- 0:23I don't know man. I guess like sometimes like for
- 0:26like when you're so focused on God, you know, family becomes
- 0:322nd and God becomes first, right?
- 0:35Yeah. In your mind, right?
- 0:38Yeah, there's a lot of take Scripture to back that up.
- 0:43You know, I mean, you can, you can be very radical about it or
- 0:50not, right? You know, I mean, Christ did
- 0:53say, you know, if you love your mother and your father more than
- 0:55me, you're not worthy of me, right.
- 0:58He's he's obviously not implying to hate them.
- 1:00No, absolutely not. But when it comes to decision
- 1:06making towards the things of the world versus Christ that obtain
- 1:11to family, I guess you could say yeah, that you would.
- 1:13Uphold right. Right.
- 1:15That is basically what he's implying.
- 1:18Yeah. And those challenges might occur
- 1:25in someone's family, especially for a believer or for someone
- 1:28who, for instance, was not a believer.
- 1:32It becomes one. The family then doesn't
- 1:35understand that. Yeah, that be Catholic, Orthodox
- 1:40or Protestant. The sacrifices you make to full
- 1:43on serve God are like a challenge to those they don't
- 1:47understand. That's true.
- 1:49That's very true. But for a believer, presenting
- 1:54yourself daily as that lifting sacrifice, like Paul talks
- 1:57about, it challenges, other challenges arise because your
- 2:04whole family is also a believer, right?
- 2:06Right. And there are moments where you
- 2:10do get frustrated, you get mad. There are moments like for
- 2:15example, today I was like around evening, I was like frustrated
- 2:19for no reason. There is no reason for me to be
- 2:21upset. Like could have been the heat.
- 2:23I don't like the heat. Oh, it was hot today, Yeah.
- 2:26But I, I just frustrated, dude. Then I was kind of like take it
- 2:29out, taking it on my dad and then on my mom.
- 2:32And I'm like, right, I was getting a bit out of control, so
- 2:35I had to like, just calm myself down.
- 2:37Like, you know what, I got to chill out, you know?
- 2:39Yeah, yeah. There's just some things we
- 2:41don't have anything in in control.
- 2:43We can plan for things, we can come up with ideas, you know,
- 2:47but sometimes it's just not going to might work.
- 2:50It might not work. Right, right.
- 2:52No, it's true. Absolutely.
- 2:54And so I understand you want to do God's will and be away from
- 2:57everybody and just do it right without being interrupted or,
- 3:02or, or being challenged to why you're doing.
- 3:03It. Yes, exactly.
- 3:05Like like what you said, family. Yeah.
- 3:09So in the context of that family, in what Christ saying
- 3:13families is a weakness? It can be a weakness, yeah,
- 3:16absolutely. But if the whole family centre,
- 3:18you know Christ is the centre of it.
- 3:21Everybody has one mindset, 1 spirit.
- 3:23They're together in the. Strong.
- 3:24Yeah, absolutely. So in that case, it's not
- 3:28necessarily a weakness per SE. Everybody's strong, serving God.
- 3:35Yeah. Right.
- 3:36But truthfully, yeah, we use family inevitably turns out to
- 3:42be a weakness. It does, man.
- 3:45I can't believe we're talking about this.
- 3:46No, no, you know, actually, like, you know that verse in
- 3:50Genesis, right where it says husband and wife will leave
- 3:56mother and father and we'll be on their own right?
- 4:00You know, no, it makes it makes a lot of sense why, why they
- 4:06would leave mother and father. In the context of the the
- 4:09culture during that time, yeah, I'm not saying to stay with
- 4:12family, but you, you can also like the Jewish community and
- 4:20the Muslim community. They all join together as a
- 4:22family and work hard towards a goal, and that's what they're
- 4:26able to be successful. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 4:28Right in that regard. But I I firmly believe that what
- 4:33you're saying, based on what Scripture says it means that
- 4:39your decision making's no longer depend on what.
- 4:43Yes. A father and mother says you're
- 4:44not married, so you're independent now in regards to
- 4:47decision making, absolutely. So that's why it says, you know
- 4:51what does it say? Husband and wife?
- 4:53Yeah. Leave.
- 4:54Leave. Right.
- 4:54That's why the husband and wife leave mother and father.
- 4:57So they become one flesh. Yeah, absolutely.
- 5:01So it depends on the culture. I mean, you know where you're
- 5:08at, where you are. Some cultures, especially in the
- 5:13Latin American culture, there's a lot of families that are very
- 5:16family oriented. Yeah, yeah.
- 5:18I'm not so much family oriented. Like I don't have too much
- 5:21orientation to that. But you know, I do care about my
- 5:24family. If they need me, I'll be there.
- 5:28As long as it I'm like, it means something matters.
- 5:31Yeah. Yeah.
- 5:34But in some cultures, they firmly practice that, like the
- 5:38Jewish, Muslim, the culture they do practice that like, you know,
- 5:41husband and wife leaves your parent, like, you know, leave
- 5:44them in that regard, meaning you don't depend on them.
- 5:47Yeah. You don't depend on them.
- 5:48Yeah. But equally, the Jewish
- 5:51community, the Muslim community and other communities, they
- 5:54they, they join together sometimes for the greater good
- 5:57of, I guess, survival. We're talking about different
- 6:00Times Now here. Yeah, that also.
- 6:03That also could be an ambition factor.
- 6:06Yeah, that's true. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 6:08Let's join together. Yeah, To become rich, that could
- 6:12be a factor. Yeah, like an ambition factor,
- 6:14yeah. Or another factor could be like,
- 6:15you know what, let's join together and let's survive.
- 6:17Let's be OK, that's another factor.
- 6:21Or you can. I mean, just because you join
- 6:24doesn't mean you're still dependent on them.
- 6:25No, You guys are working together towards something.
- 6:28Yeah, yeah. But yes, scripture in that
- 6:30regard, based on that culture, that's the most sane and logical
- 6:35thing to do. Right, right.
- 6:37Absolutely, Absolutely. If you were to do it, that's
- 6:39fine. Yeah, now what?
- 6:42You know, I will say this like the the deeper you go with God,
- 6:48the more he reveals to you, the more you know, you know exactly
- 6:52what to do. You know how long the path, you
- 6:55know, like you will be challenged by it from, from
- 6:59family, hardcore, Yeah. You know, I'm sure things that
- 7:05you do, your family may not understand.
