I want to begin tonight with a look at just the horrific situation at the airports around the country. It is absolutely ridiculous that Americans are being held hostage, being penalized again with another Trump tax because You know what, if you miss your flight at the airport, the airlines are saying, hey, that has nothing to do with us. We're doing our job. Our flights are leaving on time. Sorry, you didn't get here eight hours in advance, six hours in advance. That's ridiculous. Let's talk to Brock and Ellis up in the beautiful confines of the upper Hudson River Valley, just north of New York City in Brock. LaGuardia is a mess. What's going on at Kennedy? Have you heard anything about Kennedy? Brock Ganeles (01:07.85) Kennedy's a mess. All the New York airports are disaster. But most major airports in the country are. I think the smaller ones have snuck by without huge disruptions. But I just find it, know, Republicans voted down another bill or which would have allowed for the funding of the TSA agents and just carved out ICE and just let the debate be over the funding of ICE. But they're like continuing to bundle everything together and trying to blame the Democrats for this shit show. Maybe that is working a little bit. It's maybe it's a 50-50 jump ball on who's getting the blame. But I just love the fact that the anger level of the American people is boiling up. MARK HAYES (01:50.721) don't think that... Brock Ganeles (01:55.838) And Trump's solution for the problem is to deploy ICE agents to the airports to supplement the efforts of the TSA agents. I can't think of a worse idea and one more ripe for just disastrous and idiotic outcomes. What do you how are you going to feel about masked agents with huge firearms standing, patting down eight year old white kid from North Dakota as he flies to Disney World. MARK HAYES (02:38.506) You know what? It's not gonna work. It's not gonna work. What are we gonna do? Have these guys in there with masks on and large artillery, huge weapons? Brock Ganeles (02:46.401) I know. Wait, let's just focus on the masks for a second. Cause A, the agents stay masked and it's just this really weird, intimidating dynamic. in an environment where many people are going on like a leisure vacation where they want to like, they're in good spirits, a good mood. They're going somewhere exciting. They're seeing family. They're going to, like I said, Disney world. Maybe, you know, they're going south cause the weather's warmer, spring break ish, Easter's coming up. So either that, either you have these massed, intimidating mass agents staring down, by the way, who flies but wait America, we'll get to that in a second. Brock Ganeles (03:40.558) the faces of who all these agents are and the online sleuths can start figuring out how many of these Jan Sixers we have as a part of our ace agents and what other nefarious characters we have as a part ace. I don't know how he's going to get past that because the comfort level of white America matters when they're flying. know, white America gets upset, you know, when they didn't, you know, get the proper pillow in their seat, who still gives out pillows and even people in first class. But, you know, look, This is not going to play well with white America at all, especially business travelers. Business travelers don't want to be bothered. Right. They're on a mission. They've got some place to get to. And if the line's not moving, because how's the line going to move? First of all, we we know, you know, the literacy rate among these what are we going to call them? ICE agents. I mean, how long would it take to get these people up to speed? Brock Ganeles (04:50.37) Yeah. MARK HAYES (04:56.397) Right? Where are we going to put them? On the luggage bin? You know, take everything out of your backpack, laptops, sneakers, everything out of your pocket. I mean, where they going to go? Right? In order to help. Where are they them? Brock Ganeles (05:07.693) So now some mask guy's gonna be yelling. Some mask guy's gonna be yelling. Right at the business guy in the suit and tie. Hey, shoes off, shoes off, right? Take your take the belt off, right? A masked guy with a huge firearm is going to be yelling or at the little 38 year old Christian housewife from Kansas who's flying down to Dallas to see her mother and she's getting yelled at by an ICE agent or he's rifling through her bags. So these guys are getting trained overnight on how to be TSA agents. They're just going to intimidate the shit out of people. The reason I love it is because, you know, white America was like, Hey, I'm not seeing ICE agents of my neighborhood, my little cushy neighborhood, right? And my little gated community. Yeah, they're going after the others. Fuck. Yeah, I'm on board. They're that 34 % that's still approving of Trump. But now the ICE agents are jammed in their face. Now they're going to see firsthand how terrible these agents are, how untrained they are, how undisciplined they are and how intimidating. MARK HAYES (05:52.723) Right. Right. You're right. Brock Ganeles (06:13.807) intimidating and dangerous they are because of the the weaponry that they carry so that's a Phenomenally funny element of it because it's like hey white America Here are these fucking agents that you're fine with running around banging down the doors of brown people MARK HAYES (06:24.877) Yeah, now how do you like it? Not so much. And I don't know if you've seen the lines here in Atlanta. I mean, they're back through the baggage pickup area, back by the carousels. Brock Ganeles (06:43.403) I've seen videos, I've seen people videoing the lines and it just goes on forever. MARK HAYES (06:47.957) It's insane. Yeah, they've got, you know, cones going through the