Transcript
- 0:03Speaker 1: Hello and welcome to Outspoken.
- 0:05Speaker 2: It's your dose of the hottest influencer and pop culture
- 0:08Speaker 2: news twice a week.
- 0:09Speaker 1: I'm Sophie Torber and coming up on.
- 0:11Speaker 2: Today's show, Sarah's Day fuels speculation of baby number four,
- 0:16Speaker 2: Tyson Fury's daughter's shock engagement at a 16th birthday party,
- 0:21Speaker 2: and the Daily Mail thinks they know why Tammy Hembrough
- 0:24Speaker 2: was friend-zoned by Bailey Smith. But first, Sky Wheatley's baby daddy,
- 0:29Speaker 2: Lockie Waugh, has shared disturbing footage of him drinking and
- 0:32Speaker 2: burning items at their home. Lockie's erratic behavior comes as
- 0:36Speaker 2: Sky confirmed the couple's breakup during an Instagram Live last week.
- 0:41Speaker 2: Breakup rumors have been following the couple for months now.
- 0:44Speaker 2: We did cover the story in depth on Friday's show,
- 0:47Speaker 2: so if you missed it, go back and have a listen.
- 0:49Speaker 1: But Kate, can you tell us the latest?
- 0:51Speaker 2: I have to admit, I found the footage quite unsettling
- 0:54Speaker 2: when it popped up on Lockie's Instagram story on Friday night.
- 0:58Speaker 1: And it came off the back of Skye.
- 0:59Speaker 2: Seemingly accusing Lockie of cheating on her in her Instagram
- 1:03Speaker 2: live a few days earlier. Now, the vision was filmed
- 1:06Speaker 2: from Lockie's perspective and it was at nighttime and he
- 1:09Speaker 2: showed himself standing in the backyard of the property he
- 1:11Speaker 2: is renovating with Skye. looking back at the house that
- 1:14Speaker 2: was all lit up, and he panned down to the
- 1:17Speaker 2: beer he was drinking, and in the background you could
- 1:19Speaker 2: hear he was listening to music. In the next frame,
- 1:22Speaker 2: Lockie showed himself walking through the empty house, and he
- 1:25Speaker 2: stopped in the kitchen where there was this big pile
- 1:27Speaker 2: of packed boxes, and he captioned the footage, couple of
- 1:30Speaker 2: beers deep, gin next. In the following stories, the packed
- 1:35Speaker 2: boxes were then outside in the backyard, and it appears
- 1:37Speaker 2: Lockie had poured flammable liquid on the boxes and a
- 1:40Speaker 2: line leading from the boxes to him, And so he
- 1:43Speaker 2: lit the boxes on fire. It seemed to be for
- 1:46Speaker 2: dramatic effect for the Instagram story because, as you said,
- 1:49Speaker 2: it was this line of fire.
- 1:50Speaker 1: That then quickly moved to burn the boxes.
- 1:53Speaker 2: And it was the music he was playing in the
- 1:55Speaker 2: background that seemed to get a lot of people's attention. Yeah,
- 1:57Speaker 2: the song Lockie was listening to was quite telling. It
- 2:00Speaker 2: was called We'll Do and it was by TV on
- 2:02Speaker 2: the radio. And the lyrics that played said, Any time
- 2:05Speaker 2: we'll do, what choice of words will take me back
- 2:08Speaker 2: to you? Your love makes a fool of you you
- 2:10Speaker 2: can't seem to understand. A heart doesn't play by rules
- 2:13Speaker 2: and love has its own demands, but I'll be there
- 2:16Speaker 2: to take care of you if you ever should decide
- 2:19Speaker 2: that you don't want to waste your life in the
- 2:20Speaker 2: middle of a lovesick lullaby. I would have been really
- 2:23Speaker 2: interested to see the behind the scenes filming of this
- 2:26Speaker 2: Instagram story because I feel like he waited for that
- 2:28Speaker 2: particular lyric to start playing for him to then light
- 2:31Speaker 2: everything on fire. Because the song was actually playing in
- 2:34Speaker 2: the background. It's not like he added the music on
- 2:36Speaker 2: top when he uploaded the story. Now, fortunately, it appears
- 2:39Speaker 2: Sky and the couple's young sons, Forrest and Bette, weren't
- 2:42Speaker 2: at the house. They still appear to be holidaying on
- 2:44Speaker 2: the Gold Coast. I really hope that Lockie's okay. He
- 2:47Speaker 2: has become one of my favorite boyfriends of Instagram. And obviously,
- 2:50Speaker 2: this breakup has hit him very hard. We did joke
- 2:53Speaker 2: on Friday's show that we enjoy the rogueness of some
- 2:55Speaker 2: of the Instagram stories. I mean, there was that infamous
- 2:58Speaker 2: sausages and saunas incident.
- 3:00Speaker 1: So I would like to see more humor, not so
- 3:03Speaker 1: much this. This was a bit disturbing.
- 3:05Speaker 2: Yeah, as I said earlier, I found the whole thing
- 3:06Speaker 2: pretty unsettling considering we didn't know what was actually in
- 3:08Speaker 2: the boxes. Like, was he burning Sky's possessions? Were they
- 3:12Speaker 2: his own? Was it just garbage that was inside the
- 3:14Speaker 2: house because they're doing renovations? Like, it was all very confusing.
- 3:17Speaker 2: It did appear that this incident was alcohol-fueled because he
- 3:20Speaker 2: did show that.
- 3:21Speaker 1: He was drinking. It was a Friday night. You know,
- 3:24Speaker 1: it's sad that he appeared to be by himself.
- 3:26Speaker 2: He obviously also knows that eyeballs are going to be
- 3:29Speaker 2: on his Instagram at the moment. When we shared a
- 3:32Speaker 2: link to that story, we had so many click-throughs. It's
- 3:35Speaker 2: probably the most we've had in a while. There are
- 3:36Speaker 2: a lot of people interested in this breakup. And I'm
- 3:39Speaker 2: sure he's noticed an influx of people clicking on his
- 3:41Speaker 2: Instagram stories. So he wanted to send a message or
- 3:44Speaker 2: show the mindset that he's in at the moment. Yeah,
- 3:47Speaker 2: I just really hope everyone that's involved is okay. Because again,
- 3:49Speaker 2: we're not really sure what message he was trying to send.