- 7:07No, definitely not man. I mean leaving a few like just
- 7:11letting go of like some careers and not accepting them and and
- 7:15just doing God's will for me. That's Pete's pro.
- 7:18Like I'm I'm the most happiest man.
- 7:21In my case, they're understanding because, you know,
- 7:25my parents are ministers. Yeah.
- 7:27And it's not necessarily that challenging at all.
- 7:30They don't even question her or anything like that.
- 7:35However, you know, there's some certain way of thinking, not
- 7:39that it's different, but sometimes where we stand in
- 7:45regards to the foundation of our faith.
- 7:47Yeah, that's the thing, Those those.
- 7:48Little things, but it's not major.
- 7:50Absolutely. Or at least I don't think
- 7:51they're major. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 7:54You know, The thing is this show, like I, I mean when, when
- 8:01scripture says like when David says, you know, I'll give my
- 8:05myself as a free will offering. Right.
- 8:07Yep, and here we go. And as a free will offering, you
- 8:12know, basically like he's, he's giving up his desires and what
- 8:20he doesn't desire, his choice A and choice B, he's he's legit
- 8:25giving up and giving his body to God for whatever he wills.
- 8:32Now as human beings, like I don't believe that we have free
- 8:39will. You know what I mean?
- 8:42Yeah, yeah. I don't believe we have free
- 8:44will. Because if it was true that we
- 8:46have free will, then man, we can will ourselves to anything.
- 8:50We are outside of two options. Right, right.
- 8:54But at the end of the day, we're either going to heaven or we're
- 8:56going to hell. There's no I'm going to escape
- 9:00from this. These two options right here.
- 9:03You know what, It's interesting how you say that there's no
- 9:05escaping from this. They're going to see God as like
- 9:08this, you know, bully. And some Christian would think
- 9:12that, oh, you guys think very sadistic and make God seem very
- 9:15sadistic. Oh, if you don't do my will,
- 9:17you're going to perish. Who?
- 9:20Whose universe do you live in? Yeah, right.
- 9:23Honestly, yeah, right. This is not to fear monger.
- 9:27No either it's not. And it's interesting that you
- 9:30brought up free will speaking about anger and frustrations and
- 9:36family and weaknesses towards the family.
- 9:41As a believer, if you once you get a a good understanding of
- 9:45what free will means, that also will pretty much depict your
- 9:52relationship with your family. Yes, yeah, absolutely right.
- 9:57Because you know, The thing is this, you know, you know,
- 10:01getting really close to God, you know, like I said, I've said,
- 10:05you know, a few seconds back I realized like, man, we don't
- 10:08have free will. We just have a choice A and
- 10:10choice B. Like like we just have like we
- 10:12can either choose God or or not. And just those two options
- 10:19themselves can cause one or the other, you know, and you're, you
- 10:23know, when I was in the world and everything, you know,
- 10:28there's a scripture and we're going to get to it where it
- 10:31talks about how like the youth, like the youth, like do whatever
- 10:35your heart desires, do everything you desire, right,
- 10:37right. And someone that hasn't had like
- 10:38an intimate relationship with God like that, then like they
- 10:43assume that like you can do whatever you want as long as you
- 10:48have got in the picture. But that's not how it.
- 10:50Works. These are some believers.
- 10:51Yeah, yeah. Like you can pursue your career,
- 10:54you can do this, you can do that.
- 10:56So that's a that's a hard topic. No, no, I'm.
- 10:59I'm not. Yeah.
- 11:00No, no, no, I'm disagreeing with you.
- 11:01No, no, Yeah, yeah. It's just don't touch that topic
- 11:05or else you're radical. You're too.
- 11:08You're too much. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 11:09No, no. No, impossible.
- 11:12You know what? Now that you brought that up,
- 11:15you know free will, right? It's a thought and is used in
- 11:20such a way you know to do whatever you want as an excuse
- 11:24without. Consequence, correct?
- 11:25Yeah. Non believers and believers
- 11:28think this way and the full, full expression without divine
- 11:33correction. That's how that's how they think
- 11:35it, right? Like it's it's like you can
- 11:38express yourself without any consequence.
- 11:41Yeah, exactly. That be you being a believer or
- 11:45that you being a non believer to a non believer.
- 11:49What do they care? I mean if they don't even
- 11:51believe this right to a believer to a certain extent they express
- 11:54themselves so much and they take the the the the cross ass like
- 11:58this. You know I'm not perfect got got
- 12:02you know we're good we're good yeah, yeah, it's not not really
- 12:07the case yeah, yeah, yeah. And also another thing because
- 12:12of that full expression. I believe in our language.
- 12:15We have a difficulty on understanding things because in
- 12:19our language, English, we we need context, right?
- 12:23And in other languages they have word, you know, words for each
- 12:26little thing for it to mean. Yeah, yeah, absolutely.
- 12:29Or sometimes one word will mean many things.
- 12:31Well, in this case, free will, you know, it's like it means
- 12:37what it means free will. Like you can will whatever you
- 12:42want. And yeah, have the freedom to do
- 12:43so. Correct.
- 12:44Yeah. And we genuinely don't, by
- 12:47definition, we, we can't, we can't really truly express that
- 12:52because we, we, we only have options Option A and option B.
- 12:59Those options that are in A could be option A1A2A3A4 all the
- 13:04all the way to 100 or option BB1B2B3.
- 13:08You know, yeah, yeah, you only have two options.
- 13:11And that inevitably will be filtered out.
- 13:13Exactly. Right, correct.
- 13:14So if, if, if you can't override those two options, tell me where
- 13:20do you have free will? Right, by definition what it
- 13:24actually means, but in the context of what were meant
- 13:31decision makers, the ability to make a choice in that we can say
- 13:36you have free will. In the context of just having
- 13:41option A&B like you can, you can choose, you have the freedom,
- 13:45right to choose point A or I mean option B.
- 13:50If you cannot override that, you then truly don't have full
- 13:54autonomy. Like you don't, you don't don't.
- 13:56You're not God. Exactly.
- 13:58Absolutely, 100%. So, so I just wanted to clarify
- 14:01that. Yeah.
- 14:02And, and interestingly, you brought up the youth thing.
- 14:06And as youth, right when we get frustrated, angry with family,
- 14:10we want to do whatever we want. Yeah.
