- 1:34Speaker 1: Let's go, Let's go, Let's go. It's a story you
- 1:37Speaker 1: need to hear to believe. Then grab your popcorn because
- 1:40Speaker 1: there is more. I want to give you a one
- 1:43Speaker 1: two punch regarding immigrations and customers enforcement, because we should
- 1:46Speaker 1: at least understand how some other people might view the situation.
- 1:52Speaker 1: I did not want Renee Good shot. I think what
- 1:55Speaker 1: Renee Good and all these so called protesters are doing
- 1:58Speaker 1: is disgusting. It is obvious that the left is looking
- 2:02Speaker 1: for fights, wanting violence, and they don't care who dies.
- 2:07Speaker 1: That is based on their actions. That does not mean
- 2:12Speaker 1: that everybody who might look at their actions and say
- 2:15Speaker 1: that's suspicable. Is okay with everything happening regarding Ice, and
- 2:20Speaker 1: so there's this narrative that's starting to form, and I
- 2:23Speaker 1: want to discuss it now. Let's start with everybody's favorite
- 2:26Speaker 1: comedy Bernie Sanders. I'm very worried that is is becoming
- 2:33Speaker 1: a domestic only for Donald Trump. And this goes way
- 2:39Speaker 1: beyond the issue of immigration. It goes to the movement in.
- 2:44Speaker 2: This country toward authoritarianism.
- 2:46Speaker 1: In fear. Well, you're talking about a guy who's been
- 2:49Speaker 1: talking about authoritarianism for forever. This is what he does
- 2:54Speaker 1: while he wants to institute his communist approach and then
- 2:59Speaker 1: claims that other people are authoritarian. That's adorable, but an
- 3:03Speaker 1: interesting use of the terminology. He's worried that ICE is
- 3:06Speaker 1: becoming a domestic army for Donald Trump. I would put
- 3:11Speaker 1: forth to you that any of us, if we were
- 3:15Speaker 1: just sitting you me on the barstool having abourbon, that
- 3:20Speaker 1: we would be concerned at any time that a government
- 3:23Speaker 1: could be used against the people. Certainly we saw this
- 3:28Speaker 1: regarding President Trump with the doj of Joe Biden weaponized
- 3:34Speaker 1: against Trump, weaponized against the people. We saw the irs
- 3:41Speaker 1: weaponized against tea party groups. So the concern of on
- 3:46Speaker 1: any level of this, considering we've seen this from our government,
- 3:52Speaker 1: I think, is a legitimate one, and it rests in
- 3:57Speaker 1: people's heads somewhere in the back in the occipital, however
- 4:01Speaker 1: you want to describe it. That we know that our
- 4:06Speaker 1: job is to be wary of an ever large, ever increasing,
- 4:12Speaker 1: ever growing government. So I find it interesting that under
- 4:16Speaker 1: analysis Bernie Sanders is engaged in a conversation of concern
- 4:20Speaker 1: against the thing that he wants, which is government growth.
- 4:24Speaker 1: But that leads us to this part two conversation. This
- 4:27Speaker 1: is Jim vander High, who is Axios and he is
- 4:32Speaker 1: on MS now miss now listen, I didn't name the thing,
- 4:41Speaker 1: don't yell at me. And he's on there with the
- 4:44Speaker 1: Morning Joe Folk, who used to be the intellectual morning show.
- 4:48Speaker 1: And so this is about how people allegedly inside the
- 4:53Speaker 1: White House are worried about the crackdown on immigration.
- 4:58Speaker 2: But if you step back and you think about the
- 4:59Speaker 2: top one hundred problems facing the country, the idea that
- 5:02Speaker 2: some people are here illegally and working at Target in
- 5:05Speaker 2: Minneapolis doesn't strike most people as one that would would.
- 5:08Speaker 1: Crack that list, and I must start by saying that's
- 5:13Speaker 1: not true. Now, I assume that Jim vander High is
- 5:17Speaker 1: going to point to some polling, But the near eighty
- 5:22Speaker 1: million Americans who voted for Donald Trump voted on this issue.
- 5:30Speaker 1: You're right. They might be taking a look at their
- 5:31Speaker 1: four oh one k They might be taking a look
- 5:33Speaker 1: at gold prices. They might be taking a look at
- 5:35Speaker 1: the economy at large. They might be taking a look
- 5:36Speaker 1: at education or healthcare at any one moment. But if
- 5:41Speaker 1: we want to talk about subjects that got trumped back
- 5:44Speaker 1: into the White House, this is in the top three,
- 5:50Speaker 1: Kamala Harris being number one and two. Can't have that, No, no, no,
- 5:55Speaker 1: really can't have that. Oh and by the way, the
- 5:58Speaker 1: border and illegal immigration's scots, it's all the same subjects.
- 6:01Speaker 1: So while at any one moment his comment might be true, overall,
- 6:08Speaker 1: I don't think it is true. But give it a
- 6:11Speaker 1: little more time.
- 6:12Speaker 2: And then they look at the polling, and that polling's
- 6:14Speaker 2: been shared with the President and his political team every day.
- 6:17Speaker 2: It's getting worse in terms of what people think of
- 6:19Speaker 2: the immigration policy. And they think about this idea of
- 6:23Speaker 2: sending US troops or government officials or government, people working
- 6:31Speaker 2: for the government into these cities, into democratic cities, and
- 6:34Speaker 2: then having this level of violence, this level of chaos.
- 6:39Speaker 1: So I would say to Jamna, who I'd never met,
- 6:43Speaker 1: and I would have on the show, I would have
- 6:44Speaker 1: no reason. I don't think non too that if the
- 6:49Speaker 1: actions of ICE were in a vacuum, isolated from other realities,
- 6:54Speaker 1: I think you'd have a point. And I would think
- 6:57Speaker 1: that if there is an actual concern within the White House,
- 7:01Speaker 1: I would argue, there's always concerns in the White House
- 7:04Speaker 1: about how something looks. I think that's I think that
- 7:07Speaker 1: would be standard politics. One oh one. I think this
- 7:10Speaker 1: would be true of democratic administration, Republican administrations, libertarian administrations,
- 7:14Speaker 1: if there ever was one right, that would be a
- 7:16Speaker 1: standard thing if this existed solely and exclusively in a vacuum.
- 7:25Speaker 1: But it doesn't. The actions of ICE, which someone on
- 7:30Speaker 1: the political right could say, dude, they need to engage
- 7:33Speaker 1: this much better, with much more focus, they really do.
- 7:38Speaker 1: It could be countered by are you seeing the attacks
- 7:40Speaker 1: from the left, the violence of the left, the videos
- 7:43Speaker 1: calling for ICE agents to be killed, ice agents being
- 7:46Speaker 1: shot at. Look how they're blocking traffic, Look they're throwing snowballs,
- 7:49Speaker 1: they're throwing ice balls. They're getting violent. They are violent.
- 7:53Speaker 1: They're burning things down, they're destroying buildings. His argument would work.
- 8:00Speaker 1: You could actually see it and be like, Okay, therefore
- 8:03Speaker 1: this or they should rethink certain levels of approach if
- 8:06Speaker 1: it existed in a vacuum. And it doesn't. And that's
- 8:10Speaker 1: what I think is missing here. What's missing on MS
- 8:14Speaker 1: now someone like you and someone like me saying, guys,
- 8:18Speaker 1: you're not looking at the whole story again
