- 0:01Why not holding in one of the top three offensive players in
- 0:05the league? We're going to be looking at
- 0:14Aaron Judge and saying that you can't win the big game, Michael
- 0:17Jordan said. I played 82 games.
- 0:20You don't see the fun doing that.
- 0:21A game where you got to go before I told you giant things.

- 2:36www.worldwidesportsradio.com. Saturday was a big day in
- 2:42college basketball as the top 4 ranked teams squared off AT and
- 2:48it started with the number 4 Arizona beating the number 2
- 2:52Houston in Houston 7366, the first time Houston has lost at
- 2:58home this season and the first time Houston has lost
- 3:02back-to-back games since January 2024.
- 3:05Arizona was missing second leading scorer.
- 3:09How do you pronounce? This coopete.
- 3:10Coopete and had many other starters in foul trouble, yet
- 3:16was still able to beat another top five team, their fourth win
- 3:21this season after beating Florida, Alabama and UConn when
- 3:26they were ranked in the top five.
- 3:28Houston's offense continues to be question a question mark
- 3:33despite having projected top ten pick Kingston Flemings and
- 3:39veteran guard Emmanuel Sharp scoring 16 points per game.
- 3:43No other player averages more than 11 a game.
- 3:48Coverage then went to the other marquee match up of the day at
- 3:55then I'm sorry as then #3 Duke beat #1 Michigan at home 6863,
- 4:02giving Michigan only their second loss of the season.
- 4:06Duke gets their ninth win against a top 25 team and in the
- 4:11today's Poles with Houston also losing.
- 4:15The Blue Devils are back at #1 this week after Michigan cut the
- 4:21deficit to three points with just under 2 minutes to go.
- 4:26The National Player of the year favorite Cameron Boozer was a
- 4:30clutch hitting a clutch, hitting a mid range jumper and a two and
- 4:36hitting two free throws down the stretch and finishing with a
- 4:41double double. With 18 points, 10 rebounds and
- 4:44seven assists, Michigan has the third tallest starting lineup as
- 4:48far as average size, but their starting lineup combined to only
- 4:53hit 2-3 point. I'm sorry, 23 pointers and were
- 4:57outscored by Duke in the paint 3424.
- 5:04All right, Arizona to me is one of the best offensive teams in
- 5:08the nation. They always are, they always
- 5:10are, but they to me, what makes Arizona so good and so dangerous
- 5:14is the way they can shoot the three and the way they can
- 5:17rebound with the size that they have.
- 5:19Yes, when you look at Michigan and how big they are, they're
- 5:22going to be a problem in this tournament, especially if they
- 5:25go to the Final four of the Elite. 8I expect Michigan to be
- 5:28a real solid team throughout this tournament.
- 5:31But solid doesn't win your championships.
- 5:34But Houston, to me, their big problem going into the
- 5:38tournament, we all know they're going to be either be a number
- 5:40one or #2 seed, probably now possibly a number two seed.
- 5:43We'll see how how it falls in in their favor as a one or two
- 5:48seed. Houston's problem is scoring.
- 5:51They've had a problem last year. Maybe that's why they didn't win
- 5:54the national championship. I think that, but Houston didn't
- 6:00win the National. Champion.
- 6:00No. Yeah, they lost to Florida.
- 6:02That's what I'm saying. I'm trying to remember
- 6:04everything that happened last year because I remember Auburn
- 6:07and I just, I, I think, I think honestly when you look at
- 6:11Houston and, and, and the ability that they have, they
- 6:14have one of the best coaches in the nation.
- 6:16Yes, he's very good, very good defensive minded coach.
- 6:20You saw what they did throughout the tournament.
- 6:22They shut down Duke, especially the final 2 1/2 minutes of the
- 6:24game. And I think Shire has no answer
- 6:28and has had no answer for what happened in that game and still
- 6:32to this day have no answer to that game.
- 6:34How about North Carolina? Surprising Duke that a couple of
- 6:36weeks ago and Shire still has no answers of falling short after
- 6:41having such a big lead against North Carolina.
- 6:46Houston is still a dangerous team because of their defensive
- 6:48prowess, but if they can't score more than 7580 points in a game
- 6:54in this tournament against some of the elite teams, they're not
- 6:57beating the Blue, the Blue Devils, they're not beating
- 7:01North Carolina. If they're going to go into
- 7:04these games and not be able to put a 78 or 80 points on the
- 7:08board, they're defensively, defensively sound.
- 7:10We've seen them last year they shut down teams.
- 7:13They kept teams to under 70 points in some of the games.
- 7:16They can do that. Houston's that good of a
- 7:18defensive team that they can shut you down.
- 7:21Arizona. Arizona is good all around, but
- 7:25Arizona has shown me in the tournament that they don't know
- 7:28how to show up in those big games.
- 7:30They don't. And until Arizona proves to me
- 7:33that they can show up in the big game, I don't care where they're
- 7:35ranked. They could be a number one seed,
- 7:37they could be a number two seed, they could be a number three
- 7:39seed. It doesn't matter.
- 7:41They got to show up in those big games and make their shots year
- 7:44in and year out with the talent that they've had and NBA
- 7:48talented players that they've had, they've fallen short.
- 7:52And that that to me says a lot about the program and what the
- 7:55program is. Michigan and and the Blue
- 8:00Devils, that was the game everybody couldn't wait for
- 8:02because you got a chance to see Kambuser.
- 8:06I believe Kambuser is as good as anybody going into this year's
- 8:10draft. Everybody looks at, you know,
- 8:14obviously Peterson and and and the talented players that they
- 8:19are coming out to Benza from BYU and we're going to get into that
- 8:25in just a few moments. We all know who the three best
- 8:30guys coming out of this year's draft class and there's a lot of
- 8:34good. Flemings is going to be a good
- 8:35player too in the NBA. Wilson's going to be a good
- 8:38player from North Carolina. There's a lot of good players in
- 8:41this year's class. How many times have we had
- 8:44specialist draft, you know, draft guys, NBA draft guys on
- 8:48the show and telling us this is the draft class you want to be
- 8:51in because you could find somebody in the second round.
- 8:54You could find somebody in the late first round and land
- 8:56yourself a nice player. Now obviously these three guys
- 9:01are game changing players, but what we saw, what Cam Boozer did
- 9:06at the tail end of the game to seal the deal for the Blue
- 9:09Devils is he took over as the star of this team.
- 9:14Everybody knows who his father is.
- 9:18We all know the Boozer brothers. We all know the back story
- 9:21behind who they are and what they could be.
- 9:27I don't know what the, you know, the young point guards going to
- 9:29be and we'll see how how everything works out for him.
- 9:32Does he go back to college and play one more year with Duke or
- 9:36does he go into the NBA draft and see where everything falls?
- 9:39Whether it's his cards full, I don't know.
- 9:41But we know that Cam is going into this year's draft class and
- 9:47Cam is proving time and time again that he is absolutely
- 9:51worth that number one pick. His ability to put the ball in
- 9:56the net, his ability to score on the perimeter.
