- 0:08Speaker 1: Scandal and vice, or sugar and spice, it's naughty but
- 0:13Speaker 1: naughty with Rob. Feminist icon Gloria Steinem has died at 92,
- 0:36Speaker 1: so she was a pioneer feminist writer-activist who transformed the
- 0:40Speaker 1: modern women's movement. She was at home Wednesday night surrounded
- 0:44Speaker 1: by loved ones. Her family said that she continued fighting
- 0:48Speaker 1: for equality until the end, praising her extraordinary ability to listen,
- 0:53Speaker 1: and this is the key, and make other people feel
- 0:56Speaker 1: seen and heard. I was lucky enough to meet her
- 0:58Speaker 1: a few times. My goodness, was she impressive. She had
- 1:01Speaker 1: that princess diana quality of just looking you in the
- 1:04Speaker 1: eye and making you feel as if she was really
- 1:07Speaker 1: listening i don't know if she was or wasn't it
- 1:09Speaker 1: doesn't matter but she made made every person feel seen
- 1:14Speaker 1: rest in peace and we've also got another piece of
- 1:17Speaker 1: breaking news somebody and it wasn't me was with jennifer
- 1:20Speaker 1: aniston last night tell me everything you little devil where
- 1:24Speaker 1: were you.
- 1:26Speaker 2: So last night I attended, I think, what was Jennifer
- 1:29Speaker 2: Aniston and Jim Curtis's first appearance together.
- 1:32Speaker 1: It was?
- 1:33Speaker 2: And it was in celebration of his new book. And
- 1:36Speaker 2: she was there to interview him at the 92Y in
- 1:39Speaker 2: New York City. It's a great venue for authors and
- 1:42Speaker 2: for other people who are promoting projects. And so as
- 1:45Speaker 2: soon as I saw this advertised, I knew I was
- 1:47Speaker 2: going to go because I had to report to all
- 1:49Speaker 2: the Nazis.
- 1:49Speaker 1: What was going on.
- 1:51Speaker 2: And it did not disappoint. I will say she came out.
- 1:53Speaker 2: She looked incredible. And he, you know, he was very
- 1:57Speaker 2: handsome too. And it was really interesting to see their
- 1:59Speaker 2: dynamic together.
- 2:00Speaker 1: Tell me about it. What did it feel like? Who
- 2:03Speaker 1: was the boss? Who did most of the talking? Did
- 2:05Speaker 1: they giggle? Are they funny? Tell me all the details.
- 2:08Speaker 2: So Jennifer is charming.
- 2:09Speaker 1: She's sweet.
- 2:10Speaker 2: She's very playful. And I noticed he was a bit
- 2:13Speaker 2: more reserved. He was a little awkward at points. Like
- 2:15Speaker 2: she really was kind of pushing and carrying it. And
- 2:18Speaker 2: he was kind of shy. At one point he got
- 2:21Speaker 2: very emotional and almost cried. Speaking about his... You know,
- 2:24Speaker 2: we made a change in his life to become this guru.
- 2:26Speaker 1: He had some.
- 2:27Speaker 2: Challenges and she almost cried too. But it was funny,
- 2:31Speaker 2: you know, once she left the stage, because it was
- 2:34Speaker 2: about halfway through she left, suddenly his charisma came out
- 2:37Speaker 2: and he was more, I think, comfortable in his own skin.
- 2:41Speaker 1: Why did she, so she introduced him and spoke, what,
- 2:44Speaker 1: for like 30 minutes and then she, that's a mistake.
- 2:46Speaker 1: Why would you have the star leave? I'd say Jim
- 2:48Speaker 1: should leave and Jen should stay. We'll sell more books.
- 2:51Speaker 1: So it's funny.
