Before we go into what happened, was there any matches on this

card that you were looking forward to before we got to the

results? So I suppose effectively I'm

beforehand? The main event, there's been a

storyline. It's been over a year in the

making, so the final bit of that made an event for the title.

Yeah, yeah. There was a couple of matches

that I was looking forward to the the Lally winter and fierce

match. But I think the title match kind

of took president over anything else on this card, and with good

reason as we will come to later on.

So let's start with match #1 which originally was going to be

2 semi final matches in the eliminate tournament as it

should have been. I think it was Chris Ridgeway.

round, but yeah, Jack Johnson was supposed to be in the final,

but sadly he was injured. Yeah, on unfortunately Jack

picked up an an injury which has effectively ruled him out for

well Jack from everyone here. But then we got, I'd say we have

a better idea of things of effectively just having a triple

Because I mean, two matches would have, both of these

matches would have been fun, but having the final being between

these three made a whole lot of sense.

The participants were that of Chris Ridgway, Declan McCarthy

match felt like it could have gone on a bit longer because it

just felt like a it felt a bit short to me.

good match, but it was like a slow burner which ended like I

It was it didn't overstate Welcome, if anything could have

So we then moved to match #2 in a stipulation that got added

very late. Yeah, this was last minute.

So yeah. Yeah, because it had us all kind

of looking at each other asking did we know about this rule, but

So it was as has been put on cage match, the whoever is

pinned retires tag team match. So we had Trail of Dead with

Chase Alcala and Max Brooker. They took on the team of made to

last in Leon Grey and Ryan Vaughan.

Beforehand, we were doing that game of predict who we think

he's going to lose and kind of crossing out who we think it

wouldn't be we. Said Max Brooker was clear.

Yeah, out of all of them I think we said Brooker was the clear

favourite not to get pinned in this, especially as he is the

OTP champion. So that kind of narrowed it down

to three. This was a good match.

I thought it started off a lot with made to last having the the

early going trail of dead would kind of like fight their way

back into this contest. It was very I'll tell you one

thing I liked about this match. They didn't.

They kept you guessing on what was going to happen because at

one point you felt it was going to be Chase that was going to be

the the loser. And then it switched to Leon,

then it switched to Ryan. And as the match went on and on,

you really could not tell who was going to win this match.

And I think that's what made it kind of more interesting to

watch. But unfortunately, it saw Ryan

Vaughan taking the loss and seeing him sadly having to

retire. That was after he took a what

was it AI? Think it was like an yeah, it

was like an assisted pile driver.

And then Max broke up in him to make him retire, which was a

shame. So we we had chasing Max from

trailer dead with Lewis Johnson kind of celebrating their

victory. And we then had Ryan sat in the

ring on lacing his boots with Leon kind of giving him a hug.

It's it felt like it almost felt like it was a storyline when

they first announced it. And even when the match ended,

yes, still felt that they were going to do something.

But they could have asked or they could have said to Ryan,

or joining the trail of dead. But obviously it wasn't and it

really was a retirement, which I mean, I haven't seen too much of

So it was a it was a bit of a bobber that kind of like this

So we then move to match #3 which was almost the comedy

match of the whole show, wasn't the only comedic spot that

occurred on this show, but we'll come to that further down the

line as we saw that damn dirty dog Gene Money taking on be

more. Bailey, Sam Bailey, what was

This match was a load of fun. It was just Gene Money just

mocking Sam Bailey all much long.

I felt like Money dominated this match.

Bailey got a little bit in on money, but money was just fired

almost a call back to the previous show where.

seconds against AJ to a roll up. And then later that show we had

So there was little callbacks to that in the in the beginning

bit of a palate cleanser to kind of like on this show.

It wasn't the most serious match, but it was having your

best two workers. I feel just putting on a bit of

a a comedic match, but still showing that they are two very

competent and very good wrestlers.

But it ended with Gene Money hitting the Ainsley Lariat for

the 1-2 and the three. And obviously Bailey just kind

of got left in the ring for a good few minutes after the match

All the all the scouses in the audience chanting Bailey's going

One thing I enjoy about especially Atomic is when there

are Manchester wrestlers on and it's always you mank so and so

because I I mean, I could get slightly triggered by some of

these, some of these chants, but it's it's a it's a bit of fun.

So that that was a that was a good match.

I think this was the yeah, it was, I was, this was the what

you would call the main event of the first half, which isn't

really a main event. But before we had the tag title

match, we had Troy Ryan, formerly of the Meat Waggon,

coming out with both of the Atomic Tag Team titles, of which

him and Anderson Daniels are the were the current tag team

champions. For those that don't know, a few

weeks ago it saw Anderson Daniels sustaining a triple leg

break and Daniels had always stressed that if he sustained a

serious injury that he would walk away.

