- 0:00Speaker 1: Hey guys, welcome back to Wisecracks. A little bit different
- 0:03Speaker 1: week this week. I am in hilton Head, South Carolina
- 0:06Speaker 1: for the Heritage Golf Tournament, right across from the course. Actually,
- 0:10Speaker 1: and John is somewhere in like are you in like
- 0:13Speaker 1: Elvis's jungle room? Where are you? I'm home. You're in
- 0:17Speaker 1: the backyard.
- 0:18Speaker 2: Wow, Yeah, this is actually the this is the courtyard
- 0:22Speaker 2: in the front.
- 0:23Speaker 1: Oh is that just a regular swingers O? A funky one?
- 0:26Speaker 1: What is that?
- 0:27Speaker 3: It's a yeah, warrior likes to, you know, tell no
- 0:33Speaker 3: one details.
- 0:35Speaker 1: Yeah. I thought it was one of them, but uh, anyway,
- 0:38Speaker 1: we like to have a lot of fun in the show.
- 0:41Speaker 2: John just asked, Wait, you just said you were a waere.
- 0:44Speaker 1: Hilton Head, South Carolina for the golf tournament. You know
- 0:47Speaker 1: this is very spontaneous show.
- 0:49Speaker 2: Wait, I thought you went to the Masters.
- 0:51Speaker 1: I was last week. Different week, that's the next, the
- 0:53Speaker 1: next week. It's not like you're just on the tour, John,
- 0:57Speaker 1: this is the better tournament for a spectators. It's two
- 1:00Speaker 1: hundred dollars a day. It's it's just a better place
- 1:04Speaker 1: to be. It's it's beautiful, it's around the Kalabugie Sound,
- 1:08Speaker 1: the lighthouse. It's my favorite tour of the year. Great
- 1:12Speaker 1: connections here for our accommodations and people and friends. And
- 1:19Speaker 1: I've been here twenty I think twenty two years this
- 1:25Speaker 1: particular year. I actually I have a friend that has
- 1:29Speaker 1: a ridiculous unit on the eighteenth hole, and he's very
- 1:35Speaker 1: wealthy too. I'm a little upseted love, to be honest
- 1:37Speaker 1: with you, because he he rented it out last year
- 1:41Speaker 1: for forty thousand, rented it out for fifty thousand this year.
- 1:43Speaker 1: It's beautiful eighteenth hole, penthouse, three stories, elevator, outdoor viewing
- 1:51Speaker 1: area over the eighteenth hole. I remember Kuchar hit hit
- 1:55Speaker 1: out Matt Coucher one year. I was standing up there
- 1:58Speaker 1: outdoors and the bunker to win the tournament one year.
- 2:02Speaker 1: It was unbelievable. Have video on my phone from that.
- 2:05Speaker 1: But uh, I don't know, man, Sometimes money's worth a
- 2:09Speaker 1: lot more than a good time. But I always say,
- 2:11Speaker 1: you can't put a price on a good time.
- 2:12Speaker 2: So yeah, but anyway, this is I.
- 2:15Speaker 1: Actually do have great accommodations here and I actually this
- 2:19Speaker 1: year I told my guys were right across from the clubhouse,
- 2:22Speaker 1: I said, listen, hey, what I'm gonna do I'm gonna
- 2:25Speaker 1: a couple of guys I usually go with I got it.
- 2:28Speaker 1: I'm springing for the place. They don't know. It was
- 2:30Speaker 1: a good amount of money, But I made good sometimes
- 2:33Speaker 1: last minute deals in life, last minute deals. I you
- 2:36Speaker 1: know you could somehow if you give someone a bunch
- 2:38Speaker 1: of cash last minute, they're gonna take it. I found
- 2:41Speaker 1: a great last minute deal. I'm treating my Bundy. Yeah.
- 2:44Speaker 3: Uh, dumb question. You said it's two hundred dollars a
- 2:46Speaker 3: ticket or a day. Yeah, this is You're gonna don't
- 2:50Speaker 3: laugh at me. Does do you with golf? You're standing
- 2:54Speaker 3: right when you're watching, and are you going No, you're sitting.
- 2:58Speaker 1: There's bleachers. I always go on the eighteenth hole. There's
- 3:02Speaker 1: great bleacher. I really don't walk around a lot here masters.
- 3:05Speaker 1: I get a little one of those little one of
- 3:07Speaker 1: those little scooters. It's fantastic, and go the whole course.
- 3:10Speaker 1: You're gonna go the Even's corner. Everything qust you two
- 3:13Speaker 1: hundred dollars a day to rent the cart. It's well
- 3:15Speaker 1: worth it, well worth it. But here I walk right
- 3:19Speaker 1: across the street steps to the clubhouse, and then uh,
- 3:23Speaker 1: right behind the clubhouse there's the putting green. Uh, the
- 3:26Speaker 1: practice practice putting green, and then behind that is bleachers
- 3:30Speaker 1: for the eighteenth hole. I like because on the left
- 3:33Speaker 1: side of that I can watch the first hole. They
- 3:36Speaker 1: starting to tee off on the first hole, eighteenth hole,
- 3:39Speaker 1: the coming in hole. On the bleachers. They are the
- 3:41Speaker 1: only thing I don't worry about the sun. The sun
- 3:43Speaker 1: will bury you. So if you walk the course here
- 3:47Speaker 1: a lot there's these bugs. I guess they call them
- 3:49Speaker 1: no seams, which you can't see them. They're so tiny
- 3:53Speaker 1: they will eat you up alive. I have so many
- 3:55Speaker 1: different products here, but you need something with deep, with
- 3:58Speaker 1: a d deep to control the bugs here. There's a
- 4:02Speaker 1: lot of mosquitoes, lots of these little bugs that you
- 4:05Speaker 1: don't see, but they just will eat you up alive.
- 4:09Speaker 1: But it's a great time. Some of the biggest golfers
- 4:11Speaker 1: schefflers here and you know, all the all the big names.
- 4:15Speaker 1: What happened was this live golf tour took a lot
- 4:17Speaker 1: of the big golfers, the big names away a couple
- 4:20Speaker 1: of years ago, and the PGA had to be shaken
- 4:23Speaker 1: up into giving out some of their money that they
- 4:25Speaker 1: so keep a stronghold on. They have doubled and tripled purses,
- 4:29Speaker 1: including here. This is the week after the Masters, when
- 4:32Speaker 1: a lot of golfers took off with their you know,
- 4:34Speaker 1: five to eight million dollar golf perse. Now they have
- 4:37Speaker 1: twenty million dollar golf perse. I believe it's four million
- 4:42Speaker 1: for first prize, which is like the same as the Masters,
- 4:44Speaker 1: So four million bucks. A lot of people come out
- 4:47Speaker 1: here for this golf tournament. The golf tournament was shaken
- 4:49Speaker 1: up the PGA when this Lift Tour started, taking a
- 4:55Speaker 1: lot of the good golfers. So I'm here in the
- 4:57Speaker 1: Lift Tours suffering a little bit. Now this is some
- 4:59Speaker 1: big money behind it, but I know, like Kopka came
- 5:03Speaker 1: back to the tour after a couple of years, and
- 5:06Speaker 1: I'm hearing some other guys are coming back to the
- 5:08Speaker 1: tour after a couple of years. But they've gotten ridiculous.
- 5:11Speaker 1: A matter of fact, this morning, I wish I had.
- 5:16Speaker 1: Let me see, if I had this morning, I seen
- 5:19Speaker 1: the man I should have saved that. I can't believe
- 5:24Speaker 1: what the Live Tour has given these golfers to leave.
- 5:30Speaker 3: Yeah, like like like more money than they made their
- 5:34Speaker 3: whole career in some cases right at.
- 5:38Speaker 1: Yeah tour signing bonuses. Let me just say if I
- 5:40Speaker 1: could put it in. Uh yeah, the signing bonuses absolutely crazy.
- 5:45Speaker 1: Like they gave some of these guys two hundred and
- 5:47Speaker 1: three hundred we go, John Rown four hundred million, Come
- 5:50Speaker 1: on over with you with four hundred million signing bonus,
- 5:53Speaker 1: Phil Nicholson billion, one hundred to one hundred and fifty million,
- 5:57Speaker 1: Dustin Johnson, Bryce and d Schambeau. I can go on
- 6:00Speaker 1: and on. Cameron Smith one hundred million. This is just
- 6:03Speaker 1: signing bonuses.
- 6:04Speaker 2: How do they make that money back?
- 6:06Speaker 1: They don't write.
- 6:06Speaker 2: There's no way they make that money back, right.
- 6:09Speaker 1: I think this is like the sheikh in boxing. The prints. Yeah,
- 6:17Speaker 1: they're just turkey. I'll uh turk abdul monsan ali shiki.
- 6:24Speaker 1: I hope I'm a saying is right. And he's very
- 6:26Speaker 1: generous guy, been great to a lot of the boxers
- 6:29Speaker 1: that went broke, like Evander Holyfield. You know people that
- 6:33Speaker 1: went yeah, didn't have a lot of money. He gave
- 6:36Speaker 1: them like hundreds of thousands full him on his plane.
