- 0:26Sean McAllister: We reveal his strong Vegas ties and why that criticism may be a bit overblown.
- 0:33Dayna Roselli: Plus a classic Vegas restaurant with a cinematic centerpiece.
- 0:37Sean McAllister: That and more this week on Vegas Revealed.
- 0:40Dayna Roselli: Shout out to our sponsors, Hotworks Infrared Fitness Studios, more workout, less time, and the Vegas Near Me app.
- 0:47Dayna Roselli: If it's fun to do or see, it's on Vegas Near Me.
- 0:51Sean McAllister: All right, let's get to it and spin that wheel.
- 1:00Sean McAllister: Welcome to Vegas Revealed, episode 201.
- 1:03Sean McAllister: Sean McAllister here along with Dana Roselli.
- 1:07Sean McAllister: And we're just two weeks into the new year, and already we have some major Vegas events happening.
- 1:13Sean McAllister: There are signs of Super Bowl 58 popping up all over the place at this point.
- 1:19Sean McAllister: Uh, we'll get into that in just a little bit.
- 1:20Sean McAllister: But Dana First, CES, just wrapped up here.
- 1:24Dayna Roselli: It did.
- 1:24Dayna Roselli: And all week I saw the Goodyear blimp flying by my condo building.
- 1:30Dayna Roselli: I was like, what is that?
- 1:31Dayna Roselli: I went out in the balcony and I saw something in the air in the distance, and I thought, oh my gosh, is it one of those alien sightings?
- 1:37Dayna Roselli: And then I realized it was a blimp.
- 1:38Sean McAllister: I saw uh one post.
- 1:40Sean McAllister: It showed the blimp flying behind uh the stratosphere, and the caption said a near miss.
- 1:47Sean McAllister: The Goodyear blimp had a near miss with the tallest whatever observe freestanding observation tower in the country, and it was not a near miss.
- 1:55Sean McAllister: No, it wasn't a near mission.
- 1:56Sean McAllister: It was flying.
- 1:57Sean McAllister: Those Goodyear blimp pilots know what they're doing.
- 2:00Dayna Roselli: That's right.
- 2:00Dayna Roselli: And you know, listen, I hope everyone had a great time in Vegas.
- 2:03Dayna Roselli: I know around CES there's so many really cool parties and all that kind of thing.
- 2:07Dayna Roselli: So, and I know everyone that comes to CES loves that it is in Las Vegas because we're so much fun.
- 2:12Sean McAllister: Well, and I think the uh aren't the adult film awards, don't they always happen in conjunction with CES as well?
- 2:20Sean McAllister: Possibly.
- 2:21Sean McAllister: Possibly.
- 2:22Dayna Roselli: I'm I'm not brushed up on that.
- 2:23Sean McAllister: So people always say there's geeks and porn stars that fill the city.
- 2:27Dayna Roselli: I love it.
- 2:28Dayna Roselli: Well, what 130,000 attendees, 4,000 exhibitors.
- 2:32Dayna Roselli: I mean, it's it's massive.
- 2:34Dayna Roselli: And I know you really get into some of the things that they debut at CES.
- 2:38Dayna Roselli: You you always are like on there Googling to see what's new.
- 2:41Sean McAllister: I love it.
- 2:41Sean McAllister: And AI once again took center stage uh at CES this year, but it's not uh like the AI that we've been hearing about in headline, not like the chat GPT and all that kind of stuff.
- 2:55Sean McAllister: This is AI that's incorporated in everything from like a household mirror to a toothbrush.
- 3:04Sean McAllister: Okay.
- 3:04Sean McAllister: I even saw AI vacuums.
- 3:07Dayna Roselli: Like what what how?
- 3:08Dayna Roselli: Like I don't get that.
- 3:08Dayna Roselli: You say brush my teeth.
- 3:10Dayna Roselli: Well and it brushes your teeth.
- 3:12Sean McAllister: I don't understand the AI Well, I don't know about the toothbrush, but there are vacuums that know when they like uh switch floor surfaces and so they like automatically change I don't know, instead of bristles running on a hardwood floor, the vacuum just sucks.
- 3:32Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 3:33Sean McAllister: Does it get softer, it doesn't make the scratches or Mercedes-Benz, I know, was uh incorporating some new AI technology into their uh vehicles so that when you talk to your car and have it like text for you or whatever, like the AI gets to learn your personality and will respond to you accordingly.
- 3:58Sean McAllister: Oh, okay.
- 3:59Sean McAllister: So if you're sassy to your car, it might be sassy right back to you.
- 4:03Dayna Roselli: Oh, that's funny.
- 4:03Dayna Roselli: Okay.
- 4:04Sean McAllister: I think that's kind of fun.
- 4:05Sean McAllister: All right.
- 4:06Sean McAllister: And then there was uh a Samsung refrigerator that has this technology built into it where it senses what kind of food is in your refrigerator, and then it has one of those big LED displays on the front, and it will suggest recipes to you that you can make using the food in your refrigerator.
- 4:27Dayna Roselli: Oh, that's great.
- 4:27Dayna Roselli: That's especially great for a single person like me.
- 4:30Sean McAllister: Right.
- 4:30Sean McAllister: Like how often a lot of random stuff in there.
- 4:33Sean McAllister: Right.
- 4:33Sean McAllister: How often do you stand there with the door open and you're like, what the heck can I make with this?
- 4:38Sean McAllister: With like the leftover turkey pepperoni, uh some marinara sauce, and mustard.
- 4:48Dayna Roselli: Oh, mustard, yeah.
- 4:50Dayna Roselli: I was gonna say a lot I've got to do.
- 4:52Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 4:52Dayna Roselli: Good luck, good luck.
- 4:54Dayna Roselli: Or you just get sick of the same old things.
- 4:56Dayna Roselli: So you're like, you know what you have, but maybe they could, you know, maybe the fridge will come up with something different.
- 5:01Sean McAllister: Well, that's my problem.
- 5:02Sean McAllister: I always fall into the trap of making the same things over and over again.
- 5:07Sean McAllister: Um, so I think that's a it's a good idea.
- 5:10Sean McAllister: Yeah, definitely.
- 5:11Dayna Roselli: CS is it's always cool to see what comes out of there.
- 5:14Dayna Roselli: So anyway, we hope everyone had a fantastic time.
- 5:16Dayna Roselli: We appreciate you coming back to Las Vegas, spending your money here.
- 5:20Dayna Roselli: Um, I know a lot of people actually came in early and went to Luke Bryan's final show.
- 5:26Dayna Roselli: We went too, because it was the weekend before.
- 5:29Dayna Roselli: Yeah, that was on January 6th.