- 3:52Speaker 2: It was all very confusing. She's not a big footy fan.
- 3:56Speaker 1: And they were just mates, so.
- 4:00Speaker 2: The Daily Mail claims to know the real reason why
- 4:02Speaker 2: Bailey Smith publicly friend-zoned Tammy Hembrough. The publication ran with
- 4:07Speaker 2: some downright sexist quotes that have got us really riled up. Soph,
- 4:10Speaker 2: can you tell us more? Well, the publication ran with
- 4:13Speaker 2: a story that Matt Sikowsky's friends have gone to Bailey
- 4:16Speaker 2: Smith and warned him about dating her. So an unnamed
- 4:20Speaker 2: insider was quoted as saying, a few of Matt's mates
- 4:22Speaker 2: got in Bailey's ear and told him what had really
- 4:25Speaker 2: gone down. It didn't paint Tammy in the best light.
- 4:28Speaker 2: Bailey appreciated the heads up and it definitely made him
- 4:31Speaker 2: rethink whether it was a good idea. Another insider allegedly
- 4:36Speaker 2: said he was open to seeing where things could go,
- 4:38Speaker 2: but in the end he called time.
- 4:41Speaker 1: I actually wouldn't.
- 4:42Speaker 2: Be surprised if this has happened because I think we
- 4:46Speaker 2: mentioned it a couple of weeks ago, but we received
- 4:48Speaker 2: a couple of DMs and other people in the media
- 4:50Speaker 2: have been receiving DMs from Matt Zukowski's friends who are
- 4:53Speaker 2: pushing a particular story about Tammy Hembrough and the reasons
- 4:57Speaker 2: why they broke up. And it is not a flattering
- 4:59Speaker 2: portrayal of Tammy by any means. I think it's disappointing
- 5:03Speaker 2: that if this is the case that Bailey actually took
- 5:05Speaker 2: it on board because, you know, someone's ex is always
- 5:09Speaker 2: going to be peddling negative stories about them.
- 5:11Speaker 1: Yeah, but I want to point out we don't even
- 5:12Speaker 1: know if this is true.
- 5:14Speaker 2: The Daily Mail could have just created this story because
- 5:16Speaker 2: they've heard that the friends are.
- 5:17Speaker 1: Pushing a particular story. It doesn't mean that Bailey believes them. Yeah,
- 5:21Speaker 1: very true.
- 5:22Speaker 2: The Daily Mail also alleged that Bailey had already moved
- 5:25Speaker 2: on and was, quote, knee deep in DMs with women
- 5:28Speaker 2: aged 21 and 22. The insider was quoted as saying,
- 5:31Speaker 2: he's let a couple of girls know the Tammy chapter
- 5:34Speaker 2: is over. He's dodged a bullet and he knows that
- 5:36Speaker 2: he's back on the prow for women his own age
- 5:38Speaker 2: with less baggage.
- 5:40Speaker 1: So there's a real emphasis on the fact that Tammy
- 5:43Speaker 1: is older. She's a mom. She's 31. Where is He's
- 5:47Speaker 1: more interested in going for the younger Gen Z girls.
- 5:50Speaker 1: Oh my God. I was so disgusted by these sexist
- 5:53Speaker 1: and ageist quotes. It's like, she's 31 for goodness sake.
- 5:55Speaker 1: She's not even old. Like it's so ridiculous.
- 5:58Speaker 2: And I really think this all comes down to Bailey's
- 6:01Speaker 2: choice of words during the Kyle and Jackie O interview,
- 6:03Speaker 2: because by saying we're just friends, it really gives this
- 6:06Speaker 2: connotation that Tammy was the one wanting more.
- 6:08Speaker 1: And he said, no.
- 6:10Speaker 2: Last week, we did say that we were surprised that
- 6:12Speaker 2: Bailey Smith was allowed to actually appear on the Kyle
- 6:15Speaker 2: and Jackie O show because It seemed like he'd been
- 6:18Speaker 2: told by the Geelong coaching staff that he needed to
- 6:20Speaker 2: focus on football rather than his personal life. Because I mean,
- 6:24Speaker 2: if you're a Geelong fan, you're going to be pretty
- 6:26Speaker 2: pissed off if he suddenly starts to perform badly. And
- 6:28Speaker 2: you're thinking, well, it's because he's got so much media
- 6:31Speaker 2: focus on this new relationship. So his decision to take
- 6:34Speaker 2: part in an interview that was clearly going to be
- 6:37Speaker 2: about Tammy right before the Brownlow, it didn't really make sense.
- 6:40Speaker 2: And I'm starting to think now that it was a
- 6:42Speaker 2: strategic move because by being the one to address the
- 6:46Speaker 2: relationship and say we're just friends, it gave Bailey all
- 6:50Speaker 2: of the power. It made it look like he was
- 6:51Speaker 2: the one who pulled the pin on things. Yeah, and
- 6:53Speaker 2: it didn't take long for most of us, I think
- 6:56Speaker 2: us included, to show our internalised misogyny and assume that
- 6:59Speaker 2: Tammy was the one who was rejected. And it's crazy
- 7:02Speaker 2: when you reflect on the fact that Tammy is the
- 7:04Speaker 2: one who is the self-made millionaire in this relationship. She's
- 7:07Speaker 2: got three successful businesses, yet we still inherently measure her.
- 7:11Speaker 1: Success on being chosen by a man. to attend a
- 7:14Speaker 1: football event. I mean, an event that let's face it,
- 7:16Speaker 1: she was too big to attend anyway.
- 7:18Speaker 2: Yeah. I mean, there was a reason why everyone was
- 7:20Speaker 2: so excited to see if she stepped on the red
- 7:22Speaker 2: carpet or not, because she would have absolutely eclipsed that event. Yeah.
