro, so that's that's great.
- 32:41SPEAKER_02: Herschel.
- 32:43SPEAKER_02: Herschel of High Point University.
- 32:47SPEAKER_02: A playful spirit tied to the campus's older theatrical spaces and historical buildings.
- 32:52SPEAKER_02: All I'm hearing is you need to stay away from the arts.
- 32:56SPEAKER_01: No arts.
- 32:58SPEAKER_01: You're thinking about theater.
- 33:00SPEAKER_01: No, you're gonna grow up to be a haunt haunted ghost person of the theater.
- 33:05SPEAKER_02: Yeah, it's like like just don't just stay out of the arts when you're finding it.
- 33:10SPEAKER_01: If you hear Hamilton going on, it's just Herschel.
- 33:12SPEAKER_01: Like, no.
- 33:14SPEAKER_01: Um, I can't deal with the A I can't deal with the Google, because it's not AI.
- 33:19SPEAKER_01: I can't deal with the Google freaking.
- 33:21SPEAKER_02: I know I'm over it.
- 33:22SPEAKER_01: So let's talk about something else.
- 33:24SPEAKER_01: Um, perfect.
- 33:25SPEAKER_01: Um, so we do go on a trip next week.
- 33:28SPEAKER_01: Well, this week, we'll probably leave the day after this is posted um to Pittsburgh.
- 33:36SPEAKER_01: Let's go steal.
- 33:37SPEAKER_01: I know we're so excited.
- 33:38SPEAKER_01: I just got my jersey and my kids' jerseys in from Vented.
- 33:45SPEAKER_02: Y'all, if you are not on Vented, it's a double-edged sword.
- 33:49SPEAKER_02: Like, maybe you shouldn't get on there because it's it's a trap, but also maybe you should get on there.
- 33:55SPEAKER_02: Because it's a trap.
- 33:57SPEAKER_02: Because it's a trap.
- 33:59SPEAKER_02: So obviously, we're going to Pittsburgh.
- 34:01SPEAKER_02: Like, our kids are growing, they need new Pittsburgh Steelers stuff.
- 34:05SPEAKER_02: Actual Pittsburgh Steelers stuff, brand new, is just outrageous right now.
- 34:09SPEAKER_02: I literally probably got like 15 pieces of stuff from Vented that is in fantastic condition for what I would have paid for one NFL labeled Steelers item.
- 34:23SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 34:24SPEAKER_01: I think that I mean, it's just freaking nuts the price of NFL stuff.
- 34:29SPEAKER_02: But like, it's awesome.
- 34:30SPEAKER_02: I mean, I've got I've got all kinds of great things out there.
- 34:33SPEAKER_02: I got uh Rowan, I got him some brand new with tag gap jeans for two dollars.
- 34:42SPEAKER_02: Oh.
- 34:44SPEAKER_01: Two bucks.
- 34:44SPEAKER_01: I'm putting my Christmas tree up uh this weekend.
- 34:48SPEAKER_01: It is the week before Halloween, and I put my Christmas tree up.
- 34:52SPEAKER_01: No.
- 34:53SPEAKER_01: No, but I am.
- 34:54SPEAKER_01: No, but I really am.
- 34:55SPEAKER_01: I've done took my false stuff down.
- 34:58SPEAKER_01: Halloween is it's just not my holiday.
- 35:00SPEAKER_01: Like, if my kids weren't so excited, I probably wouldn't even really celebrate it.
- 35:04SPEAKER_01: And that's not because, like, you know, it's just not really, I don't know.
- 35:09SPEAKER_01: Halloween as a kid was so freaking great, but now I'm just like, dude, I'm paying$40 for a costume for my kids that they're probably gonna ruin.
- 35:19SPEAKER_02: I mean, I like Halloween, but I don't think we should go right into Christmas.
- 35:23SPEAKER_01: I don't believe in Thanksgiving.
- 35:25SPEAKER_01: I hate Thanksgiving.
- 35:27SPEAKER_01: I hate Thanksgiving.
- 35:31SPEAKER_01: Hot take.
- 35:32SPEAKER_01: Why?
- 35:33SPEAKER_01: I just do.
- 35:34SPEAKER_01: I just really do.
- 35:35SPEAKER_01: I feel like I don't like it.
- 35:41SPEAKER_01: I just don't.
- 35:42SPEAKER_01: I just don't like it.
