- 0:44little raspy but i get through it yeah yeah
- 0:48yeah that's what's up man other than
- 0:51that you all right yeah man i can't complain you
- 0:54know weather kind of gloomy here today but just
- 0:58relaxing all right work treating you all right oh yeah you know them late nights
- 1:05starting to slow down that coming home at 2 33 o'clock in the morning is for
- 1:08the birds lord have mercy i don't know how you do it brother i ain't even gonna
- 1:12front then having to get right back up they're like i mean good thing is with this job,
- 1:18If I don't want to leave the house until 10 in the morning, I don't have to.
- 1:22Now, if I still had to come home three in the morning, getting up at six or
- 1:26four, 4.30, five o'clock like I used to. Nah.
- 1:32Nah, I feel you. All right, man. So what you want to get into today,
- 1:35bro? So we're going to talk about what it means to be black. All right.
- 1:41Just exploring all different options on Facebook.
- 1:45You know, the different types of people of color around the world.
- 1:50And I mean, honestly, how we basically discriminate against ourselves a lot
- 1:56in this country. In what way?
- 1:58You know, about being a certain way. You know, if you're not,
- 2:01if you don't behave this way, you're not black.
- 2:04You're not black enough. Not black enough. You know, me, myself being a high
- 2:10yellow brother, you know, I've heard it plenty of times over the years where
- 2:15or you can just tell when people don't rock with you.
- 2:18I don't know if that's because, you know, you light skin or or whatnot.
- 2:24But and I've had people in my own family.
- 2:26You know, it's it's it's funny you say that because when we were children,
- 2:31I was the one who got picked on for being a dark skin brother.
- 2:36Light skin was the thing everybody wanted to be light skin when we were kids
- 2:40nobody wanted to be dark skin and it's funny how those tables have turned now and it's like dark is in.
- 2:48Trends man trends either way it doesn't matter not one bit in the big scope
- 2:56of things right i mean because when you walk into a room the first thing they
- 3:01gonna see is that you black before you open your mouth,
- 3:05before you do anything, the first thing they're going to say is, who's the black guy?
- 3:11And you know what's crazy with that?
- 3:14Is there so many people that hear you say that,
- 3:17And would disagree with you. But the reality is the reality.
- 3:21What's the disagreement, though? Well, now I'm talking about my wife.
- 3:24There's a lot of white folks that would disagree. No, no, no.
- 3:26We don't do that. Because they're dishonest, though. Right.
- 3:31Or just blind.
- 3:34So I'm glad you said that. Because I think when people say that they are colorblind,
- 3:40it's like the biggest cop-out.
- 3:45It's like, no, you're not.
- 3:47I'm colorblind. I don't see race. Yes, you do. We all do.
- 3:52And to me, it's just you, you trying to, and you're supposed to.
- 3:56You're supposed to, right.
- 3:58You're, you're, you're, you're already trying to placate your racism by saying
- 4:02that you're colorblind.
- 4:03It's just like, no, stop it. You do see race.
- 4:06You see that I'm black, knock it off. And I want you to see it.
- 4:10Right. I want you to see the difference in cultures. I want you to celebrate
- 4:16those different cultures.
- 4:18You know, when you decide to take your family to a Mexican restaurant,
- 4:24you can't sit there and tell, well, I don't see race.
- 4:26Right. You're sitting in a Mexican restaurant, Mexican food. Right.
- 4:30Or Tex-Mex, depending on where you are. For sure.
- 4:33You either eat authentic or you eat Tex-Mex. I was about to say most of it is
- 4:36probably Tex-Mex. But yeah, it's just like.
- 4:40It's OK. It's OK that you see that I'm black. Like you said,
- 4:45I want you to see that I'm black.
- 4:47I think if you start going down this path of colorblind, then you can't recognize
- 4:55the struggles that other races have because you're air quotes colorblind.
- 5:02So you can't relate to any any struggle that I have you think is in my head
- 5:08or I'm making it up because you're colorblind and you can't relate to it.
- 5:13And I'm not trying to be funny when I say this. Being colorblind is how you
- 5:17get people like Tim Scott.
- 5:18It's how you get people like what's their names?
- 5:22Byron Donalds. Well, not the the the the the twin. The Hodge twins.
- 5:27Oh, my God. It's how you get cats like that where they feel so accepted into something.
- 5:34I don't even want to talk about them, dude. That, man, that'll be a whole other
- 5:40episode within itself if I started to go down the path about those dudes.
- 5:44But it's like we as black people, we sort of expect ourselves to be monoliths.
- 5:54We get angry when other people stereotype us, but then we get picked on for
- 6:02not fitting into the stereotype.
- 6:05It's so crazy to me. Keep it real. You ain't real. Like you were saying,
- 6:10you ain't black enough. But wait a minute, but what does that mean?
- 6:14I don't I don't know what it means. You know what I'm saying?
- 6:17I got one for you. When we celebrate.
- 6:21The reasons why the area we come from are famous or known outside of where we grew up.
- 6:30Think of the 90s. There's a city that's right next to us that was very famous for something.
- 6:36And we we we murder cap. You proud of that? Right.
- 6:42Right. No, I feel you. I feel you, bro.
- 6:45You know, and we've had this discussion before, but think about it like this.
- 6:51And maybe this doesn't justify the black kids, but you know,
- 6:54when you're a teenager, that's the only time in your life when it's acceptable to be dumb.
- 7:01It makes no sense to me you're a nerd you'd like to study you get good grades,
- 7:10So I'm supposed to be dumb? Then you're missing the whole point. We're here to learn.
- 7:16It's made to feel like if you're smart, then you can't be something else.
- 7:20Like you can only be, like you said right before we started,
- 7:23we put ourselves in categories.
- 7:25Well, if you're smart, that means you can't be cool. And keep in mind, there were movies.
- 7:32Remember, I want to say Nick Cannon and Christina Milian. Oh,
- 7:36the Can't Buy Me Love remake. Okay.
- 7:40But think about that. Yeah. So he couldn't be cool because he was smart or he
- 7:45didn't have, you know, this or that.
- 7:47I understand it's just movies. I get it. But that's real life. Sure.
- 7:52I mean, even even the Urkel had to take the potion to turn into Stefan to be cool.
- 7:59And it's just like, no, bro, just be yourself.
- 8:03Like, just be yourself, bro. It's so. And don't get me wrong.
- 8:07The Urkel character had its own issues.
