- 0:00Speaker 1: He's got the whole city in your radio. Mark Simo
- 0:03Speaker 1: on sevent ten, wo R Well the best economist around
- 0:09Speaker 1: Steve Moore, who, of course you see him all over television.

- 0:20Speaker 1: news analysis. It's free. It'll come write to your email.
- 0:23Speaker 1: Just go sign up for it. Go to Unleash Prosperity
- 0:25Speaker 1: dot com. Unleash Prosperity dot com. Steve Moore, how you.
- 0:29Speaker 2: Doing eron Marco? I'm doing well. I thought that Trump
- 0:34Speaker 2: was a superstar yesterday and Bos really gave a lecture
- 0:38Speaker 2: Trophians about how to get their economy going. And you know,
- 0:42Speaker 2: he basically said do what you're doing because we you know,
- 0:45Speaker 2: the latest just came out today that the latest fourth
- 0:48Speaker 2: Words for almost five and a half percent growth for
- 0:51Speaker 2: the fourth quarter in which ended you know Fanbruary first.
- 0:55Speaker 2: That's a blockbuster number. It's the highest growth rate we've
- 0:58Speaker 2: had on Jason Memory. And so whatever Trump is doing,
- 1:02Speaker 2: it is certainly working. I mean reading run rising incomes,
- 1:05Speaker 2: we're seeing record high stock market, we're seeing was a
- 1:10Speaker 2: big you know, I paid two seventy nine gallon for gas. Yes,
- 1:14Speaker 2: this time last year I was paying three seventy nine
- 1:16Speaker 2: a gallon. So I could go on and on. But
- 1:19Speaker 2: today it is a rocket ship economy right now, and
- 1:23Speaker 2: the Europeans just a lead. And that's what Trump said.
- 1:26Speaker 1: Yeah, no, I don't know. I watched CNN. Apparently it's
- 1:29Speaker 1: a disaster. Nobody can afford anything.
- 1:31Speaker 2: We're all going, well, look, I mean I know people
- 1:34Speaker 2: you know, say that economy's doing, Oh well, what about
- 1:36Speaker 2: housing prices? What about healthcare prices? What about state prices? Yeah,
- 1:39Speaker 2: I looked and I some have gone up, and as
- 1:42Speaker 2: I spent many times in your show, you should be
- 1:44Speaker 2: angry about pricing At seven percent of those costs increases
- 1:48Speaker 2: what happened under Biden, that's eight bump. And so the
- 1:52Speaker 2: good news is inflation is coming down and we all
- 1:55Speaker 2: got Trump see the inflation uh you know, back to
- 1:58Speaker 2: the very near the two percent wing to target, which
- 2:01Speaker 2: is huge. I mean, look, the average inflation rate was
- 2:04Speaker 2: five and a half percent that died in per year,
- 2:07Speaker 2: and now we're at you know, two point six percent,
- 2:10Speaker 2: So that's an under improvement.
- 2:11Speaker 1: Yeah, you mentioned we're going to hit five percent growth
- 2:14Speaker 1: this is a huge number. It's getting no coverage. When
- 2:17Speaker 1: was the last time we did five percent growth?
- 2:21Speaker 2: You know, I'd have to check. I know, we might
- 2:24Speaker 2: watch it. One Clinton maybe, and you know, a couple
- 2:29Speaker 2: of years under Reagan. And by the way, you're on two.
- 2:31Speaker 2: Reminds me. I mean you and I are old enough
- 2:33Speaker 2: to I may be a little older than you, but
- 2:35Speaker 2: we we But basically remember the Reagan boom in the
- 2:38Speaker 2: mid eighties, when you know, we came out of the
- 2:40Speaker 2: disaster of Jimmy Cook Copper and we had one eighteen
- 2:43Speaker 2: month period where the economy group you know, by a
- 2:46Speaker 2: further thirteen percent over that period. So we can do it.
- 2:51Speaker 1: It is.
- 2:51Speaker 2: It's something well, they're not limits to growth. You just
- 2:53Speaker 2: get rid of regulation. By the way, how about this
- 2:55Speaker 2: one one hundred devil regulations for every new regulation. Remember
- 2:59Speaker 2: I said he was going to he was going to
- 3:01Speaker 2: eliminate three you one. No, he's eliminated one hundred for everyone.
- 3:04Speaker 1: Wow. Hey, uh, I'm watching all these new leaders, the
- 3:08Speaker 1: Mondanie in New York, the new New Jersey governor, Mikey Cheryl,
- 3:11Speaker 1: and they keep talking about putting more taxes on business.
- 3:14Speaker 1: We're going to increase corporate text, we're increasing business. Isn't
- 3:16Speaker 1: this exactly the same thing as a tariff? I thought
- 3:19Speaker 1: they hate tariffs.
- 3:21Speaker 2: Good point. You know you mentioned New York and New Jersey,
- 3:25Speaker 2: as you know, I live in Washington and area in Virginia.