- 6:39Speaker 1: Come on over, spend some time with us, watch some
- 6:42Speaker 1: of the fights, and and I'm gonna pay pay a
- 6:45Speaker 1: lot of money. Know. Teddy Atlas went on, you know
- 6:48Speaker 1: the little pot and the private plane many times, and
- 6:51Speaker 1: and the Turk has done some unbelievable damage to the
- 6:57Speaker 1: boxing in Las Vegas. We're having all these big fights
- 7:01Speaker 1: Eddie Hern and him. They're having big fights over seas
- 7:04Speaker 1: abroad because Vegas cannot match the money. When one of
- 7:07Speaker 1: the have a guy worth billions and billions and billions
- 7:10Speaker 1: of dollars that treats this like a hobby. You can't
- 7:14Speaker 1: get the money back from a gate in Vegas. And no,
- 7:20Speaker 1: it's absolutely impossible. And he's forty four years old, referred
- 7:24Speaker 1: to as his excellency, and he has really done a
- 7:29Speaker 1: job on the boxing world. And now the other day
- 7:33Speaker 1: the other day, Tyson Fury foot the other day and
- 7:38Speaker 1: he won, He beat He beat a very hard opponent.
- 7:41Speaker 1: Thought this guy wasn't supposed to be in this fight,
- 7:43Speaker 1: like he was about a six to one dog. And
- 7:46Speaker 1: I think the Turk was in the ring there with him,
- 7:50Speaker 1: his excellency, and he was offering a lot of money
- 7:56Speaker 1: for for Tyson Fury's next fight. So well, we'll see
- 8:00Speaker 1: which maybe is Joshua right, the supposed to be AJ? Yeah, yeah,
- 8:05Speaker 1: AJ was pretty quiet at the side and AJ, but
- 8:08Speaker 1: there's a guy I don't understand. Do you know this
- 8:11Speaker 1: guy has made Let's see what John, I think he's
- 8:14Speaker 1: made one hundred and fifty million Anthony Joshua salaries. I think,
- 8:20Speaker 1: Oh my god, I thought it was one hundred and
- 8:22Speaker 1: fifty half wrong, more like four.
- 8:24Speaker 3: Oh.
- 8:25Speaker 1: Joshua has estimated to his earnings were two hundred and
- 8:29Speaker 1: seventy five million. Wow, it's a lot of money. I
- 8:34Speaker 1: just can't believe the money that Joshua has made. I
- 8:38Speaker 1: gotta tell you something I don't live in. I'm not
- 8:41Speaker 1: gonna say it's not good. He's not a great heavyweight.
- 8:45Speaker 1: I mean, I just can't believe he's made that kind
- 8:48Speaker 1: of money. But I think he made the bulk of
- 8:50Speaker 1: that money was.
- 8:51Speaker 2: From Tyson right.
- 8:52Speaker 1: No, no, Jake Paul. He forought Jake Paul.
- 8:55Speaker 2: Oh right recently.
- 8:56Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, he made he made the polk of that money.
- 8:59Speaker 1: But let's see, let's see what.
- 9:01Speaker 3: You meane he made a lot fighting Tyson Fury though, right.
- 9:05Speaker 1: Well, no, this Tyson Fury is going to be the
- 9:07Speaker 1: fight that's going to be upcoming hopefully hopefully, right. I
- 9:12Speaker 1: mean a few years ago he thought, no, no, no,
- 9:16Speaker 1: he didn't fight he didn't fight Fury. No.
- 9:18Speaker 2: Oh wait, I'm thinking of Wilder, Right, he.
- 9:22Speaker 1: Didn't fight Fury. Yeah, matter of fact, let's pull up
- 9:24Speaker 1: as a boxing.
- 9:24Speaker 2: Record, I'm thinking of Deontay Wilder.
- 9:27Speaker 3: Right, he fought Fury, almost knocked him out, and then
- 9:29Speaker 3: Fury got up from the dead.
- 9:31Speaker 1: Right. I was at that last oh, that last Fury
- 9:35Speaker 1: fight when he fought Wilder. I thought it was a joke.
- 9:37Speaker 1: Wilder had a thirty million dollar contract that if there's
- 9:41Speaker 1: a three, he has to be chosen again before he
- 9:45Speaker 1: Fury fights someone else. So I thought it was going
- 9:47Speaker 1: to be a pushover. I almost didn't want to go.
- 9:49Speaker 1: I wanted to bring one of my friends to the
- 9:51Speaker 1: fight that that never been to a heavyweight fight. I
- 9:53Speaker 1: wanted to bring him, and I can't believe would have
- 9:56Speaker 1: fight Wilder gave him. It was unbelievable. The fight is great.
- 10:00Speaker 1: Probably the best heavyweight fight I've ever been to. Was
- 10:04Speaker 1: was Wilder and Fury three and they both were knocked down.
- 10:08Speaker 1: Oh god, it was. It was so good. Yeah, Fandel
- 10:12Speaker 1: put up live odds and it said Fury thirty to
- 10:16Speaker 1: one now live, and seven seconds later, sure he got
- 10:19Speaker 1: knocked down. It's unbelievable. So what was unbelievable? I remember
- 10:24Speaker 1: seeing that. I said, Wow, how cool is this? This
- 10:26Speaker 1: fight was really good. Fury won in the end. But yeah,
- 10:29Speaker 1: so now let's look at Joshua's record. Here, he's twenty
- 10:34Speaker 1: nine and four. Jake Paul okay, he won that. I
- 10:37Speaker 1: made some money on that. So Daniel Duois he fought
- 10:40Speaker 1: and and he lost to Duwa. There was a legitimate heavyweight,
- 10:43Speaker 1: by the way. Twenty one and two, he beat Niganu
- 10:46Speaker 1: Otto Wallen some people I know, Oh right, but he lost.
- 10:52Speaker 1: Is the real deal man, the real deal, he's the
- 10:55Speaker 1: real deal. He'd beat Tyson Ye, he's fun to watch.
- 10:58Speaker 1: But Andy Rui, he's somehow beat Anthony Joshua. I couldn't
- 11:04Speaker 1: believe Andrew Lewis became a multi zillionaire, not zillionaire, but
- 11:08Speaker 1: he made thirty million because of Joshua. I can go
- 11:13Speaker 1: on and on with a couple of these guys that
- 11:15Speaker 1: he fought, and I just didn't think that. I just
- 11:18Speaker 1: don't think what everyone else thinks of him. I would
- 11:22Speaker 1: love to see Tyson Fury beat him. I love Tyson Fury.
- 11:27Speaker 1: I think he's great for the game. I think he's
- 11:29Speaker 1: so good. He gets up there and sings. Listen, He's
- 11:32Speaker 1: thirty five and two. You know, he's he's lost two
- 11:36Speaker 1: of us. He lost to Usak twice, so you gotta
- 11:39Speaker 1: understand before that he was unbeaten. Y. Yes, Usek is
- 11:43Speaker 1: the best heavyweight fighter right now. But this guy has
- 11:45Speaker 1: beaten some. He beat Wilder, like I said, three times. Well,
- 11:49Speaker 1: the first fight was a draw, which which was ridiculous.
- 11:51Speaker 1: I thought he won that fight. He'd beat Clitchkoh and
- 11:55Speaker 1: Clitchkow was old at the end of his career. He'd
- 11:57Speaker 1: beat Cunningham and a Bell I know both of those fighters,
- 12:00Speaker 1: by the way, Philly fighter, and then the Belotics from Ohio.
- 12:03Speaker 1: I met him with donal Albaum, uh, Dillian White, Jasura.
- 12:07Speaker 1: But it's just that Fury is entertaining. He's an entertaining fighter. John.
- 12:14Speaker 1: They have a show at Home with the Furies on
- 12:16Speaker 1: one of the networks. I watched the whole season. I
- 12:19Speaker 1: thought it was so good and so entertaining. And he's
- 12:25Speaker 1: I'm not gonna say manic depressive. I think he he
- 12:29Speaker 1: diagnosed himself with something like that though. He gets very
- 12:33Speaker 1: upset and depressed.
- 12:35Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 12:36Speaker 1: The guy's got you know, over one hundred million dollars
- 12:38Speaker 1: much more now and he gets down on himself a lot,
- 12:41Speaker 1: and he has to be in the center of the action.
- 12:43Speaker 1: And yeah, he's just a good guy.
- 12:45Speaker 3: And he gives most of the money away right to
- 12:48Speaker 3: charity or something like the like crazy amounts of money.
- 12:50Speaker 1: I know he does give him to the charity, but
- 12:52Speaker 1: I you know, he's had seven kids. You better not
- 12:54Speaker 1: be giving old money away to charity with seven kids.
- 12:57Speaker 1: And him and his wife is on the show, and
- 12:59Speaker 1: I met a ringside at a fight. He was very
- 13:01Speaker 1: nice to the fans, including myself. I really like her.
- 13:04Speaker 1: I think he's great for boxing. So how do we
- 13:07Speaker 1: get on this subject. I don't even know. I don't
- 13:09Speaker 1: even know. We can get on some things like this
- 13:11Speaker 1: all the time. But so jehn Anyway, the chic that's
- 13:16Speaker 1: how we got out of Live Golf. Okay, so Live
- 13:18Speaker 1: is paying these guys ridiculous amounts of money and the
- 13:24Speaker 1: Live Golf tournament. I just don't know how they can
- 13:27Speaker 1: keep these figures up and these kind of moneys up
- 13:29Speaker 1: that they're given these guys. And literally I seen some
- 13:32Speaker 1: of the prize money for some of these golfers. It's
- 13:35Speaker 1: amazing how much money these guys have made. Of course,
- 13:38Speaker 1: they're going to jump over to live if they're invited
- 13:40Speaker 1: to go with a signing bonus and the kind of
- 13:42Speaker 1: money that this this this tour is giving away. But
- 13:46Speaker 1: back to the golf tournament, and people got upset last
- 13:51Speaker 1: week and said that, you know, Tiger Wood not Tiger Woods. No, no,
- 13:54Speaker 1: we don't talk about the crasher. Let's talk about uh
- 13:58Speaker 1: so McElroy mcelroyd. You know, I'm not a Tiger Woods fan.