- 10:00He's better than any one of these two guys in front of him
- 10:03that a lot of people put him. Now we're going to go into that
- 10:06and we're going to look at that and we can argue that.
- 10:10But this game tells me one thing about Cam Boozer.
- 10:14He's ready for the big day. He's ready for that big game.
- 10:16He's ready to take this team to a championship, something that,
- 10:20let's be honest, Cooper Flagg couldn't do, and I love Cooper.
- 10:27Cooper Flagg's a star in this league, Might be the face of
- 10:30United States basketball. Or is he?
- 10:34This class could be the future of United States basketball.
- 10:39Think about it. Flemings, Wilson, the Banza,
- 10:46Peterson, Boozer. This could be the starting 5 for
- 10:52Team US, Team USA basketball in about five to seven years.
- 10:59And when we watch Michigan, Michigan's got some NBA players
- 11:02on this roster. They do.
- 11:04I don't know if they're top ten players, but they're players.
- 11:09And Michigan's dangerous because of their size.
- 11:12But we've seen big teams, Perdue for years have some of the
- 11:16biggest teams in the nation and fall short.
- 11:21Doesn't matter how big your team is.
- 11:23It matters if you can score in the big parts of those games, in
- 11:28the big, you know, final 5 minutes of those games.
- 11:32That was the problem with Duke with two minutes left.
- 11:35That gets used in in the tournament.
- 11:37And they couldn't inbound to save their.
- 11:39Life. They couldn't inbound and the
- 11:40last five minutes they couldn't score.
- 11:42I don't think they scored a field goal in 6 minutes, 7
- 11:46minutes of that game. And that's what cost them
- 11:51possibly playing in the championship game and maybe
- 11:55winning a national championship because we see they're two young
- 11:58studs are in the NBA right now up for rookie of the year.
- 12:02So we know how talented that Duke Blue Devil team was.
- 12:06And you can see Shire, his face turned red.
- 12:09He has no answers, especially speaking to the media.
- 12:11The man doesn't know what the hell he's talking about.
- 12:15But Duke gave him an extension, A5 year extension after the
- 12:19fact. The fact here is Duke is going
- 12:25to be the team to beat in this tournament.
- 12:27They are. They're built to win a
- 12:30championship. They're they're really good off
- 12:34the bench. As good as they are with their
- 12:36starting five, they've got size. They got offense coming off the
- 12:41bench. They're two guys coming off the
- 12:42bench, could put the ball in the net.
- 12:44They got two really good defenders off the.
- 12:46Bench, they have great defenders off the bench and that's and I
- 12:49that's why I think Coach K's behind obviously recruiting
- 12:52these players. It's not Shire, he's behind this
- 12:56because if you know anything about Coach K's teams, they're
- 12:59all good defensive teams. Always.
- 13:01Coach K is a defensive minded coach, but watching these two
- 13:06games, it only tells me one thing.
- 13:08But all four of these teams are going to be in the Elite 8
- 13:11unless one of these teams choke. They're that good.
- 13:15All four of these teams, I don't care where Houston lands as a
- 13:18number two seed or a number one seed, they're going to make the
- 13:21Elite 8 unless they match up against any of these teams.
- 13:25I know a lot of people like the Bands and BYUBYU will make the
- 13:28tournament just because of who he is.
- 13:30I don't think they're any good. I like the team that they just
- 13:32beat and actually a lot more. And Kansas?
- 13:37They're up and down. They got a great coach and they
- 13:42got some great players and and obviously one of the best
- 13:45players in the nation right now at Peterson.
- 13:48We know where the elite team's coming.
- 13:51If you're watching March Madness, you're not betting for
- 13:53the elite guys. If you're a betting man, you're
- 13:55betting for the guy that is an 8 seed or a ten seed because those
- 13:59are the guys. Those are the teams going into
- 14:01those games not expected to win and they're going to play harder
- 14:04defensively and they're going to try to win off the boards.
- 14:06Especially this was last year. Usually when you have a year
- 14:08with all #1 seeds, it's going to be something weirder this year.
- 14:12I think it's wide open, wide open and, and watching these two
- 14:16games and this is great for the NCAA because there's nothing to
- 14:18watch on television, nothing. So watching it after the fact
- 14:23and let's be honest, after the fact of Team USA winning a
- 14:26champion, winning the gold medal, there was nothing but
- 14:29this watching and, and what you're going to watch on
- 14:32national television. Seriously, there's no NBA.
- 14:37There's nothing good right now in the NBA.
- 14:40There's nothing with the NHL now.
- 14:42We're obviously with the East Coast being like flooded with
- 14:45snow. The NHL starts in probably a
- 14:48couple of a couple of days or something of that magnitude, I
- 14:51think at the end of the week, Thursday or Friday.
- 14:53Yeah, I think Thursday. And baseball?
- 14:55We don't. Pitchers and catches don't start
- 14:57for another week, and nobody's going to care until spring
- 15:00training starts. So as much as you can't wait as
- 15:04a Yankee fan or a Mets fan or anywhere in the country, nobody
- 15:07gives a crap until the season starts.
- 15:10And even then, the baseball season doesn't really begin
- 15:13until after the All Star. Break The baseball season
- 15:14doesn't really begin until we could trust the Mets to hold the
- 15:17lead over 20 games over 500. So this is a boring time for
- 15:21sports, So what are you going to be speaking about now?
- 15:24That's why Fish says it's very light when it comes to sports.
- 15:26And we find the biggest stories. You're going to talk about the
- 15:29gold medal championship game, when you got a chance to watch
- 15:33United, the USA win their first gold medal in 46 years.
- 15:37And you're going to talk about this story because these are the
- 15:39four best teams, teams right now in the country.
- 15:41And they played off, they matched up against one another
- 15:45in a time where there's nothing to talk about with sports.
- 15:47So obviously, Cam Boozer is the big name out of all these four
- 15:51teams. And that is why we're going to
- 15:53get into the next subject in just a few moments.
- 15:56Yeah, I was going to mention because Duke is definitely the
- 15:58best team when it comes to talent.
- 16:00They're actually in defensive and offensive efficiency.
- 16:02They're #2 defense, number one off or number one offense #2
- 16:05defense. And they have on paper 6, I
- 16:09think 4 defenders in the top 15 that are the most 6 for the most
- 16:13defensive players in the country.
- 16:14And that should be a championship Calor team
- 16:17automatically. Now you question the experience.
- 16:19That's one thing that's not winning as much in college
- 16:21basketball nowadays. I think after their Dukes win in
- 16:242015, it's kind of shifted to a lot of veteran teams.
