Speaker 1: The first step would be to give up on the
• 0:02
Speaker 1: mass deportation fantasy. About one in five fairfact residents is
• 0:07
Speaker 1: someone who could be deported or who lives with them.
• 0:09
Speaker 1: It would destroy neighborhoods, rip Americans away from their spouses, parents, friends, families, customers, employees, employers, nurses, natives,
• 0:20
  Speaker 1: and teachers.
• 0:21
Speaker 2: You're listening to the forty seven Morning Update with Ben ferguson.
• 0:25
Speaker 3: Good Friday morning. Nice to have you with us on
• 0:27
Speaker 3: the forty seven Morning Update, and we've got two major
• 0:29
Speaker 3: stories for you. First up, Democrats are now admitting that
• 0:34
Speaker 3: there is a massive number of illegal immigrants in this country.
• 0:38
Speaker 3: In fact, in the largest county in Virginia, they're admitting
• 0:42
Speaker 3: that twenty percent of the population could be deported. So
• 0:46
Speaker 3: now they're saying it's impossible to do it, so they
• 0:48
Speaker 3: must all stay. I'll have more on this and the
• 0:52
Speaker 3: audio in just a moment. Plus what does this mean nationwide?
• 0:56
Speaker 3: And how bad are the census numbers when it comes
• 0:59
Speaker 3: to county illegal immigrants and how much power is that
• 1:02
Speaker 3: actually giving Democrats in Washington by adding seats to liberal states.
• 1:07
Speaker 3: I break it down for you. Every day Americans make
• 1:11
Speaker 3: choices that shape our country's future, right down to which
• 1:15
Speaker 3: cell phone provider we support. Here's what most people don't
• 1:18
Speaker 3: actually realize. Patriot Mobile isn't just a wireless provider. They're
• 1:23
Speaker 3: an activist organization funded by selling top tier cell service.
• 1:28
Speaker 3: They've been on the front lines defending our freedoms long
• 1:31
Speaker 3: before it was cool, standing up and the gap when
• 1:34
Speaker 3: others wouldn't. The best part is they deliver prioritized premium
• 1:39
Speaker 3: service on all three major US networks, giving you the
• 1:43
Speaker 3: same or even better coverage backed by one hundred percent

Speaker 3: US based customer support. You get unlimited data, mobile hotspots,
• 1:51
Speaker 3: international roaming, and so much more. But when you switch
• 1:55
Speaker 3: to Patriot Mobile, that's what I love the most. You'll
• 1:58
Speaker 3: help grow a movement that fuels the Christian conservative cause.

• 2:06
Speaker 3: and freedom. And switching is easier than ever. You can

• 2:29
Speaker 3: ben forty seven or ninety seven to Patriot and switch
• 2:33
Speaker 3: Today it's the forty seven Morning Update, and it starts
• 2:37
  Speaker 3: right now.
• 2:37
  Speaker 2: Story number one.
• 2:39
Speaker 3: When Donald Trump ran for president, he made it very
• 2:41
Speaker 3: clear he was going to put Americans first, that was
• 2:44
Speaker 3: the top of his agenda, and he was going to
• 2:47
Speaker 3: make sure that people that had broken in this country,
• 2:49
Speaker 3: that were here illegally, would no longer be put ahead
• 2:54
Speaker 3: of Americans, they wouldn't be able to get as many
• 2:56
Speaker 3: government benefits as they've been getting so far, and that
• 2:59
Speaker 3: he was going to move to deport them. Well, we
• 3:02
Speaker 3: have a new firestorm of an example of exactly what
• 3:05
Speaker 3: President Trump was talking about. It's now erupting in Fairfax County, Virginia,
• 3:11
Speaker 3: and it's rapidly becoming a national symbol in the debate
• 3:15
Speaker 3: over immigration as well as the census, as well as
• 3:18
Speaker 3: political representation and the future balance of power in Washington,
• 3:23
Speaker 3: d C. Fairfax County is the largest county in Virginia,
• 3:28
Speaker 3: sitting just outside of Washington, DC, and according to figures
• 3:32
Speaker 3: now being discussed by immigration analysts and lawmakers, roughly one
• 3:38
Speaker 3: in five residents I want to say that again, roughly
• 3:42
Speaker 3: one in five residents in Fairfax county could potentially be
• 3:47
Speaker 3: subject to deportation or removal proceedings under stricter immigration enforcement standards.
