- 0:00Speaker 1: Hello everybody and welcome to episode number 10 of the
- 0:06Speaker 1: Ruffling the Feathers podcast. In today's episode we are three
- 0:10Speaker 1: weeks down with the NFL and we are celebrating because
- 0:15Speaker 1: there was a Miracle in Rio de Janeiro, ladies and gentlemen.
- 0:21Speaker 1: Once again, I am Talent Master Jay. I am one
- 0:24Speaker 1: of your humble podcasting hosts out there in podcast land,
- 0:28Speaker 1: wherever you are listening to this fun NFL discussion. And
- 0:32Speaker 1: joining me, as always, are my two co-hosts in Brandon
- 0:36Speaker 1: and Supernova. Gentlemen, what is going on?
- 0:41Speaker 2: Oh, it was the second Monday today. Ha ha ha!
- 0:48Speaker 1: What is it with the phrase second monday like i
- 0:52Speaker 1: i don't understand this phrase you have to explain.
- 0:55Speaker 2: It to me because mondays suck and then now we
- 0:59Speaker 2: have monday part two but on a tuesday.
- 1:05Speaker 1: Yeah i mean okay that yeah that's kind of fair
- 1:07Speaker 1: right there but nova how are you doing today brother.
- 1:11Speaker 3: Doing all right. You know, we witnessed a little bit
- 1:14Speaker 3: of chaos happening in week three. Of course, title speaks
- 1:18Speaker 3: for itself. We're going to go over that later. Otherwise,
- 1:21Speaker 3: I made my studio debut in Riverside TV, you know,
- 1:24Speaker 3: with my good friends Pep Fernandez and Jeff Gorham, and
- 1:27Speaker 3: went ahead and called the San Bernardino Valley College game,
- 1:30Speaker 3: which unfortunately took their first loss of the season to
- 1:32Speaker 3: the Fullerton Hornets. But, you know, the Wolverines fought the
- 1:35Speaker 3: hardest they could, and, you know, I'm almost just happier
- 1:37Speaker 3: than I was this week, actually. Barring the Sunday aside,
- 1:40Speaker 3: because you're going to realize what I went through.
- 1:44Speaker 4: I kind of have a feeling what you went through.
- 1:47Speaker 1: But we also have to bring up the fact that
- 1:50Speaker 1: there was something historic that happened this weekend, Brandon. There
- 1:53Speaker 1: was something historic that happened.
- 1:56Speaker 2: Was it the Atlanta Falcons winning a football game?
- 1:59Speaker 5: Oh, fuck! Come on now.
- 2:01Speaker 3: I was going to bring up something else because there
- 2:04Speaker 3: was also history out in the junior college world, at
- 2:06Speaker 3: least for your state of California.
- 2:08Speaker 1: No, I was going to say the history was that
- 2:11Speaker 1: Nova now has his first ever suit jacket.
- 2:14Speaker 2: Hey, now if only we could get that first episode
- 2:18Speaker 2: of Spongebob under his belt.
- 2:21Speaker 5: First of all, that's not happening.
- 2:22Speaker 3: And second of all, I've been compared to Mel Kiper
- 2:25Speaker 3: for some reason.
- 2:26Speaker 5: I don't understand. Oh my God.
- 2:29Speaker 4: Why can I see that now?
- 2:32Speaker 5: I don't see it. I really don't. I don't have
- 2:34Speaker 5: the bad takes that Kiper does.
- 2:37Speaker 1: Can we hear your best Kiper impersonation real quick? Give
- 2:40Speaker 1: us a scouting report. on Lamar Jackson because you're wearing
- 2:45Speaker 1: the jersey. Let's hear your best Mel Kiper, Lamar Jackson take.
- 2:51Speaker 5: Do I have to?
- 2:52Speaker 2: No, you don't have to.
- 2:54Speaker 5: Okay, because I'm not that good with draft stocks.
- 2:58Speaker 4: Well, I'll tell you this.
- 3:00Speaker 1: With Lamar Jackson, I think he's a very good running player,
- 3:05Speaker 1: but he needs to learn how to throw the deep ball.
- 3:09Speaker 1: I don't really know if he can throw the deep ball,
- 3:12Speaker 1: but he could be better if he changes his position
- 3:16Speaker 1: and becomes a running back. I think he could potentially
- 3:19Speaker 1: become a first-round draft pick if he were a running
- 3:23Speaker 1: back and not a quarterback.
- 3:26Speaker 5: Boot his man immediately.
- 3:29Speaker 1: Hold on a second, because we got some new things here.
- 3:33Speaker 1: I think this one is perfect for Brandon, right?
- 3:35Speaker 4: Oh, brother, this guy stinks! I think that was appropriate.
- 3:43Speaker 4: Was it not, Brandon?
- 3:44Speaker 2: It was. It was.
- 3:46Speaker 1: I think the only thing that's missing is I need
- 3:48Speaker 1: to get some bagpipes and some trumpeters, and I need
- 3:53Speaker 1: to become Nick Wright for you.
- 3:56Speaker 2: I will burn this place to the ground.
- 4:00Speaker 5: Alright, hopefully this episode shouldn't be three hours.
- 4:03Speaker 3: We're going to apologize for that in advance because unless
- 4:06Speaker 3: you're always in your work day for your work shifts,
- 4:10Speaker 3: we shouldn't have to be subjected to three hours of
- 4:13Speaker 3: podcast recording. We're going to just hopefully not have that
- 4:16Speaker 3: happen again.
- 4:19Speaker 2: In our defense, 30 minutes of that was an Atlanta
- 4:23Speaker 2: Falcons rant.
- 4:24Speaker 1: 21 minutes if we're being technical, but who's really.
- 4:28Speaker 4: Counting the time?
- 4:29Speaker 2: Apparently the Falcons fan.
- 4:32Speaker 4: Yep, that would be me.
- 4:34Speaker 1: Yeah, it was 21 minutes, but yes, I don't believe
- 4:40Speaker 1: we will be having something like that come from me
- 4:44Speaker 1: anymore this season.
- 4:46Speaker 2: I thought there was a bit of foreshadowing happening there.
- 4:50Speaker 5: Oh, God.
- 4:54Speaker 3: One of these weeks, we're all going to leave happy.
- 4:56Speaker 3: But so far, three weeks into the NFL season, not
- 4:58Speaker 3: everyone's left happy.
- 5:00Speaker 4: So happy together. How is the weather?
- 5:06Speaker 2: Speaking of the lyrics. Speaking of together, I feel like
- 5:11Speaker 2: there was a very well put together togetherness that happened
- 5:17Speaker 2: in Lambeau Field. Or. Go ahead. Go ahead.
- 5:22Speaker 1: Oh, I was going to say me, me, me. I
- 5:24Speaker 1: would love to talk about this game.
- 5:26Speaker 3: Yes, because probably I think for the first time we
- 5:30Speaker 3: got Talon first talking about the Falcons since they were
- 5:33Speaker 3: the Thursday night game against the Green Bay Packers. And oh, boy,
- 5:37Speaker 3: if last week's episode, the flip the script thing wasn't true,
- 5:40Speaker 3: then it might as well be true now.
- 5:42Speaker 4: You're damn right, Nova.
- 5:44Speaker 1: I mean, look, I said it when we did our
- 5:47Speaker 1: predictions of which, by the way, I will just say this.
- 5:50Speaker 1: Shout out to Nova. He won the week. He's won
- 5:53Speaker 1: two weeks, Brandon. We got to stop him. Somehow we
- 5:56Speaker 1: have to stop him. But you guys picked Green Bay
- 6:03Speaker 1: to win. And I was like, you know what? Let
- 6:06Speaker 1: me just take my Falcons to win because we were
- 6:10Speaker 1: getting Pennix back. And like I said last week, it
- 6:15Speaker 1: can't get much worse.
- 6:17Speaker 4: Can it?
- 6:18Speaker 2: Not for you, maybe, but for the Tigers, it definitely
- 6:20Speaker 2: got a whole level of worse.
- 6:22Speaker 4: Oh, my God. Did it get worse for them?
- 6:24Speaker 2: But.
- 6:25Speaker 1: I'll be honest, that first drive, because I was watching
- 6:29Speaker 1: the game while I was casting.
- 6:31Speaker 4: My online Pokemon tournament. I was doing both. I was multitasking.
- 6:37Speaker 1: And while I'm casting a match, I see the interception.
- 6:41Speaker 1: I'm like, oh, come on. You've got to be kidding me.
- 6:45Speaker 1: But I have said it. Kurt Benkert has said it.
- 6:50Speaker 1: A bunch of Falcons media people have said it. I
- 6:54Speaker 1: believe that that interception was on Jahan Dotson because he
- 6:58Speaker 1: stopped his route.
- 6:59Speaker 4: It's as very simple.
- 7:00Speaker 1: That was an anticipation throw and Jahan Dotson just stopped
- 7:04Speaker 1: the route. So of course, Xavier McKinney is going to
- 7:06Speaker 1: pick it off, but going to the rest of the
- 7:10Speaker 1: game of look, Was that roughing the passer on Michael
- 7:16Speaker 1: Penix on the third and 11 following a second and
- 7:19Speaker 1: one intentional ground? I don't even think that was intentional grounding,
- 7:22Speaker 1: if I'm going to be real with you guys. But
- 7:26Speaker 1: by letter of the law, that was intentional grounding. By
- 7:29Speaker 1: letter of the law, that was roughing the passer. And
- 7:32Speaker 1: then it's the Bajon Robinson show, much to Brandon's ecstaticness,
- 7:37Speaker 1: because I believe he has Bajon in one of his
- 7:39Speaker 1: fantasy leagues.
- 7:41Speaker 2: Oh yes. Oh yes.
- 7:42Speaker 5: Oh yes.
- 7:43Speaker 2: I do. I also, also it was in fact the
- 7:46Speaker 2: Drake London show as well.
- 7:48Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 7:48Speaker 1: That was something that I was very much happy for,
- 7:53Speaker 1: but also a little surprised at mostly.
- 7:57Speaker 4: Because I know he is the number one receiver.
- 8:00Speaker 1: I know he's Michael Penix is favorite target quote unquote
- 8:04Speaker 1: right now, but that just showcases what happens when you
- 8:07Speaker 1: have a number one receiver for your First round overall
- 8:11Speaker 1: quarterback that you drafted with the eighth overall pick much
- 8:15Speaker 1: to my dismay two years ago, but have since come
- 8:19Speaker 1: around on the young man, but. Yeah, no, Penix was
- 8:24Speaker 1: lighting it up. I mean, outside of that one interception,
- 8:27Speaker 1: he was making throws with precision, with timing. I mean,
- 8:32Speaker 1: he had either Drake Lennon or Kyle Pitts on that
- 8:35Speaker 1: long 68-yard catch and run where Drake Lennon got caught
- 8:39Speaker 1: from behind. And you could see Drake Lennon after the play. Like,
- 8:42Speaker 1: he threw the box. He was just like, fuck, I
- 8:46Speaker 1: had that, and I'm too goddamn slow. And then you
- 8:52Speaker 1: have him just bully ball the cornerback on. It was
- 8:57Speaker 1: like a comeback, right? It was almost like a back shoulder.
- 9:00Speaker 1: And I think making that second cut was stupid because
- 9:05Speaker 1: if he would have just stayed with the first cut,
- 9:06Speaker 1: I think he might have been able to beat the
- 9:09Speaker 1: safety to the end zone, but that's just me.
- 9:13Speaker 4: Defensively, holy crap.
- 9:16Speaker 2: I mean, look.
- 9:17Speaker 4: I get it.
- 9:18Speaker 1: Green Bay doesn't have a run deep running attack right now.
- 9:21Speaker 1: They literally do not have a running attack. I've never
- 9:24Speaker 1: seen a team miss a running back more than Green
- 9:28Speaker 1: Bay is right now. How the hell do you only
- 9:30Speaker 1: get 17 rushing yards in an NFL game?
- 9:35Speaker 4: Like how?
- 9:38Speaker 2: What I want to know is how, like not to
- 9:40Speaker 2: kind of take away from your point, not, How the
- 9:44Speaker 2: hell do you give up, first of all, 194 rushing
- 9:47Speaker 2: yards to a single player and then turn around and
- 9:52Speaker 2: give up the exact same amount of yardage to a receiver?
- 9:59Speaker 1: I've got no idea on that one.
- 10:02Speaker 2: That's 388 yards of offense to two players. How is
- 10:09Speaker 2: Green Bay's head coach not fired by this point? Or
- 10:13Speaker 2: their defensive coordinator.
- 10:15Speaker 1: Oh, Jonathan Gannon might be. How did Jonathan Gannick turn
- 10:19Speaker 1: the ramp up? Matt LaFleur's seat is starting to smolder
- 10:23Speaker 1: a little bit in Green Bay. Because I just find
- 10:27Speaker 1: it also funny that Atlanta fans went from booing the
- 10:32Speaker 1: team off the field to on the broadcast, you heard
- 10:36Speaker 1: Packers fans booing the Packers. And you also heard the A-T-L, A-T-L, A-T-L. Which, admittedly,
- 10:47Speaker 1: Falcons fans hated that on the old jerseys. The new jerseys,
- 10:51Speaker 1: by the way, so clean. Love that white jersey with
- 10:55Speaker 1: the black pants they wore on Thursday night. Absolutely phenomenal. But, yeah,
- 11:03Speaker 1: I mean, 35-14 for a final score. Michael Penix looked
- 11:06Speaker 1: really good, as I said.
- 11:09Speaker 4: And it's just... I mean, Nova, you can attest to this.
- 11:13Speaker 1: It's amazing what happens when you have a competent quarterback
- 11:16Speaker 1: and not a bum fuck asshole under center.
- 11:23Speaker 5: First of all, let me ask this question in all fairness.
- 11:27Speaker 3: What happened to the Cooper rush that somehow took over
- 11:29Speaker 3: with that magical run with the Cowboys back in 2023?
- 11:31Speaker 2: Was it?
- 11:32Speaker 5: Something like that, but no, he is.
- 11:41Speaker 4: He is so ass cheeks.
- 11:43Speaker 1: Like, I actually have it up here because I like
- 11:49Speaker 1: reading Barstool. I don't know how you guys are with
- 11:52Speaker 1: Barstool sports or whatever, but at least with Big Cat,
- 11:55Speaker 1: I just like seeing his computer power rankings. The Packers
- 12:02Speaker 1: for this week were in the category of– The panic
- 12:07Speaker 1: button has been smashed. I'm not even going with that,
- 12:10Speaker 1: but I'm going with what he put for the Tennessee Titans,
- 12:13Speaker 1: who we will get to in a little bit. And
- 12:17Speaker 1: the Titans were in mega ass cheeks, and it's somehow
- 12:22Speaker 1: getting worse, and football might be a worthless endeavor.
- 12:26Speaker 4: That was the Packers.
- 12:29Speaker 5: I mean, yes. Yeah, we had the whole Cooper rush thing. Like,
- 12:33Speaker 5: why was it that.
- 12:37Speaker 2: Did you have a seizure? What happened there?
- 12:38Speaker 3: I couldn't find my words, okay?
- 12:43Speaker 4: I don't know what was happening there.
- 12:45Speaker 5: Okay, so can we all disagree? Cooper Russell is a
- 12:49Speaker 5: one-team wonder?
- 12:51Speaker 2: I mean, so during that note, I actually pulled up
- 12:53Speaker 2: his stats during that four-game win streak he had with
- 12:55Speaker 2: the Cowboys in 2022. Oh, it's 2022, okay. Yeah, it's 2022. Yeah,
- 13:00Speaker 2: I looked it up. I like Googling things that I'm
- 13:02Speaker 2: not sure of personally. 2022 streak, 4-0, 65 out of 105,
- 13:09Speaker 2: 62% completion percentage, 775 passing yards, four TDs.
- 13:16Speaker 5: Okay, can we all just agree he was just a
- 13:18Speaker 5: one-team wonder?
- 13:20Speaker 1: Yes, and also I should just mention, I still remember
- 13:24Speaker 1: Michael Irvin waving the pom-poms for Cooper Rush, saying Cooper
- 13:29Speaker 1: Rush would start over Dak Prescott when Dak was healthy.
- 13:34Speaker 2: God how's he look for that one now i mean yeah.
- 13:37Speaker 3: Also during last week's rant i mean i was smiling
- 13:40Speaker 3: too because uh the two games that cooper rushed out
- 13:42Speaker 3: of the ravens oh my god it was just as
- 13:44Speaker 3: awful i was screaming for tyler huntley and well obviously
- 13:49Speaker 3: tyler huntley's a better quarterback because he put the scheme
- 13:51Speaker 3: better but you know i digress that's the whole cooper
- 13:53Speaker 3: rush dilemma i'm glad that michael penix is back and
- 13:55Speaker 3: honestly the results surprised me but i think you both
- 13:58Speaker 3: failed to note.
- 13:59Speaker 5: Something which is like how bad's the backers o-line Uh, bad.
- 14:05Speaker 1: No, I mean, look, look, I will give them a
- 14:08Speaker 1: little bit of leeway that. They were missing their starting
- 14:14Speaker 1: left guard. They were missing their starting right tackle. But again,
- 14:17Speaker 1: that doesn't excuse the fact that you have two running
- 14:22Speaker 1: backs that get 16 yards and Jordan Love gets the
- 14:27Speaker 1: other yard to make it 17.
- 14:29Speaker 4: And then you also.
- 14:31Speaker 1: Add in the fact Atlanta blocked a field goal with
- 14:34Speaker 1: only 10 people.
- 14:35Speaker 5: So that's amazing.
- 14:38Speaker 2: Yeah. To credit, like he said, he's missing two of
- 14:42Speaker 2: their very key players there. Even though their starting O-line
- 14:47Speaker 2: looked like absolute dog-ass that game, I'm really surprised they
- 14:51Speaker 2: only got that Jordan Love when they got sacked one time.
- 14:53Speaker 5: Yeah, exactly.
- 14:55Speaker 3: I mean, look, Jordan Love is not getting the protection
- 14:59Speaker 3: he needs. He's suffering for it. Forget about the whole
- 15:02Speaker 3: rushing guard debacle. How is Jordan Love getting any open
- 15:05Speaker 3: looks if he's getting pressured constantly?
- 15:08Speaker 2: Same question I asked about Andrew Luck when he was
- 15:10Speaker 2: in Indianapolis.
- 15:11Speaker 5: Or Justin Herbert right now.
- 15:13Speaker 4: Or Baker Mayfield right now.
- 15:16Speaker 3: I was going to say, speaking of Justin Herbert, I
- 15:23Speaker 3: feel like that's a good segue into this game.
- 15:26Speaker 4: I think so as well.
- 15:29Speaker 2: Because if you remember, last week we mentioned it, how
- 15:33Speaker 2: the first two games of the season, the Chargers... lost
- 15:38Speaker 2: a game 26-14. Now they lose another game, but instead
- 15:44Speaker 2: of 26-14, it's 24-16. Yeah, I was going.
- 15:47Speaker 3: To say, we only had three games in a row
- 15:51Speaker 3: to end 26-14, but no. This was also shocking because
- 15:55Speaker 3: I didn't think the Chargers would have a chance, and
- 15:57Speaker 3: somehow they did. So since they're an ACC rival, I
- 16:01Speaker 3: think we should let Brandon take this.
- 16:03Speaker 4: I think so.
- 16:08Speaker 2: So, I'm sitting over here, kind of watching this game
- 16:14Speaker 2: throughout the first quarter, and Chargers defense has showed up
- 16:19Speaker 2: to play. I'm sitting over here going, where's this been
- 16:23Speaker 2: the first two weeks of the season? And then it
- 16:26Speaker 2: turned out like, at the end of the first quarter,
- 16:28Speaker 2: it's like 10-0, and then Buffalo's like, hi, here's 10
- 16:30Speaker 2: more points.
- 16:31Speaker 5: All right, cool, now we're tied.
- 16:32Speaker 2: All right, like over the game, Buffalo had five turnovers. Like,
- 16:38Speaker 2: how do you have five turnovers, three fumbles, one from
- 16:42Speaker 2: Josh Allen, one from James Cook, one from Dalton Kincaid,
- 16:46Speaker 2: and two interceptions by Josh Allen, who, by the way,
- 16:49Speaker 2: did not throw a TD this game.
- 16:52Speaker 5: Wait, he didn't?
- 16:53Speaker 2: He did not throw a TD. He went 16 for 26,
- 16:56Speaker 2: 204 passing, and two interceptions. Wow.
- 17:00Speaker 1: I think that's lending credence to is Josh Allen the
- 17:06Speaker 1: MVP of the league?
- 17:07Speaker 4: No argument.
- 17:10Speaker 2: Because I'm sitting over here going, all right, cool. Where
- 17:11Speaker 2: did the scoring come from? James Cook, 24 carries, 154
- 17:15Speaker 2: rushing yards, one TD. Josh Allen, he didn't have passing TDs,
- 17:21Speaker 2: but he had two rushing TDs, eight carries, 22 yards,
- 17:25Speaker 2: two scores. But like, First of all, what happened to
- 17:30Speaker 2: the Chargers? How did they just collapse like this? They
- 17:33Speaker 2: started out so well. I'm like, hell yeah, five turnovers.
