- 0:00Speaker 1: Now, this is The Mark Simone Show on 710WOR.
- 0:05Speaker 2: Well, we got a lot to get to today. Well,
- 0:12Speaker 2: you got another NFL owner caught with prostitutes. We'll get
- 0:16Speaker 2: to that. We'll get to Crazy Mom Donnie. We'll get
- 0:18Speaker 2: to El Sayad on Fox News last night. He may
- 0:22Speaker 2: have done himself a lot of good there. We'll get
- 0:24Speaker 2: to another victory for President Trump, Supreme Court-wise. And, hey,
- 0:29Speaker 2: a major, major movie theater closing. We'll get to that
- 0:33Speaker 2: coming up. And a whole lot more just ahead. Don't forget,
- 0:36Speaker 2: it's 9 to noon every day. Mark Simone here. 9
- 0:40Speaker 2: to noon every day. It's going to be a beautiful
- 0:41Speaker 2: day today and tomorrow. And Thursday looks like rain. But
- 0:45Speaker 2: you've got two great summer days as we get towards
- 0:48Speaker 2: the very end of summer. The president, as he battles Iran...
- 0:56Speaker 2: Starting another war, this time with Canada. About what? Nobody knows. Actually,
- 1:02Speaker 2: Canada has been pretty awful to us as far as trade,
- 1:05Speaker 2: as far as money, trade deals, all that. They're just awful.
- 1:11Speaker 2: So the president put a 50% tariff on Canada, which
- 1:16Speaker 2: pretty much stops imports. And then Canada fighting back 50%
- 1:20Speaker 2: tax on America. They'll show us. Now, The only problem
- 1:25Speaker 2: is we really don't need Canada for anything economically, trade-wise.
- 1:30Speaker 2: We can do just fine without Canada. However, Canada is
- 1:34Speaker 2: totally dependent on the U.S., so they can bluster all
- 1:38Speaker 2: they want. The president even saying now he's going to
- 1:41Speaker 2: rename Lake Ontario Lake America. All right. He may have
- 1:47Speaker 2: pulled that trick out of his bag maybe a few
- 1:51Speaker 2: too many times that Gulf of America, Gulf of Mexico,
- 1:55Speaker 2: Lake America, Lake Ontario. That trick might be wearing off
- 1:58Speaker 2: a little, but it's still effective. It still drives them
- 2:01Speaker 2: nuts up there. And Carney, who's the Canadian prime minister,
- 2:08Speaker 2: trying to sound tough, you know, really tough.
- 2:10Speaker 3: This fall, we will begin intense discussions with the European Union,
- 2:15Speaker 3: the world's second largest economy, to build a much stronger
- 2:19Speaker 3: and deeper economic and security economy.
- 2:22Speaker 2: Now, first of all, you shouldn't do this in the
- 2:23Speaker 2: bathroom where you get that echo. I think that's our audio.
- 2:26Speaker 2: But he's going to form an alliance with the European Union.
- 2:30Speaker 2: I'll show America. We'll go join the European Union. That
- 2:34Speaker 2: is on the verge of total collapse, that European Union.
- 2:37Speaker 2: It's been an absolute disaster for every country that's joined it.
- 2:42Speaker 2: So good luck with that. Now, we can.
- 2:44Speaker 3: Build such unparalleled access because we're trusted, because we're reliable.
- 2:51Speaker 3: and because we have what the world wants.
- 2:54Speaker 2: Yes, so that sounds good to Canadians, but again, European Union,
- 2:58Speaker 2: a disaster. No good ever comes from joining that. It's
- 3:02Speaker 2: not much of a threat. So President Trump just toying
- 3:05Speaker 2: with them. Canada will eventually come to some kind of agreement. Hey, now,
- 3:09Speaker 2: as far as Iran, we're going to destroy them economically.
- 3:13Speaker 2: We already have pretty much. Scott Besson yesterday unveiling the
- 3:18Speaker 2: incredible sanctions he's putting on them. the unbelievably tough sanctions,
- 3:24Speaker 2: the things he's going to do to them. Now, you
- 3:26Speaker 2: may have watched it. I watched it. I don't know
- 3:28Speaker 2: what the hell he was talking about. He looked good
- 3:31Speaker 2: saying it. It looked like he was doing something tough,
- 3:32Speaker 2: but I couldn't quite figure out exactly what it was.
- 3:35Speaker 2: But most important thing is let's check the oil price
- 3:39Speaker 2: because these, the people that actually trade oil, the commodity people,
- 3:45Speaker 2: they actually have to really carefully evaluate this. Is this
- 3:48Speaker 2: going to help? Is this going to hurt this thing? Well,
- 3:50Speaker 2: Price of oil has dropped about $ 3 already. So they
- 3:53Speaker 2: think it's good. The oil traders think it's a very
- 3:57Speaker 2: good thing. That it will be effective. He's laid out
- 3:59Speaker 2: a timeline. I'm not going to set timelines. Take that back.
- 4:04Speaker 2: There's no timeline. All right. He didn't even lay out
- 4:08Speaker 2: a timeline. But what are they going to do? Any
- 4:11Speaker 2: country that tries to help Iran or trade with Iran,
- 4:15Speaker 2: we're going to go after them. We know who they are.
- 4:18Speaker 2: They know who they are. So when the hammer of U.S.
- 4:22Speaker 2: Treasury actions falls upon them, they will have no one
- 4:26Speaker 2: to blame but themselves. All right. Again, he hasn't really
- 4:29Speaker 2: laid out the threat, but..
- 4:30Speaker 4: Those who stand with the United States will reap the
- 4:33Speaker 4: rewards of our partnership. Those who tether themselves to the
- 4:37Speaker 4: Iranian regime should expect to share in the isolation of
- 4:41Speaker 4: a withering regime.
