Latest / Solomonster Sounds Off / WWE Clash In Paris 2025 Review | Becky Lynch SHOCK ENDING With Seth Rollins, AJ LEE Returning?
Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: WWE was in Paris for the final ple here in
- 0:04Speaker 1: the month of August, the final ple on Peacock, thirty
- 0:08Speaker 1: thousand fans in the La Defense Arena, the all time
- 0:13Speaker 1: gate record, they said. They announced this during the show
- 0:15Speaker 1: and everybody cheered because we set the all time gate record.
- 0:22Speaker 1: So they're very expensive tickets. Apparently everybody was very happy
- 0:25Speaker 1: about that. That will never get old. That will never
- 0:28Speaker 1: get old. Nothing like bragging about how much money you
- 0:31Speaker 1: charge people and when you set the all time gate record,
- 0:34Speaker 1: they all cheer you for it. But that's what we
- 0:35Speaker 1: got here tonight that they were also on Peacock for
- 0:38Speaker 1: the final time for a main roster ple. The NXT
- 0:42Speaker 1: shows will be continuing on Peacock if you did not
- 0:44Speaker 1: know from now on Don's ESPN, starting with Wressell Palooza
- 0:50Speaker 1: in a few weeks and tonight in the main event
- 0:53Speaker 1: without anybody out there to help him, Paul Hayman taking
- 0:56Speaker 1: out bron Breaker Bronson Reed banned from the building. Seth
- 1:00Speaker 1: Rollins was all by himself defending the World Heavyweight Championship
- 1:04Speaker 1: in a fatal four way match against CM Punk, La
- 1:08Speaker 1: Knight and jay Uso. He was going to go it alone.
- 1:11Speaker 1: Except he didn't and the big reveal at the end
- 1:15Speaker 1: of the show, because there were some murmurs going on
- 1:18Speaker 1: about them maybe having some kind of big reveal or
- 1:21Speaker 1: some kind of big angle here for the end of
- 1:23Speaker 1: the show. I tried to stay away from that, but
- 1:26Speaker 1: I saw that was floating around turned out to be
- 1:30Speaker 1: Becky Lynch dressed like a ninja. Remember years ago when
- 1:34Speaker 1: we had this influx of ninjas in WWE, everybody dressing
- 1:38Speaker 1: up like a ninja. The ninja tonight turned out to
- 1:42Speaker 1: be Becky Lynch coming to her husband's aid. Seth Rollins
- 1:45Speaker 1: stomps cm punk. I've lost track of how many times
- 1:49Speaker 1: he has stomped this man's face into the ground, going
- 1:52Speaker 1: back to the beginning of the year, It's happened a lot.
- 1:56Speaker 1: And he pinned cm punk to retain the World Heavyweight
- 1:59Speaker 1: champion ship. You know, I don't hate pairing Becky Lynch
- 2:04Speaker 1: and Seth Rollins together on TV. I don't you know.
- 2:08Speaker 1: There was a time many years ago when Vince McMahon
- 2:10Speaker 1: put them together on TV as baby faces, and it
- 2:13Speaker 1: was an absolute fail. Seriously, it just it did not work.
- 2:17Speaker 1: It made Becky, who was this cool character at the time,
- 2:21Speaker 1: just made her so uncool. This is different though now
- 2:26Speaker 1: they're both heels. Becky has been very entertaining largely since
- 2:30Speaker 1: coming back and going heel and this Intercontinental title run
- 2:34Speaker 1: that she's been on. So I don't know if the
- 2:36Speaker 1: idea is to keep them together as a permanent pairing.
- 2:39Speaker 1: If Becky Lynch is now officially a member of the Vision,
- 2:42Speaker 1: we don't know that it could have just been a
- 2:44Speaker 1: one night only thing because Seth had nobody else and
- 2:47Speaker 1: so his wife came to the rescue here. I suspect
- 2:51Speaker 1: that we will get them on television for a while.
- 2:53Speaker 1: I don't think it's a one night thing. But whether
- 2:56Speaker 1: or not that makes her an official member of the
- 2:58Speaker 1: Vision or not, I hope so, I actually hope so.
- 3:03Speaker 1: I think getting a female voice in there is not
- 3:05Speaker 1: a bad idea. Becky is the most obvious person in
- 3:08Speaker 1: that spot, so I didn't mind that so much. Outside
- 3:12Speaker 1: of what happened there at the end, that being the
- 3:14Speaker 1: most newsworthy element of the match, the main event didn't
- 3:17Speaker 1: do anything for me. You know what did though, John
- 3:20Speaker 1: Cena and Logan Paul Because a couple of weeks ago
- 3:24Speaker 1: on SmackDown, John Cena went out there on TV, and
- 3:27Speaker 1: he got the best promo of his entire retirement run.
- 3:31Speaker 1: I mean he went out there and he put over
- 3:33Speaker 1: Logan Paul, but he also laced into him and like
- 3:37Speaker 1: a surgeon, you know, with a scalpel, and he was
- 3:40Speaker 1: taking him apart, piece by piece in a way that
- 3:43Speaker 1: we haven't seen John Cena do on the MIC in
- 3:45Speaker 1: a very long time. And then on SmackDown this week,
- 3:48Speaker 1: he had another very strong promo, not as good as
- 3:50Speaker 1: the week before, but it was the promo work that
- 3:53Speaker 1: really got me invested in this match, as invested as
- 3:56Speaker 1: I could be in a John Cena Logan Paul match.
- 4:00Speaker 1: And then these two guys went out there for twenty
- 4:03Speaker 1: six minutes and they threw everything at each other that
- 4:08Speaker 1: they could possibly throw. They stole every move that they
- 4:12Speaker 1: possibly could from other people that John Cena has wrestled,
- 4:18Speaker 1: wrestlers and other companies. I mean, that's a Logan Paul thing. Anyway,
- 4:22Speaker 1: they threw everything at each other for twenty six minutes.
- 4:25Speaker 1: I will say it hit me when the match was over.
- 4:28Speaker 1: John Cena just wrapped up the month of August with
- 4:32Speaker 1: the two best matches of his entire retirement runs so far,
- 4:37Speaker 1: one of which was a thirty seven minute banger with
- 4:41Speaker 1: Cody Rhoades. The other one was a twenty six minute
- 4:44Speaker 1: match here on this show with Logan Paul. Now, imagine
- 4:49Speaker 1: if we would have gotten this John Cena instead of
- 4:52Speaker 1: what we got with that failed heel run for five
- 4:55Speaker 1: months almost half of John Cena's retirement year, feels like
- 4:59Speaker 1: it was. But in the month of August here we
- 5:04Speaker 1: got two matches that John Cena was able to go
- 5:06Speaker 1: out there and almost turn back the hands of time
- 5:08Speaker 1: and show that, you know what, he's not totally washed.
- 5:10Speaker 1: You know, he still may not be the John Cena
- 5:12Speaker 1: of twenty fifteen, that was ten years ago. I'm not
- 5:16Speaker 1: saying he's that same guy. He isn't, and he hasn't
- 5:18Speaker 1: been for a while. But there was a period of
- 5:20Speaker 1: time there, especially during the early part of the heel rung,
- 5:23Speaker 1: where it just looked like John Cena had regressed so
- 5:25Speaker 1: much that unless he was in the ring with somebody
- 5:29Speaker 1: who was going to be able to go out there
- 5:31Speaker 1: and really just carry the load, does he even have
- 5:34Speaker 1: it in him to have a singles match that long
- 5:37Speaker 1: thirty seven minutes, twenty six minutes. If you would have
- 5:39Speaker 1: told me that a month and a half ago, two
- 5:41Speaker 1: months ago, that John Cen is going to go out
- 5:43Speaker 1: there and have matches that are that long. Believe me,
- 5:46Speaker 1: those would have been the last matches in the car
- 5:48Speaker 1: that I would have been looking forward to seeing. I'm like,
- 5:50Speaker 1: what are you out of your mind? You're gonna send
- 5:52Speaker 1: John Cena out there in a singles match for twenty
- 5:56Speaker 1: six minutes. But he's proven a lot of people wrong
- 6:00Speaker 1: this month, and a lot of it does come down
- 6:01Speaker 1: to who he's in the ring with. Cody Rhades did
- 6:03Speaker 1: a great job in their match together at Summer Slim.
- 6:06Speaker 1: Logan Paul carried his end of the bargain, did a
- 6:10Speaker 1: great job in this match as well, just like he
- 6:11Speaker 1: did earlier in the month at Summer Slim in the
- 6:13Speaker 1: tag team match when he beat Jelly Roll, who was
- 6:17Speaker 1: there tonight. Jelly Roll was there in the front row.
- 6:22Speaker 1: The John Cena Logan Paul match was the match of
- 6:24Speaker 1: the night. The second best match of the night belongs
- 6:27Speaker 1: to Seamus and Russev, who had a good old fashioned
- 6:30Speaker 1: Donnie Brook match. I applaud both men for at least
- 6:33Speaker 1: getting a pl E spot. I mean, they couldn't get
- 6:37Speaker 1: a PLA match if they would have held Triple H
- 6:39Speaker 1: at gunpoint, but they got one here and they made
- 6:41Speaker 1: the most of it. We also had Becky Lynch and
- 6:44Speaker 1: Nikki Bella, which was the exact opposite of what we
- 6:47Speaker 1: got in those two matches. It was easily the worst
- 6:49Speaker 1: thing on the entire show. And then we had the
- 6:52Speaker 1: WWE tag team titles were on the line. We had
- 6:54Speaker 1: Roman Reigns in Bronson Reid. They had a match Roman
- 6:59Speaker 1: trying to get his shoes back, and it was all
- 7:01Speaker 1: to build to a big injury angle when the match
- 7:03Speaker 1: was over. Because Roman has to go film Street Fighter.
- 7:06Speaker 1: He's got a go away for a while. In fact,
- 7:07Speaker 1: he's going to be gone basically the entire month of September.
- 7:11Speaker 1: I think his last day of filming is supposed to
- 7:13Speaker 1: be September twenty sixth. So this was their way of
- 7:16Speaker 1: sending him on his way by having him destroyed by
- 7:20Speaker 1: Seth's goons and do a stretcher job and he was
- 7:24Speaker 1: taken out of the building. So that's how that ended there.
- 7:28Speaker 1: This was a two match show. Sena and Logan and
- 7:32Speaker 1: the good old fashioned Donnie Brook and the rest was
- 7:35Speaker 1: pretty average stuff. It was newsworthy for the little twist
- 7:39Speaker 1: at the end there with Becky Lynch, which is going
- 7:42Speaker 1: to get a lot of people rightfully makes sense right
- 7:46Speaker 1: talking about the potential for an aj Lee return. People
- 7:50Speaker 1: have been asking me about aj Lee for the last
- 7:53Speaker 1: couple of years since Punk came back. Is she coming back?
- 7:57Speaker 1: Is she going to be in the rumble? Is she
- 7:58Speaker 1: going to be an evolution? I've got so many questions.
- 8:00Speaker 1: I've seen so many tweets online about aj Lee over
- 8:03Speaker 1: the last few years, and it never happens. You know,
- 8:06Speaker 1: it never comes to fruition. This is the first time
- 8:09Speaker 1: where there's a built in storyline just ready in waiting
- 8:13Speaker 1: that makes all the sense in the world for her
- 8:15Speaker 1: to be there. I don't know if she is or not.
- 8:18Speaker 1: If you were to ask me, do I think this
- 8:19Speaker 1: is where she comes in? I think it is. But
- 8:22Speaker 1: anybody who tells you they know for sure until it
- 8:24Speaker 1: gets reported by a reputable outlet is lying to you.
- 8:28Speaker 1: They don't know for sure, because if she really truly
- 8:30Speaker 1: wanted to come back, she would have been back by now.
- 8:32Speaker 1: But boy, based on what they did here on this show,
- 8:35Speaker 1: it sure feels like there's a mixed tag team match
- 8:38Speaker 1: just waiting right there. It's ready in waiting. All they
- 8:42Speaker 1: need is the high sign in the green light from
- 8:43Speaker 1: aj Lee that she's ready to come on in and
- 8:46Speaker 1: we'll talk about things that happened and what was said
- 8:50Speaker 1: in the main event by Seth Rollins. That seems to
- 8:55Speaker 1: indicate that that's probably what we're gonna get. But again,
- 8:58Speaker 1: outside of those two matches and a couple of newsworthy
- 9:01Speaker 1: things with the Roman injury angle and the Becky stuff
- 9:04Speaker 1: at the end, not a show that you really need
- 9:07Speaker 1: to go out of your way to see. Pretty average
- 9:09Speaker 1: stuff otherwise, And so ends the Peacock Era when it
- 9:13Speaker 1: comes to these shows, and the Peacock Era doesn't really
- 9:16Speaker 1: go out with a whimper. It doesn't really go out
- 9:19Speaker 1: with a bang, if I had to describe it. It
- 9:22Speaker 1: goes out with more of a shoulder shrug. This is
- 9:27Speaker 1: your clash in Paris, twenty twenty five review. I Am
- 9:30Speaker 1: the Solemn Monster. It is the final day of August.
- 9:33Speaker 1: It is Sunday, August thirty first, twenty twenty five. I
- 9:37Speaker 1: Am the Solemn Monster. Thank you for hanging out with
- 9:40Speaker 1: me here on a Sunday. Usually its sound off Sunday
- 9:44Speaker 1: podcast went up a day early because of this show.
- 9:47Speaker 1: Back to back weekends of Sunday afternoon pay per views.
- 9:52Speaker 1: Hit that subscribe button, hit that like button. We do
- 9:55Speaker 1: have a goal going in the chat. If we want
- 9:57Speaker 1: to do potentially a bonus round to be the booker,
- 9:59Speaker 1: to yet be the booker, we need at least four
- 10:01Speaker 1: hundred likes here on the stream, So hit that thumbs up.
- 10:04Speaker 1: I did mention also super chats are open if your
- 10:08Speaker 1: messages come on in. I'll be reading those. A little
- 10:11Speaker 1: bit later on, I mentioned the SoundOff went up a
- 10:14Speaker 1: day early. One of the things talked about on the show,
- 10:17Speaker 1: very interesting question that was submitted as part of the
- 10:20Speaker 1: mailbag is Roman Reign's a hypocrite for saying in a
- 10:24Speaker 1: recent interview with Stephanie McMahon that it was easier to
- 10:28Speaker 1: get over as a top star in the Attitude era
- 10:31Speaker 1: that it's a lot harder today to get over as
- 10:34Speaker 1: a top star in WWE. It's a very interesting question
- 10:38Speaker 1: I talked about that. That's one of many things covered
- 10:41Speaker 1: on episode nine twenty seven. We have not had the
- 10:44Speaker 1: chance to listen to yet. You can do so when
- 10:46Speaker 1: we are done here with this review. So let's get
- 10:49Speaker 1: into it. Here. They were in Paris, France. They had
- 10:53Speaker 1: a custom Eiffel tower. You know, it's rare these days
- 10:56Speaker 1: outside of WrestleMania that you get any kind of custom
- 11:00Speaker 1: they just designed. It's just everything is just so bland,
- 11:04Speaker 1: and there's just a sameness to it all. They don't
- 11:07Speaker 1: put the same level of effort, and you know, obviously
- 11:10Speaker 1: I'm sure it cost them a pretty penny to put
- 11:12Speaker 1: these together, but you just don't see that effort being
- 11:14Speaker 1: put in much anymore. So I can appreciate it, and
- 11:17Speaker 1: I want to call it out when they do it
- 11:19Speaker 1: because I think it's really cool and I wish it's
- 11:21Speaker 1: something they would do more of when they do some
- 11:24Speaker 1: kind of custom element for the sets, especially if it
- 11:27Speaker 1: ties into the location, and they did that here. They
- 11:30Speaker 1: had a custom Eiffel tower entranceway for the talent when
- 11:33Speaker 1: they walked out to the ring. Again, I will I
- 11:36Speaker 1: will be first in line to lobby for custom entrances
- 11:41Speaker 1: here for these shows custom sets. They opened with Roman
- 11:47Speaker 1: Reigns jerking the curtain here on this show, but I mean,
- 11:52Speaker 1: obviously for what happened in the main event, it kind
- 11:54Speaker 1: of had to happen this way, one on one with
- 11:56Speaker 1: Bronson Reid. Whereas they call it the tribal chief again,
- 12:00Speaker 1: the tribal thief. Roman coming out got that megastar reaction
- 12:05Speaker 1: as you would expect. They sang to him, they showed
- 12:08Speaker 1: jelly roll post malone. They were sitting in the front row,
- 12:11Speaker 1: right behind the announcers. So early in the match, Roman
- 12:15Speaker 1: lifted Reid up on his shoulders almost, you know, like
- 12:19Speaker 1: in a Samoan drop position, but he did so very slowly,
- 12:23Speaker 1: couldn't support his weight, collapsed under the weight. You know,
- 12:26Speaker 1: Bronton Reid has actually slimmed down quite a bit. I'm
- 12:29Speaker 1: not saying he's not a big guy anymore, but he
- 12:31Speaker 1: actually has slimmed down noticeably. So outside the ring, Reid
- 12:35Speaker 1: slam Roman onto the announced desk. Rains bounds back. He
- 12:39Speaker 1: cleared off the table, read Though clotheslined him before he
- 12:43Speaker 1: could do anything. Back in the ring, Rains ran at red,
- 12:47Speaker 1: read though, caught him and hit a world strongest slam.
- 12:51Speaker 1: So then Reid worked always exciting chinlock for a while.
- 12:56Speaker 1: Roman worked out of it, read though caught him with
- 12:58Speaker 1: a Samoan drop. Paul was out there. I should point
- 13:01Speaker 1: out that Paul Hayman was out there. He had the
- 13:02Speaker 1: shula fala around his neck, so bron Breaker was nowhere
- 13:06Speaker 1: to be found, but Paul Hayman hands read the shoe
- 13:09Speaker 1: La falla and read is posing inside the ring With it,
- 13:14Speaker 1: he tried to take off roman shoe. Rains, though kicked
- 13:17Speaker 1: him away. Roman eventually closedline, Read over the top rope
- 13:21Speaker 1: and out to the floor. Rains landed a drive by,
- 13:26Speaker 1: and then he threw Read into the ring. Steps back inside.
- 13:29Speaker 1: Roman set up for a Superman punch Read They'll caught him,
- 13:32Speaker 1: slammed him before he could hit or before hitting a
- 13:35Speaker 1: running sent on, so Reid lifted him up. Roman, though
- 13:39Speaker 1: elbowed his way out of it, rolled Read up for
- 13:41Speaker 1: a near fall. Roman went for another Superman punch and
- 13:45Speaker 1: Bronton caught him. Countered into a death valley driver for
- 13:49Speaker 1: a two count with Rains on the outside. Now, Reid
- 13:52Speaker 1: went for a dive before he could actually dive through
- 13:55Speaker 1: the ropes, though Roman caught him with a punch. I
- 13:57Speaker 1: think it was a Superman punch. Rains followed that up
- 14:01Speaker 1: with a proper Superman punch, but it was only good
- 14:04Speaker 1: enough for a two count. Rains went for a spear,
- 14:07Speaker 1: Reid caught him, dispatched him to the outside, where Reid
- 14:11Speaker 1: did finally hit a suicide dive back inside, Reid went
- 14:14Speaker 1: for a tsunami splash. Roman moved out of the way.
- 14:18Speaker 1: Roman went for a spear, Reid caught him. He just
- 14:21Speaker 1: I love how he just literally just stopped him, Like
- 14:23Speaker 1: Roman is coming in for the spear, and Reed just
- 14:26Speaker 1: stops him. Deadness tracks and delivers a sit out power
- 14:31Speaker 1: bomb for a good near fall. Reid went to the top.
