- 0:09By the. Hypnotherapist demanded by
- 0:11celebrities CEOs and even royalty Adam Cox these
- 0:16recordings took place live from Adam 's clinic in London 's
- 0:19world famous Harley Street. This podcast features powerful
- 0:23hypnosis so do not listen while driving or operating machinery
- 0:27this recording is not suitable for those with epilepsy or
- 0:30severe mental health issues so get yourself comfortable.
- 0:34And enjoy. Today's episode of the
- 0:36hypnotist. Hi it's Adam here and in this
- 0:43episode of the hypnotist you're going to be listening to a
- 0:46hypnosis session that was created for a client that would
- 0:50find themselves. In a state of inertia they would
- 0:54take on projects they would agree to things but then they
- 0:59would feel very very difficult to get into the state of doing
- 1:03what needed to be done and this is all about creating certain
- 1:10behavioural triggers certain new beliefs but also time management
- 1:16techniques that enable. A clear productive block of time
- 1:24to enable things to actually get done because quite often people
- 1:27get into a state where they know what needs to be done but they
- 1:30find themselves checking emails going back and forth and
- 1:36actually they feel like they're being busy because they're kind
- 1:39of doing work but nothing really gets done in that time and this
- 1:44is about something entirely different it's about clearing
- 1:47everything. So that just the very important
- 1:53thing that needs to be done is focused on and nothing else and
- 1:57this client liked the idea of wearing a lab coat because in
- 2:02their industry certain designers would wear lab coats when
- 2:07they're working with certain garments so that's why the lab
- 2:10coat is mentioned rather than that they're a scientist the lab
- 2:14coat the watch the headphones gets them in a particular state.
- 2:19And the timer comes from something called the pomodoro
- 2:22technique it's a time management technique where actually if you
- 2:26set the original pomodoro is for 20 minutes it's called a
- 2:31pomodoro because it was a timer set for making pasta that look
- 2:37like a tomato and pomodoro is Italian for tomato so that's
- 2:43where the time management technique comes from and it
- 2:46works on the basis of doing 2 things one.
- 2:49You're saying that you can't possibly get everything done in
- 2:52that 20 minutes or perhaps 40 minute block but you can get a
- 2:57lot of progress made if you just dedicate that time to doing the
- 3:01thing so it manages your own expectations it doesn't feel too
- 3:07daunting that you've got this never ending task to do because
- 3:10you're saying right you're just going to do it for let's say 20
- 3:13or 40 minutes. But it also breaks inertia and
- 3:17builds momentum a lot of people when they use this technique and
- 3:21I use this technique a lot myself I've got if you see my
- 3:24YouTube videos you'll see there's glass sand timers in the
- 3:27in the background they're not just props I actually use them
- 3:31and I have them for all different time frames I have one
- 3:34for 15 minutes one for 30 minutes one for 45 minutes and
- 3:38if there's something I need to get done and I know I'm
- 3:40procrastinating I just. Get everything ready I turn the
- 3:44glass and timer over and then I just focus on that thing and
- 3:48quite often I can't finish it within the time frame but if I'm
- 3:51making so much progress I just continue until it's done anyway
- 3:56but if you've got a big big project like writing a book or
- 3:59you know something that's going to take weeks and weeks it still
- 4:02works to block out these time chunks because there's a saying
- 4:07and they they use it for kids. When children are are worried
- 4:11about something too challenging they say how do you eat an
- 4:14elephant and the answer is one bite at a time and a big task is
- 4:22inevitably going to be built up of lots of small accomplishments
- 4:27so you've got all of this time management techniques and
- 4:29mindset strategy in this session and it's all designed to create
- 4:35a space? Where you can actually get
- 4:37things done now for this client it was a workstation it was a a
- 4:42studio for you it might be a desk or a different workspace if
- 4:48you're a creative might be an art studio if you're a chef it
- 4:53might be a kitchen but I want you to think of this space where
- 4:57you would actually create your work and just replace that in
- 5:01here equally? It might not be a lab coat and
- 5:04headphones it might be certain other props and this is a ritual
- 5:08to get you into that state so this was for the client but you
- 5:12can change it to make it more suitable and relevant for you
- 5:17and if you like the idea of having a bespoke session or
- 5:20working with me directly in the description in the show notes
- 5:24you can actually see a link to book a free 30 minute
- 5:28consultation call. To explore working with me so
- 5:31certainly feel free to check that out for now though find a
- 5:36quiet comfortable place where you won't be disturbed relax and
- 5:40enjoy the session. Yeah.
- 6:44Take a deep breath in and as you breathe in breathe in that
- 6:49resourceful feeling of calm and relaxation and as you exhale
- 6:54slowly just allow your eyelids to close and as they close feel
- 7:04that in this moment you are entering a transition.