- 35:43SPEAKER_01: I'm being a hater this episode.
- 35:45SPEAKER_01: That's what's spooky about it, is my attitude.
- 35:47SPEAKER_02: I just hate I just don't think that you should skip Thanksgiving altogether.
- 35:50SPEAKER_02: Like, I don't think you should go straight from Halloween to Christmas.
- 35:53SPEAKER_01: Womp womp.
- 35:54SPEAKER_01: And I will, and I do.
- 35:55SPEAKER_01: Actually, you didn't even celebrate Halloween yet.
- 35:57SPEAKER_01: Because I just don't wanna.
- 36:00SPEAKER_01: Like the pumpkins, you can't even stick your kid in a pumpkin anymore because it causes salmonella that's almost killed a bunch of kids.
- 36:07SPEAKER_01: Cause where people used to stick their naked babies in pumpkins, I never did that.
- 36:11SPEAKER_01: I never stuck a naked baby in a pumpkin.
- 36:14SPEAKER_01: And then they're eating the pumpkin and then they get salmonella and they're in the hospital.
- 36:18SPEAKER_01: And I don't like the pumpkins because they run on my porch, they bring wild animals, and I already have freaking a ton of wild animals in my trash.
- 36:26SPEAKER_01: Did you get all that out?
- 36:28SPEAKER_01: No.
- 36:29SPEAKER_01: I really just don't like Halloween.
- 36:31SPEAKER_01: You know the minute?
- 36:32SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 36:33SPEAKER_01: I don't like Halloween.
- 36:35SPEAKER_01: I don't.
- 36:36SPEAKER_01: I don't like it.
- 36:38SPEAKER_01: Oh my god.
- 36:38SPEAKER_01: I bet I would like it more if I was in college.
- 36:41SPEAKER_01: Because I could just slap some cat ears on and then go on somewhere.
- 36:45SPEAKER_01: And I'd be like, what are you, a cat?
- 36:47SPEAKER_02: Yeah, that's one of our bummers about going to Pittsburgh over Halloween because we really like going to this restaurant called Hofburg House.
- 36:54SPEAKER_02: It's a German restaurant.
- 36:55SPEAKER_02: It's a big, like, it's a big chain, but they're only in like select large cities around the around the our country.
- 37:02SPEAKER_02: And then each one has different menus, right?
- 37:04SPEAKER_01: So the one in Pittsburgh has like a ball and menu where they've got like beer, cheese, chicken, beer, cheese, cheese fries, but they have a Carolina gold chicken sandwich.
- 37:16SPEAKER_01: My eyeballs watering.
- 37:18SPEAKER_01: That's embarrassing.
- 37:19SPEAKER_02: But anyways, um, but we can't go because obviously Pittsburgh is a huge college town.
- 37:25SPEAKER_02: They have several different colleges there, and it's Halloween weekend, so and it's could it's technically like a tavern too, so it's like a restaurant tavern.
- 37:35SPEAKER_02: So all the freaking college kids go there.
- 37:38SPEAKER_01: They like literally shut it down for just college kids.
- 37:41SPEAKER_02: Yeah, like you pretty much can't get in.
- 37:44SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 37:44SPEAKER_01: Um, because we sat there for what, over an hour last year?
- 37:48SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 37:48SPEAKER_01: Just for them.
- 37:49SPEAKER_01: And keep in mind, they took us in and then was like, yeah, like here's your wait time, whatever.
- 37:54SPEAKER_01: And then I was like, hey, like we've been waiting here for over an hour and we've watched a ton of people go in.
- 37:59SPEAKER_01: And they're like, Oh yeah, we're not c we're not open really to the public.
- 38:02SPEAKER_01: It's mostly just what, college weekend, Halloween or something like that.
- 38:06SPEAKER_02: Yeah, and it was like the people who were coming in and out were mostly going to the actual like bar.
- 38:11SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 38:11SPEAKER_02: Um, whereas we were trying to sit down as a group and eat together.
- 38:16SPEAKER_01: Which I mean, listen, you know, you do whatever you need to do, but that was a little frustrating.
- 38:20SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 38:21SPEAKER_01: But yes, I just don't really like Halloween.
- 38:25SPEAKER_01: I just don't.
- 38:27SPEAKER_01: But I obviously like I do the whole costumes thing and stuff because my kids like it.
- 38:31SPEAKER_01: Like my kids look forward to it, and I'm not gonna not because I don't want to.