- 2:51Speaker 2: So halfway through, she interviewed him and then he was
- 2:54Speaker 2: doing this guided meditation. But as soon as she left,
- 2:57Speaker 2: he asked the crowd, he's like, who here was only
- 3:01Speaker 2: here to see Jennifer Aniston? And about 25 people raised
- 3:04Speaker 2: their hand. I wanted to die because I was one
- 3:06Speaker 2: of them, but I didn't want to say it. he
- 3:08Speaker 2: laughed and he said, I appreciate your honesty.
- 3:10Speaker 1: So he's in on it. He's in on it. Although
- 3:13Speaker 1: I don't think the crowd has been honest. I think
- 3:15Speaker 1: it's more like 2000 were there for Jen. I mean,
- 3:17Speaker 1: we were there for Jen. It's something that I find
- 3:20Speaker 1: so interesting because part of me is like, you shouldn't monitor,
- 3:23Speaker 1: monetize your relationship. I saw that when I worked with
- 3:26Speaker 1: JLo and Ben Affleck, I saw it with Jessica Simpson
- 3:28Speaker 1: and Nick. And once the relationship becomes a product, I
- 3:31Speaker 1: think it's not really a smart move. However, If you've
- 3:35Speaker 1: got access to arguably one of the most really, really famous, important,
- 3:40Speaker 1: really beloved people in the world, and you've got a
- 3:42Speaker 1: book to sell, wink, wink, I do, Jen, if you're listening,
- 3:45Speaker 1: I would love to do a night at the 92nd
- 3:48Speaker 1: Street Y with you. Wouldn't you use that resource? Would you, Mark?
- 3:53Speaker 1: Like if you had a superstar boyfriend, a superstar friend,
- 3:57Speaker 1: and you were selling a product, you had a book out,
- 4:00Speaker 1: you would ask them to help, no?
- 4:02Speaker 2: No.
- 4:02Speaker 1: I mean, I think so.
- 4:03Speaker 2: And you could tell Jen hangs on his every word.
- 4:06Speaker 2: Like she was looking at him, these big eyes, just
- 4:09Speaker 2: whenever he would speak. And when he spoke with authority,
- 4:12Speaker 2: she just looked at him like, oh, he has all
- 4:14Speaker 2: the answers.
- 4:15Speaker 1: Oh, I'm told that she's absolutely besotted. And it's a
- 4:19Speaker 1: mistake because it's easy to think he's using her because
- 4:23Speaker 1: she's so rich and famous. No, she's more into him
- 4:26Speaker 1: than he's into her. And she volunteered for this. Friends
- 4:30Speaker 1: of his told me. He didn't ask her to do this.
- 4:33Speaker 1: She said, he said, I'm going to do some book events.
- 4:35Speaker 1: And she said, I'd love to host one. And he
- 4:37Speaker 1: was like, oh, OK, that would be great. Could he
- 4:41Speaker 1: hold his own after she left the stage when he
- 4:43Speaker 1: did his meditation, when he did, which does sound awfully
- 4:47Speaker 1: sort of awkward in New York City, to get people
- 4:49Speaker 1: to just shut up and meditate in an auditorium. It
- 4:52Speaker 1: sounds tricky. Did he hold his own or was it
- 4:54Speaker 1: a bit disappointing?
- 4:55Speaker 2: Well, I think first when he when Jennifer left, a
- 4:58Speaker 2: handful of people also walked out, which is very awkward
- 5:02Speaker 2: for him.
- 5:02Speaker 1: And it's not nice.
- 5:03Speaker 2: I think it's rude. But I noticed, yes, he could
- 5:06Speaker 2: hold his own. He was doing this guided meditation. But truthfully,
- 5:09Speaker 2: he's not any different from any of the other gurus
- 5:12Speaker 2: we've had come and go over the years. Like there's
- 5:14Speaker 2: nothing that stands out that makes him. feel different. It's
- 5:16Speaker 2: like more of the aura attached to the relationship.
- 5:19Speaker 1: It's the relationship, yeah. It's interesting because I see the
- 5:22Speaker 1: Mel Robbins who I used to know really well like
- 5:24Speaker 1: 20 years ago. I see the Jay Shetty's, is that
- 5:27Speaker 1: his name? Very, very, very sixes. And in the old
- 5:30Speaker 1: school it was like Dr. Phil and a yarn layer.