- 16:27Like you're more seeing more of those types of transfer type
- 16:29teams now. Obviously Florida winning it
- 16:31last year, which I was still surprised that I'll admit I was
- 16:33wrong on them. I picked them out on the Sweet
- 16:3416. But a lot of the teams,
- 16:36Villanova, veteran team that won, Baylor was a veteran team
- 16:39that they won. So like, that's the only thing
- 16:41that worries me with Duke. And obviously, like you said,
- 16:43Shire, like could he actually coach competently and not have
- 16:47droughts and not know when to call timeouts like he did
- 16:49against Houston, too? Michigan, it'll depend on if
- 16:52they can get enough scoring from their perimeter, if they can get
- 16:54enough scoring early in games. Now they've played a tough
- 16:57schedule. The Big 10 up the top is very
- 16:59tough with Purdue, A-Team, you mentioned they're very good.
- 17:02Michigan State's good. Illinois is good.
- 17:04They have a tough gauntlet and they play a really tough out of
- 17:06conference. Michigan, Michigan doesn't have
- 17:08a big bench. I mean, they have a big bench
- 17:10when it comes to size, but they don't have a bench that's going
- 17:12to give you a lot of offense. They need that offense from
- 17:15Johnson and Mara and Burnett. They they need these guys and
- 17:18Burnett did not have a good game in this particular game, but
- 17:22Leonidborg, he actually played as good as anybody.
- 17:25Yeah, he's the best player, I think.
- 17:27That's where is he a is he a first round talent?
- 17:29He might be I again, tough to tell if he'll he'll declare.
- 17:32It's one of those things where because he wasn't like a higher
- 17:35end prospect, I think he was another one that was a transfer
- 17:38or a red shirt freshman. I forget offhand.
- 17:40He might still have a little more raw traits to go on, but he
- 17:43definitely is a prolific scorer that if Michigan can get that
- 17:46level of like shooting prowess like you saw with Florida, with
- 17:49having a couple players like that last year, they can
- 17:52definitely still win it because of their size and their defense.
- 17:54And they have a coach in Dusty May that went to a final.
- 17:56Forward Duke. The thing about Duke, what makes
- 17:59Duke so dangerous, is they spread out their offense.
- 18:01Foster gave you 12. Boozer gave you 18.
- 18:04Evans gave you 14, Sarah, Sarah gave you 5 points.
- 18:08So they spread out their offense so very well.
- 18:11Duke and I don't know if they're very well coached because it's
- 18:14just they're very well boiled together.
- 18:16Their their defensive prowess is as good as anybody right now in
- 18:19the nation. And they they can score in many
- 18:22different ways. And like I said, Boozer is
- 18:25probably one of the best perimeter players, if not the
- 18:27best perimeter player in college basketball.
- 18:30And that's why, ladies and gentlemen, my argument will
- 18:33stand in the next subject, I told me to say.
- 18:36I wanted to get to the other side first before you go fish.
- 18:38I wanted to mention the Arizona and Houston side and what you
- 18:41brought up. Being skeptical with Arizona.
- 18:42I've been skeptical of them all the last three tournaments.
- 18:45Believe me. They have one of these flashy
- 18:46teams on paper that always play the same way and it doesn't
- 18:49work. And they've played down to teams
- 18:51a lot of times, even when they've won and Houston do.
- 18:53They got a good bench. They they have a good bench and
- 18:55I think now you're seeing in games this year where there's a
- 18:57lot of injuries that they've had.
- 18:58They've had a little more of a sense of adversity.
- 19:00Will it continue? I don't know.
- 19:01Again, the top of the Big 12 is tough, like the top of the Big
- 19:0410 is very tough. Will it be able to work going
- 19:06forward? I I still don't know if I trust
- 19:08Arizona at the same level. The team I like the most with
- 19:10the Big 12, oddly enough, is Iowa State, who we'll talk about
- 19:12later. They lost to BYU recently and
- 19:14then Houston, like you said, I think last year was their best
- 19:16chance and they blew it. I don't know if they have enough
- 19:18offense this year to do it and they.
- 19:20Didn't have enough offense last year to do it, yeah.
- 19:22But see, last year was like, at least they had a hyper efficient
- 19:25offense. They didn't turn the ball over a
- 19:26lot and they still could score with the threes, which if they
- 19:29play good enough defense and just didn't have those super
- 19:31cold spells like you saw when Duke beat Houston the year
- 19:34before when Houston scored 49 points or something.
- 19:36Like they don't do that like they should win last year, but
- 19:39they didn't, obviously. And then the problem I have with
- 19:42Arizona and Houston is they're out of conference schedule.
- 19:44They're not playing a lot of tough games compared to Michigan
- 19:46and Duke and even some of the SEC teams like that.
- 19:49That's the only thing that scares me about those two.
- 19:50That's a Big 12 thing, Speedy. They don't.
- 19:52They don't go as competitive outside because they have enough
- 19:56to deal with here. Look Arizona, Houston at the top
- 19:58of the Big 12. Just want to show you guys some
- 20:00of the standings. Behind them it's Iowa State and
- 20:03then Kansas. We'll talk about Kansas in a
- 20:05minute, Texas Tech and then BYU kind of distant after that with
- 20:09an 8 in six Big 12 record. But as far as I'm concerned,
- 20:12that Big 12 tournament is the tournament to watch in the
- 20:16conference tournament season, which starts in just nine days.
- 20:19Guys, it's going to be it's next week and then a couple of days
- 20:21into next week we get to those conference tournaments.
- 20:23Obviously the small schools will start speedy probably this
- 20:26weekend. Oh yeah.
- 20:27I'm sure, I'm sure we'll be getting some great bets from
- 20:29Reno Johnny, he loves those small conference.
- 20:32Yeah, on our Let's Parlay segment on Thursday.
- 20:34Let's definitely see if we get Johnny on for that.
- 20:36I'm sure he'd love to cut the bet on some of those.
- 20:38But that's that's what I'm seeing in Arizona.
- 20:40They got like 6 guys that can put up 20 on you if they if they
- 20:44really wanted. Bury's is, I mean, I don't know
- 20:46where they're putting him as far as draft stock Speedy, but he's
- 20:50got to be a lottery pick the way he's played this year.
- 20:54And and then they have the veteran, the senior point guard.
- 20:57I was talking to you about it earlier.
- 20:58I love that formula for March Madness when you have the senior
- 21:01point guard and you have the athletic freshman wings and the
- 21:04point guard can put them in a good spot offensively and then
- 21:07you have enough. And because of that, they have
- 21:09this great defense because they're so athletic and I I
- 21:12really think there's a lot to that.
- 21:14But that Big 12 tournament, you got the bands, you got berries
- 21:17in Arizona with all their depth. Coopete, another really good
- 21:20player, just they're really good and Houston's all about defense.
- 21:24If they can figure out the offense.
- 21:26We all, we know who Houston is. We saw them last year go almost
- 21:28all the way. They don't have as much offense
- 21:30as they had last year. They still haven't really
- 21:32figured out where they're going to get it in some of these games
- 21:34against the lead competition. That's Houston.
- 21:37I think it's I think it's going to be real great going to the
- 21:40ACC Duke is the king of the ACC. Virginia, really good squad this
- 21:44year, 12:00 and 2:00 in the ACC, they're in second.
- 21:47And then you have two teams tied at 10 and four, Miami in the NC
- 21:51State, Clemson, North Carolina and Louisville.
