- 2:32Speaker 5: I never never, I never.
- 2:34Speaker 2: Put it out. Don Tyler, Damn.
- 2:38Speaker 5: We used to record in my house, but by the
- 2:40Speaker 5: time I never put it out just because of.
- 2:44Speaker 2: I was helping break the music.
- 2:47Speaker 5: So sometimes when you break it and you seeing it grow,
- 2:49Speaker 5: you don't want to just drop the record right away.
- 2:52Speaker 2: But I didn't learned my lesson. I should have dropped
- 2:54Speaker 2: all three of them records.
- 2:55Speaker 5: That month, you know. But by the time he got
- 2:59Speaker 5: with Cactus Jack and Travis Scott. You know, it's just
- 3:02Speaker 5: it's it's so many, it's so many like once you up,
- 3:05Speaker 5: there's certain things you can't do. So but me and
- 3:08Speaker 5: me and him still tight. I just I was out
- 3:10Speaker 5: there working on this project and stuff, so we're still cool.
- 3:13Speaker 5: But I should have dropped him three records we did right.
- 3:15Speaker 4: Away because he's on his way to super start.
- 3:18Speaker 2: He a nigga.
- 3:19Speaker 4: He a nigga for sure.
- 3:20Speaker 2: I seen him in concert. Who was that future? Right, Yeah, bro,
- 3:26Speaker 2: Yeah for sure for sure.
- 3:27Speaker 3: Obviously you know I'm saying, represent you got a little
- 3:29Speaker 3: bit of Ohio tie too, so you know a little
- 3:31Speaker 3: bit about the Midwest too, Man, tell him about it.
- 3:33Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 3:34Speaker 5: Yeah, I grew up in Youngstown. When I was I
- 3:37Speaker 5: did like five years there. My mom used to you know,
- 3:40Speaker 5: she had a little boyfriend out there. So man, that
- 3:42Speaker 5: ship was. I ain't gonna lie when when we got here.
- 3:46Speaker 2: This feels good.
- 3:46Speaker 5: But back when I was in Youngstown, that ship like
- 3:50Speaker 5: you in the country, a lot of niggas.
- 3:53Speaker 6: What it ain't too many of these niggas hold on
- 3:58Speaker 6: Youngstown is more like your a hole. He don't know
- 4:00Speaker 6: what your I heard.
- 4:02Speaker 2: About terror Hold the girl at the gas station. Just
- 4:04Speaker 2: tell me about terror.
- 4:05Speaker 5: Ho you.
- 4:08Speaker 2: Girl, tell you about terror? Hold's crazy. It's not a definition, no,
- 4:12Speaker 2: but what age.
- 4:14Speaker 5: Probably like from like ten to fourteen type she not
- 4:18Speaker 5: for real? Yeah, yeah, now I used to it was.
- 4:20Speaker 2: It was real grimy like where I'm at in Texas.
- 4:25Speaker 2: It's hood.
- 4:26Speaker 5: But we ain't grow up as fast as we did there.
- 4:28Speaker 5: Like when I got the youngest town I might have been,
- 4:31Speaker 5: I was still like a little kid, and it used
- 4:33Speaker 5: to be girls trying to fuck me.
- 4:34Speaker 2: You feel me?
- 4:35Speaker 5: I used to be like, damn, you touch my private parts.
- 4:39Speaker 5: I tell my mom, RealD. Shout out to the Midwest.
- 4:45Speaker 2: They have moving fast. They had babies at like sixteen.
- 4:48Speaker 3: They just had apartments when I was in high school.
- 4:51Speaker 3: Girls had kids when I was in middle school, for sure.
- 4:55Speaker 2: Shout to the baby fat jackets.
- 4:56Speaker 6: But that makes sense though, Ni, because when I be
- 4:58Speaker 6: going to I'm like, damn, my friend, like him though
- 5:00Speaker 6: none of y'all got kids. How y'all niggas touching all
- 5:03Speaker 6: these girls like.
- 5:04Speaker 4: They got no kids.
- 5:05Speaker 2: That's crazy crazy.
- 5:07Speaker 4: You got to get your baby, mama, and that.
- 5:09Speaker 2: It was guaranteed.
- 5:10Speaker 3: Right.
- 5:11Speaker 4: I'm so glad they live here when I.
- 5:12Speaker 3: Was like growing up.
- 5:14Speaker 4: Yeah, it's one of.
- 5:14Speaker 2: A few, man I got out of here. You were
- 5:16Speaker 2: supposed to be a yeah, I was supposed to have definitely,
- 5:19Speaker 2: damn yeah, child, supply hear you straight?
- 5:26Speaker 1: Though?
- 5:27Speaker 2: You good?
- 5:27Speaker 3: You're good in Texas though I heard in Texas you
- 5:29Speaker 3: only can pay twenty five hundreds.
- 5:31Speaker 2: That's right, they made She.
- 5:34Speaker 3: Said we had a thing like so it was a
- 5:37Speaker 3: dude that who named Roddy Bubah.
- 5:39Speaker 2: Yeah you hah.
- 5:40Speaker 3: The girl pregnant and she tried to move to California,
- 5:42Speaker 3: but they said the baby was conceiving Texas or the
- 5:44Speaker 3: Michigan give me is true?
- 5:45Speaker 4: Yea, it is true. That's yeah, that's true.
- 5:48Speaker 2: Bro.
- 5:48Speaker 4: Twenty five of where the baby where? That's the child
- 5:51Speaker 4: sports rules aligned with where the baby is born?
- 5:54Speaker 1: No matter ah, sh what have been tripping?
- 5:58Speaker 4: So you get a girl pregnant in Youngstown can move
- 6:00Speaker 4: to l A. You still have got a youngsterwn Bill.
- 6:03Speaker 3: All right, the young support probably about twelve hundred.
- 6:11Speaker 2: That's probably how it Isn't that.
- 6:15Speaker 4: Mistake?
- 6:16Speaker 2: Now?
- 6:16Speaker 4: Bro, I don't know.
- 6:17Speaker 2: I don't know. I ain't worried about the shout to
- 6:19Speaker 2: the volume. I'm gonna be married for your kid, though,
- 6:22Speaker 2: I'm gonna do it right when it's time. And I
- 6:24Speaker 2: said there too, you don't do that, that's trash.
- 6:27Speaker 4: Got no kid?
- 6:27Speaker 2: I be feeling though, Yeah, I ain't got no kids.
- 6:30Speaker 4: Ship him both, yeah, good ship step.
- 6:34Speaker 2: That is out of pocket. Ain't got no kids. Yeah, nah, stepdaddy.
- 6:39Speaker 5: I said there last night in my segway at the show,
- 6:42Speaker 5: and I asked the woman like, who had kids? And
- 6:44Speaker 5: I told him like, I'm I'm a hell of a stepdaddy,
- 6:47Speaker 5: because it's true, like.
- 6:48Speaker 2: I'm at that age now where I rather to take
- 6:50Speaker 2: care of something.
- 6:51Speaker 5: If you if if we can do that, then we
- 6:54Speaker 5: can have something.
- 6:54Speaker 2: But I got to practice with your kids. I like
- 6:57Speaker 2: your stuff, but mean you got the same type of mind.