- 4:43Speaker 2: All right.
- 4:44Speaker 4: We are spreading out across the world as we speak.
- 4:49Speaker 2: That you will.
- 4:49Speaker 4: See a wave of sanctions when you leave this meeting today,
- 4:54Speaker 4: and you should expect that cadence to continue. And I
- 4:57Speaker 4: would expect that you will see a major announcement of
- 5:01Speaker 4: a financial institution being sanctioned by the end of this week.
- 5:06Speaker 2: Pretty good. 25 minutes of threatening without ever saying what
- 5:11Speaker 2: the threat is. Nobody knows what it is, but he
- 5:14Speaker 2: sounded pretty serious about it. So it'll have some effect.
- 5:18Speaker 2: They'll just sanction everybody doing business with them. Now, the
- 5:23Speaker 2: problem is that China doesn't listen to any of this.
- 5:25Speaker 2: They're still secretly doing whatever they can for Iran, as
- 5:29Speaker 2: is Russia. But those neighboring countries will now stay the
- 5:33Speaker 2: hell out of it. Again, price of oil is dropping
- 5:35Speaker 2: right now, been dropping overnight. So the oil people love
- 5:39Speaker 2: what they're hearing. They think it's going to be Very,
- 5:42Speaker 2: very effective.
- 5:44Speaker 4: Any entity that facilitates money laundering on behalf of Iran
- 5:50Speaker 4: will be removed from the U.S.
- 5:52Speaker 2: Dollar system.
- 5:53Speaker 4: The clock just started ticking.
- 5:56Speaker 2: All right. That's a pretty good threat. That can affect
- 5:59Speaker 2: a lot.
- 5:59Speaker 4: Let there be no ambiguity as to the position of
- 6:02Speaker 4: the United States and economic engagement of any kind with.
- 6:06Speaker 2: This murderous regime.
- 6:08Speaker 4: Will expose those responsible to the full reach of American power.
- 6:12Speaker 4: And to those who enable Tehran, do not discount the
- 6:16Speaker 4: cost of testing Washington's resolve. No nation should expect to
- 6:22Speaker 4: enjoy the rewards of our system while helping those who
- 6:26Speaker 4: seek to destroy it.
- 6:28Speaker 2: All right, there you go. He's a pretty tough guy, Besant,
- 6:31Speaker 2: despite the little round glasses. Very, very tough guy. And
- 6:35Speaker 2: that's it. He's cutting, everybody's getting cut off Now watch
- 6:39Speaker 2: Canada jump in. Watch this carny all of a sudden
- 6:42Speaker 2: call one of those guys in the caves and jump in.
- 6:44Speaker 2: So it'll be Canada and Iran against the U.S. It
- 6:50Speaker 2: should be pretty effective. It looks like Iran is pretty
- 6:54Speaker 2: much finished economically. It's just a case of totally destroying them.
- 6:58Speaker 2: East Berlin, you remember when that fell? It was kind
- 7:01Speaker 2: of the same thing. It was just so destroyed economically.
- 7:04Speaker 2: It got to the point where there was absolutely no money.
- 7:07Speaker 2: And the soldiers weren't even getting paid. And after a
- 7:10Speaker 2: few months of not getting paid, the soldiers abandoned their posts.
- 7:14Speaker 2: So expect the same thing to start happening in Iran
- 7:17Speaker 2: with absolutely nobody getting paid anything. Al-Sayed, this is the
- 7:23Speaker 2: crazy socialist running in Michigan, Dr. Abdul Sayed, he went
- 7:30Speaker 2: on Jesse Waters' show last night. It was a risky move,
- 7:34Speaker 2: but I think it paid off for him. I think
- 7:36Speaker 2: it looked pretty good for him. Waters was arguing, and
- 7:41Speaker 2: they were both battling and fighting and arguing, but El
- 7:45Speaker 2: Sayed looked pretty good. He didn't lose his cool. He
- 7:48Speaker 2: stayed calm. I mean, everything he's saying is ridiculous, but
- 7:52Speaker 2: the problem with Waters, he didn't quite get to the
- 7:55Speaker 2: real heart of it. El Sayed kept coming back with, well,
- 7:59Speaker 2: don't you want to fix the roads? Don't you want to?
- 8:02Speaker 2: rebuild our infrastructure, don't you? And he never quite said him.
- 8:08Speaker 2: El-Sayed talking about taxing the rich and taxing more and
- 8:11Speaker 2: taking the money from the rich. And he never said
- 8:15Speaker 2: to him, you've already got the money. You've had the
- 8:17Speaker 2: money for years. The government's had the money. You just
- 8:19Speaker 2: spent 7 trillion this year. You waste it. You don't
- 8:23Speaker 2: fix the roads. You overpay for everything by 10,000% and
- 8:27Speaker 2: you never get anything fixed, anything done. It's not a
- 8:30Speaker 2: case of more revenue. It's control your spending. Now, at
- 8:35Speaker 2: one point he asked El-Sayed, he said, well, you know what,
- 8:38Speaker 2: what is the federal budget every year? It was interesting.
- 8:42Speaker 2: El-Sayed didn't know. It was like a Darlene Graham moment.
- 8:45Speaker 2: He had no idea what we spend every year, no
- 8:47Speaker 2: idea what the budget is. Now, the part everybody's talking
- 8:50Speaker 2: about is the, how did Jesse Waters put it? Castrating
- 8:57Speaker 2: your child, you know, trans this and that. Jesse Waters said,
- 9:02Speaker 2: cutting their ding-a-ling off. El-Sayed responded. People thought El-Sayed sort
- 9:08Speaker 2: of won this battle. So, Abdul, you're a doctor, right?