- 5:32Speaker 1: I've worked with these people. I was a yarnless publicist
- 5:35Speaker 1: and I don't know if I totally believe it. It
- 5:39Speaker 1: feels a little bit smoke and mirrors to me. Anything
- 5:42Speaker 1: that makes people have a better life, anything that makes
- 5:45Speaker 1: you happier, I'm all for that and I'm not going
- 5:47Speaker 1: to rain on anybody's parade. But me personally, I'm like,
- 5:51Speaker 1: is he full of you know what? Or is this real?
- 5:54Speaker 1: I've got suspicions. I've got doubt.
- 5:57Speaker 2: I mean, they gave us a copy of the book
- 5:59Speaker 2: and I'm contemplating putting it on eBay later.
- 6:03Speaker 1: You have to say that this book was in the
- 6:04Speaker 1: same room as Jen. You'll get more money. Exactly. Let's
- 6:07Speaker 1: jump into our show. What time is it, my friends?
- 6:10Speaker 1: It is tea time. Big story at the top of
- 6:12Speaker 1: the show. Meghan Markle just can't help herself. And this
- 6:14Speaker 1: is why she makes me chuckle. So Meghan is celebrating
- 6:17Speaker 1: a new chapter. She's moved back to Britain. This is
- 6:19Speaker 1: a big deal. Her husband, her children are back in
- 6:23Speaker 1: Britain for an extended period. Told it's about six months
- 6:26Speaker 1: if it doesn't go well. If it does go well,
- 6:28Speaker 1: they might be there forever. And so Meghan wants to
- 6:31Speaker 1: celebrate that. Good for her. She's in the Cotswolds. Her
- 6:33Speaker 1: kids are in a fancy school, so guess how she
- 6:36Speaker 1: decided to celebrate. Yes, she didn't call up her friends.
- 6:39Speaker 1: She didn't have Ellen over. Ellen just lives down the street.
- 6:41Speaker 1: She's like, come over and I'll bake a cake. She
- 6:44Speaker 1: didn't go to the local pub like you and me, Mark,
- 6:46Speaker 1: would go to Bottineau's. No, she decided to sell her
- 6:49Speaker 1: new sparkling wine from her collection as ever. So the
- 6:55Speaker 1: wine is now for sale. She put it on sale
- 6:58Speaker 1: on Thursday and she said the following thing. A new
- 7:03Speaker 1: chapter to celebrate.
- 7:05Speaker 2: Lovely.
- 7:05Speaker 1: Except when you're trying to sell me something, it makes
- 7:09Speaker 1: all the difference. If you and me were out celebrating, Mark,
- 7:12Speaker 1: and we posted a glass, a photograph of our champagne glasses,
- 7:15Speaker 1: our wine glasses, that's great. But I'm not trying to
- 7:18Speaker 1: sell you the Rob Shooter, the Mark Lupo collection. And
- 7:22Speaker 1: so I just, everything she does, I know what she thinks.
- 7:26Speaker 1: She thinks she's been really smart. She thinks she's Martha Stewart.
- 7:29Speaker 1: She thinks she's Gwyneth. This is so clever. I don't
- 7:32Speaker 1: know if it is. What do you think?
- 7:34Speaker 2: I mean, listen, the irony is not lost on me
- 7:36Speaker 2: that we're asked to celebrate this moment when just a
- 7:38Speaker 2: few years ago, they were telling us how they escaped
- 7:41Speaker 2: in the middle of the night on Tyler Perry's jet,
- 7:44Speaker 2: fleeing this horrible place. Only to return now in their
- 7:48Speaker 2: house hunting. It's incredible. I think what it really comes
- 7:52Speaker 2: down to is, and we all know these kind of
- 7:54Speaker 2: people in our lives, she thinks she knows best and
- 7:57Speaker 2: no one can tell her otherwise. And I'm sure there
- 7:59Speaker 2: was someone her life that said, Megan, maybe not, let's
- 8:02Speaker 2: not monetize this moment, but you can tell her, no,
- 8:05Speaker 2: she wants to do it. She thinks she knows best.