- 7:00Speaker 3: Cool, so you have to you have to show you
- 7:01Speaker 3: know what I'm saying. You're getting your shirt off you like,
- 7:03Speaker 3: I'm stall daddy. Now, what's the limit on them?
- 7:05Speaker 2: Kids? Though?
- 7:05Speaker 3: When she come with them them digits. What's the what's
- 7:09Speaker 3: the stepdad like? Because you ain't hopping in the full
- 7:11Speaker 3: court my five.
- 7:12Speaker 2: Situation, no, no, no nine. It might it might. The
- 7:16Speaker 2: limit might be like two, but you gotta be at
- 7:18Speaker 2: a control too.
- 7:19Speaker 5: I love one, I can take one, but if you
- 7:22Speaker 5: can't control too, like I know this one girl who
- 7:25Speaker 5: got a child.
- 7:27Speaker 2: And she raised so well, like it fucked me up.
- 7:30Speaker 5: Sometimes it'd be like the little girl smart, the little
- 7:34Speaker 5: girl respectable. Like when she the little girl be calling
- 7:37Speaker 5: me mister, I can't say my real name.
- 7:40Speaker 2: She be calling me by mister.
- 7:41Speaker 5: She yes, ma'am, no, ma'am, yes, sir, no sir, and
- 7:45Speaker 5: that shit be she read the Bible. Sometimes I'd be like, man,
- 7:48Speaker 5: I'd be like, man, that's the type of woman I
- 7:50Speaker 5: would like to have kids with because she gonna raise
- 7:52Speaker 5: my children. She'd be teaching that ship. And I'm like, man,
- 7:55Speaker 5: women don't take the time out to do that shit
- 7:57Speaker 5: with their kids. No more them women type.
- 8:00Speaker 1: That's true, bro, But it always be the phone was
- 8:03Speaker 1: that got the badass kids, Like.
- 8:04Speaker 3: We got to my wife, man.
- 8:10Speaker 6: We got we got both. It's a lot of wholesome
- 8:12Speaker 6: women that take care of women too. But we got
- 8:14Speaker 6: a bunch of sexy reds too out here.
- 8:18Speaker 4: You know what I'm saying.
- 8:21Speaker 3: What I'm saying, it's a bunch of sexy yeah, me
- 8:26Speaker 3: and boy, it won't be no sexy red slander and.
- 8:33Speaker 2: President see sexy one of them people too.
- 8:39Speaker 5: We never did a song, but I did a lot
- 8:43Speaker 5: of songs for her with her in the studio and ship.
- 8:46Speaker 5: But I never just dropped the verse. But I you know,
- 8:49Speaker 5: a real disclaim that nobody knows. I never got paid
- 8:52Speaker 5: for none of the songs either. So when I look
- 8:54Speaker 5: at life, I be like, I just love that I
- 8:57Speaker 5: never got paid because I'm like, man, that makes the
- 9:00Speaker 5: relationship even better.
- 9:01Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, because somebody owe me a favor. I don't
- 9:05Speaker 2: know who he is, but.
- 9:06Speaker 5: Whoever the fuck orchestrated that session, Hey man, I was
- 9:11Speaker 5: a believer early, right.
- 9:13Speaker 4: But it was just you and g Herb about nigga.
- 9:15Speaker 4: That was it.
- 9:16Speaker 2: And I might have been before G.
- 9:18Speaker 5: This is twenty twenty, okay, well yeah, and I was like,
- 9:21Speaker 5: you know what's crazy?
- 9:22Speaker 3: I was.
- 9:23Speaker 5: I had asked my manager and this is how y'all know,
- 9:26Speaker 5: like a nigga be really in a good mind space.
- 9:29Speaker 5: This is twenty twenty. I had the biggest record at
- 9:34Speaker 5: the time.
- 9:34Speaker 2: I was on Billboard I one.
- 9:36Speaker 5: Then I had like a Fredo Bang and Little Dirk
- 9:38Speaker 5: record that was super crazy. Yeah, and I and I
- 9:43Speaker 5: was in the studio with Sexy Red that nobody knew.
- 9:46Speaker 5: And that's what I call humble because every time I
- 9:49Speaker 5: think of that situation, I used.
- 9:51Speaker 2: To wonder, like, damn, bro, I really be going do shit.
- 9:55Speaker 5: But I be seeing it. I be seeing the future.
- 9:57Speaker 5: I'll be seeing the vision. But a lot of people don't.
- 9:59Speaker 2: A lot of people be like I used to get
- 10:00Speaker 2: people like why why the fuck you in the studio?
- 10:03Speaker 2: Like I would get around that time.
- 10:05Speaker 5: It would be people that are popping in Miami, and
- 10:07Speaker 5: they'd be like you in Miami and I'm like yeah,
- 10:09Speaker 5: and they'd be like pull up to my session.
- 10:10Speaker 2: I'm like, nah, I can't. I got a session with
- 10:12Speaker 2: sixty Red And at the time, bitch just be like,
- 10:15Speaker 2: who the fuck nigga come to my session.
- 10:18Speaker 5: I ain't gonna say no names. But and they they
- 10:21Speaker 5: was a group and they was popping. So when I
- 10:23Speaker 5: go to the studio with Sexy Red lock and get
- 10:26Speaker 5: it done, everybody like, why, why the fuck you ain't
- 10:30Speaker 5: skip that to go to that, and now I look
- 10:32Speaker 5: at life and I'd be like, man, I'm glad I
- 10:33Speaker 5: make sound decisions.
- 10:34Speaker 2: Bro, bro, And that's real shit.
- 10:36Speaker 3: And that's what we talk about all the time here
- 10:38Speaker 3: is like when you networking and you working, it's really
- 10:41Speaker 3: about the people around you and below you. Because the
- 10:44Speaker 3: people above you, it's very rare you get to catch them.
- 10:46Speaker 3: But the next wave of people is always your peer
- 10:48Speaker 3: group and the people coming up. So you always want
- 10:51Speaker 3: to take care of the people around you because they'm
- 10:52Speaker 3: gonna be the people that you're dealing with.
- 10:53Speaker 2: It just like on some school shit.
- 10:55Speaker 3: Yeah, you might not fuck with this dude in the school,
- 10:57Speaker 3: he might be weird whatever, but you got decent relationship
- 10:59Speaker 3: because you go up, he gonna be the motherfucker owner
- 11:01Speaker 3: of that business you're gonna have to have a relationship with.
- 11:03Speaker 3: You never gonna catch him. Executive Lee or Korn ain't
- 11:06Speaker 3: never gonna come down to our level. But the next
- 11:08Speaker 3: level of people you showing love shit Like you said
- 11:10Speaker 3: that back, favorite pocket, bra.
- 11:12Speaker 5: I love the way you think my whole career, Like
- 11:15Speaker 5: when I think about who I am today, my whole
- 11:17Speaker 5: career was built off people that nobody gave a fuck
- 11:21Speaker 5: about and I had to sit there and like when
- 11:23Speaker 5: I this is my number one thing. I got a
- 11:26Speaker 5: partner that did a song for Drake right, and I
- 11:29Speaker 5: got more partners that did songs for like Nicki Minaj.
