Jeffery Lee Executed After 20-Year Wait | Dothan News
Alabama executed Jeffery Lee yesterday, September 17th, for the 1998 double murder of Jimmy Ellis and Elaine Thompson during a pawn shop robbery — a case that spanned two decades and ended with a 14-minute lethal injection at Holman Correctional. Surveillance footage and eyewitnesses sealed his guilt; he confessed after fleeing to Georgia. Convicted in 2000 and sentenced to death, Lee’s appeals were all denied. Officials say while justice can’t undo loss, this final act closes a painful chapter for victims’ families and the community. Listen in comfort:Get a discount on a Soli Pillow…