- 3:29Speaker 2: And uh, you know, the new the Spanburger, who's the
- 3:32Speaker 2: new yearly elected governor of Virginia's chief took over for
- 3:36Speaker 2: Glenn young Kin, who was a great governor. He cut taxes. Well,
- 3:39Speaker 2: Stamberger has only been an office for about seventy two hours,
- 3:42Speaker 2: and all of oh, we're gonna raise this tax mat that,
- 3:45Speaker 2: the sales tax, the income taxes, well, tax tax tax,
- 3:48Speaker 2: the tax on using Uber and you know all of
- 3:52Speaker 2: the uh you know the internet stuff that she used.
- 3:56Speaker 2: You know, if you do what what do you call it?
- 3:58Speaker 1: Uber?
- 3:58Speaker 2: And all this stuff. They're going to tax on this
- 4:00Speaker 2: and that and the other thing. And like she didn't
- 4:02Speaker 2: she run as a moderate breeds And all of a sudden,
- 4:05Speaker 2: out of the gate, every tax you can imagine is
- 4:07Speaker 2: going up.
- 4:08Speaker 1: And then again, yeah, you know, the new mayor here
- 4:11Speaker 1: in New York says is going after hotels because they
- 4:13Speaker 1: put all these fees on. There's a fee for this,
- 4:15Speaker 1: a fee for that and drives up.
- 4:17Speaker 2: To the face they do.
- 4:18Speaker 1: Isn't that what government? And that's what they do to gasoline.
- 4:21Speaker 1: It's all fees and taxes on gasoline. Why don't they
- 4:24Speaker 1: get rid of those?
- 4:26Speaker 2: Exactly? Look, when you pay all these fees at the
- 4:28Speaker 2: you know, you know, as you know, I go up
- 4:30Speaker 2: to New York every week or two and oftentimes they
- 4:33Speaker 2: stay over night, and I have two nights and I
- 4:35Speaker 2: can't believe, you know, it'll say two forty nine, and
- 4:38Speaker 2: then you get the billboard, it's like one fifty nine.
- 4:40Speaker 2: Because all these taxes that they impose on and I'm like,
- 4:43Speaker 2: wait them in a three dollars in taxes and fees.
- 4:46Speaker 2: Almost all of those are imposed by the city, hundred state,
- 4:50Speaker 2: and gosh, I'm gonna and the next time I'm gonna
- 4:52Speaker 2: have to sleep in a hear list or something like
- 4:55Speaker 2: that because it's so expensive. But the point is this
- 4:58Speaker 2: is government. This is the the hotels change that are
- 5:02Speaker 2: doing this. It's it's the government fees that that are
- 5:05Speaker 2: making it so expensive. And you know, you look at
- 5:08Speaker 2: the four or five state at mark that have the
- 5:11Speaker 2: highest cost of living, and you know what they are,
- 5:14Speaker 2: They're New York, Jersey, California, Illinois, and Massachusetts. Gosh, what
- 5:18Speaker 2: the Oh yeah, they're the Democratic states, and then you
- 5:22Speaker 2: know what, We're gonna lect more Democrats to make America more.
- 5:26Speaker 2: That doesn't make so much sense.
- 5:28Speaker 1: Hey, I saw al Gore was at the Davos. So
- 5:31Speaker 1: if you go back and watch the al Gore movie
- 5:32Speaker 1: An Inconvenient Truth twenty five years ago. Now one thing
- 5:36Speaker 1: came true that he predicted. In fact, most cases the
- 5:38Speaker 1: opposite happened. Shouldn't he apologized? Everybody?
- 5:42Speaker 2: You know he should? I mean, what the whole climate,
- 5:44Speaker 2: by the way, climate change is yesterday. I mean, I'm
- 5:47Speaker 2: not I've been to Dublos. I didn't go this year,
- 5:49Speaker 2: but I've been es borders over there who have been
- 5:52Speaker 2: talked to, and they said, the one remarkable thing is
- 5:54Speaker 2: nobody's talking about climate change, and say it's yesterday's story.
- 5:59Speaker 2: It was all a bunch of scarce tactics by the left.
- 6:02Speaker 2: We have something in our hotline this morning. You haven't
- 6:04Speaker 2: probably read it yet because we just sent it out.
- 6:06Speaker 2: Remember this idea, all all these Pacific islands we're going
- 6:09Speaker 2: to be underwater, and you know they just guess what,
- 6:13Speaker 2: you know, they there's no rise in the in the
- 6:17Speaker 2: sea levels in the specific islands. But but everything that
- 6:23Speaker 2: the climate change uh you know, almost apocalyptics predicted, has
- 6:29Speaker 2: not come true. And so by the way, we get
- 6:32Speaker 2: I'm in Washington, d C. You know, which is a
- 6:34Speaker 2: southern city. As you know, we're going we are going
- 6:37Speaker 2: to have temperatures in the teens and we're going to
- 6:40Speaker 2: get fourteen inches of stuff.
- 6:41Speaker 1: I guess they're going to people deserve it. Yeah, well,