- 14:12Correct. Yeah, that's correct.
- 14:14But also when we're following God, we want to do God's will
- 14:17and, and kind of ignore what the family's saying.
- 14:20So it it, it there's multiple scenarios, yeah.
- 14:22But in the case that you brought up, you know, Ecclesiastics 11
- 14:26verse Chapter 11, verse 9 to 10, it says you who are young, be
- 14:32happy while you are young and let your heart give you joy in
- 14:36the days of your youth. Follow the ways of your heart
- 14:38and whatever your eyes see, but know that for all the things God
- 14:44will bring you into judgement. So then banish anxiety from your
- 14:48heart and cast out troubles of your body, for your youth and
- 14:51vigor are meaningless. Wow, look at that.
- 14:56So at the end of the day, it's always going to end up in God's
- 14:59hands, no matter what. Yeah, so the reason why?
- 15:01Yeah, because that's why he says vanish anxiety.
- 15:03Because when we're young, bro, we're so anxious.
- 15:05We want to go everywhere. We want to do this, we want to
- 15:07do all that, right. And and we're talking about
- 15:09Solomon, who at the end, like he, he was kind of like I, I
- 15:13wouldn't say the press, but he was just disappointed with
- 15:14himself. Yeah, he was like that.
- 15:16He's like, he realized what was I doing?
- 15:19Yeah, absolutely. Absolutely.
- 15:20So you brought that up. It was interesting.
- 15:24And so David, in the Scriptures, basically what you said in
- 15:28Psalms, he's saying that he will, he says, you know, like I
- 15:32will make a sacrifice of free will as an offering to God,
- 15:35right. So in this context here, he's
- 15:38not, he's not saying that like obviously it doesn't say that
- 15:42he's God or he has autonomy. What he is saying is all his
- 15:46options that be A, that be B, he's giving that up.
- 15:50Yeah. So like, for example, think
- 15:51about option A being all your interested or what?
- 15:54All the things that you're interested, all your desires,
- 15:56goals, dreams and all that, think about all those things
- 15:59versus option B were like the things that you're not
- 16:01interested, the things that are not your desires, not your goal,
- 16:03none of those things. Yeah, right.
- 16:05Or, or it could be either or God could be option A Option B can
- 16:11be, I don't believe in this. It could be anything.
- 16:14David is giving up those two options, right?
- 16:17So he's basically giving up his ability to make choice.
- 16:19In other words, I'm going to just trust you.
- 16:21I'm going to just you guide me now.
- 16:23Yes, exactly. Like you.
- 16:24Yeah, 100%. And he presents that, yes, as a
- 16:28sacrifice. He's sacrificing his ability to
- 16:30make a choice. Yeah, as I'm offering,
- 16:32absolutely, absolutely. And when you brought that up, I
- 16:35was like, interesting, I don't know if you have the verse.
- 16:38You want to read it? I do, yeah.
- 16:40Psalms 54 it says God hear my prayer right.
- 16:43Listen to the words from my mouth.
- 16:45God is my helper, the Lord is the sustainer of my life.
- 16:49I will sacrifice a free will offering to you.
- 16:52I will praise your name Lord, because it is good, for He has
- 16:55rescued me from every trouble. My eye has looked down on my
- 16:59enemies. OK, so for those who may not
- 17:03know, in contacts, right, we kind of just took out some
- 17:06stuff. But the verse is about him
- 17:09asking God to destroy all the enemies because the enemies are
- 17:11after him, right? And so David recognizes his
- 17:16mercies and how God does come through.
- 17:18Yeah. So because of that recognition,
- 17:20what does he do? He's like, you know what?
- 17:23Wow. I you have control over
- 17:24everything. So I'm going to give up myself
- 17:29unto you, Lord, Get my free will, My option A and my option
- 17:32B. You know what I mean?
- 17:33Yeah. Yeah.
- 17:33You know, Absolutely. And this is quite honestly, this
- 17:40is not really a difficult like theological conversation.
- 17:44This shouldn't be like a mathematics session.
- 17:48Like to figure it out, Do we or we don't?
- 17:50No, no, no. Yeah, no, it's just my thing.
- 17:53My thing is, is this. It's like you either are going
- 17:59to end up in hell or heaven. You don't.
- 18:01You're not outside of those two options.
- 18:02So what free will do you really have at the end of the day?
- 18:05So, So what you're saying, like what you're saying is true
- 18:09because I do believe in God. God is real, right?
- 18:13But then others would be like, well, how do you know that?
- 18:17How do you know that to be true? Which is a different
- 18:19conversation, right? But for a believer, they're
- 18:23like, yeah, you know, but God loves us all that that is true.
- 18:28Yeah. He created Adam and Eve out of
- 18:31love. God is the only one with free
- 18:35will by definition. He's the only one by free will.
- 18:39He wields eternity. Yes, he's outside of time.
- 18:42Yeah. So he's the only one who can
- 18:44express truly what free at free will actually means.
- 18:48He has full autonomy. Yes.
- 18:50What does that mean? That means that he can determine
- 18:54he knows every consequence, positive or negative.
- 18:56Yeah, predetermines. Yes, he does.
- 19:00There's a predestination. He knows both paths and he knows
- 19:05that we are in the framework. Yes, absolutely.
- 19:09We're not outside of the framework.
- 19:10No, it's true. Absolutely.
- 19:11So you're going to tell me that he's a sadistic God.
- 19:14Oh, well, you know, he did this to prove a point.
- 19:17He's love. He wants to create, created Adam
- 19:20and Eve and all other creations were created by God, his word,
- 19:24by his word, by his free will. He has full autonomy because of
- 19:29love. Absolutely.
- 19:31You know, and there's one thing that you were actually, quite
- 19:36honestly, you, you actually made me realize it.
- 19:42But when you said I was like, wow, I just clicked on my head.
- 19:46How this body that we're in, God created Adam and Eve.
- 19:51God was creating Adam and Eve with his free will.
- 19:54Yes, Yeah, absolutely. No.
- 19:57Yeah, This body that we have that he created, he created.
- 20:03Is out of his own free will. So that verse when David says I
- 20:08give my free will offering on to you right, and then we look at
- 20:11Romans where Paul talks about that this body is living
- 20:16sacrifice. I will you know, this is true
- 20:19worship that this body, you know, you give it to God, you
- 20:22know, as true worship. I'm just like yo had that then
- 20:26that verse in in psalms makes so much sense when David says I'll
- 20:29give my free will offering that he gave all himself up to God.