- 8:10Not one of my favorite characters when we look back through history.
- 8:14But at the same time, it's just like, bro, it's OK to be you.
- 8:18Do you you know what i'm saying who's to
- 8:21say that a blur a black nerd is less
- 8:24black than a black rapper no you're
- 8:28all black who's to say someone like neil
- 8:31degrasse tyson who's the smartest or one of the smartest people on this planet
- 8:36is less black than you know somebody else who and it's just like why why why
- 8:42can't it just be both because the same thing when he walks into a room, well, maybe not now,
- 8:48but before he became famous Neil deGrasse Tyson,
- 8:52when he walks in a room, the first thing they see is, who's the black guy?
- 8:57He's black just like us. And it's like, we should not pick on,
- 9:03ridicule, ostracize people because they're different.
- 9:08You got to be the first. You know what I'm saying? We always say we need more
- 9:12black this. We need more black that. We need more black astronauts.
- 9:16We need more black dancers. We need more black. Pick something.
- 9:21Well, in order to be that, somebody got to step outside the box and do it and
- 9:27do it because everybody can't be the hood version of that.
- 9:32It's just not going to work. We need more black politicians.
- 9:36Well, someone has to become that guy.
- 9:39So even though behind the scenes and, you know, we we can also do a whole different
- 9:45episode about this. Richard Williams.
- 9:49Richard Williams took his daughters. A visionary to write a visionary.
- 9:55But quietly, he was away from from the public eye.
- 10:00He was doing some things behind the scenes that that was just wild.
- 10:04But the fact that we only focused on them being from Compton.
- 10:09Right. You and I know why the news was so entrenched with them being from Compton.
- 10:15Of course. Oh, my God. These poor.
- 10:17Yeah. Stupid people. Yeah.
- 10:20Did something that no one else could not realizing how smart they were. Right.
- 10:25How smart Richard Williams was. And dedicated. And dedicated to making sure
- 10:30that those two children achieved success.
- 10:36And then, of course, as they got older, it was lifted, put on their shoulders to be successful.
- 10:41Right. So it's I mean, I kind of lost my train of thought of where I was going with that.
- 10:47But no, I mean, but it's it's it's it's it's good because look at what they've helped spawn.
- 10:56I'm not saying they directly influenced Naomi, but now you got Naomi.
- 11:01Now you got Coco. What was the other girl who who who lost?
- 11:06I can't call her name. The sister from from the city from the one that had the
- 11:10baby and she had made her come back. She had her son.
- 11:13Yeah. I can't call her name. I'm sorry, sis, if you're listening.
- 11:16But yeah, they spawned the next generation. Right. So we need that first.
- 11:23And I'm pretty sure they got picked on. Y'all play tennis.
- 11:28Woo-dee-woop-dee-woo. Y'all ain't gonna make it. Ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha.
- 11:33You know what's wild? Who's laughing now? You know what's wild?
- 11:35You know who was a great tennis player?
- 11:37And if with just a little bit of investment into his life, his life would have
- 11:43been completely different.
- 11:45Rick Roth. Freeway with Ricky Ross.
- 11:47The rapper? No. No, the real Rick Roth. Oh, okay.
- 11:53No, the real Rick Roth. Okay, okay, okay. Yeah, he was an above average tennis player. Interesting.
- 12:00But he didn't really have the grades. And he also obviously famously didn't
- 12:04have anybody in his corner pushing it.
- 12:06But no, they say he was an outstanding tennis player.
- 12:09Well, it's one of those sports like golf.
- 12:14You got to have money or you got to have a benefactor to do it.
- 12:19Yeah, because you could sit in your front yard and swing the club for hours.
- 12:22You ain't got no golf balls. You don't have a club to go to.
- 12:27Right. You got to get on the courses. You know what I'm saying?
- 12:31And then you need entry fees and all of that kind of stuff. It takes money.
- 12:37There is a reason why there's not a lot of us there. One, we don't want to play
- 12:41it because it's not cool, but it also takes money.
- 12:43You know what I'm saying? Think about outside of America, because I know there
- 12:48is a ton of black foreigners that play soccer.
- 12:51But who's the great black soccer player?
- 12:55You know what I'm saying? And if we try, you'll be like, bro, you play soccer?
- 13:01Until you get that $250 million contract, and then it'll be like, oh, bro, play soccer.
- 13:08Well, I know who it is. I can't believe I can't think of his name right now.
- 13:12The young brother that played for France, he just left.
- 13:15You're not talking about Freddie Adua, are you? No, no, no, no.
- 13:18No, shoot, man. Freddie Adua, shoot, that'd be almost 40 now. Is he?
- 13:23I don't keep away. What is his name? He's literally one of the best soccer players
- 13:28in the world, like top three or four in the world.
- 13:31But he played for France. I think he just left and went to another club.
- 13:36But yeah, that brother, I forget his name. But even that, the fact that we don't
- 13:42know his name, we don't know who he is, says everything that we're talking about, right?
- 13:47If he was the best basketball player, we damn sure know who he was.
- 13:52If he was the best football player, we'd know who he was.
- 13:56Even track and field or baseball, we'd know who he was.
- 14:00But it's just, it's so, like, take for instance, Misty Copeland.
- 14:06I'm sure a lot of people don't know who Misty Copeland is. Man,
- 14:10I heard that name in a long time.
- 14:12Kylian Mbappe. Okay. But back to Misty. Mm-hmm.
- 14:19One of the first, right? National ballerinas to lead a dance troupe.
- 14:24Why don't we know that? Why don't we celebrate Misty?
- 14:29You know, and why would we look at her and go, yeah, but she ain't.
- 14:36You know what I'm saying?
- 14:37But she ain't. How do you know?
- 14:40Yeah. I'm sure in those spaces where she's probably the only black or one of
- 14:48a few, she experienced just as much racism as anybody else, if not more.
- 14:56And it's just like, why, why, why don't we wrap our arms around those type of people?
- 15:02And why don't we encourage our kids to step outside the box and be the first,
- 15:10break down a barrier, so to speak i think
- 15:13one of the things that i notice a lot of just me
- 15:16personally is that some people stay in the spotlight
- 15:18for a really long time and of course excuse me
- 15:22you have some black artists white artists hispanic artists
- 15:25that stay in the spotlight for a while but it seems like some of those people like
- 15:28you just mentioned with her that just kind of slowly
- 15:31fade away they're still doing their thing but we just stop
- 15:34paying attention exactly and that even
- 15:37though then you look up what they're doing you go oh man they're
- 15:41doing great right but nobody's paying attention you
- 15:44find out that they've been on broadway that they've done right they've they've
- 15:48won a tony award sure or something sure and and and we're not even paying attention
- 15:53right all of the time right breaking down all kind of barriers and and not getting
- 15:58the love from her community not getting love from us.