- 8:07Speaker 2: And it's quite tacky in my opinion.
- 8:09Speaker 1: Yeah. I think I'm with you on this one for that.
- 8:11Speaker 1: It's so interesting because we know these people. We all
- 8:13Speaker 1: know a person like this, don't we? Who has been
- 8:16Speaker 1: successful in one aspect of their life. And they think
- 8:18Speaker 1: they are successful now in every aspect. Bethany Frankel does this.
- 8:21Speaker 1: She was very successful with her skinny girl Margarita, but
- 8:24Speaker 1: that's it. Nothing else she's really done has been that successful.
- 8:29Speaker 1: I used to work for Mark Cuban. Mark Cuban made
- 8:31Speaker 1: billions on a very, very smart idea, and then he
- 8:35Speaker 1: bought a TV network, and he didn't really know a
- 8:36Speaker 1: lot about TV, but we all had to listen because
- 8:39Speaker 1: he had the most money. Meghan married a prince. She
- 8:42Speaker 1: got it. That was her achievement, and now she thinks
- 8:46Speaker 1: that she can do anything. Gosh, they've got to hire people.
- 8:49Speaker 1: I have a story today on my Substack Break Inc.
- 8:52Speaker 1: this morning, that they're actually having trouble hiring good people.
- 8:55Speaker 1: Their reputation is so damaged. We know in America, they
- 8:58Speaker 1: didn't hold onto staff very long at all. You know,
- 9:01Speaker 1: I get it. That's a really good signal to me.
- 9:03Speaker 1: When I meet people that I work with, I look
- 9:06Speaker 1: at the staff around them, I look at the team,
- 9:08Speaker 1: and you really tell, if you've been there several years,
- 9:11Speaker 1: if there's not a lot of turnover, I think that's
- 9:13Speaker 1: a really good sign. I'm really thrilled. We can say
- 9:17Speaker 1: that with the Naughty But Nice show. We have the
- 9:18Speaker 1: same co-hosts today as we did when we started five
- 9:22Speaker 1: years ago. Megan, not so much, not so much. Which
- 9:26Speaker 1: brings us to our poll question of the day. Megan
- 9:29Speaker 1: is celebrating with a new reserve brute sparkling wine. Sounds delicious,
- 9:33Speaker 1: doesn't it? And she is calling this a new chapter
- 9:36Speaker 1: to celebrate wine. She's going to sell you some sparkling
- 9:39Speaker 1: wine on her return to Britain. Is this smart or
- 9:44Speaker 1: is this tacky timing? What do you think? I get
- 9:48Speaker 1: that she doesn't want to waste an opportunity. You seize
- 9:50Speaker 1: the moment, don't you? But you've also got to be
- 9:53Speaker 1: smart about it. What do you think? Is it smart
- 9:56Speaker 1: or is it tacky? Go vote on our X page,
- 9:58Speaker 1: our Twitter page. at Naughty Nice Rob. Our Facebook page
- 10:03Speaker 1: is Naughty Gossip. And be sure... to check back tomorrow
- 10:06Speaker 1: to hear your results. Hey, Loopy Lou, what are you
- 10:10Speaker 1: working on?
- 10:11Speaker 2: Let's pop some bubbly for Lionel Richie. He's back home
- 10:15Speaker 2: and doing great after a three-day stay in the ICU. So,
- 10:18Speaker 2: Lionel Richie, he's back at home. After being in intensive care,
- 10:22Speaker 2: the 77-year-old music legend was discharged and returned to Los Angeles,
- 10:26Speaker 2: where he's reportedly doing great. He checked himself into a
- 10:29Speaker 2: hospital following his August 29th concert in St. Louis, where
- 10:32Speaker 2: he visibly struggled to finish the show and eventually requested
- 10:36Speaker 2: a chair while performing all night long. Doctors are saying
- 10:40Speaker 2: it was a slight dehydration, but they're also testing for
- 10:44Speaker 2: possible cardiac issues.
