Latest / DISGRACELAND / Sean “Diddy” Combs (Pt. 2): The Explicit Story Behind the Indictments
Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: This episode contains content that may be disturbing to some listeners.
- 0:03Speaker 1: Please check the show notes for more information. Disgraceland is
- 0:08Speaker 1: a production of Double Elvis. On September sixteenth, twenty twenty four,
- 0:13Speaker 1: federal authorities charged Sean Diddy Combs with sex trafficking, racketeering, conspiracy,
- 0:19Speaker 1: and transportation to engage in prostitution. Colmbs pleaded not guilty
- 0:24Speaker 1: to all these charges and is currently at the time
- 0:27Speaker 1: of this recording behind Barr's awaiting trial. These federal charges
- 0:32Speaker 1: were preceded by a lawsuit brought against Combs in November
- 0:34Speaker 1: of twenty twenty three by his former girlfriend, Cassie Ventura.
- 0:39Speaker 1: The Ventura lawsuit alleged sexual assault and physical abuse charges
- 0:43Speaker 1: as well. Combs settled this lawsuit within days, setting off
- 0:48Speaker 1: a wave of similar lawsuits from different victims, male and female,
- 0:52Speaker 1: alleging abuse. Colmbs denies all of these allegations. The horrific
- 0:57Speaker 1: details in this episode are not imagined or manufactured by
- 1:01Speaker 1: the author. They are ripped directly from the pages of
- 1:04Speaker 1: the federal indictment, as well as from the original Ventura indictment. Again,
- 1:09Speaker 1: all charges denied by Shawn Combs. The federal allegations will
- 1:14Speaker 1: be litigated in court sometime in twenty twenty five. Until then,
- 1:19Speaker 1: this is the story of Shawn Combs, according to some
- 1:22Speaker 1: of his alleged victims and biographers Melochron, this is a
- 1:39Speaker 1: story about disgrace, the ultimate disgrace, about a gangster born
- 1:44Speaker 1: from another gangster, About a murder, a stampede, an incredible
- 1:49Speaker 1: rise to success and power, about indictments and abuse and control.
- 1:56Speaker 1: This is a story about Sean Diddy Combs, and depending
- 2:01Speaker 1: on who you believe, either his girlfriend or his victim,
- 2:05Speaker 1: Cassie Ventura. It's also a story about music, or about
- 2:11Speaker 1: a music mogul, a music mogul who made a lot
- 2:15Speaker 1: of money off of some great music. Unlike that music
- 2:19Speaker 1: I played for you at the top of the show.
- 2:21Speaker 1: That wasn't great music. That was a preset loop for
- 2:24Speaker 1: my melotron called do the Astro Slide MK one. I
- 2:30Speaker 1: played you that loop because I can't afford the rights
- 2:33Speaker 1: to Cruel Summer by Taylor Swift. And why would I
- 2:37Speaker 1: play you that specific slice of basic af cheese? Could
- 2:40Speaker 1: I afford it? Because that was the number one song
- 2:44Speaker 1: in America on November twenty third, twenty twenty three, and
- 2:48Speaker 1: that was the day, Cassie Ventura filed a lawsuit against
- 2:51Speaker 1: Sean Diddy Combs, alleging rape and abuse and setting off
- 2:55Speaker 1: a legal nightmare for the hip hop mogul. On this episode, Gangsters, Murder, Indictments,
- 3:03Speaker 1: abuse control. In the Ultimate Disgrace, Sean Diddy Combs, I'm
- 3:10Speaker 1: Jake Brennan in this this Disgraceland. You're born in Harlem
- 3:42Speaker 1: in nineteen sixty nine. You don't know him, but the
- 3:46Speaker 1: world is on fire. In the ghetto where you live
- 3:50Speaker 1: is on America's pay No Mind list. Your father he
- 3:54Speaker 1: takes work as a driver for the notorious gangster Frank Lucas. Yes,
- 4:00Speaker 1: that Frank Lucas, the one Denzel Washington would later portray
- 4:04Speaker 1: an American gangster for a minute there. So the story goes,
- 4:09Speaker 1: your family's doing okay, and then the heat comes down
- 4:12Speaker 1: and your father is forced to snitch. That doesn't go
- 4:16Speaker 1: so well. Your dad is gunned down. The streets know
- 4:20Speaker 1: where the bullet came from, and the streets know why.
- 4:24Speaker 1: Gangster drivers who get all loose lips with the Feds
- 4:27Speaker 1: don't last long in Harlem. Neither do you and your mom.
- 4:31Speaker 1: She moves you both ten miles north to Mount Vernon,
- 4:35Speaker 1: far enough from the city to have some sort of normalcy,
- 4:38Speaker 1: but close enough to feel its pole when the suburban
- 4:41Speaker 1: boredom sets in. Boyhood is tough, but not as tough
- 4:45Speaker 1: as it would have been in Harlem. Your mom gets
- 4:48Speaker 1: by as a single mother. That you get by on
- 4:50Speaker 1: your mom's hustle and your daddy's term. But whatever this
- 4:54Speaker 1: life is. As you hit adolescents, it's clear to you
- 4:58Speaker 1: that it's not enough. You aspire to more. You put
- 5:01Speaker 1: your mother's hustle in your father's charm to work. In
- 5:05Speaker 1: college at Howard University, you throw parties, massive parties. One
- 5:11Speaker 1: such party results in a stampede. Nine people die. Somehow
- 5:16Speaker 1: you get away with it. You drive harder into the
- 5:19Speaker 1: paint with your career. You promote hip hop and R
- 5:22Speaker 1: and b artists for Andre Harrald's Uptown Records, Mary J. Blige, Jodasy. Soon, however,
- 5:29Speaker 1: Andrea gets an idea in his head. He thinks your
- 5:32Speaker 1: ego is growing out of control. He fires you. It
- 5:37Speaker 1: doesn't matter. You have an ace up your sleeve. The
- 5:40Speaker 1: Notorious Big, a heavyweight talent from Brooklyn whose first record
- 5:45Speaker 1: you stake your career on. It works. Biggie Small's debut,
- 5:50Speaker 1: Ready to Die is a massive hit. So is your
- 5:54Speaker 1: new record label, bad Boy. You, your label, and your
- 5:58Speaker 1: talent are controversial for many reasons. The critics think your
- 6:02Speaker 1: production is whack. Beef is the order of the day.
