- 0:00SPEAKER_00: Hello, happy Sunday.
- 0:02SPEAKER_00: Welcome to the Glimpse Weekly Guide.
- 0:06SPEAKER_00: A Sunday snack for your soul.
- 0:10SPEAKER_00: Today we are talking about well, I'm gonna tell you a little story.
- 0:17SPEAKER_00: The moon who chose to shrunk shrink.
- 0:21SPEAKER_00: So right now the moon is moving into Cancer, and by the end of the week, she'll pass through Leo.
- 0:27SPEAKER_00: Quick, bold, and fiery Leo.
- 0:29SPEAKER_00: I'm a Leo.
- 0:31SPEAKER_00: But before Leo season officially begins, the sun, meanwhile, is still sitting steady in Cancer and won't make her move to Leo for another week, week and a half.
- 0:44SPEAKER_00: So this week we've got the moon trying on that Leo energy early, that desire to shine, to be seen, to take up space.
- 0:53SPEAKER_00: While the sun stays quietly in her own lane.
- 0:56SPEAKER_00: And that tension, that's exactly the energy of the story I want to tell you today.
- 1:00SPEAKER_00: So in the beginning, before there was day and night as we know it, there was just light.
- 1:07SPEAKER_00: Two great lights, equal in glory, hanging in the same sky.
- 1:12SPEAKER_00: And the moon looked over at the sun and said, Hey, master of the universe, is it possible for two kings to wear one crown?
- 1:20SPEAKER_00: Now here's where it gets interesting.
- 1:23SPEAKER_00: In the plain telling of the story, God shrinks the moon for complaining and um, you know, comparing.
- 1:31SPEAKER_00: It's kind of a punishment.
- 1:33SPEAKER_00: But the mystics, the Kabbalists, they saw something different happening in the sky.
- 1:39SPEAKER_00: They saw the moon choosing to become small, not out of shame, but out of service.
- 1:46SPEAKER_00: Because here's the truth about light: infinite light can't be received.
- 1:50SPEAKER_00: It has to be constricted, folded down, or made smaller before a world, before a person, before a heart can actually hold it.
- 1:58SPEAKER_00: The mystics call this tasum, the sacred contraction.
- 2:04SPEAKER_00: The moon didn't shrink because she failed, she shrank so she could actually be received.
- 2:10SPEAKER_00: And the sun?
- 2:11SPEAKER_00: The sun heard the whole thing.
- 2:13SPEAKER_00: Heard the moon question its worth, question the whole arrangement, the comparing and the complaining.
- 2:19SPEAKER_00: And the sun didn't defend, didn't retaliate, didn't gossip to the stars about what the moon had said.
- 2:27SPEAKER_00: The sun just took it in and sat with it.
- 2:30SPEAKER_00: Let it become fuel instead of a wound.
- 2:33SPEAKER_00: And we can learn a lot from the sun in this in this story.
- 2:41SPEAKER_00: This is the piece that nobody talks about.
- 2:43SPEAKER_00: We tell the moon story, her humility, her shrinking, her surrender, but the sun story is just as sacred.
- 2:49SPEAKER_00: The sun grew into its fullness not by approving anything, but by staying quiet, staying whole, and letting the criticism move through instead of control, controlling it.
- 3:04SPEAKER_00: So this week, whenever the moon is moving through your sky, ask yourself, where am I being asked to shrink?
- 3:10SPEAKER_00: Not because I'm less, but because it's my season to be received rather than to dominate.
- 3:16SPEAKER_00: And where am I being asked to be the sun?
- 3:19SPEAKER_00: To hear the hard things someone said about me.
- 3:22SPEAKER_00: And instead of defending or gossiping or spinning it, just let it actually sink in and refine me.
- 3:31SPEAKER_00: I have a devotion, kind of an affirmation for this week.
- 3:39SPEAKER_00: And if you want to, you can repeat after me in your head or out loud.
- 3:48SPEAKER_00: Divine light, source of all becoming.
- 3:54SPEAKER_00: Let me hold criticism the way the sun held the moon's words.
- 4:01SPEAKER_00: Without flinching, without retaliating, without needing to be right.
- 4:12SPEAKER_00: Let what stings become fuel.
- 4:16SPEAKER_00: Let what humbles me become room for more light.
- 4:23SPEAKER_00: And when it's my season to shrink, let me trust that smallness is not failure.
- 4:32SPEAKER_00: It's how I become able to be received.
- 4:38SPEAKER_00: I am not too much, and I am not too little.
- 4:44SPEAKER_00: I am exactly the size this moment needs me to be.
- 4:50SPEAKER_00: And so it is.
