- 0:00SPEAKER_00: Come and get your love.
- 0:05SPEAKER_00: Come and get your love.
- 0:09unknown: Come and get your love.
- 0:12SPEAKER_00: Okay, it's Jesus beyond a shadow of a doubt.
- 0:16SPEAKER_00: We want let's look this morning at why why is it Jesus really?
- 0:22SPEAKER_00: And what does it mean?
- 0:25SPEAKER_00: And what is the exceeding greatness of that power that He worked in us and He works in us?
- 0:33SPEAKER_00: And what does it mean to the world?
- 0:35SPEAKER_00: What's it mean to us?
- 0:36SPEAKER_00: What is the worldview of God?
- 0:38SPEAKER_00: What is the kingdom of God really?
- 0:40SPEAKER_00: We want to look at that this morning.
- 0:42SPEAKER_00: What is the kingdom of God?
- 0:44SPEAKER_00: What's it made of?
- 0:45SPEAKER_00: What's it do?
- 0:47SPEAKER_00: What is it going to do?
- 0:49SPEAKER_00: In all of this, we're going to give you a look at not only your present, but you you see the future.
- 0:56SPEAKER_00: And hopefully, as you see this, you see you see it like God does, because there is not a real uh there's not a real future with God.
- 1:04SPEAKER_00: He's always now.
- 1:05SPEAKER_00: Uh in biblical terms, he'll use future things.
- 1:08SPEAKER_00: He certainly did in the Old Testament because they were they were people of promise, but we're the people of the presence.
- 1:15SPEAKER_00: Um I want to start off with a beautiful verse of scripture from Isaiah 60.
- 1:22SPEAKER_00: And uh I used to I used to read this so much, looking at the future glory of the church.
- 1:33SPEAKER_00: But it's the now glory.
- 1:36SPEAKER_00: And uh it's the passage that starts out by saying, Arise and shine, for your light has come.
- 1:45SPEAKER_00: Arise and shine, for your light has come.
- 1:48SPEAKER_00: And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you.
- 1:55SPEAKER_00: Notice that it's not going to come, but that it has come.
- 1:59SPEAKER_00: The light is here.
- 2:00SPEAKER_00: The glory of God is risen upon you.
- 2:03SPEAKER_00: And notice he doesn't say that it's it's fallen upon you, but it's risen upon you.
- 2:08SPEAKER_00: That means it's coming from the inside out.
- 2:11SPEAKER_00: The fact that we're talking about the inside out is good news because that means that it's here, it's with us, it's in us, it's it's it's doing its thing right now.
- 2:19SPEAKER_00: Verse 2, for behold, darkness will cover the earth, and deep darkness will cover the people.
- 2:26SPEAKER_00: Um It seems like everybody I run into is looking at the is pointing at darkness because we can see a lot of it, we're hearing a lot of it right now.
- 2:36SPEAKER_00: We're very much aware of a lot of darkness, a lot of uh ugly.
- 2:42SPEAKER_00: And he said, darkness will cover the earth, and gross darkness would cover the people, but but the Lord will arise over you, and his glory will be seen upon you, on your life, on who you are, the glory of God.
- 2:58SPEAKER_00: And the glory of God, in its most simplest terms, is the goodness of God.
- 3:03SPEAKER_00: We've had, you know, the uh just to remind you, the the, you know, even Moses, when Moses would see all these things that we oo in awe about, and we even see them in our church revival service and certain things sometimes, uh, the uh a cloud, uh, a cloud of glory, we call it.
- 3:22SPEAKER_00: A pillar of cloud, they saw, and uh, and a pillar of fire and and and miraculous happenings.
- 3:27SPEAKER_00: And they're wonderful, they're powerful, but in all those things, while the cloud was standing right there in front of them, Moses still said, Lord, show me something.
- 3:36SPEAKER_00: Show me your glory.
- 3:38SPEAKER_00: I see all these outwards, I see all these manifestations, show me your glory because the cloud and the fire and and even the bread from heaven and all that stuff, that's not enough to get me to finish this job, to take these people in.
- 3:52SPEAKER_00: I need more than that.
- 3:55SPEAKER_00: Show me your glory.
- 3:56SPEAKER_00: Show me your glory.
- 3:58SPEAKER_00: And that's really that's a cry I have heard in the church world so much all my life, all my Christian life.
- 4:03SPEAKER_00: I've heard that, Lord, show me your glory.
- 4:05SPEAKER_00: We want your glory, want to, we want to feel your glory, we want to know your glory, we want to see your glory.
- 4:08SPEAKER_00: And Moses cried out, Lord, show me your glory, and God said, I will cause all of my goodness to pass before you.
- 4:18SPEAKER_00: And Moses saw that, and he was able to take the people on.
- 4:25SPEAKER_00: He said, His glory will be seen on you.
- 4:27SPEAKER_00: His glory, his who he is, his goodness, his virtue.
- 4:33SPEAKER_00: The Gentiles, that's those who did not know God, will come to your light.
- 4:40SPEAKER_00: And kings will come to the brightness of your rising, that glory, that goodness of the virtue of God that's rising upon you.
- 4:52SPEAKER_00: Now, very simply we understand that Jesus came and he God deposited the kingdom in the earth.
- 5:04SPEAKER_00: Jesus is called the seed.
- 5:05SPEAKER_00: That seed remains in us.
- 5:08SPEAKER_00: He put the kingdom here, sat down at the right hand of the Father, and there he sits.
- 5:14SPEAKER_00: He is sitting, resting.
- 5:18SPEAKER_00: It is finished, he said.
- 5:21SPEAKER_00: And the kingdom was was put in the earth.
- 5:24SPEAKER_00: It was put in, it was carried in one person, Him.
- 5:27SPEAKER_00: On the day of Pentecost, it was passed on to 120 people in the morning.
- 5:33SPEAKER_00: That afternoon, it was over 3,000 people.