- 5:31Dayna Roselli: I know, and I was thinking back to his opening show.
- 5:33Dayna Roselli: We were at the opening show, and that was in February of 2022.
- 5:38Dayna Roselli: And I remember the day before our governor had lifted the mask mandate.
- 5:43Sean McAllister: That's so crazy.
- 5:44Dayna Roselli: And we were so excited.
- 5:45Dayna Roselli: And I remember Luke Bryan pointing out that hey, I think he was joking around that he was gonna take credit for it.
- 5:52Dayna Roselli: Like, you know, it was the first time where like you could be in a theater with a group of people not in a mask.
- 5:57Sean McAllister: Right.
- 5:57Sean McAllister: Actually, you know, I we recorded uh what Luke said about it.
- 6:01Sean McAllister: Take a listen.
- 6:04SPEAKER_00: You know, I'd like to take um, I'd like to take some personal credit um in in uh you know, just getting rid of the mask mandate.
- 6:14SPEAKER_00: I really appreciate that.
- 6:18SPEAKER_00: And now y'all cannot boost without a mask on the yeah, and I remember that night because I was a little tipsy because everyone was rowdy.
- 6:29Dayna Roselli: And even Luke was like, drink up, enjoy.
- 6:32Dayna Roselli: And I remember going to Luke Bryan and thinking, this is the best show ever.
- 6:36Dayna Roselli: I love it.
- 6:37Dayna Roselli: Um, and I really did enjoy it because I didn't know much about him.
- 6:40Dayna Roselli: But I remember leaving there, and we've talked about it before, thinking that was a really great show.
- 6:45Dayna Roselli: I'd go see him again.
- 6:46SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 6:46Dayna Roselli: And then now we went to his final show on the sixth, and I feel exactly the same way.
- 6:51Dayna Roselli: I have a whole scenario about that.
- 6:53Dayna Roselli: But um, you and I were there, and we were on each uh different sides of the theater too.
- 6:57Dayna Roselli: It was a great show, wasn't it?
- 6:58Sean McAllister: It was so fun, and it was different um structurally.
- 7:02Sean McAllister: The show was different from when uh we saw his residency show at the start.
- 7:07Sean McAllister: Um, and I kind of have an he did um he did some sets of much more stripped down music.
- 7:16Sean McAllister: There was one point where he sat at the piano and sang Madonna at one point.
- 7:22Sean McAllister: He did a little Elton John, he was just like off the top of his head, just playing songs that he liked and singing.
- 7:28Dayna Roselli: Yeah, he was taking requests, remember?
- 7:30Dayna Roselli: Yes, and then somebody requested Usher and he tried his best to pull an Usher song out of his pocket.
- 7:34Dayna Roselli: He started going, yeah, yeah.
- 7:36Dayna Roselli: That was funny.
- 7:37Dayna Roselli: He did uh one of his favorite Elvis songs and told stories.
- 7:41Dayna Roselli: I loved, I loved it.
- 7:43Dayna Roselli: He went over two hours he performed at Resorts World Theater on January 6th on his final show.
- 7:49Dayna Roselli: And that was fantastic.
- 7:50Dayna Roselli: And it just reminds me the production and all the shows at Resorts World, they're it's so well done.
- 7:56Dayna Roselli: What a set he had, right?
- 7:57Sean McAllister: Oh, it's it's great.
- 7:58Sean McAllister: I mean, there's there's portions of it where the stage is kind of undulating.
- 8:04Sean McAllister: You know, there's there's water being uh displayed on it, there's all these LED screens everywhere, and different parts of the stage are moving up and down, and it looked like waves, and Luke is right up there riding the wave.
- 8:17Dayna Roselli: I know, I know.
- 8:18Dayna Roselli: And then he has the bridge at the end where again he he walks by the balcony section, people love it.
- 8:23Dayna Roselli: It was fantastic.
- 8:24Dayna Roselli: I have a few things to say about this show.
- 8:26Dayna Roselli: One is like I just keep becoming more and more of a Luke Bryan fan, and I just feel like his show, when I was I was doing some tweets back and forth with someone, and it just reminded me, and I thought, and they were like, I was there too.
- 8:38Dayna Roselli: I mean, he's such a fantastic performer.
- 8:39Dayna Roselli: And I thought him telling the stories and being at the piano, moving through it quickly.
- 8:44Dayna Roselli: He didn't like, you know, go on and on and on.
- 8:46Dayna Roselli: It was a fun section.
- 8:47Dayna Roselli: He had a cocktail in his hand.
- 8:49Dayna Roselli: I just felt like it really made it a Vegas show.
- 8:52Dayna Roselli: And you have to do things like that to make these shows different.
- 8:56Dayna Roselli: Uh, it can't be like just a concert.
- 8:58Sean McAllister: Right.
- 8:58Sean McAllister: It it needs to be a unique experience that people aren't going to get anywhere else.
- 9:03Dayna Roselli: Yes, that you leave talking about.
- 9:05Dayna Roselli: I I always leave even more of a Luke Bryan fan.
- 9:08Dayna Roselli: I'm downloading his music now.
- 9:10Dayna Roselli: And I had no idea he had 30 number one hits.
- 9:13SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 9:13Dayna Roselli: But he educated the audience on that without going on and on, without too much ego.
- 9:18Dayna Roselli: He said, I'm gonna do a bunch of my hits because I can't believe, you know, that I have 30 number one hits.
- 9:22Dayna Roselli: I never did it.
- 9:23Dayna Roselli: I met.
- 9:24Dayna Roselli: And now I'm like, okay, yes, 31 number hits.
- 9:26Dayna Roselli: So I'm like on Apple Music trying to find like, oh, what are all the number ones?
- 9:30Dayna Roselli: But you know, educating your audience, it's a win-win for you, the artist, and it's a win-win for the audience because you know, they are entertained by these short stories and performances and you know, raw moments where they're sitting at the piano and telling, you know, all that stuff.
- 9:47Dayna Roselli: I and it's memorable.
- 9:48Sean McAllister: Well, and not only is uh Luke just a great entertainer um with great music, but he's funny too.
- 9:55Sean McAllister: He was so funny.
- 9:56Dayna Roselli: And you know what?
- 9:56Dayna Roselli: He just doesn't, he's effortless.
- 9:59Dayna Roselli: Yes, he doesn't take himself too seriously.
- 10:03Dayna Roselli: Yeah, the whole sh stick is great.
- 10:05Sean McAllister: Well, there was one point where he even said he was like, I need to stop because uh I'm gonna get myself in trouble on YouTube here if I keep going down this road.