Unfortunately, that is what's happened.

So heading into this show and even moving forward, it was a

case of what's going to happen with Troy Ryan moving forward.

Troy grabbed the microphone, cut a promo and kind of explained

the situation. However, he's not going to

defend the tag titles. Instead, he was informed

everyone that the following contest, which was originally

scheduled to be for the Burning Heart Pro Tag Team Titles, that

this would also be now for the Atomic Tag Team Titles, meaning

that two sets of belts would be up for grabs.

So we had the four teams being Act 2, FTM quintessential and

the current at the time Burning Heart Pro Tag Team Champions in

the Grizzled Young Veterans. Where do we start with this

So just before that Rogan come out and just.

Oh. Yeah, Rogan come out and said

he'd break his leg if he was Troy Ryan's partner, and then

Troy Ryan beat up Rogan and then we got into the match after

Rogan left the premises. To yeah, there was a the chance

of Yorkshire PUD aim towards Rogan.

But I we we were kind of saying before we did the recording that

this feels like it's going to be Troy and Rogan in singles action

moving forward because I think they're going to try and make

the best out of the bad situation.

But who knows, they may try and still do A tag team match and

have Troy find a partner or whether they're just going to go

down singles routes. We don't know.

Grizzled Young veterans who are not really known for doing high

flying moves. Drake can pull them off now and

then. But it seemed very much like

Quintessential and Act Two were the the high flies of this

match, and FTM and the Grizzled Young Veterans were more the the

kind of mat and technical. Sides in this one we did get the

fun little standoff between Critcher, who claims that he is

the real Liverpool #1 against Zach Gibson, who as we all know

has had that moniker for quite a while.

And having these two face to face was quite humorous, I

thought, especially as Gibson kind of smacked Critchy and just

basically gave him the the wanker sign, which I think cops

a lot of people. But then we kind of had all the

the high flying spots with put doing a yeah twisting Corkscrew

moonsault. And then McCall did like a front

flip. But I I would love to know what

McCall was thinking when he went to do that because he went from

the turnbuckle bouncing the middle.

Row then to the top. And then it was like a

character for Tom when you watch these when you watch these

matches, because normally he's more the the technically sound

wrestle, but it's again, when it's a title match, you do pull

things out of your backside. And I mean, he he only just

managed to to get everyone, but it still looks spectacular no

matter what. And then we got towards the

closing stages, which saw the grizzled young veterans having

Patrick Quinlan on their on his on Gibson shoulders hit the

almost like the doomsday device with Drake knocking PUD.

It looked an awkward, very awkward landing.

Hood gets up, staggers back. Ireland smacks him on the back.

Yeah. I thought, yeah, we're going to

win because if McCall kicked out a Grit your teeth, if you

we all realised that we were probably going to get a title

change because if you kick out of that, that's normally an

And then it sees Howland pinning Drake to get the 123.

I think we both said we did not fully expect Act 2 to win this

match. They were, they were up there,

but we didn't think it was. We thought it might have been

FTM or Quintessential that win this.

But Act 2, it's it's in keeping with them winning a lot of tag

titles of late. So I'm not against it, but it's

it's going to be interesting I feel now with them holding the

titles and what they do because they they held the tag titles

for quite a while with Memories. Second time right now.

So I wonder if we'll get the if we'll bring the little tag

titles back as the. Mini ones are they were classic.

they've never been on a Burning Heart show before.

looking like it could be FTM. But obviously that did not

good thing because it wasn't hugely obvious of what happened.

No one really predicted Act 2. So it's nice when you you get a

result that's a bit unexpected. So we then came out of the

interval and headed to the tag team match between Lally, that

being Holly Barlow and Lana Austin taking on the unofficial

team of Fire and Ice off Fierce Winter, whichever you want to

call them, that being Lily Winter and Melissa Fierce.

This was a really fun match to watch.

All four are hugely entertaining to to see in the ring.

You kind of know what you're getting with Lally, you're going

to get kind of Holly Barlow with her Scrappy Doo approach to to

wrestling matches. I feel Lana Austin, who almost

seems like she's having to babysit at times, Holly just due

to the exuberance that Holly has and also not wanting to be

around her at the same time. While on the flip side, you've

got Lily Winter, who I keep saying improves every single

time I see her and is becoming one of the top female wrestlers

in the Northwest, I feel. And then you've got Melissa

Fears, who I mean, she just seems to be all over the place

at the moment. She's she's recently just been

in Cyprus. She won the Trying to remember

the actual name of the title, the Nancy Benoit Fallen Angel

Tournament at Pew. And the Wrestling in Newcastle

champion as well. Yeah, she recently won that

title. She is collecting honours like

Oberman used to collect belts is one way to put it.