• 3:54
Speaker 3: We're talking about twenty percent of the population in Virginia's
• 3:59
Speaker 3: largest count right outside of Washington, d C. Are individuals
• 4:03
Speaker 3: that shouldn't be in this country in the first place.
• 4:07
Speaker 3: Now that staggering number has ignited outrage among critics and
• 4:12
Speaker 3: current immigration policies. It's also triggered new congressional scrutiny of
• 4:17
Speaker 3: sanctuary style policies in the region. There was part of
• 4:21
Speaker 3: this that became very clear and a hearing on Washington,
• 4:24
Speaker 3: d C. Where a Cato Institute individual said this before Congress.
• 4:31
Speaker 1: The first step would be to give up on the
• 4:35
Speaker 1: mass deportation fantasy. About one in five Fairfact residents is
• 4:39
Speaker 1: someone who could be deported or who lives with them.
• 4:42
Speaker 1: It would destroy neighborhoods, rip Americans away from their spouses, parents, friends, families, customers, employees, employers, nurses, nannies,
• 4:53
  Speaker 1: and teachers.
• 4:54
Speaker 3: This guy is mister Bayer. He's a random guy that
• 4:58
Speaker 3: tells you that one one and five Fairfax residence is
• 5:01
Speaker 3: someone who could be deported or lives with them. It
• 5:05
Speaker 3: is not normal. The twenty percent of the largest county
• 5:07
Speaker 3: in Virginia could be deported. What's even more shocking is
• 5:10
Speaker 3: how not normal it is for the new argument of
• 5:14
Speaker 3: the left to be, well, there's just too many illegal immigrants,
• 5:19
Speaker 3: so you cannot deport them. The logic here is now,
• 5:23
Speaker 3: instead of lying to you about how many illegal immigrants
• 5:27
Speaker 3: are in America, the Democratic Party in the left are
• 5:30
Speaker 3: now saying, we'll tell you exactly how many there are
• 5:33
Speaker 3: to prove a point that there are so many illegal
• 5:36
Speaker 3: immigrants that are in the United States of America that
• 5:39
Speaker 3: you need to get rid of the fantasy that we
• 5:42
Speaker 3: are going to actually deport all of them, and it
• 5:45
Speaker 3: would destroy communities if you did it, so therefore you
• 5:49
Speaker 3: cannot do it. I want to play this clip one
• 5:52
Speaker 3: more time, and now that you understand the messaging here
• 5:56
Speaker 3: and what their motivation is, listen to how the new
• 6:01
Speaker 3: argument of the left has completely changed.
• 6:04
  Speaker 2: It's them.
• 6:05
Speaker 1: The first step would be to give up on the
• 6:07
Speaker 1: mass deportation fantasy. About one in five fairfact residents is
• 6:12
Speaker 1: someone who could be deported or who lives with them.
• 6:15
Speaker 1: It would destroy neighborhoods, rip Americans away from their spouses, parents, friends, families, customers, employees, employers, nurses, nannies,
• 6:25
  Speaker 1: and teachers.
• 6:27
Speaker 3: Let me be clear, Let me be clear, really all right,
• 6:31
Speaker 3: Republicans on Capitol Hill, now is your opportunity to use
• 6:35
Speaker 3: the Fairfax County as a case study in what they
• 6:38
Speaker 3: describe as the consequences of failed immigration enforcement and sanctuary
• 6:44
Speaker 3: government policies. Hearings have focused on accusations now that the
• 6:49
Speaker 3: local officials have no or limited cooperation with federal immigration authorities,
• 6:55
Speaker 3: including ICE, while legal immigrant numbers have surged nationwide, as
• 7:02
Speaker 3: Democrats seem to be now saying, we want to count
• 7:04
Speaker 3: all the illegal immigrants, not underplay the number, but actually
• 7:08
Speaker 3: tell you an honest number. So the problem looks so
• 7:11
Speaker 3: big that it's inhumane to try to stop it.
• 7:14
Speaker 2: Next story number two.