- 11:32Speaker 5: And when they get the flexing on me, they be
- 11:34Speaker 5: They always compare us who got the most hits? You
- 11:36Speaker 5: were him, you were him? You and him who the
- 11:38Speaker 5: most influential producer? And I always look niggas in their
- 11:42Speaker 5: eyes and I'd be like, you know, y'all really don't
- 11:45Speaker 5: count because y'all accidentally got a Drake placement. I made
- 11:49Speaker 5: Drakes were different, and I was fucking with niggas below me,
- 11:54Speaker 5: and they got diamond songs, Like.
- 11:58Speaker 2: Fuck with you talking about y'all got niggas who.
- 12:01Speaker 5: Had diamond songs already, they was gonna continue being diamond.
- 12:04Speaker 5: I made niggas who was dirt diamond and they still
- 12:08Speaker 5: going Dimond and I dine made a couple of them.
- 12:10Speaker 5: Because when you plan down here, you can make a couple.
- 12:14Speaker 5: But if you study shooting for Beyonce, jay Z, Drake Man,
- 12:17Speaker 5: you might have two songs that you get out of them,
- 12:20Speaker 5: because you know that's just how the world worked.
- 12:22Speaker 2: But I always tell young producers.
- 12:24Speaker 5: Man, y'all niggas need to play down here, man, Like
- 12:27Speaker 5: it's gonna be another one and it's easier to get
- 12:29Speaker 5: to them.
- 12:30Speaker 2: So I like the way you think.
- 12:32Speaker 3: Man, you talked about you know what I'm saying, going
- 12:34Speaker 3: crazy with you know what I'm saying, one of your
- 12:36Speaker 3: biggest records.
- 12:37Speaker 2: How did that come to fruition?
- 12:38Speaker 3: Because I know you produced, but what made you kind
- 12:40Speaker 3: of step out of like, nah, this's gonna be mine.
- 12:44Speaker 2: I've always been an artist since I was a kid.
- 12:48Speaker 5: I was rapping, but somewhere down the line, I had
- 12:52Speaker 5: an A and R convinced me to write songs and
- 12:54Speaker 5: he was just like, bro, what do you care about?
- 12:57Speaker 5: You care about? You want to be famous? Do you
- 12:59Speaker 5: want the money? And at the time when you broke
- 13:03Speaker 5: it used to hurt to know, like, man, I I
- 13:05Speaker 5: wrote this and that nigga shining and nobody knows I
- 13:08Speaker 5: did that shit and.
- 13:09Speaker 2: I'm I got to check I got a plaque.
- 13:12Speaker 5: But he convinced me successfully to worry about the money
- 13:15Speaker 5: and I started making money. But when I got to
- 13:18Speaker 5: like when I seen my first m it was like, Okay,
- 13:21Speaker 5: this is God telling me that I've done my job.
- 13:24Speaker 5: And I need to figure out how to make sure
- 13:26Speaker 5: people don't forget that I'm talented as well. So that's
- 13:30Speaker 5: how I ended up getting my first hit. I had
- 13:32Speaker 5: spent like man that it was crazy. I had my
- 13:35Speaker 5: niece and my girl. We was sitting in a in
- 13:38Speaker 5: in my little house at the time, and I used
- 13:41Speaker 5: to make them get on TikTok and we would like
- 13:44Speaker 5: we were broker TikTok.
- 13:46Speaker 2: Videos all day.
- 13:47Speaker 5: We would literally send messages get little kids to do
- 13:50Speaker 5: videos for thirty to forty dollars, and we did that
- 13:53Speaker 5: for like three weeks and blew the song up. I
- 13:57Speaker 5: probably spent like eight bands. Everybody think I spent the
- 13:59Speaker 5: world of money. I spent the world of money on
- 14:01Speaker 5: keeping it going, But the initial impact of blowing that
- 14:04Speaker 5: record up, I probably spend like a bans And that's
- 14:07Speaker 5: crazy because people don't understand investing in yourself don't always
- 14:11Speaker 5: mean spend it a shit ton of money, maybe a
- 14:13Speaker 5: shit ton of time, because shit, we don't know shit
- 14:16Speaker 5: about the TikTok. I know what it is you're on
- 14:18Speaker 5: there and stuff, But in that time period youre talking
- 14:20Speaker 5: about twenty nineteen twenty twenty, you was early in the
- 14:22Speaker 5: landscape and who knew that the world was about to
- 14:24Speaker 5: shut the fuck down. So it's like you getting stocked
- 14:27Speaker 5: in a company that shot the fuck up. You just
- 14:29Speaker 5: have to put your product in it. But then also,
- 14:31Speaker 5: like you said, you had to spend money in your records.
- 14:32Speaker 3: People don't understand. You do not get those billboard placements.
- 14:35Speaker 3: You do not get those radio spends off your song just
- 14:37Speaker 3: being good.
- 14:37Speaker 5: Hell no, no, you you got to drop the bag.
- 14:41Speaker 5: And I tell people even one that's better if you
- 14:44Speaker 5: actually do it yourself, it'll be more cost effective.
- 14:48Speaker 2: Like a lot of.
- 14:49Speaker 5: Times people, I mean, every every nigga with money can
- 14:53Speaker 5: attest to this. There's a lot of times you can
- 14:55Speaker 5: hand somebody some money, but you realize that they don't
- 14:57Speaker 5: give a fuck about your money. So they don't wake
- 14:59Speaker 5: up every day and theme for making that shit back.
- 15:02Speaker 2: They don't. It's not no desire to make your money
- 15:06Speaker 2: make money.
- 15:06Speaker 5: But when you're doing it yourself, you're gonna lose sleep
- 15:09Speaker 5: until you get that bag back. So I mean, at
- 15:12Speaker 5: that time, it just checked out, And when it did,
- 15:14Speaker 5: it was so crazy because my little niece ain't never,
- 15:17Speaker 5: you know, she ain't ever.
- 15:18Speaker 2: She don't even know what money looked like me. But
- 15:21Speaker 2: she's like thirteen at the time.
- 15:22Speaker 5: As soon as it went uh when it went gold
- 15:25Speaker 5: or broke off, and she was just like she was
- 15:27Speaker 5: like as a kid.
- 15:29Speaker 2: You know, there's a lot of red type shit.
- 15:30Speaker 4: What you enjoyed more performing or making a record?
- 15:34Speaker 5: I like performing because I want to be more. The
- 15:39Speaker 5: reason why my name is DJ Chose because I feel
- 15:41Speaker 5: like God shows me. And when I look at music,
- 15:44Speaker 5: I think of influence and power. So I know as
- 15:48Speaker 5: a songwriter, I'm effective because I can like see a
- 15:53Speaker 5: message through the airways. But I like when I can
- 15:56Speaker 5: actually influence the world because I feel like I got
- 16:00Speaker 5: good intentions and I feel like it's a lot of
- 16:01Speaker 5: people that influenced the world and they got so much power,
- 16:04Speaker 5: but man, they don't give a funk about the next person.
- 16:07Speaker 2: I do you feel me?
- 16:08Speaker 5: Every night after I perform, I go to the merch table,
- 16:11Speaker 5: I shake hands, kiss babies, do it all that ship
- 16:13Speaker 5: so because.
- 16:13Speaker 6: You one of the only producers for real, Like I
- 16:15Speaker 6: funk with your ship, bro, And I ain't just you're here,
- 16:18Speaker 6: but that you actually on records like you got anthems.
- 16:22Speaker 6: I just told sEH y'all doing the little Georgia Street tonight.
