- 0:52Speaker 4: I'm great man. I feel like it's been a while.
- 0:55Speaker 1: I know half of our episodes start that way, but
- 0:57Speaker 1: I know, but for reals, my heart.
- 1:00Speaker 4: You look well. You're handsome as ever.
- 1:03Speaker 1: Thank you at you Stop it going? Okay, keep going,
- 1:07Speaker 1: keep going? What have you been up to? Tell me everything?
- 1:11Speaker 4: Just hanging out?
- 1:12Speaker 1: Man?
- 1:12Speaker 4: Oh, I went to New Orleans. That was fun. We
- 1:15Speaker 4: got this buddy, Dave had his big I don't know
- 1:19Speaker 4: if he wants me to say how old he is.
- 1:20Speaker 4: He's fifty, I don't care. Immediately changed my mind, so
- 1:24Speaker 4: he had a big birthday, so we went down there
- 1:26Speaker 4: for that. It was super fun. Got to see slam Duncan,
- 1:30Speaker 4: who's been on the Pod a few.
- 1:31Speaker 1: Times, quite a few times.
- 1:34Speaker 4: We just had a great time, dude. We had awesome
- 1:36Speaker 4: weather while we were there. We did like the fanboat
- 1:41Speaker 4: swamp tour thing that's love fun.
- 1:44Speaker 1: I always loved.
- 1:45Speaker 4: That, and then just ate like a bunch of food
- 1:48Speaker 4: and heard a bunch of music and just walked around
- 1:51Speaker 4: and it was great. I really liked that place.
- 1:53Speaker 1: It's cool, love it.
- 1:54Speaker 4: Yeah, it's a cool vibe down there. It's just so old,
- 1:57Speaker 4: which I really like. It's like old and off that
- 2:00Speaker 4: it almost feels European, even though I know European cities
- 2:03Speaker 4: are way older obviously, but it's just what I feel,
- 2:06Speaker 4: you Yeah, you know, like it's like, oh, it's got
- 2:08Speaker 4: a real vibe to it, which is fun. So we
- 2:11Speaker 4: had a delightful time. I came home Thanksgiving happened. I
- 2:16Speaker 4: didn't actually even end up going anywhere, which was also
- 2:18Speaker 4: fun because I just relaxed. How lux Oh man, that's great.
- 2:24Speaker 4: I relax quite a bit. But yeah, that's what I've
- 2:26Speaker 4: been doing.
- 2:26Speaker 1: How about you. I've been on the road been on
- 2:30Speaker 1: the road. I got back.
- 2:32Speaker 5: This morning, and we just had a run of six
- 2:35Speaker 5: shows in a row, and I was ready for a
- 2:39Speaker 5: couple of days off for sure.
- 2:42Speaker 4: I bet, I bet.
- 2:43Speaker 1: But the shows have been really fun. Man, it's been
- 2:45Speaker 1: a fun tour.
- 2:46Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 2:46Speaker 5: It's really great having Adam Bestine out and having so
- 2:50Speaker 5: many people meet him.
- 2:51Speaker 4: Yeah, that's fun.
- 2:53Speaker 1: Just so good.
- 2:54Speaker 4: Yeah, different energy, new energy, like just fun to kind
- 2:57Speaker 4: of everything's new again. I don't know, I can see
- 2:59Speaker 4: that being really great. That's fun.
- 3:00Speaker 5: Up, it's been, it's been wonderful. We've really lucked out
- 3:04Speaker 5: knock on Wood with weather have you?
- 3:07Speaker 4: Oh good?
- 3:08Speaker 5: I mean it's been in the sixties like the last
- 3:11Speaker 5: three days that we've been out, which is just crazy.
- 3:14Speaker 5: Which is better. It was better in Hayes, Kansas, warmer
- 3:18Speaker 5: than it was in Panama City Beach, our very first show, that's.
- 3:22Speaker 4: Right, because you guys said it was pretty chilly there, right, it.
- 3:25Speaker 5: Was forty one degrees. That's an outdoor show, and that
- 3:30Speaker 5: was not a happening. It was not a great way
- 3:32Speaker 5: to start out a tour doing an outdoor show that cold.
- 3:36Speaker 1: But it's been good. Show has been good, that's great.
- 3:40Speaker 1: We've still got quite a few more. When this comes out,
- 3:42Speaker 1: we'll still have like another week of tours.
- 3:44Speaker 4: So man, that's wild to think about. It feels like
- 3:47Speaker 4: this month is going so quick.
- 3:49Speaker 5: No, I guess we won't have another week of tours
- 3:51Speaker 5: when this comes out.
- 3:52Speaker 1: I don't know anything.
- 3:53Speaker 4: I don't know stuff. It's fine.
- 3:54Speaker 1: Everything's good.
- 3:55Speaker 4: Either will or won't, so deal with it.
- 3:58Speaker 1: Because Christmas is right around the corner. It really comes out.
- 4:01Speaker 4: Yeah, that's fun.
- 4:03Speaker 6: Yeah, very cool, buddy, Uh you have you watched Oh
- 4:08Speaker 6: damn you, bam you. I went to the theater and
- 4:12Speaker 6: saw a movie that I'm fairly sure everyone in America
- 4:16Speaker 6: has seen at this point, and I kind of assume
- 4:18Speaker 6: you're going to talk about it too.
- 4:20Speaker 5: I'm going to talk about a different one, but I
- 4:22Speaker 5: will talk to you as well about this one.
- 4:25Speaker 4: I don't want to know what you're going to talk about.
- 4:27Speaker 1: But you're gonna you've seen it as well, So this
- 4:29Speaker 1: is gonna be great.
- 4:29Speaker 4: Oh, great, fantastic. I'm here to talk about Wicked. Wicked
- 4:34Speaker 4: taking the Nation by storm.
- 4:36Speaker 1: Rob, It's crazy. Yeah, it's so cool. You did a
- 4:39Speaker 1: whole movie about the Boston phrase Wicked.
- 4:42Speaker 4: Really interesting. Go down to the cop Park it's wicked
- 4:46Speaker 4: or it's Wicked, Okay, bad jokes, Nope, I loved every
- 4:51Speaker 4: moment of it. Wicked, of course based on the Broadway play,
- 4:55Speaker 4: which is of course based on the movie.
- 4:57Speaker 1: Uh Wizard of Oz.
- 4:59Speaker 4: Yeah, Wizard of Oz. Yeah it goes without saying it doesn't.
- 5:02Speaker 4: I just didn't say it, but yeah, I loved this
- 5:05Speaker 4: movie a ton. I thought was really much. We've talked
- 5:08Speaker 4: about this before. I had never seen any iteration of
- 5:11Speaker 4: Wicked somehow, which.
- 5:12Speaker 1: Is kind of blows my mind a little bit.
- 5:14Speaker 4: I don't understand it. I was like crying and smiling
- 5:19Speaker 4: the entire time I watched this movie. I assume we
- 5:22Speaker 4: will do an episode on it at some point.
- 5:26Speaker 1: I think it's streaming.
- 5:27Speaker 4: That's what we're talking about this, right, Yeah, because it's
- 5:30Speaker 4: so fun and delightful. Everyone crushed their parts in this.
- 5:37Speaker 4: I mean, we knew Cynthia Rivo was gonna be incredible.
- 5:41Speaker 4: She I mean, she's even better than I thought somehow.
- 5:45Speaker 4: Mariana Grande was so good. I was a little like good.
- 5:49Speaker 4: I'm not sure, but she's she's been good and a
- 5:52Speaker 4: bunch of stuff, so probably she'll be good. And she
- 5:54Speaker 4: was magnificent. I see, I think there's gonna be some
- 5:58Speaker 4: Oscars for you know, at least nominations for both of
- 6:01Speaker 4: them and the movie probably. I loved it. I thought
- 6:04Speaker 4: it was.
- 6:05Speaker 1: Set design kind of stuff like production. Yeah, so so cool.
- 6:10Speaker 4: I assume this will also lead to like, are we
- 6:13Speaker 4: going to get a Wizard of Oz remake? Like I
- 6:15Speaker 4: don't know, you know, or some like who knows what's
- 6:18Speaker 4: going to happen. I'm excited to see the second one
- 6:21Speaker 4: whenever it comes out. It sounds like it'll be next
- 6:23Speaker 4: year already because they they did the dual filming thing
- 6:27Speaker 4: and yeah, already done, I think, is it. John chou
- 6:31Speaker 4: is the one who directed it. I think he even
- 6:32Speaker 4: said it's edited already or something crazy.
- 6:35Speaker 5: Yeah, so like they just want to space it out
- 6:37Speaker 5: so they can make a billion dollars for each movie.
- 6:40Speaker 4: Absolutely, which I support. But I'm glad it's going to
- 6:43Speaker 4: be here sooner than later. And man, I'm just I'm pumped.
- 6:46Speaker 4: I loved it. What did you think?
- 6:48Speaker 1: Same? Same? Everybody was good.
- 6:50Speaker 5: People that I didn't know still crushed it. That Fierro guy,
- 6:54Speaker 5: I guess is from Bridgerton.
- 6:57Speaker 1: He was great, He was wonderful.
- 6:59Speaker 4: I really like a lot. Yeah, I'm with.
- 7:01Speaker 5: You, and you said the two leads obviously, Jeff Goldbloom
- 7:05Speaker 5: is the Wizard was just the most brilliant choice.
- 7:09Speaker 4: Chef's gifts like no notes. Michelle Yo always amazing.
- 7:13Speaker 1: She's always great. I loved bow and Yang. He's so funny.
- 7:17Speaker 4: Oh yes, Bowen was great in this. Yeah. I really
- 7:20Speaker 4: liked that a lot.
- 7:21Speaker 1: And then we had Keela Settel who was in Waitress.
- 7:25Speaker 1: She was in the Greatest Showman. She was in it
- 7:28Speaker 1: as well. Yeah.
- 7:29Speaker 4: Yeah, when she came on stage around the film, I
- 7:31Speaker 4: was like, oh, I love you know her. Yeah, she
- 7:33Speaker 4: just had like a little ADP depart But I liked it.
- 7:36Speaker 1: But it was incredible.
- 7:36Speaker 5: I got to go with Kelsey and we we aren't
- 7:40Speaker 5: able to go to many movies. Yeah, and it was
- 7:43Speaker 5: like a school night. It was one of the first
- 7:45Speaker 5: nights that came out. Until my dad came over and
- 7:48Speaker 5: I was like, Dad, just so you know, this is
- 7:49Speaker 5: a long movie.
- 7:50Speaker 4: It is a long movie, that's true.
- 7:52Speaker 5: And so he had to stay up kind of late
- 7:54Speaker 5: until we got back. But I've never seen Kelsey so
- 7:57Speaker 5: affected by a movie. She was straight up just so
- 8:00Speaker 5: until we got into the van.
- 8:02Speaker 4: Yeah, and it's not like she's like stonehearted, so that's
- 8:05Speaker 4: even no more amazing.
- 8:06Speaker 1: That's great, No, dude, she it was really moving.
- 8:10Speaker 4: It really I was in my feels for sure. Yeah,
- 8:13Speaker 4: which is not a big surprise at all, but no, no,
- 8:16Speaker 4: I thought it was wonderful. I did love it. Nice. Well,
- 8:19Speaker 4: what movie were we going to talk about? What's the
- 8:20Speaker 4: most recent movie you've seen?
- 8:22Speaker 1: One that you saw?
- 8:23Speaker 5: So Ridley Scott went and made a sequel to a
- 8:26Speaker 5: perfect film.
- 8:27Speaker 4: I thought about this one too, Yeah.
- 8:28Speaker 1: Nice Gladiator too.
- 8:31Speaker 5: So this stars Paul Mescal, Denzel Washington, Pedro Pascal and
- 8:37Speaker 5: they brought Connie Nielsen back.
- 8:39Speaker 1: From the first one. Yeah, which was fun and I
- 8:41Speaker 1: thought it was okay.
- 8:44Speaker 4: Yeah, I had a ton of fun. I didn't think
- 8:47Speaker 4: it was amazing, but I liked.
- 8:50Speaker 5: I really liked how they tied it into the old
- 8:52Speaker 5: one yep, and I thought it was worth doing. There
- 8:56Speaker 5: were some things I didn't like, and it was mostly
- 8:58Speaker 5: like the filmmaking.
- 8:59Speaker 1: Side of things.
- 9:00Speaker 5: Oh, the CGI and this was not like.
- 9:04Speaker 4: Amazing, questionable. The first spoiler if you don't want to
- 9:07Speaker 4: hear spoilers ahead.
- 9:08Speaker 1: The CGI animals in the beginning.
- 9:10Speaker 4: Yeah, yes, specifically that first big thing. I was like
- 9:14Speaker 4: oh no. I remember talking to like the people I
- 9:18Speaker 4: was with after the movie, and I was like, that
- 9:19Speaker 4: first one came up and I was real scared and
- 9:22Speaker 4: it got better.
- 9:23Speaker 1: But that was it did get better? Was it was?
- 9:26Speaker 1: It was distracting. Yeah.
- 9:27Speaker 5: And another thing that I really don't like. Excuse me,
- 9:33Speaker 5: I really hate how they do big crowds. Now, what
- 9:36Speaker 5: do you mean, like when there's like a if they're
- 9:40Speaker 5: in a stadium or in this case the Colisseum. Yeah,
- 9:43Speaker 5: and it's just so clearly a computer image. And then
- 9:47Speaker 5: they like doubled down and did some close ups of
- 9:51Speaker 5: CGI crowd shots and they were like in slow motion
- 9:54Speaker 5: and it looked terrible.
- 9:56Speaker 4: Yeah, I don't I don't like that vibe at all,
- 9:58Speaker 4: Like i'd way read that they do like the Lord
- 10:01Speaker 4: of the Rings thing where you can tell that it's computered,
- 10:04Speaker 4: Like I don't know, but don't. I added, I'm with you,
- 10:07Speaker 4: I don't like it either, And I.
