- 1:15Speaker 2: Weekend, Great weekend watching ball number one. Let's just get
- 1:18Speaker 2: this out of the way. I love football.
- 1:20Speaker 1: I love football.
- 1:21Speaker 2: The games we get the witness outside of the Seahawks Niners,
- 1:24Speaker 2: but even that one.
- 1:24Speaker 1: Even that, it's like, you're like, good, we have one
- 1:26Speaker 1: of these. You needed that because every game was touch
- 1:29Speaker 1: and go, multiple overtimes. Yeah, and you get to watch
- 1:32Speaker 1: Seattle just beat on a beat up forty nine ers team, right, Okay, good?
- 1:36Speaker 2: Yeah, Seattle just being a machine of a team. They're
- 1:39Speaker 2: the ones that feels like it's their super Bowl.
- 1:42Speaker 1: To let me ask you this, we're gonna get in
- 1:44Speaker 1: all the games. But if you're to look at divisional round,
- 1:47Speaker 1: is there a clear cut this team's winning the Super Bowl?
- 1:49Speaker 2: To you, I think it will be the Seahawks defeating
- 1:53Speaker 2: the Patriots in the Super Bowl.
- 1:55Speaker 1: We're very aligned in that.
- 1:57Speaker 2: Yeah, I know. Going in, I know, going into the playoffs,
- 2:01Speaker 2: it was my brain was that it's gonna be Seahawks,
- 2:05Speaker 2: Seahawks Patriots or Seahawks Patriots in that Jacksonville game. But
- 2:08Speaker 2: Jacksonville ended up losing to the Texans. But now that
- 2:12Speaker 2: it's now that we're there, like it's Seattle, it's Seattle Patriots,
- 2:15Speaker 2: Like that's the Hill.
- 2:17Speaker 1: Yeah, Seattle. I could see it going either way in
- 2:19Speaker 1: the NFC Championship game. But because of the bow Knicks news,
- 2:23Speaker 1: if nobody heard bow Knicks broke an ankle second to
- 2:26Speaker 1: last play of the game, last play of the game
- 2:27Speaker 1: all a conspiracy. Theorists behind that Twitter doctors apparently corn
- 2:31Speaker 1: to Jeremy Klumpper saying that, hey, this guy actually had
- 2:34Speaker 1: a broken ankle before the game, allegedly, and they just
- 2:37Speaker 1: made him play instead. He ended up getting the overtime
- 2:39Speaker 1: win against the Bills. But because they have a backup
- 2:41Speaker 1: quarterback in it's like, you gotta just.
- 2:44Speaker 2: Assume imagine somebody out there right now just learning that
- 2:48Speaker 2: bow Knicks is injured for people that might not know
- 2:53Speaker 2: bon Knicks broke his ankle, and they're like, what bon
- 2:57Speaker 2: Nicks broke in.
- 2:57Speaker 1: You're serious, honey, I thought, do we watch the game? Yeah,
- 3:00Speaker 1: we watched game. No postgame press conference.
- 3:02Speaker 2: Only shit, he said in this group chats, Hey, do
- 3:04Speaker 2: you guys hear about this? Like do you even consume
- 3:08Speaker 2: any football?
- 3:09Speaker 1: It is wild with the with the NFL playoffs due
- 3:12Speaker 1: to people like tailing. I put on that Broncos Bills
- 3:15Speaker 1: game the other day. I think it was Saturday afternoon.
- 3:18Speaker 1: Put that one on my head. You should come watch
- 3:19Speaker 1: this game. I kind of start giving her the storylines.
- 3:21Speaker 1: Josh Allen, he's, you know, owing whatever and away games
- 3:24Speaker 1: before these playoffs started, but all of them were to
- 3:27Speaker 1: Joe Burrow and Patrick Mahomes except for his first the
- 3:30Speaker 1: playoff game is a rookie. We start getting to it,
- 3:32Speaker 1: talking about Josh, the Dick jokes, all the things. So
- 3:35Speaker 1: she's starting to get invested and she's screaming at the TV.
- 3:38Speaker 1: Gets her so much to where I come down for
- 3:39Speaker 1: the kids to sleep last night and the Rams Bears
- 3:42Speaker 1: game is on in the bedroom and she's watching the game.
- 3:44Speaker 2: That was an electric game. Electric that Broncos Bills, game Man,
- 3:50Speaker 2: Fun one, Sad one, Sad one had one, fun one Yeah,
- 3:54Speaker 2: happy one.
- 3:55Speaker 1: There's a lot of emotions that took place, a.
- 3:57Speaker 2: Lot of emotion, a lot of emotion. I love both
- 4:00Speaker 2: of those teams. It's like there are moments to whoever
- 4:03Speaker 2: needed to score. I found myself rooting for that team. Yeah,
- 4:06Speaker 2: just because of how it was coming down to the wire. Tough,
- 4:10Speaker 2: tough day for the boy, Josh Allen, I know, incredible
- 4:14Speaker 2: football player like he is, Like he is arguably, if
- 4:17Speaker 2: not the best football player in the NFL. To see
- 4:20Speaker 2: it go down like that, knowing he is the he
- 4:23Speaker 2: is the massive reason that that team is in that position.
- 4:25Speaker 1: He's potentially the only reason. Like there's other reasons, but
- 4:29Speaker 1: he's the number one, without a doubt. Like, if you
- 4:31Speaker 1: didn't have Josh Allen, we might be talking about a
- 4:32Speaker 1: team that didn't make the playoffs this year.
- 4:34Speaker 2: Oh absolutely, yeah, absolutely, he didn't he to have a
- 4:38Speaker 2: game like that? What he did? Two picks, three fumbles
- 4:42Speaker 2: it three to two fumbles.
- 4:44Speaker 1: Yeah, going into half when he's holding that ball like
- 4:50Speaker 1: Shady McCoy running up the field with thirteen seconds left
- 4:53Speaker 1: in no timeouts, like you just got to take a
- 4:54Speaker 1: knee taking knee and then the fumble quick kick that's
- 4:57Speaker 1: a ten point swing. And I think the Broncos out
- 5:00Speaker 1: the ball in the second half right they started the game,
- 5:02Speaker 1: ended up not doing nothing with the ball. But you
- 5:05Speaker 1: put yourself in a horrible mental position to have them
- 5:08Speaker 1: go down score on. You know, you have thirteen seconds left,
- 5:11Speaker 1: no timeouts? Am I correct and saying that, let's just
- 5:14Speaker 1: assume no timeouts and you're on the twenty five yard line, like, buddy,
- 5:16Speaker 1: you gotta take that knee and just get in the half.
- 5:18Speaker 2: Yeah, and realize.
- 5:20Speaker 1: Where you're at.
- 5:21Speaker 2: Bonnicks are slinging it to slinging it. He was balling.
- 5:24Speaker 2: I wasn't.
- 5:26Speaker 1: He wasn't really a part of the game until the
- 5:27Speaker 1: second half, Like he was getting into a multitude of
- 5:30Speaker 1: different guys.
- 5:30Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, it was.
- 5:32Speaker 1: It was heartbreaking.
- 5:34Speaker 2: Buffalo being able to Buffalo being able to run the ball.
- 5:38Speaker 2: It's a dude, I hate that bon Nicks is not
- 5:40Speaker 2: in the I know everybody hates that. It sucks that
- 5:43Speaker 2: bon Nicks is not in the AFC Championship because even postgame,
- 5:46Speaker 2: when you really you find out that bone Nicks, which
- 5:48Speaker 2: by the way, it's like what a bomb then it
- 5:50Speaker 2: happened like, you know, second to last play the game,
- 5:53Speaker 2: allegedly conspiracy out there, everybody arguing that no, sooner than that,
- 5:56Speaker 2: and then Sean Payton's lying. But to just learn that
- 6:00Speaker 2: it was a situation we didn't even witness or see
- 6:04Speaker 2: or bow Knicks is celebrating doing all the things, and
- 6:06Speaker 2: then Sean Payton to walk to the podium back, Hey
- 6:09Speaker 2: we got some bad news, bow Knicks. He broke his ankle.
- 6:11Speaker 1: He's done for the season. Oh, you're in the You're
- 6:13Speaker 1: in the AFC Championship.
- 6:15Speaker 2: That And a part of my brain is like, and
- 6:17Speaker 2: I know that it's just not it's not the reality.
- 6:20Speaker 2: It's stupid, but I'm just like, we needed the Bills
- 6:23Speaker 2: just need to be in the AFC Championship.
- 6:25Speaker 1: Yeah, listen, I think it crossed a lot of people's
- 6:28Speaker 1: minds because where you where do you put the Broncos
- 6:31Speaker 1: like chances to beat the Patriots in this game?
- 6:33Speaker 2: Now they got a shot. It's not like the Patriots. Look,
- 6:35Speaker 2: it's not like the Patriots look unbeatable by any means,
- 6:39Speaker 2: but hey, Stidham, Stidham's got a shot to this is
- 6:43Speaker 2: this is legacy. He's got a shot to make so
- 6:45Speaker 2: much money.
- 6:46Speaker 1: He's got Nick Foles potential here. Yeah, Nick Fole drafted
- 6:49Speaker 1: by the Patriots. There was a they like played a
- 6:51Speaker 1: game when like I think Brady was out for a
- 6:53Speaker 1: game and uh, he like had like three or four touchdowns.
- 6:56Speaker 1: I think it wasn't four. Definitely wasn't four, but three
- 6:58Speaker 1: touchdowns in the game like kind of diced him up
- 7:01Speaker 1: a little bit. And if you think about it, the
- 7:03Speaker 1: biggest question mark going to the Broncos playoffs was is
- 7:06Speaker 1: the quarterback going to be able to facilitate the ball
- 7:08Speaker 1: because their defense is complete, their offensive line is incredible,
- 7:10Speaker 1: They're good enough on the outside perimeter, and they have
- 7:13Speaker 1: two running backs that are pretty great. And now it's
- 7:15Speaker 1: like bow Knicks is out, Maybe same thing happens.
- 7:19Speaker 3: The odds for the Super Bowl winner came out this
- 7:21Speaker 3: morning on FanDuel. The Seahawks sid at the leading favorite
- 7:24Speaker 3: at plus one fifty, Patriots plus two twenty, Rams plus
- 7:28Speaker 3: two twenty and then the Broncos plus thirteen hundred and
- 7:31Speaker 3: thirteen hundred.
- 7:33Speaker 1: Val might be worth a sprinkle, right, maybe worth a
- 7:37Speaker 1: sprinkle In this state of guy he played, he was
- 7:40Speaker 1: a bailer, He was a bear was he also an
- 7:43Speaker 1: Auburn Tiger. He was also an o protect so this
- 7:45Speaker 1: he got self a little taste of the nil transfer
- 7:47Speaker 1: area cool back before it was cool, before the bags
- 7:54Speaker 1: were flying. This kid was just transferred for the love
- 7:56Speaker 1: of the game. Like this, he's just a mercenary for
- 7:59Speaker 1: hire triots. Now he's at the Broncos sits behind bow
- 8:02Speaker 1: Nick's ultimate pro. Yeah, I'm kind of getting on board
- 8:05Speaker 1: because I haven't jumped on the bandwagon of the Broncos
- 8:08Speaker 1: all year, and now kind of feels like, I know,
- 8:12Speaker 1: I know, there's just to me. There was teams where
- 8:16Speaker 1: my heart slied a little bit different with the Bills
- 8:18Speaker 1: were my number one this year, followed closely by the Patriots.
- 8:22Speaker 1: I wanted to see the Chargers do well. I was
- 8:23Speaker 1: kind of on board with you when it came to
- 8:25Speaker 1: the Chiefs. I'll tell you who I really fell in
- 8:27Speaker 1: love with. It came to an abrupt end, but I
- 8:30Speaker 1: kind of fell in love with the Bears.
- 8:33Speaker 2: I thought you were gonna say the Jaguars the sneaky.
- 8:36Speaker 1: That's I think that's my titan's brain of the fact, like, yeah, okay,
- 8:39Speaker 1: good for them, let's say, hey, good for them. But
- 8:41Speaker 1: then on listeners They're like, yeah, good.
- 8:43Speaker 2: You know, yeah, what kind of shot do you think
- 8:45Speaker 2: the Broncos have against the Patriots? Buddy?
- 8:47Speaker 1: The more the more I'm kind of just talking about
- 8:49Speaker 1: without looking into Stidham, I don't want to disrespect the
- 8:54Speaker 1: young man. I don't hate it. Like Drake May's put
- 8:58Speaker 1: the ball on the ground multiple times. I think he
- 9:01Speaker 1: did it four times or five times. And this last
- 9:04Speaker 1: game against the Texans completely different. I mean, still two
- 9:06Speaker 1: elite defenses, but that pass rush is absolutely insane and
- 9:09Speaker 1: you losees two of those.
- 9:10Speaker 2: You see what a pass rush, like a defense like
- 9:13Speaker 2: that can do to Drake May. I'm not saying the
- 9:14Speaker 2: Broncos have the same elite type of pass rushers that
- 9:17Speaker 2: the Texas do, but it's still a defense that is
- 9:20Speaker 2: gonna be able to get after Drake right.
- 9:21Speaker 1: Right, And like they go into the wild card game
- 9:24Speaker 1: against the Jaguars, there's a handful of throws deep passes
- 9:28Speaker 1: that we've all kind of like dubbed Drake May as
- 9:30Speaker 1: the new best thrower of the deep pass in the NFL.
- 9:32Speaker 1: As as the regular season has gone on, hitting like
- 9:35Speaker 1: over seventy percent has a couple against the Jaguars, You're like,
- 9:38Speaker 1: all right, nerves, I expect it to be different.
- 9:43Speaker 4: Game.