- 17:37Speaker 2: Hell yeah, Josh, I'm going to hang on to the ball.
- 17:40Speaker 2: Hell yeah, I guess they lose.
- 17:43Speaker 3: I was going to say, isn't this like the second
- 17:46Speaker 3: time in the Chargers history where they had a plus
- 17:49Speaker 3: turnover differential, but at least four and they still lose?
- 17:53Speaker 1: I've actually got something about that, Nova. The Los Angeles
- 17:57Speaker 1: Chargers on Sunday made unwanted NFL history according to data
- 18:03Speaker 1: from Pro Football Reference. Since 2013, there have been three
- 18:08Speaker 1: instances of a team with five or more forced turnovers
- 18:14Speaker 1: and a turnover margin of minus four or worse.
- 18:19Speaker 4: They already combined.
- 18:20Speaker 1: 381-1 straight up, and all three of those losses belong
- 18:28Speaker 1: to the Chargers.
- 18:31Speaker 3: As if they can't get anything right. Justin Herbert can't
- 18:36Speaker 3: get no protection. He only has Ladman Conkey, and when
- 18:38Speaker 3: he's not around, Quentin Johnson's dropping passes.
- 18:41Speaker 5: The old leg apparently got worse.
- 18:43Speaker 3: The defense can't stop anything. Even when they do get
- 18:46Speaker 3: the turnovers, apparently they can't take advantage of them.
- 18:48Speaker 1: Well, two things about that. First one, you got to
- 18:51Speaker 1: get his name right. It is Ladidi Mekonke.
- 18:57Speaker 4: Right, Brandon?
- 18:59Speaker 2: Mekonke.
- 19:00Speaker 4: Mekonke. You got to get that name right. That's number one.
- 19:03Speaker 1: And number two, Brandon, do you like.
- 19:08Speaker 4: A good meatball sub?
- 19:10Speaker 5: I was going to mention the Tom Brady commentary.
- 19:16Speaker 2: Somebody is out here throwing meatball subs. It might be
- 19:19Speaker 2: Justin Herbert. It might be Josh Allen. At the end
- 19:22Speaker 2: of the day, it's kind of.
- 19:24Speaker 5: Both.
- 19:24Speaker 4: But again, do you like a meatball sub?
- 19:27Speaker 2: I actually do not.
- 19:29Speaker 5: What?
- 19:30Speaker 2: I actually do not.
- 19:32Speaker 4: Oh, my God.
- 19:35Speaker 2: I don't know, but I would much rather Justin Herbert
- 19:40Speaker 2: be throwing piss missiles than then over here throwing meatball subs.
- 19:44Speaker 3: Tom Brady's getting famous on the Congressway booth and I
- 19:46Speaker 3: love it.
- 19:49Speaker 1: Admittedly, his commentary has been improving. Him and Kevin Burkhardt,
- 19:54Speaker 1: I know we had that people had that discussion that
- 19:58Speaker 1: it should have been Greg Olson, but Tom Brady's doing
- 20:01Speaker 1: a hell of a job with it. And then also,
- 20:03Speaker 1: you got to point out the fact that they showed
- 20:06Speaker 1: the rubble that is the parking lot of the old
- 20:09Speaker 1: Highmark Stadium, and Tom Brady is like, yeah, I lost
- 20:13Speaker 1: in that stadium two times. It'd leave a bitter taste
- 20:15Speaker 1: in my mouth if I didn't win there 33 other times.
- 20:18Speaker 4: Oh, my God.
- 20:19Speaker 2: I miss you. Please come back.
- 20:25Speaker 5: That's actually a perfect segue, actually.
- 20:27Speaker 1: Yes, to another goat that Brandon likes. The Cleveland Browns
- 20:32Speaker 1: led by T. Sean Watson.
- 20:36Speaker 2: If you don't mind, I would actually like to take
- 20:38Speaker 2: this one as well, and it's just purely because, one,
- 20:41Speaker 2: I am a Carolina boy. Second of all, I actually
- 20:47Speaker 2: sat here and watched this game in its entirety with...
- 20:52Speaker 2: a bunch of Carolina Panthers fans at my local game
- 20:57Speaker 2: shop on a Sunday. Instead of sitting over there because,
- 21:02Speaker 2: you know, one of my part-time jobs, as I said
- 21:04Speaker 2: over here, and I work for, you know, a local
- 21:05Speaker 2: card shop, you know, it's a special house and all
- 21:07Speaker 2: sorts of crap.
- 21:09Speaker 5: And, you know, you know what?
- 21:10Speaker 2: We're not going to do this today. We're not going
- 21:12Speaker 2: to do anything today. Hey, Brandon, can I put the
- 21:14Speaker 2: Carolina Panthers game on the TV? Yeah, if you've got
- 21:17Speaker 2: to sign up for it, dude, go for it. We
- 21:19Speaker 2: sat there and watched this from beginning to end. I'm
- 21:22Speaker 2: over here watching this like, all right, cool. What's happening
- 21:26Speaker 2: in this game? Why does Deshaun Watson look good? What
- 21:31Speaker 2: is happening? Like, first score, defensive battle. That's fine. You lose, what,
- 21:36Speaker 2: JC Horn, I think it was, at the end of
- 21:37Speaker 2: the game? That really sucks.
- 21:39Speaker 5: JC Horn is out indefinitely. Yes, he is.
- 21:40Speaker 2: Yeah, and I'll sit here like, dang, that really sucks.
- 21:43Speaker 1: It really does. I'll say this even as an NFC
- 21:46Speaker 1: South fan. You guys know I've said it. I don't
- 21:49Speaker 1: care if you're a Panthers fan. I don't care if
- 21:51Speaker 1: you're a Saints fan. I don't care if you're a
- 21:53Speaker 1: Bucs fan. Like, I will never root for a player
- 21:59Speaker 1: to get injured, especially a player like J.C.
- 22:01Speaker 3: Horn.
- 22:01Speaker 1: He is an animal for a corner. I love his
- 22:06Speaker 1: style of play.
- 22:09Speaker 2: I mean, like, honestly, not only that, but, like, I
- 22:13Speaker 2: know there's some, like, upcoming, you know, talks and whatnot
- 22:17Speaker 2: for the Panthers. of, or rather in general, rather of
- 22:21Speaker 2: Joey Porter, you know, getting traded somewhere. Honestly, now they
- 22:26Speaker 2: have a really good excuse to go after Carolina does
- 22:30Speaker 2: to go after Porter himself as well. But like, like
- 22:33Speaker 2: outside of that, the, the Cleveland defense really showed up
- 22:36Speaker 2: to play too. They just made this game like incredibly difficult.
- 22:39Speaker 2: And so did a Carolina Panthers defense. Obviously JC horns,
- 22:42Speaker 2: a very key factor of that. And again, I'm sitting
- 22:46Speaker 2: here going, I don't understand what's really going on here. Because,
- 22:50Speaker 2: you know, first quarter, 0-0. Halftime, 10-3 Cleveland. Alright, cool.
- 22:54Speaker 2: That's nice. Third quarter, I mean, Carolina shows up a
- 22:58Speaker 2: little bit more. Two field goals. Alright, cool. Now you're
- 23:00Speaker 2: still losing the game. What's going on here? And everything
- 23:03Speaker 2: comes down realistically to a failed two-point conversion by the
- 23:08Speaker 2: Carolina Panthers. And... I couldn't tell whether Bryce Young looked
- 23:16Speaker 2: good or whether he actually genuinely looked bad. I don't like,
- 23:22Speaker 2: I don't know if the Cleveland defense kind of showed
- 23:24Speaker 2: up and said, hey, we're actually here to play now.
- 23:26Speaker 5: I mean, you want to talk about the defense? Do
- 23:28Speaker 5: you want to talk about Mason Graham, the rookie?
- 23:31Speaker 2: Mason Graham?
- 23:34Speaker 5: He's a baller already.
- 23:37Speaker 2: That man had a few QB hits. He had a
- 23:39Speaker 2: couple of sacks. He had three TFLs. He had four
- 23:42Speaker 2: solo tackles. That man was all over that field. Like,
- 23:46Speaker 2: Cleveland made a good pickup in him. That defense is
- 23:50Speaker 2: kind of looking.
- 23:50Speaker 5: A little tough.
- 23:52Speaker 3: But there's also a pack that I made with Hugh
- 23:55Speaker 3: Brandon as well, because I refuse to mention his name,
- 23:57Speaker 3: but how about Harold Fannin Jr. with that go-ahead touchdown?
- 24:02Speaker 2: How about Harold Fannin Jr. with two touchdowns for the game?
- 24:06Speaker 5: Jesus!
- 24:08Speaker 2: I'm sitting over here like, who is this guy? Where
- 24:10Speaker 2: did he come from? I'm sitting over here like, I've
- 24:12Speaker 2: never heard of this man in my life. I'm in
- 24:13Speaker 2: mid-game looking it up and like, who is this guy?
- 24:17Speaker 4: Where did he come from?
- 24:18Speaker 2: 2025 round three draft pick.
- 24:22Speaker 1: And refresh my memory though, Nova, who threw that touchdown
- 24:28Speaker 1: to win the.
- 24:28Speaker 4: Game for Carolina, for Cleveland?
- 24:30Speaker 2: No.
- 24:33Speaker 3: Fortunately the person who was now 11 and 11 starting
- 24:36Speaker 3: for the Cleveland Browns Deshaun Watson.
- 24:39Speaker 4: Brandon your thoughts on Deshaun Watson.
- 24:42Speaker 2: So Harold Fenning Jr. caught some really good catches yes
- 24:47Speaker 2: he did Denzel Boston had some really good catches too
- 24:50Speaker 2: so did Raheem Sanders so what.
- 24:54Speaker 4: Are your thoughts on Deshaun Watson throwing the ball.
- 24:57Speaker 2: Around I think his receivers did a very good job
- 25:00Speaker 2: catching the ball Out of the 30 attempts that were made,
- 25:04Speaker 2: you know, 16 of them were called fights.
- 25:10Speaker 5: Oh, my God.
- 25:11Speaker 1: Ladies and gentlemen out there, if you can't figure it out,
- 25:13Speaker 1: I am trying to let Deshaun Watson get some credit
- 25:17Speaker 1: for Brandon, and.
- 25:18Speaker 4: I am failing.
- 25:20Speaker 2: Miserably, for that matter.
- 25:22Speaker 4: Miserably.
- 25:24Speaker 1: But at least flipping it real quick onto the other side,
- 25:27Speaker 1: because we're talking about quarterbacks. I'm throwing it out here
- 25:30Speaker 1: right now, and I don't care. I might be doing
- 25:32Speaker 1: the ruffling the feather segment early on this one. I
- 25:35Speaker 1: don't give a damn. Bryce Young, you are the new
- 25:39Speaker 1: Jameis Winston of the NFC South.
- 25:42Speaker 4: How the fuck?
- 25:44Speaker 1: Is he so good against the Falcons with a five
- 25:48Speaker 1: and one record, but against everybody else, he looks like
- 25:53Speaker 1: a deer in headlights and his 10 and 30 in
- 25:56Speaker 1: his career.
- 25:58Speaker 5: I have to mention his wins all over the place.
- 26:02Speaker 2: Yeah. So I was over here cackling at it.
- 26:07Speaker 1: Yeah, so I don't care about it. Also, I will
- 26:11Speaker 1: just throw it out there. Yes, he does have two wins. Well, no,
- 26:14Speaker 1: three wins over Michael Penix. The one in overtime, which
- 26:19Speaker 1: was Penix's third start, the 30-0 shutout, the game that
- 26:22Speaker 1: Penix got his ACL torn, and then he beat Cooper Rush.
- 26:29Speaker 4: So.
- 26:30Speaker 1: Take that with a grain of salt because, I mean, also,
- 26:32Speaker 1: I mean, the one loss he has to the Atlanta
- 26:35Speaker 1: Falcons in his starting career was when Desmond Ritter was
- 26:39Speaker 1: our quarterback.
- 26:42Speaker 5: I remember when Nate thought he was the answer.
- 26:44Speaker 4: I thought he was the answer.
- 26:47Speaker 2: Well, I don't know what to tell you on that one, brother. Oh,
- 26:50Speaker 2: I know.
- 26:50Speaker 5: That's nobody's fault.
- 26:51Speaker 3: It was just like he didn't like translate well into
- 26:54Speaker 3: the NFL.
- 26:55Speaker 2: Oh, no.
- 26:56Speaker 4: I ate a big steaming plate of Raven Crow. for
- 27:01Speaker 4: that take. And I'm still eating that crow.
- 27:07Speaker 3: But yeah, that is now a two-game win streak for
- 27:10Speaker 3: the Cleveland Browns, and both of them against the NFC South.
- 27:13Speaker 3: So is this an indictment on how good the Browns
- 27:16Speaker 3: truly are, or is this how bad the NFC South is?
- 27:19Speaker 2: Yes. More so the Cleveland defense, I think, is standing
- 27:24Speaker 2: up a lot. Like, on a serious note, I definitely
- 27:28Speaker 2: think the Cleveland defense is starting to show up to play.
- 27:30Speaker 2: um bryce young i think is i think him being
- 27:34Speaker 2: uh compared to james winston's actually actually pretty pretty accurate
- 27:40Speaker 2: here honest to god because like how do you have
- 27:45Speaker 2: a 15 and 33 win percentage against the entirety of
- 27:49Speaker 2: the nfl but out of those 15 wins five of
- 27:51Speaker 2: them are against the.
- 27:52Speaker 5: Falcons probably because he knows their.
- 27:55Speaker 2: Schemes I mean, by that logic, he should have known
- 27:59Speaker 2: the schemes of Tampa Bay as well, but he's 1-5
- 28:01Speaker 2: against them. Jesus!
- 28:05Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean, it.
- 28:09Speaker 1: Is what it is at this point with Bryce Young
- 28:13Speaker 1: and all that. But I will just say this, that
- 28:17Speaker 1: you did set up Nova with Cleveland being 2-0 against
- 28:20Speaker 1: the NFC South. um they only have the saints and
- 28:25Speaker 1: the falcons left do the cleveland browns do what the
- 28:28Speaker 1: new england patriots did last year and become the nfc
- 28:31Speaker 1: south champions by sweeping the division at this rate they
- 28:35Speaker 1: might now if they beat new orleans then i'll say
- 28:40Speaker 1: yes because atlanta uh historically not good against cleveland um
- 28:46Speaker 1: Where should we go next, gentlemen?
- 28:48Speaker 3: You set me up for this one, and I can't
- 28:50Speaker 3: believe I got this one. Both of y'all were wrong
- 28:52Speaker 3: about this. I was the only one who got this
- 28:54Speaker 3: pick right. The Pittsburgh Steelers beat the Cincinnati Bengals 30-27. Wait,
- 28:57Speaker 3: is that the score?
- 28:58Speaker 5: Hold on. I need to pull it up again.
- 29:02Speaker 2: 30-27. It is 30-27.
- 29:09Speaker 3: And I called it perfectly because you guys were on
- 29:11Speaker 3: the hype train of the Bengals, and I was like, Dude, historically,
- 29:14Speaker 3: the Bengals play terribly in the Pittsburgh. I don't know
- 29:16Speaker 3: how or why. Because, hey, guess what? Steeler BS happened again.
- 29:22Speaker 4: Never fails.
- 29:24Speaker 1: Well, but then again, is it Steeler's BS that usually happens?
- 29:28Speaker 1: Or is this a Ravens fan saying Steeler BS happened?
- 29:31Speaker 5: No, it's just this is routinely what's been happening with
- 29:33Speaker 5: the Steelers.
- 29:34Speaker 3: They win games they shouldn't. And this is a prime
- 29:36Speaker 3: example of them. Like Jess was a back and forth game.
- 29:39Speaker 3: Aaron Rogers finally showed up for one. So did Darnell
- 29:42Speaker 3: Washington and Roman Wilson.
- 29:44Speaker 1: If I'm not correct, I think I saw a stat that, uh,
- 29:48Speaker 1: I think it was like the first game in like what,
- 29:50Speaker 1: two or three years where the Steelers actually scored more
- 29:53Speaker 1: than seven points in the first quarter.
- 29:55Speaker 5: That is correct.
- 29:56Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 30:00Speaker 5: Joe Burrow didn't even have a bad game.
- 30:01Speaker 3: He had touchdowns to Mike Kosicki, as well as great
- 30:04Speaker 3: passing performances to G. Higgins and to Jamar Chase. The
- 30:07Speaker 3: defense was the letdown. Not only that, they had a
- 30:11Speaker 3: special teams fumble, too.
- 30:14Speaker 4: And also, I will just say this.
- 30:15Speaker 1: I mean, look, Jamar Chase with the fine that he
- 30:20Speaker 1: got last week against the Texans, man, that is some
- 30:23Speaker 1: BS with this. No fun league and the penalty celebrations
- 30:29Speaker 1: or whatever.
- 30:30Speaker 4: You saw his touch.
- 30:31Speaker 1: He did that stupid little.
- 30:34Speaker 4: Hand snake gesture or whatever it was.
- 30:39Speaker 5: Now what?
- 30:39Speaker 4: Are they going to fine him for that?
- 30:42Speaker 5: Apparently, yes.
- 30:45Speaker 1: Apparently, but also, I mean, again, yeah, Nova, you were
- 30:49Speaker 1: correct that you picked Pittsburgh and Brandon and I both
- 30:54Speaker 1: were right in the Cincinnati train. I can't believe how
- 30:57Speaker 1: bad Joe Burrow is when he's down with under eight
- 31:00Speaker 1: minutes left in the fourth quarter.
- 31:02Speaker 4: He's only won one game.
- 31:03Speaker 2: I don't know, man. I don't know. I think he
- 31:10Speaker 2: was better. During the year since he made that Super
- 31:15Speaker 2: Bowl run. And ever since Joe Burrow tore his ACL, MCL,
- 31:21Speaker 2: whichever CL he tore. He's definitely been a little worse
- 31:26Speaker 2: for the wear. He's definitely still a good QB, don't
- 31:27Speaker 2: get me wrong. I mean, obviously, 28 for 37, 282
- 31:31Speaker 2: in three TDs is great. It's a great performance for
- 31:34Speaker 2: a QB. But crunch time, he's just been kind of
- 31:37Speaker 2: faltering a lot lately.
- 31:39Speaker 3: Yeah, especially that final drive where he fumbled the ball
- 31:41Speaker 3: and the Steelers picked it up.
- 31:43Speaker 5: And again, I need to reiterate this. This is a
- 31:45Speaker 5: game the Steelers had.
- 31:46Speaker 3: No right winning, yet I had the vision thinking that
- 31:49Speaker 3: this was exactly what was.
- 31:50Speaker 5: Going to happen. And guess what? It freaking did.
- 31:53Speaker 1: And again, to the victor, go the spoils on that one.
- 31:56Speaker 1: But Novo, how did you say that the final Bengals
- 32:01Speaker 1: drive ended?
- 32:02Speaker 5: It ended on a fumble.
- 32:05Speaker 1: Boy, that's a good segue into a team that lost
- 32:09Speaker 1: one game this season by virtue of their star quarterback
- 32:13Speaker 1: fumbling on the last drive of the game. Let's go
- 32:16Speaker 1: talk about the Houston Texans and the Indianapolis Colts, the
- 32:20Speaker 1: battle of the winless. And Brandon, congratulations. You picked Indy
- 32:27Speaker 1: to win and you were the only one that was right.
- 32:30Speaker 1: Tell us about this game.
- 32:34Speaker 2: Okay, he has to be clapping for myself.
- 32:36Speaker 3: I was going to say, don't take that out of context.
- 32:42Speaker 2: I mean, it's one of the, like you said, it's
- 32:43Speaker 2: a battle of the endless. Something's got to give. Unfortunately,
- 32:46Speaker 2: I don't think the C.J. Stroud's mediocrity was going to
- 32:49Speaker 2: be the one that gave out. As it kind of
- 32:53Speaker 2: showed here.
- 32:53Speaker 5: C.J.
- 32:55Speaker 2: Stroud doesn't look like crap. He's not looked good all
- 32:58Speaker 2: season long. And there's just really nothing else I can
- 33:02Speaker 2: really attest to that. It's just If the man's turned
- 33:05Speaker 2: down contracts that have said, hey, here's this really good
- 33:09Speaker 2: monetary deal. And he's like, no, thanks. I think I'm
- 33:12Speaker 2: going to go out and prove myself, show that I'm
- 33:14Speaker 2: worth the money that I want to be worth. And
- 33:18Speaker 2: an 0-3 start doesn't seem to be the best.
- 33:22Speaker 5: Way to go about this one.
- 33:25Speaker 3: Keep in mind, this is what they're doing last year.
- 33:27Speaker 3: They started 0-3 last year as well.
- 33:30Speaker 4: And they did make the playoffs.
- 33:33Speaker 2: I mean, and that's all well and good, but C.J.
- 33:36Speaker 2: Stroud still looked better last year during that start than
- 33:39Speaker 2: he did this year. So did their defense.
- 33:44Speaker 1: And again, I mean, it's amazing at how they've turned
- 33:48Speaker 1: it around the last two weeks with their defense. Because again,
- 33:51Speaker 1: after week one, everybody is like, oh my God, is
- 33:54Speaker 1: D'Amico Ryan's defense finally starting to crumble because it gave
- 33:57Speaker 1: up 36 points to the Buffalo Bills.