- 5:36SPEAKER_00: And that kingdom has been doing just what Jesus said it would do.
- 5:40SPEAKER_00: It would continue to increase, and there would be no end of it.
- 5:43SPEAKER_00: It would continue to roll on.
- 5:46SPEAKER_00: And look at the worldview of God.
- 5:48SPEAKER_00: When we see all these things, a lot of times people get all, they get sort of anxious about some of the things that are going on, and these questions come up, and why doesn't God do something about this and that and the other?
- 5:58SPEAKER_00: And they're missing how the kingdom of God works.
- 6:01SPEAKER_00: He says, the kingdom is like a seed.
- 6:04SPEAKER_00: He said, the kingdom is like a little bit of yeast in some dough.
- 6:09SPEAKER_00: He said, until it works that whole thing, until it gets in all the lumps of dough.
- 6:14SPEAKER_00: And he talked about the kingdom as this way, and the kingdom was always something like a seed.
- 6:18SPEAKER_00: He always talked about the seed of the kingdom.
- 6:20SPEAKER_00: And he said, That seed is that word in you.
- 6:23SPEAKER_00: And the Bible says that God sent his word to heal us and to save us from our destructions.
- 6:29SPEAKER_00: And he put that kingdom within you.
- 6:31SPEAKER_00: In fact, in Luke chapter 17, verse 20, if we can look at that, he says, Now, when Jesus was asked of the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, he answered them and he said, The kingdom of God does not come with observation, nor will they say, See here or see there, for the kingdom of God is already within you.
- 6:53SPEAKER_00: He said, The kingdom of God is something that's inside you.
- 6:57SPEAKER_00: They're wanting to see something.
- 6:59SPEAKER_00: Now, we're going to look at something here.
- 7:00SPEAKER_00: We're going to see the difference between the outside in and the inside out.
- 7:04SPEAKER_00: And when you get this, there is such a treasure.
- 7:07SPEAKER_00: I think we miss the treasure.
- 7:10SPEAKER_00: We miss the treasure because of that we're carrying in this earthen vessel.
- 7:14SPEAKER_00: We miss the power of what we're in right now by continually looking to the outside to determine if that kingdom is advancing, to determine if that kingdom's working, to determine if we're in it, to determine really who we are.
- 7:36SPEAKER_00: And if you look at, if if God thought like most of us people do, even believers, he would look at this world.
- 7:46SPEAKER_00: 2,000 years after he deposited his kingdom, and he could look at this world and he would say, What I did didn't work.
- 7:52SPEAKER_00: It's an utter failure.
- 7:54SPEAKER_00: If he's looking at the outside.
- 7:56SPEAKER_00: If he's looking at the darkness and he's looking at what still hasn't been done and what needs to be done, he could look at that like humans do and say, Well, it's not working.
- 8:06SPEAKER_00: We're not there yet.
- 8:07SPEAKER_00: God's got to do something else.
- 8:09SPEAKER_00: But he's resting, it's finished because he did the only thing that's that works.
- 8:13SPEAKER_00: He did the only thing that's that's that ever has worked and the only thing that's ever gonna work.
- 8:18SPEAKER_00: He put heaven into the earth.
- 8:20SPEAKER_00: What more can he give to the earth?
- 8:23SPEAKER_00: The kingdom of heaven.
- 8:25SPEAKER_00: Heaven is here.
- 8:27SPEAKER_00: God, Almighty God, creator, is with us here now.
- 8:34SPEAKER_00: What's he gonna do?
- 8:35SPEAKER_00: Give you another God that's better than him?
- 8:37SPEAKER_00: What more is he gonna do?
- 8:39SPEAKER_00: Where's that something extra when he gave us who he is?
- 8:44SPEAKER_00: He is the Holy Spirit in you.
- 8:52SPEAKER_00: While they were looking outside, he said, it doesn't come like that.
- 8:55SPEAKER_00: That's not what you're looking for.
- 8:57SPEAKER_00: When they say it's there, it's there, look, that's the kingdom, look what's going on.
- 9:01SPEAKER_00: Look what they're doing there.
- 9:02SPEAKER_00: That's the kingdom, that's the kingdom.
- 9:04SPEAKER_00: He says, the kingdom is something else.
- 9:06SPEAKER_00: The kingdom is in is inside you.
- 9:08SPEAKER_00: Now, now, specifically, uh, what is it?
- 9:10SPEAKER_00: When we look at Isaiah chapter 9, he says something else about the kingdom, chapter 9, verse 7, and he says that of the increase, I like to quote this a lot, of the increase of his government or kingdom, and of the increase of peace, there shall be no end.
- 9:27SPEAKER_00: So he's not concerned about this because he put the yeast in the dough, he put the seed in the ground, and it has been increasing and multiplying ever since, not just numerically, but we can see it, many of us we can see it increasing inside of us.
- 9:41SPEAKER_00: It's changing us.
- 9:43SPEAKER_00: It's changing us, it's changing how we see things, it's changing our action.
- 9:47SPEAKER_00: It really is working something from the inside out.
- 9:51SPEAKER_00: Now, specifically, when we're talking about this, we all see this and we might all agree on that, but what exactly is increasing?
- 9:58SPEAKER_00: What exactly is this thing?
- 9:59SPEAKER_00: What is this thing that he gave to the earth, put inside of us, and this one thing that needed to be done, the only thing, and the and and the one thing that needed to be done, what is this thing called the kingdom?
- 10:11SPEAKER_00: Well, the Bible says in one place that the kingdom of God is righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost or the Holy Spirit.
- 10:22SPEAKER_00: It's in the Holy Spirit.
- 10:24SPEAKER_00: So when we were given the Holy Spirit, we got God.
- 10:28SPEAKER_00: We got everything.
- 10:30SPEAKER_00: And he uses those three words to describe, to describe the inner working.
- 10:35SPEAKER_00: He says it's righteousness, peace, and joy.