- 7:24Speaker 2: And it made me reflect on my visceral reaction to
- 7:27Speaker 2: listening to Bailey friend zoning Tammy on the Kyle and
- 7:30Speaker 2: Jackie O show, because I felt sick. It made me
- 7:32Speaker 2: feel embarrassed and kind of reflect on all those times
- 7:35Speaker 2: that I've been rejected by men. And sadly, I think
- 7:38Speaker 2: it's just ingrained in us as women to measure our
- 7:41Speaker 2: worth on if a man chooses us. And I think
- 7:43Speaker 2: we all sort of put ourselves in Tammy's shoes. And
- 7:46Speaker 2: I mean, I felt very sorry for her, but in reality,
- 7:48Speaker 2: who knows what happened? I mean, Tammy may have said, oh,
- 7:51Speaker 2: I'm sorry, I'm not going to be able to go
- 7:53Speaker 2: to the Brownlow. I've got school holidays with my kids.
- 7:55Speaker 2: I've got a holiday booked in. And maybe Bailey was
- 7:58Speaker 2: the one that felt rejected and got on the Kyle
- 7:59Speaker 2: and Jackie O show and was like, oh no, our
- 8:01Speaker 2: friends owned her. Like we just don't know what's actually occurred.
- 8:04Speaker 2: We also don't know if they're back on. now that
- 8:06Speaker 2: the grand final is over, particularly because Bailey Smith and
- 8:10Speaker 2: his team did not win the grand final.
- 8:12Speaker 1: It was not a good day for Bailey Smith. I mean,
- 8:14Speaker 1: I assume he was probably on a bit of a bender.
- 8:16Speaker 2: On Saturday night. So maybe Tammy might have got a
- 8:18Speaker 2: drunken text message. Who knows?
- 8:20Speaker 1: Well, as we're recording this on a Monday afternoon, he's
- 8:22Speaker 1: currently on Mad Monday.
- 8:24Speaker 2: Look, I think that any girl who's ever dreamed of
- 8:26Speaker 2: dating a footballer knows it's not a good time to
- 8:28Speaker 2: start things up at the end of the season.
- 8:30Speaker 1: There's just so many parties and carry on.
- 8:32Speaker 2: Mad Monday is probably the worst down the calendar for
- 8:35Speaker 2: every woman who dates an AFL player.
- 8:37Speaker 1: Like, it'd be absolutely awful.
- 8:39Speaker 2: I remember when we were very much into the footy
- 8:41Speaker 2: guys when we were, you know, 19, 20. And anyone
- 8:44Speaker 2: from Adelaide knows that you'd always go to the Grand
- 8:47Speaker 2: on a Sunday night at the end of the footy
- 8:49Speaker 2: season because that's where all of the players would be,
- 8:52Speaker 2: but they would be running an absolute mark. The other
- 8:54Speaker 2: hotspot for AFL players was the marble bar back in
- 8:56Speaker 2: the day.
- 8:57Speaker 1: That is now gone. This is a really.
- 8:59Speaker 2: Sad confession, but I remember you used to have to
- 9:02Speaker 2: pay to get into the marble bar. I think it
- 9:03Speaker 2: was $ 10, which would be quite cheap now. And, you know,
- 9:07Speaker 2: we were uni students back then with a part-time job.
- 9:09Speaker 2: We're like, I'm not wasting the money. So we would
- 9:11Speaker 2: send one person in to do a lap of the
- 9:14Speaker 2: marble bar, see if there were any footy players in there.
- 9:16Speaker 2: And then the rest of us would invest.
- 9:18Speaker 1: In going in there. God, how tragic does this sound?
- 9:21Speaker 2: It's just so embarrassing reflecting on how you put these
- 9:24Speaker 2: footy players on this massive pedestal. All the Gen Zers
- 9:27Speaker 2: should be happy though, because they now have access to
- 9:29Speaker 2: guys like Bailey Smith on Tinder, instead of having to
- 9:32Speaker 2: go to these awful nightclubs.
- 9:34Speaker 1: Or just on Instagram.
- 9:35Speaker 2: I think it's so much easier to slide into DMs
- 9:37Speaker 2: these days. Well, even with Instagram now, I think it's
- 9:40Speaker 2: easier to slide into the DMs. I am embarrassed to
- 9:43Speaker 2: put that story out there, but I'm confident in doing
- 9:45Speaker 2: so because I know there will be listeners who, you know,
- 9:48Speaker 2: 10 years ago were doing the exact same thing.
- 9:50Speaker 1: I think it's like 15 years ago. Forget that I'm 36.
- 9:58Speaker 2: Getting back to Tammy and Bailey, despite Bailey claiming to
- 10:02Speaker 2: Kyle and Jackie Yeo that Tammy's not a footy fan
- 10:04Speaker 2: and she would have been bored at the Brownlow, it
- 10:06Speaker 2: appears she still celebrated grand final day with her family.
- 10:09Speaker 2: So she shared a photo of her watching the AFL
- 10:12Speaker 2: on the big screen, along with two laptops playing rugby
- 10:16Speaker 2: and horse racing. She actually posted this photo to her
- 10:18Speaker 2: Instagram grid. So she was keen for people to know
- 10:21Speaker 2: she watched the game. Is she stamping her authority back
- 10:24Speaker 2: over him? Is that what's going on? Well, the thing is,
- 10:26Speaker 2: it's not like it was the full TV screen. Like
- 10:28Speaker 2: you kind of had to look at the photo carefully,
- 10:30Speaker 2: but you could see it was halftime and you could
- 10:32Speaker 2: see Geelong and Brisbane and then the two laptops. Well,
- 10:35Speaker 2: in her defense, who's not watching the grand final? I
- 10:37Speaker 2: feel like most people get around it. What did you
- 10:40Speaker 2: think of Snoop Dogg? I have to call myself out.
- 10:42Speaker 2: It was very un-Australian of me. I did not watch
- 10:44Speaker 2: one second of it. I didn't even watch the pregame.
- 10:47Speaker 2: So you haven't even seen Snoop Dogg popping up on
- 10:49Speaker 2: TikTok or anything?
