- 0:00SPEAKER_00: Man, it's gonna sound a little bit like a broken record.
- 0:02SPEAKER_00: Like if you listen to the start of the show yesterday, this darkness early in the morning is kicking my butt all of a sudden this year.
- 0:08SPEAKER_01: Oh no.
- 0:09SPEAKER_01: Well, plus you've said just recently, I really need a vacation.
- 0:12SPEAKER_00: That is also a strong possibility of what I need.
- 0:15SPEAKER_01: Um, how was everyone's first day of school?
- 0:18SPEAKER_00: That's what we want to know.
- 0:19SPEAKER_01: Aw, I hope that it was awesome.
- 0:21SPEAKER_01: How was your outfit?
- 0:23SPEAKER_01: Did you get homework?
- 0:25SPEAKER_00: Oh God, on the first day?
- 0:27SPEAKER_01: You never know.
- 0:28SPEAKER_01: That was always a big thing when we were when we went back to school.
- 0:30SPEAKER_01: It was like, Marky got homework and I didn't.
- 0:33SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 0:34SPEAKER_01: Marky's my brother.
- 0:35SPEAKER_00: That to a student.
- 0:37SPEAKER_00: Jeez.
- 0:38SPEAKER_01: I think as you get older, it definitely happens.
- 0:40SPEAKER_01: On day one?
- 0:41SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 0:41SPEAKER_00: No.
- 0:42SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 0:42SPEAKER_00: No.
- 0:43SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 0:44SPEAKER_00: No.
- 0:45SPEAKER_00: Swear.
- 0:45SPEAKER_00: Swear.
- 0:46SPEAKER_00: I mean, unless it's homework, like, well, go home and uh write us a paragraph, just because we want to test your English skills.
- 0:53SPEAKER_00: Write us a paragraph about what your family looks like.
- 0:56SPEAKER_00: Well, I could say, once upon a time I had no dogs.
- 0:59SPEAKER_00: Now I have eight bugs.
- 1:02SPEAKER_00: It's always chaotic and crazy.
- 1:04SPEAKER_00: Looking forward to a great new school year.
- 1:06SPEAKER_01: And also, it was like, what did you do this summer?
- 1:09SPEAKER_00: No, that I remember that.
- 1:10SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 1:11SPEAKER_01: You had to write a little little essay on your family vacation.
- 1:15SPEAKER_01: Because I specifically remember writing about Myrtle Beach one year.
- 1:18SPEAKER_01: Oh, really?
- 1:18SPEAKER_01: Yeah, and I think that was like oh, that was fifth grade.
- 1:22SPEAKER_01: Because I went to Myrtle Beach in between it was the summer of between fourth and fifth grade.
- 1:26SPEAKER_01: So then it and of course it was my first time going and I was so excited.
- 1:29SPEAKER_01: And you know, oh my god.
- 1:30SPEAKER_00: Yeah, no, I I know it.
- 1:31SPEAKER_00: And nowadays kids are like, uh, I don't know what I did.
- 1:35SPEAKER_01: Now uh there is this teacher that has something genius, and I'm gonna play you this audio.
- 1:40SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 1:41SPEAKER_01: This is genius for all kids who are going back to school.
- 1:44SPEAKER_02: When I was young, yes, it was absolutely embarrassing to fart in front of others.
- 1:50SPEAKER_01: She said fart in front of others if you didn't understand that.
- 1:53SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 1:53SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 1:54SPEAKER_01: She kind of sounds like Tiffany Haddish.
- 1:55SPEAKER_00: Anyway, it's a great start too.
- 2:01SPEAKER_02: But these kids are totally different.
- 2:04SPEAKER_02: I noticed a huge change in the last three years.
- 2:07SPEAKER_02: They literally hiced their booties up and fart.
- 2:10SPEAKER_02: There is absolutely zero change.
- 2:13SPEAKER_01: That she created a fart corner for her classroom.
- 2:17SPEAKER_00: Oh, that the stinky corner.
- 2:19SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 2:20SPEAKER_01: But it's perfect because that way, although, you know, everyone knows, I would be in the corner all the time, but everyone knows who's farting.
- 2:28SPEAKER_01: But it if like you always have to have the one kid who starts it.
- 2:31SPEAKER_01: And I think if you're the teacher, you have to encourage the confident kid.
- 2:36SPEAKER_01: You're sure.
- 2:36SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 2:37SPEAKER_01: You can't be the the the quiet kid's not gonna do it.
- 2:39SPEAKER_01: And I'm sure there's still some kid who's like, my belly hurts.
- 2:42SPEAKER_01: I'm gonna do it.
- 2:43SPEAKER_00: I'm gonna bet too this will uh lean towards the boys more than the girls.
- 2:46SPEAKER_00: I think the girls try to hold the composure a little bit longer in certain grades, you know.
- 2:51SPEAKER_00: Uh-huh.
- 2:51SPEAKER_00: Not alley.
- 2:52SPEAKER_01: Oh no, I I I've been openly farting my whole entire life.
- 2:55SPEAKER_01: Wait, hold on a second.
- 2:56SPEAKER_02: That's why we created the fart corner, but I took your mind and we added the gas station.
- 3:07SPEAKER_00: Isn't that adorable?
- 3:09SPEAKER_00: I'm not gonna lie, that's a brilliant move.
- 3:10SPEAKER_00: Exactly.
- 3:11SPEAKER_00: And then if you misbehave, it's brilliant.
- 3:13SPEAKER_00: Because let's say Allie just went in.
