- 3:08SPEAKER_01: And this is the big cunty couch.
- 3:10SPEAKER_01: Yes! It really is.
- 3:11SPEAKER_01: Uh bigger and cuntier and better than ever.
- 3:14SPEAKER_01: Look at the glow up, everyone.
- 3:15SPEAKER_01: It's uh it's an audio-visual podcast.
- 3:17SPEAKER_01: So go watch on YouTube, go listen wherever you get podcasts.
- 3:20SPEAKER_01: But if you're watching, you will see that we added and changed and upgraded uh little bits and things here and there.
- 3:26SPEAKER_01: Enough that would make you say, really?
- 3:28SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 3:29SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 3:29SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 3:30SPEAKER_02: It feels like we did a lot, but honestly, we we rolled it back.
- 3:33SPEAKER_02: It looks like nothing.
- 3:33SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 3:34SPEAKER_01: But uh it's it's for internal purposes.
- 3:36SPEAKER_01: Yes, it's we we've decided that um it's really for the guests at the end of the day.
- 3:39SPEAKER_01: For the guests.
- 3:40SPEAKER_01: It's for the guests.
- 3:41SPEAKER_02: For us, we don't have a guest today.
- 3:42SPEAKER_02: Right, it's just us, Goyle, because it's episode one, and I figured me alone, I was like, it just needs to be us.
- 3:49SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I think it was a good call.
- 3:50SPEAKER_01: It was a good call.
- 3:51SPEAKER_01: This is a uh talk show podcast where we invite queers and peers to sit, bitch, and be fius on a truly hoodest couch.
- 3:59SPEAKER_01: I want to say like on the cuntiest couch in town, but you can't say it's the cunty couch and cunning.
- 4:03SPEAKER_01: It'd be the cuntiest couch in America for no reason.
- 4:08SPEAKER_01: Trump's America is the cuntiest couch in America.
- 4:11SPEAKER_01: True.
- 4:11SPEAKER_01: I mean, I really make it national.
- 4:12SPEAKER_01: I think it's uh you'd be correct.
- 4:14SPEAKER_01: Because we don't actually know if it's uh we can't say global.
- 4:17SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 4:17SPEAKER_02: We don't even know.
- 4:17SPEAKER_02: We don't know.
- 4:19SPEAKER_02: We just but we're gonna find out.
- 4:21SPEAKER_02: We're gonna find out in that season four.
- 4:23SPEAKER_02: That's the keys to the couch us finding the biggest, the country, a country cup in this.
- 4:28SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 4:28SPEAKER_02: Prove us wrong.
- 4:29SPEAKER_02: Globe.
- 4:30SPEAKER_02: I wanted to say America again, but now I'm saying Globe.
- 4:34SPEAKER_02: Globe.
- 4:34SPEAKER_02: Globe.
- 4:35SPEAKER_02: I think I said this.
- 4:36SPEAKER_02: We we did do a Patreon episode, which is coming soon.
- 4:38SPEAKER_02: Yeah, so but this is how I was gonna tee it off.
- 4:40SPEAKER_01: I was gonna say I blew his whole script.
- 4:42SPEAKER_01: I didn't know.
- 4:42SPEAKER_01: Um, for the first time ever, we have a sponsor, and the sponsor is you, our viewers and our listeners, because we've launched a Patreon.
- 4:50SPEAKER_01: That's right.
- 4:50SPEAKER_01: At this very moment in time, our Patreon is live with bonus content, uh, an entirely uh full drag extra episode wherein we review Wicked part one, and it's it is for this price.
- 5:04SPEAKER_00: Three dollars.
- 5:05SPEAKER_01: We haven't decided what it is yet.
- 5:06SPEAKER_01: Um it'll be cheap.
- 5:07SPEAKER_01: Yeah, very cheap.
- 5:08SPEAKER_02: Um, who are we to charge you?
- 5:11SPEAKER_02: Yeah, but um anything we do for this garbage experience.
- 5:14SPEAKER_02: Well, it's not garbage experience.
- 5:16SPEAKER_02: It's actually so good.
- 5:18SPEAKER_01: I'm talking over me.
- 5:21SPEAKER_01: It's not garbage.
- 5:22SPEAKER_01: No, we um we believe really uh strongly in the podcast and in this product, and um, we try really hard and it's a labor of love, but it is all out of pocket.
- 5:31SPEAKER_01: So even like literally a couple dollars is enough for us to like pay for pizza for guests.
- 5:36SPEAKER_02: To wake up in the morning, yeah, and to keep living with that tiny purpose in life.
- 5:40SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 5:41SPEAKER_01: So help us out.
- 5:42SPEAKER_01: Um we haven't figured out what like the bonus tiers and stuff of the rewards are yet.
- 5:48SPEAKER_01: Maybe no tiers yet.
- 5:49SPEAKER_01: No tears yet.
- 5:50SPEAKER_01: But I do think depending on blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, your name will be in the credits, and we might even say it out loud.
- 5:55SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 5:55SPEAKER_01: So you know.
- 5:55SPEAKER_01: That's funny.
- 5:56SPEAKER_01: Now, how come I didn't know about that?
- 5:58SPEAKER_01: The board has been meeting without you.
- 5:59SPEAKER_01: Uh where we were phasing you out.
- 6:01SPEAKER_02: Oh, honey, I am the board.
- 6:02SPEAKER_01: You're as big as a board.
- 6:04SPEAKER_02: I am the board walk.
- 6:06SPEAKER_02: I said this on Patreon.
- 6:07SPEAKER_02: I um it's been so long, I lost 35 pounds, and then the hiatus was so long that I gained it back.
- 6:14SPEAKER_02: And I had huge plans to uh wheel out a wagon of uh meat?
- 6:19SPEAKER_02: Yeah, like Oprah in the 90s.
- 6:22SPEAKER_02: Who went on to she she went on to regret that.
- 6:24SPEAKER_02: Did we talk about this?
- 6:25SPEAKER_02: No, I don't think so.
- 6:25SPEAKER_02: Oh, yeah, she lost a bunch of weight and she wheeled out a wagon of bacon fat.
- 6:29SPEAKER_02: That's it.
- 6:29SPEAKER_02: And it's like, girl, don't do it.
- 6:30SPEAKER_02: You're gonna gain it back.
- 6:31SPEAKER_02: I had a big wagon of cookies coming and now I can't.
- 6:35SPEAKER_02: But a wagon of cookies?
- 6:37SPEAKER_02: Whatever.
- 6:38SPEAKER_02: Imagine wheeling out um a wagon of fat on your daytime talk show.
- 6:43SPEAKER_01: That sounds like a great episode, you know what I mean?
- 6:45SPEAKER_01: It's like that some producer was like 14.
- 6:47SPEAKER_02: She had a mock turtleneck neck.
- 6:48SPEAKER_02: When you when you drop a lot of weight, like you find knitwear.
- 6:51SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 6:52SPEAKER_01: You know.
- 6:52SPEAKER_01: Speaking of wagons of fat, uh, I was telling you that like uh I keep seeing photos of myself recently where And you look like a wagon of fat.
- 7:00SPEAKER_01: I look like a wagon of fat where I'm like, my gut reaction is always like, oh, well, that's a bad photo because like, oh, well, the lighting was weird, or like, oh, uh that person was doing something weird with the camera, or like, oh, my neck was in a weird position.
- 7:10SPEAKER_01: And it's like you can't shadow in the room vibes.
- 7:12SPEAKER_01: Yeah, it's it's just a shadow in the room that's making my neck look 500 feet wide.
- 7:15SPEAKER_01: You can only do that 19 times before you have to admit that you look ugly.
- 7:21SPEAKER_01: So I have to admit that like it's this isn't working on camera anymore.
- 7:25SPEAKER_01: I mean, with studio lights and makeup, uh it's fine.
- 7:28SPEAKER_01: You look stunning.
- 7:28SPEAKER_01: But in the wild, on a candid camera, honey, things are not Yeah, like it's the uh it's the wind.
- 7:34SPEAKER_01: It's the tariffs.
- 7:35SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah.
- 7:36SPEAKER_01: You gotta blame something.
- 7:37SPEAKER_01: It's the tariffs.
- 7:39SPEAKER_02: It's the wind for sure.
- 7:41SPEAKER_02: 100%.
- 7:41SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 7:42SPEAKER_02: Everyone's going through an ugly phase, I think.
- 7:44SPEAKER_02: So you're not alone.
- 7:45SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 7:45SPEAKER_01: But you are ugly.
- 7:46SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 7:47SPEAKER_01: And I'm so sorry.
- 7:48SPEAKER_02: Uh am I ugly?
- 7:50SPEAKER_01: No, you're gorgeous.
- 7:51SPEAKER_01: You actually do look great.
- 7:52SPEAKER_01: Because we've Do I?
- 7:53SPEAKER_01: You do, because this is um the second time wearing this outfit.
- 7:58SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 7:59SPEAKER_01: And I think part of the reason why we were a little like couldn't make up our minds about certain elements of it.
- 8:04SPEAKER_01: We were like, just because we'd seen it before.
- 8:06SPEAKER_01: So the the the You have.
- 8:07SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 8:08SPEAKER_02: And the outfit is a Carrie Brad show recreation from uh Sex and City 1, the first movie.
- 8:14SPEAKER_02: It's the opening scene, it's the first time you see her on camera after like uh how long was it between the end, the series finale, and then the movie?
- 8:22SPEAKER_02: I want to say like five years.
- 8:24SPEAKER_02: Maybe more.
- 8:25SPEAKER_02: Yeah, maybe.
- 8:26SPEAKER_02: It was a long time, so it was her big reveal.
- 8:28SPEAKER_02: And I watched it recently because I was like, wow, how accurate is this?
- 8:31SPEAKER_02: And it's pretty accurate.
- 8:32SPEAKER_02: It's pretty accurate.
- 8:33SPEAKER_02: I mean it's the drag version enormous.
- 8:35SPEAKER_02: Um, but the way they kind of like reveal her, it's a bit of a jump scare.
- 8:38SPEAKER_02: It's like because like girls walk by and she's like, and maybe there is like a horror sound, or I projected I'm projecting that.
- 8:46SPEAKER_02: But um, nah, I I think it it was I've always wanted to recreate this for no reason because it it's um seared in my mind.
- 8:54SPEAKER_01: Not only um did you want to recreate it for no reason, you did, and it took you years, a literal calendar year to complete the project.
- 9:02SPEAKER_02: It did.
- 9:02SPEAKER_02: I bought a flower dress from Mew Mews, not Mew Mew, the designer, Mew Meuse, fast fashion garbage.
- 9:10SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 9:10SPEAKER_02: Um and it was like on a normal girl.
- 9:13SPEAKER_02: It was like the whole dress was a flower on me.
- 9:14SPEAKER_02: It was a fucking boot in air.
- 9:16SPEAKER_02: Uh so I took that off.
- 9:17SPEAKER_02: Friend of the pods, Steph um Cybul, thread it so, or or like outline the petals with her sewing machine so I could thread it with wire.
- 9:26SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 9:26SPEAKER_02: And then I hand painted all these little detailed lines and veins and thingies.
- 9:33SPEAKER_01: You sure did.
- 9:33SPEAKER_01: What was it?
- 9:34SPEAKER_01: Like, was it like 24 petals that had to be?
- 9:37SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 9:38SPEAKER_01: And it was I helped you with that.
- 9:39SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 9:40SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 9:40SPEAKER_02: The wiring, you you bruised your finger or something.
- 9:43SPEAKER_02: That was big.
- 9:44SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 9:45SPEAKER_02: Allie.
- 9:46SPEAKER_02: That was a big it was a hard time for you.
- 9:48SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 9:49SPEAKER_01: Um shut the fuck up.
- 9:50SPEAKER_01: I literally helped you finish that.
- 9:52SPEAKER_01: You're reading me.
- 9:53SPEAKER_01: But I remember your it was your finger was it was painful.
- 9:57SPEAKER_01: It's like because you invented the one way to make it as impossible to finish as possible.
- 10:01SPEAKER_01: You were like, I think I want to use like razor wire to uh line the inside and outside of my mouth.
- 10:06SPEAKER_01: And it was like, okay, like let's go for it.
- 10:09SPEAKER_02: It's right.
- 10:10SPEAKER_01: But he was getting stressed out, but I was like, what does it matter?
- 10:12SPEAKER_02: When I finish, I finish.
- 10:13SPEAKER_02: I like projects.
- 10:14SPEAKER_02: Well, there it was for something, but yeah.
- 10:17SPEAKER_02: I was actually probably for the premiere of season one, maybe.
- 10:22SPEAKER_02: I it was.
- 10:23SPEAKER_02: It was actually.
- 10:25SPEAKER_02: Well, look at me now.
- 10:26SPEAKER_00: Yeah, she's done and she's fun.
- 10:28SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 10:28SPEAKER_02: She is fun, she's so good.
- 10:30SPEAKER_02: And I have a black Balenciaga shoe on.
- 10:33SPEAKER_02: Are you gagging, Fabio?
- 10:34SPEAKER_01: I'm gagging, but as as always, we are forgetting the very nature of our podcast, so I guess I ask you who are you wearing and what is your problem?
- 10:42SPEAKER_01: I know, it's been a second.
- 10:43SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 10:44SPEAKER_02: And I've missed those words.
- 10:47SPEAKER_02: Haven't I?
- 10:49SPEAKER_02: This needs to like spray water.
- 10:52SPEAKER_02: Um, who am I wearing and what is my problem?
- 10:55SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 10:55SPEAKER_02: I didn't give this any thought.
- 10:56SPEAKER_02: You know who I'm wearing?
- 10:58SPEAKER_02: Me, Mew Mews remixed by me and you.
- 11:00SPEAKER_02: But is the white dress Mew Mews too, or is that That's another fashion fast fashion brand that I don't remember from London.
- 11:08SPEAKER_02: But it's a piece of garbage.
- 11:09SPEAKER_02: It's like a tube dress that's really, really one size fits all.
- 11:13SPEAKER_01: Yeah, but you know what?
- 11:15SPEAKER_01: Uh when a queen is bodied right, wearing like a stretch tube dress is kind of like it's kind of it.
- 11:21SPEAKER_01: It's kind of tea.
- 11:22SPEAKER_01: You look, yeah, your body is tea.
- 11:23SPEAKER_01: Um and we clocked it and we gagged it.
- 11:25SPEAKER_01: Um you look great.
- 11:27SPEAKER_02: She's thick, but she's cute.
- 11:29SPEAKER_02: Well, when I lost about a lot of weight, I felt kind of manly.
- 11:32SPEAKER_02: Like sometimes when I get too skinny, I look more manly.
- 11:34SPEAKER_02: So I'm hoping when I play this back, I'll be soft and supple.
- 11:38SPEAKER_01: Gina Curvatia.
- 11:39SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 11:39SPEAKER_02: Oh, yeah.
- 11:40SPEAKER_02: So it's a Balenciaga shoe, and I said earlier, I'm like, you either get it or you don't.
- 11:44SPEAKER_02: It's like I need these this is for my Guido girlies, like who can like go for like a sassy shoe.
- 11:50SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 11:51SPEAKER_02: You know, I feel like I sent this around to some people, and some people gagged, and some people were like, lol.
- 11:57SPEAKER_02: But it's like, I'm not expecting my like hipster crunchy, like Brooklyn comedian girlies to like like a stiletto.
- 12:04SPEAKER_02: And why are you sending it to who wouldn't?
- 12:06SPEAKER_02: No, I cast the net really wide.
- 12:08SPEAKER_02: We're talking like Fran.
- 12:11SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 12:12SPEAKER_02: No, Fran with like.
- 12:14SPEAKER_02: Are you kidding?
- 12:15SPEAKER_02: Fran gets it.
- 12:16SPEAKER_02: Fran, honey, you get the Balenciaga heel.
- 12:18SPEAKER_02: But you know what?
- 12:19SPEAKER_02: Um, this is Sean Bennett.
- 12:22SPEAKER_01: He's like, he's like, I can my wig tracker is uh good.
- 12:26SPEAKER_02: Yeah, he's like I he's like, my spidey sense is telling me you almost didn't wear the wig I styled, and I didn't.
- 12:34SPEAKER_01: Because um he gave this an extra permy kind of look, but it's working.
- 12:39SPEAKER_01: We did this look once, you wore it out in the wild in like the wind.
- 12:43SPEAKER_01: And uh it's a it's a Wigs by Vanity Nikita, um, which is it's got a it's tangle prone.
- 12:51SPEAKER_01: Yeah, it's tangle prone, it's curly, and it needed to be kind of zhuzhed and reset, so you handed it off to Sean to to work on, and like literally the day that he started working on it, uh, Vanity put out a video being like, this is how you fix the wig when it gets like tangly and round.
- 13:06SPEAKER_02: Even her fixing the wig, um it never I hate crimpy wigs to be honest.
- 13:11SPEAKER_02: I'm only doing this for Carrie.
- 13:12SPEAKER_02: They never fully get back to the way they should be, I think.
- 13:15SPEAKER_02: I don't like them.
- 13:16SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 13:16SPEAKER_02: Never again.
- 13:17SPEAKER_02: But this is working, it's cute, it's per me, it's 80s.
- 13:20SPEAKER_02: And so is Carrie Bradshaw.
- 13:22SPEAKER_02: She sure is.
- 13:23SPEAKER_02: But wait, back to the black shoe.
- 13:24SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 13:24SPEAKER_02: So this is spot on recreation.
- 13:26SPEAKER_02: But I was like, Steph, when she was doing this, I was like, the only thing I think I would do differently, I wouldn't put put this with a black shoe.
- 13:33SPEAKER_02: I would I'd put it with like a stoned kind of strappy sandal.
- 13:37SPEAKER_02: And Steph was like, actually, I kind of think the black shoe is dope.
- 13:40SPEAKER_02: And I was like, I respect you.