- 10:15Dayna Roselli: I know he is so funny.
- 10:16Dayna Roselli: We know he loves to gamble, he's not shy about that.
- 10:19Sean McAllister: And the little kids in the front with the mullets.
- 10:21Sean McAllister: Oh my god.
- 10:21Sean McAllister: He was like, What do you have?
- 10:22Sean McAllister: A Kentucky waterfall going on up here, buddy.
- 10:26SPEAKER_04: I thought that was funny.
- 10:27SPEAKER_04: I was like, I never knew they called it that.
- 10:30Dayna Roselli: It's so funny.
- 10:32Dayna Roselli: But yeah, there were so many locals too that were commenting on our social media posts after saying, I was there, I was there.
- 10:36Dayna Roselli: And I was like, wow, a lot of people really turned out to see Luke Bryan's final show.
- 10:40Dayna Roselli: And I'm like, it just shows if you if you can put on a good show, um, people will return.
- 10:46Dayna Roselli: You'll get the locals there, uh, including the visitors.
- 10:50Dayna Roselli: So I thought it was fantastic.
- 10:52Dayna Roselli: Um, on my way over to your house today, it was funny.
- 10:54Dayna Roselli: I told Siri, because I love his song, Play It Again.
- 10:58SPEAKER_02: Oh, right.
- 10:59Dayna Roselli: One of my favorites now.
- 11:01Dayna Roselli: I love it.
- 11:01Dayna Roselli: It's like in my circulation.
- 11:03Dayna Roselli: So on my way over, I was like, hey Siri, um, Luke Bryan, play it again.
- 11:08Dayna Roselli: And she was like, Oh no.
- 11:11Dayna Roselli: Now she's gonna answer.
- 11:12SPEAKER_04: Look, she's trying, she's trying to search for oh, here it comes.
- 11:17SPEAKER_04: I'm just talking out loud.
- 11:21Dayna Roselli: Um and I said that to her, and she said, uh Luke Brian on repeat.
- 11:29Dayna Roselli: I'll keep I'll keep playing it again.
- 11:32Dayna Roselli: And all of a sudden, all these Luke Brian songs kept coming up in rotation.
- 11:36Dayna Roselli: It was on shuffle, and I was like, No, I want the song, play it again.
- 11:40Dayna Roselli: And anyway, she was like, Got it, Luke Brian continuing.
- 11:44Dayna Roselli: Luke Brian on repeat.
- 11:48SPEAKER_04: That's AI gone wrong.
- 11:49SPEAKER_04: It really is.
- 11:50SPEAKER_04: So it was funny.
- 11:51Dayna Roselli: I was laughing on my way over, but anyway, fantastic show.
- 11:54Dayna Roselli: We think he might come back and maybe do something a little more raw, right?
- 11:57Dayna Roselli: That's what our kind of we were thinking.
- 11:59Sean McAllister: That's what we were thinking, and maybe he uh did those stripped-down sections of the show kind of to test a new way of presenting his music and presenting his talents.
- 12:13Sean McAllister: Because you mentioned him singing uh that Elvis Presley song, and he was amazing.
- 12:20Sean McAllister: And that's not a style of music that we are used to hearing him sing, and he did so good.
- 12:27Dayna Roselli: Yeah, he really did.
- 12:28Dayna Roselli: And I mean, either that or he was just really tipsy and decided to go off the rails.
- 12:32Sean McAllister: Well, I think there was a little bit of that too.
- 12:34Sean McAllister: I think he was enjoying his closing night.
- 12:36Dayna Roselli: I saw his wife sitting at the side of the stage.
- 12:38Dayna Roselli: Did you see that all night watching the whole show?
- 12:40Dayna Roselli: What a supportive family.
- 12:42Dayna Roselli: Loved it.
- 12:42Dayna Roselli: Uh, Luke Brian, we hope you do return to Las Vegas.
- 12:46Dayna Roselli: And Sean, I know you are excited about this one.
- 12:49Dayna Roselli: An announcement from The Fountain Blue.
- 12:51Dayna Roselli: It's just one show, but still, it's Third Eye Blind, Yellow Card in Arizona coming to the Blue Live Theater.
- 12:59Dayna Roselli: And I know you are a huge yellow card fan.
- 13:01Sean McAllister: I am.
- 13:01Sean McAllister: I love yellow card.
- 13:03Sean McAllister: Went to see them on uh in San Diego over, was it over the summer?
- 13:08Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 13:08Sean McAllister: I think it was over the summer, uh, for the 20th anniversary of their Ocean Avenue album, which was it was so good, such a great crowd, but it it reminded me how much I love yellow card music.
- 13:22Sean McAllister: I hadn't really listened to their stuff in a while.
- 13:25Sean McAllister: Um, they're coming with Third Eye Blind, who I also have a ton of their music and haven't listened to them.
- 13:32Sean McAllister: It's the 25th anniversary of their song Jumper.
- 13:36Sean McAllister: Yeah, wish you would step back from that little bit.
- 13:38Sean McAllister: Oh, yeah.
- 13:39Sean McAllister: Such a popular song.
- 13:40Sean McAllister: It was on uh there was a big thing on uh MTV's The Real World about that song.
- 13:45Sean McAllister: I think it was the real world Seattle or something.
- 13:48Sean McAllister: Um there was a whole thing, but anyway, 25th anniversary of that song, uh Third Eye Blind, Yellow Card, Arizona.
- 13:55Sean McAllister: They're coming to Blue Live Theater at Fountain Blue on Saturday, June 22nd.
- 14:02Sean McAllister: So if if you're a fan of Third Eye Blind, Yellow Card, just like I am, um, be sure to get your tickets to that one.
- 14:08Dayna Roselli: Okay.
- 14:09Dayna Roselli: Yeah, that looks like it'll be a good show.
- 14:11Dayna Roselli: And I look forward to more announcements from the Fountain Blue.
- 14:13Dayna Roselli: Um, it seems like they're gonna have more touring acts through there on that the theater and maybe like not necessarily residencies.
- 14:20Dayna Roselli: So it'll be it'll be interesting to see what else comes into that theater.
- 14:23Dayna Roselli: Because I know we even talked to some of the folks over there on our tour about that might be more of the idea for that room.
- 14:29Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 14:30Dayna Roselli: Hey, um, speaking of residencies, let's quickly just touch on Tiesto because you know he is so popular.
- 14:36Dayna Roselli: He's been over there at Zook at Resorts World for a long time.
- 14:38Dayna Roselli: Now he announced, you know, because there's obviously whenever there's like a new year, I feel like oftentimes the DJs kind of switch spots.
- 14:47Sean McAllister: A remix, if you will.
