- 0:02Speaker 1: In the world of rules in gray areas, one morning
- 0:04Speaker 1: show dares to ask the hard questions. Is it illegal
- 0:07Speaker 1: for a child to wear that much makeup? Is it legal?
- 0:11Speaker 2: I understand, I understand, it's funny as all can get out, but.
- 0:14Speaker 3: Is it even legal?
- 0:15Speaker 4: On Big ninety eight point seven, there are more states
- 0:22Speaker 4: than not where someone who is under the age of
- 0:25Speaker 4: twenty one could have a beer with mom or dad
- 0:30Speaker 4: at home or at a private location.
- 0:33Speaker 2: This is crazy to me.
- 0:35Speaker 4: Well, if you think you can outsmart the law by
- 0:37Speaker 4: crack and open a cold one at home with your
- 0:39Speaker 4: parents in North Dakota, nice try. In some places, mom
- 0:44Speaker 4: might hand you a glass of wine and call it
- 0:46Speaker 4: family bonding. In North Dakota, it's called a bad idea
- 0:50Speaker 4: because here's the deal. If you're under twenty one, you
- 0:53Speaker 4: legally cannot drink, not at a party, not in a field,
- 0:56Speaker 4: not even on your own couch. While your dad says
- 0:58Speaker 4: don't tell mom, okay, and parents, you're not off the
- 1:03Speaker 4: hook either. North Dakota's social host laws basically say, hey, adults,
- 1:08Speaker 4: you supply it, You're liable.
- 1:11Speaker 1: So no, it's not a loophole. It's not a gray area.
- 1:14Speaker 4: It's more like a giant flashing neon sign that says
- 1:17Speaker 4: put the drink down kid. Moral of the story, if
- 1:20Speaker 4: you're under twenty one in North Dakota, just stick to
- 1:22Speaker 4: soda or water. It's a lot less likely to come
- 1:26Speaker 4: with handcuffs. But there are a ton of states if
- 1:30Speaker 4: you are under twenty one, you could have a beer
- 1:33Speaker 4: with mom or dad, or a glass of wine at home.
- 1:35Speaker 2: Okay, what if I cross the bridge and I'm in
- 1:37Speaker 2: more Head.
- 1:38Speaker 4: Now, if you are in Minnesota, that is a completely
- 1:42Speaker 4: different story. In Minnesota, miners can possess alcohol in a
- 1:46Speaker 4: parent or guardian's home, and they can consume with a
- 1:50Speaker 4: parent or guardian in the parent or guardian's home as well.
- 1:54Speaker 5: Well.
- 1:54Speaker 2: I'm glad that I live in South Fargo so I
- 1:56Speaker 2: don't have to lie to Aiden about it being illegal.
- 2:01Speaker 3: Yeah, celebrating life's little victories victory every morning we practice
- 2:09Speaker 3: gratitude on Big ninety eight point seven.
- 2:11Speaker 1: If I could, I would keep this feeling in a
- 2:13Speaker 1: basket job busted out when it was someone's acting hard.
- 2:17Speaker 3: I just really needed to win, you know, sure your
- 2:19Speaker 3: little victories with us at seven oh one two eight
- 2:22Speaker 3: A one ninety eight seven.
- 2:24Speaker 4: And Angie, do you have a little victory for us
- 2:26Speaker 4: here today. What are you going to be grateful about today?
- 2:30Speaker 2: My little one Liam got home from school and he
- 2:35Speaker 2: had a good day, and then I told him, hey,
- 2:39Speaker 2: you left a really big mess downstairs. Can you clean
- 2:42Speaker 2: it up? And without arguing, he said, oh yeah, I forgot,
- 2:47Speaker 2: and then went downstairs and cleaned up. It was magical.
- 2:51Speaker 2: It's never happened that way before ever in the history
- 2:54Speaker 2: of life. So your girl is real happy.
- 2:56Speaker 4: That almost almost brings a tear to Uncle Gabe's eye. Wait,
- 3:00Speaker 4: congratulations and good for you, little man. My little victory
- 3:04Speaker 4: I wish was a lot more meaningful, but it's not.