- 6:05Speaker 1: The media blows it all out of proportion. Your loudmouthed friend,
- 6:09Speaker 1: the beautiful and talented Tupac Secure, makes an enemy of you,
- 6:13Speaker 1: and Biggie Tupac is gunned down, and then so is Bickie. Still,
- 6:19Speaker 1: you take all of it in stride. You release your
- 6:23Speaker 1: own album. Now You're the star. Your debut single goes
- 6:27Speaker 1: to number one. Your debut album debuts at number one,
- 6:31Speaker 1: a first for a hip hop record. You cannot be stopped.
- 6:38Speaker 1: Success as a talent promoter, success as a labelhead, then
- 6:41Speaker 1: as a star. You spin it all into more success
- 6:45Speaker 1: as an actor, as a television producer. You start a
- 6:48Speaker 1: clothing line, a vodka brand, a television network. By the
- 6:52Speaker 1: year twenty twenty two, you're a billionaire and your hustle
- 6:57Speaker 1: never stops. All the while. You've worked hard, but you
- 7:01Speaker 1: played even harder. You heard the stories back when you
- 7:06Speaker 1: were coming up. The men who knew your father cursed
- 7:09Speaker 1: Frank Lucas the man believed to be responsible for your
- 7:12Speaker 1: dad's death, and they praised his rival, Harlem gangster Nicky Burns.
- 7:18Speaker 1: Unlike Frank, who patterned himself after a boring boardroom executive,
- 7:23Speaker 1: Nicky had style. Nicki rocked a different tailored suit every
- 7:26Speaker 1: night of the week, floor length furs, luxury cars, a
- 7:31Speaker 1: fleet of luxury cars, multiple homes, and multiple apartments scattered
- 7:36Speaker 1: about the city, each for a different woman. Nicki was
- 7:40Speaker 1: a gangster, sure, but he was also on the cover
- 7:43Speaker 1: of the New York Times magazine, decked out in his
- 7:45Speaker 1: finest swag, looking like the motherfucking pimp king hustler that
- 7:49Speaker 1: he was born to be. He loved the image because
- 7:53Speaker 1: you were born to be a gangster, born to be
- 7:55Speaker 1: a pimp king hustler as well. So you co opted
- 7:58Speaker 1: Nicky's image for your own. And when you finally made it,
- 8:02Speaker 1: when they let you in into the private corridors of power,
- 8:06Speaker 1: where the whispers became a little more full throated, were
- 8:09Speaker 1: the man who pulled the strings, dished on how the
- 8:11Speaker 1: real players let off steam. You were all ears. Alan
- 8:18Speaker 1: Carr was a talent guy turned producer, just like you,
- 8:22Speaker 1: but from back in the seventies and his parties were
- 8:25Speaker 1: still being talked about. Everyone got laid at Alan's parties.
- 8:29Speaker 1: Didn't matter if you were openly gay like Alan or
- 8:31Speaker 1: a gangster like Nicky Barnes. Didn't matter if you were
- 8:34Speaker 1: Rod Stewart or Rod Steiger, Diana Ross or David Geffen.
- 8:39Speaker 1: To Debauchery at Allen's Hollywood home parties was everywhere. The
- 8:44Speaker 1: muscle bound men, different kinds of hustlers than the ones
- 8:47Speaker 1: you were familiar with. The legend was that Alan had
- 8:50Speaker 1: him bust in a Listers pool, boys, Starlit's whatever kind
- 8:54Speaker 1: of sex you wanted, it was there for you at
- 8:56Speaker 1: Allan's because if you were at Allen's, you'd earned it.
- 9:00Speaker 1: You were in the entertainment business, and you were ascended.
- 9:04Speaker 1: Some took it too far when you afforded that type
- 9:08Speaker 1: of pleasure. When whatever you want is available to you
- 9:11Speaker 1: whenever you want it, how do you draw the line.
- 9:17Speaker 1: The internationally famous Russian ballet dancer Rudolph Nuriya have had
- 9:21Speaker 1: no line in Hollywood in nineteen seventy four. He was
- 9:25Speaker 1: being feted. Alan Carr was going to make sure nuriye
- 9:29Speaker 1: Have had whatever he desired at his party. So right
- 9:32Speaker 1: there at Allan's out in the pool house while the
- 9:35Speaker 1: party swung in that West Coast summer breeze easy kind
- 9:38Speaker 1: of way, while Mick Jagger tucked up Sidney Poitier by
- 9:42Speaker 1: the pool, while Alice Cooper and Salvador Dali shared a
- 9:45Speaker 1: joint off the patio watching May West Zipper cocktail with
- 9:49Speaker 1: Joan Didion and Dominic Dunn watching it all, Rudolph Muriyev's
- 9:53Speaker 1: screams of ecstasy gave Alan Carr's outdoor sound system a
- 9:57Speaker 1: run for its money. As you heard the story years later,
- 10:02Speaker 1: those moans came from the pool house, where outside a
- 10:07Speaker 1: line of twenty five hustlers waited to take on Nuriev. Inside,
- 10:12Speaker 1: where it was the ballet dancer had them all in
- 10:15Speaker 1: succession that afternoon, while the drinks and the gossip spilled
- 10:19Speaker 1: out by the pool in equal measure, all nonchalant, like
- 10:24Speaker 1: that kind of hedonism was next level, Alan Carr, Nicky
- 10:29Speaker 1: barnes Hell, even Bill Clinton. That dude got his in
- 10:33Speaker 1: the White House while married America found out, and dude
- 10:36Speaker 1: was like, yeah, so what, I'm the first black president?