- 14:35Speaker 1: Roman cut him off with a punch and Roman followed
- 14:38Speaker 1: up with a Superman punch and a Samoan drop from
- 14:40Speaker 1: the middle row. And then all it took was one
- 14:44Speaker 1: rains hits a spear and he gets the three count.
- 14:47Speaker 1: Roman reigns defeats Bronson Reed little over twenty minutes in.
- 14:52Speaker 1: They had a solid match. You know, it was elevated
- 14:55Speaker 1: by the crowd, and the crowd was really the third
- 14:57Speaker 1: man as they call it, for the entire night. There
- 15:00Speaker 1: was stuff on this show. They were quiet for We'll
- 15:02Speaker 1: talk about that women's match here in a little bit,
- 15:05Speaker 1: But the crowd was as animated all night as you
- 15:07Speaker 1: would expect them to be. They were doing their chance,
- 15:09Speaker 1: they were singing, they were having a good time. So
- 15:12Speaker 1: when you have a hot crowd like that, it can
- 15:14Speaker 1: take a good match and elevate it to a very
- 15:17Speaker 1: good match. It could take a solid match and elevate
- 15:20Speaker 1: it to a pretty good match. And that's kind of
- 15:23Speaker 1: how I felt about this match here. It was solid.
- 15:26Speaker 1: You know, I've seen both have more exciting matches and
- 15:29Speaker 1: be part of more exciting matches, but the crowd helped
- 15:34Speaker 1: elevate it a little bit more. Here's the thing about
- 15:36Speaker 1: Roman Reigns. Roman Reigns has become a master at getting
- 15:43Speaker 1: the most out of the bare minimum with what he does.
- 15:46Speaker 1: He really doesn't do anything out of the ordinary. He
- 15:50Speaker 1: doesn't really take any risks beyond the normal risks that
- 15:53Speaker 1: you would see him take in the course of a match,
- 15:56Speaker 1: and he just knows how to milk a reaction. This
- 16:00Speaker 1: is what Hogan became a master of. It's like when
- 16:02Speaker 1: you would see Hogan go to Japan, he was working
- 16:05Speaker 1: a totally different style because he knew it was a
- 16:07Speaker 1: different audience. But in front of the audience here, he
- 16:10Speaker 1: knew the kind of match that people were looking for,
- 16:12Speaker 1: so sure he could do more, but he did have to.
- 16:16Speaker 1: He can get away with doing only what he needed
- 16:18Speaker 1: to do, and in his own way, that's what Roman
- 16:20Speaker 1: reigns after all these years, has mastered You know, he
- 16:24Speaker 1: only needs to do what he needs to do and
- 16:27Speaker 1: he will get a reaction no matter what, because they
- 16:29Speaker 1: were cheering and chanting and singing for him the entire
- 16:31Speaker 1: time here in this match. The match itself had a
- 16:34Speaker 1: very deliberate pace and made it very slow in parts.
- 16:39Speaker 1: I wouldn't say it was ever boring. I think deliberate
- 16:42Speaker 1: is a good word for it. But the real story
- 16:45Speaker 1: came after the match. It wasn't even the match itself,
- 16:48Speaker 1: it's what happened afterwards. Rains was posing on top of
- 16:53Speaker 1: the announced desk outside and Paul Hammon is in the
- 16:57Speaker 1: ring and he's kneeling down and he's tending to brons
- 16:59Speaker 1: and rec and Roman turns around and he sees it.
- 17:04Speaker 1: So he goes back into the ring and he's stalking
- 17:07Speaker 1: Paul Haman. Hayman doesn't realize that he's in the ring
- 17:10Speaker 1: until he does, until he turns around, and then he
- 17:12Speaker 1: sees Roman, and now he is begging for his life.
- 17:16Speaker 1: He's begging, he's pleading, he's all terrified and he's screaming,
- 17:20Speaker 1: I love you, my tribal chief. Haman then acknowledges Roman
- 17:25Speaker 1: and he removes the shoe la Falla from his neck
- 17:28Speaker 1: and he hands the shoola Falla to Roman Reigns, who
- 17:33Speaker 1: accepts it and then raises it into the air and
- 17:36Speaker 1: everybody cheers. Roman then drops it. He grabs Hayman and
- 17:41Speaker 1: he locks him in the guillotine and he's sinching it
- 17:44Speaker 1: in and Hayman is flailing and he's tapping, and he's
- 17:47Speaker 1: flailing in his tat and at the very end, you know,
- 17:51Speaker 1: he goes limp and Roman lets him go, and Hayman
- 17:54Speaker 1: falls to the mat. So Roman goes back outside the
- 17:58Speaker 1: ring on the announced dead. He's got the shoe Lafalla
- 18:02Speaker 1: and the timekeeper Berkeley Berkeley Opman, the son of the
- 18:08Speaker 1: shock Master. He's been timekeeper in WWE for many years now.
- 18:13Speaker 1: He comes over with a pair of scissors. He's cutting
- 18:16Speaker 1: the laces. So you should have kept him together. You
- 18:19Speaker 1: could have put that in like a hall of fame
- 18:21Speaker 1: one day, if they ever actually have a physical hall
- 18:24Speaker 1: of fame, you could put it in the hall of fame.
- 18:26Speaker 1: But he cut the laces. Roman then gets a sharpie.
- 18:29Speaker 1: He begins signing each shoe and he's throwing them out
- 18:32Speaker 1: to the crowd and I think he only threw two
- 18:35Speaker 1: of the shoes out before bron Breaker appeared. And the
- 18:39Speaker 1: way they did this is the camera. We didn't see
- 18:41Speaker 1: bron Breaker until all of a sudden, the camera just
- 18:44Speaker 1: pans over and bron Breaker is standing there. He's on
- 18:47Speaker 1: the timekeeper's barricade. Now he's over standing on the French
- 18:51Speaker 1: announced desk because he had the English announced desk. And
- 18:54Speaker 1: then to the left of the English announced desk, if
- 18:57Speaker 1: you're facing the ring, is the French desk. Bron Breaker
- 19:01Speaker 1: is standing there. He's measuring Roman and he dies from
- 19:05Speaker 1: that table to the English announced desk and he spears
- 19:09Speaker 1: Roman through the announced desk. Thankfully it broke because these
- 19:12Speaker 1: tables now are reinforced, they don't break as easily as
- 19:15Speaker 1: they used to. But this table did break, so they
- 19:19Speaker 1: go crashing through the desk. They show Jelly Rolls standing
- 19:22Speaker 1: there in the front row. He's like, oh my god,
- 19:23Speaker 1: he's looking all concerned. Thankfully he stayed right where he was.
- 19:28Speaker 1: He didn't involve himself. He was smart enough not to
- 19:31Speaker 1: involve himself. Here. Breaker went into the ring and along
- 19:35Speaker 1: with Bronson Reid, they helped Paul Hayman to his feet.
- 19:38Speaker 1: So the heels were leaving and Roman is being tended to.
- 19:42Speaker 1: Eventually Roman got back to his feet. He's favoring his ribs,
- 19:44Speaker 1: but he doesn't want any help. He's gonna leave on
- 19:47Speaker 1: his own power. And he walks and he makes it
- 19:49Speaker 1: as far as the head of the aisleway before he
- 19:52Speaker 1: could even really start going down the aisle, bron Breaker
- 19:56Speaker 1: sees this, and from about twenty feet away, bron Breaker
- 19:59Speaker 1: gets a nice running head start here and he sprints
- 20:03Speaker 1: down the aisle and he spears Roman for a second time,
- 20:07Speaker 1: spears him right down to the ground. So the heels
- 20:11Speaker 1: roll reins back into the ring. Bronson Red heads up
- 20:14Speaker 1: top and he hits a tsunami splash to Roman reigns.
- 20:19Speaker 1: More officials come pouring out. Hurricane Helms is out there,
- 20:23Speaker 1: Jason Jordan is out there. I think Adam Pierce might
- 20:26Speaker 1: have been out there. There's a whole bunch of officials out there.
- 20:28Speaker 1: So they bring out a stretcher for Roman, and with
- 20:32Speaker 1: Roman now strapped to the gurney, Reid runs back down
- 20:36Speaker 1: to the ring. He goes up top. Roman now is
- 20:39Speaker 1: completely defenseless because he is strapped to this board and
- 20:43Speaker 1: he has nowhere to go. Can't even get his hands
- 20:45Speaker 1: up or anything, and Bronson Reed comes flying off with
- 20:49Speaker 1: a second tsunami splash. And I'm watching all of this
- 20:53Speaker 1: play out because this has been going on for a
- 20:56Speaker 1: while now, and I'm like, I know Roman's he got
- 21:00Speaker 1: family in the building, but boy, it would sure be
- 21:02Speaker 1: a good time for them to be out here to
- 21:04Speaker 1: come to this man's aid. So he gets squashed for
- 21:07Speaker 1: a second time. And then finally, after much delay, jay
- 21:12Speaker 1: Uso finally shows up. I guess he was busy yeating
- 21:16Speaker 1: himself elsewhere in the building. Jay Uso finally shows up
- 21:19Speaker 1: to assist his cousin. He fights off the heels until
- 21:22Speaker 1: the heels then got back in the ring and bron
- 21:25Speaker 1: Breaker speared jay Uso Bronson Reid also went back up top.
- 21:29Speaker 1: He hit a third tsunami splash to Roman Reins, who
- 21:33Speaker 1: was still strapped to the board, and finally they were
- 21:36Speaker 1: able to get the heels out of there, and Roman
- 21:39Speaker 1: Reigns was flattened like a pancake and eventually he was
- 21:44Speaker 1: stretchered out. The postmatch angle lasted almost as long as
- 21:49Speaker 1: the fucking match. I said the match went about twenty minutes.
- 21:52Speaker 1: This whole postmatch angle went just about fifteen minutes, so
- 21:57Speaker 1: when you tally it all up, we didn't even get
- 22:00Speaker 1: to the second match of this show until the beginning
- 22:02Speaker 1: of hour two, which is completely ridiculous. But part of
- 22:07Speaker 1: that is also the first match didn't actually start until
- 22:10Speaker 1: we were about twenty minutes fifteen twenty minutes into the show,
- 22:14Speaker 1: so that entire first hour of this ple was just
- 22:17Speaker 1: gone at that point. It is inexplicable that it took
- 22:21Speaker 1: jay usso that long when he saw what was going
- 22:24Speaker 1: after the first spear on the table, that it took
- 22:27Speaker 1: him that long to make his way out to help
- 22:30Speaker 1: his cousin out. The angle itself not really surprising. I
- 22:34Speaker 1: didn't know if they were going to do it on
- 22:35Speaker 1: this show or on Raw this Monday. I believe he
- 22:38Speaker 1: begins filming on Tuesday, so it was going to be
- 22:41Speaker 1: a little dicey whether or not he'd even be able
- 22:43Speaker 1: to be on the show on Monday. I believe he's
- 22:45Speaker 1: filming for Street Fighter in Australia, so if they were
- 22:49Speaker 1: going to do something, it had to be on this show.
- 22:51Speaker 1: That was not surprising, and as an Angle, I thought
- 22:54Speaker 1: it was a fine way to write him off. I
- 22:56Speaker 1: personally think it would have meant more to give Bronson
- 22:58Speaker 1: Read the win here. In the big picture, it's not
- 23:02Speaker 1: gonna hurt Bronson Reid. It's not really gonna end up
- 23:04Speaker 1: being that big of a deal. But you know, Roman,
- 23:08Speaker 1: Roman could have gotten his shoes back and you could
- 23:11Speaker 1: have shot the exact same angle after he lost the match.
- 23:15Speaker 1: Everything else could have played out exactly the way it did,
- 23:18Speaker 1: but it would have been huge, you know, for Bronson
- 23:20Speaker 1: Reid to get a win here, and they opted not
- 23:23Speaker 1: to do that. Part of the reason may have been because,
- 23:26Speaker 1: you know, Seth Rollins was going to win at the
- 23:28Speaker 1: end of the show, so maybe they wanted to give
- 23:30Speaker 1: the fans a babyface win here at the beginning. That's
- 23:33Speaker 1: always possible. Again, the loss doesn't hurt Bronson Reid. He
- 23:37Speaker 1: you know, he took the majority of the match, got
- 23:40Speaker 1: his heat back with the angle when it was over
- 23:43Speaker 1: three tsunami splashes, so I thought it was still very effective.
- 23:47Speaker 1: In the back after, Adam Pierce was livid talking to
- 23:51Speaker 1: bron Breaker and Bronson Reid, and he also informed them, well,
- 23:55Speaker 1: first he ejected them, kicked him out of the building,
- 23:57Speaker 1: but he informed them that Roman had been taken to
- 24:01Speaker 1: the hospital and they're like, well, what about Hayman cares
- 24:04Speaker 1: about him? What about Paul Hayman? And Pierce said, well,
- 24:08Speaker 1: you guys can join him, And they weren't very happy
- 24:10Speaker 1: about this because they said Seth Rolins still has a match.
- 24:13Speaker 1: We're not going nowhere. Seth Rollins has a match later
- 24:16Speaker 1: in the show, and Pierce said, if I even so
- 24:19Speaker 1: much as smell you coming back to the building, you
- 24:24Speaker 1: will both be suspended indefinitely without pay. So this is
- 24:28Speaker 1: how they set things up for the main event. Hayman's
- 24:31Speaker 1: gone breaker and Reader Gone. Seth is going into this
- 24:35Speaker 1: main event against three other guys with nobody there to
- 24:38Speaker 1: help him and watch his back. So that was the
- 24:41Speaker 1: purpose of this opening the show so they could set
- 24:44Speaker 1: things up for the main event. At the very end.
- 24:49Speaker 1: Now we have the WYAT six. After this, Joe Gacy
- 24:52Speaker 1: and Dexter Loomis defending the WWE tag team titles against
- 24:56Speaker 1: the Street Profits. Angelo Dawkins put his own arm out
- 25:01Speaker 1: to stop montese Ford from starting the match. I got this.
- 25:06Speaker 1: He wanted to start the match, okay, so he let
- 25:10Speaker 1: him start the match. Meanwhile, montes Ford ended up tagging
- 25:12Speaker 1: himself in after dawkins initial exchange with Dexter Loomis didn't
- 25:18Speaker 1: really go too well, and Angelo Dawkins did not look
- 25:21Speaker 1: very happy about this at all. He was like, okay,
- 25:26Speaker 1: all right, fam and he got back out on the apron.
- 25:29Speaker 1: So I'm watching this going uh oh, where did this
- 25:32Speaker 1: come from? The why? It's worked over Ford for a
- 25:35Speaker 1: while until Dawkins made a hot tag back into the match.
- 25:39Speaker 1: Dawkins ran while to hit Joe Gasey with a sent
- 25:41Speaker 1: on bomb, profits hit Gaysey with an electric chair drop
- 25:45Speaker 1: slash blockbuster combo. Dexter broke up the cover. Ford missed
- 25:50Speaker 1: a frog splash, which led to a messed up spot.
- 25:54Speaker 1: Gasey went to go use Loomis as a weapon. Ford
- 25:56Speaker 1: just fell down before being hit. Gacy dropped Loomis on
- 26:01Speaker 1: top of him. Dawkins tackled Gasey into the barricade outside
- 26:05Speaker 1: and then he became distracted when Eric Rowan walked over
- 26:08Speaker 1: and the two of them are looking at each other,
- 26:10Speaker 1: and that gave Loomis an opportunity to just charge in
- 26:15Speaker 1: tackle Dawkins over the barricade montes. Ford then wiped out
- 26:19Speaker 1: Loomis and Rowan with his dive out over the ring post.
- 26:23Speaker 1: Now he went to go get back in the ring,
- 26:26Speaker 1: and hiding underneath the ring poking her head out is
- 26:29Speaker 1: Nicky Cross, and Nicky Cross grabs a hold of montes
- 26:33Speaker 1: Ford's leg so he can't get back in the ring.
- 26:36Speaker 1: The referee is distracted, he's on the other side of
- 26:38Speaker 1: the ring tending to something, doesn't see what's going on here.
- 26:43Speaker 1: Uncle Howdie comes over, grabs montes Ford, gives him sister
- 26:47Speaker 1: Abigail on the floor, so Ford is laid out, so
- 26:52Speaker 1: they put Ford back in the ring. Gasey and Loomis
- 26:56Speaker 1: give him a combo sit out, power bomb neck breaker.
- 27:00Speaker 1: They call it the Plague and they got the win,
- 27:03Speaker 1: so the Wyatt six retained the tag team titles. Here
- 27:08Speaker 1: solid stuff, I mean, no real downtime like we had
- 27:11Speaker 1: in the opening match. There were moments where it was,
- 27:14Speaker 1: you know, a chin lock here and there. This was
- 27:16Speaker 1: basically a sprint for a good ten or eleven minutes
- 27:19Speaker 1: or so. I think this would have been a fine
- 27:21Speaker 1: television match on SmackDown. This was the first time where
- 27:26Speaker 1: the Wyots I feel like were really treated like heels.
- 27:30Speaker 1: Ye had Nikki Cross getting involved there at the end.
- 27:33Speaker 1: Uncle Howdie gets involved blatantly right lays out montes Ford
- 27:38Speaker 1: on the floor, so it certainly felt like a heel
- 27:41Speaker 1: move here at the end of this the tension though
- 27:45Speaker 1: between Angelo Dawkins and montes Ford, it felt so manufactured.
- 27:50Speaker 1: They did nothing to set it up. All we had
- 27:53Speaker 1: to set this up was just a very brief few
- 27:58Speaker 1: lines from Bo Dallas on Friday where he saw them
- 28:02Speaker 1: in the back and he made a mention of them like,
- 28:05Speaker 1: are you really brothers? You know, you're basically you're not
- 28:08Speaker 1: family like us, And when we beat you, you'll see,
- 28:12Speaker 1: you know whether or not you two are really family
- 28:14Speaker 1: or not. Right. It was something to that effect that
- 28:17Speaker 1: was it. It's not as if that there's been this
- 28:20Speaker 1: overt effort on television over the last several weeks to
- 28:23Speaker 1: build up tension, like they've been telling some kind of
- 28:26Speaker 1: a story between montes Ford and Angelo Dawkins. By and large,
- 28:31Speaker 1: everything's been fine. All of a sudden, you see that
- 28:35Speaker 1: tension there at the beginning of the match, and I'm like,
- 28:37Speaker 1: where the hell did this come from? It just felt
- 28:39Speaker 1: so forced to me. It felt very manufactured that all
- 28:44Speaker 1: of a sudden they're teasing a street profits breakup when
- 28:46Speaker 1: they've really done nothing to really build up to it,
- 28:48Speaker 1: but they sure wanted you to feel like, Okay, we
- 28:50Speaker 1: could be heading in this direction soon. It made me
- 28:54Speaker 1: also remember on the pre show Big E before they
- 28:57Speaker 1: went on the air here with the main card, big
- 28:59Speaker 1: E made a comment about how this match is basically
- 29:01Speaker 1: a must win for the Street Profits. If they don't
- 29:04Speaker 1: win this match, he basically was saying, I don't know
- 29:07Speaker 1: where they go from here, So they're definitely teasing a
- 29:11Speaker 1: new direction for the Street Profits. It could very well
- 29:13Speaker 1: result in a breakup. Again. There's been some start and
- 29:16Speaker 1: stop storytelling in the past that kind of gave you
- 29:20Speaker 1: the indication they might be going down that road, and
- 29:23Speaker 1: then they pulled back or they swerved you and they
- 29:25Speaker 1: went a different way. I've been waiting for a Montes
- 29:28Speaker 1: Ford singles push for a couple of years now. There
- 29:33Speaker 1: was a brief window in I guess it was two
- 29:37Speaker 1: years ago, right heading into WrestleMania thirty nine. That was
- 29:41Speaker 1: the year that Ford was in the Elimination Chamber match
- 29:44Speaker 1: for the US title where I really thought, Okay, this
- 29:47Speaker 1: looks like they're going to move forward with it, and
- 29:49Speaker 1: then they didn't. It was completely dropped. It was completely abandoned.
