Transcript
- 0:00Okay, so in honor of Groundhog Day, which is
- 0:04a movie for the unaware about a guy who repeats
- 0:09the same day over and over every day. Well, it's
- 0:13not just a movie. It is a holiday. Precisely.
- 0:17We're airing this on Groundhog Day, so I don't
- 0:21know. I'm not psyching enough to know what Phil
- 0:24or here in Michigan Woody is going to say about
- 0:27our winter status. So I can't comment on that.
- 0:32But I can't comment on the movie, which is about
- 0:34doing the same thing over and over. So in honor
- 0:39of Groundhog Day, which is a movie about a guy
- 0:43who experiences the same day over and over and
- 0:47over and over. So in honor of Groundhog Day,
- 0:54which is... So in honor of Groundhog Day, which
- 1:00is a movie about a guy who experienced... Every
- 1:04single person who's listening to this 100 % just
- 1:08turned it off. 100 % just turned this off. I
- 1:13want to leave. No listens to this. We're going
- 1:18to talk about... deja vu and like the mandela
- 1:22effect like weird memory glitches in the matrix
- 1:27that you got up in your brain kind of related
- 1:30to groundhog day um so in honor of groundhog
- 1:34day which is a movie where stop it get to the
- 1:41point can we just roll the title sequence welcome
- 1:44to our podcast where we take deep dives looking
- 1:47at various topics through a paranormal lens so
- 1:52i have a question for you guys have you ever
- 1:56experienced deja vu yes no i can't tell if you're
- 2:07like saying that like you haven't or like telling
- 2:10angela like no sweetie i have not i have not
- 2:13experienced deja vu i don't think so anyways
- 2:17you've never had that feeling before where you're
- 2:20like this seems really familiar well like i lived
- 2:24this already not necessarily like not necessarily
- 2:29like deja vu where i'm like oh this has happened
- 2:32before more of like oh I've been here before,
- 2:36but I've never actually been to that place. But
- 2:38that's not really, like, deja vu. You might be
- 2:42the only person who hasn't, like, experienced
- 2:46that deja vu feeling. That's really whack. Now
- 2:52for you, Angela, does it happen only when you,
- 2:55like, drive through construction zones? You're
- 2:58like, I swear I've driven through this one before.
- 3:04um no i i actually agree with brie on this i
- 3:09haven't had any like particular moments where
- 3:11i'm like i lived this moment but for example
- 3:15madison seminary felt really like familiar like
- 3:19some investigations we do i feel like what like
- 3:23what does this remind me of and i've never been
- 3:26there in my life and i can't think of what it
- 3:28reminds me of you know what i mean But it just
- 3:31feels like a familiar place. Madison Seminary
- 3:34was one of them. Definitely do not get that feeling
- 3:37when I'm there. Neither do I. Are there any moments
- 3:41or places, rather, that come to mind, Bree, that
- 3:45we might know? Yeah, I mean, it isn't a place
- 3:50that you guys have been, but the historical clubhouse...
- 3:59In Houghton Lake. Like, for some reason, when
- 4:03I went there as a kid, like, for one of their
- 4:07Christmas, like, holiday things, when I got there,
- 4:11I'm like, I've been here before. I've, like,
- 4:15done this before. But I had never been there
- 4:20before. I was also a kid. So, like, it's possible
- 4:22I could have gone there when I was younger, but
- 4:24just didn't realize it. But I don't know. Think
- 4:29it could be, like, a past life thing? Do you
- 4:30even believe in past lives? That's what I, like,
- 4:33had thought. But, I don't know. I feel like that's
- 4:37something for a different podcast episode. Oh,
- 4:41definitely. People do think there's, like, an
- 4:44overlap, though, with, like, Deja Vu being, like,
- 4:46your lives. Or also, like, other dimensions overlapping.
- 4:52Yeah. Or different timelines. I don't know how
- 4:57that works, but... You do, though. It's kind
- 5:01of like when you make your grilled cheese and
- 5:03then it's melted. So the top layer blends with
- 5:08the bottom layer. Yes. They're all combined into
- 5:13one. It's all the cheese. It's all the different
- 5:15levels of the apartments. Yeah. Have you guys...