- 10:40Speaker 1: The fuck are you going to do about it? And
- 10:42Speaker 1: he got away with it. Okay, that's not exactly how
- 10:45Speaker 1: it went down, but in retrospect it might as well
- 10:47Speaker 1: have been. And at the end of the day, Bill
- 10:49Speaker 1: Clinton was gangster. You were gangster as well, and you
- 10:54Speaker 1: saw yourself in the same light as you saw those
- 10:57Speaker 1: other gangsters, Bill Clinton, Nicky Barnes, Alan Carr. Your parties
- 11:02Speaker 1: would be just as legendary. Your parties would be just
- 11:05Speaker 1: as hedonistic. You and you were ascending a list friends
- 11:08Speaker 1: from the world of entertainment, would also have whatever you desired.
- 11:15Speaker 1: Half a million dollars. That was the cost of the party,
- 11:19Speaker 1: well for most of it, anyway, And most of that
- 11:21Speaker 1: money went toward the buildout, and most of that buildout
- 11:24Speaker 1: went toward the mirrors, mirrors on the walls, all of them,
- 11:28Speaker 1: and on the ceilings. And when the herbs split around midnight,
- 11:32Speaker 1: when the freaks came out, the strippers turned into sex workers,
- 11:35Speaker 1: and when the party favors arrived, when the drugs kicked in,
- 11:39Speaker 1: and when the heat in the house was literally turned up,
- 11:42Speaker 1: and when the sweats started to glisten under the strobes,
- 11:45Speaker 1: when the clothes started to fall off and the body
- 11:48Speaker 1: started to stick together on the dance floor, it would
- 11:51Speaker 1: just start to happen naturally for you, for your friends
- 11:55Speaker 1: a listers and comers alike, hangers on and even family whoever,
- 12:01Speaker 1: who were you to judge? You earned your hedonism just
- 12:05Speaker 1: like the gangsters before you. This was your time, your
- 12:09Speaker 1: chance to get your freak off. It was disgusting, blood feces,
- 12:43Speaker 1: seamen stains. Cleaners used a black light to spot the unseen,
- 12:47Speaker 1: settled grime. It was everywhere, on the walls, on the floors,
- 12:52Speaker 1: even on the ceiling. Your parties, freak offs as you
- 12:57Speaker 1: called them, as your staff called them as well, a
- 13:00Speaker 1: mess to clean up, and if you were being honest,
- 13:03Speaker 1: they were a bitch to put on. A lot of
- 13:05Speaker 1: work went into them. All of it seemed like a
- 13:08Speaker 1: herculean effort just to get off, But that was your
- 13:12Speaker 1: new reality, being the gangster, pimp, king hustler that you
- 13:15Speaker 1: now were. Your line had been pushed so far that
- 13:18Speaker 1: your freak offs were the only way you could satisfy yourself.
- 13:22Speaker 1: Sex with multiple women at once, with men as well,
- 13:25Speaker 1: and increasingly you taking care of yourself while you watched
- 13:29Speaker 1: other men have sex with other men and with your woman.
- 13:36Speaker 1: She was beautiful and talent, Cassie Ventura, just nineteen when
- 13:41Speaker 1: you met her. You were thirty seven. You put her
- 13:44Speaker 1: on the fast track at bad Boy. Bad Boy was
- 13:47Speaker 1: a machine plugging the talent, and the machine would do
- 13:50Speaker 1: the rest. Fame hit Cassie so quick. To her, it
- 13:53Speaker 1: was like she'd become a different person entirely. Who was
- 13:57Speaker 1: this new pop star staring back at her in the mirror?
- 14:00Speaker 1: And how had she gone from a random club girl
- 14:01Speaker 1: trying to get the DJ to spinner single to a
- 14:03Speaker 1: Billboard charting artist in just seven short months. Her talent
- 14:07Speaker 1: had a lot to do with it, but her boyfriend,
- 14:10Speaker 1: being one of the most powerful entities in the music industry,
- 14:13Speaker 1: also helped. However, flexing your power came with a price.
- 14:18Speaker 1: You were not a stupid man. You weren't going to
- 14:20Speaker 1: make Cassie a star without getting what you wanted in return.
- 14:24Speaker 1: There were rules. Actually, there was only one real rule,
- 14:28Speaker 1: and it was this. You controlled everything, and not just
- 14:33Speaker 1: when it came to Cassie's career. You controlled her personal
- 14:36Speaker 1: life as well. Where she lived, how she traveled, who
- 14:40Speaker 1: she traveled with, what she drove, what doctor she saw. Hell,
- 14:44Speaker 1: you even had her doctor send over her medical records
- 14:46Speaker 1: for you to review. You paid for her apartments one
- 14:50Speaker 1: in Manhattan within walking distance of your place, and another
- 14:52Speaker 1: in La also close by her home. That you paid
- 14:55Speaker 1: for her car, for her food, for her makeup, her clothes.