- 10:37SPEAKER_00: Those are things that are inside.
- 10:40SPEAKER_00: You're not going to go over to that wall and get peace.
- 10:43SPEAKER_00: It's something that's that that he puts in us.
- 10:46SPEAKER_00: Remember, he said, and that peace I give you, not like the world does.
- 10:51SPEAKER_00: Because the world gives you peace when it the world gives you peace when it quits attacking you.
- 10:58SPEAKER_00: I don't even like to use that word attack because it's not attacking you.
- 11:00SPEAKER_00: The world gives you peace when it's not oppressing you, when the situations of this world are not bothering you.
- 11:09SPEAKER_00: When your personal life seems to be like it's going at an even kill or pretty well, then you feel a peace, but that's a peace that comes from the outward because that can change tomorrow.
- 11:20SPEAKER_00: One thing can happen, and all that feeling of peace can change tomorrow.
- 11:24SPEAKER_00: He says, I give you a peace, not like the world gives, I give you a peace that passes understanding.
- 11:29SPEAKER_00: It doesn't make sense.
- 11:30SPEAKER_00: So even when things are not peaceful all around, there can be a storm on the Sea of Galilee, you will still have rest and you'll have peace.
- 11:37SPEAKER_00: He says, it's going to be a peace I give you.
- 11:39SPEAKER_00: It'll be inside.
- 11:40SPEAKER_00: It won't come from anything that's happening outside.
- 11:44SPEAKER_00: It won't come because of how your body looks or how it feels.
- 11:47SPEAKER_00: It won't come because of what the nation is doing.
- 11:50SPEAKER_00: It won't come because of what your neighbors or your or your family's doing.
- 11:53SPEAKER_00: It won't come because of your abundance of money or lack thereof.
- 11:57SPEAKER_00: It will come, it will be given to you, and it will abide with you forever.
- 12:01SPEAKER_00: So it's it's that.
- 12:02SPEAKER_00: Also, Romans chapter 5, verse 5 describes the fullness of it really in this word.
- 12:09SPEAKER_00: It says that the love of God, says love of God has been poured out into our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.
- 12:18SPEAKER_00: So we're talking about all these things, but we're but understand we're not just talking about these, about ideas like love and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.
- 12:27SPEAKER_00: Remember, we're talking about the kingdom.
- 12:30SPEAKER_00: Now think about the kingdom, however your mind can imagine it.
- 12:33SPEAKER_00: Think about the kingdom.
- 12:35SPEAKER_00: God in his kingdom.
- 12:38SPEAKER_00: God dwelling there.
- 12:40SPEAKER_00: God, even think of all the old songs we would sing about how we can't wait to die and go to heaven or fly away and go to heaven.
- 12:49SPEAKER_00: Can't wait to get there.
- 12:50SPEAKER_00: We would sing about that unless we felt like we were getting close.
- 12:52SPEAKER_00: Then we didn't want to go always, right?
- 12:55SPEAKER_00: But but um but think about it, because the songs are all about how wonderful it is there.
- 13:02SPEAKER_00: How wonderful heaven is.
- 13:14SPEAKER_00: We will shout and sing God's praises.
- 13:17SPEAKER_00: And and every it was all about how that.
- 13:20SPEAKER_00: There won't be one blind man in Hallelujah Square.
- 13:23SPEAKER_00: When we all get to heaven, the lame man said, I'm gonna walk like you.
- 13:26SPEAKER_00: We think of absolute goodness.
- 13:28SPEAKER_00: Absolute life.
- 13:30SPEAKER_00: Nothing bad.
- 13:31SPEAKER_00: We don't see God being angry.
- 13:33SPEAKER_00: We think of that kingdom of heaven.
- 13:35SPEAKER_00: We think of goodness, we think of love, we think of life, we think of wholeness, we think of peace, a crystal sea without one ripple upon it.
- 13:47SPEAKER_00: We think of the kingdom, life, the realm of God's eternity in his spirit, the kingdom, which has always existed, always will, before this element of creation of time, and after it's all done, there will always be the kingdom.
- 14:06SPEAKER_00: Before, now, forevermore.
- 14:08SPEAKER_00: The kingdom.
- 14:09SPEAKER_00: It's life, it's perfection.
- 14:13SPEAKER_00: No darkness, no sin, no anything, just life, goodness, righteousness.
- 14:19SPEAKER_00: Now I think of it.
- 14:20SPEAKER_00: Peace.
- 14:21SPEAKER_00: I think of the kingdom of heaven.
- 14:23SPEAKER_00: Joy.
- 14:24SPEAKER_00: Right?
- 14:24SPEAKER_00: It's easy to imagine that there's no anything less than joy in the kingdom of heaven.
- 14:29SPEAKER_00: Nobody thought that when they die, they're going to have days of depression in heaven.
- 14:36SPEAKER_00: Because you have a knowing that it's God.
- 14:44SPEAKER_00: You would think about being in the presence of God, how wonderful it'll be.
- 14:47SPEAKER_00: I don't know how some people, you know, the way Christians fight each other all the time over every little thing, I don't know what they think, how, why they think that everybody goes to heaven, that everybody's just gonna be so happy and loving and wonderful?
- 15:02SPEAKER_00: Um I mean, I see it being that way too.
- 15:06SPEAKER_00: But how is that gonna work out?
- 15:09SPEAKER_00: A are all of you guys gonna find out that I'm right the whole time and you'll all agree with me, and that's why we're not gonna be fighting each other?
- 15:15SPEAKER_00: I don't, you know.
- 15:18SPEAKER_00: Are all those who don't agree with you just not gonna make it so there'll be unity in heaven?
- 15:22SPEAKER_00: You know?
- 15:24SPEAKER_00: Amen.
- 15:25SPEAKER_00: I know, I know, I'm just kidding.
- 15:26SPEAKER_00: I know I know that's not right.