- 3:07Speaker 1: I So I don't know. You know this about me,
- 3:09Speaker 1: or maybe you don't. I don't know.
- 3:11Speaker 4: But you've seen my pretty massive record collection, right, I
- 3:14Speaker 4: have all these vinyl records. It's in the thing that's
- 3:17Speaker 4: under the TV in my living room. Yeah, and I
- 3:21Speaker 4: just have inherited a bunch of these really old, classic,
- 3:25Speaker 4: original printed vinyl records, all right. I got a dad
- 3:28Speaker 4: who's in his seventies, So all these awesome, you know, fifties, sixties,
- 3:31Speaker 4: seventies records and some new ones mixed in there too
- 3:35Speaker 4: that were printed back in the day right, I've held
- 3:37Speaker 4: on to and kept nice and safe and all these years.
- 3:41Speaker 1: And I listened to them, or I used to.
- 3:43Speaker 4: I listened to them on a regular basis every Saturday
- 3:46Speaker 4: in the morning when I was making eggs or breakfast
- 3:48Speaker 4: or whatever, I'd throw on a record just for fun. Well,
- 3:52Speaker 4: when I moved to Fargo, like a year and a
- 3:54Speaker 4: half ago, I don't exactly know what happened, but my
- 3:58Speaker 4: turn table had this cord that I would plug into
- 4:02Speaker 4: a speaker or the sound bar at my house, and
- 4:06Speaker 4: for whatever reason, for like a year and a half,
- 4:08Speaker 4: I have not been able to find locate that aux
- 4:12Speaker 4: coord basically.
- 4:14Speaker 1: And so after Corey and I are going room by
- 4:17Speaker 1: room one by one.
- 4:18Speaker 4: Just kind of getting rid of little things, rearranging things
- 4:20Speaker 4: from when baby g arrives as well. We were going
- 4:22Speaker 4: through this new room that had to get made because
- 4:26Speaker 4: we had to make room for a different room for.
- 4:29Speaker 1: Baby nursery time. Yeah, I found.
- 4:31Speaker 4: A cord to where I can now plug my turntable
- 4:35Speaker 4: back in to this speaker.
- 4:36Speaker 1: Oh good, I listen.
- 4:38Speaker 4: To all of these records again, and it was kind
- 4:40Speaker 4: of fun on Sunday going through some records and I
- 4:43Speaker 4: kind of forgot I had. Yeah, so these old old
- 4:47Speaker 4: vinyl records, some obviously new, you know, I got some
- 4:49Speaker 4: food Fighters records in there that aren't obviously from the
- 4:52Speaker 4: sixties or seventies.
- 4:53Speaker 2: You got you over so you can what is it?
- 4:57Speaker 2: So you can pound bush lights and listen to.
- 4:59Speaker 4: Records in the creed in the garage. But yeah, so
- 5:02Speaker 4: it's really cool to be able to use those and
- 5:03Speaker 4: listen to them again. It's kind of nice because I
- 5:06Speaker 4: don't I'm not some music snob by any stretch, but
- 5:09Speaker 4: there is something about listening to a vinyl record where
- 5:12Speaker 4: it just sounds warmer, and they just sound, in my opinion,
- 5:16Speaker 4: just better than a lot of digital stuff these days.
- 5:18Speaker 4: So very very cool to be able to spin some
- 5:21Speaker 4: records again at the glitten House. I might be the
- 5:27Speaker 4: cause of a JINX moment here, but I have been
- 5:31Speaker 4: waiting for the right time to play this for you
- 5:34Speaker 4: after hours and hours of slaving away putting this thing together.
- 5:39Speaker 4: But I think we can officially say goodbye to winter well,
- 5:44Speaker 4: and at least also according to the calendar. I mean,
- 5:46Speaker 4: it technically is spring. But take a listen to this, Angie.
- 5:49Speaker 4: I think that's a good farewell.
- 6:14Speaker 5: Is that.