- 38:39SPEAKER_01: Anyways.
- 38:40SPEAKER_01: I just really don't like and Thanksgiving.
- 38:43SPEAKER_01: Why are we so why are we so old?
- 38:45SPEAKER_01: Matter of fact, just don't even get me started on that.
- 38:48SPEAKER_01: I hate Thanksgiving.
- 38:49SPEAKER_01: The horse is already dead.
- 38:50SPEAKER_01: Quick kicking it.
- 38:52SPEAKER_01: I hate Thanksgiving.
- 38:54SPEAKER_01: God, it's dead.
- 38:55SPEAKER_01: I really just don't like it.
- 38:57SPEAKER_02: I just don't like it.
- 38:58SPEAKER_02: I'm excited about Thanksgiving.
- 39:00SPEAKER_01: We never get together for Thanksgiving.
- 39:02SPEAKER_01: We do.
- 39:03SPEAKER_01: Not on the actual day.
- 39:04SPEAKER_01: No, not on the actual day.
- 39:05SPEAKER_01: That's because Then what's the what is going on?
- 39:09SPEAKER_02: I keep wondering.
- 39:10SPEAKER_01: Then what's the difference in just eating?
- 39:14SPEAKER_02: Hello.
- 39:15SPEAKER_02: Hello.
- 39:17SPEAKER_02: Uh for those who are did not hear that, my back door like kind of clicked a little bit.
- 39:22SPEAKER_02: It was a little freaky.
- 39:24SPEAKER_02: And we were just talking about spooky shit.
- 39:27SPEAKER_02: You you done got a freaking thing attached to you.
- 39:29SPEAKER_01: No, I'm sweating.
- 39:30SPEAKER_01: Um yeah, we don't even so what's the difference in like just having like a dinner all together as a family?
- 39:35SPEAKER_01: Because we still get together.
- 39:38SPEAKER_01: To eat just plain shit.
- 39:40SPEAKER_01: No.
- 39:43SPEAKER_01: I hate turkey.
- 39:45SPEAKER_01: I hate ham.
- 39:46SPEAKER_01: I'm only there for the mashed potatoes, mac and cheese, and roll.
- 39:50SPEAKER_01: We know.
- 39:52SPEAKER_02: What the fuck's that's we know?
- 39:54unknown: What the hell?
- 39:55SPEAKER_02: Because that's all you eat other than a chicken dinner.
- 39:58SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 39:58SPEAKER_01: And I'll that's just nasty.
- 40:01SPEAKER_01: And then I have to cook something.
- 40:03SPEAKER_02: Oh, God forbid you contribute to the meal.
- 40:06SPEAKER_01: Like, why can't I just bring paper plates and like a two-liter?
- 40:10SPEAKER_01: Because there's a lot of cooking involved.
- 40:13SPEAKER_01: But it doesn't have to be.
- 40:16SPEAKER_01: Are you okay?
- 40:17SPEAKER_01: What is going on?
- 40:19SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
- 40:20SPEAKER_01: Are you sad?
- 40:21SPEAKER_02: It's my allergies, man.
- 40:25SPEAKER_01: But no.
- 40:26SPEAKER_01: I love Christmas.
- 40:27SPEAKER_02: You hurt my feelings by saying you didn't like Thanksgiving.
- 40:29SPEAKER_01: I hate Thanksgiving, matter of fact.
- 40:31SPEAKER_01: See?
- 40:31SPEAKER_01: You're the best.
- 40:33SPEAKER_01: I hate Thanksgiving.
- 40:34SPEAKER_01: I like Christmas.
- 40:36SPEAKER_01: I like to go see the are we gonna have to pause this?
- 40:39SPEAKER_01: Are you okay?
- 40:40SPEAKER_01: It'll be fun.
- 40:41SPEAKER_01: Um, I uh I like the lights and everything.
- 40:45SPEAKER_01: Makes me feel all festive and warm inside.
- 40:50SPEAKER_01: I didn't know that you could feel festive and warm inside.
- 40:54SPEAKER_01: And I love Christmas music.
- 40:57SPEAKER_01: I I love Christmas music.
- 41:00SPEAKER_01: It's not even fucking funny.
- 41:02SPEAKER_02: Hear me out.
- 41:03SPEAKER_02: I hate Christmas music.
- 41:06SPEAKER_02: And let me tell you why.
