- 0:00Speaker 1: And good morning, audience.
- 0:01Speaker 2: Welcome, welcome, welcome. This is Rocky on.
- 0:04Speaker 1: 94.9 News Now Stimulating Talk.
- 0:07Speaker 3: Coming to you live, this glorious, beautiful, albeit still dark,
- 0:14Speaker 3: Thursday morning. I am happy to be here with you.
- 0:20Speaker 3: I trust you're sipping on your coffee or driving into work.
- 0:25Speaker 3: May it be a beautiful, productive day for you. And
- 0:29Speaker 3: if Kids are going to school. You know, the whole routine.
- 0:34Speaker 3: It's amazing how time goes by when you're having fun,
- 0:39Speaker 3: and we are having fun indeed. Today, I would like
- 0:47Speaker 3: to remember a young man, a man of conviction, a
- 0:53Speaker 3: man of character, a man taken away From us, from believers,
- 1:04Speaker 3: from patriots, way too, too young. 31 years old, a
- 1:11Speaker 3: year ago, September 10th, 2025, Charlie Kirk was assassinated.
- 1:20Speaker 1: Why? Why?
- 1:22Speaker 3: He had never harmed anybody. He never punched anybody. He
- 1:29Speaker 3: never kicked anybody. He never enticed anybody to do any violence.
- 1:38Speaker 3: And you see, I feel that way when I go
- 1:41Speaker 3: in front of city council, like Tuesday evening and last
- 1:45Speaker 3: night at the safety meeting.
- 1:47Speaker 2: For all of you who live in Norwich, Connecticut.
- 1:52Speaker 3: We have issues with our civic leaders. They ain't listening
- 1:58Speaker 3: to the will of the people. They don't care. But
- 2:03Speaker 3: God forbid should I ever, ever consider violence. It means,
- 2:12Speaker 3: it would mean that I don't believe in God. Because God,
- 2:17Speaker 3: Jesus Christ, my Lord and Savior, does not want me
- 2:21Speaker 3: to be violent. Now, make no mistake about it. Somebody
- 2:26Speaker 3: comes into my house to arm my family. Ain't going
- 2:29Speaker 3: to be pretty.
- 2:32Speaker 4: It ain't.
- 2:35Speaker 3: But for me to assert what I believe, to use my.
- 2:39Speaker 2: So Charlie Kirk, 31 years old.
- 2:43Speaker 3: Was taken out because, you see, a man of integrity,
- 2:49Speaker 3: a young man, old man, of any age, Is a threat.
- 2:56Speaker 5: To whom?
- 2:58Speaker 2: Why would you take a young man out. To assassinate.
- 3:04Speaker 2: To plot. Then we'll get into that a little bit.
- 3:10Speaker 6: Why?
- 3:13Speaker 2: Because.
- 3:15Speaker 7: Darkness.
- 3:16Speaker 2: Cannot.
- 3:18Speaker 1: Afford.
- 3:20Speaker 2: Even a flashlight. Even a candle.
- 3:22Speaker 3: Have you ever had. By the way, folks, I'm that old.
- 3:29Speaker 3: When I was a young man, sometimes we didn't have electricity.
- 3:33Speaker 3: I was born and raised in Italy. I did homework
- 3:37Speaker 3: with an oil lamp. Emergency, of course, but it's just
- 3:43Speaker 3: one light, one little flame. Have you ever done homework
- 3:47Speaker 3: when you're 10 years old? But even a little light
- 3:57Speaker 3: chases away darkness. Darkness cannot survive when the light is
- 4:04Speaker 3: shined upon. That's frankly why the elected official in Norwich,
- 4:10Speaker 3: or anywhere else for that matter, you've been seeing on YouTube.
- 4:14Speaker 2: It's happening everywhere.
- 4:17Speaker 3: The mayors, the wannabe bosses, they can't stand. Did you
- 4:22Speaker 3: know somebody in another municipality, just the other day I
- 4:26Speaker 3: saw it, I'm not sure where, the mayor, it's a lady,
- 4:32Speaker 3: mayor was giving some proclamation, some certificate, you know, the
- 4:35Speaker 3: little stupid little papers. Oh, you did such a good job.
- 4:40Speaker 3: And everybody was clapping. And somebody in the audience went, boo,
- 4:45Speaker 3: not even loud. I'm much louder when I speak at
- 4:48Speaker 3: the council.
- 4:50Speaker 1: Not even loud.
- 4:51Speaker 6: Boo.
- 4:53Speaker 1: The mayor had him arrested.
- 4:56Speaker 2: Wait a minute.
- 4:58Speaker 3: If people can clap because they are expressing their agreement
- 5:04Speaker 3: with whatever it is this proclamation or this certificate was given,
- 5:10Speaker 3: why can't somebody say boo? Because they can't handle.
- 5:15Speaker 2: Remember that movie?
- 5:16Speaker 3: You can't handle the truth.
- 5:19Speaker 1: They can't handle the truth. The guy wants to say boo.
- 5:26Speaker 3: Charlie Kirk was saying boo.
- 5:30Speaker 1: To wickedness. And somebody, and I'm not sure is this whatever,
- 5:39Speaker 1: it always.
- 5:41Speaker 3: It always amazes me how somebody always gets it. Somebody
- 5:48Speaker 3: else is thrown into the limelight like, oh, yeah, Oswald.
- 5:53Speaker 3: Thousands of pages of a commission of a study to
- 5:58Speaker 3: prove that Oswald was the lone shooter on the fifth
- 6:07Speaker 3: floor of the depository building. And the bullet went left in, out,
- 6:13Speaker 3: came in here, hit the thing there, went the other
- 6:17Speaker 3: way there. You are evil. There are forces of evil
- 6:26Speaker 3: that will not honor. They can't. They're not made up
- 6:32Speaker 3: that way. They're dark. They're wicked. They're demonic. That's my opinion.
- 6:42Speaker 3: And by the way, even in the, whatever happened to the,
- 6:47Speaker 3: there's no further investigation in the Butler shooting of attempt
- 6:51Speaker 3: assassination of President Trump.
- 6:54Speaker 6: Why?
- 6:54Speaker 8: They had his body, the shooter, body cremated the next morning,
- 7:02Speaker 8: scrubbed all the social media, whatever.
- 7:06Speaker 2: We don't know nothing. That's it. Like, the guy never existed.
- 7:10Speaker 2: But he did.
- 7:11Speaker 1: killed.
- 7:14Speaker 3: A fireman who protected his children and his wife. So
- 7:20Speaker 3: there's consequence. Anyway, I wanted to bring to your remembrance
- 7:23Speaker 3: that today, only a year ago, somebody who was so,
- 7:33Speaker 3: so honorable proved me wrong. He would debate anybody. I'm
- 7:41Speaker 3: not that generous. I don't want to talk to imbeciles.
- 7:46Speaker 3: I don't want to talk to wicked people. I don't
- 7:52Speaker 3: want to lower myself to that. And last night, Joseph DeLucia,
- 7:58Speaker 3: who the night before, when I went for three minutes, citizens,
- 8:03Speaker 3: we are the owners.
- 8:05Speaker 2: We're only given three minutes.
- 8:07Speaker 1: The whole time, this.
- 8:10Speaker 3: City Council pro temp. I mean, he's a big shot.
- 8:14Speaker 3: He's a big shot, you know. The whole time I spoke,
- 8:18Speaker 3: he had his eyes closed. And he said, I have
- 8:22Speaker 3: it on camera. They're defiant. They say, well, you have
- 8:29Speaker 3: the right to speak for three minutes, but I don't
- 8:31Speaker 3: care what you say.
- 8:33Speaker 1: I'm not going to listen. I'm not going to give any.
- 8:38Speaker 2: That you are even present.
- 8:42Speaker 3: They're defiant because they think they own this thing called America.
- 8:50Speaker 3: Not we, the people. They're supposed to be willing to serve.
- 8:57Speaker 6: They're not.
- 9:00Speaker 3: The governor of Connecticut, he's not serving anyone but himself,
- 9:04Speaker 3: his wife's.
- 9:05Speaker 1: Company, his.
- 9:09Speaker 2: investment accounts and these little cronies.
- 9:14Speaker 1: Mr.
- 9:14Speaker 3: Governor, you're doing such a great job. Things are great
- 9:19Speaker 3: in Connecticut. Things are great in Norwich. Have you been
- 9:23Speaker 3: to Norwich lately?
- 9:26Speaker 2: Now, why would you? I understand. Things are great.
- 9:31Speaker 1: Guy just got shot last week.
- 9:36Speaker 2: A police officer got arrested. Norwich police officer.
- 9:41Speaker 3: Of course, please understand, we're innocent until proven guilty. The
- 9:47Speaker 3: fact that he's been arrested, he didn't go to trial yet.
- 9:51Speaker 3: But the point is, we're dealing with.
- 9:54Speaker 2: Wickedness every single time. So what do we do? It's great.
- 10:04Speaker 1: Things are great. Joseph DeLucia is great. They're not.
- 10:14Speaker 3: They are not doing good for we, the common folk's
- 10:20Speaker 3: Maybe their little circle.
- 10:21Speaker 2: Maybe their little friends.
- 10:24Speaker 3: Maybe the ones that want to get into a, you know,
- 10:28Speaker 3: let me have this land or let me do this deal.
- 10:31Speaker 5: Maybe.
- 10:32Speaker 3: But ain't me. Ain't the majority of the common folks.
- 10:40Speaker 3: So anyways, Charlie Kirk, may God, the God of Israel,
- 10:44Speaker 3: rest you, embrace you on his bosom. You've been a
- 10:51Speaker 3: worthy warrior for truth, committed to Christ our King, and
- 11:03Speaker 3: you're not soon to be forgotten, and we will not
- 11:08Speaker 3: ever bow down to these wicked, wicked dark forces.
- 11:18Speaker 9: Never.
- 11:18Speaker 10: Never.
- 11:22Speaker 3: We proclaim one God under one nation. We who are
- 11:31Speaker 3: called by his name will not ever let you be
- 11:40Speaker 3: forgotten because the sacrifice of even one soul has to
- 11:46Speaker 3: make a difference, and indeed it is. And I don't
- 11:51Speaker 3: want to go into the new aspect of turning point.
- 11:56Speaker 3: Now it's all business. It's all glitter. It's all, what
- 12:00Speaker 3: do you call this, you know, flares on stage, whatever.
- 12:06Speaker 2: It don't matter.
- 12:08Speaker 3: Just please understand, the Apostle Peter called Simon, Shimon in Hebrew.
- 12:17Speaker 2: But Christ called him Peter, the rock. was a fisherman.
- 12:24Speaker 3: He had no theological degree. A simple man, a common man.
- 12:35Speaker 3: But Christ walking the shore of Galilee, he says, you,
- 12:39Speaker 3: follow me. Did he promise a 401k? Did he promise
- 12:43Speaker 3: a retirement account? As a matter of fact, no, what
- 12:47Speaker 3: he promised is He got executed years down the road.
- 12:53Speaker 2: But we are here.
- 12:56Speaker 3: We who believe will not condone, accept, go along. Anyone
- 13:07Speaker 3: who's wicked, anyone, anytime, I don't want to deal with you.
- 13:15Speaker 3: If you're a crook, If you're giving your soul to darkness,
- 13:22Speaker 3: it's your problem.
- 13:25Speaker 2: We'll expose you.
- 13:26Speaker 3: We'll stand against you because God cannot be defiled.
- 13:33Speaker 6: Anyways.
- 13:35Speaker 2: We'll take a short break. This is Rocky. 94.9 News

- 25:39Speaker 26: In prison and must pay restitution. A Jewett City resident

- 26:29Speaker 1: And good morning, audience.
- 26:30Speaker 2: Welcome back.
- 26:31Speaker 3: This is Rocky coming to you live this glorious Saturday morning.
- 26:36Speaker 3: This glorious Thursday morning. Folks, the caffeine didn't take in yet.
- 26:43Speaker 3: I got up at 413. And again, I want to
- 26:45Speaker 3: stress this point. When a friend, a good friend, a
- 26:50Speaker 3: honorable friend asks for favors....
- 26:54Speaker 2: If I can. Now, if I can't, I can't.
- 26:57Speaker 3: But if somebody who I consider a friend, and I
- 27:01Speaker 3: have many acquaintances, many hundreds of acquaintances, a few, very
- 27:08Speaker 3: few friends, I'm asked.
- 27:11Speaker 2: If I can do it, I'm there. No ifs, ands,
- 27:15Speaker 2: no questions. No, can you do this for me? No, nothing.
- 27:20Speaker 5: Boom.
- 27:21Speaker 35: Done.
- 27:23Speaker 2: Back to my little rant.
- 27:24Speaker 3: By the way, you can call in if you like.
- 27:29Speaker 2: 860-464-9490.
- 27:31Speaker 3: That's all you need to know. And if you want
- 27:34Speaker 3: to send me a short email, if there's something happening
- 27:36Speaker 3: in your neighborhood, RockyRadioShow at gmail.com. We've been on the
- 27:41Speaker 3: air on 94.9 over 11 years. Without me even asking.
- 27:49Speaker 3: It was just a contest that happened yesterday. And here
- 27:53Speaker 3: I am 11 years later. By the way, 9-11 is tomorrow.
- 27:57Speaker 22: 11?
- 27:57Speaker 3: How does that compute? 9-11, very briefly, on 9-11, I
- 28:06Speaker 3: was crossing the bridge from Groton to New London with
- 28:10Speaker 3: a station wagon. You remember those Mercury wagon? I had
- 28:14Speaker 3: three or four, three of them at least, if not four.
- 28:18Speaker 3: I would put the whole equipment in. lights, light stands,
- 28:23Speaker 3: light banks. I had to photograph, uh, an interior and
- 28:27Speaker 3: exterior of a, of a mansion of a beautiful home
- 28:33Speaker 3: crossing the bridge.
- 28:34Speaker 2: It was crystal clear.
- 28:38Speaker 3: Nine 11, 2001.
- 28:42Speaker 2: And I always listened at the time.
- 28:44Speaker 3: I was always listening, uh, eight 80.
- 28:47Speaker 2: From New York.
- 28:48Speaker 3: And all of a sudden, uh, The announcer said that
- 28:54Speaker 3: some tragic accident happened, and I flew from JFK and
- 28:59Speaker 3: landed at JFK, going back and forth to Rome, to Naples.
- 29:06Speaker 1: And when I was driving, it sounded as if it
- 29:09Speaker 1: was an accident.
- 29:10Speaker 3: The pilot made a mistake, and I said, you've got
- 29:13Speaker 3: to be kidding me.
- 29:15Speaker 1: It's a crystal clear day.
- 29:17Speaker 3: No pilot can ever make such a mistake, even if
- 29:21Speaker 3: it was some malfunction. There's no way. But that's what
- 29:27Speaker 3: they were saying. Of course, by the time the second
- 29:30Speaker 3: plane hit.