- 14:02Speaker 1: I'm not a Tiger Woods fan. I'm just not. Yes,
- 14:04Speaker 1: his accomplishments on the golf course are great, but he's
- 14:06Speaker 1: a jerikof He's never been nice to fans. I watched him.
- 14:09Speaker 1: I've seen videos and pushing the little kids out of
- 14:11Speaker 1: the way that we're trying to get autographs, personal experience
- 14:13Speaker 1: down at the Toasbaw in Atlantic City when he won
- 14:15Speaker 1: his first Masters, not tipping people at my at Mastros
- 14:20Speaker 1: when you know he got a free fifteen hundred dollars
- 14:22Speaker 1: meal the owner comped him. Yeah for the owner and
- 14:25Speaker 1: him not leaving a tip. He's just not a tip person.
- 14:28Speaker 1: He's not my kind of person, and he's just not
- 14:30Speaker 1: He shouldn't be many people's kind of people. Off the
- 14:32Speaker 1: court on the court, on the on the golf course. Yeah,
- 14:36Speaker 1: I understand, just not my kind of guy. And for
- 14:40Speaker 1: the reasons being, you know, these accidents, he could have
- 14:43Speaker 1: killed someone easy. It just just not a good person
- 14:48Speaker 1: in my opinion, great golfer, not a good person. Okay,
- 14:51Speaker 1: there's there's a lot of them like that, though I'm
- 14:52Speaker 1: not saying he's the only one. Yeah, all right, So
- 14:55Speaker 1: going back to maclroy, a lot of people, Yeah, after
- 15:00Speaker 1: Rory won, which was unbelievable, Sunday went back to back Masters,
- 15:04Speaker 1: there were some people on the internet, you know, Monday
- 15:06Speaker 1: morning quarterbacks and even I'm gonna even say Sunday morning quarterbacks.
- 15:10Speaker 1: I'll call it a Saturday morning quarterback, a big name
- 15:12Speaker 1: in media saying, you know, Roy McElroy had an unfair
- 15:15Speaker 1: disadvantage advantage compared to everybody else. He was able to
- 15:19Speaker 1: play this course at will whenever he wanted. Well, guess
- 15:22Speaker 1: what the previous Masters champions but could play too. I mean,
- 15:27Speaker 1: it's not like because Rory didn't play the three events
- 15:30Speaker 1: leading up to the Masters, he practiced a lot. He
- 15:37Speaker 1: lives in Florida, took his private plane to Augusta in
- 15:40Speaker 1: the morning after he dropped his daughter off at school.
- 15:43Speaker 1: He was back by the time she got home for dinner,
- 15:46Speaker 1: and people said, that's unfair disadvantage. He was able to
- 15:48Speaker 1: practice on the course more than other golfers when he
- 15:51Speaker 1: had the six stroke lead. I wish I had the
- 15:54Speaker 1: name of this ask clown that said this big name
- 15:57Speaker 1: immediate too. No, you know he has a big because
- 16:01Speaker 1: then he gave back the six strokes. He was actually
- 16:03Speaker 1: down by a couple of strokes on Sunday, So you
- 16:07Speaker 1: call this advantage and the guy's not even winning the
- 16:10Speaker 1: tournament at the time, but he did shoot some unbelievable golf.
- 16:13Speaker 1: But he got very lucky too. I mean, look at
- 16:15Speaker 1: the chip he made on I think seventeen on Friday
- 16:18Speaker 1: to put him six under. There's a lot of the
- 16:21Speaker 1: guy got lucky. But he's a great golfer and he
- 16:24Speaker 1: deserves what he got here. And Scheffler could have easily
- 16:29Speaker 1: won this tournament one stroke behind in the final there,
- 16:33Speaker 1: and I think he earned like two point four million
- 16:36Speaker 1: to coming in second. A lot of money on the
- 16:37Speaker 1: golf tournament now thanks to Live putting that pressure on
- 16:39Speaker 1: the PGA. Like I said, Rory got four point two million,
- 16:43Speaker 1: I believe, but he wasn't in it for the money. Now,
- 16:45Speaker 1: Rory's worth hundreds of millions, hundreds probably three hundred million dollars.
- 16:49Speaker 1: Nike pays him a ton of money, and there's so
- 16:50Speaker 1: many sponsors. But he's did one of the premier names
- 16:54Speaker 1: in the golf world. So anyway, I just think can
- 16:57Speaker 1: he for him to for him to go back and
- 17:00Speaker 1: started losing strokes and be behind by a couple of strokes,
- 17:04Speaker 1: it takes a lot of internal mechanisms to come back
- 17:07Speaker 1: after winning by six being up by six strokes one
- 17:09Speaker 1: of the largest leagues ever. Yeah, going into that day.
- 17:13Speaker 1: Just a great job by him, and I just got
- 17:15Speaker 1: to give him credit even though, yeah, you know, I
- 17:18Speaker 1: wasn't rooting for Rory. I was rooting for somebody new
- 17:22Speaker 1: to win. Maybe you know some of the Justin Rose
- 17:24Speaker 1: is a great guy off the off the course, and
- 17:26Speaker 1: I know he's a nice guy. And Shane Lowry, I've
- 17:29Speaker 1: stayed with his caddy multiple times right down here, stayed
- 17:32Speaker 1: with his caddy a couple of times. Change, such a
- 17:35Speaker 1: nice guy. Everybody. He brings his whole family, a cook,
- 17:38Speaker 1: I mean, just just he brings just there's a lot
- 17:41Speaker 1: of good guys on the on the tour. Then there's
- 17:43Speaker 1: some guys.
- 17:45Speaker 3: I mean, to win any championship in any sport is
- 17:50Speaker 3: hard to do, right, to win the World Series, to
- 17:52Speaker 3: win the super Bowl, I mean, how many years did
- 17:53Speaker 3: Dan Marina play? No Super Bowl? Warren Moon no Super Bowl?
- 17:56Speaker 1: Right? Uh?
- 17:58Speaker 3: To win the Masters once in your care is incredible.
- 18:01Speaker 3: To win it twice in your career is incredible. To
- 18:03Speaker 3: win it back to back, though, is crazy.
- 18:07Speaker 1: It's only been done.
- 18:09Speaker 2: Could he do it again?
- 18:11Speaker 1: I mean, of course he could, but I think it's
- 18:12Speaker 1: only been done twice in a row by Tiger Jack,
- 18:15Speaker 1: who was one of the name. I think there's only
- 18:17Speaker 1: three people that I have won back to back. Yeah, Masters,
- 18:21Speaker 1: maybe seven, I know somebody else. There was one other
- 18:24Speaker 1: person that won back to back.
- 18:26Speaker 2: Will you throw any money on him for next year?
- 18:28Speaker 3: Just just just because?
- 18:30Speaker 1: No, not even you're not going to find the value
- 18:34Speaker 1: even though he's a year older. You won't find value
- 18:36Speaker 1: in these one way markets with with with him to win. So,
- 18:40Speaker 1: John don't know if I mentioned I wrote I put
- 18:42Speaker 1: a note on my phone. I just looked up my
- 18:43Speaker 1: notes because I said, let me ask John a couple
- 18:45Speaker 1: of questions that I had notes on my phone so
- 18:48Speaker 1: I went. Did I tell you I went to IRBs
- 18:49Speaker 1: and Rye a couple of weeks ago.
- 18:51Speaker 2: Nor how was it on Sahara? Yeah, i'd drive by
- 18:56Speaker 2: it sometimes.
- 18:57Speaker 1: Yeah, it's it's a cult like restaurant. You can't even
- 18:59Speaker 1: get in they they have the food's very good. It's
- 19:04Speaker 1: just real dark, a little bit loud, which it's not
- 19:07Speaker 1: really my type of restaurant there. It used to be
- 19:11Speaker 1: the old it was called the Venetian Restaurant back in
- 19:13Speaker 1: the seventies. Yeah, some of the some of the biggest
- 19:16Speaker 1: stars in the world. I'm sure your father was there
- 19:18Speaker 1: back in the day. Sinatra was always there. I mean
- 19:20Speaker 1: it was a big restaurant back in the day because
- 19:23Speaker 1: a lot of the big restaurants weren't in the casinos,
- 19:25Speaker 1: and they had them off the strip, you know, the
- 19:27Speaker 1: Golden Steer and this. Yeah, there was a lot of
- 19:29Speaker 1: resh So anyway, I.
- 19:30Speaker 3: Think they have one in Green Valley also, right, I
- 19:33Speaker 3: think there's a new one in Green Valley at the
- 19:35Speaker 3: district right across from Green Valley Ranch.
- 19:39Speaker 2: Yeah, I think so, I might be wrong.