- 29:53Speaker 1: So I have no idea. I'm not going to sit
- 29:55Speaker 1: here and tell you, Okay, Triple H is finally going
- 29:57Speaker 1: to do it. Because TRIPLEH has sort of dangled that
- 30:00Speaker 1: carrot before and then pulled back. I don't know if
- 30:02Speaker 1: he's going to do it or not. It seems like
- 30:05Speaker 1: that could be the direction here. I will believe it
- 30:07Speaker 1: when I see it, because I feel the same way
- 30:10Speaker 1: the Big East did on the pre show when he's like,
- 30:12Speaker 1: I don't know where these guys go from here. They've
- 30:15Speaker 1: been tag team champions, they didn't have the belts for
- 30:18Speaker 1: very long. Now. They had an opportunity to get them back.
- 30:20Speaker 1: They failed, short of moving them over to the Tag
- 30:24Speaker 1: team division on Raw, which could really use the help
- 30:27Speaker 1: right now. I don't know what else you do with
- 30:29Speaker 1: these two. It's like running on the hamster wheel. It
- 30:34Speaker 1: took them years just to win the belts back again.
- 30:37Speaker 1: They went four years between tag team title reigns, and
- 30:40Speaker 1: this was as forgettable a rain as you will ever see.
- 30:45Speaker 1: What is the end goal here? I think Angelo Dawkins
- 30:49Speaker 1: as well. There could be a singles push in it
- 30:51Speaker 1: for him. He's been very impressive in some of these matches.
- 30:54Speaker 1: But montes Ford I think is where the money is.
- 30:56Speaker 1: If you had to put money down as a single
- 31:00Speaker 1: on one or the other. My money is on montes Ford.
- 31:06Speaker 1: My money is on a montes Ford, Bianca Bellair, Parry,
- 31:09Speaker 1: a montes Forward, Bianca bell Air, Heel Pairy at some
- 31:13Speaker 1: point down the road. I've always felt that way, but
- 31:17Speaker 1: every year that goes by, it just makes me wonder
- 31:19Speaker 1: if they're ever going to actually pull the trigger and
- 31:21Speaker 1: do it. May as well, because like big Ee said,
- 31:28Speaker 1: I don't know where you go with these guys from here.
- 31:30Speaker 1: I really don't now. Up next, we had Becky Lynch
- 31:38Speaker 1: defending the Women's Intercontinental Championship against Nicky Bella. Noticeable booze.
- 31:46Speaker 1: Nothing overwhelming like Logan Paul. Noticeable booze though for Nicki
- 31:51Speaker 1: Bella when she came out cheers, noticeable cheers, especially at
- 31:55Speaker 1: the end when she won for Becky Lynch, so that
- 31:58Speaker 1: was interesting, not surprising, but interesting. Nicki came at her
- 32:02Speaker 1: with a fury right out of the gate, so Becky
- 32:05Speaker 1: retreated to the outside. Nicki went for a sliding drop
- 32:09Speaker 1: kick through the ropes to the floor. Becky had moved
- 32:12Speaker 1: out of the way, so Nicki just didn't even land
- 32:14Speaker 1: on her feet, she landed on the ground, She crashed
- 32:17Speaker 1: and burned back inside, Becky landed a leg drop from
- 32:22Speaker 1: the top rope for a two count. There was a
- 32:25Speaker 1: spot outside the ring a few minutes into this where
- 32:30Speaker 1: Nicki started slamming. Becky was supposed to be faced first repeatedly,
- 32:35Speaker 1: you know, over and over again into the announced desk,
- 32:37Speaker 1: right top part of the announced desk, and I should
- 32:41Speaker 1: say that she was ramming her hands first into the
- 32:45Speaker 1: announced desk. They really should have switched to a different
- 32:48Speaker 1: camera angle for this, because all you saw was Becky,
- 32:51Speaker 1: you know, her hands were going into the announced desk,
- 32:54Speaker 1: and it just looked really bad. They should have shot
- 32:59Speaker 1: this a little bit differently. Then there was a very
- 33:03Speaker 1: embarrassing spot where Nicky went for a disaster kick like
- 33:10Speaker 1: she was Cody Rhodes, not from like, uh, the center
- 33:15Speaker 1: part of the rope. She went to the corner, but
- 33:17Speaker 1: she came off the middle rope with her version of
- 33:20Speaker 1: a disaster kick, and she went for it before bothering
- 33:24Speaker 1: to see if Becky was in position now. She did
- 33:26Speaker 1: initially turn around to just kind of take stock of
- 33:30Speaker 1: where Becky was, and Becky was not in the position
- 33:33Speaker 1: that you would have wanted her to be in. Nicky
- 33:37Speaker 1: turns back around and she goes through with the kick.
- 33:40Speaker 1: I guess expecting that Becky was going to be there,
- 33:43Speaker 1: but she wasn't and she didn't bother checking. So she
- 33:46Speaker 1: goes and throws this kick. The only thing is she
- 33:48Speaker 1: turns around, there ain't nobody there. There's nobody there. She
- 33:54Speaker 1: threw a kick at John Cena and Becky. What made
- 33:58Speaker 1: it even worse. You can't even say it was a
- 34:00Speaker 1: glancing blow, like it did not connect. But Becky in
- 34:04Speaker 1: the moment stumbled like she was like, oh, I got
- 34:07Speaker 1: to sell this, and then she quickly realized, okay, this
- 34:10Speaker 1: is this looked terrible. I'm not going to sell this,
- 34:12Speaker 1: But initially she kind of did. It was it was terrible,
- 34:16Speaker 1: Like she wasn't even in the neighborhood, so that looked
- 34:20Speaker 1: very bad. Nicki briefly sold leg pain. I'll bet her
- 34:24Speaker 1: ego hurt more than her leg did. Nicki went for
- 34:27Speaker 1: the rack attack, Becky worked out of it, and Nicky
- 34:31Speaker 1: ran it Becky Becky moved. Nicki went to the apron,
- 34:35Speaker 1: so Nicky went to the top rope. Becky cut her off,
- 34:38Speaker 1: landed a superplex from the second rope for a two count.
- 34:42Speaker 1: Bella went to the UH fearless lock, which she had
- 34:46Speaker 1: used earlier in the match. She went back to her
- 34:48Speaker 1: fearless lock. Nicki, though got to the ropes or Becky
- 34:52Speaker 1: did rather broke the hold, so the action spilled outside.
- 34:56Speaker 1: Becky dismantled the ring steps. She tried to lift Nicki
- 34:59Speaker 1: up Nicki. They fought back and ended up hitting a
- 35:02Speaker 1: bellabuster on the flat part of the ring steps. Back inside,
- 35:07Speaker 1: Nicki hit Becky with her own manhandle slam for a
- 35:10Speaker 1: near fall. Nicki then tried for a disarm her Becky
- 35:14Speaker 1: slipped out did a variation of the same finish that
- 35:17Speaker 1: she used. I want to say it was, was it backlash? Whatever?
- 35:21Speaker 1: It was? Back in May, she used a variation of
- 35:24Speaker 1: the same finish that she won with in her triple
- 35:27Speaker 1: threat match with Bailey and Lyra Valkyrio, only this was
- 35:31Speaker 1: not as smooth, but basically a backslide, and she got
- 35:35Speaker 1: a backslide and she won with it. Now, that was
- 35:38Speaker 1: a great finish a few months ago. This was. It
- 35:41Speaker 1: wasn't terrible, but it wasn't as good as that finish was,
- 35:45Speaker 1: but it was effective and she won with it. And
- 35:48Speaker 1: she retains the Intercontinental title. And I said this, you know,
- 35:52Speaker 1: I tweeted this out when the match was over. I said, well,
- 35:55Speaker 1: that was certainly a match that happened. I'll even go
- 35:58Speaker 1: as far as to say it was the best women's
- 36:01Speaker 1: match on the entire show. That's about the nicest thing
- 36:04Speaker 1: I could say about this match. Boy. You know, I
- 36:07Speaker 1: sure wish we had that Stephanie Vecer match on this show.
- 36:11Speaker 1: This was nowhere near the level of the matches for
- 36:14Speaker 1: the most part that Becky had with Lyra Valkyria, outside
- 36:18Speaker 1: of their Summer Slim match, which wasn't very good. This
- 36:22Speaker 1: was the worst match, though, of Becky's run so far
- 36:25Speaker 1: since she came back and since she won the Intercontinental title.
- 36:31Speaker 1: You know, she tried to make something out of this.
- 36:33Speaker 1: They just weren't on the same page for most of it.
- 36:35Speaker 1: It just didn't feel like they were in sync together
- 36:39Speaker 1: the way they did the finish. They may be tempted
- 36:42Speaker 1: to run this back again. I'm sure these two would
- 36:45Speaker 1: love to go back out and have a second crack
- 36:47Speaker 1: at it, try to have a better match if they
- 36:50Speaker 1: insist on doing this match again. And I don't think
- 36:53Speaker 1: there's a single person out there who was asking for
- 36:55Speaker 1: a rematch here. But if they are going to do
- 36:59Speaker 1: a rematch, you could do it on TV. This would
- 37:03Speaker 1: be the perfect time to use their go to stipulation
- 37:08Speaker 1: with all the plunder and all the weapons and the
- 37:10Speaker 1: Kendo sticks and do a match like that, like a
- 37:12Speaker 1: no DQ match, so they at least have the bells
- 37:15Speaker 1: and whistles that they can rely on. I don't have
- 37:18Speaker 1: any interest in seeing this run back with any stipulation,
- 37:21Speaker 1: but if they're gonna do it, I think that would
- 37:23Speaker 1: be the way to go about doing it. And the
- 37:26Speaker 1: thing with Nicky Bella, you know, outside of that one
- 37:29Speaker 1: terrible botch, it wasn't as if well, outside of that
- 37:32Speaker 1: one botch it was a great match. No, it wasn't
- 37:34Speaker 1: a great match. Was It was the weakest match on
- 37:38Speaker 1: the entire show and one of the worst matches that
- 37:40Speaker 1: Becky has had all year, if not the worst. The
- 37:43Speaker 1: thing with Nicky Bella, though, Nicky Bella, it's not that
- 37:46Speaker 1: Nicky is awful, She's always terrible. She can't wrestle, right,
- 37:51Speaker 1: It's not that when Nicky was the Divas Champion, Okay,
- 37:56Speaker 1: when she was on top back in her day, she
- 38:00Speaker 1: was average at best, compared to the quality of the
- 38:03Speaker 1: women that we are used to seeing now in WWE.
- 38:06Speaker 1: When you talk about Becky and Lyra and Charlotte and
- 38:10Speaker 1: Rhea and Bianca and Eo and Osca and on and
- 38:14Speaker 1: on and on, the quality is just so far superior
- 38:19Speaker 1: to what Nicki was working with. And frankly, Nicki herself,
- 38:23Speaker 1: even when she was in her prime and the longest
- 38:26Speaker 1: reigning Divis champion of all time and all of that stuff,
- 38:29Speaker 1: she was still average at best compared to what we
- 38:32Speaker 1: see today. So now she comes back and I know
- 38:35Speaker 1: everybody is singing her praises and how revolutionary she was
- 38:38Speaker 1: and all of this, and you know, blah blah blah.
- 38:40Speaker 1: We hear it in every single promo, But again they
- 38:44Speaker 1: build her up to be something that she really isn't.
- 38:47Speaker 1: And I'm not saying she can't go out there and
- 38:49Speaker 1: have a good match or a solid match, but this
- 38:52Speaker 1: was certainly not it. I'm left even wondering how we
- 38:57Speaker 1: even got to this point because part of the issue also,
- 39:00Speaker 1: this is absolutely part of it. She has had one
- 39:04Speaker 1: other singles match this entire year since she came back
- 39:08Speaker 1: at the Royal Rumble. The only other singles match that
- 39:10Speaker 1: this woman has had was a raw match against Chelsea
- 39:14Speaker 1: Green like six weeks ago. So ring rust and her
- 39:19Speaker 1: lack of matches of any kind, tag singles or anything,
- 39:24Speaker 1: I'm sure played a role in this. She's not getting
- 39:26Speaker 1: the reps in, she's not wrestling on a regular basis,
- 39:29Speaker 1: she's not even wrestling on a part time basis, and
- 39:32Speaker 1: so that's going to play a role as well. And
- 39:34Speaker 1: all of that conspired to give you what you saw
- 39:37Speaker 1: here on this show tonight. There are much better opponents
- 39:40Speaker 1: for Becky to be in the ring working with. One
- 39:43Speaker 1: of those names is the name that I just mentioned
- 39:45Speaker 1: a little while ago, which is Stephanie Bacaierr. Now we
- 39:49Speaker 1: should find out tomorrow what their big solution is to
- 39:53Speaker 1: this women's championship vacancy. They delayed it in another week,
- 39:57Speaker 1: so we have to find out tomorrow. Based on what
- 40:00Speaker 1: Adam Pierce was saying, it sounds like it's one name.
- 40:03Speaker 1: He was just trying to work out the details. I
- 40:06Speaker 1: hope it is just one name. Whoever that name is
- 40:08Speaker 1: going to be. As long as it's not Nickcki Bella,
- 40:10Speaker 1: whoever that name is going to be, I'd rather they
- 40:13Speaker 1: not go through the whole rigmarole of like a multi
- 40:15Speaker 1: person fiasco, and that name, whoever that name is going
- 40:21Speaker 1: to be, is likely going to end up being the
- 40:22Speaker 1: next women's champion because I just don't think Stephanie needs
- 40:25Speaker 1: the title right now. I think it would be a
- 40:27Speaker 1: mistake to put the belt on her right now. Stephanie
- 40:31Speaker 1: didn't even wrestle at all the entire month of August, like,
- 40:34Speaker 1: she's been a total non factor on these shows. You
- 40:37Speaker 1: got to build her up. You got to build her up, honestly.
- 40:40Speaker 1: I mean she won that Battle Royal Evolution. She's been
- 40:43Speaker 1: on the main roster for I don't know what two months,
- 40:47Speaker 1: three months now, not that long. She's barely been established.
- 40:51Speaker 1: She's very popular and everybody loves the Devil's Kiss, but
- 40:54Speaker 1: she's not established enough, and she's somebody who could be
- 40:58Speaker 1: a major player for them. You need to take your
- 40:59Speaker 1: t so that first championship win really means something. I
- 41:03Speaker 1: think a better position for her to be in would
- 41:05Speaker 1: not be challenging for the Women's World Championship, but for
- 41:09Speaker 1: her to be challenging Becky Lynch for the Intercontinental title.
- 41:13Speaker 1: And I think that's exactly the kind of person that
- 41:16Speaker 1: Becky should be working with and dropping the title to eventually,
- 41:19Speaker 1: it's not Nicky Bella. Nicki Bella is from the past.
- 41:23Speaker 1: I don't even know how Nicki Bella ended up with
- 41:25Speaker 1: a Women's Intercontinental title match when she's had one other
- 41:28Speaker 1: match the entire year, one other singles match, and she's
- 41:33Speaker 1: fighting for the championship here. That's a whole other story.
- 41:36Speaker 1: Stephanie Vaquier is the one who should be in that position.
- 41:40Speaker 1: That's what I would do, and then I would eventually
- 41:41Speaker 1: build up to her winning the IC title. Let her
- 41:44Speaker 1: get a run with that, just like she had the
- 41:46Speaker 1: North American title in NXT, and eventually you can build
- 41:49Speaker 1: to her winning the World championship next year. That's the
- 41:52Speaker 1: kind of person that should be in this spot. That's
- 41:55Speaker 1: the kind of person who would benefit from working with
- 41:57Speaker 1: a Becky Lynch. Look that rubuff On steat definitie a
- 42:00Speaker 1: big name right for her to be working with, and
- 42:03Speaker 1: both really good. I think the two of them would
- 42:05Speaker 1: probably have pretty incredible chemistry together. I mean, you don't
- 42:09Speaker 1: know until they're in the ring together, but I just
- 42:12Speaker 1: think someone like that should be in this position, not
- 42:15Speaker 1: a Nikki Bella. Today's episode is sponsored by Better Help

- 44:14Speaker 1: was selling the injured ribs from earlier. Adam Pierce walked
- 44:18Speaker 1: in and wondered, are you gonna be able to compete
- 44:20Speaker 1: in the four way match? Later, Jay insisted on wrestling
- 44:23Speaker 1: in the main event because before Roman got carted off
- 44:26Speaker 1: to the hospital. He told Jay go out there and
- 44:29Speaker 1: win that title back. So now he's all motivated to
- 44:32Speaker 1: go out there and to win the World Championship back.
- 44:36Speaker 1: After that, it was time for Shamus and Russev in
- 44:39Speaker 1: a good old fashioned Donnybrook match. Anything goes, pinfall or
- 44:44Speaker 1: submission in the ring. Again, it's not false count anywhere.
- 44:46Speaker 1: Pinfall or submission in the ring is the only way
- 44:49Speaker 1: to win this match. Now, this is a good moment here.
- 44:54Speaker 1: Since I just got done talking about the women and
- 44:56Speaker 1: I'm about to talk about Seamus, I just very briefly
- 44:59Speaker 1: want to talk talk about a couple of videos that
- 45:01Speaker 1: I saw on social media today. I saw Ria Ripley
- 45:05Speaker 1: tweet out what she did talking about fans in France
- 45:10Speaker 1: who swarmed her earlier today ash and literally had her
- 45:14Speaker 1: up against the door of her uber as she was
- 45:16Speaker 1: trying to get in her uber to get to the
- 45:18Speaker 1: arena or wherever it was that she was going. She
- 45:21Speaker 1: wasn't on the show tonight, but she was there and
- 45:24Speaker 1: it was scary. It was scary because there was nobody
- 45:26Speaker 1: there with her. There's no security, there's nobody from WWE,
- 45:30Speaker 1: there's no other wrestlers there with her. She's all by
- 45:32Speaker 1: herself and she is swarm by this group of people
- 45:36Speaker 1: that are just obsessed with getting up in her face
- 45:39Speaker 1: and taking selfies and sticking papers in her face for
- 45:43Speaker 1: her to autograph, and it's just overwhelming. And then I
- 45:48Speaker 1: saw video. It must have been in a mall. I
- 45:50Speaker 1: don't know where they were, but Seamus was also mobbed
- 45:54Speaker 1: by a group of people to the point where there
- 45:56Speaker 1: was a female fan in the group that was almost
- 45:59Speaker 1: trampled over, and seam has had it's like tell everybody, hey, hey,
- 46:02Speaker 1: back up, back up, and he's like talking to the fan,
- 46:04Speaker 1: are you okay? Are you okay? Again? Very scary situation
- 46:07Speaker 1: here because everybody is all up in their space and
- 46:10Speaker 1: there's nobody there seemingly to separate them, from what I
- 46:14Speaker 1: could tell. So this has been a recurring theme in
- 46:19Speaker 1: other places as well. It's not like France is the
- 46:22Speaker 1: only place where this has happened. This has happened in
- 46:24Speaker 1: other places as well. And when it comes to the
- 46:26Speaker 1: women in WWE, obviously there have been some very scary
- 46:30Speaker 1: situations in the past, right Sonya Deville, Roxane Perez Live Morgan.
- 46:36Speaker 1: Everybody has had stalkers in different situations even far more
- 46:40Speaker 1: serious than this. But in situations like this, it's to
- 46:44Speaker 1: the point now where I don't see how WWE cannot,
- 46:47Speaker 1: especially for some of these top female names who were
- 46:49Speaker 1: super popular on social media and have people who are
- 46:53Speaker 1: just absolutely obsessed with them. It's to the point now
- 46:57Speaker 1: where WWE and TKO need to very seriously consider when
- 47:01Speaker 1: they are in these places for these pls, having these
- 47:06Speaker 1: talents escorted around by security. This is what it's come
- 47:11Speaker 1: to now, because at some point something very bad is
- 47:14Speaker 1: going to happen, and we'll be talking about this and
- 47:17Speaker 1: having this conversation after the fact, after something bad has
- 47:20Speaker 1: already happened. The whole point is to try to avoid
- 47:22Speaker 1: that altogether and not get to a point where something
- 47:25Speaker 1: really bad happens because people just have no self control.