- 29:31Speaker 6: We all knew.
- 29:33Speaker 3: The tragedy that we were under attack. So anyways, to
- 29:36Speaker 3: all the souls, all the volunteers, the police department, the
- 29:40Speaker 3: emergency the firefighters that lost their life and been impacted
- 29:44Speaker 3: ever since to all the foreigners that lost their lives
- 29:49Speaker 3: and of course to the passengers and the crew of
- 29:52Speaker 3: the planes we shall never forget it it looks like
- 29:56Speaker 3: though some people already forgot it yeah It's almost like
- 30:04Speaker 3: we've got to go kicking and screaming to remind ourselves
- 30:10Speaker 3: that wickedness, evildoers are amongst us, within and without. So
- 30:21Speaker 3: to all of you who had some connection, lost a life,
- 30:26Speaker 3: somebody in New London, I believe they were on a plane,
- 30:32Speaker 3: It impacted a whole nation. By the way, there was
- 30:35Speaker 3: a moment of silence yesterday morning at the Veterans VFW
- 30:45Speaker 3: in Norwich, a moment of silence in memory of the
- 30:49Speaker 3: life lost, 9-11.
- 30:51Speaker 2: And afterwards, there was some discussion.
- 30:53Speaker 3: I said, I stood up to all the veterans that
- 30:57Speaker 3: were there and And I said, from the time, from
- 31:02Speaker 3: the Wright brothers' first flight, there was never, ever, in
- 31:09Speaker 3: a continent of the United States, which is massive, all
- 31:15Speaker 3: flights were grounded, all of them. It never happened before.
- 31:20Speaker 3: And by the grace of God, it'll never happen again.
- 31:24Speaker 3: Flights coming from Europe, from Asia, from South America. They
- 31:28Speaker 3: were all diverted. They didn't make it here. It was
- 31:32Speaker 3: just a catastrophe.
- 31:36Speaker 6: Why?
- 31:36Speaker 3: Because some evildoer had it in the heart to kill.
- 31:44Speaker 2: And let me remind you, and I've said this before,
- 31:48Speaker 2: there is one.
- 31:49Speaker 16: One.
- 31:53Speaker 3: There's one purpose in a life of demons, the devil himself,
- 31:59Speaker 3: to kill, to steal, and to destroy.
- 32:05Speaker 2: When you see killing and destruction, it's evil. It don't
- 32:13Speaker 2: matter who's doing it.
- 32:14Speaker 3: It don't matter what the reason. Indiscriminate killing.
- 32:22Speaker 5: Is evil.
- 32:25Speaker 3: And that's what they did on 9-11-2001. And tomorrow, it'll
- 32:29Speaker 3: be 25 years. And all those lives, souls, wasted for nothing.
- 32:39Speaker 3: Because some people had it.
- 32:41Speaker 2: In their hearts.
- 32:43Speaker 3: They want to destroy things.
- 32:46Speaker 2: Lives, livelihoods.
- 32:51Speaker 35: So.
- 32:54Speaker 3: 860-464-9490 if you want to call in. I'm only going
- 32:59Speaker 3: to be here for another 15 minutes and then I'm
- 33:04Speaker 3: going to go back home. I don't think I can
- 33:06Speaker 3: go to sleep after sipping a lot of coffee. I've
- 33:11Speaker 3: been awake since 4.13. And I made it here because,
- 33:16Speaker 3: you know, I'm apprehensive. I don't want to wake my wife.
- 33:19Speaker 3: Hopefully I snuck out without Dropping too many pots and
- 33:23Speaker 3: pans while I'm.
- 33:24Speaker 2: Trying to make a little breakfast. I mean, let's face it.
- 33:29Speaker 2: I'm kind of hopeless. I'm so spoiled.
- 33:33Speaker 3: But anyways, folks, as you're sipping your coffee, as you're
- 33:38Speaker 3: getting ready to go to work or bring the kids
- 33:41Speaker 3: to school, please know that God and his wisdom and
- 33:46Speaker 3: his grace and his mercy loves us.
- 33:51Speaker 2: But if we can, or wherever we can, we must stand.
- 33:59Speaker 1: We must.
- 34:01Speaker 3: It's not if you feel like it. We must stand against.
- 34:07Speaker 2: Evildoers.
- 34:09Speaker 3: There are people, and I don't have the time to
- 34:13Speaker 3: even get into the detail, but I just want to
- 34:15Speaker 3: ask questions.
- 34:17Speaker 2: Where's the Epstein's files? Where are they? They passed a law.
- 34:22Speaker 2: The president signed it.
- 34:24Speaker 3: The will of the people has been clear. The people
- 34:31Speaker 3: that did evil deeds on 14, 15, 16-year-olds.
- 34:38Speaker 2: Are still big shots. They're still doing their thing.
- 34:43Speaker 3: All you think of, listen, I've been a photographer in
- 34:48Speaker 3: August 11th, by the way, it's the 11th of August
- 34:51Speaker 3: of 1986. I have the certificate. Officially, I was in
- 34:57Speaker 3: business in the state of Connecticut, city of Norwich. It's been,
- 35:02Speaker 3: this August has been 40 years. We're going on my
- 35:05Speaker 3: 41st year. You know how many young ladies and even
- 35:09Speaker 3: a few young men, but mostly young ladies I photographed?
- 35:12Speaker 3: They wanted to be models. I always told their moms, Rocky,
- 35:17Speaker 3: what should I do? You know, I say, New York
- 35:21Speaker 3: is the best. It's the place to go for modeling,
- 35:27Speaker 3: for screening for a movie, for casting, but even Boston.
- 35:33Speaker 3: But my words to them was, wherever you want to
- 35:36Speaker 3: bring her, you go together and never let her out
- 35:39Speaker 3: of your sight. And they looked at me like, In
- 35:43Speaker 3: other words, if you're doing a model portfolio, you're in
- 35:47Speaker 3: the room, in the studio.
- 35:49Speaker 2: I had a studio. I sold the building.
- 35:51Speaker 3: I'm still upset about it because the city of Norwich,
- 35:54Speaker 3: it's what it is. But you go, she, you know,
- 35:59Speaker 3: of course, there's usually a sofa, a couch, a stool,
- 36:02Speaker 3: you sit down, and the photographer takes a picture. Don't
- 36:06Speaker 3: let the kid out of your sight.
- 36:09Speaker 1: Does it sound harsh?
- 36:11Speaker 2: There are wolves out there.
- 36:13Speaker 1: I knew. I know. But I didn't realize it was
- 36:18Speaker 1: that bad.
- 36:20Speaker 3: I didn't realize these poor kids that come from Eastern Europe,
- 36:25Speaker 3: they take them to Milan, they show them runways, they
- 36:29Speaker 3: do a couple of things. All of a sudden, they
- 36:31Speaker 3: come to the United States, their passports are taken away,
- 36:35Speaker 3: and then next thing you know, they do cocaine. Next
- 36:38Speaker 3: thing you know, they're in the Epstein Islands. You got
- 36:44Speaker 3: to be kidding me. Why do we have the FBI?
- 36:47Speaker 1: Tell me again why.
- 36:50Speaker 2: Why do we have a Justice Department?
- 36:52Speaker 3: Like that big shot in Florida when Epstein was first arrested?
- 36:58Speaker 2: What kind of a punishment was it?
- 37:03Speaker 1: Folks, this is evil.
- 37:06Speaker 2: Oh, but the Democrats, these are Republicans.
- 37:10Speaker 1: We don't talk about them. We don't?
- 37:15Speaker 2: So, in other words, if.
- 37:16Speaker 3: The Sicilian mafia or the Neapolitan Camorra or the Calabreses,
- 37:22Speaker 3: which they did, by the way, they melted a child
- 37:25Speaker 3: that they kidnapped, a 14-year-old kid.
- 37:28Speaker 1: They melt them in the chemicals. They disintegrated.
- 37:32Speaker 2: You think I'm okay with that? Because they're Italians? They're
- 37:37Speaker 2: from South Italy?
- 37:38Speaker 1: Are you kidding?
- 37:42Speaker 2: Stop with this Republican versus Democrat. Stop it!
- 37:48Speaker 3: It's a game they're playing. And they do whatever the
- 37:52Speaker 3: heck they want. Hollywood's doing it. The music industry's doing it.
- 38:02Speaker 3: And what's the excuse? Well, they're powerful. They're powerful. You can't,
- 38:09Speaker 3: you can't, you can't stand against that. So what you're
- 38:14Speaker 3: saying is we, the people don't count. And which is
- 38:16Speaker 3: exactly what's going on in Norwich.
- 38:20Speaker 1: Exactly. Joseph, the Lucia and his own little minions.
- 38:25Speaker 2: They close their eyes.
- 38:26Speaker 1: They're doodling. They're doodling while we're speaking. They're not paying attention.
- 38:37Speaker 1: They don't care.
- 38:38Speaker 3: They already decided. Because we, the taxpayer, we, the owners,
- 38:42Speaker 3: don't count. I beg to differ. And we'll stand and...
- 38:49Speaker 3: And that's why they can't... They can't function when there's pushback.
- 38:55Speaker 2: Let's go to Grace in Groton, Connecticut.
- 38:57Speaker 1: Good morning, Grace.
- 38:58Speaker 2: You're on the air. Good morning.
- 39:00Speaker 17: Okay.
- 39:01Speaker 37: Yes.
- 39:02Speaker 38: I want to tell you I appreciate what you're doing
- 39:04Speaker 38: right now.
- 39:04Speaker 4: Thank you.
- 39:05Speaker 3: And all the others.
- 39:06Speaker 38: Who have stepped up to the plate because of the
- 39:11Speaker 38: way it is right now.
- 39:12Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 39:13Speaker 38: And I know you are a real person because I
- 39:16Speaker 38: was in a play that King.
- 39:19Speaker 35: And I, the Norwich Art.
- 39:20Speaker 39: Council, put on years ago.
- 39:23Speaker 18: Yes.
- 39:24Speaker 38: And you took the photographs.
- 39:25Speaker 7: Yes.
- 39:26Speaker 2: Oh, my gosh.
- 39:27Speaker 40: You're a real person.
- 39:28Speaker 2: You're not A.I., I'm not AI.
- 39:31Speaker 1: Believe me.
- 39:33Speaker 3: Grace, was Scott there in that group at that time?
- 39:39Speaker 41: Of course.
- 39:39Speaker 6: Yes.
- 39:40Speaker 42: I'm pretty sure he was.
- 39:41Speaker 2: Oh, my gosh.
- 39:42Speaker 18: Yes.
- 39:44Speaker 2: Wonderful guy.
- 39:45Speaker 6: Thank you.
- 39:45Speaker 3: He's been involved with the smoke.
- 39:50Speaker 1: Yes, we had.
- 39:52Speaker 3: By the way, at the time, I was the only
- 39:54Speaker 3: studio that had my own processing. I would take the cast,
- 39:59Speaker 3: you know, the night before the first show, dress rehearsal.
- 40:05Speaker 2: Oh, yes, the dress rehearsal. We would take the group
- 40:08Speaker 2: of all the.
- 40:09Speaker 3: Crew and the actors, and I would print some long
- 40:15Speaker 3: and narrow pictures, and the next day, they were available.
- 40:19Speaker 3: So it was great times.
- 40:21Speaker 2: Thank you, Grace.
- 40:23Speaker 38: It was indeed.
- 40:24Speaker 42: So I didn't realize who you were when I started
- 40:27Speaker 42: listening to this program.
- 40:29Speaker 38: You were Rocky from Norwich, and I had no idea
- 40:32Speaker 38: what your real name was or who you really were.
- 40:35Speaker 2: It's Pietro.
- 40:35Speaker 3: Pietro is P-I-E-T-R-O. It's hard to pronounce, very hard to spell,
- 40:40Speaker 3: very hard to spell. But so for– Rocky means the
- 40:45Speaker 3: same thing, Rocky Rock.
- 40:47Speaker 2: So it's like.
- 40:48Speaker 3: A stage name. I was actually given that, and I
- 40:53Speaker 3: took it as my own. So Pietro Rocky, it's.
- 40:58Speaker 2: One and the same.
- 40:59Speaker 3: Oh.
- 40:59Speaker 38: Well, it seems very fitting.
- 41:02Speaker 2: Thank you, Grace.
- 41:04Speaker 42: Very fitting. Thank you.
- 41:05Speaker 38: I will leave on this note and carry on.
- 41:08Speaker 2: Very good. God bless you.
- 41:10Speaker 39: Be well.
- 41:11Speaker 2: Folks, I am so blessed.
- 41:15Speaker 3: They used to do the theatrical, The King and I,
- 41:18Speaker 3: and many other productions, and I was called upon, thanks
- 41:23Speaker 3: to friendships, to take pictures, Mostly of the group, there
- 41:29Speaker 3: was like 20, 30 cast and crew all in, you know,
- 41:35Speaker 3: the dress rehearsal. So they they had all their costumes.
- 41:38Speaker 3: And of course, in the days of film, please understand
- 41:41Speaker 3: the days of film. You had to have lights, powerful
- 41:44Speaker 3: strobes because. The negative, the film needed a lot of light.
- 41:49Speaker 3: Today with technology, with digital, you can shoot at 1600 ISO,
- 41:54Speaker 3: 800 ISO. In those days, it was 100 ISO. You
- 42:00Speaker 3: needed a blast of light. So I would bring all
- 42:03Speaker 3: this equipment and set up the shot, do the shot.
- 42:07Speaker 3: And Grace, thank you for bringing it to my remembrance. Folks,
- 42:14Speaker 3: God is good.
- 42:16Speaker 43: If you look back at your life, I don't care
- 42:19Speaker 43: how old you are, I don't care where you are,
- 42:20Speaker 43: where you've been, to all those veterans that I enjoy
- 42:26Speaker 43: having a coffee with, John, Rich, his brother Richie, all
- 42:30Speaker 43: bunch of people, Tom, it.
- 42:33Speaker 1: Is a blessing.
- 42:36Speaker 3: We got to count our blessing. Life is so frail,
- 42:42Speaker 3: is so.
- 42:44Speaker 5: Fleeting.
- 42:46Speaker 3: That we must take hold of what blessings we have.
- 42:52Speaker 3: And last Saturday, Andy, Andrea called in from Salem. I
- 42:57Speaker 3: had not spoken to him for years. He's also a
- 43:01Speaker 3: very good photographer, him and his wife, and now this
- 43:04Speaker 3: kids and he's long retired.
- 43:07Speaker 2: He's enjoying life. He just called in.
- 43:09Speaker 3: Cause I was talking about the days of film photography,
- 43:13Speaker 3: which we were both, um, In at the time.
- 43:18Speaker 2: And it's a blessing.
- 43:21Speaker 3: To know people. To have been. Having fun with different things.
- 43:28Speaker 3: What can I tell you? Tomorrow we'll celebrate 25 years.