- 10:45Speaker 1: What do you think? That's the key word, isn't it?
- 10:48Speaker 1: You don't spend Three days in hospital with a slight dehydration.
- 10:53Speaker 1: They give you fluids and you're out. And if you're
- 10:56Speaker 1: Lionel Richie, you probably have a private nurse at your home.
- 11:00Speaker 1: And so the fact he was there for three days
- 11:02Speaker 1: and then they just casually mention heart issues. Just mention
- 11:07Speaker 1: that at the end of the sentence. Just slips that in.
- 11:10Speaker 1: He's doing fine. He's doing great. They said that last time.
- 11:13Speaker 1: When he had to sit down in a concert about eight,
- 11:15Speaker 1: nine weeks ago, they said, he's fine, he's fine. He's
- 11:18Speaker 1: just a bit tired, just a bit dehydrated. Tell us
- 11:21Speaker 1: the truth. Honestly, we're big boys and girls. We can
- 11:24Speaker 1: take it. Why not tell us the truth? You're 77.
- 11:27Speaker 1: You've got nothing to prove. You were Lionel Richie. You
- 11:29Speaker 1: were a legend. If you are having health issues. And
- 11:33Speaker 1: you don't want to tell us. I get that. That's
- 11:35Speaker 1: your prerogative. But then don't do shows. If you want
- 11:38Speaker 1: to do shows and something goes wrong, then I think
- 11:41Speaker 1: it's easier just to tell the truth. There's no shame here.
- 11:44Speaker 1: There's nothing that he did wrong. If he wants to perform,
- 11:47Speaker 1: that is up to them. There's a lot of people
- 11:48Speaker 1: out there who argue these performers of this generation should
- 11:53Speaker 1: sit down and shut up. I don't agree. If you're
- 11:55Speaker 1: willing to go out on stage and if the audience
- 11:58Speaker 1: is still willing to buy the tickets, we're not fools.
- 12:00Speaker 1: I know when I see Madonna, she's not going to
- 12:02Speaker 1: be dancing like she did when she was 20.
- 12:04Speaker 2: I get it.
- 12:05Speaker 1: She's in her 60s. I loved it. I had a
- 12:07Speaker 1: great night. It's my money. I loved seeing Madonna. Was
- 12:10Speaker 1: she the Madonna that she used to be? Absolutely not.
- 12:13Speaker 1: But I get that. It's different. So I don't want
- 12:16Speaker 1: him to retire unless he wants to retire. But I
- 12:18Speaker 1: think this weird thing where they don't quite tell us
- 12:22Speaker 1: the truth. Often they say technical difficulties cancelled the show.
- 12:26Speaker 1: I don't know, Mark. What do you think? Do you
- 12:28Speaker 1: wish he was a little bit more forthcoming?
- 12:30Speaker 2: Listen, I mean, I think the health is the priority here.
- 12:33Speaker 2: And you see people like Gladys Knight who are clearly
- 12:35Speaker 2: struggling and she's wandering around the stage and not knowing.
- 12:38Speaker 1: Where she is.
- 12:38Speaker 2: And there has to be a point where someone says, Listen,
- 12:41Speaker 2: you've worked so hard. Enjoy the fruits of your labor.
- 12:43Speaker 2: Take a seat. You don't have to work anymore. Or
- 12:46Speaker 2: you do shows in one area. Be in L.A. and
- 12:48Speaker 2: let people come to you. Like, you don't have to
- 12:50Speaker 2: do this grind of touring American Idol and everything else.
- 12:53Speaker 2: And that's where I think, you know, how many more
- 12:55Speaker 2: years does he have left? We don't know. But it's like,
- 12:57Speaker 2: don't waste your last few years, you know, doing it.