- 10:09Speaker 5: Was surprised that that made it in the movie that
- 10:12Speaker 5: didn't get edited out.
- 10:13Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 10:14Speaker 5: I also didn't enjoy the two like Emperor like characters
- 10:18Speaker 5: who was so similar to like the Joaquin Yeah Emperor.
- 10:23Speaker 5: They did nothing for me, which was a bummer, but
- 10:26Speaker 5: all the main actors I thought were great. I just
- 10:29Speaker 5: thought it had like a lot to live up to,
- 10:31Speaker 5: and it felt like it fell short for me.
- 10:34Speaker 4: Yeah, I one hundred percent understand that. I was the
- 10:37Speaker 4: vibe we went on opening night, so the vibe was
- 10:39Speaker 4: really fun, and I was like, yeah, that wasn't great.
- 10:42Speaker 4: But I did like it, like I had a nice time.
- 10:44Speaker 4: It was a spectacle.
- 10:45Speaker 1: I guess there were things that I liked.
- 10:47Speaker 4: Yeah, I really didn't dig the It was a lot.
- 10:51Speaker 4: It felt like they tied it into the first movie
- 10:53Speaker 4: and then leaned on that recipe a little bit too hard.
- 10:56Speaker 4: Because the like the river Styx motif that they had.
- 11:00Speaker 4: I was like, all right, okay, okay.
- 11:02Speaker 1: They also they didn't get Hans zimmerback.
- 11:05Speaker 4: Yeah that's a real mistake. Yeah, I don't know what happened.
- 11:10Speaker 1: I mean, he's a busy guy. He's touring all the time.
- 11:13Speaker 4: No too, that's fair, Yeah, that's fair. I get what
- 11:17Speaker 4: you're saying. I still think it's worth seeing if you
- 11:19Speaker 4: like worth seeing.
- 11:21Speaker 1: But you know, the first one's just perfect. So agreed,
- 11:25Speaker 1: there it is.
- 11:25Speaker 4: It is absolutely not anything close to the first one.
- 11:29Speaker 1: Yeah, agreed. Yeah, what about streaming stuff. Have you been
- 11:33Speaker 1: streaming anything fun?
- 11:34Speaker 4: Yeah? So I went to Prime and streamed a movie
- 11:37Speaker 4: that I'd never heard anything about or saw. It was
- 11:41Speaker 4: from twenty twenty one. It's called The Map of Tiny
- 11:44Speaker 4: Perfect Things. Have you ever seen or heard of this movie?
- 11:48Speaker 1: Neither?
- 11:49Speaker 4: I haven't. It is a rom com, as it turns out,
- 11:53Speaker 4: But man, what a charming little movie this was. I
- 11:56Speaker 4: don't know if it just caught me at the perfect
- 11:58Speaker 4: time or what was going on. I mean, you know me,
- 12:01Speaker 4: I love a rom com.
- 12:03Speaker 1: I do know that about you.
- 12:04Speaker 4: But this is sort of a It plays on the
- 12:07Speaker 4: sort of like Palm Spring slash Groundhog Day motif of
- 12:12Speaker 4: like some looping stuff that's happening. But it's it's really
- 12:17Speaker 4: fun and a lovely little romance comedy like nestled in there.
- 12:23Speaker 4: It's really good. I liked it a lot. I thought
- 12:25Speaker 4: was really really fun. I did not know the dude
- 12:27Speaker 4: in it at all. Kyle Allen is his name?
- 12:30Speaker 1: No idea with most of these people on this cast list.
- 12:33Speaker 4: Yeah, Catherine Newton you've seen before. She was in that
- 12:38Speaker 4: ant Man movie that didn't do great, and then she's
- 12:41Speaker 4: been in a bunch of other stuff too. Yeah, but
- 12:44Speaker 4: I didn't recognize this Kyle guy like at all. I
- 12:47Speaker 4: guess he was in West Side Story, but I didn't.
- 12:50Speaker 4: Was he the main kid? I don't think so. Not
- 12:52Speaker 4: a clue, But anyway, I it was knowing that I
- 12:56Speaker 4: really knew. It feels like it was like one of
- 12:58Speaker 4: those straight to prime situations. I really liked it though.
- 13:02Speaker 4: I thought it was really fun. I had a good time.
- 13:05Speaker 4: If you, you know, are in the mood for a
- 13:07Speaker 4: little little romcom action, go check it out.
- 13:11Speaker 1: Cool.
- 13:12Speaker 4: Yeah, nice, it was. It was cute. I liked it.
- 13:14Speaker 4: How about you? What he been streaming?
- 13:16Speaker 5: I was on a plane and watched a new movie
- 13:19Speaker 5: that I see is now streaming on Hulu, and it's
- 13:22Speaker 5: called Thelma, and I thought it was wonderful. It's about
- 13:28Speaker 5: a ninety three year old woman who gets duped by
- 13:31Speaker 5: a scammer pretending to be her grandson.
- 13:35Speaker 4: I think it's been a cool poster. I think I
- 13:37Speaker 4: saw like the movie poster for it. Yeah, fun, that's cool.
- 13:40Speaker 5: But she's determined to get her money back, and it's
- 13:43Speaker 5: it goes through that and June Squib plays Thelma, and
- 13:47Speaker 5: she is so great. She's adorable. One thing that's funny
- 13:52Speaker 5: is that her grandson is played by one of the
- 13:54Speaker 5: Emperors and Gladiator too. Oh funny, not the guy from
- 14:00Speaker 5: the Stranger, the other guy man.
- 14:03Speaker 4: Oh sorry that's a spoiler. Sorry.
- 14:06Speaker 1: Yeah, but he was completely different in this. He was
- 14:10Speaker 1: just this sweet, nice grandson. So I saw them both
- 14:14Speaker 1: within like a week. I was just like, woa. His
- 14:16Speaker 1: name is a real singer, heckinger. I don't know how
- 14:20Speaker 1: you say his last time. Yeah, he really showed his
- 14:23Speaker 1: range for those two movies.
- 14:25Speaker 4: Yeah, funny. I like that. That's cool.
- 14:28Speaker 5: But yeah, I don't want to give too much of
- 14:29Speaker 5: it away because it was It was really cute. I
- 14:32Speaker 5: highly recommend it. It made me feel good afterwards.
- 14:36Speaker 1: And now you got Richard Rowntree who played Shaft in it,
- 14:39Speaker 1: and he's an old guy wonderful.
- 14:41Speaker 4: So that's super fun wonderful. Yeah, I'm definitely gonna watch this.
- 14:44Speaker 4: This seems right up my alley.
- 14:45Speaker 1: It's really cute, man, cute and fun. I liked it
- 14:48Speaker 1: a lot.

- 15:57Speaker 5: Hello Marsha Griziak, Hello, Mary Fox, Hellette Walkley, Hello, Yohem Brostad,
- 16:02Speaker 5: Hello Jackie Houston, Hello deb Olk, and hello Noel Flores.
- 16:06Speaker 5: You guys are wonderful, Thanks so much. And another perk
- 16:10Speaker 5: we'll give our patrons as an extended version of every
- 16:13Speaker 5: episode we put out, where we'll do a top five
- 16:15Speaker 5: draft that pertains to the movie.
- 16:17Speaker 1: We're talking about.
- 16:19Speaker 5: And for this one, we did our top five favorite
- 16:22Speaker 5: comedy kidnapping movies.
- 16:26Speaker 4: Just the funniest thing you can do to someone, kidnap them.
- 16:30Speaker 1: Just take them and just laugh and laugh.
- 16:36Speaker 4: I didn't know this was such a trope. I mean
- 16:39Speaker 4: I kind of did, but man, once you start digging in,
- 16:42Speaker 4: this is a lot of films.
- 16:44Speaker 1: It's a lot of movies.
- 16:45Speaker 5: Yeah, and I still feel like I had a hard time,
- 16:48Speaker 5: but some of my faves are in there.
- 16:50Speaker 4: Yeah, agreed, it's nice. Agreed. So it'll be fun to
- 16:53Speaker 4: see which ones, of course I always love, which ones
- 16:56Speaker 4: did I forget about or whatever? So it will be
- 16:59Speaker 4: a good time. We all look forward to that. But
- 17:02Speaker 4: we're here today to talk about a wonderful film, a
- 17:05Speaker 4: little National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation from nineteen hundred and eighty nine.
- 17:13Speaker 4: Oh yes, thirty fifth year. That's old Buddy that is old.
- 17:19Speaker 4: It is that's almost us old.
- 17:21Speaker 1: I mean it is almost getting there.
- 17:26Speaker 4: And to talk about this triumph of movie, we had
- 17:29Speaker 4: to just get the man who would sell his house
- 17:32Speaker 4: for an RV, the man who would definitely dump his
- 17:36Speaker 4: sewer in the local gutter. For the man who's thrown
- 17:40Speaker 4: many an icicle through a neighbor's window and gotten away
- 17:44Speaker 4: with the perfect crime. That's right, This segue is not good,
- 17:47Speaker 4: but he sure is given up. For Chris Chatham.
- 17:50Speaker 1: What's up, Chatham? Hi?
- 17:54Speaker 3: How's it going? Gang?
- 17:56Speaker 4: Oh my god?
- 17:57Speaker 1: So good?
- 17:57Speaker 3: How are you? I am just feeling a hashtag blest you.
- 18:02Speaker 5: Know you are hashtags. We feel hashtag blessed having you back.
- 18:07Speaker 5: And you got that beautiful Christmas tree behind you.
- 18:10Speaker 1: You're in the Christmas spirit. I just love it.
- 18:13Speaker 3: I'm a big fan of Christmas this whole time, Halloween
- 18:16Speaker 3: through Christmas. I'm just you know, it's like in line
- 18:19Speaker 3: with my personality, like fall, I hate this summer. So
- 18:22Speaker 3: this is really where I shine.
- 18:24Speaker 1: Yeah, similar on that.
- 18:27Speaker 3: Yeah, this is the time the endorsmen go outside. Honestly,
- 18:31Speaker 3: this is when we do it. Yeah, when it's not
- 18:34Speaker 3: hell exactly.
- 18:36Speaker 4: I kind of forgot this, I know, I shouldn't have
- 18:38Speaker 4: because of the movie, but I forgot I should have
- 18:39Speaker 4: worn my Christmas like sweater.
- 18:41Speaker 1: It would have been.
- 18:43Speaker 3: Hold on, I got mine too, I gotta. I got
- 18:46Speaker 3: a cat in a Christmas tree and the lights light up,
- 18:49Speaker 3: so I literally have it with me.
- 18:52Speaker 4: That's fun.
- 18:52Speaker 3: Yeah, it's really great.
- 18:53Speaker 4: Well maybe next time, yeah, next year.
- 18:56Speaker 1: I don't actually next year, yeah, work work good, it
- 18:59Speaker 1: doesn't it would have been.
- 19:00Speaker 4: We're recording it a little early.
- 19:02Speaker 3: That's my excuse, all right, yeah, yeah, that's right, I
- 19:05Speaker 3: mean right, right, right, okay, right right, let's go to
- 19:09Speaker 3: the phones.
- 19:11Speaker 4: Let's go to the phone. What do you guys sat
- 19:14Speaker 4: about Christmas? No, you're doing something very christmas y, not
- 19:17Speaker 4: only in your home there, but also you've doing some shows.
- 19:21Speaker 4: You're in LA right now, Is that right?
- 19:23Speaker 3: That is correct?
- 19:24Speaker 1: Yes?
- 19:26Speaker 4: What are you doing out there?
- 19:28Speaker 1: Well?
- 19:28Speaker 3: I am a musical director for a little show called
- 19:31Speaker 3: Santa's Secret, which is pretty fun. It's not for kids.
- 19:36Speaker 3: I'll just say that if anyone's in the area and
- 19:38Speaker 3: you're like, it's not.
- 19:39Speaker 1: It's not a family.
- 19:41Speaker 3: It's fun, it's it's well past are it's not a
- 19:44Speaker 3: good really yeah, it's close to n seventeen there's a
- 19:47Speaker 3: lot of wall I wish I was there. Yeah, it's
- 19:49Speaker 3: a fun time. I tried to you know, there's I
- 19:52Speaker 3: can't invite everyone. I'm like, hey, you should stay home,
- 19:55Speaker 3: but your your friends, don't bring your parents please, Like
- 19:59Speaker 3: it's not.
- 20:00Speaker 4: Else might enjoy this.
- 20:01Speaker 3: Yeah, i'd with, Yeah, it's uh, it's just there's a
- 20:07Speaker 3: I'm basically we're a band. We back up this vocalist
- 20:10Speaker 3: and she's very good the t Simona's her name. She
- 20:14Speaker 3: she does a lot of stuff with postmodern jukebox nice
- 20:17Speaker 3: and it's just us backing her up. And all the
- 20:20Speaker 3: guests are coming in through this whole winter wonderland, are
- 20:23Speaker 3: taking kind of photos and talking to the other performers
- 20:28Speaker 3: in the show, which are like aerialless and there's a
- 20:32Speaker 3: dominatrix that takes over Santa. That's a fun time, don't
- 20:38Speaker 3: you know. I don't want to distract the whole thing
- 20:40Speaker 3: thinking about what that means. But she is the most
- 20:42Speaker 3: perfect creature I've ever seen. So here's a confusing person.
- 20:45Speaker 3: I don't know what to do. Every time I've say,
- 20:49Speaker 3: but yeah, we play this music and I'm supposed to
- 20:52Speaker 3: sing some stuff. I'm actually singing some Mariah Carrey the
- 20:55Speaker 3: all over Christmas and they've like the cast is kind
- 20:58Speaker 3: of caught on that I'm singing something. They're like, wait
- 21:00Speaker 3: are you doing because they were like, wait, I've heard
- 21:03Speaker 3: teas like talking to the audience, but there's still someone singing.