- 13:43SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 13:43SPEAKER_02: So I did.
- 13:44SPEAKER_02: She she convinced me that the black shoe was like kind of what makes it.
- 13:48SPEAKER_02: Actually, this is Pat Field for you.
- 13:49SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 13:50SPEAKER_02: He used to do the costume design for all the, you know, that shit.
- 13:53SPEAKER_02: It totally does it.
- 13:53SPEAKER_02: It's so Carrie.
- 13:55SPEAKER_02: It's sorry, Kari.
- 13:56SPEAKER_02: Um, but I try to do sloppy quick makeup.
- 13:58SPEAKER_01: You went really fast and then we hit a brick wall somehow.
- 14:01SPEAKER_02: So Yeah, I got my my makeup was fast, but then getting ready was slow and hot and just like we're rusty.
- 14:08SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 14:09SPEAKER_02: But that's why it's good that it's just us.
- 14:11SPEAKER_02: Totally.
- 14:11SPEAKER_02: But can you tell that I did sloppy quick makeup?
- 14:13SPEAKER_01: No, I a little bit.
- 14:14SPEAKER_01: I mean, I no, I honestly I can't tell that it's sloppy.
- 14:17SPEAKER_01: I mean, I could maybe tell that it's quicker.
- 14:19SPEAKER_02: I mean, I could tell it is quicker because I was here for a lot of it, but I But it's like it's a softer, it's not like a razor sharp like cut crease, all this.
- 14:26SPEAKER_02: I was cutting corners.
- 14:28SPEAKER_02: But but it doesn't look cut corners and no not creases.
- 14:34SPEAKER_02: It doesn't look bad.
- 14:36SPEAKER_02: Cut corners, not creases.
- 14:39SPEAKER_02: Like maybe if I deliver it cleaner, it'll make me be better.
- 14:43SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 14:44SPEAKER_02: Better for the audience.
- 14:47SPEAKER_02: Wait, I will I have to shout out um rare beauty.
- 14:50SPEAKER_02: Oh, you you've been wearing the highlights?
- 14:52SPEAKER_02: Like uh her makeup brand kind of makes my eyes roll back.
- 14:56SPEAKER_02: Crystal Versace uh dropped.
- 14:59SPEAKER_02: Yeah, she was like, people are sleeping on this highlighter, and they are because it's really, really good.
- 15:03SPEAKER_02: I'm not even a highlighter girly, but it's so natural, it's beautiful.
- 15:07SPEAKER_02: I need to get the whole line.
- 15:09SPEAKER_01: Yeah, in like in like power and like justice and like positive names.
- 15:14SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 15:14SPEAKER_02: Oh wow, yeah.
- 15:15SPEAKER_02: Power and justice.
- 15:16SPEAKER_02: This is power and justice.
- 15:17SPEAKER_02: Power and justice.
- 15:18SPEAKER_02: I I did a uh half and half.
- 15:20SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 15:20SPEAKER_02: It's an Arnold Palmer, if you will, yeah.
- 15:23SPEAKER_02: Of blush.
- 15:24SPEAKER_01: Um what pencil were you using to carve out your ooh?
- 15:27SPEAKER_02: Makeup forever.
- 15:28SPEAKER_02: Which makeup forever, those pencils pay their rent.
- 15:32SPEAKER_02: Those pencils literally uh keep their lights on.
- 15:35SPEAKER_02: I've been told by like the manager.
- 15:37SPEAKER_02: Mr.
- 15:37SPEAKER_02: Forever.
- 15:37SPEAKER_02: Antonio.
- 15:38SPEAKER_02: What's his last name?
- 15:39SPEAKER_02: I don't know, Antonio.
- 15:40SPEAKER_02: Hi, Antonio.
- 15:41SPEAKER_02: Uh I'm assuming you're a fan and you watch.
- 15:44SPEAKER_02: But um, yeah, they the pencils keep their lights on.
- 15:46SPEAKER_02: Wow.
- 15:47SPEAKER_02: They have a lot of amazing products.
- 15:48SPEAKER_01: Every every brand has like their staple product that like really does kind of like drive all of the profit.
- 15:53SPEAKER_01: They have a lot of great products, yeah.
- 15:54SPEAKER_02: But that one is extra good.
- 15:56SPEAKER_02: Geared, extra good.
- 15:57SPEAKER_02: I used to think it was like the French version of Mac, because like I I thought it was a French company, but I think it's Canadian.
- 16:03SPEAKER_02: Well, Mac is Canadian too.
- 16:04SPEAKER_02: Oh, maybe that's the thing.
- 16:05SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 16:06SPEAKER_02: I don't know, but what I will brag about is they the uh image for that brand was always a girl biting a lip brush with like an immaculate red lip.
- 16:16SPEAKER_02: I have it.
- 16:16SPEAKER_02: They don't make it anymore.
- 16:18SPEAKER_02: I have that little lip brush.
- 16:19SPEAKER_02: Oh.
- 16:20unknown: Oh my god.
- 16:22SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I know, I know.
- 16:26SPEAKER_02: Thank you.
- 16:27SPEAKER_02: It's pretty cool.
- 16:28SPEAKER_02: Cool stuff.
- 16:29SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 16:29SPEAKER_02: Big guy?
- 16:30SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 16:30SPEAKER_02: Well, who are you wearing and what is your problem?
- 16:32SPEAKER_02: I'm enough uh enough of my products.
- 16:33SPEAKER_01: Oh my gosh.
- 16:34SPEAKER_02: Well, I can't give away all my secrets.
- 16:37SPEAKER_01: I'm wearing uh a almost direct color match to the couch suit by Ortu, which no offense to Ortu.
- 16:47SPEAKER_01: Love ya.
- 16:48SPEAKER_01: We've hit you up so many times, but it's like when you're going to Ortu when you're trying to style something, you're you're in trouble.
- 16:54SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 16:54SPEAKER_01: It's like you're you're trying to put a rack together for like a photo shoot or for some kind of styling thing, and you're like, There's a time and a place.
- 17:01SPEAKER_01: There is a time and a place, but it's like it's a desperdi gras.
- 17:04SPEAKER_01: Yeah, it's a desperate time in a dangerous place.
- 17:06SPEAKER_01: Where you're like, I don't know, like New Year's E.
- 17:08SPEAKER_01: It's it's right now.
- 17:10SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 17:10SPEAKER_02: Slash Mardi Gras.
- 17:12SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 17:13SPEAKER_02: The premiere of season two.
- 17:14SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 17:14SPEAKER_01: So raging pussy pink uh double breasted suit, um horrible fast fashion, uh fake square toe boots.
- 17:23SPEAKER_02: Oh, you're bad.
- 17:24SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 17:25SPEAKER_02: First one of the season.
- 17:26SPEAKER_02: Oh.
- 17:29SPEAKER_01: Um, I uh I wanted to wear a t-shirt that was like sex in the city themed or like some kind of like actual piece of swag or merch, but like the show came out in the 90s and 2000s, so it's like there was no real like commemorative merch line for the show.
- 17:46SPEAKER_01: Yeah, merch didn't exist.
- 17:47SPEAKER_01: Merchant didn't exist.
- 17:48SPEAKER_01: So it's like everything I looked up was like a horrible Amazon, like, are you a Carrie with like a bad vector image of SJP?
- 17:55SPEAKER_02: Like you should wear an are you a carry in earnest.
- 18:00SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I should.
- 18:00SPEAKER_01: Uh, but I found um on eBay a Sex in the City branded slots t-shirt.
- 18:08SPEAKER_01: So this is like so it's not official SATC merch, but it is official SATC slots, like it's licensed.
- 18:15SPEAKER_01: So it's it is some kind of merch.
- 18:16SPEAKER_01: Um I I kind of want to play slots.
- 18:18SPEAKER_01: I mean, having the urge to gamble, I've I that's so weird.
- 18:22SPEAKER_01: I've I've been getting like, not that I've been like getting gambling ads, but like a lot of like gambling content has been like in my world.
- 18:28SPEAKER_02: You're radiating like waves of no, I've been like looking up gambling opportunities.
- 18:33SPEAKER_02: But I can't I can't wait to wear this out in the colour.
- 18:34SPEAKER_02: Trickling into your algo.
- 18:36SPEAKER_01: In my algo, yeah.
- 18:37SPEAKER_01: I can't wait to wear this out in the world because I feel like Maybe you should crop it.
- 18:40SPEAKER_01: That'd be fun.
- 18:40SPEAKER_01: Yeah, just a little bit.
- 18:41SPEAKER_01: But it's like it'd be so because it's so funny to be like, oh, sex in the city.
- 18:44SPEAKER_01: Slots?
- 18:44SPEAKER_01: It's like what's slots?
- 18:47SPEAKER_02: It's like a slut joke.
- 18:48SPEAKER_02: I'm like Samantha.
- 18:51SPEAKER_02: Are you a carry?
- 18:52SPEAKER_02: No, you're a Miranda.
- 18:53SPEAKER_02: I'm not a Carrie.
- 18:54SPEAKER_01: I'm a Miranda.
- 18:55SPEAKER_01: I mean, I think I think everyone, unless like you are the biggest loser on earth, like everyone is a little bit carry.
- 19:00SPEAKER_01: Like, because everyone's the main character of their own story and ruining your own life.
- 19:04SPEAKER_01: I wish I had a laptop to do like eat a popsicle.
- 19:09SPEAKER_01: And I I feel like almost no one is a Charlotte.
- 19:12SPEAKER_02: No, there are they're out there.
- 19:13SPEAKER_02: I think it's almost I dated one.
- 19:14SPEAKER_02: Scary Oh god, that can't be true.
- 19:16SPEAKER_02: A male Charlotte.
- 19:18SPEAKER_02: Jesus.
- 19:18SPEAKER_02: No, the girl back in like Heist.
- 19:22SPEAKER_01: Oh, oh, oh.
- 19:22SPEAKER_01: Back in Heights.
- 19:23SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 19:23SPEAKER_02: Um you know, Charlotte is kind of pearl necklace core, but high school version of that.
- 19:29SPEAKER_02: Do you remember when Tiffany came out with like chrome pearls?
- 19:34SPEAKER_02: And that was like the T.
- 19:35SPEAKER_02: Oh, I feel like they were.
- 19:37SPEAKER_01: Deep in my brainstem, you're unlocking something.
- 19:39SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 19:40SPEAKER_02: It was chrome pearls, and it was like Tiffany.
- 19:42SPEAKER_01: Oh, speaking of necklaces, what do you what do you got on your chesticle?
- 19:46SPEAKER_02: Awwww, Mike bought me a teeny Gina.
- 19:49SPEAKER_02: Teeny Gina plate.
- 19:50SPEAKER_02: Teeny Tiny, and I love it.
- 19:52SPEAKER_01: It's like it's a beautiful plate.
- 19:53SPEAKER_01: Maybe we I should get one that says Bugatti.
- 19:55SPEAKER_01: If I could find one, that'd be funny.
- 19:56SPEAKER_01: Oh my god, Bugatti, that'd be funnier.
- 19:58SPEAKER_02: As if I'm keeping that name.
- 20:00SPEAKER_02: Honey, that's going by episode two.
- 20:02SPEAKER_02: No, I'm gonna try to stick to it.
- 20:03SPEAKER_01: Uh Gina is such a small name that it like is such a small plate, like it's almost microscopic.
- 20:10SPEAKER_02: We needed to crank this up for drag.
- 20:12SPEAKER_02: I looked for like a G, a big G.
- 20:14SPEAKER_02: It's hard to find one that's elegant because a lot of them are chubby and clut.
- 20:17SPEAKER_02: And like in the video that we did a little fake little like labels or love intro, recreation of the movie, and I had a big chubby G on it.
- 20:25SPEAKER_02: It ain't cute.
- 20:25SPEAKER_02: No, it's algo, yeah.
- 20:27SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 20:28SPEAKER_02: Um and recently you told me that no one ever gets you presents.
- 20:31SPEAKER_02: Yeah, no one ever So I need to get you something.
- 20:33SPEAKER_02: Well, it was so funny because I feel like I do get you presents, but I don't.
- 20:35SPEAKER_01: No, you got me a pair of cashmere pants literally 12 years ago.
- 20:40SPEAKER_01: Which is like way before we were doing that.
- 20:42SPEAKER_01: Way before we were like friends weren't giving presents to friends.
- 20:45SPEAKER_01: But also it's like you got me a pair of cashmere bell bottoms.
- 20:48SPEAKER_01: It's like what did you think?
- 20:48SPEAKER_01: And they had a mermaid scalloped sale to wear them?
- 20:52SPEAKER_01: Like oh, as if you didn't get misty-eyed.
- 20:56SPEAKER_01: No, I was a little confused.
- 20:58SPEAKER_01: I mean, it was great, but it was like even back.
- 21:01SPEAKER_01: I mean, you would look great in that.
- 21:02SPEAKER_02: Give me mermaid pants back.
- 21:03SPEAKER_02: Give me my trucker hat back.
- 21:06SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 21:06SPEAKER_02: No, I do need to take that because I don't wear hats as a guy.
- 21:09SPEAKER_02: They don't look good on me unless it's a trucker hat.
- 21:12SPEAKER_02: Because if it's like a fitted cap, I look like inbred.
- 21:15SPEAKER_02: Like really, something's not right.
- 21:17SPEAKER_02: Small, weird skull.
- 21:19SPEAKER_02: I don't have a small head.
- 21:20SPEAKER_02: Just I don't know, the shape of it's not not good.
- 21:22SPEAKER_02: Yeah, it's not good.
- 21:24SPEAKER_02: Not good.
- 21:25SPEAKER_02: Um, but wait, what is your problem?
- 21:26SPEAKER_02: Did you say no?
- 21:27SPEAKER_01: I didn't say it, but I don't have a problem.
- 21:29SPEAKER_01: I have more problems than I've ever had in my entire life.
- 21:32SPEAKER_01: I do have a problem, but go.
- 21:34SPEAKER_01: Well, we haven't talked about it on the pod, but like I know.
- 21:37SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 21:38SPEAKER_01: Um, we didn't talk about it on the Patreon episode, which we shot before this because we were just only focused on wicked, which was great because it was like I didn't have to talk about it.
- 21:46SPEAKER_02: But she needed an escape.
- 21:47SPEAKER_01: I did.
- 21:47SPEAKER_01: I needed to go to Oz.
- 21:49SPEAKER_01: Escape to Oz.
- 21:50SPEAKER_01: Um so I'm suffering from intense PTSD because my husband, Michael Proudie, was I have to be careful with.
- 22:00SPEAKER_01: Like how I word it because of like the legal side of all of it.
- 22:02SPEAKER_01: He was involved in a vehicular accident.
- 22:05SPEAKER_02: And he was just on the sidewalk.
- 22:06SPEAKER_02: He he was hit, and it's it was so so awful around shortly after we did the Christmas episode.
- 22:12SPEAKER_01: It was the day be it was Monday, the day before the Christmas episode went out.
- 22:17SPEAKER_01: So if you're keeping track.
- 22:18SPEAKER_02: So how uh did you have a good holiday?
- 22:20SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah, it was really good.
- 22:22SPEAKER_01: Yeah, he was uh in the hospital for 25 days.
- 22:26SPEAKER_01: He had three surgeries.
- 22:28SPEAKER_01: Serious?
- 22:28SPEAKER_01: Well, he was in the hospital and then he was in the uh the acute rehab.
- 22:31SPEAKER_01: So uh he was in the hospital.
- 22:32SPEAKER_02: I realized I knew it was a long time, but wow, 25 wow, 20 25 days.
- 22:37SPEAKER_01: He had three surgeries in the first week, and then he had a follow-up surgery a few weeks, I think a month out of getting out of the hospital.
- 22:46SPEAKER_01: He's gonna have two more surgeries this year.
- 22:50SPEAKER_01: And then, I mean, that's everything that's scheduled for now, but it's a long road.
- 22:55SPEAKER_01: A long road, yeah.
- 22:56SPEAKER_01: But he is doing really well considering he's doing great, yeah.
- 22:59SPEAKER_01: He's been incredible, incredibly strong.
- 23:02SPEAKER_01: Um truly really focused on taking care of himself and healing, and uh he's been in good spirits the whole time.
- 23:10SPEAKER_02: I would almost say.
- 23:11SPEAKER_02: I mean, you obviously see things I don't see because you live with him and take care of him and all of that, but from what I've seen, it's been really, really impressive because you and I have said, like, my God, I mean couldn't handle it.
- 23:23SPEAKER_01: No, I mean just the amount of like change, you know.
- 23:26SPEAKER_01: I think we're both very routine oriented and we like our things, and to be thrown literally like ejected from your life by force and have to change everything to try and live.
- 23:39SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I think you and I would both have a pretty hard time with that.
- 23:41SPEAKER_01: But totally.
- 23:42SPEAKER_02: And I'm so like vain, I think we're both very vain.
- 23:45SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 23:45SPEAKER_02: I mean, he looks great, he's come a long way, but he still has surgeries and stuff to go.
- 23:49SPEAKER_02: Yeah, like you said.
- 23:50SPEAKER_02: But um, yeah, he's a trooper.
- 23:52SPEAKER_02: And so are you though.
- 23:54SPEAKER_02: I really think like, you know, it's been uh just as difficult for you, also just being there the whole time.
- 24:00SPEAKER_02: You saw a lot of it, you know.
- 24:01SPEAKER_02: He in in a way, I feel like you you're almost worse off because you've experienced it when he was sort of out of it for a f days on end and all that shit.
- 24:10SPEAKER_02: But I think I mean I had Pat yourself on the back.
- 24:13SPEAKER_02: Because like you really have been, I'm sure, an amazing husband, and thank you for holding it all together.
- 24:19SPEAKER_01: It means a lot.
- 24:19SPEAKER_01: Um things are looking up, right?
- 24:21SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 24:22SPEAKER_01: Well, I guess yes and no, because I mean, yes, everything is looking up.