- 19:42Speaker 1: Yeah, okay, so you have steak is very good there.
- 19:47Speaker 1: The steak is fantastic. They have their own rub there.
- 19:50Speaker 1: It's a spicy steak, very good. I like the restaurant.
- 19:53Speaker 1: The only reason why I mentioned in the restaurant, by
- 19:54Speaker 1: the way they have oh by the way, that there's
- 19:57Speaker 1: a happy hours. I think it's five to seven and
- 20:01Speaker 1: maybe midnight to two. They're open late. Where like you
- 20:04Speaker 1: get like things like almost half priced. You know, sixty
- 20:08Speaker 1: nine dollars Rabbi is only forty bucks or thirty bucks.
- 20:11Speaker 1: I think it's a seventy dollars. Seventy nine dollars Rabbi
- 20:14Speaker 1: is thirty nine, I think that's what it is. So
- 20:17Speaker 1: or seventy eight half priz. I think that's what. But
- 20:19Speaker 1: you can look online. They were extending the happy hour.
- 20:22Speaker 1: I'm told too, So check the hours online. I'm told
- 20:24Speaker 1: they're gonna extend it. But the thing I wanted to say,
- 20:27Speaker 1: so a buddy I was with ordered as sambuca. Now
- 20:30Speaker 1: I don't drink, but I know a sambuca. A lot
- 20:33Speaker 1: of the old Italians used to drink sambuca, old school guys.
- 20:37Speaker 1: And when you get a zambuca, do you know what's
- 20:39Speaker 1: supposed to come with it? No, three coffee beans in
- 20:44Speaker 1: the sambucase they float on the top three coffee beans
- 20:47Speaker 1: for luck. That's what it's supposed to, you know, for luck.
- 20:50Speaker 1: There couldn't even be there couldn't even be more stories
- 20:53Speaker 1: behind it. But I know the Italians that I've been
- 20:55Speaker 1: with three for luck came with no coffee beans. I
- 20:58Speaker 1: couldn't believe it, like you know, and the Italian guy
- 21:02Speaker 1: that ordered it, uh, he knew right away. He's like, whoa, whoa, whoa,
- 21:05Speaker 1: what happened here? It's free beans for luck? But anyway,
- 21:09Speaker 1: I just thought that that was kind of interesting. Oh,
- 21:12Speaker 1: I put we talked about it shortly though. What's grimaldi pizza?
- 21:16Speaker 1: Which I don't really It's okay, it's pretty good for Vegas.
- 21:19Speaker 1: But me and you, I thought, I think we talked
- 21:20Speaker 1: about that pizza was actually very good, the the that
- 21:24Speaker 1: you and I had well done it. So if you
- 21:25Speaker 1: guys go to Grimaldi's in Vegas, I would get your
- 21:28Speaker 1: pizzas well done. And I think that's right.
- 21:31Speaker 3: I'll get I'll probably get hammered for saying this, but
- 21:35Speaker 3: I'm gonna say Grimaldi's is top three pizzas in Vegas.
- 21:39Speaker 1: I'm sorry it might be thinka.
- 21:42Speaker 2: It's thin and crispy.
- 21:44Speaker 3: Yeah, I wish they put more sausage on the sausage pizza.
- 21:48Speaker 3: I could use more sausage, but it's good pizza.
- 21:51Speaker 1: No, you hold it.
- 21:52Speaker 2: It doesn't flop.
- 21:54Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, no, no, no, it's it's it's you're you're right,
- 21:57Speaker 1: you're right. It's it's thin and crispy pizza. And it
- 21:59Speaker 1: doesn't it doesn't flop. You're absolutely right, john These Texas
- 22:05Speaker 1: has popped up with these poker rooms all over the place,
- 22:10Speaker 1: and and I don't think they're they're that bad. But
- 22:13Speaker 1: Johnny Chan had one down in Houston. I think it closed.
- 22:17Speaker 1: I hosted a show with Johnny. Johnny and I hosted
- 22:19Speaker 1: a show together. I was in the poker really twenty
- 22:23Speaker 1: four around around two thousand, yeah, maybe not maybe two
- 22:26Speaker 1: thousand and three. I was trying to think twenty twenty
- 22:29Speaker 1: four years ago. Less than that that twenty two years ago,
- 22:31Speaker 1: Johnny and I hosted a show from California at a
- 22:35Speaker 1: poker room and I got to meet him there and
- 22:39Speaker 1: got to host the show together. I thought, I thought
- 22:41Speaker 1: it went excellent, was really good. So but anyway, they
- 22:47Speaker 1: had poker rooms in Texas and there this particular one
- 22:49Speaker 1: that was there's a poker pro Doug Polk I don't know.
- 22:53Speaker 1: I don't know about the lodge. So he had to lodge.
- 22:56Speaker 1: And now so they got cleared of money laundering but
- 22:59Speaker 1: not illegal gambling. Yet they didn't get charged. Texas drops
- 23:04Speaker 1: the laundering case but still holds two million and cised funds.
- 23:07Speaker 1: Authorities claimed the poker club violated Texas gambling his laws.
- 23:11Speaker 1: Players are left unpaid as the lodge shuts down indefinitely. However,
- 23:15Speaker 1: Doug Polk said he was going to pay everybody, So
- 23:18Speaker 1: we'll see how that goes. I'm sure he will. If
- 23:19Speaker 1: you said it, I think he's a pretty big name
- 23:21Speaker 1: in poker. John huge, Yeah, huge millionaire for the I would.
- 23:26Speaker 3: Think, yeah, yeah, for sure. Yeah, he makes great content
- 23:31Speaker 3: around poker. He's aside being a great player, he makes
- 23:34Speaker 3: really great content.
- 23:35Speaker 1: So historically there's a legal Texas loo loophole that largely
- 23:42Speaker 1: restricts was largely restricted to this Kickapoo Indian reservation near
- 23:47Speaker 1: the Mexican border. However, the last several years we've seen
- 23:50Speaker 1: a perfilation proliferation. Just like I said, let's see if I
- 23:53Speaker 1: can get this word right, proliferation in poker clubs in
- 23:58Speaker 1: major municipalities such as Austin, Texas, Dallas and Houston. These
- 24:03Speaker 1: establishments currently operate with legal ambug Here we go again,
- 24:11Speaker 1: a million words a mile here ambiguity right the Texas
- 24:17Speaker 1: penal code. So my thing is if they can get
- 24:21Speaker 1: around this and say it's a private place which includes
- 24:26Speaker 1: a club, no cash on the table, and it's a
- 24:30Speaker 1: skill gain. I just don't know why every state doesn't
- 24:36Speaker 1: do this if this is happening, and it's happening at
- 24:39Speaker 1: places around Texas. So I find it pretty interesting that
- 24:44Speaker 1: this looks like a kind of a witch hunt here
- 24:46Speaker 1: maybe in this particular poker room, but there are rooms
- 24:50Speaker 1: around the state that have these the rooms with these
- 24:54Speaker 1: so called illegal poker clubs.
- 24:57Speaker 3: I feel like we are living in the Twilight Zone
- 25:00Speaker 3: in twenty twenty seven. If we if we even have
- 25:04Speaker 3: any issues playing Texas, hold them in Texas?
- 25:09Speaker 2: What are we doing? This is crazy? This is crazy.
- 25:13Speaker 1: I didn't think about that.
- 25:15Speaker 2: What what are we doing?
- 25:16Speaker 3: Like, how can we like, I give up Bill, I mean,
- 25:22Speaker 3: let's just make Texas hold them legal in Texas?
- 25:24Speaker 2: What are we doing?
- 25:25Speaker 1: This is crazy? Yeah? Yeah, Well, we talked about more
- 25:28Speaker 1: casinos coming to Central and North Jersey, Meadowlands Park, a
- 25:33Speaker 1: new pole in New Jersey finds growing support among the
- 25:36Speaker 1: voting public to allow casinos outside of Atlantic City months
- 25:40Speaker 1: after New York greenlit. You know, these these big casinos
- 25:43Speaker 1: that are coming in Queens in the Bronx, New Jersey's
- 25:47Speaker 1: going going to feel the pinch down in Atlantic City.
- 25:50Speaker 1: So they want some Because now these sircular locations are
- 25:55Speaker 1: closer to New York, people may go to New York
- 25:58Speaker 1: instead of Atlantic City. So now hey, let's build some
- 26:01Speaker 1: casinos in North Jersey. And uh, you know this, this
- 26:07Speaker 1: might just happen. But if it does, I just think
- 26:11Speaker 1: enough is enough. You know, you know what, I think
- 26:13Speaker 1: I have a responsible gambling platform, and I just think that,
- 26:19Speaker 1: you know, how much is enough? Really? Washington, d C.
- 26:22Speaker 1: Perfect example, Washington, d C. City Council proposes legalized eye gaming.
- 26:31Speaker 1: I gaming is the death of American gamblers. That's all
- 26:36Speaker 1: I can tell you I gaming. They already have sports
- 26:40Speaker 1: betting there, but now a DC councilman is pushing to
- 26:43Speaker 1: legalize I gaming, arguing the city should regulate and tax
- 26:46Speaker 1: online casinos. This is basically a casino in the palmy
- 26:50Speaker 1: or hand, and this is where the closet gambling is
- 26:53Speaker 1: killing people. This is where this hurts so many people
- 26:58Speaker 1: because the brick and mortar you look at let's look
- 27:02Speaker 1: at the brick and mortar. First, brick and mortar you
- 27:04Speaker 1: know in Atlantic City. I told you your guys that
- 27:06Speaker 1: before the ie gaming triples the brick and mortar casinos.