- 5:22This reminds me. Have you guys ever... like experience
- 5:25the back rooms like that type of feeling because
- 5:29i feel like that's like big honestly i can't
- 5:38think of a place where i've experienced backroom
- 5:42vibes yeah i mean yeah even even like though
- 5:47i say yeah i've totally experienced the back
- 5:49back rooms it was like a random offhand experience
- 5:53when i was a very little kid and i thought like
- 5:57i got lost in my church and i couldn't figure
- 6:00out where to go like i could literally legitimately
- 6:04not find a door and all i could find was a hallway
- 6:08How big is your church? Not big. And then suddenly
- 6:12my dad just appeared and was like, where were
- 6:14you? But I'm talking about toddler age. I could
- 6:19have just not seen the door. That would be still
- 6:21kind of creepy. Yeah. Because I still go to the
- 6:27same church and I cannot figure out where I was
- 6:31lost. It was really hard to get lost there. You
- 6:38were so small, you couldn't even see the door
- 6:41handle or anything. I don't know. It was really
- 6:45weird. Anyways. So, I have a question. Have either
- 6:52of you ever experienced deja vu? I am right now.
- 6:58because he just there you go you experienced
- 7:02it first time ever that's not deja vu because
- 7:04yeah you fabricated this yeah what not how it
- 7:12works ben it's not how it works it's not how
- 7:14it works maybe i mean you think like god fabricates
- 7:18deja vu and others i'm just trying to play god
- 7:21here You shouldn't play God. Can you hear all
- 7:25the horror stories of people who say that you
- 7:27play God or imitate God and then terrible shit
- 7:30happens to them? Don't pull a Jurassic Park.
- 7:33Yeah. No, no, no. I don't want to say that. That's
- 7:37a topic for another day. Jurassic Park. Jurassic
- 7:41Park. All the dino layers. The dino layers. Right
- 7:46now, I think we're in the pterodactyl segment
- 7:49of the episode. I'm always in the pterodactyl.
- 7:53Pterodactyl? Yeah. Why did you add letters to
- 7:56that? Pterodactyl? Oh my god. Let's just forget
- 8:04I try to say that word. Okay, moving on. To a
- 8:10different Jurassic player. Ben, you never answered
- 8:14my question about the back rooms. Have you ever
- 8:17experienced a back room moment? okay have you
- 8:21angela no okay so you guys have experienced deja
- 8:25vu but haven't experienced the back rooms i haven't
- 8:29experienced deja vu but i possibly experienced
- 8:32the back rooms yes i also love how my example
- 8:37of like deja vu was like a haunted location which
- 8:40kind of makes sense to have like weird feelings
- 8:42and breeze like I don't see that at all. I've
- 8:46only experienced these weird things in my local
- 8:49clubhouse and my local church. Very normal places
- 8:52I go all the time. Okay, I don't actually go
- 8:58to the clubhouse all the time. Yeah, yeah. That's
- 9:00also in a different town, like a ways away from
- 9:03me. And is historic and is haunted, but that's
- 9:06besides the point. The most spookiest things
- 9:08that you have ever experienced were in your small
- 9:12hometown. I wouldn't say that. Middle of nowhere.
- 9:18In a random church. So I do have a question,
- 9:23though. Have either of you ever experienced deja
- 9:26vu? I swear to God, Ben. Stop it, Ben. Welcome
- 9:29to our podcast, where we take deep dives looking
- 9:31at various topics through a paranormal lens.
- 9:36Stop it. Okay. I have a real question, though.
- 9:42Have either of you ever experienced the Mandela
- 9:46effect? I thought you were going to say deja
- 9:48vu again, and I was actually going to leave.
- 9:55Mandela effect, 100%. Oh, yeah, 100%. So we all,
- 10:00I think, brought our favorite example that we're
- 10:03going to share with each other. Yeah. Right?
- 10:07Did we all do the assignment? I'm just gonna
- 10:10go based off of whatever one you guys don't pick.