- 21:55Louisville is probably. Overall, the third team after
- 21:57Duke in Virginia. Though, and be careful because
- 21:59North Carolina has surprised a lot of people in some of their
- 22:02wins this year. They knocked off Duke coming
- 22:05back the way they did. So I there's no sure thing when
- 22:08you're playing. If North Carolina makes this
- 22:09tournament, which they probably will because of who they are,
- 22:13don't. I mean, I'm not a Herb Davis fan
- 22:15as far as what he's done as far as as I mean, I remember him as
- 22:22a nick. He was a great number.
- 22:24He was a 6th or 7th man off the bench for four years for the New
- 22:27York Knicks and he was a three-point quote on quote
- 22:30specialist if he was that. But as far as as a coach, I
- 22:34don't know if I would bet on him as the as a coach that's going
- 22:37to take this team all the way to a national championship.
- 22:39But he did take him to a final four.
- 22:41So it's not like he can't find a way to get this team to play
- 22:45well. He's got a great, great player
- 22:46on Wilson who's going to be a lottery pick, there's no
- 22:48question a top five pick. So he's got a superstar, he's
- 22:51got a stud that he can really put all, you know, put all the
- 22:55pressure on to to try to take over games.
- 22:57Yeah, he that's one of those teams too.
- 22:59I think you look at the depth of the ACC as well.
- 23:02North Carolina gives the Duke the other level of battle test.
- 23:05I was worried about that last year with Duke, like they
- 23:07weren't battle tested enough and now you're seeing them schedule
- 23:10these tougher out of conference schedule.
- 23:11I think the the advanced metrics were saying they were top 17th
- 23:15in out of conference schedule. Duke which they've done more in
- 23:19the beginning of the season as well in the past but never to
- 23:21this level. Overall And finally, the Big 10.
- 23:24Michigan, despite the law, still 3 game lead for first place in
- 23:29the Big 10. They're going to be the Big 10
- 23:30regular Caesar champions and then favorites in the Big 10
- 23:34tournament. Yet Illinois, who just lost, is
- 23:37the next team tied. After that is a three-way tie
- 23:41between Michigan State. Jabba's Nebraska teams falling
- 23:44on a little bit of hard times recently.
- 23:46They're 12 and four in the. Conference, paying attention to
- 23:49them and watching them. Put the kibosh on them and
- 23:53Purdue's had a really good year, as as usual, 22 and five
- 23:58overall. Very well coached, they always
- 24:01are. So you have 5, you have 5,
- 24:03really, really elite. Then you got Wisconsin and UCLA,
- 24:06who I love that. I still don't really understand
- 24:09the LA being in the Big 10 part of it.
- 24:10But that's all another thing that has nothing to do with it.
- 24:13And you got Iowa with the upset the other day.
- 24:15So still a lot going on in that Big 10.
- 24:18Any game, any teams that you think we should look out for in
- 24:21that Big 10? You said Purdue, speedy.
- 24:23I think Purdue, definitely, I think they're the second best
- 24:25team. I worry Illinois a little bit
- 24:27with their defense that they've always been more of an offensive
- 24:29juggernaut. Those teams, except for the one
- 24:31year two years ago where they got blown up by UConn later in
- 24:34the tournament, they're usually an early exit.
- 24:36Nebraska. I'm still not sure what their
- 24:37offense yet. UCLA is interesting though as
- 24:39like maybe a 5 or 6 seed. They can definitely make noise
- 24:42because Cronin went to the Final Four with them as an 11 seed
- 24:45four years ago and they lost on that insane buzzer metered by
- 24:49Gonzaga. And so I would say they're a
- 24:51sleeper. But I think Michigan is
- 24:52definitely the best, followed by Purdue.
- 24:54And I mentioned when I call your shot a few weeks ago, I think
- 24:56Michigan states overrated a little still so.
- 24:58Speaking of overrated, BYU forward AJ Debanza after their
- 25:04upset win over then over then number six Iowa State told
- 25:09reporters he is willing to play a heavy workload to help BYU win
- 25:14a national championship. AJ mentioned how he would play
- 25:1940 minutes every night and has a motor that that's high or higher
- 25:25than any star player in the country.
- 25:28This was perceived by some in the media to be a jab at Kansas
- 25:34guard Darren Peterson, who has had multiple injury issues this
- 25:40season. The Ringer's Bill Simmons said
- 25:44that he couldn't imagine Peterson, who many had a as a
- 25:48lock, as the number one pick early in this season, being the
- 25:53top pick anymore. While Peterson has excellent has
- 25:57been excellent for Kansas, he has missed a lot of games and
- 26:02has had his minutes limited all season, lending Simmons and
- 26:07others like ESPN Jay Williams to question the drive and work
- 26:12ethic of Peterson. Will he be able to play at the
- 26:17NBA level? AJ has played 33.7 minutes per
- 26:23game, averaging 24.9 points per game, 6.7 rebounds and four
- 26:28assists, and played 40 plus minutes in three of his last
- 26:33four games for BYU. Peterson has played only 27.6
- 26:38minutes per game and has missed 11 of Kansas 27 games.
- 26:42ESP NS Dick Fatel Vitale Vitale I'm sorry, believes that Kansas
- 26:47needs a divorce from Peterson person calling it a soap opera
- 26:52and a nightmare that needs to end if Kansas wants to win a
- 26:58title. Kansas coach Bill Self has
- 27:01called all the injury narratives with Peterson BS, saying it's
- 27:07just a bunch of people on social media that want to be fake
- 27:12doctors. There's a lot.
- 27:16Of fake doctors with football. Let's not get him in college.
- 27:18You love Bill's self. I, I actually really, really
- 27:22enjoy what Bill's self has to say.
- 27:24And I'm, I'm, I'm not going to take shots at Bill's self
- 27:26because the guy knows championship basketball, OK?
- 27:29He, he knows he's won a championship with Kansas.
- 27:32This guy's a winner. But he's had his own problems
- 27:36when it comes to health, heart problems.
- 27:38He's been sick. He last year, he, I, I think
- 27:41Kansas got knocked out when he wasn't even on the bench.
- 27:43Yeah. He's had to step away during the
- 27:44Big 12 tournament all together. So we all know that Bill S has
- 27:49really not been there, but he knows how to recruit players and
- 27:52I, he's sticking up first player as far as Peterson's concerned
- 27:55now, Dick Fatale, Vitali who who's supposed to be on a show
- 27:58and we'll get him on the show. I'd love to hear his thoughts on
- 28:01these three top dogs. Obviously Debenza and Peterson
- 28:06and Boozer, where would he break these guys and where would he
- 28:09put them? Interesting thing with both
- 28:12these guys is the devil development of all these guys.
- 28:16Now we all know what the bands it gives.
- 28:18He's raw, athletically gifted, physical upside, high ceiling to
- 28:23develop, likely to be refining technically.
- 28:26So we know what he is. He's a development prospect.
- 28:30He is that kind of player. He's athletically gifted.