- 13:01Speaker 1: Right. Yeah. The performers that I know, they love it.
- 13:04Speaker 1: And it would be a waste for them to not
- 13:06Speaker 1: do it. They love this. This is all they've got.
- 13:08Speaker 1: They don't have many friends. They don't have much of
- 13:10Speaker 1: a life. All they do is perform. So I think
- 13:13Speaker 1: we have to give them a structure or help them.
- 13:16Speaker 1: But will they listen? It's the Meghan Markle problem, isn't it?
- 13:18Speaker 1: Why would Lionel Richie listen to me? Lionel, if you listen,
- 13:22Speaker 1: I get it. I get it. You're Lionel Richie. I
- 13:24Speaker 1: get it. At least let's have some good news here.
- 13:26Speaker 1: He's out of the ICU. Fingers crossed, although I think
- 13:32Speaker 1: if he continues touring and he has not cancelled any
- 13:35Speaker 1: of those, many of those dates, a few he's cancelled,
- 13:37Speaker 1: but the two are still going ahead. I think we're
- 13:39Speaker 1: going to be doing this story again and again and again. OK,
- 13:42Speaker 1: moving along, we know what Dollywood is doing to honour
- 13:46Speaker 1: the legendary Dolly Parton. Dollywood, her fabulous park, which I've
- 13:50Speaker 1: never been to, I've got to go, is making sure
- 13:53Speaker 1: that Dolly's spirit remains at the heart of the park.
- 13:57Speaker 1: that she created. Executives have announced, they told me, that
- 14:00Speaker 1: they're going to do a cascading mountainside waterfall outside the chapel,
- 14:06Speaker 1: designed as a peaceful place where visitors can reflect. The
- 14:11Speaker 1: chapel has also got beautiful stained glass windows and features,
- 14:15Speaker 1: a Bible verse that was very, very deep, was very
- 14:19Speaker 1: meaningful to Dolly. I like this, a waterfall, a chapel,
- 14:24Speaker 1: I'd love to go to Dollywood and enjoy the rides
- 14:27Speaker 1: and the food, have all that fun. And then while
- 14:29Speaker 1: I was there, I'd want to take a moment. I would.
- 14:31Speaker 1: I'd love to take just a little moment, go by
- 14:34Speaker 1: a fountain, a waterfall, and say thank you to Dolly.
- 14:37Speaker 1: I think this is actually a lovely, lovely way to
- 14:40Speaker 1: remember her. What do you think? I love it.
- 14:42Speaker 2: And I think Dolly has left us so much throughout
- 14:45Speaker 2: her life and how to treat people and how to
- 14:47Speaker 2: care for people. And I think now... you know, remembering
- 14:50Speaker 2: that she has done a lot for us and that
- 14:51Speaker 2: she'll continue to do stuff for us and give us
- 14:53Speaker 2: a space to reflect and just be.
- 14:57Speaker 1: I agree. Would you rather, Mark, if she was buried there? Like,
- 15:01Speaker 1: Elvis is buried at Graceland. If you go to Graceland,
- 15:05Speaker 1: you can see the grave of Elvis. Dolly is not.
- 15:08Speaker 1: She is in a cemetery close by, but she's not
- 15:11Speaker 1: at the park. There were some discussions about burying Dolly there.
- 15:16Speaker 1: I actually think this might be a better idea. What
- 15:18Speaker 1: do you think?
- 15:19Speaker 2: I think this is more true to who she was.
- 15:21Speaker 2: We talked about this last time. We didn't know a
- 15:23Speaker 2: ton about her personal life. No. And I think it's
- 15:25Speaker 2: more fitting that her personal life remains the way it
- 15:28Speaker 2: is with her husband.
- 15:29Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 15:29Speaker 2: And we can honor her the way we know her.
- 15:31Speaker 1: Oh, I like that. She's with Carl. She's with her husband.