- 47:29Speaker 1: Part of it is that people get all swept up
- 47:30Speaker 1: in celebrity. Oh my god, I can't believe Seamus is
- 47:33Speaker 1: right here and Rhea Ripley is over here right, and
- 47:35Speaker 1: they get all nervous and they get starstruck. And that's
- 47:38Speaker 1: totally normal. But that's very different than getting up in
- 47:40Speaker 1: someone's personal space or putting your hands on them and
- 47:44Speaker 1: swarming them and stampeding them. You cannot do that. Like
- 47:47Speaker 1: I'm watching that video of Rhea Ripley by her car
- 47:49Speaker 1: being sworn by these absolute fucking losers, and I'm like,
- 47:53Speaker 1: why in the world would you think that it is
- 47:56Speaker 1: appropriate to conduct yourself in this way? Why? And it's
- 48:00Speaker 1: not just kids. I mean, these are people that are
- 48:03Speaker 1: old enough to where they should know better. Like, it
- 48:07Speaker 1: can't be allowed to happen like that anymore. There's going
- 48:10Speaker 1: to have to be somebody who steps in and says, okay,
- 48:12Speaker 1: we need to have people escorting these women around when
- 48:17Speaker 1: they are in these places because it is a very
- 48:20Speaker 1: dangerous situation, or maybe come up with like a buddy system,
- 48:24Speaker 1: you know, where you have some of the male talents
- 48:27Speaker 1: hanging out with them. I don't know, but something has
- 48:29Speaker 1: to happen here, because this is not the first time
- 48:32Speaker 1: something like this has happened. And at least in the
- 48:34Speaker 1: shamous video, Shamus was there. He was able to kind
- 48:36Speaker 1: of back people up and check on that person and
- 48:38Speaker 1: make sure that fan was okay. But I'm telling you,
- 48:40Speaker 1: there's going to come a point where something, you know,
- 48:42Speaker 1: there won't be a Shamus there. There was a video
- 48:46Speaker 1: not that long ago in an airport. I think it
- 48:47Speaker 1: might have been Rhea and there was somebody who was
- 48:50Speaker 1: hounding her and Kevin Owens was there. Kevin Owens came
- 48:52Speaker 1: over and just to check on her and said, of
- 48:53Speaker 1: you okay, and Riea was like, yeah, I'm fine, I'm fine.
- 49:00Speaker 1: This can't happen now in this match. They had a
- 49:06Speaker 1: makeshift bar that was set up at ringside, which I
- 49:10Speaker 1: could certainly use after the last match we just talked about.
- 49:14Speaker 1: They also had giant barrels of Irish whiskey at ringside.
- 49:18Speaker 1: I'm shocked they were unbranded. They brand everything else, they
- 49:21Speaker 1: branded the tables. I'm shocked they didn't have branding fireball
- 49:26Speaker 1: whiskey branding on the side of the barrels. Shockingly, I
- 49:30Speaker 1: know this is going to be a big surprise to
- 49:31Speaker 1: some of you. But they brawled to start the match,
- 49:37Speaker 1: and so we had here the action spilling outside. Very early,
- 49:43Speaker 1: Seamus ran Rusev into the ring post. Seamus quickly grabbed
- 49:46Speaker 1: a slim gym table. Rucev, though ran Seamus into the
- 49:51Speaker 1: ring post and then grabbed a slim gym table of
- 49:53Speaker 1: his own, and he set it up next to Seamus's
- 49:55Speaker 1: slimjym table and After all of this, they took the
- 49:58Speaker 1: action back in the ring. After all that, they left
- 50:02Speaker 1: the tables out there and the action spills into the ring.
- 50:06Speaker 1: Russev hit Seamus with a kendo stick over and over
- 50:09Speaker 1: and over again. Russev then gives Seamus the ten beats.
- 50:13Speaker 1: He pulled a turnbuckle pad off ran into an Irish
- 50:16Speaker 1: curz backbreaker. Though, Seamus grabbed the kendo stick and hit
- 50:20Speaker 1: Russev with it multiple times, and then he grabbed multiple
- 50:24Speaker 1: chairs from underneath the ring. Seamus miss Russev with a
- 50:27Speaker 1: chair shot and Russev hit a heel kick only got
- 50:31Speaker 1: a one count out of it. Rusev grabbed a chair
- 50:34Speaker 1: and he started working Seamus over with it. The two
- 50:37Speaker 1: of them battled for possession of a chair. Rusev came
- 50:40Speaker 1: away with it, but then promptly ran into a running
- 50:42Speaker 1: knee strike. After that, Seamus took his own move back
- 50:45Speaker 1: and he hit Rusev with the ten beats. Russev threw
- 50:49Speaker 1: Seamus over the makeshift bar that was set up outside
- 50:52Speaker 1: the ring. Then he grabbed a barstool. Seamus though punched
- 50:56Speaker 1: Russev and gave Russev ten beats over the bar. He
- 50:59Speaker 1: tried to leave through the crowd. Russev did. Seamus, though,
- 51:02Speaker 1: stopped him and gave Russev ten beats with a schaleley.
- 51:07Speaker 1: Back inside the ring, Seamus ran Rusev into the chair
- 51:09Speaker 1: that Rusev had wedged earlier in between the ropes, and
- 51:12Speaker 1: then Seamus hit a Celtic cross, only for a two count.
- 51:16Speaker 1: Seamus set up for a broad kick. Russev rolled out
- 51:19Speaker 1: to the floor wisely, Seamus climbed up top. When he
- 51:22Speaker 1: came down, though on the floor, Russev blasted him in
- 51:26Speaker 1: the mid section with the candowstick, right across the ribs.
- 51:29Speaker 1: Russev dismantled the ring steps that were over by the
- 51:32Speaker 1: bar and slammed Seamus through the bar. I think it
- 51:36Speaker 1: was a urinagi through the bar. Back inside, Rusev locked
- 51:40Speaker 1: in the accolade, but Seamus slam Russev backwards onto a
- 51:42Speaker 1: pile of chairs. The action spilled back outside and the
- 51:46Speaker 1: two of them fought on top of the whiskey barrels. Now.
- 51:49Speaker 1: I don't know how tall the whiskey barrels were. They
- 51:52Speaker 1: were tall enough that when they were standing on top
- 51:54Speaker 1: of them, they were fairly high up there, so they
- 51:57Speaker 1: were on top of the whiskey barrels. Russev locks in
- 51:59Speaker 1: the accolade to Seamus on top of the barrels, and
- 52:03Speaker 1: they got this great shot, like a faraway camera shot
- 52:06Speaker 1: where you see all the fans in the background and
- 52:08Speaker 1: you just see them there right on top of those barrels.
- 52:11Speaker 1: It just was a really cool visual. So he had
- 52:14Speaker 1: him in the accolade. Seamus, though, worked out of it,
- 52:17Speaker 1: and then he ended up hitting white noise off the
- 52:20Speaker 1: barrels down through the two slim gym tables that were
- 52:24Speaker 1: set up earlier in the match, and so they go
- 52:27Speaker 1: crashing and burning through the two tables. Both men dragged
- 52:32Speaker 1: themselves back into the ring. The crowd was very loud
- 52:35Speaker 1: for them both. They were super into this match. BRUCEV
- 52:37Speaker 1: grabbed the Shechalley, but when he turned around, Seamus caught
- 52:40Speaker 1: him with a brokick, and you're thinking, okay, that's it.
- 52:44Speaker 1: Covers him and he kicks out. And what made it
- 52:47Speaker 1: so great is that the bro kick, after all these years,
- 52:50Speaker 1: is still one of the most protected moves in all
- 52:53Speaker 1: of wrestling. Very very few people kick out of the
- 52:57Speaker 1: bro kick. It's happened before, but it's not a regularly
- 53:00Speaker 1: Like John Cena, his attitude adjustment, right, I mean, at
- 53:04Speaker 1: some point I've probably kicked out of the attitude adjustment.
- 53:07Speaker 1: You've probably kicked out of the attitude adjustment, but you've
- 53:09Speaker 1: never kicked out of a bro kick before. So they
- 53:12Speaker 1: made it out like a big deal that Russev was
- 53:15Speaker 1: able to kick out. Russev came back and he cracked
- 53:18Speaker 1: at chiallee right across Seamus's back, almost like a knockout shot.
- 53:23Speaker 1: He shoots the half, he covers him. Seamus kicks out
- 53:26Speaker 1: at two point nine, and Russev is beside himself. He's screaming,
- 53:31Speaker 1: he can't believe it. He's just incredibly frustrated. So he
- 53:36Speaker 1: goes for the accolade, but he's using the chially across
- 53:41Speaker 1: Seamus's mouth. It's like in his mouth and he's pulling
- 53:43Speaker 1: back on it. And what ends up happening is Russev
- 53:47Speaker 1: falls backwards. I thought they were about to do a
- 53:49Speaker 1: spot where Seamus falls backwards and pins Russev. Russev's shoulders
- 53:54Speaker 1: were not down, His back was down, but not his shoulders,
- 53:57Speaker 1: but he still had the move locked in and he
- 53:59Speaker 1: had that ball across Seamus's mouth. So picture when Edge
- 54:03Speaker 1: used to break the bottom piece off of a chair
- 54:06Speaker 1: and place the bar in someone's mouth. He did it
- 54:09Speaker 1: to Roman Reins like in a cross face. That's basically
- 54:12Speaker 1: what he was doing Seamus. He's got his legs around Seamus.
- 54:15Speaker 1: Shamus ain't going nowhere, you know, He's locked in this hold.
- 54:19Speaker 1: And finally Seamus taps out. Russev wins the match, and
- 54:23Speaker 1: they claimed on commentary, Michael Cole did that that is
- 54:27Speaker 1: only the second time in Seamus's entire career that he
- 54:32Speaker 1: has tapped out, not passed out, but tapped out. The
- 54:36Speaker 1: first time that Seamus ever tapped out in the match
- 54:40Speaker 1: was actually back in the Thunderdome era and he tapped
- 54:43Speaker 1: out in the hurt lock to Bobby Lashley, which honestly,
- 54:46Speaker 1: in and of itself, is shocking to me that even
- 54:49Speaker 1: in twenty twenty one, Seamus had been doing this for
- 54:52Speaker 1: so long, well over a decade, and it was only
- 54:56Speaker 1: four years ago that he tapped out for the first time.
- 54:59Speaker 1: So this is all only the second time he's ever
- 55:01Speaker 1: tapped out in the match, doing a real solid for
- 55:04Speaker 1: his friend, because Russev is like one of his best friends,
- 55:06Speaker 1: so got no issue putting this guy over in the
- 55:10Speaker 1: strongest way possible, and it really doesn't get any stronger
- 55:13Speaker 1: than that. Easily the match of the night up until
- 55:16Speaker 1: this point, and the best of their entire series together.
- 55:19Speaker 1: I'm happy they gave these to a pl E spot.
- 55:21Speaker 1: I'm really happy they gave them a pl spot now
- 55:24Speaker 1: because this ended up being one of the best things
- 55:26Speaker 1: on the entire show. The crowd was quiet for a
- 55:30Speaker 1: while when this was over, just because it took a
- 55:34Speaker 1: while for them to start to get back up. I
- 55:36Speaker 1: mean once Scena came out, obviously they were. But it
- 55:39Speaker 1: was good that they had that gap in between the
- 55:41Speaker 1: two matches because I'm sure they needed a little come
- 55:44Speaker 1: down here. But this was as fun as you could
- 55:47Speaker 1: expect it to be. Is when it comes to these
- 55:49Speaker 1: WWE weapons matches, you kind of know what to expect,
- 55:52Speaker 1: so they made the most of it, you know. I
- 55:54Speaker 1: thought it was fun. I enjoyed it again. I thought
- 55:56Speaker 1: the visual of the accolade on top of the whiskey
- 55:59Speaker 1: barrels was really cool. Seamus always delivers in these situations.
- 56:04Speaker 1: Russev needed this because Russev has not had that one
- 56:06Speaker 1: standout match since coming back to WWE, and he's been
- 56:10Speaker 1: back for several months now, so he really needed. I
- 56:13Speaker 1: think a match like this Seamus was able to give
- 56:17Speaker 1: it to him. The win means more for him than
- 56:20Speaker 1: it would for Shamus, because Russev really needed something. The
- 56:23Speaker 1: only question now is Okay, he won. Do they have
- 56:28Speaker 1: some big push in mind for him? I don't know.
- 56:31Speaker 1: You know, the two champions on the brand are both heels,
- 56:34Speaker 1: so I don't think that's in his immediate future. So
- 56:37Speaker 1: where do you go from here with him? I mean,
- 56:38Speaker 1: you could feud him with a big name like a
- 56:40Speaker 1: Jay Uso or someone like that, but there's got to
- 56:43Speaker 1: be something in mind otherwise this goes to waste and
- 56:46Speaker 1: it doesn't mean anything like a win over Seamus in
- 56:49Speaker 1: a PL match like this and tapping him out should
- 56:52Speaker 1: have value. It should mean something, but only if you
- 56:54Speaker 1: can follow up with something meaningful. That's going to be
- 56:58Speaker 1: up to Paul Levek and what he had planned for
- 57:00Speaker 1: this guy. So I certainly hope that they have some
- 57:02Speaker 1: plan in mind for him coming out of this. Shamus
- 57:05Speaker 1: continues to be basically, you know, a gatekeeper on the
- 57:09Speaker 1: Raw brand. Hopefully he will have his story at some
- 57:12Speaker 1: point for the IC title. That's still the biggest story
- 57:16Speaker 1: that they have not done with him yet. They've kind
- 57:18Speaker 1: of danced around it and what the title means to him.
- 57:21Speaker 1: But he still has yet to win the Intercontinental Championships.
- 57:24Speaker 1: So hopefully at some point he will get his story.
- 57:27Speaker 1: As far as what Russev's next story is, we'll have
- 57:29Speaker 1: to wait until Monday and see. But he needs to
- 57:31Speaker 1: be on that show Monday night, and they have to
- 57:33Speaker 1: give us some indication of what's coming next for now.
- 57:38Speaker 1: On commentary, Wade Barrett mentioned that there was a list
- 57:44Speaker 1: recently in the New York Times technically the Athletic, but
- 57:47Speaker 1: I think the Times owns the Athletic. But it was
- 57:50Speaker 1: a list of the twenty five most impactful play by
- 57:54Speaker 1: play voices in TV history in the twenty first century,
- 57:58Speaker 1: and he put over Michael Cole. Michael Cole, just to
- 58:02Speaker 1: clarify here, is not one of the twenty five names
- 58:06Speaker 1: on that list. He is one of the basically honorable
- 58:10Speaker 1: mentions on that list. And what really struck me is
- 58:14Speaker 1: that it wasn't just Michael Cole. Now I should mention
- 58:16Speaker 1: Joe Testator is on the top twenty five list, I
- 58:19Speaker 1: believe because he's a real sports voice. I heard him
- 58:23Speaker 1: this weekend. He was doing college football, so Testatur is
- 58:26Speaker 1: on there. They mentioned that, But what really struck me
- 58:30Speaker 1: is that it wasn't just that Michael Cole was casually
- 58:32Speaker 1: mentioned by the author as like an honorable mention. It
- 58:36Speaker 1: was Jim Ross and Michael Cole, and they never mentioned
- 58:40Speaker 1: Jim Ross. And I understand that Jim Ross doesn't work
- 58:43Speaker 1: for WWE right now, and he hasn't been there in
- 58:46Speaker 1: many years, Like I understand that, but his voice is
- 58:49Speaker 1: so and will always be synonymous with WWE. Like his
- 58:55Speaker 1: most famous calls, which are some of the most famous
- 58:59Speaker 1: calls in wrestling history, are from when he worked for WWI.
- 59:05Speaker 1: He was also mentioned in that And to not even
- 59:07Speaker 1: mention his name and just completely ignore that is so
- 59:11Speaker 1: fucking petty to me. Like that really really stuck out
- 59:16Speaker 1: to me here. I'm not saying that they had to
- 59:18Speaker 1: like celebrate it, but like to just completely ignore the
- 59:23Speaker 1: fact that he was mentioned alongside Michael Cole. They really
- 59:25Speaker 1: were mentioned almost as like a tandem, like those were
- 59:28Speaker 1: the two wrestling names, you know, like on the list.
- 59:31Speaker 1: I just thought that was so fucking petty. But get
- 59:33Speaker 1: for Michael Cole. I mean, look, Michael Cole has been
- 59:35Speaker 1: doing this for a very long time, and kudos to him.
- 59:38Speaker 1: He's been there for many, many years. He's gotten his
- 59:41Speaker 1: flowers in recent years when people used to shit on
- 59:43Speaker 1: him all the time, and he's very good at what
- 59:45Speaker 1: he does. But I just thought, how can you just
- 59:48Speaker 1: completely leave out Jim Ross when he's such an important
- 59:50Speaker 1: part of the fabric of this company and some of
- 59:53Speaker 1: the most famous calls in WWE of all time, and
- 59:58Speaker 1: to not even mention the name is just ridiculous to me.
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: But after this, we had what ended up being the
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: best match on the entire show. We had John Cena
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: one on one against Logan. Paul Sina got the monster
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: reaction that you would expect here for his final appearance,
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: his final match ever in Paris, Alisha Taylor gave him
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: the greatest of all time introduction that he gets every
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: time he comes out on TV now because Mark Nash
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: was not there, so Alicia Taylor did it. She was
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: a ring announcer. Logan used his titanium fist to his advantage.
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: Early in the match, Sena fought back. He did the
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: weakest looking ten corner punches that you will ever see.
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: My god, oh my goodness. Sena tried a monkey flip.
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: Paul landed on his feet booted. Sena Logan came off
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: the middle rope with a blockbuster and then a delayed
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: vertical suit plex. He was holding I would say he
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: was holding Scena up there for a good five or
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: six seconds. I mean, he lost some mass over the years,
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: but Sena is no small man, so he dropped him
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: on the supplex only for a two count. Logan hit
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: a leaping European uppercut in the corner, and shockingly, I
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: was not expecting this. Michael Cole described it as Csorrow like.
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: I was like, come again. I was not expecting a
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: Cesorrow mentioned here on this show, especially in the same
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: week that Csorrow was main eventing the other show. It
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: was very Cesorrow like. Seena landed a series of shoulder
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: tackles and connected with a five knuckle shuffle seen a
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: lifted Paul Logan, though worked out of it. He went
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: to the apron and he followed with his version of
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: the buckshot lariat for a two count. You know they
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: were previously they were referring to it as the snapshot lariat,
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: and there was no mention of that here, so I
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: don't know if they just forgot that they had given
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: it a name, or if the name has already been dropped.
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: I mean everyone's going to call it a buckshot anyway.
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: But yeah, there there was no mention of it being
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: a snapshot lariat anymore. Guess the name didn't stick. Paul
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: went for his Paul from Grace frog splash. Seena got
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: the knees up and then he hit an attitude adjustment
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: for a near fall. Sina went for another one. Logan
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: countered into an octopus hold and we got an Antonio
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: ANOCHI mentioned here. Scena countered he sank in an stfu.
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: I believe he called it by that name. Paul got
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: to the ropes, so we got the rope break. Scena
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: followed up with a tornado DDT that earned him the
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: near fall. Logan went for the knockout shot, seen him
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: move though and delivered a shoulder tackle. Logan came back
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: and caught Seena with a zigzag for a two count.