- 16:02You know, it's just like, I don't know, man. It's like, can we please stop.
- 16:09Ourselves in boxes, quit putting limitations on ourselves with this whole,
- 16:17there's only one way to be black.
- 16:19You're not black enough type deal. I'm black regardless, regardless of what
- 16:25I like or don't like, I'm still black. And it's okay.
- 16:30I also think one of the big issues is the difference in generations.
- 16:35Like certain generations focus on certain things. And when the new generation
- 16:39comes up. Because we do it.
- 16:42Lord knows we do it. We see things that our kids do and we're like, yo.
- 16:47We would have never done that. We would have never done this.
- 16:51And then it makes you think about our parents.
- 16:54But of course, our parents were coming off of the civil rights era.
- 16:57So obviously, they were going to have critiques about us.
- 17:00But what has changed? I mean, our generation focused on a lot of self-expression.
- 17:07This generation focuses on a lot of self-expression but
- 17:10i think well one of the issues that i have in our community i think
- 17:13everybody focus on self-expression but
- 17:16it was like they all went to the same school hey hey let's all look alike there's
- 17:22no individuality well everybody looks the same yeah yeah yeah think about think
- 17:30about hip-hop and what is devolved because i don't want to say it evolved.
- 17:34No, it is devolved the last one. What is devolved into all the rappers damn near sound the same.
- 17:42And it's crazy how when we were teenagers in the 90s, we had conscious rappers.
- 17:49You got ran out of the business if you sounded like somebody else.
- 17:52There is that. You definitely couldn't. You had to have your own unique style, your own unique sound.
- 17:58But how the gangster rap basically ran the conscious rappers out of the industry.
- 18:05And it's just like, why wasn't there room for both? Now, we know why there wasn't room for both.
- 18:12That's a different story a different topic but it's
- 18:15like why did the record companies push
- 18:18this on our community and this is the
- 18:21way you have to be while the conscious rappers who
- 18:24was saying something positive who was talking about
- 18:27black power and uplifting black
- 18:30people why they got phased out of the rap gang
- 18:33you know what i'm saying and then it got
- 18:37to the point where if you tried to be a
- 18:39conscious rapper when you didn't get sales and
- 18:42then you were considered corny you were lame and it's
- 18:46just like well no why because I
- 18:49don't want to kill 20 n-words in my
- 18:51song lame because I'm saying go
- 18:54study because I want to talk about Mansa Musa
- 18:57I'm lame come on man knock it
- 19:00off knock it off it's like it it
- 19:03it should be space for all of that
- 19:06you know what I'm saying if you if if you want
- 19:09to be that dude that need 20 people
- 19:12to get that's cool if that's what you like
- 19:15that's cool i'm not telling you not to listen to it i'm not telling you not
- 19:19to be that but at the same time if i don't want to hear that does that make
- 19:24me any less real does that make me any less black because i don't want to hear
- 19:28about 20 dudes getting killed in my song think about this too hip-hop is the
- 19:33one of the only genres where you're just hip-hop.
- 19:36Everything is devolved together. There's no adult.
- 19:39There's no soft rock. There's no hard rock. There's no heavy metal.
- 19:45It's just, oh, we're just going to put y'all all into one group.
- 19:49Whereas when I, because my ears still work pretty well.
- 19:53When you got people like Nas, still better than 90% of the young rappers out there.
- 19:59Method Man dropping random freestyles that sound better than anything you've
- 20:03heard in the last 15 to 20 years.
- 20:06But yet, people like The Game, back when, on his second album,
- 20:11was talking about rappers still being 36 rapping.
- 20:14Right. Here he is at 43, 44, still touring the world, still rapping.
- 20:20What's wrong with people like maybe the Wu-Tang Clan in five years when they're
- 20:28in their late 50s? I mean, Dre still do it. Right.
- 20:31That they can't go out and tour the world. Right.
- 20:34The Rolling Stones still tour. So, and I know I've mentioned this to you once
- 20:38before, one of the things that the difference between our generation of music
- 20:43and the younger generation, Eric Sermon was on with Willie D.
- 20:47Some months back, he was performing in Houston. And he said,
- 20:51I have music that I made 30 plus years ago that I can get on stage tonight,
- 20:57rap, and everybody in the crowd is rapping.
- 21:00I can do that same show 15 years from now and get the same reaction.
- 21:06And he mentioned a couple of younger up and coming rappers, specifically one from St.
- 21:10Louis, who he was like, she's going to have adult kids one day.
- 21:16And at 45, she's not going to get up on stage talking about the stuff that she was talking about.
- 21:22It's not it's not going to.
- 21:26Span decades right now i was
- 21:28listening to you guys to shill and i said it
- 21:31like they say it like three days ago that came
- 21:35out when we were 13 yeah it was banging i already know 13 yeah and it still
- 21:42yeah gets heavy rotation yeah without a doubt without a doubt we we we over
- 21:48on this segment but i just i
- 21:49just really really quickly i just want to say this also something about us,
- 21:55And I could be wrong on this, but it seems like we're the only group of people
- 22:01who encourages others not to vote.
- 22:07I don't know for a fact, but I don't think white people tell other white people not to vote.
- 22:13I don't think Hispanics tell other Hispanics not to vote.
- 22:18But black people quick to tell you, man, ain't voting, man.
- 22:23Forget that. Why you vote, bro? Famous black folk.
- 22:27It doesn't make sense to me. How are we supposed to advance?
- 22:31How are we supposed to fight?
- 22:34We're literally relinquishing our power by not participating in voting.
- 22:41You want to know why policies don't cater to us?
- 22:45Because you don't vote. And they know you're not going to, so they're not going
- 22:51to make their policies adapt to you. Us not voting is very apparent with all
- 22:55the nonsense we're going through right now.
- 22:57It just baffles me that we will be like, man, don't vote.
- 23:03Why are you going to vote, man? I don't vote. I ain't wasting my time with that.
- 23:07Man, she locked up all them black people. Oh, my God. As if they didn't commit crimes.
- 23:13As if any of that nonsense that they were spewing was actually true.