- 15:34Speaker 1: He would not like all this attention. No. And so
- 15:36Speaker 1: we would have to bury Carl at the park, too.
- 15:38Speaker 1: And he would not want to be there. So Dolly's
- 15:41Speaker 1: with Carl in a private place. But Dolly, ah, Dolly.
- 15:45Speaker 1: We didn't have all of her. We only had a
- 15:47Speaker 1: small part of her. we can still remember that part
- 15:50Speaker 1: and let Carl and Dolly live forever. So beautiful. Okay,
- 15:54Speaker 1: we're going to take a quick break, but we will
- 15:56Speaker 1: be right back. Welcome back to the Nautilus of a
- 16:01Speaker 1: Nice Show. Oh, Mark, I'm still obsessed with all your
- 16:04Speaker 1: Jennifer news. How much was the ticket? How much did
- 16:07Speaker 1: you pay?
- 16:08Speaker 2: It was before taxes. It was $ 95, but it included
- 16:12Speaker 2: a book that's worth almost $ 30.
- 16:13Speaker 1: $ 30. So let's say $ 70? $ 60. Plus Ubers. Oh, see
- 16:21Speaker 1: if I was going to pay $ 60. I mean, I
- 16:23Speaker 1: think I'd rather see you at Bottino's and just gossip
- 16:26Speaker 1: about chance. I never think I would. Oh, it's steep,
- 16:29Speaker 1: isn't it? I don't know. I didn't go. I regret
- 16:31Speaker 1: it now. Okay. Let's get to the polls. Dun, dun, dun.
- 16:36Speaker 1: Thank you, Mark. Last show we talked about Harry and
- 16:38Speaker 1: Meghan struggling to find a staff who will work for
- 16:41Speaker 1: them in the UK. So people don't want to work
- 16:44Speaker 1: for them. Those Brits have a very different mentality. All
- 16:47Speaker 1: countries do. We all have. And it's not work ethic.
- 16:50Speaker 1: It's just the way we go about business. Americans, particularly
- 16:53Speaker 1: here in New York. Gosh, when I first came here, Mark,
- 16:55Speaker 1: they're so aggressive. You would get an email, a text
- 16:58Speaker 1: at six in the morning or the weekend or later.
- 17:01Speaker 1: They just they don't stop. And if you're working for
- 17:04Speaker 1: a big American New York company, at least I can
- 17:06Speaker 1: only say from my experience, I could be out drinking
- 17:08Speaker 1: with Mark and I can get a text from my
- 17:10Speaker 1: boss at eight o'clock and that's perfect. And they expect
- 17:11Speaker 1: an answer right away. The Brits don't really work like that.
- 17:16Speaker 1: Like they have a lot of private time. They have
- 17:19Speaker 1: a lot of vacation. They call it a holiday time.
- 17:21Speaker 1: And so it's not that they're lazy. It's just a
- 17:24Speaker 1: different setup. Well, Megan has not learned anything from last
- 17:27Speaker 1: time she was there driving those poor Brits crazy with
- 17:31Speaker 1: her texts and her emails. She's now going to be
- 17:33Speaker 1: the same person. So they're having trouble finding a staff.
- 17:36Speaker 1: Our question was quite simple. Would you work for them? 70%
- 17:38Speaker 1: said no, absolutely not. It is important to have a
- 17:43Speaker 1: good boss. I know a glamorous job feels delicious, doesn't it?
- 17:46Speaker 1: It's very tempting. Always look who is your boss. Find
- 17:49Speaker 1: out who your boss is before you accept. Even a
- 17:52Speaker 1: glamorous job. Hey, don't forget to vote. On today's poll,
- 17:55Speaker 1: go to our X page, our Twitter page, at Naughty
- 17:57Speaker 1: Nice Rob. Our Facebook page is Naughty Gossip. And be
- 18:01Speaker 1: sure to check back tomorrow to hear your results. And now,
- 18:06Speaker 1: it's time for our nicest of the day.