- 21:06Speaker 3: It is that you? And I'm like yeah, and they're like,
- 21:08Speaker 3: you don't make sense? Yeah exactly. I'm like, yeah, sorry,
- 21:13Speaker 3: I'm a little girl, but.
- 21:15Speaker 4: You know you're a moderately sized girl.
- 21:19Speaker 1: Come on.
- 21:19Speaker 3: The guy, the one dancer who looks like a like
- 21:22Speaker 3: a chiseled, perfect specimen of a male, was like, did
- 21:25Speaker 3: you go through puberty? I was like, no, just in hair,
- 21:29Speaker 3: shut up, idiot, let's arm wrestle. Al al immediately that
- 21:37Speaker 3: that was bad. But yeah, it's been super fun. It's
- 21:40Speaker 3: a really it is a fun show. I love performing
- 21:42Speaker 3: at The musicians I have are all awesome. The singer
- 21:44Speaker 3: is great.
- 21:45Speaker 4: That's great.
- 21:46Speaker 3: Yeah, but it's it lasts until New Year's and then,
- 21:49Speaker 3: uh then I'm back to reality.
- 21:52Speaker 4: And that's at the Beverly Center.
- 21:53Speaker 1: In l A.
- 21:54Speaker 4: Right, Uh huh where did they go if they want
- 21:56Speaker 4: to get tickets? Do you know that? Offhand?
- 21:59Speaker 3: If you look up Santa a secret l A. You
- 22:02Speaker 3: will find it, and there's there's a website and all that,
- 22:04Speaker 3: and you can get tickets there. And yeah, there's two
- 22:07Speaker 3: shows a night for basically from the eighteenth to the
- 22:10Speaker 3: to New Year's there's every day except for Christmas. We
- 22:12Speaker 3: have something going on.
- 22:13Speaker 4: Nice. Yeah, Santa's secret dot Co there it is dot ceo.
- 22:21Speaker 3: What that means?
- 22:22Speaker 1: What was your joke about that? Weren't you guys dot
- 22:24Speaker 1: Co bugs?
- 22:26Speaker 4: Yeah, you're right, I forgot about you joke.
- 22:30Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 22:31Speaker 4: I would always say it's the Sound Exchange dot Co.
- 22:34Speaker 4: That's right, we couldn't afford the m there it is,
- 22:38Speaker 4: And then people would love.
- 22:41Speaker 1: You'd have to you'd have to stop for an applause break.
- 22:44Speaker 4: Even the third lamest joke. I would tell you that.
- 22:48Speaker 3: They still they still come up to you now, right,
- 22:50Speaker 3: and they're like, I remember that joke you made dot Man.
- 22:54Speaker 4: Oh yeah, you the dot co guy.
- 22:57Speaker 1: Yeah that's me. I know, I know, yeah, I'm trying
- 23:01Speaker 1: to follows.
- 23:02Speaker 4: I forgot that joke existed. I just read that and
- 23:05Speaker 4: moved on. Thank you.
- 23:06Speaker 1: Rob lives On, You're the dot.
- 23:09Speaker 3: Guy to me always, I'll never remember.
- 23:11Speaker 4: Always said that what he calls me Coco. I don't know.
- 23:16Speaker 3: You're just trying to get a You're just trying to
- 23:17Speaker 3: get a sponsorship from Conan.
- 23:19Speaker 1: Is that that's it? Always now on Team Coco Productions,
- 23:24Speaker 1: thank you.
- 23:24Speaker 4: Yes, I'll be on Team Coco right now. I'm ready.
- 23:27Speaker 3: Yes, you'll never have me as a guest again.
- 23:32Speaker 1: True, absolutely, have you on always.
- 23:35Speaker 3: John Carroll Lynch every day, dude.
- 23:37Speaker 5: You would be you would be our musical like John Baptiste,
- 23:42Speaker 5: or like our Shafeier, Yeah, or like who are some
- 23:45Speaker 5: of the other ones?
- 23:46Speaker 1: I can't.
- 23:48Speaker 3: I'll be your question. Although you love I'm very much
- 23:51Speaker 3: like yeah, quest, Yeah, I mean I mean the same
- 23:54Speaker 3: same state, same person.
- 23:55Speaker 1: I mean pretty much.
- 23:57Speaker 4: Yeah, I love that. Love that well from Night TV
- 24:00Speaker 4: to you know, Saturday Night Live. You know we have
- 24:04Speaker 4: a little tie in because we have a lot of
- 24:05Speaker 4: people from Saturday Night Live here in this movie.
- 24:07Speaker 1: We're to talk about really.
- 24:09Speaker 3: Good Yeah, that was a great segue.
- 24:15Speaker 4: We're here to talk about Christmas vacation and rob I
- 24:18Speaker 4: just I can't wait anymore? Will you get us started
- 24:20Speaker 4: with a rough synopsis, just like that Dominatrix lady, Yes.
- 24:25Speaker 1: Let's do this.
- 24:27Speaker 5: As the holidays approach, Clark Griswold wants to have a
- 24:30Speaker 5: perfect family Christmas, so he pastors his wife, Allen and children,
- 24:34Speaker 5: and as he tries to make sure everything is in line,
- 24:38Speaker 5: including the tree and house decorations. However, things go away quickly.
- 24:44Speaker 5: His hicic cousin Eddie and his family show up unplanned
- 24:48Speaker 5: and start living in their camper on the Griswold property.
- 24:51Speaker 5: Even worse, Clark's employers reneg on the holiday bonus he needs.
- 25:00Speaker 3: Sorry, I needed it did, thanks.
- 25:07Speaker 4: Yeah, let's go to rotten to mottos near what they
- 25:09Speaker 4: have to say critics have that's coming in at a
- 25:11Speaker 4: fairly solid seventy one.
- 25:13Speaker 3: Well that twenty nine percent of them are wrong.
- 25:18Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean there's that, but you know it's not
- 25:20Speaker 4: it's not really a critic film, now, you know. So
- 25:24Speaker 4: there's that. I guess audience members they have a much
- 25:27Speaker 4: higher at eighty six percent eighty six fourteen solid, so
- 25:33Speaker 4: only fourteen.
- 25:34Speaker 3: They're still bad. They're still not fair though.
- 25:36Speaker 4: Yeah, that's better. Well, let's go in and hear what
- 25:39Speaker 4: we think of it. It's time for our hot take.
- 25:42Speaker 1: Hot take.
- 25:42Speaker 4: Oh that's a hot take.
- 25:45Speaker 3: That's a hot take.
- 25:49Speaker 1: But that cat.
- 25:52Speaker 4: Fire hot that oven because that turkey is Crispy Crispy
- 25:58Speaker 4: Hot Hot take. I'll go first. I like this movie
- 26:06Speaker 4: quite a bit. This is one I've seen many times
- 26:10Speaker 4: over the years. It was a it wasn't like an
- 26:13Speaker 4: every year staple for us in my family, but but
- 26:16Speaker 4: club like, you know, every few years for sure. It's
- 26:20Speaker 4: always on TV and has been basically my whole life,
- 26:23Speaker 4: so you're always watching part of it around the holidays.
- 26:26Speaker 4: I feel like, at the very least, super super funny.
- 26:30Speaker 4: I loved Chevy Chase back in the day, have grown
- 26:34Speaker 4: to learn he's kind of a toolbag as time goes on,
- 26:38Speaker 4: not super easy to work with. But I still liked
- 26:42Speaker 4: this rewatch. I thought, I thought it was really fun.
- 26:44Speaker 4: It's a very you know, like sticky movie. They're not
- 26:48Speaker 4: trying to make anything too important happen, you know, like
- 26:51Speaker 4: the plot's not super important. I think though, that my
- 26:54Speaker 4: hottest take about this movie is Clark is way more
- 26:58Speaker 4: of a dickhead than I really remember. Like, I kind
- 27:01Speaker 4: of thought he was like a sympathetic character, and he
- 27:04Speaker 4: is at times, but a lot of the time he's
- 27:07Speaker 4: just like not really considering other people's feelings. He's not
- 27:11Speaker 4: really listening to anyone. He's just kind of a jerk. Yeah,
- 27:15Speaker 4: and I thought that was really interesting. I did not
- 27:17Speaker 4: remember that at all, and also didn't know this is
- 27:21Speaker 4: the third one in the series. I always thought this
- 27:23Speaker 4: was second for some reason.
- 27:24Speaker 1: Sure you were forgetting European vacation, Yeah.
- 27:28Speaker 4: I just European felt like they would do that later
- 27:30Speaker 4: rather than right after, which I love European vacation.
- 27:34Speaker 1: Yep.
- 27:35Speaker 4: I mean none of them are Vegas vacation, but we
- 27:37Speaker 4: all try try hard.
- 27:40Speaker 1: I love see.
- 27:43Speaker 3: Wasn't there like a second of these? Wasn't there Christmas
- 27:46Speaker 3: Vacation too? And it's like mostly Eddie something like that.
- 27:48Speaker 3: There's something about that that I was like, And I
- 27:50Speaker 3: tried to watch it and I was like, nope.
- 27:52Speaker 4: Well Ed Helms made that vacation movie again.
- 27:55Speaker 5: Yep, really was Christmas related?
- 27:59Speaker 4: That wasn't Christmas?
- 28:00Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 28:01Speaker 4: Anyway, I think this movie is sticky, it's fun. It's
- 28:05Speaker 4: very nostalgic for me. I don't it's not like a
- 28:08Speaker 4: top you know five movie of my Christmas time memories
- 28:13Speaker 4: or anything.
- 28:14Speaker 1: But I really like it.
- 28:14Speaker 4: I think it's fun.
- 28:16Speaker 3: Hot take that it's not top five. It is a
- 28:19Speaker 3: hot take that doesn't hot take.
- 28:21Speaker 4: I don't know. Maybe it is I don't know.
- 28:23Speaker 5: That's well, we have You're dead to me, It's fine.
- 28:28Speaker 1: So I kind of a similar take.
- 28:30Speaker 5: It was not like a big It just wasn't a
- 28:32Speaker 5: big It wasn't in the rotation much. When I was
- 28:37Speaker 5: my family didn't really watch it much. However, I saw
- 28:39Speaker 5: it a ton. I had a band teacher in middle
- 28:43Speaker 5: school that played it every year, And looking back on it,
- 28:47Speaker 5: there's like no way that a band teacher could show
- 28:50Speaker 5: that to their middle school. That's pretty wild. Wow, that's interesting.
- 28:54Speaker 5: I mean, we all thought it was very cool that
- 28:56Speaker 5: he was showing it, and so.
- 28:59Speaker 1: Yeah, I definitely saught a few times that way. It
- 29:02Speaker 1: was directed by Jeremiah Schik and.
- 29:07Speaker 5: Was his first feature film he directed. Yeah, he directed
- 29:12Speaker 5: some more films after. This is by far the most successful.
- 29:16Speaker 5: It looks like he does a lot of TV now,
- 29:19Speaker 5: But it's written by the prolific writer director John Hughes,
- 29:24Speaker 5: who has given the world so many wonderful movies and
- 29:27Speaker 5: so many holiday movies, quite a few.
- 29:32Speaker 4: He loves a holiday motif.
- 29:34Speaker 5: He does, he does it really well. There were so
- 29:38Speaker 5: many funny moments in this film. Yeah, and I'll never
- 29:41Speaker 5: forget the first time I saw them. Merge underneath that
- 29:45Speaker 5: logging truck, and I just thought that was so hilarious
- 29:50Speaker 5: and also so terrifying. It was so for the longest
- 29:55Speaker 5: time when I was a kid, like whenever we would
- 29:58Speaker 5: have to merge and there was like.
- 29:59Speaker 1: A semi is always a little nervous.
- 30:01Speaker 4: You're like, no, no, no, no.
- 30:02Speaker 5: No, underneath, don't underneath it, don't go wander.
- 30:06Speaker 4: That is amazing. I just thought that was really later
- 30:10Speaker 4: an homage in a Fast and the Furious franchise when
- 30:14Speaker 4: they went under.
- 30:15Speaker 3: The that's probably a little more c GI than but
- 30:20Speaker 3: you know, maybe, yeah, but that was impressive. It looked
- 30:23Speaker 3: it very good, very You didn't have much wiggle room.
- 30:28Speaker 1: You have to be right there, right.
- 30:31Speaker 5: But yeah, all the quirky family members so funny. I
- 30:35Speaker 5: always thought the yuppie neighbors were a great addition. They're
- 30:38Speaker 5: the best, so funny. The music with Ray Charles, maybe
- 30:43Speaker 5: the Staples, Bing Crosby so great.
- 30:48Speaker 1: My hot take and it's.
- 30:49Speaker 5: Kind of similar to your hot take, Bukes. What I
- 30:53Speaker 5: never thought was funny and always felt out of place
- 30:56Speaker 5: in the Vacation films just as a whole where the
- 30:59Speaker 5: moments were Ivy Chase is hitting on these young hot women.
- 31:03Speaker 5: When I was a kid, it always made me feel weird,
- 31:05Speaker 5: especially when I was younger. So like, he is this
- 31:10Speaker 5: like really great family man, but he's like pretty much like, yeah,
- 31:16Speaker 5: my wife is you know, either dead or divorced, Like
- 31:20Speaker 5: I just want to hit on you.
- 31:22Speaker 1: I always thought it was weird.
- 31:25Speaker 5: The way he studies, stutters over himself, and the things
- 31:27Speaker 5: he says in this one are hilarious. But like you know,
- 31:32Speaker 5: with all the Christy Brinkley ones.
- 31:34Speaker 1: Back in the day, I was just like, I don't.
- 31:37Speaker 4: I don't really get what's happening.
- 31:39Speaker 1: I don't get it. It just always seemed out of
- 31:41Speaker 1: place to me. Always.
- 31:42Speaker 4: Yeah. Also, his wife is Beverly D'Angelo.
- 31:45Speaker 1: For god's such a bod. What more do you want, babe?