- 9:43Speaker 1: Miss Austin Hooper big time on one that's like, oh
- 9:46Speaker 1: my god, and up Penny Henry later in the game,
- 9:48Speaker 1: same route. But then you go to this game and
- 9:51Speaker 1: it's like, Okay, he's under pressure quite a bit, but
- 9:53Speaker 1: he is getting the ball out fast. He's being very
- 9:55Speaker 1: decisive whether to run with it, go to his first
- 9:56Speaker 1: two reads and then realizing we don't got that kind
- 9:59Speaker 1: of time. But there's multiple throws downfield that he is missing,
- 10:02Speaker 1: getting one of Kashawan Booty at the end. Beautiful catch
- 10:05Speaker 1: by Booty, by the way, maybe right up A plus
- 10:07Speaker 1: for him. That was absolutely impressive. Yeah, that was a
- 10:11Speaker 1: But all that to be said, it's like, I think
- 10:14Speaker 1: this game's a lot well, I don't know what are
- 10:15Speaker 1: the odds right now, but I think the game is
- 10:16Speaker 1: a lot closer than we're kind of expecting to be.
- 10:18Speaker 1: When you hear, hey, this team that's going to the
- 10:20Speaker 1: AFC Championship, they're missing their starting quarterback.
- 10:23Speaker 2: Because the positive is they get to host it so
- 10:27Speaker 2: they'll be at home in Denver. And again, the defense
- 10:31Speaker 2: that the Broncos do have, like you watch the Patriots
- 10:34Speaker 2: Texan game, like I tweeted it yesterday, like I couldn't
- 10:36Speaker 2: take a piss without a turnover happening. Yeah, It's like
- 10:38Speaker 2: I'm sitting there trying to squeeze one off here and
- 10:40Speaker 2: that Charles like, oh, another fumble and you go out there.
- 10:43Speaker 2: The way these teams are putting the ball, turning the
- 10:45Speaker 2: ball over the way that the Texans were able to
- 10:48Speaker 2: get after Drake May, I see, like the Broncos should
- 10:52Speaker 2: be able to do something similar. And it's like, if
- 10:54Speaker 2: you're the Broncos Stidham that offense, you could only need
- 10:57Speaker 2: about seventeen points to win.
- 10:59Speaker 1: Maybe maybe, but I mean, I mean, Josh, what they
- 11:02Speaker 1: put thirty up on them with nobody at receiver, with
- 11:05Speaker 1: James Cook who had multiple fumbles or not multiple of
- 11:09Speaker 1: fumble prone running back throughout the season and had one
- 11:12Speaker 1: in the game. Josh Allen had multiple, but they still
- 11:14Speaker 1: put up thirty points.
- 11:15Speaker 2: That's yeah, Josh Allen, that Bill's offense, even though they
- 11:18Speaker 2: did have all those turnovers. But I'm just talking, like again,
- 11:20Speaker 2: looking at what the Patriots offense did against an elite
- 11:23Speaker 2: defense like the Texans, like the Broncos should be able
- 11:26Speaker 2: to suffocate them a lot more than they were able
- 11:29Speaker 2: to the Buffalo Bills.
- 11:30Speaker 1: I wonder if I want to see the weather report
- 11:33Speaker 1: in Denver as opposed to New England, because a lot
- 11:36Speaker 1: of things I've been seeing is like, when I think
- 11:38Speaker 1: about cold weather games as an offensive lignment, I'm thinking opportunity.
- 11:42Speaker 1: These guys are going to be slower, They're going to
- 11:44Speaker 1: be more cold than I am. That the hits hurt more,
- 11:47Speaker 1: but you're like you just it feels like football team,
- 11:49Speaker 1: like everyone's kind of slowed down. It's equalized for you
- 11:52Speaker 1: a little bit to where I feel like as an offensilinment,
- 11:53Speaker 1: I have the advantage putting it into perspective of these quarterbacks.
- 11:57Speaker 1: Their hands, their bare hands are out the whole time.
- 11:59Speaker 1: They don't feel their hands to see a lot more
- 12:00Speaker 1: balls on the ground. The weather, which one is this?
- 12:04Speaker 1: This is Denver, so forty one twenty nine, Sonny outside,
- 12:08Speaker 1: it's a little bit different New England. I'm assuming we're
- 12:10Speaker 1: having an overcast. We're in the teens right probably, So
- 12:14Speaker 1: I just wonder if that would play a factor at
- 12:16Speaker 1: all and actually helped Drake May out with holding the
- 12:19Speaker 1: ball a little bit better, with the deep passes, all
- 12:21Speaker 1: those things, because you see what CJ. Streutta as well,
- 12:23Speaker 1: Like that ball is slipping out of his hands in
- 12:25Speaker 1: New England and kind of just gives you a typic
- 12:27Speaker 1: of the cat that Tom Brady being, like this dude
- 12:29Speaker 1: operated in this weather. Yeah, if that is as big
- 12:31Speaker 1: of a factor as I've now kind of like viewed it,
- 12:34Speaker 1: because it is, it's gonna be. I think this game
- 12:36Speaker 1: is gonna be so much more interesting than people think.
- 12:38Speaker 5: Look at that Jared Stidham hasn't thrown a pass in
- 12:41Speaker 5: two seasons. Loving in his career, he's thrown eight touchdowns
- 12:46Speaker 5: and has had eight interceptions. Will, like we said earlier,
- 12:52Speaker 5: value of.
- 12:54Speaker 2: The optimistic part of me is again even though he
- 12:57Speaker 2: hasn't thrown a pass in a couple of seasons. The
- 12:59Speaker 2: way it feels like shit on Peyton, the way that
- 13:01Speaker 2: they operate in house offensively with breaking down situations, what
- 13:05Speaker 2: to do with the football. Here's what we're gonna do
- 13:06Speaker 2: in this situation. Uh, sitting behind bow Nick's hearing all
- 13:09Speaker 2: the conversations, partaking in all the conversations. You got to
- 13:12Speaker 2: assume he's gonna be ready to go to some extent,
- 13:15Speaker 2: it's just gonna be getting the rust off being out
- 13:17Speaker 2: there in a real game. Yeah, but it doesn't seem
- 13:21Speaker 2: like they're gonna have to like dumb down anything, you
- 13:24Speaker 2: know what I mean.
- 13:25Speaker 6: Do you think it hurts him that Josh McDaniels is
- 13:28Speaker 6: the one who traded for him for the Raiders, who
- 13:30Speaker 6: knows him very well. He started set him over Derek
- 13:34Speaker 6: Carr in Las Vegas when he was head coach. You
- 13:37Speaker 6: think that hurts him a little, that he kind of
- 13:38Speaker 6: knows all his weaknesses.
- 13:40Speaker 2: Probably the hurting him is just walking in and be like, Hey,
- 13:43Speaker 2: this ain't gonna be no cakewalk instead of boy, this
- 13:45Speaker 2: this kid can sling the rock a little bit.
- 13:47Speaker 1: Yeah, this is gonna be the classic. You get your
- 13:49Speaker 1: hands on him a couple of times, you can get
- 13:50Speaker 1: a little nervous and happy feet. He'll probably have a
- 13:51Speaker 1: couple of quirks like that, but it's like then you
- 13:53Speaker 1: got to do it.
- 13:54Speaker 2: Yeah, verybel right. Now, as we were talking, he is
- 13:56Speaker 2: de recruiting the high of the New England Patriots, whatever
- 14:01Speaker 2: image they might have in their mind that they're going
- 14:03Speaker 2: to go and walk in and win this game. You
- 14:04Speaker 2: ain't gonna just show up and win this game.
- 14:06Speaker 1: You can't to show up and win.
- 14:07Speaker 2: You can't do it?
- 14:07Speaker 1: Can we talk about the catch that wasn't a catch
- 14:11Speaker 1: that ended up being an interception on Cooks deep in
- 14:14Speaker 1: the game overtime? Bills go first, they go three and out.
- 14:19Speaker 1: What if they don't cross the fifty they end up
- 14:20Speaker 1: punting Bill's josh On methodically kind of get on the field,
- 14:24Speaker 1: get around that fifty yard line through a deep shot
- 14:27Speaker 1: to Cooks, which if he makes that catch, this game
- 14:29Speaker 1: is essentially over right. You get prayer, you trot Prader
- 14:32Speaker 1: out there, you kick it, you win, You're in the
- 14:34Speaker 1: AFC Championship and it doesn't take place. Do we think
- 14:37Speaker 1: it was a catch or do we think it was
- 14:39Speaker 1: for sure an interception?
- 14:40Speaker 2: I think it was for sure an interception.
- 14:42Speaker 1: Does anybody else in the back say no, that's a catch,
- 14:47Speaker 1: because it seems like the hot topic that's taking place, Well.
- 14:50Speaker 2: It was an interception. Yeah.
- 14:51Speaker 6: I mean, I don't want to like sit here and argue,
- 14:53Speaker 6: but like I feel like I thought it was a catch,
- 14:55Speaker 6: just because what is a catch. We're still in twenty
- 14:57Speaker 6: twenty six, We don't really know the fact we're still
- 15:00Speaker 6: debating it is kind of crazy. Yeah, my thought would
- 15:03Speaker 6: be the moment he hits the ground, he's down and
- 15:05Speaker 6: then they rolled and the other guy got the ball.
- 15:07Speaker 6: The slow mo makes it tough, so it's like it's not.
- 15:10Speaker 2: Like, yeah, people going frame by frame. It's like that
- 15:13Speaker 2: was such a bang bang playing and bang bang moment
- 15:15Speaker 2: to where you look at the DeVante Adams one, which
- 15:17Speaker 2: is something that similar. But Davante is like his feet
- 15:20Speaker 2: are on the ground and he's like moving a step
- 15:22Speaker 2: as he's going down to the ground to where you
- 15:24Speaker 2: see he's caught the ball.
- 15:25Speaker 1: Ye, he clearly has possession of touch and he's touched by.
- 15:29Speaker 4: He caught it and made one or two steps before
- 15:32Speaker 4: he got tackled.
- 15:32Speaker 2: Yeah, and he's got like a couple of guys on
- 15:34Speaker 2: him as he's going to the ground. This one was
- 15:36Speaker 2: just like he's Ariel. He's in the air, hitting the ground,
- 15:39Speaker 2: everything going on, and the dude just comes up with
- 15:41Speaker 2: the ball. Like I feel like that was the rest.
- 15:44Speaker 2: I agree that they have struggled at times and made
- 15:47Speaker 2: some bad calls. That second passing the pass interference calls
- 15:51Speaker 2: at the end of the game. The first one felt
- 15:53Speaker 2: a little ticky tacky, but okay, they got a pass interference.
- 15:56Speaker 2: It seems like the Broncos are gonna win the game.
- 15:59Speaker 2: But the second one, I thought bullshit. So I understand
- 16:01Speaker 2: the outcry and everybody being pissed off with how the
- 16:04Speaker 2: referees are calling some of these games, but that call,
- 16:07Speaker 2: in particular with the interception, I do believe that it
- 16:09Speaker 2: was an interception.
- 16:10Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't know if I'm too off base in this,
- 16:12Speaker 1: but when I look at the playoffs and it's winner
- 16:16Speaker 1: go home type of situation, guys are chasing their dreams,
- 16:19Speaker 1: especially in this game with a Josh Allen and Sean
- 16:22Speaker 1: Payton might be the only head coach of all time
- 16:24Speaker 1: to win two multiple Super Bowls for two different teams.
- 16:28Speaker 1: If you're a referee, it's got to be extremely egregious,
- 16:32Speaker 1: like balls in the air, defender tackles the guy on
- 16:35Speaker 1: the ground. All right, we have to throw on this.
- 16:37Speaker 2: We have to throw the flag.
- 16:39Speaker 1: But anything else that's like Tiki Taki hand grabbing. Maybe
- 16:42Speaker 1: he's a little draped over. I think we should always
- 16:45Speaker 1: edge on the side of let the boys play, let
- 16:48Speaker 1: him play the game, unless it's so over the top.
- 16:51Speaker 1: Think about a couple of years ago with the Eagles
- 16:53Speaker 1: and the Chiefs. The holding penalty that called that clearly
- 16:56Speaker 1: was a holding penalty. That's what I'm like, all Right,
- 16:58Speaker 1: you gotta call that. I hated the Afs are kind
- 17:00Speaker 1: of thrusting themselves within the storyline. What happened? What are
- 17:03Speaker 1: you looking back and forth for?
- 17:04Speaker 7: That was a terrible call? Are you kidding me?
- 17:07Speaker 2: In that Super Bowl? I thought it was ticky Tach.
- 17:08Speaker 2: I think that's what he's saying. That's to say, Taylor,
- 17:13Speaker 2: I'm saying it was a good call. Oh No, that's
- 17:15Speaker 2: ticky tag.
- 17:18Speaker 1: Hands holding him in the jersey's way for a yard apart.
- 17:20Speaker 2: Give the Eagles that super Bowl. That was tick ta.
- 17:24Speaker 1: I see who I'm talking to now, Yeah, yeah, I
- 17:26Speaker 1: see the two huh Birds fan chiefs hater they're now
- 17:30Speaker 1: they're finding love to me.
- 17:32Speaker 2: I I look at that.
- 17:33Speaker 1: I'm like, yeah, dude, he did. He wrapped his arm
- 17:35Speaker 1: around him, he pulled the jersey. It is what it is.
- 17:38Speaker 1: We in the We in the game like this and
- 17:39Speaker 1: we're throwing bombs down field unless the guy's tackling him.
- 17:42Speaker 1: Because there was one I think it was Spencer Brown
- 17:46Speaker 1: that had like a short corner kind of tugs the
- 17:49Speaker 1: guy a little bit. Josh gets the ball off. I
- 17:51Speaker 1: think it was actually on the plate to cook. It
- 17:52Speaker 1: might have been a different play, but that's one of me.