- 34:00Speaker 4: And yeah, look at it.
- 34:01Speaker 1: It took 19 to win this game. And what I forget,
- 34:07Speaker 1: what was the final score in week two?
- 34:09Speaker 4: I think it was like, what?
- 34:11Speaker 2: Like 26.
- 34:13Speaker 5: Oh, right.
- 34:13Speaker 4: The Bengals.
- 34:14Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 34:15Speaker 1: So, I mean, when you think about it, so they
- 34:17Speaker 1: have 36, 20 and now 19. So that's 65. 65.
- 34:31Speaker 4: Yeah, 65.
- 34:31Speaker 2: 65 points.
- 34:33Speaker 4: No, 75.
- 34:33Speaker 5: 75.
- 34:34Speaker 4: Ah, I can't do it. So that's an average of
- 34:36Speaker 4: 25 points per game.
- 34:38Speaker 1: Okay, kind of problematic in today's NFL. But conversely, I mean, look,
- 34:45Speaker 1: if you're only giving up 25 points per game, I mean,
- 34:51Speaker 1: it still shows that your defense is kind of in
- 34:54Speaker 1: that bend but don't break mode.
- 34:57Speaker 5: Yeah, Will Anderson was trying to win that game on
- 34:59Speaker 5: his own.
- 34:59Speaker 4: Yeah, but how about Sauce Gardner, man?
- 35:05Speaker 1: He gets his first win on American soil since he
- 35:09Speaker 1: got traded to the Colts from the Jets.
- 35:13Speaker 2: That trend had a break sometime. And honestly, to be
- 35:17Speaker 2: completely honest with you, I think this game would have
- 35:19Speaker 2: been a bigger blowout for the Colts. Had Daniel Jones
- 35:25Speaker 2: not fumbled the ball three times.
- 35:29Speaker 5: I think two of those were to Will Anderson.
- 35:32Speaker 2: I think so as well. But like, you know, to
- 35:36Speaker 2: kind of to attest to what Talon was saying is that,
- 35:41Speaker 2: you know, the defense isn't that kind of bend on breaks.
- 35:43Speaker 2: A very Matt Patricia style defense. If you guys remember
- 35:46Speaker 2: how Matt Patricia coached New England.
- 35:49Speaker 5: Oh, boy. Oh, boy.
- 35:51Speaker 4: Do I remember how Matt Patricia coached the defense?
- 35:57Speaker 2: I bet you do, there, 28-3.
- 36:01Speaker 4: You knew it was coming, right, Nova? You knew it
- 36:03Speaker 4: was coming.
- 36:04Speaker 5: Actually, you know I didn't.
- 36:07Speaker 2: At the same time, I mean, granted, C.J. Strutt has
- 36:09Speaker 2: not looked the best. He's not had the best decision-making.
- 36:13Speaker 2: At the same time, I would also like to put
- 36:16Speaker 2: some of that blame on that Texans O-line as well.
- 36:19Speaker 2: Because in the first three games of the season, C.J.
- 36:22Speaker 2: Stroud has already been sacked 10 times. He got sacked
- 36:28Speaker 2: three times versus Buffalo and Indy and four times versus Cincinnati.
- 36:33Speaker 2: Against Cincinnati, he threw the ball 55 times and did
- 36:37Speaker 2: not have a TD that entire game.
- 36:39Speaker 5: At least he didn't have a pick that game.
- 36:42Speaker 2: He hasn't had a pick at all yet.
- 36:44Speaker 3: I mean, that's something for him, I guess.
- 36:47Speaker 2: Go ahead.
- 36:49Speaker 1: I was going to say, and I think they're getting
- 36:51Speaker 1: Nico Collins, or did they get Nico Collins back this game?
- 36:55Speaker 1: Because I think he was either coming back week three
- 36:57Speaker 1: or he was coming back week four.
- 36:59Speaker 2: Nico was not in this game.
- 37:02Speaker 4: Okay, so then it was most likely week four then.
- 37:05Speaker 5: I also want to point out something funny I saw
- 37:07Speaker 5: on Twitter.com.
- 37:08Speaker 3: I'm not sure how you guys are familiar with MNJTV
- 37:10Speaker 3: on YouTube, the Poketuber. He, after this game, he's a
- 37:14Speaker 3: Texans fan. He said, fire everyone on the coaching staff.
- 37:20Speaker 4: Oh, yes, I did see that.
- 37:24Speaker 3: I don't think Domingo Reigns is the problem, but Nick
- 37:26Speaker 3: Haley might be a different story.
- 37:28Speaker 2: I think there's a lot of problems that they have
- 37:32Speaker 2: to figure out right now, and a lot of it
- 37:33Speaker 2: starts with that O-line.
- 37:37Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, it definitely is something to monitor.
- 37:43Speaker 5: And, I.
- 37:46Speaker 1: Mean, I will say, though, with MNJ TV on the
- 37:49Speaker 1: side of firing every coach, I mean, again, D'Amico Ryans
- 37:53Speaker 1: is a really good defensive-minded head coach.
- 37:56Speaker 4: Who are you going to get to replace him?
- 38:01Speaker 2: Who are you going to get to replace him?
- 38:03Speaker 4: Exactly. I don't think there's somebody out there.
- 38:07Speaker 5: You can honestly ask the same question about my level four.
- 38:12Speaker 1: But, I mean, it's Green Bay, so I think people
- 38:15Speaker 1: would be more apt to want to go to Titletown
- 38:19Speaker 1: and be the head coach of the Packers. But you
- 38:25Speaker 1: did bring up an interesting point, Brandon, that– or I
- 38:28Speaker 1: forget if it was Brandon or it was.
- 38:29Speaker 4: Nova, that CJ Stratton has not thrown an interception this year.
- 38:33Speaker 4: You know who else hasn't thrown an interception this year?
- 38:38Speaker 2: No.
- 38:39Speaker 4: Jared Goff.
- 38:42Speaker 5: Wow. All right, so we're going Jets-Lions, sure.
- 38:48Speaker 1: Yes, we're going Jets-Lions because I've got to say, even
- 38:52Speaker 1: though we all got this right, we all correctly predicted
- 38:55Speaker 1: Detroit to win, man, the Jets are balling right now.
- 38:59Speaker 4: They are actually playing some good ball.
- 39:01Speaker 5: I told you guys this game would be a little ugly.
- 39:04Speaker 5: I told you.
- 39:07Speaker 2: I i'm still really impressed by geno smith right now
- 39:12Speaker 2: like that man is balling this season see what happens
- 39:18Speaker 2: when he's held back by pete carroll now we'll get
- 39:22Speaker 2: into that one in a second but like i mean
- 39:25Speaker 2: granted he only has granted you know Gina only has
- 39:28Speaker 2: four TVs on the season, you know, no interceptions. He
- 39:31Speaker 2: still looks really good. He had a three TV game
- 39:34Speaker 2: with only six incompletions and got sacked five times.
- 39:40Speaker 1: And also, I mean, how about Kenyan Sadiq with his
- 39:43Speaker 1: first career touchdown being a crazy, crazy, touchdown where he
- 39:48Speaker 1: stretched out. I think what was a third and 16
- 39:51Speaker 1: or something like that.
- 39:52Speaker 2: So that was a crazy catch. It's easy catch of
- 39:55Speaker 2: the year so far.
- 39:56Speaker 4: I mean, I'm, I'd probably still do the Jamar chase
- 40:00Speaker 4: against Houston.
- 40:01Speaker 2: And No, this one was great. It was cool.
- 40:06Speaker 4: It's so close right now.
- 40:08Speaker 1: It's like one of those where I think either one
- 40:11Speaker 1: of those are the front runners in the clubhouse, but
- 40:14Speaker 1: I would be perfectly fine. If Kenyon Sadiqs wins over
- 40:18Speaker 1: Jamar chase. Also, I can't believe we didn't even bring
- 40:20Speaker 1: that up in the Cincinnati Pittsburgh game. How the hell
- 40:25Speaker 1: did T Higgins catch that ball sitting on his ass?
- 40:28Speaker 4: I know.
- 40:34Speaker 2: I think it's just one of those things where the
- 40:38Speaker 2: defense is like, oh, the play's over, and they just
- 40:40Speaker 2: let it happen.
- 40:42Speaker 4: Yeah, they just let it happen.
- 40:44Speaker 1: And then, I mean, again, Jared Goff, he is running
- 40:47Speaker 1: the Lions offense extremely well. And I know this is
- 40:52Speaker 1: a thing that people do. I'm one of the people
- 40:56Speaker 1: out there. I respect what he does in Detroit. But
- 41:01Speaker 1: number zero is not better than number seven in Atlanta.
- 41:05Speaker 1: It's a 1A and 1B, and the 1A is in Atlanta.
- 41:12Speaker 2: Where's my boo button?
- 41:15Speaker 4: Oh, you mean this one? Oh, brother, this guy stinks!
- 41:23Speaker 2: Close enough.
- 41:26Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean, look, say what you will.
- 41:28Speaker 1: If I'm not mistaken, I think I saw that Jameer
- 41:32Speaker 1: and Bajan are like one and two for Offensive Player
- 41:34Speaker 1: of the Year, which admittedly, I'm okay with that, but
- 41:39Speaker 1: I was really thinking that JSN right now would have
- 41:42Speaker 1: been the frontrunner.
- 41:46Speaker 5: Like, come on.
- 41:47Speaker 3: Of course, we're going to get that thing suited up,
- 41:49Speaker 3: but here are my two cents about this game. First
- 41:51Speaker 3: of all, I said it would be ugly because The
- 41:53Speaker 3: Lions' secondary is as bad as they are. They gave
- 41:55Speaker 3: it 24 to the Jets. Of course, three throwing touchdowns
- 41:58Speaker 3: for Geno Smith. That's not really good. But they scored
- 42:01Speaker 3: at least 30 points in each one of their games,
- 42:03Speaker 3: including that loss to Buffalo and that overtime win against
- 42:06Speaker 3: the Saints.
- 42:07Speaker 5: And it worries me because I.
- 42:11Speaker 3: Don't think this is a sustainable way to win games.
- 42:14Speaker 3: Because if you have to consistently put 30 points on
- 42:17Speaker 3: the board, what happens when you don't?
- 42:21Speaker 2: Same thing that we thought about Josh Allen. It's like,
- 42:22Speaker 2: what happens when Josh Allen can't do Josh Allen things?
- 42:25Speaker 5: They still win.
- 42:26Speaker 2: Somehow. That was just from the Chargers choking. That wasn't
- 42:31Speaker 2: the miracle of Buffalo or Josh Allen. That was the
- 42:33Speaker 2: miracle of the choke artist that the Chargers currently are.
- 42:37Speaker 5: Yeah, but what does it say about the Lions if
- 42:39Speaker 5: they can't score 30?
- 42:39Speaker 2: Well, that's a lot about Dan Campbell, I think.
- 42:44Speaker 4: Well, I mean, you got to bite kneecaps. Remember, always
- 42:46Speaker 4: bite the kneecap.
- 42:49Speaker 2: Burn into a little pit bull, chihuahua, something or other.
- 42:52Speaker 2: Bite them. Chomp them.
- 42:53Speaker 3: Yeah, but... That's basically that taken care of. But let's...
- 42:57Speaker 3: You know, we brought out JSM. This was honestly, I think,
- 43:00Speaker 3: one of the shockers in the early window. Seattle and Washington.
- 43:04Speaker 5: This game did not go the way.
- 43:05Speaker 4: Big shocker. That's a big shocker.
- 43:09Speaker 3: But it wasn't the shocker, in my opinion. But, you know,
- 43:13Speaker 3: I mentioned this because obviously JSM had another great game.
- 43:15Speaker 3: Sam Darnold returned from injury.
- 43:17Speaker 5: And unfortunately.
- 43:19Speaker 3: Marcus Mariota was the star here.
- 43:23Speaker 4: Oh, yes, he was.
- 43:27Speaker 1: It was amazing how Mariota, like, look, I'm not even
- 43:32Speaker 1: going to, I think the term is cosign this argument,
- 43:39Speaker 1: but it's damn near close that Marcus Mariota might be
- 43:43Speaker 1: running the commander's offense better than Jaden Daniels can.
- 43:50Speaker 2: It's, uh, man, it's something. I honestly haven't thought Mariota
- 43:55Speaker 2: looked that good since he graduated from Oregon.
- 43:59Speaker 3: I have my comments about it because I'm a local
- 44:01Speaker 3: product for Jaden Daniels, but yeah, this is something.
- 44:04Speaker 5: And again, it alludes to last week about when he
- 44:06Speaker 5: got injured and only Mariota was there for him.
- 44:08Speaker 3: It's like, that honestly makes me think that Mariota had
- 44:12Speaker 3: Jaden's back.
- 44:16Speaker 2: Mariota is coming from a school of leadership and a genuinely...
- 44:22Speaker 2: English is really hard today. A good football program. Look,
- 44:27Speaker 2: I've been talking all day long. It's been a rough day.
- 44:32Speaker 2: But Mariota looks really good this game. Granted, he was
- 44:37Speaker 2: just over 500 in his passing, but three TDs to
- 44:41Speaker 2: go along with it was really good. I was... Honest
- 44:45Speaker 2: to God, not expecting this game to be a shootout
- 44:47Speaker 2: like it was.
- 44:49Speaker 1: I wasn't either, but I'll also say this with Sam
- 44:53Speaker 1: Darnold because, look, we'll be talking about some ugly interceptions
- 45:00Speaker 1: in a little bit, but my God, that pick six
- 45:04Speaker 1: that he threw to the linebacker, I forget his name,
- 45:09Speaker 1: but if I'm a picker, I think.
- 45:12Speaker 4: I think that's who it was.
- 45:13Speaker 1: But if I recall, I think he barely played like
- 45:16Speaker 1: five snaps in his life or something like that in
- 45:19Speaker 1: the NFL. And he has a pick six and he
- 45:23Speaker 1: has 70,000 Screaming Commanders fans losing their absolute freaking minds
- 45:30Speaker 1: over that. And... I mean, again, shout outs to him.
- 45:34Speaker 1: I feel bad for the commander. So they did lose
- 45:37Speaker 1: a linebacker in this game. Now he's probably out for
- 45:40Speaker 1: the year with a fracture in his neck. And that's
- 45:44Speaker 1: scary in and of itself.
- 45:48Speaker 2: So fun fact, because again, we like Googling things here.
- 45:53Speaker 2: Kane Medrano has played 44 defensive snaps in his NFL career.
- 46:01Speaker 2: Every single one came from a single game against the
- 46:04Speaker 2: Seattle Seahawks, September 27th, 2026. So that was.
- 46:09Speaker 5: His first game.
- 46:10Speaker 2: That was his first NFL game.
- 46:12Speaker 3: And he just decided to line it up against his
- 46:14Speaker 3: defending Super Bowl champions.
- 46:16Speaker 2: Yup.
- 46:17Speaker 5: Which, by the way, ends the 12-game winning streak for
- 46:19Speaker 5: the Seahawks.
- 46:21Speaker 2: Praise God.
- 46:22Speaker 4: Praise God.
- 46:24Speaker 2: And fuck Sam Darnold.
- 46:26Speaker 5: Anyway, hi.
- 46:27Speaker 4: What?
- 46:30Speaker 5: Can't believe you're saying that.
- 46:32Speaker 2: I can and I will.
- 46:35Speaker 1: But in all fairness, let's go from the good and
- 46:41Speaker 1: the bad to the worse.
- 46:43Speaker 4: No, I was going to say, let's go to Kansas
- 46:45Speaker 4: City and Miami.
- 46:46Speaker 5: That's where I was going to.
- 46:49Speaker 1: Yeah, let's talk about Nick Wright and Brandon's favorite person
- 46:53Speaker 1: in the media, Nick Wright's team, the Kansas City Chiefs.
- 46:57Speaker 2: Boo this man.
- 46:59Speaker 4: Boo.
- 47:01Speaker 2: I started Patrick Mahomes in fantasy because I thought this
- 47:06Speaker 2: was going to be a blowout by the Chiefs.
- 47:09Speaker 5: What happened? No, no, brother.
- 47:12Speaker 2: What game did we watch? Because this was not a...
- 47:14Speaker 2: It's a 14-point gap.
- 47:18Speaker 1: Wasn't the spread 14?
- 47:23Speaker 2: I'm not quite sure.
- 47:23Speaker 5: We need that at some point.
- 47:30Speaker 2: It opened up at KC minus 7. Spread was 10.
- 47:33Speaker 5: Okay, so they still covered, but.
- 47:44Speaker 1: I think the bigger story was on the side of
- 47:47Speaker 1: the Dolphins because, again, we have said a lot about them.
- 47:51Speaker 1: Brandon has said a lot about them because of the
- 47:53Speaker 1: division opponent. But, oh, my God, I feel so bad
- 47:57Speaker 1: for Malik Willis, and I feel so bad for Dolphins
- 48:00Speaker 1: fans and that fan base because Devon H.
- 48:03Speaker 4: Chan is out for the rest of the year with
- 48:05Speaker 4: a torn ACL.
- 48:09Speaker 2: I hate it when anybody tears your ACL, man, because look,
- 48:11Speaker 2: at the end of the day, and I said this before,
- 48:13Speaker 2: I'll say it again. At the end of the day,
- 48:15Speaker 2: this is their livelihood. Do they make an obscene amount
- 48:18Speaker 2: of money sometimes? Yeah, absolutely. I'm sure he's going to
- 48:22Speaker 2: be fine for the season. I'm sure he's got some
- 48:24Speaker 2: sort of benefits or insurance package that helps cover him
- 48:26Speaker 2: in a situation like this. But at the end of
- 48:28Speaker 2: the day, even if they don't have it, this is
- 48:30Speaker 2: their livelihood. He's going to be out for the next year.
- 48:34Speaker 2: I mean, one, this is a game that he's obviously
- 48:36Speaker 2: dedicated and loves to play full-time. At the same time,
- 48:38Speaker 2: this is how he puts food on the table. What
- 48:41Speaker 2: us other poor people, us little tiny people like to
- 48:45Speaker 2: try to do ourselves. I hate it when anybody gets hurt.
- 48:50Speaker 2: I really do, because some of these can be just
- 48:52Speaker 2: absolutely career-ending.
- 48:55Speaker 1: Yeah, they definitely can be career-ending, but Devon H. Ann
- 49:00Speaker 1: is probably out. For the rest of the year, who
- 49:02Speaker 1: knows how long it's going to be before he comes back.
- 49:06Speaker 1: And Godspeed to Malik Willis because we saw how bad
- 49:10Speaker 1: Jordan Love was without a running game.
- 49:12Speaker 4: How is Miami going to be without a running game?
- 49:15Speaker 3: Apparently, all right, Cause Malik Willis has is like receivers
- 49:18Speaker 3: at least like in sync for the most part.
- 49:24Speaker 2: I mean, I don't know that I would use the
- 49:26Speaker 2: term in sync because they've still got a lot of
- 49:30Speaker 2: work to do to be considered below average in sync.
- 49:34Speaker 5: In my opinion, they're still young. You're still developing.
- 49:37Speaker 2: It matters. Yeah, but still.
- 49:41Speaker 1: Yeah, but you know who isn't developing Nova?
- 49:48Speaker 5: Oh, yeah.
- 49:48Speaker 3: I thought we were going to talk about this game
- 49:50Speaker 3: a little longer, but I guess to further avoid the
- 49:53Speaker 3: Travis Kelsey thing, let's go ahead and go to Giants Titans.
- 49:57Speaker 5: In East Rutherford, New Jersey.
- 49:59Speaker 1: That is exactly where I was going with because I
- 50:03Speaker 1: was the only one who picked the Giants to win
- 50:05Speaker 1: this game.
- 50:07Speaker 4: And I hadn't.
- 50:08Speaker 1: No confidence that the Giants were going to win this game,
- 50:12Speaker 1: and I am even more embarrassed that the Giants won
- 50:17Speaker 1: this game because holy crap, was that a stinker.
- 50:21Speaker 5: Did you see the port-a-potty thing in the weather?
- 50:25Speaker 4: Oh, you mean Cam Ward?
- 50:28Speaker 3: There was an actual, well, we'll get to that later,
- 50:31Speaker 3: but there was actually an actual video where it's like
- 50:32Speaker 3: a couple of port-a-potties being washed away in the East Rutherford,
- 50:34Speaker 3: New Jersey rain outside MetLife.
- 50:38Speaker 4: Oh my God.
- 50:40Speaker 3: And not only that, Jameis Winston had another pregame specialty
- 50:45Speaker 3: on CBS. If y'all never got a chance to look
- 50:48Speaker 3: at it, Jameis Winston is a national treasure.
- 50:51Speaker 4: He is a national treasure.
- 50:53Speaker 1: And I mean, after the game, like the whole thing
- 50:55Speaker 1: where it's like, we scored 12 points.
- 50:58Speaker 4: I'm a quarterback.
- 50:59Speaker 1: Jackson Dart is a quarterback. Jackson Dart wears number six.
- 51:02Speaker 1: Six times two equals 12.
- 51:04Speaker 4: And I'm like, I mean, he's not wrong.