- 24:25SPEAKER_01: I'm like I'm like, actually, I'm we're on camera.
- 24:28SPEAKER_01: I'm like, sorry, everything's great.
- 24:30SPEAKER_01: Um no, keep it real.
- 24:31SPEAKER_01: We keep it real around here.
- 24:32SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 24:33SPEAKER_01: Uh I think I like forgot that I literally have I literally have PTSD.
- 24:38SPEAKER_01: Like, I think like in the past I was telling you like about things that were like triggering me.
- 24:41SPEAKER_01: Like I we were watching the Sopranos and like some and you know Chris Randall showed and has to go to the hospital.
- 24:45SPEAKER_02: I've been trying to get you to watch the Sopranos for year years, but you choose like after like a weird traumatic accident violent accident.
- 24:52SPEAKER_01: Yeah, just to get back into like even more violence.
- 24:54SPEAKER_01: But it was it was um it was truly like uh viscerally triggering, like um sort of sent me into like an anxious state.
- 25:04SPEAKER_01: I I I had a really difficult time driving.
- 25:08SPEAKER_01: I had like a panic attack, I was irritable and like erratic and all over the place, and just like not I I've never like been affected by stuff that way, at least not that intensely.
- 25:21SPEAKER_01: Like you'd just literally be like thrown back into like a panic mode by something that like is not real.
- 25:26SPEAKER_01: You know, I saw something that reminded me of something, and then I went back to this really negative place.
- 25:31SPEAKER_01: So I I always thought like that if that happened, I'd be like on a in a ball on the floor, like hyperventilating, but it's not, it's more like kind of creeps in and like takes over your life for like three days where like everything is a little bit off for a while, and you're like, why am I why am I fucking crazy right now?
- 25:45SPEAKER_01: And it's like, oh, it's because I'm literally chest tightening.
- 25:48SPEAKER_01: Yeah, why am I 72 hours?
- 25:50SPEAKER_01: I got triggered by something, and then you have to like tease out like what caused it.
- 25:53SPEAKER_01: But I think because it's like it it's in intermittent, and there's enough going on in my life and and our shared life that um there's plenty to be distracted by, but like I I I kind of this week had to like remind myself that I was like, oh, I'm fucked, you know, like this is crazy.
- 26:12SPEAKER_01: Like the things that happened, just the impact of it, like continues to be very significant.
- 26:18SPEAKER_01: And I think like again to Michael's credit, he's he's healed so much and he's done so well that I think it's easy to kind of forget that you're still very in it.
- 26:29SPEAKER_02: Yeah, or that like this insane thing happened, you know, like it's uh I mean it happened as recent as like it was December, and it is end of December.
- 26:37SPEAKER_02: So it hasn't been much time.
- 26:39SPEAKER_02: It's been a amazing progress, but you're still like close to it, you know.
- 26:43SPEAKER_02: It's gonna be, you know, we'll have to check in at December.
- 26:47SPEAKER_02: Yeah, you know, what is a whole year of it?
- 26:48SPEAKER_01: We'll be at episode three by then.
- 26:49SPEAKER_01: So yeah.
- 26:51SPEAKER_02: Um but you know what I mean?
- 26:53SPEAKER_02: It's like it hasn't even been a year yet.
- 26:54SPEAKER_02: But I'm sure it's been it feels like it's a century, I'm sure, for you guys.
- 26:58SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 26:58SPEAKER_02: But as an outsider, you both I think are doing a really impressive job at coping and moving forward and healing, and I don't know, that's really I commend you both because that's very difficult.
- 27:11SPEAKER_02: Thank you.
- 27:11SPEAKER_02: And I I struggle with like life being unfair and all that stuff because it's just no one deserves that, especially our little prowdy.
- 27:18SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 27:19SPEAKER_02: So it's just bizarre.
- 27:21SPEAKER_02: Tell your loved ones you love them, everyone.
- 27:24SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 27:24SPEAKER_01: Um, but also, I mean, I I was tell talking with about talking with you about this yesterday, but it's like I I your support has been amazing.
- 27:33SPEAKER_01: Like you let me sob on you, which was um needed, uh, and you cooked me meatballs.
- 27:41SPEAKER_01: I did against my will, which I did off that.
- 27:44SPEAKER_01: I was like cat sitting, and I was like, I'm gonna make boxes.
- 27:46SPEAKER_01: Oh my god, that's the crazy okay, well, there's like so many chapters and layers, and it's like I don't need to get into it, but it was like so you you were cat sitting because I was like going back and forth to the hospital like every day, and somebody needed to like watch Marcel, our amazing, beautiful, hairless cat Marcel.
- 28:01SPEAKER_01: Literally, when you were leaving, I like looked down on the floor and I was like, is that like throw up?
- 28:05SPEAKER_01: I was like, did Marcel throw up?
- 28:07SPEAKER_01: And he has never thrown up the entire two years we've had.
- 28:10SPEAKER_01: So of course I like killed the cat.
- 28:11SPEAKER_01: And then the next day I woke up and I saw just like more throw up on the floor and like weird little pieces of like, I don't know, reusable bag and in it.
- 28:18SPEAKER_01: And I was like, oh my god, the cat is gonna fucking die.
- 28:21SPEAKER_02: And I was like, I was panicking because I was like, the one time I like cats it and get the he's the couch.
- 28:28SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 28:29SPEAKER_02: You killed him.
- 28:30SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 28:30SPEAKER_02: I killed him.
- 28:30SPEAKER_02: I was like, was it the Pecorino Romano?
- 28:32SPEAKER_01: Because he was snacking.
- 28:34SPEAKER_01: He was kind of like he loves human food.
- 28:37SPEAKER_01: So he he just got I think he got anxious and he definitely something happened.
- 28:41SPEAKER_01: He ate stuff he wasn't supposed to.
- 28:43SPEAKER_01: I had to take him to the pet emergency room.
- 28:46SPEAKER_01: So I was like, this was insane because it was like I I first I had to go to the hospital to tell Michael that I'm like, hey babe, I have to uh leave a little early today.
- 28:55SPEAKER_01: And he's like, why?
- 28:56SPEAKER_01: It's like, oh, the cat is sick now, too.
- 28:58SPEAKER_01: So and I had to take the cat to the pet emergency room and they had to like scan and pump his stomach, and I had to like explain to this like 24-year-old vet, you can be a vet at 24.
- 29:08SPEAKER_01: She just was so nice and sweet and quiet and small, and she just was like, Yeah, so we'll like do our best, but like we might have to, you know, if if things are bad, we'll have to like open him up.
- 29:15SPEAKER_01: And I was just like, I was like, if you not do that, please.
- 29:18SPEAKER_01: He tried not to.
- 29:19SPEAKER_01: I'm literally in the hospital with my husband right now.
- 29:21SPEAKER_01: And then she was like, Oh my god.
- 29:24SPEAKER_02: It'd be kind of funny if you didn't tell her.
- 29:25SPEAKER_02: She's like, Are you bro, are you okay?
- 29:27SPEAKER_00: Like, no, no.
- 29:29SPEAKER_01: But it was rubber bands.
- 29:30SPEAKER_01: It was rubber bands.
- 29:31SPEAKER_01: He ate a 10 rubber bands and for attention, basically.
- 29:34SPEAKER_01: Y'all, when I found that out, I was like, Woo!
- 29:37SPEAKER_02: We're in the clear.
- 29:38SPEAKER_02: I thought it was gonna be like a call of a car like or something.
- 29:41SPEAKER_02: I was like, fuck, I killed the cat.
- 29:42SPEAKER_02: Yeah, it was a huge win for um me and my uh for your community.
- 29:46SPEAKER_02: No, but then the cat ate rubber bands.
- 29:49SPEAKER_01: But then after that, I had a horrible flu for a c a whole week, and I couldn't be in the hospital with him.
- 29:55SPEAKER_01: So thankfully my parents were there, Michael's family was there, his stepmom stayed with him overnight, every night, which was like necessary because it just was so bleak.
- 30:05SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 30:05SPEAKER_01: Um, and he was alone, like, you know, during at nighttime.
- 30:09SPEAKER_02: Um I caught a version of what you had.
- 30:11SPEAKER_02: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 30:12SPEAKER_02: But I wasn't.
- 30:13SPEAKER_02: You know how I have like a weird mental, like, I usually don't get sick.
- 30:17SPEAKER_02: I got I don't know if it was the flu, because you were bedridden that was crazy, but I got a very, very bad cold, maybe from the highest.
- 30:23SPEAKER_01: I mean, something was going around.
- 30:24SPEAKER_01: I mean, probably, yeah.
- 30:26SPEAKER_02: It's just unlike me, but yeah, my version of whatever I had, and certainly not as worse as what you had, but it was pretty brutal because I'm like tough with that shit, or like I don't get affected by that.
- 30:36SPEAKER_02: And I was like, ooh, keep trying to keep it together because I had to go to Atlanta.
- 30:39SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 30:39SPEAKER_00: And I was like, I'm just I'm fine.
- 30:44SPEAKER_01: Anyway, uh horrible anecdotes of pain and suffering uh over.
- 30:49SPEAKER_01: Um things are looking up.
- 30:52SPEAKER_02: Things are looking up, we're back on the couch.
- 30:54SPEAKER_01: Back on the couch.
- 30:54SPEAKER_01: We can't book a single guess, but oh yeah, it's been tricky.
- 30:58SPEAKER_02: It's really been tricky.
- 30:59SPEAKER_02: Well, on a lighter note, my problem is um I committed the cardinal sin of having uh truffle aioli.
- 31:09SPEAKER_01: Oh, yeah.
- 31:10SPEAKER_01: Uh listeners, watchers, friends of the pod, there is a new Italian bakery that opened, literally caddy corner from our studio.
- 31:19SPEAKER_01: It's kind of bomb dum.
- 31:20SPEAKER_01: We like we'll go and call Bombolina.
- 31:25SPEAKER_01: We know you're watching.
- 31:26SPEAKER_01: We know you're watching.
- 31:27SPEAKER_01: No, they they are amazing.
- 31:28SPEAKER_01: It's like a it's like a bakery, so it's like fresh focaccia and like uh awesome pastries, and they have I I want to say like a 94 chapter long uh sandwich menu.
- 31:36SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 31:37SPEAKER_01: Uh yeah.
- 31:37SPEAKER_01: And we're so slow, quickly working our way through it.
- 31:39SPEAKER_01: I've been um I've been bombolining.
- 31:42SPEAKER_02: Yeah, as you can tell.
- 31:43SPEAKER_02: Umbolina home.
- 31:45SPEAKER_02: I did bombolina's here.
- 31:47SPEAKER_02: Um but yeah, I I got an egg sandwich with like a truffle.
- 31:50SPEAKER_02: Uh but I will say that which I never do.
- 31:52SPEAKER_02: It's on the line.
- 31:53SPEAKER_01: It's on the line, it's on the line.
- 31:54SPEAKER_01: It's on but it's on the safe side of the line.
- 31:56SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 31:57SPEAKER_02: But still, I'm not I'm not into truffle.
- 31:59SPEAKER_02: It's not worth it.
- 32:00SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 32:01SPEAKER_02: It's like, forget it.
- 32:02SPEAKER_02: Truffle fries, if you please, that will be coming out of your nose for nine years.
- 32:06SPEAKER_02: For nine years.
- 32:08SPEAKER_02: If you are anywhere near a date, please lay off the truffle fries for your sake.
- 32:13SPEAKER_01: Unless, I guess, like maybe unless you're both truffling and then gonna like have like sweaty pig sacks.
- 32:18SPEAKER_01: I mean, like, but if you're both truffled, I mean truffled.
- 32:21SPEAKER_01: Sorted out.
- 32:22SPEAKER_01: If you're both truffled up, yeah.
- 32:24SPEAKER_02: Wow.
- 32:25SPEAKER_02: Yucky.
- 32:26SPEAKER_02: And also, you know what's a huge pet peeve of mine?
- 32:28SPEAKER_02: I mean, truffle is on Gina's list of bad things that give you nose breath.
- 32:32SPEAKER_01: Nose breath.
- 32:33SPEAKER_02: As you all know, maybe.
- 32:34SPEAKER_02: Um first, as y'all know, of the season.
- 32:36SPEAKER_02: Yes, y'all know.
- 32:37SPEAKER_02: Uh, yeah.
- 32:39SPEAKER_02: Um, even a bigger pet peeve is when an event has I do events, I I work in event design, um, they serve truffle.
- 32:48SPEAKER_02: Forget it.
- 32:49SPEAKER_02: It's like, are you kidding?
- 32:50SPEAKER_02: I just did an event in the uh winter, right?
- 32:53SPEAKER_02: Like in the new year, and it was like, what internation?
- 32:59SPEAKER_02: This is past apps and a couple stations, and I'm like, you just lost all my respect as the client.
- 33:06SPEAKER_02: Like, you sent a lot of money, you let me do whatever I wanted to do, decor wise, blah blah blah blah blah.
- 33:10SPEAKER_02: So you wheeled out the truffle?
- 33:12SPEAKER_02: No! You ruined the party, it's stinky, it's hubastank.
- 33:14SPEAKER_02: It's stupid.
- 33:15SPEAKER_01: It's also it's so it's so passe.
- 33:17SPEAKER_01: I mean, no offense to anyone who's like loving a truffle fry, but it's like Well, that's why like the double truffle.
- 33:22SPEAKER_01: I want to say buck sesh is embarrassing me because it's like that's a lot of truffle.
- 33:27SPEAKER_01: It's almost like 90s.
- 33:28SPEAKER_01: I guess I guess it's 2000s.
- 33:29SPEAKER_01: I feel like it's 2010s.
- 33:31SPEAKER_01: When it went from gourmazing to ocasing.
- 33:35SPEAKER_01: Yeah, it's ocasing.
- 33:37SPEAKER_01: It's okay.
- 33:38SPEAKER_02: It's don't get me wrong, it's very flavorful, but people abuse it.
- 33:41SPEAKER_02: The oil, the salt, all it.
- 33:42SPEAKER_02: It's freaky.
- 33:43SPEAKER_02: All that.
- 33:44SPEAKER_02: And there's so many times I like a making out with someone, I'm like, they had truffle a week ago.
- 33:49SPEAKER_02: So I did it.
- 33:50SPEAKER_02: See there.
- 33:52SPEAKER_02: I did it.
- 33:53SPEAKER_02: Yeah, Bombolino, thank you for um making me break all my rules and all the furniture in town.
- 34:00SPEAKER_02: They are really good.
- 34:00SPEAKER_02: I need to you know what I need to lay off of?
- 34:02SPEAKER_02: The uh Australian dairy.
- 34:04SPEAKER_02: What?
- 34:05SPEAKER_02: Think about it.
- 34:07SPEAKER_02: What?
- 34:08SPEAKER_02: You sent me a video of Tyra Banks being like, Oh, I've been hiding in Australia.
- 34:13SPEAKER_01: I can't remember what the fuck you're talking about, is because that that's crazy.
- 34:16SPEAKER_01: Doesn't make any sense.
- 34:17SPEAKER_01: It makes a lot of sense.
- 34:19SPEAKER_01: What we're referring to is a uh recent video interview of Tyra Banks talking about why she lives in Australia now.
- 34:26SPEAKER_01: Which like no one knew.
- 34:27SPEAKER_01: Spoiler alert, it's again, it's because of ice cream.
- 34:29SPEAKER_02: It's always no one knew she was in Australia or cared.
- 34:31SPEAKER_02: Right.
- 34:32SPEAKER_02: She's like, I have a little like secret.
- 34:34SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 34:35SPEAKER_02: She's like a statement to say.
- 34:36SPEAKER_02: We're like, okay.
- 34:38SPEAKER_02: Not even a secret.
- 34:39SPEAKER_02: Uh I've been in Australia and it's because of the dairy.
- 34:43SPEAKER_02: And we're like, oh, the dairy cows.
- 34:45SPEAKER_01: It's like, is Australia known for their dairy?
- 34:47SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
- 34:47SPEAKER_01: I mean, I think they have like different um hormone like laws and like uh antibiotics.
- 34:53SPEAKER_01: I I think like their meat and dairy, I think it's like better than American because our stuff is like bumped full of chemicals and theirs isn't.
- 34:59SPEAKER_02: You know, honestly, respect.
- 35:00SPEAKER_02: If she's taking our ice cream company that hard, like far, like she's going, she's but she's us.
- 35:04SPEAKER_02: Is it a company?
- 35:05SPEAKER_02: He's a loser.
- 35:05SPEAKER_01: Is it a company?
- 35:06SPEAKER_01: Like, is it really like can you can you buy the ice cream?
- 35:09SPEAKER_01: I think it's as well in Dubai.
- 35:11SPEAKER_02: I think.
- 35:12SPEAKER_02: You know what I mean?
- 35:13SPEAKER_02: She's us, literally.
- 35:14SPEAKER_02: She really moved to Australia to find the right dairy.
- 35:16SPEAKER_02: It's like that this is us.
- 35:18SPEAKER_02: This is me painting my flower for months and months and months.
- 35:21SPEAKER_02: There are easier paths to take.
- 35:23SPEAKER_02: Katie, no one's asking you to do this to shove yourself, to shove your trophophagus body into this fucking look, honey.
- 35:30SPEAKER_02: No one's asking for this.
- 35:30SPEAKER_02: It's a podcast.
- 35:31SPEAKER_02: But whatever.
- 35:32SPEAKER_02: Respect to her.
- 35:33SPEAKER_02: But she's operating Australian dairy is real.
- 35:35SPEAKER_01: I think I texted you, it was like, there's no one on earth who is like functioning at her level.
- 35:41SPEAKER_01: Like, she, it's like beyond David Lynch.
- 35:44SPEAKER_01: Like something about her mind is just like there's some, it's like mystery and fear and comedy, and like she's Kook's banana, that's for sure.