- 10:14Okay. Let's see how many overlap. I like how,
- 10:20too, just to note the irony here, the one time
- 10:24we do a topic that's literally about remembering
- 10:28things incorrectly, that's the one where Angela's
- 10:31prepared and knows the topic. Yes. Good job,
- 10:39Angela. Yeah. So what's your Mandela effect,
- 10:42Ange? Me? Okay. So I'm going to say one that
- 10:51I recently just learned. And I learned this one
- 10:55through TikTok. You know, just scrolling through
- 10:58TikTok and I found this one. And it was of South
- 11:02America. And it kind of being in a different
- 11:07spot on the map than what I remembered. So when
- 11:13you're looking at, when you think of South America,
- 11:17where is it on the map? I mean, it's kind of
- 11:23like Southeast. if you were gonna if you said
- 11:28south of america i was gonna i was gonna walk
- 11:31it yeah you know i i know map so well the south
- 11:37america yeah that's one of the southern of america
- 11:40right yes well yes it is south it is south america
- 11:43i'm talking about the continent of america but
- 11:45it is like more of like south east okay so you
- 11:49remember it how you re like how it is currently
- 11:54yeah Okay. Ben, is that how you remember it?
- 11:59I'm totally not looking this up. Oh my god. No,
- 12:03tell me. I did see this TikTok that you're talking
- 12:08about. Yeah, because I sent it to you guys. Yeah,
- 12:10you did. But you go ahead and... Yeah, it's where
- 12:15I remember it too. Okay, so I'm the only one
- 12:18who doesn't remember it that way. Yes, I remember
- 12:22it as being directly south. like right underneath
- 12:26north america but could that just be because
- 12:30of like map displacement because when you like
- 12:35because when you take a flattened map like they
- 12:40they just maps are very displaced that is true
- 12:44that's true and so a lot of the like flat rectangular
- 12:48maps will reflect it as being directly south
- 12:52of America and that's I feel like the kind of
- 12:55map that most like elementary and like primary
- 12:59schools use but once you start getting older
- 13:02they start getting more into the geographical
- 13:03stuff and doing like the globe map where it shifts
- 13:08and displaces it to its more accurate position.
- 13:12It's kind of like saying that Greenland is huge,
- 13:15but it actually is so tiny. You know, that makes
- 13:17a lot of sense. So maybe what I'm remembering
- 13:21is just like, what are you laughing about, Ben?
- 13:27I never heard someone give a lecture about graduating
- 13:32into using globes. It's like, when you get older,
- 13:34they allow you to use rounder maps. Well, no,
- 13:40that wasn't the point. Brianna, when Bri was
- 13:42a toddler getting lost in the back rooms of her
- 13:45church, she remembers the vivid excitement of
- 13:50finally being able to look at a globe for the
- 13:53first time. No, no, no, no. That's not what I
- 13:56mean. Those stupid paper maps. No, but, like,
- 14:00okay, so I'm looking at it right now. I'm looking
- 14:03at, like, the maps. And... I remember it as like,
- 14:13you know, Mexico is kind of like turning towards
- 14:18the east a little bit, if you know what I mean.
- 14:21Causing the rest of it being more towards the
- 14:24east. But I remember Mexico being more like straight
- 14:27down a little bit. So everything kind of falls
- 14:32below. Like I'm looking at the map right now.
- 14:38let me see here and like the most eastern part
- 14:44of brazil i remember being like kind of more
- 14:47underneath where florida is at not like way over
- 14:51yeah the east you know i think the thing is too
- 14:57is that um imaging And stuff has gotten, like,
- 15:04a lot better, even just in the past 20 years
- 15:07of what our planet looks like. So that has also
- 15:11affected our maps and that sort of stuff. And
- 15:17also, like, even if you look at, like, globe
- 15:21maps from, like, late to early 1800s, they look
- 15:27drastically different because... especially maps
- 15:31that were made in England or Europe. The ones
- 15:35that were handmade. They purposely sailed around
- 15:39and drew as they went. Well, no, that's not even
- 15:41the fact that I'm getting at. The European or
- 15:45English inhabited countries or lands were...