- 9:12Speaker 4: I am.
- 9:13Speaker 2: So you think it's okay for a parent to slash
- 9:15Speaker 2: his kid's ding-a-ling off? You think that's okay?
- 9:19Speaker 3: I mean, do you really want to have this conversation?
- 9:21Speaker 5: Are you circumcised?
- 9:23Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, but I mean, that's a personal question, doctor.
- 9:27Speaker 1: So you probably should want to move on.
- 9:29Speaker 2: You probably should want to move on. Yeah, so people
- 9:32Speaker 2: believe El-Sayed won that argument. Nobody, it's 8 o'clock at night,
- 9:36Speaker 2: you just ate, nobody wants to watch a discussion of
- 9:38Speaker 2: Jesse Waters' penis. This is not a subject that should
- 9:41Speaker 2: be on television. But, and again, I don't think he
- 9:45Speaker 2: responded well enough to El-Sayed. He should have said, you're
- 9:48Speaker 2: talking about circumcision, that's like comparing a manicure to amputating
- 9:52Speaker 2: your hand. I mean, it's not the same as chopping
- 9:56Speaker 2: the whole thing off. And he never quite got that out.
- 9:59Speaker 2: So El Sayed held his own, which is all you
- 10:02Speaker 2: need to do for the left-wing crowd. They're going to
- 10:06Speaker 2: be very happy with him. El Sayed will be using
- 10:09Speaker 2: the clip showing you how he was very calm. He
- 10:12Speaker 2: didn't lose his cool. Stayed calm. Battled Jesse Waters. That'll
- 10:16Speaker 2: help him with his crazy baseball. And I don't know.
- 10:22Speaker 2: You may see him start doing more of these shows.
- 10:24Speaker 2: You might see El Sayad go do a few more
- 10:26Speaker 2: of these shows. He thought he did very well, and
- 10:29Speaker 2: his base will love it. Hey, tonight is the runoff.
- 10:34Speaker 2: They've had the runoff. North Carolina, the primaries tonight to
- 10:38Speaker 2: decide who the nominee will be. Darlene Graham, Lindsey Graham's sister.
- 10:43Speaker 2: I don't think she's going to have an easy time.
- 10:46Speaker 2: She may not win tonight because... The polls are very close.
- 10:50Speaker 2: She's ahead by like half a point. It's like 49
- 10:53Speaker 2: to 49.5. And it's not really enough. And these polls
- 10:56Speaker 2: aren't that accurate. There's a margin of error of like
- 10:59Speaker 2: three or four percent. It all came down this moment
- 11:02Speaker 2: in the debate where she really she was very honest,
- 11:05Speaker 2: very sweet here, very honest. But she had to admit
- 11:08Speaker 2: she was asked about China and Taiwan. She had to
- 11:10Speaker 2: admit she doesn't really know anything.
- 11:12Speaker 1: Senator, are Taiwan and the South China Sea national security
- 11:16Speaker 1: issues for the United States? If so, why? I'm sorry,
- 11:21Speaker 1: could you repeat the question? Are Taiwan and the South
- 11:24Speaker 1: China Sea national security issues for the United States?
- 11:27Speaker 4: And if so, why or how?
- 11:31Speaker 1: I'm just going to be honest here. I'm not on
- 11:33Speaker 1: national security. I'm not that informed on national security. But
- 11:40Speaker 1: I do support the military.
- 11:44Speaker 2: Yeah, that's not a good answer. She sounds like a
- 11:47Speaker 2: very genuine, sweet, nice person. But you can't, if you're
- 11:51Speaker 2: running for the Senate, you can't say in the debate,
- 11:54Speaker 2: you know, what's that, foreign policy? I don't know. I
- 11:57Speaker 2: don't follow that kind of stuff. You could say, well,
- 12:02Speaker 2: some are arguing this might have helped her with some people.
- 12:05Speaker 2: I don't buy this. But they're saying it might have
- 12:07Speaker 2: helped her because she looked like such an honest, genuine person.
- 12:11Speaker 2: You never hear that kind of honesty from a politician. Okay, yeah.
- 12:17Speaker 2: But on the other hand, you've just decided you're running
- 12:20Speaker 2: for Senate. Now, all of a sudden, you've got a
- 12:22Speaker 2: debate coming up in two weeks. Wouldn't you start studying
- 12:26Speaker 2: all this stuff? You know, if you've got a campaign team,
- 12:28Speaker 2: you've got these briefers. They brief you on every issue.
- 12:31Speaker 2: And obviously, if it's the Senate, it's all foreign policy
- 12:34Speaker 2: and economy. So you should have been briefed on it.
- 12:37Speaker 2: So she may have sounded very genuine and honest, but
- 12:40Speaker 2: she sounds kind of lazy. Like, you know, study for
- 12:44Speaker 2: the debate. Get ready for it. President Trump has had
- 12:47Speaker 2: the RNC pump a ton of money in there trying
- 12:50Speaker 2: to help her. He's been down there. He went down
- 12:52Speaker 2: there and had a big rally and campaign for her.
- 12:55Speaker 2: He's been trying to help her.
- 12:56Speaker 6: I mean, just so you understand, I like the other
- 12:58Speaker 6: people in the race also.
- 12:59Speaker 4: They're all Trump.
- 13:00Speaker 6: I mean, they're all Trumpers, but, you know.
- 13:03Speaker 5: I endorsed her. I think she's great.
- 13:05Speaker 6: It's really in honor of her brother, and she's really
- 13:08Speaker 6: a very smart woman.