- 14:59Speaker 1: In an effect, the money you provided, along with your
- 15:01Speaker 1: position as head of the record label that employed Cassie Ventura,
- 15:05Speaker 1: in totality, you controlled her life entirely. You made sure
- 15:10Speaker 1: the drugs you took were the drugs she took. By
- 15:13Speaker 1: this point, you were addicted to prescription painkillers, so you've
- 15:17Speaker 1: instructed your staff to keep pills readily available for you
- 15:20Speaker 1: wherever you went, and you took them at all times,
- 15:23Speaker 1: especially when you drank, so when Cassie drank, you made
- 15:27Speaker 1: her take the pills as well. Drugs and alcohol were
- 15:31Speaker 1: a must during the freakoffs, and now you are hosting
- 15:34Speaker 1: many freakoffs, and they were easier to pull off than
- 15:37Speaker 1: the major bashes with hundreds of sex freaks. You could
- 15:40Speaker 1: host a minifreakoff at a hotel on the fly while
- 15:42Speaker 1: you were traveling, and the cleanup would be minimal compared
- 15:45Speaker 1: to hosting at your home. Cassie would later allege that
- 15:49Speaker 1: her participation at these mini fos as you were now
- 15:52Speaker 1: calling them, was mandatory increasingly for you watching your beautiful
- 15:58Speaker 1: girlfriend perform sexually with other men was what did it
- 16:01Speaker 1: for you the most, And as others have claimed, the
- 16:04Speaker 1: men had to be of a certain type, big black,
- 16:08Speaker 1: and massively endowed. Cassie did what she was told. What
- 16:13Speaker 1: else was she going to do? It's not like she
- 16:15Speaker 1: had a choice. You were in control, as a gangster,
- 16:18Speaker 1: pim king hustler should be, and as Cassie Ventura now claims,
- 16:22Speaker 1: you even had her source the hustlers from various websites
- 16:26Speaker 1: and had her work with your staff to arrange for
- 16:28Speaker 1: the hustlers to travel to your homes and to various
- 16:30Speaker 1: hotels where you were now hosting these mini freakoffs, effectively
- 16:35Speaker 1: forcing your girlfriend into sex trafficking, or so the allegation state.
- 16:41Speaker 1: Cassie claims that for a period of your relationship, you
- 16:44Speaker 1: insisted on a freakoff every week you spend gali these
- 16:48Speaker 1: affairs in their entirety, insisting Cassie search for the hustlers
- 16:51Speaker 1: online using the search term large black penises, and also
- 16:56Speaker 1: insisting Cassie paint her nails white to better contrast against
- 17:00Speaker 1: the color of the hustler's big black Well, you get
- 17:02Speaker 1: the picture. Sometimes the freak offs lasted for days. The drugs,
- 17:09Speaker 1: the alcohol, and the copious amounts of astro glad kept
- 17:13Speaker 1: it all humming. But now this particular mini freakof was
- 17:17Speaker 1: nearly over, and you'd taken care of yourself for a
- 17:20Speaker 1: final time. And we're now insisting that Cassie continued with
- 17:23Speaker 1: one of the male sex workers. She was going through
- 17:26Speaker 1: the motions, and so was he. You didn't care. The
- 17:30Speaker 1: only way you were getting what you wanted now was
- 17:32Speaker 1: to make sure your girlfriend kept having sex and remained distracted,
- 17:36Speaker 1: which was what was happening. At least that's what Cassie alleges,
- 17:40Speaker 1: claiming that that's when you went through her back and
- 17:43Speaker 1: then her phone, and just as you suspected, there were
- 17:46Speaker 1: messages from another dude, another musician. The rage hit you
- 17:51Speaker 1: like an ice pick slowly piercing your skull, but somehow,
- 17:55Speaker 1: in the moment is swallowed and you kept it buried
- 18:00Speaker 1: while anyway. January two thousand and nine, Los Angeles. This
- 18:08Speaker 1: party sucked. It was nothing like the parties you threw.
- 18:12Speaker 1: Alan Carr would have been bored, that's for sure. He
- 18:15Speaker 1: watched Cassie from across the room. Who was she talking
- 18:18Speaker 1: to another music manager? Why? What the fuck was she
- 18:22Speaker 1: talking to that dude? For she had a manager you
- 18:26Speaker 1: you ran her career, she was yours. Why the fuck
- 18:29Speaker 1: was she talking to that dude in the escalade on
- 18:34Speaker 1: the ride home from the lamest party you'd been to
- 18:37Speaker 1: in a long time. Cassie had no answers. That's when
- 18:41Speaker 1: the rage reappeared. That feeling in your skull was too much,
- 18:46Speaker 1: As Cassie Ventura would later allege, you then assaulted her,
- 18:50Speaker 1: pushing her onto the floor of the suuv and kicking
- 18:52Speaker 1: her viciously, stomping on her face. Your bodyguard attempted to
- 18:56Speaker 1: break it up as your driver wheeled up to your home,
- 18:59Speaker 1: but there was no stopping you. You threw out of
- 19:02Speaker 1: the truck and continued beating her, kicking her in the
- 19:04Speaker 1: face over and over and over again. Cassie's blood was everywhere.
- 19:10Speaker 1: Your security brought her inside, where she promptly vomited repeatedly
- 19:13Speaker 1: from the shock of the beating. Cassie's face was well destroyed,
- 19:21Speaker 1: is how it appeared. You couldn't have that. He checked
- 19:24Speaker 1: her into her hotel to heel and had your staff
- 19:26Speaker 1: barrier with gifts, flowers, luxury items of all sorts, jewelry, clothes,
- 19:31Speaker 1: et cetera. In time, you figured she'd forgive you and
- 19:35Speaker 1: come back. What the fuck else was she gonna do?