- 51:08Speaker 2: He's not wrong. You know what else is a national treasure? What?
- 51:14Speaker 2: Odell Beckham Jr., who's no longer with the Giants.
- 51:19Speaker 3: He got cut on today's recording. He got cut on
- 51:22Speaker 3: September 29th.
- 51:23Speaker 5: He got cut.
- 51:24Speaker 4: I can't even believe that.
- 51:26Speaker 1: Although my brother, Brandon, because again, my brother joins you
- 51:30Speaker 1: in Patriots land up there in Foxborough and all that.
- 51:35Speaker 1: He said that New England should take a flyer on Odell.
- 51:38Speaker 4: Do you agree?
- 51:40Speaker 2: I do not agree. If this man cannot earn, because
- 51:45Speaker 2: according to the reports, It's because Odell Beckham is struggling
- 51:50Speaker 2: to earn consistent snaps within the already depleted receiver rotation.
- 51:55Speaker 2: If a 33-year-old receiver can't earn a rotation on the
- 51:59Speaker 2: New York Giants depleted receiving room, why would he do
- 52:05Speaker 2: well in New England? Not saying, you know, systematically, you know,
- 52:11Speaker 2: but like, if he's already having trouble being a security
- 52:15Speaker 2: blanket for anybody else's QB, you know, not named Jackson
- 52:20Speaker 2: Dart because, you know, RIP his knee. Then like, why,
- 52:25Speaker 2: how is he going to do good when our QB
- 52:26Speaker 2: is already struggling? I don't, I don't think, I don't
- 52:33Speaker 2: think we're going to make a, the only thing that
- 52:35Speaker 2: we need to do is we need to start securing
- 52:37Speaker 2: like a backup QB, but anyway, we can get into
- 52:39Speaker 2: that later.
- 52:40Speaker 3: Yeah, speaking of struggling quarterbacks, both Cam Ward and Jameis
- 52:43Speaker 3: Winston struggled in the rain.
- 52:45Speaker 4: Oh, boy, did they struggle in the rain to the
- 52:49Speaker 4: point where... I mean, if.
- 52:52Speaker 5: We keep in a book right now, we ass. We
- 52:56Speaker 5: need to have an actual discussion about Cam Ward, though.
- 52:59Speaker 5: We actually do.
- 53:01Speaker 1: I've got a great word for Cam Ward, Nova. I've
- 53:06Speaker 1: got a great word for him. I was really waiting
- 53:14Speaker 1: for him to be like, and what's that word?
- 53:17Speaker 2: What is that word?
- 53:17Speaker 5: I was waiting on you for it. Bust! And I
- 53:23Speaker 5: don't even think it was his fault.
- 53:24Speaker 3: I think he's in the bust category because he was
- 53:26Speaker 3: never presented a good opportunity because.
- 53:28Speaker 5: The Titans suck.
- 53:30Speaker 1: The Titans may suck, but he is awful right now.
- 53:36Speaker 1: The guy literally snapped a ball off. And then his
- 53:41Speaker 1: body language, he was just, all right.
- 53:46Speaker 5: I saw that play.
- 53:47Speaker 1: I mean, again, we've got one more game left in
- 53:52Speaker 1: the one o'clock window that we're going to be reviewing.
- 53:55Speaker 4: And again, it'll be with Brandon and everything.
- 53:58Speaker 1: But it's kind of fitting that We're going to be
- 54:01Speaker 1: talking about the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Jaguars owner owns
- 54:06Speaker 1: a wrestling company. And that wrestling company has a guy
- 54:10Speaker 1: whose whole gimmick is being a nonchalant, lazy wrestler who
- 54:15Speaker 1: sticks his hands in his pockets. And that's what Cam
- 54:18Speaker 1: Ward looked like on that play. He looked like fucking
- 54:22Speaker 1: Orange Cassidy.
- 54:25Speaker 2: Orange Cassidy is crazy.
- 54:26Speaker 1: Look, again, say what you will about AEW. Say what
- 54:34Speaker 1: you will about that company. I have had my reservations
- 54:38Speaker 1: on the company. I very much enjoy competition for the wrestlers.
- 54:42Speaker 1: I enjoy competition for the industry. I think their commentary
- 54:46Speaker 1: team needs to go out back like old Yeller, especially
- 54:51Speaker 1: Tony Schiavone, uh, But say what you will about them
- 54:57Speaker 1: as a company. They get over. But when you have
- 55:01Speaker 1: an NFL quarterback acting like a wrestler, like that's an issue,
- 55:08Speaker 1: in my opinion. That's an issue. And then the interception
- 55:11Speaker 1: that he threw at the end of the game from
- 55:14Speaker 1: the seven-yard.
- 55:15Speaker 4: Line, he threw it at the linebacker.
- 55:19Speaker 3: Yeah, like he could have just brought it out of
- 55:21Speaker 3: bounds or ran out of bounds.
- 55:22Speaker 5: Like what is the decision-making? And to go further on
- 55:27Speaker 5: that one, he was asked about that throw in the
- 55:29Speaker 5: press conference.
- 55:29Speaker 3: And thanks to Teron Davenport on Twitter, I'll quote from
- 55:34Speaker 3: him directly. Cam Ward said he didn't feel the final
- 55:37Speaker 3: throw was reckless. He saw Javon Holland flash in front
- 55:40Speaker 3: of Alec Aomenor. Ward insisted he just needed to throw
- 55:44Speaker 3: a ball a little higher.
- 55:45Speaker 5: That's literally what he said.
- 55:49Speaker 4: Brandon, do you want to take this?
- 55:55Speaker 2: I'd rather not.
- 55:58Speaker 4: Wait, what's going on?
- 55:59Speaker 3: Are we not talking about the Cam Ward thing? Like
- 56:01Speaker 3: how he's not owning up to his accountability or something?
- 56:03Speaker 5: Or what's going on?
- 56:04Speaker 2: Cam Ward is... Alright, personally... Yeah, exactly that. Exactly that.
- 56:11Speaker 2: So I think from how Cam Ward has looked thus far,
- 56:16Speaker 2: he looks really, really bad. But at the same time,
- 56:21Speaker 2: I don't think he's White had enough experience in the
- 56:27Speaker 2: NFL to officially be considered a bust, but he's right
- 56:31Speaker 2: there at it.
- 56:34Speaker 5: As I say, I don't think all of it's his fault.
- 56:37Speaker 3: He is a part of the problem, but I think
- 56:39Speaker 3: the Titans' roster is just not good.
- 56:43Speaker 1: I mean, yes, the Titans' roster is not good, and
- 56:46Speaker 1: I think I'll close on this. Regardless of me calling
- 56:51Speaker 1: Cam Ward a bust, I do not condone idiots on
- 56:57Speaker 1: social media going after Cam Ward and going after Cam
- 57:01Speaker 1: Ward's family. Like you have to be the lowest of
- 57:05Speaker 1: the low to do shit like that.
- 57:08Speaker 2: I don't understand why people do that. I genuinely don't.
- 57:12Speaker 3: It's called hate viewing it. Everybody loves doing it for
- 57:15Speaker 3: some reason.
- 57:16Speaker 4: Like Brandon does with the Patriots.
- 57:21Speaker 5: Okay. That's uncalled for, man.
- 57:33Speaker 2: Come on. Okay.
- 57:34Speaker 5: All right.
- 57:34Speaker 2: All right. I'll let this one slide for the easy
- 57:38Speaker 2: 28-3 softballs.
- 57:40Speaker 3: Actually, fun fact, that game was 28-3 at one point, Patriots-Jaguars.
- 57:44Speaker 4: Yes, it was.
- 57:45Speaker 2: And....
- 57:47Speaker 1: I think either the broadcast said it or I saw
- 57:50Speaker 1: it on Twitter where somebody was like, the Patriots have
- 57:52Speaker 1: the Jaguars right where they want them.
- 57:57Speaker 2: It's so fucking... Are we segwaying into this officially? Because
- 58:01Speaker 2: I feel like we're segwaying into this officially.
- 58:02Speaker 4: Yes, yes, talent forced it. Yay!
- 58:06Speaker 2: Okay, so I called this. I called it. I hate
- 58:10Speaker 2: that I called it, but I called it. I literally said,
- 58:15Speaker 2: If Drake May does not get his shit together, that
- 58:20Speaker 2: the Jaguars were going to run us the fuck over.
- 58:25Speaker 2: Let me take a peek at the score here. 35
- 58:28Speaker 2: to 6. Yep. Yeah, they ran us the fuck over.
- 58:31Speaker 2: The first quarter defense going to halftime down 14-3. In
- 58:36Speaker 2: the third quarter down 28-3. Nice. That sounds familiar.
- 58:42Speaker 1: I didn't even realize that it was 28-3 in the
- 58:45Speaker 1: third quarter.
- 58:47Speaker 2: Yes, it was in fact 28-3 at the end of
- 58:49Speaker 2: the third quarter. Also, and I kind of alluded to
- 58:53Speaker 2: this whenever I asked a particular question in our Discord chat.
- 58:59Speaker 2: Nova will know what I'm referring to. I asked Nova
- 59:02Speaker 2: for a particular timeline of which I could make a
- 59:05Speaker 2: particular comparison. And I think now's a really good time
- 59:09Speaker 2: to make that comparison. So I'm really starting to fall
- 59:13Speaker 2: off the Drake May bandwagon here, and I say bandwagon
- 59:15Speaker 2: because I really, at first, whenever we drafted Drake May,
- 59:19Speaker 2: after watching him at UNC, yes, he was great at UNC,
- 59:24Speaker 2: but I did not feel like he would transition very
- 59:26Speaker 2: well into the NFL. First season in the NFL, eh,
- 59:30Speaker 2: We made playoffs. He didn't look that great. And then,
- 59:33Speaker 2: you know, last year we had the Super Bowl run.
- 59:35Speaker 5: Awesome. The Patriots didn't make the playoffs the first year.
- 59:38Speaker 2: They went to, like, the 4-13. Anyway, you know what
- 59:41Speaker 2: I mean. The first, like, full season, it's fine. I'm fine.
- 59:44Speaker 2: I'm getting to my point. You know, we made playoffs
- 59:46Speaker 2: this season with Drake May. And then we make a
- 59:49Speaker 2: Super Bowl run.
- 59:51Speaker 5: Awesome. Great.
- 59:52Speaker 2: He actually looks kind of okay. He actually had some
- 59:57Speaker 2: pretty smart football at moments and times. I'm going to
- 1:00:03Speaker 2: make a reference that only Talon and I are actually
- 1:00:05Speaker 2: going to, well, maybe more so me than anything, but
- 1:00:09Speaker 2: I think that Talon and I can understand and will
- 1:00:12Speaker 2: have witnessed it more than Nova has. I would like
- 1:00:19Speaker 2: to make the comparison that Drake may very much so,
- 1:00:26Speaker 2: in a very angry negative fashion coming from a Patriots fan,
- 1:00:30Speaker 2: Looks like fucking Trent Dilfer from the 2000 Baltimore Ravens. No,
- 1:00:41Speaker 2: but that is why I asked you that question that
- 1:00:43Speaker 2: I asked.
- 1:00:44Speaker 5: You the other night.
- 1:00:45Speaker 4: Don't worry.
- 1:00:46Speaker 5: I've never seen Trent Dilfer play, but what I've heard.
- 1:00:48Speaker 2: You are not missing anything. You're not missing anything because
- 1:00:52Speaker 2: that Super Bowl... Hold on, hold on. It's... Yeah, it's
- 1:00:56Speaker 2: my turn right now. Brent Dill for that Super Bowl,
- 1:01:02Speaker 2: that Super Bowl year when he had the team of
- 1:01:04Speaker 2: destiny on defense, 12 for 2,553 yards and one TD,
- 1:01:10Speaker 2: and he fumbled. And in that Super Bowl where the
- 1:01:14Speaker 2: Ravens won 34 to 7 off of that defense, and
- 1:01:18Speaker 2: I'm over here like Drake Mays lucky to muster 199
- 1:01:21Speaker 2: yards and two TDs against the fucking Jacksonville Jaguars. Fucking
- 1:01:25Speaker 2: Trevor Lawrence made our defense his bitch.
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: Yeah, thanks a lot.
- 1:01:29Speaker 5: They gave me negative points in fantasy again.
- 1:01:31Speaker 2: I don't know why you started it, because I had
- 1:01:34Speaker 2: absolutely no confidence in them. Because the Texas defense looked
- 1:01:38Speaker 2: pretty bad.
- 1:01:38Speaker 4: This is fine, but Drake May looks like shit.
- 1:01:42Speaker 5: It's okay to be wrong.
- 1:01:44Speaker 2: No, it's like... Drake may very much. So it looks
- 1:01:49Speaker 2: like Trent Dilfer and I'm not happy about it.
- 1:01:53Speaker 5: I need to bring this up. I need to bring
- 1:01:54Speaker 5: more fuel to the fire.
- 1:01:55Speaker 3: I mean, I saw a random report on Twitter that
- 1:01:58Speaker 3: Drake may and Mac Jones are the same quarterback.
- 1:02:01Speaker 2: Oh yeah.
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: That was the blind reveal on first things first. When
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: Nick Wright was messing with Kevin Wilds, despite Kevin, because
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: Kevin was used the door of destiny announced the door
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: of panic.
- 1:02:16Speaker 2: So, you know what? Hold on. Let me pull this
- 1:02:19Speaker 2: up real quick. Let me do some quick Googling while
- 1:02:22Speaker 2: we kind of do this here. Like, Mac Jones, Mac Jones,
- 1:02:26Speaker 2: Mac Jones. I miss Mac Jones hints and tweets.
- 1:02:33Speaker 5: Here's the thing.
- 1:02:34Speaker 3: I saw a random photo on Twitter. They had the
- 1:02:37Speaker 3: similar stats as each other within the first two years.
- 1:02:40Speaker 3: And I'm like, oh, that's utterly disturbing.
- 1:02:44Speaker 2: So what really disturbs me about Drake Lee's performance this year,
- 1:02:48Speaker 2: like to take this one particular game into example, man
- 1:02:50Speaker 2: had 199 passing yards and two TDs, or sorry, two interceptions.
- 1:02:55Speaker 2: I wish it was two fucking TDs. And he also
- 1:02:59Speaker 2: fumbled the ball twice. In three games, this man has
- 1:03:04Speaker 2: one touchdown and eight turnovers.
- 1:03:10Speaker 4: She thought yeah he has.
- 1:03:13Speaker 2: Drag may needs to get his shit together or he
- 1:03:17Speaker 2: can get the fuck out of foxborough.
- 1:03:20Speaker 4: Or in other terms oh brother.
- 1:03:24Speaker 2: This guy stinks yeah pretty much pretty much the only
- 1:03:29Speaker 2: real shining spot of our offense was i don't know
- 1:03:34Speaker 2: mac hollins i gotta pick a positive somewhere right Because
- 1:03:38Speaker 2: six catches for 87 yards. Cool. That's 87 out of
- 1:03:42Speaker 2: the 199 yards. That's almost half of what Drake made through.
- 1:03:45Speaker 2: And I'm sitting here lying. I'm just like, there were
- 1:03:50Speaker 2: no bright spots to this game. I hate that I
- 1:03:53Speaker 2: called it. I think Talon takes notes on this one.
- 1:03:58Speaker 2: I'm entirely positive. I think that I picked New England
- 1:04:05Speaker 2: to win the game because I hoped that they would
- 1:04:07Speaker 2: turn it around. But I also said that at the
- 1:04:10Speaker 2: same time, I would not be surprised if Jacksonville ran
- 1:04:12Speaker 2: us over because Drake May's poor performances. And unfortunately, the
- 1:04:16Speaker 2: latter was the correct one here. Who do we play next?
- 1:04:23Speaker 2: Let me let me look at that before.
- 1:04:25Speaker 5: All right.
- 1:04:26Speaker 2: Also, we have a one in three start because if
- 1:04:29Speaker 2: we can't stop fucking Trevor Lawrence. Which, granted, don't get
- 1:04:34Speaker 2: me wrong, I think Trevor Lawrence is a very good quarterback. Oh,
- 1:04:37Speaker 2: wait a minute, hold on.
- 1:04:37Speaker 5: There's good news to this. It's in Highmark Stadium.
- 1:04:40Speaker 2: I don't give a shit where it's at.
- 1:04:42Speaker 3: Remember, the Patriots beat Buffalo in the old Highmark Stadium
- 1:04:46Speaker 3: last year.
- 1:04:48Speaker 2: That's fine. Drake May looked better last year. That's fine. But, like,
- 1:04:54Speaker 2: if we can't stop Trevor Lawrence, and, again, like I
- 1:04:56Speaker 2: was saying, I think Trevor Lawrence is genuinely a very
- 1:04:59Speaker 2: good quarterback. I think he has definitely found a great
- 1:05:03Speaker 2: rhythm and a great home in Jacksonville. But Drake Mayman, like,
- 1:05:11Speaker 2: if the Chargers are going to put up a decent
- 1:05:13Speaker 2: defensive performance, commit five, you know, force five turnovers and
- 1:05:18Speaker 2: still lose to Buffalo, like, I would not be surprised
- 1:05:22Speaker 2: to see, you know, Buffalo drop seven TDs on us
- 1:05:25Speaker 2: in some capacity.
- 1:05:27Speaker 5: Watch this be the put-up or shutout game for Drake Mayman.
- 1:05:29Speaker 5: He just shows up.
- 1:05:31Speaker 2: I would like for this to be the put-up-or-shut-up game.
- 1:05:33Speaker 2: I would like to come back next week's recording and
- 1:05:35Speaker 2: be like, God, I might look at Drake Mayweather 14 days.
- 1:05:39Speaker 5: You know, but.
- 1:05:42Speaker 2: Maybe it'll be a miracle at Highmark Stadium.
- 1:05:45Speaker 3: Yeah, there better be, because I'm actually going to have
- 1:05:47Speaker 3: some interesting picks coming up. But also, I need to
- 1:05:50Speaker 3: bring this up, unfortunately, because everybody on social media won't
- 1:05:53Speaker 3: shut up about it. Drake May is not being the
- 1:05:56Speaker 3: schedule allegations. He's being dubbed as Drake the Schedule May.
- 1:06:00Speaker 2: I don't think he's even deserving of a fucking nickname.
- 1:06:03Speaker 2: I think he's that bad. I think he's genuinely that
- 1:06:08Speaker 2: bad right now. Like, yeah, sure. I mean, like, yeah,
- 1:06:12Speaker 2: the schedules didn't. The schedule kind of favored him last year. But, like,
- 1:06:15Speaker 2: even against these, you know, worst performing teams, he still
- 1:06:19Speaker 2: had a decent stat line against them. He's not even
- 1:06:22Speaker 2: put up a good stat line this year. He's not.
- 1:06:25Speaker 5: I mean, look at it this way.
- 1:06:28Speaker 2: Our... Our win against sorry to cut you off talent.
- 1:06:31Speaker 2: Our win this year is against fucking Pittsburgh. And that
- 1:06:34Speaker 2: was our defenses game. And Drake barely broke 200 passing
- 1:06:38Speaker 2: yards and still had a turnover. Like, what are we doing?
- 1:06:45Speaker 4: Not playing good football right now.
- 1:06:48Speaker 2: We're not playing football. When's the actual football team show up?
- 1:06:52Speaker 5: Apparently Foxborough because they've been bad on the road.
- 1:06:57Speaker 2: Well, if we've been bad on the road, then again,
- 1:06:59Speaker 2: I fully expect Josh Allen to drop seven TDs on
- 1:07:01Speaker 2: us somehow.
- 1:07:02Speaker 3: So you think the crowd at Highmark Stadium is going
- 1:07:05Speaker 3: to leave happy?
- 1:07:05Speaker 2: I think they're going to leave fucking ecstatic.
- 1:07:11Speaker 4: The other thing, though, is.
- 1:07:14Speaker 1: That if we'll take solace at this, the Patriots lost
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: in Florida.
- 1:07:21Speaker 4: They keep historically doing bad in Florida.
- 1:07:23Speaker 5: I don't know why.
- 1:07:26Speaker 1: Yeah, so it's like, let's see how they do in
- 1:07:30Speaker 1: week four. But speaking of four, let's move on to
- 1:07:36Speaker 1: the four o'clock window. Let's try to get through some
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: of these games pretty quickly.
- 1:07:40Speaker 5: Let's start with... Yeah, the 405 window starts first.
- 1:07:43Speaker 2: Which one?
- 1:07:43Speaker 5: There's only two games in this slot. Which one do
- 1:07:45Speaker 5: you want to do first?
- 1:07:46Speaker 4: Let's do New Orleans and.
- 1:07:48Speaker 5: That's not a 405 window.
- 1:07:50Speaker 4: Well, who cares? Cause it's new Orleans.
- 1:07:52Speaker 1: And because this game, I got wrong in the predictions.
- 1:08:00Speaker 4: And I'll just say this new Orleans. You had one job,
- 1:08:06Speaker 4: go three of those.
- 1:08:07Speaker 1: So Atlanta could beat your ass next Monday night and
- 1:08:11Speaker 1: end your undefeated season at three wins.
- 1:08:15Speaker 3: First of all, that's not true. They lost to Detroit.