- 16:25Speaker 6: But I told you like you can rock the crowd, nigga,
- 16:28Speaker 6: you can perform and appreciate, spend your ship like you
- 16:31Speaker 6: know what I mean. You got at least I ain't
- 16:34Speaker 6: short changed you. I'm like, niggat least can go for
- 16:36Speaker 6: a right too.
- 16:39Speaker 4: Ashak shaking music.
- 16:43Speaker 1: Though for real, you gotta watch it.
- 16:57Speaker 4: Oh yeah, shout out to the jabblewalkers. You feel me.
- 17:03Speaker 6: But now you like one of the only producers for real.
- 17:06Speaker 6: Now I ain't discredited nobody that no perform and get
- 17:10Speaker 6: behind the scenes special records.
- 17:11Speaker 1: It had the video bait like it was a cut.
- 17:14Speaker 3: How was that your biggest Like when your biggest song
- 17:17Speaker 3: at the time period, You're just like, damn, I be
- 17:19Speaker 3: going crazy with the video.
- 17:20Speaker 5: They want to see it and they're like, nah, you
- 17:21Speaker 5: can't post this on me. Yeah yeah nah they uh,
- 17:24Speaker 5: they took them out. They be banning my video sometime.
- 17:27Speaker 2: But man, I just look at it like now I'm
- 17:30Speaker 2: trying to clean up. I'm trying to clean up my image.
- 17:32Speaker 5: I missed so much money with having a song that
- 17:35Speaker 5: having videos they do like fifty two million, one hundred
- 17:38Speaker 5: million views and shit, and I can't make money because
- 17:41Speaker 5: it's unmonetizable.
- 17:43Speaker 2: YouTube got us.
- 17:44Speaker 5: Yeah, so I'm learning my life and I'm now where
- 17:46Speaker 5: I'm at. I'm just more like y'all pit on close,
- 17:50Speaker 5: Like I don't eve want to shoot the video of
- 17:51Speaker 5: y'all aint gonna win.
- 17:51Speaker 3: On clubs obviously, hdown and Florence Man the screw type
- 17:55Speaker 3: eras like that type of music heavy Indianapolis crazy because
- 18:00Speaker 3: we fuck with that type of music, those type of
- 18:01Speaker 3: mixt types. You think mixed type eras could ever be
- 18:04Speaker 3: like that again with the way that they do, like
- 18:06Speaker 3: regulations for is monetizer for music.
- 18:09Speaker 5: Nah, I don't think we should either, real, I don't
- 18:12Speaker 5: think I don't think that, like because right now the
- 18:15Speaker 5: world is like a mixtape if you look at how
- 18:17Speaker 5: much music.
- 18:18Speaker 2: Come out and I don't know why, but we can't
- 18:22Speaker 2: keep up with it, Like hell, do you feel like, let's.
- 18:26Speaker 5: Be honest, y'all, remember when we used to consume music
- 18:29Speaker 5: as kids, Like we literally used to consume music week
- 18:33Speaker 5: for week, and we still love the people we consume
- 18:37Speaker 5: right now, I swear it's like only room for one.
- 18:41Speaker 5: You get a Sexy Red or like when Sexy Red came,
- 18:45Speaker 5: she replaced somebody I don't.
- 18:46Speaker 2: Care when nobody.
- 18:49Speaker 5: And I didn't say that, you did, Okay, So if
- 18:52Speaker 5: that's how y'all feel, and the neck goes.
- 18:57Speaker 3: As a playable character of the nigga got a Golilla
- 19:01Speaker 3: moskin in two k's out of pocket.
- 19:03Speaker 2: But now he was saying, so we.
- 19:06Speaker 5: Don't have a capacity right now to consumers like much music.
- 19:10Speaker 5: But when we was kids, I'm sorry if it fucking
- 19:17Speaker 5: Lil Wayne, Comellionaire, Mike, whoever that anybody liked, if they
- 19:23Speaker 5: dropped pow wah whatever, we would consume all their music,
- 19:26Speaker 5: and we would never we would have comparison conversations.
- 19:29Speaker 2: But you loved who you love it.
- 19:31Speaker 5: You weren't changing who you was fucking with just because
- 19:33Speaker 5: they ain't put out no music in a week.
- 19:35Speaker 2: Yeah, and we would play.
- 19:36Speaker 4: Them two months. Yeah, play a Lil Wayne now, my.
- 19:41Speaker 3: Mama, I played dedication to yesterday. I play I play nothing, nothing,
- 19:46Speaker 3: consume a lot of music like twenty twelve.
- 19:50Speaker 4: I'll stay up today with ship bro. I don't take
- 19:53Speaker 4: that I agree with what you're saying as a whole
- 19:56Speaker 4: world or goddamn it away. Yeah, absolutely, mic Awave, But
- 20:01Speaker 4: I say tapped in with everybody.
- 20:03Speaker 2: I'm gonna tell you why I'm saying what I'm saying.
- 20:06Speaker 5: I feel like, back then this is the trick, y'all.
- 20:11Speaker 5: Back then you could market yourself without an algorithm. So
- 20:18Speaker 5: so when you can come out the trunk or if
- 20:21Speaker 5: let's just say a nigga had a show at a concert,
- 20:24Speaker 5: let's just say Kevin Gates boom, he just had his concert.
- 20:27Speaker 5: Let's say we in the world of CDs, Kevin Gates
- 20:30Speaker 5: can reach his audience every day if he wanted to,
- 20:33Speaker 5: if he just wanted to go on tour and out
- 20:36Speaker 5: the trunk sell CDs right now, you can't give a
- 20:40Speaker 5: motherfucker nothing.
- 20:41Speaker 2: You couldn't.
- 20:42Speaker 5: I couldn't give him a fucker coupon for a new car.
- 20:45Speaker 5: They would literally be like thank you and drop it
- 20:48Speaker 5: wouldn't know what it was.
- 20:50Speaker 2: So I think now that we.
- 20:51Speaker 5: Depending on algorithms and things like that. It's not that
- 20:56Speaker 5: people don't stay up with things. It's just like if
- 20:59Speaker 5: sexy Read is running things, then sometimes it's hard to
- 21:02Speaker 5: see gloiala like you would say. So I think technically
- 21:08Speaker 5: it's about if whoever is man handling the moment, that's
- 21:13Speaker 5: who's important.
- 21:14Speaker 2: Like Drake is man handling the moment. Y'all know what
- 21:16Speaker 2: made me say, damn, Drake this.
- 21:20Speaker 5: Y'all want to know what made me forget about Drake's
- 21:22Speaker 5: album and Drake's tour when Kevin Gates spinning that bit
- 21:26Speaker 5: mouth ill like, damn, I don't care about the Drake
- 21:30Speaker 5: album right now. All I care about is Kevin Gates
- 21:32Speaker 5: spitting this some one's mouth.
- 21:34Speaker 2: That's crazy.
- 21:36Speaker 1: You was obviously on tour with Bro. Did you see
- 21:38Speaker 1: that library? Did you see afterwards?
- 21:41Speaker 2: That's all live? I was actually the crap I wasn't.
- 21:44Speaker 3: Was because wass man, y'all gotta understand, Gates is my dog.
- 21:50Speaker 5: A lot of people are scared to talk about him
- 21:53Speaker 5: in podcasts and stuff.