- 23:17Right. Because it wasn't.
- 23:19But even if it was, it's her job. I can't believe the prosecutor locked up somebody.
- 23:25Right. What? It's her job.
- 23:27Instead of you being mad at the person that committed the crime,
- 23:31you mad at the prosecutor for doing what she is paid to do.
- 23:37But again, we're also some of the same people that have watched somebody mow
- 23:40down 20 people and then get T-shirts to say, free my dog on it the next day.
- 23:46That's a whole different conversation. Yeah. Like I was saying,
- 23:51y'all, we went over a little bit on this segment, but it's all good.
- 23:54We're going to keep it rolling.
- 23:56So now we're going to roll into some current events. You want to take us there, brother? I do.
- 24:02But let me, because it's interesting. So I came across...
- 24:08A story on Instagram. A guy was talking about it. You ever heard the name Marion Stokes?
- 24:14No. So Marion Stokes is a former journalist and a librarian.
- 24:20And in 1977, and this is only, I'm only bringing this up in current events because
- 24:26when I get to the end, it's still going on today.
- 24:29So in 1977, up until her death in 2012, I believe December 2012.
- 24:36She recorded different channels of
- 24:40tv 24 7 365 days
- 24:44a year because she knew
- 24:47she felt back then that the technology would take over and people who were smarter
- 24:53than than that generation will twist the narrative of historical events so there's
- 25:00there are pictures you can look them up online there are pictures of like a
- 25:03dresser of stacks and stacks of VCRs.
- 25:06Oh, wow. Where she was recording different channels.
- 25:09She ended up rotating her entire life around those eight hour periods because,
- 25:15you know, those VHS in Vegas only did eight hours.
- 25:19So she from 77 to 2012.
- 25:23Now, when she got older and got sick, she hired an assistant to help,
- 25:27but she never missed changing those tapes.
- 25:30So there would be maybe a 20 second delay in certain videos because she had
- 25:36to take it out and put a new one in.
- 25:38So when it was all said and done, her apartment was full of them.
- 25:41She rented several storage units and she passed away in 2012.
- 25:46And I forget what they say the last thing was that she recorded.
- 25:48Oh, it was coverage of the Sandy Hook shooting.
- 25:51It was the very last thing on her very last tape.
- 25:5471,000 tapes.
- 25:58When she passed, her son ended up donating everything to the Internet Archive,
- 26:04which is one of the only companies still trying to keep everything free and public to everyone.
- 26:10So they're digitizing everything.
- 26:12Six shipping containers and $16,000 to ship them across the country to their
- 26:21headquarters in San Francisco. Okay.
- 26:23It's still going on today. they're still
- 26:26digitizing her tapes from 2000 she passed
- 26:30to 2012 right they're still digitizing everything
- 26:33in 2025 yeah but the
- 26:36reason it was so interesting to me is because of the people that talked to her
- 26:40said that the reason she was doing it is because she knew she felt the shift
- 26:45after after the 60s she said she just kind of felt funny and she started recording
- 26:51everything because she felt that somebody was going to come along and try to
- 26:54alter the narrative of history.
- 26:56And I'll be damned. Here we are. Man, that's divine intervention.
- 27:00That's foresight right there, bro. And not only different news programs,
- 27:06like she recorded Cosby Show and all of that stuff, but TV commercials. Mm-hmm.
- 27:14I bet you some of those are probably wild. So they say also that a lot of people
- 27:19in Hollywood, black, white directors, producers,
- 27:22are going to the Internet Archive to like work with them to look at some of
- 27:27their her footage with the help with their documentaries and their movies.
- 27:32Hollywood has even got involved. Yeah.
- 27:34To help out. I hope they paying her son his royalties for that. I don't know.
- 27:39Honestly, though, Internet Archives, you know, I saw a lot.
- 27:43There were a lot of people. No, not as far as them, but if Hollywood producers,
- 27:48documentaries, filmmakers, whatever, is using her information,
- 27:52then her family should be compensated.
- 27:56That's all I'm saying. Well, I saw people getting mad because he donated.
- 28:01I'm like, what he going to do with me? Yeah, just going to sit with him.
- 28:05If he digitized it, he'd be 100 years old by the time he got done.
- 28:08So right yeah that's the only reason i brought up as
- 28:11a current event because as of today they are still converting
- 28:15that's interesting man 71 000 it
- 28:18was like 71 800 and some change no that's that's that's interesting i i like
- 28:24that actually i mean of course i'm weird anyway but i like i like stuff like
- 28:29that man i mean that's a lot of information a lot of knowledge and a lot of
- 28:33money spent on vhs Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
- 28:37Yeah. And and to preserve those things, you know what I'm saying? In their original form.
- 28:45Yeah, I get it. I get the mission. I get it. One hundred percent.
- 28:49That's all you got for your current event? That's what I got. All right.
- 28:52Well, I want to spend the next couple of minutes discussing the young Nazis
- 28:56and their tweet, group chat, whatever you want to call it. They got exposed. But they're kids, man.
- 29:04That's first. First and foremost, these are not kids.
- 29:10All of them are over 18. Some of them as old as 40.
- 29:17You may be immature, but you are not a kid at that point.
- 29:23But this is what I want to talk about.
- 29:26Right. One that that J.D. Vance made a complete clown of himself trying to call
- 29:32them kids and comparing comparing them to his children.
- 29:36It's like, dude, that is so misleading because none of them are children.
- 29:41But I want to I want to touch on this thing. Right.
- 29:44How can you say I love Hitler?
- 29:47How can you talk about putting people in the gas chamber?
- 29:51How can Elon Musk throw up a hail Hitler at the inauguration?
- 29:56How come a Republican just got caught with a altered with an altered American
- 30:03flag to include the swastika in the middle of the flag, which was not an optical
- 30:09illusion. It was what it was.
- 30:11That is what it was. How can you do all of these things and then say, don't call us Nazis?
- 30:19What in God's green earth are you talking about? You're a effing Nazi.
- 30:25If you love Hitler, you're a Nazi.
- 30:29If you infuse the American flag with a swastika, you're a Nazi.
- 30:34If you make excuses for the guy who did the Heil Hitler at the inauguration, you're a Nazi.
- 30:43Knock it off with all of this. Stop calling us Nazis. Stop calling us fascists. You're that.
- 30:50You're that. You're all of that. Stop trying to gaslight us.