- 43:35Speaker 3: 25 years since that moment. That morning.
- 43:40Speaker 2: It was just a tragic. Tragic.
- 43:46Speaker 3: Event for humanity in general it's always a tragedy when
- 43:54Speaker 3: senseless killing sure they had their reasons or whatever but
- 44:00Speaker 3: what did they accomplish really think.
- 44:03Speaker 2: About it what kill steal and destroy.
- 44:09Speaker 3: But the devil has his days counted i don't know
- 44:12Speaker 3: when i don't know how.
- 44:14Speaker 2: It's gonna happen But I ain't going.
- 44:17Speaker 3: To be in charge of this world when King Jesus,
- 44:23Speaker 3: the King of Kings returns.
- 44:25Speaker 2: Again, I'm not a preacher. I'm not a pastor. I'm
- 44:30Speaker 2: a believer. That's my qualification. I believe with all my heart.
- 44:36Speaker 44: And.
- 44:37Speaker 2: By the way, this Monday was Labor Day.
- 44:40Speaker 3: The family, we were at Arknest Park with the church
- 44:44Speaker 3: family having a picnic, and I had brought my one camera,
- 44:49Speaker 3: a couple of lenses, and I went on my own
- 44:51Speaker 3: for a little.
- 44:51Speaker 2: Bit, maybe 35 minutes. I took pictures of flowers.
- 44:56Speaker 3: You know, Arknest at the mansion on the side.
- 44:59Speaker 2: There's a beautiful.
- 45:00Speaker 45: Folks, do you know how majestic God's creation is. Have
- 45:09Speaker 45: you ever seen the flowers and the butterflies and the bees.
- 45:15Speaker 2: Taking over, going in and going out?
- 45:17Speaker 3: You think that the beauty of the flowers, the precise design,
- 45:26Speaker 3: the color, the shades, some of the velveting, velvet, like
- 45:32Speaker 3: they feel like there's a, you know, there's a velvet.
- 45:36Speaker 2: You think that just happened?
- 45:39Speaker 46: It just, bang, zoom, two cells hit together, and there
- 45:44Speaker 46: is a majestic design, a pattern, colors, vivacious.
- 45:53Speaker 7: Colors.
- 45:57Speaker 3: I studied to be an engineer when I was a
- 45:59Speaker 3: young man. As a matter of fact, 50 years ago,
- 46:02Speaker 3: this time, I was in uniform in the Italian Navy.
- 46:06Speaker 2: 50 years.
- 46:07Speaker 3: I graduated my maritime academy in the end of July.
- 46:15Speaker 3: And two months later, I was in uniform for 18 months.
- 46:22Speaker 3: There is no way that this life of ours is
- 46:28Speaker 3: just an accident.
- 46:30Speaker 2: It's precision. It's artistry. It's scientific. The universe rolls.
- 46:40Speaker 3: You know how we can predict the comets will last
- 46:44Speaker 3: come here.
- 46:45Speaker 2: We won't see them in another 300 years.
- 46:48Speaker 3: It is just majestic, and we praise God, the God
- 46:51Speaker 3: of Israel, always. May God... Bless you all. May God
- 46:58Speaker 3: continue to bless these United States of America.
- 47:05Speaker 5: Ciao.

- 55:03Speaker 26: Ryan Fitzgibbons used organization funds for personal expenses and concealed
- 55:09Speaker 26: the thefts. He faces up to 20 years in prison
- 55:12Speaker 26: and must pay restitution. A Jewett City resident won $ 1

- 58:00Speaker 37: each other, never hesitate Straight shooter sergeant walking tall.
- 58:09Speaker 2: In New London.
- 58:11Speaker 50: He's known by all tales of old school charm. A
- 58:15Speaker 50: steadfast name in the city streets. He carved his fame.
- 58:24Speaker 2: His fame.
- 58:30Speaker 1: Good morning, everybody. A little change here. My name is
- 58:33Speaker 1: Todd Lynch.
- 58:34Speaker 36: I usually do Wednesdays from 7 to 7.30, but I'll
- 58:39Speaker 36: be filling in on your Thursday morning here from 7
- 58:42Speaker 36: to 9 on 94.9 News Now and Stimulating Talk. Once
- 58:47Speaker 36: I get up and going here, we will take phone
- 58:49Speaker 36: calls at 860-464-9490. As always, we try to ask you
- 58:51Speaker 36: a little bit to stay on topic. I want to
- 58:59Speaker 36: talk about wine in Australia while we're talking about law
- 59:02Speaker 36: enforcement and things like that. But we will be open-minded
- 59:07Speaker 36: and listen to you. Again, my name is Todd Lynch.
- 59:09Speaker 36: and I always like to start off by, for the
- 59:12Speaker 36: people that aren't used to hearing me on Thursdays, give
- 59:15Speaker 36: a little background. As a former law enforcement officer, I
- 59:18Speaker 36: always found it weird to go into a training situation,
- 59:21Speaker 36: and no pun intended because I'm sitting in Ledgerd, but
- 59:25Speaker 36: listen to a Ledgerd police officer tell me about, you know, gangs.
- 59:28Speaker 40: Well.
- 59:29Speaker 1: What do you know about gangs? So why are you
- 59:31Speaker 1: listening to me this morning?
- 59:34Speaker 36: I was born and raised in the city of New London,
- 59:37Speaker 36: which I love very much, even though you'll hear some
- 59:39Speaker 36: things which may doubt that during the show. Grew up
- 59:43Speaker 36: in an inner-city housing project, was raised by a single
- 59:46Speaker 36: mother who did an outstanding job. I was educated in
- 59:50Speaker 36: elementary school at the former Edgerton School, which is now,
- 59:54Speaker 36: for those of you who know where that is, across
- 59:56Speaker 36: the street from McDonald's on Coleman Street, is now a
- 59:58Speaker 36: boarded-up mess. went down to Nathan Hale Elementary School, on
- 1:00:02Speaker 36: to New London Junior High, and finished up at New
- 1:00:07Speaker 36: London High School. From there, I began my law enforcement
- 1:00:12Speaker 36: career before going to college as a special, back then
- 1:00:16Speaker 36: it was a special deputy sheriff within the New London
- 1:00:19Speaker 36: County Sheriff's Department, and that was between the Part A
- 1:00:24Speaker 36: courthouse on Huntington Street, the Part B courthouse.
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: On Broad Street, and the Norwich Courthouse.
- 1:00:30Speaker 36: So I learned, we'll get into a little bit later
- 1:00:34Speaker 36: on about court issues, but I learned a little bit
- 1:00:37Speaker 36: about transporting prisoners to and from court. You got a
- 1:00:42Speaker 36: firsthand look about someone, a defendant, how they acted in
- 1:00:46Speaker 36: a courtroom, and then when you brought them back down
- 1:00:49Speaker 36: to the cell block, how they showed their true colors
- 1:00:51Speaker 36: on how they really were. I also worked in the
- 1:00:55Speaker 36: arraignment court in both Norwich and New London, and that's
- 1:00:58Speaker 36: when You got a firsthand look at people being brought
- 1:01:02Speaker 36: in after spending the night at a local or state
- 1:01:05Speaker 36: police barracks. And, you know, a bond was set. They
- 1:01:09Speaker 36: were arraigned in front of a judge. It's kind of
- 1:01:11Speaker 36: your first court experience when you're arrested. And then from there,
- 1:01:16Speaker 36: I got a great deal of experience on courtroom activity, trials, and,
- 1:01:24Speaker 36: you know, how it goes actually in front of a
- 1:01:26Speaker 36: judge personally. when you're going in front of a 12-person jury,
- 1:01:31Speaker 36: both the prosecution and defense, fighting on the fact of
- 1:01:36Speaker 36: whether their client is guilty or innocent. From there, I
- 1:01:40Speaker 36: went to the Connecticut State Police Academy when I was
- 1:01:43Speaker 36: hired as a state trooper. I had a vast amount
- 1:01:46Speaker 36: of different responsibilities through my career. I was assigned to
- 1:01:51Speaker 36: Troop K in Colchester as well as Troopy in Montville.
- 1:01:55Speaker 36: I was a member of the Fugitive Task Force, a
- 1:01:58Speaker 36: member of the Bureau of Criminal Investigation.
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: I was assigned to the Emergency Services Unit.
- 1:02:04Speaker 36: I was also the resident state trooper in East Lyme
- 1:02:07Speaker 36: twice and ledgered once and probably best known for my
- 1:02:11Speaker 36: canine handling of my first canine partner, Uriah. I went
- 1:02:15Speaker 36: on to be promoted to sergeant and again went back
- 1:02:18Speaker 36: to Colchester and then Montville. And I ended up my
- 1:02:23Speaker 36: career as the commanding officer of the state police canine unit.
- 1:02:27Speaker 36: So it kind of gives you, and at the end
- 1:02:30Speaker 36: of that New London career, I went on to New
- 1:02:33Speaker 36: London Police Department, and I was probably best known for
- 1:02:37Speaker 36: 10 years as union president, which got me a spot
- 1:02:40Speaker 36: on this show. As a New London police officer, I
- 1:02:43Speaker 36: brought my second canine, Jasper, there, spent the better part
- 1:02:47Speaker 36: of my career in the patrol division canine unit, And
- 1:02:50Speaker 36: at the conclusion of my career, I was in the
- 1:02:54Speaker 36: vice and intelligence section, which basically is narcotics, guns, things
- 1:02:59Speaker 36: like that. So I kind of bring a vast knowledge
- 1:03:04Speaker 36: of different things. With my union experience, I had a
- 1:03:09Speaker 36: lot of dealings with non-police issues, where it's discipline, negotiations
- 1:03:15Speaker 36: and contracts and benefits, dealing with people that are terminated.
- 1:03:20Speaker 36: dealing on a daily basis with the administration, whether it's
- 1:03:22Speaker 36: the police administration or the city administration. You're literally dealing
- 1:03:26Speaker 36: on a daily basis with city councillors and the mayor's office.
- 1:03:30Speaker 36: So you were involved in politics also. So it gave
- 1:03:34Speaker 36: me a vast knowledge of the working issues of the
- 1:03:38Speaker 36: city of New London as well as politics. So we're
- 1:03:41Speaker 36: going to start off there and get right into the
- 1:03:46Speaker 36: show itself.
- 1:03:47Speaker 6: I have a.
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: A couple shout-outs.
- 1:03:51Speaker 36: First, Officer Bob Yuknik from the Waterford Police Department for
- 1:03:58Speaker 36: many years, and then went on to the Waterford slash
- 1:04:02Speaker 36: Eastline Animal Control Division, announced his well-deserved retirement. So I
- 1:04:06Speaker 36: want to wish Bob, who I worked with over the years,
- 1:04:09Speaker 36: a happy retirement. The unfortunate part of it is Bob
- 1:04:13Speaker 36: is battling cancer. So after all he's done for the community,
- 1:04:19Speaker 36: I've given Bob a shout-out this morning, praying for a recovery.
- 1:04:24Speaker 36: And while I don't have the exact information, I'm the
- 1:04:28Speaker 36: worst computer person in the world, Bob also has a
- 1:04:31Speaker 36: GoFundMe page, and I would urge everyone to look that
- 1:04:35Speaker 36: up and donate to Bob because he gave so much
- 1:04:38Speaker 36: to the community and, again, wish him and his family
- 1:04:41Speaker 36: well in his retirement.
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: Also, Dickie Beers, who....
- 1:04:49Speaker 36: Who I know, and I know people are eating their
- 1:04:52Speaker 36: breakfast this morning, so I'll go easy, but Dickie pumped
- 1:04:56Speaker 36: out your septic system for over 30 years, so he's
- 1:05:00Speaker 36: a better man than me, but announced his retirement. He,
- 1:05:05Speaker 36: I don't want to say worked on my septic system,
- 1:05:07Speaker 36: but emptied me out many years, and I wish Dickie well,
- 1:05:11Speaker 36: a prominent family in East Lyme, and again, The Beers
- 1:05:18Speaker 36: family is going to keep the services, but I wish
- 1:05:20Speaker 36: Dickie a great retirement over there in East Lyme. We
- 1:05:25Speaker 36: also lost a good man who I knew, again, back
- 1:05:29Speaker 36: in the Sheriff's Department days in Gilberto Torres. Gil was
- 1:05:34Speaker 36: one of the ones that sometimes in law enforcement or
- 1:05:36Speaker 36: even the Sheriff's Department, when you start, I was a
- 1:05:38Speaker 36: young kid.
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: I was a teenager.
- 1:05:40Speaker 36: I was 18 years old and going into the cell
- 1:05:43Speaker 36: block with people like Michael Ross who was fighting the
- 1:05:45Speaker 36: death sentence in a I walk in there and most
- 1:05:48Speaker 36: people shun you as this young kid doesn't know what
- 1:05:50Speaker 36: he's doing, which was pretty accurate. And Gil was one
- 1:05:53Speaker 36: of the ones that would put his arm around you
- 1:05:55Speaker 36: and say, kid, follow me. I'll teach you things, which
- 1:05:58Speaker 36: he did. He was also at one point a New
- 1:06:00Speaker 36: London police officer, had a great Mexican restaurant on Jefferson Avenue,
- 1:06:05Speaker 36: and unfortunately he passed away. So again, my condolences go
- 1:06:10Speaker 36: out to the family of Gilberto Torres and friends. Gil
- 1:06:15Speaker 36: was a great person and a mentor to me early
- 1:06:17Speaker 36: in my law enforcement career.
- 1:06:20Speaker 1: Let's start off again.
- 1:06:23Speaker 36: I'm replacing Rocky here in the morning, and that's a
- 1:06:26Speaker 36: tough seat to follow for those of you who listen
- 1:06:29Speaker 36: to Rocky. I don't want to shame anyone, but you
- 1:06:33Speaker 36: can take the noose off your neck and cut the
- 1:06:34Speaker 36: rope down. We're going to liven it up a little bit.
- 1:06:38Speaker 36: And we're going to go right into something, and people
- 1:06:40Speaker 36: that are listening on the audio– won't see me, but
- 1:06:45Speaker 36: those of you listening on video, whether you think I
- 1:06:47Speaker 36: look foolish or not, I'm in my red, white, and
- 1:06:50Speaker 36: blue commemorative 9-11 attire, sunglasses and all, because tomorrow is 9-11.
- 1:06:58Speaker 36: And for those of you that were, well, we can
- 1:07:00Speaker 36: say now alive at that time, but certainly anyone that
- 1:07:04Speaker 36: was working in law enforcement knows what that day means
- 1:07:09Speaker 36: to first responders, public safety, And I unfortunately was working
- 1:07:15Speaker 36: that day. Some things hopefully will be brought up tomorrow
- 1:07:19Speaker 36: on that. But that's why my attire with my red,
- 1:07:22Speaker 36: white and blue sweatshirt and sunglasses is right on. But
- 1:07:26Speaker 36: we're going to jump into something that I have friends
- 1:07:30Speaker 36: on both sides of this. So somebody is canceling me
- 1:07:34Speaker 36: out of their family picnic after this segment. But it's
- 1:07:37Speaker 36: the conclusion of something that's been going on way too long.