- 7:11Consider it a bridge from one version of you into the version
- 7:17of you that really gets things done and you don't have to try
- 7:24to relax just notice the breath entering your body and leaving
- 7:31again inhale and exhale. And with each breath you settle
- 7:42deeper into your focused self I want you to get a sense of
- 7:50scanning your body for any clues of tension stress or worries and
- 8:00just feel that when you're breathing in you're breathing in
- 8:02that resourceful feeling of calm and relaxation.
- 8:08And as you exhale just feel those echoes of tension
- 8:15procrastination or hesitation starting to leave your body in
- 8:21your outward breath that's it because you've been in a cycle
- 8:28for too long certain things where you've thought of them
- 8:34felt fine at the time but when you took on that commitment.
- 8:38It led to feelings of stress and then that meant that you
- 8:43procrastinated and you procrastinated long enough until
- 8:49you came to the conclusion that it's just not worth doing
- 8:52anymore and how many times does this story have to play out
- 8:59doors closed reputation with certain individuals damaged.
- 9:07I want you to get a feeling that enough is enough you are done
- 9:13with that version of you and you are eager and open to activating
- 9:22that new version of you a version of you that is able
- 9:31willing and determined to get done.
- 9:36Whatever needs to be done so I'd like you to use the power of
- 9:42your imagination and imagine the space where you normally attempt
- 9:50to get work done only this time in your mind I want you to
- 9:56imagine preparing the space organizing perhaps your
- 10:02workstation your studio. Making sure everything 's clean
- 10:07organized ready before the work gets even started you are
- 10:14organizing your space to minimize distractions and
- 10:19clutter and make it the kind of space that you would feel that
- 10:25you want to work in and as you imagine organizing your space.
- 10:32Just imagine your headphones nearby in the exact style and
- 10:37colour that they are but I also want you to notice a lab coat
- 10:44either folded or hanging waiting for you like a symbol of your
- 10:49creative power a uniform that puts you in work mode and
- 10:57enables you to check yourself in at the door.
- 11:01Only that productive focused version of you gets to wear the
- 11:07lab coat the headphones and perhaps a watch that means
- 11:16something to you but as you look around this space I also want
- 11:21you to see a particular timer perhaps you see yourself setting
- 11:30that timer. It's maybe 20 minutes 30 minutes
- 11:33or 40 minutes imagine what that would look like you set the
- 11:39timer but you do not start the timer not until your space is
- 11:46clean you're wearing the lab coat you're wearing the
- 11:50headphones playing whatever music would get you into that
- 11:54state and only. When all of those things are
- 11:59true and you're wearing that watch then you start the timer
- 12:08but even the ritual of wearing these things seeing them I want
- 12:16you to feel something shifting inside a kind of check in kind
- 12:22of like entering a theatre or stepping onto a stage?
- 12:27Where you become the version of yourself who delivers who
- 12:31finishes who follows through so now imagine putting on the lab
- 12:40coat maybe you can see yourself in a full length mirror and you
- 12:46see yourself wearing the lab coat knowing that your workspace
- 12:50is tidy and whether it's a button or a zip?
- 12:56The very process of putting on the lab coat and making sure
- 13:01that you feel comfortable in it locks in clarity focus and
- 13:06presence this isn't a costume it's now a signal to your
- 13:14unconscious mind that it's time to create to execute to move and
- 13:23then imagine putting on your headphones.
- 13:26And it's almost like the outside world fades away all noise all
- 13:31distractions disappear it's just you the task whatever music
- 13:37you're playing creating a quiet sharp focus and then imagine
- 13:46seeing your timer that's all ready to set and I want you to
- 13:52imagine this. The very time that you press the
- 13:59start button this is your zone you will not tolerate any
- 14:05interruptions or distractions everything can wait until after
- 14:12whatever timer you've set for is finished this is the moment you
- 14:18begin you focus entirely like a laser beam.
- 14:23And whatever the work is at hand not later not someday but now
- 14:32and you are no longer the version of you that overthinks
- 14:37you're not frozen you're flowing so as you imagine pressing the
- 14:41start button on the timer wearing your headphones your lab
- 14:45coat your watch I want you to feel that you are in a.
- 14:53Laser beam focus state to do whatever needs to be done and
- 14:57imagine doing that whatever work perhaps represents the very next
- 15:03thing that you need to do and as you imagine doing your work
- 15:09focused I will give you suggestions allow these
- 15:14suggestions to be like seeds being planted in your
- 15:17subconscious mind or commands to your unconscious.
- 15:22Enabling you to not even think about these but just allowing
- 15:27your subconscious mind to accept them knowing that they will make
- 15:31you more productive more focused and more accomplished because
- 15:36from this point onwards every time you prepare your space and
- 15:43prepare any materials or things you will need to do the
- 15:46particular thing that you need to do.