- 17:54Speaker 1: It's like, let him play, that's all. Listen. We're kind
- 17:57Speaker 1: of in the mode of we got to let these
- 17:59Speaker 1: these gentle and sorted out between the grid iron, not
- 18:01Speaker 1: a lot of the zebras to really dive into this
- 18:04Speaker 1: whole thing. That's my thought processing this.
- 18:07Speaker 8: I was happy to the exact point that the ole
- 18:10Speaker 8: Miss final play against Miami that they did not throw
- 18:13Speaker 8: a flag for p I.
- 18:15Speaker 2: So that that moment right there there was a massive
- 18:19Speaker 2: outcry the Dallas passer apperance. I do believe the Dallas
- 18:22Speaker 2: pass interference with you know, just in the way that
- 18:25Speaker 2: game was going. Would just love to see into the play.
- 18:27Speaker 2: Let's see if ole Miss can get it done. But
- 18:29Speaker 2: everybody's exploding over that not being a pass interference call,
- 18:32Speaker 2: and that just happened last weekend. Then you get into
- 18:35Speaker 2: these situations and you're seeing why they're you know, they're
- 18:37Speaker 2: throwing flags for these passer appearance you can call them
- 18:39Speaker 2: tiki tack whatever. So I the pendulum just swings every
- 18:43Speaker 2: which correction. Everybody just sees the zebra stripes. They just
- 18:47Speaker 2: want consistency. Yeah, so they want consistency.
- 18:50Speaker 1: So you're looking at the semi finals for the National
- 18:52Speaker 1: Championship in Arizona, and you think the NFL referees were
- 18:56Speaker 1: influenced by that.
- 18:58Speaker 2: No, No, I'm saying. I'm saying in the way I'm
- 19:00Speaker 2: saying the way everybody's human mind is working to where
- 19:03Speaker 2: they're so bought into this should have been a passer inference. Guy,
- 19:05Speaker 2: I can't believe it was a past your afference. Hey,
- 19:08Speaker 2: let him play, let him play. Then you got to
- 19:09Speaker 2: kind of bind into that. And then if you're if
- 19:12Speaker 2: you're watching your team get called to get something that
- 19:14Speaker 2: seems a lot more ticky tacking, you're like, well, why
- 19:16Speaker 2: aren't they Why are they fucking calling this? If they're
- 19:18Speaker 2: not out there calling that, you know what I'm saying.
- 19:20Speaker 1: Yeah, I think we keep the laundry in our pockets
- 19:23Speaker 1: unless it's so over the top of its like we
- 19:25Speaker 1: have to do something about this. Yeah, Because if you're
- 19:28Speaker 1: a was a tredivious White walks up to the referee
- 19:30Speaker 1: yells in his face. Kind of honestly, to me, it
- 19:33Speaker 1: was like a Kobe Basketball moment for that referee that
- 19:36Speaker 1: kind of just sat there playing face and he takes
- 19:38Speaker 1: the helmet throes the ground. He's just quietly, it takes
- 19:40Speaker 1: like two steps and just tosses the fucking air. Give
- 19:43Speaker 1: him him another penalty. I was like, this ref kind
- 19:45Speaker 1: of just body bagged White a little bit, kind of
- 19:47Speaker 1: body backed him a little bit. He can't be, can't
- 19:50Speaker 1: be slamming your helmet on the ground. You're getting a
- 19:51Speaker 1: fine too, You're gonna be headed off the cantcoon. It's
- 19:54Speaker 1: it's a heartbreaking situation. I feel terrible for the Bills
- 19:57Speaker 1: because I was really in the camp of, hey, we
- 19:59Speaker 1: can to go to the parade. This is the perfect
- 20:04Speaker 1: playoff scenario for Josh Allen and get through without having
- 20:07Speaker 1: Lamar or Mahomes or Burrow. Burrow in the playoffs. This
- 20:11Speaker 1: would have been amazing to see him, To see not
- 20:12Speaker 1: only Josh Allen but the Bills to finally get it off,
- 20:15Speaker 1: like finally figure it out and get it done.
- 20:18Speaker 2: What do you make of everybody kind of putting the
- 20:19Speaker 2: target on Josh Allen for he just can't get it done.
- 20:23Speaker 2: He's the reason that the Bills lost this game, putting
- 20:26Speaker 2: it kind of all on him, because again, you get
- 20:28Speaker 2: to this point to where you are in the playoffs
- 20:30Speaker 2: without you know, Burrow mahomes Lamar Jackson, and you just
- 20:35Speaker 2: feel all the commentating going on to where they've dialed
- 20:38Speaker 2: in and are going after Josh Allen for this loss.
- 20:41Speaker 1: Yeah. I think people who are comparing Josh Allen to
- 20:44Speaker 1: c J. Stroud right now of like, oh, you praise
- 20:47Speaker 1: Josh Allen for how well he did, but CJ. Stroud
- 20:49Speaker 1: had a similarly bad game. To me, it's not the same, Like,
- 20:51Speaker 1: you're not here, You're not in the divisional round without
- 20:54Speaker 1: Josh Allen. Josh Allen didn't play particularly well in this game.
- 20:57Speaker 1: He missed multiple throws, he had multiple turnovers with the ball.
- 21:00Speaker 1: He wasn't he didn't keep it up here. But it's
- 21:04Speaker 1: that kind of savvy backyard football miss that has gotten
- 21:08Speaker 1: Josh Allen to the place he's at. I think the
- 21:10Speaker 1: noise is a lot louder. I think it's not I
- 21:11Speaker 1: don't think it matters how loud it is to the public.
- 21:13Speaker 1: I think you can see it in the press conferences.
- 21:15Speaker 1: I saw a clip that someone put out of like
- 21:18Speaker 1: twenty nineteen, twenty twenty one, twenty twenty, like Josh Allen
- 21:22Speaker 1: in these heartbreaking last minute drives where he like gets
- 21:25Speaker 1: you know, defeated, by the Mahomes and the Burrows and
- 21:28Speaker 1: the and the Lamars, and it's you see him handle
- 21:32Speaker 1: the press confience. He's like, yeah, it's really heartbreaking. We'll
- 21:34Speaker 1: get in the offseason, we'll do whatever, and every single
- 21:37Speaker 1: season it's more and more sad, to the point where
- 21:39Speaker 1: we get to this twenty twenty five, twenty twenty six
- 21:41Speaker 1: playoffs and he's in tears, being like, I've let my
- 21:44Speaker 1: teammates down. And then it cuts right over to Dion
- 21:46Speaker 1: Dawkins who hears him make that comment. He gets choked up,
- 21:49Speaker 1: he starts crying about it, and a multitude of guys
- 21:52Speaker 1: being like, dude, this guy's putting it all on his shoulders.
- 21:54Speaker 1: It's not on him. It's not on him.
- 21:56Speaker 2: He just as as a player watching all of those
- 21:59Speaker 2: post game like reviews, you just understand as a player,
- 22:01Speaker 2: like how you're able to you you witness how close
- 22:04Speaker 2: this team is with each other, and you know at
- 22:06Speaker 2: the end of the year when it is all over,
- 22:08Speaker 2: it's gonna be a completely new team the next year
- 22:09Speaker 2: because changes get made. The game is the game. There's
- 22:12Speaker 2: no head coach, Yeah, new head coach now mcdermog getting fired.
- 22:15Speaker 4: Yeah, you guys are going into that.
- 22:18Speaker 2: But yeah, yeah, but it's not like it's going to
- 22:21Speaker 2: be this momentum thing that goes into the next year.
- 22:23Speaker 2: You know that this is kind of a bow is
- 22:25Speaker 2: on this season. I think what sucks too is when
- 22:28Speaker 2: you when you look at the CJ. Stroud Josh Allen
- 22:30Speaker 2: comparison in these two like heartbreaking style shitty losses, is
- 22:36Speaker 2: there's never like a thought in my mind that Josh
- 22:39Speaker 2: Allen is getting some type of yips or folding under
- 22:42Speaker 2: pressure or this. He's just he's he's like a gamer.
- 22:45Speaker 2: He's an elite quarterback who had a tough game and
- 22:48Speaker 2: obviously you see the way he's reacting after the game
- 22:51Speaker 2: takes it, whereas his emotions on a sleeve understands that
- 22:54Speaker 2: he missed out on a huge opportunity to Whereas like
- 22:57Speaker 2: when I'm watching CJ. Stroud, I'm I'm getting into the
- 23:00Speaker 2: last couple drives or the last drive in that first
- 23:02Speaker 2: half where he's just missing these incomplete passes, He's missing
- 23:05Speaker 2: guys and you just kind of see the look on
- 23:06Speaker 2: his face. It's like, oh man, this moment feels like
- 23:09Speaker 2: it's on top of him. I just I never get
- 23:11Speaker 2: that sense with Josh Allen to where it's like, oh,
- 23:13Speaker 2: this quarterback's in the playoffs, he's gonna lose. At some point,
- 23:16Speaker 2: it's more of just yeah, I don't know. I don't
- 23:19Speaker 2: know how to like fully articulate it other than like,
- 23:22Speaker 2: the dude is a ball of the dude's a gamer.
- 23:24Speaker 2: It sucks that he goes down and loses or he
- 23:26Speaker 2: lost this game, but he is the entire He is
- 23:29Speaker 2: the biggest reason this team is even at that point,
- 23:31Speaker 2: because again, they were a six seed going into going
- 23:34Speaker 2: into the Broncos the one seed.
- 23:36Speaker 1: Yeah, I agree with what you're saying. Befos like CJ.
- 23:39Speaker 1: Stroud and Josh Allen feel very different to me. You
- 23:42Speaker 1: look at Josh Allen, it's like without Josh, the Bills
- 23:44Speaker 1: don't make the playoffs. They're not in contention to even
- 23:47Speaker 1: win a Super Bowl. CJ. Stroud and the season that
- 23:50Speaker 1: he's had a coupled with the defense that they have
- 23:52Speaker 1: that has equalized and kept the Unders alive and every
- 23:55Speaker 1: FanDuel Better's dream when they watch the Houston Texan step
- 23:57Speaker 1: on the field, it's like, if CJ just took care
- 23:59Speaker 1: of the football, we're talking about the Texans probably playing
- 24:03Speaker 1: in the AFC Championship. Yeah, that's what that that's the
- 24:05Speaker 1: difference is CJ was and I this is this is
- 24:09Speaker 1: this sounds like way more critical than it should be,
- 24:11Speaker 1: but he is more of the reason why they lost
- 24:14Speaker 1: as opposed to Josh Allen. He was the reason. He like,
- 24:17Speaker 1: there's reasons why they lost because of some of his play,
- 24:19Speaker 1: but they would not be in the game if Josh
- 24:21Speaker 1: Allen wasn't playing in the game. Does that make sense?
- 24:23Speaker 7: The Texans were three to oh this year without c J.
- 24:25Speaker 1: Stroud starting right and and and yeah, you get Davis Like,
- 24:29Speaker 1: was it Davis Mills? Davis Mills Like he he played
- 24:32Speaker 1: really well. I'm a fan of c J. Stroud. I'm
- 24:34Speaker 1: a fan of like how much he loves the game,
- 24:36Speaker 1: the way he operates. I think this is a perfect
- 24:39Speaker 1: year for him. We'll get into that in our Jim
- 24:40Speaker 1: Beams segment, but like, I think this is a year
- 24:42Speaker 1: where this is you have all the delusion and the
- 24:46Speaker 1: hatred in your mind to motivate you in this offseason.
- 24:49Speaker 2: Yeah, how you can be.
- 24:50Speaker 1: Like it's me against the world. Nobody believes me, even
- 24:52Speaker 1: some of my teammates don't believe in me. But I'm
- 24:54Speaker 1: still gonna go do X Y and Z.
- 24:56Speaker 8: Yeah, I do have a good stat that I think
- 24:58Speaker 8: would make Bills fans very happy, make Josh Allen very happy.
- 25:02Speaker 8: The last quarterback to win a Super Bowl without a
- 25:05Speaker 8: child was Ben Roethlisberger back in two thousand and six,
- 25:10Speaker 8: so almost twenty years Hayley Seinfeld is pregnant. Next year
- 25:16Speaker 8: he will be a father. Things are looking up for Joshua.
- 25:19Speaker 2: Dad strength, Yeah, that dad strength, that actual little dad
- 25:22Speaker 2: power that he's gonna have. And too, like even the
- 25:25Speaker 2: when it goes to oh, everybody's so hard, gets so
- 25:27Speaker 2: hard on Lamar Jackson when Lamar loses a playoff game.
- 25:30Speaker 2: To me, it's like when Lamar gets in the playoffs.
- 25:32Speaker 2: There are those games in the playoffs to where it
- 25:33Speaker 2: just seems like he's playing out of character. Whereas Josh like, yeah,
- 25:37Speaker 2: you can't have those turnovers. But again it's like to
- 25:40Speaker 2: your point, he's the reason they're in the game and
- 25:43Speaker 2: even competing there at the very end. Whereas on the
- 25:46Speaker 2: Texans one, you're in the game because that defense is
- 25:49Speaker 2: so elite, Like, you know, New England could have ran
- 25:51Speaker 2: away with that one.
- 25:52Speaker 1: Yeah, Like Josh Allen has created enough evidence for us
- 25:55Speaker 1: to fall back on hey, like, we know you're gonna
- 25:58Speaker 1: make those mistakes, but at the same time, like you're
- 26:00Speaker 1: the reason why because you play this way is the
- 26:02Speaker 1: reason why we always have the opportunity to essentially be
- 26:05Speaker 1: a Super Bowl contender. And I just think going to
- 26:08Speaker 1: the McDermott topic of conversation, like, I don't know how
- 26:13Speaker 1: much I love it.
- 26:14Speaker 2: I don't.