- 21:54Speaker 2: We really like this, so I don't care about speaking
- 21:58Speaker 2: on things.
- 21:59Speaker 3: Uh.
- 22:00Speaker 5: When I think of Gates, I think I don't think
- 22:04Speaker 5: what people think. A lot of people are gonna turn
- 22:06Speaker 5: it into some different shiit.
- 22:07Speaker 2: Like ah, he demonic he is he did.
- 22:09Speaker 5: I don't see it that way. I just see it
- 22:11Speaker 5: as someone who understands. He understands when when you know
- 22:21Speaker 5: what the world is on, he get it. I just
- 22:24Speaker 5: feel like some people get it, some people don't. And
- 22:26Speaker 5: if I had that kind of power, I wouldn't have
- 22:28Speaker 5: did it how he did it. I like how he
- 22:30Speaker 5: doing it now when he doing the Champagne and he's
- 22:32Speaker 5: spending their mouth. See the first day, I feel like
- 22:34Speaker 5: all of our show was kind of like we was.
- 22:37Speaker 5: We were just having a good time. We was doing
- 22:39Speaker 5: our we what we planning to do. But I and
- 22:43Speaker 5: I we nobody knew nothing about this. I ain't gonna
- 22:45Speaker 5: lie that I never knew nothing by that. That ain't
- 22:50Speaker 5: I'm saying, Like the way I play my show, that's
- 22:52Speaker 5: how I went that day. However, his show was, That's
- 22:54Speaker 5: how it went for me. The second day, I dockted
- 22:58Speaker 5: my show a little bit. I'm not saying he playing
- 23:00Speaker 5: that at all, But what I will say is that
- 23:02Speaker 5: the second show, I like, how you doing it now
- 23:06Speaker 5: where he ship to Champagne and he you know what
- 23:08Speaker 5: I'm saying, And that's just really for me. That's what
- 23:10Speaker 5: I call, like I want to say, like power and influence,
- 23:14Speaker 5: like when you know these fans look, or when you
- 23:17Speaker 5: know someone loves you that much and you can give
- 23:19Speaker 5: them that kind of experience.
- 23:20Speaker 2: These the same women that want to want to kiss him.
- 23:22Speaker 6: But he was the first nigga too that really made
- 23:24Speaker 6: eat booty cool publicly when he said that ship, the
- 23:27Speaker 6: internet wouldn't up and up and I ain't.
- 23:29Speaker 2: Gonna hold you.
- 23:30Speaker 1: He he the Gates long time. So he's an early
- 23:33Speaker 1: Gates fan.
- 23:33Speaker 4: I'm a fan.
- 23:34Speaker 2: Yeahs tough.
- 23:35Speaker 4: He's one of the guts, bro, Luca Bronxi, don't do that.
- 23:40Speaker 4: You know that intro used to be your ship.
- 23:42Speaker 6: Like, okay, don't start sucking up your pos.
- 23:48Speaker 2: It won't be no Kevin gatesland. My little brother loved.
- 23:54Speaker 4: Hild Brand.
- 23:56Speaker 6: Yeah, niggas was around like Kevin Gates is go. But
- 23:58Speaker 6: I'm saying like, I just think now the internet was
- 24:01Speaker 6: when he said that eat the booty shit, it went't crazy,
- 24:03Speaker 6: but the internet just so crazy now.
- 24:06Speaker 5: I think what I'm trying to say is I think
- 24:10Speaker 5: I like Gates because he's always ahead of the culture.
- 24:12Speaker 2: M you feel me.
- 24:14Speaker 5: The shit he doing is it is literally some shit
- 24:18Speaker 5: niggas been doing. But no, not like a lot of niggas.
- 24:22Speaker 2: Now it's going.
- 24:23Speaker 5: I'm telling you, any nigga that had a problem with
- 24:25Speaker 5: that situation, watch what I tell I'm about to go
- 24:28Speaker 5: do it. As soon as I get off to her,
- 24:29Speaker 5: I'm gonna fly, my I'm gonna.
- 24:31Speaker 2: Fly my queen. I was about to say, my bitch
- 24:33Speaker 2: gonna fly my queen to some foreign country.
- 24:36Speaker 5: I'm gonna pop some fucking I don't know what because
- 24:38Speaker 5: I don't drink, but I'm gonna do it to day.
- 24:40Speaker 2: I'm gonna pop it.
- 24:40Speaker 5: I'm gonna sit the champagne and I'm gonna make her
- 24:43Speaker 5: to the head back and say, if you love me,
- 24:44Speaker 5: you're gonna let me spit this in your mouth. And
- 24:46Speaker 5: she's gonna say, I love you, and I'm gonna spit
- 24:47Speaker 5: it in my mouth and I might go viral to day.
- 24:50Speaker 5: But he be leading the culture.
- 24:51Speaker 2: And I hate to say it because women behave me but.
- 24:56Speaker 5: Not being against the things he do. But it'd be like,
- 25:00Speaker 5: you bitch just gonna do it anyway, y'all just gonna
- 25:02Speaker 5: do it in five years. He's just doing it today.
- 25:06Speaker 4: It is crazy.
- 25:07Speaker 1: I think this the only thing I.
- 25:09Speaker 4: Got his changes on. But to shout out to you
- 25:12Speaker 4: freaky chose.
- 25:14Speaker 5: Man, Hey man, I'm just telling you, man, Hey, I'm
- 25:19Speaker 5: a nigga. I'm a nigga who used to watch like
- 25:23Speaker 5: Extreme Tube. You feel me, And I don't know if
- 25:25Speaker 5: your nigga know.
- 25:28Speaker 3: I told you my computer got banned for that ship
- 25:30Speaker 3: to wait. It took my computer because of that ship.
- 25:33Speaker 2: Hey man, they've been spitting the mouths on extreme.
- 25:38Speaker 4: Over there and I FaceTime over there, and I.
- 25:44Speaker 3: Love Gates, but the only thing I gotta be for
- 25:45Speaker 3: gazed with. I don't believe that he fixed that girl
- 25:47Speaker 3: card he fixed up. I don't believe what's scored one hundred.
- 25:54Speaker 3: I don't believe the gas nothing.
- 25:58Speaker 2: I gotta see it. Let me tell you this, and
- 26:00Speaker 2: I can't. I'm not. I'm not gonna say too much
- 26:02Speaker 2: because I was there, so I'm not a not about
- 26:06Speaker 2: the car. Car.
- 26:11Speaker 5: But it's a lot of suck, bro, I ain't gonna lie.
- 26:14Speaker 5: It's a lot of ship that I don't like. I
- 26:18Speaker 5: am The one thing y'all don't get is I am
- 26:21Speaker 5: the number one.
- 26:22Speaker 2: Look Gates in his eyes and really really try to
- 26:26Speaker 2: like tell him he didn't do something like I'm the guy.
- 26:29Speaker 2: I will look him in his eyes and be like, man,
- 26:31Speaker 2: stop lying, and he will like he'll laugh and then
- 26:34Speaker 2: he'll like show me right.