- 10:49Speaker 1: I've seen bits and pieces of it, but I mean,
- 10:52Speaker 1: Snoop Dogg doesn't really interest me.
- 10:54Speaker 2: Like I was interested in Katy Perry last year. We
- 10:56Speaker 2: had a family thing because it was my father-in-law's birthday.
- 11:00Speaker 2: And it was so funny watching my husband and brother-in-law
- 11:02Speaker 2: flock to the TV to watch Snoop Dogg. They were
- 11:05Speaker 2: like two teenage boys.
- 11:06Speaker 1: Like, oh, my God. So it's clear that they were
- 11:09Speaker 1: going for a very male-dominated audience.
- 11:11Speaker 2: And I have to say, I did get quite excited
- 11:13Speaker 2: when he slinked out onto the oval.
- 11:16Speaker 1: But then I got bored by it. Like, once they
- 11:18Speaker 1: had the first song, I was like, because they're not
- 11:20Speaker 1: really pump-up songs, are they?
- 11:21Speaker 2: It wasn't like– Well, from what I saw, it was
- 11:23Speaker 2: very static. Like he didn't really move from the stage.
- 11:25Speaker 2: I mean, last year, Katy Perry was being driven around
- 11:27Speaker 2: the perimeter of the ground.
- 11:29Speaker 1: I think it's also the.
- 11:29Speaker 2: Fact that Katy Perry has so many mainstream bangers that
- 11:33Speaker 2: I think both genders enjoy. But I mean, the AFL
- 11:36Speaker 2: is very clever because they're trying to get international.
- 11:39Speaker 1: Eyeballs on the halftime. Well, it's not even halftime performance.
- 11:43Speaker 1: It's the pregame performance. And it's clearly what happened.
- 11:46Speaker 2: You can really tell the difference between, say, the AFL
- 11:48Speaker 2: and the NFL in terms of their halftime show because-
- 11:52Speaker 2: Back in the day, it used to be just the
- 11:53Speaker 2: mascots having a running race.
- 11:55Speaker 1: I don't know if that's still the case.
- 11:56Speaker 2: I saw someone reshare, and I don't know how long
- 11:59Speaker 2: ago this was, that Kath and Kim were actually part
- 12:03Speaker 2: of the pregame entertainment where they did this comedy skit
- 12:07Speaker 2: where they were singing on stage.
- 12:08Speaker 1: Oh, that would have been great. And they're like, wow,
- 12:10Speaker 1: we've come a long way.
- 12:11Speaker 2: I did see on Matt Sikowsky's story, the Snoop Dogg
- 12:15Speaker 2: was performing at some club in Melbourne and he was
- 12:17Speaker 2: pretty much front row. Yeah. Well, how much did they
- 12:20Speaker 2: pay Snoop Dogg to appear at the nightclub? Because didn't
- 12:22Speaker 2: he get $ 5 million for the AFL grand final performance? Yeah.
- 12:25Speaker 1: I don't know if he just went rogue and was like,
- 12:27Speaker 1: I'm going to do a set here.
- 12:28Speaker 2: We kept joking that the second the performance was over,
- 12:31Speaker 2: he was on his private jet just counting his money
- 12:33Speaker 2: out of there. Well, on the topic of Matt Sikowsky,
- 12:35Speaker 2: I feel like he made a little bit of a
- 12:36Speaker 2: dig at the Tammy Bailey situation because she He posted
- 12:40Speaker 2: a photo on his Instagram story of him celebrating grand
- 12:43Speaker 2: final day and he was wearing a Brisbane Bears jersey.
- 12:47Speaker 2: So the Brisbane Bears, that was what the Brisbane Lions
- 12:49Speaker 2: used to be known as. And I'm like, oh, he's
- 12:51Speaker 2: going for Brisbane.
- 12:52Speaker 1: Well, how embarrassing would it have been if he got
- 12:54Speaker 1: around in a Geelong guernsey?
- 12:55Speaker 2: Well, he is an Essendon supporter, but he's obviously wasn't
- 12:58Speaker 2: backing the Victorian team that day with Bailey Smith playing
- 13:00Speaker 2: for Geelong. I didn't even think pregnancy, baby, until I
- 13:06Speaker 2: was complaining to Kurt.
- 13:07Speaker 1: I was like, oh, I'm pretty sure I'm getting my
- 13:08Speaker 1: period back. And he was like, you're not pregnant, are you?
- 13:13Speaker 2: Sarah's day has been labeled tone deaf after fueling her
- 13:16Speaker 2: own pregnancy rumors. The OG fitness influencer has baited a
- 13:20Speaker 2: potential fourth pregnancy twice this month and admitted she was
- 13:24Speaker 2: freaking out over supposed pregnancy symptoms.
- 13:27Speaker 1: Kate, can you tell us more?
- 13:29Speaker 2: Well, at the start of September, Sarah teased on TikTok
- 13:32Speaker 2: that she was either pregnant with her fourth baby or
- 13:34Speaker 2: her period was returning. She captioned the video, should I
- 13:37Speaker 2: be more concerned or do I keep suppressing my internal
- 13:40Speaker 2: freak out? And she spoke in length about how her
- 13:43Speaker 2: pre-period and pregnancy symptoms are the same, but she actually
- 13:47Speaker 2: didn't consider that she could be pregnant until her husband
- 13:49Speaker 2: Kurt flagged it with her.
- 13:51Speaker 1: She then said this. I'm not baiting you here. I
- 13:54Speaker 1: am 99.99999% sure I'm not pregnant.
- 13:58Speaker 2: And no, I'm not going to go into the contraception
- 14:01Speaker 2: conversation because.
- 14:02Speaker 1: You get what you get and you don't get upset.
- 14:03Speaker 1: Meaning I tell you what I want and then we
- 14:06Speaker 1: leave the rest. Okay.
- 14:07Speaker 2: There's just some things on social media that I feel
- 14:09Speaker 2: like we can just leave. Okay.
- 14:11Speaker 1: A little bit TMI for me. So I'm pretty positive
- 14:14Speaker 1: that I cannot get pregnant.
- 14:15Speaker 2: Okay.