- 1:02:44Speaker 1: Paul went for his version of a buck shot again. Sena, though,
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: caught him and planted him with a Baron Corbin esque
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: End of Days and poor Baron Corbin. You know, we
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: had Michael Cole refer to the upper cut before as
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: csorrow like, and then when Logan hit the zigzag, they
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: mentioned dob Ziggler seeing it hits the end of days.
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: No mention of end of Days, no mention of Baron Corbin,
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: poor Bishop Dyer, not even worthy of a mention. Wade
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: Barrett called it a I think it was like a
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: variation of a flatliner, only for a near fall. You
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: talk about protected moves, I mentioned the bro kick a
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: little while ago. The end of Days is one of
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: the most protected moves ever in WWE. I think only
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: one person, maybe someone after did and I just don't remember.
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: To my recollection, Drew McIntyre may well be the only
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: person to ever kick out of an end of Days,
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: and if somebody kicked out after that, there weren't very
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: many who did. That was a WrestleMania a few years ago.
- 1:03:52Speaker 1: But I remember Corbin mentioning that undertaker, I think is
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: the one who may have given him that advice, where
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: protect your finisher, you know, protect your finish and don't
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: let people just kick out, which is true. I wish
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: more people would take that advice, but that is that
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: is still one of the more protected finishing moves that
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: a wrestler has used ever. In WWE's The End of Days,
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: Sina lifted Paul, but Logan worked out of it. Went
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: to the top rope, where he landed a swanton bomb
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: and then followed that with a standing moon salt for
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: a two count. Logan hit another running uppercut. Paul went
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: for another one, he missed, and Sena slammed him. Logan
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: came up bleeding from the nose. Then we had boy,
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: you want to tell that John Cena had his working
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: shoes on here he hit An Angel's wings. I thought
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: he was going for a pedigree at first. He did
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: the double underhook and he got Logan up and he
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: held him there and then dropped him face first. So
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: we had John Cena doing the Christopher Daniels Angels wings.
- 1:04:52Speaker 1: Sena then ran it Logan. Logan countered into a pop
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: up uppercut again cesorrow like, but it didn't quite connect
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: the way he wanted it to. Yeah, he caught Sena
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: like in the chest, not really in the face. Logan
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: pulled the shoulder tackle combo, or pulled off the shoulder
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: tackle combo that Sena usually does set up for a
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: five knuckle shuffle. Logan ran the rope Scena, though, popped
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: up and grabbed him and delivered an attitude adjustment, which
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: was only good for an ear fall. Logan kicks out.
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: Sina hit a standing rana and then a code read
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: for an ear fall, and for the five thousandth time
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: in the match, or at least it felt that way,
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: John Cena lifted Logan for an attitude adjustment. Logan wiggled
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: free hit Sena with his knockout punch. It was not enough,
- 1:05:45Speaker 1: though Scena kicked out. Logan went to the top. He
- 1:05:48Speaker 1: connected with the pull from Grace quickly hauled ass to
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: the opposite corner and Seena rolled. He rolled closer to
- 1:05:57Speaker 1: that corner to accommodate him, and Logan went up. He
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: went for a second paul from Grace landed a second one.
- 1:06:05Speaker 1: Sceena kicked out. At two, Logan connected with a five
- 1:06:08Speaker 1: knuckle shuffle. He lifted Scena. Sena countered out, and then
- 1:06:12Speaker 1: he pulled off a styles clash again only four a
- 1:06:17Speaker 1: near fall. Sina went to the middle rope. He was
- 1:06:20Speaker 1: going to try for an avalanche AA. Logan shoved him off,
- 1:06:25Speaker 1: then hit a crossbody off the top. Scena caught him,
- 1:06:29Speaker 1: rolled through, got up to his feet. He placed Logan
- 1:06:33Speaker 1: on his shoulders and hit the attitude adjustment. He quickly
- 1:06:37Speaker 1: transitioned into another AA attempt. Logan slipped out at this point.
- 1:06:42Speaker 1: Now he totally is no selling the attitude adjustment that
- 1:06:44Speaker 1: he just got. He just got hit with an attitude
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: adjustment which is supposed to be seen his finish. Sina
- 1:06:49Speaker 1: went for a second one, right, Logan counters out of it.
- 1:06:52Speaker 1: You would never know he just got hit with an AA.
- 1:06:54Speaker 1: He tried, He threw a punch. I think Sena ducked
- 1:06:57Speaker 1: picked him up. Hit the second AA anyway. Apparently the
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: second one knocked him loopy, not the first one, and
- 1:07:03Speaker 1: Sina covers him and he gets the three count and
- 1:07:06Speaker 1: John Cena wins. John Cena, as I said earlier, has
- 1:07:11Speaker 1: now wrapped up the month of August, and in the
- 1:07:14Speaker 1: month of August, he has capped it off by having
- 1:07:16Speaker 1: the two best matches he has had all year, thirty
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: seven minutes against Cody Rhodes at SummerSlam. Great match. Love
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: that match, I mean it blew away there WrestleMania match
- 1:07:29Speaker 1: with a Bazuka here. A few weeks later, he comes
- 1:07:33Speaker 1: out here with Logan Paul, who does not have the
- 1:07:36Speaker 1: level of experience that a Cody Rhods does, and he
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: has a twenty six minute match that wasn't quite the
- 1:07:42Speaker 1: banger that the Cody Roads match was, but I still
- 1:07:45Speaker 1: thought it was an excellent match. And again, imagine what
- 1:07:47Speaker 1: we could have had. Imagine what we could have had
- 1:07:53Speaker 1: if the Rock was not obsessed with turning Cody Rhodes
- 1:07:55Speaker 1: heel and Triple H came up with the idea to
- 1:07:58Speaker 1: turn John Cena heel instead, to get the Rock to
- 1:08:01Speaker 1: calm down about Cody Rhads going heel, perhaps we would
- 1:08:05Speaker 1: not have ended up in this situation. Better late than never.
- 1:08:08Speaker 1: An excellent match with scene A playing his greatest hits.
- 1:08:11Speaker 1: What he was doing here was incorporating even the moves
- 1:08:14Speaker 1: that he himself was not necessarily doing. But clearly they
- 1:08:17Speaker 1: were incorporating moves from some of his past rivals like
- 1:08:21Speaker 1: Cesaro and Dov Ziggler and aj styles. Right, they were
- 1:08:25Speaker 1: sprinkled through. I don't know where that fucking angels wings
- 1:08:27Speaker 1: came from, but clearly they were sprinkling in some moves
- 1:08:33Speaker 1: from his past and pass matches that he had, and
- 1:08:36Speaker 1: he had his working shoes on. Here he went from
- 1:08:39Speaker 1: five moves of doom to a solid nine here in
- 1:08:42Speaker 1: this match. It was quite something to see. It was
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: also a trademark John Cena match. You have countless attitude
- 1:08:50Speaker 1: adjustments or attitude adjustment attempts and kickouts. It's been a
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: staple of his matches now, going back over a decade,
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: going back at least to the Rock matches. That's how
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: far back that goes. So that's just been a staple.
- 1:09:03Speaker 1: And you know, the spot calling and stuff, and if
- 1:09:06Speaker 1: you watch for it, it's all right there. You know.
- 1:09:09Speaker 1: That's always been a staple of these John Cena matches.
- 1:09:13Speaker 1: It doesn't take away from the quality though of this one.
- 1:09:16Speaker 1: Here Crab was hot for most of it. They would
- 1:09:18Speaker 1: randomly break out into song and dance and they were
- 1:09:20Speaker 1: going nuts for a lot of the near falls, and
- 1:09:23Speaker 1: there were a lot of them here. But the atmosphere
- 1:09:26Speaker 1: really did help play a role in this match. Logan, Look,
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: Logan more than held out his end of the bargain. Logan,
- 1:09:34Speaker 1: Paul is very good. Logan, Paul is very athletic. There's
- 1:09:38Speaker 1: things he can do in these matches that John Cena
- 1:09:40Speaker 1: simply cannot do. There's things that he can do in
- 1:09:43Speaker 1: these matches that John Cena couldn't do ten or fifteen
- 1:09:45Speaker 1: years ago, so he's very good at that. But you know,
- 1:09:49Speaker 1: he was where he needed to be for some of
- 1:09:51Speaker 1: the key spots. There were really no moments that stand
- 1:09:54Speaker 1: out to me on his part where he screwed something
- 1:09:59Speaker 1: up or brought the match down in some way. You know,
- 1:10:03Speaker 1: he worked with Cina and I thought the two of
- 1:10:04Speaker 1: them worked very well together. Now, when the match was over,
- 1:10:07Speaker 1: Sina went over to the young fan from Brussels. He's
- 1:10:10Speaker 1: been on all these shows, the young fan, the kid
- 1:10:13Speaker 1: from Brussels back in March when he keeled on that
- 1:10:17Speaker 1: kid in the crowd in his first heel promo. That
- 1:10:20Speaker 1: kid was on SmackDown on Friday in Leon in Leon, France,
- 1:10:25Speaker 1: and Sina went over to him. I talked about this
- 1:10:28Speaker 1: in my SmackDown review. The kid had his face buried
- 1:10:30Speaker 1: in his phone. Sena is right in front of him,
- 1:10:32Speaker 1: He's got his arm around him. Sina is staring him
- 1:10:34Speaker 1: in the face, and this kid is probably just frantically like,
- 1:10:37Speaker 1: oh I got to get to the camera. App like, dude,
- 1:10:40Speaker 1: look up, John Cena is right here. You're on live TV, bro.
- 1:10:44Speaker 1: So they had that moment because Sina went into the
- 1:10:46Speaker 1: crowd to prove to Logan Paul that you know, we
- 1:10:49Speaker 1: all have a bad day, and he wanted to go
- 1:10:52Speaker 1: over to the kid and personally apologize to him and
- 1:10:54Speaker 1: give him a hug. So that kid was back again
- 1:10:57Speaker 1: on this show, and Sina knew exactly where he was.
- 1:11:00Speaker 1: He was right there in the front row, and Sina
- 1:11:02Speaker 1: went over to him, and again this time, the kid
- 1:11:04Speaker 1: had no phote in his hand. The kid was enjoying
- 1:11:06Speaker 1: the moment, looking right into the camera, and it was
- 1:11:09Speaker 1: a nice moment. But again, I sit here and I
- 1:11:11Speaker 1: wonder who is this kid related to? Which employee that
- 1:11:14Speaker 1: works for WWE? Is this kid? Is this kid related
- 1:11:19Speaker 1: to I must know Holy planted fan, I must know
- 1:11:24Speaker 1: the answer to this question. But good for him. And
- 1:11:29Speaker 1: then he went over Sena did and he kissed his
- 1:11:31Speaker 1: wife Shay. He went over and hugged Jelly Roll and
- 1:11:37Speaker 1: post Malone, and then he got back into the ring
- 1:11:40Speaker 1: one final time to celebrate. So it was a nice
- 1:11:43Speaker 1: moment there at the end. I'm glad he won. I
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: was a little worried they might give it to low
- 1:11:48Speaker 1: just because I don't really want to see scene and
- 1:11:50Speaker 1: just lose and put everybody over for the rest of
- 1:11:52Speaker 1: this run. When you put everybody over, you get nobody over.
- 1:11:56Speaker 1: So he should lose his final I do think he
- 1:11:58Speaker 1: should lose his final match. I mean, we'll see who
- 1:12:00Speaker 1: they put him in the ring with in that final match,
- 1:12:04Speaker 1: but I think he after losing the title, you know,
- 1:12:07Speaker 1: get back to his winning ways for a little bit. Obviously,
- 1:12:10Speaker 1: he's going to be wrestling Brock at Wrestle Palooza, and
- 1:12:15Speaker 1: I don't know if Brock is just back for the
- 1:12:17Speaker 1: Sena match this year and they're going to hold off
- 1:12:19Speaker 1: for his next program and we don't see him again
- 1:12:21Speaker 1: until next year, or if he's back as full time
- 1:12:25Speaker 1: as Brock can be. If Brock is back, we still
- 1:12:27Speaker 1: don't know. Brock was not on this show. Brock was
- 1:12:30Speaker 1: never rumored for this show. There was a rumor online
- 1:12:34Speaker 1: about Brock being spotted in Paris. That was bullshit. That
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: was a photo from Canada. Recently, Brock Lesnar is not
- 1:12:40Speaker 1: scheduled to be back on SmackDown until September twelfth. September twelfth,
- 1:12:45Speaker 1: they're going to be in Norfolk, Virginia, so we have
- 1:12:48Speaker 1: one smack Down between now and then. That's the one
- 1:12:50Speaker 1: this coming Friday, I would imagine that's when Nick all
- 1:12:52Speaker 1: this will make the announcement. Do not expect to see
- 1:12:55Speaker 1: Brock back on TV until September twelfth. He is scheduled
- 1:12:58Speaker 1: for September twelfth, September nineteenth, and that would then lead
- 1:13:02Speaker 1: into September twentieth, which is Russell Palooza. So we'll have
- 1:13:06Speaker 1: to wait and see exactly what the explanation is of
- 1:13:11Speaker 1: Brock being back when and if we get to hear
- 1:13:13Speaker 1: from him. I thought we were going to get an
- 1:13:15Speaker 1: explanation for why he attacked Cody Rhodes when he feuded
- 1:13:17Speaker 1: with Cody, and we never got one, So I'm not
- 1:13:20Speaker 1: going to assume that we're going to get anything. It
- 1:13:23Speaker 1: may just be that Brock shows up and gives a
- 1:13:25Speaker 1: couple of f fives and that's about it. But it
- 1:13:27Speaker 1: sure would be nice to get some sort of explanation
- 1:13:30Speaker 1: for why now, but don't expect to see him for
- 1:13:33Speaker 1: a couple more weeks. Jackie Redmond was shown outside Seth
- 1:13:39Speaker 1: rollins locker room. Rollins walked out and Redmond brought up
- 1:13:43Speaker 1: the fact that Rollins is without his crew, and Seth said,
- 1:13:47Speaker 1: it's always two s. It's always got Bremode. Hey, at
- 1:13:53Speaker 1: least it wasn't Brie Bella with the big reveal at
- 1:13:56Speaker 1: the end of the show. How fucking awful would that
- 1:13:58Speaker 1: have been? That would have been terrible. Besseth said he's
- 1:14:04Speaker 1: always two steps ahead. The world thinks that he's at
- 1:14:07Speaker 1: a disadvantage tonight, but he asked Jackie if she remembered
- 1:14:10Speaker 1: who won the main event a WrestleMania. Rolin said that
- 1:14:13Speaker 1: he's never needed anybody and he is a multi time
- 1:14:16Speaker 1: world champion. He's the greatest in ring performer in the
- 1:14:19Speaker 1: history of the industry, he said. Rollin said he will
- 1:14:22Speaker 1: remind the world why he is a visionary, said that
- 1:14:25Speaker 1: if he can't keep the title by himself, then he
- 1:14:27Speaker 1: does not deserve to be the champion. And Michael Cole
- 1:14:31Speaker 1: back at ringside, reminded everybody that Paul Hayman and Roman
- 1:14:35Speaker 1: Reigns are both in the hospital. Bron Breaker and Bronson
- 1:14:38Speaker 1: Reed are barred from the building. They're not going to
- 1:14:41Speaker 1: be part of this match. And this match was the
- 1:14:44Speaker 1: main event. It was the four weight match for the
- 1:14:46Speaker 1: World Heavyweight Championship with Seth Rollins defending against Cmpunk, against
- 1:14:51Speaker 1: La Knight and against Jay Usso. And you know for
- 1:14:54Speaker 1: all of the awful shit that we saw in those
- 1:14:56Speaker 1: videos today about fans swarming Ria Ripley and Amos and
- 1:15:01Speaker 1: all that, on a happier note, just show that not
- 1:15:05Speaker 1: all fans are dicks. There was a video yesterday that
- 1:15:09Speaker 1: I saw of l A. Knight in a playground I
- 1:15:13Speaker 1: guess somewhere in France in Paris, playing a game of
- 1:15:18Speaker 1: pickup basketball with some fans. He was just having a
- 1:15:21Speaker 1: basketball game. Now, imagine if you would have gotten injured
- 1:15:23Speaker 1: during that game, that would have been terrible. But no,
- 1:15:25Speaker 1: he was just hanging out with some fans and playing basketball.
- 1:15:28Speaker 1: I was like, Okay, that's cool. See that's a cool moment.
- 1:15:32Speaker 1: We need more shit like that. So anyway, it was
- 1:15:37Speaker 1: La Knight coming out after Jay Usso who came out
- 1:15:42Speaker 1: first through the crowd. Then it was Punk and then
- 1:15:45Speaker 1: the champion entered last. All four men, they were sizing
- 1:15:49Speaker 1: each other up. Punk kicked j out of the ring
- 1:15:51Speaker 1: as payback from what happened on Raw. Rollin's bailed out
- 1:15:54Speaker 1: of the ring. He left Night in Punk alone. Night
- 1:15:57Speaker 1: got the better of their exchange. Rollin they'll slip back
- 1:16:00Speaker 1: in to take advantage Jay and Knight. They took turns
- 1:16:03Speaker 1: punching Rollins. Also, the fans can go back and forth
- 1:16:06Speaker 1: and chant yeat and yeah or is it yeah and yeats?
- 1:16:10Speaker 1: I don't know whichever order you want to put them in.
- 1:16:14Speaker 1: Rollins found himself surrounded by the babyfaces, so they all
- 1:16:18Speaker 1: put the boots to him. Of course, Punk and Knight
- 1:16:20Speaker 1: they couldn't get along because each man wanted to get
- 1:16:23Speaker 1: their hands on seth Rollins. Jay talked them into working together,
- 1:16:27Speaker 1: so they all took turns hitting spots on Rollins, Jay
- 1:16:30Speaker 1: and Punk. They decided to yeat Night though, thought they
- 1:16:35Speaker 1: should focus and get a table, so Punk gave Jay
- 1:16:38Speaker 1: a shove and told him to get the tables. Doing
- 1:16:42Speaker 1: his best Bubba Ray Dudley impression. Jay did help Punk
- 1:16:47Speaker 1: get a table before then superkicking him. Jay also superkick
- 1:16:51Speaker 1: Knight before going after Rollins in the crowd. They all
- 1:16:55Speaker 1: wound up back in the ring, traded spots until Rollin's
- 1:16:58Speaker 1: hit Punk with a pedigree, Rollin hit Night with a
- 1:17:00Speaker 1: buckle bomb for two, Jay with a frog splash for
- 1:17:03Speaker 1: another near fall. Then it was Night's time to shine
- 1:17:07Speaker 1: and he hit moves on all three men. It was
- 1:17:09Speaker 1: Punk's turn next, He got to do a tower of
- 1:17:11Speaker 1: doom Spot. He brought down La Night and Jay Usso
- 1:17:15Speaker 1: off the top. Moments later, Night spotted Punk on the apron,
- 1:17:20Speaker 1: and Punk I think he was looking. I don't know
- 1:17:22Speaker 1: if he was looking down at somebody on the ground
- 1:17:24Speaker 1: or looking into the crowd, but he's on the apron
- 1:17:26Speaker 1: and he's got his back turned and he just can't
- 1:17:29Speaker 1: help himself. So Night rushes over and he knocks them.
- 1:17:33Speaker 1: Punk off the apron and Punk is a slim gym
- 1:17:35Speaker 1: table on the outside. Punk falls off the apron. He
- 1:17:39Speaker 1: lands on the slim gym table, but he bounces off
- 1:17:43Speaker 1: of it. The table breaks. I don't know what these
- 1:17:46Speaker 1: fucking tables are made of. Whatever it is, it's the
- 1:17:49Speaker 1: exact opposite of these new announced desks. So the table
- 1:17:52Speaker 1: broke right down the middle, but again it was more
- 1:17:55Speaker 1: like Punk kind of bounced off of it and then
- 1:17:57Speaker 1: he landed on the floor, basically the same thing Punk
- 1:18:00Speaker 1: had done to La Knight on Raw and Knight shrugged
- 1:18:03Speaker 1: it off, shrugged his shoulders just like Punk did to him.