- 20:33That he surrendered. He surrendered fully.
- 20:35Fully everything, all you know. So I'm just like, this body was
- 20:40created out of God's free will, his own free will.
- 20:43Interesting. See, when you said that to me
- 20:45when we're reading and then you said that to me, No, you
- 20:49actually, you I don't know if you realized it in real time.
- 20:53I don't know if you were realizing it in real time.
- 20:55Oh, yeah. As you were saying.
- 20:56Yeah. It was because when you were
- 20:57saying I was like, we. I was like, what?
- 20:59Yeah, I was. I was not that I was confused.
- 21:01I was just like, that's so true. Yeah.
- 21:04And so to what Brian is saying, to clarify what what Brian is
- 21:07saying that this body that we have, Adam and Eve and all the
- 21:10descent is up until this moment, this was created out of his own
- 21:13free will. Yes.
- 21:14So. When, when, when you think that,
- 21:16oh, God gave us, God gave us free will.
- 21:18Yes, we have a reflection of that, which is to make
- 21:22decisions. Yep.
- 21:24Right. If we were created in his image
- 21:27and likeness and in his glory, of course we're going to have a
- 21:32reflection of that. Yeah.
- 21:34In regards to making decisions. And so when you, when you had
- 21:39told me that, then I remembered what I told you.
- 21:43Paul says this to presents ourselves, our bodies to be
- 21:48presented as a living for the sacrifice and that this is our
- 21:50worship. I I have the verse.
- 21:53I don't know if you want me to read it, It's Romans 1212.
- 21:57Yeah, sure. Yeah, yeah.
- 21:58Therefore, brothers and sisters, in view of the mercies of God, I
- 22:02urge you to present, present your bodies as a living
- 22:07sacrifice, yes, holy and pleasing to God.
- 22:12This is your true worship. That's worship right there.
- 22:15Yeah, just surrendering. Exactly.
- 22:17Just giving up your your your choices.
- 22:19Your choices right there and then yeah, look at that just.
- 22:21Right there is worship right, yes, if a believer ever doubts
- 22:25if they a believer ever wonders like I don't I don't want I
- 22:29don't know if I had worshipping or kind of I was like well, I
- 22:32literally tested like this. I was like well, do you live for
- 22:34God? No dude, I do do this and that
- 22:37giving up everything. You're worshipping him already.
- 22:39Yes, you're living exactly 100. Percent.
- 22:41So to confinish it, it says, do not be conformed to the
- 22:43following. Do not be conformed to this age,
- 22:46but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that
- 22:49you may discern what is good, pleasing and perfect will of
- 22:54God. Yes, Amen.
- 22:56Absolutely, absolutely. So true worship is also
- 23:05recognizing that you are not your own, but like surrendering
- 23:07your ability to make a choice and fully trusting in God.
- 23:11Exactly. So your body at the end, like
- 23:15it's true man, your body at the end, whether you you do not
- 23:19choose God or you choose God, it's always going to go back to
- 23:24God. Either you're going to be a
- 23:28child of wrath or a child of righteousness.
- 23:31Exactly. So this body, at the end of the
- 23:34day, is technically not your own.
- 23:36No. Now I do have First Corinthians
- 23:39here, right? It says this right here, First
- 23:44Corinthians 618 to 20. It says flee sexual immorality.
- 23:49Every other sin a person commits is outside of the body, but the
- 23:53person who is sexually immoral sins against his own body.
- 23:58Don't you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who
- 24:02is in you, whom you have from a God.
- 24:06You are not your own, for you were bought a price.
- 24:08So glorify God with your body. So right here we see you were
- 24:13bought at a price. Your body is not your own.
- 24:17You the moment you say like yes to God, like you know you give
- 24:21your life to God like this body was by depressing you, you
- 24:25surrender to God. Those chackles of sin are broken
- 24:28and you follow God. So his body is not your own.
- 24:32You have given up the ability to to like I guess you could say
- 24:35like you give up option A and option B.
- 24:39You basically say God you choose for me, His body is not your
- 24:43own. Exactly.
- 24:44And others will will say, well, I mean well, if he knows
- 24:48everything well, didn't he own us in the beginning?
- 24:50Why did he have to die? And all that now that's that's a
- 24:55good point that you you brought up because look what Ephesians
- 24:57213 says right here, right interesting.
- 25:00It says and you were dead in your trespasses.
- 25:03So you were dead and since in which you previously walked.
- 25:07Oh, OK, according to the ways of this world, according to the
- 25:10ruler of the power of the year, the Spirit now working in the
- 25:14disobedience, we to all previously lived among them in
- 25:21our fleshly desires, carrying out the inclination of our flesh
- 25:27and thoughts, and we were by nature children under wrath, as
- 25:32the others were also. What do you think about that
- 25:35man? So the byproduct of what Adam
- 25:45and Eve did set us up for. Failure, right?
- 25:51They set us up. Absolutely.
- 25:52Yeah. Because when God created Adam
- 25:56and Eve, or Vim created Adam and Eve, when he placed the tree,
- 26:06when he created everything, and when he just gave the order from
- 26:10everything you can eat but of this tree you cannot.
- 26:12At that very moment He establishes unto them the
- 26:16ability to make a choice. Right, exactly.
- 26:18Automatically. And it's not free will, guys.
- 26:21It's not free will. What did he say?
- 26:22You can eve all these trees, yes, but of this one you cannot.
- 26:25You cannot, so there's only an option once.
- 26:27Again. Yeah, right.
- 26:29Yes. At that moment he establishes
- 26:30that with them. So they know now that order.
- 26:35The moment Eve decides to let her eyes she busted on the
- 26:41fruit, right. Look what it says here.
- 26:44This what was interesting according to the ruler of the
- 26:47Principle, the Spirit now working in disobedience.
- 26:52When she ate the fruit, the flesh awoken and felt naked, and
- 26:58now the Spirit was also on contrary with the flesh.
- 27:03Absolutely. So for them, at that moment,
- 27:06what we were experiencing, they didn't necessarily experience
- 27:09it. It was just but the beginning,
- 27:11right? It was until after Cain, Abel
- 27:14and the descendants that the spirit was now being a part of
- 27:17the disobedient, 'cause it was dead.