- 14:16Speaker 1: So just take that and just that's all you get.
- 14:20Speaker 2: It's quite ironic that she claimed she's not baiting anyone,
- 14:23Speaker 2: but started the video saying, I could be pregnant with
- 14:25Speaker 2: my fourth baby. Like she knows how the TikTok algorithm works.
- 14:28Speaker 2: That's going to make people stop and watch her video. Well,
- 14:30Speaker 2: particularly because a lot of her followers have been convinced
- 14:33Speaker 2: that she's going to try for baby number four because
- 14:36Speaker 2: she ended up having three boys. And it was quite
- 14:38Speaker 2: clear that she was hoping for a girl the third
- 14:41Speaker 2: time around. Yeah, but since she's had her third son, Harlow,
- 14:44Speaker 2: it's been very clear to me that she does not
- 14:46Speaker 2: want to have the newborn experience again because it's been
- 14:49Speaker 2: very tough for her with him having reflux. Oh, I
- 14:51Speaker 2: can't even imagine having three kids, especially three boys. I
- 14:55Speaker 2: probably have a different opinion to you, Kate, on this one.
- 14:58Speaker 2: I'm all for the TMI. I understand that when it
- 15:02Speaker 2: comes to pregnancy, you've got to be so careful, but
- 15:04Speaker 2: we keep saying that we want influencers to be more
- 15:07Speaker 2: open and people aren't sharing things anymore. I'm really enjoying
- 15:10Speaker 2: this little insight into what's going on behind the scenes
- 15:14Speaker 2: because I think for her, she is very in tune
- 15:17Speaker 2: with her body and she's realized that something is feeling off.
- 15:19Speaker 2: She could choose not to share about it, but isn't
- 15:22Speaker 2: it more interesting that we're hearing about it?
- 15:23Speaker 1: I get where you're coming from.
- 15:25Speaker 2: One thing I found really interesting though is the fact
- 15:27Speaker 2: that she doesn't want to speak about contraception because she
- 15:30Speaker 2: started her channel talking about hormonal acne and coming off
- 15:33Speaker 2: the pill. And it got people speculating about like, well,
- 15:36Speaker 2: why would she just not say what she's using for contraception?
- 15:39Speaker 1: I mean, I don't think she necessarily has to go
- 15:42Speaker 1: into it.
- 15:42Speaker 2: Yeah, but when you base your channel on talking about
- 15:44Speaker 2: things like hormonal acne and then also recently since having children,
- 15:48Speaker 2: she's spoken a lot about the process that she took
- 15:51Speaker 2: to try and conceive. It just seems like a natural
- 15:53Speaker 2: thing that she would discuss on her channel if she's
- 15:56Speaker 2: open to talking about fertility. Well, we all know she
- 15:59Speaker 2: loves a naturopath and maybe she's doing quite a unique,
- 16:02Speaker 2: very natural method that she doesn't want to be promoting
- 16:05Speaker 2: to her audience. Yeah, I think that could be it. Now,
- 16:08Speaker 2: as expected, the video gained traction and hit 324,000 views
- 16:12Speaker 2: on TikTok, which is actually quite a lot for Sarah
- 16:15Speaker 2: on that platform. Now, despite saying she wasn't baiting her followers,
- 16:18Speaker 2: a few weeks later, Sarah uploaded a reel that started
- 16:21Speaker 2: like this.
- 16:22Speaker 1: There's been a lot happening in my life lately. And
- 16:26Speaker 1: last week, I took a pregnancy test. And this is
- 16:29Speaker 1: not a joke. This is real life.
- 16:32Speaker 2: Now, to push the message even further, Sarah added text
- 16:35Speaker 2: on the screen that said, I took a pregnancy test.
- 16:38Speaker 2: And the thumbnail photo of the video was Sarah holding
- 16:41Speaker 2: a pregnancy test. She then spoke about all the pregnancy
- 16:44Speaker 2: symptoms she was experiencing and how weird it was taking
- 16:46Speaker 2: a pregnancy test when she definitely knows that she's done
- 16:49Speaker 2: having children. She even held the pregnancy test in the
- 16:52Speaker 2: frame like it was an advert. And it was quite
- 16:54Speaker 2: strange because it was the brand first response. And I'm
- 16:57Speaker 2: so used to seeing influencers with clear blue. I was like,
- 16:59Speaker 2: hang on, what is this?
- 17:00Speaker 1: Is this like the cheaper version?
- 17:01Speaker 2: She's probably like, well, clear blue aren't paying me and
- 17:03Speaker 2: they're paying other influencers. So I'm not going to be
- 17:05Speaker 2: putting them in the front of this video. I was
- 17:08Speaker 2: shocked at how many times this pregnancy test did appear
- 17:11Speaker 2: in the shot.
- 17:12Speaker 1: It was like, here, here, here.
- 17:13Speaker 2: She's so clever though, because she knows that she's going
- 17:16Speaker 2: to capture people in the second they see the pregnancy test.
- 17:19Speaker 2: Even if the sound's down, it's like, okay, someone's taking
- 17:21Speaker 2: a pregnancy test. I need to know what's happening. Yeah. Well,
- 17:23Speaker 2: it wasn't until around the one minute mark of the
- 17:26Speaker 2: video that she revealed that, quote, thankfully the test was
- 17:28Speaker 2: negative and she got her first period.
- 17:30Speaker 1: Back since having Harlow.
- 17:32Speaker 2: So all of these symptoms were leading into the fact
- 17:34Speaker 2: that her period was returning to For the first time postpartum. God,
- 17:37Speaker 2: I'm still waiting for my first period postpartum. Hopefully it
- 17:41Speaker 2: doesn't come.
- 17:42Speaker 1: For a while. It did not sound pleasant. No, they
- 17:44Speaker 1: are not fun.
- 17:46Speaker 2: Sarah said, though, that she was so adamant that she
- 17:48Speaker 2: was pregnant that she kept the pregnancy test for four days.
- 17:51Speaker 1: She then said this. I didn't tell Kurt because I
- 17:56Speaker 1: was like, I was so nervous. Like it wasn't, I
- 17:58Speaker 1: wasn't like, oh my gosh, like I could be pregnant.