- 31:48Speaker 1: She's so funny. Yeah. So I was always like, come on,
- 31:52Speaker 1: you're yeah, you're doing bev dirty not cool?
- 31:55Speaker 4: Agreed, Agreed, and don't you dare?
- 31:57Speaker 1: Don't you dare? Yeah, that's that's my hottest take.
- 32:00Speaker 4: I love that hot take, Bud hot take. All right, Chattle,
- 32:05Speaker 4: what you got?
- 32:06Speaker 3: Yeah, I uh, what's funny is I don't think I
- 32:09Speaker 3: watched it when I was younger really either. I probably
- 32:11Speaker 3: saw it but it became a thing later and especially
- 32:15Speaker 3: like a lot of a lot of my friends really
- 32:17Speaker 3: liked it. And that's and I realized, like started watching
- 32:20Speaker 3: it when it was old enough to get the jokes
- 32:22Speaker 3: probably you know what I mean, right, And then since
- 32:24Speaker 3: then now it's the whole thing where it's like it
- 32:26Speaker 3: kind of the same as all the other movies from
- 32:28Speaker 3: that era and John Hughes probably specifically, like it's very
- 32:32Speaker 3: nostalgic more than it is good. Like if you watch
- 32:36Speaker 3: it now, I can definitely see how it'd be like
- 32:39Speaker 3: that's not great, you know what I mean, Like because
- 32:41Speaker 3: it's a lot of like campy, stupid, cartoony jokes and
- 32:45Speaker 3: like the real dad joke lines and like, but then
- 32:48Speaker 3: some pretty savage like sarcasm and stuff. It's just is
- 32:51Speaker 3: like there's some stuff it's really really funny, but also
- 32:54Speaker 3: you can just kind of see, like, you know, a
- 32:57Speaker 3: person just watching it first time now would be confused
- 33:00Speaker 3: as to why we all love this so much? Sure,
- 33:02Speaker 3: And uh so that's probably my hot take because that's
- 33:04Speaker 3: pretty pretty campy, like when you go through and some
- 33:07Speaker 3: of the jokes are pretty dumb, but you know, if
- 33:10Speaker 3: you believe in it, you're just like it's it's you
- 33:13Speaker 3: put a lot of leeway in there because you're like,
- 33:15Speaker 3: I grew up with this and I love it. But
- 33:17Speaker 3: I do agree that that like lecherous kind of like, yeah,
- 33:20Speaker 3: my wife's dead, don't worry about it like that. Just
- 33:22Speaker 3: maybe that was just in the zeit guys at that
- 33:25Speaker 3: point or something, because I'm like, yeah, I don't know,
- 33:28Speaker 3: because they just kind of are like, yeah, but you're
- 33:30Speaker 3: a good family guy, like you would never do anything.
- 33:33Speaker 3: I mean, you know, so we all let it pass
- 33:35Speaker 3: because the scene is funnier than the content is depressing. Maybe,
- 33:41Speaker 3: but yeah, for me, it was just watching it again
- 33:43Speaker 3: and I was like, oh, yeah, it's pretty. There's some
- 33:46Speaker 3: there's some lameness in there that is overridden by my
- 33:50Speaker 3: desire to relive childhood, you know what I mean.
- 33:56Speaker 4: I love it.
- 33:57Speaker 1: Hot take, hot smoking, hot take, hot takes.
- 34:02Speaker 4: Well, let's go and talk about our favorite acting performance.
- 34:05Speaker 1: It's time to name the man.
- 34:11Speaker 3: Yeah, this was, Uh, this was tough because there's so
- 34:14Speaker 3: many because the supporting actor thing, there's a lot of slots.
- 34:18Speaker 3: I was like, all right, let's just I just landed
- 34:21Speaker 3: on Chevy because everything that he does, like there's so
- 34:24Speaker 3: many different levels of comedy that he's doing, because it's
- 34:28Speaker 3: everything from slapstick like literal cartoon like stepping on a
- 34:31Speaker 3: board in him and face and.
- 34:33Speaker 7: All of that over and over, laugh so hard, you know,
- 34:38Speaker 7: and just every physical bit that he does, and you're like,
- 34:41Speaker 7: there's incredible that you're able to do that.
- 34:46Speaker 4: Oh yeah, how he starts immediately after they that was
- 34:53Speaker 4: beautiful Clark Dog.
- 34:55Speaker 3: Yeah, he doesn't want to that.
- 34:57Speaker 1: We got to sing.
- 34:58Speaker 3: Yeah, and then like that too, like dad jokes. You know,
- 35:02Speaker 3: there's lots of lamb dad jokes, and then there's also
- 35:04Speaker 3: real savage sarcasm, so all of those are kind of
- 35:07Speaker 3: embedded this one. So like every little bit of different
- 35:10Speaker 3: kinds of funny, the stuttering on himself, all of that
- 35:12Speaker 3: is part of us. And you're like, yeah, it's like
- 35:15Speaker 3: he was very funny, and he just is consistent throughout
- 35:20Speaker 3: this whole movie. You're just like, what ridiculous person? Yeh
- 35:23Speaker 3: like it a lot, so yeah, I had to pick him.
- 35:26Speaker 5: I kind of forget how great his physical comedy is.
- 35:29Speaker 4: Same.
- 35:30Speaker 5: Yea, when after they get the tree and his fingers
- 35:34Speaker 5: are all sappy and he's like trying to go to
- 35:36Speaker 5: bed with.
- 35:37Speaker 3: The magas even do that like it's such a lamp,
- 35:41Speaker 3: such a lamp, all of it, And I'm like, how
- 35:45Speaker 3: do you just you know, and not laughing at it,
- 35:48Speaker 3: like God.
- 35:50Speaker 4: Just acting like it's normal. I'm going to go to
- 35:52Speaker 4: pat now.
- 35:52Speaker 3: That made me laugh so hard.
- 35:54Speaker 1: It was so good.
- 35:55Speaker 4: Yeah, I forgot about that bit tooling away there for sure.
- 36:00Speaker 1: Yeah, I was kind of with you.
- 36:06Speaker 5: But the thing that I think of with this movie
- 36:10Speaker 5: is Randy Quaid and I gotta I think I gotta
- 36:13Speaker 5: take Randy Quaid that as cousin Eddie. It's one of
- 36:18Speaker 5: the funniest characters of all time.
- 36:22Speaker 4: It isntil halfway through way.
- 36:24Speaker 5: Through, I looked, I was just like, he's we still
- 36:28Speaker 5: don't have cousin Eddie to do the same thing, but
- 36:31Speaker 5: he crushes his screen time if he is on there.
- 36:35Speaker 5: I mean, he would have been a perfect too, don't
- 36:36Speaker 5: get me wrong, But it's just I had to pick
- 36:39Speaker 5: him for the dude because that's.
- 36:40Speaker 1: What I think of when I think of this movie.
- 36:43Speaker 5: When I was just the other night on tour, there's
- 36:46Speaker 5: a guy in the front row in his Christmas sweater.
- 36:49Speaker 1: It just says, you serious.
- 36:51Speaker 3: Clark, and.
- 36:54Speaker 4: So good Clark.
- 36:58Speaker 1: That line kills believable. Yeah, yeah, I gotta pick Randy
- 37:04Speaker 1: Quid about it.
- 37:07Speaker 4: Man, those were the two people I was legit between.
- 37:10Speaker 1: For sure.
- 37:12Speaker 4: I think I'd probably give it to Chevy. I mean,
- 37:14Speaker 4: he's so wonderful, and I'm I one hundred percent agree
- 37:17Speaker 4: with both of you in that I forgot that he
- 37:20Speaker 4: was so physical, you know, as.
- 37:21Speaker 1: A younger man.
- 37:22Speaker 4: I don't know why necessarily, but really funny doesn't seem
- 37:27Speaker 4: like the kind of guy i'd probably want to hang
- 37:28Speaker 4: out with or work with. But he was, no doubt,
- 37:33Speaker 4: very charismatic and super super funny. So I'll just go
- 37:36Speaker 4: with him. But I'm with you, Rob, Brandy Quaid.
- 37:39Speaker 5: Is it's just a treat, well wonderful. Let's talk about
- 37:44Speaker 5: some of those other supporting characters.
- 37:46Speaker 1: Let's go to the Chwold Tachi.
- 37:52Speaker 3: I probably said it, Yeah, I mean, I like you.
- 37:55Speaker 3: I was on the fence about Chevy and Randy. I
- 37:58Speaker 3: started with Randy and I was like, you know what,
- 38:01Speaker 3: I gotta make him this. I gotta make him the
- 38:02Speaker 3: Tucci because like Chevy is consistent through the whole thing.
- 38:05Speaker 3: And then Randy comes in. But no doubt, he's what
- 38:08Speaker 3: I think about like the most. He's the one I
- 38:10Speaker 3: quote the most for sure, for just daily. I'm just
- 38:14Speaker 3: like I've said, you serious Clark a lot. I've said
- 38:16Speaker 3: I'm doing just fine Clark. I've said that I mean
- 38:19Speaker 3: a lot. And he is unbelievable. And I was saying,
- 38:24Speaker 3: he's like, as for I was, the movie is full
- 38:27Speaker 3: of cartoon, Like the entire cast is like they're a
- 38:30Speaker 3: car caricature of themselves, and he somehow goes above and
- 38:33Speaker 3: beyond and you still believe it. You're like, that guy
- 38:35Speaker 3: is dumb. He just is that, and I believe him
- 38:38Speaker 3: one hundred percent, standing up and pull it in the
- 38:41Speaker 3: you know, when she starts doing a pledge of allegiance,
- 38:44Speaker 3: like why does he he just goes so wonderful he is.
- 38:50Speaker 3: He's so slow and like real close talking and just
- 38:54Speaker 3: you know what he's gonna say, but he doesn't, and
- 38:56Speaker 3: you just you know it's gonna be funny. You know,
- 38:59Speaker 3: it's very very good. He's great.
- 39:01Speaker 4: Absolutely no social cues at all.
- 39:09Speaker 1: Yeah, ye, brilliant. Another guy who's turned out to be
- 39:18Speaker 1: pretty weird.
- 39:20Speaker 4: Yeah, this was a prophetic for him.
- 39:24Speaker 3: He's not acting, she just is.
- 39:27Speaker 1: He's just that guy.
- 39:30Speaker 5: So yeah, because I picked him for the dude I'm
- 39:35Speaker 5: thinking I'm gonna go Beverly D'Angelo. I've always been a
- 39:38Speaker 5: fan of hers. She was always having to play like
- 39:42Speaker 5: the straight man character, so Chevy could be crazy, but
- 39:46Speaker 5: I always liked her vibe. Such a babe, I thought
- 39:50Speaker 5: she she adds a lot.
- 39:52Speaker 1: To everything she's in. Yeah, she's just solid.
- 39:57Speaker 5: I mean you met her right, Yes, she was the
- 40:00Speaker 5: Patsy cent tribute. I didn't actually get to speak with her.
- 40:06Speaker 5: I was in a picture with her, but chance got.
- 40:09Speaker 1: To chat with her for a little bit. That's incredible,
- 40:12Speaker 1: very jealous.
- 40:13Speaker 3: Absolutely, yeah, you're like, yeah, yeah, first lady. Anyway, Beverly definitely,
- 40:19Speaker 3: what are you doing here?
- 40:20Speaker 1: What are you doing? Yeah?
- 40:25Speaker 4: Great?
- 40:26Speaker 3: What do you love that?
- 40:27Speaker 4: That's a great pick as well. I've always really liked
- 40:32Speaker 4: that Johnny Galecki kid.
- 40:37Speaker 1: I really liked him a lot.
- 40:39Speaker 5: I forgot that that's that was the same guy from
- 40:42Speaker 5: Like Me Too. Yeah, Big Bang and Big Bang And.
- 40:45Speaker 4: Yeah is that what the other one he was in?
- 40:48Speaker 7: Yeah?
- 40:49Speaker 4: Or maybe still is because I think that's still running.
- 40:51Speaker 4: But then the Connors, the Connors, Yes, sorry, they got
- 40:56Speaker 4: rid of her. She went off the deep end a
- 40:58Speaker 4: little bit or something. And then yeah, so I really
- 41:02Speaker 4: thought he was funny in this, and they definitely gave
- 41:05Speaker 4: him more to do than they did Juliette Lewis, who
- 41:09Speaker 4: just kind of though, yeah, she was.
- 41:11Speaker 3: Super funny and she went blanket a bit, so it
- 41:13Speaker 3: was like her.
- 41:14Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, totally, but.
- 41:17Speaker 1: It was funny. She was so annoyed by her brother
- 41:19Speaker 1: and just her weird family members.
- 41:22Speaker 4: Very real to life.
- 41:23Speaker 3: Right, that's a that's a teenage girl being annoyed at everybody.
- 41:28Speaker 4: Yeah, absolutely shout out to run her up. Doris Roberts.
- 41:33Speaker 4: I just love her. I think she's wonderful. Everybody loves
- 41:37Speaker 4: Raymond is what I mostly know her from, obviously, but.
- 41:40Speaker 1: She really.
- 41:42Speaker 3: Yeah for me. For me was the aunt what what's
- 41:50Speaker 3: the old old aunt, the one who actually does a
- 41:52Speaker 3: pledge of allegiance?
- 41:53Speaker 4: What's her?
- 41:53Speaker 3: Oh?
- 41:54Speaker 4: Yeah, what is her name?
- 41:56Speaker 3: Bethany in the movie Qustle. She was so funny throughout,
- 42:03Speaker 3: like just and I caught some things I have a
- 42:05Speaker 3: little section of, like stuff I missed, Like there's a
- 42:06Speaker 3: little minor details that they really nail and I just
- 42:09Speaker 3: didn't see it before because I'm too busy laughing at
- 42:12Speaker 3: whatever just happened. But they have stuff in the cracks
- 42:14Speaker 3: that you're like, well, that's also funny, you know. Yeah,
- 42:17Speaker 3: she had a couple of those, which maybe she's just,
- 42:20Speaker 3: you know, again a cartoon, but you're like, that's great,
- 42:23Speaker 3: great stuff, So.