- 27:18What was it, What could it do? Look what it says, right?
- 27:22So we too all lived among in our flesh, the desire carrying out
- 27:26the inclinations of our flesh and thoughts, and we are by
- 27:28nature children of wrath. Right.
- 27:30So now if we are children of wrath, what does God, what does
- 27:34God have to do? If Christ says if they don't
- 27:37believe in me, they're condemned already, What do you think he
- 27:40has to do? What does he?
- 27:41Got to do. Oh, he has to execute his.
- 27:42Back he has to dispose of it. Yeah, absolutely.
- 27:46If it's not his, why should he keep it around?
- 27:51Exactly. You know what I mean.
- 27:52He becomes useless, right? Like, yeah.
- 27:54So when he said you've been bought a price that means you
- 27:56are your own, that's not he's not going to dispose of you.
- 28:00You're not part of something greater.
- 28:01Exactly. You were bought at a price
- 28:04Exactly. So yeah, absolutely.
- 28:06And so that people understand God's sovereignty, right, and
- 28:11what we're saying, right? Because he's the one who has
- 28:15true free will. Yeah.
- 28:16Right. Absolutely.
- 28:18You did put here Romans 9/14/24 and it says you will say to me,
- 28:24therefore this is Paul writing to to the Romans.
- 28:27Why then why? Why then, does he still find
- 28:31fault for who resists his will? Right.
- 28:35On the contrary, who are you, a human being, to talk back to
- 28:39God? Will what is formed say to the
- 28:43one who formed it? Why did you make me like this?
- 28:46Or has the Potter not right over the clay to make from the same
- 28:51lump of peace of of pottery for honor, and others for dishonor?
- 28:56And what if God, wanting to display his wrath and to make
- 29:00his power known, endured with such patience objects of wrath,
- 29:05prepared for destruction? And what if he did this to make
- 29:10known his riches of his glory and object of mercy that he
- 29:14prepared beforehand for glory? So he's he's he's he's depicting
- 29:192 objects here. Right.
- 29:23With much patient objects of wrath.
- 29:26So there's an object there. Prepare for destruction.
- 29:28And here's another object, Object of Mercy.
- 29:32Yeah, Mercy, are you? Prepared beforehand for glory.
- 29:36We do not have control. No, we don't.
- 29:38We do not, OK. No.
- 29:40What we can decide in that regard we have the control, but
- 29:44outside of that we don't. Yeah, we don't.
- 29:47Absolutely. And even if we were to put set
- 29:49this aside, there's atheist agnostics that agree that free
- 29:54will is not seen in nature. It's not seen right.
- 29:59And if in fact evolution were true, then truly then creation
- 30:02has its own autonomy because it can.
- 30:04Evolve, right? Exactly.
- 30:05It can determine, it somehow knows that it will evolve from
- 30:09this challenge. Absolutely right.
- 30:11And you know what? That's why I think a lot of
- 30:12atheists, they come to the conclusion like, oh, we're in
- 30:15some simulation because they realize they're like, we're like
- 30:20in some bubble. Well, I mean, if you were to
- 30:22think about it that way, it can feel that way because I mean,
- 30:25can we exceed outside of these two paths?
- 30:28No, no we can't. So yeah, in, in in that way you
- 30:31can you can see that all of this was created.
- 30:35Yeah, right. Absolutely.
- 30:36So we only have choices. And so this verse basically Paul
- 30:43depicts the sovereignty of God. Yeah, in every way, right.
- 30:47How we be informed that of clay are questioning the Potter
- 30:51molded the clay. Yeah, Yeah, right.
- 30:53Exactly. So so God hardens and softens
- 30:55the heart while at the same time he he respects our so-called
- 31:01free will. He respects it.
- 31:03Yeah. But he can harden and soften it.
- 31:05Absolutely. That be directly or indirectly.
- 31:07Absolutely. And those moments of direct or
- 31:10indirect, we don't even notice them, right, Because he's
- 31:13respecting also. Yeah.
- 31:15Remember, he's not going to force you to serve.
- 31:17Him exactly. Right.
- 31:18So either way, there are two ends.
- 31:20And since we do not have any autonomy in overcoming this
- 31:25reality that we're subjected to, therefore we're subjected to
- 31:30option A&B. Yes, it.
- 31:31Yeah, absolutely. Absolutely.
- 31:34So it really comes down to man trusting and fearing in the.
- 31:36Lord yeah man, you got to trust in the one that that can destroy
- 31:41the body and the soul. Yes, Matthew 1028 says don't
- 31:45fear those who kill the body but are not able to kill the soul,
- 31:49rather fear him who is able to destroy both soul and body in
- 31:55hell. Exactly.
- 31:56So what option do you think we have?
- 31:58Right, we only have. That's it.
- 32:00We only have an option of choosing God or not.
- 32:02That is our clothing. Yes.
- 32:04It's his righteousness, trusting in Him, fearing in him.
- 32:07Yes, that's our white robe. Like it talks about in
- 32:09Revelation how it says, you know, wash your room, right?
- 32:12Those that wash the robes daily, they will have the right to tree
- 32:15of life. And, and like our brother Wilmer
- 32:18said, he said truthfully being a slave to.
- 32:22Righteousness, Absolutely. And you want to know something
- 32:25too? God gives us the strength to
- 32:31make a choice. He gives us the strength to say
- 32:35no to temptation. He gives us the strength to say
- 32:37no to whatever will deviate us from His will.
- 32:40Yeah, He gives us the strength to make those.
- 32:42Choices. Exactly.
- 32:44That was perfectly set. So there's no excuse.
- 32:47That's why Paul says, Ah, thanks be through Christ in one hand I
- 32:50can serve, you know, the law of of the flesh or sin and in the
- 32:55law of God in the other hand, Yep.
- 32:56So he understood. He's like, thanks be through
- 32:58Christ, I can do all things. Exactly.
- 33:01And so, I mean, I know it's difficult.
- 33:04I mean, I want to say difficult. It can be challenging for
- 33:09believers, you know, and to be honest, like social media
- 33:11doesn't help. No, it it really does not help
- 33:14and it's kind of sad dude. Honestly, if you're a believer
- 33:17and you don't like this, that's kind of sad because me being a
- 33:23child of God, I feel like word he's he's in control, right,
- 33:27right. That's my king, like I'm that's
- 33:29the one that I'm serving right, right.