- 15:37SPEAKER_00: But it's all these things, it's that it's Him who is love, and that love was poured out so that everything that you could ever imagine about the kingdom of heaven was given to us.
- 15:51SPEAKER_00: And it's something that's inside.
- 15:53SPEAKER_00: And he said it will arise, it'll work from the inside out.
- 15:57SPEAKER_00: He put something in these earthen vessels to do something, and he didn't give it to us, save us, then kill us, then take us to heaven, because it wasn't about that.
- 16:07SPEAKER_00: It was about the world that God loved.
- 16:12SPEAKER_00: This planet.
- 16:13SPEAKER_00: He didn't want it to be in just him.
- 16:15SPEAKER_00: He dies, so there would be many.
- 16:18SPEAKER_00: And he wanted the many, he his will was that many sons come to glory, because as he reveals in 1 Timothy, because he willed that all be saved and all come to a knowledge of the truth.
- 16:30SPEAKER_00: How they come to the knowledge of the truth?
- 16:32SPEAKER_00: By seeing this very thing, this glory of God, this goodness that's been placed up in us that manifest out outside of us.
- 16:38SPEAKER_00: And that's why creation is eagerly anticipating the manifestation of the sons of God.
- 16:44SPEAKER_00: The invisibility of the sons of God is that which is hidden within you, but the manifestation is when the things of the kingdom, the righteousness, the peace, the joy in the Holy Spirit, the love that's been shed abroad in our heart, the nature of God is shown, seen, and imparted and given to people of the world.
- 17:06SPEAKER_00: Now, throughout history, because of mankind's obsession with the outward rather than the reality of the inward, even those who have stood in the name of the kingdom of God have gone about it the wrong way, usually historically.
- 17:23SPEAKER_00: There have been so many religious wars going on now.
- 17:28SPEAKER_00: Why are so many, in fact, most wars religious wars?
- 17:33SPEAKER_00: Because people have an idea they're trying to establish the kingdom from the outside in.
- 17:41SPEAKER_00: They try to establish the kingdom by subduing.
- 17:44SPEAKER_00: They try to establish the kingdom by conquering and overcoming.
- 17:48SPEAKER_00: And the reason they do that is because they feel like if if we can get this to manifest out here.
- 17:56SPEAKER_00: You know, honestly, now, you know, nowadays here in America, we're glad things all work out for the good.
- 18:01SPEAKER_00: We've got a wonderful country.
- 18:02SPEAKER_00: We're all glad to be here.
- 18:03SPEAKER_00: Most of us are, I think.
- 18:04SPEAKER_00: But but, you know, uh initially it starts out, you know, Columbus and his guy, they're coming over, they're coming over to establish the kingdom over here.
- 18:12SPEAKER_00: So they turn, you know, and if people don't submit, they turn them into slaves or they slaughter them or whatever, but they're doing all this in the name of God, trying to work it from the outside in.
- 18:22SPEAKER_00: So I want to show you a picture of a of a lady that went to establish the kingdom in the United States about a hundred years ago or so.
- 18:32SPEAKER_00: Her name is uh Carrie Nation.
- 18:34SPEAKER_00: Y'all ever heard of Carrie Nation?
- 18:36SPEAKER_00: She's a beautiful lady.
- 18:40SPEAKER_00: And she uh she led the prohibition movement before it was actually enacted into law in 1920 or somewhere around there, 1920, 1919 actually.
- 18:53SPEAKER_00: But but um leading up to that, she was a woman, she's a Christian woman, got that hatchet in her hand.
- 19:00SPEAKER_00: She was known for having that hatchet in her hand because she went around and and and she determined, and she now, don't get me wrong, she did a lot of good things.
- 19:06SPEAKER_00: She, I mean, she helped the poor and and did things, and she started these homes for for like battered women, uh, and many of them were like wives of alcoholics and children of people.
- 19:17SPEAKER_00: And so she she determined that alcohol was the one root of all evil in the world.
- 19:25SPEAKER_00: Because she'd seen the effects of drunkenness and alcoholism.
- 19:28SPEAKER_00: And uh and so she determined that that was the effect.
- 19:30SPEAKER_00: And so, in her mind, if we could get rid of the alcohol, then we won't have all of these problems.
- 19:37SPEAKER_00: See, there again, thinking if we can fix the outside, then nobody will ever hit their wife.
- 19:44SPEAKER_00: Kids will all have happy families, so forth and so on.
- 19:48SPEAKER_00: Well, you find out, you know, if you look around, you find there's lots of people that don't drink that hit their wives.
- 19:52SPEAKER_00: There's lots of kids that aren't in happy families where alcohol's not in.
- 19:54SPEAKER_00: But that's what that was her idea.
- 19:56SPEAKER_00: So she sets out and she was full of passion and zeal.
- 19:59SPEAKER_00: And she goes, she sets out, she takes this hatchet, and she goes to every uh travels all up and down this part of the country.
- 20:05SPEAKER_00: She lived in Texas for a while, Kansas, Oklahoma.
- 20:08SPEAKER_00: She she and she'd go to every bar and uh any place that served alcohol, and she would just go in.
- 20:13SPEAKER_00: People were scared of her.
- 20:14SPEAKER_00: Look at her.
- 20:15SPEAKER_00: She'd go in with that hatchet, she'd go into the bars and the saloons, and she would just bust up everything and bust up all the liquor bottles with that hatchet.
- 20:22SPEAKER_00: And apparently they just they were scared of her.
- 20:24SPEAKER_00: She'd walk out, you know, and she'd go down the road and do it to the next place.
- 20:28SPEAKER_00: And she was she was very, very famous, and so she was probably the most instrumental uh instrument to that led to the prohibition.
- 20:36SPEAKER_00: She got a following.
- 20:37SPEAKER_00: People did it, didn't do it with the same method she did, but a lot of the uh, and they were mostly Christian women, older Christian women, that that agreed with her that alcohol was was the root of all of our problems, and so they've got to get rid of this alcohol.