- 42:24Speaker 4: Just keep forgetting everybody's names.
- 42:26Speaker 3: Oh yeah, who they are? Her shaking is her head
- 42:31Speaker 3: like he's trying to tell her something. She's like, I
- 42:33Speaker 3: don't she sank she didn't hear you, or I don't
- 42:36Speaker 3: understand or I don't know, maybe a little bit of both.
- 42:41Speaker 1: Yea, yeah, I love that.
- 42:43Speaker 4: That's great. And her husband was super fun too. What
- 42:45Speaker 4: is that William Hickey that super.
- 42:49Speaker 5: Fun crazy voice, Yeah, weird, Yeah yeah, the.
- 42:55Speaker 3: Blessing, Yeah yeah, yes, I love it. And that in
- 43:00Speaker 3: that time, how all those old people are probably like
- 43:02Speaker 3: fifty eight, you know what I mean, Like they just
- 43:05Speaker 3: look that.
- 43:07Speaker 4: Looked like a thousand. Yeah.
- 43:08Speaker 1: I just saw a.
- 43:10Speaker 5: Thing today that was like Danny Glover was too old
- 43:13Speaker 5: for this, and he was forty years old at that time.
- 43:16Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, oh my god.
- 43:19Speaker 4: And also I feel it it would also be yeah,
- 43:24Speaker 4: that's really funny.
- 43:25Speaker 3: Yeah it's not the same now.
- 43:27Speaker 4: I like that.
- 43:28Speaker 1: It's probably.
- 43:31Speaker 5: I mean Julia Louis Dreyfus as thee neighbor across is
- 43:35Speaker 5: so funny. She's the best both of those, and I
- 43:39Speaker 5: wasn't really super familiar with the other actor. I think
- 43:43Speaker 5: that's Nicholas Guest. Yeah, me neither, but they were they
- 43:48Speaker 5: added so much for me. I loved those It was
- 43:51Speaker 5: so much fun that they just got destroyed the whole time.
- 43:55Speaker 4: Of course it yeeah, like you did not feel bad
- 44:01Speaker 4: for them even a little.
- 44:02Speaker 3: No, that's what ever happened. Their house could burn down
- 44:06Speaker 3: on them, it would be fine, right maybe, yeah.
- 44:09Speaker 5: And then it's always great seeing Brian Doyle Murray.
- 44:13Speaker 1: He's he's wonderful.
- 44:18Speaker 5: Pretty small role, but he does that a lot in
- 44:20Speaker 5: a movie. He just comes in like towards the end
- 44:22Speaker 5: and just crushes Yea.
- 44:24Speaker 4: Honestly, that sounds like the life a little bit, like
- 44:26Speaker 4: it's pretty show up, get to do it, hang out,
- 44:29Speaker 4: get on like that sounds kind of me.
- 44:31Speaker 3: He can he can walk around them all be okay,
- 44:34Speaker 3: you know that'd be fine. That's the great.
- 44:38Speaker 4: Yep.
- 44:39Speaker 1: Those are the only ones that I threw down though.
- 44:41Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, pretty much the same. I mean, I thought
- 44:44Speaker 4: everyone did a pretty good job, but there's not like
- 44:47Speaker 4: people don't get a ton of room to operate in this.
- 44:50Speaker 4: It's a it's a lot of.
- 44:54Speaker 3: For that guy.
- 44:54Speaker 4: Yeah, totally, so I love it.
- 44:58Speaker 1: All.
- 44:58Speaker 4: Right, Well, let's move on. Let's talk about our favorite scene.
- 45:00Speaker 4: It's time to name the.
- 45:04Speaker 1: So is quite simple, really, dingusus.
- 45:07Speaker 2: I could talk about my dingas all night long.
- 45:13Speaker 3: Here's the thing. This is so hard because everything is great,
- 45:17Speaker 3: but agreed, I think I don't know I would land on.
- 45:25Speaker 3: It's like as soon as Eddie gets in there, like
- 45:27Speaker 3: everything is great, but I think all of the things
- 45:30Speaker 3: coming together in one amalgamation is like the dinner scene,
- 45:35Speaker 3: like everything from the turkey being horrible, right, that is
- 45:38Speaker 3: the moststic thing I've ever seen.
- 45:40Speaker 1: Is the smoke.
- 45:41Speaker 3: I'm like, this is truly disgusting and I love it.
- 45:45Speaker 3: And that and having them go around the table and
- 45:48Speaker 3: they're all doing different stuff and Eddie is just eating
- 45:50Speaker 3: from the thing, you know, putting it just like, yeah,
- 45:55Speaker 3: that's good. Save the next for people all that, uh
- 46:00Speaker 3: say the next the neck for me was ridiculous, and
- 46:04Speaker 3: yeah that's you know, they get to the blessing. All
- 46:07Speaker 3: of that stuff happens there, the just every you know,
- 46:10Speaker 3: the serious clark that happens there. So to me, that's
- 46:12Speaker 3: like the most memorable love that's like, that's encapsulates a lot.
- 46:18Speaker 3: There's other stuff, the sled thing, like, that's great, But
- 46:20Speaker 3: I think this brings everybody in and gives them something
- 46:23Speaker 3: to do that makes me laugh. So I think I
- 46:25Speaker 3: would land on the dinner scene.
- 46:28Speaker 5: I didn't have that, but because of how you explained it,
- 46:32Speaker 5: I would absolutely say that scene. I will agree with you.
- 46:36Speaker 5: It showcases every single character. It shows off each one
- 46:41Speaker 5: of their personalities.
- 46:42Speaker 1: That is brilliant.
- 46:43Speaker 4: Yeah that's a good call. And the dog shakes the
- 46:45Speaker 4: table and.
- 46:47Speaker 3: The noises are the worst thing that's ever happened. Weird. Yeah, yeah,
- 46:55Speaker 3: I got it. Please stop talking.
- 46:57Speaker 4: I don't there's one of these stuff.
- 47:00Speaker 1: Loved it a lot.
- 47:02Speaker 5: I had initially thought and I am fine picking that
- 47:05Speaker 5: as the dingus.
- 47:05Speaker 1: But just the lighting of the house.
- 47:10Speaker 4: I had that down to. Yeah, yeah, it's so great.
- 47:14Speaker 5: Uh, you know, it's not working. Then it's finally turning
- 47:16Speaker 5: on because somebody had put the garage light on and
- 47:21Speaker 5: they leave the garage. So then it ends and every
- 47:24Speaker 5: time it comes on it blinds the neighbors and ruins
- 47:27Speaker 5: their whole life.
- 47:30Speaker 1: It's a pretty great bit.
- 47:31Speaker 5: And then when it does finally get figured out, and
- 47:34Speaker 5: Beverly DiAngelo is like, oh, I know what it is.
- 47:37Speaker 5: Then they're all that whole scene. Yeah, and that's when
- 47:41Speaker 5: we first meet cousin Eddie.
- 47:43Speaker 1: I know. I love.
- 47:43Speaker 3: Yeah, that's that. We almost said it for that reason.
- 47:46Speaker 3: And I loved when I was like, you're a kid
- 47:48Speaker 3: watching it with your parents, and like my dad was
- 47:51Speaker 3: laughing really hard at the electrical like the meter, like
- 47:55Speaker 3: going like this, he knows that's a ridiculous thing. And
- 47:58Speaker 3: I'm laughing because he's laughing. I'm like, what does that mean?
- 48:00Speaker 3: And now I know. I was like, that's so funny.
- 48:04Speaker 3: And the auxiliary and new like.
- 48:06Speaker 7: You yeah, so good, Yeah, so funny.
- 48:11Speaker 3: So yeah. I love and the details of the thing,
- 48:14Speaker 3: like the entire all the plugs being plugged in, that
- 48:17Speaker 3: ridiculous amount of plugs and adapters and one socket is
- 48:21Speaker 3: so funny.
- 48:23Speaker 4: So silly.
- 48:24Speaker 3: Yeah, that's a good one.
- 48:27Speaker 4: I love both of those scenes, guys. I think I
- 48:29Speaker 4: would pick the dinner table scene too, but I like
- 48:31Speaker 4: both of them so much for all the reasons you
- 48:33Speaker 4: guys said. I think it's just really fun, kind of
- 48:36Speaker 4: a sweet one. I love when they and I always
- 48:39Speaker 4: have I love when they read the night twas the
- 48:41Speaker 4: Night before Christmas and they're all just there. It's like
- 48:44Speaker 4: a nice little family that's nice and silly. And then
- 48:48Speaker 4: the boss gets wheeled in, which is funny.
- 48:52Speaker 3: That's unbelievable.
- 48:54Speaker 4: And then one that we mentioned but I'm gonna throw
- 48:57Speaker 4: it out there too, just as an honorable mention. The
- 48:59Speaker 4: this led scene.
- 49:00Speaker 5: Is so so funny, dude, it's so great. Every time
- 49:05Speaker 5: I've sledded since then, I've thought of it, especially if
- 49:08Speaker 5: it's like one of those round saucer ones.
- 49:12Speaker 4: I still have never seen a metal round I haven't made.
- 49:15Speaker 1: Right, Like no that movie.
- 49:18Speaker 3: Yeah, they're like, well I can't do that anymore. Yeah, yeah,
- 49:22Speaker 3: I uh that and that will hear in a minute
- 49:27Speaker 3: that that that holds one of the quotes my favorite
- 49:29Speaker 3: quotes of all time is in that scene.
- 49:31Speaker 4: So I love it.
- 49:32Speaker 3: We'll get to that. But man, the cat.
- 49:34Speaker 5: Getting electrically all this stuff with the tree that blowing
- 49:39Speaker 5: up lewis.
- 49:42Speaker 1: The cat.
- 49:43Speaker 5: It's hard because there's so many tiny scenes that are
- 49:47Speaker 5: so funny.
- 49:48Speaker 4: That's hard because I also like the attic thing. I
- 49:50Speaker 4: think it's kind of weird and crazy, and there's some
- 49:53Speaker 4: great physical comedy there that we've talked about, and he's.
- 49:56Speaker 5: Got to wear the fur coat and the your town weird.
- 50:02Speaker 1: From the twenty cap or whatever.
- 50:05Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, yeah, and then he sits right on the
- 50:08Speaker 4: door for something for no.
- 50:10Speaker 3: Reason, and that's another like adult here, and my dad's
- 50:13Speaker 3: laughing at him walking between the boards. He's like, don't
- 50:16Speaker 3: do that. Don't do that, right, don't don't do that.
- 50:19Speaker 3: He was like, he would go so far as to
- 50:21Speaker 3: tell me. He's like, hey, we're in the adict don't
- 50:22Speaker 3: do that. Don't do that, dude on the boards, don't
- 50:26Speaker 3: don't do that.
- 50:27Speaker 4: Also very relatable that he finds a present he never
- 50:30Speaker 4: gave to her in his present spot.
- 50:33Speaker 5: Oh yeah, that's Happy Mother Today eighty three so.
- 50:39Speaker 3: Great.
- 50:43Speaker 1: Yeah, there were so many.

- 50:46Speaker 1: Kind of forgot about the cartoon.
- 50:50Speaker 5: Yeah, I forgot about the cartoon and that was kind
- 50:53Speaker 5: of awesome.
- 50:54Speaker 4: Yeah this movie. Yeah, but I didn't look that up,
- 51:00Speaker 4: but like I meant to, but he must have, right.
- 51:03Speaker 5: Yeah, the Mavis Staples Christmas Vacations, so.
- 51:06Speaker 4: I love it.
- 51:07Speaker 1: Yeah, so great.
- 51:08Speaker 5: Because Lindsey Buckingham did Holiday Road for like the other ones.
- 51:14Speaker 4: Yeah. Actually there's trivia that this is the only one
- 51:16Speaker 4: holiday roads not in yeah or something of all of them.
- 51:20Speaker 3: Which I will catch myself singing that just randomly for
- 51:23Speaker 3: no reason. I'm just saying absolutely, Yeah.
- 51:27Speaker 1: I realized I know none of the words except for
- 51:30Speaker 1: holiday that I know.
- 51:37Speaker 3: Those the mark of a true fella singers that we
- 51:40Speaker 3: know all the background. I don't know any leads.
- 51:44Speaker 1: What couldn't tell you about Jack.
- 51:46Speaker 3: Nimble jack something I don't know.
- 51:48Speaker 4: Jackie Jackie queek.
- 51:50Speaker 1: Yeah, there you go.
- 51:52Speaker 4: I just would just say that over and over.
- 51:54Speaker 3: Yeah, I just assumed it was Kenny Loggins. I don't know,
- 51:58Speaker 3: it feels like Kenny Loggins.
- 52:00Speaker 1: That is Kenny Loggins. Yeah. But them going and getting
- 52:04Speaker 1: the tree that was the other.
- 52:06Speaker 4: That's a good, pretty.
- 52:07Speaker 3: Great just the roots out of the bat Like, how
- 52:11Speaker 3: did the driving the roots back of the car?
- 52:17Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 52:18Speaker 3: Man, that may wonderful.
- 52:20Speaker 4: We have trivia about that later.
- 52:24Speaker 3: Teaser.
- 52:25Speaker 1: Yeah, well, I think we could even go duel Dingus
- 52:29Speaker 1: and do the dinner scene and the lighting of the house.
- 52:32Speaker 3: I I love a dual.
- 52:35Speaker 4: It's the giving season, let's make sure everyone gets a
- 52:37Speaker 4: little bit.
- 52:38Speaker 1: Yeah, let's give them an extra Dingus. That's what I say.
- 52:42Speaker 4: Wants it?
- 52:43Speaker 1: Yep?
- 52:43Speaker 3: Bang bang dinged about that?
- 52:45Speaker 5: Okay, Yes, let's do some of these quotes, a lot
- 52:49Speaker 5: of funny ones.
