- 0:01Speaker 2: Mr.
- 0:01Speaker 1: New York.
- 0:02Speaker 2: Now three hours every weekday from 9 till noon on.
- 0:08Speaker 3: 710WOR.
- 0:09Speaker 1: Hey, let's take some calls. 800-321-0710 is the number. Let's
- 0:15Speaker 1: go to Dave in Chicago. Dave, how you doing?
- 0:18Speaker 4: Good morning, Mark.
- 0:19Speaker 2: I'm doing very well, thank you. Mark, as the next governor...
- 0:24Speaker 2: Bruce Blakeman, will he be addressing congestion pricing, the tolls
- 0:29Speaker 2: for bridges? And the second question is, where right now
- 0:34Speaker 2: is all of this revenue going, if you please?
- 0:37Speaker 1: Out the window, usually. It goes to important things like waste, fraud,
- 0:41Speaker 1: and bloat. That's what it covers. Yeah, Bruce Blakeman, I
- 0:44Speaker 1: guarantee you, this is another reason you want to vote
- 0:46Speaker 1: for him. I guarantee on day one, the congestion pricing
- 0:49Speaker 1: tax ends that night. and he'll get rid of a
- 0:54Speaker 1: lot of taxes. This is what he did in Long Island.
- 0:56Speaker 1: He'll make you safer. He will start to cut taxes,
- 1:01Speaker 1: and you can be sure there'll be no tax increases
- 1:04Speaker 1: with him. Now you're going to say, well, he's got
- 1:05Speaker 1: a big Democratic legislature. He had the same problem in
- 1:08Speaker 1: Nassau County. He's pretty good at working with them and
- 1:11Speaker 1: getting things done. But we've got to hope and pray
- 1:15Speaker 1: that Bruce Blakeman becomes the governor. Everything will change. He
- 1:18Speaker 1: can also do some stuff to rope in Mamdani. and
- 1:22Speaker 1: keep away some of his crazy nonsense. Bruce Blakeman, you
- 1:25Speaker 1: can help him. Go to BlakemanForNewYork.com. BlakemanForNewYork.com. Let's go to
- 1:31Speaker 1: Arthur in Cedarhurst, speaking of Nassau County. Arthur, how are
- 1:34Speaker 1: you doing?
- 1:36Speaker 5: I'm well, thank you, Mark.
- 1:37Speaker 4: How are you?
- 1:37Speaker 3: Good.
- 1:39Speaker 4: Good.
- 1:39Speaker 5: First of all, long-time fan going back to Sundays with Sinatra.
- 1:44Speaker 1: Wow, very good.
- 1:46Speaker 3: Okay.
- 1:47Speaker 5: My simple question is, this emergency on the measles, Do
- 1:52Speaker 5: you know how many measles cases this year have come
- 1:56Speaker 5: up in New York State?
- 1:57Speaker 4: No.
- 1:58Speaker 1: How many?
- 1:58Speaker 3: A little over 100.
- 2:00Speaker 5: It was 16 in September. This is a massive outbreak
- 2:06Speaker 5: of an emergency, or is this a political ploy?
- 2:08Speaker 1: Yeah, you're right. It's very, very, very, very, very few cases. Yeah,
- 2:14Speaker 1: it's a good point. What are you doing, Cedarhurst, Arthur?
- 2:18Speaker 5: I'm a computer consultant.
- 2:20Speaker 1: Oh, my God.
- 2:20Speaker 3: Fixed computers.
- 2:21Speaker 1: Too complicated. You really fix computers?
- 2:24Speaker 3: Yes, I do.
- 2:26Speaker 1: You know, we can't get it to work, and then
- 2:28Speaker 1: we call you guys, a guy like you comes in,
- 2:30Speaker 1: and you go into parts of the computer we've never
- 2:32Speaker 1: even seen. Is it really that complicated, or could anybody
- 2:36Speaker 1: learn this stuff?
- 2:37Speaker 5: It's not any more complicated than the job you do.
- 2:41Speaker 5: And anybody can't do your job. Not everybody can do
- 2:43Speaker 5: my job.