- 26:14Speaker 1: I don't know if I like it at all, to
- 26:15Speaker 1: be totally honest, I think if you were the ownership
- 26:18Speaker 1: of the Bills, it's more on you from an ownership standpoint,
- 26:21Speaker 1: because who's the GM for the Eagles against Rosen, Howie Roseman.
- 26:27Speaker 1: If Howie Roseman has Josh Allen, how aggressive is he
- 26:30Speaker 1: going to be in the acquiring talent to assemble around him?
- 26:34Speaker 1: Probably more aggressive, Like you see the talent that he's
- 26:36Speaker 1: established on the Philadelphia Eagles omens. Probably not on the
- 26:39Speaker 1: SCEA right Keyon Coleman had a touchdown yesterday, but he's
- 26:42Speaker 1: been he was an active of what like five or
- 26:44Speaker 1: six games this year HS healthy scratch And that's just
- 26:49Speaker 1: to me, It's like, is Sean McDermott the issue, who's
- 26:52Speaker 1: like the CEO defensive minded guy? Because you have Joe Brady,
- 26:54Speaker 1: who's approven OC who's a head coaching candidate for a
- 26:57Speaker 1: lot of people. But like, if you look at the
- 26:59Speaker 1: raw other than the past defense, they've got a good
- 27:03Speaker 1: pass defense, They've got a great left tackle and a
- 27:06Speaker 1: fast running back. Like you don't have pieces around you
- 27:09Speaker 1: where it's like, Josh, we're giving you every opportunity to
- 27:11Speaker 1: win right now, Josh, Josh has only a finite amount
- 27:15Speaker 1: of years to go win these super bowls. You have
- 27:17Speaker 1: to be extremely aggressive, max out your cap, go get
- 27:20Speaker 1: the best players you possibly can so you can go
- 27:23Speaker 1: win a super Bowl because you're getting to the divisional
- 27:25Speaker 1: rounds and the AFC Championships with Josh Allen, imagine if
- 27:29Speaker 1: you put a few pieces around him that it's like
- 27:31Speaker 1: these guys not only help your team, but elevate your
- 27:34Speaker 1: star player as well, who's arguably the best player in
- 27:36Speaker 1: the NFL. Am I landing a plane here at all
- 27:39Speaker 1: and saying that, because when it comes to McDermott's like,
- 27:41Speaker 1: I understand, but I'm not watching the game with his management,
- 27:45Speaker 1: his clock manage or anything like that, thinking, oh, he's
- 27:47Speaker 1: not hailing the pressure of the situation of what he's
- 27:50Speaker 1: supposed to do the correct way or incorrect way. I'm
- 27:53Speaker 1: watching it, like it really seems like this is a
- 27:55Speaker 1: team that's being lifted and Josh Allen is dragging a
- 27:57Speaker 1: team along with him. And it's I sound like I'm
- 28:01Speaker 1: disrespecting the players.
- 28:02Speaker 2: I'm not.
- 28:02Speaker 1: I'm just saying that a player of that caliber, you
- 28:04Speaker 1: need players with that caliber as well, go make big
- 28:07Speaker 1: swings in the trades to go get a true wide
- 28:10Speaker 1: receiver one. Guys that might be a little upset with
- 28:13Speaker 1: the situation there. The first person thing that comes to
- 28:14Speaker 1: mind is Justin Jefferson, Like, you look at it Justin Jefferson.
- 28:17Speaker 1: The season he's had, it's like the first year, eight
- 28:19Speaker 1: and a half, one thousand yards, Jaj McCarthy, it's yet
- 28:21Speaker 1: to be seen whether he can be the guy Like,
- 28:22Speaker 1: what is your situation next year? I'm sure Justin Jefferson's
- 28:25Speaker 1: agent getting is getting a call, relaying the information to
- 28:28Speaker 1: him and being like, I would love to play with
- 28:30Speaker 1: Josh Allen. I know I'm gonna get the ball. I'm
- 28:32Speaker 1: gonna have ten targets a game. And if you get that,
- 28:35Speaker 1: now you have a wide receiver one that you have
- 28:36Speaker 1: to now defensively scheme for which is gonna allow the
- 28:39Speaker 1: Shakirs and the Coleman's to have more one on ones,
- 28:43Speaker 1: more open space, whether they're a leader or not as
- 28:45Speaker 1: irrelevant because you've leveled the playing field with just adding
- 28:48Speaker 1: one edition. Because your offensive line is good enough. Yeah,
- 28:51Speaker 1: I think I think Brown and Dawkins are great tackles.
- 28:56Speaker 1: They they're they're awesome in the middle. I'm not as
- 28:58Speaker 1: familiar with, but you have kind of everything you need.
- 29:01Speaker 1: So getting mcdermoan out there, you're just now adding a
- 29:04Speaker 1: new wrinkle to your offseason that you don't need to
- 29:06Speaker 1: add when you could go.
- 29:07Speaker 2: In and get people right right. It's just having having
- 29:10Speaker 2: other pieces because right now, when you gave him playing
- 29:12Speaker 2: against the Buffalo Bills, it's all about Josh Allen, Josh Allen.
- 29:15Speaker 2: It's not the defense, it's not the guys around him.
- 29:18Speaker 2: Like obviously there's a level of respect because James Cook
- 29:20Speaker 2: is a stud. They have those three tight ends, those
- 29:23Speaker 2: those those two and three tight end sets that they
- 29:25Speaker 2: utilize and build a good offensive game plan. We're playing around,
- 29:29Speaker 2: but the target is always Josh Allen or if you
- 29:31Speaker 2: have other guys, other guys around him to where they're
- 29:34Speaker 2: winning because of other people outside of Josh Allen. It's
- 29:39Speaker 2: like every time they win, it's because Josh Allen is
- 29:41Speaker 2: having some incredible football.
- 29:43Speaker 1: Game, right Yeah, and then you look at the broncos Man,
- 29:47Speaker 1: you're just heartbroken for them too, heartbroken for the boy
- 29:50Speaker 1: bow Knicks.
- 29:51Speaker 2: Yeah, who you thinking? What? So you bring up another
- 29:56Speaker 2: point right now that if I'm a coach who has
- 30:00Speaker 2: signed with the team, So if I'm a hardball signing
- 30:02Speaker 2: with the Giants, who's the Stefanski with the Falcons? Right now?
- 30:05Speaker 2: I'm trying to pull a college football portal move on everybody.
- 30:08Speaker 1: Yeah exactly.
- 30:09Speaker 2: You're like, hey, okay, how wet is let me get
- 30:12Speaker 2: out of here. Yeah, how wet is the because right now,
- 30:15Speaker 2: anybody who's made any progress with any team, Hey, Titans
- 30:18Speaker 2: are dialed in on these top three candidates. What is
- 30:20Speaker 2: it like Naggi who else?
- 30:22Speaker 1: Naggie DC for the Packers and uh salah.
- 30:25Speaker 2: Yeah sala I know Brian Flores is getting He's getting
- 30:28Speaker 2: a second interview with the Steelers. Every every coach on
- 30:30Speaker 2: the market right now is pushing pause and telling their agent, Hey,
- 30:34Speaker 2: until the Bills say I have zero shot, get me
- 30:38Speaker 2: try to get me in a room with the Buffalo
- 30:39Speaker 2: Bills to become their next end.
- 30:40Speaker 1: And if the Bills like, do you just elevate internally,
- 30:43Speaker 1: like Joe Brady is a massive head coaching candidate that
- 30:45Speaker 1: people wanted, Yeah, do you just say, Okay, this is
- 30:48Speaker 1: our guy now? But then to me, it turns into,
- 30:51Speaker 1: so why we get rid of McDermott because you had
- 30:53Speaker 1: the OC Like if Joe Brady is like, I'm going
- 30:55Speaker 1: to leave this year's a head coaching job. I understand
- 30:57Speaker 1: the you know, audition by subtrack action kind of method
- 31:00Speaker 1: that takes place with Joe Brady, but if if that happens,
- 31:04Speaker 1: it's like, dude, we had all the pieces.
- 31:07Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 31:07Speaker 3: As of about five minutes ago, the Bills promoted Brandon
- 31:10Speaker 3: being their GM on top of his current role to
- 31:13Speaker 3: President of Football Operation. So they're saying he's going to
- 31:15Speaker 3: lead the entire shirt search. So it's gonna go down
- 31:18Speaker 3: on him.
- 31:19Speaker 1: Friend of the show, the show, Yeah, yeah, I'll get
- 31:25Speaker 1: it done.
- 31:25Speaker 2: I wonder I like, right now my brain, I'm like
- 31:27Speaker 2: wondering who he has like relationships with in the past,
- 31:30Speaker 2: who could have this fast track to becoming the head coach.
- 31:33Speaker 1: It's I think it's worth trying to reach out one
- 31:36Speaker 1: person you reach out to immediately Mike Tomlin. No, yeah,
- 31:41Speaker 1: do you reach out to my If you're the Bills,
- 31:42Speaker 1: you got to reach out to Mike Tomlin.
- 31:44Speaker 4: I think he said that he wants to like take
- 31:45Speaker 4: a year off. He's like not expected to be coaching
- 31:48Speaker 4: next year.
- 31:48Speaker 2: Granted, everyone's got a plan, but there's a number for everybody.
- 31:52Speaker 4: So but I truly do feel like he kind of
- 31:54Speaker 4: wants to take a break after being with the Steelers
- 31:56Speaker 4: for twenty some years.
- 31:58Speaker 6: Did you see that Mike Tomlin meme from the week
- 32:00Speaker 6: he was at his daughter's gymnastics event. She I think
- 32:03Speaker 6: she is a gymnast for Georgia. And there's a picture
- 32:06Speaker 6: of him and it looks like he's not tired. It's
- 32:08Speaker 6: like Mike Tomlin finally got a full night's rest for
- 32:09Speaker 6: the first time that pie, and that feels very fulfilled.
- 32:14Speaker 6: You have to trade for Mike Tomlin, by the way, Yeah,
- 32:17Speaker 6: because technically the Steelers, that's right.
- 32:21Speaker 1: Yeah, so Buffalo would have to give up something. No,
- 32:26Speaker 1: Tom Brady is already a minority owner in the Raiders.
- 32:29Speaker 1: Is that not a massive conflict of interest?
- 32:31Speaker 2: Yeah? Yeah, he would, he would. Yeah, if anybody can
- 32:34Speaker 2: figure it out it'd be Tom. But it seems like
- 32:36Speaker 2: there's just they're focused on figuring out the Raiders, like
- 32:42Speaker 2: Bill Belichick to the to the Bills, because how many
- 32:45Speaker 2: jobs are open right now? You got the Raiders, you
- 32:46Speaker 2: get the Cardinals, you got the Titans, Steelers, Steelers, Ravens, Cleveland,
- 32:56Speaker 2: Bill's Cleveland, Miami, Yeah, Miami.
- 33:01Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 33:01Speaker 1: And that's another reason all for everything you just listed
- 33:05Speaker 1: all these head coaching Yeah, you guys, Tights are screwed.
- 33:08Speaker 1: We're screwed in a big way because now everyone's like,
- 33:10Speaker 1: now turn their attention. This is the meme with the
- 33:12Speaker 1: guy holding hands with the girl looking back at the
- 33:13Speaker 1: other girl, Like that's what's happening with the Bills. But
- 33:16Speaker 1: all the head coaching vacancies that are taking place, coupled
- 33:20Speaker 1: with there's like three or four names if you're the Bills,
- 33:23Speaker 1: like why make this move now?
- 33:26Speaker 2: Yeah? Because it does not feel like a hot coaching carousel, right.
- 33:32Speaker 1: Like Ben Johnson out there by the way.
- 33:34Speaker 2: BENJO, That's what I mean. It's like, I wonder, like
- 33:37Speaker 2: what new head coaches we're going to see because even
- 33:39Speaker 2: former ones, don't you see a day ball has he
- 33:42Speaker 2: signed yet?
- 33:44Speaker 9: He interviewed for the Chefty's tweet.
- 33:48Speaker 7: Dude, it made me so mad.
- 33:50Speaker 2: It said.
- 33:52Speaker 9: Brian day Ball has interviewed for the Eagles OC job,
- 33:55Speaker 9: also interviewed for Titan's head coaching job. I was like,
- 33:59Speaker 9: that means that Eagles OC job is more attractive than.
- 34:03Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah it might. McDaniel does he get another shot
- 34:07Speaker 2: as the head coach? Is he going to go be
- 34:09Speaker 2: a OC somewhere for a year. It's gonna be interesting
- 34:12Speaker 2: to see, like what head coaches come into this new
- 34:15Speaker 2: coming to these new jobs do what codinator?
- 34:19Speaker 1: Who's calling the plays there?
- 34:21Speaker 10: Is?
- 34:21Speaker 1: That? That's what I want to know because.
- 34:22Speaker 2: McDonald I feel like I feel like at Seattle, Yeah
- 34:26Speaker 2: it's Kubiak. Kubiak is the offensive coordinator.
- 34:29Speaker 4: Yeah, I think McDonald is.
- 34:32Speaker 1: I think McDonald's is calling the play. They live in
- 34:34Speaker 1: that world that Lafleur lives in where you kind of
- 34:36Speaker 1: check two boxes by checking one.
- 34:38Speaker 2: And McDermott was like a defensive minded guy. Because I'm
- 34:40Speaker 2: also thinking like, do you get like a defensive minded
- 34:42Speaker 2: head coach for the Buffalo Bills. I think you do.
- 34:44Speaker 2: Joe Brady is staying.
- 34:45Speaker 1: If Joe Brady stays, Yes, if Joe Brady stays you
- 34:49Speaker 1: go defense.
- 34:51Speaker 4: I think Mike. I think Mike McDaniel wouldn't be bad
- 34:53Speaker 4: here in Tennessee. I think he was handcuffed a little
- 34:57Speaker 4: bit with his talent at quarterback in Miami. And I
- 35:01Speaker 4: think cam Ward like he has shown flash.