- 41:08SPEAKER_01: God tell us, tell us, please.
- 41:11SPEAKER_02: So we're dying to know.
- 41:13SPEAKER_02: So in my younger years, I was a waitress.
- 41:16SPEAKER_02: Was you?
- 41:17SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 41:18unknown: Okay.
- 41:19SPEAKER_02: And um one of the places that I worked, I won't put them on blast because I still love them, but they may know who they are if they listen to it.
- 41:28SPEAKER_02: One of the places that I worked, they would literally start playing freaking Christmas music November 1st.
- 41:35SPEAKER_02: I don't see a problem.
- 41:36SPEAKER_02: And keep in mind, this is when I'm waiting tables to like get through college or whatever.
- 41:43SPEAKER_02: And so there's a lot of times I'm pulling a double, especially on the weekends, because I don't have class on the weekends.
- 41:48SPEAKER_02: So usually on like Saturdays and Sundays, I'd pull a double.
- 41:51SPEAKER_02: So I'd be there from like first thing in the morning until like all the way through the end of the day.
- 41:55SPEAKER_02: So, and they play it's the same dang Christmas songs over.
- 42:03SPEAKER_02: There's only so many Christmas songs.
- 42:05SPEAKER_02: There's just different people singing them in different ways.
- 42:08SPEAKER_02: And so from November 1st until January 1st, because it didn't stop at freaking Christmas.
- 42:14SPEAKER_02: Ooh, see, that's where I'll draw the line.
- 42:16SPEAKER_02: Until January 1st, all I heard was freaking the same Christmas music over and over.
- 42:21SPEAKER_02: And from that day forward, you will not hear a Christmas song come across.
- 42:26SPEAKER_02: I I don't listen to playing radio because they play all that crap, and I'm like, nope, ain't doing it.
- 42:31SPEAKER_02: So you will not hear a single song, a Christmas song, coming from my car or any radio in my house until the day of Christmas, maybe Christmas Eve if you're lucky, but the day of Christmas.
- 42:45SPEAKER_01: Um I have a Christmas radio station.
- 42:49SPEAKER_01: Are you okay for real?
- 42:54SPEAKER_01: I have a Christmas radio station saved that plays Christmas music all year round in my car.
- 42:59SPEAKER_02: Yeah, the thought of that literally makes me want to slip nervous.
- 43:02SPEAKER_02: I don't think you can say that.
- 43:05SPEAKER_01: I don't think you can say that.
- 43:08SPEAKER_01: No, but I love Christmas music.
- 43:10SPEAKER_01: My favorite.
- 43:11SPEAKER_01: Guess what my favorite song is?
- 43:14SPEAKER_01: Is it Marac Eri?
- 43:15SPEAKER_01: All I want for Christmas.
- 43:16SPEAKER_01: Oh god, no.
- 43:17SPEAKER_01: It's worse.
- 43:18SPEAKER_01: What?
- 43:20SPEAKER_01: Wham.
- 43:21SPEAKER_01: That's Christmas.
- 43:23SPEAKER_01: Oh, I was like, what?
- 43:25SPEAKER_01: I you can't just say wham.
- 43:27SPEAKER_01: It's like I feel like you could have just said wham.
- 43:30SPEAKER_01: You can't.
- 43:31SPEAKER_01: You can't.
- 43:31SPEAKER_01: It's like panic at the disco.
- 43:33SPEAKER_01: No.
- 43:34SPEAKER_01: It is.
- 43:34SPEAKER_01: You can't just say panic in the disco.
- 43:37SPEAKER_01: Sure you can.
- 43:37SPEAKER_01: So then why is the exclamation point there?
- 43:40SPEAKER_01: Hello?
- 43:42SPEAKER_01: I don't feel like I said real words right then.
- 43:44SPEAKER_01: Why is the exclamation point there?
- 43:48SPEAKER_02: Just to be there, to make it look different than just wham.
- 43:52SPEAKER_02: Wham.
- 43:53SPEAKER_02: Nope.
- 43:54SPEAKER_02: Anyways.
- 43:57SPEAKER_02: I love George Michael.
- 44:00SPEAKER_02: I mean, I do like that song, actually.
- 44:02SPEAKER_01: I love George Michael.
- 44:04SPEAKER_02: But anywho.
- 44:08SPEAKER_02: One of my favorite movies for Christmas is The Grinch.
- 44:12SPEAKER_01: That's such a basic answer.