- 52:50Speaker 1: Let's go show me the money, show.
- 53:00Speaker 3: Show me the cash bills? Was that not it? What
- 53:06Speaker 3: that wasn't the quote? Show me the cash money bills?
- 53:09Speaker 4: Cash? Yeah, sure, tender, go ahead? Why don't you say?
- 53:13Speaker 1: I swan?
- 53:16Speaker 3: I love genuine confusion. Awkward confusion is my favorite.
- 53:20Speaker 1: Awkward confusion.
- 53:22Speaker 5: What was your favorite quote, the one that you had
- 53:25Speaker 5: said from that one scene you were talking.
- 53:28Speaker 3: About my Yeah, that is going to be well, you know,
- 53:31Speaker 3: that metal plate in my head had to have a
- 53:34Speaker 3: replace because every time Catherine reaped up the microwave, I'd
- 53:37Speaker 3: piss my pants and forget who I was for a
- 53:39Speaker 3: half hour or so. So I wasn't ready for any
- 53:44Speaker 3: part of it going and got it or so I
- 53:48Speaker 3: was out of control laughing, Oh, so fun forget who
- 53:51Speaker 3: I was? I don't know that's vailable to say. And
- 53:55Speaker 3: how do you say that was straight faced? And how
- 53:57Speaker 3: does anyone participating not les wonderful off? It's so funny,
- 54:01Speaker 3: so funny. Oh that is frush it to me?
- 54:04Speaker 4: For who I was for a half hour or so?
- 54:08Speaker 3: How would you know? And you remember he doesn't.
- 54:12Speaker 4: So good.
- 54:14Speaker 3: Oh there's a idea. You couldn't hear a dumb truck
- 54:21Speaker 3: if it's rope driving through a night through glits and
- 54:24Speaker 3: plant Yeah, yeah, that's so funny.
- 54:30Speaker 1: Squeaky sound.
- 54:31Speaker 3: Yeah, why would she hear it? Like there's like she's
- 54:34Speaker 3: not the one hearing that.
- 54:37Speaker 4: It's so good.
- 54:38Speaker 3: I mean everything said when he's freaking out later, But
- 54:41Speaker 3: for me, the we're gonna press on and we're gonna
- 54:43Speaker 3: have the hap happiest Christmas since being Crosby tap dance
- 54:46Speaker 3: with dannyk Like that's the one time or you know
- 54:51Speaker 3: that makes it the thirteen, the PG thirteen in the movie, right,
- 54:54Speaker 3: like it's worth it, that is worth it, worth it. Yeah,
- 54:59Speaker 3: And of course the kids heard on the news Airline
- 55:01Speaker 3: pilot spotted Santa sat waiting New York.
- 55:05Speaker 4: Serious.
- 55:05Speaker 3: Clark's guine so genuine, it's like there's some true commitment.
- 55:11Speaker 3: He believes it. He's like, whoa.
- 55:13Speaker 1: I love Jem's reaction too, He's just like, dude, you are.
- 55:18Speaker 4: So much away.
- 55:20Speaker 3: He's just not Yeah, I love that, uh one that
- 55:25Speaker 3: crushed me. Also, Eddie's arrival in him this is our
- 55:30Speaker 3: bride and joy snots and pretty name it. Yeah, the hole.
- 55:37Speaker 3: You've got a little bit of Mississippi Leghound in him.
- 55:40Speaker 3: Why does he say that? Ye, if he just starts
- 55:43Speaker 3: laying into you, it's best just letting.
- 55:45Speaker 1: It's the best to just let him finishes.
- 55:48Speaker 3: Be happier to have short pants on. There's so many
- 55:51Speaker 3: problems with he is the national treasure.
- 55:55Speaker 1: That guy.
- 55:57Speaker 4: That's great.
- 55:57Speaker 1: Yeah, that's Mississippi Leghound.
- 55:59Speaker 3: Is Like everything that he says makes me laugh. Him
- 56:03Speaker 3: outside and the like the outfit he's wearing while he's
- 56:05Speaker 3: emptying the toilet into the like the beer cigar, the
- 56:09Speaker 3: stupid hat and the shorts. And yeah, checked Christmas, We
- 56:17Speaker 3: checked our We checked our manny Man.
- 56:21Speaker 4: Brandon Miller must send me that quote six times something,
- 56:26Speaker 4: that little gift, that's my favorite.
- 56:29Speaker 3: Yeah, it's so good. I will leave it there because
- 56:32Speaker 3: I'm sure there's so many more.
- 56:35Speaker 5: Yeah, I'm pretty sure fool has to be the one
- 56:40Speaker 5: that everybody thinks.
- 56:41Speaker 4: I left the line before it too. What are you
- 56:43Speaker 4: looking at, Clark? Oh, the silent majesty of a winter's morn,
- 56:47Speaker 4: the cool, the clean, cool chill of the holiday air,
- 56:50Speaker 4: and an a in his bathrobe emptying a chemical toilet
- 56:53Speaker 4: into my super Yeah that's good.
- 56:57Speaker 7: Oh.
- 57:00Speaker 5: I love when Todd and Margot are outside.
- 57:05Speaker 1: Hey, Griswold, where do you think you're gonna put a tree?
- 57:07Speaker 1: That big? Bend over? And I'll show you.
- 57:10Speaker 5: You got a lot of nerve talking to me like that, Griswold,
- 57:14Speaker 5: I wasn't talking to you.
- 57:18Speaker 3: Ye, not coming good.
- 57:20Speaker 1: I loved that.
- 57:21Speaker 5: Oh when he's talking to Ruby Sue the little girl. Oh,
- 57:27Speaker 5: it's like Christmas is almost here. He's like nervous or excited. Bricks,
- 57:32Speaker 5: you shouldn't use that word. Sorry, rocks great.
- 57:40Speaker 1: A lot. I do love that. What were the other ones?
- 57:48Speaker 5: Oh, when when they're doing the the Christmas lighting of
- 57:53Speaker 5: the house, all the lights and his father in law
- 57:57Speaker 5: just like the little lights they aren't twinkling.
- 58:00Speaker 1: I know.
- 58:01Speaker 5: Thanks for noticing another one from that very first. When
- 58:10Speaker 5: they're going out to get the tree, he's like, She's like,
- 58:13Speaker 5: Clark Audrey's frozen from the waist down. He's like, that's
- 58:16Speaker 5: all part of the experience, honey, she'll look.
- 58:20Speaker 4: At it later, Clark, her eyes are frozen.
- 58:23Speaker 1: Right, you can take somebody, let's see.
- 58:29Speaker 4: And why is the carponall wet? Todd, I don't know, Margo, Yes, yes,
- 58:35Speaker 4: I don't know, Marco, I don't know comes up, you know, yes,
- 58:42Speaker 4: I don't know. Margo. Recall really fun like that one
- 58:47Speaker 4: a lot. Let's see, uh I think it's Eddie. Oh yeah.
- 58:52Speaker 4: It's like, yeah, she's ugly, a sin but sweet out
- 58:55Speaker 4: and a hell of a good cook. And then Clark
- 58:59Speaker 4: is like, can I feel your egnog for you? Eddie
- 59:01Speaker 4: gets something to eat, drive you out to the middle
- 59:03Speaker 4: of nowhere, leave you for dead?
- 59:05Speaker 1: Yeah, like his little.
- 59:07Speaker 3: All and he's like, I'm doing just fine, just fine.
- 59:13Speaker 3: I've said that lots.
- 59:15Speaker 4: Yeah. Also the cop at the end when he's like
- 59:20Speaker 4: he finds out that the boss has like just stopped
- 59:23Speaker 4: their bonuses. He's like, that's pretty low, mister. If I
- 59:27Speaker 4: had a rubber hose, i'd beat you. And then he
- 59:30Speaker 4: just gets cut off.
- 59:31Speaker 3: He's good, lord, why did that happen? Yeah?
- 59:34Speaker 4: I loved it.
- 59:35Speaker 1: It's so funny. It's like a player gets one line.
- 59:39Speaker 3: You know, yeah that thing.
- 59:42Speaker 4: And I also I know that the scene is weird
- 59:44Speaker 4: because he's hitting on a girl.
- 59:46Speaker 1: But everything he says there is hilarious.
- 59:48Speaker 4: It's so funny, and that the last line really got me.
- 59:51Speaker 4: Just like, tis the season to being married, and she
- 59:54Speaker 4: just goes, well, that's my name. He's like, no, it's
- 59:58Speaker 4: a hard cut. So that's that was a perfect hard cut, some.
- 1:00:03Speaker 3: Real nice, real nice.
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: Can you rusty or whatever it is?
- 1:00:07Speaker 4: It's so good.
- 1:00:09Speaker 3: Bit yeah that entire thing. Maybe laughed.
- 1:00:14Speaker 5: Yeah, oh, I was just smelling, smiling. I was just
- 1:00:17Speaker 5: blouse browsing.
- 1:00:18Speaker 3: Yes, yeah, so good then and him laughing, laughing that
- 1:00:23Speaker 3: just nipple. There is a nip in the air though.
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: There really is.
- 1:00:30Speaker 5: If there any less Hooter than the hotter than they are, can.
- 1:00:35Speaker 3: I take something out for you?
- 1:00:40Speaker 4: What was that? What I missed?
- 1:00:41Speaker 3: Yes, take something out for you?
- 1:00:43Speaker 5: And he he just miles and laught, just cannot play
- 1:00:49Speaker 5: it cool. Reminded me of like Steve corral in the
- 1:00:55Speaker 5: office when they go to Hooters.
- 1:00:57Speaker 4: It's like like that, yeah, so good, so so good.
- 1:01:04Speaker 4: I also love when he's freaking out about his boss.
- 1:01:08Speaker 4: I think it's when he gets the Jelly a month club,
- 1:01:10Speaker 4: which honestly good gift, but when.
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: He's like, hallelujah, holy where's the tile and all? Yeah,
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: oh yeah, after the.
- 1:01:20Speaker 4: Rant, Yeah, he's got the whole rant, which is really good.
- 1:01:23Speaker 3: Ran gat is great and I wanted but I didn't
- 1:01:26Speaker 3: want to write that long, so yeah, left it. I
- 1:01:29Speaker 3: was like, just see the rant.
- 1:01:30Speaker 4: We know it's just freaking out.
- 1:01:32Speaker 3: Yeah, the holy holy my favorite part of that. It's great,
- 1:01:38Speaker 3: really good. Sounds like a real line that happened. Like
- 1:01:42Speaker 3: he has an actual headache. I'm trying to do that scene. Yeah,
- 1:01:45Speaker 3: He's like, we got it right, Great, Great, I need
- 1:01:48Speaker 3: to I need Yeah, man.
- 1:01:52Speaker 4: I think that was all the ones I wrote down, though.
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: Yeah, I didn't do you have any more Chatham.
- 1:01:57Speaker 3: Uh, that whole bit where he's greeting the people in
- 1:02:01Speaker 3: the office, like as they're walking into the Merry Christmas,
- 1:02:04Speaker 3: Merry Christmas, kiss my ass happy. That's so funny to
- 1:02:11Speaker 3: throw that. I loved all of those, but.
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: A lot.
- 1:02:16Speaker 3: Yeah, that's pretty much. Yeah, that's that's all of it.
- 1:02:21Speaker 3: We nailed a lot of it everything. I mean, there's
- 1:02:23Speaker 3: so many good things.
- 1:02:25Speaker 4: Yeah, and so many of them are said like under
- 1:02:28Speaker 4: their breath that they're sometimes hard to catch, you know.
- 1:02:30Speaker 3: I loved all of the all of the old people stuff,
- 1:02:34Speaker 3: the information they gave when they enter the door, doors closed,
- 1:02:37Speaker 3: took a pint of fluid out of my back, yeah,
- 1:02:40Speaker 3: like like it's just does disinfect it whatever, you know,
- 1:02:43Speaker 3: they're just like old people's stuff, and.
- 1:02:47Speaker 5: It's funny how that happens. They all the ailments. The
- 1:02:51Speaker 5: other thing that they could have thrown in is like,
- 1:02:54Speaker 5: oh you know, uh.
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: Jeanie died.
- 1:02:59Speaker 4: Oh yeah, got the cancer.
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: Yeah that.
- 1:03:03Speaker 3: Yeah, before the Do you know about some people that
- 1:03:07Speaker 3: you don't you've met, you never?
- 1:03:08Speaker 4: Yeah, maybe some classmate you haven't thought about in twenty years.
- 1:03:12Speaker 4: Did you hear Bruce split up from his wife?
- 1:03:15Speaker 3: Yeah, like half indicated, and you should probably spend some
- 1:03:18Speaker 3: time finding that person exacting.
- 1:03:21Speaker 4: Yeah, she's a doctor.
- 1:03:23Speaker 5: Now, you know, you hit a certain age and you
- 1:03:26Speaker 5: got to get that information out.
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: Yeah, people need to know it.
- 1:03:30Speaker 3: Yeah, there's there's an old person. I'm my own almanac
- 1:03:34Speaker 3: of information, like here's what you need to know, here's
- 1:03:37Speaker 3: you missed, all.
- 1:03:39Speaker 4: Right, catch me up. Yeah that's funny.
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: I love that.
- 1:03:44Speaker 4: And they're just complaining the whole time.
- 1:03:45Speaker 3: Oh yeah, it's good playing. And then they sleep. They
- 1:03:48Speaker 3: go to sleep immediately in any chair anywhere. Just yeah,
- 1:03:53Speaker 3: like I already relate to that. So I don't I
- 1:03:56Speaker 3: don't love watching that now.
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: I don't love that part. I don't like that a
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: little too close.
- 1:04:02Speaker 3: And real quick. The when they're the Cat and the Present.
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: Oh, that scene.