- 1:18:07Speaker 1: Hit rollins with a bft, Jay broke up the cover.
- 1:18:10Speaker 1: Knight repeatedly bound Jay's head off the announced table before
- 1:18:13Speaker 1: doing the same to Seth Rollins. Knight then placed Rollins
- 1:18:16Speaker 1: on top of the French announced desk, and he looks
- 1:18:19Speaker 1: up like he's Logan Paul. He's gonna go to the
- 1:18:21Speaker 1: top row, and he's significantly older than Logan Paul, but
- 1:18:25Speaker 1: damn it, he's going up top. So he climbs up
- 1:18:28Speaker 1: to the top row and Jay usso briefly gets up
- 1:18:31Speaker 1: on the apron to try to stop him. Knight kicks
- 1:18:33Speaker 1: him away, but that momentary distraction gives Seth Rollins all
- 1:18:36Speaker 1: the time he needs to roll off the desk just
- 1:18:39Speaker 1: as La Knight comes flying off with this diving elbow drop,
- 1:18:43Speaker 1: and he took a wicked bump through the announced desk.
- 1:18:46Speaker 1: It was a rough bump, it was It was honestly
- 1:18:49Speaker 1: the biggest bump of the entire match. And La Knight
- 1:18:52Speaker 1: just crashed and burned through that announced table and that
- 1:18:56Speaker 1: was pretty much it for La Knight in this match.
- 1:18:58Speaker 1: He did not have another offensive for the rest of
- 1:19:01Speaker 1: this match. Jay went for a spear on Seth, but
- 1:19:04Speaker 1: as he flew in, Rollins kind of jumped up and
- 1:19:07Speaker 1: grabbed him in a pedigree position and dropped him with
- 1:19:10Speaker 1: a pedigree covered him. Jay kicked out. Jay managed to
- 1:19:14Speaker 1: make a comeback. He hit an USO splash. Punk though
- 1:19:17Speaker 1: broke up the cover with an elbow drop. Punk hit
- 1:19:20Speaker 1: Jay with the GTS as he covered Jay usso though
- 1:19:23Speaker 1: here comes seth. He flies in with a stomp and
- 1:19:26Speaker 1: he stomps on Punk's head, goes for the pin, only
- 1:19:30Speaker 1: gets a near fall out of it. Rollins begins screaming
- 1:19:33Speaker 1: at Punk about I hate you, I hate your family.
- 1:19:38Speaker 1: Rollins then hit curb stumps to Jay. He went over
- 1:19:42Speaker 1: to where La Knight was laying in the rubble of
- 1:19:45Speaker 1: the table on all fours, hit a stomp on him.
- 1:19:49Speaker 1: Not that he was getting back into the match anyway,
- 1:19:51Speaker 1: but now you knew he was done for the night,
- 1:19:54Speaker 1: so that was it for La Night. Back inside, Rollins
- 1:19:58Speaker 1: places Punk's head in between a chair and he goes
- 1:20:01Speaker 1: for a stomp. Punk, though avoids it, and he manages
- 1:20:05Speaker 1: to hit a GTS and Rollins falls backwards into the ropes,
- 1:20:10Speaker 1: bounces off the ropes right back onto Punk's shoulders and
- 1:20:15Speaker 1: Punk is gonna set up for one more go to sleep,
- 1:20:18Speaker 1: and he's taking his time, and the camera is kind
- 1:20:21Speaker 1: of tight on CM Punk and I'm thinking, okay, there
- 1:20:25Speaker 1: might well be a new member there might be a
- 1:20:27Speaker 1: fourth member of the vision here coming out? Who's it
- 1:20:29Speaker 1: going to be? Who from NXTA, Maybe Who's it going
- 1:20:32Speaker 1: to be? Who's coming out here? And Punk is standing
- 1:20:35Speaker 1: there and he's looking straight ahead and he's talking shit,
- 1:20:37Speaker 1: and I'm like, just do the fucking move, bro, But
- 1:20:39Speaker 1: then you see somebody roll into the ring cloaked in
- 1:20:43Speaker 1: all black, like an all black hoodie with a hood
- 1:20:46Speaker 1: can't really see who it is, and this person delivers
- 1:20:49Speaker 1: a low blow to see him Punk, and then they
- 1:20:53Speaker 1: reveal themselves to be Becky Lynch. Rollins then stumps Punk's
- 1:20:58Speaker 1: head onto the chair and he pins him to retain
- 1:21:01Speaker 1: the World Heavyweight Championship twenty five minutes into this. Maybe
- 1:21:05Speaker 1: was actually just shy of the length of the John
- 1:21:09Speaker 1: Cena Logan Paul match. Rollins and Becky then kiss and
- 1:21:14Speaker 1: they celebrate their victory as the show goes off the air. Well,
- 1:21:19Speaker 1: at least La Knight did not take the losing fall.
- 1:21:22Speaker 1: I thought Knight was going to take the losing fall.
- 1:21:23Speaker 1: Other people thought that Jay Usso was going to take
- 1:21:25Speaker 1: the losing fall. I didn't think it would be Punk,
- 1:21:28Speaker 1: just because Punk already got pinned at SummerSlam this month.
- 1:21:31Speaker 1: But they went with Cem Punk, so at least La
- 1:21:34Speaker 1: Knight got spare. He lost on Raw Monday Night. It
- 1:21:36Speaker 1: would have been fucking terrible if he would have come
- 1:21:38Speaker 1: out here and got pinned again. I didn't expect him
- 1:21:41Speaker 1: to win the championship, but at least don't let the
- 1:21:44Speaker 1: guy take the losing fall again. Punk takes another l
- 1:21:49Speaker 1: from Seth Rawlins, which at this point it just feels
- 1:21:52Speaker 1: inevitable that he's going to be the one to beat
- 1:21:54Speaker 1: Rollins for the world champion. It just feels that way, right,
- 1:21:57Speaker 1: And maybe it doesn't have to be Rawlins, but it
- 1:22:00Speaker 1: is inevitable at this point that this man is going
- 1:22:03Speaker 1: to have to get his payoff from all of these
- 1:22:07Speaker 1: screw jobs and all of these losses. It probably will
- 1:22:10Speaker 1: come at WrestleMania. The match itself, some people might have
- 1:22:14Speaker 1: this as their match of the show or one of
- 1:22:16Speaker 1: the best matches in the show. The match was okay.
- 1:22:20Speaker 1: I was not a big fan of it. It didn't
- 1:22:22Speaker 1: do anything for me, I'm sorry, especially for like a
- 1:22:26Speaker 1: big pl main event. The crowd was quiet for large
- 1:22:29Speaker 1: portions of it, too, so there were definitely parts of
- 1:22:32Speaker 1: this match that the crowd sounded kind of kind of
- 1:22:35Speaker 1: bored by and it being the main event. That's not
- 1:22:39Speaker 1: obviously a great thing. It just never felt like it
- 1:22:41Speaker 1: got out of first gear for most of it. It
- 1:22:46Speaker 1: really should have been just Rollins against Punk if we're
- 1:22:48Speaker 1: being honest here, especially at Punk was going to be
- 1:22:50Speaker 1: the one to take the losing fall anyway, That's what
- 1:22:53Speaker 1: it should have been. Should have just gone ahead and
- 1:22:56Speaker 1: just done Seth Rollins against CM Punk and been done
- 1:22:58Speaker 1: with it, but they felt compelled to throw the other
- 1:23:00Speaker 1: two guys into it. I like the pairing of Becky
- 1:23:05Speaker 1: and Seth on TV. Obviously they make a good pair
- 1:23:08Speaker 1: off TV. The last time we saw them as an
- 1:23:11Speaker 1: on screen pairing, it was an absolute disaster and it
- 1:23:15Speaker 1: actually turned a lot of fans against them. The way
- 1:23:18Speaker 1: that Vince did it as baby Faces, it was so forced,
- 1:23:20Speaker 1: it was so corny. It just didn't work. This is different,
- 1:23:24Speaker 1: you know. Now they're heels. And I think that Becky,
- 1:23:27Speaker 1: if she were to become a regular part of this faction.
- 1:23:31Speaker 1: And when I say regular, I mean just a regular
- 1:23:34Speaker 1: member going forward, you know, as long as the vision
- 1:23:36Speaker 1: is a thing, she should be part of the group.
- 1:23:39Speaker 1: I like that idea. I would be okay with that
- 1:23:41Speaker 1: I think I would add Becky Lynch as a permanent
- 1:23:44Speaker 1: member of this group. Whether she stays a permanent member
- 1:23:47Speaker 1: or not remains to be seen. But one thing is
- 1:23:49Speaker 1: very clear. When Punk came out to the ring, it
- 1:23:53Speaker 1: was audible, you know. He mentioned April, and he mentioned
- 1:23:56Speaker 1: Larry Right doing this for you and bringing the gold home.
- 1:24:00Speaker 1: And then towards the end of the match, when Seth
- 1:24:02Speaker 1: was just completely frustrated and just he stomped him and
- 1:24:04Speaker 1: Punk kicked out and he couldn't beat this guy, he
- 1:24:06Speaker 1: starts going off about I hate you and I hate
- 1:24:09Speaker 1: your family, and then the very next thing we see
- 1:24:12Speaker 1: is Seth's family, his wife come out to save the day,
- 1:24:15Speaker 1: and Punk ends up getting screwed yet again, as he
- 1:24:19Speaker 1: was at WrestleMania, as he was at summerslim fucked over
- 1:24:22Speaker 1: again by Seth Rawlins And without telling you, they basically
- 1:24:28Speaker 1: want you to believe that this is going to pave
- 1:24:32Speaker 1: the way for the return of aj Lee, because how
- 1:24:34Speaker 1: could it not. How could any rational person watching this
- 1:24:38Speaker 1: not think, hey, maybe this means that aj Lee is
- 1:24:42Speaker 1: coming back. So if ever, there was a time where
- 1:24:45Speaker 1: it felt like, holy shit, this might really happen, because
- 1:24:49Speaker 1: aj Lee has a lot of fans out there who
- 1:24:51Speaker 1: have been dying to see her come back to WWE
- 1:24:53Speaker 1: for a very long time. So it may not mean
- 1:24:56Speaker 1: something to you, or it might. But even if it
- 1:24:58Speaker 1: doesn't mean something to you, if she was to come back,
- 1:25:01Speaker 1: if they hit her music and she was to come back,
- 1:25:03Speaker 1: that would be a big fucking deal. And I don't
- 1:25:06Speaker 1: think that they would tease it this much and do
- 1:25:09Speaker 1: something that would make it so obvious in people's heads
- 1:25:12Speaker 1: that hey, we might actually get this without actually doing it,
- 1:25:16Speaker 1: because that would that would just be mean. Okay, that
- 1:25:19Speaker 1: would just be a mean thing to do. And it's
- 1:25:22Speaker 1: one thing if AJ just doesn't want to come back.
- 1:25:26Speaker 1: Up to this point, she hasn't wanted to come back,
- 1:25:28Speaker 1: or else she would have been back by now, we
- 1:25:29Speaker 1: would have seen her in the Royal Rumble one of
- 1:25:31Speaker 1: these years. But to do it in the way they
- 1:25:34Speaker 1: did it, it seems pretty obvious to me that there's
- 1:25:37Speaker 1: a very good chance we're going to get her back.
- 1:25:39Speaker 1: And then you could do a mixed tag match, you know,
- 1:25:40Speaker 1: you could do Seth and Becky against Punk and AJ.
- 1:25:43Speaker 1: You know, I don't know, I don't know when I mean,
- 1:25:45Speaker 1: they got a ple coming up in a few weeks,
- 1:25:48Speaker 1: you know, Wrestle Palusa, because I was thinking about this,
- 1:25:50Speaker 1: like Seth is gonna win here, who does he defend against? Next?
- 1:25:55Speaker 1: Do you just you stick with Punk? How long are
- 1:25:57Speaker 1: you gonna do this for? I would get away from
- 1:26:00Speaker 1: it for a while and then circle back around to
- 1:26:03Speaker 1: it if that's the plan, Let's say for the Rumble
- 1:26:05Speaker 1: or for WrestleMania. You can't just do Seth in Punk
- 1:26:08Speaker 1: every fucking month for the rest of the year. So
- 1:26:11Speaker 1: if not Punk, and they've already done jay Us, so
- 1:26:14Speaker 1: they've already done l a Night, Well, then who else? Right?
- 1:26:18Speaker 1: Aj Styles is fighting for the Intercontinental title, He's challenging
- 1:26:22Speaker 1: Dom tomorrow for the championship, so it's not gonna be him.
- 1:26:26Speaker 1: There's no other obvious person, you know, Gunther's still out
- 1:26:29Speaker 1: gun there's a heel anyway, but Gunther's out right. He
- 1:26:32Speaker 1: had that nasal injury or whatever it was. So it's
- 1:26:36Speaker 1: just it's not obvious to me who that next you
- 1:26:39Speaker 1: know person is gonna be anyway, So like, what match
- 1:26:42Speaker 1: do you do with Seth? Well, maybe he doesn't defend
- 1:26:45Speaker 1: the championship at all. Maybe that's how we get a
- 1:26:47Speaker 1: tag team match. It would make sense, and it would
- 1:26:50Speaker 1: be a very big attraction that they could put up, because, look,
- 1:26:53Speaker 1: they're going to load up that first ESPN show. It's
- 1:26:55Speaker 1: not just Brock and seeing it. They're gonna want to
- 1:26:57Speaker 1: come up with as many attractions as they can. Shock
- 1:27:00Speaker 1: me if we find out I'm Raw tomorrow night that
- 1:27:02Speaker 1: we're not gonna get a new women's champion crowned until
- 1:27:05Speaker 1: September twenty. They may put it off until then for
- 1:27:07Speaker 1: all we know. So they're gonna want to load that
- 1:27:10Speaker 1: first ESPN show up as much as possible. Are we
- 1:27:15Speaker 1: looking at a brock lesnar return and an aj Lee
- 1:27:18Speaker 1: return on the same show? Very possible. But I like
- 1:27:22Speaker 1: the Parry, I like the pairing, and look, Paul Hayman
- 1:27:25Speaker 1: if he's in the hospital. I don't think having Becky
- 1:27:28Speaker 1: is as one of the de facto mouthpieces of this
- 1:27:31Speaker 1: new group is a bad idea. I know she got
- 1:27:34Speaker 1: herself in some trouble on Monday with the Ozzy Osbourne comments.
- 1:27:39Speaker 1: I mean I wasn't offended by it. I didn't really
- 1:27:41Speaker 1: see what the big deal was. I by and large
- 1:27:45Speaker 1: liked the work you know that Becky has done since
- 1:27:48Speaker 1: she's come back, so I'm in favor of aating her
- 1:27:51Speaker 1: to the group and we'll see what happens as far
- 1:27:54Speaker 1: as the aj Lee stuff is concerned. But for me,
- 1:27:56Speaker 1: this was a two match show, not the main event.
- 1:28:00Speaker 1: On seeing a Logan Paul, Seamus and Russev. Those are
- 1:28:02Speaker 1: the two best matches on the show. Everything else to
- 1:28:06Speaker 1: me pretty average stuff. The Peacock era of PLS ends
- 1:28:12Speaker 1: with a pretty solid thumbs in the middle effort. If
- 1:28:16Speaker 1: I had to classify it one way or the other,
- 1:28:18Speaker 1: for me, it would be somewhere in the middle. Let's
- 1:28:20Speaker 1: take a look at the Twitter pole though, see what
- 1:28:22Speaker 1: you guys think. Report card style, ABC and D. What
- 1:28:26Speaker 1: did you think of Clash in Paris? Twenty six point
- 1:28:30Speaker 1: five percent thumbs I'm still doing thumbs Twenty six point
- 1:28:33Speaker 1: five percent give it an A grade, forty four percent
- 1:28:37Speaker 1: give it a B, seventeen percent give it a C,
- 1:28:41Speaker 1: and twelve percent give it a D. That is with
- 1:28:45Speaker 1: seventeen hundred votes in count. Now we have a poll
- 1:28:47Speaker 1: in the YouTube chat. This is a thumbs up, thumbs
- 1:28:50Speaker 1: in the middle, thumbs down. So we got another eleven
- 1:28:54Speaker 1: hundred votes, so close to three thousand votes total. Here
- 1:28:59Speaker 1: forty nine nine percent thumbs up thirty seven percent thumbs
- 1:29:02Speaker 1: in the middle, fourteen percent thumbs down. Today's episode is
- 1:29:06Speaker 1: sponsored by Hymns. It's an experience a lot of men
- 1:29:10Speaker 1: are terrified of. They look in the mirror one day
- 1:29:12Speaker 1: and they notice their hair is starting to thin. It
- 1:29:15Speaker 1: doesn't happen at the same age for everyone. For some
- 1:29:17Speaker 1: it happens earlier than others. But maybe it runs in
- 1:29:20Speaker 1: your family. Maybe it's a hereditary thing. There are lots
- 1:29:22Speaker 1: of reasons that it happens. But you see it and
- 1:29:25Speaker 1: you think, well, that's it. My life is over. It's
- 1:29:29Speaker 1: baseball hats for me from now on. Seriously, do you
- 1:29:32Speaker 1: know how many men are walking around right now with
- 1:29:34Speaker 1: a Mets hat on their head who probably couldn't even
- 1:29:36Speaker 1: name three players on the entire team. They just need
- 1:29:39Speaker 1: an excuse to cover up on top. But guys, you
- 1:29:42Speaker 1: don't need to live your life that way. It happens
- 1:29:44Speaker 1: way more than you think, and there is a way
- 1:29:46Speaker 1: to reverse the problem. It really works with Hymns. You
- 1:29:50Speaker 1: can start regrowing your hair and as little as three

- 1:31:09Speaker 1: important safety information. It's tough, though, it really is, like
- 1:31:14Speaker 1: whether he defends at wrestled Palooza or Crown Jewel. Who
- 1:31:20Speaker 1: is it against Roman's gone for a while. Who does
- 1:31:25Speaker 1: he defend that championship again? Who is the next obvious
- 1:31:27Speaker 1: name in line for seth rawlins, assuming it's not Punk,
- 1:31:35Speaker 1: I don't know. I don't know who that name is.
- 1:31:45Speaker 1: Let's go through your super chats here. I see we're
- 1:31:49Speaker 1: eight out of fifteen on the bonus goal in the chat.
- 1:31:58Speaker 1: Oh Man Clash in Paris coming to the end very quickly.
- 1:32:02Speaker 1: Of these international shows. We have a two pm start
- 1:32:06Speaker 1: time Eastern for RAW tomorrow. Just be aware of that.
- 1:32:09Speaker 1: I'll be live at eight just like I was tonight
- 1:32:12Speaker 1: eight pm Eastern for the Raw review. But after that
- 1:32:15Speaker 1: we're back to normal. They're back on US soil, so
- 1:32:19Speaker 1: it'll be back to normal. As far as the scheduling
- 1:32:22Speaker 1: of these shows, it was both of them too, was
- 1:32:25Speaker 1: WWE and AW. They went international around the same time.