- 19:38Speaker 1: Give us some context on what we're about to see,
- 19:41Speaker 1: he means, on what we're about to hear.
- 19:43Speaker 2: This is incredibly disturbing. She claimed in her lawsuit that
- 19:48Speaker 2: she was physically assaulted by Diddy. But I've got our
- 19:51Speaker 2: hands on that surveillance footage. It appears to corroborate Cassie's
- 19:56Speaker 2: claims idemically captured on multi book game Resolu film clients
- 20:01Speaker 2: wearing a tall combs became extremely intoxicated and hoped in
- 20:07Speaker 2: the face, giving her a black eye.
- 20:10Speaker 1: She grabbed her, and he took glass gases in the
- 20:13Speaker 1: highway and seeing that comes can you see the.
- 20:18Speaker 2: Tack as the teraized on the ground comes, then kicks
- 20:23Speaker 2: her twice, hicks her twice.
- 20:25Speaker 3: Well, the video is out of the statute of limitations.
- 20:28Speaker 3: Of the statute of limitations in California for a simple
- 20:32Speaker 3: assault is a year. For domestic violence assault, it was
- 20:36Speaker 3: three years. They moved that up to five years. But
- 20:39Speaker 3: this is out of range for a state.
- 20:42Speaker 4: Charge in California.
- 20:44Speaker 3: However, let's get back to that federal investigation.
- 20:50Speaker 1: You couldn't believe it. She brought charges, charges against you.
- 20:57Speaker 1: You made her who the fuck was? She didn't she
- 21:00Speaker 1: know who you were after all you'd done for her
- 21:03Speaker 1: now this, but you had to admire her hustle. She
- 21:07Speaker 1: had you by the balls, whether you liked it or not.
- 21:10Speaker 1: After all this time together, she knew too much, she'd
- 21:13Speaker 1: seen too much. Hell, maybe she even had other evidence tapes.
- 21:18Speaker 1: You didn't have time now to worry about the tapes.
- 21:20Speaker 1: You had to pay her to shut her up, but
- 21:23Speaker 1: that meant paying her to go away. Thirty million, thirty
- 21:27Speaker 1: mili for a piece of ass. Still wasn't the most
- 21:30Speaker 1: expensive piece of ass you've ever had. That was for
- 21:32Speaker 1: sure when you added up all the sunk costs. Kim
- 21:35Speaker 1: costs more j Lo maybe too in other ways, but
- 21:37Speaker 1: again you couldn't think those thoughts. Now. You had to
- 21:40Speaker 1: move forward. Gangsters don't let women break their stride or
- 21:45Speaker 1: slow them down. And that's when it hit you, that
- 21:49Speaker 1: big immovable wall, the crushing force of public opinion. We'll
- 21:59Speaker 1: be right back after this. We're, we're, we're. The setup
- 22:11Speaker 1: was perfect. Cassie would later allege in her indictment that
- 22:15Speaker 1: you had a Patsy do the deed, total deniability. Nothing
- 22:18Speaker 1: could come back on you if he were caught in
- 22:20Speaker 1: the act. And he was a slippery fuck though, so
- 22:23Speaker 1: you weren't worried about him getting caught creeping. He knew
- 22:26Speaker 1: the neighborhood well, even if he didn't know the target.
- 22:29Speaker 1: The target sat in his living room with his boys
- 22:31Speaker 1: doing who knows what kind of laymass bullshit. Who hangs
- 22:34Speaker 1: out with just other dudes on a Saturday night, losers,
- 22:38Speaker 1: that's who? And what she saw in this guy? You
- 22:41Speaker 1: had no idea, kid, Cutty. He wasn't good looking, that's
- 22:45Speaker 1: for sure, and his music sucked day and night. The
- 22:50Speaker 1: fuck was that your drugged up security guard could come
- 22:53Speaker 1: up with that hook, and he barely had any bread
- 22:55Speaker 1: compared to you. Anyway, He did have a nice car,
- 22:58Speaker 1: a beautiful new Porsche that he loved that car, which
- 23:02Speaker 1: is why you had your guy creeping up on it.
- 23:04Speaker 1: Unbeknown's to Cutty. Right now, your guy walked softly into
- 23:09Speaker 1: Cutty's driveway, took his knife and drew a long slit
- 23:14Speaker 1: into the ragtop roof. Then the lighter igniting the oily
- 23:18Speaker 1: rag that was peeking out of the bottle, was the
- 23:20Speaker 1: only sound Your guy made before dropping the mall top
- 23:23Speaker 1: cocktail into the front seat. A kid cut his Porsche
- 23:26Speaker 1: before You still laughed at the thought of cutting inside,
- 23:34Speaker 1: freaking out, jumping into the lap of his stone friend,
- 23:37Speaker 1: dropping the gaming controller or whatever the hell else's lame
- 23:41Speaker 1: ass was holding onto at the moment. He wasn't holding
- 23:43Speaker 1: your girl, and he wouldn't be ever again. That was
- 23:46Speaker 1: the point. That's why you had to tell Cassie. You
- 23:49Speaker 1: had to tell her it was you who blew up
- 23:51Speaker 1: her side pieces car. It was the only way for
- 23:53Speaker 1: her to learn there was no leaving you, even if
- 23:56Speaker 1: you were broken up. She should fucking anything twice before
- 23:59Speaker 1: running into the arms of another man. As always, it
- 24:03Speaker 1: was about control. Cassie had none, which is why she
- 24:07Speaker 1: ran to an attorney to make those claims in the
- 24:10Speaker 1: first place, which is why you shelled out that thirty
- 24:13Speaker 1: mil to shut her up. But where you messed up
- 24:16Speaker 1: was thinking that the money wouldn't matter. Thirty million It
- 24:20Speaker 1: might not be shitped to a gangster like yourself, but
- 24:23Speaker 1: to others. After you settle the lawsuit with Cassie in
- 24:26Speaker 1: November of twenty twenty three, two more women quickly come
- 24:30Speaker 1: forward in two separate lawsuits alleging sexual assault. Your attorney
- 24:34Speaker 1: claims the allegations are false, but this isn't good. The
- 24:38Speaker 1: news of Cassie's lawsuit plus these two new ones turns
- 24:41Speaker 1: up the heat. You can feel public opinion turning on you.