- 44:13SPEAKER_01: You want to minus?
- 44:15SPEAKER_01: What?
- 44:16SPEAKER_01: Guess.
- 44:16SPEAKER_01: I want you to guess.
- 44:18SPEAKER_01: Oh, I love Christmas.
- 44:19SPEAKER_01: I want you to guess.
- 44:20SPEAKER_01: Frosty as no man.
- 44:22SPEAKER_01: I feel like that was targeted, and that's really ugly.
- 44:25SPEAKER_01: And it was.
- 44:26SPEAKER_01: It wasn't.
- 44:27SPEAKER_01: Why?
- 44:29SPEAKER_01: Guess what?
- 44:30SPEAKER_01: Guess what?
- 44:30SPEAKER_01: Guess guess what my favorite?
- 44:32SPEAKER_01: What is it?
- 44:32SPEAKER_01: Just say it.
- 44:33SPEAKER_01: You see, and even the topic of Christmas makes you mad.
- 44:38SPEAKER_01: It's it's Christmas vacation.
- 44:41SPEAKER_01: It's that time.
- 44:45SPEAKER_02: Christmas time is here.
- 44:46SPEAKER_02: You want to watch it with Derek?
- 44:48SPEAKER_01: No.
- 44:48SPEAKER_01: I didn't last year.
- 44:49SPEAKER_01: And I just can't.
- 44:51SPEAKER_01: Because he thinks it's he thinks everything's so damn funny.
- 44:54SPEAKER_01: He does.
- 44:55SPEAKER_01: He thinks, and I just can't because every time I'm going to do it.
- 44:58SPEAKER_02: And he's saying it word for word.
- 45:00SPEAKER_01: Every time I watch something with him, I just can't.
- 45:02SPEAKER_01: Because he's like, and I'm literally like, I just want to punch him in the face.
- 45:07SPEAKER_01: Like, Derek's not that funny.
- 45:10SPEAKER_01: And he's cackling.
- 45:12SPEAKER_01: Really?
- 45:12SPEAKER_01: He is.
- 45:13SPEAKER_01: He's over here.
- 45:15SPEAKER_01: Derek.
- 45:18SPEAKER_02: He loves that movie.
- 45:20SPEAKER_01: Oh god, I know.
- 45:22SPEAKER_02: Man, he loves it.
- 45:24SPEAKER_01: I love that.
- 45:25SPEAKER_01: I do too.
- 45:26SPEAKER_02: It's better than a Christmas story.
- 45:27SPEAKER_02: I've never watched that movie.
- 45:30SPEAKER_02: I like it.
- 45:32unknown: Okay.
- 45:33SPEAKER_02: All right.
- 45:34SPEAKER_02: I like the one.
- 45:35SPEAKER_02: I think it was Frosty the Snowman, where it's got like the Heat Miser and the Snow Miser.
- 45:40SPEAKER_02: No.
- 45:42SPEAKER_02: Nope.
- 45:43SPEAKER_02: It used to be on like ABC Family.
- 45:45SPEAKER_01: Stop it.
- 45:46SPEAKER_01: That is either Rudolph or um the Year Without Santa Claus.
- 45:50SPEAKER_01: The Year Without Santa Claus.
- 45:51SPEAKER_01: It's one of those, yeah.
- 45:53SPEAKER_01: Watch it, not be any of them.
- 45:54SPEAKER_01: But it's something like that.
- 45:55SPEAKER_01: It's a stop motion.
- 45:56SPEAKER_01: They call me Heat Miser.
- 45:59SPEAKER_01: Whatever I'd touch.
- 46:00SPEAKER_01: Why did he turn into Kermit right then?
- 46:01SPEAKER_01: Heat miser.
- 46:03SPEAKER_01: Like.
- 46:04SPEAKER_01: Melts in my clutch.
- 46:06SPEAKER_01: I'm Mr.
- 46:07SPEAKER_02: Too Much.
- 46:07SPEAKER_02: Nice Stern or Sterner.
- 46:10SPEAKER_01: I like the little fat one.
- 46:11SPEAKER_01: I think that's the Heat Miser.
- 46:16SPEAKER_01: I'm Mr.
- 46:17SPEAKER_01: White Christmas.
- 46:19SPEAKER_01: It really is a Year Without Santa Claus.
- 46:20SPEAKER_01: I think that's the movie.