- 20:51SPEAKER_00: So, in fact, she called herself, see, she has this famous quote.
- 20:55SPEAKER_00: If you ever just just Google her name, you will find this quote uh almost every time.
- 20:59SPEAKER_00: She says, I am like a bulldog running along at the feet of Jesus, barking at what he doesn't like.
- 21:05SPEAKER_00: I think there are so many bulldogs in the in the church world right now barking at what it's funny, she says barking at what Jesus doesn't like.
- 21:13SPEAKER_00: It's interesting that he's not barking.
- 21:16SPEAKER_00: But she is.
- 21:17SPEAKER_00: How many I you know I've I've seen people, you know, walking their dog.
- 21:20SPEAKER_00: I've done it.
- 21:21SPEAKER_00: I remember living in the town and having a, you know, and and walking a dog and and you're going along here and that dog's mad at somebody or something, and mad at this dog.
- 21:30SPEAKER_00: I'm not mad at that dog.
- 21:32SPEAKER_00: But but that dog's just barking at all kinds of things.
- 21:36SPEAKER_00: You see people barking, you see people walking dogs, and the dog starts barking at you and all that, and like the dog is is is sure that that I'm a I'm trouble, I'm a threat, I'm an enemy, you know, but the the master doesn't hate me.
- 21:49SPEAKER_00: But she's barking at everything that Jesus doesn't like.
- 21:52SPEAKER_00: She has determined what Jesus likes and what he doesn't like, and she's going after what he doesn't like.
- 21:56SPEAKER_00: And she's sure that what he doesn't like is this alcohol, and she's going to get rid of the alcohol.
- 22:00SPEAKER_00: Alcohol, and then that will get rid of all of our problems because alcohol is the root of all of our problems.
- 22:05SPEAKER_00: So then we passed prohibition.
- 22:07SPEAKER_00: Alcohol is totally illegal.
- 22:09SPEAKER_00: And all because of that, then we got people like this.
- 22:11SPEAKER_00: Here's a man named Al Capone who tried to make Chicago his own.
- 22:15SPEAKER_00: But he he became rich on prohibition, became very rich and powerful, and people like him.
- 22:19SPEAKER_00: That's when mafia became got big, organized crime and so on, all because of the prohibition on alcohol.
- 22:27SPEAKER_00: People uh continued near nearly a hundred percent, there was nearly a hundred percent, uh eventually got up to almost a hundred percent of the original consumption when it was legal.
- 22:37SPEAKER_00: Uh not only that, but but then there was a rise of opium and um opiates being used, heroin and morphine and other other kinds of drugs.
- 22:45SPEAKER_00: And uh all these things were going on, crimin criminals, people became criminals, and all this went on.
- 22:51SPEAKER_00: And so this is where organized crime really got its foothold and has kind of had one ever since.
- 22:58SPEAKER_00: And this is all because when they they made it illegal and they got rid of one problem, but they rose up a whole lot of other problems because the wrath of man does not work the righteousness of God.
- 23:09SPEAKER_00: Being mad about the alcohol use was not going to establish God's kingdom on the earth.
- 23:15SPEAKER_00: It just brought more problems.
- 23:17SPEAKER_00: The crusades, every religious wars, everything has always brought more problems.
- 23:21SPEAKER_00: Even the individual Christian trying to be righteous by outward works and outward looks and outward activity actually causes more problems and does not establish the kingdom of God in the earth.
- 23:35SPEAKER_00: This thing works from the inside out.
- 23:37SPEAKER_00: Do you believe that?
- 23:39SPEAKER_00: I do.
- 23:40SPEAKER_00: So now, just real quickly, I want to tell you about something.
- 23:46SPEAKER_00: Prohibition lasted about 13 or 14 years.
- 23:49SPEAKER_00: They quickly said, oh man, this got out of hand.
- 23:51SPEAKER_00: That was a mistake.
- 23:52SPEAKER_00: So they repealed prohibition, they made it all legal again and taxed it and and uh got rid of the illegal bootlegging and the the gangsters no longer could make their money on illegal alcohol, they had to find other things.
- 24:05SPEAKER_00: And so so then the whole drug thing came up came along.
- 24:09SPEAKER_00: And and drugs, most drugs were were were all legal until fairly recently.
- 24:16SPEAKER_00: Um but at one point America declared the war on drugs.
- 24:20SPEAKER_00: Um after after the repeal of prohibition, then there started becoming this antipathy towards uh drug use, pot and opiates and things.
- 24:29SPEAKER_00: And finally, in 1970, then Nixon declared the war on drugs.
- 24:33SPEAKER_00: He he established the uh controlled substances, controlled substance, whatever, uh the DEA, the drug enforcement agency.
- 24:41SPEAKER_00: All that started uh under our our good President Nixon, and I love Richard, but uh he did this and thought it would be a good idea, and then what that did is that gave rise, instead of the Al Capones, now what we have today is the the drug cartels, and we have the guys like El Groucho, Chapo, Graucho, El Chapo, and all these, and we have these these big drug dealers, drug leaders of drug cartels now, and they're if you uh you you study that many of them their incomes are bigger than the countries that they're living in.
- 25:19SPEAKER_00: Colombia, Venezuela, El Chapo, El Chapo, even rivaled Mexico.
- 25:25SPEAKER_00: That's why they have so much power.
- 25:27SPEAKER_00: And they're like bigger than the government themselves, and so they're we gave rise to that.
- 25:33SPEAKER_00: And I've read that they even to this day, that these drug uh cartel leaders, they actually support American politicians that want to continue the war on drugs because once they stop the war on drugs and they start taking it into uh to where where they can manage it legally, um, then it takes it out of their hands.
- 25:53SPEAKER_00: See, anyway, the point is you've got all these problems, people trying to fix it from the outside outside in.