- 28:32Remember, he's 6 foot 9. The problem with the bands are
- 28:35that I would say going into the NBA is not his athletic ability.
- 28:38I think his his outside shooting, his perimeter game,
- 28:43which needs to be cleaned up. But everything else about the
- 28:47bands as far as defense is concerned and controlling, you
- 28:50know, dominating in the band, you know, to the basket is
- 28:52ability to dunk and all that other stuff.
- 28:54This guy is as gifted as any player we've seen come out of
- 28:57the draft in the last 15 to 20 years.
- 29:00We all know what he is. We all know what he rates.
- 29:03We all know how much he scores. He's really a dominant player
- 29:06and coming out of going into this year's class, as far as
- 29:10talent, a lot of people out to bands has the most talented one.
- 29:13And they said that BYU has the number one guy in the whole
- 29:17class. But Peterson, his his technical
- 29:21ability, his his ability to get into the paint and dominating
- 29:25the pain, he's great defensively.
- 29:28Obviously he's the problem with him is staying healthy and being
- 29:32there and his upside is still there to really develop into
- 29:37with his skills. He's got the ability to be a
- 29:40superstar in the NBA. He really does.
- 29:42But a lot of these Kansas players, as we seen in the past,
- 29:47one of them that's playing for the 76ers, you know what I'm
- 29:49talking about. Yeah, the The Dirty 1.
- 29:52Joel Embiid, remember him? He was a Kansas player.
- 29:56He's had knee injuries ever since he's come out of Kansas.
- 29:59And the same thing can go for a guy like, you know, Peterson.
- 30:03Peterson can't stay healthy. And the same thing with Joel
- 30:06Embiid when he was playing College in it, you know, the
- 30:09year that they were going to make a run for a national
- 30:11championship. What did they say about Joel
- 30:13Embiid? Can he stay healthy?
- 30:15Can he stay healthy? And that's why he fell the way
- 30:18he did. He wasn't a he wasn't the number
- 30:20one pick in the draft. No, his teammate was Andrew
- 30:22Wiggins. Andrew Wiggins was and the
- 30:24reason why is, is his health problems and the health concerns
- 30:28and that's why the 76ers took a chance with him.
- 30:30Now, I wouldn't say take a chance because he won an MVP or
- 30:32did he because he cried a bit. But the fact here is, is when
- 30:37you look at both of these players, they're very
- 30:39comparable. Now, a lot of people would say
- 30:42AG Dabanza has more skill and and probably has more upside to
- 30:46Peterson. And Dabanza can stay healthy.
- 30:48He can play 40 plus minutes, something that Peterson hasn't
- 30:51done all season long for Kansas. So if that's what you want to
- 30:55sell and that's what you're selling to NBA teams, then
- 30:58Dabanza would be ahead of him. But it is so very small on how
- 31:04you can compare both these guys and who would you pick in front
- 31:07of one or the other. And that's my opinion.
- 31:11But there is one guy that I would pick in front of both of
- 31:14these guys and that's Kambuser. And I know everybody's going to
- 31:19say, well, you're a Duke fan, that's why you're saying it.
- 31:23Here's the thing, I said this about Cooper Flagg and I'll say
- 31:27it about Kambuser. Kambuser is a better all around
- 31:30player than Cooper Flagg is. He is a better all around player
- 31:36than Cooper Flagg. That says a lot.
- 31:39And we all know his pedigree. We know who his father was.
- 31:42His father played for Team USA Basketball.
- 31:45His father was a star in the NBA, wasn't a superstar, but he
- 31:48was a star player. He was a good player.
- 31:50He's way better than his father was, longer than his father was,
- 31:56athletically gifted than his father was, better shooter than
- 32:00his father was. That's the type of player Camp
- 32:03Boozer is. And when you look at father and
- 32:06son combinations, it doesn't usually work out.
- 32:09This, ladies and gentlemen, will work out.
- 32:11This might be the the best father and son comparison as far
- 32:16as players and star players that go from, you know, NBA players
- 32:20to from from college to the NBA. And remember, where did Carlos
- 32:25Boozer play speedy in college? Duke.
- 32:28Where is his son play Duke exactly?
- 32:33Carlos Boozer was a high draft pick.
- 32:35By who was it the Cavs? I think it was, I don't
- 32:39remember. I think it was the Cavs if I'm
- 32:41not mistaken. I'm going to tell you guys this
- 32:45right now. Cam Boozer might be not only
- 32:51better than his dad, not only probably the best player in this
- 32:56class, he is going to be one of the top five NBA players in the
- 33:01next 5 to 6 years. That's how good of a player he
- 33:05is. This guy could score 30 points.
- 33:07This guy could as far as dominant force on the perimeter.
- 33:11Now, I'm not saying the bands that can't do that.
- 33:12I'm not saying Peterson can't do that.
- 33:14All of these guys are going to be the future of United States
- 33:17basketball. All three of these guys are
- 33:18going to be a big part of USA Basketball and they're going to
- 33:22need it because USA Basketball is going to lose a a huge amount
- 33:26of talent. LeBron James, Kevin Durant,
- 33:29Steph Curry all gone in the next 5 years.
- 33:33They're going to need guys like the Banza and Peterson and
- 33:37Boozer to be the faces with Cooper flag.
- 33:41And I'm going to tell you this right now, what I've watched we
- 33:44call a guy like camp Boozer and what I've seen watching him play
- 33:47high school ball all the way to college and what everybody has
- 33:50said about him. Not only has he's developed into
- 33:53a a man, but he has so much more ability and and and transition
- 33:58of a player to become the superstar, the face of United
- 34:02States basketball over the Banza over Peterson.
- 34:06His skills are not limited. And I'll say that about Peterson
- 34:10and to Banza. Both guys are not great
- 34:13perimeter shooters. They're not.
- 34:15You could say whatever you want. Most of their scoring goes in
- 34:18the paint. If you look at Peterson and what
- 34:22he does, they're athletically gifted.
- 34:23Both of these guys are much more athletic than Boozer is.
- 34:27If that's what sells you athletic ability.
- 34:29How about this? Is Luka Doncic that much that
- 34:33athletic as a player? How about Nicola Yokich?
- 34:37Is he that athletic of a player? No.
- 34:41The two best players you can argue in the NBA and Nicola
- 34:45Jokic and Luka Dodgic, their strength is not athletic
- 34:50ability. So what does that tell you about
- 34:53the NBA? Athletically gifted players like
- 34:57Anthony Edwards don't win championships.
- 35:01They don't. Now I'm not saying again, I'm
- 35:05not taking shots at AJ Dubanza. I'm not taking shots.
- 35:10Darren Peterson. I I'm not taking shots at any of
- 35:13these guys. I think they're all ultra
- 35:15talented. These guys are going to be great
- 35:18players in the NBA if they can stay healthy.
- 35:21That's what I worry about. Darren Peterson, I don't know if
- 35:23he's going to stay healthy. And that's why teams might
- 35:27question on drafting this kid in the top three.
- 35:31Yes, I said it. I don't know.