- 18:00Speaker 1: I was like, oh my gosh, like Kurt will drop dead.
- 18:05Speaker 2: Now, Kurt is clearly not keen to have baby number four.
- 18:08Speaker 2: I think he was really pushed across the line to
- 18:11Speaker 2: have baby number three. He looks absolutely chaotic in their household.
- 18:14Speaker 2: Having one, I actually don't understand how people can go
- 18:17Speaker 2: to three.
- 18:18Speaker 1: No.
- 18:18Speaker 2: It's quite a luxury these days to have three kids, though.
- 18:20Speaker 2: You've got to have a lot of finances behind you.
- 18:23Speaker 2: I had to laugh at one of the comments under
- 18:25Speaker 2: the video. Someone wrote, okay, the Tills fam hiring a
- 18:28Speaker 2: sleep consultant was obviously good for mum and dad.
- 18:30Speaker 1: Lol. Yeah. The comment section was really interesting because.
- 18:35Speaker 2: I think from Sarah using the word, hopefully it's our
- 18:38Speaker 2: last pregnancy scare, it caused a lot of people again
- 18:41Speaker 2: to speculate about the contraception she was using and how
- 18:44Speaker 2: she tracks her cycle.
- 18:46Speaker 1: There were a lot of calls for Kurt to get
- 18:48Speaker 1: a vasectomy.
- 18:49Speaker 2: In terms of people asking why she doesn't track her cycle,
- 18:52Speaker 2: I saw that she responded and said, well, to be fair,
- 18:55Speaker 2: I didn't have anything to track. Yeah, and she spoke
- 18:57Speaker 2: about how with her second son Malachi, it took like
- 18:59Speaker 2: 22 months or something like that for a period to return.
- 19:02Speaker 2: So this is fairly early for her in her postpartum journey.
- 19:06Speaker 2: There were a lot of people labelling the pregnancy baiting
- 19:09Speaker 2: as tone deaf. What did you think, Soph? Look, I
- 19:12Speaker 2: was pretty surprised to see the video pop up because
- 19:15Speaker 2: people nowadays are being so careful with anything relating to pregnancy.
- 19:19Speaker 2: It can be very triggering for some people. That's why
- 19:23Speaker 2: I didn't think that she would share something like that. Yeah,
- 19:25Speaker 2: and I think it was the way the pregnancy test
- 19:27Speaker 2: was used as a prop. Like it was so overtly done.
- 19:31Speaker 2: It was clear she was trying to build engagement. That
- 19:33Speaker 2: video attracted 1.4 million views on Instagram.
- 19:35Speaker 1: So it clearly worked.
- 19:36Speaker 2: But then on the other side of things, I'm sort
- 19:39Speaker 2: of all for videos where influencers really do give you
- 19:42Speaker 2: an insight into what's going on because the influencer space
- 19:45Speaker 2: is becoming boring when people don't share about what's really
- 19:49Speaker 2: going on in their lives. yeah but the news was
- 19:51Speaker 2: that her period had returned it wasn't about being pregnant
- 19:54Speaker 2: she knew before she filmed that video that she wasn't
- 19:56Speaker 2: pregnant yeah but the news also was that she thought
- 19:59Speaker 2: she was and she's a content creator she creates engaging
- 20:03Speaker 2: videos that people want to click on and That's her job. Look,
- 20:07Speaker 2: I think I found it quite jarring because pregnancy and
- 20:09Speaker 2: fertility is such a sensitive topic. So I think I
- 20:11Speaker 2: was sort of like, oh, this just seems so overt,
- 20:14Speaker 2: the pregnancy baiting. Well, when you look at the fact
- 20:16Speaker 2: that she's also just about to launch a new fitness challenge,
- 20:19Speaker 2: it's clear that she is wanting as many.
- 20:21Speaker 1: Eyeballs to her page as possible.
- 20:23Speaker 2: So she has been accused in the past of trying
- 20:25Speaker 2: to generate controversy when she's about to drop something new. Yeah,
- 20:28Speaker 2: that's a really good point. So we have spoken on
- 20:30Speaker 2: the podcast about her fitness challenge. It's called 560. Sarah
- 20:35Speaker 2: has announced it's launching on the 9th of October, which
- 20:37Speaker 2: I found a pretty bold move because she's spoken openly
- 20:40Speaker 2: about the fact that she still needs to shoot the
- 20:42Speaker 2: workout content for the challenge. She tried to film it
- 20:45Speaker 2: the other day and her son Harlow was awake.
- 20:48Speaker 1: So she's like, should I just film it with him?
- 20:50Speaker 2: I haven't been game enough to try and do a
- 20:52Speaker 2: workout with my son Luca. I feel like he's too
- 20:54Speaker 2: small at the moment.
- 20:55Speaker 1: But I feel like that'd be very challenging, particularly filming it.
- 20:58Speaker 2: Oh, it would be so difficult. It would be an
- 21:00Speaker 2: absolute nightmare. Have you seen the photo Sarah used to
- 21:04Speaker 2: announce the launch date?
- 21:05Speaker 1: I have.
- 21:06Speaker 2: And I don't mean to sound like a weirdo, but
- 21:10Speaker 2: I think what was in focus the.
- 21:11Speaker 1: Most was her crotch. Oh, I was like, why is
- 21:14Speaker 1: this just a shot of her crotch?
- 21:15Speaker 2: So for those who haven't seen the photo, she is
- 21:18Speaker 2: standing in this pose with her arms outstretched above her
- 21:22Speaker 2: head and is kind of from her thighs upwards. And
- 21:26Speaker 2: her hips are pushed forward to make her abs pop.
- 21:30Speaker 2: And the photo is taken from like below So it
- 21:32Speaker 2: really focuses on her crutch.
- 21:35Speaker 1: And it turns out her husband, Kurt Tills, took the photo.
- 21:38Speaker 1: And it was pretty funny because someone wrote in the comments,
- 21:41Speaker 1: I saw this pic and immediately knew it was Kurt.