- 35:52SPEAKER_01: She is Kook's banana.
- 35:53SPEAKER_02: But I live for her, and she's um she did a week on uh Good Morning America or or uh Jenna and Friends, because Hoda went to space.
- 36:00SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 36:01SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 36:01SPEAKER_02: No Gail.
- 36:04SPEAKER_02: Hoda's next, don't worry.
- 36:05SPEAKER_02: I know.
- 36:05SPEAKER_02: In my head, I was like, Hoda went to space.
- 36:07SPEAKER_02: Woo! But like Hoda like didn't pass the psych test or something.
- 36:11SPEAKER_02: Uh so they're like, ew, uh, get in there.
- 36:14SPEAKER_02: But um uh so she did a week with Jenna as like the friend.
- 36:18SPEAKER_02: Uh-huh.
- 36:18SPEAKER_02: And I was like, she's been looking good.
- 36:20unknown: Yeah.
- 36:21SPEAKER_02: As kooky as she is, and as diried up as she is, uh, I do want to see her work.
- 36:26SPEAKER_02: Like, I do want to see her book.
- 36:28SPEAKER_01: I think we ruined You mean we want to see what she's like up to now?
- 36:31SPEAKER_02: Like no, no, like I like what we want to see her book.
- 36:33SPEAKER_01: I thought you I thought he meant her book.
- 36:34SPEAKER_01: I was like, I own the book.
- 36:37SPEAKER_01: Honey.
- 36:38SPEAKER_01: Um yeah, I like to see her working.
- 36:40SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I think we I think we all deep down want Tyra.
- 36:42SPEAKER_01: We kind of want her to go away.
- 36:43SPEAKER_01: We want Tyra to win, but I think she's she's her inner and outer saboteur.
- 36:49SPEAKER_01: Everything that she is actively doing and pursuing in her life is causing her to fail.
- 36:54SPEAKER_01: But she's winning.
- 36:54SPEAKER_01: I think she thinks she's winning.
- 36:56SPEAKER_01: I think she thinks she's winning.
- 36:57SPEAKER_01: My biggest fear is that her ice cream business is gonna fail.
- 36:59SPEAKER_01: You know, because second company.
- 37:02SPEAKER_01: It's not even the first one.
- 37:03SPEAKER_01: The first was Smise Cream, now it's Smise Dream.
- 37:06SPEAKER_01: What happened?
- 37:07SPEAKER_01: Yeah, what happened there?
- 37:08SPEAKER_01: I want the I want the Hulu documentary series about that.
- 37:11SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I want the forensic uh accounting done.
- 37:15SPEAKER_01: I want to see, I want to follow those numbers and see where they go.
- 37:19SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 37:19SPEAKER_02: But um, it's smise and dream cream supreme.
- 37:23SPEAKER_01: She It's like, I would I want to love anything as much as Tire Banks loves ice cream.
- 37:30SPEAKER_02: I know.
- 37:30SPEAKER_02: Remember when Julio and Spike were on and we we brought up Model Land and the lead is Tookie de la Creme.
- 37:35SPEAKER_02: Yeah, who knew the creme?
- 37:37SPEAKER_02: Who knew the creme was what the creme would be?
- 37:40SPEAKER_02: Who knew?
- 37:40SPEAKER_02: Wow.
- 37:41SPEAKER_02: We just thought she was riffing.
- 37:44SPEAKER_02: She's like doing what she does.
- 37:46SPEAKER_02: I feel weird.
- 37:47SPEAKER_01: I've just been focused, locked in.
- 37:50SPEAKER_01: I've been in ice cream land.
- 37:51SPEAKER_01: It's like you have been in ice cream land.
- 37:53SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 37:54SPEAKER_01: You're the like she can travel between worlds and she pulls information from those worlds and she tries to plug it into our reality and it doesn't work.
- 38:03SPEAKER_01: But she's getting something, she's she's moving inches toward her goal.
- 38:06SPEAKER_01: And when she gets there, I think there's gonna be a big shift.
- 38:10SPEAKER_01: There's gonna be a huge shift when she finally gets what she wants.
- 38:13SPEAKER_01: The world will be better.
- 38:14SPEAKER_01: I think it will.
- 38:15SPEAKER_01: I think we can agree that the world will be better.
- 38:18SPEAKER_02: Girl, if you just wanted unlimited ice cream, like you didn't need to make just buy ice cream.
- 38:23SPEAKER_02: Yeah, you didn't have to make two companies.
- 38:26SPEAKER_02: Yeah, that's what it's all about.
- 38:27SPEAKER_02: She just wanted that Australian cream, honey.
- 38:30SPEAKER_02: Oh my gosh.
- 38:31SPEAKER_02: I I do think those Australian cows.
- 38:34SPEAKER_02: They must be good.
- 38:35SPEAKER_02: See, I like my animals really confined and pumped with full of antibiotics, yeah.
- 38:41SPEAKER_02: Growth hormone.
- 38:41SPEAKER_02: Uh, give give me it all.
- 38:43SPEAKER_02: You know, and and they wear uh aluminum deodorant.
- 38:46SPEAKER_02: The animals.
- 38:48SPEAKER_02: They're pumped full of talcos.
- 38:50SPEAKER_02: They're being the products are being tested on them.
- 38:51SPEAKER_02: The animals are fully beat.
- 38:53SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 38:54SPEAKER_02: Mac tests on animals, and I eat the animals.
- 38:57SPEAKER_02: And this is what you got.
- 38:59SPEAKER_02: Should we take a break?
- 39:00SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 39:00SPEAKER_02: Beery?
- 39:08SPEAKER_02: You like Westside's story?
- 39:09SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 39:10SPEAKER_02: Me too.
- 39:12SPEAKER_01: Well, that's it.
- 39:13SPEAKER_01: Thanks for coming to the Big Country Couch.
- 39:15SPEAKER_02: Wait, I actually saw the It was sad that COVID ruined Westside's story with Isaac Powell, I think his name is.
- 39:22SPEAKER_02: He's such like a hot dinosaur-y kind of looking gay guy who's pretty.
- 39:26SPEAKER_02: It's a pretty dinosaur.
- 39:27SPEAKER_01: Uh-huh.
- 39:28SPEAKER_02: Um, young reptile.
- 39:30SPEAKER_02: I had the privilege of seeing the opening night right before it got shut down.
- 39:34SPEAKER_02: Wow.
- 39:35SPEAKER_02: And then never came back.
- 39:36SPEAKER_02: It was sad.
- 39:37SPEAKER_02: Because like they used a rain curtain that was like state of the art.
- 39:41SPEAKER_02: It was crazy.
- 39:42SPEAKER_02: It rained the whole second um semester.
- 39:46SPEAKER_02: What it was that I know.
- 39:48SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 39:49SPEAKER_02: I was like, what is theater?
- 39:51SPEAKER_02: The whole second act it's raining.
- 39:53SPEAKER_02: Wow.
- 39:53SPEAKER_02: And it's like, whoa, what did that cost?
- 39:55SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 39:55SPEAKER_01: Amazing.
- 39:56SPEAKER_02: Wow.
- 39:57SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 39:57SPEAKER_02: I wish you saw the play.
- 39:59SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 39:59SPEAKER_02: Because as good cool and good as it was, there were some things that were experimental.
- 40:04SPEAKER_02: They were trying stuff out.
- 40:05SPEAKER_02: That was like, I would love to know what you think.
- 40:07SPEAKER_02: I mean, I live for experimental theater.
- 40:09SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 40:10SPEAKER_02: Uh you sure do.
- 40:11SPEAKER_02: But uh it was like a live video feed.
- 40:13SPEAKER_02: It was very like video.
- 40:15SPEAKER_02: Oh fully chess.
- 40:16SPEAKER_02: I mean like Joel Hearts.
- 40:17SPEAKER_02: I know.
- 40:18SPEAKER_01: Wait, so you said uh weird reptilian gay guy, but I had a I had a note that I wanted to the guy from Baby Girl has a product campaign, and I just don't think that's fair.
- 40:30SPEAKER_01: What's Baby Girl?
- 40:31SPEAKER_01: Baby Girl is the movie with Nicole Kidman.
- 40:34SPEAKER_01: Is she plays like an exec who has like a younger employee who she winds up getting into like a Dom sub relationship with, and he is the Dom.
- 40:43SPEAKER_01: And who's the guy again?
- 40:44SPEAKER_01: I don't remember his name.
- 40:45SPEAKER_01: He's a younger, more up-and-coming.
- 40:47SPEAKER_01: Was he in White Lotus?
- 40:48SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
- 40:48SPEAKER_01: Let's look it up.
- 40:50SPEAKER_02: I can't believe you didn't watch White Lotus.
- 40:51SPEAKER_02: Like, how do you have a podcast and you didn't watch White Lotus?

- 41:50SPEAKER_01: This guy has a product campaign.
- 41:55SPEAKER_01: And I I want to be like, he's been in one movie.
- 41:57SPEAKER_01: He's been in one movie, but he's been in a lot of movies, and this is like his come-up.
- 42:00SPEAKER_01: He's like becoming a bigger name, but I was kinda kind of like, and that gets you a product campaign.
- 42:04SPEAKER_01: I don't think that's fair.

- 44:45SPEAKER_01: A drag queen with bad breath is like a staple.
- 44:47SPEAKER_01: Like it sort of uh.
- 44:50SPEAKER_02: Right?
- 44:52SPEAKER_01: You're like, you're like, right?

- 45:34SPEAKER_02: Honey, I'm practically there.
- 45:35SPEAKER_02: Yeah, it would have been really cool if I didn't shower.
- 45:37SPEAKER_02: I was like the feminine urge to not shower until after the episode.
- 45:41SPEAKER_02: But then I had sex with someone or hooked up, kinda, and I was like, it's beyond.
- 45:47SPEAKER_02: Because I was like a little self-conscious because I was smelly then.
- 45:49SPEAKER_02: I was ripe then for the hookup.
- 45:51SPEAKER_02: You didn't shower before the hookup?
- 45:53SPEAKER_02: Oh, girl.
- 45:53SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 45:54SPEAKER_02: No, I went from Mediterranean pubis to like center of the earth.
- 45:57SPEAKER_02: I brought the pubis to the fucking hookup.
- 46:00SPEAKER_02: And I was like, I did this?
- 46:08SPEAKER_02: I'm like, what then and Steph Bauer in front of the pod, shout out.
- 46:13SPEAKER_02: Get her on here.
- 46:14SPEAKER_02: I saw her when we were in um North Carolina.
- 46:18SPEAKER_02: North Carolina.
- 46:18SPEAKER_02: I was doing that.
- 46:19SPEAKER_02: I was like, and she said it stop, she screamed, stop.
- 46:23SPEAKER_02: It's giving me the ick.
- 46:25SPEAKER_01: I hate the ick.
- 46:26SPEAKER_01: I know.
- 46:27SPEAKER_01: I hate the ick.
- 46:28SPEAKER_01: The ick gives me the ick.
- 46:29SPEAKER_01: It's not like I want to find whatever fucking idiot tweeted that or like wrote it in their godhead article or something and said like the ick, like with a capital I.
- 46:39SPEAKER_01: It's like, shut the fuck up.
- 46:41SPEAKER_01: Shut the real up.
- 46:42SPEAKER_02: But also the ick is real.
- 46:44SPEAKER_01: It is, but it should I shouldn't be called.
- 46:45SPEAKER_02: It shouldn't be called that.
- 46:46SPEAKER_02: And also I should have Steph shouldn't have been icked out.
- 46:49SPEAKER_02: I was like, I was offended.
- 46:50SPEAKER_02: I was like, it's funny.
- 46:50SPEAKER_02: I'm being funny.
- 46:51SPEAKER_01: Yeah, but you can be it can be funny and you can still get the ick.
- 46:54SPEAKER_01: I mean, like, that's uh a testament to its humor, I would say.
- 46:58SPEAKER_01: If it's grossing you out.
- 47:01SPEAKER_01: I guess you're right.
- 47:04SPEAKER_01: Um I hate the ick.
- 47:05SPEAKER_01: I hate the ick.
- 47:07SPEAKER_02: I can't explain.
- 47:07SPEAKER_02: But what gives you the ick?
- 47:09SPEAKER_02: It's hard.
- 47:09SPEAKER_02: You can't say it.
- 47:10SPEAKER_02: You can't if you know exactly what gives you the ick, like you need help.
- 47:14SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 47:14SPEAKER_02: You know what I mean?
- 47:15SPEAKER_02: It should kind of just be like a thing you can't even speak to.
- 47:18SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 47:18SPEAKER_02: Because like if you have that many things lined up, that much red tape up, like, forget it.
- 47:23SPEAKER_02: You're fucked.
- 47:24SPEAKER_02: I also just think you're unlovable.
- 47:25SPEAKER_01: I think the ick is like a sort of a dumbing down of being like, oh, this person is a bad communicator, or this person has interests that I don't like at all, or this person is like cats fruit leather breath.
- 47:35SPEAKER_01: Yeah, exactly.
- 47:36SPEAKER_01: So, and they're not brushing their teeth and doing anything about it.
- 47:40SPEAKER_01: Once a day, do you do twice a day?
- 47:42SPEAKER_01: Most days.
- 47:43SPEAKER_01: But sometimes you go to bed with and you're like, I'm not doing it.
- 47:47SPEAKER_01: But it'll be real, it's rare.
- 47:49SPEAKER_02: In this rare queen, brushes twice a day.
- 47:53SPEAKER_02: No, it doesn't.
- 47:54SPEAKER_02: Doesn't explain anything.
- 47:56SPEAKER_02: Sarah, friend of the pod, family, friend, lover, family, ex-wifey, mother, mother, brother, um, was like, that is disgusting.
- 48:07SPEAKER_02: You don't brush your teeth twice a day.
- 48:09SPEAKER_02: She fucking dragged me to hell, and I was like, I don't think most people in New York.
- 48:14SPEAKER_02: It's New York.
- 48:16SPEAKER_02: New York is a bad breath town.
- 48:17SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 48:18SPEAKER_01: Because like, there's too much to do.
- 48:20SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 48:20SPEAKER_01: You're you're fucked.
- 48:21SPEAKER_01: I've put like a go bag in like literally every bag that I have.
- 48:24SPEAKER_01: I have a toothbrush, floss.
- 48:25SPEAKER_01: That was your New York stick, Joke.
- 48:27SPEAKER_01: It was a revolution.
- 48:28SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 48:28SPEAKER_01: You like put chapstick in every single thing.
- 48:30SPEAKER_01: And and today I needed to floss and I fucking couldn't find my fucking floss because I must have like tossed it and whatever.
- 48:36SPEAKER_01: But you know what I did?
- 48:36SPEAKER_01: I took a piece of that fucking grass.
- 48:38SPEAKER_01: No, and shoved it to my molars.
- 48:40SPEAKER_01: I got this.
- 48:42SPEAKER_01: This is crazy.
- 48:43SPEAKER_01: I needed it.
- 48:44SPEAKER_02: And it's like something you took a piece of prop grass.
- 48:47SPEAKER_02: You stipped prop grass and flossed your fucking teeth.
- 48:50SPEAKER_02: Wow.
- 48:51SPEAKER_02: I thought you'd be proud of me.
- 48:52SPEAKER_01: Off camera, I am.
- 48:54SPEAKER_02: On camera, I'm like, gave you the ick.
- 48:57SPEAKER_01: Anyway, uh, Sex in the City?
- 49:00SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 49:00SPEAKER_01: I love the movie.
- 49:02SPEAKER_01: The movie is great.
- 49:04SPEAKER_01: Movie one.
- 49:05SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 49:05SPEAKER_02: Movie two, you gotta revisit every soul, every every six years.
- 49:08SPEAKER_02: It's a little embarrassing and sad.
- 49:10SPEAKER_02: Oh, it's so embarrassing.
- 49:11SPEAKER_02: It's so offensive and just cringe.
- 49:13SPEAKER_02: It's cringe, cringe, cringe.
- 49:14SPEAKER_02: I get that's probably like why Game Cadrell doesn't do it anymore.
- 49:17SPEAKER_02: But if you do revisit it, it's like I see what they were trying to go for.
- 49:21SPEAKER_02: There's so many heavy-handed notes of time.
- 49:23SPEAKER_02: But I always say not to make this this needs to be about Sex in the City one, but really quick, Sexton City 2.
- 49:29SPEAKER_02: The writing was so so bad.
- 49:30SPEAKER_02: I always say that like Cynthia Nixon, who we love, is a is one probably has the the choppiest chops.
- 49:37SPEAKER_02: The choppiest chops of the four.
- 49:39SPEAKER_02: Carrie, I mean, yeah.
- 49:41SPEAKER_01: You can pull it like a next writing on the on the yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 49:44SPEAKER_02: But synth Nick's lover, the writing was so bad she had to unlock a new facial expression to get through the movie, which was like, I can't do it because I'm glued, so I don't know if we'll be right back.
- 49:54SPEAKER_02: It was like one eyebrow was like four inches higher.
- 49:56SPEAKER_02: Like I can't do it.
- 49:57SPEAKER_02: Wait.
- 49:58SPEAKER_02: Like, I can't do it.
- 50:01SPEAKER_01: It was, yeah.
- 50:02SPEAKER_01: Furrowed and like You know what I want to say?
- 50:04SPEAKER_01: This is so rude.
- 50:05SPEAKER_01: This is a bit of a Cynthia Nixon read, but um something they don't tell older people is that your teeth move your entire life.
- 50:14SPEAKER_01: You should get Invisalign at 50.
- 50:16SPEAKER_01: I think like that actually would be a great campaign.
- 50:19SPEAKER_01: Like they should say, like, it's only gonna get worse.
- 50:22SPEAKER_01: So start your dove beauty bar.
- 50:24SPEAKER_01: Get your grill fixed up a little bit.
- 50:27SPEAKER_01: Like when you're 50.