- 35:03Speaker 2: Yeah, and that does seem like what's coming out of
- 35:06Speaker 2: Miami because I was watching. I want to say it
- 35:08Speaker 2: was Darren Waller interviewing with Manziel kind of breaking down
- 35:11Speaker 2: the brain of Mike McDaniel and how everything's gonna go,
- 35:14Speaker 2: like in game, some of the adjustments he makes in game.
- 35:17Speaker 2: And it seems like players just talk highly of coach McDaniel.
- 35:20Speaker 1: Yeah, which is very interesting because we were sitting here
- 35:23Speaker 1: or we were told a lot of ways, like he's
- 35:25Speaker 1: not an alpha in the room. People don't really like
- 35:27Speaker 1: him though. He's losing the locker room and they pop
- 35:29Speaker 1: off five of six, he's losing their job. Mike McDaniel
- 35:33Speaker 1: wouldn't be a bad pick for the Titans.
- 35:34Speaker 7: What about him as OC?
- 35:36Speaker 6: I'm Matt Malone, I'm giving him the credit for this,
- 35:38Speaker 6: But Robert sala is the head coach, Mike McDaniel's OC.
- 35:41Speaker 2: That would be Yeah.
- 35:42Speaker 1: Now you're operating a massive now you are now operating
- 35:48Speaker 1: too much sense. And I feel like, because if there's
- 35:50Speaker 1: surean just put it up. There's ten head coach of
- 35:52Speaker 1: Vacancy's essentially almost a third of the entire NFL, including
- 35:55Speaker 1: the Bills. You're not gonna be able to take two
- 35:59Speaker 1: top head coaching ken dates, make one in O C
- 36:01Speaker 1: and make one a Yeah.
- 36:03Speaker 2: We'll get to ask Jeff Simmons who who he'd like
- 36:06Speaker 2: to see.
- 36:06Speaker 1: That's true. He comes on the bus a little peak
- 36:08Speaker 1: Ski because I still think Arthur Smith for the Titans
- 36:11Speaker 1: is a is a massive dub.
- 36:15Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, he'd be. He's he's in a tough spot.
- 36:19Speaker 2: It's not like he had the most successful year with
- 36:21Speaker 2: the Steelers and then the resume he does have as
- 36:24Speaker 2: a head coach is going to be the Falcons. Because
- 36:26Speaker 2: I agree with you, it's like we've been around Art
- 36:28Speaker 2: like this friend of the show, like he Art's a beast,
- 36:31Speaker 2: very good player, friendly coach. I'm sure he's under a
- 36:33Speaker 2: lot from his first in and Atlanta as a head coach,
- 36:37Speaker 2: but had kind of a had it felt like a
- 36:40Speaker 2: tough year with the Steelers because all the injuries that
- 36:42Speaker 2: they had offensively and just not a whole lot of
- 36:44Speaker 2: weapons and a whole lot of pieces. It's just gonna
- 36:46Speaker 2: be hard for him to I feel like sell himself
- 36:49Speaker 2: over some of these head coaching candidates that are in there.
- 36:52Speaker 2: But I do feel like he's on that tier with
- 36:54Speaker 2: all the head coaches on the on the board right now.
- 36:57Speaker 4: What about the what about the d see from LA?
- 37:01Speaker 4: I think Don Shuler.
- 37:03Speaker 2: I know Shula has been in. He's been in a
- 37:05Speaker 2: few conversations.
- 37:06Speaker 4: Yeah, he's I think he's had like a couple of interviews.
- 37:08Speaker 4: I don't know where, but he seems like he would
- 37:11Speaker 4: be the real deal.
- 37:13Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 37:13Speaker 1: I got a fun stet on Arthur Smith. So these
- 37:16Speaker 1: are all the quarterbacks he's had, whether being an OC
- 37:20Speaker 1: or a head coach. They're win percentage without Arthur Smith
- 37:25Speaker 1: coaching them is thirty six point one. That's Tannehill, Matt Ryan,
- 37:30Speaker 1: Marcus Mariota, Desmond Ritter, Justin Fields, Russell Wilson, Aaron Rodgers.
- 37:35Speaker 1: With Arthur Smith, the seasons he had Arthur Smith, that
- 37:37Speaker 1: number jumps up to fifty five point two four percent,
- 37:40Speaker 1: so a twenty percent swing, almost a twenty percent swing,
- 37:44Speaker 1: and then since he's left them, they dropped down to
- 37:46Speaker 1: forty two percent. It's a good stat.
- 37:49Speaker 2: It's a good stat. All I all I heard.
- 37:53Speaker 1: Was increase because said Matt Ryan.
- 37:57Speaker 5: You Matt Ryan and Aaron Rodgers Arthur a lot of
- 38:00Speaker 5: games without him.
- 38:01Speaker 1: Arthur Smith's impact on seven quarterbacks, win loss record and
- 38:05Speaker 1: starts since Tannehill start on October twentieth, twenty nineteen. So
- 38:09Speaker 1: this is since twenty nineteen team. So when he took
- 38:11Speaker 1: over for Ryan Tannehill the game after we played the
- 38:14Speaker 1: Broncos in twenty nineteen, twenty eighteen, whatever that was. That
- 38:18Speaker 1: is the percentages that take place. Got a bunch more too, but.
- 38:21Speaker 2: You know, we gotta I like to thought Arthur Smith too,
- 38:24Speaker 2: just because of the history he has in the Titans organization.
- 38:28Speaker 2: Can cut his teeth in here, climb the ladder here.
- 38:31Speaker 1: He understands. Yeah, how the ownership typically works, how the
- 38:35Speaker 1: city works, the fan base, he understands. I got two
- 38:39Speaker 1: Titans fans in the back that have been very quiet
- 38:41Speaker 1: during it. All. Though I'd love to hear what they
- 38:42Speaker 1: have to say.
- 38:44Speaker 7: I don't want Arthur Smith.
- 38:45Speaker 3: I also think that the organization is trash.
- 38:50Speaker 7: I don't think anyone understands them.
- 38:52Speaker 3: I just don't think that there's enough credible things he's
- 38:55Speaker 3: done since he left the Falcons, since he's been with
- 38:58Speaker 3: the Steelers, that makes me want There's other people i'd
- 39:02Speaker 3: want ahead of him, but I don't personally want him.
- 39:04Speaker 3: I think he had his chance as a head coach
- 39:07Speaker 3: with the Falcons and it didn't pan out.
- 39:09Speaker 7: He's back as an OC. If you want to come
- 39:11Speaker 7: and be OROC with.
- 39:12Speaker 3: A solo Mike McDaniel, sure, I'll talk about that, But
- 39:16Speaker 3: I don't personally want him.
- 39:17Speaker 7: As our head coach.
- 39:19Speaker 3: I don't think it's it's the right time for the
- 39:20Speaker 3: Titans organization. So that's where I sit. But I know
- 39:24Speaker 3: that you know he's a friend of the show. I'm
- 39:25Speaker 3: not trying to dog him as a person, but.
- 39:27Speaker 1: Juley bigger names out there. Yeah, here's no stat. Arthur
- 39:30Speaker 1: Smith is the only offensive coordinator in modern NFL history
- 39:34Speaker 1: to elevate seven different running backs to one thousand yards
- 39:37Speaker 1: from a scrimmage and a seven year span. Derrick Henry,
- 39:40Speaker 1: He'll he went from let me look at this real quick,
- 39:43Speaker 1: fifteen hundred and forty yards Dereck Henry. In the next
- 39:46Speaker 1: year twenty one hundred yards, Cordell Patterson eleven hundred yards, Tyler, Elgler, Eljier,
- 39:54Speaker 1: thank you. He had seventy eleven hundred yards, b John
- 39:57Speaker 1: Robinson fourteen hundred, Naja Harris, Jalen Warren twelve hundred, and
- 40:03Speaker 1: Kenneth Gainwell.
- 40:05Speaker 5: Three.
- 40:05Speaker 2: He knows how to run the football.
- 40:06Speaker 1: Knows how to run the football, knows how to run
- 40:08Speaker 1: the footballer.
- 40:12Speaker 6: I'll take Arthur Smith as the OC of the Eagles
- 40:14Speaker 6: if he doesn't get a head coach. It sounds like
- 40:16Speaker 6: a great coach to me.
- 40:17Speaker 2: I would assume Art would be like a sought after
- 40:19Speaker 2: OC like in this grousel, But it seems like he
- 40:22Speaker 2: wants a second shot as a head coach. It's tough
- 40:24Speaker 2: too to hold the Falcons stint against him because of
- 40:27Speaker 2: the just the situation with Yeah, Mariota Ridder. Yeah, like
- 40:32Speaker 2: not a whole lot of pieces. Yeah, go ahead, sir,
- 40:35Speaker 2: what you.
- 40:36Speaker 1: Got we'll compton in Taylor.
- 40:37Speaker 2: Want.
- 40:37Speaker 8: I want to publicly apologize to you and our listeners.
- 40:40Speaker 8: The last non father to win a Super Bowl was
- 40:43Speaker 8: actually Aaron Rodgers, So just want to put that out there.
- 40:45Speaker 1: That was twenty ten Aaron Rodgers.
- 40:47Speaker 2: And yeah, good accountability, hand up, good jobs, Aaron Rodgers.
- 40:52Speaker 1: It's still a fun stat. Let's see what else we
- 40:56Speaker 1: got here.
- 40:57Speaker 2: We hit on a Broncos Patriots? Are we hit on
- 41:01Speaker 2: Broncos Bills? Felt like we hit on Patriots Texans?
- 41:06Speaker 1: Yeah, we can go to the NFC in a second.
- 41:07Speaker 1: Let's let's let's quickly talk about it takes the off
- 41:12Speaker 1: season real quick.
- 41:13Speaker 2: We want to taste the off season.
- 41:14Speaker 1: Yeah, for the Houston Texans, one out. We're gonna pour
- 41:17Speaker 1: one out for them. Uh, it's time to taste for
- 41:19Speaker 1: taste of the off season. Brought to you by Jim Beam,
- 41:21Speaker 1: because when your team gives you lemons, you make Jim
- 41:23Speaker 1: Beam and lemonade. Listen, if you're a Houston Texans fan
- 41:28Speaker 1: out there, and I know I'm a Titans guy speaking
- 41:29Speaker 1: to you right now, look at your defense. All your
- 41:33Speaker 1: pieces are still there for the next year. Daniel Hunter,
- 41:36Speaker 1: will Anderson Stingley in the back, all coming back allegedly.
- 41:41Speaker 1: What's just Hey, it's not what's went out for the
- 41:45Speaker 1: boys right now. It can be difficult when you look
- 41:47Speaker 1: on the offensive side of the ball. Nico Collins gets hurt.
- 41:50Speaker 5: C J.
- 41:51Speaker 1: Stroud has what six interceptions or six turnovers and six
- 41:54Speaker 1: quarters at one point in the last two games, and
- 41:58Speaker 1: your heart is probably hurting being like, is c J.
- 42:00Speaker 1: Stroud the guy right? Incredible? First year, sophomore slump, third
- 42:05Speaker 1: year they won a lot, They're undefeated when he wasn't.
- 42:08Speaker 1: Junior slump, junior slump. Here's what you have to go
- 42:11Speaker 1: is c J. Strout is a true competitor, all right.
- 42:14Speaker 1: I hate to stay. He did a great job when
- 42:15Speaker 1: he was at Ahio State. True competitor. Now you have
- 42:18Speaker 1: a guy with all the talent in the world who's
- 42:20Speaker 1: a touch passer type of guy, who could put a
- 42:21Speaker 1: nice little loft on the ball, laser in there when
- 42:24Speaker 1: he needs to. He is now going to the offseason
- 42:27Speaker 1: with the kill everybody mentality. He's gonna go into that
- 42:30Speaker 1: thing of people don't believe in me. The fans don't,
- 42:33Speaker 1: the coaching staff does, and the players don't, the ownership doesn't.
- 42:37Speaker 1: Everybody is against me. Which is the best way an
- 42:40Speaker 1: athlete gets better in the offseason is when he believes
- 42:42Speaker 1: that no one believes in him. So I think, from
- 42:44Speaker 1: a Houston Texans standpoint, you guys overachieved this year and
- 42:49Speaker 1: next year with a pissed off c J. Stroud, Sky's
- 42:52Speaker 1: the limit. Sky's a limit.
- 42:55Speaker 4: Some to think about some to think about. Texans did
- 42:58Speaker 4: not play like Yo Mixing didn't play it all this year.
- 43:02Speaker 4: He's a study.
- 43:02Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 43:03Speaker 4: They also did not play without Tank Dell. Yeah, also study.
- 43:07Speaker 1: Let's talk about the Seattle Seahawks as.
- 43:10Speaker 2: We also taste the off season. I don't want to
- 43:11Speaker 2: put I don't want to put any bad juju to
- 43:14Speaker 2: go ahead, but tasted the off season. Pour one out
- 43:17Speaker 2: for bow Nicks and the Broncos. We don't want to
- 43:20Speaker 2: touch off season and Broncos yet because they're still in
- 43:23Speaker 2: the season.
- 43:26Speaker 1: And then it's like a four and a half. I
- 43:27Speaker 1: saw a sure and pull that up like that's not
- 43:29Speaker 1: that's not a bad line, not a bad line. It's
- 43:31Speaker 1: like Rams Bears were three and a half. That's one
- 43:33Speaker 1: point more.
- 43:34Speaker 2: Pour one out for the emotion you're feeling with bow Nicks,
- 43:36Speaker 2: but the optimism. You got a shot, right, You pour
- 43:40Speaker 2: one out.