- 15:52drawn or designed to look bigger oh yeah yeah
- 15:56like other countries ginormously big when in
- 15:59reality it really isn't yes so a bunch of other
- 16:03countries map distortion i feel like is it's
- 16:08insane and like with all of the modern technology
- 16:12we have now it has changed our maps a lot so
- 16:15it's possible maybe like the maps that you had
- 16:18in school were not very up to date i mean that
- 16:21could very well be the fact yeah who knows you
- 16:27know the one the why i like this one so much
- 16:30is that there's so many different reasons that
- 16:32could explain why i have this false memory right
- 16:36now yeah yeah but i just remember i saw this
- 16:40for the first time i'm like that is really whack
- 16:43that is really really weird i don't know how
- 16:45i feel about that Because I'm like, how do I,
- 16:49like, I look at the map all the time because
- 16:52I'm just curious. You know, I like to, like,
- 16:55I don't know. I like to look up random places
- 16:59and see what they're like and be like, oh, I
- 17:01want to visit this place someday when I'm older.
- 17:05So when did you do that on Google Earth? I do
- 17:08that on Google Earth or anytime I look at the
- 17:10map. When did you graduate? Because we know when
- 17:13you graduate to a globe, when do you graduate
- 17:15in life to Google Earth? I guess whenever I got
- 17:19a phone. Okay, okay. Specifically a smartphone,
- 17:24not a flip phone. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. So
- 17:26this would be specifically 2015. I did, I did.
- 17:31My first ever phone was an iPhone, so I never
- 17:33had a flip phone or anything. Okay, yeah, I figured.
- 17:37I'm sorry, that sounded like an insult. No, no,
- 17:40you're fine. I didn't get a phone until I was
- 17:4315. Yeah, I also had my first phone was a flip
- 17:46phone, but it was a sideways flip phone. So it
- 17:49was super cool. But also I didn't get an actual
- 17:52like. smartphone or an iphone until a month before
- 17:57i went to college so i was way behind with all
- 18:00like all of my friends had like snapchat and
- 18:03like group chats and all that stuff and i'd like
- 18:06get put in a group chat and i'd be like take
- 18:08me out of this immediately because i cannot do
- 18:11this i mean i still hate group chats and i'm
- 18:14also i'm still terrible at like digital keypads
- 18:17like i i'm terrible typing because the flip phones
- 18:20were like real you know real buttons yeah i can't
- 18:25and mine was a sideways flip phone so i had a
- 18:28full keyboard too so that was nice i love it
- 18:33i actually still have my phone somewhere i think
- 18:36it's in my drawer i'll be in the museum someday
- 18:39yeah anyways anyways can i what go ahead okay
- 18:47no no no i'm gonna let you guys sorry that was
- 18:50like so harsh i'm like what i have i have other
- 18:53examples but i want you guys to say them if that's
- 18:58your example how about you you go ben what's
- 19:00uh what's what's the mandela effect that you
- 19:03brought to the table today yeah i'm actually
- 19:06seeking um seeking clarity clarity as well as
- 19:11potential um uh psychological help and therapy
- 19:16if depending on the answer here so i don't know
- 19:21like i know this is a mandela effect thing but
- 19:24i don't know which answer is actually real and
- 19:27which is like what it says so does the monopoly
- 19:31man have a monocle or not because i actually
- 19:34don't know he does not okay so he doesn't and
- 19:38the only reason why i know he doesn't is because
- 19:40I've seen this as an example and know the answer.
- 19:43Yeah. That's the only reason I know it either.
- 19:45I've always seen him as having a monocle. Same.
- 19:47I've always seen him as having one of those eye
- 19:52thingies. Monocle. We said it five times already.
- 19:56I don't like that word. Why? It's just weird.
- 20:00It looks weird. It sounds weird. It's mono is
- 20:05singular. I don't like it. I still don't like
- 20:09it. It's not a me word. Okay. Pop off, I guess.
- 20:17Yeah. Ben, what about... Wait, you already answered.
- 20:21Deja. So, my Mandela effect. So, does the Monopoly
- 20:32man have a monocle or not? Are we going to answer
- 20:38this again? I mean, she wanted me to go. And
- 20:44I only brought I did bring a joke one. Do you
- 20:47want to hear my joke? Yes. What's your joke one?
- 20:49Yes. So believe it or not, the film we made was
- 20:55called Possession Tape. No S, even though we
- 20:58always refer to it as Possession Tapes every
- 21:00time we record. Oh, seriously? Oh, my God. Oh,
- 21:06that's hilarious. There's no S in there because
- 21:09there's only one singular. It's one tape. One
- 21:12possession. Sounds better. What's an S? That's
- 21:17hilarious. There's no S. That's actually so funny.