- 50:28SPEAKER_01: When you're 50.
- 50:28SPEAKER_01: Get your grill fixed up a little bit.
- 50:30SPEAKER_01: When you're 50.
- 50:32SPEAKER_01: I think that's an amazing campaign.
- 50:34SPEAKER_01: Because like, look at your parents.
- 50:36SPEAKER_01: If you ever look at their teeth, you're like parents love to have gray teeth.
- 50:39SPEAKER_01: No, no, okay, hold on.
- 50:40SPEAKER_01: Hold on, hold on, hold on.
- 50:42SPEAKER_01: Hold on, hold on, hold on.
- 50:44SPEAKER_01: You know who loved gray teeth the entire decade of the 90s?
- 50:49SPEAKER_01: A 90s celebrity cigarette tooth.
- 50:52SPEAKER_01: Enamel wasn't a thing.
- 50:54SPEAKER_01: Like, you just would see like Julia Roberts, gray teeth.
- 50:56SPEAKER_01: It just was like, it was so Michelle Pfeiffer, gray teeth.
- 50:59SPEAKER_01: It was so classy.
- 51:01SPEAKER_02: Not worrying about enamel.
- 51:02SPEAKER_02: It was very European to not care about enamel.
- 51:05SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 51:05SPEAKER_02: Wow.
- 51:06SPEAKER_02: It's really frustrating.
- 51:07SPEAKER_02: I'm sorry.
- 51:07SPEAKER_02: I'm just I'm I'm mad at myself because I can't activate the face that she act like created.
- 51:12SPEAKER_01: We'll put in a pic of her.
- 51:15SPEAKER_01: It's like it's sort of like crunch.
- 51:17SPEAKER_01: She's sort of like imploring.
- 51:18SPEAKER_01: She's like, help, like, like give me something.
- 51:22SPEAKER_01: It's like a crunched kind of furrow, like that's crooked.
- 51:25SPEAKER_02: It's like being a mother's heart.
- 51:28SPEAKER_02: I'm away from Brady in Dubai.
- 51:31SPEAKER_02: Brady is gay.
- 51:33SPEAKER_02: He's not.
- 51:34SPEAKER_02: I know.
- 51:35SPEAKER_02: Isn't it so fun that all the children are still like on the show?
- 51:38SPEAKER_02: It's great, but it's I love that legacy.
- 51:40SPEAKER_01: It's great, but uh uh they I think Sexton City 2 that was a warning sign for what was to come, unfortunately.
- 51:49SPEAKER_01: You can follow and just like that back to SATC2.
- 51:52SPEAKER_01: That is really like that.
- 51:54SPEAKER_01: She's she's the seed.
- 51:55SPEAKER_01: But back to one.
- 51:56SPEAKER_01: Back to one.
- 51:57SPEAKER_01: And back to one.
- 51:58SPEAKER_02: The movie is really, really good, and then you realize it's a whole fucking season packed into one movie.
- 52:04SPEAKER_02: She has 9,000 hair colors in that movie.
- 52:06SPEAKER_02: She goes brunette for an hour.
- 52:08SPEAKER_02: Literally, it is literally real time a year.
- 52:12SPEAKER_02: You spend a year in the cinema if you go.
- 52:15SPEAKER_02: It's still playing in.
- 52:16SPEAKER_02: You come out brunette.
- 52:16SPEAKER_02: It's still playing in the cinema.
- 52:18SPEAKER_02: Uh it goes on and on and on and on and on.
- 52:21SPEAKER_02: But sometimes if you just want a sweet treat, put it on until like Big doesn't show up to the wedding.
- 52:26SPEAKER_02: That's all you need.
- 52:26SPEAKER_02: Put it on until it's like a bouquet of flowers hitting a camera.
- 52:31SPEAKER_02: Because like that's the POV they went with, and it's kind of weird.
- 52:34SPEAKER_02: How do you feel about Big?
- 52:36SPEAKER_02: Cute, ha.
- 52:37SPEAKER_02: I like him better than Aiden.
- 52:38SPEAKER_02: It made more sense to me.
- 52:40SPEAKER_02: I think it looks like he wears lipstick.
- 52:43SPEAKER_02: Yeah, he does have like man with purple lips.
- 52:46SPEAKER_01: Syndrome.
- 52:47SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 52:47SPEAKER_02: Berry.
- 52:48SPEAKER_01: It's a crushed berry.
- 52:49SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 52:49SPEAKER_01: If you've ever.
- 52:50SPEAKER_01: And that's when a man has that syndrome, it's like if you've ever in the forest.
- 52:55SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 52:56SPEAKER_01: Just did a quick made your own makeup.
- 52:58SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 52:58SPEAKER_01: If you ever made your own makeup in the forest.
- 53:00SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 53:01SPEAKER_01: From fruit.
- 53:01SPEAKER_01: That's the syndrome where it's like, what's going on with that dick?
- 53:04SPEAKER_01: You know, it's like, I would love to know.
- 53:06SPEAKER_01: Well, also, he's a um he's a sexual assaulter.
- 53:10SPEAKER_01: But it's like if someone who isn't Chris Noth has purple lips, I'm curious like what your nipples and your penis look like.
- 53:15SPEAKER_01: Just because, like, yeah, you know, they always say it matches.
- 53:19SPEAKER_02: Maybe, maybe I have the purple lip.
- 53:21SPEAKER_02: Purple penis.
- 53:22SPEAKER_02: I have a purple penis, kinda.
- 53:23SPEAKER_02: Patreon?
- 53:24SPEAKER_01: Uh find out.
- 53:27SPEAKER_02: Find out.
- 53:28SPEAKER_02: Um, I saw Chris Chris Noth in a Starbucks once.
- 53:31SPEAKER_02: Interesting.
- 53:31SPEAKER_02: Is he punching someone?
- 53:33SPEAKER_02: No, he's in line.
- 53:34SPEAKER_02: What did he order?
- 53:35SPEAKER_02: Frap?
- 53:37SPEAKER_02: It was pre-egbites for sure.
- 53:39SPEAKER_02: Pre-egbites.
- 53:39SPEAKER_02: I was in Astra Place.
- 53:40SPEAKER_02: Wow.
- 53:41SPEAKER_02: Doug Kiever, like a while back.
- 53:44SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 53:44SPEAKER_02: He might have gotten um Madeline's.
- 53:49SPEAKER_01: Weird.
- 53:50SPEAKER_01: Weren't we just talking about how like back in the day Starbucks was like referencing a coffee shop and it used to be like Yeah, it was Seattle.
- 53:58SPEAKER_01: Yeah, it used to be like plush, uh, big armchairs and like textures and textiles.
- 54:03SPEAKER_02: Tattered, quilted.
- 54:04SPEAKER_01: And it's like when when they changed the logo, they like made everything like concrete and I like the new direction.
- 54:10SPEAKER_01: It the mermaid was.
- 54:12SPEAKER_01: Have you lost a nail?
- 54:13SPEAKER_01: Not one.
- 54:14SPEAKER_01: Wow, they're locked in.
- 54:15SPEAKER_01: Yeah, you did good.
- 54:17SPEAKER_02: Thanks.
- 54:18SPEAKER_02: But we we knew.
- 54:19SPEAKER_02: I said, this is a short nail kind of for me.
- 54:22SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 54:22SPEAKER_02: And I was like, this is gonna be permanent.
- 54:24SPEAKER_02: Because like over the years, she's gotten heavy on the glue because they never stick, sometimes they don't go on.
- 54:30SPEAKER_02: Now we were going now.
- 54:31SPEAKER_01: We were going kind of fast, and I was I was gonna wait to see if you ever clocked this, but you've got one hand that's uh stones and one hand that's glitter.
- 54:41SPEAKER_01: I leave.
- 54:44SPEAKER_01: I didn't know.
- 54:46SPEAKER_01: They should have been alternated, but I couldn't fucking figure out the fucking numbers on the fucking nails.
- 54:50SPEAKER_02: Yeah, you were having a hard time, but you were using a low, low table.
- 54:53SPEAKER_02: But you told me to come in here.
- 54:55SPEAKER_02: Yeah, but I was like, maybe you want to find a higher surface because you were banged.
- 54:58SPEAKER_02: Name one.
- 54:59SPEAKER_02: You were bad.
- 54:59SPEAKER_02: Name one.
- 55:00SPEAKER_02: Name one.
- 55:01SPEAKER_02: Sutton.
- 55:01SPEAKER_02: I hate Sutton.
- 55:02SPEAKER_02: She needs to go.
- 55:03SPEAKER_02: I do not like Sutton.
- 55:04SPEAKER_02: I I liked her when she was a friend of and she was sort of like salty and weird, and not like for the camera.
- 55:11SPEAKER_02: Like that was interesting to me because she was kind of like She's not gonna survive without a child.
- 55:15SPEAKER_02: She got attention.
- 55:16SPEAKER_02: People liked her.
- 55:18SPEAKER_02: She and now she like tries to be like Kathy Hilton, like quirky.
- 55:21SPEAKER_01: She's gonna yeah.
- 55:21SPEAKER_01: She's gonna implode.
- 55:23SPEAKER_01: I think she without an ally, without without Garcello, she's gonna have one season and then she's gonna like storm off and have a bad time.
- 55:30SPEAKER_01: Because they don't like her.
- 55:31SPEAKER_01: They don't, they don't want her, they all don't like her.
- 55:34SPEAKER_01: Like they want her gone.
- 55:35SPEAKER_01: They've tried jealousy.
- 55:37SPEAKER_01: I think they're jealous, but also I think she probably they always say the real drama is caused by something that we don't see on camera.
- 55:44SPEAKER_01: I'm sure she's probably a nightmare.
- 55:46SPEAKER_01: Like she like probably holds up production or she like is weird getting to set or like late getting to the trips or something.
- 55:51SPEAKER_02: She probably I was over her like fake heart attack last reunion.
- 55:55SPEAKER_02: That made me scared.
- 55:56SPEAKER_02: Because like that would be me.
- 55:57SPEAKER_01: I'd be like have like fainting on season.
- 55:59SPEAKER_01: I wasn't buying it.
- 55:59SPEAKER_01: Really?
- 56:00SPEAKER_01: No.
- 56:00SPEAKER_01: Beverly Hills needs help.
- 56:02SPEAKER_01: Every time every time a new season airs, I'm like, this is the season they're taking Kyle down.
- 56:07SPEAKER_01: And like you literally tell me for literally for three or four seasons.
- 56:10SPEAKER_01: I'm so sick of it.
- 56:11SPEAKER_01: And it's so annoying because it's like this was the one season where they where they all could have been like, Kyle, you're full of shit.
- 56:17SPEAKER_01: You are dragging your estranged husband to filth for quote unquote dating people when the entire last season you had a lesbian lover.
- 56:28SPEAKER_01: I hate Mo though.
- 56:30SPEAKER_01: It's sad.
- 56:31SPEAKER_01: I feel bad.
- 56:32SPEAKER_01: Like it's Kyle's show, so I think she gets a very favorable edit.
- 56:36SPEAKER_01: She can clearly direct the storyline.
- 56:39SPEAKER_01: She can say what she isn't gonna talk about.
- 56:41SPEAKER_01: She didn't address her sexuality or her relationship with a woman for an entire season after having her on camera while also still being with her husband for an entire season before.
- 56:52SPEAKER_01: I can't believe I cannot believe not one person like Garcelle could have been like, like, why are you so upset at Mo for doing the exact same thing you did for an entire season with a woman that that by the way we're not allowed to talk about?
- 57:05SPEAKER_01: Like that that to me is like grounds for Kyle to be taken off the show.
- 57:09SPEAKER_01: You know, you don't go.
- 57:11SPEAKER_02: I think I think she should go and come back.
- 57:13SPEAKER_02: She could use a couple seasons off of it.
- 57:14SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 57:15SPEAKER_02: The whole fucking Bev Hills is tired.
- 57:17SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 57:17SPEAKER_02: But um, I think Mo, I I miss Mo when he was like a little chubby.
- 57:21SPEAKER_02: He was the hottest husband of all, like, you know, I thought of housewives because he was like hot, Mediterranean, or like he's Mexican, but he was like chunky.
- 57:33SPEAKER_02: And it's like whenever your husband gets fit, he's cheating on you.
- 57:37SPEAKER_02: Well that's it, it that is tea.
- 57:39SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 57:40SPEAKER_02: Did you hear Dorito file for divorce?
- 57:42SPEAKER_02: But everyone was like, right when they're negotiating contracts.
- 57:46SPEAKER_02: Well, they don't like her either.
- 57:47SPEAKER_02: That's the thing.
- 57:47SPEAKER_02: They I unfortunately think I have a little Dorite in me because I'm like pretty and like dumb, or like the stuff she says, people like say it's constancy.
- 57:55SPEAKER_02: I have a character I play, it's like whatever.
- 57:57SPEAKER_02: I keep telling you that like I play.
- 58:00SPEAKER_01: What I love about her as a character is that every other like she doesn't know the next word that's gonna come out of her mouth.
- 58:06SPEAKER_02: She's long-winded.
- 58:07SPEAKER_01: People who are long-winded, it's a tough uh but I love her being long-winded because she's literally improving and like and she's she's she's finding the thread as she goes.
- 58:17SPEAKER_01: Am I long-winded?
- 58:18SPEAKER_01: You're a talker, huh?
- 58:21unknown: Okay.
- 58:25SPEAKER_01: Uh we were we were trying to talk about S S A T C talking about.
- 58:29SPEAKER_02: We said it once on the pod once.
- 58:30SPEAKER_02: Kristen Davis is the weakest actor of them all.
- 58:35SPEAKER_02: She's getting worse.
- 58:36SPEAKER_02: But uh in the movie, she redeems her herself with the no to big after big leaves and like blah blah blah, and she hits him with the bouquet, and it's the point of view of the camera.
- 58:47SPEAKER_02: She's like, no!
- 58:48SPEAKER_01: Yeah, it was powerful.
- 58:50SPEAKER_01: Because she was really pregnant.
- 58:53SPEAKER_02: Charlotte?
- 58:53SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 58:54SPEAKER_01: No.
- 58:55SPEAKER_01: And then she goes to labor after that.
- 58:57SPEAKER_02: No, she wasn't pregnant.
- 58:58SPEAKER_02: She was pregnant.
- 58:59SPEAKER_02: She was not pregnant in that gown.
- 59:01SPEAKER_02: She was pregnant.
- 59:01SPEAKER_01: Her firstborn is adopted.
- 59:03SPEAKER_01: She can't have a baby.
- 59:04SPEAKER_01: No, she got pregnant after.
- 59:06SPEAKER_01: She has the adopted daughter and she has rock.
- 59:08SPEAKER_01: She was pregnant.
- 59:09SPEAKER_02: What are you thinking of this like a movie?
- 59:10SPEAKER_01: No, she was pregnant, and then when she screams at Big, she goes into labor.
- 59:14SPEAKER_02: No.
- 59:15SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 59:15SPEAKER_01: No.
- 59:16SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 59:16SPEAKER_02: Girl, no.
- 59:17SPEAKER_02: She there's no labor.
- 59:18SPEAKER_02: You're wrong, movie.
- 59:20SPEAKER_02: Wrong universe.
- 59:21SPEAKER_02: She's not pregnant when she's in Dubai.
- 59:23SPEAKER_02: She already had the other baby.
- 59:25SPEAKER_02: I don't know where Care, but I know she's not pregnant in that black dress.
- 59:28SPEAKER_02: Honey?
- 59:29SPEAKER_01: Honey, I don't even know.
- 59:30SPEAKER_01: She doesn't scream at him, guess what?
- 59:33SPEAKER_01: No, no, no.
- 59:34SPEAKER_01: She sees him on the street and screams at him.
- 59:36SPEAKER_02: It's a year later.
- 59:36SPEAKER_02: You're gonna no no no.
- 59:38SPEAKER_02: You're gonna kill yourself when you roll it back.
- 59:41SPEAKER_02: Because I'm talking about after seconds after Carrie's like the point of view, the camera placement is crazy.
- 59:48SPEAKER_02: Right, but long started.
- 59:50SPEAKER_02: I'm confused.
- 59:52SPEAKER_01: I'm gonna be honest.
- 59:52SPEAKER_01: The next time she sees him.
- 59:54SPEAKER_01: Charlotte runs into him on the street and goes into labor when she's like, she's like, you shouldn't have done that.
- 59:58SPEAKER_01: Oh, but I'm talking about like no.
- 1:00:03SPEAKER_02: And she scurries into like the limo.
- 1:00:07SPEAKER_02: She redeems a whole uh series worth of bad acting, and that's what we needed in that moment.
- 1:00:13SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 1:00:14SPEAKER_02: That's called redemption, mama.
- 1:00:15SPEAKER_02: And she really served it.
- 1:00:18SPEAKER_02: She served it up.
- 1:00:19SPEAKER_02: She really served heavy helping.
- 1:00:21SPEAKER_01: She served redemption, mama.
- 1:00:22SPEAKER_02: She served a heavy helping of redemption.
- 1:00:25SPEAKER_02: I've said this before.
- 1:00:26SPEAKER_01: I've said this before, and I'll say it again.
- 1:00:29SPEAKER_01: I'm still team Kim.
- 1:00:30SPEAKER_01: And that's why you have no friends.
- 1:00:33SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 1:00:34SPEAKER_01: Just kidding.
- 1:00:35SPEAKER_01: No, I mean it's true.
- 1:00:36SPEAKER_01: No, I literally was thinking to myself, I was like, I'm your friend.
- 1:00:38SPEAKER_01: She could be friends.
- 1:00:40SPEAKER_01: She could say, like, I had a brain tumor that was altering my personality.
- 1:00:44SPEAKER_01: Everything I said for the last five years has been completely wrong.
- 1:00:48SPEAKER_01: I don't stand by it.
- 1:00:49SPEAKER_02: I'm 100% in the wrong, and I'd still be like, no, it's ego and it's money.