- 1:08:18Speaker 3: Second of all, why are we going out of order?
- 1:08:20Speaker 5: It's fine.
- 1:08:21Speaker 2: He said they were supposed to start 3-0 so they
- 1:08:24Speaker 2: could have the satisfaction of knocking them off that streak.
- 1:08:27Speaker 4: Exactly.
- 1:08:30Speaker 5: Maybe we should have an actual discussion, though, about how
- 1:08:32Speaker 5: legit the Raiders are.
- 1:08:34Speaker 2: The Raiders look really good. To kind of allude to
- 1:08:37Speaker 2: my prior comment that we made a couple of games ago.
- 1:08:41Speaker 2: Who coaches the Raiders again?
- 1:08:43Speaker 5: Clint Kubiak.
- 1:08:45Speaker 2: Clint Kubiak. Yeah. Okay.
- 1:08:48Speaker 5: He was the offensive coordinator at Seattle.
- 1:08:51Speaker 2: Yeah, Pete Carroll's kind of bad, ain't he?
- 1:08:53Speaker 5: Yeah, he was.
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: Well, I mean, let's be real. He made Ronald Wilson
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: pass at the one yard line when you have Marshawn Lynch.
- 1:09:04Speaker 2: I will forever be thankful for that we lost that
- 1:09:08Speaker 2: Super Bowl if he runs that ball.
- 1:09:09Speaker 3: 100% Pete Carroll for some reason revived Gino Smith then
- 1:09:14Speaker 3: killed him again and now suddenly Gino's revived again so
- 1:09:17Speaker 3: I don't get that life cycle It's like Baker Mayfield, man.
- 1:09:22Speaker 2: Okay. Arguably though, like even though new Orleans lost this game,
- 1:09:27Speaker 2: I didn't look terrible. They looked really good.
- 1:09:32Speaker 4: They did look good.
- 1:09:33Speaker 1: I mean, Tyler, look, Tyler Shuck is impressing me. I,
- 1:09:37Speaker 1: I said it last week and I'll, I'll reiterate it.
- 1:09:41Speaker 1: I mean, He is looking better. He is looking like
- 1:09:45Speaker 1: a better quarterback. He's got the chemistry with Olave and
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: Vele and Juwan Johnson and Noah Fant.
- 1:09:56Speaker 4: I forget that Noah Fant's in the league sometimes.
- 1:10:00Speaker 2: He still exists. Yeah.
- 1:10:04Speaker 1: But He still has a late-game turnover machine, which is
- 1:10:10Speaker 1: kind of the reason why the Raiders managed to pull
- 1:10:13Speaker 1: away and win this game. And I know Saints fans
- 1:10:18Speaker 1: are like, wait a minute. We lost a touchdown against
- 1:10:22Speaker 1: the Lions. Why is this not a– or why is
- 1:10:27Speaker 1: that a fumble, but this isn't?
- 1:10:30Speaker 4: And it's like– Tuck rule.
- 1:10:33Speaker 2: What?
- 1:10:33Speaker 5: I mean– It was a turnover-filled game, though.
- 1:10:37Speaker 2: It really was.
- 1:10:39Speaker 4: Yeah, it really was. I mean, the Raiders have, like.
- 1:10:43Speaker 1: I think they have, what, nine turnovers this year in
- 1:10:45Speaker 1: three games?
- 1:10:48Speaker 2: Like, just in this one game alone, they recovered five fumbles.
- 1:10:52Speaker 5: Jeez!
- 1:10:53Speaker 4: Holy shit!
- 1:10:55Speaker 2: Yeah, they recovered five fumbles. Tyler Shuck fumbled twice. So...
- 1:11:01Speaker 2: Or I didn't ever remember Max Crosby. Yes, one recovery
- 1:11:07Speaker 2: was from Max Crosby.
- 1:11:10Speaker 4: All right.
- 1:11:10Speaker 1: Well, good for Max Crosby. And I mean, I know
- 1:11:14Speaker 1: he's over there now. Good job by Kirk Cousins. He
- 1:11:18Speaker 1: looks great in the silver and black. And again, it's
- 1:11:23Speaker 1: hilarious that the NFL media is talking about Kirk Cousins
- 1:11:30Speaker 1: as signing with a team that then drafted a quarterback
- 1:11:34Speaker 1: in the first round of said upcoming draft. But then they, but,
- 1:11:40Speaker 1: and again, look, I was like this when it happened,
- 1:11:44Speaker 1: but they lambasted Atlanta for that decision.
- 1:11:46Speaker 4: Why is, why does Atlanta get lambasted?
- 1:11:49Speaker 1: But the Raiders, oh my God, it's genius that they
- 1:11:53Speaker 1: have this quarterback.
- 1:11:55Speaker 4: They drafted him and he's going to learn.
- 1:11:59Speaker 5: I'll tell you the exact reason.
- 1:12:00Speaker 3: It was because there was an unexpected plan because nobody,
- 1:12:03Speaker 3: I don't know about you, Talon, if you thought about this,
- 1:12:05Speaker 3: but there was nobody on the sports world thought that
- 1:12:08Speaker 3: Atlanta was picking Michael Penix that high because we were
- 1:12:10Speaker 3: all thinking they were going to get some kind of
- 1:12:11Speaker 3: defense or offensive piece that wasn't a quarterback. Whereas the Raiders,
- 1:12:16Speaker 3: they needed a quarterback because Geno's didn't look good.
- 1:12:18Speaker 5: They had the first overall pick. And speaking of which,
- 1:12:21Speaker 5: this has to look really good for an end of Mendoza.
- 1:12:23Speaker 2: It does. This gives us a really solid platform to
- 1:12:28Speaker 2: stand on here. Because to kind of add on and
- 1:12:31Speaker 2: piggyback off of the defensive commentary from earlier, looked up
- 1:12:36Speaker 2: their total defensive stats, right? Through week three, the Raiders
- 1:12:41Speaker 2: are eighth in the NFL at points allowed per game
- 1:12:44Speaker 2: with 18. They have nine total takeaways, which is first
- 1:12:51Speaker 2: in the NFL. They have 10 forced fumbles per Into
- 1:12:57Speaker 2: week three, which is first in the NFL. And throughout
- 1:13:01Speaker 2: the three fourth quarters that they've played, they have allowed
- 1:13:04Speaker 2: zero points.
- 1:13:06Speaker 5: Oh, my God.
- 1:13:07Speaker 4: Wow.
- 1:13:08Speaker 2: That Raiders team is this Raiders team actually might be legit.
- 1:13:13Speaker 5: I mean, next week's going to be a true test.
- 1:13:15Speaker 2: That's just why, because they do play Kansas City next week.
- 1:13:21Speaker 2: I would like to see them get shit. I would
- 1:13:23Speaker 2: like to see the Chiefs get shit on by the
- 1:13:25Speaker 2: Raiders so hard. But again, that's because I think Patrick
- 1:13:28Speaker 2: Mahomes is incredibly mid. I mean, I will forever die
- 1:13:34Speaker 2: on that hill.
- 1:13:35Speaker 1: Yeah, we will definitely see what happens in that game
- 1:13:40Speaker 1: next week. But again, Nova brought the 405 window. Let's
- 1:13:44Speaker 1: talk about Arizona and San Francisco.
- 1:13:47Speaker 4: Oh, Mr. Substation.
- 1:13:53Speaker 5: They claimed Mike Evans.
- 1:13:56Speaker 4: And Trent Williams.
- 1:13:59Speaker 5: And yet the Niners are the best team in the NFC.
- 1:14:05Speaker 2: They played the Cardinals, so I don't know how much
- 1:14:07Speaker 2: you can actually attest to that.
- 1:14:08Speaker 5: They beat the Rams, okay?
- 1:14:11Speaker 2: I mean, that's fine, I guess.
- 1:14:16Speaker 5: Clearly, they're defying expectations.
- 1:14:19Speaker 2: The Rams are 1-2, but we'll get to that one
- 1:14:22Speaker 2: in a second, too. I don't know. Jacoby Brissett slinging
- 1:14:27Speaker 2: the ball 52 times against the 49ers feels weird. But
- 1:14:31Speaker 2: how about Mr. Irrelevant? 15 for 27, just shy of
- 1:14:32Speaker 2: 300 passing yards and four TDs.
- 1:14:46Speaker 1: I mean, right now you can make the argument that
- 1:14:48Speaker 1: he's the frontrunner for MVP of the league through three weeks.
- 1:14:52Speaker 2: Yeah. Because old Brock Priority has been putting up some
- 1:14:56Speaker 2: impressive performances.
- 1:15:00Speaker 5: He really has been.
- 1:15:02Speaker 3: Just a really funny stat I wanted to throw out
- 1:15:05Speaker 3: there before we continue.
- 1:15:06Speaker 5: Do you know something funny that happened during the game
- 1:15:09Speaker 5: between the Niners and Cardinals?
- 1:15:11Speaker 2: What is that?
- 1:15:12Speaker 5: Debo Samuel has zero receptions but an 80 yard touchdown. Oh, right.
- 1:15:20Speaker 4: I saw that. He, he scored a touchdown, a hook
- 1:15:23Speaker 4: and ladder.
- 1:15:26Speaker 5: That's a stat you don't see every day.
- 1:15:27Speaker 2: Yeah, not at all.
- 1:15:30Speaker 5: So we can officially say Debo is.
- 1:15:31Speaker 2: No longer washed.
- 1:15:35Speaker 5: Maybe just with a team.
- 1:15:36Speaker 2: He actually wants to play now is the thing.
- 1:15:39Speaker 5: Looking at you, Brandon, I, you. Yeah.
- 1:15:43Speaker 4: Brandon, I, you man.
- 1:15:45Speaker 1: Um, But, yeah, I mean, really not much to talk
- 1:15:48Speaker 1: about with Arizona and San Francisco.
- 1:15:52Speaker 4: Let's move on to Minnesota and Tampa. Oh, my God.
- 1:15:58Speaker 1: Do I have thoughts about this game?
- 1:16:00Speaker 2: I have added in talent. I've added in talent. I
- 1:16:02Speaker 2: don't think he's let us off quite yet.
- 1:16:04Speaker 4: Hey, Bucs fans.
- 1:16:06Speaker 1: How does it feel to have an ass for an
- 1:16:09Speaker 1: offensive coordinator who is so inept that the defenses know
- 1:16:16Speaker 1: what the hell you're running and then the broadcast knows
- 1:16:21Speaker 1: what you're running?
- 1:16:23Speaker 5: Hey, we don't hack Robinson.
- 1:16:25Speaker 2: Oh, my God.
- 1:16:29Speaker 1: God, it is just laughable how bad the Bucs are,
- 1:16:37Speaker 1: how predictable they are. I mean, and again, their offensive
- 1:16:41Speaker 1: line ain't much better. I mean, giving up six sacks,
- 1:16:44Speaker 1: I get it. It's a Brian Flores defense, which, again,
- 1:16:46Speaker 1: Brian Flores, great defensive coordinator, should be a head coach
- 1:16:50Speaker 1: in this league if you ask me.
- 1:16:52Speaker 4: But holy cow.
- 1:16:54Speaker 5: Crap, man.
- 1:16:55Speaker 1: That was just a beat down and a beat down
- 1:16:59Speaker 1: and a beat down. And, yes, the Bucs had a
- 1:17:02Speaker 1: 40-yard touchdown, and they should have had an 86-yard touchdown
- 1:17:06Speaker 1: if it wasn't for the yellow laundry on the field.
- 1:17:12Speaker 4: But not.
- 1:17:15Speaker 5: Hey, look, Brandon.
- 1:17:15Speaker 4: He knows Tom Grassi.
- 1:17:19Speaker 5: Lag.
- 1:17:20Speaker 2: Lag.
- 1:17:22Speaker 4: Lag.
- 1:17:24Speaker 1: But no, I didn't think that sounds like, yeah, no,
- 1:17:28Speaker 1: it was, it was just horrible by the box. It's
- 1:17:32Speaker 1: hilarious that, you know, they were saying, Oh, Zach Robinson
- 1:17:36Speaker 1: worked with Baker Mayfield in the Rams offense. He's going
- 1:17:39Speaker 1: to revolutionize this offense for the, hold.
- 1:17:41Speaker 5: On, hold on, hold on, no, no, no, no, no.
- 1:17:43Speaker 5: You can't do that. He had like a one game
- 1:17:45Speaker 5: wonder with that one. Calm down.
- 1:17:46Speaker 3: No, no, no, no, no.
- 1:17:48Speaker 1: Well, again, this is bucks fans. We're talking about here
- 1:17:50Speaker 1: at bucks. I mean, I live in Florida. It's all right.
- 1:17:53Speaker 4: I mean, it's, Already bad enough how Bucs fans are.
- 1:17:57Speaker 1: So you got to reap what you sow, if you
- 1:18:00Speaker 1: ask me on that. But again, I will say this.
- 1:18:05Speaker 1: I mean, we even said it when it happened, guys.
- 1:18:08Speaker 1: We said Baker Mayfield is not worth that much money
- 1:18:12Speaker 1: a year. We said if you want to give him
- 1:18:15Speaker 1: a three-year extension or a four-year extension, okay.
- 1:18:20Speaker 4: We'll be fine with that. But Brandon, refresh my memory.
- 1:18:23Speaker 1: Didn't we say that he was not worth $ 55 million
- 1:18:26Speaker 1: a year?
- 1:18:27Speaker 2: He's not worth $ 55 million. I think he's worth a
- 1:18:29Speaker 2: little bit of money, but $ 55 wasn't it. And they're
- 1:18:32Speaker 2: going to be kind of glad they didn't pay him
- 1:18:34Speaker 2: that kind of money because, you know, he is out
- 1:18:36Speaker 2: for the next three weeks.
- 1:18:39Speaker 5: Yeah. His thumb got injured, if you want to know.
- 1:18:42Speaker 1: Yeah, dislocated thumb. You heard him cry or not crying.
- 1:18:46Speaker 1: You heard him screaming on the broadcast and everything. and
- 1:18:51Speaker 1: it's a minimum of three weeks by the way minimum
- 1:18:54Speaker 1: so could be three could be five and if it's
- 1:19:00Speaker 1: five then that puts him out of the Atlanta game
- 1:19:04Speaker 1: which you know would be great for Atlanta fans um But, no,
- 1:19:11Speaker 1: I mean, again, Bucs fans, it's a sad, sad day
- 1:19:15Speaker 1: when your quarterback gets hurt, your offense is inept, your defense.
- 1:19:21Speaker 4: Is middle of the road, I would say.
- 1:19:25Speaker 2: Mid.
- 1:19:27Speaker 4: Mid, middle of the road, mid, even though you're.
- 1:19:31Speaker 6: Number one overall, well, number one overall.
- 1:19:35Speaker 1: Draft pick and Ruben Bain was injured out of this game,
- 1:19:39Speaker 1: but David Walker looked good. And Brandon, I think I
- 1:19:45Speaker 1: can agree. I think you'll agree with me on this.
- 1:19:47Speaker 4: Is it a detriment of a team when your best
- 1:19:50Speaker 4: player right now is your kicker?
- 1:19:51Speaker 5: Oh my God. Don't freaking remind me.
- 1:19:54Speaker 4: No, no, no, no, no, no, no.
- 1:19:56Speaker 2: Yeah. And that was been pretty familiar with that kind
- 1:19:58Speaker 2: of throughout the Lamar Jackson and Joe Flacco era. So yeah,
- 1:20:00Speaker 2: I can agree with that.
- 1:20:01Speaker 4: No, no, no, no, no, no.
- 1:20:03Speaker 3: I only bring this up because I have Chase McLaughlin
- 1:20:05Speaker 3: in fantasy. He's been my bench former every single week.
- 1:20:10Speaker 2: He's going to keep warming that bitch then.
- 1:20:14Speaker 3: I hate you hated here for fantasy, but yeah, Chase
- 1:20:16Speaker 3: McLaughlin is just so good.
- 1:20:18Speaker 2: I don't know that he's going to get any. I
- 1:20:21Speaker 2: think he might just get a little bit worse for
- 1:20:23Speaker 2: you if Jalen Daniels is going to be the starting QB.
- 1:20:25Speaker 5: I mean, again, Chase McLaughlin has the leg.
- 1:20:31Speaker 2: Does Jalen Daniels have the arm to carry him down
- 1:20:33Speaker 2: the field?
- 1:20:34Speaker 5: Only time will tell.
- 1:20:36Speaker 2: We'll find out next week.
- 1:20:37Speaker 5: Yeah, but those are the Vikings.
- 1:20:39Speaker 2: Find out next time on Dragon Ball Z. I mean,
- 1:20:42Speaker 2: these weren't any better for the Vikings.
- 1:20:44Speaker 3: I mean, Kyler Murray's first game back from being knocked
- 1:20:46Speaker 3: out by the Packers didn't.
- 1:20:48Speaker 5: Look that great.
- 1:20:49Speaker 3: He had that one touchdown to Jordan Addison, but that
- 1:20:51Speaker 3: was only really because Justin Jefferson got hurt again. Really,
- 1:20:56Speaker 3: Brian Flores is carrying this Vikings team to a 3-0 start.
- 1:21:01Speaker 3: And Kyler, he really has got to improve. There was
- 1:21:05Speaker 3: some news that broke out on, I think it was
- 1:21:09Speaker 3: Monday when it happened. And this directly ties with the
- 1:21:11Speaker 3: Vikings because the New York Giants decided to trade away
- 1:21:15Speaker 3: a fifth round 2027 draft pick to the rights to
- 1:21:20Speaker 3: get Vikings quarterback J.J.
- 1:21:22Speaker 5: McCarthy.
- 1:21:25Speaker 2: Well, yeah, I forgot they traded for another nobody.
- 1:21:29Speaker 3: And I think this says a lot about the Vikings
- 1:21:31Speaker 3: because it means that they really gave up on McCarthy.
- 1:21:35Speaker 2: I mean, I figured they gave up on McCarthy too.
- 1:21:37Speaker 2: And like, so just to kind of go back and
- 1:21:40Speaker 2: reference it, because honestly, I did forget about that. And
- 1:21:44Speaker 2: I messaged, you know, the, my old roommate that I
- 1:21:46Speaker 2: referred to a couple of weeks ago. And I sent
- 1:21:50Speaker 2: him the Twitter link where, you know, they traded for
- 1:21:54Speaker 2: JJ McCarthy and, the day before i was like hey
- 1:21:58Speaker 2: you guys will have someone on monday and he was
- 1:21:59Speaker 2: like i certainly hope so and i said malik i
- 1:22:02Speaker 2: said brother that's saying it he said i agree he
- 1:22:05Speaker 2: goes i'm fixing to just go ahead and cancel my
- 1:22:07Speaker 2: nfl subscription for the season.
- 1:22:09Speaker 3: Hey but you want to know something funny i found
- 1:22:11Speaker 3: on twitter as well i mean i found out that
- 1:22:14Speaker 3: you know they're drawing comparisons for this giants lineup with
- 1:22:18Speaker 3: mccarthy because john art he's being coached by a horror
- 1:22:21Speaker 3: ball he has a decent receiver room. He has a
- 1:22:23Speaker 3: power running back in Camp Scataboo. He has a great
- 1:22:25Speaker 3: tight end in Isaiah Likely. They're trying to do comparisons immediately.
- 1:22:28Speaker 3: He's like, brother, let him play.
- 1:22:30Speaker 2: Oof.
- 1:22:35Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:22:36Speaker 1: But, I mean, after that, I mean, hey, Minnesota's undefeated,
- 1:22:41Speaker 1: and I mean, granted, our last game of the 4
- 1:22:45Speaker 1: o'clock window, I mean, we've been saving the best for last.
- 1:22:49Speaker 1: Nova taken away on Baltimore and Dallas.
- 1:22:54Speaker 3: Let me tell you, first of all, there were rumors
- 1:22:56Speaker 3: that this game was not going to be in Rio
- 1:22:57Speaker 3: because of the turf conditions, but it carried on anyway.
- 1:23:00Speaker 5: Rio de Janeiro.
- 1:23:02Speaker 3: And I was nervous about this one because, you know,
- 1:23:04Speaker 3: everybody was labeling Rapist as Choke Artist.
- 1:23:07Speaker 5: And, well, it kind of looked that way.
- 1:23:11Speaker 3: But, and you guys should have tested this because I
- 1:23:14Speaker 3: took notes on this game on our Discord the entire time.
- 1:23:17Speaker 2: Trust me, he took notes the entire game.
- 1:23:20Speaker 4: Oh, did he ever take notes?
- 1:23:25Speaker 5: I'm going to go briefly.
- 1:23:26Speaker 3: I'm not sure how long I can take this one.
- 1:23:29Speaker 3: Where do I start? Where do my notes start? First
- 1:23:32Speaker 3: of all, they were on my local network on CBS LA,
- 1:23:34Speaker 3: so thank you for that one, CBS, because I would have.
- 1:23:36Speaker 5: Not preferred to have watched the Raiders there.
- 1:23:41Speaker 3: It started with a 3-0 on offense because Lamar Jackson
- 1:23:45Speaker 3: missed Mark Andrews.
- 1:23:47Speaker 2: Really?
- 1:23:47Speaker 5: Who did the message?
- 1:23:48Speaker 2: Continue, continue. All right.