• 7:16
Speaker 3: Now, behind the controversy is a much larger and an
• 7:19
Speaker 3: even more explosive national issue. It is how immigration, both
• 7:25
Speaker 3: legal and illegal, is reshaping political representation in the United
• 7:30
Speaker 3: States of America. Now, that is the whole plan of
• 7:32
Speaker 3: the Democratic Party, and right now, under the current Census
• 7:35
Speaker 3: Bureau policy, every person living in the United States of
• 7:39
Speaker 3: America is counting the census. That means that all citizens,
• 7:44
Speaker 3: all legal immigrants, all green card holders, all refugees, all
• 7:50
Speaker 3: visa holders, all asylum seekers, and this is the most
• 7:53
Speaker 3: important category for Democrats. All illegal immigrants are counted. The
• 8:00
Speaker 3: Census explicitly states that congressional appointment is based on counting
• 8:05
Speaker 3: all persons residing in the country, regardless of citizenship status.
• 8:11
Speaker 3: That matters because the census determines far more than just
• 8:15
Speaker 3: population statistics. Every ten years, census totals determine something that's
• 8:21
Speaker 3: extremely important, how many seats each state receives in the
• 8:26
Speaker 3: House of Representatives. Those same numbers also determine the Electoral
• 8:30
Speaker 3: College votes in the presidential elections, and they influence the
• 8:34
Speaker 3: distribution of hundreds of billions of federal dollars. Now, just
• 8:37
Speaker 3: hit pause for a second and think about this. Is
• 8:41
Speaker 3: it fair to say that in Virginia there's a very
• 8:44
Speaker 3: good chance that there are too many representatives in Washington
• 8:49
Speaker 3: representing people of Virginia based on the number of illegal immigrants.
• 8:53
Speaker 3: I think the answer is based on the evidence. It's overwhelming.
• 8:57
Speaker 3: Moved to a place like California. California has a massive
• 9:01
Speaker 3: number of individuals representing the state in Congress. They have
• 9:05
Speaker 3: an incredible amount of power as a state. They also
• 9:08
Speaker 3: have an incredible amount of power in picking the president
• 9:11
Speaker 3: of the United States of America. California helps Democrats get
• 9:14
Speaker 3: much closer to the finish line on election night every
• 9:18
Speaker 3: single time we have a presidential election. And the reason
• 9:22
Speaker 3: why there is so much power is based on the
• 9:26
Speaker 3: fact that we're counting illegal immigrants. Now, more people county
• 9:31
Speaker 3: means more political power, and that's exactly why you're now
• 9:34
Speaker 3: hearing people like mister Bayer who are telling you the
• 9:37
Speaker 3: truth on the illegal immigrant numbers because they want that power.
• 9:42
Speaker 3: Organizations like the Center for Immigration Studies have argued that
• 9:46
Speaker 3: immigration levels legal and illegal combined have shifted congressional seats
• 9:52
Speaker 3: and electoral College votes towards high immigration states for decades.
• 9:57
Speaker 3: Their analysis claim states with large non citizen populations receive
• 10:03
Speaker 3: additional representation because non citizens are included in the census
• 10:06
Speaker 3: counts even though they cannot vote in federal elections. California,
• 10:12
Speaker 3: as I mentioned earlier, is the perfect example for this debate.
• 10:16
Speaker 3: California gained enormous political influence because of population growth that
• 10:20
Speaker 3: was fueled heavily by illegal immigrants. The state is also
• 10:24
Speaker 3: now experiencing a major population exodus as residents leave over
• 10:29
Speaker 3: the high taxes. The housing costs, crime concerns, costs of
• 10:32
Speaker 3: living pressures. California actually lost a congressional seat after the
• 10:36
Speaker 3: twenty twenty census for the first time in state history.
• 10:41
Speaker 3: Yet analysts note that California may have lost even more
• 10:46
Speaker 3: political representation if non citizens had not been included in
• 10:52
Speaker 3: the census count, and it brings up an even bigger question.
• 10:56
Speaker 3: Is it time for the American people, for the Republican Party,
• 11:01
Speaker 3: for the president United States America to bring this debate
• 11:05
Speaker 3: front and center. When you have one in five Fairfax
• 11:08
Speaker 3: residence is someone that should be deported, you know you've
• 11:12
Speaker 3: got a massive problem. Twenty percent of the largest county
• 11:16
Speaker 3: in Virginia not a border state is a massive red
• 11:21
Speaker 3: flag for other states. And the question now is not
• 11:24
Speaker 3: only how many illegals are actually in this country, but
• 11:27
Speaker 3: how much are they costing you as a taxpayer, and
• 11:30
Speaker 3: how much are they skewing the election towards Democratic candidates
• 11:34
Speaker 3: because of the census.