- 14:48Dayna Roselli: Yeah, it's a remix, right?
- 14:50Dayna Roselli: Tiesto's uh leaving Zook and he's going over to, well, four different places.
- 14:55Dayna Roselli: And this is interesting because usually when there's a residency, you're kind of like dedicated to one spot.
- 15:00Dayna Roselli: That's what you know, that's what the point of a residency is.
- 15:04Sean McAllister: There's some exclusivity to it.
- 15:06Dayna Roselli: Exactly.
- 15:06Dayna Roselli: Um, so he's calling this the Las Vegas residency.
- 15:10Dayna Roselli: Uh, but he's gonna be doing Tau Beach, Wet Republic, Omnia over at Caesar's Palace, and then he's also doing Live at Fountain Blue.
- 15:20Dayna Roselli: So, and I'm like, wait a minute, because one of them is like owned by Tau Group, and then the other, you know, so it it's quite a mix.
- 15:26Sean McAllister: And Groot Hospitality, yeah.
- 15:28Sean McAllister: There's a a mixture there, but I I think that it's one of those things where it's good for everybody if Tiesto is playing, because he has that kind of following.
- 15:38Sean McAllister: Right.
- 15:39Sean McAllister: And you know, it is he has an all-encompassing Vegas residency.
- 15:44Sean McAllister: I can't imagine what that price tag is, what he's getting paid for.
- 15:48Sean McAllister: Oh my god.
- 15:49SPEAKER_04: I mean we need Tiesto money.
- 15:53Sean McAllister: We need a Vegas residency.
- 15:55SPEAKER_04: I know.
- 15:55SPEAKER_04: That's why his song, Let's Get Down, Let's Get Down to Business.
- 16:01SPEAKER_04: That is one of the like, I do like that song.
- 16:06Sean McAllister: You'll see Roselli over at uh Tau Beach, Wet Republic, Omnia, and Liv.
- 16:11Sean McAllister: Oh my gosh.
- 16:12Sean McAllister: Just waiting for that song.
- 16:13Dayna Roselli: Yeah, he released a really cool video to announce it.
- 16:15Dayna Roselli: Check out his Instagram.
- 16:16Dayna Roselli: So congratulations to Tiesto.
- 16:17Dayna Roselli: I'm glad he's staying in Las Vegas and he's just gonna be a little bit more spread out, I guess, you know.
- 16:22Dayna Roselli: And Zed is leaving uh Zook too.
- 16:24Dayna Roselli: I forgot where he's headed.
- 16:25Dayna Roselli: The press release came out the other day, but uh look it up.
- 16:28Sean McAllister: Speaking of residents, residencees and residents, Joe Coy, the comedian, um, he just hosted the Golden Globe Awards and uh really was getting trashed everywhere.
- 16:44Sean McAllister: Listen jokes bombing and whatever.
- 16:50Sean McAllister: It wasn't the best response to Joe hosting.
- 16:54Dayna Roselli: No, and to be honest, when I turned it on, I kind of remember seeing something earlier in the week and I was like, good for you for Joe Coy, but I didn't know like he had 10 days' notice, and I and I didn't remember, maybe I didn't know when I turned it on.
- 17:06Dayna Roselli: I was like, Joe Coy is hosting?
- 17:08Dayna Roselli: Well, Joe, we've I interviewed for years and years here in Las Vegas.
- 17:12Dayna Roselli: He always came on the local news and did the, you know, because he would have shows uh Treasure Island and stuff.
- 17:17Dayna Roselli: And I thought, good for Joe.
- 17:19Dayna Roselli: I was so happy to see him up there because he's always hilarious.
- 17:23Dayna Roselli: He is.
- 17:23Dayna Roselli: Um, but yeah, it's some there were some awkward moments, things didn't hit, you know, and I was sitting there going, come on, Joe.
- 17:29Dayna Roselli: I mean, you know, I think it's obvious he agreed to it the next day.
- 17:34Dayna Roselli: But, you know, people are tearing into him, and I'm thinking, you know what?
- 17:37Dayna Roselli: Here's the deal.
- 17:38Dayna Roselli: Like Joe Coy's comedy bit is mostly about his family, his son, his mom, his Filipino roots, and a lot of that.
- 17:48Dayna Roselli: And so I don't really feel like, you know, the golden globes were his jam.
- 17:52Dayna Roselli: So he really had to pull and with 10 days notice, you know, figure out how to, well, wow the world that's watching or the country and um, you know, connect with the audience.
- 18:06Dayna Roselli: And that's that's hard.
- 18:07Sean McAllister: Well, and you have to remember too that when really when any host goes steps into uh steps into those MC roles for an award show, you're working with writers and producers who you probably haven't worked with before and who have different ideas of what comedy is.
- 18:30Sean McAllister: And it's probably a little bit of like, here are my jokes, and then the writers are like, okay, we'll fit those in to our jokes too.
- 18:39Sean McAllister: So you're having to execute somebody else's punchlines, which may not resonate with you as an entertainer, which has to be difficult.
- 18:49Dayna Roselli: Yeah, it does.
- 18:51Dayna Roselli: I mean, it it's interesting because I there were a lot of people who said I'd never heard of Joe Coy before.
- 18:56Dayna Roselli: And I thought, well, if you didn't before, I mean, no matter what, even if he bombed, like now people know who Joe Coy is, right?
- 19:01SPEAKER_02: True, very true.
- 19:02Dayna Roselli: Not that everyone watched the Golden Globes, but the day after press about it, you know, you're reading it and stuff like that.
- 19:08Dayna Roselli: But um, yeah, a few things.
- 19:10Dayna Roselli: I just think, you know, first of all, he's he has a Netflix special and it and he also is doing a world tour right now.
- 19:15Dayna Roselli: I mean, I just looked it up.
- 19:16Dayna Roselli: He's gonna be at the O2 at London.
- 19:18Dayna Roselli: So he has a following.
- 19:19Dayna Roselli: He is funny.
- 19:20Dayna Roselli: I've seen him do stand-up at Treasure Island uh over at the Mystera Theater.
- 19:24Dayna Roselli: And I was crying laughing.
- 19:26Dayna Roselli: Whenever he comes on the local shows, we're we're laughing.
- 19:29Dayna Roselli: You know, his mom lives here and owns a restaurant.
- 19:32Dayna Roselli: I don't know if she still does, does at this very moment, but I think the restaurant is still there.
- 19:36Dayna Roselli: I looked it up.
- 19:37Dayna Roselli: Um, he moved here recently over the summer and and bought a house.
- 19:41Dayna Roselli: And so Joe's been around a while, and all I have to say is I love Joe.