- 1:00:55SPEAKER_02: Let's keep it real.
- 1:00:56SPEAKER_02: I'm sure Sarah is a lot, but I I I dated someone who knew people that were close to that zone.
- 1:01:02SPEAKER_02: I'm sure.
- 1:01:03SPEAKER_02: Everyone loves Sarah.
- 1:01:04SPEAKER_02: I'm sure.
- 1:01:05SPEAKER_02: Have you ever heard people say Sarah is is a nightmare?
- 1:01:10SPEAKER_02: Other than Kim, no one said it.
- 1:01:11SPEAKER_02: Her best friend is Amy Sedarius.
- 1:01:13SPEAKER_02: Sedarius.
- 1:01:16SPEAKER_02: My best friend's Amy Sedarius.
- 1:01:18SPEAKER_02: You know, that's salt of the earth.
- 1:01:20SPEAKER_02: That's a comedian.
- 1:01:22SPEAKER_01: You know?
- 1:01:22SPEAKER_01: I can't explain it.
- 1:01:24SPEAKER_01: I can't explain it.
- 1:01:24SPEAKER_01: It's not rational.
- 1:01:26SPEAKER_02: They're wrong for one.
- 1:01:28SPEAKER_02: It's not.
- 1:01:29SPEAKER_01: It's I can't explain it.
- 1:01:30SPEAKER_01: I can't explain it.
- 1:01:31SPEAKER_01: I know it's not right.
- 1:01:32SPEAKER_01: And I know it's not okay.
- 1:01:34SPEAKER_01: I just feel like no one, no one on earth would choose to walk the path of Kim Catrol.
- 1:01:43SPEAKER_01: What do you mean?
- 1:01:43SPEAKER_01: I just don't.
- 1:01:44SPEAKER_01: I mean, it doesn't make any sense.
- 1:01:45SPEAKER_01: It's illogical.
- 1:01:46SPEAKER_01: And it's and to walk away.
- 1:01:48SPEAKER_01: To walk away, to to to to to flame out, to crash out the way she cra she has crashed out.
- 1:01:54SPEAKER_01: And I there's something about it that I respect.
- 1:01:56SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
- 1:01:56SPEAKER_01: I can't explain.
- 1:01:57SPEAKER_01: I respect the no needs.
- 1:01:59SPEAKER_02: No, I respect that.
- 1:02:00SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 1:02:00SPEAKER_02: Sure.
- 1:02:01SPEAKER_02: I I think I thought it was cool that she was like, I ran this past the finish line for years and years and years.
- 1:02:07SPEAKER_02: It's over for me.
- 1:02:08SPEAKER_02: I did that.
- 1:02:08SPEAKER_02: Like I don't have much more to like I don't have a story to tell.
- 1:02:12SPEAKER_02: Or like the story they're telling me to tell isn't there.
- 1:02:16SPEAKER_02: I respect that.
- 1:02:16SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I want to believe like that's the truth.
- 1:02:18SPEAKER_01: But I but think every time she's like delivered that like year after year after year with like weird extra stuff attached to it.
- 1:02:23SPEAKER_01: It's like, girl, let it go.
- 1:02:25SPEAKER_02: Like I do think she spoiled the franchise a little bit by coming out and saying, like, we weren't friends.
- 1:02:31SPEAKER_02: It was a little like, okay, can you just keep it like a little behind the scenes?
- 1:02:36SPEAKER_02: The drama, like that sort of broke the like image for many losers like myself.
- 1:02:44SPEAKER_02: Did it?
- 1:02:45SPEAKER_02: No.
- 1:02:46SPEAKER_02: I don't care.
- 1:02:47SPEAKER_02: But I know some people did.
- 1:02:50SPEAKER_02: My high school girlfriend.
- 1:02:53SPEAKER_02: She was like, no, no.
- 1:02:54SPEAKER_02: She's like, why did she have to say that?
- 1:02:56SPEAKER_02: I think a lot of women were like, why did like you need to say it wasn't real publicly?
- 1:03:02SPEAKER_02: Like, couldn't you just keep that to yourself?
- 1:03:04SPEAKER_02: Like people were buying into this like sisterhood that was like on camera felt very real.
- 1:03:11SPEAKER_02: They had amazing chemistry.
- 1:03:12SPEAKER_02: That's why it went so l far.
- 1:03:13SPEAKER_01: Well, didn't all the friends actors get the same rate?
- 1:03:17SPEAKER_01: They didn't they all negotiate to get the same amount of money?
- 1:03:20SPEAKER_01: I don't know, but White Lotus, they all make the same.
- 1:03:22SPEAKER_01: So okay.
- 1:03:23SPEAKER_01: Isn't that cool?
- 1:03:24SPEAKER_01: Alright, but listen, okay, so friends, the cast of friends, bigger cast, different variety of actors on that show.
- 1:03:32SPEAKER_01: Sex in the city, smaller cast.
- 1:03:33SPEAKER_01: And I guess what my point is gonna be that like I do think like the Ross and Rachel of it all was probably the biggest relationship in the show.
- 1:03:42SPEAKER_01: It had the most momentum.
- 1:03:44SPEAKER_02: I think people there were a lot of Joey heads, a lot of Phoebe heads, Monica Giller?
- 1:03:48SPEAKER_02: People girl, people like them.
- 1:03:50SPEAKER_01: Flat Monica raised me.
- 1:03:52SPEAKER_01: People like them and they had moments, but it's like that fat suit was ahead of its time.
- 1:03:55SPEAKER_01: I want to see the page count.
- 1:03:56SPEAKER_01: I want to see the page count.
- 1:03:57SPEAKER_02: And I want to see the fat suit.
- 1:04:02SPEAKER_02: You know what I mean?
- 1:04:03SPEAKER_02: That was ahead of its time.
- 1:04:05SPEAKER_02: They went subtle.
- 1:04:06SPEAKER_01: It was kind of like I think we've talked about this before, too.
- 1:04:08SPEAKER_02: Pudged out neck, like work.
- 1:04:11SPEAKER_01: It was real.
- 1:04:11SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
- 1:04:12SPEAKER_01: It's either and like it's either only Sarah's show or it's a it's a foursome.
- 1:04:18SPEAKER_01: You know what I mean?
- 1:04:18SPEAKER_01: It's like it's about her.
- 1:04:20SPEAKER_01: It is about that's what I'm saying.
- 1:04:21SPEAKER_02: An executive producer early on.
- 1:04:23SPEAKER_02: I get it.
- 1:04:24SPEAKER_02: I get the jealousy and the unfairness.
- 1:04:26SPEAKER_02: I'm sure I'd be a petty, crazy person.
- 1:04:28SPEAKER_02: It's like that industry makes you sour nuts.
- 1:04:30SPEAKER_01: 100%.
- 1:04:31SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 1:04:32SPEAKER_02: But anyways, your mental illness is showing.
- 1:04:34SPEAKER_02: I just wanted to say that.
- 1:04:36SPEAKER_01: I'm sure it is.
- 1:04:38SPEAKER_01: No, it's not.
- 1:04:38SPEAKER_02: It's not.
- 1:04:38SPEAKER_02: I just wanted to say that.
- 1:04:39SPEAKER_01: And I'm fully acknowledging that my support of Kim, my unwavering support of Kim Control in all things is coming from a place of complete irrationality.
- 1:04:47SPEAKER_01: But I it someone's got to back her up.
- 1:04:50SPEAKER_02: And I'm doing it.
- 1:04:51SPEAKER_02: I'm happy that you do, to be honest.
- 1:04:53SPEAKER_02: But wait, you know who brought up the friends?
- 1:04:55SPEAKER_02: Everyone got paid well.
- 1:04:57SPEAKER_02: We were gonna get a fucking new season of Roni, and Jill Zaren fucking made that go away because she flipped out and was like, We're all in this together, like friends, they all got the same thing.
- 1:05:08SPEAKER_02: And and it was like, girl, Jill, no one's thought about you for centuries.
- 1:05:13SPEAKER_02: You don't have the same pull as, say, Sonia's Holland Tunnel.
- 1:05:17SPEAKER_02: You know what I mean?
- 1:05:18SPEAKER_02: Exactly.
- 1:05:18SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 1:05:19SPEAKER_02: You know, I don't know.
- 1:05:20SPEAKER_02: So it's just like Jill ruined it for all of us, and you're Jill.
- 1:05:23SPEAKER_01: I'm an Alex and a Luann and a Bethany.
- 1:05:27SPEAKER_02: I think a little bit.
- 1:05:28SPEAKER_02: You're a Luann at your worst.
- 1:05:30SPEAKER_02: Just like I'm Dorinda at my worst.
- 1:05:33SPEAKER_02: You're a little Bethany.
- 1:05:34SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 1:05:36SPEAKER_02: Carol.
- 1:05:37SPEAKER_02: A little Carol.
- 1:05:38SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 1:05:38SPEAKER_02: A loof.
- 1:05:39SPEAKER_02: I'm Dorinda Sonia Carol.
- 1:05:41SPEAKER_01: Uh-huh.
- 1:05:42SPEAKER_02: Would you agree?
- 1:05:43SPEAKER_01: I think you're Sonia Durinda Carol.
- 1:05:46SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 1:05:47SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah.
- 1:05:48SPEAKER_02: In any order.
- 1:05:48SPEAKER_02: Dorinda's my me at my worst.
- 1:05:50SPEAKER_01: Just like Luann's you at your worst.
- 1:05:52SPEAKER_01: I love that you uh assign that to me.
- 1:05:54SPEAKER_02: It's so spot on.
- 1:05:56SPEAKER_02: Just own it.
- 1:05:57SPEAKER_02: If I'm owning Dorinda.
- 1:06:00SPEAKER_01: This episode is gonna be a roller coaster for our listeners.
- 1:06:03SPEAKER_01: They're like, what the fuck are they talking about?
- 1:06:05SPEAKER_02: Well, we're back.
- 1:06:06SPEAKER_02: We're back and we're worse than ever.
- 1:06:08SPEAKER_02: We're worse than ever now.
- 1:06:09SPEAKER_02: Should we do a cunt or punt?
- 1:06:10SPEAKER_02: Sure.
- 1:06:12SPEAKER_02: You said we only had it until midnight.
- 1:06:13SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 1:06:15SPEAKER_02: Cunt or punt.
- 1:06:16SPEAKER_02: I I wrote down Navy Blue.
- 1:06:18SPEAKER_00: Ooh.
- 1:06:19SPEAKER_02: It's pretty polarizing.
- 1:06:20SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 1:06:22SPEAKER_02: I'm gonna say cunt.
- 1:06:24SPEAKER_02: Cunt.
- 1:06:24SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 1:06:25SPEAKER_02: But a lot of people like don't want it.
- 1:06:29SPEAKER_02: Well, it has farty vibes.
- 1:06:31SPEAKER_02: It can.
- 1:06:33SPEAKER_02: I'll never forget, like my oldest sister's first like winter ball gown was navy blue.
- 1:06:40SPEAKER_02: Well, like a navy blue velvet, and I was like navy blue for women, that's a whole different story.
- 1:06:46SPEAKER_02: You should be a Hillary Swank impersonator.
- 1:06:49SPEAKER_02: Because I think she won the Oscar in navy blue.
- 1:06:51SPEAKER_02: Anyways, but um my sister's first winter ball gown was like navy blue velvet, and it was like as a little fucking fag, baby, a baby fag goo.
- 1:07:01SPEAKER_02: I was like, what the fuck?
- 1:07:03SPEAKER_02: Blue, navy blue velvet?
- 1:07:04SPEAKER_02: But I think I think you she redeemed herself.
- 1:07:06SPEAKER_02: Prom, she chose a dress, and the color was called pool.
- 1:07:10SPEAKER_02: That's when it was like the aughts.
- 1:07:12SPEAKER_01: That's amazing.
- 1:07:12SPEAKER_01: You could get a it was like pool.
- 1:07:14SPEAKER_01: You could get a pool guy.
- 1:07:15SPEAKER_01: I think you have to you have to get it away from black.
- 1:07:18SPEAKER_01: That's the thing.
- 1:07:19SPEAKER_01: You have to learn to love navy blue for itself.
- 1:07:22SPEAKER_01: It has to exist outside of the context of black because navy blue is always like the other option for dress pants as like a boy in fourth grade.
- 1:07:30SPEAKER_01: It's the other option for your suit coat for your confirmation.
- 1:07:34SPEAKER_01: It's like it's the other option, and it's always a little less formal.
- 1:07:37SPEAKER_01: But navy blue as a color, navy blue as an idea can be beautiful and deep and rich and complex, but you just have to get away from it thinking about in relationship to black.
- 1:07:48SPEAKER_01: And I also think this is something that my high school choir teacher, Mr.
- 1:07:53SPEAKER_01: Wagner, gay guy, uh he said to me one time, I think we had like a like a recital or something.
- 1:08:00SPEAKER_01: We were traveling, whatever, some kind of competition bullshit thing.
- 1:08:02SPEAKER_01: And I was wearing a brown shirt and black pants because I like didn't have anything else to wear.
- 1:08:05SPEAKER_01: And I was like, you're not supposed to wear brown and black together.
- 1:08:07SPEAKER_01: And he said, if it looks good, you can wear it.
- 1:08:10SPEAKER_01: And I was like, And I was like, Mr.
- 1:08:12SPEAKER_01: I was like, Mr.
- 1:08:13SPEAKER_01: Wagner, you have chocolate over your back.
- 1:08:17SPEAKER_01: You and you have Choco all over your front.
- 1:08:20SPEAKER_02: Um that it was the year of the Choco Taco.
- 1:08:22SPEAKER_01: Yeah, truly.
- 1:08:23SPEAKER_01: Uh so if if it brings if it looks good, you can get away with it.
- 1:08:27SPEAKER_01: You can wear I love all the if it looks colored no no's the faux pas.
- 1:08:30SPEAKER_01: I love 100%.
- 1:08:31SPEAKER_02: Pink and red.
- 1:08:33SPEAKER_02: Pink and red.
- 1:08:33SPEAKER_02: Red and green.
- 1:08:34SPEAKER_02: Right.
- 1:08:35SPEAKER_02: Brown and I love brown and black.
- 1:08:37SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 1:08:38SPEAKER_01: It's amazing.
- 1:08:38SPEAKER_01: You can do it.
- 1:08:39SPEAKER_01: You can do it if it looks right.
- 1:08:41SPEAKER_01: And that there's and it there it can be a time when it's wrong, but it if it's right, it's right.
- 1:08:45SPEAKER_02: If it's right, it's right.
- 1:08:46SPEAKER_02: I can pull off a navy brown and black story.
- 1:08:49SPEAKER_02: Navy brown and black is amazing.
- 1:08:51SPEAKER_02: Yeah, navy brown and black.
- 1:08:53SPEAKER_02: And then gray gets a little like, ooh, ooh, chill.
- 1:08:55SPEAKER_02: But there's a way.
- 1:08:56SPEAKER_02: There's a if there's a little bit.
- 1:09:02SPEAKER_02: Mr.
- 1:09:03SPEAKER_02: Wagner.
- 1:09:05SPEAKER_02: The chalk back is real.
- 1:09:08SPEAKER_02: It's a talk back.
- 1:09:09SPEAKER_02: Anyway, it's a chalk back.
- 1:09:11SPEAKER_01: I think navy blue is cunt.
- 1:09:12SPEAKER_01: Period.
- 1:09:12SPEAKER_02: I think so too.
- 1:09:13SPEAKER_02: Down boots.
- 1:09:14SPEAKER_02: That was maybe better for guests.
- 1:09:16SPEAKER_02: Because maybe people like would have said cunt or punt.
- 1:09:18SPEAKER_02: Depends.
- 1:09:19SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 1:09:19SPEAKER_02: We can always bring bring it back.
- 1:09:21SPEAKER_02: No, we can't.
- 1:09:22SPEAKER_02: Once it's been said, do you have one?
- 1:09:25SPEAKER_01: Because I can keep going.
- 1:09:26SPEAKER_01: Give me one more and then I'll chicken on nachos.
- 1:09:29SPEAKER_01: Oh, well, you said this to me, and I was like, is it shredded?
- 1:09:32SPEAKER_02: Well, funny enough, I wrote that down when it was chopped.
- 1:09:36SPEAKER_02: And I was like, first of all, chicken on nachos is like it's a leap.
- 1:09:41SPEAKER_02: It's just, you know, you're asking a lot of me to you're offering that, and I'm gonna say I'm I'm saying sure.
- 1:09:48SPEAKER_02: It's on the menu.
- 1:09:49SPEAKER_02: This must be special.
- 1:09:51SPEAKER_01: It must be.
- 1:09:53SPEAKER_02: It's a lot for me to get there.
- 1:09:54SPEAKER_02: And I trusted where I was at to give me shredded and it was chopped and cubed.
- 1:10:00SPEAKER_02: And I was like, get out of here.
- 1:10:01SPEAKER_02: No.
- 1:10:02SPEAKER_02: It went on the list.
- 1:10:04SPEAKER_01: No.
- 1:10:04SPEAKER_02: Because overall, I think it's a stretch.
- 1:10:06SPEAKER_01: Chopped chicken on nachos and like chicken on nachos is a definite.
- 1:10:10SPEAKER_01: Even shredded though, is a little like it 100% depends on the integrity of the chip.
- 1:10:15SPEAKER_01: If you can scoop everything, including the chicken, and get to your mouth without the whole thing falling apart, go for it.
- 1:10:22SPEAKER_01: That's all okay.
- 1:10:23SPEAKER_02: But like shredded chicken nachos, sure.
- 1:10:27SPEAKER_02: I guess if it's right, it's right.
- 1:10:29SPEAKER_02: It's probably delicious.
- 1:10:30SPEAKER_02: I've had many amazing shredded chicken nachos.
- 1:10:34SPEAKER_02: I'm sure you have.