- 46:21SPEAKER_02: Anyways, that one is like one of my favorites from when I was a kid.
- 46:25SPEAKER_02: But I'll I'll I'll resonate with the Grinch.
- 46:31SPEAKER_02: He's just so ugly.
- 46:34SPEAKER_02: He's so ugly.
- 46:36SPEAKER_02: I resonate with that.
- 46:37SPEAKER_01: But then his heart grew three sizes there.
- 46:40SPEAKER_02: I'm still waiting for that to happen.
- 46:41SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 46:42SPEAKER_02: I don't think it'll ever happen.
- 46:43SPEAKER_02: But uh he he wasn't mean.
- 46:48SPEAKER_02: He was just misunderstood.
- 46:49SPEAKER_02: Yeah, he just like people.
- 46:52SPEAKER_01: No.
- 46:53SPEAKER_01: No, he did, but they were like he was.
- 46:55SPEAKER_02: They were mean to him.
- 46:57SPEAKER_01: They used to be Yeah, because he was like He wasn't like that until they were mean first.
- 47:04SPEAKER_01: He still got the baddest Who?
- 47:06SPEAKER_01: The baddest who at the end?
- 47:08SPEAKER_01: The mayor's wife.
- 47:10SPEAKER_01: Anyway.
- 47:11SPEAKER_01: Grinch is my favorite.
- 47:13SPEAKER_01: I don't like that movie.
- 47:14SPEAKER_01: I mean, like I do, but I just watched it so many times.
- 47:17SPEAKER_01: It's not called ABC Family anymore.
- 47:19SPEAKER_01: It's called Freeform.
- 47:21SPEAKER_01: And I hope you know that calling it ABC Family is such bald knowledge because nobody will really because I mean they changed that whenever I was younger.
- 47:31SPEAKER_01: Oh.
- 47:31SPEAKER_01: And I just think that's crazy.
- 47:33SPEAKER_01: And I remember when that happened, I was so sad that they changed it.
- 47:36SPEAKER_01: Yeah, it's called Freeform.
- 47:38SPEAKER_02: Oh, I remember when it was ABC Family.
- 47:44SPEAKER_01: Oh, I do love a good Hallmark movie.
- 47:46SPEAKER_01: Like, she falls for the Christmas prints.
- 47:48SPEAKER_01: And I'm like, oh god, yes, she does.
- 47:51SPEAKER_01: And I'm sitting there ball my as well.
- 47:53SPEAKER_01: Yeah, it's a whole thing.
- 47:54SPEAKER_01: Lateness.
- 47:55SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 47:57SPEAKER_01: I love Christmas.
- 47:58SPEAKER_01: That makes me feel so happy.
- 48:00SPEAKER_02: Ask if somebody's already given her kids their Christmas presents.
- 48:03SPEAKER_01: I did not.
- 48:04SPEAKER_01: I did not.
- 48:05SPEAKER_01: They were supposed to be their Christmas presents, but I can't keep a damn secret to save my life.
- 48:10SPEAKER_01: So then it was a bunch of monster trucks, and then I just gave it to them.
- 48:16SPEAKER_02: Yeah, she Snapchats me yesterday on a video chat, and I see her daughter playing with this huge tub of monster trucks.
- 48:24SPEAKER_01: Keep in mind she already had over half of those, but we did get her eleven more.
- 48:29SPEAKER_02: So yes.
- 48:31SPEAKER_02: Someone couldn't wait.
- 48:33SPEAKER_02: Which I can't say anything.
- 48:35SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I was gonna be like, hi pot.
- 48:37SPEAKER_02: I'm high kettle.
- 48:39SPEAKER_02: I can't really say much because I'm really bad for that too.
- 48:42SPEAKER_02: So that I so now I try to wait until last minute to buy anything.
- 48:47SPEAKER_01: You're such a type B mom.
- 48:48SPEAKER_01: I'm such a type A mom.
- 48:49SPEAKER_02: What is the type C?
- 48:50SPEAKER_02: Is that the one that's like all over the freaking place?
- 48:54SPEAKER_01: Sorry, what?
- 48:55SPEAKER_01: A type C is a vape charger.
- 48:58SPEAKER_01: No, there's a type C mom.
- 49:00SPEAKER_01: Oh, no, you're a type B.
- 49:02SPEAKER_01: What does that mean?
- 49:03SPEAKER_01: Um, have you packed your bags for Pittsburgh yet?