- 13:09Speaker 2: Yeah, that's helicopter noise behind him. You know, if you
- 13:12Speaker 2: want to really sound impressive... it's one thing to have
- 13:15Speaker 2: a chauffeur car driver, have a helicopter, make a noise
- 13:21Speaker 2: behind you. Just like a helicopter. You're ready to get
- 13:23Speaker 2: against you. Just helicopter noise behind you. In fact, when
- 13:25Speaker 2: you call somebody, have a recording of it, just play
- 13:28Speaker 2: it behind you. What's that noise? I'm about to get
- 13:30Speaker 2: on my helicopter. It's very, very impressive. So if she
- 13:35Speaker 2: doesn't win, it's a, what's his name? Norman, uh, who
- 13:38Speaker 2: Trump can live with. It's not his first choice, but, uh, he,
- 13:41Speaker 2: he can, he can live with her. He'll, uh, He'll
- 13:44Speaker 2: work it out. In fact, they'll all be friends the
- 13:46Speaker 2: next day. Hey, a major movie theater is closing. We've
- 13:51Speaker 2: lost all our great movie theaters in New York City,
- 13:54Speaker 2: in Manhattan. The best one was right over there across
- 13:57Speaker 2: the street, the Ziegfeld Theater. That was the biggest theater.
- 14:00Speaker 2: It was like 2,500 seats. It was a big screen.
- 14:05Speaker 2: And it had that super surround sound, Dolby, whatever the
- 14:08Speaker 2: hell that is stuff. But it was an amazing theater
- 14:11Speaker 2: to watch a movie in. It was the biggest screen
- 14:13Speaker 2: in Manhattan. That's where they had all the movie premieres
- 14:15Speaker 2: because you could get 2,500 people there. And it was incredible.
- 14:18Speaker 2: So they closed that. It's now a venue. It's like
- 14:22Speaker 2: a ballroom, the Ziegfeld Ballroom. But the other great, the
- 14:26Speaker 2: second biggest theater in New York is the AMC Kipps Bay.
- 14:31Speaker 2: It's whatever that is, like 30th Street, 2nd Avenue. And
- 14:35Speaker 2: it's one of those AMC theaters. I went to a
- 14:37Speaker 2: movie premiere there earlier this year. And they had redone
- 14:40Speaker 2: the whole theater with those incredible, the AMC is very
- 14:43Speaker 2: good at this. They put in these big recliner chairs.
- 14:46Speaker 2: They're the most comfortable chairs in the world. They got
- 14:48Speaker 2: a tray on either side. They got all kinds of food,
- 14:51Speaker 2: not just popcorn and candy. They got anything you want.
- 14:53Speaker 2: It's amazing, these theaters. So why is it closing? It
- 14:57Speaker 2: was doing pretty well. Well, nothing to do with its
- 15:01Speaker 2: business as a theater. It was doing okay. NYU Langone
- 15:05Speaker 2: has bought the land. They're taking over the whole thing.
- 15:07Speaker 2: They're going to build a massive hospital there NYU Langone,
- 15:11Speaker 2: a very, very good hospital system, one of our finest.
- 15:15Speaker 2: But they are taking over. Obviously, they've got a huge, huge,
- 15:20Speaker 2: huge NYU hospital facility there. And they've got these NYU
- 15:24Speaker 2: Langone centers all over Manhattan if you need to get
- 15:28Speaker 2: a CAT scan or get this or that. But they're
- 15:31Speaker 2: building massive hospitals. There's going to be one there. If
- 15:35Speaker 2: you're out in Long Island, you see it coming. There's
- 15:37Speaker 2: a huge NYU Langone facility. in uh already in long
- 15:41Speaker 2: island and if you're in huntington melville they're about to
- 15:44Speaker 2: build probably the biggest hospital in long island they're just
- 15:47Speaker 2: getting bigger and bigger and bigger these hospitals are becoming
- 15:52Speaker 2: they're they're bigger than data centers now this uh the
- 15:56Speaker 2: opening these enormous facilities everywhere so hey we'll get to
- 16:00Speaker 2: data centers later we'll get to uh well we got
- 16:02Speaker 2: all kinds of things to get to uh and we'll
- 16:05Speaker 2: take some calls a little later on uh uh Great
- 16:09Speaker 2: being with you, 9 to noon. Don't forget, it's three
- 16:11Speaker 2: hours now. It's 9 to noon every weekday here on 710WOR.
- 16:17Speaker 2: From the WOR LifeVac studios. Hey, a big victory for
- 16:24Speaker 2: President Trump, Supreme Court victory. Another one, not just the
- 16:27Speaker 2: ballroom victory, but Supreme Court has cleared the way now
- 16:30Speaker 2: for him to put out an executive order controlling mail-in voting.
- 16:36Speaker 2: This is very, very big. There was an executive order
- 16:40Speaker 2: about restricting mail-in voting to just who it should be
- 16:44Speaker 2: and not anybody else. So, you know, all these crazy
- 16:47Speaker 2: judges are ruled against him. You can't do that. You
- 16:50Speaker 2: can't issue an executive order about it. It has to
- 16:52Speaker 2: be Congress. But Supreme Court jumped in and said he can.
- 16:56Speaker 2: He can set limits on mail-in voting. In other words,
- 16:59Speaker 2: make it only citizens and you have to have uh,
- 17:04Speaker 2: ID and all that. You have to be clearly identified.
- 17:06Speaker 2: The ballot has to have an address on it if
- 17:08Speaker 2: you mail it in. So the Supreme court, okay. Is
- 17:11Speaker 2: it this executive order was signed in March, but tied
- 17:14Speaker 2: up by all these judges, Supreme court has cleared the
- 17:17Speaker 2: way us postal service. Uh, now the government will also
- 17:21Speaker 2: give them a list of citizens. So the us postal
- 17:24Speaker 2: service will only deliver the ballots to actual citizens. And
- 17:31Speaker 2: then they'll be clearly marked with an address and people
- 17:34Speaker 2: will be identified. Now, the only problem is they've got
- 17:39Speaker 2: to put this into effect before the midterms. That's not
- 17:42Speaker 2: going to be easy and in some states not going
- 17:44Speaker 2: to be possible. It looks like many states have already
- 17:48Speaker 2: begun sending out the ballots already. And the rest will
- 17:53Speaker 2: be sending them out in just a few weeks. So
- 17:55Speaker 2: you've got very, very, very little time to get this done.