- 1:07:41Speaker 1: And it's the YouTuber.
- 1:07:43Speaker 36: Who I'm going to, because I can't swear on the
- 1:07:45Speaker 36: air here, I'm going to just call the idiot. I
- 1:07:47Speaker 36: don't want to put someone's name on that doesn't deserve it.
- 1:07:51Speaker 36: But I'll give you the Reader's Digest version. This idiot,
- 1:07:56Speaker 36: a YouTube personality, and I'll use the personality word gently,
- 1:08:02Speaker 36: had an ongoing, I'll call it a feud, with a
- 1:08:05Speaker 36: friend of mine. I'll put that out there, a friend
- 1:08:06Speaker 36: of mine, retired Sergeant Brian Fahey from the Connecticut State Police,
- 1:08:10Speaker 36: former New London police officer. And Brian and this idiot
- 1:08:14Speaker 36: had a tit-for-tat going back and forth where this idiot
- 1:08:18Speaker 36: would go back and forth and try to get Brian's goat.
- 1:08:24Speaker 36: They had several, let's just say, they went back and
- 1:08:29Speaker 36: forth a little bit. And one of those incidents caused
- 1:08:35Speaker 36: Brian to be transferred from his duty station up to headquarters.
- 1:08:39Speaker 36: There was another confrontation, I'll call them, I guess. with
- 1:08:42Speaker 36: this idiot and Brian up at state police headquarters. Now,
- 1:08:46Speaker 36: he gets Brian, you know, because of his actions, moved
- 1:08:49Speaker 36: from his station at Montville up to state police headquarters,
- 1:08:52Speaker 36: has another confrontation with him, you know, so he's trying
- 1:08:55Speaker 36: to get his goat. he you know there is no
- 1:08:57Speaker 36: friendship here there is no I want to meet and
- 1:09:00Speaker 36: talk to this person so you know and then it
- 1:09:03Speaker 36: ended up in a lawsuit so Brian Fahey at home.
- 1:09:07Speaker 1: With his family one day.
- 1:09:10Speaker 36: Gets a knock on the door and this idiot is
- 1:09:14Speaker 36: at an off-duty state troopers front door And this is
- 1:09:21Speaker 36: important to me and should be known. And I'm going
- 1:09:24Speaker 36: to take my glasses off because I have to read
- 1:09:26Speaker 36: and these are awful dark. But this idiot knew Brian
- 1:09:32Speaker 36: Fahey or his family wanted nothing to do with him
- 1:09:35Speaker 36: at his house.
- 1:09:36Speaker 1: It was a private driveway. It was posted no trespassing.
- 1:09:40Speaker 7: He's home.
- 1:09:41Speaker 1: He's off duty.
- 1:09:42Speaker 36: It's not like there's a confrontation again at a state
- 1:09:45Speaker 36: police barracks or even at a store.
- 1:09:47Speaker 1: You're at Stop and Shop or somewhere in public.
- 1:09:49Speaker 36: This is at his home with his family there while
- 1:09:54Speaker 36: he's off duty, and this idiot goes to his front door,
- 1:09:58Speaker 36: so he says, to confront him about overtime. This is
- 1:10:01Speaker 36: not Ann Nyberg from Channel 8, a respected reporter that's
- 1:10:06Speaker 36: going there to get a story. This is someone who, again,
- 1:10:09Speaker 36: it's important to know, Brian and his family doesn't want
- 1:10:13Speaker 36: him there. He knows that walking up to that front door.
- 1:10:16Speaker 36: He's a felon, a convicted felon. He's with another male
- 1:10:21Speaker 36: and going to his front door. And the long and
- 1:10:24Speaker 36: short of it is, you've probably seen the video, there's
- 1:10:27Speaker 36: a confrontation in the front yard, in Brian Fahey's front yard.
- 1:10:34Speaker 36: And this idiot is now on his property. And here's
- 1:10:39Speaker 36: where I'll go, and again, this will get people's panties
- 1:10:43Speaker 36: in a bunch, and so be it. But after the confrontation,
- 1:10:50Speaker 36: the idiot is arrested, and rightfully so.
- 1:10:53Speaker 1: He's got a.
- 1:10:53Speaker 36: Box truck in front of Brian's driveway with pictures of Brian,
- 1:10:58Speaker 36: and he's looking for this. He's not looking for an
- 1:11:03Speaker 36: honest interview as a respected member of the media. He's
- 1:11:06Speaker 36: looking for exactly what he's got. He's got a problem.
- 1:11:10Speaker 36: He's got his face out there. He's got a little
- 1:11:14Speaker 36: publicity out of it. But here's where I go, and
- 1:11:17Speaker 36: people within, again, I have to cut through Groton Town
- 1:11:21Speaker 36: to get out of here today, but it is what
- 1:11:22Speaker 36: it is. The Groton Town Police Department decides— their best move,
- 1:11:30Speaker 36: and this is the powers to be, who, again, some
- 1:11:33Speaker 36: of them are friends of mine. Someone makes the decision
- 1:11:37Speaker 36: that the best move to make is an arrest warrant
- 1:11:40Speaker 36: also for Brian Fahey, and there's some accusation about spit
- 1:11:44Speaker 36: or something, and they're going to do an arrest warrant
- 1:11:48Speaker 36: for Brian Fahey, a former New London police officer, at
- 1:11:52Speaker 36: the time a current sergeant with the Connecticut State Police,
- 1:11:56Speaker 36: for something that someone created at his home. And I
- 1:12:01Speaker 36: can tell you, and I don't mind because the statute
- 1:12:03Speaker 36: of limitations is probably over now, I've had several incidents
- 1:12:07Speaker 36: when I was a law enforcement officer where people came
- 1:12:10Speaker 36: to my house for, I'll just say, a criminality.
- 1:12:14Speaker 1: They weren't there to befriend me.
- 1:12:17Speaker 36: And if Brian Fahey got arrested for what I saw
- 1:12:19Speaker 36: in the video, from what I did to these people
- 1:12:22Speaker 36: when they came to my house in front of my
- 1:12:24Speaker 36: family for crimes, I would have gotten the electric chair.
- 1:12:28Speaker 36: And I'll just tell you, if you come onto my
- 1:12:31Speaker 36: property because I'm a law enforcement officer off duty with
- 1:12:35Speaker 36: my family to create a problem, you're.
- 1:12:38Speaker 1: Going to get one. And that's exactly what this guy did.
- 1:12:41Speaker 36: So the people within the Groton Town Police Department, it's
- 1:12:44Speaker 36: not everyone, this is not, I have friends there, this
- 1:12:47Speaker 36: is not the whole agency, but the people who are
- 1:12:50Speaker 36: responsible for for making that decision to arrest a fellow
- 1:12:54Speaker 36: law enforcement officer, I'll tell you one thing. You were
- 1:12:57Speaker 36: looking out for yourself and not for a fellow colleague.
- 1:13:03Speaker 1: And I want to let you know that. And I'll
- 1:13:05Speaker 1: tell you this.
- 1:13:07Speaker 36: What Brian Fahey ended up getting, the same thing, arrested, processed,
- 1:13:11Speaker 36: had to go to court, pleaded guilty for something.
- 1:13:14Speaker 1: And again, Brian's a friend of mine.
- 1:13:15Speaker 5: I wouldn't.
- 1:13:16Speaker 36: I would have taken a trial. Brian decided not to.
- 1:13:19Speaker 36: The guy, the idiot, got the same thing. So who
- 1:13:22Speaker 36: really won? He won because he wanted to get arrested.
- 1:13:25Speaker 36: He wanted to get his picture in the paper. He
- 1:13:28Speaker 36: wanted notoriety. He went to trial. He made a fool
- 1:13:31Speaker 36: of himself at the trial with pictures of the prosecutor
- 1:13:33Speaker 36: and the judge. So it's disgusting. And I'll end it
- 1:13:37Speaker 36: on this before I get into something before we go
- 1:13:40Speaker 36: to break. The prosecution or the prosecutors in the court system,
- 1:13:44Speaker 36: you ought to be embarrassed, too. Whatever happened to prosecution discretion?
- 1:13:49Speaker 36: Many times I sent warrants out, and you denied them
- 1:13:52Speaker 36: with probable cause.
- 1:13:53Speaker 1: And you have that right. Why didn't you deny this one?
- 1:13:55Speaker 1: You know why? Because the idiot would have been a
- 1:13:58Speaker 1: pain in your neck. And that's disgusting.
- 1:14:00Speaker 36: Because there was a time when I was a New
- 1:14:02Speaker 36: London police officer running the union. A New London police officer,
- 1:14:06Speaker 36: while at the Waterford Police Department, assaulted someone handcuffed to
- 1:14:09Speaker 36: the wall. And you use that discretion not to arrest
- 1:14:12Speaker 36: that person. In my mind, he was found guilty in
- 1:14:15Speaker 36: an internal investigation. If you're going to arrest Brian Fahey,
- 1:14:18Speaker 36: how don't you arrest that guy who assaulted someone handcuffed?
- 1:14:21Speaker 36: So that's my story about my friend Brian Fahey and
- 1:14:25Speaker 36: a YouTube. Before we go to break, and I want
- 1:14:28Speaker 36: you to listen to this song after I say this,
- 1:14:31Speaker 36: but several of my friends listened to this show, and
- 1:14:34Speaker 36: they were canine handlers. And recently, the Eastline Police Department said,
- 1:14:39Speaker 36: and Officer Chris Duby had to put down K-9 Cooper.
- 1:14:43Speaker 36: And this little song, listen, I'll tell people that were
- 1:14:46Speaker 36: K-9 handlers or animal people, listen to the words of
- 1:14:48Speaker 36: this song. You probably want to get a tissue next
- 1:14:51Speaker 36: to you, but this is just a little remembrance from
- 1:14:55Speaker 36: former and current K-9 handlers to the people that lost
- 1:15:00Speaker 36: their dogs. And if it wasn't the best part of
- 1:15:02Speaker 36: your career being a K-9 handler, you did it the
- 1:15:04Speaker 36: wrong way.
- 1:15:34Speaker 18: I still remember the day you came in.
- 1:15:40Speaker 15: Wild eyes for the fight, ready to win.
- 1:15:46Speaker 5: You stood right beside me, no fear, no doubt.
- 1:15:53Speaker 15: From that day forward, we figured it out.
- 1:15:59Speaker 5: We ran through the.
- 1:16:02Speaker 14: Fire.
- 1:16:03Speaker 9: We bled in the dirt.
- 1:16:05Speaker 51: You had my six when the whole world hurt.
- 1:16:11Speaker 6: Every mile we covered, every battle we faced.
- 1:16:18Speaker 14: You gave me your all, never.
- 1:16:20Speaker 51: Asked for a place And it feels like heaven is.
- 1:16:23Speaker 5: Far from me Now.
- 1:16:25Speaker 14: That you're gone, the world feels so cold Have you
- 1:16:57Speaker 14: again gone away?
- 1:17:00Speaker 50: Gone away.
- 1:17:02Speaker 6: You still got slower. Your muzzle turned gray.
- 1:17:07Speaker 5: But you still tried.
- 1:17:09Speaker 20: To lead me every damn day.
- 1:17:19Speaker 5: I told you good boy, try not.
- 1:17:21Speaker 14: To break within.
- 1:17:23Speaker 5: Last night I sat with you under cold stars.
- 1:17:26Speaker 22: Hand on your head, both covered in scars.
- 1:17:39Speaker 14: You looked at me calm like you already knew. hardest
- 1:17:55Speaker 14: thing I'd ever have to do. No tears in the field.
- 1:18:01Speaker 14: That's not how we roll.
- 1:18:02Speaker 4: You taught me to.
- 1:18:03Speaker 51: Stand even when I lost control. You did your time,
- 1:18:07Speaker 51: gave it Now you're running free. And I'm still proud
- 1:18:16Speaker 51: as hell, my lad.
- 1:18:17Speaker 14: And it feels like heaven is far from me. Now
- 1:18:27Speaker 14: that you're gone, the world feels so cold. I still
- 1:18:39Speaker 14: have you looking Gone away.
- 1:18:40Speaker 6: But I still stand.
- 1:19:00Speaker 14: Good boy. See you again someday.

- 1:26:52Speaker 26: And we're brought to you by Charter Oak Federal Credit Union,
- 1:26:55Speaker 26: where members bank better. Well, at last night's NFL kickoff game,
- 1:27:00Speaker 26: Drake May of the Patriots had a terrible, horrible, no good,
- 1:27:03Speaker 26: very bad day on Wednesday. He and the Patriots were
- 1:27:06Speaker 26: in Seattle facing the defending Super Bowl champs on the
- 1:27:09Speaker 26: road to kick the season off.
- 1:27:11Speaker 6: And once again, it was the Seahawks who prevailed.
- 1:27:14Speaker 26: Winning 13-10, despite losing their starting quarterback Sam Darnold on
- 1:27:18Speaker 26: the opening drive of the game. However, it was the
- 1:27:21Speaker 26: 2025 NFL MVP runner-up Drake May who ended up as
- 1:27:24Speaker 26: the butt of all the jokes. That's because he threw
- 1:27:27Speaker 26: not one, not two, but three interceptions on the evening,
- 1:27:30Speaker 26: which helped seal it. the Patriots' fate. And if that
- 1:27:33Speaker 26: weren't bad enough for the Patriots, their number one receiver
- 1:27:36Speaker 26: and top offseason acquisition, A.J. Brown left the game with
- 1:27:40Speaker 26: an ankle injury and didn't return. Not the start to
- 1:27:43Speaker 26: the season that the Patriots were hoping for. With more
- 1:27:46Speaker 26: than just a score, I'm Fish on Sports. Sunny, warm, breezy,
- 1:27:53Speaker 26: and beautiful today on our Thursday.
- 1:27:55Speaker 6: Good morning, I'm David Fish.
- 1:27:56Speaker 26: Well, recent reports show that about half of Connecticut's students
- 1:28:01Speaker 26: passed the state's annual physical fitness assessment despite recent improvement.
- 1:28:06Speaker 26: Experts say that more daily activity could improve students' health, attention,
- 1:28:11Speaker 26: and and overall academic performance. A 63-year-old man was arrested
- 1:28:16Speaker 26: minutes after allegedly robbing a Willimantic credit union Wednesday morning.
- 1:28:20Speaker 26: Police say that Maurice Archie Jr. Wing had stolen cash
- 1:28:25Speaker 26: but showed no weapon. He was arrested and held on
- 1:28:28Speaker 26: a $ 150, 000 bond. A Killingly man pleaded guilty yesterday to
- 1:28:33Speaker 26: stealing more than $ 775, 000 from nonprofits in Wyndham and Middlefield.