- 21:43Speaker 1: He has a distinctive style that I like. And I
- 21:45Speaker 1: was just laughing. I'm thinking, it's of her crutch.
- 21:48Speaker 2: It's clear she's trying to get her community involved in
- 21:50Speaker 2: this project and feel like it's something they're working on
- 21:52Speaker 2: together because she asked her followers to help select the
- 21:55Speaker 2: logo for the.
- 21:57Speaker 1: Challenge's Instagram account.
- 21:59Speaker 2: And off the back of that, I went to see
- 22:01Speaker 2: just how many followers the 560 challenge now has. And
- 22:05Speaker 2: I was really shocked because it had 127,000 followers. Yeah.
- 22:08Speaker 1: I saw it and was like, God, geez, it must
- 22:11Speaker 1: be bigger than I thought.
- 22:12Speaker 2: Yeah. But then when I actually did some digging, if
- 22:15Speaker 2: you look at the tag photos, it turns out that
- 22:17Speaker 2: she's just converted her defunct health code podcast page into
- 22:21Speaker 2: the new 560 challenge account. I mean, No shade, because
- 22:24Speaker 2: if you're a business owner and you have access to
- 22:27Speaker 2: 127,000 people on an account that you no longer use,
- 22:30Speaker 2: of course you're going to utilize it. But it does
- 22:32Speaker 2: tell me that the podcast is not coming back. And
- 22:34Speaker 2: I really enjoyed the Health Code podcast in the early days. Yeah,
- 22:37Speaker 2: she's really put a line through that podcast. It's interesting though,
- 22:40Speaker 2: because she's used this method before. So she also had
- 22:43Speaker 2: an Instagram account for her defunct cooking app called Sunny.
- 22:46Speaker 2: And that account has now been turned into something called
- 22:48Speaker 2: the Sarah's Day Wellness Hub. So I reckon on the
- 22:52Speaker 2: 560 Challenge account, that is purely going to be focused
- 22:54Speaker 2: on her sharing her journey of doing the challenge and
- 22:57Speaker 2: then maybe highlighting some community members who have had success
- 23:01Speaker 2: stories and these.
- 23:02Speaker 1: Really good results.
- 23:03Speaker 2: Yeah, I feel like the more of the marketing I see,
- 23:05Speaker 2: it's validating my original fears that this is just going
- 23:07Speaker 2: to be an old school toxic fitness challenge. I've seen
- 23:10Speaker 2: the term rules and no quitting used quite a lot,
- 23:14Speaker 2: which is a.
- 23:14Speaker 1: Little bit of a concern.
- 23:15Speaker 2: Do we think now that she's definitely not going to
- 23:17Speaker 2: have a fourth child, she is re-entering her fitness era?
- 23:21Speaker 2: I mean, she keeps saying she's definitely not going to
- 23:23Speaker 2: have a fourth child, but I would not be surprised
- 23:25Speaker 2: in a couple of years time if they have.
- 23:26Speaker 1: An accident child.
- 23:27Speaker 2: I think that they're setting it up saying, oh, you know,
- 23:31Speaker 2: we've having all these pregnancy scares. Like we're not really
- 23:34Speaker 2: clear on what contraception we're using.
- 23:36Speaker 1: I don't think so.
- 23:37Speaker 2: The way that Kurt reacted, I don't think you'd be
- 23:39Speaker 2: reacting like that if you're you know, gunning for baby
- 23:42Speaker 2: number four. Oh, Kurt doesn't want baby number four, but
- 23:44Speaker 2: I think Sarah potentially could after she's recovered from having
- 23:47Speaker 2: a baby with reflux.
- 23:48Speaker 1: I think she really wants a girl. Hi, everyone. That's
- 23:52Speaker 1: Tyson Fury. And she's Paris Fury. And today we're going
- 23:55Speaker 1: to play a little game of Mr.
- 23:57Speaker 2: And Mrs. Over the weekend, Tyson Fury's daughter, Venezuela, generated
- 24:02Speaker 2: headlines after she got engaged at her 16th birthday party
- 24:06Speaker 2: with So if the announcement sent shockwaves across social media. Yeah,
- 24:10Speaker 2: I mean, engagement announcements always do well on Instagram, but
- 24:13Speaker 2: this one did particularly well. It generated over 1.8 million views. Now,
- 24:19Speaker 2: in the video, Venezuela, who has 198,000 followers, shared a
- 24:23Speaker 2: close-up of her new engagement ring and wrote, we're getting married,
- 24:27Speaker 2: so happy, and tagged her new fiance, Noah Price. Now,
- 24:31Speaker 2: Venezuela's mom, Paris Fury, who is married to the famous boxer,
- 24:35Speaker 2: also broke the news to her 1.9 million followers, sharing
- 24:39Speaker 2: the moment that Noah popped the question. And I have
- 24:42Speaker 2: to say that this is probably one of the most
- 24:44Speaker 2: awkward proposal videos I have ever seen. It is very
- 24:48Speaker 2: evident that the two are very young. So in the video,
- 24:51Speaker 2: Noah got down on one knee on this empty dance floor.
- 24:55Speaker 2: There were a handful of family members who were looking on.
- 24:58Speaker 2: And at one point, a random child just walked past
- 25:01Speaker 2: the proposal and It was also quite a lacklustre reaction
- 25:04Speaker 2: from partygoers. It's interesting to have the insight from the
- 25:08Speaker 2: Furies doco because I remember seeing them getting ready for
- 25:10Speaker 2: these big parties and even though they spent so much
- 25:13Speaker 2: money on them, they just looked like your typical chavvy
- 25:17Speaker 2: English event that was boring with lots of kids there. Yeah. Well...
- 25:21Speaker 2: What was also very uncomfortable about this proposal video was
- 25:24Speaker 2: that they looked uncomfortable showing.
- 25:26Speaker 1: Affection in front of their family and friends. They're 16.
- 25:30Speaker 2: Yeah, they gave this uncomfortable hug and then Noah sort
- 25:34Speaker 2: of gave her a kiss on the cheek. It seemed
- 25:36Speaker 2: like she knew it was coming though because she was
- 25:38Speaker 2: wearing this sparkly white two-piece outfit.