- 1:32:30Speaker 1: First one that came in first few super chats from
- 1:32:34Speaker 1: our friend Dried Chicken Without Flavor says he was watching
- 1:32:38Speaker 1: AW Collision over Clash in Paris today, says, by the way,
- 1:32:42Speaker 1: FTR wanted all of the smoke with the Philly crowd,
- 1:32:45Speaker 1: old school heel heat Becky Lynch tells everyone you're here,
- 1:32:54Speaker 1: There's nothing I fear, and I know that my heart
- 1:32:56Speaker 1: will go on the vision, and Paul Hayman joins in
- 1:32:59Speaker 1: and also tells everyone one will stay forever this way,
- 1:33:02Speaker 1: safe in our heart. A little Selene Dion, I see,
- 1:33:05Speaker 1: really a little Celeine Dion for Terrible dry Chicken. Did
- 1:33:09Speaker 1: Night Punk and Jay beat up Rawlins? He asked before
- 1:33:13Speaker 1: the main event even went on. They did, but not enough, apparently,
- 1:33:18Speaker 1: because they were still unable to win completely inept they
- 1:33:23Speaker 1: went after each other too much, and they softened each
- 1:33:27Speaker 1: other up just enough for seth Rawlins to pull out
- 1:33:29Speaker 1: the win. Never learned their lesson. Holliday won ninety seven,
- 1:33:35Speaker 1: says Hey Solo, hope they give Balor another world title
- 1:33:38Speaker 1: run in the next year or so. It's crazy that
- 1:33:40Speaker 1: he never held the gold since his one day reign
- 1:33:42Speaker 1: in twenty sixteen. People would say the same thing about
- 1:33:46Speaker 1: Kevin Owens. The only reason Kevin Owens even had that
- 1:33:52Speaker 1: run was because Balor got hurt. Do I think Balor's
- 1:33:55Speaker 1: getting the world title run in the next year. I
- 1:33:57Speaker 1: don't Dry Chicken says, uh boy, he's just singing to himself.
- 1:34:08Speaker 1: Becky Lynch told Seth Rollins, because I'm your lady and
- 1:34:10Speaker 1: you are my man, whenever you reach for me, I'm
- 1:34:13Speaker 1: gonna do all that I can. You need to come
- 1:34:15Speaker 1: up with some questions, brother, That's what you need to do.
- 1:34:20Speaker 1: Robbie h La Night is the second winningest superstar in
- 1:34:23Speaker 1: twenty twenty five. Hard to believe the way he is booked.
- 1:34:29Speaker 1: Is that a real stat he's the winningest superstar in
- 1:34:32Speaker 1: twenty twenty five? He has nothing to show for it.
- 1:34:42Speaker 1: Seth officially has his Stephanie McMahon Helmsley. They're gonna call
- 1:34:47Speaker 1: it the man's vision. I bet the man's vision. I
- 1:34:54Speaker 1: don't know. I mean again, I don't Whatever they call it,
- 1:34:57Speaker 1: they can call it. But I like the pairing. I
- 1:34:59Speaker 1: like adding heard to the faction full time. I'm for it.
- 1:35:09Speaker 1: I'm okay with it. Dry Chickens says, what do Puff
- 1:35:16Speaker 1: Daddy and Peppy Lapew have in common? Can't stop? Won't stop?
- 1:35:20Speaker 1: Pick one French fries, French toast or French kiss French fries,
- 1:35:25Speaker 1: Fuck everything else. Magnificent Matt says, have you seen any
- 1:35:30Speaker 1: of these great HBO shows Six Feet Under, Entourage or
- 1:35:33Speaker 1: Eastbound and Down. I've seen episodes of six Feet Under.
- 1:35:39Speaker 1: I never watched the entire series. The other two I
- 1:35:41Speaker 1: have not watched, although I will say I have not
- 1:35:45Speaker 1: seen Game of Thrones. I have not seen that one.
- 1:35:49Speaker 1: Venom Kitetsu Americano against Tonga Loa for the twenty four
- 1:35:53Speaker 1: to seven titles should main event WrestleMania would put butts
- 1:35:56Speaker 1: in seats and really move the needle well, more like
- 1:36:03Speaker 1: sticking the needle in the arm is more like it.
- 1:36:07Speaker 1: Arabian Night. WWE is going to continue this never ending
- 1:36:10Speaker 1: punkin Rollins feud until the Royal rumble. You say the
- 1:36:14Speaker 1: Royal rumble, I say probably WrestleMania. Also, five months in
- 1:36:18Speaker 1: and seven plees, Alistair Black still has not been on one.
- 1:36:22Speaker 1: Has his return been a bust so far? Yes it has.
- 1:36:28Speaker 1: I don't think that they're trying to bury him. I
- 1:36:31Speaker 1: think that they probably will push him soon to something
- 1:36:36Speaker 1: a little bit more. But so far, yes, it's been
- 1:36:37Speaker 1: a bust. Bender mc simpson, whoever created the logo for
- 1:36:45Speaker 1: this pay per view, should be fired. How do you
- 1:36:48Speaker 1: not have the Eiffel Tower as either the L or
- 1:36:50Speaker 1: the A in Clash in Paris, they should have had
- 1:36:55Speaker 1: you as the designer. I didn't like the I didn't
- 1:36:58Speaker 1: like the overall artwork for this show to be in with.
- 1:37:01Speaker 1: I know what they were going for, but I think
- 1:37:05Speaker 1: it's some of the weakest they've had all year. Honestly,
- 1:37:08Speaker 1: I don't know. I just don't find it to be
- 1:37:10Speaker 1: visually appealing. Corey Blake with the ten dollars, super chat, Hey,
- 1:37:17Speaker 1: Solom monster, awesome job as always. We all know montees
- 1:37:20Speaker 1: Ford has top singles written over him, but I think
- 1:37:23Speaker 1: monster heel version of Dawkins can work as well. What
- 1:37:26Speaker 1: are your thoughts? I think that out of a monster heel,
- 1:37:31Speaker 1: I think heal version of Dawkins can work. That's he's
- 1:37:34Speaker 1: not a top heel. He's not a top heel. But
- 1:37:37Speaker 1: I think a heel version of Angelo Dawkins could work. Yes,
- 1:37:40Speaker 1: I do. We've got Prince Vegeta. They should have had
- 1:37:49Speaker 1: Shamus win that match. Russev barely gets a reaction. His
- 1:37:53Speaker 1: return has been a flop. Him and Alistair Black both.
- 1:37:56Speaker 1: I hope Seamus wins the IC title. Don't know if
- 1:37:59Speaker 1: the h Man do it. The h man will do it.
- 1:38:02Speaker 1: I think they're well aware of the fact that that's
- 1:38:05Speaker 1: something that needs to happen at some point, but they're
- 1:38:07Speaker 1: just gonna take their time with it. I mean, that
- 1:38:09Speaker 1: could be a WrestleMania moment. I don't see it happening soon,
- 1:38:14Speaker 1: but it could be a WrestleMania forty two, WrestleMania forty
- 1:38:17Speaker 1: three moment. It'll happen. I have faith it'll happen. I mean,
- 1:38:24Speaker 1: that story is just such a slam dunk, such a layup.
- 1:38:32Speaker 1: Bender says Logan gave Seena his best match in years.
- 1:38:35Speaker 1: It should have been five to ten minutes shorter. I
- 1:38:37Speaker 1: hate that they didn't mention Seena hitting the end of days. Yeah,
- 1:38:42Speaker 1: I mean, I enjoyed the match with Cody More. I
- 1:38:44Speaker 1: thought that was the better match, but it was still excellent,
- 1:38:52Speaker 1: still a great match. Jeremy Rose in my voice, thank
- 1:39:02Speaker 1: god Nicky didn't win. Thank god Nicky did not win.
- 1:39:15Speaker 1: Bender Mick Simpson also, let's go Phillies. Yes, let's go
- 1:39:19Speaker 1: into the wood Chipper. I agree. Jeremy Roe says, Nicky
- 1:39:23Speaker 1: thinks she's the Hogan of women's wrestling in terms of
- 1:39:26Speaker 1: popularizing it. Trailblazing or whatever term they like to use.
- 1:39:29Speaker 1: But she has no impact then or now and needs
- 1:39:32Speaker 1: to go away. Please. So Jeremy is no fan of
- 1:39:36Speaker 1: Nicky Bella? What about Bree You're a fan of Brie Bella.
- 1:39:41Speaker 1: You're a fan of Bree Cheese, Michael Games, Wrestle Palooza
- 1:39:46Speaker 1: or Survivor series, Seth and Becky against punkin a j book,
- 1:39:49Speaker 1: It guaranteed feels like it feels like it. But I
- 1:39:55Speaker 1: think they're gonna want to load up that first ESPN
- 1:39:57Speaker 1: show as much as possible. That would be one way
- 1:40:00Speaker 1: to do it. Do you want to have attractions on
- 1:40:02Speaker 1: that show? I mean seeing a brock is already an attraction,
- 1:40:06Speaker 1: you know, for some not for everybody. That would certainly
- 1:40:11Speaker 1: be one that you could add to the lineup. Alexander
- 1:40:14Speaker 1: with the nine to ninety nine, you would think all
- 1:40:17Speaker 1: the shit that Roxanne went through with her stalker, the
- 1:40:19Speaker 1: wwe would have had the girls surrounded by security. Wwe
- 1:40:23Speaker 1: should be held responsible if something bad happens. I just
- 1:40:27Speaker 1: think they need to, you know, look very closely what's
- 1:40:33Speaker 1: been going on, and at least for certain people, take
- 1:40:38Speaker 1: the necessary measures to protect them when they're on the
- 1:40:40Speaker 1: rug for a company that is making money hand over
- 1:40:44Speaker 1: fucking fist in the way that they are making more
- 1:40:46Speaker 1: money now than they've ever made before. They can afford it,
- 1:40:51Speaker 1: Boomerang with all that TKO money, there's no excuse giving
- 1:40:55Speaker 1: their star. There you go, giving their star security detail
- 1:40:58Speaker 1: everywhere from the airports to walking the stre like these
- 1:41:00Speaker 1: big time musicians get. You'll never see this with Beyonce, yeah,
- 1:41:08Speaker 1: or Taylor Swift. They mentioned her tonight too. They mentioned
- 1:41:12Speaker 1: the fact that they topped the gate record in that building.
- 1:41:15Speaker 1: They topped Taylor Swift last year, and everybody cheered, yay,
- 1:41:23Speaker 1: we did that, little baby fire pan to thirty five
- 1:41:26Speaker 1: months of membership. There is a cover of Brave's theme
- 1:41:29Speaker 1: Live in Fear by Suplex Sound. Give it a listen.
- 1:41:33Speaker 1: It's very, very good. I can't believe it's been two
- 1:41:35Speaker 1: years since Bray died. It has been too It doesn't
- 1:41:40Speaker 1: feel like two years, does it, But it has been
- 1:41:44Speaker 1: two years. It's crazy, Alexander. On top of everything, Rhea
- 1:41:49Speaker 1: admitted on Chris van Vliet that she has anxiety with
- 1:41:52Speaker 1: large crowds surrounding her not too long ago, and then
- 1:41:54Speaker 1: this video happens. Yeah, I mean they're just they're tempting
- 1:42:00Speaker 1: by not taking some sort of action. Rhea is truly
- 1:42:03Speaker 1: one of the biggest stars in the entire company. I mean,
- 1:42:08Speaker 1: there's no reason that there should not be some security
- 1:42:11Speaker 1: detail with her at all times when she's just sort
- 1:42:15Speaker 1: of out and about like that. Jack Davis almost four
- 1:42:19Speaker 1: hours for six matches. Thank god they don't do ten
- 1:42:22Speaker 1: to twelve like aw, yeah, thank god for that. GMB.
- 1:42:30Speaker 1: What fascinates you about a tes Bianca heel pairing. I
- 1:42:34Speaker 1: just think they both have a really good heel run
- 1:42:39Speaker 1: in them, and putting them together as sort of this
- 1:42:42Speaker 1: heel power couple I think could work. I mean I've
- 1:42:48Speaker 1: been saying that for years. It's not like a new thing.
- 1:42:50Speaker 1: I've said this before. I just think it could really
- 1:42:54Speaker 1: I think it could work. I think they would play
- 1:42:55Speaker 1: off each other very well, and I think it could work.
- 1:43:01Speaker 1: And if they do it and it doesn't, I'll be
- 1:43:02Speaker 1: the first to admit that I was wrong. But I
- 1:43:04Speaker 1: think it could work. Uh. Nash DTV. After last week's
- 1:43:07Speaker 1: Sound of I checked out your Michael Jackson rant. Now
- 1:43:11Speaker 1: you're going back in the vault. Huh you're going back
- 1:43:15Speaker 1: aways with that one? You're Michael Jackson rant avoided for
- 1:43:20Speaker 1: years as a big MJ fan. I don't agree with
- 1:43:25Speaker 1: all points, but I found it quite fair. Yeah, I
- 1:43:29Speaker 1: mean you found it quite fair because it's less of
- 1:43:30Speaker 1: a might it's not. Really. It's kind of wrong, frankly
- 1:43:35Speaker 1: for people to call it a Michael Jackson rant. It's
- 1:43:37Speaker 1: less of Michael Jackson rant and more rant about the
- 1:43:39Speaker 1: media coverage and the media circus around his death. That's
- 1:43:43Speaker 1: really what it was about. Everyone said, oh, it's Michael
- 1:43:46Speaker 1: Jackson rant. It's really not. You actually listen to it.
- 1:43:53Speaker 1: The real cso too. To me, it's crazy. They haven't
- 1:43:55Speaker 1: named Logan's buckshot lariat the pall shot lariat. It's right there,
- 1:43:59Speaker 1: the pall Shot. I'm sorry, brother, that's a terrible name. Sorry,
- 1:44:09Speaker 1: Libido Bell, thank you for the twenty five. I was
- 1:44:13Speaker 1: gifted a crochet squid from a beautiful coworker with a
- 1:44:17Speaker 1: pink afro. She made it herself, spent five hours on it.
- 1:44:23Speaker 1: Showed my gratitude. Didn't secure the digits. I hope I
- 1:44:26Speaker 1: didn't fumble. I loved this squid. Maybe she's playing a
- 1:44:33Speaker 1: game with you. Maybe she's playing a squid game. Very possible.
- 1:44:41Speaker 1: I'm just saying bass Bear as Seamus gave Russev ten beats,
- 1:44:50Speaker 1: his back was all beat was beat red. He posted
- 1:44:53Speaker 1: a picture online of the aftermath. He was all bruised
- 1:44:57Speaker 1: up right Chicken coming in with another super chat here.
- 1:45:05Speaker 1: If aj Lee declines the return wwe will be pretty
- 1:45:08Speaker 1: tempted to get Nicky Bella involved in the Punk Rollins feud.
- 1:45:11Speaker 1: Since Becky Lynch is involved, that is a terrible idea
- 1:45:17Speaker 1: that I hope you did not just will into existence. Man.
- 1:45:24Speaker 1: That's you know, that is very possible, and that would
- 1:45:28Speaker 1: be awful. That would be awful. We need to be
- 1:45:33Speaker 1: done with the Becky Lynch and the Nicky Bella stuff.
- 1:45:36Speaker 1: You want to get one stipulation match out of it
- 1:45:38Speaker 1: on TV, be my guest, and then that needs to
- 1:45:40Speaker 1: be the end of it. Bass Beer is god of seduction.
- 1:45:43Speaker 1: Who wins in a shoot? Rajah Jackson or Psycho Sid.
- 1:45:51Speaker 1: Psycho Sid Sid has his squeegee, so I think he'll
- 1:45:55Speaker 1: be okay. Hoffman Entertainment Happy thirty third anniversary too. I'm fooked, Brett,
- 1:46:00Speaker 1: I'm fuked. Yes. Summerslim In nineteen ninety two, Wembley Stadium,
- 1:46:10Speaker 1: Bass Bears, Saint Matt Clark welcome to the channel. Got
- 1:46:13Speaker 1: a bunch of new subs to welcome bass Bears, says
- 1:46:17Speaker 1: Slim Bronson. Reed. Yeah, ever since he came back, he's
- 1:46:20Speaker 1: noticeably slim down. Good for him. It's it's gonna be
- 1:46:23Speaker 1: better for that ankle. You know. He has said the
- 1:46:26Speaker 1: ankle is never going to be one hundred percent again.
- 1:46:28Speaker 1: He will never have full mobility in the ankle that
- 1:46:31Speaker 1: he broke, and he says he's in pain every day,
- 1:46:35Speaker 1: but when he's out there in the ring, he kind
- 1:46:37Speaker 1: of forgets about it, gets in the mindset, he gets
- 1:46:40Speaker 1: in the zone and it hasn't affected his performance in ring.
- 1:46:45Speaker 1: But yeah, that ankle that he broke coming off the
- 1:46:48Speaker 1: top of the cage and wargames, it'll it'll never be
- 1:46:50Speaker 1: the same again. Prince Vegeta, with twenty two months of membership, says,
- 1:46:56Speaker 1: apparently there has been no world champions in WWE born
- 1:46:59Speaker 1: in the ninety Ever, what do you think will be
- 1:47:02Speaker 1: the first one? Not saying bron Breaker, Well I was
- 1:47:06Speaker 1: gonna say bron Breakers, So there you go. You can't
- 1:47:09Speaker 1: say not bron breaker. You can't take away answers the
- 1:47:12Speaker 1: answer is bron Breaker. Well, I don't even know what
- 1:47:15Speaker 1: half these people were even born, like Roxanne Perez. Okay,
- 1:47:20Speaker 1: when was Roxanne Perez born? Was she born in the
- 1:47:23Speaker 1: early two thousands or was she born She probably born
- 1:47:26Speaker 1: in the early two thousands, right, Yeah, I don't know.
- 1:47:32Speaker 1: I don't know, man, Libido Bell. What's Jesse Sailor Moonstar
- 1:47:39Speaker 1: doing in the Impact Zone? I have no idea who
- 1:47:44Speaker 1: that is, or rather, I have no idea who that's
- 1:47:49Speaker 1: In reference to Venom Cantetsu canker, Oh my goodness, she's
- 1:47:55Speaker 1: back again. More Bella's more bellas Venom Kitetsu says he
- 1:48:03Speaker 1: has a canker sore on his left hansole, send help
- 1:48:06Speaker 1: and silver nitrate. I got a pair of scissors here,
- 1:48:11Speaker 1: I can. I can cut it out for you if
- 1:48:13Speaker 1: you want Mystic j forty four fans want her back,
- 1:48:18Speaker 1: wrestlers want her back, even her husband wants her back.
- 1:48:20Speaker 1: It feels like the only person that doesn't want AJ
- 1:48:25Speaker 1: back is AJ herself. Well, unfortunately for all the people
- 1:48:28Speaker 1: who want her back, that's the only person whose opinion
- 1:48:30Speaker 1: matters here. And if she doesn't want to come back,
- 1:48:32Speaker 1: she ain't coming back. Frankly, I could see her looking
- 1:48:35Speaker 1: at videos like Rhea Ripley being swarm by loser fans
- 1:48:38Speaker 1: outside and saying I don't want to come back to that.
- 1:48:41Speaker 1: Although I don't think Punk would allow that to happen.
- 1:48:45Speaker 1: I think Punk would would shield her from all the weirdos.
- 1:48:48Speaker 1: I think she'd be okay, uh, thank you, mystic Jay
- 1:48:53Speaker 1: bass Beera says, remember the fans who went after Seth
- 1:48:55Speaker 1: and Brett? Yes? I do. I remember that that fucking
- 1:48:58Speaker 1: idiot who attacked Brett Hart at the Hall of Fame.
- 1:49:01Speaker 1: I was actually sitting in Madison Square Garden watching the
- 1:49:05Speaker 1: fucking g One Supercard with New Japan and Ring of Honor,
- 1:49:09Speaker 1: and I'm looking on my phone. I'm like, Brett Hart attacked.
- 1:49:13Speaker 1: I felt like I was attacked. I was like, oh
- 1:49:15Speaker 1: my god, what do I need to do here? Who
- 1:49:18Speaker 1: do I need to go after? Brian Mahoney got a
- 1:49:23Speaker 1: name for Seth and Becky if she's in the Seth Riders.
- 1:49:26Speaker 1: I will never not call this faction that tragically unfashionable
- 1:49:30Speaker 1: or tragically fashionable, or tragically unfashionable. I think that works too.