- 27:09Speaker 1: Not's how much of this gambling. I was just going
- 27:12Speaker 1: about talking about how this hurts people. This hurts people
- 27:15Speaker 1: because you over bet, You're gonna over gamble, You're going
- 27:19Speaker 1: to bet more than you should, because it's you're just
- 27:21Speaker 1: on the problem of your hand. And we can't take
- 27:24Speaker 1: losing as our human makeup. The human condition is made
- 27:29Speaker 1: up of not losing, whether it's checkers, it's a football bet,
- 27:35Speaker 1: it's a fantasy wager. We don't like to go and
- 27:37Speaker 1: hit our beds losing money. So it's going to really
- 27:42Speaker 1: hurt a lot of people when they have one of
- 27:44Speaker 1: those nights and say, oh my god, what did I do?
- 27:48Speaker 1: You wake up in the morning and you say, was
- 27:50Speaker 1: that real? Did that really happen yesterday? By the way,
- 27:55Speaker 1: here I am again, this is talking Bill Krackenberger from experience,
- 28:00Speaker 1: that's right, from experience now not so much eye gaming,
- 28:04Speaker 1: but experience at losing. When I was a kid. I
- 28:07Speaker 1: know that next day we're like, with that a bad dream?
- 28:10Speaker 1: Did that really happen? Did I really do this to myself?
- 28:13Speaker 1: Do I really lose months of paychecks in one night?
- 28:16Speaker 1: This happens? I gaming the death of the American Gambler.
- 28:20Speaker 1: Trust me, I do not like I gaming. I know
- 28:24Speaker 1: they make a lot of money. I know the government's
- 28:26Speaker 1: tax and make a ton of money from taxes on it.
- 28:29Speaker 1: But we don't have it in Vegas. We don't have
- 28:33Speaker 1: it in Vegas, thank god. John. Do they even have
- 28:36Speaker 1: poker on your computer in Vegas or No? They did.
- 28:39Speaker 1: They used to with stations. I don't think they do it.
- 28:42Speaker 2: Yeah you can, I know you can play. I never
- 28:44Speaker 2: play online, but I know you can play like.
- 28:46Speaker 3: World Series of Poker, you can play on their Raftah.
- 28:50Speaker 1: But that's only what people in Nevada, right, Yeah? Correct?
- 28:54Speaker 1: I think so the the quality of the games there
- 28:58Speaker 1: in the state of Nevada. John, why don't you pay?
- 29:00Speaker 1: Why why didn't you ever play? Uh?
- 29:03Speaker 3: I did back in the day, like in O six,
- 29:06Speaker 3: I played online, like at party poker and stuff like that.
- 29:09Speaker 3: But I really don't like I don't like it. I
- 29:11Speaker 3: don't know I like it in person. I like it live.
- 29:14Speaker 1: Really okay, yeah, and uh, speaking of poker, you said
- 29:18Speaker 1: you're can we announce what your dad's gonna be doing?
- 29:20Speaker 3: Or no?
- 29:21Speaker 1: No, not yet? Oh okay, okay, all right, good. So
- 29:25Speaker 1: your dad but they were at the end of the
- 29:26Speaker 1: night and they were texting me saying where are you?
- 29:28Speaker 1: And I was away? So yeah, so your dad will
- 29:31Speaker 1: be coming back and I'll be I'll be yeah at
- 29:34Speaker 1: one point if you allow me to, I'm all I
- 29:36Speaker 1: have to go through John. That he guy. Now your
- 29:42Speaker 1: dad Actually he's going with me, he answers my text.
- 29:43Speaker 1: I don't ever text.
- 29:44Speaker 2: I don't bother him, but I know you could text
- 29:46Speaker 2: him every day.
- 29:47Speaker 1: He would love it. No, he's good. He's back on
- 29:51Speaker 1: Branson now he's here.
- 29:53Speaker 3: He leaves on Friday morning. He's still in Vegas till
- 29:55Speaker 3: Friday morning.
- 29:56Speaker 1: What John on the plane? I save a lot of
- 29:59Speaker 1: things on YouTube. I love YouTube premium, and you're just
- 30:02Speaker 1: saving and download it for the plane ride. It was
- 30:04Speaker 1: a vh one behind the music, and I never knew
- 30:07Speaker 1: it was there. I downloaded a year ago. John, What
- 30:10Speaker 1: year was this from? With your mom on there talking
- 30:12Speaker 1: so much? I think it was thirty years old? Wow. Yeah,
- 30:18Speaker 1: that was thirty years ago. Let me tell you something.
- 30:22Speaker 1: Your mom was like a sex symbol. I want to
- 30:25Speaker 1: tell you, absolutely stunning, stunning. You could see it. So
- 30:30Speaker 1: she was on there talking about four or five different scenes. Yeah,
- 30:34Speaker 1: and it was.
- 30:35Speaker 3: Talking about my dad and Freddie, right, she was talking
- 30:38Speaker 3: about him and Freddy And yeah, I didn't.
- 30:40Speaker 1: I tell you what it hit me now. I was
- 30:42Speaker 1: in like row two of the airplane and against the window,
- 30:46Speaker 1: and thank god, because it got to me a little
- 30:49Speaker 1: bit about his sister. I probably didn't realize about your
- 30:53Speaker 1: dad's sister. Yeah, dying at twenty one.
- 30:57Speaker 2: And yeah, how much is cerebral palsy?
- 31:00Speaker 1: Oh yeah, yeah, you know when you see it. And
- 31:04Speaker 1: I've seen the videos and I seen your grandmother on there.
- 31:06Speaker 1: Your grandmother was on there four or five times too.
- 31:09Speaker 1: She was, yes, cool Tony's mom, Yes talking, Yeah, there,
- 31:12Speaker 1: she was so cool. She was so cool. Listen that
- 31:16Speaker 1: I love finding out about how he was up on
- 31:18Speaker 1: the rooftop singing, and and then you know he's introduced
- 31:21Speaker 1: to Carol King And I just thought it was so
- 31:24Speaker 1: cool man watching that. You've seen it, but you probably
- 31:26Speaker 1: haven't seen it in years.
- 31:27Speaker 2: Right, I haven't seen it in years.
- 31:29Speaker 3: Yeah, I haven't seen it years.
- 31:31Speaker 2: I'm gonna check it out.
- 31:32Speaker 1: It's on YouTube.
- 31:33Speaker 3: Yeah, and he goes to his old where he grew
- 31:37Speaker 3: up in New York.
- 31:37Speaker 2: Right, he's on the roof and yeah, yeah, like the
- 31:40Speaker 2: build little apartment.
- 31:41Speaker 3: Yeah, like they knocked on the door, right like yeah,
- 31:45Speaker 3: so yeah, so cool.
- 31:47Speaker 1: I love that. Yeah.
- 31:48Speaker 2: Did you text him that you watched it?
- 31:50Speaker 1: Yeah? You should. Yeah, I will.
- 31:52Speaker 3: And you should ask him. You should ask him about
- 31:55Speaker 3: his sister after she No, no, no, it's okay, it's okay,
- 32:00Speaker 3: after she died. I don't remember what year she died,
- 32:04Speaker 3: to be honest, because I was little, but I remember
- 32:06Speaker 3: in like I want to say, like in nineteen eighty
- 32:10Speaker 3: two or nineteen eighty three, somewhere around there in New Jersey.
- 32:15Speaker 3: Uh my, my dad helped get a home bill.
- 32:22Speaker 1: It's special. The name of the oh, the photo of
- 32:25Speaker 1: the home.
- 32:26Speaker 3: Yeah, okay, did But did they say who who put
- 32:30Speaker 3: up the money for the home?
- 32:31Speaker 1: No?
- 32:33Speaker 2: No, Donald Trump?
- 32:35Speaker 1: Wow, you're kidding me.
- 32:36Speaker 3: Yeah, I want to say like one point one point
- 32:39Speaker 3: two million or something. No, no, press, no, no, nothing,
- 32:43Speaker 3: it was it was Donald Trump.
- 32:44Speaker 1: Yeah. That's why you know these guys that do things
- 32:47Speaker 1: like that from their heart went out. It's Frank Sinatra.
- 32:51Speaker 1: It came out after he died. He gave away hundreds,
- 32:53Speaker 1: hundreds of millions of dollars he raised, Yeah you know
- 32:57Speaker 1: did he didn't want anyone knowing. Uh. Sammy Davis's wife,
- 33:02Speaker 1: I think her name was Altavis. I think it was
- 33:03Speaker 1: her name, sim that was her name. Frank nifty nifty
- 33:07Speaker 1: told me this. Nifty said Bill I was with him.
- 33:10Speaker 1: He wrote out a check for a million dollars and
- 33:12Speaker 1: said pay your bills and gave and gave it to Altavis.
- 33:15Speaker 1: It's like listen, you know, like Sammy was in debt
- 33:18Speaker 1: at the end. I think he right, and uh yeah, like.
- 33:20Speaker 3: Like Dana Dana does it daily. Yes, Dana White does
- 33:25Speaker 3: it daily. Stuff you never hear about people. He doesn't
- 33:30Speaker 3: even know people health issues need surgery.