- 33:31That he literally has full autonomy, like he has like of
- 33:34control of anything he can say that is eternal and that is not
- 33:37eternal. He has the ability to do
- 33:39anything and everything, of course, and.
- 33:42I, I I've told you this before, and I'll say it quickly.
- 33:46God's sovereignty is outside of the framework, as we've already
- 33:49mentioned, and I wanted to use my father as an example back in
- 33:53199798. I've told it to you before.
- 33:56Yeah. The Hurricane Ridge happened in
- 33:57Central America, Honduras, and he saw that as an opportunity.
- 34:01Like, you know what? There's an opportunity for me to
- 34:03leave, right? And they weren't leaving just to
- 34:05like, be ambitious. They wanted to go work for the
- 34:08Lord over there, right, right, right.
- 34:10He had some stuff already, same place, house and everything.
- 34:12We were literally leaving, bro. And that's what he had in his
- 34:17mind. He wanted to go out on the
- 34:19streets and preach over there. You see, that's such a.
- 34:24It's a good plan, right? Dude any believer would be like
- 34:26what? Awesome.
- 34:27It'd be like anybody would be like, you know, I want to do
- 34:28this career and through there I'm going to preach the word or
- 34:32that'd be through music or that'd be through acting.
- 34:35That'd be through sports. Like you, you're like, I want to
- 34:37go through and, and I'm doing gospel because I'm going to, I'm
- 34:40going to share the gospel and all of that, right?
- 34:42Yeah, yeah, yeah. But.
- 34:44That doesn't seem to be the case all the time.
- 34:46Even though it's a good thing, it doesn't mean guys look it.
- 34:50It's not my plan though. Right, right.
- 34:52You see, and that's when David's saying I will give this free
- 34:56will as a as an offering. Like bro, even if you desire it
- 34:59or not, I'm giving it up. It's you, God, it's just
- 35:01whatever you want. So yeah, I bring that example up
- 35:05because after there was some severance divine intervention,
- 35:10right? Some sisters at at church that
- 35:14the, you know, the Spirit of the Lord came and said, No 3 * 3
- 35:17different people with not knowing what, what's going on,
- 35:21right? And then he was like was told,
- 35:25Oh no, I need you to go to New Jersey.
- 35:27That's where I need you to pastor.
- 35:30Spread my word. There you go.
- 35:33That's not what he wanted. Right, he did not want that.
- 35:36And and and mind you, I've been told that my mum married and
- 35:40asked God. I want to marry someone who's
- 35:41not a pastor. And guess what happened?
- 35:45The irony of that. Hey, listen, listen, when you
- 35:48truly gave, you know your life to God.
- 35:51I'm sorry man. So so when he was confronted
- 35:54that he went to my mom, his wife, and uh huh, he was like,
- 36:00you know, you know this and this is happening and my mom's like,
- 36:05OK, let's do it. Scott's will and let's go.
- 36:10Exactly. And she's been supportive ever
- 36:12since. Yeah, yeah, absolutely.
- 36:14Like I can't, I can't say she hasn't, right, Although they're
- 36:17my parents and sometimes, you know, it happens, bro.
- 36:21But but that tenacity that they have, insane.
- 36:24But right. What I'm trying to do big to you
- 36:27is he could have said no to that calling, right?
- 36:31He could have continued what he had in plan.
- 36:34But why do you think he hesitated?
- 36:38Your dad, why? He hesitated.
- 36:39Yeah. Like to what to like?
- 36:42To to that intervention that the Spirit of the Lord did.
- 36:46You know, I could be wrong, but I feel like, you know, he, he
- 36:49probably hesitated because he's like, what?
- 36:51But this what I'm doing is this not like something great God
- 36:54like when I'm I'm trying to go help out poor people and do this
- 36:57and still be like trying to be aligned with you.
- 37:00Always one would say, yes, it's God's will.
- 37:04But it seems like in the other hand, it's like God was like,
- 37:10Nah, I want you to do this instead.
- 37:11Yeah, this is this is what I truly want.
- 37:14And why he hesitated to move forward to Central America is
- 37:17because he fears and he trusts the Lord.
- 37:21Yeah, just like I'm sure like any other woman, right?
- 37:25I mean, sister in Christ or brother in Christ, Right.
- 37:28And we've lost that taste, right?
- 37:30We've lost that seasoning. I don't just in that kind of
- 37:33way. Right.
- 37:33So you're basically saying like, like we've gotten to this point
- 37:37where, like, it looks right, It seems right, so let's go along
- 37:41with it. Yeah, Without even consulting
- 37:43with God. Yeah, Yeah, there is a sense of
- 37:44consulting. Remember we were speaking about
- 37:46it like last night where like a believer is growing with God,
- 37:50mature, like they have left the elementary stuff.
- 37:53Yeah, and they're grown. Yeah, like Hebrews says. 6,
- 37:55right? Yeah, it says that.
- 37:57Let's leave the elementary teachings.
- 37:59Yeah, OK, which meaning like OK, this is it's time to the solid
- 38:02food, right, right. Let's grow.
- 38:04So yeah, yeah, you're going to be grown with God.
- 38:07So when did like options start coming to you should be able to
- 38:10discern quickly. Absolutely.
- 38:11Yeah, if you go consult that's fine.
- 38:14But I mean already at a level where you should be able to
- 38:17determine right then and then no, this is not God's, this is
- 38:20not, this is not from God, right, right.
- 38:22Absolutely. But if it's something way
- 38:24heavier where it's it's exceeding more than your
- 38:27maturity, then assault before anything.
- 38:30I agree. Yeah, absolutely.
- 38:31So he prayed and he believed, right?
- 38:37That's an example. Yeah.
- 38:38And you have examples in your life.
- 38:40You've spoken about them in the past podcast.
- 38:42Right, Right. Right.
- 38:43And we have Isaiah, you know, a guy who was told, I'm not saying
- 38:47it says this year in diverse, but I mean, he was told to
- 38:51preach for several years, you know, bare without clothes.
- 38:56Yeah, like naked. Naked, yeah.
- 38:58Amongst the streets of Jerusalem, Yeah.
- 39:01Just keep in mind there. Yeah, that's crazy.