- 21:21Anywhere in the film, like the title and the
- 21:23voiceover, there's no. But ever since we made,
- 21:26we put it out and stuff. We've referred to it
- 21:29as possession tapes. Yeah. An S. So someone out
- 21:33there is thinking there's another one. Oh, that's
- 21:40hilarious, actually. That's hilarious. That's
- 21:43really funny. I didn't even have to play God
- 21:46to do that one. It just happened. I didn't fabricate
- 21:50any of that. Who'd have thunk? Not us, obviously.
- 21:55You did. I fell for it, too. How did you figure
- 22:01this out? Did you just like look at it one day
- 22:05and you're like, oh yeah, it doesn't have an
- 22:07S on it. Yeah, like yesterday, actually. Yesterday.
- 22:13And I was like, that's fitting. This is Mandela
- 22:15effect. Yeah. The Mandela tape. But Ben, you
- 22:23never answered about the Monopoly guy. Did you
- 22:27always see him with one or without one? No, he
- 22:31totally has one. I don't know if they're saying
- 22:36that he does or doesn't. So that's the thing.
- 22:41With the Mandela Effect, he never has had a monocle.
- 22:46That's really not accurate. Because here's the
- 22:49thing. With the Mandela Effect, once they enter
- 22:52pop culture, now there's all sorts of images
- 22:55that people make with the monocle. So it's like
- 22:58you can't tell. And I bet if you like... chat
- 23:02GPT, create me an image of this. Some of the
- 23:06reference images are probably going to have a
- 23:07monocle. You can't tell anymore. So here's the
- 23:12thing with going off that kind of goes in because
- 23:15I didn't pick one specific one. Like I said,
- 23:17I was going to go based off of what you guys
- 23:19said. It has a lot to do with marketing and how
- 23:24marketing has changed. I'm sure. there probably
- 23:27are varieties out there with a monocle do you
- 23:31think but i think it's probably like super old
- 23:36and like has shifted over time it's like the
- 23:38fruit of the loom one because everyone remembers
- 23:41fruit of the loom having a cornucopia fruit of
- 23:45the loom claims there has never been a cornucopia
- 23:47i believe there was like i i saw a thing a long
- 23:53time ago where Someone had done the deep dive
- 23:57research and found, like, actual proof that it
- 24:00had had a cornucopia at one point. But I believe
- 24:03Fruit of the Loom, like, either sold out or was
- 24:07going out of business or something, and they
- 24:10had to, like, remarket. So they kind of erased
- 24:13the cornucopia from their imaging to remarket
- 24:19it as... Essentially the same product, something
- 24:22that's still going to be recognized, but it's
- 24:25a different logo. Okay. So are they saying that
- 24:29the original Fruit of the Loom brand had one
- 24:34of them? Yes. But when they rebranded, they took
- 24:37it out. Yes. So, okay. Because I remember, yeah.
- 24:42Everyone remembers it having a cornucopia. So
- 24:44why, it's like, yeah. But why would they say
- 24:47that they never had one then? I don't know. like
- 24:50that doesn't make sense but i've also seen videos
- 24:52of people doing deep dives and looking at their
- 24:54old clothing and they finding clothes was one
- 24:57of them on them still yeah yeah that's what i'm
- 25:00saying i believe i believe what happened was
- 25:02like they rebranded remarketed and like with
- 25:07marketing you have to like change the logo and
- 25:11design like just like so it's not the same because
- 25:15that that is I don't know. I don't know how that
- 25:18stuff works. So they had to change it. Basically,
- 25:20Fruit of the Loom is just gaslighting us. Yes,
- 25:24100%. Those fuckers. But also, I 100 % might
- 25:29be talking out of my ass and don't know anything
- 25:32about this. So if someone knows something, please
- 25:35correct me because I did not do any research.