- 49:06SPEAKER_01: Nope.
- 49:06SPEAKER_01: I have.
- 49:08SPEAKER_01: My suitcase is packed.
- 49:10SPEAKER_02: My kids' suitcases are packed.
- 49:12SPEAKER_02: My bags are not packed.
- 49:13SPEAKER_02: They will be packed probably Thursday night.
- 49:17SPEAKER_01: I can't do I can't.
- 49:19SPEAKER_01: Because then I have that whole week to remember if I forgot anything.
- 49:22SPEAKER_02: And I'm just like, I'll just Walmart Plus if I forgot something.
- 49:25SPEAKER_01: But I see I don't like to do that.
- 49:27SPEAKER_01: Because then that's how I get a bunch of shit in my house.
- 49:29SPEAKER_01: My house is small.
- 49:32SPEAKER_02: Do you guys like ever go to like an Airbnb and like plan to have meals there?
- 49:37SPEAKER_01: I feel like everybody does that.
- 49:39SPEAKER_02: I mean, I feel like that's one of the benefits of having an Airbnb versus like staying at a hotel, right?
- 49:44SPEAKER_01: Nope.
- 49:44SPEAKER_01: I love a good hotel.
- 49:45SPEAKER_02: I mean, I love a hotel too.
- 49:47SPEAKER_02: Don't get me wrong.
- 49:48SPEAKER_02: And it used to be like the benefit of staying in an Airbnb was because it was cheaper than a hotel, which that is not the case anymore.
- 49:54SPEAKER_02: Ooh.
- 49:55SPEAKER_02: Stop it.
- 49:56SPEAKER_01: Did you see where Airbnb are threatening to drop hosts if they put like put your towels in the washing?
- 50:04SPEAKER_01: I did see that.
- 50:04SPEAKER_01: And I think that's crazy.
- 50:06SPEAKER_02: No, I don't.
- 50:07SPEAKER_02: Now if you They want you to do all the cleaning for them and then they still charge you like a$150 cleaning fee.
- 50:15SPEAKER_01: Yeah, no, if they're charging a cleaning fee, that's ridiculous.
- 50:17SPEAKER_02: But like I They all charge a cleaning fee.
- 50:19SPEAKER_01: Oh.
- 50:20SPEAKER_01: Well, I mean, I don't mind to like put the dishes in the dishwasher and start them.
- 50:24SPEAKER_02: Yeah, but like they're wanting you some of them.
- 50:26SPEAKER_02: They're like in weeks.
- 50:28SPEAKER_02: We've been to some where we've had to strip the beds down and put all the bed sheets and stuff in a certain place.
- 50:34SPEAKER_02: That one place that we stayed at in um Oak Island.
- 50:39SPEAKER_01: The big one?
- 50:39SPEAKER_02: Yeah, we had to strip all the bed sheets down.
- 50:42SPEAKER_02: We had to start all the um the dishes, we had to get all the trash out and put it down to chute.
- 50:50SPEAKER_02: So like we did all the cleaning for them.
- 50:52SPEAKER_02: And then they charge you like$150 for a cleaning fee.
- 50:55SPEAKER_01: Yeah, now if it's just simply like put all the towels in the bathtub or in like the washing machine, then that's what I'll do.
- 51:01SPEAKER_01: I mean, it's not that deep anyway.
- 51:02SPEAKER_01: Yeah, that I don't mind.
- 51:03SPEAKER_01: But like if you're like scrub the grout, I'm like, bro, nope.
- 51:07SPEAKER_02: Yeah, but a lot of them are wanting you to do the cleaning for them and then also charge a cleaning fee, which I think is Airbnb's main issue.
- 51:14SPEAKER_01: Well, I love I don't know, I really do miss seeing an hotel when you go to Pittsburgh.
- 51:18SPEAKER_01: You know what I miss, especially going to Pittsburgh during the Christmas time?
- 51:23SPEAKER_02: I know, but the kids are so little.
- 51:25SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 51:25SPEAKER_01: They'll get cold.
- 51:26SPEAKER_01: I think that once um, especially Shepard, because he's officially the last grandchild.
- 51:33SPEAKER_01: I know.
- 51:35SPEAKER_01: But he's officially the last grandchild.
- 51:36SPEAKER_01: And I think whenever he gets about four, then that's when I think we get we should start planning for December trips.
- 51:43SPEAKER_01: Not deep into December, but because we never really did deep into December.