- 35:33If I draft Darren Peterson in my top three, I take Wilson over
- 35:38him. I would I would take Wilson over
- 35:41him from North Carolina. Why?
- 35:45Because one thing I could say about Wilson is not only the
- 35:48size, his ability to shoot, he could shoot around the
- 35:52perimeter. He's a better shooter than the
- 35:54Banza and Peterson. I've watched North Carolina play
- 35:58this year. I saw what they did to Duke.
- 36:01I saw what happened at the end of the game, at the end of the
- 36:03game against Duke, even though one of the fans punched out one
- 36:07of the coaches at Duke, which is pretty funny actually, I had to
- 36:10laugh at that. But I remember that very well.
- 36:12You said. If that was me, I would have
- 36:14faved for John. Shire.
- 36:15Damn right. If I'm running on the court, I'm
- 36:17punching out John Shire. I'm not.
- 36:19I'm not going after anybody but John Shire.
- 36:22I, I, I take my licks out of him.
- 36:24I mean, seriously. But here's the facts.
- 36:28All three of these guys are going to be great players.
- 36:31I think this class is as good as any class we've seen in a very
- 36:34long time. And I know a lot of people in
- 36:36the past would say, hey, we've said that before.
- 36:39We've said it before. Remember the Lonzo Ball draft?
- 36:43Remember that? That was a horrible draft.
- 36:45Yeah, I I wasn't dazed down on Lonzo as some other people were
- 36:49at the network at the time. I still liked him, but I didn't
- 36:50love him as much as the National.
- 36:51I hate him. I liked the Aaron Fox and Lori
- 36:54marketed in that draft mainly. And both guys are pretty good
- 36:58players. Lori Marketing is a good player
- 37:00and D Aaron Fox, but Lori Marketing can't stay healthy and
- 37:02D Aaron Fox is up and down. We don't know that.
- 37:06We haven't seen the best of D Aaron Fox yet, even with the
- 37:08Spurs. But this class is way better
- 37:12than that class. You're talking about probably 7
- 37:15or 8 players that can be super superstars in the NBA.
- 37:20And we're not even talking about the foreign players.
- 37:22And they're saying that some of these these foreign players are
- 37:25falling to the teens, the late teens that I'm watching and I'm
- 37:30seeing right now on some people's draft boards, which is
- 37:33crazy. There are three foreign players
- 37:35right now that some people say have Luka Doncic talent and
- 37:40they're falling into the 20s and.
- 37:42Luka fell. Luka fell.
- 37:43Even though he got trusted at 5, he fell.
- 37:44A lot of people thought he would go 3.
- 37:46Well, the Hawks probably regret what they did.
- 37:48Sure. They they definitely regret what
- 37:50they. Did well.
- 37:51The Mavericks will regret it more.
- 37:52And it was the one move that we can say that somebody who wants
- 37:55his team back made the right choice.
- 37:57Oh yeah. Good luck.
- 37:59We all know Mark Cuban who wants to buy back the Dallas Mavericks
- 38:03and he made the right choice as far as the Trey Young and Luka
- 38:07Doncic. He he did what he did to
- 38:10obviously move up to get Luca and he made a great trade with
- 38:13the New York Knicks to get, you know, poor Zingis.
- 38:16Even though it didn't work out over there.
- 38:18I mean, he didn't give up much. What 2 second round traffic for
- 38:21Howard? Poor Zingis.
- 38:22Howard did out here. He made all those great moves
- 38:24that they hired Nico Harrison. And Nico Harrison came in and
- 38:27then a new ownership group, and they're obviously not getting
- 38:30their casino, so they don't want the team anymore.
- 38:32So now you see Mark Cuban smelling blood, as we all know.
- 38:36Remember Dave Portnoy, he sold Barstool.
- 38:39Does anybody know that story? He sold Barstool for a
- 38:43significant amount of money. A significant, I don't know how
- 38:45much it was, but over 100, a hundred, some odd billion.
- 38:48You know, it was, it was a lot of money.
- 38:50He made a lot of money off of it, off of it.
- 38:53He sold it and then the, the company was going down the
- 38:56drain. So you know what he did?
- 38:57He bought the company back for 50 million.
- 39:00So he made like $500 million on the, on selling the company just
- 39:04to buy it back for 50 million. Then I heard that he didn't even
- 39:07have to pay them the 50 million. He just had to do something or,
- 39:10you know, give them something back that obviously benefited
- 39:13the organization that bought them.
- 39:15And he got the, practically got the name back.
- 39:17So who, who do you think won on that deal?
- 39:19And, and Mark Cuban's going to do the same thing with the
- 39:22Dollar's Maverick. He's going to spin the wheel.
- 39:24Maybe he'll he'll, he'll buy them with dog coin.
- 39:27What? What's that?
- 39:28You know those Bitcoin? Companies I remember off, that's
- 39:30Wes on that. One no, I mean dodge dodge coin
- 39:33or whatever the hell it was that he was sold on.
- 39:35Maybe he just buys a team with with one of those Bitcoin
- 39:38companies as a Bitcoin has gone down from 120,000 to like 63,000
- 39:44in like less than three or four months.
- 39:46Oh yeah, just have to lay. Back they dip.
- 39:48So I don't know if you know these, these, what they call
- 39:53them crypto, those crypto currencies are working out
- 39:55anymore as far as I'm concerned. We had to invent the name for
- 39:59one for Wes. We forgot to do that for a
- 40:00while. What would name him?
- 40:02What would we? I don't remember what we were
- 40:03thinking about at the time, but we had to because Wes is into
- 40:06all. That Wesleys joint that's could
- 40:10you imagine Wes getting high or something like that?
- 40:13I, I couldn't imagine. I've seen Wes get drunk but I I
- 40:16couldn't imagine Wes get high, could you?
- 40:19You're right, I never really think of that because he talks
- 40:21about all his college football trips that he makes.
- 40:23I wonder which one would be the most likely word of.
- 40:25Game I would love to see him get high on marijuana some trees and
- 40:30watch this guy just completely just go crazy on a on a you
- 40:33know, on the sidelines because he gets really, really close to
- 40:35the sidelines and he's a big Buckeyes fans and he's like now
- 40:39he's a roll tie. He's an Alabama fan.
- 40:41And he inherited inherited Mississippi State with the
- 40:44cowboy. That's true that he had to have
- 40:47his son was playing that one time.
- 40:48Then he came on the cell. That's right.
- 40:50This is going to be a wider whoever passes up on Cam Boozer,
- 40:53and if he falls to three and let's say the Nets are sitting
- 40:56there or Dallas is sitting there, whoever's sitting there
- 40:59with the Wizards are sitting there at 3:00, best believe
- 41:03they're getting the best player in this class.
- 41:05I'll tell you this right now. Remember I said this.
- 41:07Book it, book it that Cam Boozer is the best player in this
- 41:13class. Not by a little, by a lot.
- 41:15Yeah, I had Cam Boozer ahead of Darren Peterson as it was now
- 41:18the obviously with these reports of all these injuries now too, I
- 41:21was worried about that when he had the first injury, Darren
- 41:23Peterson and it took him a month for him to come back.