- 1:28:39Speaker 26: Prosecutors say that 44-year-old Ryan Fitzgibbons used organization funds for
- 1:28:45Speaker 26: personal expenses and concealed the thefts.
- 1:28:48Speaker 6: He faces up to 20 years.
- 1:28:49Speaker 26: In prison and must pay restitution. A Jewett City resident
- 1:28:54Speaker 26: won $ 1 million from a scratch ticket purchased at one
- 1:28:57Speaker 26: shop convenience in Plainfield. After federal taxes, the winner still
- 1:29:02Speaker 26: will receive about $ 690, 000.
- 1:29:03Speaker 6: Nice win.
- 1:29:05Speaker 26: Mystic Aquarium released two rehabilitated sea turtles at Wooskanoo Beach
- 1:29:11Speaker 26: in Mesquamican on Wednesday. Both Penelope and Sprout were treated
- 1:29:16Speaker 26: after being found cold stunned on Cape Cod with injuries
- 1:29:19Speaker 26: and infections. They're both better now, and hopefully they'll find
- 1:29:22Speaker 26: their way back home. Have a great day today. I'm
- 1:29:25Speaker 26: David Fish, and when news breaks, we break in.
- 1:29:30Speaker 36: Welcome back to 94.9 News Now and Stimulating Talk. I'm
- 1:29:34Speaker 36: Todd Lynch. I'm here until 9 o'clock in the morning.
- 1:29:38Speaker 36: The lines or the phone lines are open. Feel free
- 1:29:41Speaker 36: to give us a call on any of the subjects
- 1:29:43Speaker 36: we are talking about or something similar. 860-464-9490. The board
- 1:29:46Speaker 36: is open, so if you want to chat, give us
- 1:29:48Speaker 36: a call on this day before 9-11 when.
- 1:29:59Speaker 36: I hope everyone's patriotism is high. Mine certainly is with
- 1:30:02Speaker 36: this outfit I'm wearing. But as we ended the last
- 1:30:06Speaker 36: segment on the court system and prosecution, I know some
- 1:30:11Speaker 36: of my friends in the court system are probably listening today,
- 1:30:14Speaker 36: both current and retired.
- 1:30:17Speaker 1: So I won't be going to lunch with them anytime soon.
- 1:30:20Speaker 6: But here we go.
- 1:30:22Speaker 1: Recently, I read about a woman.
- 1:30:27Speaker 36: Who robbed a New London bank a while back, 46-year-old woman,
- 1:30:34Speaker 36: and was sentenced to robbing a bank. Now, let's get
- 1:30:39Speaker 36: that straight. You didn't go in and steal a pack
- 1:30:42Speaker 36: of gum from Cumberland Farms. You robbed a bank. And
- 1:30:47Speaker 36: the person, the individual, and I'm not going to give
- 1:30:50Speaker 36: the names of the suspects here because they don't deserve it, really.
- 1:30:55Speaker 36: But this female, 46 years old, she's not a kid,
- 1:30:58Speaker 36: went in to rob a bank and was arrested. Great
- 1:31:02Speaker 36: job by the New London Police Department. And was sentenced
- 1:31:05Speaker 36: to 30 months in jail. Now, I went to New
- 1:31:07Speaker 36: London High, so my math is a little off. But
- 1:31:09Speaker 36: I believe that's two and a half years for robbing
- 1:31:11Speaker 36: a bank. So two and a half years for anyone
- 1:31:13Speaker 36: that knows the criminal justice system means you'll probably be
- 1:31:16Speaker 36: out in a year, whether it's good time or early
- 1:31:19Speaker 36: release from the far left liberals that are pushing people
- 1:31:23Speaker 36: back onto the streets.
- 1:31:24Speaker 1: That committed crimes. But here's what struck me.
- 1:31:30Speaker 36: The judge said that he noted the lesser sentence because
- 1:31:39Speaker 36: of the difficult upbringing of the suspect. So in other words,
- 1:31:46Speaker 36: the suspect got a shorter sentence for Because.
- 1:31:51Speaker 1: Of a poor upbringing.
- 1:31:53Speaker 36: Now, again, I don't wish a bad upbringing on anybody. I, again,
- 1:31:58Speaker 36: was raised by a single mother, a great, wonderful person
- 1:32:01Speaker 36: who gave everything, a great family, and I had a
- 1:32:04Speaker 36: good upbringing.
- 1:32:06Speaker 1: So are you telling me anyone like me or the.
- 1:32:09Speaker 36: Listeners out there that had a good upbringing is going
- 1:32:11Speaker 36: to get more of a sentence because you get a
- 1:32:14Speaker 36: lesser sentence if you have a bad upbringing?
- 1:32:17Speaker 1: Are you kidding me?
- 1:32:19Speaker 36: It's almost like an Obama phone or free cheese or
- 1:32:24Speaker 36: if you're a millionaire, the far left wants to get–
- 1:32:27Speaker 36: they want to take your money and give to the
- 1:32:29Speaker 36: people that are bums and don't want to work. Is
- 1:32:33Speaker 36: society making it where if you are doing less at
- 1:32:40Speaker 36: your own doing– you had bad upbringing, you had bad
- 1:32:42Speaker 36: choices– You're getting better results in the criminal justice system
- 1:32:47Speaker 36: because of a poor upbringing. And if someone got raised,
- 1:32:50Speaker 36: whether a silver, I didn't certainly didn't. I came again
- 1:32:52Speaker 36: from an inner city housing project. You're going to get
- 1:32:57Speaker 36: you're going to get a harsher sentence because you had
- 1:33:00Speaker 36: a good upbringing.
- 1:33:01Speaker 1: I mean, come on. It's just ridiculous. And we have
- 1:33:05Speaker 1: someone on the line.
- 1:33:06Speaker 36: We'll continue on the court system after the caller, but
- 1:33:10Speaker 36: we'll welcome the caller now.
- 1:33:14Speaker 6: Hello, you're on.
- 1:33:18Speaker 1: Hello, you there?
- 1:33:20Speaker 19: Hello, is this Todd?
- 1:33:21Speaker 1: This is Todd.
- 1:33:23Speaker 44: Hey, I'm an ex-classmate of yours back in the Whalerville days, man.
- 1:33:26Speaker 39: I just wanted to say one thing.
- 1:33:28Speaker 54: We're all very proud of you.
- 1:33:30Speaker 33: You've had a tremendous career, and I wish I'd followed you, man.
- 1:33:35Speaker 4: You did so well, and we're.
- 1:33:36Speaker 39: Very proud of you, Todd.
- 1:33:38Speaker 36: I'll say one thing. I appreciate it very much. I
- 1:33:41Speaker 36: recognize the voice. You were an all right basketball player,
- 1:33:45Speaker 36: but you could never play with us, but I very
- 1:33:47Speaker 36: much appreciate it.
- 1:33:49Speaker 4: Yeah, you got it, and.
- 1:33:50Speaker 39: That's pretty good that you know the voice, Ben. I
- 1:33:52Speaker 39: appreciate you remembering, Ben.
- 1:33:54Speaker 38: I'll let you go.
- 1:33:55Speaker 4: You got a shoulder to run, but I always listen
- 1:33:56Speaker 4: to you when you show.
- 1:33:57Speaker 42: Up in the summertime when you come down.
- 1:34:00Speaker 39: I always listen to you.
- 1:34:01Speaker 36: No, I appreciate that, and I want to say one thing,
- 1:34:02Speaker 36: because you were a similar person to me, and a
- 1:34:06Speaker 36: lot of the city is different from when we went
- 1:34:08Speaker 36: to school.
- 1:34:08Speaker 1: You know that.
- 1:34:10Speaker 9: Correct.
- 1:34:10Speaker 1: But you know what? And you know our friend Juan
- 1:34:13Speaker 1: always says the same thing. I went to high school.
- 1:34:16Speaker 36: I was one of the fortunate ones who had a car,
- 1:34:18Speaker 36: if you call a Ford Pinto a car. And in
- 1:34:20Speaker 36: my car was another white guy, a Hispanic guy, and
- 1:34:24Speaker 36: a black guy.
- 1:34:25Speaker 7: But you know what?
- 1:34:26Speaker 1: And you know this. We didn't look at it like that.
- 1:34:30Speaker 9: We were all.
- 1:34:30Speaker 36: Whalers, and we didn't look at race or who was heavy,
- 1:34:34Speaker 36: who was skinny.
- 1:34:35Speaker 1: We were all whalers. We were all brothers and sisters,
- 1:34:38Speaker 1: and you knew that.
- 1:34:39Speaker 39: That's right, and I come from the other part of
- 1:34:41Speaker 39: the town.
- 1:34:42Speaker 42: Where that was really in effect, and you know what?
- 1:34:45Speaker 4: I wouldn't change a thing, man.
- 1:34:46Speaker 44: I have lifelong friends, and it taught.
- 1:34:48Speaker 56: Me a lot, and I'm who I am today because
- 1:34:51Speaker 56: of it.
- 1:34:52Speaker 44: But I wanted to thank you, bro. Keep up the
- 1:34:54Speaker 44: good work.
- 1:34:55Speaker 1: I appreciate it.
- 1:34:56Speaker 36: And 100%, one other thing before you go, in my
- 1:34:59Speaker 36: career in law enforcement, the best thing I ever learned
- 1:35:03Speaker 36: from coming from New London, where a lot of my
- 1:35:06Speaker 36: fellow troopers and officers didn't know, is diversity.
- 1:35:09Speaker 1: Because you know what? Color didn't mean anything to me.
- 1:35:13Speaker 4: None of us, bro. Back then, none of us.
- 1:35:15Speaker 35: It was a great time.
- 1:35:16Speaker 42: And yeah, I'm very proud to be where I'm from, man.
- 1:35:20Speaker 54: So thanks again, Todd.
- 1:35:21Speaker 1: I appreciate you, and I look forward to seeing you.
- 1:35:23Speaker 1: Thank you for the call.
- 1:35:26Speaker 36: I'm going to get back to the court system a
- 1:35:28Speaker 36: little bit before we take our next break. And for
- 1:35:31Speaker 36: those of you that listen to me regularly on Wednesdays,
- 1:35:35Speaker 36: 7 o'clock to 730, which, by the way, is a
- 1:35:39Speaker 36: lot easier to do than two hours.
- 1:35:41Speaker 1: But we talked about an individual last time.
- 1:35:45Speaker 36: And I'm only going to say the name because I
- 1:35:47Speaker 36: try not to. But this is something we went over.
- 1:35:49Speaker 36: A man by the name of Mr. Ramos who was
- 1:35:51Speaker 36: arrested over and over. And we went over his record,
- 1:35:55Speaker 36: how many times he was arrested. And just what is
- 1:35:59Speaker 36: funny but sad, what struck me, my last show on Wednesday,
- 1:36:03Speaker 36: we went over.
- 1:36:03Speaker 1: This person getting arrested numerous, numerous times.
- 1:36:08Speaker 36: By the time I was supposed to come on the
- 1:36:10Speaker 36: following Wednesday, he was arrested again for violation of probation.
- 1:36:15Speaker 36: And it, it, it goes into where I'm going to
- 1:36:17Speaker 36: next is at what point do people stay in jail?
- 1:36:20Speaker 1: At what point are you a danger to society?
- 1:36:23Speaker 36: And in saying that new London police, again, with another
- 1:36:28Speaker 36: excellent job, I'm going to slide off my, uh, rainbow red, white,
- 1:36:32Speaker 36: and blue, not rainbow. I don't want to get the
- 1:36:33Speaker 36: people excited in London, my red, white, and blue glasses. Um,
- 1:36:37Speaker 36: A person who, again, I arrested numerous times when I
- 1:36:41Speaker 36: was there. I retired in 2021, was arrested with a
- 1:36:45Speaker 36: ghost gun, you know, foot chase, the fight, the whole bit.
- 1:36:49Speaker 36: And it just shows this individual, again, not going to
- 1:36:52Speaker 36: say his name, was arrested also February 1 by the
- 1:36:57Speaker 36: city police in Groton for several felony counts of running
- 1:37:00Speaker 36: a drug factory. So you're arrested in running a drug
- 1:37:02Speaker 36: factory in February.
- 1:37:05Speaker 1: And in August, you're arrested again for a gun. What
- 1:37:07Speaker 1: are you out for?
- 1:37:09Speaker 36: And again, records show that he was sentenced to six
- 1:37:11Speaker 36: and a half years in prison, followed by five years
- 1:37:14Speaker 36: of probation for first degree robbery and home invasion in 2017.
- 1:37:20Speaker 36: He was also charged earlier this year in 2026 after
- 1:37:25Speaker 36: getting out with violation of probation.
- 1:37:29Speaker 1: At what point is enough enough? At what point does.
- 1:37:34Speaker 36: The far left say this person should not get out
- 1:37:38Speaker 36: or people should not continue to get out over and
- 1:37:42Speaker 36: over again? And I'm all for giving people examples of
- 1:37:46Speaker 36: another chance. Sometimes you're out of chances. And this, again,
- 1:37:51Speaker 36: person is out of chances. You're a danger to society. Guns, drugs,
- 1:37:57Speaker 36: a drug factory, violation of probation, fighting with the cops.
- 1:38:01Speaker 36: When is enough enough that, you know, this no bail,
- 1:38:05Speaker 36: put him back on the street for what?
- 1:38:07Speaker 1: To harm other people? I mean, this is ridiculous.
- 1:38:12Speaker 36: And before we got a couple of minutes before we
- 1:38:14Speaker 36: go to break another one where it's a case I
- 1:38:17Speaker 36: worked on, Beth Carpenter, who basically, um, hired her boyfriend
- 1:38:25Speaker 36: to have him hire someone to kill her brother-in-law, which
- 1:38:29Speaker 36: happened on the Rocky Neck Connector. She fled after that,
- 1:38:33Speaker 36: I think, to Ireland, and it was a murder for hire.
- 1:38:36Speaker 36: She hired people to kill her brother-in-law so they could
- 1:38:39Speaker 36: get custody, basically, of the child. And now, again, Beth
- 1:38:43Speaker 36: Carpenter wants to get life in prison now, wants to
- 1:38:47Speaker 36: get out.
- 1:38:48Speaker 1: And get an early release.
- 1:38:51Speaker 36: Well, is the brother-in-law that was murdered, shot to death,
- 1:38:55Speaker 36: run over on the Rocky Neck connector, is.
- 1:38:57Speaker 1: He getting an early release or an early wake-up? No,
- 1:39:00Speaker 1: he's dead.
- 1:39:01Speaker 36: Why do these people think, you know, you took a life?