This is 1 match I was really looking forward to because I

love all four and this match didn't disappoint.

It was, I think we can fairly say it was a bit of a slow

burner because it felt like all four were baby faces in this

match. And then I think very kind of

3/4 in Winter and Fierce took it upon themselves to slightly bend

the rules slightly so we we could distinguish between the

two who was good and who was bad ended up at the end with, I

mean, whichever tag team name you want to go by, but Winter

and Fear take the victory. This is after Holly tried to, I

think she tried to do a like a son, almost like a sunset

flipper that very well fisted an incredible job of saving Holly's

life as sheep on Instagram where Holly kind of went to jump over

like a sunset flip. Did not get it that well.

Almost fell. Fierce used all her strength to

So, but the ball is in their court, so to speak, on what the

on this contest? It was very fun to watch to

teams just with a lot of charisma, just bouncing off top

of each other. It's as I say, I went into this

looking forward to this match and as I say, I was not

disappointed in any way. Though if you did see the

Instagram story that I posted, our little corner seems to be

the only ones that cheered for winter in Fierce, which I did

feel find quite humorous. But everyone was cheering for

Lolly because it's Lolly and they're they're extremely over

with the fans. Then we came to the penultimate

match of the night, which was a four way contest with Joe

Kessler, Joe Blazer, Rob Drake, I'm the leading man, Tony

This match was chaos as well like where'd you go with this

match? I felt like majority of the

match it was like Tesla and Drake looking like they were

going to have a one-on-one match and then Blazer was going for

Tony Wright. It was like everyone was going

for each of at one point it was like it was like, where's Wally

body in the ring? Like Chaos.

It was the thing as well of it felt like they were trying to

set up possible angles with Blazer and Tony Kessler and

Drake. And we seem to kind of just

rotate them round and see which one fitted best.

And I think following this match, it feels like it's going

to be Kessler and Drake, Blazer and Wright, if the if that's the

route they go down as like possible feuds, which I will not

be against. I'll be happy a lot.

Yeah is having seen Blazer and Wright feud future shock, they

put on some really fun storylines.

Kessler and Drake. It's it's literally 2 men, 2

meaty men slapping meat, which is what they did the whole the

match itself I thought was a really good match on till we got

to the closing stages. Then it kind of went a bit off

the rails. Yeah, unfortunately.

Not due to the wrestlers. No, absolutely nothing with the

wrestlers. If anything they tried to save

or salvage something from the the mess.

The ref Watch. I've, I've shown it to a couple

of friends at referees and they just said it, it was just a

miscommunication that did not look good.

Just one of those things. There's been a couple this year

that's it's just been like a, a miscommunication that's not

helped a match. But at the same time, they've

done well to kind of cover it up.

So the scenario was Rob Drake had Tony Wright in AI don't

I can't remember. Yeah, because we couldn't see

from from our vantage point because we had Joe Kessler

putting Joe Blazer in a sleeper hold and then kind of fell back.

So we couldn't see what Drake was doing to Tony.

Blazer taps a fair few times and the crowd is saying Joe's

tapping, Joe's tapping. And the referee seemed to be

more interested in what was going on with Drake and then

looked over at Kessler and then didn't know what to do.

And then Kessler let go of Blazer.

Drake let go of right. Both men stood up.

And then Kessler put the sleeper hold immediately back onto

Blazer. And after a few seconds, Blazer

And Drake, just Drake was not a happy man, I think it's fair to

particularly was Eva with how this panned out.

Even during his kind of post match celebrations, he did not

really look a happy camper. Eva, the only person that well,

we can't remember how Wright reacted, but Joe was still

falling all over the place having been in the sleeper hold.

put a dampener on what was a really good match, which is

And I've made the point of Drake this year having really the only

times I've seen him is Atomic and he's had three of the

stinkers this year. But the more I've seen him it

feels very much like it wasn't him.

For why the matches were not particularly good.

It's he's been very unlucky. As you say, at Atomic he was in

a feud that was awful and thankfully they they've

scrapped. I do get slightly worried at GPW

because the same two men look like they're going to be

at Odyssey was a really fun match.

So while the first half of this year I was thinking that could

be a problem, the second-half of this year has been a much better

having gone over to well, he travelled to Australia, done a

A new man, so to speak, has the rat King and the way they did

the rumble to set up Teddy and Olbermann was really well done.

I actually thought the promos, especially Scott, who's seems to

be the king of the promos this year because Anthony editor has

definitely got his his miles in this year.

At this point, every promo I think he's Dunn's almost been

with Olbermann. We were all looking forward to

this title match. I think it went about 25, maybe