- 24:45Speaker 1: You're forced to step down as chairman of your cable
- 24:47Speaker 1: television network, Revolt. A week later, another woman brings another lawsuit,
- 24:53Speaker 1: this one claiming you and two other men raped her
- 24:56Speaker 1: when she was just seventeen. You should have never se
- 25:00Speaker 1: settled with Cassie. Now everyone is looking for a payday.
- 25:04Speaker 1: You're forced to take to Instagram and issue a statement
- 25:07Speaker 1: denying the allegations from all of the lawsuits that spring
- 25:10Speaker 1: up after Cassie's saying, quote, I did not do any
- 25:14Speaker 1: of the awful things being alleged. I will fight for
- 25:16Speaker 1: my name, my family, and for the truth unquote. The
- 25:21Speaker 1: post cools things off for a bit. You try to
- 25:24Speaker 1: get back to your business as the holidays come and go.
- 25:28Speaker 1: Twenty twenty three he turns into twenty twenty four, and
- 25:31Speaker 1: then in February, if you're budding protege, producer Rodney Little
- 25:36Speaker 1: Rod Jones files his own lawsuit with allegations that reinforce
- 25:41Speaker 1: and expand upon the behavior alleged in the previous lawsuits.
- 25:45Speaker 1: Jones wants what Cassie got thirty million, and his indictment
- 25:49Speaker 1: sings in a way that the others do not. The
- 25:52Speaker 1: details are shocking. Jones claims that he's a heterosexual Christian man,
- 25:58Speaker 1: but that you corrupted him, that you made him the
- 26:01Speaker 1: quote victim of constant, unsolicited and unauthorized groping and touching
- 26:07Speaker 1: of his anus unquote. Jones goes on to claim that
- 26:11Speaker 1: you groomed him and that you promised him that if
- 26:14Speaker 1: he had sex with another producer friend of yours, Stephen
- 26:17Speaker 1: Aaron Jordan aka Stevie j that he Rod Little Rod
- 26:21Speaker 1: Jones would win a Grammy. Brod's allegations captivate the public's
- 26:26Speaker 1: attention in a way that the previous lawsuits failed to.
- 26:29Speaker 1: The seventy five page complaint alleges not only sexual abuse,
- 26:32Speaker 1: but goes into detail about the freakofs. It makes the
- 26:36Speaker 1: explosive claim that quote mister Jones possesses compromising footage of
- 26:41Speaker 1: every person that has attended his freakoff parties and house parties.
- 26:45Speaker 1: There it is the tapes. The Internet goes berserk with
- 26:51Speaker 1: rumors the public knows about your legendary parties. You're on
- 26:56Speaker 1: the record bragging about them numerous times over the past
- 26:59Speaker 1: two decades. We need alcohol. If you don't have what
- 27:03Speaker 1: they need, they gonna leave, right, gotta keep them there, right.
- 27:06Speaker 1: You need locks on the doors. They sounding kind of dangerous.
- 27:11Speaker 1: Now that's a little kinky, but yeah, yeah, check it out.
- 27:14Speaker 1: You need a lot of heat.
- 27:16Speaker 2: Heat affects the alcohol, and it also affects.
- 27:18Speaker 1: Like you know, everybody gets a little bit more comfortable
- 27:20Speaker 1: and loose those up a nice little sweat.
- 27:23Speaker 5: That just sounds disgusting.
- 27:24Speaker 1: What do you got depends on the way you look
- 27:27Speaker 1: at it. This isn't good. Your whole brand is that
- 27:31Speaker 1: of the sexy hip hop mogul party guy. Jones's allegations
- 27:35Speaker 1: fit too perfectly. Public opinion swings hard against you, even
- 27:40Speaker 1: though you deny everything in Rob Little Rob Jones's indictment,
- 27:43Speaker 1: saying through your attorney that Jones is just a liar
- 27:46Speaker 1: who is quote shamelessly looking for an undeserved payday quote,
- 27:50Speaker 1: and that Jones reckless name dropping about events that are
- 27:53Speaker 1: pure fiction and simply did not happen. There's nothing more
- 27:56Speaker 1: than a transparent attempt to Garner headlines. Lawyer goes on
- 28:00Speaker 1: to say, we have overwhelming, indisputable proof that his Jones's
- 28:05Speaker 1: claims are complete lies. Our attempts to share this proof
- 28:09Speaker 1: with mister Jones's attorney have been ignored. We will address
- 28:12Speaker 1: these outrageous allegations in court and take all appropriate action
- 28:16Speaker 1: against those who make them. But the denial does next
- 28:19Speaker 1: to nothing to dissuade the public's growing opinion of you
- 28:22Speaker 1: as some sort of Frankenstein version of Jeffrey Epstein, Harvey
- 28:25Speaker 1: Weinstein and Bill Cosby in the Internet turns its attention
- 28:30Speaker 1: to the tapes. Who do you have compromising footage of
- 28:35Speaker 1: which celebrities Jennifer Lopez, Lebron When where were their cameras
- 28:43Speaker 1: in all the bedrooms, in the bathrooms? How many years
- 28:47Speaker 1: have you been filming your parties? You're freaking a treasure
- 28:50Speaker 1: schow of a footage, that's what Rod Little Rod Jones
- 28:52Speaker 1: is a legend you have? And why purposes? Why would
- 28:56Speaker 1: you blackmail anyone? You're just a musician and entertainer when
- 28:59Speaker 1: you got right down to it, just a song and
- 29:01Speaker 1: dance man from the hood sort of via the burbs.