- 25:41Speaker 1: It looked like a very engagementy outfit.
- 25:43Speaker 2: Well, I was thinking, well, surely Noah has asked Tyson
- 25:46Speaker 2: and Paris for their daughter's hand in marriage considering she's
- 25:49Speaker 2: only 16. But Paris admitted to her followers that she
- 25:52Speaker 2: was shocked but happy for the young couple. She wrote,
- 25:55Speaker 2: congratulations Venezuela and Noah on getting engaged. Both only young
- 25:58Speaker 2: but when you know, you know. Still in shock but
- 26:00Speaker 2: very happy for you both. Me and your dad couldn't
- 26:02Speaker 2: be prouder. When I first saw this video popping up
- 26:05Speaker 2: on TikTok, there were a lot of questions about how
- 26:07Speaker 2: old her new fiance Noah actually was because the consensus
- 26:11Speaker 2: was that he looked a lot older than Venezuela and
- 26:15Speaker 2: but he is in fact 17 years old. And funnily enough,
- 26:18Speaker 2: he is actually an up and coming boxer like her
- 26:20Speaker 2: dad and also her famous uncle, Tommy Fury. So he
- 26:23Speaker 2: is pretty built for a teenager, which I think made
- 26:26Speaker 2: him look a lot older. As you can expect, Paris
- 26:28Speaker 2: Fury's comment section blew up with Venezuela's auntie, Molly May writing, congratulations,
- 26:32Speaker 2: special girl. Not everyone was as happy though. One follower wrote,
- 26:36Speaker 2: this child is 16. Paris and Tyson, you have worked
- 26:39Speaker 2: so hard to give your children a better life. Let
- 26:41Speaker 2: your daughter see the world, not tie herself down to
- 26:43Speaker 2: a boy.
- 26:44Speaker 1: Madness. Now that comment received over 400 likes.
- 26:47Speaker 2: Another follower wrote, this just looks so awkward and like
- 26:50Speaker 2: they're both embarrassed, which just proves they're far too young
- 26:53Speaker 2: to be making such a huge commitment to each other.
- 26:57Speaker 2: Another said, regardless of age, this is the most awkward
- 26:59Speaker 2: proposal I've ever seen. There was a follower who told
- 27:03Speaker 2: people not to be haters and pointed out that Paris
- 27:05Speaker 2: got with Tyson at her 16th birthday and that they're
- 27:08Speaker 2: still together. So it would be a fun fact. Paris
- 27:11Speaker 2: is only 35 and Tyson is 37, which.
- 27:14Speaker 1: Blows my mind.
- 27:15Speaker 2: I can't imagine being the mother of a bride at
- 27:17Speaker 2: this age. I mean, even if the bride is 16.
- 27:20Speaker 2: We have to remember that the Tyson family are travelers.
- 27:23Speaker 2: So it is tradition for travelers to marry young. There
- 27:26Speaker 2: is generally not a large time span between puberty and marriage.
- 27:29Speaker 2: So the typical age for a female traveler is 16
- 27:33Speaker 2: to 17 and for male travelers, 18 to 19. So
- 27:36Speaker 2: when you look at it with that perspective, it does
- 27:38Speaker 2: make a lot more sense. Well, I remember in the
- 27:41Speaker 2: Fury's doco that Venezuela was pulled out of school at 13,
- 27:45Speaker 2: so she could follow her mum around and learn how
- 27:47Speaker 2: to be a housewife, basically.
- 27:49Speaker 1: Well, a lot of female travellers don't go to school
- 27:53Speaker 1: at all.
- 27:53Speaker 2: Yeah. I know that was something that Tommy and Molly
- 27:56Speaker 2: had to talk about because it seemed like Tommy wanted
- 28:00Speaker 2: Bambi to have quite a traditional lifestyle, but Molly's like, no,
- 28:04Speaker 2: she's definitely going to school. Well, it seems like it's
- 28:06Speaker 2: going to be a long engagement for Venezuela and Noah
- 28:09Speaker 2: because in February 2023, the legal age changed for marriage
- 28:14Speaker 2: in England. So previously, if you were 16, you could
- 28:17Speaker 2: get married if you had parental permission. However, that is
- 28:21Speaker 2: no longer the case. I think it's probably good it's
- 28:23Speaker 2: going to be a bit of a long engagement. The
- 28:25Speaker 2: two might get to know each other a bit more. Yeah,
- 28:27Speaker 2: I mean, they might actually work up to not being
- 28:29Speaker 2: embarrassed to kiss at the altar by 18. Yeah. Well,
- 28:32Speaker 2: I think that is all we have time for today.
- 28:34Speaker 2: Thank you so much for joining us for this episode.
- 28:36Speaker 2: And for those of you playing at home who are
- 28:38Speaker 2: wondering why I'm here on a Tuesday.
- 28:40Speaker 1: Yeah, you're not meant to be here. You're meant to
- 28:41Speaker 1: be on maternity leave. Yeah, we are having a bit
- 28:43Speaker 1: of a rejig.
- 28:43Speaker 2: So I will be on every Tuesday episode and Amy
- 28:45Speaker 2: will be back for Friday's episode. We thought it was
- 28:49Speaker 2: a bit more consistency for everyone, a bit easier to
- 28:51Speaker 2: plan our days. Yeah. And depending on how organized we are,
- 28:54Speaker 2: you will most likely be on Outspoken Plus, which is
- 28:57Speaker 2: our subscription channel. So we drop new episodes for subscribers
- 29:00Speaker 2: every Thursday.
- 29:01Speaker 1: Which is basically an extension of this show.
- 29:03Speaker 2: So on Thursday, we are going to be talking about
- 29:06Speaker 2: Maddie J and Laura Byrne's new baby, Poppy. There's been
- 29:09Speaker 2: a bit of a controversy around her name because Maddie
- 29:11Speaker 2: J did actually drop the name ahead of the birth.
- 29:15Speaker 2: We'll also be discussing how Indy Clinton sparked debate about