- 3:16SPEAKER_00: Like yesterday was a rough day for me yesterday.
- 3:18SPEAKER_01: Oh, please.
- 3:19SPEAKER_01: Like you've never.
- 3:20SPEAKER_00: You're right.
- 3:21SPEAKER_00: It's not the first time, but uh uh she may have used the smooth moves tea the day before to do a little purging from the weekend.
- 3:30SPEAKER_00: And boy, did I get to experience that.
- 3:32SPEAKER_00: So now here's where this works out great.
- 3:34SPEAKER_00: So Allie goes in there and just, you know, decimates the far corner.
- 3:39SPEAKER_00: And then Scott, being the class clown, what do I do?
- 3:41SPEAKER_00: I'm in trouble.
- 3:42SPEAKER_00: Now you make me go stand in the gas chamber.
- 3:45SPEAKER_00: Oh, that's actually a great idea.
- 3:46SPEAKER_00: See, we gotta get in touch with this lady and be like, you're almost there.
- 3:49SPEAKER_00: You just didn't.
- 3:50SPEAKER_00: Yeah, you got the because they don't put kids in the corner anymore.
- 3:53SPEAKER_00: I don't think they do anything like that.
- 3:54SPEAKER_01: I have no clue.
- 3:55SPEAKER_00: I don't think they do any sort of discipline where like a kid goes in a car.
- 3:58SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 3:59SPEAKER_00: Is there a teacher that can answer this?
- 4:00SPEAKER_00: Because I know, PA, you guys are up and and moving around.
- 4:03SPEAKER_00: Did can they other than if you were really bad, you had to go outside the classroom in the hallway.
- 4:09SPEAKER_00: Oh, yes.
- 4:11SPEAKER_00: Yes, yes.
- 4:11SPEAKER_00: Oh, and then the teacher or the assistant principal would come down and have a chat with you.
- 4:15SPEAKER_00: Uh-huh.
- 4:16SPEAKER_00: Oh, that was hell.
- 4:17SPEAKER_00: Uh but uh not that I know.
- 4:18SPEAKER_00: Or you get sent to the office.
- 4:20SPEAKER_00: Oh, that was really that was top tier.
- 4:22SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 4:23SPEAKER_00: That was like you literally pulled, okay, back in my back in my day.
- 4:27SPEAKER_00: You pulled Peggy's pigtails, uh-huh, and she was like, you know, disrupted the whole class.
- 4:31SPEAKER_00: Then I had to go to the office.
- 4:33SPEAKER_00: If I was just sitting around farting at my desk, I might eventually be sent out to the hall.
- 4:37SPEAKER_00: Because you're farting too much.
- 4:39SPEAKER_00: We didn't have a fart corner.
- 4:40SPEAKER_00: Right, right.
- 4:40SPEAKER_01: Uh, but then I don't think you would get sent out in the hall for farting too much.
- 4:44SPEAKER_01: Well, maybe the rest of the class was like, Do you have to use the smooth move teeth?
- 4:48SPEAKER_01: We would first of all, no kid is using smooth move teeth.
- 4:53SPEAKER_01: And it's better than my friend Angie posted this the other day.
- 4:56SPEAKER_01: You know, Angie from Astorn's and Bora.
- 4:58SPEAKER_01: Oh, yeah.
- 4:58SPEAKER_01: She was super bloated for like eight days.
- 5:01SPEAKER_01: So she went to the hospital because she said it looked like she was pregnant.
- 5:06SPEAKER_01: And they gave her that's a lot of gas.
- 5:08SPEAKER_01: They gave her scans.
- 5:09SPEAKER_01: They was, you know, she thought like something was really wrong, right?
- 5:12SPEAKER_01: So they did all these scans or whatever, and she literally was constipated, like full of poo-poo.
- 5:18SPEAKER_01: Wow.
- 5:18SPEAKER_01: And that's and that's what I don't want to be.
- 5:21SPEAKER_00: Uh no.
- 5:22SPEAKER_00: Well, I can tell you you're not.
- 5:23SPEAKER_00: Well, um, right?
- 5:25SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 5:25SPEAKER_00: So maybe a teacher could answer that.
- 5:27SPEAKER_00: Does any kid either go to the corner anymore or have to be put outside the classroom for usually disruption of some kind?
- 5:34SPEAKER_00: You know, you're trying to teach.
- 5:36SPEAKER_01: Mine was always because it was like you're talking too much in class.
- 5:39SPEAKER_00: Oh, that's another that that might go outside the room.
- 5:42SPEAKER_01: Yes, because if you can't stop talking and disrupting the class, then you have to be out of the class.
- 5:47SPEAKER_00: If I'm looking over uh it's a spelling test and I'm looking over your shoulder to figure out how to spell simplicity.
- 5:53SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 5:53SPEAKER_00: Um out of the class, or is that to the office?
- 5:57SPEAKER_01: Ooh, maybe first offense out of the class, second offense in the office.
- 6:01SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 6:01SPEAKER_01: We had a kid one time say the F word to a teacher.
- 6:05SPEAKER_01: I couldn't believe it.
- 6:06SPEAKER_01: I think this is probably more common now, but that kid was back in the day you wouldn't do that.
- 6:12SPEAKER_00: Never.
- 6:12SPEAKER_01: Never.
- 6:13SPEAKER_01: And when it happened, the whole class was and that kid went to the office.
- 6:19SPEAKER_00: That's an office visit.
- 6:20SPEAKER_00: All right, maybe somebody can answer that.