- 29:05Speaker 1: But still maybe you needed protection. Maybe you learned your
- 29:08Speaker 1: lesson way back in the day that it didn't matter
- 29:11Speaker 1: who you worked with or who you worked for. Could
- 29:13Speaker 1: be any old gangster, could be Alan Carr, could be
- 29:17Speaker 1: Bill Clinton, It could be Nicky Barnes, or it could
- 29:19Speaker 1: be Frank Lucas. No matter who it was, you were
- 29:23Speaker 1: all alone. They'd sell you out and you'd end up
- 29:26Speaker 1: dead in the front seat of your boss's card, just
- 29:28Speaker 1: like your old man did. You needed some sort of insurance.
- 29:32Speaker 1: The tapes, the tapes, the tapes.
- 29:36Speaker 4: It was all about the tapes. The tape had to
- 30:07Speaker 4: be leaked, and it had to be the FEDS who
- 30:09Speaker 4: leaked it.
- 30:10Speaker 1: After all these allegations, the women who were alleging you
- 30:13Speaker 1: drugged and raped them. The fact that you settled was
- 30:15Speaker 1: Cassie Lilrod's heinous claims about you. After all this, and
- 30:20Speaker 1: you were still a freeman, often your private jets somewhere.
- 30:25Speaker 1: It was too much. The public wanted your head on
- 30:28Speaker 1: a spit. The public wanted some accountability. That's one theory
- 30:33Speaker 1: of why the video of you beating Cassie was leaked.
- 30:37Speaker 1: The other theory is that there were powerful people on
- 30:40Speaker 1: those tapes of yours, and those people who were worried
- 30:43Speaker 1: about the tapes coming out, and then in the disappearing
- 30:46Speaker 1: days of twenty twenty four electoral politics, while those people
- 30:50Speaker 1: still had some juice left with the previous then current
- 30:53Speaker 1: administration and thus influence over those in power in the
- 30:56Speaker 1: federal government, that those people wanted the tapes buried. Leaking
- 31:02Speaker 1: the video of you beating the unholy hell out of
- 31:04Speaker 1: cast Inventor would give the government the roar of public
- 31:07Speaker 1: opinion that they needed to perhaps influence a judge to
- 31:10Speaker 1: sign a search war which would allow them to raid
- 31:12Speaker 1: your homes to retrieve the tapes. Your attorneys later alleged
- 31:17Speaker 1: that it was the Department of Homeland Security that leaked
- 31:19Speaker 1: the heinous video that would justify federal authorities doing whatever
- 31:23Speaker 1: they wanted with you.
- 31:28Speaker 5: Law enforcement sources are telling ABC New News right right now,
- 31:32Speaker 5: authorities are carrying out searches at properties associated with p.
- 31:37Speaker 5: Diddy forces that an arrest does not appear to be
- 31:44Speaker 5: imminent at this time. A video of one of these
- 31:48Speaker 5: searches being conducted Sean didty Kune's Los Angeles Tonys is
- 31:52Speaker 5: in the Beverly Hills area. Another search being conducted on
- 31:56Speaker 5: the other side of the country in miamimultiple allegations against
- 32:02Speaker 5: Shan Denny Combs over the years, multiple allegations against Shan
- 32:06Speaker 5: Denny Combs over the years, human trafficking, human trafficking. The
- 32:13Speaker 5: women who have made public accusations against Diddy are welcoming
- 32:17Speaker 5: Monday's law enforcement activity, We're told. In fact, there is
- 32:21Speaker 5: a statement from one of their lawyers where they're saying,
- 32:24Speaker 5: we will always support law enforcement when it seeks to
- 32:27Speaker 5: prosecute those who have violated the law, the beginning of
- 32:31Speaker 5: a process that will hold mister Combs responsible for what
- 32:34Speaker 5: they call his depraved conduct.
- 32:39Speaker 1: Kashmir loved her job at the booby Trap on the River.
- 32:42Speaker 1: The strip club was just eight miles from Star Island,
- 32:45Speaker 1: and Star Island was the home of Sean Ditty Combs.