- 41:25This is the beginning of the season too, and we've I've
- 41:28criticized Kansas the last couple years.
- 41:29I've had trouble keeping their players healthy the last two
- 41:32years going into the conference tournament.
- 41:33And that's a big reason they haven't made it out of the the
- 41:36first round since or the first weekend since they won the
- 41:38national championship in 2022. And a lot of that had to do with
- 41:42the the way they're managing their team.
- 41:43But that early in the season, I don't know if you could justify
- 41:45that same kind of case. And then he has a cramping and
- 41:48literally a week later another ankle injury and then cramping
- 41:51again. So is he being rushed back?
- 41:53Is he being mismanaged that way? Or is it what Jay Williams is
- 41:56saying? Is he deliberately saying I'm
- 41:57going to protect myself because you guys are winning without me?
- 42:00And how much is that a good work ethic for the BA standards?
- 42:03Now, I'm not saying A-Team that's so far down like the Nets
- 42:06wouldn't take him. If let's say the Nets even get
- 42:08unlucky in the draft and he falls to five or something, I
- 42:10would still probably take him. But still you do question that
- 42:13kind of you would. Absolutely question where if he
- 42:16should fall out of the top three to five.
- 42:17You would, you would think, and that's where I'm going to put
- 42:20you. Like you said, the 2017 draft.
- 42:21Remember the number one pick in that draft?
- 42:23Markel Fultz, a guy that barely played in college as well.
- 42:25Couldn't hit a shoot, he couldn't shoot a foul shot.
- 42:27Yeah, I know. And there were already
- 42:29deficiencies in his game as it was.
- 42:30He was very raw and I was questioned when he was.
- 42:33Going roll was being nice, I know.
- 42:35Remember Maddie Capps? Oh, I know.
- 42:38That was my first year at the net.
- 42:40I remember it very. Well, Bucket, he's our best
- 42:42player in this class, and I was like, get the hell out.
- 42:44Yeah, I had the best. Player.
- 42:46Did I ever think he would be as bad as he was?
- 42:48No, but I did. Think I did.
- 42:49I did. I did think that he was not
- 42:51number one pick worthy. I thought he was a middle of the
- 42:53first round type pick and. So highly overrated.
- 42:55And same that same draft, the number four pick, another Kansas
- 42:59guy, Josh Jackson, a guy that got a lot of hype and Phoenix
- 43:01took him. He never went anywhere.
- 43:02I think he played like three years in the NBA and that's.
- 43:05How about the Cavs after the fact?
- 43:07When LeBron James left, who did they try?
- 43:09Anthony Bennett. Anthony Bennett How bad was?
- 43:11He that was, I think everyone knew that was a disaster because
- 43:14he was supposed to be like, no worse than like drafting at
- 43:167:00. How about Kwame Brown?
- 43:18Remember that. That was a little before my
- 43:19time, but I know how bad it. Was it was bad and I remember
- 43:22Michael. Jordan, they say Jordan like
- 43:23bullied him, his confidence out of like just he couldn't stand
- 43:28how he was on the court. And that's the kind of feeling I
- 43:31get from this Peterson guy. Guys, I I can't, I just don't
- 43:36see it. There was a clip of him.
- 43:37I was looking up as I was showing some videos of his
- 43:40playing. Obviously he's a really good
- 43:42player. No one's saying he's not, but
- 43:44there's clips of him like signaling to the bench.
- 43:46Hey, Take Me Out. I, I, I'm sorry, this is D1
- 43:52basketball. You're trying to get, you know,
- 43:54position your team for seating in the Big 12 tournament.
- 43:58You're trying to like gel with your team, which The thing is,
- 44:02you know, as you say, Dick Vital says.
- 44:05Then he's not gelling with the team.
- 44:06It's just ugly over there. And why do you want to die like
- 44:10that? And Candace tends to do better
- 44:11with a more organic core, not with the flashy freshman as much
- 44:14when it comes to winning championships, which Bill
- 44:17self-made that work for some Final Four teams.
- 44:19But they've also had their blunders of the first weekend.
- 44:22So where they have these flashy freshmen like the Wiggins NBT
- 44:25was out in the second round. So why did he go to Kansas?
- 44:28Like did they really offer him something like he just couldn't
- 44:31refuse? It just doesn't make any sense
- 44:33why he's on that squad. It doesn't.
- 44:35He just doesn't fit and they play better without him
- 44:38sometimes, you know, like, but if there's someone like the
- 44:40bands that he has to go against, you probably want a guy of his
- 44:44caliber out there. And they've they've matched up.
- 44:46They were very even in their matchup earlier this year.
- 44:49But I don't know, Errol, I'm with you.
- 44:51Like for me, I look at Boozer and I'm like, if Kevin Love was
- 44:56athletic, he'd be this guy. And that's, I think the ceiling.
- 45:00Like, what would an athletic Kevin Love look like?
- 45:02Because he can pass like Kevin Love.
- 45:04He could shoot like Kevin Love, he could rebound like Kevin
- 45:06Love. But we can do more with his body
- 45:09than Kevin Love was ever able to do.
- 45:12And it's exciting as a player. I I would love to have that
- 45:15player on my team. It's like, like better than what
- 45:17Julius Randle would give you at the power forward.
- 45:20It's some it's someone you could build around.
- 45:22It's like almost like a Weber type of a deal.
- 45:24Like you can get out of him. And I would love to have that.
- 45:28Please fall. But if I feel like he's going to
- 45:30go top 2 now for sure with the way Peterson's handling this
- 45:34season. Yeah, and the other thing too,
- 45:36Fish, is the work ethic. Him taking out of games, it
- 45:39reminds me of a lot of 1/3 great Philadelphia 76ers draft pick
- 45:43that did the same thing at LSU, Ben Simmons.
- 45:45And he barely played at the end of that season as well.
- 45:47Granted LSU was not going to the tournament like this Kansas team
- 45:49will, but you wonder if those kinds of work ethic things could
- 45:52carry. I mean.
- 45:53I mean, how many, you know, strikeouts of the Philadelphia
- 45:5776ers have, I mean, nerlings? Noel, remember him?
- 46:00I mean, he was an absolute bomb and everybody was like, oh, this
- 46:03guy is a must, must player in the NBA.
- 46:05Yeah, he was a must player, all right.
- 46:07He was all right with the Knicks.
- 46:08That was all right. Remember, the Knicks were before
- 46:10they hired Leon Rosewal to hire Elton Brand.
- 46:12Thank God they died. He was all right, I'm not going
- 46:14to say Nerlens Noel was a bad player, but he was not a star in
- 46:17the NBA. He he was a top three pick.
- 46:20I remember, I think he was #2 and some people thought he was
- 46:23the best player in that class. And I was like, no, way too
- 46:27skinny, too doofy. I want to, I want to say this, I
- 46:30took shots at Webiyama over the last couple of years and I'll go
- 46:35back and I'll protect that. I think Webiyama is a special
- 46:39player, Michael Jordan, no, but a special player.