- 1:39:05Speaker 36: And I said this before on the show. Can you
- 1:39:08Speaker 36: imagine someone, we talked about Jared's package store, that both
- 1:39:11Speaker 36: people that robbed, shot, and killed Jared, Can you imagine
- 1:39:15Speaker 36: being a family member and you're in line at Stop
- 1:39:17Speaker 36: and Shop and the person that murdered your family member
- 1:39:21Speaker 36: is just out there shopping, smoking, joking, drinking.
- 1:39:26Speaker 1: Hanging out, and your relative is obviously still dead. What
- 1:39:30Speaker 1: are we doing?
- 1:39:32Speaker 36: Are the people, the animals that killed Dr. Pettit's family,
- 1:39:36Speaker 36: are they going to get out someday?
- 1:39:38Speaker 1: Are you kidding?
- 1:39:39Speaker 36: The people that slaughtered and killed a whole family in Griswold?
- 1:39:44Speaker 36: The two people, are they just going to at some
- 1:39:45Speaker 36: point get out? When do we lock people up that
- 1:39:50Speaker 36: on purpose now, this isn't an accident, on purpose take
- 1:39:53Speaker 36: the life of someone else? When is that person going
- 1:39:57Speaker 36: to be incarcerated and not get out? I'm going to
- 1:40:01Speaker 36: go in before we go to break. I'm going to
- 1:40:04Speaker 36: touch a little bit on my friends from the Waterford
- 1:40:07Speaker 36: Police Department who did an outstanding job, and it's something
- 1:40:11Speaker 36: I always thought should be concentrated on a little more.
- 1:40:16Speaker 1: What they did, basically, is someone sold fentanyl.
- 1:40:19Speaker 36: And anyone that's selling fentanyl to someone, it's like selling
- 1:40:21Speaker 36: someone a gun that's going to use it.
- 1:40:24Speaker 1: You take fentanyl, and the risk to death is high.
- 1:40:27Speaker 36: And the Waterford police did a great job at arresting, again,
- 1:40:31Speaker 36: not going to say the name, arresting an individual who
- 1:40:34Speaker 36: sold fentanyl that led to the overdose death of a
- 1:40:38Speaker 36: 23-year-old Duncasville man. And the Waterford police did an outstanding
- 1:40:43Speaker 36: job of finding out who it was that sold the drugs.
- 1:40:47Speaker 1: Because you know what?
- 1:40:48Speaker 36: You put the death weapon by selling that toxic material
- 1:40:53Speaker 36: into the hands of the 23 year old.
- 1:40:55Speaker 1: Did the 23 year old take it on his own?
- 1:40:57Speaker 6: Yes.
- 1:40:58Speaker 1: But you are responsible for that.
- 1:41:01Speaker 36: And they did an outstanding job on linking back this person.
- 1:41:06Speaker 36: And the person is now arrested for manslaughter. So a
- 1:41:09Speaker 36: great job by the Waterford Police Department. And again, we
- 1:41:13Speaker 36: don't do that enough for people that are selling poison
- 1:41:16Speaker 36: to people. And again, when you're selling fentanyl, you know
- 1:41:21Speaker 36: that the very likelihood is if someone ingests this, it's
- 1:41:26Speaker 36: not going to be good. At the very least, you're
- 1:41:28Speaker 36: probably going to need Narcan to bring them back. But
- 1:41:31Speaker 36: on the other end of that, you're probably going to
- 1:41:34Speaker 36: kill someone. So you're selling poison to people, and you
- 1:41:37Speaker 36: should be held responsible. Before we go to break, I
- 1:41:41Speaker 36: want to read something again from the Waterford Police Department
- 1:41:44Speaker 36: that a youth— I' m going to call him a youth, but
- 1:41:47Speaker 36: a man— was left injured after a confrontation with the
- 1:41:51Speaker 36: Waterford Police Department.
- 1:41:53Speaker 1: And now this.
- 1:41:54Speaker 36: Person's mother— and I think this is a minor— But this
- 1:41:58Speaker 36: person's mother is suing the Waterford Police Department for $ 50
- 1:42:01Speaker 36: million for excessive force. This person, again, someone that's known
- 1:42:06Speaker 36: to me, this juvenile, is out of control, wasn't living
- 1:42:10Speaker 36: at home, couldn't be controlled at home, is running around,
- 1:42:16Speaker 36: creating havoc, creating crime, had outstanding warrants, and the Waterford
- 1:42:21Speaker 36: Police Department, doing their due diligence, caught up with them
- 1:42:24Speaker 36: on a dirt bike. And they tried to stop him.
- 1:42:27Speaker 36: He attempted to flee. And in putting him into custody,
- 1:42:30Speaker 36: he was injured. And now the mother, who can't control
- 1:42:35Speaker 36: her son, brought this person into the world. And it's
- 1:42:40Speaker 36: now up to the Waterford Police Department to raise your son,
- 1:42:45Speaker 36: to tell your son what's right and wrong. You couldn't
- 1:42:48Speaker 36: do it. You couldn't control him. You couldn't stop him
- 1:42:51Speaker 36: from creating crime. So it's up to them. Now the
- 1:42:54Speaker 36: Waterford police has to stop him on this crime spree,
- 1:42:58Speaker 36: on this criminal element to society, another dirt bike thing
- 1:43:02Speaker 36: that we always do. Maybe the Waterford police should sue
- 1:43:05Speaker 36: the mother for bringing a child into the world.
- 1:43:08Speaker 1: That you can't control.
- 1:43:10Speaker 36: Because I can tell you when I grew up, when
- 1:43:13Speaker 36: the people I knew grew up, our families controlled us.
- 1:43:16Speaker 36: If I had a run-in with law enforcement, the least
- 1:43:19Speaker 36: thing I could worry about was the law enforcement. I
- 1:43:22Speaker 36: was much more worried when I got home and what
- 1:43:25Speaker 36: the ramifications were then. If you had a dance coming up,
- 1:43:28Speaker 36: a prom, you were going to a game, a wrestling match, whatever,
- 1:43:32Speaker 36: you weren't going.
- 1:43:34Speaker 1: And now the parents want the police to be everything.
- 1:43:39Speaker 36: So kudos to the Waterford police who locked the person up,
- 1:43:42Speaker 36: had to use force. And I'm going to end at
- 1:43:45Speaker 36: this because, as the wonderful Chris Rock always says, if
- 1:43:50Speaker 36: you don't want to get injured, if you don't want
- 1:43:53Speaker 36: to get shot, if you don't want a problem with
- 1:43:55Speaker 36: the police department, I got a little recommendation for you.
- 1:44:00Speaker 1: Give up.
- 1:44:02Speaker 19: Have you ever been face to face with a police
- 1:44:04Speaker 19: officer and wondered, is he about to kick my ass? Well,
- 1:44:09Speaker 19: wonder no more. If you follow these easy tips, you'll
- 1:44:13Speaker 19: be fine. First, obey the law. Laws were made for
- 1:44:18Speaker 19: a reason. Think of them as hints. You've heard people say, man,
- 1:44:22Speaker 19: I wouldn't do that if I was you. Well, here's
- 1:44:25Speaker 19: some of that. Carjacking, armed robbery, arson, selling drugs, buying drugs, stabbing, shooting.
- 1:44:32Speaker 19: You know, you probably won't get your ass kicked if
- 1:44:35Speaker 19: you just use common sense. If you jump a subway turnstile,
- 1:44:40Speaker 19: you might just get off with a warning from the police.
- 1:44:43Speaker 19: But if you jump a turnstile carrying a loaded gun
- 1:44:45Speaker 19: and smoking a joint, then maybe.
- 1:44:48Speaker 11: You need your ass kicked.
- 1:44:54Speaker 39: We all know what happened to Rodney King.
- 1:44:56Speaker 19: But Rodney wouldn't have gotten an ass kicked if he
- 1:44:58Speaker 19: had just followed this simple tip. When you see flashing
- 1:45:01Speaker 19: police lights in your mirror, stop immediately. Everybody knows, if
- 1:45:06Speaker 19: the police have to come and get you, they're bringing
- 1:45:09Speaker 19: an ass kicking with them.
- 1:45:14Speaker 5: Here's a no-brainer.
- 1:45:15Speaker 19: If you're listening to loud rap music, turn that s *.
- 1:45:19Speaker 9: * * off.
- 1:45:20Speaker 19: When an officer approaches your car, be polite.
- 1:45:23Speaker 1: Is there a problem, officer? And stay in your car with.
- 1:45:28Speaker 19: Your hands on the wheel. Now, before you let your
- 1:45:33Speaker 19: friend in your car, ask them these questions. Do you
- 1:45:36Speaker 19: have a gun? Do you have drugs?
- 1:45:38Speaker 5: Do you have any warrants?
- 1:45:41Speaker 19: And in case you do get pulled over by the cops.
- 1:45:43Speaker 5: License and registration, please.
- 1:45:45Speaker 19: Remind your friend to do this one thing.
- 1:45:48Speaker 1: Shut the f * * * up.
- 1:45:54Speaker 19: Here's a tip you should never forget. If your woman
- 1:45:57Speaker 19: is mad at you, leave her at home. Because a
- 1:46:00Speaker 19: mad woman will say anything.
- 1:46:02Speaker 9: He got weed!
- 1:46:03Speaker 14: He got weed!
- 1:46:05Speaker 19: If your woman is mad at you, there's nothing she'd
- 1:46:08Speaker 19: like to see more than you getting your ass kicked.
- 1:46:12Speaker 5: Good view. Obey the law.
- 1:46:15Speaker 19: Use common sense. Stop immediately. Turn that s * *
- 1:46:18Speaker 19: * off.
- 1:46:19Speaker 3: Be polite.
- 1:46:20Speaker 19: Shut the f * * * up.
- 1:46:22Speaker 1: Get a white friend.
- 1:46:23Speaker 19: And last but not least, don't ride with a mad woman.
- 1:46:27Speaker 19: If you follow these simple pointers, you probably won't get
- 1:46:30Speaker 19: your ass kicked.

- 1:56:46Speaker 6: Sunny, warm, breezy, and beautiful today on our Thursday. Good morning,
- 1:56:50Speaker 6: I'm David Fish.
- 1:56:51Speaker 26: Well, recent reports show that about half of Connecticut's students
- 1:56:55Speaker 26: passed the state's annual physical fitness assessment despite recent improvement.
- 1:57:00Speaker 26: Experts say that more daily activity could improve students' health, attention.
- 1:57:05Speaker 6: And and overall academic performance.
- 1:57:08Speaker 26: A 63-year-old man was arrested minutes after allegedly robbing a
- 1:57:13Speaker 26: Willimantic credit union Wednesday morning. Police say that Maurice Archie Jr.
- 1:57:17Speaker 26: Wing had stolen cash but showed no weapon. He was
- 1:57:21Speaker 26: arrested and held on a $ 150, 000 bond. A Killingly man
- 1:57:23Speaker 26: pleaded guilty yesterday to stealing more than $ 775, 000 from nonprofits
- 1:57:25Speaker 26: in Wyndham and Middlefield.
- 1:57:26Speaker 6: Prosecutors say that 44-year-old.
- 1:57:36Speaker 26: Ryan Fitzgibbons used organization funds for personal expenses and concealed
- 1:57:42Speaker 26: the thefts. He faces up to 20 years in prison
- 1:57:45Speaker 26: and must pay restitution. A Jewett City resident won $ 1

- 1:57:57Speaker 26: about $ 690, 000.
- 1:57:58Speaker 6: Nice win.
- 1:58:01Speaker 26: Mystic Aquarium released two rehabilitated sea turtles at Wooskanoo Beach
- 1:58:06Speaker 26: in Mesquamican on Wednesday. Both Penelope and Sprout were treated
- 1:58:11Speaker 26: after being found cold stunned on Cape Cod with injuries
- 1:58:14Speaker 26: and infections. They're both better now and hopefully they'll find
- 1:58:17Speaker 26: their way back home. Have a great day today. I'm
- 1:58:20Speaker 26: David Fish and when news breaks, we break in.
- 1:58:30Speaker 5: Yo, VIP.
- 1:58:32Speaker 51: Let's kick it.
- 1:58:34Speaker 22: Ice, ice, baby. Ice, ice, baby.
- 1:58:41Speaker 1: All right, stop. Collaborate and listen. Ice is back with
- 1:58:45Speaker 1: my brand new invention.
- 1:58:46Speaker 11: Something grabs a hold of me.
- 1:58:47Speaker 6: Welcome back.
- 1:58:48Speaker 36: I'm Todd Lynch, and this is 94.9 News Now and
- 1:58:52Speaker 36: Stimulating Talk.
- 1:58:53Speaker 1: Again, the phone lines are open if you want to call.
- 1:58:56Speaker 1: 860- 844-464-9490.
- 1:59:01Speaker 36: And the phone should light up because I have all
- 1:59:05Speaker 36: the Monday morning quarterbacks. When I leave the studio, my
- 1:59:08Speaker 36: phone's going to ring 35 times on things that people
- 1:59:11Speaker 36: wanted to say or you should have said this or
- 1:59:14Speaker 36: they're going to say, if I called in, I would have, well,
- 1:59:16Speaker 36: call in. You know, put on your big boy pants
- 1:59:18Speaker 36: and give us a call. The next thing, we're going
- 1:59:21Speaker 36: to go and continue down the path of law enforcement
- 1:59:25Speaker 36: and opposite from the far left socialists. And we're going
- 1:59:29Speaker 36: to talk about ICE, hence the ICE ICE baby coming
- 1:59:34Speaker 36: on the song before we came in.
- 1:59:36Speaker 1: And here's what I don't understand.
- 1:59:39Speaker 36: The governor, Ned Lamont, made the statement that he wants
- 1:59:45Speaker 36: ICE out of Connecticut. Well, you don't want your local
- 1:59:49Speaker 36: and state police officers assisting them or doing any job
- 1:59:52Speaker 36: that ICE does.
- 1:59:53Speaker 1: So who's going to.
- 1:59:55Speaker 36: Remove the illegal immigrants? And I say that. With illegal
- 2:00:00Speaker 36: immigrants in mind, they're not here legally. So I don't
- 2:00:05Speaker 36: understand why you would want. And I'm all for someone
- 2:00:09Speaker 36: that crosses the border, comes here legally.
- 2:00:13Speaker 1: God bless you.
- 2:00:14Speaker 36: I hope you, you know, have the American dream, but
- 2:00:18Speaker 36: do it the right way. So from Lamont to say
- 2:00:21Speaker 36: ICE should be out of Connecticut.
- 2:00:24Speaker 1: Give me a break.
- 2:00:25Speaker 36: And I said this before in the air, and those
- 2:00:27Speaker 36: of you that watch the news or see what's going
- 2:00:29Speaker 36: on in Danbury and watch the ICE officers with their
- 2:00:33Speaker 36: masks on, removing people that are here illegally, I told
- 2:00:38Speaker 36: you so. The far left passed a law that the
- 2:00:43Speaker 36: federal ICE agents can no longer wear masks.
- 2:00:46Speaker 1: How'd that work out for you? You have no reason,
- 2:00:50Speaker 1: no way to enforce it.