- 30:55It's who you are. Embrace it, fool.
- 30:58But those same people will then turn around and show undying support.
- 31:05Don't even say it. I know where you're going. Don't say it. So which is it?
- 31:09Don't say it. You know, we can't say it.
- 31:13Do you hate them? Like, I'm confused. You can't like you can't have it both ways. Right.
- 31:19And if I am that group of people, I'm going, yo, what y'all doing over there?
- 31:24Well, of course, I mean, I'd ask them the same thing. Right. Right.
- 31:27But I mean, in this situation, I'm like, yo, so what's up with your party over
- 31:33there? Because they fund.
- 31:35Mm hmm. They fund. And with those funds.
- 31:41This group chat would have got all of those dudes locked up in Germany.
- 31:44And I'm not just saying that they would have been prosecuted.
- 31:48Well, it is a crime in Germany to do any of that.
- 31:52Here's the other thing, bro.
- 31:55It's been three weeks since the whole Jimmy Kimmel debacle.
- 32:01Y'all wanted this dude fired.
- 32:05Saying something that was true. Y'all wanted him fired, kicked off the air.
- 32:11Y'all want Stephen Colbert fired,
- 32:14kicked off the air because y'all don't agree with the things he say.
- 32:17But yet, J.D. Clown, these guys' lives shouldn't be ruined because they did something stupid.
- 32:24No, their lives should be ruined because you want to ruin everyone else's lives
- 32:30with things that you don't agree with.
- 32:33You trying to prosecute Comey and I'm no Comey fan or John Bolton or John Bolton.
- 32:40You want to prosecute those guys because they disagree with you.
- 32:44You want to ruin their lives. You want to put these dudes in jail because they disagree with you.
- 32:51You trying to prosecute Tish James because she did her job.
- 32:56She didn't falsify any documents. You were found liable You were found guilty.
- 33:04And now you're like, how dare you find me guilty? How dare you hold me accountable?
- 33:10But these dudes don't ruin their lives.
- 33:13This is just some some guys just, you know, saying some bad things,
- 33:18but their lives shouldn't be run. Their lives should 100 percent be run.
- 33:22These guys should have no business holding public office. No.
- 33:27If you have racist views like this, what do you think your policies would be?
- 33:33Project 2025. Oh, I said the quiet part out loud. Oh, my goodness.
- 33:39Because eventually some of those people will try to run for,
- 33:42you know, congressmen and whatnot. Of course. Everybody in your district is not a Republican.
- 33:47Of course. So you can't be the congressman of some people like or the president
- 33:54of some people. Well, this idiot seemed to think so.
- 33:58Oh, did you know that there's a dinner tonight in Florida?
- 34:02Four. Well, what are we at? Day 17 or 18 of the shutdown? Something like that. So let's just say 17.
- 34:07So on day 17 of the shutdown, there is a $1 million per plate fundraiser at Mar-a-Lago tonight.
- 34:16Oh, my goodness.
- 34:18See, this is tonight. Probably going to start here in about 10 minutes.
- 34:25This is where I feel like, okay, I get it.
- 34:29You want people to keep their health care. I get that. And that's noble.
- 34:33But man, every day you should just be on TV talking about the corruption.
- 34:39Every time they mention Epstein, talk about the corruption.
- 34:43Every time they mention anything, talk about the corruption because it's all just pure corruption.
- 34:51It's someone getting paid in the end. It's all just a monument's clause.
- 34:58What's that? This guy has nuked that.
- 35:00Just talk about the corruption. Tie everything to the corruption, whatever it is.
- 35:06Tie it to the corruption because it's going to all lead back to some money changing
- 35:10hands. The Supreme Court is about to run out of money.
- 35:13Funny you mentioned the shutdown, bro. Because, you know, who's still getting
- 35:16paid? Congress, the Senate.
- 35:21High-level staffers. Yep. Peak Headself. Pam Bondi.
- 35:26Stephen Miller. They're all still getting paid. But the people that are working
- 35:29for some of those people.
- 35:31They don't get paid. They had to turn in their badges, their phones.
- 35:34Because there was a young lady who's a Republican.
- 35:36She did a video at the National Mall.
- 35:40And she said she was just leaving the offices and turning in everything.
- 35:45And now she didn't know what she was going to do.
- 35:47Congress has been out of session for, what, two weeks now, bro?
- 35:50Dude, I think it's been longer than that. But y'all still getting paid?
- 35:54Man, we should run for Congress, shit. Man. Best job ever.
- 35:59You don't have to show up and you still get paid? Nah, the best thing is we
- 36:03don't have experience other than just watching TV and doing a lot of reading.
- 36:09Hey.
- 36:11See, your boy just got out of jail today. Yeah, I saw. Santos.
- 36:14Saw that last night. Got his sentence commuted.
- 36:18But y'all the law and order party,
- 36:20right? But y'all go out of y'all way to pardon or commute criminals.
- 36:27But you're the law and order party.
- 36:30All of this ice in Chicago and Portland and D.C., all this about crime.
- 36:38But y'all going out of y'all way to let criminals back on the street make it
- 36:45make sense whatever happened to the days of because republicans were notorious
- 36:49for this republicans would,
- 36:51despise and we've got movies in hollywood that show what happens when federal
- 36:56agents come into towns they get run out they've always talked about you know
- 37:02government overreach fbi shouldn't be sent there this person shouldn't be sent
- 37:07there but it's so funny to me that now they welcome it,
- 37:11because because they're in power as much as i
- 37:14hate to say these words with
- 37:17with he is and i'm not just
- 37:20saying it to be funny like he is their lord and savior no that's true that that
- 37:26no but i don't know what it is with this clown because let's be real this dude
- 37:31has been despised in every category of his life until he switched from Democrat
- 37:36to Republican and ran for president.
- 37:39Was considered a clown by the socialites in New York City and everywhere else
- 37:43in this country. I'm going to go a little further.
- 37:47It wasn't until he ran. It was until he won.
- 37:52Even while he was running, they didn't like him.
- 37:55Remember, Lindsey Graham was on TV calling him poison.
- 38:00He said the choice between Ted Cruz and Trump, one was poison and the other was arsenic.
- 38:06They didn't even like him until he won.
- 38:09Well, pre-beard J.D. Vance used to sit up there and talk all types of trash.
- 38:13Say he was America's Hitler.
- 38:15But don't call y'all Nazis. Your own vice president called you a Nazi.