- 26:36Speaker 5: But in this case, one day I seen and I'm
- 26:38Speaker 5: not supposed to talk about it because he told me
- 26:40Speaker 5: to speak none nothing. But today I'm gonna speak some
- 26:43Speaker 5: of it's been a long time, so it's it's but
- 26:46Speaker 5: I literally seen him do something one time that blew
- 26:51Speaker 5: my mind. And I ain't gonna speak on how he
- 26:53Speaker 5: did it, but he literally.
- 26:57Speaker 2: He he let he let somebody punch him in the
- 27:01Speaker 2: chest right.
- 27:02Speaker 5: He was like, uh, he was like, punch me right here,
- 27:06Speaker 5: and he let him punch him in his chest like
- 27:08Speaker 5: twenty times, and he just stood there and was like
- 27:11Speaker 5: and this nigga was big, and he was like, yeah,
- 27:14Speaker 5: I can't feel a thing. And I was like, I'm
- 27:18Speaker 5: sitting there like what the fuck. So I'm we're in
- 27:21Speaker 5: the studio. I'm thinking he about to call me next.
- 27:24Speaker 5: So I'm like at the time, I'm like, Nigga, you
- 27:27Speaker 5: know I'm not finna do it because I'm the kind
- 27:29Speaker 5: of person with when I'm around him, I'm not the
- 27:32Speaker 5: person who you know, you got them friends that try
- 27:34Speaker 5: to play too hard and ah, yeah, if he doing
- 27:36Speaker 5: I'm gonna do it. Like if Gates lived two hundred pounds,
- 27:39Speaker 5: I'm not gonna live too. I don't got shit to
- 27:41Speaker 5: prove it. That's that's why we fuck with each other.
- 27:44Speaker 5: He know that I'm the nigga that if I don't
- 27:46Speaker 5: get with something I don't get with it.
- 27:47Speaker 2: You feel me respect.
- 27:48Speaker 5: But this particular day, the guy that was in the
- 27:51Speaker 5: studio was one of them niggas who didn't know how
- 27:54Speaker 5: to say no.
- 27:54Speaker 2: The Gates I know how to say no. So he
- 27:58Speaker 2: was like, hey, come on, I'm finna show you. I'm
- 28:01Speaker 2: finna show you this. And he he whatever he did,
- 28:06Speaker 2: he did it right. And Gates was like, staying right
- 28:09Speaker 2: there and you stand right there, I promise you ain't
- 28:12Speaker 2: gonna feel a thing. And he hit him, you know,
- 28:17Speaker 2: he big boo, but bruh didn't move. He took that
- 28:23Speaker 2: bitch and then he was like not staying right there,
- 28:26Speaker 2: and Bro was like, I didn't feel it. Boom was
- 28:31Speaker 2: like you feel that, man, I didn't feel it, and
- 28:34Speaker 2: it fucked me up. And these are stories that I
- 28:37Speaker 2: wasn't supposed to speak nothing up. But I hope you
- 28:39Speaker 2: don't get mad at me. But I'm just telling you, sorry, Bro,
- 28:42Speaker 2: when we talk about that car battery, I believe because
- 28:45Speaker 2: whatever the fuck he knows, he might know how to
- 28:48Speaker 2: start a call.
- 28:49Speaker 4: Cleo crawl soak.
- 28:56Speaker 1: I got look, I got testimony, testimony, I was there.
- 29:01Speaker 3: I got a question for you, like who was you
- 29:02Speaker 3: growing like producers like who you grew up like, like
- 29:05Speaker 3: did you have anybody wanted to be like or any sound?
- 29:07Speaker 3: He was like, damn if I could do that, that's
- 29:10Speaker 3: why I want to do it.
- 29:11Speaker 2: Man all the time.
- 29:13Speaker 5: I definitely used to love Paulo to done when he
- 29:15Speaker 5: was having his right. Of course, everybody wanted to be
- 29:20Speaker 5: like Timberlain.
- 29:23Speaker 4: Who else any hometown influences.
- 29:25Speaker 2: Man.
- 29:26Speaker 5: It's a guy named Uncle Hamei who did like a
- 29:28Speaker 5: lot of stuff. And when I was a kid, I
- 29:29Speaker 5: got to work with him and he just raw. You know,
- 29:33Speaker 5: he an older man, but he.
- 29:34Speaker 2: Be in the club.
- 29:35Speaker 5: When I see him in the club now, he be
- 29:37Speaker 5: I think uncle Hommy, like fifty five sixty. He be
- 29:39Speaker 5: in the club just y'all know the old man and
- 29:42Speaker 5: be in the club dance with the young.
- 29:43Speaker 1: Girls in open shirt, open shirt whatever.
- 29:46Speaker 2: And he really gonna get loose and made his energy.
- 29:49Speaker 5: Like when I meet good producers from back in the
- 29:52Speaker 5: days like Jazzy Fadh, they be just livid.
- 29:55Speaker 2: They'd be like they used to make beats with they body.
- 29:58Speaker 5: They didn't just make a beat, they used to feel
- 30:00Speaker 5: it first and then they and then now like these
- 30:04Speaker 5: internet niggas, they think about it, they click it in,
- 30:06Speaker 5: they delete it.
- 30:07Speaker 2: They don't make music with they.
- 30:10Speaker 5: You feel me sometimes if you hit like a top
- 30:12Speaker 5: that sounds super soulful. I was making a beat with
- 30:15Speaker 5: my body.
- 30:16Speaker 2: Bro he did me. Yeah, shit like that. I'm really
- 30:19Speaker 2: in that, bitch.
- 30:20Speaker 5: I feel like music is a feeling, and I like
- 30:23Speaker 5: the older guys who used to have that feeling. Like
- 30:25Speaker 5: right now, so many songs just feel the same way
- 30:29Speaker 5: that they're not trying to explore new feelings.
- 30:32Speaker 2: You feel me, but that ain't no knocks right now.
- 30:34Speaker 2: I love what we're doing right now too.
- 30:36Speaker 3: I got a question for you, who's more artist or
- 30:38Speaker 3: what was a group of people that if you had
- 30:40Speaker 3: your dream list of people you can produce a song for,
- 30:42Speaker 3: who would it be?
- 30:45Speaker 2: Drake first? I would love to work with Drake Drizzy
- 30:52Speaker 2: for show good.
- 30:54Speaker 5: Placement, man, I'm actually happy with my current list. Like
- 30:58Speaker 5: I wouldn't change Kevin Gates for nobody. I wouldn't change
- 31:03Speaker 5: Fred Obang for nobody. I wouldn't change Megan A. Stallion
- 31:06Speaker 5: for nobody, like NBA Young Boy for nobody. When I
- 31:09Speaker 5: look at my life in ten years, they gonna say
- 31:14Speaker 5: I worked with Tupacatis generation, Like when you really look
- 31:17Speaker 5: at life between Kevin Gates, Young Boy and Megan, I
- 31:22Speaker 5: didn't already did everything I needed to do.
- 31:24Speaker 2: That's a real trip or crowd, I got it.
- 31:26Speaker 6: Hold on, I don't mean to cut you off. Did
- 31:27Speaker 6: you work with NBA Young Boy in the studio or
- 31:30Speaker 6: you just send them the record?