- 1:04:10Speaker 3: Makes me laugh so hard, like the edit of the Cat,
- 1:04:14Speaker 3: like half meals, but he stops it and the cat
- 1:04:17Speaker 3: mile stops too. So funny to me. That made me
- 1:04:20Speaker 3: laugh a lot. She wrapped up her damn cat. She
- 1:04:23Speaker 3: gets confused, Yeah, yeah, that's good.
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: This one's leaking.
- 1:04:28Speaker 3: Yeah, and then tasting it. Yeah of course, off her
- 1:04:33Speaker 3: fingering like she's related. Okay, that's great.
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: All right, well let's let's keep on moving. Let's go
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: to MUO moments.
- 1:04:46Speaker 3: Long men also cry strong Man.
- 1:04:51Speaker 5: Also, I was not feeling particularly sentimental during this water
- 1:04:59Speaker 5: so I I didn't do a great job at this.
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: I feel like this is going to be on me.
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: I picked zero.
- 1:05:05Speaker 5: I do think that you probably did at some point,
- 1:05:09Speaker 5: because there's some sentimental points. I just couldn't really pick
- 1:05:13Speaker 5: them out. What do you think, Shotam.
- 1:05:15Speaker 3: I think the stuck in the attic watching the movies
- 1:05:18Speaker 3: would be the one. Yeah, when he's watching the film
- 1:05:21Speaker 3: and the Ray Charles songs on and that's an actual
- 1:05:23Speaker 3: good moment, like you're like, oh, that's nice and touching,
- 1:05:25Speaker 3: and you know he couldn't get into.
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: It because that get up was so funny.
- 1:05:30Speaker 3: Yeah, you have to close your eyes a little bit,
- 1:05:32Speaker 3: but I could.
- 1:05:33Speaker 1: I do get what you're saying, and I bet he
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: probably did.
- 1:05:35Speaker 4: That's a good call, Like, I also get what you're saying,
- 1:05:38Speaker 4: but I didn't. I didn't cry.
- 1:05:40Speaker 3: I would think that'd be the only thing close, Like
- 1:05:43Speaker 3: maybe when the lights don't work at the first time
- 1:05:45Speaker 3: and he feels bad about that, But that's there's nothing
- 1:05:48Speaker 3: else that's even close to sad.
- 1:05:49Speaker 1: But then it's so funny because he's like rusty, we
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: checked him, all right, He's like, well, should we keep
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: going or whatever, and then he lists off all the things. Yes,
- 1:05:59Speaker 1: I'm not going to pay the I.
- 1:06:00Speaker 4: Gotta get out of it. Yeah, it's so funny. No,
- 1:06:04Speaker 4: this was his hero for me.
- 1:06:06Speaker 3: Yeah, I got it.
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: Surprising, surprising, nailed. All right, we go ahead and do.
- 1:06:14Speaker 4: Some movie trivia. Well, let's see, after failing to get
- 1:06:18Speaker 4: the Christmas lights to work one last time, Clark Griswold
- 1:06:21Speaker 4: takes out his frustration on the plastic decorations in the
- 1:06:25Speaker 4: front yard. Chevy Chase actually broke his pinky finger while
- 1:06:28Speaker 4: punching Santa Claus in that scene, and he resorts to
- 1:06:31Speaker 4: kicking and clubbing the decorations after that the film kept rolling,
- 1:06:35Speaker 4: and that's the take that they used.
- 1:06:37Speaker 3: That's incredible.
- 1:06:38Speaker 4: So when he's like bashing them and kicking him and stuff,
- 1:06:41Speaker 4: that's because he.
- 1:06:41Speaker 3: Broke his Wow, oh my gosh. Even harder to work
- 1:06:47Speaker 3: with after.
- 1:06:48Speaker 4: That, probably probably maybe easier after this one. Beverly DiAngelo
- 1:06:53Speaker 4: improvised grabbing Chevy Chase's crotch when the swat team holds
- 1:06:57Speaker 4: up the house.
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: Went for it.
- 1:07:00Speaker 4: She really was in there. She later said she did
- 1:07:03Speaker 4: it only on one take, on the off chance that
- 1:07:05Speaker 4: would make the final cut, which is what happened.
- 1:07:08Speaker 3: It is great putting it back after shaking the hand, Yeah.
- 1:07:11Speaker 4: Really, yeah, yeah, doesn't break eye contact. Welcome to our Home.
- 1:07:16Speaker 3: Yeah, that's great.
- 1:07:18Speaker 4: I love that. So that may questal. This was her
- 1:07:22Speaker 4: final film, but I just thought it was interesting. Her
- 1:07:25Speaker 4: career began in nineteen thirty and she was the voice
- 1:07:28Speaker 4: of Betty Boop. That's great, that's pretty wild. That's pretty well.
- 1:07:32Speaker 3: But I thought that was eighty six, eight nine. That's crazy.
- 1:07:38Speaker 3: That like nineteen thirty to nineteen. That's a long year.
- 1:07:42Speaker 1: That's great, a long career.
- 1:07:44Speaker 4: Let's see, it's rumored that Clark's rant about his boss,
- 1:07:47Speaker 4: mister Shirley was ad libbed. While this is somewhat true,
- 1:07:50Speaker 4: cast members not on screen who were facing Chevy Chase
- 1:07:54Speaker 4: each had a sign hanging around their neck. Yeah, that
- 1:07:57Speaker 4: had one word written on it, and some of those
- 1:08:00Speaker 4: were the adjectives he used to describe his boss. So
- 1:08:02Speaker 4: it was like not completely scripted out, but he kind
- 1:08:06Speaker 4: of had some things that were spurring him on. And
- 1:08:08Speaker 4: I thought that was really fun.
- 1:08:10Speaker 3: Yeah. I can't even imagine just rambling that off without
- 1:08:15Speaker 3: some sort.
- 1:08:15Speaker 4: Of it's too many things right, and.
- 1:08:19Speaker 3: I don't know, insane, pretty cool.
- 1:08:22Speaker 4: I liked that they had. That was a that's a
- 1:08:24Speaker 4: fun way to do it. I like, yeah, I thought
- 1:08:27Speaker 4: this was neat the old Dodge pickup that tailgated Clark.
- 1:08:31Speaker 4: That's a good scene too. We didn't talk about that stuff.
- 1:08:35Speaker 4: I guess we talked about the truck they went under.
- 1:08:37Speaker 4: But anyway, Uh, that old Dodge pickup. Uh, it was
- 1:08:42Speaker 4: in a previous movie. It was Kurt Russell's work truck
- 1:08:45Speaker 4: and Overboard and it was in as well. I don't know.
- 1:08:50Speaker 4: I don't know what they live is, but I definitely know.
- 1:08:52Speaker 3: I know, and it's wonderful, is it?
- 1:08:55Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 1:08:56Speaker 3: I think it's the is that the Ronnie ron BoNT,
- 1:08:59Speaker 3: like the wrestler guy that did the Alien movie, Roddy Piper.
- 1:09:03Speaker 4: Yeah, is that that picked a mask?
- 1:09:07Speaker 1: That's that?
- 1:09:07Speaker 3: Is that that?
- 1:09:08Speaker 1: Yeah, that's gotta be that.
- 1:09:09Speaker 4: I think it is.
- 1:09:10Speaker 3: Actually, it's unbelievable.
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: I don't think Roddy Piper did anything else.
- 1:09:13Speaker 3: No, but that's unfortunate that he didn't come. He must
- 1:09:17Speaker 3: have on a bubble gum. That's such a wine.
- 1:09:20Speaker 4: Yeah, that's that's really great. But I thought that was fun.
- 1:09:23Speaker 4: They used the same truck. Similarly, the shoes that cousin
- 1:09:28Speaker 4: Eddie wears are the same ones that he gave Clark
- 1:09:30Speaker 4: as a gift in the original Vacation movie, which I
- 1:09:33Speaker 4: thought I didn't know.
- 1:09:38Speaker 1: Yeah, I love that.
- 1:09:41Speaker 3: Seriously, how often are you looking at man's shoes?
- 1:09:44Speaker 1: No?
- 1:09:47Speaker 3: Right, just prepping for the game.
- 1:09:49Speaker 1: They were magic shoes. I could do a shoe one too, I.
- 1:09:52Speaker 3: Could do was running.
- 1:09:56Speaker 4: Shoes. Even before the cameras could roll, Origin director Chris
- 1:10:01Speaker 4: Columbus came to the realization he just couldn't work with
- 1:10:04Speaker 4: the difficult Chevy Chase after meeting him, so, even though
- 1:10:07Speaker 4: he desperately needed the job at this point in his career,
- 1:10:10Speaker 4: Columbus decided to quit the project. He was it was
- 1:10:13Speaker 4: you know, he was going to be screwed after that,
- 1:10:15Speaker 4: but John Hughes brought him back to direct Home Alone. Yeah,
- 1:10:19Speaker 4: became a massive hit a year later, earning over six
- 1:10:21Speaker 4: times the amount of money with a budget of ten
- 1:10:25Speaker 4: million dollars. Lest that's pretty crazy.
- 1:10:28Speaker 3: This is crazy. You just kind of well they always
- 1:10:32Speaker 3: say that, like actor actors, So like, yeah, if you
- 1:10:34Speaker 3: you don't fret about the stuff he missed, because it
- 1:10:37Speaker 3: would keep you from the stuff, right, get like you
- 1:10:40Speaker 3: just you never know. Yeah, that's wild.
- 1:10:42Speaker 4: Though, But then to dovetail off that one after so
- 1:10:46Speaker 4: Chris Chris Columbus and John Hughes both declined to direct
- 1:10:50Speaker 4: the film. Chevy Chase suggested to the writer producer Hughes
- 1:10:55Speaker 4: that he contacted George Roy Hill to direct, because Chase
- 1:10:58Speaker 4: had worked with Hill previous year on Funny Farm and
- 1:11:02Speaker 4: said that he was the best director he'd ever worked with. However,
- 1:11:05Speaker 4: following Funny Farm and its mediocre reception from audiences and critics,
- 1:11:11Speaker 4: Hill retired from directing and turned down the offer to
- 1:11:14Speaker 4: direct this. That's rough, So he can't be easy to
- 1:11:19Speaker 4: work with, right, If.
- 1:11:20Speaker 3: All these people yeah, No, it's got it as evident.
- 1:11:23Speaker 3: If somebody needs the money, they're like, I just can't.
- 1:11:25Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm going.
- 1:11:27Speaker 1: To probably retire because of you.
- 1:11:30Speaker 4: Right, Yeah, I'd rather do literally anything else.
- 1:11:33Speaker 3: Thanks. It's because of the reception. It's not at all
- 1:11:36Speaker 3: because of hard you are right.
- 1:11:40Speaker 4: Oh, this was the one we talked about earlier. So
- 1:11:42Speaker 4: the deleted post post credits scene would have had the
- 1:11:46Speaker 4: blow the blow molde Santa sleigh that is blasted into
- 1:11:50Speaker 4: the sky by the sewer explosion. It was gonna Oh,
- 1:11:53Speaker 4: this is a different one, but it was that Santa
- 1:11:55Speaker 4: was gonna come down and crash into Todd Margo's bedroom
- 1:11:59Speaker 4: roof after Todd makes before they fall perfect. So they
- 1:12:04Speaker 4: were going to come back to it one more time,
- 1:12:05Speaker 4: but they didn't.
- 1:12:08Speaker 1: They should have.
- 1:12:09Speaker 4: Yeah, remember what the other one was. I don't not
- 1:12:11Speaker 4: think I wrote it down. What did I say there
- 1:12:15Speaker 4: was gonna be Oh there was a deleted scene with
- 1:12:17Speaker 4: them at the tree farm where they were trying to
- 1:12:19Speaker 4: talk uh to the person selling trees and Clark says
- 1:12:23Speaker 4: something kind of crappy to him, and so he's like, no,
- 1:12:27Speaker 4: I don't have a saw, but I do have a
- 1:12:29Speaker 4: shovel and that's how they dig up the tree. But
- 1:12:33Speaker 4: I actually think it's better to just cut to it
- 1:12:34Speaker 4: with the roots and everything.
- 1:12:36Speaker 3: And you know, it's just so it does and you
- 1:12:42Speaker 3: have that question that makes it funnier. You're like, how
- 1:12:44Speaker 3: did they do that?
- 1:12:45Speaker 4: Though it's a little big clerk. Really, let's see, Oh
- 1:13:00Speaker 4: I thought this was fun. So it's this movie set
- 1:13:03Speaker 4: in the Chicago area, but the movie was filmed in
- 1:13:06Speaker 4: Burbank at Warner Brothers Studios. Some outdoor shots, though, were
- 1:13:10Speaker 4: shot in Breckenridge, Colorado, chosen because it usually has heavy
- 1:13:14Speaker 4: snowfall during that season. However, when they arrived. When they
- 1:13:18Speaker 4: arrived there, the production production team faced a snowless situation.
- 1:13:23Speaker 4: They had to bring in a convoy of trucks to
- 1:13:26Speaker 4: transport snow to the specific locations for them to film,
- 1:13:30Speaker 4: and then after they did that, they experienced a massive
- 1:13:33Speaker 4: snowfall of ten feet in three days. Wow, which then
- 1:13:37Speaker 4: caused other problems for the crew as they had a
- 1:13:40Speaker 4: hard time getting people to the locations to actually shoot.
- 1:13:43Speaker 1: Wow.
- 1:13:44Speaker 3: That's funny, nightmare. That is great. Yeah, you guys can
- 1:13:48Speaker 3: probably relate right doing Christmas videos out and you know,
- 1:13:53Speaker 3: you want to do a bunch.
- 1:13:53Speaker 1: More of those out in the colder do you want to.
- 1:13:55Speaker 3: Just probably not see that?
- 1:13:59Speaker 5: Well, remember the first time that we decided to not
- 1:14:03Speaker 5: do a Christmas video in Minnesota.
- 1:14:05Speaker 1: We were like, let's do it in Nashville.
- 1:14:07Speaker 5: It was like the coldest weekend national's ever experienced ever, Like,
- 1:14:12Speaker 5: what is horrorble.