- 25:58SPEAKER_00: There's a there's a an experiment called rat park.
- 26:01SPEAKER_00: And I think I've mentioned this before, but within this, when that was something that led up to the war on drugs, was they did an experiment uh on these rats, and they would put they'd put a couple of rats in a in a in a terrarium, an aquarium kind of thing, and they would give them a choice between normal water and water that was laced with uh some uh morphine.
- 26:22SPEAKER_00: And they noticed that that after the rat would taste both waters, he would choose to keep going back to the morphine.
- 26:28SPEAKER_00: And they determined that that morph morphine is the problem, that the drug is the problem because these drugs are addictive.
- 26:35SPEAKER_00: And so that's why the rat just kept going back to the morphine instead of the regular thing, because they determined he got this addiction to it, and so he just kept wanting to go back and go back and go back, and finally would drink so much that the rat would die from it.
- 26:48SPEAKER_00: And so that was kind of how what it was all about.
- 26:52SPEAKER_00: Um later on, somebody looked at that and said, well, let's try some, let's try the same experiment another way.
- 26:56SPEAKER_00: But he did it, he built a rat park.
- 26:58SPEAKER_00: He gave he built a cage that was 200 times bigger than the one they used the first time.
- 27:04SPEAKER_00: They put in wheels and balls and things, they put in 20 other rats with them, both male and female, and let them just live their life.
- 27:11SPEAKER_00: And they did what rats what rats are made to do.
- 27:13SPEAKER_00: They're social animals.
- 27:14SPEAKER_00: They mate, they like to play, they do all these things, and they had all this opportunity to do that, and because their little rat life was fulfilled the way a rat life is supposed to be fulfilled, they did not go back to the morphine water.
- 27:28SPEAKER_00: Of course, they would all try it because they didn't know better, but once they realized what it did, they would not go back to the morphine because their insides were fulfilled, essentially.
- 27:40SPEAKER_00: They had something else that was better going on.
- 27:44SPEAKER_00: And they they didn't even have to get rid of the morphine because the rat just didn't care for it.
- 27:52SPEAKER_00: There again, just an example of how it works from the inside out.
- 27:55SPEAKER_00: And this is what God knew, and what God knows.
- 27:57SPEAKER_00: That's why he didn't come down and fix everything that people wanted to fix, even to this day.
- 28:02SPEAKER_00: When people say, why doesn't God do this, that, or the other?
- 28:04SPEAKER_00: They have this idea of how he controls things, uh, and and and they know that he's all-powerful, because he is.
- 28:12SPEAKER_00: So if he's all-powerful, because if I was all-powerful, I would just get rid of all that.
- 28:17SPEAKER_00: But he's but he understands that does not establish the kingdom at all, because God could get rid of all of that, and without this being established, all of that starts again tomorrow.
- 28:30SPEAKER_00: Do you hear that?
- 28:32SPEAKER_00: It all starts again tomorrow because of the kingdom not being established in the people.
- 28:45SPEAKER_00: Remember this statement.
- 28:46SPEAKER_00: If you get nothing else, there's one statement that you can get from this.
- 28:50SPEAKER_00: We cannot expect the secondary work, the outward, to be done in our lives if the if the primary, the first work is not established.
- 29:03SPEAKER_00: That's why he came to give us the first work.
- 29:07SPEAKER_00: He gave us, he said, I will give you a new heart.
- 29:11SPEAKER_00: But what about all this?
- 29:12SPEAKER_00: I'll give you a new heart.
- 29:14SPEAKER_00: But what about all the trouble?
- 29:16SPEAKER_00: There's trouble out there.
- 29:18SPEAKER_00: But in me there will be peace.
- 29:20SPEAKER_00: You have peace.
- 29:22SPEAKER_00: Be happy in the middle of it because I've overcome all that by giving you this.
- 29:26SPEAKER_00: Greater is he that's in you.
- 29:28SPEAKER_00: This is the kingdom of heaven.
- 29:30SPEAKER_00: This is power, this is perfection, this is God working in you.
- 29:35SPEAKER_00: So we have that prohibition and how it backfired, things like how all those things end up backfiring.
- 29:41SPEAKER_00: Compare that to another another example from the same time in history, the early 1900s, when all these same things happened.
- 29:50SPEAKER_00: There's this this guy is named Evan Roberts.
- 29:52SPEAKER_00: He he he is uh credited with leading the Welsh Revival uh in the early 20th century.
- 29:59SPEAKER_00: In the Welsh Revival, God moved through his ministry so much that hearts all over the nation, I mean, just hearts changed and turned to God.
- 30:12SPEAKER_00: They found God, they met God.
- 30:15SPEAKER_00: And there again, just Google Welsh Revival and you will see this right off the top.
- 30:21SPEAKER_00: The bars all closed down in Wales, not because they were commanded to close down, they just didn't get the business.
- 30:32SPEAKER_00: Because the insides had changed.
- 30:34SPEAKER_00: Not only that, I mean it's even says that even like the dance halls, the theaters, and the even their um, they call it football, it was soccer games to us.
- 30:41SPEAKER_00: Uh even those, the attendance was way, way down because people were were staying at home and being with their kids and their wives and husbands and their families and things, and things were people were happy and people were loving each other because they were changed, their heart was changed in the inside.
- 30:57SPEAKER_00: See, and what what what what Carrie Nation and his others do, let's try to change all, let's take away all of that, and that'll make it better.
- 31:06SPEAKER_00: But God says from the very beginning, He says, No, I'm gonna put my seed in you.
- 31:10SPEAKER_00: This is what's gonna give you heaven.
- 31:12SPEAKER_00: So what if you, you know, everything is about this.
- 31:15SPEAKER_00: If you stop and think about it, think of one outward thing that you want.
- 31:21SPEAKER_00: Maybe it's this much money, maybe it's you want your body a certain weight, or or maybe you want this, maybe you want certain you want these things.