- 39:04So you there's a verse here and and these are just couple verses
- 39:07that we jotted down that you can pretty much seek out
- 39:10sovereignty. Yeah, this, this right here just
- 39:12shows us more like, yo God, God has free will.
- 39:15He's the only one that has free will.
- 39:17Like there's one here, like Jeremiah said, I choose you
- 39:20before you were formed in the womb, right?
- 39:22I set you apart before you were born.
- 39:24I appointed you a prophet to the nation.
- 39:26I appointed you, yeah. When someone speaks that way,
- 39:29he's not speaking in time. Right.
- 39:33He's speaking outside of this. Speaking way, completely outside
- 39:36of this. Right?
- 39:36Absolutely. Right.
- 39:37Absolutely. Isaiah says Isaiah 46910 says
- 39:41remember what happened was I am the God, there is no other.
- 39:44I am God. No one is like me.
- 39:45I declare the end and the beginning.
- 39:48Who what? What does he do?
- 39:50He says I declare the end from the beginning.
- 39:54Right, my plan will take place and I will do all my will.
- 39:58Exactly. What?
- 39:59You know what I mean? I will do all my will your.
- 40:02Here's another one, Psalms 13916.
- 40:04Your eyes saw me when I was formless.
- 40:06All the days were written in your book and planned before a
- 40:09single one of them began. So like you're looking at,
- 40:14you're basically looking at this is a couple verses, right,
- 40:17right, right. I mean, there's so many, there's
- 40:18so many. And it's funny how, like, we
- 40:21started the podcast truthfully for the audience, whoever is
- 40:26listening, there was a real frustration from my part and so
- 40:30many things that were going out today.
- 40:31And you have been for you, right?
- 40:33It's so funny that it was happening simultaneously.
- 40:36Yeah, right. And it's this is where I can say
- 40:40it was like, it was where like the enemy was setting us up.
- 40:44And then the flesh also wanted to take part and say, no, you
- 40:47know what? We're not going to do this.
- 40:48Yeah. And no, this is, this is, this
- 40:52is something important, yeah, to know.
- 40:54And, and there there is no, there's no way to go deeper than
- 40:59this, right? Then free will.
- 41:00I mean like, honestly, right? I think it's yeah, yeah, it's
- 41:04pretty simple, right? Like pretty self-explanatory,
- 41:07like it's just you either have an option A or an option B.
- 41:09Like at the end of the day, either heaven or hell, you're
- 41:14not out exempt from those two options.
- 41:17Yeah, and there's a verse I want to read this here now that we've
- 41:22mentioned, like all these verses that talk about His sovereignty.
- 41:25Hebrews 6/13/20 chapter 6, verse 13 to 20 says for when God made
- 41:30a promise to Abraham, since he had no greater to swear by, he
- 41:34swore by himself. OK, I will indeed bless you, and
- 41:38I will greatly multiply. And so after waiting patiently,
- 41:42Abraham obtained the promise. For people swear by something
- 41:48greater than themselves, and for them confirming oath ends in
- 41:51every dispute. His unchangeable purpose even
- 41:53more clearly to the heirs of the promise, He guaranteed it with
- 41:57an oath. So that through two unchangeable
- 42:00things in which it is impossible for God to lie, he who have fled
- 42:05to refuge might have strong encouragement to seize the hope
- 42:08set before us. We have this hope as an anchor
- 42:11for the soul. Firm and secure, it enters the
- 42:16inner sanctuary behind the current.
- 42:18Jesus has entered there on our behalf as a forerunner, because
- 42:22he has become the high priest forever.
- 42:25We can leave it there. Now you this is this is
- 42:30interesting here because you can see.
- 42:35That God makes a promise to Abraham, Yes.
- 42:37He does. He does a.
- 42:40Promise. Hear me out.
- 42:42A promise that he doesn't even get to see.
- 42:45No, we're the ones living it. And we're the ones.
- 42:47Seeing it, yeah. And living it.
- 42:48Absolutely right. So if he.
- 42:51Made a promise. That is unchangeable.
- 42:57And knew. That this was going to happen.
- 42:59And Abraham didn't even get to see, and you and I get to see
- 43:02it. What does that tell you about
- 43:03God? Once again, what does it tell
- 43:06you that whatever God. Says he will.
- 43:08Never say it in vain. It's going to happen.
- 43:10It's going to happen. No, it's going to happen no
- 43:12matter what. And.
- 43:14Another thing that I thought was bro that blew my mind from this
- 43:17verse. Whereas when God is look, it
- 43:20says in 13, for when God made a promise to Abraham, since he had
- 43:24no one greater to swear by, he swore by himself because there
- 43:30is no one greater than God. Now, if you, if you keep
- 43:34reading, it says, you know, there's other people, you know,
- 43:36we as humans, we swear by something greater than always.
- 43:39We're gonna be like I, I swear. On my Yeah, I'm like you.
- 43:43I swear I saw that on. This and that, yeah, because
- 43:45there's always gonna be someone greater than to like to declare
- 43:48a dispute or end of. Dispute.
- 43:50Yeah, yes. But it seems like, no, it
- 43:52doesn't seem it says. God, or on Himself, on himself,
- 43:56because there's no one greater. There's no one greater than him.
- 43:59He is all. That he is, yeah.
- 44:00That is. That is a great point you did.
- 44:02Mention that. That's interesting.
- 44:04That is amazing. So that already should tell you
- 44:08a being. If you want to consider it.
- 44:10Someone who says I am right? Who was there?
- 44:14Before. The beginning before the end.
- 44:17Absolutely. He's swearing on himself because
- 44:19there's no one greater than him. Yeah, absolutely.
- 44:22Absolutely. There.
- 44:25So we're so we're expressing the sovereignty of God, but equally
- 44:30we can also show you some scriptural verses of the human
- 44:34experience, right? Like when we go on what what we?
- 44:37Do by just, you know, doing. What we want and the decisions
- 44:40that we're given, right? Absolutely.
- 44:42There's just a couple like John 316 says that further.
- 44:45So God loved the world this way. He gave the one and only Son so
- 44:48that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have
- 44:52eternal life. Right.
- 44:53It's not all here, but if you keep reading it, whoever doesn't
- 44:55believe it's condemned already. Absolutely.
- 44:57So you see this conditional thing?
- 44:58Yeah. Absolutely.
- 44:59Absolutely. What is?
- 45:01Established. What is established?
- 45:03We see it right there. We have First Timothy 24.