- 38:20And your own vice president used to, because I don't care what y'all say.
- 38:24He ain't my vice president. He used to love Obama.
- 38:27Yeah. He was an Obama guy. That guy, I don't even know if there's a word low enough for him.
- 38:37Because, I mean, he clearly believes in nothing.
- 38:42What does he stand for? No one knows. Today is this. Tomorrow is something else.
- 38:46If it benefits his career, you can't you can't be around guys like that.
- 38:51My question is, what is he doing?
- 38:52Because remember, when the last vice president was it was in office,
- 38:56we were trying to figure out what she was doing every day. Right. So what is he doing?
- 39:00Is he is he like defending young Nazis? Yeah, that's his that's his job to defend
- 39:05young Nazis and just go on the airwaves and gaslight America and spew nonsense.
- 39:10That's his job he's the mouthpiece for
- 39:14the party because he's a good speaker because
- 39:17he's eloquent please man we see through you
- 39:20bro sorry y'all we we uh these are
- 39:23the type of tangents we have we on the phone too we just yeah and we have definitely
- 39:27gone over again on another segment but we're gonna keep it pushing we're gonna
- 39:32we're gonna leave it there for now and we're gonna we're gonna keep pushing
- 39:34so where are we at i think i think we're on our work segment bro everyone's
- 39:39favorite are rant about a random topic.
- 39:42So go ahead, bro. How about it?
- 39:44So my random topic is this and it, and I thought about it driving over.
- 39:48I think about it a lot, especially when I'm driving at night.
- 39:51One, why don't we use glow in the dark paint on our streets?
- 39:58Well, it is supposed to illuminate when the. I mean, legit neon green.
- 40:04So even when your lights don't hit it, you can still see it. That's interesting.
- 40:08So it is it's currently being used in the Netherlands, Malaysia and Australia.
- 40:16I believe the Netherlands has a pilot project where they've got a stretch of highway.
- 40:22Let me see if it'll say it absorbs daylight and glows for up to 8 to 10 hours at night.
- 40:28So it absorbs the daylight and illuminates at night.
- 40:33Every car in this damn country is starting to move their headlights higher and higher, which is why.
- 40:40So they're not pointing at the ground anymore. Right.
- 40:43Okay. Which is why when people are coming toward you now at night.
- 40:46It's in your face. It looks like that they have their high heels on.
- 40:50But then as they pass you, you go They didn't have the high beams on. Why is this so bright?
- 40:55This would help in so many ways because as much driving as I do at night,
- 41:01especially out on the north side of Indy, where some of those two lane roads is not that bright.
- 41:06Having that because if a car is coming at you on two lane roads up there, you can't see any.
- 41:11You just hold the wheel and hope that you stay straight.
- 41:15Yeah. So like one of my my my that's one of my biggest issues is I don't understand
- 41:21why we won't use this like pilot programs.
- 41:25Like pick a stretch of highway in New York or L.A., Chicago, Miami. Try it out.
- 41:32I'm sure it'll cut down on some of the need, especially when you're on 65 North headed back home.
- 41:38There's certain parts outside of Lafayette where it's just pitch black. Sure.
- 41:42And with that paint on the roads, I just think that it would help out a lot.
- 41:47Well, I'm going to piggyback on that since we're talking about highways and highway safety.
- 41:53You know what I've always wondered? is why in the hell don't they have six-foot
- 41:58fences to keep the wildlife off the highway?
- 42:02I know that would be expensive. I know some of that isn't their land.
- 42:07But it's just like, why do you just let them roam free?
- 42:13Eventually, it's going to be an accident. I've never understood why.
- 42:17And I know that deer can jump a six-foot fence.
- 42:22Nine times out of 10, they're not going to, you know, it's like,
- 42:26why on air, especially like you said, the dark country roads or whatnot.
- 42:30There should definitely be some type of barrier between the forest and the highway
- 42:37to keep the wildlife contained.
- 42:41If we're talking about safety, you know what I'm saying?
- 42:44And I mean, it is is not just tearing up your car, but it could save a life or two.
- 42:52That that that's always been like like
- 42:55this seems like a really simple solution why
- 42:58won't they do it but that's just me
- 43:01i mean who who knows i said maybe maybe it got something to do with eminent
- 43:05domain and all of that kind of stuff so i'm not a let me there are several states
- 43:12some states have that have the uh the wildlife crossings where they build the
- 43:16bridges and over the top of the bridges is vegetation,
- 43:20so grass and whatnot.
- 43:23So there, see, I wish I would have had the states,
- 43:29but yeah, there are several states where there are actual bridges for wildlife
- 43:33to walk across and they're going to be more attracted to where the grass is
- 43:37to just walk across the bridge.
- 43:39I mean, granted, she's still going to have deer trampling across the highway,
- 43:43but it actually, they actually do exist. Interesting.
- 43:48Have to look that up yeah that's that's that's that's that's interesting
- 43:51yeah it's just yeah it's just it's just one of those
- 43:54things where yeah they look like this okay okay
- 43:57whenever okay okay yeah yeah yeah whenever i'm
- 44:00you know taking a road trip or whatever i always just think why
- 44:04why why please don't jump out please and and
- 44:07and man oh there was
- 44:10man i came really close one time bro
- 44:12i did i did too i was coming from south bend and
- 44:16on 31 one ran out out
- 44:20of nowhere i seen him move down
- 44:23the road a couple hundred feet another one ran i'm just like geez oh p what
- 44:27are we doing here when i lived in bloomington and i think i told you that night
- 44:31i was coming back home real real late and i got off on the highway where you
- 44:36can when you're on headed towards Bloomington, but you can get off on that bridge.
- 44:41And man, that fool just jumped right across the highway, about 10 feet in front of me.
- 44:46Crazy. And then, of course, he used to come out the house going to work at like
- 44:495 in the morning and they would just be roaming around where our townhome was.
- 44:53Because on both sides of that townhome was a bunch of trees.
- 44:58Yeah. And it was nothing to open the door and they'd just be walking in the street.
- 45:01Bro, I see him back here all the time. Mm-hmm.
- 45:05I mean, like, I've actually looked out this patio window and seen one like basically at my fence,
- 45:13and the fence probably the only thing from keeping him being in my yard and
- 45:16I know he can jump it when he wants to but probably ain't gonna if he don't
- 45:21see anything he wants over here he ain't he not gonna jump yes yes exactly.
- 45:26Yeah, it's crazy, bro. It's what your boys say on Get Out.