- 18:00Speaker 2: You know about this 49ers owner? He's another NFL owner
- 18:04Speaker 2: caught with prostitutes. He's the San Francisco 49ers owner, Jed York.
- 18:12Speaker 2: He and his family worth $ 8 billion. Now let's say
- 18:17Speaker 2: you're worth 8 billion. You own an NFL team and
- 18:20Speaker 2: you'd like to have sex. You'd like to cheat on
- 18:22Speaker 2: your wife. You want to have sex. You got 8 billion.
- 18:26Speaker 2: You own an NFL team. How would you go find it? Uh,
- 18:30Speaker 2: Team cheerleaders? No, that's too close to home. But you
- 18:33Speaker 2: got $ 8 billion. You own the NFL team. Well, this
- 18:37Speaker 2: guy looks at an ad, an online ad for prostitutes
- 18:42Speaker 2: in a trailer park. And it's only $ 140. Now, it's
- 18:49Speaker 2: a trailer park. It's only $ 140. I don't know what
- 18:52Speaker 2: you get. Probably looks like Roseanne. I don't know. But
- 18:57Speaker 2: this is what he wants. Sunday at 9.30 in the morning.
- 19:03Speaker 2: Who needs this at 9.30 in the morning? Anyway, 9.30
- 19:06Speaker 2: in the morning, he shows up at the trailer park
- 19:11Speaker 2: for whatever he paid for and is immediately arrested because
- 19:17Speaker 2: it turns out there's no prostitute. The whole thing was
- 19:20Speaker 2: a sting operation by the police. And the East Palestine,
- 19:27Speaker 2: Ohio police It's the, listen to this name, the Mahonig
- 19:32Speaker 2: Valley Human Trafficking Task Force. Yep, the Mahonig Valley Human
- 19:39Speaker 2: Trafficking Task Force. That's a guy named Jethro and another
- 19:43Speaker 2: Barney Fife-looking guy. But they arrested him. He was taken
- 19:47Speaker 2: into custody. It says here, by arrest. an agent from
- 19:50Speaker 2: the Mahanag Valley Human Trafficking Task Force who had orchestrated
- 19:55Speaker 2: the sting operation. York went into court. He cut a
- 19:58Speaker 2: plea deal with prosecutors. And he was released on a
- 20:03Speaker 2: $ 5, 000 bond. He pled no contest to a lesser charge
- 20:08Speaker 2: of disorderly conduct. And no contest to one count of
- 20:12Speaker 2: possessing criminal tools. You make your own joke there. He
- 20:18Speaker 2: was sentenced to one day in jail and was given
- 20:21Speaker 2: credit for time served. So he's not serving anything. He
- 20:24Speaker 2: was also ordered to pay $ 1, 150 in fines. Now, he
- 20:31Speaker 2: was also ordered to take an online course. In what?
- 20:33Speaker 2: I don't know. What kind of online course would that be? Now,
- 20:38Speaker 2: what is it with these NFL owners? Bob Kraft is
- 20:41Speaker 2: a good guy, a very good guy. But remember, he
- 20:43Speaker 2: got caught with these Asian prostitutes. Remember, it was a
- 20:49Speaker 2: broken-down little massage parlor. It was in a strip mall.
- 20:53Speaker 2: Kraft lives in Palm Beach, Florida. And this strip mall
- 20:56Speaker 2: was way, way, like many miles north in some little town.
- 21:00Speaker 2: It was a dinky little strip mall with supposedly a
- 21:03Speaker 2: massage place in there. And it was Asian women, older
- 21:07Speaker 2: Asian women. They were all like in their 50s and 60s. So,
- 21:12Speaker 2: I mean, good for him in a way. He wasn't
- 21:13Speaker 2: caught with some 24-year-old, 60-year-old Asian woman. And it was
- 21:20Speaker 2: like $ 50 for a, they called it a massage, but
- 21:24Speaker 2: you fill in the rest. And there was a sting operation,
- 21:28Speaker 2: photographing guys going in and out. And apparently they caught
- 21:31Speaker 2: him one day going there twice. Twice in one day.
- 21:35Speaker 2: Good for him. But he was arrested. He got out
- 21:38Speaker 2: of it. Because, again, it was like a broken down
- 21:40Speaker 2: little small town police thing operation. They didn't do it right.
- 21:46Speaker 2: Technicalities got the whole thing thrown out. But what is
- 21:49Speaker 2: it with these guys? Kraft, also a multi-billionaire. I mean,
- 21:53Speaker 2: you'd think if you were looking for a little action there,
- 21:56Speaker 2: you could find it in a better place than it.
- 21:59Speaker 2: dingy little strip mall or a broken down trailer park
- 22:02Speaker 2: but maybe that's part of the attraction maybe this you
- 22:04Speaker 2: know who knows what people like but uh i think
- 22:08Speaker 2: uh will this cure the guy i don't know you're
- 22:10Speaker 2: gonna have a lot of uh local press now following
- 22:12Speaker 2: the guy around uh keeping an eye on him same
- 22:15Speaker 2: thing with crafty had to be very very very careful
- 22:19Speaker 2: after that hey uh over at the five you know
- 22:21Speaker 2: the five is the number one show in cable television
- 22:25Speaker 2: out of all the channels fox msnbc CNN, all the
- 22:30Speaker 2: big shows on Fox Newsmax, News Nation, all the major
- 22:33Speaker 2: Fox News shows, primetime. The Five actually beats them all.