- 25:39This is the equivalent of Brianna. like seeing
- 25:42someone on the on the side of the street they're
- 25:44like oh my god you're that girl from uh afterlife
- 25:47road then brain says what afterlife road i what
- 25:55are you talking about we've never been called
- 25:59afterlife road it's always been crossroads of
- 26:02curiosities always since forever yeah And then
- 26:09they say, but I'm a November fan. And you go,
- 26:11oh, I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry. I thought you
- 26:15were a December. You know what's really sad about
- 26:22the movie Groundhog Day? What? Every day he wakes
- 26:27up, it's February. He can never get to be a November
- 26:31fan. That's so sad. But no, legitimately, there
- 26:37are so many Mandela effects that just make me
- 26:41mad. Because, like, what's another example? Oh,
- 26:46Berenstain Bears versus Berenstain Bears. Like,
- 26:51the E versus the A. I really couldn't tell you.
- 26:54I could not tell you. I grew up reading the Berenstain
- 27:00Bears. It is an E. I swear to God. Or, um, Looney
- 27:07Tunes. I just saw this one. Yeah, it's supposedly
- 27:11spelled with a U and not a double O. Excuse me?
- 27:17Okay, so this is... Same with, like, Fruit Loops.
- 27:19Okay, but I remember it with a U. Okay, but Fruit
- 27:21Loops... I asked someone earlier today, like,
- 27:24what's the one that makes them the most mad?
- 27:27And they're like, this doesn't make me the most
- 27:29mad. Like, this is the most obvious one, but,
- 27:31like... It's always been spelled with two O's.
- 27:34I think it's always been spelled with two O's.
- 27:36Like, and that's how everyone... Nobody thinks
- 27:41it that way. I never really, like, ate... What
- 27:46are they called? Fruit loops? Fruit loops, yes.
- 27:49I didn't really ever eat them before as a kid.
- 27:52I like how your screen, your video, started glitching
- 27:57out, like, mirroring your brain. brain farting.
- 28:02You're glitching out. No, it's all you. It's
- 28:05all you, man. Well, you are currently right now,
- 28:10too. Nope. Nope. It's you. It's you. Oh, it's
- 28:14definitely you, Angela. Oh, it's both of you,
- 28:17actually. It's Ben, too, right now. Ben, too?
- 28:20Who invited the other one? I would say Ben, too.
- 28:25Internet's going whack. Okay, but... So the episode
- 28:29about weird memory glitches is resulting in real
- 28:33life glitches. Real life glitches. Oh, another
- 28:36one that makes me mad is Jiffy versus Jiff peanut
- 28:40butter. It's Jiffy. Yeah, be hearing a Jiffy,
- 28:47you know? Okay, do you know what's weird about
- 28:50this one? I saw someone like... Someone's like,
- 28:53oh, people are just mixing up their competitor,
- 28:55Skippy. It's like, no. I've never heard of Skippy.
- 28:59I remember a different logo. Peter Pan, I've
- 29:03heard of Peter Pan. The Jiffy has always had
- 29:05the red and blue and green sometimes, like logo.
- 29:11And Skippy is blue. The weird thing about me,
- 29:18I didn't grow up eating peanut butter because
- 29:20my sister was highly allergic to peanuts so all
- 29:23that type of stuff was out so we ate like soy
- 29:26nut butter or whatever um so we never had peanut
- 29:29butter in our house so i don't exactly remember
- 29:31but i remember always saying jiffy peanut butter
- 29:35when i was like with like my friends or at my
- 29:38grandparents who had it around or something like
- 29:40that but then when i look at the package of it
- 29:44i recognize it as being just jiff But that's
- 29:50probably because I never had it around me until
- 29:54like teenager years. Like I said, the saying
- 29:58is in a jiffy. People don't know. I want to talk
- 30:03about what your guys' theories are for the Mandela
- 30:07Effect. I feel like I kind of already went into
- 30:10that with the marketing thing. She mapped it
- 30:13out for us, literally. That makes sense for some
- 30:17of them. For a lot of them, it does. My theory
- 30:21is that it's a combination of things, especially
- 30:29pre -internet changed. And then a lot of these
- 30:34things are childhood things like cereals we ate,
- 30:39books we read as kids, games we played as kids.