- 32:49Speaker 1: When Diddy was in town, which was often his friend,
- 32:52Speaker 1: some called him Ditty's drug Meal. Brendan Paul would come
- 32:56Speaker 1: in and round up Kashmir and some of her co
- 32:58Speaker 1: workers for an after party pies for Kashmir. Sean Combs
- 33:03Speaker 1: was a recession buster. Twenty twenty four. At the Booby
- 33:07Speaker 1: Trap was no gold rush. The economy, even in Miami
- 33:11Speaker 1: was taking a hit. Sure on a good night especially
- 33:14Speaker 1: during football season, the girl could walk out with at
- 33:17Speaker 1: least a grant, sometimes a lot more. But on a
- 33:20Speaker 1: slow night, Kashmir would be lucky to take home one
- 33:23Speaker 1: hundred bucks, sometimes less. Often, a dancer on a slow
- 33:27Speaker 1: knight would wind up losing money. New outfits weren't cheap,
- 33:31Speaker 1: neither was makeup. So the parties at Ditty's house, despite
- 33:35Speaker 1: the work you had to do and the amount of
- 33:36Speaker 1: drugs you had to take, went a long way and
- 33:39Speaker 1: paying the bills for Kashmere and some of the other
- 33:41Speaker 1: girls down at the Booby Trap. And that's why the
- 33:43Speaker 1: girls snapped to attention whenever Ditty's mule walked through the
- 33:46Speaker 1: club's doors. They were always on the lookout for him,
- 33:50Speaker 1: especially on slow nights, which tonight most definitely was. But
- 33:55Speaker 1: Ditty's mule, brend and Paul wasn't walking through the Booby
- 33:58Speaker 1: Trap door on that early eve on March twenty fifth,
- 34:01Speaker 1: twenty twenty four, or anytime soon, because he was in
- 34:05Speaker 1: handcuffs at Obaalaka Airport, busted for cocaine and marijuana lace
- 34:10Speaker 1: candy while attempting to fly out of the country on
- 34:12Speaker 1: Sean Combs's private jet alongside Diddy, who listened intently to
- 34:17Speaker 1: his lawyer on the other end of his cell phone,
- 34:19Speaker 1: who was filling him in on everything he knew about
- 34:21Speaker 1: the raids that had just happened at both his Star Island,
- 34:23Speaker 1: Miami and Los Angeles. Holmes, No, you weren't being arrested. No,
- 34:28Speaker 1: he didn't know what exactly had been seized just yet. Yes,
- 34:31Speaker 1: he'd let you know everything as soon as he had information. No,
- 34:34Speaker 1: Miami PDE were not going to detain you for Brendan's
- 34:37Speaker 1: drugs just Brendan. Yes, you could leave the country now,
- 34:41Speaker 1: if possible, while you were still a freeman. When the
- 34:45Speaker 1: news of the twin raids on Seawan Combs's home broke,
- 34:48Speaker 1: so did the Internet in twenty twenty four, during a
- 34:51Speaker 1: year nearly NonStop wild news stories. In March, Sean didty
- 34:56Speaker 1: Combs was the biggest story on the planet. Was he guilt?
- 35:00Speaker 1: Did he do the heinous crimes that were being alleged?
- 35:03Speaker 1: If he didn't, why did he settle with Cassie? What
- 35:06Speaker 1: about the video of him beating her senseless? And if
- 35:08Speaker 1: he was innocent, why was he now in a private
- 35:11Speaker 1: jet flying to Antigua? But what exactly happened during the
- 35:14Speaker 1: raids what did the fed seas? Did they get the tapes?
- 35:18Speaker 1: What was on the tapes? Now? Who was on the tapes?
- 35:21Speaker 1: How many a list celebrities attended those didty parties? Amid
- 35:26Speaker 1: all the Internet conjecture, all the rumors, all the gossip,
- 35:29Speaker 1: all the conspiracy theories, there was also Sean Diddy Combs,
- 35:34Speaker 1: in his own words on video, damning himself with the
- 35:38Speaker 1: obvious for being the gangster, pimp, king hustler that he was.
- 35:43Speaker 2: If you don't have what they need, they gonna leave, right.
- 35:44Speaker 4: Gotta keep him there right, need locks on the doors.
- 35:51Speaker 1: Later that night, Kashmir sat backstage at the booby Trap,
- 35:55Speaker 1: running her meager stack of cash through the counting machine.
- 35:59Speaker 1: She didn't know why she even bothered, counting out forty
- 36:02Speaker 1: three dollars in ones did not require mechanical assistance. It
- 36:05Speaker 1: was more I have it. When she was done, she
- 36:10Speaker 1: leaned back in her chair and allowed herself to get
- 36:13Speaker 1: sucked into her phone. Like the rest of the world
- 36:15Speaker 1: at the moment, Curious to know what was happening with
- 36:18Speaker 1: the world's biggest gangster, pimp, king hustler, Sean Diddy Combs,
- 36:23Speaker 1: she scrolled up into a TikTok video of Diddy from
- 36:26Speaker 1: nineteen ninety nine, with a title promising proof Diddy has
- 36:29Speaker 1: always been a diddler. The Entertainment Tonight interviewer in the
- 36:33Speaker 1: TikTok video invites Diddy to comment, saying your parties are
- 36:37Speaker 1: the hottest ticket around. The gangster pimp King Hustler responds prophetically,
- 36:42Speaker 1: with you're gonna hear about my parties. They're going to
- 36:45Speaker 1: be shutting them down. They're probably going to be arresting
- 36:48Speaker 1: me doing all types of crazy things just because we
- 36:50Speaker 1: want to have a good time. Sean Diddy Combs, even
- 36:55Speaker 1: way back in nineteen ninety nine, The ultimate disgrace. I'm
- 37:01Speaker 1: Jake Brennan in this episode of Disgraceland is to be continued.
- 37:18Speaker 1: All right, guys, it bears repeating. Sean Diddy Combs denies
- 37:22Speaker 1: every single allegation that has been put forth about him.
- 37:25Speaker 1: Just wanted to restate that right here. All right, thank
- 37:28Speaker 1: you for checking out this episode of Disgraceland. Obviously, there
- 37:31Speaker 1: is a lot more to get into with the Shawn
- 37:33Speaker 1: Combs story, and I plan on doing just that with
- 37:35Speaker 1: our continuation of this Diddy saga coming in the next
- 37:37Speaker 1: few weeks. So many questions, right, but what is our
- 37:41Speaker 1: question this week. I want to ask you guys a
- 37:43Speaker 1: simple one. Do you believe that Sean Combs is guilty
- 37:47Speaker 1: of the horrible abuse detailed in these indictments. Let me
- 37:50Speaker 1: know if you do it or not and why? And
- 37:52Speaker 1: I want your ditty theories. Okay, hit me up, let