- 1:23:54Speaker 3: Anyway, Nomani Mata BK came back in this game as well.
- 1:23:58Speaker 3: So he was off the pop list and is back
- 1:24:00Speaker 3: in the lineup. Roquan gets a good tackle to force
- 1:24:03Speaker 3: up Brandon Aubrey's field goal. And then for some reason,
- 1:24:08Speaker 3: on the next defensive play, I mean, no, this was
- 1:24:11Speaker 3: after Derek Henry got stopped on a fourth down by
- 1:24:14Speaker 3: the Cowboys D-line. Then suddenly, Jesse Minter decides to do
- 1:24:18Speaker 3: the soft zone defense again, where he's playing all his
- 1:24:20Speaker 3: defensive back 10 yards out, which.
- 1:24:22Speaker 5: By the way, you have to stop doing that.
- 1:24:24Speaker 2: There's the up close.
- 1:24:28Speaker 5: I'm telling you, that play never works. It gave us
- 1:24:30Speaker 5: a first out every time.
- 1:24:32Speaker 3: And then they gave us a touchdown later that drive.
- 1:24:36Speaker 3: Then Lamar Jackson and Zay Flowers both combined to get
- 1:24:40Speaker 3: to the goal line. Then they gave Derek Henry's touchdown
- 1:24:43Speaker 3: off the Wildcats. So, uh, After one, it was 10-7.
- 1:24:46Speaker 3: And then Tez Walker drew a DPI near the end zone.
- 1:24:53Speaker 3: And we got another Derrick Henry touchdown. So we got
- 1:24:56Speaker 3: on the board, on the lead, 14-10. Then we got
- 1:25:01Speaker 3: a turnover on Townsend. But that, on the Cowboys, we
- 1:25:03Speaker 3: ended up ending with a 27-yard field goal on an
- 1:25:07Speaker 3: ensuing drive.
- 1:25:08Speaker 5: And then for some reason, they played that soft coverage again.
- 1:25:17Speaker 5: I freaking hate that play. I just want you guys
- 1:25:19Speaker 5: to know. But yeah, it ended up being halftime 17. Wait,
- 1:25:22Speaker 5: was it 17-13? I'm just waiting for my.
- 1:25:25Speaker 2: Notes right now. 17-13 at halftime.
- 1:25:27Speaker 5: Okay, so it was 17-13 at halftime.
- 1:25:30Speaker 3: And then there was reports that Kyle Hamilton might have
- 1:25:32Speaker 3: gotten hurt. Then the hilarious turnover that the Cowboys did
- 1:25:39Speaker 3: where Simpson recovered the fumble after it was like a
- 1:25:43Speaker 3: pitch tight end play. And then we just do nothing
- 1:25:45Speaker 3: on the offense. Our defense, for some reason, couldn't stop
- 1:25:48Speaker 3: Javante Williams all game. Then we blocked a field goal
- 1:25:51Speaker 3: by Brandon Aubrey. And then Talon was over here saying
- 1:25:55Speaker 3: that I got to be much quicker than him.
- 1:25:57Speaker 5: Who?
- 1:26:01Speaker 4: Me?
- 1:26:02Speaker 5: Yes.
- 1:26:04Speaker 2: Never.
- 1:26:06Speaker 5: It's on the notes.
- 1:26:09Speaker 1: Evidently, it's on the notes, Brandon, so it must be true.
- 1:26:11Speaker 3: And then later on, that Jai Lamar finds Chris Moore
- 1:26:17Speaker 3: For a touchdown, we suddenly lead 24-13, and then we
- 1:26:22Speaker 3: start giving up a lot of yards. Then a penalty,
- 1:26:27Speaker 3: a race to a Derrick Henry hat trick, unfortunately, which then,
- 1:26:32Speaker 3: for some reason, for the second time, we decided to
- 1:26:36Speaker 3: run what looks like an A-gap run for Derrick Henry,
- 1:26:39Speaker 3: which has stopped again on fourth and goal at the 1.
- 1:26:42Speaker 3: I got so angry about that one, then the Cowboys
- 1:26:44Speaker 3: convert that fourth down stop to a big plate touchdown
- 1:26:47Speaker 3: because we can't cover CeeDee Lamb because Marlon Humphries was
- 1:26:51Speaker 3: being burned every time in coverage. And I was legitimately
- 1:26:56Speaker 3: getting angry at this one. I was like, oh my god,
- 1:26:58Speaker 3: here we freaking go again. We're just doing this thing
- 1:27:01Speaker 3: where it's like we're just choking double-digit leagues like it's
- 1:27:03Speaker 3: no one's business.
- 1:27:06Speaker 5: Then the Baker injury happened.
- 1:27:10Speaker 3: Guys, don't worry.
- 1:27:14Speaker 5: And then we had a call for an illegal formation.
- 1:27:16Speaker 3: And then we lost our center, so that caused our
- 1:27:20Speaker 3: rookie guard, Vega Ioane, to play center. Oh, this was
- 1:27:26Speaker 3: when the Cowboys took the lead 28-24. Then about a
- 1:27:30Speaker 3: minute ago, Lamar Jackson finds rookie tight end Matthew Hibner
- 1:27:34Speaker 3: for a touchdown. I was so happy because it felt
- 1:27:36Speaker 3: like we were finally going to just stop the Cowboys defense,
- 1:27:38Speaker 3: which we got.
- 1:27:39Speaker 5: A prior stop, but no.
- 1:27:41Speaker 3: They get a very controversial DBI that should have been
- 1:27:44Speaker 3: offensive pass interference because clearly Nate Wiggins was getting held
- 1:27:48Speaker 3: by CeeDee Lamb. And then for some reason we stopped
- 1:27:53Speaker 3: it under the goal line. I think this is more
- 1:27:54Speaker 3: on Dallas's idiocy.
- 1:27:56Speaker 5: So it was 31-31.
- 1:27:58Speaker 3: Then talent in classic John Madden fashion says it's going overtime.
- 1:28:02Speaker 4: I mean, I thought it was.
- 1:28:05Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:28:08Speaker 5: Mate, you should know who the hell Lamar Jackson is.
- 1:28:12Speaker 4: Oh my god.
- 1:28:14Speaker 2: A running back. Anyway, I'm joking.
- 1:28:17Speaker 5: No, you're the joke.
- 1:28:20Speaker 4: You're the joke.
- 1:28:24Speaker 3: With seven seconds, one pass, thanks for the touchback, Lamar
- 1:28:29Speaker 3: finds Zay all the way to Dallas territory. We get
- 1:28:33Speaker 3: a second with the timeout and then Tyler Loop with
- 1:28:38Speaker 3: the miracle of all miracles. drives in a 56 yard
- 1:28:42Speaker 3: field goal to win it.
- 1:28:45Speaker 6: You have no idea how happy I was I jumped
- 1:28:47Speaker 6: out of my seat like I was so happy because
- 1:28:51Speaker 6: we're the first time in quite some time the Ravens
- 1:28:53Speaker 6: didn't choke they pulled out a comeback that barely happens
- 1:28:57Speaker 6: anytime these days And I.
- 1:29:00Speaker 3: Was so freaking happy. Can I just say as well,
- 1:29:04Speaker 3: thank you, Pittsburgh, for helping us.
- 1:29:12Speaker 1: I mean, honestly, Brandon, what more can we say about
- 1:29:14Speaker 1: this game?
- 1:29:17Speaker 2: It was a nail biter, that's for sure.
- 1:29:18Speaker 5: You guys have no idea how often I go for it.
- 1:29:21Speaker 5: It's not fun. I mean.
- 1:29:25Speaker 4: I've been in your position before. I mean, hello, I'm
- 1:29:29Speaker 4: an Atlanta fan.
- 1:29:30Speaker 1: I know all about fourth quarter leads being blown.
- 1:29:33Speaker 3: No, because apparently CBS likes to make fun of it.
- 1:29:36Speaker 3: During one of their UI presentations, they said, like, we've
- 1:29:39Speaker 3: choked away, like, 14 or 15 double-digit fourth quarter leads,
- 1:29:42Speaker 3: which is, like, the most in the 2020s.
- 1:29:45Speaker 1: That's just because they haven't got enough Falcons games to
- 1:29:48Speaker 1: have that information handy.
- 1:29:52Speaker 3: But, yeah, Tyra Lou, freaking thank you. Pittsburgh Steelers, thank you.
- 1:29:56Speaker 3: Jake Moody, thank you.
- 1:29:59Speaker 4: Referees, thank you.
- 1:30:00Speaker 5: No, no, no, no. We don't talk about that. Hello?
- 1:30:04Speaker 5: That was clearly OPI, but whatever.
- 1:30:07Speaker 2: I thought the clock set all zeros at the end,
- 1:30:09Speaker 2: in my opinion.
- 1:30:11Speaker 5: No, we had a second.
- 1:30:13Speaker 1: After review of the play, there is one second remaining
- 1:30:17Speaker 1: left on the clock.
- 1:30:22Speaker 5: That's because we had the second. Yes.
- 1:30:25Speaker 1: But you know who didn't have a second? The last
- 1:30:29Speaker 1: game of the Sunday slate, Rams and Broncos. And again, Nova, you.
- 1:30:37Speaker 4: Got it right.
- 1:30:39Speaker 5: And I got it the exact way we did, too.
- 1:30:41Speaker 5: I called it perfectly.
- 1:30:43Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:30:44Speaker 1: Can I just also bring up that you just brought
- 1:30:47Speaker 1: up the whole incident with Andrew Wiggins and the OPI?
- 1:30:52Speaker 5: Hello, Andrew Wiggins is in the NBA?
- 1:30:56Speaker 4: What was his name? The cornerback.
- 1:31:00Speaker 5: Nate Wiggins.
- 1:31:02Speaker 4: Nate Wiggins.
- 1:31:03Speaker 2: Sorry.
- 1:31:04Speaker 3: Thank you for saying Andrew because I know he's a
- 1:31:08Speaker 3: pretty good NBA forward.
- 1:31:11Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:31:12Speaker 2: We make sports now.
- 1:31:14Speaker 5: Yes, exactly.
- 1:31:15Speaker 1: Oh, man. But, I mean, it happened in the Ravens
- 1:31:20Speaker 1: game and it happened in the Rams Broncos game. Like, Oh,
- 1:31:24Speaker 1: my God. Was that a flop and a half? I
- 1:31:27Speaker 1: don't know how the hell you could get.
- 1:31:30Speaker 4: Pass interference, defense number, whatever the fuck his number was.
- 1:31:35Speaker 4: Spot foul. Automatic first down.
- 1:31:37Speaker 5: Speaking of fixing sports.
- 1:31:42Speaker 2: Yeah. Speaking of it. Yeah. Yeah. Let's go on.
- 1:31:47Speaker 5: You should notice watching LeBron James. Or, actually, no. LeBron's
- 1:31:54Speaker 5: not the example.
- 1:31:54Speaker 3: Shea Gillespie's Alexander is the example.
- 1:31:57Speaker 2: Speaking of people that need to retire.
- 1:32:02Speaker 5: But, yeah. Colton Connard said it perfectly. Despite the penalty,
- 1:32:05Speaker 5: the Rams beat themselves.
- 1:32:08Speaker 4: I would agree with that.
- 1:32:09Speaker 1: I mean, you could also bring up the fact that
- 1:32:12Speaker 1: Sean McVay, he had a two-minute post-game press conference.
- 1:32:16Speaker 4: Two minutes!
- 1:32:20Speaker 2: It's longer than I would have given those people, honestly,
- 1:32:22Speaker 2: because some of them referee calls were fucking abysmal at
- 1:32:25Speaker 2: the end of the game.
- 1:32:28Speaker 4: Yeah, some of them were not good. I'll say the
- 1:32:32Speaker 4: least on that. But, yeah, I mean, hey, Bo Nix,
- 1:32:37Speaker 4: how about that Bo Nix?
- 1:32:40Speaker 3: I said it before, I'll say it again, I called
- 1:32:42Speaker 3: out Broncos devil magic.
- 1:32:44Speaker 5: They always do this.
- 1:32:46Speaker 2: They got it. They got to stop doing these fourth
- 1:32:49Speaker 2: quarter comebacks because this isn't going to last very long
- 1:32:51Speaker 2: for them.
- 1:32:53Speaker 5: It's still working.
- 1:32:56Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean, it's still working. But, yeah, I.
- 1:33:01Speaker 1: Mean, we'll see how the Rams bounce back. But let's
- 1:33:05Speaker 1: get to the last game of week three, which was
- 1:33:08Speaker 1: last night as we are recording. And I'm just going
- 1:33:12Speaker 1: to say this, and then you two can take over
- 1:33:14Speaker 1: for this game. I actually can't because I didn't like
- 1:33:16Speaker 1: to watch the game. I was in the middle of
- 1:33:17Speaker 1: class again.
- 1:33:18Speaker 2: I can do it.
- 1:33:20Speaker 1: Okay, Brandon, you can take it, but first I'm just
- 1:33:23Speaker 1: going to say my piece. Philadelphia, how the fuck did
- 1:33:26Speaker 1: you lose to a third-string quarterback?
- 1:33:29Speaker 2: Brandon, take it away. I saw he walked away on
- 1:33:34Speaker 2: that one.
- 1:33:35Speaker 4: Okay, Brandon, take it away.
- 1:33:37Speaker 2: Case Keenan put on a fucking master class here. Jalen
- 1:33:41Speaker 2: Hurts was like crap, and I am so glad the
- 1:33:44Speaker 2: one time that I didn't start Jalen Hurts, it was
- 1:33:46Speaker 2: against this game. I just had a feeling. Like, I
- 1:33:50Speaker 2: started my homes over Jalen Hurts, and I'm very glad
- 1:33:52Speaker 2: that I did. Because Jalen's going 16 for 25 in
- 1:33:55Speaker 2: an interception. What happened, Philadelphia?
- 1:33:59Speaker 4: Case Keenum.
- 1:34:02Speaker 2: Is he third string on Chicago's roster?
- 1:34:04Speaker 5: He is, because Tyson Bajan's the backup.
- 1:34:06Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't know what the hell happened here. 24
- 1:34:09Speaker 2: for 34, 247 passing yards, two TDs. Case Keenum. Case
- 1:34:15Speaker 2: Keenum did some. He had a really good TD to
- 1:34:18Speaker 2: Luther Burton as well. Like, this man put that thing
- 1:34:22Speaker 2: right in there. I don't understand what happened to Philadelphia.
- 1:34:31Speaker 2: I've got nothing. What I will say, though, And I
- 1:34:36Speaker 2: found this very hilarious. Okay? During that game of the
- 1:34:44Speaker 2: third quarter, fourth and five, Jalen Hurts is in a
- 1:34:49Speaker 2: huddle around like six other players at that point in time.
- 1:34:56Speaker 2: No one notices Chicago linebacker TJ Edwards in that huddle.
- 1:35:04Speaker 4: Oh my god, no.
- 1:35:06Speaker 2: He is in the huddle listening to it. Did he
- 1:35:09Speaker 2: gain anything from it? Probably not. But what makes this
- 1:35:13Speaker 2: better is that very next play he intercepts Jalen Hurts.
- 1:35:21Speaker 4: Oh my god.
- 1:35:25Speaker 2: I don't understand what happened.
- 1:35:30Speaker 3: I'm sorry. It's like Kevin Petullo never left.
- 1:35:34Speaker 2: It's like they've never left. The post-game reaction, you know,
- 1:35:38Speaker 2: because he was asked about it. He was like, did
- 1:35:40Speaker 2: you actually gain anything from this? And in his game,
- 1:35:43Speaker 2: he said, because he used to play for Philadelphia. And
- 1:35:47Speaker 2: it says, you know, did you gain anything from this?
- 1:35:50Speaker 2: And he was like, I had no idea what they
- 1:35:53Speaker 2: were even talking about. But he just kind of stuck
- 1:35:55Speaker 2: his head in the huddle. And he was just like,
- 1:35:57Speaker 2: here I am.
- 1:35:59Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:36:01Speaker 2: Like, let me, I would like to find the image
- 1:36:05Speaker 2: and let me just, let me just share it with
- 1:36:07Speaker 2: you guys in our chat that way. Cause I know
- 1:36:10Speaker 2: obviously Nova hasn't seen it or not, but this is
- 1:36:12Speaker 2: not an AI picture. And I would just like you
- 1:36:14Speaker 2: guys to take a look at discord real quick.
- 1:36:16Speaker 4: Oh my God.
- 1:36:20Speaker 3: Why?
- 1:36:20Speaker 2: Oh my.
- 1:36:22Speaker 4: God.
- 1:36:23Speaker 2: How do you not notice him standing there? He is
- 1:36:27Speaker 2: right there.
- 1:36:28Speaker 4: Yes, he is.
- 1:36:31Speaker 5: Hey, Brandon, can you also mention something else I found
- 1:36:34Speaker 5: really funny?
- 1:36:35Speaker 3: It was like the Nick Sirianni's idiocy in his hot mic.
- 1:36:40Speaker 2: I did not catch that one, so I'm not quite
- 1:36:42Speaker 2: sure what you're referring to.
- 1:36:44Speaker 3: Oh, you want to know that one play where Jalen
- 1:36:47Speaker 3: Hurst was in the blue tent and then had that
- 1:36:50Speaker 3: Andy Dalton pick?
- 1:36:51Speaker 2: Andy Dalton comes out and throws an interception in the
- 1:36:53Speaker 2: end zone.
- 1:36:55Speaker 5: I mean, I don't want to be the first to
- 1:36:56Speaker 5: say something. I'm afraid for profanity, but.
- 1:37:01Speaker 3: Best put it the way I can reiterate this without cursing.
- 1:37:04Speaker 5: Hot mics to Jalen Hurts. You're a kitty. If that
- 1:37:11Speaker 5: isn't idiocy, I don't know what to tell you.
- 1:37:13Speaker 2: I had to Google it.
- 1:37:18Speaker 5: You literally hear Nick Sirianni say that.
- 1:37:23Speaker 2: Yeah, because of the word use, I will also refrain
- 1:37:26Speaker 2: from saying it, because it tends to be one of
- 1:37:28Speaker 2: the more frowned upon things in some societies. But that's funny.
- 1:37:37Speaker 3: At what point does the literature realize Sirianni's the problem?
- 1:37:41Speaker 2: Yeah... I.
- 1:37:44Speaker 5: Don't know.
- 1:37:45Speaker 3: First of all, it's embarrassing to say that you lost
- 1:37:47Speaker 3: that third stringer in Keisuke, but it's also more embarrassing
- 1:37:49Speaker 3: that you could have prevented that interception, because... If Jalen
- 1:37:53Speaker 3: Hurts isn't a blue 10 and he could have came
- 1:37:54Speaker 3: out the very next play, you could have just called
- 1:37:56Speaker 3: the timeout.
- 1:37:57Speaker 5: But nope.
- 1:37:58Speaker 3: You stick out Andy Dalton and you don't even blame Dalton.
- 1:38:00Speaker 3: You blame Jalen Hurts. Which is crazy.
- 1:38:05Speaker 2: Because, like, I don't know. I was hoping that last
- 1:38:08Speaker 2: week it was just one of those scenarios where Philadelphia
- 1:38:10Speaker 2: just kind of played down to their competition when they
- 1:38:12Speaker 2: struggled with Tennessee. And then you turn around and And
- 1:38:16Speaker 2: then you turn around and lose to a third stringer
- 1:38:19Speaker 2: in the Chicago Bears 27-7, and you still look like
- 1:38:23Speaker 2: crap as a QB. So I don't know what's going
- 1:38:25Speaker 2: on here with the entirety of Philadelphia, but they need
- 1:38:27Speaker 2: to stop it. Or keep going. I would prefer they
- 1:38:30Speaker 2: keep going. Hold on.
- 1:38:32Speaker 5: Let me find this so I can share it.
- 1:38:36Speaker 3: I'll find it while Talon goes on in the next section.
- 1:38:38Speaker 5: I'll go ahead and find it. Hold on. You can
- 1:38:40Speaker 5: carry on.
- 1:38:43Speaker 2: Hey Talon, what's your thoughts on this?
- 1:38:47Speaker 1: I will say this about the Eagles-Bears game. Andy Dalton,
- 1:38:53Speaker 1: why the fuck are you throwing that interception?
- 1:38:56Speaker 2: Why is he throwing the ball, period?
- 1:38:57Speaker 5: Okay, there we go. I posted it. I hope you
- 1:39:00Speaker 5: guys can see it.
- 1:39:05Speaker 4: Oh, he was saying it to the player.
- 1:39:09Speaker 2: Oh, he's saying it to DeMarco Jackson. Yeah, that checks out.
- 1:39:12Speaker 4: Yeah, it kind of checks out.
- 1:39:15Speaker 3: I mean, do we want to compare Nick Sirianni to
- 1:39:18Speaker 3: Mike Tomlin as a cheerleader?
- 1:39:19Speaker 2: I haven't seen Nick Sirianni tripping anybody going down the sidelines.
- 1:39:28Speaker 3: I'm going to be so 100.
- 1:39:30Speaker 5: I don't think he's a good head coach. I think
- 1:39:31Speaker 5: he got carried to a Super Bowl.
- 1:39:33Speaker 2: He definitely got carried to a Super Bowl.