- 31:32Speaker 2: I've been with you know what. I did work with
- 31:34Speaker 2: NBA Young Boy in the studio, but no Smoke was
- 31:37Speaker 2: not in the studio. But I did the whole fair
- 31:42Speaker 2: Babies with money Bag, young and Young Boy. I was
- 31:44Speaker 2: in the studio and you know them too, like fell out,
- 31:48Speaker 2: but I was in the studio like two days before
- 31:51Speaker 2: they fell out. Like but that whole week we was
- 31:53Speaker 2: in the studio, And these are moments you can't get back.
- 31:57Speaker 2: And I forgot. I got records week money back, that's gold,
- 32:00Speaker 2: and I never speak on them. I'll be forgetting. But
- 32:03Speaker 2: ship like that like that, I can't I can't make
- 32:07Speaker 2: that was a tough flex, Bros. But I really can't
- 32:14Speaker 2: make up.
- 32:17Speaker 5: Like when I say, when you catch these were people
- 32:20Speaker 5: that at the time was just like they just they
- 32:25Speaker 5: were just getting like five ten K show you feel me?
- 32:27Speaker 5: But when I look at what I didn't done off
- 32:30Speaker 5: early things. Man, I don't even It's like the people
- 32:33Speaker 5: that I missed it be like, man, you just y'all
- 32:38Speaker 5: like all on the separate size of the tracks, y'all
- 32:40Speaker 5: not like different like maybe Beyonce or some ship, but
- 32:44Speaker 5: everybody else.
- 32:44Speaker 2: Man, I'm kind of in line with myself.
- 32:46Speaker 4: Now, hold on, you were saying, why B is a
- 32:48Speaker 4: Tupac up the generation? Right?
- 32:49Speaker 2: I mean if I asked my my nephew, my nephew too. Oh,
- 32:55Speaker 2: so you will say that.
- 32:56Speaker 4: I don't fuck with Tupaca. But I feel I get that, Okay,
- 32:59Speaker 4: So I get the line.
- 33:01Speaker 5: What I'm saying today is a young boy died Tomorrow,
- 33:06Speaker 5: I'm I'm they gonna look back.
- 33:08Speaker 2: And be like, who did his first hit? And I
- 33:11Speaker 2: would be the equivalent of the person who made what's
- 33:16Speaker 2: the biggest Tupac song? Your dad's dealing? Hit him up?
- 33:21Speaker 2: I may hit him up for you I made. I
- 33:24Speaker 2: would be that kind of guy.
- 33:25Speaker 5: And then when I look at even with Top for Fredo,
- 33:30Speaker 5: I made a very influential song with somebody who when
- 33:36Speaker 5: you think about young Boy and Fredo and how they
- 33:38Speaker 5: be for us, I showed the world that don't play
- 33:44Speaker 5: with me because I made fred o'bang first hit too.
- 33:47Speaker 4: I give you that. You I ain't gonna like I'm
- 33:51Speaker 4: I'm tapped in bro. Now we can talk.
- 33:56Speaker 6: Fred o'bang was big on the on the to get
- 34:00Speaker 6: on niggas like me underground like you. When you gave
- 34:04Speaker 6: him that type record, you helped him put him in
- 34:07Speaker 6: them ranks like put my nigga on stage at that
- 34:09Speaker 6: big show, and I love it.
- 34:11Speaker 2: That's what I love about, right.
- 34:14Speaker 6: But you definitely with that record, you helped surpass like
- 34:17Speaker 6: get my nigga out of the radio. He can really
- 34:19Speaker 6: hit these goddamnit summer jam stage.
- 34:22Speaker 2: Versatility for sure, Nah, for sure, you go to for that.
- 34:26Speaker 5: That's what That's the part that when I look at like,
- 34:29Speaker 5: that's the part that made me be like I ain't
- 34:32Speaker 5: gotta chase.
- 34:33Speaker 2: Everything no more.
- 34:34Speaker 5: Only because of those situations that I look at, nobody
- 34:38Speaker 5: else could do. No other producer was out here bridging
- 34:41Speaker 5: gaps other than like Doctor Dre and whoever.
- 34:44Speaker 2: Else, like they was making shit.
- 34:46Speaker 5: They would go, you know, diddy them, they was doing
- 34:48Speaker 5: some shit that was like very very gap bridging. And
- 34:52Speaker 5: I feel like my generation that I never get respect
- 34:55Speaker 5: because people don't look at music that deep.
- 34:57Speaker 2: Like they used to.
- 34:58Speaker 6: I'm gonna give your respect some real ship on the
- 35:01Speaker 6: because I'd be tapped in with the kids, But on
- 35:03Speaker 6: the underground level, you was the Diddy because that Biggie
- 35:07Speaker 6: and pop shit.
- 35:08Speaker 4: It was mainstream. But niggas don't understand how big the
- 35:11Speaker 4: NBA young boy in Freido Bang Beef and you're the
- 35:13Speaker 4: only nigga to give both of them two big records
- 35:16Speaker 4: for sure.
- 35:17Speaker 3: Why I give you that appreciate even I mean not
- 35:20Speaker 3: to make it no mats shit, but you got two
- 35:23Speaker 3: crazy songs that a lot of people cannot say that. Yeah,
- 35:26Speaker 3: like at a time period where she was ascending, she
- 35:29Speaker 3: wasn't there yet, she was on the way up, and
- 35:31Speaker 3: it was kind of ifvy, But those are two big
- 35:33Speaker 3: songs of her catalog, as you you know what I'm saying.
- 35:35Speaker 3: So your versatility with that in the hometown with like
- 35:38Speaker 3: that's that's an easy respect for.
- 35:39Speaker 5: You seeing a lot of people don't know like me
- 35:41Speaker 5: and Meg like this. Like she used to, I used
- 35:44Speaker 5: to shoot up music videos. I wasn't just a producer.
- 35:46Speaker 5: I was actually one of her biggest viral freestyles that
- 35:50Speaker 5: shot outside my house at the time, and I was
- 35:52Speaker 5: staying so that was you.
- 35:53Speaker 2: Yeah, that was me.
- 35:54Speaker 1: That's crazy because everybody know that freestyle.
- 35:56Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, that Stalley freestyle that's at my house. Like,
- 35:59Speaker 5: I literally just took my camera at the time. I
- 36:02Speaker 5: had a sony took that bitch outside shot up video
- 36:06Speaker 5: because at the time I felt like you you we
- 36:09Speaker 5: almost were close and we was working a lot.
- 36:11Speaker 2: But I'm like, we close, we just need them visuals now.
- 36:14Speaker 5: So man, it's just when you look at like, that's
- 36:16Speaker 5: how I end up getting thick though, because I knew.
- 36:19Speaker 2: I knew she ain't forget none of that ship. It's
- 36:22Speaker 2: just she's so big now, you know. It's harder.
- 36:24Speaker 5: It's so many channels, and I don't I don't believe
- 36:27Speaker 5: in channels. If we talk, I need to have your
- 36:29Speaker 5: number to be talking to this person, and that you was.
- 36:35Speaker 4: There before all that goofy one.
- 36:37Speaker 1: I ain't need to talk to your people now because
- 36:38Speaker 1: before then you was at my house, all.
- 36:40Speaker 2: Right, But when she did the feature, I knew, like
- 36:44Speaker 2: I meg ain't change the same.
- 36:46Speaker 4: That's been so hard, bro.
- 36:48Speaker 6: That's why I'm like, Nigga, you came on that bitch
- 36:50Speaker 6: and you get the crowd going, and then she come
- 36:52Speaker 6: with the bars and Ship.
