  [SPEAKER_00]: And in fact, in my bold predictions for the Jaguars free agency this past Saturday, I predicted that I don't think Travis ET and Junior will be back with the Jaguars.

  [SPEAKER_00]: and he's about to be 27 years old, and we'll talk about like his skill set, but

  [SPEAKER_00]: I'll tell you what, if you can get Travis ETN for less than $9 million a year, and that's on the high side of what, over the cap is saying, if you're talking about $7 million per year

  [SPEAKER_00]: My belief when I was looking at Travis CTN's potential contract here, I was looking back at, you know,

  [SPEAKER_00]: That's what I was guessing.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Like Travis C. T. and would be in that range.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And Kyron Williams this past year, he got 11 million per year from the Los Angeles Ramps.

  [SPEAKER_00]: You look at some other running-back contracts.

  [SPEAKER_00]: James Cook just got 11.5.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Josh Jacobs recently got 12 Alvin Kamara's getting 12.25 and then you get into a little bit of a different tier with your Jonathan Taylor's, your Derek Henry's, 14 and 15 million per year respectively for those two guys, say quann and Christian McAfrey up there, closer to 20 million, say quann's over 20 million.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But you know, I was expecting you'd have to pay at least

  [SPEAKER_00]: maybe over the cap and spot rack is closer to what he would actually get on the open market and i'm just saying if he would get under ten million dollars per year i think they should just keep him because that's a negligible amount of cap space uh... again

  [SPEAKER_00]: When you talk about salary cap space, the way the Jack Wars can write this deal, because ShodCon is willing to open up his checkbook his bank account and write big signing bonuses.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Signing bonuses can be pro-rated over the length of the contract, which means you can spread out that signing bonus money to where that signing bonus doesn't just hit your one of the cap.

  [SPEAKER_00]: It gets spread out throughout the remainder of the contract.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And so you can sign them to a three year deal.

  [SPEAKER_00]: which would take him up to like close to his age, close to age 30, and then you can basically have like a year one capit of whatever you want.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, if you sign him, let's just say $9 million per year.

  [SPEAKER_00]: If you sign it for $9 million per year, over a three year deal, you're talking about a year one capit, probably under $4 million, under $4 million.

  [SPEAKER_00]: probably around 10 or so, and then, and the Jaguars have a lot more cap space and flexibility for 2020, 2027 than they are 26 right now, but I just, and then you could get out of the contract after year two and save a bunch of cap space, have a little bit of dead cap.

  [SPEAKER_00]: The way you write it, you can also have like a void here on the back end to make this salary cap It's even smaller.

  [SPEAKER_00]: You can do a lot of different things and Gosh, I just I know they have basal toon I know that they have lequent Allen and that they have the ability to go draft or running back on day two or three of the draft as well I I value Travis ET and skill set highly He showed this year

  [SPEAKER_00]: that he can be a three-way threat as a running back for you without question, right?

  [SPEAKER_00]: He showed the ability to obviously be an effective runner for you.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He was tough, he was explosive.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I thought he got better with his vision and patience overall.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He did a good job on the ground.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And he ended up averaging 4.3 yards per carry this year.

  [SPEAKER_00]: The back half of the Jaguar schedule against the run was a gauntlet.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He was doing a lot more when the Jaguars were playing like a more average schedule when it comes to opposing run defenses.

  [SPEAKER_00]: They played the Tennessee Titans twice.

  [SPEAKER_00]: The Titans had one of the best run-dee-fifthens in football over the back after the year.

  [SPEAKER_00]: They played the cult's twice, another really good run-dee-fins.

  [SPEAKER_00]: They played the New York Jets, who admittedly did not have a great run-dee-fins this year.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He had a decent game against the Jets, but the Jag War is wearing this mode where they were passing the ball a lot more.

  [SPEAKER_00]: The Denver Broncos, again, a great run-dee-fins.

  [SPEAKER_00]: All those teams that they played from, you know, Sunday, November 30th, week 13, through week 18, had really good run defense outside of the jets.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And the Jaguar's run blocking, it wasn't LED this year by any stretch of the imagination, it was pretty good most weeks, it was good enough.

  [SPEAKER_00]: What he was doing prior to facing that really rough stretch of defenses, he was having some huge games.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He really was, and he had some good games against those teams as well.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, and like I said, he is a three-way threat at the running back position.

  [SPEAKER_00]: The guy is a big-time receiver in the NFL, at the running back position of my opinion.

  [SPEAKER_00]: A big part of his value has always been his receiving game, his career drop rate is 7.3% which is not elite, but it's good, like you'll take that and you'll like it.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He's gotten 1,400 career receiving arts, 8 career receiving touchdowns, hit 7 receiving touchdowns for the Jaguar this year.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He makes people miss in space.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And he had over a thousand yards rushing.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He had over 300 yards receiving.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He had, did he have 14 touchdowns this year?

  [SPEAKER_00]: Including the playoffs?

  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, 14 total touchdowns.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And the biggest kicker here, not only is he a great runner or a very good runner, a very good receiver.

  [SPEAKER_00]: They could rely on him to be good in pass protection.

  [SPEAKER_00]: top of the market at running back or even like that mid tier or like second tier where it's like 13 or 14 million.

  [SPEAKER_00]: When you get to that price point, I can see how the dollars and cents and the cap space and all that stuff might not be the most effective use of your resources.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But if you're talking about,

  [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, again, Spot Rec said 6.8 million, over the cap says 8.8 million, if you're talking about less than 9 million per year for a player that's that good, I know the running back positions devalued, but I would be in on that.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Again, if you sign up to a 9 million dollar per year contract, that cap hit this year.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, let's just say it's 40% of the average annual value, which is kind of a benchmark.

  [SPEAKER_00]: The Jack Wars, they can do things however that like, not every contract is exactly the same, but that's kind of a standard that I look at.

  [SPEAKER_00]: If it's 40% of the average annual value, if it's at $9 million.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I know running backs can be replaced, but let's just be honest.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I don't think he's as complete of a back right now as Travis C.T.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think he could, and could Bacial have a really good off-season and then come in and just be a dynamo next year.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And Lee Quint Allen is a really good utility back as well in special teamer.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And again, if you do end up not bringing Travis CTN back, you're going to draft someone as well.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I'm not going to bury the team if they don't bring him back, but if he goes out and he signs somewhere for less than $9 million, that's going to be like, it's going to be disappointing to me.