- 45:32They're a nuisance. Oh, yeah, yeah.
- 45:37I feel the exact same way. They're a nuisance.
- 45:40And I'm not a hunter, guys. I'm not a hunter, and I don't believe in killing animals for sport.
- 45:46But something has to be done to keep these jokers off of the highways.
- 45:52To me, it's just a safety issue.
- 45:54That's my work. For this week, guys.
- 45:58So now we're going to move on to five on the black hand side.
- 46:03What movie would you like to talk about today, bro?
- 46:06We'll do it. Talk about I'm going to get you sucker. Let's do it.
- 46:09I'm going to get you sucker. I'm going to get you sucker. Came out what?
- 46:1488. 88. 88.
- 46:17Starring Kenan Ivory Wayans, Bernie Casey, Jim Brown, Isaac Hayes, Bill Fargus.
- 46:25Antonio Fargus. That's the one I couldn't think of. Antonio Fargus,
- 46:28Steve James, God rest his soul. Janet Dubois. Janet Dubois.
- 46:33What's so girl from a different world? Why can't I call her? Don Lewis. Don Lewis.
- 46:38Deem Hardison, Damon Wayans. Wow, Chris Rock had a cameo in it.
- 46:44Just David Allen Greer. Robin Harris.
- 46:47Robin Harris sparked so many careers.
- 46:51And uncredited Hammond, Indiana's own.
- 46:55Go for it. Bobby Martis. Go for it, bro. My peep. Go for it.
- 47:00Don't even in there. That's what's up, man.
- 47:02That's what's up. Yeah, so I'm going to get you suckers about a guy coming home
- 47:07from the military and realizing how much his neighborhood has changed and he
- 47:15wants to basically clean up the streets.
- 47:20Now, in the movie, they're going after gold chains.
- 47:25Gold chains is the epidemic that they want to stop.
- 47:31But being grownups, we all know that the gold chains were an allegory for the crack epidemic.
- 47:40So the guy, yes, basically his brother gets killed and he's trying to get revenge
- 47:48and find out who killed his brother. But how did he die?
- 47:52He OG'd. He OG'd a gold chain overdose.
- 47:58Man, hey, I'm sitting over while you're talking I'm sitting over here trying
- 48:01not to laugh Because just the whole Like,
- 48:07start the movie with this. And you're like, what happened? Yeah.
- 48:11And the crazy thing is, is every time they show this picture,
- 48:15damn, how'd he go to the bathroom with all that shit on? Exactly.
- 48:19Everybody. And it was the exact same thing I thought the first time I seen the movie.
- 48:24Yeah. Yeah. So, oh, man.
- 48:28I mean, like I always say, I don't I don't want to give away the jokes,
- 48:31but there are so many just in-your-face jokes.
- 48:37Gosh, when his mama is fighting the thugs.
- 48:41And she got a mustache and a half, bro. Yes, yes, yes. The stunt double is a
- 48:47man, and you can clearly see it.
- 48:50It's like Michael Jordan's mother in Come Fly With Me. Yes, yes,
- 48:54yes. Just that on-the-nose comedy.
- 48:59Oh, man, bro. Big Red is in this movie.
- 49:06The usual crew that Kenan Ivey Wands and Robert Townsend always had.
- 49:10Yeah, Big Red is in the movie.
- 49:12Clarence Williams III has a cameo in the movie with Dan Brady from the Brady Bunch.
- 49:19Which might just be the funniest part of the whole movie.
- 49:22Oh, man. Yeah, there's...
- 49:26Guys, just go watch it, okay?
- 49:29Jess, I think the humor still tracks. Absolutely. Absolutely.
- 49:35Sit down. You got an hour and a half and just watch.
- 49:40I'm going to get you suck. No. Yeah. I said Chris Rock had a cameo.
- 49:44Yeah. I thought I did. Did I not?
- 49:46I'm not sure. I thought I did.
- 49:49Also hilarious. Also hilarious. And listen, guys, it's a spoof.
- 49:56Think scary movie, right? marlin and
- 49:59shine making a spoof of the scary the
- 50:02the the horror movies well i'm gonna get
- 50:05you sucker is basically a spoof of all of the
- 50:0870s black exploitation movies so you know if if you've seen shaft or superfly
- 50:17or truck turner or any of the excuse me all of the jim brown movies you would
- 50:24totally made the connection that that's what they're going for.
- 50:27Jim Kelly movies, you know, they're all basically supposed to be one of those type of characters.
- 50:36So it's a huge spoof, but it's hilarious.
- 50:40They just hit the nail on the head as far as spoofing all of those guys and
- 50:45making fun of those old movies that, you know, are not that good,
- 50:52but we consider them to be cult classics.
- 50:56Just sitting there laughing, thinking about Fly Guy walking on the fish tanks, man.
- 51:00Yeah, man. That fool had fish. My favorite, though, is when he's walking down
- 51:03the street in the background.
- 51:05His own theme music is back there laughing at him. But no, when the one day
- 51:10he's like, girl, look, he got fish tanks in his shoes. He must be a superstar.
- 51:13Yeah, he thought he was cool, too.
- 51:20Yeah, that fool had... Oh, and a hell of a soundtrack, too. Oh,
- 51:24great. Hell of a soundtrack, man. Yeah. her.
- 51:27All the old school cuts and BDP as well. Yeah, Jack of Spades, the theme song. Yeah.
- 51:34Yeah, basically put the Wayne Brothers on the map for the most part.
- 51:41You know, even though Kenan had helped write like Raw and I think Damon had
- 51:47made an appearance and where Damon was in Colors.
- 51:51Oh, man. Yeah, yeah. Great performance in Colors. Yeah, Damon was in Colors,
- 51:55and I think Damon was in Beverly Hills Cop, right?
- 51:58Yeah, he was the gay dude. Yeah, the banana guy. But the bananas.
- 52:03Yeah. Go ahead, take those. Don't tell nobody.
- 52:05Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. So they weren't brand new to Hollywood,
- 52:10but this was probably breakout performances for all of them,
- 52:15including David Allen Greer.