- 22:36Speaker 2: It's the number one show. Gets almost 4 million viewers
- 22:40Speaker 2: every day. And it's been, it's its 15th anniversary. It's
- 22:44Speaker 2: been 15 years now. And for 19 quarters, that's like
- 22:50Speaker 2: five years, for five years, it's been the number one
- 22:53Speaker 2: show in cable news. Number one show. So they had
- 22:57Speaker 2: an empty seat there. They finally filled it. Emily Campagno,
- 23:00Speaker 2: she's very nice, very good. She's going to get the
- 23:03Speaker 2: full-time job. That was the Jeanine Pirro seat. She could
- 23:06Speaker 2: have been doing that every day instead of being the
- 23:08Speaker 2: prosecutor in D.C. But again, you know, who knows what
- 23:11Speaker 2: people want? I'd rather go be on The Five every day,
- 23:14Speaker 2: get paid millions, have a nice, fun life, have a
- 23:17Speaker 2: fun time. You know, you go over there to Fox.
- 23:20Speaker 2: It's just wonderful there, a nice place. I'd rather do
- 23:23Speaker 2: that than be a prosecutor in D.C., but people like
- 23:26Speaker 2: whatever they like, you know. One guy wants to go
- 23:29Speaker 2: to a trailer park for $ 140. Somebody else wants to
- 23:31Speaker 2: be a prosecutor in D.C. courtrooms. Anyway, hey, we'll get
- 23:35Speaker 2: all the latest news. We'll take some calls later, 800-321-0710. 710-W-O-R. No.
- 23:44Speaker 2: The Mark Simone Show. Nine till noon weekdays.
- 23:48Speaker 5: More Mark.
- 23:49Speaker 7: 710-W-O-R.
- 23:49Speaker 2: Hey, we'll take some calls. 800-321-0710 is the number.
- 23:52Speaker 4: 800-321-0710.
- 23:53Speaker 5: Hey, you hear this?
- 23:53Speaker 2: CNN went out yesterday. Went off the air for 30 minutes.
- 23:57Speaker 2: They haven't said exactly what happened, but about 12.05... to
- 24:11Speaker 2: about 12.35 for nearly 30 minutes. CNN was off the air.
- 24:16Speaker 2: Brianna Keller was the anchor when she came back. She said,
- 24:19Speaker 2: welcome back. We're back. There was a technical issue across
- 24:22Speaker 2: Warner Brothers Discovery's channels that resulted in losing our signal.
- 24:26Speaker 2: We're sorry for the interruption. Let's get back now to
- 24:30Speaker 2: breaking news, which means fake news. Now, CNN was out
- 24:33Speaker 2: for a half hour. It's very serious. That affected nearly
- 24:36Speaker 2: 125,000 people that were actually watching CNN. Well, it was
- 24:44Speaker 2: on 125,000 sets, but let's figure 50,000 were watching. The rest,
- 24:50Speaker 2: it was on in the airport. It was on in
- 24:51Speaker 2: the gym. The sound was off. Nobody was really watching.
- 24:54Speaker 2: Let's go to Neil in Brooklyn. Neil, how you doing?
- 24:59Speaker 5: Thank you, Mark. Mark, I was watching a lot of
- 25:02Speaker 5: shows to see if they had an opinion about the
- 25:04Speaker 5: Hakeem Jeffries, Jared.
- 25:05Speaker 7: Kushner meeting, and nobody came up with this theory, okay?
- 25:10Speaker 7: The theory is that Jared says to him, look, we
- 25:13Speaker 7: know you're going.
- 25:13Speaker 5: To win the house back.
- 25:17Speaker 7: And then these communists are going to come after you
- 25:18Speaker 7: and they're going to tell you they don't want you.
- 25:20Speaker 7: They don't even want to look at you.
- 25:22Speaker 6: But my father-in-law has a bunch of Republicans.
- 25:26Speaker 2: Well, I love how you make up this whole fake
- 25:28Speaker 2: conversation that you think that..
- 25:31Speaker 5: Well, nobody had any other good theories.
- 25:35Speaker 2: Well, we don't need any theories. They actually, believe it
- 25:38Speaker 2: or not, Jared and... Hakeem have, I wouldn't say friends,
- 25:41Speaker 2: they've been associates for years. From even the first term
- 25:46Speaker 2: of Trump, they would talk often and meet often. They've
- 25:49Speaker 2: had a relationship for some time. Remember, Jared was in
- 25:53Speaker 2: the White House, actually in the White House, full-time, first term.
- 25:57Speaker 2: And remember, Jared and Ivanka, they're not exactly MAGA Republicans.
- 26:01Speaker 2: Jared's always kind of a liberal sort of a guy.
- 26:04Speaker 2: He's had a long, long relationship with Hakeem Jeffries. So
- 26:08Speaker 2: He just wanted to meet with them just in case
- 26:10Speaker 2: they win. He wanted to just make peace and make
- 26:14Speaker 2: sure they were on good terms again. So they met
- 26:17Speaker 2: in a private home here in Manhattan this past week.
- 26:20Speaker 2: Let's go to Michael on the east side. Michael, how
- 26:23Speaker 2: you doing?
- 26:24Speaker 7: Hey, Michael.
- 26:25Speaker 8: Always good to talk to you. A couple of thoughts
- 26:28Speaker 8: about that.
- 26:28Speaker 2: Doesn't he sound.
- 26:29Speaker 7: Like a gangster?
- 26:30Speaker 2: I knew he sounded like a gangster from a 1940s movie.