- 31:32SPEAKER_00: Let's say if you had a choice, and it's not either or, but let's say if you had to have a choice, for instance, if I got out of control and I I weigh 300 pounds, I I don't ever want to look like that, but if I did, and I had peace and joy and love inside of me, and I had, or let me say it this way, if I had to choose, I would take the peace, joy, and love because I could live with that as if I were in heaven, if because heaven is in the heart.
- 32:13SPEAKER_00: If I were a perfectly sculpted male model type of body, and had oppression and anger and stress and worry and all these things in my heart, which one do you think would be?
- 32:29SPEAKER_00: You'd say, Oh, but you'd look good.
- 32:30SPEAKER_00: But it wouldn't matter.
- 32:32SPEAKER_00: I would look great, and everybody give me compliments, but I would feel horrible.
- 32:37SPEAKER_00: See, this is what this is God's wisdom.
- 32:38SPEAKER_00: He says, I'm gonna fix the inside.
- 32:40SPEAKER_00: I'm gonna give you heaven in here.
- 32:42SPEAKER_00: I'm gonna fix this.
- 32:43SPEAKER_00: Now, this whole thing is power.
- 32:45SPEAKER_00: It works from the inside out.
- 32:46SPEAKER_00: It restores, it brings, so it all does.
- 32:49SPEAKER_00: So, so that's wonderful.
- 32:50SPEAKER_00: That's what can be expected.
- 32:52SPEAKER_00: That's faith and hope.
- 32:55SPEAKER_00: But I tell people, establish the now work because it's finished and it's in you right now.
- 33:01SPEAKER_00: It's God working in you.
- 33:02SPEAKER_00: Here's how God works from the inside out.
- 33:04SPEAKER_00: In fact, uh, last verse is Philippians chapter 2, verse 13.
- 33:10SPEAKER_00: This is where it's at.
- 33:11SPEAKER_00: For it is God who works in you.
- 33:15SPEAKER_00: In you, that's causing you both to will and do his good pleasure.
- 33:20SPEAKER_00: It's him causing you to do these things.
- 33:23SPEAKER_00: It's him that's giving you the desire, the perception.
- 33:28SPEAKER_00: And then he goes on, he says, And now so do all things without complaining and disputing, that you may become blameless and harmless children of God, without thought, in the midst of, look at this, a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world.
- 33:45SPEAKER_00: So here we are in this world.
- 33:47SPEAKER_00: There's a lot of things to be upset about, a lot of things to point at, a lot of darkness to point out and to curse.
- 33:53SPEAKER_00: And he says, here we are, we're in the midst of, and that word, those words crooked and perverse, those are pretty ugly words, aren't they?
- 34:00SPEAKER_00: Look them up.
- 34:01SPEAKER_00: They're basically the same word.
- 34:03SPEAKER_00: Close.
- 34:04SPEAKER_00: And they mean misinterpreted, disillusioned.
- 34:09SPEAKER_00: They're not getting it right.
- 34:12SPEAKER_00: The words crooked and perverse, like, ah, they're just bad people.
- 34:15SPEAKER_00: No, they're not seeing it right.
- 34:17SPEAKER_00: They don't know.
- 34:18SPEAKER_00: They're deceived.
- 34:20SPEAKER_00: It that's it's their their vision's not right.
- 34:23SPEAKER_00: That one of those words uh is is actually scolio.
- 34:26SPEAKER_00: You've heard of scoliosis.
- 34:28SPEAKER_00: Uh the word crooked is more, it's just like they're not lined up.
- 34:32SPEAKER_00: Just not lined up.
- 34:35SPEAKER_00: And uh and he says, and so here's how it's working.
- 34:38SPEAKER_00: Here's some here's the good news.
- 34:40SPEAKER_00: This is why I'm excited.
- 34:41SPEAKER_00: This is why I'm so happy about being alive in this world, and why I'm excited for this nation and this planet.
- 34:49SPEAKER_00: Because God's working in us.
- 34:51SPEAKER_00: And that kingdom is here.
- 34:54SPEAKER_00: And that kingdom is to be seen.
- 34:56SPEAKER_00: And once the body of Christ, once the church people, once believers know, see, and acknowledge that good thing that's in them.
- 35:07SPEAKER_00: That's in them now.
- 35:09SPEAKER_00: Not what they wish they had later, but that good thing that's in them now.
- 35:12SPEAKER_00: Because what we have is good.
- 35:14SPEAKER_00: What we have is powerful.
- 35:16SPEAKER_00: Love, joy, and peace is powerful.
- 35:19SPEAKER_00: And while there's darkness and misalignment and misinterpretation and all and deception and lies and all this stuff that's covering people's lives and their vision and hearts in this world, where is the glory?
- 35:33SPEAKER_00: Where's the light that shines in the darkness?
- 35:35SPEAKER_00: It's right here.
- 35:37SPEAKER_00: It's right here.
- 35:39SPEAKER_00: Comes out in my smile, in my words.
- 35:42SPEAKER_00: The lifestyle that is working from the inside out.
- 35:46SPEAKER_00: It's changing us from the inside out, and wonderful things are happening, and this thing's only going to increase, not decrease.
- 35:54SPEAKER_00: We're getting better.
- 35:55SPEAKER_00: We're getting brighter.
- 35:57SPEAKER_00: We're getting more effective.
- 36:01SPEAKER_00: The kingdom of God is not fragile.
- 36:05SPEAKER_00: We are not about to lose this battle.
- 36:09SPEAKER_00: We're not even really in one.
- 36:11SPEAKER_00: We are not about to, we're we are not, the kingdom of God on the earth is not about to face annihilation because of who becomes the next judge.
- 36:22SPEAKER_00: We as a kingdom of God are not about to lose a battle, to be fight, to face annihilation.
- 36:28SPEAKER_00: The kingdom of God is not going to be crushed.
- 36:30SPEAKER_00: We're not going to become ineffective.