- 36:53Speaker 4: That's a perfect record.
- 36:55Speaker 2: For She did that ship for sure.
- 36:56Speaker 4: So I can dance to that song.
- 36:59Speaker 5: You would have did many were we talking about?
- 37:05Speaker 2: I danced the man, I ain't doing.
- 37:11Speaker 3: No.
- 37:11Speaker 1: Come on man, that's not You.
- 37:15Speaker 4: Might want to rock the stage together, nigga.
- 37:18Speaker 5: Let me.
- 37:20Speaker 3: If you go to the Black Horses, he might stop
- 37:22Speaker 3: up the road. Man, he's gonna go grab something. He
- 37:25Speaker 3: gonna come here, strong man, straight off the front line. Okay,
- 37:30Speaker 3: we put your let me show you.
- 37:32Speaker 1: So it's gonna be the last club on twenty podcast.
- 37:36Speaker 4: Be here.
- 37:38Speaker 1: I'm gonna have a boy.
- 37:41Speaker 3: I got a question though, like what was that first
- 37:43Speaker 3: song that you think, like really like major took your
- 37:46Speaker 3: career from like here to here, like not mainstream, but
- 37:50Speaker 3: like when you first got.
- 37:50Speaker 2: That like buzz like got you uh as a producer
- 37:55Speaker 2: as a producer producer. First song.
- 38:01Speaker 5: One that really changed everything was Time for That by
- 38:03Speaker 5: Kevin Gates. That was the first song that I don't
- 38:08Speaker 5: it was weird. I don't know, nobody know this story.
- 38:11Speaker 2: This is crazy. One day I got flu to Atlantic
- 38:14Speaker 2: Records to work on some records.
- 38:16Speaker 5: They never told me who they was. Four that day
- 38:18Speaker 5: I did twenty three songs. I was just I was
- 38:22Speaker 5: in the studio this one you ain't got. I stayed
- 38:24Speaker 5: in the traileruse I.
- 38:25Speaker 2: Had nothing to lose.
- 38:26Speaker 5: And I'm like, I'm in the studio at I think
- 38:29Speaker 5: I got there at twelve. I leave at like five
- 38:33Speaker 5: in the morning. But everybody talking about how I mean,
- 38:37Speaker 5: Like in the Engineer, You're like, yo, you don't you
- 38:39Speaker 5: know you did about ten already. Bro, you don't have
- 38:41Speaker 5: to go this hard. They're not tripping.
- 38:42Speaker 2: Can you can leave? Go do it at the time. Nigga,
- 38:45Speaker 2: I ain't got no hoes.
- 38:46Speaker 5: I'm broke, I'm ugly, whatever you want to call it.
- 38:50Speaker 5: I'm dirty, I'm whatever, nigga. I'm I'm in La though.
- 38:53Speaker 5: So in my trailer house ugly as fucked, and my
- 38:56Speaker 5: brother stayed up with his three kids, and I got.
- 38:58Speaker 2: An air mattress. I'm staying in this studio all night, nigga.
- 39:01Speaker 2: I love the way this shit look. It's a movie.
- 39:03Speaker 2: So I stay.
- 39:06Speaker 5: I do twenty three songs, three of them bitches go platinum.
- 39:11Speaker 5: So and the crazy thing is Gates was down the
- 39:15Speaker 5: hall that day. So and at this time me and
- 39:18Speaker 5: Gates ain't like me and Gates now Gates is this
- 39:21Speaker 5: is Gates that was sipping third doing drugs and crazy
- 39:26Speaker 5: as fuck. So Gates come in and listen. And at
- 39:32Speaker 5: the time he like he hear like a little melody.
- 39:35Speaker 5: I'm not thinking nothing of it. He don't talk, he's
- 39:38Speaker 5: not talking to me.
- 39:39Speaker 2: He come in.
- 39:40Speaker 5: He leaned against the wall and he like, I wish
- 39:42Speaker 5: I could get on this wall. But he leaned against
- 39:44Speaker 5: the wall. He's sitting there.
- 39:46Speaker 4: He like.
- 39:49Speaker 2: He's looking back at the wall. I'm like, he looking
- 39:51Speaker 2: at he looking at the wall, or he's like.
- 39:56Speaker 5: Looking at mugging the wall. I'm like, man, this losing.
- 39:59Speaker 5: He up and down in a wild I'm a little scared.
- 40:03Speaker 5: He don't say that. He just lead, he lead go
- 40:07Speaker 5: down the hall. The next day I wake up, I
- 40:10Speaker 5: got three Kevin Gate songs from the n R. Like, yo,
- 40:14Speaker 5: listen to these three songs. He like taking little melodies
- 40:18Speaker 5: or whatever he liked from the song and taking it
- 40:20Speaker 5: to another level.
- 40:22Speaker 2: And then the album.
- 40:24Speaker 5: I'm not thinking that because I'm not signed yet, so
- 40:26Speaker 5: I'm not thinking it's gonna come out.
- 40:30Speaker 2: I want to say.
- 40:30Speaker 5: Two muths later, his album dropped. They all on the
- 40:32Speaker 5: album and a year later everything had win play and
- 40:36Speaker 5: I was like, I was like, I'm chosen.
- 40:39Speaker 2: I don't care what nobody got to say.
- 40:40Speaker 5: But Time for That was the one that was like
- 40:42Speaker 5: the leader because none of them was singles. They they
- 40:46Speaker 5: had at the time, they had every single that they
- 40:48Speaker 5: needed and to this day, Time for That is one
- 40:52Speaker 5: of his biggest songs. So it just showed me like, man,
- 40:56Speaker 5: you ain't when you're making good music, you don't even
- 40:58Speaker 5: need to be the single.
- 40:59Speaker 2: You just gotta be. You gotta be out you feel.
- 41:02Speaker 5: So that was the one that made me know, like, man, god, God,
- 41:07Speaker 5: they ain't making no mistakes with my career. I'm where
- 41:10Speaker 5: I need to be, on where I should be right now.
- 41:13Speaker 2: I don't know like that. We gotta wrap it ups.
- 41:15Speaker 1: Appreciate you sliding on us, my boy, my brother.
- 41:18Speaker 2: I love for show.
- 41:24Speaker 1: But before we get out of here, new music promo.
- 41:27Speaker 5: Man, I got an album right now called X Symbol.
- 41:29Speaker 5: It came out two weeks ago, the hardest thing out.
- 41:34Speaker 5: I trust me my new music hard. I'm on tour
- 41:38Speaker 5: right now. If y'all go look at the tour dates,
- 41:40Speaker 5: pop out at a show.

- 41:44Speaker 2: show tonight? If so, let me know, I'm gonna get
- 41:46Speaker 2: you'all on my list. On the list.
- 41:52Speaker 4: You don't need a mic. But if you if you get.
- 41:57Speaker 2: If you see me here at the show and walk the.
- 41:59Speaker 4: Other way, freaks on that stage, Nigga, I know how
- 42:03Speaker 4: to about.
- 42:05Speaker 1: That's why we need you tonight about God.
- 42:08Speaker 2: We need a little we need a little report, report
- 42:11Speaker 2: about the be crowd. So y'all say, y'all don't trust
- 42:15Speaker 2: the judgment. I'm gonna say you're gonna.