baggage pickup area, baggage claim, and then you go down that long, long, long, hallway toward pre-check. Pre-check isn't even helping you right now. Brock Ganeles (07:05.037) Trump and Duffy and Homan think that deploying ICE troops is going to speed up the lines in the airports and move things through faster. That's phenomenally funny. The other funny part about it, let's just think of the dynamic of the workforce now. Many TSA agents are people of color. I don't even really remember if the airports were still, they must have been, but I don't really recall. But now it's just like run of the mill spring, you know, spring break travel. A tipsy, well-to-do wife from the University of Alabama comes traipsing through the Birmingham or Atlanta airport on their way to spring break in Cabo and gets into an altercation with one of these masked ICE agents and gets body slammed. or heaven forbid. that's just the worst case scenario, bro. That like, you know, watching more white Americans brutalized in the airport is a no win for anyone. Brock Ganeles (09:33.591) Well, we know the... Brock Ganeles (09:41.431) Does he mean? Everything's out in the open. Number two is we know these ICE agents have the worst bedside manner in the world. They don't know how to interact with the populous. You know, I'm pulling all that shenanigans because I'm not missing my flight. And I was one of thousands of white guys doing that same shit. You know, it's funny too, I was in the airport a couple of weekends ago and saw a woman, know, hey, my flight's leaving. Well, so is, you know, the other 3000 people in line. Their flight's leaving too. And she wanted to walk past everybody. And when she got to the front, she ran into a little confrontation. I can't wait to see. They got 47 days worth of training, you know, to go out in the field and harass people and that didn't work out well. I mean, it is nonsensical. Brock Ganeles (12:08.385) mean, this is at least this is 48 hours of training at most if they if they just started on Saturday because they're going to be deployed on Monday. I this decision was announced just within within days Trump off the seat of his pants, right? Because probably because he was watching TV and Fox News probably did a piece, you know, a segment on the length of the lines at the airports. Trump slipped out. He saw all those white people online. He sees Fox News talking about it. He's like, we got to fucking fix this, right? So Duffy and Homan and boom. And now we got TSA agents getting deployed tomorrow. Oh, I can't fucking wait. So we're going to stop deporting immigrants now because we have to redeploy all the agents to the airports. So now it's not so important whatever happened to the caravans and the immigrants and the violent criminals that are raping and pillaging and destroying America. MARK HAYES (13:07.863) Thank you. Was it going to be black folks, Asians, more Latinos? Like who was next on the list? Is that what they get deployed next? Pretty soon, TSA is just going to become this auxiliary, you know, manual workforce that's just going to run around trying to fix all Trump's problems. It's going to become the worst job in America. It's going to get deployed anywhere. MARK HAYES (15:14.132) No. Think about it. Why are beef prices so high? Right? Why did chicken take off? Why are egg prices so high? Right? Think about who's working. You know, we got a chicken process. This is the chicken processing capital of the world right here, right down the road from me. 30 minutes. Gainesville, Georgia. All the major chicken plants are up there. Get behind one of those chicken trucks if you dare. The smell will knock you out. And let me tell you something. Ain't a whole lot of white folks, African-Americans, Asians or others besides Latinos working up in there. And, you know, I haven't heard about any major ice rates down in Gainesville. I've heard, you know, rumblings, but you know, nothing like what we've seen in, you know, some of the other cities around the country. So yeah, it's a problem. Your boy's got no answers. None of his people have answers because none of them are any good at what they're doing. Yeah, so you know, don't, I Brock, to answer your question, there is no need for ICE agents to be running America. That's the workforce here that you're snatching up in case you didn't know. That's what keeps labor down. The cost of labor is undocumented workers and folks that are in the system trying to establish citizenship. That's what keeps the cost of labor down. You know why? Because Black folks, Asian folks, white folks, they want benefits. Right? They want jobs with dental, healthcare, vision. right flexible spending they want all that right and your latino folks are coming here because this is the system Brock Ganeles (17:16.395) They have no interest in busting their ass in that way. But Mark, as you were speaking, I was kind of thinking, I wonder, know, Trump has a sense, right? He knows America doesn't like what's going on with ICE. You know, he knows it played well, sloganeering in the campaign trail, but hasn't played well in as a practical... MARK HAYES (17:29.785) as public service. Right. I wonder if this whole this ICE agents to the airports is is a first step in a backpedal of Trump away from having such an aggressive ICE force on the streets. He may redeploy them come election time, because he's going to do anything under the sun to steal that fucking election. But I wonder if he wants to pull back on some of the antagonism that ICE has created throughout America. Because as much as he lies and pretends and is a narcissist and a pathological liar, he knows his approval is down. MARK HAYES (18:20.864) which is the most important. Thank you. Right, right.