- 43:40Speaker 1: You take your gym, beam your lemonade, you mix together,
- 43:42Speaker 1: and you were pissed off about the idea of bo
- 43:44Speaker 1: Nicks not being there, But halfway through that delicious drink,
- 43:47Speaker 1: you think to yourself, we still got a shot. And
- 43:50Speaker 1: then you're you're watching Stidham highlights being like opportunity. That's
- 43:56Speaker 1: all this is that you on some Baylor film.
- 43:58Speaker 2: You just cracked the code. Yeah a nice gim beamon
- 44:01Speaker 2: Lemonade in Stidham highlights to where now you're hitting the
- 44:04Speaker 2: boys up and you're like fails. Everybody's sleeping on them.
- 44:07Speaker 1: You guys being all negative in the group chat and
- 44:08Speaker 1: you just send in the lean and be like, talk
- 44:09Speaker 1: to me after you watch this boom and nice, because
- 44:14Speaker 1: I kind of like, I have watched no film. I've
- 44:18Speaker 1: watched a zero film on him. Saw clip, saw clip,
- 44:21Speaker 1: handsome boy hands he saw a photo of him.
- 44:26Speaker 2: I mean that he's real.
- 44:27Speaker 1: I don't want to bring Nebraska into this, but I
- 44:29Speaker 1: watched the UNLV quarterback. I saw one clip of him.
- 44:31Speaker 1: I'm thinking, these guys they got the vibes back. Yeah,
- 44:34Speaker 1: they got the vibes back. Technically, they got a starting
- 44:37Speaker 1: quarterback to replace their backup quarterback. Yeah you know what
- 44:41Speaker 1: I'm saying.
- 44:42Speaker 11: Yeah right, Anthony Castellano, Castellanos, get the Calandria, get him
- 44:49Speaker 11: a Canoli, set him up there, put him next to
- 44:51Speaker 11: Anthony Soprano.
- 44:52Speaker 1: We're good. And you have dude, your quarterback last year
- 44:56Speaker 1: is a backup at Oregon. Now you got this kid
- 44:59Speaker 1: who's fucking got the juice. Yeah, he's got the juice.
- 45:02Speaker 1: You know he's got He's already got Jim Beaman lemonade.
- 45:05Speaker 1: He's not giving you a limit in a season. Yeah,
- 45:07Speaker 1: he's already got that. Seattle Seahawks and the forty nine
- 45:09Speaker 1: er has brock Perty got to give him a round
- 45:12Speaker 1: him pause, maybe a moment of silence after that. I
- 45:14Speaker 1: don't know, do or Kittle heartbreak hotel? What do you
- 45:17Speaker 1: got will What about pouring one.
- 45:18Speaker 2: Out for the Chicago Bears.
- 45:21Speaker 1: Let's pouring out for the Chicago Bears.
- 45:23Speaker 2: And a lot of optimism going in the next year.
- 45:25Speaker 1: Because you're like, hey, this this Caleb Williams kid. We
- 45:28Speaker 1: went from kind of being like, we don't we're not
- 45:30Speaker 1: We're not a fan of him. Ben Johnson and this
- 45:33Speaker 1: kid aren't getting along. There's a lot of hatred taking
- 45:35Speaker 1: place in camp. Earlier in the season wild Card game,
- 45:38Speaker 1: Caleb Williams is wearing his high school football jersey walking.
- 45:40Speaker 2: To the yeah yeah kids hitting.
- 45:42Speaker 1: The Jordan's symbol against the Packers. Yeah, fourth and eight,
- 45:45Speaker 1: running backwards, a yipping in the air, perfect throw. Yeah,
- 45:50Speaker 1: so sick.
- 45:51Speaker 2: I don't see how like if you're a fan of
- 45:53Speaker 2: football and love watching the NFL. Like if you're not,
- 45:55Speaker 2: Just like, if you're a Rams fan, you obviously want
- 45:58Speaker 2: your team to win. But everybody else, I don't know
- 45:59Speaker 2: how don't get a little giddy seeing the Chicago Bears
- 46:02Speaker 2: take the field in the fourth quarter, Like I feel
- 46:05Speaker 2: like you sit there, you see him, You're like, man,
- 46:06Speaker 2: the Bear's gonna do it again? Are they gonna do
- 46:08Speaker 2: it again?
- 46:08Speaker 1: I thought they were gonna do it again. They had
- 46:10Speaker 1: all the momentum in the world. They did, and then
- 46:12Speaker 1: DJ Moore decided, let's take this one off.
- 46:15Speaker 2: This is what pisses me off about. What pisses you
- 46:17Speaker 2: off for Greg not coming on this show today. Oh,
- 46:20Speaker 2: this is pet peeve. You're like Ben Johnson, this is
- 46:25Speaker 2: this aggressive coach, go forward on fourth down. We're gonna win. Aggressive,
- 46:29Speaker 2: we're gonna win. We're gonna play the way, the identity
- 46:32Speaker 2: that got us here at all times. And then when
- 46:34Speaker 2: you score at the end of the game, like why
- 46:36Speaker 2: not go for two? Even when they won earlier in
- 46:39Speaker 2: this like earlier in the season, like a month before that,
- 46:42Speaker 2: they got in a similar situation, they kicked the extra
- 46:44Speaker 2: point to tie it up to go into ot and
- 46:45Speaker 2: beat the team. But again it's like, why aren't they
- 46:47Speaker 2: going for two when you can go and just win
- 46:50Speaker 2: the game right there, try to win the game right
- 46:52Speaker 2: there in regulation based on this this aggressive style of coaching,
- 46:55Speaker 2: like we're gonna go for it on fourth down, We're
- 46:57Speaker 2: gonna do all these things. Because if you look at
- 46:59Speaker 2: him being conservative kicking the extra point going into overtime,
- 47:02Speaker 2: I'm also sitting back. Why not take the points throughout
- 47:05Speaker 2: the game because then you're you, You're up nineteen seventeen. Yeah,
- 47:10Speaker 2: because Santos. Santos hit a forty eight yard or easy,
- 47:14Speaker 2: and there were there were moments work where again Caleb Williams,
- 47:17Speaker 2: it was either the first drive or second drive. He
- 47:19Speaker 2: throws an interception on fourth down when they turn it over,
- 47:21Speaker 2: turn it over on downs they went fourth on fourth down,
- 47:23Speaker 2: he kind of sails it. But that interceptions Downald Caleb Williams,
- 47:26Speaker 2: he had him just dropping back normal on the pocket.
- 47:28Speaker 2: This dude's got to be again, you gotta have a
- 47:30Speaker 2: gun to his head when he's rolling out. That's when
- 47:32Speaker 2: he makes plays. You can't just have him sit in
- 47:33Speaker 2: the pocket, patt his feet and try to deliver an
- 47:35Speaker 2: accurate ball, so that one sales and then the the
- 47:39Speaker 2: other one would say they it was just turned over
- 47:42Speaker 2: on downs, right, they just failed to convert.
- 47:44Speaker 1: There were two for five.
- 47:45Speaker 2: Yeah, they failed to convert two. One happened to be
- 47:47Speaker 2: an interception. But if you kick those field goals and
- 47:50Speaker 2: in your brain they make them extra points or field goals,
- 47:54Speaker 2: that's six points right there. You're kicking a field goal
- 47:56Speaker 2: at the end of the game instead of trying to
- 47:57Speaker 2: go for it to get a touchdown.
- 48:00Speaker 1: Love the thought of it being the divisional round against
- 48:03Speaker 1: the Rams. You go down after that crazy touchdown and
- 48:07Speaker 1: there's what thirty five seconds on the clock, twenty five
- 48:09Speaker 1: seconds whatever it was, and Ben Johnson having the balls
- 48:13Speaker 1: to sit there and go, you know what, We're gonna
- 48:14Speaker 1: go for two and we're gonna finish the game right now.
- 48:16Speaker 1: We're another result of the game right after this as
- 48:18Speaker 1: opposed to going to overtime.
- 48:19Speaker 2: That seems to be his identity in every other situation.
- 48:22Speaker 1: Dan Campbell, would you have, bro playoffs are so different,
- 48:26Speaker 1: Like it feels different, right, Like I'm watching the game
- 48:28Speaker 1: last night, sitting back being like, oh my god, Like
- 48:31Speaker 1: I'm feeling the pressure of this game and I'm slaying
- 48:34Speaker 1: in bed shirtless.
- 48:36Speaker 2: Just I think Campbell, I think Campbell goes, I think.
- 48:42Speaker 1: More loose season just put on my level, like this
- 48:44Speaker 1: is crazy, huh.
- 48:45Speaker 2: I feel like feeling it.
- 48:46Speaker 4: I feel like if Caleb Williams was like actually operating,
- 48:51Speaker 4: like pinpointing the balls, not just being able to stand
- 48:54Speaker 4: in the pocket and like he'll sail one every once
- 48:55Speaker 4: in a while. I feel like Ben Johnson has more
- 48:57Speaker 4: confidence in him, but he's so He's literally fifty fifty
- 49:01Speaker 4: on his last two games.
- 49:02Speaker 1: It's like, you don't know, but okay, gone to the
- 49:05Speaker 1: head move that will just talked about two point conversion
- 49:09Speaker 1: end of the game, Like that is what are you
- 49:12Speaker 1: gonna do? This is he's gonna look around, There's no
- 49:14Speaker 1: one gonna be there. He's gonna scramble around. He's gonna
- 49:16Speaker 1: end up on the twenty five yard line, and then
- 49:19Speaker 1: the coverage is.
- 49:20Speaker 2: Gonna break down.
- 49:22Speaker 1: Because because when Caleb Williams has his feet set, ball
- 49:26Speaker 1: up high and tight steps into it clean pocket, that
- 49:29Speaker 1: ball's any completion pass, incomplete pass as an interception. When
- 49:33Speaker 1: Caleb Williams feels the pressure of two hundred and eighty
- 49:36Speaker 1: five pounds men coming down on him, that's when the
- 49:40Speaker 1: boys at his best are you.
- 49:41Speaker 2: Yeah, let me run backwards, Let me run backwards twenty
- 49:44Speaker 2: yards before I throw this one up.
- 49:45Speaker 1: And then reset up. And dude, when he's running the ball,
- 49:50Speaker 1: he didn't he didn't do any drills at the combine.
- 49:52Speaker 1: He didn't run a forty. It's kind of like when
- 49:55Speaker 1: Lamar Jackson didn't do the combine because in his brain
- 49:57Speaker 1: he was like, they're gonna try to move me to
- 49:58Speaker 1: a skill position. I kind of feel like that with
- 50:02Speaker 1: Caleb Williams bro when he is running, he's running at
- 50:04Speaker 1: a different speed in the defensive lineman as he's running
- 50:06Speaker 1: out of the pocket, and then he's like, oh, I
- 50:08Speaker 1: can't throw the ball downfield. I don't have to run
- 50:10Speaker 1: for this first down. The gear he hits is incredible.
- 50:14Speaker 4: I think he has the most amount of plays I
- 50:17Speaker 4: think over twenty miles an hour. I don't know if
- 50:20Speaker 4: that's through everybody or just from quarterbacks. You gotta be,
- 50:22Speaker 4: but even still.
- 50:23Speaker 1: It is so impressive to watch. And if he could
- 50:26Speaker 1: just figure out basic quarterback play, do you know what
- 50:31Speaker 1: I'm saying. I like all the things that the kids
- 50:33Speaker 1: are doing right now in the playgrounds where they're running
- 50:35Speaker 1: up and people are saying mahomes like ruin the game
- 50:37Speaker 1: because these kids.
- 50:38Speaker 2: Are just doing this.
- 50:39Speaker 1: He's got that down, pat, He's got all that down pat. Yeah,
- 50:42Speaker 1: if he can a step up in the pocket, hit
- 50:45Speaker 1: the hips and just throw.
- 50:46Speaker 2: It his arm is unreal.
- 50:48Speaker 1: Incredible, dude.
- 50:50Speaker 2: And the play call too for coach Johnson at the
- 50:52Speaker 2: end of the game is just you talk into Caleb
- 50:55Speaker 2: Williams head set and you just say, hey, call your
- 50:56Speaker 2: play right do whatever you want to do.
- 50:58Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm gonna call this play for you right now,
- 51:00Speaker 1: but do whatever. I'll tell you what. Here's how Ben
- 51:02Speaker 1: Johnson can learn from this season to his next season
- 51:04Speaker 1: as a head coach in the NFL. Every game going
- 51:07Speaker 1: into the season, there needs to be like an anonymous
- 51:10Speaker 1: letter at his desk, like threatening his family or there's
- 51:14Speaker 1: some sort of attack that's gonna take place if he
- 51:16Speaker 1: doesn't win the game, Like it's got to be that
- 51:18Speaker 1: drat because it seems like the more pressure you put
- 51:20Speaker 1: on Caleb Williams, the better he is.
- 51:23Speaker 2: That's how that. I mean, that's been in the spot,
- 51:25Speaker 2: the situations that they were in all year. Again, it's
- 51:28Speaker 2: still I think about I've thought about this too. Much.
- 51:31Speaker 2: I'm like, why are you not going for it on
- 51:33Speaker 2: that last on that last touchdown, like going for two?
- 51:36Speaker 1: Yeah? I thought about it then, but then even the
- 51:39Speaker 1: pressure in my brain was like, oh that's too much.
- 51:41Speaker 2: I know, but bro think about again there even if
- 51:44Speaker 2: it's like, yeah, Dan Campbell probably goes by Ben Johnson's
- 51:47Speaker 2: is OC when this stuff has happened. Obviously they're still
- 51:49Speaker 2: aggressive this year without Ben Johnson, but you get your
- 51:52Speaker 2: you play this aggressive style and then all of a sudden,
- 51:54Speaker 2: when you have a chance to just win the game,
- 51:57Speaker 2: you go out right there on your sword if you
- 51:59Speaker 2: have to. Because it's like I'm scrolling through X last
- 52:03Speaker 2: night and I see Shreger talking about it, I humbly
- 52:05Speaker 2: disagree with the sentiment from the halftime show. Ben Johnson's
- 52:08Speaker 2: been aggressive all season on fourth down part of the
- 52:10Speaker 2: Bears identity and what they are about. In this weather,
- 52:13Speaker 2: a field goal attempt is not a sure thing either,
- 52:15Speaker 2: be you be what got you here? And to me,
- 52:17Speaker 2: it's like, go for two, go for two?