- 1:10:35SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 1:10:36SPEAKER_01: Um, but overall, I'm gonna say, I'm gonna say punt.
- 1:10:40SPEAKER_01: I'm going, I mean, you know, contradicting myself, but whatever, it's fine.
- 1:10:43SPEAKER_01: Uh anyway.
- 1:10:44SPEAKER_02: We contradict a lot around here.
- 1:10:46SPEAKER_01: We do.
- 1:10:47SPEAKER_01: We reserve the right to completely disagree with ourselves at any point in time.
- 1:10:50SPEAKER_01: Um I had I had a note about like um Duncan and Baskin Robbins.
- 1:10:55SPEAKER_01: Punt.
- 1:10:56SPEAKER_01: It's punt.
- 1:10:57SPEAKER_01: I don't want it.
- 1:10:58SPEAKER_02: It it it as a former Duncan employee.
- 1:11:01SPEAKER_02: You think I was Duncan Baskin?
- 1:11:02SPEAKER_02: No, I was real Duncan.
- 1:11:04SPEAKER_02: My cousin, Lauren Lemoyne, shout out, love ya.
- 1:11:06SPEAKER_02: She was Duncan Baskin.
- 1:11:07SPEAKER_02: It's and and she still has to deal with that.
- 1:11:10SPEAKER_02: It's lower tier.
- 1:11:11SPEAKER_02: It it it lowers the she's in therapy because of Duncan Baskin.
- 1:11:16SPEAKER_01: It lowers the quality of both brands.
- 1:11:19SPEAKER_01: I think Baskin Robbins, you should learn to stand on your own two feet.
- 1:11:24SPEAKER_01: You should learn to fly.
- 1:11:25SPEAKER_01: You have everything it takes.
- 1:11:26SPEAKER_01: It's these new bankrupt collabs, though.
- 1:11:28SPEAKER_02: But what is Cinnabon has Cinnabon and Carvel are out.
- 1:11:33SPEAKER_01: It's the same thing.
- 1:11:34SPEAKER_01: It lowers both their brands.
- 1:11:35SPEAKER_01: Carvel because they're going under.
- 1:11:36SPEAKER_01: I'm sure they are, but it's a class.
- 1:11:38SPEAKER_01: But it's like Carvel, you're dragging, you shouldn't drag Cinnabon down with you.
- 1:11:43SPEAKER_01: You can Carvel, I believe in you.
- 1:11:45SPEAKER_01: You and Cookie Puss can get back on your two feet.
- 1:11:49SPEAKER_01: You and Fudgy the Whale?
- 1:11:51SPEAKER_01: You can get there.
- 1:11:52SPEAKER_01: Those are iconic characters.
- 1:11:54SPEAKER_01: That's a movie franchise.
- 1:11:55SPEAKER_01: See, I'm like Cinnabon, you can you got this girl.
- 1:11:57SPEAKER_01: That's what I'm saying.
- 1:11:59SPEAKER_01: Cinnabon is fine.
- 1:12:00SPEAKER_01: Cinnabon is fine.
- 1:12:01SPEAKER_01: You don't Cinnabon does not need Carvel.
- 1:12:03SPEAKER_01: Duncan does not need Basket Robbins.
- 1:12:06SPEAKER_02: No.
- 1:12:06SPEAKER_02: Duncan.
- 1:12:07SPEAKER_02: But I gotta get Laura.
- 1:12:09SPEAKER_02: We should phone in Lauren because I'm like, did she make did was she trained to make shakes?
- 1:12:12SPEAKER_02: If it wasn't fucking 4 a.m., I'd give her a call.
- 1:12:15SPEAKER_02: She'd pick up.
- 1:12:16SPEAKER_02: But whatever.
- 1:12:17SPEAKER_02: Uh because I do but it's was she trained to make shakes?
- 1:12:20SPEAKER_02: I was OG.
- 1:12:21SPEAKER_02: I was classique.
- 1:12:22SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 1:12:22SPEAKER_02: They didn't train me and they gave me keys.
- 1:12:24SPEAKER_02: That's it.
- 1:12:24SPEAKER_01: I worked 4 45 a.m.
- 1:12:25SPEAKER_01: to noon.
- 1:12:26SPEAKER_01: Also, in my mind, you were going, you were working a shift before school.
- 1:12:31SPEAKER_01: No.
- 1:12:32SPEAKER_01: Which isn't possible.
- 1:12:33SPEAKER_01: Like you were doing like a 4 a.m.
- 1:12:34SPEAKER_01: to 7 a.m.
- 1:12:34SPEAKER_01: or something.
- 1:12:35SPEAKER_01: It's like, yeah.
- 1:12:35SPEAKER_01: Yeah, it was that poor.
- 1:12:36SPEAKER_01: Wow, that's really well, that's a lot of work ethic for you.
- 1:12:39SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I just Catholic school paying for it.
- 1:12:41SPEAKER_02: It's really important to me.
- 1:12:43SPEAKER_02: No.
- 1:12:44SPEAKER_02: It was summer jobs.
- 1:12:45SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 1:12:46SPEAKER_02: Summer jobs for why don't ever choose the 4 45 to noon.
- 1:12:49SPEAKER_02: I was like, I'll go to the beach after.
- 1:12:51SPEAKER_02: No.
- 1:12:51SPEAKER_02: No.
- 1:12:52SPEAKER_02: You sleep until eight.
- 1:12:53SPEAKER_01: Sleep and then eat eight packets of oatmeal and drink off.
- 1:12:56SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 1:12:56SPEAKER_01: Go back to bed.
- 1:12:57SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 1:12:58SPEAKER_02: But I was generation smoothie.
- 1:12:59SPEAKER_02: Can we talk about this?
- 1:13:00SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I was.
- 1:13:01SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 1:13:01SPEAKER_02: Did we talk about this?
- 1:13:02SPEAKER_02: Probably.
- 1:13:03SPEAKER_02: I know.
- 1:13:03SPEAKER_02: It's like repeat combos.
- 1:13:05SPEAKER_02: Anyways, it was culotta, and you just added a big healthy scoop of plain yogurt to the culotta.
- 1:13:12SPEAKER_02: And that was smoothie.
- 1:13:13SPEAKER_02: They've discontinued that, haven't they?
- 1:13:14SPEAKER_02: Yeah, yeah.
- 1:13:15SPEAKER_02: Obviously.
- 1:13:16SPEAKER_02: They don't even call it a culata anymore, honey.
- 1:13:18SPEAKER_02: A refresher?
- 1:13:19SPEAKER_02: What do they call it?
- 1:13:20SPEAKER_02: No, the refreshers are real.
- 1:13:21SPEAKER_02: Those are uh current.
- 1:13:23SPEAKER_01: Corey King like loves an orange refresher.
- 1:13:26SPEAKER_01: And it's like I hate that.
- 1:13:27SPEAKER_02: Like an energy drink is called a refresher.
- 1:13:30SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I think it's called like Did Starbucks start that thing?
- 1:13:33SPEAKER_01: It might be called like a refresher's.
- 1:13:35SPEAKER_01: Am I wrong?
- 1:13:36SPEAKER_02: Like you're wrong.
- 1:13:37SPEAKER_02: Does Duncan and Starbucks both have a refresher?
- 1:13:39SPEAKER_02: They might.
- 1:13:40SPEAKER_02: And like, what's the legal like underbelly, undercarriage of that?
- 1:13:47SPEAKER_02: It's not the right word for that either.
- 1:13:50SPEAKER_02: What's the legal underbelly of that?
- 1:13:53SPEAKER_02: Let's check the on the legal undercarriage of uh Starbucks, Duncan, both using a refresher.
- 1:14:00SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 1:14:02SPEAKER_02: I'm in law.
- 1:14:03SPEAKER_02: And there's an undercarriage to be law.
- 1:14:06SPEAKER_02: Traffic law.
- 1:14:10SPEAKER_02: Um, refreshers suck.
- 1:14:11SPEAKER_01: But I've never had one.
- 1:14:13SPEAKER_01: Neither.
- 1:14:13SPEAKER_01: I don't want a caffeine to juice.
- 1:14:15SPEAKER_01: It's like that sounds crazy to me.
- 1:14:16SPEAKER_01: It's like, sorry.
- 1:14:17SPEAKER_01: Just drink coffee.
- 1:14:19SPEAKER_01: I got over my fear of coffee in college.
- 1:14:21SPEAKER_01: I didn't have a sip of coffee until the 4th of July after graduation.
- 1:14:26SPEAKER_02: Why did you have a brown tongue?
- 1:14:31SPEAKER_02: Just kidding.
- 1:14:32SPEAKER_02: That was after college.
- 1:14:34SPEAKER_02: Because you really got into the coffee.
- 1:14:36SPEAKER_02: Like it really you caught up.
- 1:14:38SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 1:14:39SPEAKER_01: I'm still and I and that's my whole psychology.
- 1:14:41SPEAKER_01: Where it's like, I'm like, oh, I can have four coffees because I didn't drink coffee in college.
- 1:14:45SPEAKER_01: And like that was 90 years ago.
- 1:14:47SPEAKER_01: I I I uh started coffee in college.
- 1:14:49SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 1:14:50SPEAKER_02: Even though I worked at Duncan.
- 1:14:51SPEAKER_02: Oh no, no, maybe it was maybe it was during college.
- 1:14:53SPEAKER_02: But um wow, the good old days of like a drop of skim milk and like a splenda.
- 1:15:00SPEAKER_02: I was so anno.
- 1:15:02SPEAKER_02: Bring it back.
- 1:15:03SPEAKER_02: Now you're like 90 pumps of cream and like oh yeah, I sat on the oh that was butter popcorn.
- 1:15:09SPEAKER_02: But caramel swirl.
- 1:15:13SPEAKER_02: Honey, this the line of swirls untouchable.
- 1:15:17SPEAKER_01: Swirl is an insider term because you don't you don't see swirl on the menu.
- 1:15:22SPEAKER_01: Yeah, it was old.
- 1:15:23SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 1:15:24SPEAKER_01: Go on.
- 1:15:24SPEAKER_01: Absolutely.
- 1:15:25SPEAKER_01: I think sweetened flavor is what they call it now.
- 1:15:27SPEAKER_02: Oh, forget it.
- 1:15:29SPEAKER_02: Save it.
- 1:15:31SPEAKER_02: Get yourself a crawler.
- 1:15:32SPEAKER_01: Branded.
- 1:15:33SPEAKER_01: How many crawlers do you have a year?
- 1:15:35SPEAKER_01: None, but I how many sticks do I have a year?
- 1:15:39SPEAKER_01: Glazed sticks?
- 1:15:40SPEAKER_01: That was what the other gay teacher, my theater teacher, Mr.
- 1:15:42SPEAKER_01: Clinton, would order.
- 1:15:44SPEAKER_01: He'd get his coffee order.
- 1:15:46SPEAKER_01: You are gay.
- 1:15:47SPEAKER_01: You're gay.
- 1:15:47SPEAKER_01: Sorry.
- 1:15:48SPEAKER_02: A glaze stick.
- 1:15:49SPEAKER_02: No, but just separate from like the innuendo or like any sort of fat.
- 1:15:52SPEAKER_01: That's a big fucking donut.
- 1:15:54SPEAKER_02: It's just like it's cake.
- 1:15:56SPEAKER_01: It's cake.
- 1:15:57SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 1:15:57SPEAKER_01: It's not dough.
- 1:15:59SPEAKER_01: It's fried cake and glaze.
- 1:16:01SPEAKER_01: It's nostalgic.
- 1:16:02SPEAKER_01: It's a m it's amazing.
- 1:16:03SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 1:16:04SPEAKER_01: But I want to say it's like 700 calories.
- 1:16:06SPEAKER_01: No, I think it's like 540 calories, which is like.
- 1:16:09SPEAKER_01: I'll take 20.
- 1:16:10SPEAKER_01: I don't need to know, but yeah.
- 1:16:12SPEAKER_01: They don't have it at every establishment.
- 1:16:14SPEAKER_02: A glaze stick, I know.
- 1:16:15SPEAKER_02: Um, I don't like apple desserts, but they do have a good apple fritter uh at the Select Dunkins, the upper tiers.
- 1:16:22SPEAKER_02: I recommend if you find one.
- 1:16:26SPEAKER_02: It was the it was my boot.
- 1:16:27SPEAKER_02: It was my boot.
- 1:16:28SPEAKER_02: I heard a little like it was so tiny.
- 1:16:32SPEAKER_02: I love the I want to bring back the tiny fart.
- 1:16:35SPEAKER_02: No, like especially from a pretty girl.
- 1:16:38SPEAKER_02: That's like not another teen movie vibes.
- 1:16:40SPEAKER_02: Like that tiny fart that is like wet.
- 1:16:44SPEAKER_01: That's not a fart.
- 1:16:46SPEAKER_01: That's a shard.
- 1:16:46SPEAKER_02: That's why it's like not another teen movie vibes.
- 1:16:49SPEAKER_02: Like a pretty girl, like I'm gonna bring it back.
- 1:16:55SPEAKER_01: I'm so excited for the next scary movie.
- 1:16:57SPEAKER_01: Cindy Campbell better be fucking there.
- 1:16:59SPEAKER_01: She is, and Regina Brenda Hall.
- 1:17:02SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 1:17:02SPEAKER_01: Brenda and and Regina.
- 1:17:04SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 1:17:04SPEAKER_01: Thank God.
- 1:17:05SPEAKER_01: My second drag name.
- 1:17:06SPEAKER_01: I'm so fucking scared though of how bad it's gonna be.
- 1:17:11SPEAKER_02: Because like five was really bad.
- 1:17:13SPEAKER_03: Oof.
- 1:17:13SPEAKER_02: It's I know, it's kind of cringe, but the Wayne's brothers are doing it.
- 1:17:17SPEAKER_02: I have hope.
- 1:17:17SPEAKER_02: I have hope.
- 1:17:18SPEAKER_02: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 1:17:18SPEAKER_02: They did white chicks, and they want to do another white chicks too.
- 1:17:21SPEAKER_02: And it's like the time is now.
- 1:17:23SPEAKER_02: It actually is.
- 1:17:24SPEAKER_02: It is.
- 1:17:24SPEAKER_02: It's a pendulum, it's all coming back.
- 1:17:26SPEAKER_02: Inappropriate shit.
- 1:17:27SPEAKER_02: They could.
- 1:17:27SPEAKER_02: It's back.
- 1:17:28SPEAKER_02: It's back.
- 1:17:28SPEAKER_02: It's back.
- 1:17:28SPEAKER_02: It's back.
- 1:17:29SPEAKER_02: Um, what's my next punt?
- 1:17:30SPEAKER_02: Fragrance dupes.
- 1:17:35SPEAKER_01: I'm gonna say punt.
- 1:17:36SPEAKER_01: I think like the idea of dupes, like the brands that dupe things and say, like, oh, this is Tom Ford or the whatever, like they're capitalizing on a well-known brand and your urge to spend less money.
- 1:17:51SPEAKER_01: So they're gonna give they they can get away with giving you an inferior product without really actually making it a dupe.
- 1:17:57SPEAKER_01: It's just close enough.
- 1:17:58SPEAKER_02: But I think like people swear by them and say that they're spot on, and I don't want to be pretentious.
- 1:18:04SPEAKER_02: I don't want to be a bougie bitch.
- 1:18:05SPEAKER_02: We all know I'm I am those things.
- 1:18:07SPEAKER_02: I want to support that, but I'm just like, I don't know.
- 1:18:11SPEAKER_02: For me, it's like buying the luxury.
- 1:18:12SPEAKER_02: Like, I want to know that I'm owning the luxurious item that I saved up for, and I smell this way because it's like the real deal.
- 1:18:20SPEAKER_02: That's one that's pretentious.
- 1:18:22SPEAKER_01: No, no, no, no.
- 1:18:22SPEAKER_01: It's not pretentious, it's just it's just indulgent.
- 1:18:25SPEAKER_01: That that's just you paying for the experience that you want.
- 1:18:29SPEAKER_01: I don't think there's anything wrong with that.
- 1:18:30SPEAKER_01: Um, but I think like so specifically spot on dupes.
- 1:18:35SPEAKER_01: I don't think that exists.
- 1:18:36SPEAKER_01: I honestly don't think that exists.
- 1:18:38SPEAKER_01: Maybe you're right.
- 1:18:38SPEAKER_01: Because like fragrance is chemistry.
- 1:18:40SPEAKER_01: It's like they're not in the lab fucking mixing the oils and shit and at the and the molecules to the level that like you know.
- 1:18:46SPEAKER_02: But if you're a real chemist like myself, you know any product can be broken down into the product.
- 1:18:51SPEAKER_02: It can.
- 1:18:52SPEAKER_02: That's why I need to start a makeup line because I do I think I curate, and you just gotta curate all the best products.
- 1:18:57SPEAKER_02: Yeah, break it all down, dupe them, replicate them.
- 1:19:01SPEAKER_01: Well, the the the proprietary thing is the is like the mix.
- 1:19:06SPEAKER_01: I'm pro-dupe.
- 1:19:07SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 1:19:08SPEAKER_01: If it means money in my pocket, it turns out you are.
- 1:19:10SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 1:19:11SPEAKER_02: No, it's punt.
- 1:19:11SPEAKER_02: It's it's punt for me.
- 1:19:12SPEAKER_01: They're not uh I don't think they're punt for me.
- 1:19:14SPEAKER_01: I I just because I don't believe you can ever get a full dupeana, a complete dupe.
- 1:19:20SPEAKER_01: I just don't think that you're gonna get that.
- 1:19:22SPEAKER_02: I support it for people that want the dupe and like buy into that.
- 1:19:25SPEAKER_02: I think it's great if you feel amazing and smell amazing and are spending way less money than an idiot like myself.
- 1:19:32SPEAKER_02: I'm not saying it's cool to be me, but I just personally it's a mental, it's a state of mind.