- 26:33Speaker 2: I could see you telling Jimmy Cagney, now she here, Michael.
- 26:37Speaker 9: Well, I thank you for that.
- 26:39Speaker 8: In any event, people have been talking about that NFL
- 26:43Speaker 8: owner who got into trouble recently and then they bring
- 26:48Speaker 8: up Kraft's name.
- 26:49Speaker 7: You talk about the.
- 26:50Speaker 2: NFL owner who went to a prostitute? Yeah. And this
- 26:56Speaker 2: story kind of..
- 27:00Speaker 9: And come on, give him a break. He went to
- 27:02Speaker 9: a strip mall. What else is he going to find there?
- 27:05Speaker 9: And then he got disoriented with all those Korean girls there.
- 27:10Speaker 7: Actually, she was.
- 27:12Speaker 9: Okay, so send him.
- 27:14Speaker 2: She was actually Chinese. And apparently he went to her many, many, many,
- 27:19Speaker 2: many times for years. He even brought her to Mar-a-Lago
- 27:21Speaker 2: once to a party there.
- 27:24Speaker 9: I would lay odds on that. But then send him
- 27:27Speaker 9: to a penal colony.
- 27:30Speaker 2: Well, listen, the guy Kraft likes to go to these
- 27:33Speaker 2: Chinese strip mall massage parlors and get a little, what
- 27:37Speaker 2: they call a rub and tug. And you kind of
- 27:40Speaker 2: identify with this for some reason. You're a little sensitive
- 27:43Speaker 2: on this subject. He's listening to himself on the radio.
- 27:49Speaker 2: Thanks for calling. Let's go to Rich in Myrtle Beach. Rich,
- 27:52Speaker 2: how are you doing?
- 27:54Speaker 7: Hey, thanks, Mark. You know, last week when Trump came
- 27:56Speaker 7: down here for that rally on Friday, I was actually
- 27:59Speaker 7: performing at a bar about three blocks away, and a
- 28:01Speaker 7: bunch of people came in about 9 o'clock, I'm going
- 28:03Speaker 7: to say two dozen, sitting at various tables, all had
- 28:06Speaker 7: their red MAGA hats on and everything, so I was
- 28:08Speaker 7: just finishing up. And I went to ask them, did
- 28:11Speaker 7: you come to this rally for Darlene Graham? You come
- 28:13Speaker 7: to see Donald Trump. A hundred percent of them said
- 28:16Speaker 7: they came only for Donald Trump. They're not Darlene Graham fans.
- 28:19Speaker 2: That's the idea.
- 28:20Speaker 7: Ralph's not... That Ralph's not a Ralph Norman's not a
- 28:25Speaker 7: big fan. It's a it's a neck and neck tie
- 28:27Speaker 7: down here.
- 28:29Speaker 2: We know it's about forty nine five to forty nine.
- 28:32Speaker 2: But you got to remember, when the president of these rallies,
- 28:34Speaker 2: of course, they're coming to see him. That's why you
- 28:36Speaker 2: do the rally, because that's the idea of it.
- 28:38Speaker 7: That's right. I don't think it's going to help. I
- 28:40Speaker 7: wouldn't be surprised if Ralph Norman won, but he's been
- 28:43Speaker 7: a bit of an obstructionist to Donald Trump.
- 28:45Speaker 5: He's not a good guy either. They're both terrible.
- 28:47Speaker 2: Well, he's better than nothing, but he probably is going
- 28:50Speaker 2: to win tonight. But see, that's the idea of the rally,
- 28:52Speaker 2: what Trump does. He gets all his fans there, and
- 28:55Speaker 2: they're all watching, and they're all watching, and then he
- 29:00Speaker 2: tells them all about Darlene Graham, why you should vote
- 29:03Speaker 2: for them. So the idea, you don't want to get
- 29:05Speaker 2: her fans there because they're already voting for her. You
- 29:07Speaker 2: don't need them. But you get all your fans there,
- 29:10Speaker 2: and then you talk to them for 20 minutes about
- 29:12Speaker 2: why they should vote for her, and you give this
- 29:14Speaker 2: whole speech, and then that converts them over to her fans.
- 29:16Speaker 2: I don't know if it'll work. She's really, in some ways,
- 29:21Speaker 2: the incumbent, so she should be ahead now in the polls,
- 29:23Speaker 2: and she's not. So she's probably going to have a
- 29:25Speaker 2: very tough time tonight. Let's go to Joe in Hoboken. Joe,
- 29:28Speaker 2: how are you doing?
- 29:31Speaker 5: Hi, Mark. First time, long time.
- 29:34Speaker 6: I want to thank you for what you do.
- 29:36Speaker 2: I don't know what I do, but okay.
- 29:40Speaker 6: I've been a fan for over five years, and out
- 29:43Speaker 6: of all the commentators, you're happy. I'm a former New Yorker.
- 29:48Speaker 6: You know so much about the city, and I love
- 29:51Speaker 6: when you have guests on, and they go down a
- 29:54Speaker 6: rabbit hole with doom and gloom, and you're like, thanks
- 29:59Speaker 6: for cheering us up. I just laugh throughout the day
- 30:02Speaker 6: listening to your show. I even don't get enough of Mark.
- 30:06Speaker 6: I go to the old tapes. I was listening to
- 30:08Speaker 6: you in 2018, and your predictions were even right back then.
- 30:14Speaker 7: All right.
- 30:16Speaker 2: I got to be honest. You may have a problem.
- 30:18Speaker 2: This sounds like an addiction. This sounds like too much listening.
- 30:24Speaker 6: Thank you so much. See, I said you're funny.
- 30:28Speaker 2: Yeah, but this might be a little too much listening.