- 19:45Dayna Roselli: I think he's super funny.
- 19:47Dayna Roselli: Um, I've seen his stand-up, I've interviewed him on TV, and you know what?
- 19:51Dayna Roselli: Let's not cancel Joe Coy just yet.
- 19:54Dayna Roselli: I mean, I think he's got a lot of legs.
- 19:56Sean McAllister: Well, and and check out his Netflix special to see uh what his comedy is really like.
- 20:02Sean McAllister: Yeah, it's like when he's hitting on when he's hitting every single time.
- 20:06Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 20:07Sean McAllister: That's what you see in his Netflix special.
- 20:09Sean McAllister: But hosting those award shows really is a difficult job.
- 20:14Dayna Roselli: It is.
- 20:14Dayna Roselli: It is.
- 20:15Dayna Roselli: And you know, and sometimes when things don't hit right, you think like, we really don't know.
- 20:19Dayna Roselli: Like, was it his idea or did the writer say, hey, you're doing this Barbie joke?
- 20:23Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 20:24Dayna Roselli: Do you know?
- 20:24Dayna Roselli: We don't know, you know, and he's not gonna come out and say, they made me do it.
- 20:27Dayna Roselli: I mean, you know, that kind of thing.
- 20:28Dayna Roselli: Um, but I noticed that Steve Martin on Threads went on and said, I tip my hat to anyone who steps on a stage to host a live award show.
- 20:35Dayna Roselli: It's a very difficult job and not for the squeamish.
- 20:39Dayna Roselli: I know because I'm still throwing up from the last time I did it in 2010.
- 20:43Dayna Roselli: Um, so I thought that was very supportive of a, you know, obviously well-known, established comedic genius, Steve Martin.
- 20:51Dayna Roselli: Um, Joe Coy went on the morning shows the next day, though, and and agreed he flopped.
- 20:55Dayna Roselli: That's what I love.
- 20:56Dayna Roselli: He took it.
- 20:57Dayna Roselli: He did blame the writers a little bit, but and said, you know, I had 10 days' notice.
- 21:01Sean McAllister: But which is also a tough thing.
- 21:03Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 21:03Dayna Roselli: So anyway, uh, hopefully Joe Coy will be back in Vegas again.
- 21:07Dayna Roselli: I I highly rec recommend his comedy.
- 21:09Dayna Roselli: He's funny.
- 21:10Dayna Roselli: Um, let's talk about Celine, because I know there's been a lot of chatter recently, and we haven't really touched on that.
- 21:16Dayna Roselli: Celine Dion was also supposed to, uh, she was supposed to really open up the resort's world theater.
- 21:22Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 21:22Dayna Roselli: And then had to cancel way back in, you know, 2021.
- 21:27Dayna Roselli: And there's still hope for her, I found out, uh, from some sources that, you know, they're still hoping Celine is going to return to the stage.
- 21:34Dayna Roselli: And I just thought that was so refreshing to hear because, you know, we worried about her health.
- 21:40Dayna Roselli: And and something that was in the headlines recently was that one of her sisters came out and said, you know, she's in terrible shape.
- 21:45Dayna Roselli: And I thought, who's this sister?
- 21:46Dayna Roselli: I've never heard of her.
- 21:47Sean McAllister: Well, in this was about three weeks ago that that article you're referring to uh came out and it went everywhere.
- 21:56Sean McAllister: It was like she can't control her body.
- 21:58Sean McAllister: She can't, like, it was kind of a Doom and gloom kind of report that originated from uh her sister Claudette is the one who was quoted, and that originated from in a a French uh publication and then was picked up everywhere.
- 22:15Sean McAllister: Um just within the past week, uh OK magazine published uh another article and uh it's citing an insider close to Celine who says uh that she's actually remarkably upbeat uh in dealing with this stiff person uh syndrome that she's been diagnosed with, and is actually very hopeful that she'll be able to return to the stage at some point.
- 22:43Sean McAllister: In fact, in this article, it it says that Celine's other sister, Linda, has reportedly moved in with her here in Las Vegas at her home just to help out with you know her teenage, she has two teenage twins, uh twin boys, and then her older son, Renee Charles.
- 23:02Sean McAllister: Um but apparently her sister Linda um has moved in with her, but this is not the sister who has been you know talking with other media outlets.
- 23:13Sean McAllister: We've actually not heard from Linda.
- 23:15Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 23:15Dayna Roselli: You know what?
- 23:16Dayna Roselli: If I'm gonna listen to anyone, it's gonna be Linda, not Claudine, or what's her name?
- 23:20Sean McAllister: Claudette.
- 23:22Dayna Roselli: I'm not buying Claudette's story.
- 23:25Sean McAllister: I I was very skeptical of it to begin with, because during the uh Stanley Cup playoffs, Celine actually went into the locker room, the Montreal Canadians were was it the Canadians?
- 23:40Sean McAllister: It was a Canadian team um that was playing the Golden Nice.
- 23:44Sean McAllister: She went into their locker room to talk with the team.
- 23:47SPEAKER_04: Yeah, she brought her boys.
- 23:48SPEAKER_04: She brought her boys to go and watch the hockey game.
- 23:50Sean McAllister: And then more recently, she was at Katy Perry's final show over at Resorts World.
- 23:56Dayna Roselli: And not only was she there, look at the videos online.
- 23:59Dayna Roselli: She's dancing in her seat and smiling.
- 24:02Sean McAllister: I'm not seeing saying hi to people sitting around her.
- 24:05Dayna Roselli: Yeah, talking to what Cameron Diaz and all sorts.
- 24:08Dayna Roselli: I mean, so I don't know, but um, I'm hopeful, everyone's hopeful she's gonna get back on stage.
- 24:13Dayna Roselli: I know AEG wants her back.
- 24:15Dayna Roselli: I know Resorts World wants her to have this moment, this show.
- 24:19Dayna Roselli: And um, I know we've been we've been talking about everyone's hoping for it.
- 24:23Sean McAllister: Yeah, I'm hoping 2024.
- 24:25Sean McAllister: Hopefully, in the second half of 2024, we will have some news about Celine coming back to the stage here in Las Vegas.
- 24:34Sean McAllister: I know it's going to be one of those returns that is literally celebrated worldwide.
- 24:41Sean McAllister: Yeah, really.
- 24:43Dayna Roselli: And I was hearing November 2024 is kind of the next time that they're they're planning and hoping for.
- 24:49Dayna Roselli: So holding dates, yeah.
- 24:51Sean McAllister: Fingers crossed.
- 24:52Dayna Roselli: And I know a lot of people are talking to J Lo too.