- 33:34Speaker 1: That gave incredible eighty five dollars that night, gave me
- 33:39Speaker 1: a thousand bucks. Yeah. I backed up from and got mad.
- 33:42Speaker 1: Remember he got mad?
- 33:43Speaker 3: Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, he's incredible.
- 33:46Speaker 1: I held a thousand dollars trip for like five months.
- 33:48Speaker 3: I know, I remember, I was like, go cast it,
- 33:50Speaker 3: what are you doing?
- 33:51Speaker 2: Give it to me?
- 33:55Speaker 1: Anyway? What a great special John. It was so good. Yeah,
- 33:59Speaker 1: And anyone who likes old school stuff's got to watch
- 34:02Speaker 1: that Behind the Music with Tony Orlando.
- 34:04Speaker 3: And I want to say that was like the fourth
- 34:07Speaker 3: or fifth Behind the Music ever, You're killing me. No,
- 34:11Speaker 3: I think they did Rick James. I don't remember who
- 34:13Speaker 3: who the first one was. I know they did Rick
- 34:15Speaker 3: James and I did my dad like it was early.
- 34:18Speaker 2: This is really early, man.
- 34:20Speaker 1: Yeah. Wow, that's the first one I ever seen your mom. Really,
- 34:22Speaker 1: I've seen some photos. I just right, it was so good.
- 34:26Speaker 1: You probably it's a tough watch for me. For me,
- 34:30Speaker 1: it was because I'm I I hate to say it,
- 34:32Speaker 1: I hate to sound so cocky and arrogant. I'm in
- 34:35Speaker 1: the family now.
- 34:36Speaker 2: So you are.
- 34:38Speaker 1: It's really tough. It was a tough watch. Felt things
- 34:41Speaker 1: about his sister. I knew he had a sister that died,
- 34:44Speaker 1: but I didn't know how she responded with cerebral palsy
- 34:47Speaker 1: to his music and how happy she was.
- 34:49Speaker 3: Hey, you know he dropped out of school in the
- 34:52Speaker 3: eighth grade to take care of her.
- 34:54Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 34:55Speaker 3: Yeah, because his mom my grandmother had to work, and
- 34:59Speaker 3: so no one could.
- 35:00Speaker 2: Who's gonna watch her? Yeah, what a great imagine I.
- 35:04Speaker 3: Mean, really, he defied all the odds. You think about it,
- 35:07Speaker 3: my dad, I mean, like, you know, drop out of
- 35:09Speaker 3: not even high Schood junior high, you know what I mean,
- 35:11Speaker 3: dropped out of school eighth grade.
- 35:13Speaker 2: To turn his life.
- 35:15Speaker 1: Into what he turned it into really is extraordinary. It's
- 35:18Speaker 1: it's unbelievable. It's unbelievable. Yeah, John, Let's let's talk about
- 35:22Speaker 1: this week's wager Wire special. I saw this a four
- 35:26Speaker 1: leg cash two legs so far, boy, I can't believe
- 35:31Speaker 1: that what it's only worth. I'm gonna read these legs. Yeah,
- 35:34Speaker 1: Seattle to beat the Patriots. Okay, it's that's a Seattle
- 35:38Speaker 1: to beat the Patriots. Think they got plus two forty
- 35:41Speaker 1: on that. Now. I like to know when they bet
- 35:43Speaker 1: this though, because let's see, I like to know when
- 35:47Speaker 1: they bet that, because obviously Seattle was a favorite to
- 35:49Speaker 1: beat the Patriots, so they must have been it at
- 35:51Speaker 1: a time they were plus plus forty. Uh. The USA
- 35:56Speaker 1: to win the Winter Olympics. Men, I'm guess, and that
- 36:00Speaker 1: was I don't know what event. Doesn't really say what
- 36:03Speaker 1: event here, it just says winner. I'm looking at the
- 36:05Speaker 1: actual ticket. But so they won those two legs.
- 36:09Speaker 3: Uh?
- 36:09Speaker 1: The Olympic hockey. Was that was had to be Olympic hockey.
- 36:12Speaker 1: Oh right right, yeah, men's men's hockey, which was a
- 36:16Speaker 1: good upset there, so they had a Yeah. The next
- 36:19Speaker 1: one is okay, okay, see the ok see thunder to
- 36:23Speaker 1: win the finals. They're now plus a dollar twenty five,
- 36:27Speaker 1: and they're plus a dollar twenty five on on this
- 36:30Speaker 1: ticket there puzzle dollar twenty And then the longer shot
- 36:33Speaker 1: was just France to win the World Cup. Now I
- 36:35Speaker 1: know very little about the World Cup. You know, the
- 36:40Speaker 1: World Cup is the big one's okay, see winning and
- 36:43Speaker 1: then and I should know more about the World Cup
- 36:46Speaker 1: because I know it's going to be in the United
- 36:48Speaker 1: States this year. Are you you're not a soccer guy
- 36:50Speaker 1: like me, John, don't know.
- 36:51Speaker 2: I'm not.
- 36:52Speaker 1: I'm I don't know.
- 36:54Speaker 3: I've tried to get into soccer. Meche is always young.
- 36:57Speaker 3: I mean, you know me from World Series Mache. You
- 37:00Speaker 3: know she's telling me I got to go to a game.
- 37:03Speaker 3: I gotta get into soccer. I just I don't know, man,
- 37:07Speaker 3: you like it?
- 37:07Speaker 1: Yeah, I'll watch the World Cup. I'll watch the rod
- 37:11Speaker 1: will Yeah. Yeah, they took France. They took plus eight
- 37:15Speaker 1: hundred on this ticket, France is down plus about five
- 37:19Speaker 1: fifty now six to one, so this ticket is four leger.
- 37:24Speaker 1: It's not worth too much, but there wasn't a lot wagers,
- 37:26Speaker 1: so it's twenty five dollars to win five twenty four
- 37:30Speaker 1: dollars and which is about two hundred to one, and
- 37:35Speaker 1: the two legs in right now, they actually have a
- 37:39Speaker 1: cash out offer of one hundred and fifty five dollars,
- 37:41Speaker 1: which seems very low. The website they betted on, which
- 37:45Speaker 1: is six times they already won Seattle to beat New
- 37:48Speaker 1: England and the USA to win, they're only offering one
- 37:51Speaker 1: hundred and fifty dollars over at wager Wire, it's three
- 37:54Speaker 1: seventy bet value, so it's three forty five profit. But
- 37:58Speaker 1: would I sell this for the three hundred and seventy bucks.
- 38:01Speaker 1: I need to see how OKAC does. If OKAC does
- 38:05Speaker 1: does well here and and wins that part of the ticket,
- 38:08Speaker 1: then this team. Uh. They're saying that the value will
- 38:12Speaker 1: be about eight hundred dollars, So eight hundred dollars and
- 38:16Speaker 1: the current odds is six to one. That's forty eight
- 38:19Speaker 1: uh compared to the fifty five that you're cashing out
- 38:24Speaker 1: with the bet fifty four, the fifty four hundred. Uh
- 38:27Speaker 1: now five thousand? Oh god, yeah, I'm not. You might
- 38:31Speaker 1: as well just let this go. I'm not. I'm not
- 38:33Speaker 1: looking to sell right now. See what happens with okac again.
- 38:38Speaker 1: This is wagerwire dot com and the wager Wire app.
- 38:41Speaker 1: They always have a lot of good deals and and
- 38:44Speaker 1: and uh, you know some one of the commenters, some idiot,
- 38:48Speaker 1: said I was trying to rob someone last week off
- 38:50Speaker 1: front of the deal. No, that's what the wager Wire
- 38:52Speaker 1: marketplace is. The wager Wire marketplace is a marketplace. You're bidding,
- 38:57Speaker 1: you're buying, you're anything, you're dealing. Yeah what did he write?
- 39:02Speaker 2: I remember what?
- 39:03Speaker 1: Did the comments say?
- 39:04Speaker 2: You gotta be kidding me?
- 39:06Speaker 1: Stopped. I stopped reading comments for him.
- 39:08Speaker 2: Oh my god.
- 39:09Speaker 1: Someone someone actually pointed out to me and said, you know,
- 39:12Speaker 1: you should respond to this idiot. And I read, I read,
- 39:15Speaker 1: correct me.
- 39:15Speaker 3: If I'm wrong, you offered, you offered I want to say,
- 39:19Speaker 3: ten or twelve grands? Okay, twelve grand plus the guy
- 39:25Speaker 3: would still own a piece of the ticket, righty, like
- 39:30Speaker 3: you he Oh my goodness, yeah.
- 39:33Speaker 1: You have to have a ticket. But I guess the
- 39:36Speaker 1: situation was that I was. Yes, I'm not doing it
- 39:39Speaker 1: to give him a break even odds. I'm doing it
- 39:42Speaker 1: because some guy bet X amount and this is twelve
- 39:45Speaker 1: thousands a lot of money. Then wi's a lot of
- 39:47Speaker 1: money to me. But right, well here it is, ready,
- 39:51Speaker 1: what a dirt bag this guy is. I'll buy half
- 39:53Speaker 1: your ticket for twelve thousand. Whoever own is that ticket.
- 39:56Speaker 1: I'm gonna assume you are not clueless and not new
- 39:58Speaker 1: to gambling. But like, that's the idea of doing that.