- 6:28Speaker 4: If we have another day in the twenties, you can
- 6:31Speaker 4: blame me here on Big ninety eight point seven. I
- 6:34Speaker 4: have been waiting for this moment to be able to
- 6:36Speaker 4: say sixty whatever degrees wyah, Ever, mid sixties tomorrow, Angie,
- 6:41Speaker 4: what are you looking forward to the most? About spring?
- 6:46Speaker 5: Here?
- 6:47Speaker 2: I am the palest woman in the land. I might
- 6:50Speaker 2: as well be a ghost walking around. I just need
- 6:55Speaker 2: some sunshine. I don't even care if it's hot necessarily,
- 6:58Speaker 2: I just need some sunshine. So that I mean, I
- 7:02Speaker 2: have melanin. I swear. I'm just so ghostly white right now,
- 7:07Speaker 2: so I need a little bit of a tan. I'm
- 7:09Speaker 2: also just better, a better person when the weather turns,
- 7:12Speaker 2: and then.
- 7:13Speaker 1: Well that's good.
- 7:15Speaker 2: Yeah, I've been a real monster all winter. But I
- 7:18Speaker 2: will say this also, Easter is like tomorrow, not tomorrow,
- 7:22Speaker 2: but I's like, not this Sunday, but the next one.
- 7:25Speaker 2: We are less than two weeks away from Easter, and
- 7:28Speaker 2: I feel like Easter really marks spring. I know the
- 7:31Speaker 2: calendar says whatever, the spring equinox, whatever, but Easter, I
- 7:35Speaker 2: think for sure kicks it off. And it being in
- 7:39Speaker 2: less than two weeks, I'm very hopeful. My fingers are
- 7:42Speaker 2: crossed and I love a good Easter egg hunt.
- 7:44Speaker 4: Yeah, I what I love the moster are I'm looking
- 7:46Speaker 4: forward to the most about spring. And this is you
- 7:49Speaker 4: know a little bit kind of gross. But yesterday I
- 7:51Speaker 4: let my dog out to go to the bathroom.
- 7:53Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 7:53Speaker 4: Do you know how much easier, quicker, cleaner it is
- 7:57Speaker 4: to go clean up after my dog when grass?
- 8:01Speaker 1: Oh yeah, out of the snow. Oh my god.
- 8:05Speaker 4: I had just like an awakening moment yesterday as I
- 8:08Speaker 4: let one on one out and then you know, go pick
- 8:10Speaker 4: up after And I just walked out grabbed this what
- 8:14Speaker 4: I had to grab.
- 8:15Speaker 1: Yeah, I didn't have a handful of snow.
- 8:18Speaker 4: I didn't have to trudge through the snow and put
- 8:21Speaker 4: on boots and a hoodie. And I just walked outside
- 8:24Speaker 4: in my shorts, T shirt and bare feet and cleaned
- 8:27Speaker 4: up right after my dog.
- 8:29Speaker 2: I love that. I feel like that's relatable, af even
- 8:31Speaker 2: if you don't have a dog. Because I was walking
- 8:33Speaker 2: through a neighborhood one of the days last week where
- 8:35Speaker 2: it happened to be nice and the snow was melted,
- 8:38Speaker 2: and boy did it reveal. Yeah, there were so much
- 8:42Speaker 2: on the grass, and I, you know, I forgive it
- 8:45Speaker 2: in that like, well, you know, there was a lot
- 8:47Speaker 2: of snow. It was hard. But now that the snow
- 8:49Speaker 2: has gone, everybody please pick up after your dog.
- 8:51Speaker 4: Absolutely no excuse now as we officially say goodbye to winter. Here,
- 8:56Speaker 4: I'm Big ninety eight point seven and if your bracket
- 9:02Speaker 4: is busted.
- 9:03Speaker 1: Well tell us the rest of the world. So no
- 9:05Speaker 1: big deal there.
- 9:06Speaker 4: But we have got March Dadness underway right now on
- 9:11Speaker 4: the Big ninety eight point seven Instagram page.