- 1:19:37SPEAKER_01: I think I think I want the real expensive fragrances are they're often more complex, and I think that's part of what is enjoyable about fragrance in general.
- 1:19:45SPEAKER_01: Like I think that like when you spray your body spray in the room, I was telling you, like, I'm like, wow, that fucking burnt caramel pussy smells amazing, but then it then it immediately becomes plastic, becomes alcohol.
- 1:19:57SPEAKER_02: Two people made me bougie about scents.
- 1:19:59SPEAKER_02: Um, and that's Dan Singhari and Sarah Nickdell.
- 1:20:02SPEAKER_02: The two of them separately sort of really like the splurge on the scents.
- 1:20:05SPEAKER_02: And that's one thing you you do want to spend your money on scents, like a good scent, like your Joe Malone, your diptyque, your Aesop.
- 1:20:13SPEAKER_02: It's like my family, they go they get horny for a Yankee candle, and it's like I think I'm pretty sensitive to smell in general.
- 1:20:21SPEAKER_01: I think like I have a good nose and I get like kind of autistically like perturbed by things if I smell them and like they're bothering me.
- 1:20:29SPEAKER_02: But I think I hooked up with the 21-year-old once uh and it was so fragrant and potent, and I yeah, I I keep it natural, please in the bedroom at least.
- 1:20:40SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 1:20:40SPEAKER_02: For gay sex, for street sex, I think spray it, bring out the bond, bring out the bond, bring out the bond.
- 1:20:46SPEAKER_02: Bring out the gold bond, yeah.
- 1:20:48SPEAKER_02: Uh no, I think it there was like a bond fragrance.
- 1:20:51SPEAKER_01: Like James Bond?
- 1:20:53SPEAKER_02: No.
- 1:20:54SPEAKER_02: The bottle was a star, it was really expensive.
- 1:20:58SPEAKER_02: I'm so pretentious.
- 1:20:59SPEAKER_02: Do you ever see people on I'm pretentious, but at least I know it.
- 1:21:01SPEAKER_01: Do you ever see people on Do you ever see people on the apps that are like come sweaty but not fragranced?
- 1:21:09SPEAKER_01: Or it's like natural sense fine.
- 1:21:11SPEAKER_01: Fragrances, no.
- 1:21:12SPEAKER_01: And it's like, well.
- 1:21:13SPEAKER_01: Some people are sensitive though.
- 1:21:14SPEAKER_01: I mean, I I literally am, but it's like to advertise saying like don't wear a scent, I don't know.
- 1:21:21SPEAKER_01: I feel like you kind of gotta like gotta roll with the punches.
- 1:21:23SPEAKER_01: Like you can be like Right.
- 1:21:24SPEAKER_02: I would never I would get to know someone and then be like, hey, I would like to lay off it.
- 1:21:29SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I want to know what your vibe is without uh the dupe.
- 1:21:33SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 1:21:34SPEAKER_01: I guess I would say then because I don't think dupes really exist, I think then fundamentally they're they're punt.
- 1:21:44SPEAKER_01: Because like if somebody's like, I'm buying a dupe, it's my Tom Ford dupe, it's like it's not a dupe.
- 1:21:48SPEAKER_01: It's not actually, it is actually isn't.
- 1:21:49SPEAKER_01: You're not gonna get an exact replica of the we don't know.
- 1:21:54SPEAKER_02: We we should do like the Diet Coke test.
- 1:21:56SPEAKER_01: I would be able to tell.
- 1:21:57SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 1:21:58SPEAKER_02: Let's get a specialist in here.
- 1:21:59SPEAKER_01: Well, audience Delta work of Queen was girl was the person who first got me into thinking about like fragrances.
- 1:22:08SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 1:22:09SPEAKER_01: Like I She's your Dan and your Sarah.
- 1:22:11SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I I literally would say, like during the pandemic, like her fragrance videos, the way she would talk about stuff, just so like informed but casual.
- 1:22:20SPEAKER_01: It's so like philosophical at the end of the day.
- 1:22:23SPEAKER_02: I should fucking dupe it up because obviously I live above my means, which is what not cool.
- 1:22:28SPEAKER_02: But um that's who I am.
- 1:22:30SPEAKER_02: Uh I finance my Botox.
- 1:22:32SPEAKER_02: You gotta find yeah, you gotta finance everything you can.
- 1:22:34SPEAKER_02: It's cooler than the alternative.
- 1:22:35SPEAKER_02: Finance everything you can, write it all off, and then not break even so they don't, you know, get a little sus.
- 1:22:42SPEAKER_02: Gotta break even.
- 1:22:43SPEAKER_02: You gotta break even with the write-offs.
- 1:22:44SPEAKER_02: Uh, but do write-off everything, including the air you breathe.
- 1:22:47SPEAKER_02: Also, that's a write-off.
- 1:22:49SPEAKER_02: Uh, that's a write-off.
- 1:22:50SPEAKER_02: Uh, this is a write-off.
- 1:22:52SPEAKER_02: The Australian diary.
- 1:22:54SPEAKER_01: A write-off.
- 1:22:55SPEAKER_02: It's been written off.
- 1:22:56SPEAKER_02: But my current, I love a cocktail, like a fragrant cocktail.
- 1:22:59SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 1:22:59SPEAKER_02: When you layer.
- 1:23:00SPEAKER_02: But mine, accidentally, I don't try to like, I don't seek out expensive things.
- 1:23:05SPEAKER_02: I do appreciate a high low.
- 1:23:06SPEAKER_02: Like, I like things that are fucking cheap, but I just happen to have very excessive taste.
- 1:23:10SPEAKER_02: I accidentally came up with an amazing combo.
- 1:23:13SPEAKER_02: It's vanilla sex, it's vanilla fatale.
- 1:23:16SPEAKER_02: Those are two Tom Fords, and it's ASOP narcissist.
- 1:23:19SPEAKER_02: It's not called narcissist, but that's what it's like.
- 1:23:21SPEAKER_02: The description is like uh it's a narcissist.
- 1:23:24SPEAKER_02: It's for narcissism.
- 1:23:28SPEAKER_02: So that is a fucking almost$900 cocktail of cologne.
- 1:23:35SPEAKER_02: I mean, that's insane.
- 1:23:36SPEAKER_01: I mean, like you But I'm I want to do it.
- 1:23:38SPEAKER_01: You are addicted to high-end uh things in a way that like is at a certain point it be it's pretending something is psychological going on there.
- 1:23:46SPEAKER_02: No, it's not.
- 1:23:47SPEAKER_02: Didn't it smell amazing?
- 1:23:49SPEAKER_02: It did, but like at Can I afford that?
- 1:23:52SPEAKER_02: No.
- 1:23:52SPEAKER_01: No.
- 1:23:53SPEAKER_01: So it's like But at a certain point, it's like not every choice you make can be the$9,000 choice.
- 1:23:59SPEAKER_02: You know, no, I don't want it to be.
- 1:24:02SPEAKER_01: That's why I'm saying it's psychological.
- 1:24:04SPEAKER_01: Something, something, you're you're you're like, are you ashamed of your background?
- 1:24:09SPEAKER_01: Like, are you trying to make up for your humble beginnings?
- 1:24:12SPEAKER_01: Yeah, by like spending more money now, or or or no, blindfold me, and I I do veer to the expensive.
- 1:24:20SPEAKER_02: I'm the first one who's saying I'm pretentious.
- 1:24:22SPEAKER_02: You're just it's pretentious.
- 1:24:23SPEAKER_01: I'm not pretentious.
- 1:24:25SPEAKER_01: I don't think you're pretentious, I think you're misguided.
- 1:24:27SPEAKER_01: And I have good taste, and you do have good taste.
- 1:24:30SPEAKER_01: I think you are you're equally like lazy and not lazy.
- 1:24:35SPEAKER_01: Like you will spend a year making that flower and you'll never post a one fucking thing about it.
- 1:24:42SPEAKER_01: Yeah, you know, so that's like your mental illness to to figure out.
- 1:24:47SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 1:24:47SPEAKER_00: Well, on that note, that's the end of the episode.
- 1:24:54SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 1:24:55SPEAKER_02: I couldn't help but wonder.
- 1:24:56SPEAKER_02: What in the fuck are we done, girl?
- 1:24:58SPEAKER_01: I guess we had an overtime.
- 1:25:01SPEAKER_01: It's a weird one.
- 1:25:01SPEAKER_01: I think this will cut together.
- 1:25:03SPEAKER_01: Um it's fun to be back.
- 1:25:04SPEAKER_02: I'm so happy.
- 1:25:05SPEAKER_02: We got some good looks, some good drags, some good guests signed up.
- 1:25:09SPEAKER_02: Well, we've been planning season two like for a long time.
- 1:25:13SPEAKER_02: Someone's husband got hit by a car.
- 1:25:15SPEAKER_01: Well, I think what you were saying for a long time was that my husband got hit by a car and you got busy was the reason why the season was delayed.
- 1:25:22SPEAKER_01: Literally.
- 1:25:23SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 1:25:23SPEAKER_02: I never work.
- 1:25:25SPEAKER_02: Like, I'm never like whatever.
- 1:25:26SPEAKER_02: For once, I was just like busy.
- 1:25:28SPEAKER_02: But it's it's good to like be able to contribute the bills.
- 1:25:31SPEAKER_01: I'm I'm I've been reaping the benefits of this money that's coming in.
- 1:25:34SPEAKER_02: Yeah, the the benefits are that you don't need to pay as much for your dragon.
- 1:25:39SPEAKER_02: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 1:25:41SPEAKER_02: I know.
- 1:25:42SPEAKER_02: I I literally like that was my pull string line of like, I was like, things have been pushed back a bit.
- 1:25:46SPEAKER_02: Like, my husband got hit by a car and I got busy.
- 1:25:49SPEAKER_02: You're right.
- 1:25:50SPEAKER_02: You're right.
- 1:25:50SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 1:25:50SPEAKER_02: I did.
- 1:25:51SPEAKER_02: Where's the lie?
- 1:25:53SPEAKER_02: It's not a lie.
- 1:25:54SPEAKER_02: It's just a crazy thing to say.
- 1:25:56SPEAKER_02: Crazy thing to say.
- 1:25:57SPEAKER_02: We also took a little breaky poop because I was auditioning for drag race.
- 1:26:00SPEAKER_02: I didn't get on.
- 1:26:01SPEAKER_02: Isn't that really annoying?
- 1:26:02SPEAKER_02: Very annoying.
- 1:26:03SPEAKER_01: We'll talk about it maybe we'll have a Patreon episode talking about that specifically.
- 1:26:07SPEAKER_01: I would love that.
- 1:26:07SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 1:26:08SPEAKER_01: Um, great tape.
- 1:26:09SPEAKER_01: Honestly, like we've done this.
- 1:26:11SPEAKER_01: Can we post that on YouTube?
- 1:26:12SPEAKER_01: We could.
- 1:26:12SPEAKER_01: People do that.
- 1:26:13SPEAKER_01: I I don't I don't I don't know like what the benefit is, but like maybe like people like yeah, there's this that they're missing out on.
- 1:26:20SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 1:26:21SPEAKER_02: It's fucking annoying.
- 1:26:22SPEAKER_02: It's really hard because like you want to keep trying, but then it's also like, what's the fucking point?
- 1:26:27SPEAKER_02: So TBTE if I will be doing it again because it just feels a bit endless.
- 1:26:32SPEAKER_02: I was at a point where I'm like, they'd be so lucky to have me.
- 1:26:35SPEAKER_02: And I'm still at that point, I'm like, fuck off.
- 1:26:38SPEAKER_02: I'm I'm a little fuck off.
- 1:26:40SPEAKER_02: Because like everyone who knows me is like, you'd be so good.
- 1:26:44SPEAKER_02: Even people within that world are like, you'd be a straight shoot to the straight shot to the top four.
- 1:26:50SPEAKER_02: And I'm like, everyone always tells me these things, but I can't get cast.
- 1:26:53SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 1:26:54SPEAKER_02: And I'm like, I don't want to do things for drag race.
- 1:26:56SPEAKER_02: I want to just do things for me and do drag for me.
- 1:26:59SPEAKER_02: This podcast is a great outlet for my drag.
- 1:27:02SPEAKER_02: And I I don't know.
- 1:27:04SPEAKER_02: So TBD.
- 1:27:05SPEAKER_02: We'll see what happens next.
- 1:27:07SPEAKER_02: Yeah, we'll see where we're at when they cast again.
- 1:27:09SPEAKER_02: But my thing is like, what if we do it and it's dust?
- 1:27:13SPEAKER_02: I don't hear anything.
- 1:27:14SPEAKER_02: When do you stop?
- 1:27:15SPEAKER_01: Like, you know what I mean?
- 1:27:16SPEAKER_01: Well, they didn't go for that.
- 1:27:18SPEAKER_01: How do you make it stronger?
- 1:27:19SPEAKER_01: And that's exciting to me to like to think about like my deranged uh elevation private slide.
- 1:27:28SPEAKER_02: He should be locked up.
- 1:27:28SPEAKER_02: I accidentally saw like his slides of like elevating my looks.
- 1:27:32SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 1:27:32SPEAKER_01: Project elevation.
- 1:27:34SPEAKER_01: Literally, yeah.
- 1:27:35SPEAKER_01: Uh but it's like that's the thing.
- 1:27:37SPEAKER_01: If I do it again, I gotta fire you.
- 1:27:38SPEAKER_01: You should.
- 1:27:39SPEAKER_01: Like, I I mean I'm down for that.
- 1:27:41SPEAKER_01: Like, well, I'm like, what what's not what's not clicking, babes, you know?
- 1:27:45SPEAKER_01: I know, it's so annoying, but we'll see.
- 1:27:47SPEAKER_02: We'll see where we're at when they cast again.
- 1:27:49SPEAKER_02: But again, I I just don't want to like l like live my life around drag race.
- 1:27:55SPEAKER_02: And you you shouldn't and you don't.
- 1:27:57SPEAKER_02: I think that right.
- 1:27:59SPEAKER_02: I think that is well, that was really like exciting about season one because like it felt like it was separate from like that.
- 1:28:05SPEAKER_02: Like I have a problem like so much of the queens now, and like that's why the seasons kind of suck, because it's all everyone's a product of like that show.
- 1:28:12SPEAKER_02: Everyone grew up like and became a drag queen because of that show.
- 1:28:16SPEAKER_02: So I don't know, it's nice to do something that's unrelated and our own, and we'll just have to see.
- 1:28:22SPEAKER_02: Yeah, but we um You're really blending into the couch.
- 1:28:25SPEAKER_01: I'm I'm disappearing.
- 1:28:26SPEAKER_01: Yeah, what a swatch.
- 1:28:27SPEAKER_01: Um it delayed season two because we took time out to to make the tape.
- 1:28:31SPEAKER_01: But it but that literally was in September?
- 1:28:36SPEAKER_01: October.
- 1:28:36SPEAKER_01: Yeah, October, November.
- 1:28:37SPEAKER_01: Yeah, it was like months and months and months ago.
- 1:28:40SPEAKER_01: We're so we just didn't expect tragedy to uh delay us as uh much as as it did, but that's life, you know?
- 1:28:50SPEAKER_02: So we're gonna And it was a tragedy that I got busy because no one wants to see me working.
- 1:28:55SPEAKER_02: That's disgusting.
- 1:28:56SPEAKER_02: You know what I mean?
- 1:28:57SPEAKER_02: That that is a tragedy.
- 1:28:58SPEAKER_02: Yeah, and you had your tragedy as well.
- 1:29:00SPEAKER_02: Right.
- 1:29:00SPEAKER_02: So yeah, yeah.
- 1:29:01SPEAKER_02: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 1:29:02SPEAKER_01: Uh look literally.
- 1:29:03SPEAKER_01: We don't know what this season was gonna look like.
- 1:29:05SPEAKER_01: It's gonna be a little bit different than season one.
- 1:29:07SPEAKER_01: It's uh a little glowed up.
- 1:29:10unknown: Yeah.
- 1:29:11SPEAKER_01: Maybe a little slower, maybe every other week, maybe uh a few episodes a month, and then it's a month off.
- 1:29:17SPEAKER_01: We don't we don't know.
- 1:29:17SPEAKER_02: We just literally Yeah, the C next Tuesday doesn't mean necessarily next Tuesday.
- 1:29:24SPEAKER_02: Maybe uh next Tuesday could, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 1:29:26SPEAKER_02: It could be any Tuesday coming off.
- 1:29:27SPEAKER_01: See you a Tuesday.
- 1:29:28SPEAKER_02: Any Tuesday in the future is a next Tuesday.
- 1:29:30SPEAKER_01: T to me.
- 1:29:31SPEAKER_01: T.
- 1:29:31SPEAKER_01: And on that note.
- 1:29:32SPEAKER_01: On that note, let's end it.
- 1:29:34SPEAKER_01: I need to untalk.
- 1:29:35SPEAKER_01: Yeah, and I didn't say this earlier.
- 1:29:36SPEAKER_01: I because I didn't write in my notes on the on the board, but um, like and subscribe, you know?
- 1:29:40SPEAKER_01: Uh where are my cue cards?
- 1:29:42SPEAKER_02: He had a fucking teleprompter today.
- 1:29:44SPEAKER_02: It's your teleprompter too.
- 1:29:46SPEAKER_02: You need to write that in backwards so it hits the mirror, and then I can read it forward.
- 1:29:50SPEAKER_01: I literally can do it.
- 1:29:52SPEAKER_01: Like and subscribe, leave a review, sign up for Patreon.
- 1:29:56SPEAKER_01: And pay Gina's bills.
- 1:29:57SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 1:29:58SPEAKER_01: Gina is in debt and she needs help.
- 1:30:00SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 1:30:01SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 1:30:02SPEAKER_01: Um, thank you for tuning in.
- 1:30:04SPEAKER_01: Thank you so much.