- 36:32SPEAKER_00: It can't happen.
- 36:36SPEAKER_00: Will I be effective like Carrie Nation?
- 36:39SPEAKER_00: No.
- 36:40SPEAKER_00: But I'll be effective in another way.
- 36:43SPEAKER_00: How y'all doing?
- 36:45SPEAKER_00: Arise, shine.
- 36:46SPEAKER_00: Your light is here.
- 36:48SPEAKER_00: And the glory is on you.
- 36:49SPEAKER_00: Stand up, guys.
- 36:52SPEAKER_00: Father.
- 36:57SPEAKER_00: First of all, we thank you for the power that works in us mightily.
- 37:02SPEAKER_00: Something on the inside works something on the outside.
- 37:08SPEAKER_00: I'd like everybody right now to take a minute.
- 37:13SPEAKER_00: Right where you're at.
- 37:14SPEAKER_00: This is my altar call, right where you're at.
- 37:19SPEAKER_00: Take this moment to acknowledge.
- 37:23SPEAKER_00: Acknowledge heaven inside you.
- 37:26SPEAKER_00: And if heaven is in us, wow.
- 37:31SPEAKER_00: What can it do when that heaven is what's pouring out of us?
- 37:47SPEAKER_00: I remember um when I was in my twenties and I was a a uh I got saved when I was 21.
- 37:57SPEAKER_00: I was probably about 25 at this point.
- 37:59SPEAKER_00: I just started Bible school.
- 38:03SPEAKER_00: And I was applying for a job.
- 38:05SPEAKER_00: I saw an ad where somebody was wanting a youth worker at a Christian ministry of some kind.
- 38:14SPEAKER_00: I think it might have been camp.
- 38:18SPEAKER_00: And so I was talking to the guy, and he says, So what qualified I said, Do you have any experience or qualifications working with juvenile delinquents?
- 38:31SPEAKER_00: And I said, Well, I I I used to be one.
- 38:36SPEAKER_00: So it's a bad answer because he goes, Well, all that tells me is you can get mad too.
- 38:42SPEAKER_00: And I'm like, Well, you wanted you said Christian, but my nature has changed.
- 38:46SPEAKER_00: I'm different now.
- 38:47SPEAKER_00: But anyway.
- 38:48SPEAKER_00: But I but I really liked his answer.
- 38:50SPEAKER_00: I thought it was pretty smart because he was right.
- 38:52SPEAKER_00: He says, Well, just saying that you used to be a juvenile delinquent means that you can get mad too.
- 38:56SPEAKER_00: These boys are already mad.
- 39:00SPEAKER_00: And uh, you know, what creation is eagerly anticipating is not to find out that we as Christians can get mad too.
- 39:12SPEAKER_00: They're waiting for heaven.
- 39:16SPEAKER_00: Well, we used to just sit around at the bus stop and wait for a heaven up yonder.
- 39:22SPEAKER_00: The world was waiting for a heaven in here.
- 39:25SPEAKER_00: The manifestation of the sons.
- 39:26SPEAKER_00: What's the manifestation of the sons of God?
- 39:29SPEAKER_00: Not that we're a bunch of Christian spiritual delinquents that can get mad too.
- 39:36SPEAKER_00: They're waiting for love, joy, peace, gentleness, goodness, kind of.
- 39:41SPEAKER_00: They don't, they a lot of them don't even know it's in the world.
- 39:44SPEAKER_00: When they see you, they'll know.
- 39:46SPEAKER_00: They can see that it is in the world.
- 39:54SPEAKER_00: And he says, be ready to give a reason for the hope because that's where your evangelism, that's where your message comes in.
- 40:01SPEAKER_00: You tell them why do you do what you do?
- 40:05SPEAKER_00: Why do you have what you have?
- 40:06SPEAKER_00: Why are you will you respond that way?
- 40:08SPEAKER_00: His name is Jesus.
- 40:10SPEAKER_00: It's all because of Jesus.
- 40:12SPEAKER_00: That's where you get this.
- 40:14SPEAKER_00: That's where you get this heaven, that's where you get this strength to stand in a storm.
- 40:22SPEAKER_00: That's where you get this joy to smile in the face of trouble and even death itself.
- 40:28SPEAKER_00: This is the power, and it's in the world.
- 40:32SPEAKER_00: And what we have is a sound of voice, a glory that human flesh cannot replicate.
- 40:40SPEAKER_00: And Father, I thank you for this treasure that's in us, and we give you glory and honor, and we thank you for the joy that you've given us.
- 40:47SPEAKER_00: We thank you for the love and the peace that you've put in our heart, that strength to stand in this hour.
- 40:52SPEAKER_00: Father, we thank you for your healing, life-giving, restoration, heavenly kingdom of God power that even quickens and heals our mortal bodies, all those with sickness, pain in you or in your loved one right now.
- 41:05SPEAKER_00: Acknowledge that good thing that's in you.
- 41:07SPEAKER_00: From the inside out, this works.
- 41:10SPEAKER_00: From the inside out, from the inside out, restoration.
- 41:14SPEAKER_00: From the inside out, goodness happens even from the inside to the outside.
- 41:21SPEAKER_00: It is now.
- 41:23SPEAKER_00: It's now.
- 41:24SPEAKER_00: Arise, shine.
- 41:26SPEAKER_00: Wherever you see darkness, let it shine.
- 41:28SPEAKER_00: If it's in your body, if it's in your household, if it's in the world out there, that glory rises and it shines.
- 41:36SPEAKER_00: It'll never be subdued, it'll never be overcome.
- 41:40SPEAKER_00: It'll never decrease, but only increase.
- 41:43SPEAKER_00: And it's increasing in you and I now.
- 41:45SPEAKER_00: Father, we give you praise for these things in Jesus' name.
- 41:47SPEAKER_00: Amen.
- 41:48SPEAKER_00: God bless you guys.