- 9:14Speaker 2: So here's the thing. We're trying to crown the big
- 9:16Speaker 2: Daddy of Big ninety eight point seven because it can't
- 9:19Speaker 2: be Gabe. He's not technically a father yet. So yep,
- 9:22Speaker 2: too bad, loser. I'm just kidding. I'm sorry, that's right.
- 9:25Speaker 2: That was aggressive. So we have March Dadness underway right now.
- 9:30Speaker 2: You can vote for the left side of the bracket
- 9:34Speaker 2: until about noon today because we want to give you
- 9:38Speaker 2: a full twenty four hours to be able to vote
- 9:40Speaker 2: on the left side of the bracket. Now, if you
- 9:43Speaker 2: want to meet the men of March Madness, I mean
- 9:46Speaker 2: March Dadness. Sorry, sorry, we do have this pinned to
- 9:50Speaker 2: the top of the Big ninety eight point seven Facebook page.
- 9:53Speaker 2: But in terms of voting, you are going to go
- 9:56Speaker 2: to the Big ninety eight point seven Instagram it's at
- 10:00Speaker 2: Big nine eight seven FM. And we do have the
- 10:04Speaker 2: instructions for this also posted on the Big ninety eight
- 10:07Speaker 2: point seven page. So Facebook page. So voting for March
- 10:10Speaker 2: Dad and this is now open. You're gonna head to
- 10:12Speaker 2: Big nine eight seven FM on Instagram. You're gonna click
- 10:15Speaker 2: on our Instagram stories and then boom, you're gonna start
- 10:19Speaker 2: voting and it'll tell you how to do it and
- 10:22Speaker 2: then just vote. It's for the left side of the bracket.
- 10:25Speaker 2: Then you'll vote for the right side of the bracket
- 10:29Speaker 2: starting after noon today.
- 10:31Speaker 4: If you know you tag a wonderful Dad in on
- 10:35Speaker 4: Facebook page, that's awesome, that's great.
- 10:38Speaker 1: We hope they have a wonderful day. Yeah, that is.
- 10:40Speaker 4: It won't count as a vote. It won't count as
- 10:43Speaker 4: a nomination.
- 10:44Speaker 1: That part.
- 10:45Speaker 4: The nomination's all done, okay. So voting is on Instagram.
- 10:49Speaker 4: If you just go to the Big nine eight seven
- 10:51Speaker 4: Instagram page. It really is very very very simple. You
- 10:55Speaker 4: just click on the story and get your vote on.
- 10:57Speaker 2: Yeah, it's very simple and it's fun. It's fun to
- 11:00Speaker 2: just tap through and vote for who you want. So
- 11:03Speaker 2: get that done, because then the right side of the
- 11:05Speaker 2: bracket will be open for voting after noon.
- 11:08Speaker 4: Yep, so once again Instagram Big nine to eight seven
- 11:12Speaker 4: FM to cast your vote for March Dadness. You can
- 11:17Speaker 4: do that until noon today and then a whole new
- 11:19Speaker 4: slew of fathers going head into Instagram matchups.
- 11:28Speaker 1: I'm taking to the judgment zone, Angie.
- 11:31Speaker 2: Oh gosh, so it's not a Planet fitness. No.
- 11:34Speaker 4: I will say I was a bit judgmental the other day,
- 11:37Speaker 4: and I feel like everybody has moments where you know
- 11:41Speaker 4: you're judging people.
- 11:42Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, I'm so judge.
- 11:44Speaker 1: It's not necessarily right, but we all do it.
- 11:47Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 11:48Speaker 4: Like, for example, I received an email the other day
- 11:51Speaker 4: and I could tell without a like, I'd bet the house, okay,
- 11:56Speaker 4: that this email was written by AI. I hate when
- 12:03Speaker 4: someone sends an email Yeah, one hundred percent written by AI.
- 12:08Speaker 1: Yeah, I understand judging you.