- 24:54Dayna Roselli: She's apparently got her hat in the ring for a residency here in town.
- 24:58Dayna Roselli: What I've heard things about MGM and Resorts World and other places.
- 25:02Sean McAllister: Yeah, potentially.
- 25:03Sean McAllister: Well, wasn't she just over at uh Voltaire?
- 25:07Sean McAllister: She was also to see Christina Aguilera.
- 25:09SPEAKER_04: Yep.
- 25:09Sean McAllister: So who knows?
- 25:10Sean McAllister: Maybe she was scouting that location.
- 25:13Sean McAllister: And then she was also at Bruno Mars.
- 25:15Dayna Roselli: She was at Park MGM.
- 25:16Dayna Roselli: So maybe she was scouting that location.
- 25:19Dayna Roselli: Maybe she's scouting all of them.
- 25:20Sean McAllister: Hey, you know what?
- 25:21Sean McAllister: If you're J Lo, you can do whatever the heck you want.
- 25:24Dayna Roselli: And uh we're yeah, and and we're not gonna pick up on any signals or signs from Ben Affleck because he's always just got a uh grumpy face on.
- 25:32SPEAKER_04: They're hitting a bit.
- 25:33Sean McAllister: But J Lo insists that he is happy.
- 25:35SPEAKER_04: I know she did on the Golden Globe.
- 25:37SPEAKER_04: She said, Leave Ben alone, he's fine.
- 25:40Sean McAllister: He's fine, he's happy, whatever.
- 25:43SPEAKER_04: I like Ben Affleck.
- 25:44SPEAKER_04: I don't I don't mind him at all.
- 25:45Sean McAllister: Uh Dana, aside from everything that we have going on with uh, you know, business projects, with the podcast, you have been a very busy party planner lately.
- 26:00Dayna Roselli: Listen, everyone, I'm not gonna say the date because I don't want everyone to know, I don't want anyone crashing the party, but I am planning a bachelorette party.
- 26:09Dayna Roselli: And let me tell you, Sean, I haven't done this in I'm up there.
- 26:13Dayna Roselli: Okay, so it's been a while since I've had to plan the bachelorette.
- 26:16Sean McAllister: I am up there.
- 26:17Dayna Roselli: You're not I am half-life.
- 26:19Dayna Roselli: No, you're half-life.
- 26:21Dayna Roselli: Or maybe, well, maybe beyond.
- 26:23Dayna Roselli: Wait.
- 26:24Dayna Roselli: Oh, wait.
- 26:25Sean McAllister: You're not beyond that.
- 26:26Dayna Roselli: No, I am well, I'm a little under half-life if I were to live to a hundred, but I don't really plan to live to a hundred.
- 26:33Dayna Roselli: So anyway, it's been a long time since I've uh planned a bachelorette party, but my friend Jessica uh is getting married.
- 26:41Dayna Roselli: Jessica and I worked at Channel 13 here in Las Vegas together for a long time.
- 26:45Dayna Roselli: We've stayed close, close friends.
- 26:48Dayna Roselli: She's getting married.
- 26:49Dayna Roselli: I'm thrilled for her.
- 26:50Dayna Roselli: And um, oh gosh, we're having it in Vegas, and um only me, like there's 10 of us, and only me and um one other person, my friend Melinda, is in charge, not Melinda Shekels, uh, my other friend Melinda Malone.
- 27:03Dayna Roselli: We're kind of the Vegas people on the ground.
- 27:06Dayna Roselli: So I'm like, I feel like the pressure's on.
- 27:08Dayna Roselli: Because let me tell you, Sean, I just want to say these chicks from around the country, they are, I mean, ready for Vegas to the point where like the emails you should see, where I'm like, we're going to Thunder from down under, and they're like, Thunder's not ready for us.
- 27:24Dayna Roselli: And I'm like, what is happening?
- 27:26SPEAKER_04: Like, so I don't know what I'm doing.
- 27:28Sean McAllister: So you're gonna have a wild bunch on your hands, is what you're saying.
- 27:33SPEAKER_04: Yeah, so I'm picking the dinner place, um, and we're gonna go somewhere in the cosmopolitan, I think.
- 27:39Dayna Roselli: And then I've got then Jessica's like, I'm up for an all like she's up for then after the show.
- 27:45Dayna Roselli: Like, where are we going to be?
- 27:46Dayna Roselli: All nighter?
- 27:47Dayna Roselli: Oh, yeah, we're going nightclubing.
- 27:48Dayna Roselli: Oh, geez.
- 27:49Dayna Roselli: Sean, save me.
- 27:51Dayna Roselli: This is gonna be so fun.
- 27:52Dayna Roselli: Um, it really is, but I'm already laughing at it.
- 27:55Sean McAllister: So, what nuggets of wisdom have you gleaned from uh putting a bachelorette party together?
- 28:03Sean McAllister: Um what advice makes do you have to pass on to people who might also be planning a Vegas bachelorette party?
- 28:10Dayna Roselli: If you've got 10 people or a large group, don't ask people's opinions.
- 28:14Dayna Roselli: Make just make the decisions.
- 28:16Sean McAllister: Okay.
- 28:17Dayna Roselli: Say, you know, because you can't, because then you've got 10 email respond.
- 28:20Dayna Roselli: Yeah, everyone's chiming in, and the email, you know, string gets really long and confusing.
- 28:26Dayna Roselli: So you kind of just have to go with, first of all, like, like, because for example, um, the place we're gonna eat dinner offered a prefix menu if we want, if we wanted it.
- 28:36Dayna Roselli: All right.
- 28:36Dayna Roselli: You know, like$85 per person.
- 28:38Dayna Roselli: It's gonna all come out family style.
- 28:40Dayna Roselli: You buy drinks separate.
- 28:41Dayna Roselli: And I was like, I don't know, because there's 10 of us, and I feel like people might want something small, want something big, their taste.
- 28:48Dayna Roselli: Well, someone might want a steak, someone might be a vegan in there somewhere.
- 28:51Dayna Roselli: Exactly.
- 28:52Dayna Roselli: So it's like, so I was like, you know, I think we're gonna and do this, you know, order off the menu.
- 28:59Dayna Roselli: And so I kind of said they offered an$85 per person thing with a family style.
- 29:04Dayna Roselli: Here's the menu, but I think I'm going to tell her no, because I have a feeling with 10 of us, different taste buds, different budgets.
- 29:14Dayna Roselli: And then like one or two people wrote back, agree.
- 29:16Dayna Roselli: And that it ended it.
- 29:18Dayna Roselli: You know what I mean?
- 29:19Dayna Roselli: It wasn't like, what do you guys think?