- 1:14:14Speaker 3: To bring it with you?
- 1:14:15Speaker 1: Yeah, it was awful.
- 1:14:16Speaker 3: That makes me laugh.
- 1:14:19Speaker 4: Oh, you guys did the one in Colorado or something,
- 1:14:21Speaker 4: and wasn't it super crazy cold that when.
- 1:14:24Speaker 1: You guys were out there, that was super so windy.
- 1:14:28Speaker 3: Let me tell you that it was so.
- 1:14:34Speaker 1: Cold and so windy, it was horrible.
- 1:14:36Speaker 3: You know, these strings are metal, right, Yeah, that's not fun.
- 1:14:40Speaker 1: Studios are fun.
- 1:14:42Speaker 4: We like studios.
- 1:14:43Speaker 3: That's more of that. Yeah. Uh.
- 1:14:46Speaker 4: And then the last tribua that I have here is
- 1:14:50Speaker 4: an homage from the First Vacation. But when when Clark's
- 1:14:53Speaker 4: boss is kidnapped and brought into the house, Ellen says,
- 1:14:56Speaker 4: this is our family's first kidnapping, which is similar to
- 1:14:59Speaker 4: what she's in the First Vacation. This is our first gun.
- 1:15:02Speaker 3: And I just thought that was oh yeah, yeah, a
- 1:15:04Speaker 3: little moment.
- 1:15:04Speaker 4: That's kind of fun.
- 1:15:06Speaker 1: Those callbacks, Yeah, sure, I saw.
- 1:15:09Speaker 3: A couple more of those that they had, Oh yeah, nice.
- 1:15:12Speaker 3: The moose cups that they're drinking.
- 1:15:14Speaker 4: Out of, Yeah yeah.
- 1:15:17Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:15:18Speaker 3: And I was like, why they drinking moose cuts, It's weird.
- 1:15:21Speaker 3: I was like, Oh, that's funny. And then that that
- 1:15:24Speaker 3: Mother's Day gift that said nineteen eighty three on it,
- 1:15:27Speaker 3: that was the release here for Vacation.
- 1:15:30Speaker 1: Oh nice.
- 1:15:30Speaker 3: So I was like, that's fun. So that was all
- 1:15:33Speaker 3: part of something that they call. It was very purposeful.
- 1:15:36Speaker 1: I like that.
- 1:15:38Speaker 3: I like that, that's fun.
- 1:15:40Speaker 4: Yep.
- 1:15:41Speaker 5: The only thing I saw was Christy Brinkley was asked
- 1:15:45Speaker 5: to cameo reprising her role as the girl in the
- 1:15:47Speaker 5: Red Ferrari from Vacation as the attractive lady Clark flirts
- 1:15:52Speaker 5: with in the department store.
- 1:15:54Speaker 1: She didn't think that that would.
- 1:15:56Speaker 5: Be very realistic, however, and so she didn't do it.
- 1:16:01Speaker 5: And her name, the lady's name was Nicolette Scorsese.
- 1:16:05Speaker 1: Not related.
- 1:16:07Speaker 3: That is a that is a problem. I looked that
- 1:16:09Speaker 3: up immediately. I said, what do you mean?
- 1:16:12Speaker 1: It's like that's but it does look like in Buges
- 1:16:17Speaker 1: you would know this.
- 1:16:19Speaker 5: Brinkley did, however, return for a cameo appearance in Vegas Vacation.
- 1:16:26Speaker 3: I just assumed that Billy Joel told her not to
- 1:16:29Speaker 3: do it. That's probably what happened. And then she was like,
- 1:16:33Speaker 3: I'm doing it. And then he's like, fun, do this
- 1:16:35Speaker 3: song and we're gonna they're all gonna hate you for it.
- 1:16:37Speaker 1: Now whatever, Uptown girl.
- 1:16:42Speaker 4: In a car.
- 1:16:43Speaker 5: That that was all I had. Nice well judgment day.
- 1:16:49Speaker 5: Will there be a sequel Vegas Vacation?
- 1:16:52Speaker 4: We know Vegas the high point of the series, honest
- 1:16:56Speaker 4: to God.
- 1:16:56Speaker 1: Which I love it.
- 1:16:58Speaker 4: I mean it is really I really honestly love that movie.
- 1:17:02Speaker 1: I know you do.
- 1:17:04Speaker 4: It's great.
- 1:17:04Speaker 3: I do love it as well, is more than I
- 1:17:09Speaker 3: I made a joke that I've I want to see
- 1:17:10Speaker 3: a sequel of that where everybody gets to come back
- 1:17:13Speaker 3: for the full part like he doesn't, and then he
- 1:17:16Speaker 3: flies them all in and then you know, Eddie can't swim.
- 1:17:19Speaker 3: So I'm gonna call this sequel just Eddie Swims. And
- 1:17:24Speaker 3: I think that really brings us all for a circle.
- 1:17:26Speaker 1: It really does.
- 1:17:27Speaker 3: It really brings it back to country music all the
- 1:17:29Speaker 3: things that we know. Well, there's a whole artist called
- 1:17:35Speaker 3: Teddy Swims.
- 1:17:36Speaker 4: Okay, that that's what I thought. I think they can't
- 1:17:41Speaker 4: be that right, that social media guy I wanted to
- 1:17:44Speaker 4: bring it. I don't do that.
- 1:17:47Speaker 1: Let's take two.
- 1:17:48Speaker 3: Okay, So what I said was no, here comes the
- 1:18:01Speaker 3: laughing laughing. That was wonderful.
- 1:18:07Speaker 1: Love it, Love it? Well, you guys.
- 1:18:11Speaker 5: I kind of decided to try a game. I think
- 1:18:13Speaker 5: we've tried to do this before, but I never have
- 1:18:16Speaker 5: duges this kind of a box office blunders game or
- 1:18:23Speaker 5: it's pretty much the movie grid game.
- 1:18:25Speaker 3: Oh good, Okay, So I'm.
- 1:18:28Speaker 5: Going to give you the name of an actor, and
- 1:18:32Speaker 5: then you are going to try and come up with
- 1:18:36Speaker 5: the worst movie that they did in the box office worldwide,
- 1:18:41Speaker 5: box worldwide. So hints, probably not like animated like family
- 1:18:52Speaker 5: movies because those make a.
- 1:18:53Speaker 3: Good or something right, or.
- 1:18:58Speaker 5: Like superhero movies, probably are not great to do. Uh
- 1:19:03Speaker 5: and but I picked five different actors.
- 1:19:10Speaker 1: We will we will try this.
- 1:19:12Speaker 4: I'm scared.
- 1:19:13Speaker 5: I don't know how quick it's gonna go, so you
- 1:19:15Speaker 5: might have to want to do some editing bugs.
- 1:19:17Speaker 4: I'm sorry for that. I think we've done it before too.
- 1:19:20Speaker 1: So cool.
- 1:19:22Speaker 5: Well, the first actor, we'll just get it started. Yea,
- 1:19:25Speaker 5: we'll do We'll do Chevy Chase since he was in
- 1:19:28Speaker 5: this movie. Kind of a Christmas movie, sweet actor, and
- 1:19:35Speaker 5: if you think you have a good one, just go
- 1:19:37Speaker 5: with it. Otherwise I'll just pick bugs first to.
- 1:19:41Speaker 8: Go all right, unless you feel strongly Chathaman would like
- 1:19:48Speaker 8: to go first, go ahead.
- 1:19:53Speaker 4: I think I feel like I'm kind of stealing this one.
- 1:19:55Speaker 4: But they said it was a flop. So Funny Farm, Oh,
- 1:19:59Speaker 4: I like, I like that.
- 1:20:04Speaker 1: You think of one?
- 1:20:07Speaker 3: Chat out this right? Because he said Christmas stuff was
- 1:20:15Speaker 3: Christmas the Christmas Cranks? Was that Tim Allen.
- 1:20:19Speaker 1: Christmas Christmas with the Cranks? I don't think it was
- 1:20:22Speaker 1: chevy Chase.
- 1:20:23Speaker 3: It wasn't chevy Chase. There's something in there. I was like,
- 1:20:25Speaker 3: what is that? Because you said Christmas movie, you're saying
- 1:20:28Speaker 3: Christmas movie?
- 1:20:28Speaker 1: Guy?
- 1:20:29Speaker 5: Oh yeah, yeah, I mean no, no, no, no, no, you
- 1:20:32Speaker 5: just need to pick a chevy Chase movie that you
- 1:20:35Speaker 5: thought box office?
- 1:20:38Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 1:20:38Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 1:20:40Speaker 3: Was it Cops and Robertson's was that a?
- 1:20:42Speaker 1: Was that one?
- 1:20:42Speaker 4: And he was in Oh I think he is in
- 1:20:45Speaker 4: Cops and roberts.
- 1:20:46Speaker 3: Jack Palance and yeah, like the FBI comes in.
- 1:20:50Speaker 4: And that's actually a fun movie.
- 1:20:52Speaker 1: I like.
- 1:20:52Speaker 5: So remember Funny Farm was twenty five million, five and
- 1:20:58Speaker 5: thirty seven, and you said Cops and Robertson's yeah, right,
- 1:21:05Speaker 5: it's definitely Chevy Chase.
- 1:21:06Speaker 1: Jack Palance and that movie grossed.
- 1:21:13Speaker 5: Eleven million, damn it worldwide. So Adam, nicely done, buddy.
- 1:21:21Speaker 1: Seven million? Is that's good.
- 1:21:23Speaker 4: That's a really good one.
- 1:21:27Speaker 3: Me too, exactly, That's what. That's what I'm saying.
- 1:21:32Speaker 4: That's fair.
- 1:21:33Speaker 1: That was great. So Chad Whin's that one?
- 1:21:36Speaker 4: Is there like a theme we're supposed to be trying.
- 1:21:38Speaker 1: To I just picked I mean, you don't need to guess.
- 1:21:41Speaker 1: I'm just going to give you the name of the actuals.
- 1:21:42Speaker 1: I picked five notable Christmas actors, but you don't. Really,
- 1:21:49Speaker 1: that's not so.
- 1:21:50Speaker 5: The next one I'm gonna pick is Billy Bob Thornton,
- 1:21:53Speaker 5: who did a Christmas movie, right, But try and pick
- 1:22:00Speaker 5: Billy Bob's worst box office movie.
- 1:22:04Speaker 4: Box office?
- 1:22:06Speaker 3: I can say one Jesus.
- 1:22:08Speaker 1: Yeah, if you if you feel confident, you go for it, Buddy.
- 1:22:11Speaker 3: I feel pretty confident about Pushing Tin being not very
- 1:22:14Speaker 3: good as a receiver.
- 1:22:15Speaker 1: It definitely was not very good. Let's see if I.
- 1:22:18Speaker 3: Liked the movie, but I don't think it was received
- 1:22:21Speaker 3: Pushing Tin.
- 1:22:22Speaker 1: It was.
- 1:22:23Speaker 5: That was kind of where he started his relationship with
- 1:22:25Speaker 5: Angelina Joe Lee.
- 1:22:26Speaker 3: Okay, yeah, and I and that like the movie, so
- 1:22:30Speaker 3: I think it did badly.
- 1:22:32Speaker 5: Oh my god. Roast eight million, four hundred and eight thousand.
- 1:22:39Speaker 4: There's no way I'm going to do better than that.
- 1:22:43Speaker 3: Wide sling Bade two.
- 1:22:46Speaker 4: Yeah, are there even movies below that eight million?
- 1:22:50Speaker 1: I don't know how you find that. I don't know
- 1:22:52Speaker 1: where you went to for that. Oh okay, and I'm
- 1:22:54Speaker 1: just going okay, it budgeted thirty three million. Roast eight
- 1:23:04Speaker 1: That is so rough. And I have good people in
- 1:23:08Speaker 1: that movie too.
- 1:23:09Speaker 3: Yeah that's John Cusack And yeah, I had a great time.
- 1:23:12Speaker 3: I think I'm ever.
- 1:23:13Speaker 4: Gonna beat that. So bad Santa two.
- 1:23:19Speaker 3: I mean that cannot be lying.
- 1:23:21Speaker 5: Yeah, oh yeah, yeah, can maybe I never saw that's
- 1:23:26Speaker 5: probably like a.
- 1:23:26Speaker 3: Hundred or something. I'm say twenty it is.
- 1:23:31Speaker 5: It didn't do well either. That was a good one.
- 1:23:35Speaker 5: But it did gross twenty four million.
- 1:23:36Speaker 1: Oh wow. Actually that's funny.
- 1:23:38Speaker 4: Good.
- 1:23:39Speaker 3: What if we start guessing how much it grows? Oh wow,
- 1:23:42Speaker 3: that's I guess. I guess twenty million for beat Senate two.
- 1:23:46Speaker 3: I would never guess eight for the other one, though, so,
- 1:23:48Speaker 3: oh my gosh, the other one.
- 1:23:50Speaker 4: Oh that's the director forgot he did that movie for crime?
- 1:23:55Speaker 6: Yeah, all right, well too, okayat the next bad.
- 1:24:00Speaker 1: Movies, I'll tell you that the next actor is Tim Allen.
- 1:24:08Speaker 3: That's gonna be.

- 1:26:12Speaker 1: was look it up Galaxy Quest still ninety million. It
- 1:26:18Speaker 1: would have been. It would have been the two that
- 1:26:19Speaker 1: you guys said.
- 1:26:20Speaker 3: But the only other thing I could think of is
- 1:26:23Speaker 3: what was the movie with him? It's like an Indian
- 1:26:25Speaker 3: headdress on and Jonathan Taylor Thomas or something. Wasn't that
- 1:26:29Speaker 3: like a movie?

- 1:27:36Speaker 4: to take a swing. Okay, despite it coming out only
- 1:27:41Speaker 4: only on streaming. Sometimes they'll put a box so I'm
- 1:27:47Speaker 4: going to say, uh oh, now I can't think of