- 2:00:52Speaker 36: A local police or state police is not going to
- 2:00:55Speaker 36: enforce a law against a federal officer for doing their job, period.
- 2:00:59Speaker 36: So why are you wasting your breath? Why are you
- 2:01:02Speaker 36: wasting your time? And the word is politics. That's the
- 2:01:05Speaker 36: reason why. So, you know, I don't understand why you
- 2:01:11Speaker 36: would want people that came here illegally to stay. And
- 2:01:14Speaker 36: for the thoughts to be, well, you know, like in Danbury.
- 2:01:20Speaker 36: People in our community aren't even going out to Main
- 2:01:22Speaker 36: Street anymore. Well, if you're here illegally and ICE are
- 2:01:26Speaker 36: going to pick you up, yeah, I'd stay home too.
- 2:01:29Speaker 36: But for me, if I lived in Danbury, I'm going
- 2:01:31Speaker 36: to go to Main Street. They're not going to bother
- 2:01:32Speaker 36: me any because I'm here legally.
- 2:01:34Speaker 1: So what's the worry?
- 2:01:36Speaker 36: And then it's upsetting the kids at the bus stop.
- 2:01:39Speaker 36: And I don't mean to pick on my hometown. I
- 2:01:41Speaker 36: went over my resume of where I came from. So
- 2:01:44Speaker 36: I think I have the right to say, and coming
- 2:01:47Speaker 36: from my last year's advice and intelligence in New London, hey, buddy,
- 2:01:51Speaker 36: go to the bus stops in some of the bad
- 2:01:53Speaker 36: areas in New London. You want to see the drug dealing?
- 2:01:56Speaker 36: You want to see the homeless bums laying there drinking?
- 2:01:58Speaker 36: You want to see the prostitutes right next to the
- 2:02:00Speaker 36: bus stop? Is that okay? The far left isn't mentioning that.
- 2:02:05Speaker 36: That's okay around the bus stop? But the illegal immigrant
- 2:02:09Speaker 36: that's being picked up and removed from the country because
- 2:02:12Speaker 36: they're illegally and no one mentions the crime they commit,
- 2:02:16Speaker 36: whether it's rape, murder or whatever. Some of these illegal immigrants,
- 2:02:19Speaker 36: I'm saying they're all bad people, but come here the
- 2:02:21Speaker 36: right way. And the other issue I have is when
- 2:02:25Speaker 36: they say, well, you're taking these people away from their kids.
- 2:02:28Speaker 36: Ask any law enforcement officer how many times they've arrested
- 2:02:31Speaker 36: someone that has their kid there. Go to a domestic.
- 2:02:35Speaker 36: You have to arrest mother or father. They're leaving, even
- 2:02:38Speaker 36: if the kids are there. Stop someone for drunk driving
- 2:02:40Speaker 36: with a kid in the car. They're going to get arrested.
- 2:02:43Speaker 36: It happens every day.
- 2:02:44Speaker 1: But you know what?
- 2:02:45Speaker 36: It's not politically correct to say that because they want
- 2:02:49Speaker 36: to harp on the ICE issue. So, again, I told
- 2:02:53Speaker 36: you so about ICE. Nothing you can do about masks.
- 2:02:57Speaker 36: I'm all for the ICE people rounding people up. And
- 2:03:00Speaker 36: if that means illegal immigrants aren't going to Home Depot
- 2:03:03Speaker 36: every morning, they aren't going to Main Street, so be it.
- 2:03:07Speaker 1: Follow the rules, and you can be here.
- 2:03:10Speaker 36: With that, we're going to take some calls because the
- 2:03:12Speaker 36: board is lighting up.
- 2:03:17Speaker 7: Go ahead.
- 2:03:17Speaker 6: You're on.
- 2:03:19Speaker 4: Hey, Todd.
- 2:03:19Speaker 3: Good morning.
- 2:03:20Speaker 6: Hey, Coach.
- 2:03:22Speaker 39: How you doing?
- 2:03:23Speaker 1: Thanks for saving me.
- 2:03:24Speaker 39: Listen, I don't know if I'm saving you, but, you know,
- 2:03:27Speaker 39: what you're saying is exactly correct. And we've become a microcosm,
- 2:03:32Speaker 39: even in the schools of the woke, the left, you know,
- 2:03:36Speaker 39: to give them a do-over, give them a thousand chances,
- 2:03:38Speaker 39: you know. And as far as ICE goes, when I
- 2:03:41Speaker 39: hear Tong and Lamont and, you know, ICE better stay out,
- 2:03:45Speaker 39: they better do this, guess what? They don't have any
- 2:03:48Speaker 39: authority to say anything. The feds come in here, they'll
- 2:03:51Speaker 39: do what they want, and Tong and Lamont and the
- 2:03:54Speaker 39: rest of them, they're going to have to like it.
- 2:03:56Speaker 8: That's all.
- 2:03:57Speaker 36: Coach, you know what it, coaches, like I said, coaches,
- 2:04:00Speaker 36: one word, politics, that's all. You pass a law that
- 2:04:03Speaker 36: they can't wear masks knowing, and this is, I listened
- 2:04:06Speaker 36: to the Democrat that proposed and had the law passed.
- 2:04:09Speaker 36: He said, I knew we couldn't enforce it. What are
- 2:04:11Speaker 36: you wasting our time in Hartford for then? You're passing
- 2:04:15Speaker 36: a law that's not enforceable. And I hate to break
- 2:04:17Speaker 36: the news to them. Go to some of the state
- 2:04:19Speaker 36: or local, maybe it's narcotics division or something, when they
- 2:04:22Speaker 36: have people undercover.
- 2:04:23Speaker 1: They're wearing masks.
- 2:04:24Speaker 36: So your own people that you actually could control are
- 2:04:27Speaker 36: wearing masks for their own, you know, they may, again,
- 2:04:30Speaker 36: they may be acting undercover.
- 2:04:32Speaker 1: They may be worrying about their safety.
- 2:04:34Speaker 36: It happens in local and state police, and you're not
- 2:04:36Speaker 36: saying anything because it's not politically correct.
- 2:04:40Speaker 39: Well, if they're arresting bad guys, I don't see what
- 2:04:43Speaker 39: the issue is with them. You've got Murphy. You've got Blumenthal.
- 2:04:47Speaker 39: And they're just gas bags. That's all they are. And,
- 2:04:50Speaker 39: you know, I've got to tell you, these politicians in
- 2:04:53Speaker 39: New London, when I hear them talking about schools and
- 2:04:57Speaker 39: Ocean Beach, it's the same, you know what, deja vu
- 2:05:01Speaker 39: all over again, Todd. They just continue to propagate politics.
- 2:05:09Speaker 22: Nonsense.
- 2:05:11Speaker 39: You know, they had a big meeting at Ocean Beach.
- 2:05:14Speaker 39: Now they're going to sit down and have a brainstorm
- 2:05:16Speaker 39: and a committee. You know what? For 50 years, they've
- 2:05:20Speaker 39: been trying to decide how to determine how to make
- 2:05:22Speaker 39: money down there. And they can't do it. They're going
- 2:05:26Speaker 39: to let Chagrou run the beach. If he makes money, good.
- 2:05:29Speaker 39: If he breaks even, good. If he loses money, good.
- 2:05:32Speaker 39: It's a place to go, a place to recreate. But
- 2:05:37Speaker 39: they always think they're going to get the magic, the
- 2:05:39Speaker 39: golden ring, you know, these brainstorm politicians.
- 2:05:43Speaker 36: Well, Coach, and I'll say this, and you're a little
- 2:05:45Speaker 36: older than me, but it's a different world. When I
- 2:05:49Speaker 36: was growing up, no one had cell phones. So you worked,
- 2:05:54Speaker 36: you went to Ocean Beach at night, you hung out
- 2:05:55Speaker 36: at the arcade, you met a girl and walked down
- 2:05:58Speaker 36: to the creek. I'll leave the story to end at that.
- 2:06:00Speaker 36: But that's where you hung out. The arcade was the
- 2:06:03Speaker 36: place to go. You can't... The world has changed, and again,
- 2:06:08Speaker 36: stole a little bit of my thunder, but I probably
- 2:06:09Speaker 36: won't get to it today.
- 2:06:10Speaker 1: But Ocean Beach is a different place than it was
- 2:06:12Speaker 1: years ago. And you know what?
- 2:06:14Speaker 36: I'll be the first one to say, the far left
- 2:06:16Speaker 36: wanted the marijuana. Go to Ocean Beach now. You'll need
- 2:06:19Speaker 36: a bag of Doritos before you hit the boardwalk. And
- 2:06:22Speaker 36: you wanted the law to be that way? That's the
- 2:06:24Speaker 36: way it is. But you know what? The sand smells
- 2:06:26Speaker 36: like a Bob Marley concert.
- 2:06:31Speaker 39: Well, you know what? That's what they wanted, and you
- 2:06:34Speaker 39: know what? You look at them, they're all wokers. There's
- 2:06:39Speaker 39: a couple of young guys that I had as students
- 2:06:41Speaker 39: at New London when I was there. I said, why
- 2:06:43Speaker 39: don't you do yourselves a favor? Move to the suburbs,
- 2:06:47Speaker 39: get involved with the suburbs, because you're dealing against an
- 2:06:51Speaker 39: old guard, and they have their own idea of what
- 2:06:56Speaker 39: New London should be.
- 2:06:57Speaker 4: And you know what?
- 2:06:58Speaker 39: It's not benefiting the whole group. It benefits a few
- 2:07:04Speaker 39: of them.
- 2:07:05Speaker 4: But if they went down there.
- 2:07:10Speaker 36: We lost your coach. We apologize. You can call back
- 2:07:13Speaker 36: or catch me another time.
- 2:07:14Speaker 1: I'm going to go over.
- 2:07:15Speaker 36: And just for the people that are listening before, Cliff,
- 2:07:17Speaker 36: hold on. We're going to take your call. Can't wait
- 2:07:18Speaker 36: to talk to you. I have two more dates for
- 2:07:23Speaker 36: you to write down for people to enjoy the show.
- 2:07:25Speaker 36: I'll be back on October 15th from 7 to 9,
- 2:07:29Speaker 36: and then I'll be back October 29th from 6 to 9.
- 2:07:33Speaker 1: Pray for me for three hours.
- 2:07:34Speaker 36: But again, October 15th, 7 to 9, October 29th, 6
- 2:07:39Speaker 36: to 9.
- 2:07:40Speaker 1: And here's my friend from the great city of Waterbury.
- 2:07:44Speaker 4: What's up, buddy?
- 2:07:45Speaker 1: Whoa, Cliff, how are you? DEI Cliff, that's what I'm
- 2:07:48Speaker 1: calling you, DEI Cliff. What's happening, my brother?
- 2:07:50Speaker 4: Yeah, DEI. I'll tell you where DEI is. That Trump administration.
- 2:07:56Speaker 1: It's called dead on arrival, Cliff. DEI is dead on arrival.
- 2:07:59Speaker 4: Hey, wait, wait. The whole staff is unqualified from PDS
- 2:08:04Speaker 4: back there to all of them.
- 2:08:06Speaker 36: Well, Cliff, I'm not going to make my listeners mad,
- 2:08:08Speaker 36: but I'll tell you one thing, Cliff.
- 2:08:09Speaker 1: We're going to agree on something right away.
- 2:08:12Speaker 36: I got oil yesterday, $ 1, 000.
- 2:08:15Speaker 1: It's never been $ 600 before. I may be agreeing with
- 2:08:17Speaker 1: you by the end of the show, Cliff.
- 2:08:20Speaker 4: Hey, but listen, before I get done.
- 2:08:23Speaker 1: Before you go racist, Cliff, go ahead.
- 2:08:27Speaker 4: Well, yeah, black racist, right? Okay, speaking of that, listen,
- 2:08:30Speaker 4: did you hear the story in Illinois? So you got
- 2:08:33Speaker 4: a high school, right? So you got like five white kids,
- 2:08:37Speaker 4: white boys, right? So they're playing a football game.
- 2:08:40Speaker 1: Cliff, you didn't say cracker, did you? You said white
- 2:08:42Speaker 1: boy or cracker.
- 2:08:43Speaker 4: Oh, no, no, no, no. Matter of fact, I let
- 2:08:46Speaker 4: my crackers, like, Go for it, Cliff.
- 2:08:50Speaker 6: Go ahead.
- 2:08:50Speaker 1: I'm sorry.
- 2:08:51Speaker 37: Go ahead.
- 2:08:52Speaker 4: That's okay. And I prefer Ritz crackers over the white crackers.
- 2:08:56Speaker 2: I'm shocked.
- 2:08:57Speaker 1: I'm shocked at that.
- 2:08:58Speaker 4: So now the kids, you've got to look this up now.
- 2:09:00Speaker 4: This happened like last week in Illinois. So the kids, man, right,
- 2:09:05Speaker 4: they go out in front of a predominantly black crowd,
- 2:09:09Speaker 4: and they start doing monkey gestures. You know, and so
- 2:09:13Speaker 4: the whole nine yards. So now it's a big issue,
- 2:09:16Speaker 4: and they're saying, what?
- 2:09:18Speaker 36: What are you saying, white kids are doing monkey gestures
- 2:09:21Speaker 36: at black kids? We had a black president, so you
- 2:09:24Speaker 36: know what?
- 2:09:25Speaker 1: Everything's equal.
- 2:09:26Speaker 7: Call again, Cliff.
- 2:09:31Speaker 16: I hope you got.
- 2:09:31Speaker 14: Your head up.
- 2:09:32Speaker 1: Even when the road is hard, never give up.
- 2:09:34Speaker 6: Baby, don't cry.
- 2:09:36Speaker 9: I hope you got your head up.
- 2:09:37Speaker 45: Even when the road is hard, never give up.
- 2:09:40Speaker 5: Now here's a story about a woman with dreams. So
- 2:09:43Speaker 5: it's a perfect 13 and Ebony Queen.
- 2:09:45Speaker 2: Beneath the surface, it was more than.
- 2:09:46Speaker 6: Just a creepy smile.
- 2:09:47Speaker 9: Nobody knew about a sequel, so it.
- 2:09:49Speaker 6: Took a while.
- 2:09:50Speaker 12: Traffic Alert on 94.9 News Now.

- 2:10:13Speaker 9: Route 12 is moving slowly in.
- 2:10:16Speaker 13: Both directions in Groton. Route 32 is slow northbound in
- 2:10:21Speaker 13: Quaker Hill. No delays on I-395. I'm Eddie Schaefer, TimeSaver Traffic.
- 2:10:28Speaker 5: And remember, We'll be right back.
- 2:11:12Speaker 16: It's Hugh Hewitt here with.
- 2:11:14Speaker 15: Ken and Nick Tumalo, hosts of Tumalo Financial Radio, Sundays
- 2:11:17Speaker 15: on 94.9.