- 45:06This is good and police has got our Savior who wants everyone to
- 45:11be saved and to come to the knowledge.
- 45:13So he wants right? Many are cold, but few are
- 45:16chosen OK. Absolutely. 2 Peter 39 says the
- 45:19Lord does not. Delay His promise, as some
- 45:22understand. Delay, but He but is patient
- 45:26with you, not wanting any to perish, but all to come to
- 45:30repentance. Amen.
- 45:31Why does He speak that way? Because many are cold but few or
- 45:36chosen and. We can go on.
- 45:38There's so many, right? Right.
- 45:39There's. So many let's how about this one
- 45:42second Timothy 19 He has saved us and called us a holy calling,
- 45:46not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and
- 45:48grace which has given to us as Christ Jesus.
- 45:51Time began before time began, right, Right.
- 45:55So in the end, there are two paths.
- 45:57That's it. There are two paths.
- 46:00Either you're going to be a child of wrath or a child of
- 46:02righteousness. They're going to go to heaven
- 46:05and don't and don't get this twisted like.
- 46:07Fallen angels are are in it. Absolutely.
- 46:10Yeah. Yeah, they totally are.
- 46:11In it, demons are involved. Yep, they're.
- 46:14Also going to witness his wrath. Yep, absolutely.
- 46:20So the the take away on this is if you're.
- 46:25A believer moving. On forward, onward, however you
- 46:29want to see it, the deeper you want to go.
- 46:34If your desire is to go deeper, don't align it to your
- 46:38ambitions. And when I mean by.
- 46:41Aligning it to your ambitions. Don't let your ambition dictate
- 46:45what you want to do for God. Amen you.
- 46:49Couldn't have said it anywhere. Anyway, better absolutely don't
- 46:52let your ambitions dictate what you want to do for God.
- 46:54No, surrender that and, and and. Let God present to you what He
- 46:59wants you to do for His Kingdom. That's why he says to you know,
- 47:03do not, do not conform to this age and be transformed by the
- 47:07renewing of mind. So you may know the perfect will
- 47:10of God, so there is a knowing of His.
- 47:13Perfect. Will there's a knowing it.
- 47:15And so the take away here is the deeper you go, understand that
- 47:20you have to make the the hardest choice, and that is to to fully
- 47:25surrender. And I can, I can confidently say
- 47:28this, all the believers around the world, there's there is
- 47:30believers out there who really give up everything, everything,
- 47:37Amen. But there's also a majority of
- 47:39believers who they think they've surrendered, but they've allowed
- 47:44their ambitions to dictate what they want to do for God, Amen.
- 47:48Right. It's true.
- 47:49And. And.
- 47:51The take away is understand what free will means to you versus
- 47:55what it means for God. And that's pretty much it for
- 47:59for for this first episode, absolutely for those.
- 48:04That are listening subscribe and please share we're going to be
- 48:08recording now yeah absolutely we're going to we're.
- 48:12On schedule now, yes. So if anybody wants to comment
- 48:17or share anything or any insight, go for it.
- 48:20Yeah, we greatly appreciate share with other believers or
- 48:24non believers. We you know, we're not here
- 48:28because we want to do this the honestly.
- 48:30And one might think, well, aren't they doing the podcast?
- 48:34Everybody's doing one. I have absolutely no desire to
- 48:37be doing this. No, I I got to be honest.
- 48:38Me neither, but. Even even today, like, you know,
- 48:43it's funny how we're going through the same thing
- 48:44simultaneously. I was like ah bro, I don't.
- 48:47I don't think it's. Look inside.
- 48:49I was like, I don't think it's a good idea to record, but then at
- 48:53the end of the day, that could just be my flesh.
- 48:55He's like I said, like you said, and then he could be.
- 48:57Setting us up and we're also letting the fleshes, you know,
- 49:04be like, you know what? We're not.
- 49:05We don't want to do it. Right, like this is annoying.
- 49:08Exactly. But we've been putting it on for
- 49:12too long, like, you know, just delaying it and we're back and
- 49:15that's pretty much it, you know? So thank you, guys.
- 49:22We're going to close it up with a prayer.
- 49:24And do you want to say anything else?
- 49:27Do you have anything that anybody should be looking
- 49:30forward to? No, I'd just be looking.
- 49:33I'm just looking. Forward to whatever's going to
- 49:35happen last season that we did I thought it was great absolutely
- 49:41we had what like 3 people baptized yes yes you know they.
- 49:45Were like telling us. Well, glory to God, this is this
- 49:49has nothing to do with us because like you said, if you're
- 49:51up to us, I would not be doing this right, Right.
- 49:53But I'm literally doing this because I know that this is
- 49:56God's will. And I don't know what this is
- 49:58going to amount to. I don't know how many people are
- 50:00going to listen, but I'm not here to like try to become
- 50:03famous or anything. No, it's just you never know
- 50:06who's going to run into this. Exactly.
- 50:08So even if it's just a few souls, I'm totally cool with
- 50:10that. Hey man, but just keep
- 50:13listening. We're going to keep posting.
- 50:16We're back on schedule like you said and and stay strong.
- 50:21For those I really. Really want to go deep with God,
- 50:23Stay strong, Yeah, I and, and just keep your eyes on God, man.
- 50:27Yeah, keep your eyes on the Kingdom of Heaven.
- 50:29Yes. All right.
- 50:31We'll pray it off. Thank you, Father, for this
- 50:34opportunity. Great opportunity, amazing
- 50:36opportunity. And as we share what you reveal
- 50:39to us, although perhaps it has been spoken about everywhere,
- 50:44but you revealed it to us in a much deeper way and what it
- 50:48really means in regards to your Servant David and your Servant
- 50:53Jeremiah, Isaiah, and all these cloud of witnesses that we have
- 50:58letting us know that that that it is possible.
- 51:01And we thank you once again for your spirit being here and, and
- 51:05bringing peace and clarity as as it were in the beginning.
- 51:08It wasn't such. It wasn't some SO.
- 51:12Much of an instinct, but. Then it became natural once
- 51:15again to be doing your will, your perfect will.
- 51:19We hope that you keep blessing those who are listening and
- 51:22those who are not listening. Bless our brothers and sisters,
- 51:24Protect them. Guide them to the absolute
- 51:27truth, always to the sound doctrine.
- 51:29And until the next time, guys.