- 1:39:37Speaker 1: Yeah, no, he definitely got carried to a Super Bowl, but...
- 1:39:42Speaker 1: That is going to end the week three recap. And
- 1:39:46Speaker 1: let's do it quickly to get through week four and
- 1:39:50Speaker 1: get us out of here, guys. It's week four predictions.
- 1:39:53Speaker 1: First up, Thursday night football. The Pittsburgh Steelers at the
- 1:39:56Speaker 1: Cleveland Browns. I know Nova will be watching this with
- 1:40:00Speaker 1: very bated breath.
- 1:40:02Speaker 5: If I'm not distracted by class, I will.
- 1:40:06Speaker 3: And also, I think my pick might upset Brandon because
- 1:40:08Speaker 3: I'm picking the Browns to win this one.
- 1:40:14Speaker 5: And you want to know why?
- 1:40:15Speaker 3: Because the Pittsburgh Steelers never do well in Cleveland for
- 1:40:18Speaker 3: some reason. And Brandon, your rebuttal?
- 1:40:24Speaker 2: I mean, hold on. Schedule week four.
- 1:40:33Speaker 3: The last time the Steelers did not lose to the
- 1:40:36Speaker 3: Browns in Cleveland was a tie.
- 1:40:40Speaker 2: I'm low-key hoping it was like that one playoff game
- 1:40:44Speaker 2: that Cleveland and Pittsburgh played, God knows when, where I
- 1:40:47Speaker 2: think Cleveland either did or came close to dropping 50
- 1:40:49Speaker 2: on them.
- 1:40:50Speaker 5: Yeah, that was 2021.
- 1:40:52Speaker 2: Yeah, 2021, yeah. I hope it's like that, but I
- 1:40:54Speaker 2: hope it's with Shutter Sanders under center.
- 1:40:56Speaker 5: It's not happening.
- 1:40:58Speaker 2: I refuse to acknowledge him. Leave me alone.
- 1:41:02Speaker 5: We're being forced to, unfortunately.
- 1:41:04Speaker 2: Also, just a kind of noteworthy commentary regarding next week's schedule.
- 1:41:10Speaker 2: It is the very first Sunday for our London games. Oh,
- 1:41:14Speaker 2: because that will be Indianapolis versus Washington at Tottenham stadium.
- 1:41:21Speaker 4: I completely forgot that that was a London game.
- 1:41:26Speaker 2: Yup. It is a London game.
- 1:41:28Speaker 1: Well, now I have something to watch and listen to
- 1:41:31Speaker 1: while I'm driving to my local.
- 1:41:34Speaker 2: Nine 30 in the morning, Eastern standard time.
- 1:41:37Speaker 3: All right, so we'll get that pick really much immediately
- 1:41:40Speaker 3: after what you guys think will happen between the Pittsburgh
- 1:41:42Speaker 3: Steelers and the Cleveland Browns.
- 1:41:43Speaker 5: What are your picks?
- 1:41:45Speaker 2: I think Cleveland wins it, honestly.
- 1:41:56Speaker 1: I'll give it Cleveland. I'll give Cleveland this game. If
- 1:42:01Speaker 1: this was in Pittsburgh, I probably would have taken the
- 1:42:03Speaker 1: Steelers to win.
- 1:42:05Speaker 5: I'll believe you. I would, too.
- 1:42:08Speaker 2: All right.
- 1:42:08Speaker 4: Well, Brandon, you brought it up.
- 1:42:10Speaker 1: It's the international series coming up. So who do you
- 1:42:16Speaker 1: got in the first international series, Indianapolis or Washington?
- 1:42:19Speaker 2: I don't know. I think this one's kind of a toss.
- 1:42:25Speaker 2: If Mariota can carry over like he did against the
- 1:42:29Speaker 2: defending Super Bowl champions, this might be a Washington game. Um,
- 1:42:36Speaker 2: but honestly, I think, I think this is a game
- 1:42:38Speaker 2: where Indianapolis finds continues to find their footing after beating
- 1:42:42Speaker 2: the Texans. Um, because they did, they did have decent
- 1:42:46Speaker 2: games against two very tough opponents week one and week
- 1:42:50Speaker 2: two of the Ravens and the Jeeves. So the start
- 1:42:52Speaker 2: of their slate was not exactly the most, you know,
- 1:42:55Speaker 2: friendly in the world. Um, so I definitely think they
- 1:42:58Speaker 2: kind of take advantage of a small break. I think
- 1:43:00Speaker 2: it's going to be Indy on this one.
- 1:43:04Speaker 4: So you're picking Indy.
- 1:43:05Speaker 2: Pick an Indy.
- 1:43:07Speaker 4: Pick an Indy, and that's who I'm going with. Nova,
- 1:43:10Speaker 4: who are you picking?
- 1:43:11Speaker 5: Do I want to believe because.
- 1:43:15Speaker 3: The last time the Indianapolis Colts went international, they barely
- 1:43:18Speaker 3: beat the Falcons in overtime.
- 1:43:19Speaker 4: And that was in Germany.
- 1:43:23Speaker 5: Yeah, I had to specify Europe, so.
- 1:43:29Speaker 5: See, my factor is just like, how.
- 1:43:32Speaker 3: is this commander senior to convert because their defense has
- 1:43:35Speaker 3: not been good, but I really don't trust Indy, but
- 1:43:43Speaker 3: I guess for this game, I will go Indianapolis as
- 1:43:45Speaker 3: much as I don't want to trust them.
- 1:43:48Speaker 5: All right.
- 1:43:49Speaker 1: We are in unison for Indianapolis and Washington. I think
- 1:43:53Speaker 1: this one might be the first that we differ on
- 1:43:56Speaker 1: the battle of Texas, Dallas at Houston.
- 1:44:07Speaker 5: Give me Houston. I don't, I mean, I think if
- 1:44:09Speaker 5: you ask me so as anything, do not trust the Cowboys.
- 1:44:12Speaker 2: Hmm.
- 1:44:17Speaker 5: Essentially, defense is actually picking up now.
- 1:44:19Speaker 3: And if that defense or Houston picks up against Dak
- 1:44:24Speaker 3: Prescott and co, I can only imagine that the Cowboys
- 1:44:28Speaker 3: defense would just get equally exposed.
- 1:44:32Speaker 1: Well, This is where we're going to differ because for me,
- 1:44:36Speaker 1: as much as I hate the Cowboys because of my
- 1:44:40Speaker 1: parents being Cowboys fans, yeah!
- 1:44:46Speaker 4: Here we go! God, I hate that.
- 1:44:49Speaker 5: I heard that cadence the entire time in Rio. I
- 1:44:52Speaker 5: hate it.
- 1:44:52Speaker 4: God, I hate that cadence.
- 1:44:56Speaker 2: I'd rather listen to Peyton Manning scream Omaha every snap.
- 1:45:01Speaker 3: I thought you said Aaron Rodgers 318 or something like that.
- 1:45:04Speaker 2: I hate that one too.
- 1:45:06Speaker 4: All right, but Brandon, who are you taking?
- 1:45:13Speaker 2: Honestly, I'm taking Dallas on this one.
- 1:45:17Speaker 4: All right. Picking Dallas. All right. Next one on the list.
- 1:45:22Speaker 4: Jets had Chicago.
- 1:45:25Speaker 2: Chicago. Chicago.
- 1:45:31Speaker 1: I kind of want to go Chicago myself, but this
- 1:45:34Speaker 1: one screams trap game.
- 1:45:37Speaker 2: I don't think so. I don't think so. New York
- 1:45:39Speaker 2: is playing really good football.
- 1:45:41Speaker 5: They really are.
- 1:45:42Speaker 2: I still think this is a Chicago game, though.
- 1:45:49Speaker 3: Who's going to be starting that game? Isn't Tyson Bajent
- 1:45:51Speaker 3: out of concussion protocol?
- 1:45:54Speaker 4: Yes.
- 1:45:58Speaker 5: Ooh. Will they start Bajent, though?
- 1:46:03Speaker 2: Only time will tell.
- 1:46:08Speaker 5: Because like, I don't know. Actually, I do know. I'm
- 1:46:12Speaker 5: picking the Jets.
- 1:46:14Speaker 4: All right. Nova picking the Jets.
- 1:46:20Speaker 5: All right.
- 1:46:20Speaker 1: Now let's see if Brandon will pick his Patriots.
- 1:46:25Speaker 4: Or will he pick the Buffalo Bay?
- 1:46:26Speaker 5: Did you make your pick?
- 1:46:28Speaker 1: Yeah, I said I picked Chicago. I said this game
- 1:46:31Speaker 1: could be a trap game. But now, Brandon, are you
- 1:46:35Speaker 1: taking your Patriots to beat Buffalo?
- 1:46:39Speaker 2: Absolutely not taking them. I'm not taking. I'm not taking
- 1:46:44Speaker 2: Trent Dilfer and the Patriots. I'm not. I'm not. Look,
- 1:46:52Speaker 2: I cannot in good faith pick my team anymore unless
- 1:46:54Speaker 2: it's a trap game against a team that's just as
- 1:46:56Speaker 2: bad as we are.
- 1:46:57Speaker 3: This does not look like a trap game, though.
- 1:47:00Speaker 2: Of course it's not a trap game because Buffalo's better.
- 1:47:03Speaker 5: No, this sounds like a trap game.
- 1:47:04Speaker 2: What do you mean?
- 1:47:06Speaker 4: We suck.
- 1:47:07Speaker 2: No, this is Buffalo's game. This is Buffalo's game to lose. No. No,
- 1:47:15Speaker 2: it's going to be Buffalo. It's going to be Buffalo
- 1:47:17Speaker 2: by at least two scores.
- 1:47:20Speaker 5: Call me crazy. Buffalo wins, but it's going to be
- 1:47:23Speaker 5: by a field goal. I think it's going to be
- 1:47:24Speaker 5: a close one.
- 1:47:25Speaker 2: I think you're giving us too much credit.
- 1:47:27Speaker 5: No, I'm giving you the credit. This is a trap game.
- 1:47:31Speaker 2: He just wants New England's fantasy defense to do well.
- 1:47:35Speaker 4: Yeah, I think that's why.
- 1:47:37Speaker 1: But, I mean, I'm also taking Buffalo to win, but
- 1:47:40Speaker 1: I'm saying it's going to be.
- 1:47:42Speaker 4: No more than eight points.
- 1:47:45Speaker 5: Well, am I the only one thinking that's going to be, like,
- 1:47:47Speaker 5: no more than three?
- 1:47:49Speaker 1: Yes, because I think it's a less than 1% chance
- 1:47:55Speaker 1: that it's decided by Andy Borgalis or Tyler Bass.
- 1:48:03Speaker 4: I think it's a less than 1% chance.
- 1:48:05Speaker 1: But moving on to the next game, it's a Battle
- 1:48:09Speaker 1: of Cats, guys. Now, did you ever see the musical Cats?
- 1:48:14Speaker 1: Don't answer that question because it's not a word scene.
- 1:48:17Speaker 1: But this is a musical word scene in Jacksonville and Cincinnati.
- 1:48:24Speaker 5: And it's in Paycor?
- 1:48:26Speaker 4: It's in Paycor.
- 1:48:27Speaker 2: That's in Paycor. That one actually might be an interesting one.
- 1:48:33Speaker 5: Did they play each other last year? I don't remember.
- 1:48:35Speaker 4: I don't think so. I think it was two years ago.
- 1:48:41Speaker 5: Oh, no, wait.
- 1:48:41Speaker 3: I think they did. I think, yeah, I think Cincy
- 1:48:45Speaker 3: barely won that game.
- 1:48:46Speaker 2: Last play was September 14th, 25, Cincy won 31-27. Okay, so.
- 1:48:55Speaker 4: Nova, who are you taking?
- 1:48:57Speaker 3: I don't want to be the one to do this,
- 1:48:58Speaker 3: but I just can't trust the Jacksonville defense long-term.
- 1:49:00Speaker 5: I think the Bengals do win.
- 1:49:05Speaker 4: And Brandon, who are you taking?
- 1:49:06Speaker 2: I'm taking Jacksonville.
- 1:49:09Speaker 4: All right, Brandon's taking Jacksonville.
- 1:49:12Speaker 1: And just because, again, I do enjoy doing this because
- 1:49:18Speaker 1: it's fun.
- 1:49:18Speaker 2: Don't quit your day job.
- 1:49:27Speaker 1: Probably won't be quitting my day job because I'm not
- 1:49:30Speaker 1: a trumpeter for the prince that was promised. But yeah, no,
- 1:49:34Speaker 1: I'm taking Jacksonville to win. Next game, Arizona at the Giants.
- 1:49:41Speaker 3: Oh God, that's going to be deceptively bad.
- 1:49:44Speaker 2: Where tickets are as low as $ 45. $ 45?
- 1:49:45Speaker 5: $ 45.
- 1:49:45Speaker 2: I'm going to spew.
- 1:49:54Speaker 5: My hot take right now. I think JJ McCarthy starts.
- 1:49:59Speaker 4: But do you think JJ McCarthy wins?
- 1:50:02Speaker 2: Yes.
- 1:50:04Speaker 5: Oh, I think the Giants win. Their defense looks so
- 1:50:10Speaker 5: damn good.
- 1:50:12Speaker 4: And Brandon, who are you taking?
- 1:50:14Speaker 2: I don't think JJ McCarthy starts, but I think Arizona wins.
- 1:50:18Speaker 2: I think it becomes a Trey McBride show.
- 1:50:21Speaker 4: That's who I'm thinking.
- 1:50:22Speaker 1: It's Arizona's game because I don't think I wouldn't be
- 1:50:27Speaker 1: surprised if JJ McCarthy gets in this game, but I
- 1:50:31Speaker 1: think Jameis is going to get the start.
- 1:50:33Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:50:35Speaker 1: After what happened last week, I wouldn't think so. Again, though,
- 1:50:39Speaker 1: that was an ugly game in the rain. So it's like,
- 1:50:42Speaker 1: I don't know what the weather's going to be like
- 1:50:45Speaker 1: in East Rutherford this week. I mean, is the Nor'easter
- 1:50:50Speaker 1: ending sometime in the next 96 hours? Um.
- 1:51:02Speaker 1: We're getting a live weather update right now.
- 1:51:08Speaker 2: When did the Nor'easter start?
- 1:51:11Speaker 4: I think it was sometime in the middle of last week.
- 1:51:16Speaker 2: According to Yahoo News, three days ago, question mark? Yes. Well,
- 1:51:24Speaker 2: two days ago, according to Fox Weather, it says Nor'easter
- 1:51:26Speaker 2: brings final day of rain. Two days ago. So it
- 1:51:30Speaker 2: should be ending slash over at the time of this recording.
- 1:51:34Speaker 4: Yeah, give me the Cardinals.
- 1:51:37Speaker 5: Okay, I'm noticing a theme. I'm the lone wolf on
- 1:51:39Speaker 5: a lot of these picks.
- 1:51:41Speaker 2: According to the temperature in East Rutherford, New Jersey right now,
- 1:51:44Speaker 2: it is partly cloudy. So it's over.
- 1:51:49Speaker 5: Okay. All right.
- 1:51:51Speaker 4: Next game.
- 1:51:54Speaker 1: Do we really have to ask if Tennessee is going
- 1:51:56Speaker 1: to be Baltimore?
- 1:51:59Speaker 5: If we wait down to our competition like we always do, probably.
- 1:52:02Speaker 5: But I think we blow them out.
- 1:52:05Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean, I'm picking Baltimore in this game. Brandon,
- 1:52:08Speaker 4: you going to be.
- 1:52:08Speaker 5: The lone wolf? No, not at all.
- 1:52:10Speaker 2: This is a Baltimore game.
- 1:52:14Speaker 1: Yeah, I think this week is going to be a
- 1:52:16Speaker 1: lot more unison games.
- 1:52:21Speaker 4: Now, this one might be different because it's Rams and Phillies.
- 1:52:26Speaker 5: Oh, God. The fake Dream Team against the fraud.
- 1:52:31Speaker 2: Which one's which?
- 1:52:33Speaker 4: Yes.
- 1:52:35Speaker 5: I think Philadelphia's more the fraud.
- 1:52:37Speaker 2: I think they're both pretty fraudulent at this point, honestly,
- 1:52:40Speaker 2: so it could go either way. I'm picking the Rams.
- 1:52:43Speaker 2: I'm also picking the Rams.
- 1:52:45Speaker 4: I am also picking the Rams.
- 1:52:48Speaker 2: It's been Devontae Adams. I need another Devontae Adams primetime game. Like,
- 1:52:52Speaker 2: I need this. I need, yeah, I need prime Devontae
- 1:52:55Speaker 2: Adams again.
- 1:52:57Speaker 3: I think the only thing Philadelphia fans should pray for
- 1:52:59Speaker 3: is they pray for the day that Sirianni gets fired.
- 1:53:01Speaker 1: I think they'll actually climb the light poles again if
- 1:53:06Speaker 1: that happens.
- 1:53:10Speaker 2: I'd pay to see that.
- 1:53:11Speaker 4: I'd pay to see it too.
- 1:53:13Speaker 1: And I'm also curious if What do you guys think
- 1:53:17Speaker 1: I should do? Should I go and cast a Pokemon
- 1:53:21Speaker 1: VGC tournament in Orlando, which is a two-hour drive, or
- 1:53:25Speaker 1: should I pay money to go watch Green Bay play Tampa?
- 1:53:29Speaker 2: That sounds like a waste of money.
- 1:53:31Speaker 5: No, that sounds like pain.
- 1:53:34Speaker 2: So, a waste of money, yeah. Waste of money equals
- 1:53:37Speaker 2: pain in this economy.
- 1:53:39Speaker 5: It's a pay for both teams.
- 1:53:42Speaker 4: Which equals a Green Bay win.
- 1:53:45Speaker 2: Correct.
- 1:53:46Speaker 3: If this is the game Tampa wins, it'd be hilarious.
- 1:53:51Speaker 3: I'm picking Green Bay, but I'm just saying it'd be
- 1:53:53Speaker 3: hilarious if Tampa wins this one.
- 1:53:55Speaker 4: It would be hilarious.
- 1:53:57Speaker 1: Anybody think Miami is going to beat Minnesota?
- 1:54:02Speaker 2: Not a chance. No, with 8chan out.
- 1:54:06Speaker 4: Yeah, with 8chan out, I don't think it's likely.
- 1:54:10Speaker 5: I'm trying to think. How bad is that quarterback play?
- 1:54:14Speaker 5: What happens if Kyla Marie has a... Okay.
- 1:54:17Speaker 1: We're doing it all over.
- 1:54:18Speaker 5: I can't speak. Nice. The NHL is a starter season,
- 1:54:25Speaker 5: and these guys just want to start fistfights.
- 1:54:27Speaker 2: Yeah, we like fistfights.
- 1:54:29Speaker 5: Which, by the way, congrats to Florida beating the Carolina
- 1:54:32Speaker 5: Hurricanes 1-0 in overtime.
- 1:54:33Speaker 2: Blue. Blue.
- 1:54:36Speaker 4: Yippee!
- 1:54:36Speaker 3: I'm picking Minnesota, but if this becomes a trap game,
- 1:54:39Speaker 3: don't be surprised.
- 1:54:43Speaker 2: I think Miami's got a lot of work to do
- 1:54:44Speaker 2: with a minus 10.5 to, you know, make it a
- 1:54:47Speaker 2: trap game.
- 1:54:48Speaker 5: It might be covered. The quarterback play is terrible for Minnesota.
- 1:54:53Speaker 4: Yeah, but I don't think it's going to be terrible.
- 1:54:56Speaker 1: But, I mean, a game that's going to be sneaky
- 1:54:59Speaker 1: good is Kansas City at the Raiders.
- 1:55:04Speaker 2: I don't think this one's going to be sneaky. I
- 1:55:05Speaker 2: think this one will be good. If the Raiders can
- 1:55:09Speaker 2: play to the level they've been playing so far, this
- 1:55:14Speaker 2: honestly might be one of the most, this probably might
- 1:55:16Speaker 2: be the most interesting game of the week.
- 1:55:20Speaker 5: Now imagine they flex at the Sunday night football.
- 1:55:24Speaker 1: They can't because flex scheduling only works from week five onward.
- 1:55:29Speaker 5: That's the only thing I wish. I'm picking Kansas City.
- 1:55:36Speaker 4: And Brandon?
- 1:55:37Speaker 2: I'm picking the Raiders. I'm picking that black hole, baby.
- 1:55:41Speaker 2: I like that. Look, I know numbers are numbers, and
- 1:55:46Speaker 2: I know early is early, but the Raiders have a
- 1:55:49Speaker 2: top three defense in the NFL right now. I would
- 1:55:51Speaker 2: like to see them hold this up against the Chiefs.
- 1:55:55Speaker 2: If they can beat the Chiefs and maintain a good defense,
- 1:55:58Speaker 2: I'll be a believer in the Raiders for the season.
- 1:56:03Speaker 1: I mean, that's an interesting way to put it. Moving on,
- 1:56:08Speaker 1: Denver at San Francisco.
- 1:56:12Speaker 3: Okay, the better question to ask is, is Tebow Mania
- 1:56:15Speaker 3: going to happen again?