- 52:21Speaker 1: Yeah, you sold me on it.
- 52:22Speaker 2: And how many times are we going to see a
- 52:24Speaker 2: message like this at the end of every in every postseason,
- 52:27Speaker 2: where somebody's just being overly aggressive, Like, when are those
- 52:29Speaker 2: teams just gonna win the Super Bowl? Yeah? Because I
- 52:32Speaker 2: feel like we get those every year and now with
- 52:34Speaker 2: the analytics and going for it and being aggressive on
- 52:36Speaker 2: fourth down, it always ends. The season always ends with
- 52:39Speaker 2: some failed attempt on fourth down not taking the points.
- 52:42Speaker 2: And it's like, hey, disagree. They need to be who
- 52:45Speaker 2: they are be what got them there all season long? Right,
- 52:47Speaker 2: when are those teams gonna start winning the Super Bowl?
- 52:49Speaker 1: Well, the most conservative team this weekend is still as
- 52:52Speaker 1: an opportunity to win the Super Bowl. That's the Rams
- 52:54Speaker 1: third and seven, right before the two minute warning, running
- 52:57Speaker 1: the ball tough. You tweeted about it, Clump this morning,
- 53:00Speaker 1: I forgot to dap him up. He gets in my
- 53:02Speaker 1: face by not dabbing up. But the second thing he
- 53:03Speaker 1: says to me is John McVay is just not gonna
- 53:06Speaker 1: do the ball right there. You got Davonte Adams, you
- 53:09Speaker 1: got Poka Nikola.
- 53:10Speaker 2: Yeah, but you you just you knew going into the
- 53:12Speaker 2: game first series when they showed mcveig on TV and
- 53:15Speaker 2: he's got those finger fingerless gloves on him, like McVeigh,
- 53:18Speaker 2: you can't be doing that, you can't be doing that. Yeah,
- 53:23Speaker 2: you got the beanie on. Look, I get it, it's cold.
- 53:25Speaker 2: But when you when you when you look across the
- 53:27Speaker 2: field and see Ben Johnson and just he's got you know,
- 53:30Speaker 2: he's got the sweatshirt on, he's got the stuff to
- 53:32Speaker 2: stay warm up top of it. When he's bare hands
- 53:34Speaker 2: and just a hat on, you're getting Alfred right there.
- 53:37Speaker 2: I knew it was gonna be a tough day for
- 53:38Speaker 2: them offensively, right when I saw McVeigh and he's holding
- 53:41Speaker 2: the play call sheet and he's got his finger sticking
- 53:42Speaker 2: out of those like those gloves seem like they could
- 53:45Speaker 2: transition to mittens but he can't.
- 53:47Speaker 1: Yeah, you kind of pop them over the top. Yeah,
- 53:49Speaker 1: I know what you're saying. Yeah, classic nineties burglar gloves.
- 53:54Speaker 2: I'll have to shoot him a message. Hey, we can't
- 53:55Speaker 2: be having this ship next week. You gotta tape you
- 53:58Speaker 2: gotta tape your fingers white. Yeah.
- 54:01Speaker 1: Nice. Yeah, that play that third and seven pissed me
- 54:04Speaker 1: off seeing that. It's like, dude, what are we what
- 54:07Speaker 1: are we doing here? The whole year you've thrown the ball.
- 54:10Speaker 1: You have the MVP of the league, you have Poka Nukua,
- 54:13Speaker 1: Who's what the best wide receiver? We can say the
- 54:15Speaker 1: best wide receiver this year. Yeah, yeah, yeah, DeVante Adams
- 54:19Speaker 1: can rout up anybody in the entire world run it.
- 54:23Speaker 2: I could believe DeVante didn't have a catch all game
- 54:25Speaker 2: until late in that fourth quarter.
- 54:27Speaker 4: Pooka only had like forty yards by fucking bet on him.
- 54:32Speaker 1: Yeah, Bears defense really showed up over time to McVeigh.
- 54:36Speaker 6: Those last two plays, second and third down, they threw
- 54:39Speaker 6: an outside deep ball to a tight end on the
- 54:41Speaker 6: right sideline and then a slot fade to the tight end,
- 54:43Speaker 6: didn't target, didn't target Pooka or DeVante Adams. And then
- 54:47Speaker 6: what pissed me off the most about McVeigh, thirteen seconds
- 54:50Speaker 6: left in regulation, two timeouts, takes a knee.
- 54:54Speaker 7: Goes into overtime.
- 54:55Speaker 6: The last time a team had thirteen seconds and two
- 54:57Speaker 6: timeouts to tie the game or take the lead was
- 55:00Speaker 6: Kansas City Chiefs against the Bills, and they tied it.
- 55:03Speaker 7: And then beat Josh Allen in overtime. Didn't even try
- 55:05Speaker 7: to win the game in regulation.
- 55:08Speaker 1: You're saying Sean mcvay's got a little soft.
- 55:10Speaker 6: I think the cold weather got to him for sure.
- 55:12Speaker 6: Those little fingerless gloves or whatever he got like, you
- 55:14Speaker 6: could tell the cold weather.
- 55:15Speaker 2: Sean, he's not.
- 55:16Speaker 7: He's a good looking dude. He ain't made for the
- 55:18Speaker 7: cold weather, so.
- 55:19Speaker 2: He is a good looking dude. The offit he had
- 55:21Speaker 2: on his one where he looks He's like, I look
- 55:22Speaker 2: cute today.
- 55:24Speaker 1: He put that on. He went up to one of
- 55:25Speaker 1: his assistant coaches and goes, what do you think?
- 55:27Speaker 2: And that's where that's the accountability that they have allowing
- 55:32Speaker 2: him to walk out there.
- 55:33Speaker 1: So what busted. What the boys are saying is Sean
- 55:35Speaker 1: mcvay's too many yes men in his building, not enough
- 55:38Speaker 1: great is what you guys are saying.
- 55:39Speaker 4: Are you saying that? Or you is clump saying that
- 55:42Speaker 4: Sean mcvay's bitch made.
- 55:44Speaker 2: No whoa, whoa, whoa. That's kind of what I just
- 55:46Speaker 2: saw a stat come out to McVeigh. He turns forty
- 55:49Speaker 2: this weekend, but he is uh, he's the only coach
- 55:52Speaker 2: was that like ten plus wins in the postseason, which
- 55:55Speaker 2: doubles anybody else before the age of forty.
- 55:58Speaker 6: McVeigh not bitch made, but cold weather got to him yesterday.
- 56:01Speaker 1: Well, me Vea's headed up to Seattle next weekend. How
- 56:04Speaker 1: do you feel about that?
- 56:07Speaker 2: Tough game? Tough? It's gonna be tough to win in Seattle,
- 56:11Speaker 2: the way that defense is playing, the way Walker's running
- 56:14Speaker 2: the football, Sam Donald's silence in the critics, Yeah, going
- 56:18Speaker 2: out there balling out.
- 56:19Speaker 1: That is the biggest storyline to come out of that game,
- 56:21Speaker 1: because the forty nine ers were dead.
- 56:23Speaker 2: Yeah, but it was Hey.
- 56:24Speaker 1: Can Sam Donald not just be a good irregular season quarterback?
- 56:29Speaker 1: Can he go in to the playoffs and get himself
- 56:30Speaker 1: a win?
- 56:30Speaker 2: Yeah. The optimism that the Niners had going into this
- 56:33Speaker 2: game is that if they score first and put that
- 56:36Speaker 2: pressure on Sam Donald, he won't be able to get
- 56:38Speaker 2: it done.
- 56:39Speaker 1: And then and then they scored seventeen points in the first.
- 56:41Speaker 2: Quarter opening kickoff for Rashichhi. He Yeah, best acquisition during
- 56:46Speaker 2: the season in the NFL.
- 56:48Speaker 4: That play, Yeah, that play was like the fifth loudest
- 56:51Speaker 4: play of all time in the NFL.
- 56:54Speaker 1: Think about the Jews taking place man in that because
- 56:57Speaker 1: that building is loud. It is so hard to play there.
- 57:00Speaker 8: It shook that apartment building that the person was filming in.
- 57:04Speaker 2: That viral clip.
- 57:06Speaker 1: Structurally, that's uh, that's terrifying.
- 57:08Speaker 2: What a great year for the NFC West. The rivalry
- 57:12Speaker 2: is going on, having another divisional game for the NFC Championship,
- 57:15Speaker 2: having that game against the Niners arrival, and.
- 57:18Speaker 1: It was in front of our faces the whole time
- 57:20Speaker 1: doing doing the future episode we did in the locker room.
- 57:24Speaker 1: We all, I don't think any of us really thought
- 57:25Speaker 1: about it until we were in there talking about the
- 57:27Speaker 1: NFC West were realized, Oh, this is the best division.
- 57:30Speaker 1: People aren't talking about this division enough.
- 57:32Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 57:34Speaker 1: So yeah, I think I think the Seattle Seahawks are
- 57:37Speaker 1: head of the Super Bowl.
- 57:38Speaker 4: Could you imagine that being your apartment view?
- 57:40Speaker 1: That'd be sick.
- 57:42Speaker 2: Yeah, that would be awesome. It would be awesome.
- 57:46Speaker 1: Seattle is a dope ast city too. It's a fun city.
- 57:50Speaker 2: The two games we've seen with Rams in Seattle, they've
- 57:53Speaker 2: both been they've both been bangers.
- 57:55Speaker 1: Last time Seattle and Rams played Clay Matthews at a
- 58:00Speaker 1: fifteen late parlay. Something to think about. So whatever Clay
- 58:05Speaker 1: comes with because his pick, I think the first game
- 58:09Speaker 1: today he bet the under on the Bills Broncos game overhit.
- 58:13Speaker 1: So that's even with the line moved what seven or
- 58:16Speaker 1: eight points, So we need him to Clay's got to
- 58:20Speaker 1: come with some heat this week on the locker room.
- 58:23Speaker 2: We need him to come with a fifteen Lake. We
- 58:24Speaker 2: need to tell him, Hey, you gotta you gotta build
- 58:26Speaker 2: a fifteen Lake Parlay.
- 58:27Speaker 1: From the locker room. Need it, gotta have it money line, Like, Clay,
- 58:32Speaker 1: are you gonna live up to the name or you
- 58:34Speaker 1: got the name nine You're just gonna live off your
- 58:35Speaker 1: past successes. Oh that's the question is washed? Is Clay washed?
- 58:46Speaker 2: I can see Clay being a fingerless glove guy La
- 58:49Speaker 2: cat Man.
- 58:55Speaker 1: That's tough for Clay Man for pouring.
- 58:57Speaker 2: Out for them as well, pouring out for the night
- 59:00Speaker 2: injured Again, I feel like they were just they were
- 59:04Speaker 2: not These guys sound like I'm sitting on them, but
- 59:06Speaker 2: they were kind of like a walking corpse the whole time,
- 59:09Speaker 2: Like you just couldn't kill them Seattle. Finally, did I
- 59:11Speaker 2: think they're just a living dead just conquering every game
- 59:15Speaker 2: they stepped into.
- 59:16Speaker 1: Yeah, it just shows how Shannon how good of a
- 59:17Speaker 1: coach he use, Buddy, it was. This was the inevitably
- 59:22Speaker 1: going to happen, but seeing them operate throughout the season
- 59:26Speaker 1: with the injuries, Mac Jones crushing it.
- 59:28Speaker 2: It is an incredible weekend. That was the only game
- 59:29Speaker 2: where I'm just like, second half, I kind of just
- 59:31Speaker 2: you know, I'm like I was moving on to do something.
- 59:33Speaker 1: Yeah, I really had a whole lot of intention in
- 59:34Speaker 1: watching that game because I just knew what was going
- 59:36Speaker 1: to happen. Still hit the first half.
- 59:38Speaker 4: I saw on Twitter that players are starting to bring
- 59:41Speaker 4: up the fact of the electrical substation.
- 59:44Speaker 2: Yeah, they're agents.
- 59:45Speaker 4: It's like hitting up the organization, gaining traction.
- 59:51Speaker 12: I meant that the doctor that came out going on,
- 59:56Speaker 12: the doctor that came out with that first like article
- 59:59Speaker 12: about it, pulled our video from the locker room of
- 1:00:01Speaker 12: Delaney talking about how it was a thing back when
- 1:00:03Speaker 12: he was there.
- 1:00:04Speaker 4: So like, shout out.
- 1:00:07Speaker 2: Us, shut out, shut up us.
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: Shout at us. Yeah, man, good weekend of football.
- 1:00:17Speaker 2: Who going around here? You guys? Who's your Super Bowl pick?
- 1:00:20Speaker 2: He thinks is gonna be in the Super Bowl?
- 1:00:22Speaker 4: Seahawks Patriots, and I think Seahawks win.
- 1:00:27Speaker 8: Oh, Rams, Patriots, Rams win.
- 1:00:34Speaker 2: I'm gonna go.
- 1:00:37Speaker 6: Broncos upset the Patriots. Nice, Rams, Rams win the Super Bowl.
- 1:00:42Speaker 6: Matt Stafford wins MVP and Super Bowls.
- 1:00:46Speaker 2: I beg that matchup. Jesse retires, everybody off Rams and Broncos.
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: People will be like, we're not watching. Numbers will be
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: lower than ever I'll.
- 1:00:53Speaker 9: Watch uh Seahawks and the Patriots, and I think the
- 1:00:57Speaker 9: Seahawks get it done.