- 52:18And and and probably i don't know
- 52:21if chris rock went straight from that to saturday night live or whatnot
- 52:24but they that whole crew because you
- 52:27know that i mean those same dudes were everything back
- 52:30yeah yeah that they looked out for each other 12
- 52:33to 24 month period i mean hollywood shuffle 87
- 52:36i'm gonna get you some 88 both of those and
- 52:39and growing up classic and then
- 52:42what and living color came not long after that a couple
- 52:45years later yeah yeah yeah so they they definitely looked
- 52:48out for each other which is exactly what you're supposed to do
- 52:51if one of us get on all of
- 52:54us getting on and not just coming along for
- 52:57the ride you're gonna have to do something you know
- 53:00what i'm saying you don't have to earn your key but i'm gonna
- 53:02open some doors for you you know you come in here with me and then
- 53:05it's up to you after that i'm gonna get you in
- 53:08the door how you do it after that is up
- 53:11to you whether you succeed or fail that's up to you but I'm gonna get you in
- 53:15the door and sometimes that's all we want from each other is just get me in
- 53:21the door just get me a meeting you know what I'm saying and I'll do the rest
- 53:24and tying it back to what we talked about at the beginning of this podcast how
- 53:28we seem to forget sometimes.
- 53:31Marlon and Sean, well, all of them, show nothing but love to Kenan Ivory Wayans. For sure.
- 53:37Like, especially Sean, because he's, I mean, he's, well, I'm sorry,
- 53:40Marlon, because Marlon's been out there a lot more the last few years.
- 53:43He constantly credits Kenan with being the person who helped him start.
- 53:48But people like Kenan Ivory Wayans and Robert Townsend are overlooked so much. They really are.
- 53:55They really, really are. I agree with that, bro, because they did a lot to put
- 54:00a lot of actors on, including Jim Carrey, who Jim Carrey credits Keenan Ivory
- 54:07Wands. Speak on it. Speak on it, bro.
- 54:09They love him. He loves, you know, it's to this day.
- 54:13He credits Keenan Ivory Wands with helping launch his career the way it is.
- 54:18Without a living color, we probably wouldn't even know who Jim Carrey was.
- 54:22And don't get me wrong he was in movies because him
- 54:25and Damien were also in Earth Girls Are Easy but it was those type of roles
- 54:30where he would have never been noticed or the once bitten movie where he was
- 54:34a vampire well he said that Kenan told him be him just be you what do you want
- 54:39me to do just go be you that's why you got hired go be you yeah.
- 54:44So that's our movie that we
- 54:47want to review today I'm going to get you sucker it is a
- 54:50cult classic go out and view it what we
- 54:53get is brother two high fives on the black hand side yes sir two high fives
- 54:57on the black hand side for i'ma get you sucker all right today we're going to
- 55:02do something a little bit different we're we're going to both include a closing
- 55:09monologue we usually don't do this but,
- 55:12i got a closing monologue that i want to get into and kg has one that he wants
- 55:17to get into so So not that we're competing, it's just there's a lot of things
- 55:22going on and there's just a lot that needs to be said.
- 55:26So I'm going to speak about voting.
- 55:31And I want to talk about the difference between voting in local slash municipal
- 55:37elections versus national or presidential elections.
- 55:45Voter turnout in the U.S.
- 55:48Is consistently and significantly higher in national elections,
- 55:54especially presidential elections compared to local or municipal elections.
- 56:00National elections on average have a 65 percent turnout rate for for eligible voters,
- 56:08while local elections on average have a 40 percent turnout rate for eligible voters.
- 56:15That's a big difference.
- 56:18Personally, I think voter turnout should be in the upper 90 percentile for eligible
- 56:24voters. And I also think every U.S.
- 56:28Citizen should be allowed to cast a vote, full stop, period.
- 56:33In turn, we should not be required to work on election days,
- 56:38which other countries have already implemented.
- 56:43Now, why do I bring all of this up? Why do I bring this to our attention?
- 56:48That's a good question. The answer is simple.
- 56:51Local elections impact our daily lives much more than national elections due
- 56:59to state rights. You want to fight gerrymandering?
- 57:04Vote in local elections.
- 57:07You want to fight voter suppression?
- 57:09Vote in local elections. You want to have a say in school curriculum?
- 57:15Vote in local elections. Vote for your school board.
- 57:20Case in point, if you are going to sit out an election, which I don't condone,
- 57:27it should be national elections.
- 57:31We can't affect the game if we choose not to play.
- 57:37Brother, the floor is yours. So I'm going to actually, excuse me,
- 57:42piggyback off of that a little bit.
- 57:45So we deal with a lot of redistricting and different things that are going on
- 57:50across the country right now.
- 57:52But a lot of times I sit back and think that many of us don't even really know
- 57:57what's written in the everyday laws that affect our lives.
- 58:01We hear about the bills being passed, The policy's changing or district lines being drawn.
- 58:06But most people don't know what any of it really means. And that's exactly how
- 58:11this little game that they play is set up.
- 58:14The less we understand, the easier it is for politicians to slide things through,
- 58:19twist the wording, redraw the maps like they're doing now and make decisions that don't serve us.
- 58:25They only serve power. And it's become way more evident now.
- 58:29And then we wake up wondering, how did our vote somehow not count?
- 58:34How did our neighborhood end up in a new district?
- 58:38Or how come your voice keeps getting drowned out? It's wild because history
- 58:42has already shown us how fast things can flip when power is on the line.
- 58:47Before the 1964 Civil Rights Act, most of the Confederate states,
- 58:52if not all of them, were blue.
- 58:55But when that act was signed into law, guaranteeing rights for black Americans
- 58:59and other minorities, a lot of those same states turned red.
- 59:03It wasn't about some big moral change. It was political strategy.
- 59:07The party shifted, the language changed, but the goal stayed the same.
- 59:11Keep control, even if it means dividing people by race, class and district lines.
- 59:17Right now, with all of this redistricting happening across the country,
- 59:21we're seeing that same playbook, maps being redrawn mid-election,
- 59:25neighborhoods split up, communities of color diluted.
- 59:30So it's time to stretch a little, read up, ask questions, find out what's going
- 59:37on locally for your ballots on Election Day locally.
- 59:43Learn what your local reps are really doing, not just what they're saying in a soundbite.
- 59:49Because if we keep letting them write the rules and while we're not paying attention,
- 59:54we can't be surprised when the game keeps getting rigged.
- 59:56So next time you hear a politician talking about protecting democracy,
- 1:00:00democracy, ask yourself whose democracy they are truly protecting.
- 1:00:06Great points. Well, I think we went a little over than what we were supposed
- 1:00:11to this week, but it's all good.
- 1:00:13So we're going to leave it there for now, you guys.