- 46:43Can he stay healthy for the next 10 years to become a guy like
- 46:49Nicola Yokich or of that magnitude, that kind of star?
- 46:52Now he's shown that he can be that type of player.
- 46:55He could take over games, rebound, block, do everything
- 46:58because he's so long and and he has an ability to ball handle
- 47:01and shoot. I'll say this about Cam Boozer,
- 47:05whoever drafts him, and I don't know where he goes.
- 47:09Who are the top three teams right now if their season were
- 47:12to end? It'll be the Kings, I the
- 47:14Hornets. I forget who the third one is
- 47:16offhand. You hope he doesn't go to
- 47:18Sacramento because everybody dies in Sacramento.
- 47:20Nobody, nobody wants to go to Sacramento.
- 47:23Halliburton was very lucky to get out of Sacramento.
- 47:27Obviously Fox is very lucky to get out of there.
- 47:30It didn't work out over there with him, the two point guards,
- 47:33and so Bonus definitely wants to get out of there.
- 47:35There's no doubt, no doubt in my mind.
- 47:37Kings, Pacers, Nets, Pelicans, Wizards.
- 47:40Could you imagine? Could you imagine Cam Boozer to
- 47:43the Pacers? Could you imagine that?
- 47:46Could you imagine if you're a Knick fan, to have to contend
- 47:49with Halliburton and Cam Boozer for the next couple of years?
- 47:53That would be absolutely sickening.
- 47:55Sickening if you're you're a Knick fan.
- 47:58So and that could happen and and you see Indiana, that's what
- 48:01they're doing they're doing everything they can to lose
- 48:03because they know they have Halliburton coming back next
- 48:06year and you get you get one of these top three guys, you're
- 48:09sitting pretty next year going into a season.
- 48:12I'm not saying Indiana's going to win a lottery pick.
- 48:15I'm sorry, a top three pick, Because the chances of that
- 48:18happening the way the NBA works is very slim to none.
- 48:21But knowing the NBA and how the NBA works, they'll probably give
- 48:26Indiana one of these top three picks and Cambuser will fall to
- 48:28them. And I will hurl because I do not
- 48:31want to see Cambuser playing my Knicks for the next 15 years and
- 48:35watching them completely demolish him, especially when he
- 48:38develops, because he will. Could you imagine him and Hal
- 48:40Burton? Oh my God, it would make me sick
- 48:43to my stomach. It's enough that I watched
- 48:45Indiana this year every time. Indiana's a bad team, but when
- 48:49they play the Knicks, they're a great team.
- 48:50They always seem to play better against the Knicks out of
- 48:53everybody. And Speaking of the Knicks, I'm
- 48:55I'm going to be working on something.
- 48:56I'll be working on a Knicks show moving forward in the next
- 48:59couple of months. So shout out to Maxine and
- 49:02Quran. I'm going to be working with
- 49:03them and I'm excited because it's going to help us.
- 49:06It's going to help them. And I think Quran is one of the
- 49:09most knowledgeable Nick guys in the business.
- 49:12I watch his show religiously now and he's so talented.
- 49:16He really is so excited to to to move forward with them and and
- 49:20help, you know, both products. So I'm very excited.
- 49:23So very, I don't know what we're going to call it, ladies and
- 49:25gentlemen, but it's going to be a Nick show.
- 49:27We're going to talk a little boxing too, because he knows his
- 49:30boxing. I know my boxing.
- 49:31So if you're a boxing fan, TuneIn, I'm sure it's going to
- 49:34be to be a crazy one because we actually disagree on a lot of
- 49:37things. Thank you to all the fans tuning
- 49:39in and listening to us every single day on Spotify and Apple
- 49:42video and audio. We were ranked 56th in the
- 49:45country today. So that's a huge, huge jump from
- 49:49where we were over the weekend. And we think we'd like to thank
- 49:54all the fans out there tuning and listening to us.
- 49:56Thank you to Siobhan, our marketing guy working and
- 50:00working his hell off to get our stuff out there.
- 50:02So thank you to him. Thank you to all the TikTok and
- 50:05Apple. I mean, I'm sorry, TikTok X
- 50:09Instagram, Facebook, all the the platforms, YouTube, we have a
- 50:13new YouTube channel, YouTube New York.
- 50:16I'm sorry, YouTube New York, a job in the mouth New York.
- 50:19So check that out. It is up.
- 50:22All our New York takes will be up there moving forward.
- 50:24And also we still have the job in the mouth, you know, channel.
- 50:28We also have worldwide Sports Radio Network channel if you
- 50:31want to check that out as well. Who do we have on on Thursday?
- 50:35Nobody yet. Nothing yet.
- 50:36And if it's working on something I should.
- 50:38I'm going to reach out to Neil Smith as well, try to get him
- 50:40on. Yeah, I definitely like to hear
- 50:42Neil Smith's take on Team USA hockey.
- 50:44And Neil Smith is a Canadian, so I'm sure he didn't like the fact
- 50:48that you're not. USA won the Olympic gold medal.
- 50:52But by the way, what Team USA did with Goudreau and Johnny
- 50:57Goudreau and his family for him and his brother was sensational.
- 51:00It shows the heart and soul of this a United States hockey team
- 51:05and how how much and how important the Goudreau family
- 51:08meant to every single player from, you know, from top to
- 51:11bottom, the youth and and and the future of Team USA Hockey
- 51:15stands for something. When you see Johnny Goudreau's
- 51:18United States 15 jersey being held up while they're skating
- 51:23around the ice and celebrating. So it was sensational.
- 51:26It really was. And seeing his kids get a chance
- 51:28to be on there it is speedy. I mean, not speedy Fish is
- 51:33posting up on a social media. All the kids are on the ice, but
- 51:36the players taking pictures with the team.
- 51:38So it was nice to see and shout out to Bill Karin, John Van
- 51:42Beeasbrook and Team USA Hockey for doing and, and really doing
- 51:48something special like that and inviting the Goudreau family to
- 51:51celebrate this unbelievable feat, which took 46 years to do.
- 51:56So a long, long time. And hopefully it doesn't take
- 51:59that long again because we do remember 1994 for the New York
- 52:03Rangers and it's been a long 1A long one for you Ranger fans.
- 52:07Neil Smith knows all about it, yes.
- 52:08He does. Because he's the one that built
- 52:11that team and the Rangers pretty much threw the Wolves, threw
- 52:15them to the Wolves and he was the one that traded John Van
- 52:17Biesburg. And we had our conversation.
- 52:19So I love Neil now. He kind of made me feel good
- 52:22about why he traded John Van Biesburg and he gave me his his
- 52:25take on it. So thank you to Neil.
- 52:26Thank you to all the fans. We will be back on Thursday.
- 52:30Until then, this is Arrow and the the clan of job in the mouth
- 52:34saying good night and we'll talk to you then.
- 52:36Good night everybody. You're you're, you're listening
- 52:38to the Worldwide Sports Radio Network.