- 12:10Speaker 2: Yeah, no, same, I understand someone using it to maybe
- 12:13Speaker 2: reword a phrase or something that you can't put something
- 12:15Speaker 2: that it's very clear when it's AI. And the other
- 12:19Speaker 2: thing is when someone sends a fully AI message, you
- 12:22Speaker 2: know that we can just copy paste that and be like,
- 12:25Speaker 2: was this Yeah? Ai? And then it's like one hundred percent.
- 12:29Speaker 4: Yes, that's why if you ever get an email from
- 12:31Speaker 4: me here at big nine eight seven, I usually have
- 12:35Speaker 4: an emoji in the email, so you know that that
- 12:37Speaker 4: one percent came from me seven h one two eight
- 12:41Speaker 4: zero one nine eight seven. I get time. We get
- 12:44Speaker 4: it off our chest a little bit. Is there something
- 12:46Speaker 4: you secretly judge people for? Let us know here this
- 12:50Speaker 4: morning on a big ninety eight point seven, Angie, do
- 12:53Speaker 4: you have one?
- 12:54Speaker 2: Oh God, I think it's when people don't follow directions. Yeah.
- 13:00Speaker 2: I feel I was that kid in school that you know,
- 13:03Speaker 2: your teacher hands out the paper and says, okay, read
- 13:07Speaker 2: all the directions before you start the worksheet. And so
- 13:10Speaker 2: what did I do? Read all the directions before I
- 13:13Speaker 2: started the worksheet? And then there would be scared. Well,
- 13:16Speaker 2: there would be kids in my class who'd get to
- 13:19Speaker 2: the back and be like, wait, I understand, and it's
- 13:21Speaker 2: because they didn't read the directions. Yeah, so just like
- 13:24Speaker 2: read the directions. I don't know what the So I
- 13:27Speaker 2: don't ever say anything out loud. I secretly judge that
- 13:30Speaker 2: because I think there must be something in their brain
- 13:34Speaker 2: that I don't get that makes people think no, don't
- 13:38Speaker 2: follow directions, just do whatever I want. I just don't
- 13:40Speaker 2: have that in me, So I secretly judge that for you.
- 13:42Speaker 4: Sure you would have hated me in about fourth through
- 13:45Speaker 4: twelfth grade, Gabe, I still what do you secretly judge
- 13:50Speaker 4: you for?
- 13:51Speaker 5: So when you're in a parting lot and there's a
- 13:54Speaker 5: car in front of you and they're holding a conversation
- 13:57Speaker 5: with a car coming from the opposite.
- 13:59Speaker 4: Direction one percent. Sorry that was terror, by the way, Uh,
- 14:02Speaker 4: one thousand percent. That's the same thing like when you're
- 14:05Speaker 4: in lying at a gas station and uh someone is
- 14:08Speaker 4: sitting at the front of the counter scratching off there.
- 14:11Speaker 1: Uh scratch tickets. Yeah, I hate it.
- 14:14Speaker 4: Move three feet hey, two cars blocking me from parking
- 14:19Speaker 4: to run into Walmart so I can.
- 14:21Speaker 1: Grab whatever I need.
- 14:23Speaker 4: Move all right, continue your conversation in the southeast corner
- 14:28Speaker 4: where no one is.
- 14:29Speaker 2: I think you want Tara at a callback so you
- 14:32Speaker 2: guys can discuss this further later. You're very passionate, Eddie.
- 14:35Speaker 1: What about you, Man?
- 14:36Speaker 5: I secretly judge people over parenting. Oh so you go
- 14:41Speaker 5: into a restaurant and you got these parents, their kids
- 14:44Speaker 5: are throwing stuff at people, Uh, throwing forks on the floor,
- 14:49Speaker 5: you're going to Walmart, kids are throwing.
- 14:52Speaker 1: Yeah, okay, I can understand kids being kids.