- 18:11Speaker 2: Oh, Katie Holmes. She's made her romance with Jason Barty,
- 18:15Speaker 2: our musky Instagram official.
- 18:17Speaker 1: We'd like to see it.
- 18:20Speaker 2: The 47-year-old actress made her romance with artist Jason Bardier-Monsky,
- 18:24Speaker 2: who's 38, IG official posting a sweet birthday tribute featuring
- 18:27Speaker 2: the couple embracing. This move comes after Holmes quietly soft-launched
- 18:32Speaker 2: their relationship last month by reposting photos from his Instagram.
- 18:36Speaker 2: And romance rumors first began in July when the pair
- 18:38Speaker 2: were spotted holding hands at a Henton screening.
- 18:41Speaker 1: I like it. I like it. I want Katie to
- 18:44Speaker 1: find some love, don't you? I still remember her from
- 18:46Speaker 1: Dawson's Creek. I know she's probably more famous for being Mrs.
- 18:49Speaker 1: Tom Cruise, but Katie, you are our nicest of the
- 18:52Speaker 1: day and our naughtiest of the day. Naughty, naughty, naughty.
- 18:54Speaker 1: Tiger Wood has lost his driving licence for five years.
- 18:56Speaker 1: He can't even drive a golf cart, which I am
- 18:59Speaker 1: all for. Don't drink and drive. You've got all this money, Tiger.
- 19:03Speaker 1: You can afford a driver. Don't do it. I don't
- 19:06Speaker 1: care if you want to Hurt yourself. If you want
- 19:08Speaker 1: to mess up yourself, fair enough. But you hurt other
- 19:10Speaker 1: people when you drink and you drive. And that's just
- 19:13Speaker 1: not fair. Imagine somebody walking around the neighborhood and there's
- 19:16Speaker 1: that drunk fool. There's that fool driving down. No, don't
- 19:21Speaker 1: do it. I don't think five years is even long enough.
- 19:23Speaker 1: And notice of the day, let's end with a moment
- 19:25Speaker 1: of rum. You're going to rum, you're going to rum,
- 19:26Speaker 1: you're going to rum. Your biggest achievements are built on
- 19:29Speaker 1: the days when you don't feel like doing anything. It's
- 19:32Speaker 1: easy to keep going when you're motivated. When you feel good,
- 19:35Speaker 1: it's easy to carry on. But motivation is unreliable. Some mornings,
- 19:40Speaker 1: it simply doesn't show up. So you have to show
- 19:43Speaker 1: up anyway. You have to do the work when you're tired.
- 19:45Speaker 1: You have to take the walk when you would rather not.
- 19:47Speaker 1: You have to make the call when you're afraid of
- 19:49Speaker 1: the answer. Those difficult days are the days when you
- 19:52Speaker 1: build something extraordinary. Success doesn't announce it's happening while it
- 19:59Speaker 1: is happening. It accumulates. It doesn't just happen. It accumulates.
- 20:04Speaker 1: So don't underestimate what you accomplish on a bad day.
- 20:09Speaker 1: The days you almost give up may be the days
- 20:13Speaker 1: that change your life. Hey, that is it for today.
- 20:17Speaker 1: Thank you so much for listening to The Naughty But
- 20:20Speaker 1: Nice with Rob and Mark Show. We're a production of
- 20:22Speaker 1: Elvis Duran and iHeartRadio. Don't forget to check out my
- 20:24Speaker 1: sub stack at robshooter.substack.com. And my new novel, Queen Elizabeth III.
- 20:29Speaker 1: Intriguing title. 15 years in the future, we have a
- 20:32Speaker 1: new monarch on the throne. And it's not who you
- 20:35Speaker 1: think it might be. It is available now for pre-orders.
- 20:39Speaker 1: And remember, let me hear you singing along. If you're
- 20:43Speaker 1: going to be naughty, you got to be nice with Rob.
- 20:47Speaker 1: It's not even nice with Rob.