- 1:49:40Speaker 1: Alex with the twenty five Brother solo Jericho. If Jericho
- 1:49:44Speaker 1: does come back, would you be interested in a feud
- 1:49:46Speaker 1: with Punk again? I thoroughly enjoyed their twenty twelve feud,
- 1:49:49Speaker 1: which became super personal. But did you think they're maybe
- 1:49:51Speaker 1: a twenty eight match under delivered? Yeah, I mean it's
- 1:49:55Speaker 1: not a favorite of mine. I think it was just
- 1:49:57Speaker 1: overshadowed by the main event and by the end of
- 1:50:00Speaker 1: an Ara hell in a Cell match, if I remember correctly,
- 1:50:05Speaker 1: I think they had a rematch at the next show
- 1:50:07Speaker 1: that was better. Same with Brian and Seamus. They had
- 1:50:13Speaker 1: that two out of three falls match that was obviously
- 1:50:16Speaker 1: much better than their twenty eight second eighteen second match.
- 1:50:22Speaker 1: Punk and Jericho again. You know, look, I think the
- 1:50:25Speaker 1: promos could potentially be interesting, but all the really interesting
- 1:50:28Speaker 1: stuff would just be, you know, stuff that they probably
- 1:50:32Speaker 1: wouldn't be allowed to say in reference to stuff that
- 1:50:36Speaker 1: happened in some other companies. So no, I'm not clamoring
- 1:50:41Speaker 1: for it. I'm really not at this point. I feel
- 1:50:44Speaker 1: like Jericho needs to be in the ring with somebody
- 1:50:46Speaker 1: who can assist in making him look as good as
- 1:50:50Speaker 1: he possibly can. I don't think Punk is that person.
- 1:50:57Speaker 1: Lavelle Gilliard well AJ returned be a one off or
- 1:51:01Speaker 1: one final run. We don't even know if she's coming
- 1:51:04Speaker 1: back for sure, but if she is, I imagine it's
- 1:51:07Speaker 1: probably for the purposes of this storyline, and you know,
- 1:51:11Speaker 1: beyond that, she might be in the Rumble. Do I
- 1:51:15Speaker 1: think it's like a full time run if she's back. No,
- 1:51:17Speaker 1: I don't think it's I don't think it's any kind
- 1:51:19Speaker 1: of like consistent run. But you know, it's like once
- 1:51:25Speaker 1: you make that first appearance, others will follow. So I
- 1:51:28Speaker 1: could see her being in the rumble, maybe having a
- 1:51:32Speaker 1: WrestleMania match. Dry Chicken says Obafemi. Deith Thrones seth rawlins Now.
- 1:51:44Speaker 1: I talked about Oba on the podcast and what I
- 1:51:46Speaker 1: would do with him. I would not rush him into
- 1:51:48Speaker 1: a World Championship. I think that's a mistake. I told
- 1:51:53Speaker 1: you what you need to do with Obafemi. Cameo. Johnson
- 1:52:01Speaker 1: with the four ninety nine says, is there ways the
- 1:52:06Speaker 1: WWE can better use all of their talent that they
- 1:52:09Speaker 1: have on hand. It's plenty that don't have anything going
- 1:52:12Speaker 1: on and are just never used. Yeah, it's called the
- 1:52:16Speaker 1: creative team doing a better job of rotating talent in
- 1:52:20Speaker 1: and out and coming up with ideas for the talent
- 1:52:22Speaker 1: that aren't doing anything. That's the easiest answer to your question.
- 1:52:27Speaker 1: The answer is yes, but that's on the creative team
- 1:52:33Speaker 1: and bass Veras says, Undertaker beat Triple h at WrestleMania
- 1:52:37Speaker 1: each time with a different finisher. Well their first match.
- 1:52:44Speaker 1: Their first match at WrestleMania seventeen, he used a last
- 1:52:47Speaker 1: Ride power bomb. Their second match at twenty seven, he
- 1:52:52Speaker 1: beat him with Hell's Gate. At twenty eight, he beat
- 1:52:56Speaker 1: him with a tombstone. So yes, all three of Undertaker's
- 1:53:01Speaker 1: finishers and he beat Triple Lights with each one of them.
- 1:53:06Speaker 1: That is true. We are currently sitting at five hundred
- 1:53:13Speaker 1: and sixty nine likes, nine out of fifteen on the
- 1:53:18Speaker 1: bonus goals, so we're only going to do the one round.
- 1:53:21Speaker 1: But we didn't do Be the Booker the other day
- 1:53:22Speaker 1: because I went early for SmackDown. It was an Express review,
- 1:53:26Speaker 1: it was in and out. But at least we're going
- 1:53:28Speaker 1: to get the one round in here. So let's go
- 1:53:30Speaker 1: ahead and be the Booker Paris edition. Ladies and gentlemen,
- 1:53:34Speaker 1: it is now time to be the Booker Clash in
- 1:53:41Speaker 1: Paris edition of Be the Booker, No Stipulations. I don't
- 1:53:48Speaker 1: know why that's open no stipulations tonight. That's only for
- 1:53:53Speaker 1: the bonus rounds. All right, feel like we haven't done
- 1:53:57Speaker 1: this in several days. Look at this. Robert needs his fix.
- 1:54:02Speaker 1: He needs his fix. He's got that vein. It's open.
- 1:54:05Speaker 1: He wants that be The booker injected, let's do it.
- 1:54:09Speaker 1: Choose two single stars to form a makeshift team. So
- 1:54:16Speaker 1: we're gonna have to make a fake team here. We
- 1:54:19Speaker 1: need real teams. We gotta make a makeshift team. Okay,
- 1:54:24Speaker 1: and that's what we have to do because that's what
- 1:54:26Speaker 1: the stipulations. And here I just said, we're not gonna
- 1:54:27Speaker 1: have stipulations. The first thing we land on is a stipulation. Okay.
- 1:54:35Speaker 1: Team number one member number one Eddie Guerrero, Latino Heat
- 1:54:44Speaker 1: and teaming with Eddie Guerrero will be Hook. Hook and
- 1:54:51Speaker 1: Eddie Guerrero are officially a tag team as an interesting team.
- 1:54:59Speaker 1: Quite know what to make of that team? That could work.
- 1:55:04Speaker 1: Just don't come out to Hook's new shitty music. Please
- 1:55:06Speaker 1: come out to Eddie's music. Please. Eddie Garrero and Hook
- 1:55:12Speaker 1: are going to take on the Nasty Boys. You know what.
- 1:55:17Speaker 1: I Am going to pick a stipulation for this. I
- 1:55:19Speaker 1: feel like this match needs a stipulation. I don't know,
- 1:55:22Speaker 1: I just feel that way. It's going to be a
- 1:55:25Speaker 1: going to be a molotov cocktail match. I'd pay money
- 1:55:32Speaker 1: to see that. Eddie Garrero and the Dudley and the
- 1:55:36Speaker 1: Nasty Boys and a Molotov cocktail match. That is a
- 1:55:40Speaker 1: real stipulation, by the way, from everyone's favorite game, AW,
- 1:55:44Speaker 1: Fight Forever. Is there anybody in the lobby like actually
- 1:55:50Speaker 1: playing Fight Forever anymore? I wonder how many people are
- 1:55:52Speaker 1: actually left playing the game? Is it in the double
- 1:55:56Speaker 1: digits or is it in single digits. We begin with Lana,
- 1:56:05Speaker 1: Happy Lana Day, everybody. I know what I'm pushing Lana
- 1:56:13Speaker 1: against the former Impact Knockouts champion Mickey James, and I
- 1:56:17Speaker 1: do love me some Mickey James, but this match was
- 1:56:24Speaker 1: doomed from the start. Sorry Mickey. Good old hardcore country.
- 1:56:34Speaker 1: All right, our main event of the evening, this is
- 1:56:36Speaker 1: how we end beat The booker Ed says, there are
- 1:56:43Speaker 1: six people playing Fight Forever on Steam right now. Six people,
- 1:56:51Speaker 1: So we have how many more people do we have?
- 1:56:53Speaker 1: We have about twelve hundred plus more than AW has
- 1:57:00Speaker 1: on Steam playing the game. All right, So here we go.
- 1:57:04Speaker 1: It is main event time. We have the Undertaker, Purple
- 1:57:10Speaker 1: Glove Undertaker. You gotta specify the time period of the
- 1:57:15Speaker 1: Undertaker that you're talking about. You have Great Glove Undertaker,
- 1:57:18Speaker 1: you have Purple Glove Undertaker, you have Ministry Undertaker, you
- 1:57:23Speaker 1: have American badass Undertaker, you have Big evil Undertaker, and
- 1:57:27Speaker 1: you had some hybrid mix of the two, you get
- 1:57:34Speaker 1: the fake Undertaker. The Undertaker against Yoko Zuna. It's a
- 1:57:48Speaker 1: guilty pleasure of mine. The Undertaker Yoko zu inafeud and
- 1:57:52Speaker 1: their matches are a guilty pleasure of mine. Now, funny enough,
- 1:57:56Speaker 1: Undertaker and yoko Zuna actually had two casket matches, and
- 1:58:01Speaker 1: I'm gonna go and do some stipulations here and see
- 1:58:04Speaker 1: if we might actually be able to land on casket
- 1:58:07Speaker 1: match Undertaker and Yoko Zuna in a lumberjack match. All right,
- 1:58:16Speaker 1: I'll still give it the bell, although lumberjack match is
- 1:58:19Speaker 1: not one of my favorite stipulations. Honestly, that second casket
- 1:58:25Speaker 1: match kind of turned into a lumberjack match if all
- 1:58:27Speaker 1: the lumberjacks were on yoko Zuna side, had about ten
- 1:58:32Speaker 1: different guys out there stuffing them inside that casket. But anyway,
- 1:58:37Speaker 1: there you go. There's your b the booker. Everybody bass beers,
- 1:58:43Speaker 1: says Mohawk, Undertaker. Oh yeah, that's right. That's among the
- 1:58:51Speaker 1: worst periods of the Undertaker was Mohawk Taker. Now we
- 1:58:57Speaker 1: have LFG Undertaker. Now we have Undertaker backstage assisting at
- 1:59:02Speaker 1: Triplemania Undertaker. We have Lucha Taker. That's his latest incarnation.
- 1:59:10Speaker 1: Chuck Norris was there. Yeah, Chuck Norris was there. That
- 1:59:12Speaker 1: was the second casket match Survivor Series ninety four. He
- 1:59:18Speaker 1: kicked Jeff Jarrett right in the face. Jeff Jarrett took
- 1:59:21Speaker 1: a bump for Chuck Norris. Yeah. If people wanted to
- 1:59:25Speaker 1: see an Undertaker and Sting match, maybe they got What
- 1:59:28Speaker 1: if they would have gotten Undertaker against against Vato's sting?
- 1:59:33Speaker 1: Would people have wanted to see Vatos sting against the Undertaker?
- 1:59:37Speaker 1: Bass Bevers says, could the Lumberjacks get Yoko in the ring?
- 1:59:43Speaker 1: Get him in the ring? Yeah, well, yeah, that's a
- 1:59:47Speaker 1: that's a tough question. I don't know. If he ends
- 1:59:48Speaker 1: up outside. The whole point of the Lumberjacks is to
- 1:59:51Speaker 1: throw people right back in the ring. They might not
- 1:59:53Speaker 1: be able to get him back in the ring. May's
- 1:59:57Speaker 1: the great Channel member for forty nine months solo. You
- 2:00:01Speaker 1: being a Mets fan, I'm sure you've heard get Mets
- 2:00:05Speaker 1: marized and it's cring cringly charming and sound like somebody
- 2:00:11Speaker 1: came up with that on drugs. Yeah, I think I
- 2:00:15Speaker 1: heard it once and that's I don't have to hear
- 2:00:16Speaker 1: it ever again. I'm more a fan of the old
- 2:00:20Speaker 1: school Mets song from the eighties. That's more my jam.
- 2:00:27Speaker 1: The less said about the Mets right now, the Better
- 2:00:30Speaker 1: just lost most of their games to the fucking Marlins.
- 2:00:32Speaker 1: They scored nineteen runs in one game and they couldn't
- 2:00:35Speaker 1: score hardly anything for the rest of the series. It's
- 2:00:38Speaker 1: like their entire quota of runs they wasted in one game,
- 2:00:41Speaker 1: so they had nothing left after that, they had nothing left.
- 2:00:45Speaker 1: It's just awful, but at least they'll get a wild
- 2:00:50Speaker 1: card spot. What was Yoko's heaviest weight while wrestling while
- 2:00:56Speaker 1: he was active. I think he was active right until
- 2:00:59Speaker 1: the very end, so I mean, the heaviest that I
- 2:01:01Speaker 1: heard of him being was about eight oh four. So
- 2:01:05Speaker 1: if he wasn't eight hundred, he was definitely somewhere in
- 2:01:08Speaker 1: that seven hundred range. But a lot of state athletic commissions,
- 2:01:12Speaker 1: like in New York just wouldn't allow him to wrestle
- 2:01:14Speaker 1: because how could you he was such a liability. I mean,
- 2:01:19Speaker 1: his weight was just out of control. And again, the
- 2:01:21Speaker 1: heart can only support so much. You know, there's just
- 2:01:24Speaker 1: a point in which the heart simply cannot function. Yeah,
- 2:01:29Speaker 1: I mean you've heard the stories of WWE sending him
- 2:01:32Speaker 1: Invader to a fat camp basically, or it was like
- 2:01:35Speaker 1: a weight loss center, but they called it like a
- 2:01:36Speaker 1: fat camp, and they would check in with him and
- 2:01:39Speaker 1: he'd be like, yeah, yeah, I'm losing weight. I lost
- 2:01:40Speaker 1: one hundred pounds and like, oh, that's great. Then they
- 2:01:43Speaker 1: found out like he was completely just k fabe and
- 2:01:48Speaker 1: just lying. He didn't lose anything. In fact, they caught
- 2:01:51Speaker 1: him Invaders smuggling or having people for them smuggle fried
- 2:01:55Speaker 1: chicken into the clinic so they could have fried chicken
- 2:01:59Speaker 1: every night. It's like they didn't lose anything. They actually
- 2:02:02Speaker 1: gained weight. They went to the Duke Weight Loss Center
- 2:02:05Speaker 1: to lose weight, and they actually came out of it
- 2:02:07Speaker 1: heavier than they were when they went in. You know,
- 2:02:11Speaker 1: I mean, these are grown adults. You can only do
- 2:02:13Speaker 1: so much. You can lead the horse to water, you
- 2:02:15Speaker 1: can't force it to drink if they don't want to
- 2:02:17Speaker 1: lose the weight and put the work and then they're
- 2:02:18Speaker 1: not going to But then you're going to have a
- 2:02:20Speaker 1: premature death. Unfortunately, that's what's gonna happen. People need to
- 2:02:26Speaker 1: make their own decisions. The Winston slip. Which matches made
- 2:02:32Speaker 1: the best use of the gimmick? What matches made the
- 2:02:37Speaker 1: best use of the gimmick? I mean, pick your favorite
- 2:02:40Speaker 1: stipulation matches, right, if you just answered your own question,
- 2:02:47Speaker 1: you know, wwe always had the escape out over the
- 2:02:50Speaker 1: top of the cage or through the door rule. To me,
- 2:02:53Speaker 1: Brett Nowen made the best use of it. I mean,
- 2:02:59Speaker 1: there's been so how many ladder matches. I mean, there's
- 2:03:02Speaker 1: there's so many choices. There's a lot of great ladder matches,
- 2:03:05Speaker 1: So I mean take your pick. I don't really have
- 2:03:08Speaker 1: like a favorite lumberjack match, honestly. You know, when it
- 2:03:12Speaker 1: comes to stuff like falls count anywhere, I think those
- 2:03:15Speaker 1: hardcore twenty four to seven matches back in the Attitude era,
- 2:03:18Speaker 1: they made the most of that stipulation. Like when Al
- 2:03:22Speaker 1: Snow and Bob Holly wrestled out of the arena into
- 2:03:25Speaker 1: the Mississippi River, I mean, how do you not love that?
- 2:03:31Speaker 1: Or when Al Snow and the Big Boss Men SummerSlam
- 2:03:34Speaker 1: I want to say Summer Slim ninety nine brawled out
- 2:03:38Speaker 1: of the building into the street, across the street, into
- 2:03:41Speaker 1: oncoming traffic into there was like a bar restaurant across
- 2:03:45Speaker 1: the street. They went embrawled in there. That's what a
- 2:03:48Speaker 1: false count anywhere match should be. You get a false
- 2:03:51Speaker 1: count anywhere a match of these days, they're fucking lame.
- 2:03:53Speaker 1: They don't take full advantage of the stipulation. They don't.
- 2:03:56Speaker 1: They don't have fun with it. Everything is just very sanitized.
- 2:03:59Speaker 1: And why even bother, why even bother having the stipulation
- 2:04:04Speaker 1: if you're not gonna have fun with it? Abystle Zones.
- 2:04:10Speaker 1: If late two thousands, Undertaker could wrestle the current roster,
- 2:04:15Speaker 1: who would you want to see him work with? Gunther?
- 2:04:19Speaker 1: Jacob Fought two and Logan come to mind. Logan Paul
- 2:04:22Speaker 1: would be a great opponent for Logan. Paul would be
- 2:04:24Speaker 1: bumping all over the place for him. Undertaker would love
- 2:04:28Speaker 1: to work with Gunther. He has said that that could
- 2:04:30Speaker 1: have been a WrestleMania match, So Undertaker and Gunther, Undertaker
- 2:04:35Speaker 1: and Jacob Fought two would be I mean, Undertaker love
- 2:04:39Speaker 1: working with the Samoans anyway. Look, Undertaker and Umaga would
- 2:04:42Speaker 1: have been a great match. It's kind of surprising we
- 2:04:44Speaker 1: never got an Undertaker Umaga program. I think those two
- 2:04:48Speaker 1: would have worked really well together. But yeah, Gunther Jacob Fatu, Logan,
- 2:04:52Speaker 1: Paul Seth Rollins. A proper match with aj styles I
- 2:04:59Speaker 1: think would have been fun. The Boneyard match was fun,
- 2:05:02Speaker 1: but they never had a real match inside a wrestling ring.
- 2:05:07Speaker 1: Didn't They wrestle in a ball pitch? Yeah? That was
- 2:05:09Speaker 1: when Crash Crash Holly was the twenty four to seven champ.
- 2:05:14Speaker 1: The guys would just follow him everywhere and they wrestled
- 2:05:18Speaker 1: in a place called fun Time USA here in Brooklyn.
- 2:05:21Speaker 1: It's not there anymore. There's a storage a storage facility
- 2:05:26Speaker 1: there now, but there used to be this. I mean
- 2:05:30Speaker 1: fun Time USA was basically it was two levels and
- 2:05:35Speaker 1: they had the you know, the hammer to test your strength.
- 2:05:39Speaker 1: They had the bumper cars. Upstairs is where all the
- 2:05:43Speaker 1: arcades were. They had tons of arcades and ski ball
- 2:05:48Speaker 1: and there was a giant super slide that connected the
- 2:05:51Speaker 1: top floor to the bottom floor. I rode that slide
- 2:05:54Speaker 1: many times. And so when you watch that segment back
- 2:05:58Speaker 1: from SmackDown where the head bangers are chasing him through
- 2:06:01Speaker 1: fun Time USA. That's where they start. Crash is playing
- 2:06:04Speaker 1: the arcades. The head Bangers attack and Crash goes down
- 2:06:07Speaker 1: the super slide and the ball pit is right there,
- 2:06:12Speaker 1: so yeah, they chase him through the airport. I think
- 2:06:15Speaker 1: Crash escaped through the baggage the baggage machine. It was fun.
- 2:06:23Speaker 1: It was fun. I missed that anyway, Thank you guys
- 2:06:27Speaker 1: for hanging out with me here on a Sunday night