- 14:55Speaker 2: Listen. As a parent, I'm gonna take this one because yeah,
- 14:58Speaker 2: you'd lead the way he there yet Ah. I try
- 15:02Speaker 2: not to judge parents when kids are acting up in public,
- 15:06Speaker 2: because I'm telling you, I my kids back in the
- 15:10Speaker 2: day liam sometimes now super like doing whatever they want
- 15:16Speaker 2: and you're trying. As long as I see the parent trying, yeah,
- 15:20Speaker 2: you know, then I don't judge you because your kids
- 15:22Speaker 2: are still their own people, and if they don't feel
- 15:24Speaker 2: like listening, fine, But I do get it. If you're
- 15:27Speaker 2: at a restaurant and the kid is throwing forks and
- 15:29Speaker 2: all that stuff and the parent is just tuned out
- 15:32Speaker 2: and knock it, well, then I judge the parent, But
- 15:35Speaker 2: in general I try not to.
- 15:36Speaker 1: Yeah, if you're it's one thing.
- 15:38Speaker 4: If you're completely ignored, if you're trying, I think a
- 15:40Speaker 4: lot of people would understand that, you know, hey they're trying,
- 15:42Speaker 4: they're putting in some effort, they're going through it right now.
- 15:44Speaker 4: But if you're just acting like this isn't happening, I
- 15:47Speaker 4: think that's where people get a little bit nagmental. Seven
- 15:49Speaker 4: oh one two eight zero one nine eight seven. Is
- 15:52Speaker 4: there something you want to share with us here this
- 15:53Speaker 4: morning that you uh secretly judge people for this morning
- 15:56Speaker 4: on Big ninety eight point seventy Big ninety eight points,
- 16:00Speaker 4: there was a very very popular show that recently had
- 16:03Speaker 4: to cancel or completely cancel a season, and that.
- 16:07Speaker 1: Would be.
- 16:10Speaker 2: The Bachelorette.
- 16:11Speaker 1: The Bachelorette.
- 16:12Speaker 4: Now we're gonna give you a tiny little look behind
- 16:15Speaker 4: the curtain here with Big ninety eight point seven because
- 16:17Speaker 4: I'm really just talking to you this morning, ed doing
- 16:19Speaker 4: a little independent research that I've roped Angie into.
- 16:22Speaker 2: That's fine, I'm here, I'm along for the ride now.
- 16:25Speaker 4: Yeah, now that they have canceled this season of The Bachelorette,
- 16:29Speaker 4: what are we gonna do?
- 16:31Speaker 5: Well?
- 16:31Speaker 4: I was wondering this morning if we put together maybe
- 16:36Speaker 4: a little Big ninety eight point seven FM area Bachelorette,
- 16:41Speaker 4: would anybody be willing to be a participant? Now, Angie
- 16:45Speaker 4: and I every day after the show, we talk about
- 16:48Speaker 4: what we're gonna do on the new show, so letting
- 16:50Speaker 4: you in or the next day show, We're letting you
- 16:52Speaker 4: go in a little bit on a little show prep
- 16:55Speaker 4: this morning. Oh, somebody who would be willing to. If
- 16:58Speaker 4: there is, maybe we would do something. If no one's interested,
- 17:02Speaker 4: then I'll scrap this whole thing and we won't ever
- 17:03Speaker 4: talk about it again.
- 17:05Speaker 2: Oh my gosh.
- 17:06Speaker 4: Kind of hard for Angie and I'd be like, we're
- 17:07Speaker 4: gonna do this, and then no one wants to.
- 17:09Speaker 2: Do and then no one wants to do it. Okay,
- 17:10Speaker 2: So is there someone who is willing to be the
- 17:13Speaker 2: FM area bachelorette? That's all we have so far. We
- 17:17Speaker 2: don't know where this will go from here, how we
- 17:19Speaker 2: would craft it will work on that, But first we
- 17:22Speaker 2: need to know is there someone who would be interested?
- 17:25Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 17:25Speaker 2: Or mabe gosh, this is exciting.
- 17:27Speaker 1: Please someone or would your friend be interested?
- 17:31Speaker 4: Yea, yeah, stuss at seven oh one two eight zero
- 17:34Speaker 4: one nine eight seven. And you know, we don't necessarily
- 17:36Speaker 4: need to out them or anything like that. If you're
- 17:38Speaker 4: just like, oh.