- 29:21Dayna Roselli: Should we do that?
- 29:22Dayna Roselli: And I was like, oh boy.
- 29:23Sean McAllister: No, that sounds like a disaster asking what people think.
- 29:26Dayna Roselli: Exactly.
- 29:28Dayna Roselli: Um, uh, other thing I think is to get your stuff in your ducks in a row early so that you're not super stressed out.
- 29:35Dayna Roselli: Um, if you want to be that person that has a theme, have a theme.
- 29:39Dayna Roselli: Her theme is sequence.
- 29:40Dayna Roselli: So my sequence my sequence pants have been bought.
- 29:43SPEAKER_02: Ooh.
- 29:45SPEAKER_02: Shake it, Roselli.
- 29:47Dayna Roselli: Yeah, I got a nice 60% off sale uh at the mall post-Christmas.
- 29:51Dayna Roselli: I found the perfect sequence pants.
- 29:53Dayna Roselli: Um, so yeah, I'm going pants because I'm like, this is gonna be a night.
- 29:56Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 29:56Dayna Roselli: And I don't want to be like traps around in a dress.
- 30:02Sean McAllister: Well, and I imagine that having a group of 10, you can't uh probably make that's like a group reservation kind of a situation where you in a lot of cases need to talk to somebody at a venue instead of just going online to make reservations.
- 30:20Dayna Roselli: Yes, like there are a lot of places where I went to put in a reservation, and the most it would take at a table was eight or nine.
- 30:25Dayna Roselli: So you gotta call.
- 30:27Dayna Roselli: You gotta call, you gotta email, leave some leeway.
- 30:30Dayna Roselli: Do one, you know, do one thing at a time.
- 30:32Dayna Roselli: Don't put it, you know, just kind of plan ahead and get a gist of a nice group email is here's the schedule, what I was thinking.
- 30:40Dayna Roselli: And also, you know, this is funny, and which I haven't even put this out there yet for the group, but um, like the Sunday after we're doing a brunch, right?
- 30:48Dayna Roselli: Because here's the deal the girls are coming in midday on a Saturday and leaving Sunday by 4 p.m.
- 30:52Sean McAllister: Oh, so it's a quickie, yeah.
- 30:54Dayna Roselli: But then we're like, brunch, where are we gonna go?
- 30:55Dayna Roselli: And I'm like, you guys have no idea.
- 30:57Dayna Roselli: Like, do you understand?
- 30:58Dayna Roselli: Like, we're having champagne in the room, uh, going to dinner, going to a male review show at like 10 p.m., and then we're going to nightclubs.
- 31:09Dayna Roselli: Nobody is gonna be so they think like we're gonna plan to go to brunch at 11 a.m.
- 31:15Dayna Roselli: at a certain I'm like, everyone's gonna be struggling to get up, get moving.
- 31:19Dayna Roselli: And so I'm just gonna keep, I think I'm keeping that up in the air, just kind of like a breakfast spot, maybe in the hotel.
- 31:24Dayna Roselli: Yeah, yeah.
- 31:25Dayna Roselli: So I'm like, that's too much.
- 31:27Dayna Roselli: But it does add up.
- 31:28Dayna Roselli: So you try and you know, I was trying to like find things.
- 31:31Dayna Roselli: Here's the one thing I'm struggling with.
- 31:32Dayna Roselli: I'm actually struggling, um, even though I'm in Miss Vegas.
- 31:35Dayna Roselli: I'm struggling with how are 10 of us gonna get from property to property?
- 31:39Dayna Roselli: Something I never thought of.
- 31:40Dayna Roselli: And we're like, well, we can Uber, and it's like, okay, but then there's 10 of us.
- 31:44Dayna Roselli: So do it like two Uber XLs, and like I guess we just order Ubers and you know, split up, and when we arrive, when we arrive at different times, five minutes, 10 minutes apart.
- 31:56Sean McAllister: Because that's one of those group sizes that if it was larger than 10 people, you could think about getting like one of those limo buses.
- 32:05Sean McAllister: Right.
- 32:05Sean McAllister: But if there's only 10, that's a lot of space on the bus.
- 32:10Dayna Roselli: And we're gonna be at places for a long period of time.
- 32:12Dayna Roselli: And I noticed a lot we're by the hour.
- 32:13Dayna Roselli: I'm like, I don't want to pay for you sitting there for three hours while we're at dinner.
- 32:17Dayna Roselli: Yeah only to get from one hotel to the next.
- 32:20Dayna Roselli: Plus, you know, so anyway, I'm struggling with that.
- 32:23Dayna Roselli: If anyone has a good idea for that, please uh throw me an email, ideas at vegas dash revealed.com, because I don't know if anyone's like has an idea of like maybe an easier way, and I'm just not thinking of it.
- 32:34Dayna Roselli: But there's 10 of us.
- 32:35Dayna Roselli: We're gonna be going from like uh the area of the north strip to mid strip to south strip to north strip.
- 32:44Sean McAllister: Oh, so you're doing uh uh the whole up and down and back.
- 32:47Dayna Roselli: Yeah, it's gonna be fun.
- 32:49Dayna Roselli: So anyway, those are some of my tips for now, but I think I'll have some extra tips once it's over.
- 32:53Sean McAllister: And we have even more tips right now.
- 32:55Sean McAllister: Let's do it.
- 32:59Sean McAllister: We've been talking about it uh for months here on Vegas Revealed.
- 33:04Sean McAllister: Super Bowl 58 coming up on February 11th over at Allegiant Stadium, and we are starting to see the signs of Super Bowl popping up all over the place.
- 33:14Sean McAllister: Most notably right now is in front of Bellagio Fountains, where they where CBS Sports, CBS Sports and Entertainment are building four stages on top of the Bellagio Fountains to host coverage of a wide variety of programming.
- 33:35Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 33:36Dayna Roselli: Go to our YouTube.
- 33:37Dayna Roselli: We took some video, we went and visited to of the construction.
- 33:40Dayna Roselli: Obviously, it's gonna be further and along each day, but they were out there in the boats.
- 33:45Dayna Roselli: Yes, scuba divers, brains out.
- 33:47Dayna Roselli: It was interesting.
- 33:48Dayna Roselli: And you know, people were like, oh, the fountains again, Belagi, we just got done with F1.
- 33:52Dayna Roselli: But I mean, listen, the the fountains are the iconic backdrop, backdrop of Las Vegas, and you know, that's that's what's going on.
- 33:59Dayna Roselli: But there are gonna be some lane restrictions, yeah.
- 34:01Dayna Roselli: And they're gonna be doing the morning show there, they're gonna be doing the talk.