- 30:42As our brains develop. and we get smarter, and
- 30:46we graduate to using circular things, as well
- 30:53as digital things eventually. I think we just,
- 30:57you know, our brains change, and I don't even,
- 31:00I can't begin to explain what happens chemically
- 31:03up there, but I think we just remember childhood
- 31:06things, or we're just kind of stupid. The only
- 31:09Mandela effect that kind of is wild to me is,
- 31:14you know, mandela itself because that one i don't
- 31:18understand because everyone including myself
- 31:22remembers being taught that mandela died in prison
- 31:27and then it's like oh he's alive and well and
- 31:29it's like hold up you passed away in prison well
- 31:33yeah my parents think he passed away in prison
- 31:36too both my parents do yeah like so that's that's
- 31:42the one thing that's like How do we all remember
- 31:46this person passing away? And this isn't something
- 31:50that, like, you can make up. I don't know. Like.
- 31:57Yeah. It's weird. It's wild. Yeah, that one.
- 32:01So. I don't know. Because that's like a living
- 32:02person. Do you know how people are always like,
- 32:06just believe? that the government is just doing
- 32:11a big experiment in gaslighting us about all
- 32:14these Mandela effects. The government isn't doing
- 32:17a big gaslighting. They don't have Operation
- 32:20Fruit Loops in the government. No, no, I know,
- 32:24I know. But I'm just saying, like, if that excuse,
- 32:29like, reasoning is the only one I could probably
- 32:33explain for the actual Mandela guy, but all the
- 32:37other ones, like the um marketing and stuff makes
- 32:42sense i always like the uh the theory of that
- 32:49we died are in a different universe now or something
- 32:52where we switch universes and we're just seeing
- 32:55different like different We shifted timelines.
- 33:00Like in the Marvel universe. Yeah, multiple different
- 33:04universes or whatever. I love that one. That
- 33:07one is so fun to think about. I don't like that.
- 33:10I don't like it. You don't think, even for a
- 33:14second, Angela, we're just stupider than we give
- 33:16ourselves credit for and maybe we just misremember
- 33:19things? Oh, I'm not saying that's... Like, real.
- 33:23I'm not saying I personally believe that. I think
- 33:26that one's fun, and I like to think about it
- 33:28as if it is real. It doesn't fill you with existential
- 33:31dread. Oh, I have a question. Yeah? Have you
- 33:42guys ever experienced deja vu? Oh, God. Yes,
- 33:46and here's the thing. This is going to be the
- 33:48end of me. I've already had this conversation
- 33:50with you guys. every day for the past year it's
- 33:56been every i keep waking up and i keep having
- 33:59this talk with you i know exactly how it's going
- 34:01to end and none of the times that we have this
- 34:04conversation none of the times do we ever figure
- 34:08out whatever truly happened to nelson mandela
- 34:12i don't think we're ever gonna know no Especially
- 34:20because I didn't do research. You said that yesterday
- 34:25when we recorded this. Am I the only one caught
- 34:30in this time loop? Yep. that's the only example
- 34:34where i can say the government is gaslighting
- 34:37us or every single person you said that yesterday
- 34:39every single person in this universe died and
- 34:43we're now in a different universe or retouched
- 34:45based into a different like multiverse or whatever
- 34:49the fuck you want to call it dimension i don't
- 34:51know that might be a case maybe we all died and
- 34:54now we're just I'm experiencing deja vu again.
- 34:58There's hope for my future. I might be able to
- 35:03break free of this time loop because this is
- 35:04the first time in today, which has been every
- 35:08day for me. This is the first time that Angela
- 35:11has shushed me having this conversation. So I
- 35:15might finally break out of it if small things
- 35:19begin like dominoes, like the domino effect.
- 35:23If one small thing changes, because this is a
- 35:27new part of the conversation too. We didn't have
- 35:29this yesterday. So how is the domino effect different
- 35:34than the Mandela effect different than the butterfly
- 35:36effect? They're all the same. I don't have answers.
- 35:46All the same. All the same. Everything is the
- 35:52same. They're all in the layers of cheese. We
- 35:58are all atoms. Does that mean we're all the same?
- 36:05We're the same thing? I can feel my body. It's
- 36:10going into tomorrow! This is so stupid. You're
- 36:18such an idiot. I can never pass as God. Come
- 36:23on. No. Thanks for listening to this week's episode