- 17:50Speaker 4: So let us know if you or someone you know
- 17:52Speaker 4: would potentially be interested to be the big ninety eight
- 17:56Speaker 4: point seven FM area bachelorette. You can text us call
- 17:58Speaker 4: us whatever at seven zero one two eight zero one
- 18:01Speaker 4: nine eight seven. I mean, we got to make up
- 18:03Speaker 4: for no ABC Bachelorette, so why not just a ninety
- 18:07Speaker 4: eight point seven bachelorette?
- 18:08Speaker 2: Yes, all right, all right?
- 18:16Speaker 4: We uh recently just talked to someone who said we
- 18:19Speaker 4: needed more big holidays throughout the year. You know, the
- 18:22Speaker 4: big ones where you got the day off of work,
- 18:24Speaker 4: the entire nation celebrates them. Yeah, and I agree. I
- 18:28Speaker 4: think we do need some more national holidays. I mean,
- 18:31Speaker 4: we do have December fifth, and I have been sending
- 18:34Speaker 4: letter after letter after letter to the Holiday Decider to
- 18:39Speaker 4: try to get my birthday to be a national holiday.
- 18:42Speaker 4: But sadly I haven't quite got a response yet. I
- 18:44Speaker 4: wonder if they're I wonder if my persistence will pay off.
- 18:47Speaker 2: I think your first mistake was sending it to Holiday Decide.
- 18:51Speaker 4: Now, you know, you gotta shoot your shot, Angie. If
- 18:54Speaker 4: you could come up with a holiday, when would it be?
- 18:57Speaker 4: And for fun? What would the holiday be? I think
- 18:59Speaker 4: the when is really the big one. But what would
- 19:02Speaker 4: your holiday be?
- 19:03Speaker 2: Okay, it would be mid January, because you know every
- 19:06Speaker 2: year January is.
- 19:08Speaker 1: Bleak, the dog days of jail.
- 19:10Speaker 2: Yes, and it feels like it lasts for a lifetime.
- 19:14Speaker 2: So right, smack in the middle of January. Okay, so
- 19:17Speaker 2: January fifteenth, let's say, not sixteenth. Yeah, let's do sixteenth
- 19:22Speaker 2: January sixteenth.
- 19:24Speaker 1: To drive you.
- 19:24Speaker 2: Yeah, I would want there to be a holiday called
- 19:28Speaker 2: summers Be and it is where you act like it
- 19:32Speaker 2: be summer in the middle of January, So like drinking
- 19:36Speaker 2: the frozen Margarita's and turning on a bunch of heat
- 19:41Speaker 2: lamps and just acting like it's summer, because that's what
- 19:45Speaker 2: we're all longing for.
- 19:47Speaker 4: Get the straw hats out, get your United States of
- 19:50Speaker 4: America tank tops on.
- 19:52Speaker 1: Yeah, basically a halfway to July fourth, Yes.
- 19:55Speaker 2: Exactly, because my birthday is actually July third, and it
- 19:59Speaker 2: always gets over sh aduled by the fourth of July.
- 20:02Speaker 2: So if we can just celebrate that way in the
- 20:05Speaker 2: middle of January, summers be. So it's like summers be
- 20:09Speaker 2: here right.
- 20:09Speaker 1: Now, That's right.
- 20:10Speaker 2: I think that would be excellent.
- 20:12Speaker 1: Corin.
- 20:12Speaker 4: She texted us at seven oh one two eight zero
- 20:15Speaker 4: one nine eight seven, and she said, I just want
- 20:17Speaker 4: our Thanksgiving to be in October, like Canada. That's a
- 20:20Speaker 4: bigger span to decorate for Christmas. Little more Christmas decor.
- 20:26Speaker 5: I like that.
- 20:26Speaker 4: This one was from Laura, and I think this has
- 20:29Speaker 4: gained some popularity and it is such a wonderful idea.
