  but last weekend or whenever it is that you're tuning in, but I spent the weekend

  down in Cynthiana, Kentucky with a couple of good friends of mine,

  Carly and Carla from Appalachian Root Works, Rooted in ruins.

  Like I said, they're located in Cynthiana, Kentucky, 208 East Pike Street,

  and that's in Cynthiana, Kentucky.

  Stop by, visit their shop if you are in the area.

  It's a metaphysical shop, but they got everything you need. They're practitioners,
• 0:46
  and they have other practitioners that work with them.
• 0:50
  This shop is just absolutely amazing, and this is all going to tie into a bunch of things.

  I went down there for a purpose. Actually, Carly and Carla had asked me if I
• 1:05
  wanted to come down and help them because they have a podcast as well called
• 1:09
  Without a Candle, and I suggested to check it out.
• 1:14
  But Without a Candle involves a lot of guests and all, And they had,
• 1:20
  I think it was 16 guests over two days and they needed assistance with the production.
• 1:25
  So they asked me and I was like, oh yeah, fuck yeah. I came right down and I did it.
• 1:34
  But, you know, beyond that, it's one thing to sit behind the scenes,
• 1:40
  you know, making sure everything's being recorded properly and sound is good
• 1:44
  and, you know, just help them.
• 1:45
  But meeting their guests and being in that same room with the exchange of energy.
• 1:51
  You see, eye-opener society is not very guest-heavy because,
• 1:54
  like I said, it's difficult.
• 1:55
  It's difficult for me to get guests on because the time zone difference with
• 1:59
  Lizzie and I, and we have only certain days we need to record.
• 2:02
  So it's difficult, and I don't work too well with guests that often unless it's someone we know.

  But Carly and Carla from Appalachian Rootworks, their podcast,
• 2:17
  Without a Candle, I sat there and I met some amazing people.
• 2:22
  Everybody they had on their show has a story to tell.
• 2:28
  There was a lot of emotion.
• 2:30
  There was a lot of release. There was a lot of information.
• 2:36
  And to sit there and be a part of that To experience that energy,
• 2:41
  I was absolutely amazed And it's something that I'm going to remember For a
• 2:47
  very very long time And as their episodes come out It's going to be great to
• 2:52
  revisit them When I turn on their podcast And hear those guests And what they had to say,

  It's 2026 people where you still have so many hang-ups, you know?
• 3:10
  Just because if you call yourself a witch, why do we still have to be persecuted for that?
• 3:17
  The community is huge. We're very strong, whether it be witches,
• 3:23
  whether it be Wiccan, whether it be Pagan, whether it be just the metaphysical
• 3:29
  people, spirit workers, intuitive people.
• 3:33
  It's 2026, and we need to understand that we all have,
• 3:44
  something within us. And it's about time we stop at the persecution and allow
• 3:49
  people to tell their stories.
• 3:53
  I've noticed how hard it was for some people to actually, you know,
• 3:58
  mention what they wanted to mention.
• 4:02
  So how does this all tie in? This is not a whole, you know, production or promotion
• 4:08
  for Appalachian Rootworks, but it is a community. We are a society.
• 4:14
  And that's the one thing I spoke about because Carly and Carla did have me on
• 4:17
  as a guest and I spoke about that.
• 4:20
  I spoke about the fact that Eye Opener Society is a society and with that,
• 4:27
  it contains people and not just people of one type.
• 4:33
  I don't even know the audience that is listening to me right now.
• 4:37
  I mean, you could be, you know, from any walk of life, from anywhere in the world.
• 4:43
  And you're turning me on On the podcast, I mean But you turned on the show And you are listening,
• 4:54
  For whatever reason it is And I
• 4:57
  appreciate that From the bottom of my heart I really do
• 5:00
  It's amazing But to sometimes sit here Especially when I do these solo episodes
• 5:05
  It's difficult for me I like having Lizzie with me Everybody knows that We feed
• 5:10
  off of each other But I can sometimes not really express my emotions enough when I say,
• 5:17
  this society means something to me.
• 5:21
  And to bring in other people, and not as friends, but like treating them like family.
• 5:28
  And that's how I felt when I was down in Kentucky.
• 5:33
  Now, another amazing thing occurred. Most people that listen to this show know that I am married.
• 5:40
  My wife, Melissa, she has gifts.
• 5:45
  I mean, she has the gift of healing, empathy, and it's just her too.
• 5:51
  She's so afraid to express it because she doesn't understand it. And it's difficult.
• 5:58
  And I'll give her all the space and all the time she needs to understand that.
• 6:04
  But I do want to say this.
• 6:08
  Crowley and Carla had asked if Melissa wanted to be on their podcast.
• 6:15
  And from most of you know, Melissa's never been on my podcast.
• 6:19
  She's always just in the background.
• 6:22
  She's afraid to be on camera and we're just at least bashful,
• 6:26
  shy, whatever the case may be.
• 6:28
  And she doesn't know what to talk about and all.
• 6:31
  So I was like, well, I don't know. the worst I could do is ask her.
• 6:34
  And, you know, as long as, you know, you just ask her questions and keep her
• 6:38
  going, you know, I'm sure it shouldn't be a big deal.
• 6:43
  So amazingly, Melissa agreed to be on their podcast without a candle.
• 6:51
  And I was first asked if I wanted to interview her and that would have been easy.
• 6:58
  But the only problem is my style of interviewing and especially knowing my wife
• 7:02
  so well, I didn't want to get too caught up in any kind of, you know,
• 7:08
  aggressive questioning the way I would normally talk to her.
• 7:11
  I wanted it to be authentic and real.
• 7:16
  Well, the interview was absolutely amazing, beautiful, emotional,
• 7:23
  and it really brought up my point for today's episode.
• 7:29
  We are gifted people, all of us, every single one of us, whether you know it or not.
• 7:37
  Once you reach down inside and you
• 7:39
  start thinking about it and you start forming what it is that you have,
• 7:46
  You run into a lot of backlash You know And there's always going to be Negativity
• 7:51
  behind it But the thing is We Must,
• 7:59
  Rise above that And we can It's all about positivity It's all about Being assertive Being confident,
• 8:09
  Speak your truth You The listener Anyone listening,
• 8:15
  Speak your truth Dig deep Find what it is that moves you Motivates you,
• 8:22
  Gets you excited Talk about it Experience it Do not be afraid of what others Think,
• 8:31
  say, do, or otherwise Block them out Stick with your tribe Find your tribe Find
• 8:38
  the people that are going to support you People like me, I will support you I don't care.
• 8:45
  It was amazing. It was extremely life-altering.
• 8:50
  Because I made an announcement on Without a Candle to them first.

  I felt I owed them that about things I'm doing in the future.

  And it all ties into this.

  Once I know the episode's been