- 51:47SPEAKER_02: Or like at least like mid-November, so that way you're getting like the beginning of the Christmas stuff.
- 51:51SPEAKER_01: No, they set up that Christmas stuff as soon as Halloween's over.
- 51:54SPEAKER_02: But anyways.
- 51:56SPEAKER_02: Um hotels are just so expensive now.
- 51:59SPEAKER_01: I know.
- 52:00SPEAKER_01: But it's like some I miss uh getting to be like right on the shuttle.
- 52:05SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 52:06SPEAKER_01: But we can't even do that anyway.
- 52:07SPEAKER_01: We have car seats.
- 52:08SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 52:09SPEAKER_02: But it was like it's like$400 a night there just to stay in a room, a hotel room.
- 52:14SPEAKER_02: And so it's beneficial for us as a large group to just go get an Airbnb because it it ends up being cheaper than$400 a night.
- 52:25SPEAKER_01: Yeah, but we also go during like peak NFL season, so that doesn't help.
- 52:28SPEAKER_01: Yeah, that's true too.
- 52:30SPEAKER_01: So yeah.
- 52:32SPEAKER_01: And it's not so far in advance because we usually buy tickets as soon as the drafts over.
- 52:38SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 52:39SPEAKER_02: Um, but it is nice that having the Airbnb because we can save a little bit of money by cooking a little bit instead of being forced to go eat out all the time.
- 52:47SPEAKER_02: So that's nice.
- 52:51SPEAKER_02: Apparently, somebody would rather go eat out all the time.
- 52:54SPEAKER_02: But I'm in the spirit of we need to save some money because it's Christmas time, and I got people to buy for.
- 53:03SPEAKER_02: Yep.
- 53:04SPEAKER_02: So we're cooking for a couple of nights while we're up there, and my sister is not very happy about it.
- 53:09SPEAKER_01: No, I'm not because I go for I go to Pittsburgh for one of the food.
- 53:12SPEAKER_01: Do you think I got this physique by what?
- 53:14SPEAKER_01: Just staying at home eating a salad?
- 53:15SPEAKER_02: We're still going to the the places that you want to go.
- 53:18SPEAKER_02: No, Miss Steele.
- 53:21SPEAKER_01: And then I'm pissed that we're not going to your Christmas time or whatever that shit.
- 53:24SPEAKER_01: I can bundle my children up.
- 53:27SPEAKER_02: Your kids aren't going to the game.
- 53:28SPEAKER_02: My kids are going to the game.
- 53:30SPEAKER_02: And if the it's like, You know what that sounds like?
- 53:32SPEAKER_01: You know what that sounds like.
- 53:34SPEAKER_02: You know what that sounds like.
- 53:35SPEAKER_02: Well, how about you buy your own tickets next year and then you go whenever you want to go?
- 53:38SPEAKER_02: I don't want to go to the family.
- 53:42SPEAKER_02: Okay, then you'll go when it's good for everybody.
- 53:47SPEAKER_02: But we're excited.
- 53:48SPEAKER_02: We got a lot of people going with us this year.
- 53:50SPEAKER_02: It's gonna be a very full house.
- 53:54SPEAKER_01: I'm ecstatic.
- 53:56SPEAKER_01: It's gonna be a very full house.
- 53:57SPEAKER_01: We're excited.
- 53:58SPEAKER_01: I'm ecstatic.
- 54:00SPEAKER_02: I really am excited.
- 54:01SPEAKER_02: I can't wait.
- 54:06SPEAKER_02: She's a little nervous.
- 54:08SPEAKER_01: I know.
- 54:08SPEAKER_01: It's just that's a lot of kids in one house with a bunch of stairs.
- 54:13SPEAKER_01: And I have anxiety.
- 54:16SPEAKER_01: Well, it's it's three stories tall.
- 54:19SPEAKER_02: That's a shit ton.
- 54:20SPEAKER_02: Hello.
- 54:21SPEAKER_02: But the main hangout area is downstairs.
- 54:25SPEAKER_01: Yeah, that's unbaby proofed.
- 54:27SPEAKER_01: And my kids just grab a hold and break shit.
- 54:30SPEAKER_01: That sounds like a you problem.
- 54:32SPEAKER_01: It is.
- 54:32SPEAKER_01: I know.
- 54:34SPEAKER_01: Okay, guys, we gotta wrap this up today.