- 1:56:16Speaker 4: I'm going to say yes because I'm picking Denver.
- 1:56:24Speaker 2: Nova, what are you picking?
- 1:56:26Speaker 5: What are you going to pick? The substation?
- 1:56:29Speaker 2: What are you picking there, Nova?
- 1:56:31Speaker 5: What about you?
- 1:56:33Speaker 2: You first.
- 1:56:34Speaker 5: Well, I got you.
- 1:56:36Speaker 2: Alright, I'm picking San Francisco.
- 1:56:39Speaker 5: Give it to Devil Magic. Fourth quarter, come back Kings.
- 1:56:41Speaker 5: Denver's going to do it again. Jesus Christ.
- 1:56:50Speaker 4: I mean, you kind of knew it. I wonder about
- 1:56:52Speaker 4: this one, though.
- 1:56:54Speaker 1: Nova, will you take the charges to beat the Seahawks?
- 1:56:59Speaker 5: Why do I feel like this is a chop game?
- 1:57:01Speaker 5: Why do I feel this way?
- 1:57:03Speaker 2: Because they lost to the Commanders.
- 1:57:06Speaker 5: No, it's more like the perception is like, buy turnovers.
- 1:57:10Speaker 3: There has to be some pressure because, again, I'm thinking
- 1:57:12Speaker 3: the Chargers go 0-9. Sorry, Jeff, about that one. I,
- 1:57:15Speaker 3: for some reason, think this is a trap game because
- 1:57:17Speaker 3: the Chargers are trying to play with pressure. It's just like,
- 1:57:21Speaker 3: I for sure think the Seahawks win, but I, for
- 1:57:23Speaker 3: some reason, think it's going to be a four-point spread.
- 1:57:29Speaker 4: So, you're picking the Chargers?
- 1:57:31Speaker 5: No, I'm picking the Seahawks, but I think it's going
- 1:57:33Speaker 5: to be a very ugly game.
- 1:57:36Speaker 4: And Brandon, what about you?
- 1:57:37Speaker 2: I'm going with the Seahawks.
- 1:57:44Speaker 4: All right, that's the Seahawks pick. What about you?
- 1:57:47Speaker 1: I'll pick in Seattle. I don't see the Chargers having
- 1:57:53Speaker 1: any shot of beating Seattle.
- 1:57:55Speaker 2: No, I think Seattle has a fire lit under their
- 1:57:58Speaker 2: ass after their loss to Washington.
- 1:58:00Speaker 1: I mean, I'd go so far as to say JSN
- 1:58:03Speaker 1: has three touchdowns in the first half.
- 1:58:06Speaker 2: I think that might be a little much.
- 1:58:08Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:58:09Speaker 2: I think that's more of our hot take.
- 1:58:13Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:58:14Speaker 1: I mean, but we've got two more games left. First,
- 1:58:17Speaker 1: the Sunday night game, Detroit at Carolina.
- 1:58:24Speaker 5: Did the Lions score 30 on the Panthers defense?
- 1:58:28Speaker 2: Yes.
- 1:58:30Speaker 4: Do they win, though?
- 1:58:32Speaker 2: No. I'm going with Carolina.
- 1:58:35Speaker 4: Brandon is picking the Panthers.
- 1:58:38Speaker 2: I'm going with Carolina. I'm going to be a wild
- 1:58:41Speaker 2: card on this one. So let me be clear. Realistically,
- 1:58:46Speaker 2: I do not think the Panthers win. But I want
- 1:58:50Speaker 2: to see the Panthers win this game.
- 1:58:52Speaker 5: Here's the thing.
- 1:58:53Speaker 3: If Ted Arroyo and Mick Millen, Xavier Leguette, Jalen Coker,
- 1:58:56Speaker 3: Darren Waller. Because remember, that Lions secondary is terrible. That's
- 1:59:01Speaker 3: what I'm saying.
- 1:59:03Speaker 4: Isn't Coker going to be out for this game?
- 1:59:05Speaker 5: Oh, right.
- 1:59:06Speaker 2: Is he?
- 1:59:07Speaker 1: I'm pretty sure he has a quad strain, right?
- 1:59:14Speaker 4: Or a hamstring strain.
- 1:59:16Speaker 2: Jalen Coker, as of September 28th, has been diagnosed with
- 1:59:21Speaker 2: a minor quad strain and could be available to play
- 1:59:24Speaker 2: in next Sunday's game against the Lions.
- 1:59:28Speaker 4: Okay, so he'll be limited.
- 1:59:31Speaker 2: Yeah, probably be limited.
- 1:59:32Speaker 4: Give me Detroit!
- 1:59:35Speaker 3: See, I have the tough pick here, because I do
- 1:59:38Speaker 3: believe Bryce Duncan scored 30 points on the Lions' defense,
- 1:59:42Speaker 3: but it's just like, can the Lions do the same
- 1:59:44Speaker 3: to the Panthers' defense? Because, like, they held Cleveland, who's
- 1:59:48Speaker 3: apparently a legit team, to only 21. That's more on
- 1:59:51Speaker 3: the offense than the defense, I'm going to be honest.
- 1:59:53Speaker 3: And then they had the 59-point thing against the Bears,
- 1:59:55Speaker 3: so it's like, I can't tell.
- 1:59:57Speaker 5: So, um.
- 1:59:59Speaker 2: I.
- 2:00:00Speaker 5: I feel with no confidence with this pick, but I
- 2:00:02Speaker 5: am picking Detroit. All right.
- 2:00:06Speaker 1: Nova is picking Detroit, and I just want to throw
- 2:00:10Speaker 1: this out to you because I'm trying to pull this out.
- 2:00:15Speaker 4: I think they have this... Let's see.
- 2:00:22Speaker 5: As he's away from his microphone.
- 2:00:24Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm a little away from the microphone there.
- 2:00:27Speaker 2: Um.
- 2:00:29Speaker 4: Let's see, career.
- 2:00:30Speaker 1: So Bryce Young, according to his career, has three late
- 2:00:44Speaker 1: window games, which is classified as 7 p.m. or later,
- 2:00:47Speaker 1: and he is 0-3 in those games.
- 2:00:52Speaker 5: Thanks for reminding me about his blunder against San Francisco.
- 2:00:58Speaker 2: Yep.
- 2:00:59Speaker 1: But there's one game left to pick for this week,
- 2:01:03Speaker 1: and it's on my 30th birthday. The Atlanta Falcons at
- 2:01:08Speaker 1: the New Orleans Saints. It's the Katrina game from 20
- 2:01:13Speaker 1: years ago.
- 2:01:15Speaker 4: It's my birthday. Falcons by five.
- 2:01:21Speaker 3: Wait, how are we getting a five-way difference?
- 2:01:25Speaker 5: What's going to happen?
- 2:01:26Speaker 2: There's a safety somewhere.
- 2:01:31Speaker 5: That sounds like a failed two-play conversion. Let's be real.
- 2:01:34Speaker 4: No, I'll just say a late touchdown or something like that.
- 2:01:37Speaker 5: Should I start Tyler Shuck?
- 2:01:40Speaker 2: If I have Tyler Shuck in fantasy, I'm starting Tyler Shuck.
- 2:01:43Speaker 2: I've got the Saints by at least a score.
- 2:01:47Speaker 4: Alright, no vote?
- 2:01:53Speaker 5: Honestly? Give me the Falcons.
- 2:01:58Speaker 2: Am I the odd man out this week?
- 2:02:02Speaker 4: Let's see. You got one, two, three. Yeah, you've got
- 2:02:13Speaker 4: three games that you're the odd man out.
- 2:02:18Speaker 5: I think I have five.
- 2:02:21Speaker 4: Nova has one, two, three, four. You got four.
- 2:02:30Speaker 5: The Jaden Daniels thing, cool.
- 2:02:34Speaker 2: RIP.
- 2:02:35Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 2:02:36Speaker 1: I mean, in all fairness, this actually could help Brandon
- 2:02:38Speaker 1: close the gap in the overall picks because, again, Nova
- 2:02:44Speaker 1: with winning week three now has a one-game lead. You
- 2:02:48Speaker 1: are outright in first place. And then I am in
- 2:02:53Speaker 1: second place with a 28-20 record, and Brandon is 23-25.
- 2:03:02Speaker 2: At least I'm doing better than Drake May.
- 2:03:05Speaker 5: Imagine that this is the week I get separation.
- 2:03:10Speaker 1: I mean, it's possible you could get separation or I
- 2:03:14Speaker 1: get separation. But without further ado, ladies and gentlemen, before
- 2:03:24Speaker 1: Brandon and Nova give their ruffling the feathers, because I've
- 2:03:26Speaker 1: already given mine on Bryce Young. Again, I brought up
- 2:03:30Speaker 1: those barstool, like the computer power rankings. I just want
- 2:03:34Speaker 1: to run them by you guys real quick. So, juggernauts, Buffalo,
- 2:03:39Speaker 1: Kansas City, San Francisco. The 3-0 Raiders. It's just the Raiders.
- 2:03:46Speaker 1: Super Bowl contenders, Seattle, Denver, Jacksonville, Chicago, and Baltimore. Juggernaut
- 2:03:54Speaker 1: on defense, offense, doo-doo. That's the Vikings. Good teams, even
- 2:04:00Speaker 1: if it hasn't looked perfect. Bengals, Lions, Rams. Game of
- 2:04:06Speaker 1: the century Thursday night, Pittsburgh and Cleveland. You just got
- 2:04:12Speaker 1: Keenum'd by, and that's the Eagles.
- 2:04:16Speaker 2: Keenum'd is crazy.
- 2:04:19Speaker 1: Jameis just needs more time. The Giants, Jameis, and Andy Dalton.
- 2:04:26Speaker 1: Giants better not start this guy over Jameis since J.J.
- 2:04:30Speaker 4: McCarthy.
- 2:04:31Speaker 5: I have a feeling they will.
- 2:04:32Speaker 2: Jackson Dart, Jameis Wanson, J.J. McCarthy. They like their J's.
- 2:04:38Speaker 1: Fun and frisky, the Jets. Loser leaves town and the
- 2:04:43Speaker 1: town is England, Washington, and Indianapolis. The panic button has
- 2:04:48Speaker 1: been smashed. Green Bay, Houston, New England, and Dallas.
- 2:04:54Speaker 2: I've already smashed the panic button. Yeah, absolutely.
- 2:04:57Speaker 1: The obligatory cannons tier, which is nothing but cannons, like
- 2:05:03Speaker 1: the good kind of cannons. The one and two teams
- 2:05:08Speaker 1: in the NFC South, Saints, Panthers, Falcons. The ass team
- 2:05:14Speaker 1: in the NFC South, the Buccaneers.
- 2:05:17Speaker 4: Jail.
- 2:05:19Speaker 1: the uh player from usc who basically tried to kill
- 2:05:23Speaker 1: dante more.
- 2:05:24Speaker 3: Christ they always suspended him a game by the way
- 2:05:29Speaker 3: he says a lot about usc.
- 2:05:31Speaker 2: No they kicked him off the team wait did they
- 2:05:34Speaker 2: really i thought they kicked i thought they kicked him
- 2:05:36Speaker 2: off the team no i i thought it was just
- 2:05:41Speaker 2: one game i thought last i saw he was suspended indefinitely.
- 2:05:46Speaker 4: I think that might be a different person, but final ones.
- 2:05:50Speaker 1: Week one was cool. That's the Arizona Cardinals. Bad and
- 2:05:55Speaker 1: possibly broken beyond repair, the Chargers. Mega ass cheeks by design,
- 2:06:03Speaker 1: the Dolphins. Mega ass cheeks, and it's somehow getting worse,
- 2:06:08Speaker 1: and football might be a worthless endeavor, the Titans.
- 2:06:15Speaker 5: You might want to play that clip again.
- 2:06:18Speaker 4: Oh, you mean this clip?
- 2:06:19Speaker 5: I mean, if we're keeping a book right now, we ass.
- 2:06:23Speaker 3: He's never going to live that down.
- 2:06:28Speaker 4: No, he's never going to live that down.
- 2:06:30Speaker 1: But ladies and gentlemen, final thing today, we are going
- 2:06:34Speaker 1: to ruffle some feathers. You guys already got mine with
- 2:06:37Speaker 1: Bryce Young is the new Jameis Winston of the NFC South.
- 2:06:41Speaker 1: And I will die on that argument right now. But
- 2:06:45Speaker 1: Brandon Nova, what do you guys got for the people?
- 2:06:48Speaker 2: What you got, Nova?
- 2:06:50Speaker 3: I mean, I'm probably going to be wrong about this,
- 2:06:53Speaker 3: but I'm just saying it anyway. I think JJ McCarthy
- 2:06:54Speaker 3: starts with the Giants, and he leads a comeback drive
- 2:06:57Speaker 3: against the Cardinals.
- 2:07:01Speaker 4: Mmm.
- 2:07:04Speaker 1: That's spicy right there, Brandon.
- 2:07:07Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 2:07:08Speaker 2: So to offer some earlier clarification, yeah, no, I definitely
- 2:07:11Speaker 2: got some things mixed up there. Because that player from
- 2:07:16Speaker 2: University of Southern California hit a QB from Oregon, and
- 2:07:23Speaker 2: he was only suspended from one game. And what I'm
- 2:07:26Speaker 2: thinking of is the other USC, University of South Carolina,
- 2:07:31Speaker 2: where their edge rusher threw a punch at Josh Ford,
- 2:07:35Speaker 2: and he was in fact suspended indefinitely from the team.
- 2:07:39Speaker 2: So USC versus USC, it's I do it all the time.
- 2:07:45Speaker 2: As far as my particular hot take is concerned, I'm
- 2:07:48Speaker 2: going to kind of play off a statement that Talon
- 2:07:51Speaker 2: said earlier that I've actually low-key been thinking anyway, is
- 2:07:55Speaker 2: I think this could possibly be a Brock Purdy for...
- 2:08:00Speaker 2: MVP year. And let me kind of just, and I
- 2:08:05Speaker 2: pulled this up earlier when he was talking about it.
- 2:08:08Speaker 2: Through three games in the NFL of this 2026 NFL season,
- 2:08:12Speaker 2: Josh Allen has thrown for 786 yards, five passing TDs,
- 2:08:20Speaker 2: And two picks, right? Not including rushing touchdowns, right? But
- 2:08:25Speaker 2: his rushing statistics, 28 carries, 114 and six scores, right?
- 2:08:32Speaker 4: Yeah, something like that.
- 2:08:33Speaker 2: Brock Purdy. So it's also kind of go back. So
- 2:08:37Speaker 2: Josh Allen also has a completion percentage of 65.1%. Passer
- 2:08:43Speaker 2: rating 104.1. Not terrible. Through three games, Brock Purdy. has
- 2:08:50Speaker 2: thrown for 789 passing yards, so three more passing yards
- 2:08:55Speaker 2: than Josh Allen. He's only had five passing touchdowns, one
- 2:09:01Speaker 2: rushing touchdown, but he's posting a 72.3% completion.
- 2:09:10Speaker 5: Hmm.
- 2:09:11Speaker 2: He's definitely delivering a more accurate game. He's by no
- 2:09:14Speaker 2: means a mobile QB like Josh Allen is, and he's
- 2:09:16Speaker 2: never going to be. That's not a jab on him.
- 2:09:19Speaker 2: That's just how he is as a QB. But he's
- 2:09:23Speaker 2: definitely having an arguably better season outside of scoring than
- 2:09:28Speaker 2: Josh Allen is. Because he has nine passing touchdowns to
- 2:09:32Speaker 2: Josh Allen's five. And his QBR is 133.1. Hmm. I
- 2:09:49Speaker 2: don't think as of week three, I don't think it's
- 2:09:53Speaker 2: too much of a hot take to say Brock Purdy
- 2:09:55Speaker 2: is having an MVP season. But if he can keep
- 2:09:58Speaker 2: this up, he's having an MVP season.
- 2:10:03Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, he's definitely having an MVP season right now.
- 2:10:11Speaker 2: So, oh, there you go. I think Brock Purdy's got
- 2:10:13Speaker 2: a really strong chance for MVP.
- 2:10:17Speaker 1: I mean, it's a good one right now, but ladies
- 2:10:22Speaker 1: and gentlemen, that is going to end episode number 10
- 2:10:25Speaker 1: of the Ruffling the Feathers podcast. I mean, guys, hard
- 2:10:28Speaker 1: to believe we've gone through 10 episodes already.
- 2:10:31Speaker 4: Isn't it?
- 2:10:32Speaker 2: Yeah, it's crazy.
- 2:10:34Speaker 4: I mean, I.
- 2:10:38Speaker 1: Think after this, I think I need one of these.
- 2:10:47Speaker 1: I think I need some cold ones, don't you, Brandon?
- 2:10:52Speaker 2: The only thing that I'm going to make myself cold
- 2:10:54Speaker 2: with is my air conditioner box fan and me curling
- 2:10:56Speaker 2: up in bed as soon as we hit stop on
- 2:10:58Speaker 2: this recording.
- 2:10:59Speaker 4: Okay. That that's definitely fair.
- 2:11:03Speaker 1: But ladies and gentlemen, as we end this podcast, again,
- 2:11:06Speaker 1: we want to thank you guys for all your support
- 2:11:09Speaker 1: for everybody who has listened to the podcast so far.
- 2:11:12Speaker 1: And I will tell you this right now. If you
- 2:11:15Speaker 1: guys want on Monday night, you can watch the Falcons
- 2:11:18Speaker 1: and saints with me live. On Twitch, you can search
- 2:11:23Speaker 1: me on Twitch. My name is talentmasterj over there on
- 2:11:26Speaker 1: that website.
- 2:11:27Speaker 4: I will be.
- 2:11:28Speaker 1: Watching and reacting to the Monday Night Football game live
- 2:11:33Speaker 1: with everybody. And then in week five, I think Nova
- 2:11:37Speaker 1: and I will be doing the same with the Sunday
- 2:11:39Speaker 1: Night game because that'll be Nova versus me.
- 2:11:45Speaker 5: Can't wait for that one.
- 2:11:46Speaker 4: I know that also.
- 2:11:48Speaker 4: And note it all.
- 2:11:49Speaker 1: Oh, wait, I'm sorry, Brandon. I can't hear you over the...
- 2:11:53Speaker 1: I was waiting for this for an end. How does
- 2:11:56Speaker 1: it feel being over there and I lost to Talon
- 2:11:59Speaker 1: in Fantasyland?
- 2:12:01Speaker 2: Oh, I actually lost? Oh, yeah, no, that's fine. I
- 2:12:04Speaker 2: paid no attention to that, to be so for real
- 2:12:05Speaker 2: with you. Yeah, because, like, once I saw Jalen Cochran
- 2:12:11Speaker 2: get hurt and then Saquon Barley had a really bad
- 2:12:13Speaker 2: game and I was just like, you know what? I'm
- 2:12:14Speaker 2: just not even going to pay attention anymore. And....
- 2:12:18Speaker 1: Admittedly, I will say that you did get dealt a
- 2:12:21Speaker 1: bad hand in our league. I mean, Coker only had 2.8.
- 2:12:25Speaker 1: Blake Corum only had 2.5. Darren Waller had 7.6. Surprisingly,
- 2:12:31Speaker 1: both our defenses only got two points. You with Seattle,
- 2:12:33Speaker 1: me with Carolina. And then your bench wasn't much better.
- 2:12:38Speaker 4: Drake May, 4.76.
- 2:12:38Speaker 3: Trey Tucker, 6.3.
- 2:12:39Speaker 1: Marvin Harrison, 5.5. Keon Coleman, 4.2.
- 2:12:51Speaker 5: I'm surprised.
- 2:12:52Speaker 2: For people listening, this is a half PPR league.
- 2:12:56Speaker 1: I'm actually shocked that they didn't give Travis Hunter anything. Because,
- 2:13:01Speaker 1: I mean, he got an interception. You would think they
- 2:13:03Speaker 1: would give it to him unless they credited it to
- 2:13:05Speaker 1: the defense, which sucks.
- 2:13:07Speaker 2: Yeah, they credited that to the defense.
- 2:13:09Speaker 4: That kind of blows, if you ask me.
- 2:13:14Speaker 2: There's no reason for anybody to have Travis Hunter.
- 2:13:17Speaker 4: No, there isn't.
- 2:13:18Speaker 1: Uh, Dontabian Wicks had got you 4.2 and Tyler Ferguson
- 2:13:23Speaker 1: or Terrence Ferguson got you 1.4.
- 2:13:27Speaker 2: Yeah. My, my entire team kind of was booboo this week.
- 2:13:30Speaker 2: My only bright, my only shite, uh, brand. Uh, my
- 2:13:36Speaker 2: only bright spots, quote unquote, word, Jared Goff and Chris Boswell.
- 2:13:41Speaker 1: So, Yeah, I mean, but we will see what happens
- 2:13:48Speaker 1: next week in week four, guys.
- 2:13:51Speaker 4: We will talk to you for episode number 11 next week,
- 2:13:56Speaker 4: which you guys will get on every platform that you
- 2:13:59Speaker 4: get your podcasts from. But until then, thank you so
- 2:14:02Speaker 4: much for listening to the Ruffling the Feathers podcast, and
- 2:14:05Speaker 4: we will see you next time.