- 2:44Speaker 1: All right. Good answer, Arthur. Thanks for calling. Let's go
- 2:47Speaker 1: to Dan in Queens. Dan, how you doing?
- 2:50Speaker 4: Good, good, Mark. Mark, Blakeman has got to be the
- 2:55Speaker 4: biggest populist in the country, either Republican or Democrat, besides
- 3:00Speaker 4: the sanctuary city today. Last week, him coming out with saying.
- 3:05Speaker 3: He would reduce.
- 3:06Speaker 4: New York state taxes, 50% for moderate income people. That's
- 3:12Speaker 4: like revolutionary, really. I wish they could get that.
- 3:17Speaker 1: It's more common sense than it used to be the
- 3:19Speaker 1: way a lot of politicians were, but I guess nowadays
- 3:21Speaker 1: that's considered revolutionary. Yeah, no, Blakeman's got a brilliant tax
- 3:26Speaker 1: plan he's put out, and it would dramatically reduce taxes.
- 3:29Speaker 1: You know, our budget here in New York, is some
- 3:32Speaker 1: preposterous number. It's, I don't know, it's like 270 billion
- 3:36Speaker 1: in New York. It should be about 100 billion. I mean,
- 3:40Speaker 1: it's double, triple what it's supposed to be. Florida has
- 3:45Speaker 1: a much bigger population than New York. Their budget is
- 3:48Speaker 1: half of what ours is. It's all just waste, fraud, bloat.
- 3:52Speaker 1: It's easy to cut the budget in half, which would
- 3:55Speaker 1: mean your taxes would be cut in half. Let's go
- 3:59Speaker 1: to Jerry in Greenwich. Jerry, how you doing? Very well.
- 4:03Speaker 3: Thank you, Mark. Thank you for taking my call. Every
- 4:07Speaker 3: time I watch television, I see Bernie Sanders. He speaks
- 4:11Speaker 3: like a crazy maniac. I mean, I think this guy
- 4:15Speaker 3: should be committed. He's out to ruin America, and all
- 4:19Speaker 3: the people that listen to him, they think they should
- 4:22Speaker 3: be committed, too.
- 4:23Speaker 1: Well, I don't know. He's not crazy. He's got a
- 4:26Speaker 1: good act. Hey, the guy's got, like, four mansions now.
- 4:28Speaker 1: He's flying around on jet planes. He must know something.
- 4:30Speaker 1: I mean, private planes.
- 4:31Speaker 3: He's... Everything he says is a lie.
- 4:35Speaker 1: Well, he's a politician. He's in Congress. What do you
- 4:38Speaker 1: expect him to do? They all lie. But good point, Jerry. Yeah,
- 4:42Speaker 1: he's your typical socialist. He'll give you a handout now
- 4:46Speaker 1: and then. The guy literally has three mansions. Three mansions.
- 4:50Speaker 1: He's got a home everywhere. He's a multimillionaire. He makes
- 4:54Speaker 1: like $ 180, 000 as a senator. Somehow he's got $ 30 million
- 4:55Speaker 1: in cash on hand. He's made a fortune. And all
- 5:04Speaker 1: he does is lecture you, and he's yelling and screaming,
- 5:06Speaker 1: but the top 5% or the top 2% only pay 1%.
- 5:12Speaker 1: Nobody knows what he's talking about, but it sounds good. And,
- 5:15Speaker 1: you know, he has the hair sticking out, so he
- 5:17Speaker 1: looks a little crazier. He's your typical socialist. Oh, when
- 5:21Speaker 1: we come back, this new study comes out. You're like, 80%
- 5:25Speaker 1: of Americans think the economy's in trouble. You know, it's
- 5:28Speaker 1: actually just the opposite. We'll talk to a real expert,
- 5:31Speaker 1: John Carney, the Breitbart business editor. The Breitbart Business News,
- 5:35Speaker 1: it's the first thing the top economists read every day.
- 5:38Speaker 1: Scott Besson has said he reads it every morning first thing,
- 5:41Speaker 1: Larry Kudlow. But he'll give us the real story on
- 5:43Speaker 1: the economy. We'll get to that coming up next on 710WOR.