- 40:03Speaker 1: I should be ashamed of myself.
- 40:04Speaker 3: Yeah, I really half your ticket for twelve thousand. That
- 40:07Speaker 3: could be worth nothing if the game, if he.
- 40:10Speaker 2: Loses the game, Like, this is so nuts.
- 40:13Speaker 1: You could hedge, but you have to have the ouch.
- 40:15Speaker 1: You have to know the math behind it. There's a
- 40:18Speaker 1: lot more to it.
- 40:19Speaker 2: Plus you have the money. Yeah, money, and you gotta
- 40:22Speaker 2: have the money to hedge. Oh my god, I can't
- 40:25Speaker 2: even know.
- 40:25Speaker 1: People, that's your whole takeaway from the show. Great job.
- 40:29Speaker 3: But he's not mad at but you not offered to
- 40:32Speaker 3: step in. He's not mad at wager Wire.
- 40:35Speaker 1: That's right. No, I'm just but now that's oh my god.
- 40:40Speaker 1: Maybe we go back and forth. I don't know if anyway,
- 40:43Speaker 1: it's just funny stuff, all new music coming to town.
- 40:48Speaker 1: This is your kind of music. Chris Brown and Usher,
- 40:50Speaker 1: I've seen all those little Actually they're good Hushers great.
- 40:56Speaker 2: Chris Brown is great. Back in the day.
- 40:58Speaker 1: I don't know him.
- 40:58Speaker 2: Chris Brown's got some yeah you do.
- 41:00Speaker 3: He's got some big hits, but he's had a lot
- 41:02Speaker 3: of trouble off the stage, you know.
- 41:06Speaker 2: Violence.
- 41:07Speaker 1: Yeah, this is like you like you? Okay, So Usher,
- 41:13Speaker 1: I'm just falling around and people take me seriously, why
- 41:15Speaker 1: are you making fun of John? The idea if John
- 41:20Speaker 1: didn't like to get rid of him and get somebody else.
- 41:23Speaker 1: But Usher was very good entertainer. He was a great dancer.
- 41:28Speaker 1: Chris Brown.
- 41:28Speaker 3: At one point, you you could argue Michael Jackson kind
- 41:31Speaker 3: of passed the torch a little bit to Usher at
- 41:33Speaker 3: one point.
- 41:34Speaker 1: Right, Yeah, that's credited him. Yeah, my wife and her
- 41:38Speaker 1: girlfriend full in town. My girlfriend full in town. My girlfriend. Wow,
- 41:42Speaker 1: I get in trouble with that one. My wife's girlfriend
- 41:45Speaker 1: flew into town. Yeah for Usher, and I got the ticket.
- 41:50Speaker 2: Where is that show? Usher and Chris Brown?
- 41:52Speaker 1: Where is it? Well? This is this is uh, this
- 41:55Speaker 1: is Chris David The Stadium Tour that where my my
- 41:58Speaker 1: wife's seen him at Ellege and so I'm sure this
- 42:00Speaker 1: has to be Allegiance. Oh wow, okay, okay, yes, Husher.
- 42:05Speaker 1: The dates mark his first Allegiant appearance since headlining the
- 42:07Speaker 1: Super Bowl halftime show in twenty twenty four. Yeah, so
- 42:10Speaker 1: there's some big some big names. Now, these these other
- 42:14Speaker 1: I don't know these other names here. So Kenny Chez,
- 42:17Speaker 1: they I know him. He he when he's off at
- 42:20Speaker 1: the Sphere Illuminum Illuminium, I L L E.
- 42:24Speaker 3: N I U M as ellennium E Llennium big, big DJ,
- 42:28Speaker 3: big DJ.
- 42:29Speaker 1: Yeah. Okay, so he's got m he's been to be there.
- 42:33Speaker 3: He's murdering it at the Sphere and uh, it's interesting
- 42:37Speaker 3: because they're bringing you know, it's the Sphere, so it's
- 42:41Speaker 3: not like a nightclub, so it's you don't have to
- 42:43Speaker 3: be twenty one like when he you know a lot
- 42:44Speaker 3: of times he's an excess nightclub or wherever he is.
- 42:46Speaker 3: You know. So you'll see kids that they all they're
- 42:49Speaker 3: buying these jerseys that say Elenium on the back, and
- 42:52Speaker 3: you'll see like you know, husband, wife, kid, nine year old,
- 42:57Speaker 3: twelve year old kids at this concert.
- 42:59Speaker 2: Yeah, he's been that bird you hear that, Yes, hear it.
- 43:04Speaker 1: It sounds like the masters. Jesus. He's literally.
- 43:10Speaker 3: He's literally right outside of this tree every morning, I
- 43:13Speaker 3: hear and later, yeah, late at night.
- 43:15Speaker 1: Every morning. Honestly, honestly, I tipped my hat so you
- 43:20Speaker 1: got the clearest fucking head out there listening to the
- 43:23Speaker 1: birds chirping in the.
- 43:24Speaker 3: Morning and night, and we got you know what you'd love.
- 43:30Speaker 3: Can you see, bro, let me just let me wait,
- 43:34Speaker 3: let me show you this. Let me No, No, let's
- 43:36Speaker 3: let me show you this I got.
- 43:39Speaker 1: I'm grinding my way.
- 43:41Speaker 2: I gotta show you this, trying to grind you see.
- 43:45Speaker 2: Can you see this tree?
- 43:47Speaker 1: Okay?
- 43:48Speaker 3: Uh right, I don't know if you can see this
- 43:51Speaker 3: right where I'm pointing.
- 43:53Speaker 1: No, I can't see anything behind that is that?
- 43:54Speaker 3: That was a humming bird's nest that had two baby
- 43:58Speaker 3: humming birds in it.
- 43:59Speaker 1: They finally I got old enough to fly a week ago.
- 44:02Speaker 3: But you see this, this chair and these green straps them.
- 44:08Speaker 1: No, it was so windy last week.
- 44:10Speaker 3: Vanessa was worried that the hunting bird the little babies
- 44:14Speaker 3: were getting blown out. The wind was insane, so she
- 44:17Speaker 3: anchored the tree. She anchored the tree to the to this.
- 44:22Speaker 3: She's so handy, and she moved this chair under there
- 44:25Speaker 3: so in case if they fell, they'd hit the cushion.
- 44:28Speaker 1: Oh my god.
- 44:30Speaker 3: Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah they survived it.
- 44:33Speaker 2: We watched them fly away a couple of days ago.
- 44:36Speaker 1: And now the start crying right everything, no, but exciting.
- 44:43Speaker 3: And then and then this bill see uh this we have.
- 44:49Speaker 2: We have uh stray cats.
- 44:52Speaker 3: There's four different stray cats that have been coming uh
- 44:57Speaker 3: and we've been feeding these straight cats. I was showing
- 45:02Speaker 3: you that there's some stray cats that have been coming around,
- 45:06Speaker 3: so now we feed these.
- 45:08Speaker 2: There was one black.
- 45:09Speaker 3: Straight cat, and then all of a sudden there was
- 45:11Speaker 3: a gray one, and then all white with a black tail,
- 45:14Speaker 3: all white cat with a black tail, and then and
- 45:17Speaker 3: then a black cat with a tuxedo vest with white.
- 45:20Speaker 3: So there's four straight cats and they just rotate all
- 45:23Speaker 3: every night and they come. It's crazy. It's like a
- 45:27Speaker 3: zoo over here.
- 45:28Speaker 2: We have a small zoo.
- 45:29Speaker 1: Your cats get along with them, or they don't know.
- 45:31Speaker 2: Our cats stay inside. We don't let them out.
- 45:34Speaker 3: But yeah, these cats, we felt bad, you know, so
- 45:37Speaker 3: we're feeding them again.
- 45:40Speaker 1: I wish I had that kind of clear head. And
- 45:42Speaker 1: uh yeah, no, no, no, the only fans money is
- 45:46Speaker 1: rolling in over there, all right. Leonard Sinner is yeah,
- 45:54Speaker 1: and they're gonna be Yeah. I've seen Leonard Skinner was
- 45:57Speaker 1: backstage with them, really nice guys. They're gonna go this weekend.
- 46:01Speaker 1: I probably won't go. I've seen them. Yeah, I've seen
- 46:04Speaker 1: them like two or three times. Listen, this is the story.
- 46:08Speaker 1: Do you know about what happened down there in Florida
- 46:10Speaker 1: at the hard Rock And it's one of my joints.
- 46:12Speaker 1: I like it down there, beautiful casinos, hard Rock, Tampa,
- 46:15Speaker 1: hard Rock, Hollywood, great places. Did you see the shooting
- 46:19Speaker 1: outside in Valley? Did you hear about this? Yeah? What
- 46:22Speaker 1: do you say it? Were you involved? He said it
- 46:24Speaker 1: so quiet?
- 46:25Speaker 3: No, no, no, I saw I saw it.
- 46:26Speaker 1: It's just crazy. What goes on is just a crazy guy.
- 46:29Speaker 1: Is seeking the public's help to identify suspects in the
- 46:31Speaker 1: April sixth shooting of Offset. Is that a rapper? A
- 46:36Speaker 1: rapper Little l I L TJ. Was arrested unrelated charges,
- 46:41Speaker 1: but uh seminal hard Rock in Florida. New surveillance of
- 46:45Speaker 1: individuals the getaway vehicle. Wow, these guys are bringing out
- 46:49Speaker 1: guns shooting people. You know, I like to say that
- 46:52Speaker 1: one of these days you're gonna have You're gonna have
- 46:55Speaker 1: metal detectors in every single casino. You might need them
- 46:58Speaker 1: down there. So but this one help. This was at Valet.