- 34:05Dayna Roselli: I think Drew Barrymore, right?
- 34:06Dayna Roselli: Didn't she say she's doing her show from there?
- 34:08Dayna Roselli: CBS Sports will be there, and so it's not only Super Bowl, it's gonna be Super Bowl week, the whole week.
- 34:14Sean McAllister: Well, and you have to remember too that CBS is owned by Paramount, the Paramount Network.
- 34:19Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 34:20Sean McAllister: Um, so you know, there's that's a whole other arm of programming that's looped into the mix as well.
- 34:28Sean McAllister: So it is.
- 34:29Sean McAllister: That is going to be the spot to be.
- 34:32Sean McAllister: And um, the tip that comes with us telling you about all of this construction is that uh I actually received uh I was looking for my phone and I'm staring at it.
- 34:45SPEAKER_04: Staring at it.
- 34:46Sean McAllister: Oh my god.
- 34:47SPEAKER_04: You received an email.
- 34:48Sean McAllister: Uh received a text message that said, because you opted in for traffic alerts during F1, we are also Clark County is also partnering with the NFL to send out traffic related information related to Super Bowl 58.
- 35:09Sean McAllister: And so that was kind of like an opt-in or opt-out kind of a message.
- 35:12Dayna Roselli: I didn't opt out.
- 35:14Sean McAllister: I didn't opt out either.
- 35:15Sean McAllister: I want to know.
- 35:16Dayna Roselli: I love the F1 traffic alerts.
- 35:17Dayna Roselli: I thought they were really helpful.
- 35:18Sean McAllister: It was very helpful.
- 35:20Sean McAllister: So uh we are going to be receiving uh traffic updates now.
- 35:25Sean McAllister: And if you want to opt in for these alerts on your phone as well, you can go to uh the Clark County government social media channels and they have information posted there on how you can uh opt in, send a code to a text message um to opt in for those alerts.
- 35:47Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 35:47Dayna Roselli: And and maybe um if I get a chance, I'll throw it in the show notes.
- 35:50Dayna Roselli: We're recording right when that uh just before that information is gonna come out, and we were told to go to those channels to look for the information.
- 35:57Dayna Roselli: But I'll I'll try and put it in the show notes if we have it too, if you're interested in signing up for those text alerts.
- 36:02Dayna Roselli: They are helpful, they're not annoying, they come at appropriate times and all that kind of thing, but there's a long list of closures uh all the way through um, you know, like February 11th.
- 36:12Dayna Roselli: Also, um we did see a little something online um from I think it was channel eight online that was saying that they uh intend to completely remove all the temporary structures, and we're talking anything that has is related to the Super Bowl by February 16th.
- 36:31Dayna Roselli: Oh, wow, okay.
- 36:32Dayna Roselli: It should, you know, don't worry, it's not gonna be there for months and months and months.
- 36:35Dayna Roselli: We gotta get through the Super Bowl and then and then it should be gone by the 16th.
- 36:40Sean McAllister: And the bulk of the road closures are going to be surrounding uh Allegiant Stadium, right?
- 36:46Sean McAllister: And roads that get to Allegiant Stadium.
- 36:48Sean McAllister: Yeah, it's more of a security thing, right?
- 36:50Dayna Roselli: Exactly.
- 36:50Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and I got a lot to move in and move out, and it's it's a big production.
- 36:54Dayna Roselli: And you know, the Raiders are done playing there for now, so really hoping they hire that interim coach by the way.
- 37:01Sean McAllister: I know he's so good.
- 37:03Sean McAllister: We are and the team loves him.
- 37:06Dayna Roselli: Yeah, I'm hoping that happens a lot.
- 37:08Dayna Roselli: Um, hey, Piero's, we were over there doing a shoot the other day.
- 37:11Dayna Roselli: This is our other tip, and you know, I guess I I knew, but I forgot when they were like, you know, everyone always requests to sit in the casino booth.
- 37:18Dayna Roselli: And I was like, I forgot they shot parts of, if you didn't know this, the movie casino in Pieros, and there's a certain booth in Piero's where they filmed it.
- 37:27Dayna Roselli: And apparently they get requests over and over when people make dinner plans to sit there.
- 37:32Dayna Roselli: So if you didn't know that and you want a bit of nostalgia or you want to go relive it, Piero's right there on Convention Center Drive at Paradise is an old school Italian restaurant.
- 37:43Dayna Roselli: They just celebrated recently their 40th anniversary.
- 37:46Dayna Roselli: It must be like a couple years ago.
- 37:48Dayna Roselli: Yeah, a couple years now, so probably like 42.
- 37:50Dayna Roselli: Um, we love it there.
- 37:51Dayna Roselli: The food's amazing.
- 37:52Dayna Roselli: It's such a vibe.
- 37:53Dayna Roselli: It is such a vibe, right?
- 37:55Dayna Roselli: It's it's just cool.
- 37:56Dayna Roselli: The pictures on the wall, even just like takes you a while to get through it all, looking at it all.
- 38:00Sean McAllister: There is.
- 38:01Sean McAllister: There is a ton of history there at Piero's.
- 38:04Sean McAllister: I love the connection to uh that classic movie, uh, Robert De Niro, Sharon Stone, Casino.
- 38:10Sean McAllister: Um, also a couple other restaurants that were filming locations for Casino, the Peppermill restaurant, right there on Las Vegas Boulevard, the north end, kind of across from Resorts World.
- 38:21Sean McAllister: Right.
- 38:22Sean McAllister: Um, there were scenes filmed there.
- 38:24Sean McAllister: Also at Oscar's Steakhouse.
- 38:26Sean McAllister: It wasn't called Oscar's at the time.
- 38:28Sean McAllister: Uh, this is over at the plaza in downtown Las Vegas.
- 38:33Dayna Roselli: So, yeah, they did actually film scenes all over.
- 38:35Dayna Roselli: So that's kind of cool.
- 38:36Dayna Roselli: Um, I love that.
- 38:37Dayna Roselli: I love our old school restaurants.
- 38:38Dayna Roselli: We just talked about the bootlegger last week.
- 38:40Dayna Roselli: So, I mean, we always like to throw that in because even though we have a lot of new, we also have a lot of established old school places that, you know, there were a lot of meetings at back in the day.
- 38:52Sean McAllister: They've seen some stuff.
- 38:53Dayna Roselli: They've seen some stuff.
- 38:54Dayna Roselli: Oh if the walls could talk, that's for sure.
- 38:57Sean McAllister: But thankfully they don't.
- 38:58Sean McAllister: I know.
- 38:59Dayna Roselli: Oh my gosh.