- 15:50You are also preparing your mind and the moment you wear your lab
- 15:55coat you enter a state of creative authority and when you
- 16:02press start on your timer you lock into a productivity state
- 16:09of mind and all the tools you've chosen the headphones the coat
- 16:16the watch and the timer. Like a ritual helping you enter
- 16:21flow quickly and easily and the more often it works then the
- 16:28more often it will work again in the future as you are building
- 16:32powerful associations and anchors with a resourceful state
- 16:39because you honour your time by using it intentionally and
- 16:45powerfully. Deadlines are not pressure they
- 16:50are portals into the next version of you and you no longer
- 16:56delay in fact you look for opportunities to begin as soon
- 17:01as you can and don't be surprised if the momentum that
- 17:06comes from that is what carries you forward because fear of
- 17:12success dissolves when you remember that you deserve.
- 17:17This life and all of the opportunities that comes with it
- 17:23because you can do hard things and you choose to start even
- 17:29when it's uncomfortable in fact if it's uncomfortable then it's
- 17:36an even bigger breakthrough when you put on that lab coat and
- 17:40start that timer and just work because you are breaking old
- 17:45patterns. You don't have to feel motivated
- 17:50to begin showing up creates the motivation and the more you
- 17:57complete the more confident you feel in your ability you're not
- 18:04invisible you are impactful and your work matters I want you to
- 18:12get a sense that the timer. Isn't because you're expecting
- 18:17to do everything in whatever the timer is set for it's just part
- 18:22of a pomodoro process because when you focus in short bursts
- 18:28it breaks inertia builds momentum and makes every session
- 18:33of productivity winnable you no longer chase perfection you
- 18:41pursue progress. Accept this command like it's
- 18:49written in stone in your subconscious mind you finish
- 18:55what you start you honour your commitments and that gives you a
- 19:00powerful edge feel each suggestion rooting itself deeper
- 19:07and deeper into your subconscious mind becoming part
- 19:11of your identity. Unleashing a desire for that
- 19:15next session of productivity perhaps you could imagine a day
- 19:24maybe even tomorrow you've set the environment you know what
- 19:29needs to be done the space is ready and you slide on the coat
- 19:34the headphones you put your watch on set the timer.
- 19:41And then you start the timer the task you once resisted done I
- 19:50want you to get a sense that whatever it needs to be done is
- 19:53getting done complete sent followed whatever you need to do
- 19:59feel how good it would be to do it and you flow from one block
- 20:05of work to another blocks of productivity and then a break.
- 20:11Another block of productivity and then a break knowing that
- 20:15the next time you start you have more momentum each time as each
- 20:20block reinforces the rhythm and there is no panic no doubt only
- 20:27presence you feel something even more valuable than confidence
- 20:34that the more you do this the more able you are to trust in
- 20:39yourself. That when you say you will do
- 20:43something you will do it if you agree to a deadline it's because
- 20:49you will do whatever it takes to make that deadline and then when
- 20:55the work is done there's a feeling of pride not because you
- 21:01finished it perfectly but because you showed up you
- 21:05followed through you became the kind of person.
- 21:10That is building a reputation of someone that delivers and from
- 21:17this moment forward whenever you want to enter this state you can
- 21:24it only takes the ritual the coat the headphones the watch
- 21:30the timer and then focused activity.
- 21:37And now your unconscious mind locks in this pathway from
- 21:41preparation to presence from hesitation to execution from
- 21:47fear to flow you don't need to force it you just need to begin
- 21:58and I want you to imagine going forward a year from now a year
- 22:01of living this way. How many more opportunities have
- 22:06come your way and there is a saying if you need something
- 22:11done give it to someone that's extremely busy I want you to get
- 22:16a sense that a year from now you will have built a reputation of
- 22:19someone that is a doer that gets things done you will move
- 22:26whatever needs to be moved to manifest whatever needs to be
- 22:30manifest? And I want you to get a sense
- 22:33that there is more opportunities a more powerful reputation
- 22:40connected to you but also a cause and effect relationship
- 22:47all of those projects that happened in the past some of
- 22:51them will have had a ripple effect to influence your future
- 22:58maybe that's career success business success.
- 23:00Financial success reputational success just observe that a year
- 23:07from now that is what you can expect just by building a ritual
- 23:14to enter a flow state it's time to leave this place but you
- 23:21leave this place with a new strategy a new mindset.
- 23:27You no longer fear success because you know that it's all
- 23:30optional when doors of opportunity open you get to
- 23:37choose whether or not you walk through so take a deep breath in
- 23:43through your nose and out through your nose just wiggle
- 23:47your fingers and wiggle your toes connect and calibrate into
- 23:50the here and the now as I now count from one to 10 to awaken
- 23:55you. Starting to count 123 waking up
- 24:01456 more alert 78 open your eyes open your eyes 910 wide awake
- 24:08wide awake wide awake. None.