- 20:34Speaker 4: Laura said, it's not a national holiday, but everyone should
- 20:38Speaker 4: get the Monday off after the super Bowl. The super
- 20:41Speaker 4: Bowl is such a fun time with family. Then we
- 20:43Speaker 4: have to work the next day, so we should just
- 20:46Speaker 4: have it off. That's a super Monday. Yeah, yeah, super Monday,
- 20:51Speaker 4: and you have it off, Angie. If I could decide
- 20:54Speaker 4: a national holiday that everyone had off, I think i'd
- 20:57Speaker 4: plant it in August.
- 20:58Speaker 1: Okay, just because they're really is they're a holiday in August.
- 21:02Speaker 2: No, you're like going back to school in August.
- 21:04Speaker 4: Yeah, right, I think we need the second Friday. Okay,
- 21:08Speaker 4: in August, so you get yourself a little three day weekend.
- 21:11Speaker 4: We're it's just national cancel all your plans day. You
- 21:15Speaker 4: woke up and you thought, I gotta do some chores
- 21:17Speaker 4: at house around the house. I gotta run and do
- 21:19Speaker 4: some errands, And no, you're gonna sit in your bean
- 21:22Speaker 4: bag naked eating cheetos all day. And you're gonna do nothing.
- 21:25Speaker 4: You're canceling everything. Brunch with the girlies canceled, kids t
- 21:29Speaker 4: ball practice canceled. I like that, Little Sarah's soccer game canceled.
- 21:33Speaker 4: Everyone just enjoys their their August, their second Friday in
- 21:36Speaker 4: August to gear up for a big school year.
- 21:38Speaker 2: Listen, this may not be a national holiday, but I'm
- 21:40Speaker 2: putting in my PTO today.
- 21:46Speaker 1: I starting off the day with something good.
- 21:51Speaker 3: This is Gabe's good News on Big ninety eight point seven.
- 21:56Speaker 4: For the last six years, this man named John Shaw
- 22:00Speaker 4: has become a familiar site at a busy corner in
- 22:03Speaker 4: his neighborhood, where he stands each weekday morning holding handmade
- 22:09Speaker 4: signs with positive messages. He started the effort aiming to
- 22:13Speaker 4: spread kindness and connection in his community, and he's created
- 22:17Speaker 4: nearly one hundred signs, including messages like love your Neighbor
- 22:22Speaker 4: and broken crayons still color and stands at the intersection
- 22:26Speaker 4: for about an hour each morning. The signs have drawn
- 22:30Speaker 4: attention from passing drivers and neighbors who respond with hanks,
- 22:33Speaker 4: waves and gestures of support, and residents say they appreciate
- 22:36Speaker 4: the uplifting messages and the sense of connection that these
- 22:40Speaker 4: signs bring to the community. Shaw has also used his
- 22:43Speaker 4: signs to acknowledge local events, including honoring a well known
- 22:48Speaker 4: bear who was recently had to be put down after
- 22:50Speaker 4: being deemed a public safety threat by state authorities. He
- 22:54Speaker 4: says the messages are often ones he feels he needs
- 22:57Speaker 4: to hear himself, and he focuses on encouraging positivity and
- 23:01Speaker 4: mental well being. And I love this from John. This
- 23:04Speaker 4: is like his almost his own version of games good
- 23:07Speaker 4: News of the day. So very very sweet and cool
- 23:09Speaker 4: to see someone else spreading a little positivity. And I
- 23:12Speaker 4: think that's gonna be one of my new favorite quotes.
- 23:14Speaker 2: I really love that. I think it is underestimated sometimes
- 23:19Speaker 2: how much words of affirmation can really change someone's day.
- 23:23Speaker 2: So this is really sweet.
- 23:24Speaker 4: Broken crayon still Color is wonderful. So I think we're
- 23:28Speaker 4: going to be adding that here. How we end the
- 23:30Speaker 4: show every day? Hey, Broken crans are still Color And
- 23:34Speaker 4: the world is full of nice people. If you can't
- 23:36Speaker 4: find one, you gotta be one.