- 1:00:58Speaker 7: And if the Seahawks do make the Super well, they
- 1:01:00Speaker 7: should wear.
- 1:01:00Speaker 9: Their throwback uniform because it's awesome Seahawks.
- 1:01:05Speaker 7: That's a take that needs to get traction. They should
- 1:01:07Speaker 7: wear those full.
- 1:01:08Speaker 2: Time clean take.
- 1:01:11Speaker 7: Arguably the best uniforms in football.
- 1:01:17Speaker 3: Seahawks Patriots got the Seahawks. Would love to see would
- 1:01:21Speaker 3: hate for my mental health to see the Patriots win,
- 1:01:23Speaker 3: but would love to see it for verbel But I
- 1:01:25Speaker 3: do think the Seahawks will will win it.

- 1:04:22Speaker 5: Seahawks Broncos, Ernest Jones, Nicky Manwari holding it down on
- 1:04:29Speaker 5: the Seattle defense. Maybe Nicki Minwari gets MVP. Maybe first
- 1:04:33Speaker 5: rookie ever. Oh yeah, I got Seahawks.
- 1:04:36Speaker 2: What if it goes Seahawks Patriots Patriots on the goal line,
- 1:04:43Speaker 2: last play, Drake May throws the ball, Seattle picks it off,
- 1:04:48Speaker 2: Minworri picks it off.
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: Just same situation, in the same SAP exact situation. You
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: who do you got? You have to Sea?
- 1:04:55Speaker 2: Yeah? I got Seattle, Seattle.
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: I'm gonna go Patriots Seattle. And I got the Patriot.
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: I like the Patriots, I like the pressure. I like Rabes,
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: Daddy Rabes getting his first Super Bowl as a head coach. Yeah,
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: and the Titans and the Titans. All right, it's not
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: good finalizing their head coaches, churches. It crazy.
- 1:05:20Speaker 2: Yeah, it brings up a good point.
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: We're looking for people for sure.
- 1:05:23Speaker 2: Does Braves have to cut off his piece if they win?
- 1:05:26Speaker 2: One hundred percent?
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: One hundred percent like that is we're calling elatrosh.
- 1:05:30Speaker 2: Does he fulfill his destiny if if when they win
- 1:05:34Speaker 2: this AFC Championship game, if they win this AFC Championship game.
- 1:05:37Speaker 2: I do think he needs to answer the question and say, yeah,
- 1:05:40Speaker 2: I'm willing to cut my peace off to win the
- 1:05:41Speaker 2: Super Bowl.
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: Do we go to Super Bowl Media days when Mike
- 1:05:45Speaker 1: Rabel takes the podium and ask him that question?
- 1:05:47Speaker 2: A billion percent.
- 1:05:50Speaker 5: Have to have to show up with some scissors.
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: Right, but little tiny scissors I've come to fulfill. What
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: we should do is if the Patriots make it, we
- 1:06:05Speaker 1: should get like a gold pair of scissors, like in
- 1:06:08Speaker 1: a stand that he can put in his office and
- 1:06:11Speaker 1: a little plaque.
- 1:06:12Speaker 4: What's the plaque say?
- 1:06:14Speaker 1: Peaceless since twenty twenty six.
- 1:06:16Speaker 2: I don't know, willing to do whatever it takes. You
- 1:06:18Speaker 2: just have it written in a plaque with that little
- 1:06:20Speaker 2: willing to.
- 1:06:21Speaker 1: Do whatever it takes. I think that would be a
- 1:06:23Speaker 1: gift that Braves would love forever.
- 1:06:24Speaker 5: Yeah, quick, random one that was that's been going around
- 1:06:29Speaker 5: on the internet. Which this is separate of the playoffs.
- 1:06:31Speaker 5: But what team does Khalil Mack belong to? Raiders, Bears,
- 1:06:36Speaker 5: are Chargers? He played four seasons with all of them.
- 1:06:39Speaker 5: He had over thirty five sacks for.
- 1:06:40Speaker 2: Each of those teams.
- 1:06:42Speaker 5: He's had a bunch of total tackles, a bunch of TFLs,
- 1:06:46Speaker 5: and a bunch of quarterback hits. But four seasons with
- 1:06:49Speaker 5: each team, every single team he produced for who gets.
- 1:06:53Speaker 4: Could be.
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: Here?
- 1:06:56Speaker 2: Drafted the Raiders all the high peak of everything. It
- 1:06:59Speaker 2: feels like Raiders.
- 1:07:01Speaker 5: Yeah, forty sacks with the Raiders, thirty six with the Bears,
- 1:07:04Speaker 5: thirty six and a half with the Chargers.
- 1:07:06Speaker 2: That is nuts, man.
- 1:07:08Speaker 1: But he has been.
- 1:07:08Speaker 7: For eight years forty sixty eight t F.
- 1:07:11Speaker 2: He was on the Raiders for eight.
- 1:07:12Speaker 5: Years, four years, four years for all those teams. No, no, no,
- 1:07:20Speaker 5: they traded Max that the Raiders fell off.
- 1:07:27Speaker 2: Well, that a clear space to bring you in.
- 1:07:29Speaker 1: Yeah, that's a great question. I don't know the answer.
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: That's a great question.
- 1:07:33Speaker 8: I did have a if we're wrapping up, I did
- 1:07:35Speaker 8: have a fun little tiar talk that gets y'all's personal
- 1:07:38Speaker 8: insight on being on the sideline all right.
- 1:07:41Speaker 2: At Hawk's Daddy hashtag tear talk. Every time every time
- 1:07:44Speaker 2: I go to an NFL game, I catch myself watching
- 1:07:46Speaker 2: the sidelines. Is it really just watching the last series
- 1:07:49Speaker 2: and making adjustment adjustments or is there more than what
- 1:07:53Speaker 2: the average fan sees? Funnier tense moments, differences of being
- 1:07:56Speaker 2: a rookie versus veteran routines, secrets, great question, big question,
- 1:08:03Speaker 2: loaded question.
- 1:08:04Speaker 1: Yeah, as far as adjustments go, I feel like you're
- 1:08:06Speaker 1: like three series in before like the offensive staff comes
- 1:08:09Speaker 1: up to you because, Okay, this is the defense. They've
- 1:08:11Speaker 1: tried it, they've done, they're trying to take this away.
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: We're gonna move to X, Y and Z in the
- 1:08:14Speaker 1: run game. Yeah, is we're gonna try in the past game.
- 1:08:16Speaker 2: Very intense making adjustments on the sideline. And then once
- 1:08:20Speaker 2: that moment's over, you get some funny moments.
- 1:08:23Speaker 1: Yeah, sitting there making fun of a guy who maybe
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: got beating to play.
- 1:08:27Speaker 2: Maybe making fun of yourself.
- 1:08:28Speaker 1: Yeah, how big this play?
- 1:08:30Speaker 2: He's gonna show up out. God, I know, I already
- 1:08:32Speaker 2: know it's films.
- 1:08:34Speaker 1: Films will be tough on Monday and we're already We're
- 1:08:37Speaker 1: only ten minutes into the first quarter.
- 1:08:38Speaker 2: Yeah, how big a lead?
- 1:08:40Speaker 8: Did do you guys need personally before you started making jokes?
- 1:08:43Speaker 8: Or were you okay making jokes down?
- 1:08:46Speaker 2: It could be a tie ball game.
- 1:08:48Speaker 1: Yeah, on the line, like the last play of the
- 1:08:51Speaker 1: game and there's a time out, somebody calls the time
- 1:08:53Speaker 1: a Kodak time out. You're joking around a little bit.
- 1:08:56Speaker 1: You gotta keep it loose. Yeah, Yeah, I don't envy
- 1:09:02Speaker 1: that situation though, big on the sideline.
- 1:09:04Speaker 2: Yeah, and rookie versus vet, like, as a rookie, like,
- 1:09:07Speaker 2: it's just quiet, keep your head down.
- 1:09:10Speaker 1: Yeah, rookie, you just like you don't even really know
- 1:09:12Speaker 1: what the game plan is. You're kind of just doing
- 1:09:13Speaker 1: what they call. As you get older, you start to
- 1:09:15Speaker 1: understand the chess moves that are kind of being put
- 1:09:18Speaker 1: in front of everybody. But as a rookie, you're just like,
- 1:09:21Speaker 1: I hope we win.
- 1:09:23Speaker 5: Emon Warry like runs his mouth so much. Right after
- 1:09:26Speaker 5: the Seahawks Nigers game, he just tweets out trash.
- 1:09:35Speaker 2: Ay, tonight's the game national Miami Indiana.
- 1:09:40Speaker 1: You who you want?
- 1:09:41Speaker 6: You?
- 1:09:42Speaker 1: You're going to Indiana to win? Miami to cover.
- 1:09:43Speaker 2: Still Yeah, my bet'll probably be Miami to cover. Where
- 1:09:47Speaker 2: is it still eight and a half?
- 1:09:50Speaker 6: Speaking of half their like adjustments on the sideline, Say
- 1:09:52Speaker 6: the other team was able to like know what your
- 1:09:55Speaker 6: adjustments were gonna be with that impact of the game,
- 1:09:57Speaker 6: you think.
- 1:10:00Speaker 2: Say that again?
- 1:10:03Speaker 6: No, I was just asking a question if the if
- 1:10:04Speaker 6: the other team was able to hack and see what
- 1:10:07Speaker 6: your adjustments were, would that impact you?
- 1:10:10Speaker 2: How would you know? A billion?
- 1:10:12Speaker 1: Yeah, and then what you're doing just.
- 1:10:15Speaker 2: Asking what's the angle of that question?
- 1:10:17Speaker 7: Indiana's probably gonna win big against Miami. That's mine.
- 1:10:20Speaker 2: That's my Listen.
- 1:10:22Speaker 1: If you want to go down the tinfoil hot game
- 1:10:25Speaker 1: like crystal Ball has gone. He's gone back to caveman
- 1:10:28Speaker 1: times of paper and pencil. That has been an email sentence.
- 1:10:31Speaker 2: We gotta think too, if that's if that's like a
- 1:10:33Speaker 2: real thing, Like christ Ball is probably doing everything he
- 1:10:35Speaker 2: can to where they're not in a situation like that.
- 1:10:38Speaker 1: And if Chris Balls the head coach rumor like yeah,
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: the boys, we're just going over this. We'll give you
- 1:10:43Speaker 1: a binder with all the plays.
- 1:10:44Speaker 6: The whiteboard would be sick on the sideline, break every iPad.
- 1:10:47Speaker 1: Yeah, see you later. Don't even bring them on.
- 1:10:50Speaker 2: Let me see here, let me let me pull a
- 1:10:52Speaker 2: fandle and see what Taylor I have because I might
- 1:10:55Speaker 2: do uh, because I know in Tennessee you can do
- 1:10:58Speaker 2: like totals of rushing yards, pass yards, total yards. Might
- 1:11:02Speaker 2: do a little parlay with the Indiana money line and
- 1:11:04Speaker 2: then put a little something together.
- 1:11:06Speaker 1: Make sure hit the group check.
- 1:11:08Speaker 2: Yeah, I got I tear.
- 1:11:10Speaker 1: This is Sergeant Scuba twenty two. So let me take
- 1:11:13Speaker 1: a wild guess at what Willie C is thinking. And
- 1:11:16Speaker 1: another day would be both of these teams.
- 1:11:20Speaker 2: Is Steven Spottle. That's for sure gonna be a tweet
- 1:11:24Speaker 2: I just throw out there later tonight.
- 1:11:31Speaker 1: Lost to one of them already exactly.
- 1:11:34Speaker 2: It would have beat him the second time.
- 1:11:36Speaker 1: I don't think so. I mean going to the playoffs.
- 1:11:38Speaker 1: We're like, is not even a better team than Miami
- 1:11:39Speaker 1: right now? Clearly no, Miami just turned on in a hurry,
- 1:11:44Speaker 1: hurry hurricane. Is a hurricane coming in Miami tonight. Let
- 1:11:50Speaker 1: us know in the comments what you think is all right, boys,
- 1:11:55Speaker 1: we feel good about it. Everyone's happy.
- 1:11:57Speaker 2: I think I'm looking. I'm sure I'm building the parlay
- 1:12:01Speaker 2: right now.
- 1:12:01Speaker 1: Will's moved on. He's over the NFL recap. We hit
- 1:12:07Speaker 1: it all.
- 1:12:07Speaker 2: Okay, okay, anything we missed you guys think trying to
- 1:12:13Speaker 2: run through every situation.
- 1:12:16Speaker 1: Miss y'all over the weekend.
- 1:12:19Speaker 2: I missed you guys over.
- 1:12:22Speaker 1: To Vegas this weekend. ZUFA boxing, Patty Pimlet.
- 1:12:27Speaker 2: I get in the new house this week.
- 1:12:29Speaker 1: Hey, it was getting the new house this week. Try
- 1:12:33Speaker 1: to ill last. Yesterday morning I texted Well, I was like,
- 1:12:37Speaker 1: what are the chances you and Charo want to come
- 1:12:38Speaker 1: over and play gaiton today? And you'd hit me with
- 1:12:40Speaker 1: the we're moving a couple stuff in the new house.
- 1:12:42Speaker 1: I knew it was over from that moment and it
- 1:12:44Speaker 1: was already an uphill battle. But we gotta get around him.
- 1:12:47Speaker 2: Oh for sure. We're both down for katan. We some
- 1:12:51Speaker 2: katan and even risk. Like if we would play risk,
- 1:12:56Speaker 2: I have Game of Thrones version of risk. Yeah.
- 1:12:58Speaker 1: When you text me that, I got a little six
- 1:12:59Speaker 1: the min Yeah, there was a little movement in the
- 1:13:01Speaker 1: pants for that. Yeah, boys, Thank you so much. Ladies,