- 30:30Speaker 2: You know, I'm supposed to do that. I'm supposed to
- 30:32Speaker 2: go listen to the show again and see what I
- 30:35Speaker 2: can fix. You learn from listening to it. Every day
- 30:39Speaker 2: you're supposed to listen to your show back. I've never
- 30:41Speaker 2: once been able to do it. Never. I can't do it.
- 30:44Speaker 6: So who am I going to listen to if they're
- 30:47Speaker 6: all negative and not happy? You're happy.
- 30:50Speaker 2: Well, that's true. That's true. You can't be yelling and
- 30:53Speaker 2: screaming and upset and lecturing. That doesn't work.
- 30:57Speaker 6: Oh, it's just so depressing. Or angry, or I don't know.
- 31:03Speaker 2: Tell us why you left Manhattan and you went to Hoboken.
- 31:05Speaker 2: What was the reason?
- 31:08Speaker 6: Oh, we had a baby, and it was just cheaper.
- 31:11Speaker 2: It is cheaper. But Hoboken's pretty crowded. It's like New
- 31:15Speaker 2: York City. It's pretty crowded. It's not so cheap there,
- 31:18Speaker 2: is it?
- 31:20Speaker 6: Uh, well, they have this, it's not called rent control.
- 31:25Speaker 6: It's called something else, but they're only allowed to raise
- 31:28Speaker 6: your rent like 3% a year. Um, so yeah, we have, God,
- 31:35Speaker 6: we have a $ 1, 200 a month rent for.
- 31:38Speaker 7: A two bedroom. Wow.
- 31:39Speaker 2: That's pretty good.
- 31:40Speaker 6: And when we moved in, yeah, when we moved in,
- 31:43Speaker 6: it was 1100. And, uh, I think it went up
- 31:47Speaker 6: to 1200 in the last three years. And then, You know,
- 31:50Speaker 6: these increases are like $ 69. It's amazing.
- 31:53Speaker 2: Very good. And now stop saying this, otherwise everybody's going
- 31:56Speaker 2: to start moving to Hoboken. It'll get too crowded. But
- 31:59Speaker 2: good call, Joe. Great call. Thanks for calling. Call again.
- 32:02Speaker 2: That's the thing about living in Manhattan. If you live
- 32:05Speaker 2: in Manhattan, it's so expensive that you can move anywhere
- 32:09Speaker 2: you want, and it seems cheap. You know, if you
- 32:11Speaker 2: live in Massapequa and you move somewhere else, you go,
- 32:14Speaker 2: this is so expensive. But if you live in Manhattan,
- 32:17Speaker 2: any place seems cheap compared to Manhattan. Let's go to
- 32:20Speaker 2: Bill in New Jersey. Bill, how you doing?
- 32:23Speaker 5: Okay, thank you, Mark. So Kathy Bugs Bunny, wife of
- 32:27Speaker 5: Hank Hochul, wants to pass a law to protect criminals.
- 32:32Speaker 5: And my question is, can't federal law for ICE overrule
- 32:37Speaker 5: state law?
- 32:38Speaker 2: Oh, it does. It does. It absolutely does. Yeah. She
- 32:40Speaker 2: can make all these sanctuary whatever rules. Federal law always
- 32:44Speaker 2: supersedes local law. ICE can do whatever the hell they want.
- 32:46Speaker 2: There's nothing she can do about it. She just yells
- 32:49Speaker 2: and screams, sanctuary city, and we will not cooperate with ICE. Now,
- 32:55Speaker 2: it's a smarter thing to cooperate. If they don't cooperate
- 32:57Speaker 2: with ICE, they've got to go in the street and
- 32:58Speaker 2: they've got to bring a lot more people because they
- 33:00Speaker 2: don't have local cops to help them. They've got to
- 33:03Speaker 2: bring a lot more people, and it's a rougher operation. Now,
- 33:06Speaker 2: if you're Bruce Blakeman and you're a smart, very, very
- 33:09Speaker 2: smart governor in Nassau County, he fully cooperates with ICE.
- 33:13Speaker 2: We'll have local police help you. With your arrest, we'll
- 33:17Speaker 2: lend you a jail if you need it. That's why
- 33:19Speaker 2: you never hear a problem in Nassau County. Everything's done nicely, peacefully. Hey,
- 33:25Speaker 2: we've got a lot coming up. Don't forget, I'm here
- 33:27Speaker 2: 9 to noon every day now. It's three hours, 9
- 33:30Speaker 2: to noon every day. Then at noon, you've got Buck
- 33:33Speaker 2: and Clay. That's a really good show. You'll learn a
- 33:35Speaker 2: lot listening to them. Noon to 3, and then you've
- 33:37Speaker 2: got 3 o'clock. You've got the most listened to radio
- 33:40Speaker 2: show in America, Sean Hannity. Jesse Kelly at 6. Have
- 33:43Speaker 2: you listened to Jimmy Fallon? Go ahead, just listen to
- 33:46Speaker 2: Jimmy Fallon. You'll get hooked. It's a very funny show
- 33:49Speaker 2: every night, 9 to midnight, here on 710WOR. Marks them all, Mr.
- 33:55Speaker 2: New York.
- 33:56Speaker 6: Now three hours every weekday from 9 till noon on 710WOR.
- 34:04Speaker 2: Well, hey, it's three hours now. I start at 9
- 34:07Speaker 2: every morning, 9 o'clock till noon. It's three hours every day.
- 34:10Speaker 2: Bruce Blakeman, I always thought he was going to win,
- 34:12Speaker 2: but now he's got an even bigger advantage coming. I'll
- 34:15Speaker 2: explain what it is right after the news. We've got
- 34:19Speaker 2: a lot to get to. Stay here, and I'll be
- 34:21Speaker 2: back after the news on 710WOR.