- 47:02Speaker 1: They were outside at Valets. This is not the casino's fault,
- 47:05Speaker 1: for sure. They responded pretty quick though, But yeah, remember
- 47:10Speaker 1: pull out a handgun. How do you fire at someone
- 47:14Speaker 1: in Vale? Just Jesus, this this cameras out there, they
- 47:17Speaker 1: got they got a photo of you. I mean, they
- 47:19Speaker 1: got they got your photo. Just turn yourself in. I mean,
- 47:24Speaker 1: I just can't believe that the suspects are at large.
- 47:26Speaker 1: But it's just this is the individual also wanting for questioning.
- 47:34Speaker 1: But they they really a lot of these particular things
- 47:38Speaker 1: happen in casinos and you see these things and you
- 47:42Speaker 1: just say to yourself, thank God, it didn't happen in
- 47:44Speaker 1: the casino and someone innocent did not get killed. But
- 47:47Speaker 1: I've seen that thought that was an interesting story. Let's
- 47:52Speaker 1: go back to the last thing about uh entertainment here
- 47:57Speaker 1: Celine Dion Celine Dion, I she was coming back. Did
- 48:01Speaker 1: you hear that? John? No?
- 48:03Speaker 2: I thought she couldn't sing.
- 48:05Speaker 1: Selene casino companies are offering record breaking sums to land
- 48:10Speaker 1: Selene Dion's return. The superstar had a twenty twenty six
- 48:15Speaker 1: Paris residency, which is going to be viewed as a
- 48:19Speaker 1: medical litmus test for her third Las Vegas residency. She's
- 48:23Speaker 1: had two different residencies here in town.
- 48:26Speaker 2: Wait, she's going to be at Paris.
- 48:28Speaker 1: No in Paris, in Paris. Oh oh, oh the country Paris.
- 48:33Speaker 1: Hold on, yeah, anyone went yeah, confused? Of course, thirty
- 48:38Speaker 1: thousand fans that Francis in Francis, Paris Lot Defense Arena,
- 48:44Speaker 1: Europe's largest indoor arena, September twelfth, October seventeenth, ten dates,
- 48:50Speaker 1: and then she's adding six more because of overall dates.
- 48:54Speaker 1: The ten dates. This is incredible, It's actually incredible. I've
- 48:57Speaker 1: seen that Celine Dion special that was just unbelievable about
- 49:01Speaker 1: her walking and.
- 49:02Speaker 2: She was right right.
- 49:04Speaker 1: He was in her house in Las Vegas, up at
- 49:06Speaker 1: Lake Las Vegas and just.
- 49:09Speaker 3: Like frozen shoulder or something. Right, she had some sort
- 49:12Speaker 3: of shoulder thing.
- 49:13Speaker 1: Unbelievable. Wow. I hope, I hope she comes back. My
- 49:16Speaker 1: mom and my aunt Deeloris, I got them tickets for
- 49:19Speaker 1: Celine Dion when when she was at the coliseum and
- 49:23Speaker 1: not thinking too much about it. They came out both
- 49:26Speaker 1: with tears in their eyes instead.
- 49:28Speaker 3: I saw her at the coliseum twice.
- 49:31Speaker 1: I've seen her. She was incredible. I absolutely did.
- 49:34Speaker 3: She's arguably, uh what number two right in terms of
- 49:41Speaker 3: vocal Whitney and Selene right, number one too right.
- 49:46Speaker 1: I think those I love them. I love the listen.
- 49:51Speaker 1: I gotta I gotta put Barber Schreiss in in there. Okay, Yeah,
- 49:56Speaker 1: even though she's supposed to leave the country, which she didn't. Yeah,
- 50:00Speaker 1: I gotta put her in there. All these celebrities say
- 50:03Speaker 1: that leave the country. Bruce Springston going around going crazy
- 50:06Speaker 1: the narrow by the way, I have really no problem
- 50:10Speaker 1: with anyone saying anything that I just don't like. Be
- 50:13Speaker 1: a singer, be an actor. I don't want to hear anything. Yeah,
- 50:16Speaker 1: either side, I don't know anything anyway. So any that's
- 50:22Speaker 1: you're You've got pretty good voices there, Celine Dion, Uh yeah,
- 50:26Speaker 1: strike saying Whitney Houston. I think Whitney Houston's rendition of
- 50:29Speaker 1: the Super Bowl of opening the Super Bowl the star
- 50:32Speaker 1: Spangled banner, national, don't you see the national anthem? The
- 50:35Speaker 1: national national anthem?
- 50:36Speaker 2: Best ever, ever, unbelievable.
- 50:41Speaker 1: I actually like Lady Gaga's rendition, and there's a lot
- 50:43Speaker 1: of renditions I like so Lady Gaga.
- 50:46Speaker 3: But anyway, he's great, very underrated, uh vocally.
- 50:51Speaker 1: I've seen her with Tony Bennett thought I thought they
- 50:53Speaker 1: were great.
- 50:54Speaker 2: Tony, did you did you go see them at parks?
- 50:57Speaker 1: They were great? They were great? Yeah, they were great.
- 51:01Speaker 1: They were great. You know, I'm with some people. I
- 51:03Speaker 1: told you, I'm over here at uh right across from
- 51:06Speaker 1: the clubhouse. I showed them last night a couple of
- 51:09Speaker 1: videos they never seen a couple of videos that I like.
- 51:11Speaker 1: I like these shows. When they did carpool Karaoke, this
- 51:14Speaker 1: was Do you see the one with Paul McCartney, of course,
- 51:16Speaker 1: right when he goes to it was so good. I
- 51:19Speaker 1: showed people that last night. I forgot. I haven't seen
- 51:22Speaker 1: it years. How good that's karaoke with Paul McCartney is unbelievable.
- 51:27Speaker 1: So I also, I don't know why I'm mentioned in that.
- 51:30Speaker 1: I just some un believed music. You gotta feel music,
- 51:33Speaker 1: and guess what, people during football, basketball, it's really hard
- 51:38Speaker 1: during college sports. But when the season's over, like now,
- 51:42Speaker 1: I was into music last night, watching video after video
- 51:45Speaker 1: after video. I love I love. I'm getting into believing
- 51:49Speaker 1: in on Amy Winehouse now. I like her and Tony
- 51:52Speaker 1: Bennett also.
- 51:53Speaker 2: But ye, did you see that movie, the movie about her?
- 51:56Speaker 1: You know it's on Netflix. It's called Amy, I think,
- 51:59Speaker 1: and I have to see I have to see it
- 52:01Speaker 1: because yeah, did you see it? Or no? Yeah it
- 52:06Speaker 1: was really good? Was it really good? Yeah? No, I
- 52:10Speaker 1: have to see it. And I just like some of
- 52:13Speaker 1: her video, some of her stage appearances, singing live and
- 52:17Speaker 1: I just steel so bad at that kid twenty seven
- 52:19Speaker 1: years old joining the twenty seven year again. Another person
- 52:24Speaker 1: dying again at twenty seven years old. There's so many.
- 52:28Speaker 1: I think Chan's Joplin, Jimmy Hendrix, Jim Morrison, of course,
- 52:33Speaker 1: lots of people that died at twenty seven. Maybe Kurt Cobain.
- 52:37Speaker 1: I'm not positive if he was twenty seven, but young
- 52:41Speaker 1: last story one of your people here, three time lottery
- 52:47Speaker 1: winner says the aliens gave him the numbers. Look at this?
- 52:53Speaker 1: Come on, yeah, come on, look at this genius?
- 52:56Speaker 3: Well three wait three times, like literally three times.
- 53:00Speaker 1: No, he's not winning. It's not like he's winning. Uh
- 53:04Speaker 1: the when they picked six balls? What is that?
- 53:07Speaker 3: Oh? Okay, so he's winning like scratchers, like like scratch.
- 53:12Speaker 1: Thousand, five hundred seventeen to five. But it's just funny.
- 53:16Speaker 3: That's still amazing.
- 53:17Speaker 1: Last year, Gary Arnold said he was directed by the
- 53:21Speaker 1: mysterious beings to playing the power ball using numbers revealed
- 53:25Speaker 1: in a spectrogram. Disappointingly, the aliens were toying with him
- 53:30Speaker 1: and he was two numbers short. So he's trying to
- 53:34Speaker 1: figure out why this intangible's happened and how they're trying
- 53:39Speaker 1: to make contact to him. Again, I just hopt this
- 53:41Speaker 1: was a cute star, a funny story really, but uh yeah,
- 53:44Speaker 1: this guy, he's it's not verifiable. There's a couple other
- 53:49Speaker 1: stories about him, but it's verifiable. How he said that
- 53:52Speaker 1: the aliens helped them with the numbers. So now that
- 53:55Speaker 1: you're out in the backyard there, maybe there's a certain
- 53:57Speaker 1: sequence that bird can sing and get to them. Yeah
- 54:02Speaker 1: story but maybe yeah, John Well and listen, I'm gonna
- 54:07Speaker 1: be back. I'll be back for the weekend there and