- 2:11:17Speaker 5: Guys, why do taxes get overlooked in retirement planning?
- 2:11:40Speaker 64: Because the tax code is so complicated. You look at it,
- 2:11:43Speaker 64: the 401k is pre-tax money. The Roth is tax-free. Your
- 2:11:46Speaker 64: non-retirement accounts are capital gains, dividends, and interest. Your Social
- 2:11:49Speaker 64: Security is taxed by provisional income. I'm giving you all
- 2:11:52Speaker 64: these things and you're probably already confused. That's why you
- 2:11:54Speaker 64: want to build out that two-month retirement checkup to see short, first,
- 2:11:58Speaker 64: long-term effects on these type of things.
- 2:12:00Speaker 7: Because you never know.
- 2:12:01Speaker 64: You might have been saving well in those foreign case
- 2:12:03Speaker 64: and you might have a required minimum distribution issue at
- 2:12:06Speaker 64: 73 or 75, depending on your birth. So you really
- 2:12:09Speaker 64: don't want to look at it just on a one
- 2:12:11Speaker 64: year basis. Oh, yeah, I'm going to do a Roth
- 2:12:13Speaker 64: conversion this year. It's going to take care of everything.
- 2:12:15Speaker 64: No planning takes year over year on tax planning. You
- 2:12:18Speaker 64: can't just do it in one year.
- 2:12:20Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 2:12:20Speaker 65: One of the biggest things that we did find with
- 2:12:22Speaker 65: tax planning, especially for our listeners, was that it has
- 2:12:26Speaker 65: to be done over multiple years to actually gain an advantage.
- 2:12:29Speaker 65: So it's not that simple where you just make one
- 2:12:31Speaker 65: change in one year. A lot of times it's the
- 2:12:33Speaker 65: planning piece of it. And when we do our two-month
- 2:12:35Speaker 65: financial retirement checkup, it actually looks like a big spreadsheet
- 2:12:38Speaker 65: and it shows the numbers.
- 2:12:39Speaker 6: Over a whole bunch of years.
- 2:12:40Speaker 65: We like to go out 24, even 30 years at
- 2:12:42Speaker 65: times when we're projecting out. Because if we can pick
- 2:12:45Speaker 65: up on some of these tax things and then start
- 2:12:47Speaker 65: to implement strategies, then what we can do is put
- 2:12:50Speaker 65: in front of you, the listeners, we can put in
- 2:12:52Speaker 65: front of them where they would save money in taxes
- 2:12:54Speaker 65: and how much over time. So it starts with that
- 2:12:55Speaker 65: Tumalo Financial Retirement Checkup, our number, 860-854-3434.

- 2:14:44Speaker 28: ever Republican midterm convention promising a cash bonus if his
- 2:14:48Speaker 28: party wins the election.
- 2:14:50Speaker 17: $ 5, 000 to every American adult. That would have a price
- 2:14:53Speaker 17: tag of an estimated $ 1. 3 trillion, leading to some criticism
- 2:14:57Speaker 17: from Democrats that it would essentially be a bribe for
- 2:15:00Speaker 17: voters and would increase the deficit and inflation.
- 2:15:03Speaker 28: Fox's Bill Melusian in Dallas. The convention wraps up tonight.
- 2:15:06Speaker 28: Turning Point USA holds Freedom Built to Last, honoring its

- 2:15:20Speaker 31: More pain at the pump. The price of gas rising quickly.
- 2:15:23Speaker 28: 12 cents over the past two days, stopping at $ 4. 27
- 2:15:25Speaker 28: a gallon for regular.

- 2:16:12Speaker 62: It doesn't know your story.
- 2:16:13Speaker 6: It doesn't know what happened.

- 2:17:11Speaker 6: Sunny, warm, breezy, and beautiful today on our Thursday. Good morning,
- 2:17:15Speaker 6: I'm David Fish.
- 2:17:16Speaker 26: Well, recent reports show that about half of Connecticut's students
- 2:17:20Speaker 26: passed the state's annual physical fitness assessment.
- 2:17:23Speaker 6: Despite recent improvement.
- 2:17:25Speaker 26: Experts say that more daily activity could improve students' health, attention,
- 2:17:30Speaker 26: and and overall academic performance.
- 2:17:33Speaker 6: A 63-year-old man was arrested minutes.
- 2:17:36Speaker 26: After allegedly robbing a Willimantic credit union Wednesday morning. Police
- 2:17:40Speaker 26: say that Maurice Archie Jr. Wing had stolen cash but
- 2:17:45Speaker 26: showed no weapon. He was arrested and held on a $ 150, 000 bond.
- 2:17:50Speaker 26: A Killingly man pleaded guilty yesterday to stealing more than $ 775, 000 from.
- 2:17:56Speaker 6: Nonprofits in Wyndham and Middlefield.
- 2:17:58Speaker 26: Prosecutors say that 44-year-old Ryan Fitzgibbons used organization funds for
- 2:18:04Speaker 26: personal expenses and concealed the thefts. He faces up to
- 2:18:09Speaker 26: 20 years in prison and must pay restitution.
- 2:18:12Speaker 6: A Jewett City resident.
- 2:18:13Speaker 26: Won $ 1 million from a scratch ticket purchased at one
- 2:18:17Speaker 26: shop convenience in Plainfield. After federal taxes, the winner still
- 2:18:22Speaker 26: will receive about $ 690, 000.
- 2:18:23Speaker 6: Nice win.
- 2:18:23Speaker 26: Mystic Aquarium released two rehabilitated sea turtles at Wiscano Beach
- 2:18:31Speaker 26: in Mesquamican on Wednesday. Both Penelope and Sprout were treated
- 2:18:36Speaker 26: after being found cold stunned. on Cape Cod with injuries
- 2:18:39Speaker 26: and infections. They're both better now, and hopefully they'll find
- 2:18:42Speaker 26: their way back home. Have a great day today. I'm
- 2:18:45Speaker 26: David Fish, and when news breaks, we break in.
- 2:18:49Speaker 36: Welcome back to 94.9 News Now and Stimulating Talk.
- 2:18:53Speaker 1: I'm Todd Lynch, and I have the 7 to 9.
- 2:18:57Speaker 1: Session here on the radio.
- 2:18:59Speaker 36: We do have several callers we're going to go to,
- 2:19:01Speaker 36: but if we can fit you in by the end
- 2:19:03Speaker 36: of the hour, 860-464-9490. And it's always nice to hear
- 2:19:10Speaker 36: people's feedback. Again, agree, disagree of what, you know, what
- 2:19:14Speaker 36: I'm saying, what I'm thinking. But before we go to
- 2:19:17Speaker 36: the callers, I always like to point out the deficiencies
- 2:19:21Speaker 36: of our state representative in New London, Anthony Nolan. one
- 2:19:24Speaker 36: of the smartest cops I've ever met, he was endorsed
- 2:19:29Speaker 36: by AFL-CIO, a union endorsed Anthony Nolan. And I don't
- 2:19:34Speaker 36: know who's in AFL-CIO, but they ought to check themselves
- 2:19:38Speaker 36: because AFSCME, Council 4, Local 724, which is the New
- 2:19:44Speaker 36: London Police Union, which Anthony Nolan was a member of
- 2:19:48Speaker 36: as a police officer, didn't even endorse him. He has
- 2:19:51Speaker 36: as much... to do with a union as a sunbather
- 2:19:55Speaker 36: has to do with Alaska. He could care less about
- 2:19:59Speaker 36: unions other than getting an endorsement. Never went to a
- 2:20:01Speaker 36: union function with us. Never went to a fundraiser. Never
- 2:20:05Speaker 36: went to Thanksgiving, you know, raising money in turkeys.
- 2:20:09Speaker 1: Never went to Christmas gifts for the needy, for the union.
- 2:20:13Speaker 36: Anything that had to do with a union, Anthony Nolan
- 2:20:16Speaker 36: was never around. And he may win in London, probably will.
- 2:20:20Speaker 36: But it ought to tell you that the new London
- 2:20:22Speaker 36: Police Union, when I was running it, knew Anthony was
- 2:20:24Speaker 36: going to win and still endorsed the Republican candidate. That's
- 2:20:27Speaker 36: what they thought of him. And it was unanimous. It
- 2:20:29Speaker 36: wasn't just one. It was unanimous not to endorse him.
- 2:20:32Speaker 36: But then again, as a person on the intelligence level,
- 2:20:36Speaker 36: he put in to be a canine handler when he's
- 2:20:38Speaker 36: allergic to dogs. That ought to tell you about Anthony Nolan.
- 2:20:40Speaker 36: And that's no joke. He's allergic to dogs and put
- 2:20:43Speaker 36: in to be a canine handler. So let's go to
- 2:20:45Speaker 36: the phones.
- 2:20:48Speaker 1: You're on.
- 2:20:48Speaker 47: Oh, here he is.
- 2:20:50Speaker 3: Hey, Todd.
- 2:20:51Speaker 2: Hey, Dan.
- 2:20:52Speaker 1: What's up, my brother?
- 2:20:53Speaker 39: Hey.
- 2:20:54Speaker 42: You're doing a great job.
- 2:20:56Speaker 1: I appreciate it. It's not easy, Dan.
- 2:20:58Speaker 42: Oh, no. I can only imagine because you haven't had
- 2:21:04Speaker 42: any dead time. And if I was doing that, there'd
- 2:21:06Speaker 42: be like, you know, the song Silence is Golden. Except
- 2:21:10Speaker 42: on radio, I guess it's not golden.
- 2:21:12Speaker 1: Well, I appreciate you calling in and giving me a break.
- 2:21:14Speaker 1: What do you got, Dan?
- 2:21:15Speaker 42: Well, one, there was a great joke about Nolan and
- 2:21:18Speaker 42: being allergic to dogs.
- 2:21:20Speaker 36: Dan, that's not a joke. Dan, that's not a joke.
- 2:21:22Speaker 36: That's reality. I'm not joking with you. He is allergic
- 2:21:25Speaker 36: to dogs. He would have to get a special non-allergic
- 2:21:29Speaker 36: dog to be a dog handler.
- 2:21:30Speaker 1: Not a shepherd, not a Malinois. And that ought.
- 2:21:33Speaker 36: To tell you the politics in the city of New London,
- 2:21:37Speaker 36: the former police chief, the one who's a female that
- 2:21:39Speaker 36: we drove out of town, was going to give him
- 2:21:41Speaker 36: a dog for no other reason than politics.
- 2:21:43Speaker 1: He's on the city council.
- 2:21:44Speaker 36: Any dog handler knows if you're allergic to dogs, probably
- 2:21:47Speaker 36: not a good thing. You're going to have to, you know,
- 2:21:50Speaker 36: be around other dogs. You're going to have to share
- 2:21:51Speaker 36: cars and, you know, put on the bite suit.
- 2:21:54Speaker 5: Come on.
- 2:21:54Speaker 2: What a joke.
- 2:21:57Speaker 42: But the main reason I called is when you were
- 2:21:59Speaker 42: talking to Cliff, he gave the impression trying to say
- 2:22:04Speaker 42: racism is up under Trump. And I got three reasons
- 2:22:08Speaker 42: that I think I can debunk that. One is Memphis,
- 2:22:13Speaker 42: two is Washington, D.C., and three is Chicago. In all
- 2:22:18Speaker 42: three of those places, there was huge problems with black-on-black
- 2:22:21Speaker 42: violence and black-on-black murders. Trump wanted to send the National
- 2:22:27Speaker 42: Guard into all three places. They said he wanted to
- 2:22:30Speaker 42: take over the cities and be a king.
- 2:22:34Speaker 4: Well, one, there was a.
- 2:22:35Speaker 42: Black woman who was the mayor of Chicago. She said no.
- 2:22:42Speaker 42: The governor said no, who's also a liberal Democrat. Trump
- 2:22:46Speaker 42: did not go in there. He followed the law. Memphis
- 2:22:52Speaker 42: and D.C., he was able to go in there because
- 2:22:55Speaker 42: it was okay. Violent crime and murders in those two
- 2:23:00Speaker 42: cities are way down. That's black violence. Those are black murders.
- 2:23:06Speaker 42: So if he's such a damn racist, Why does he
- 2:23:09Speaker 42: care so much about saving black lives in three of
- 2:23:13Speaker 42: the largest, most important cities in the country? I don't understand.
- 2:23:21Speaker 4: There's no logic.
- 2:23:23Speaker 42: It's being ignored that he was so successful, and he
- 2:23:27Speaker 42: actually did it, and the left tried to make him
- 2:23:29Speaker 42: into a boogeyman for basically trying to save lives. That's
- 2:23:36Speaker 42: how low and how irrational the liberals are. And that
- 2:23:42Speaker 42: was my main point.
- 2:23:43Speaker 36: No, it's a good point, Dan. And here's what I
- 2:23:45Speaker 36: would say. If I lived in Chicago, Illinois, where it's
- 2:23:49Speaker 36: basically just, it's a war zone. Let's be honest. Every weekend, 30,
- 2:23:53Speaker 36: 40 shootings, seven, eight murders. Every weekend, it's a war zone.
- 2:23:56Speaker 1: It's out of control.
- 2:23:58Speaker 36: And police departments doing all they can. I'm sure they
- 2:24:01Speaker 36: have other resources. They can't control it. And the president
- 2:24:05Speaker 36: of the United States, if I live there, is willing
- 2:24:07Speaker 36: to give federal resources to help fix the problem. And
- 2:24:14Speaker 36: the powers to be say no for no other reason
- 2:24:17Speaker 36: than politics. They don't want the president, whether it's Trump
- 2:24:21Speaker 36: or somebody else, they don't want to give him a
- 2:24:23Speaker 36: pat on the back if it works out, like you said,
- 2:24:25Speaker 36: in these other places. So you're going to live in
- 2:24:28Speaker 36: a war zone for politics.
- 2:24:32Speaker 42: Yeah, so evidently politics and hatred of Trump is more
- 2:24:36Speaker 42: important than saving lives if you're a liberal.
- 2:24:40Speaker 36: What other community would say no to that? And I'm
- 2:24:43Speaker 36: not saying go in every place. If the department, the
- 2:24:45Speaker 36: local agency can control it, fine. You can't tell me 40, 50, 60,
- 2:24:49Speaker 36: 70 shootings a weekend with multiple murders.
- 2:24:52Speaker 1: You're controlling it.
- 2:24:53Speaker 6: You're not.
- 2:24:54Speaker 1: It is out of control.
- 2:24:56Speaker 36: There was a point in my career where the city
- 2:24:58Speaker 36: of Hartford was out of control, and they couldn't do
- 2:25:01Speaker 36: any more. So they asked the state with state troopers
- 2:25:03Speaker 36: to go in and help. And they accept it. And
- 2:25:06Speaker 36: that's what you do to control the crime spree. But
- 2:25:09Speaker 36: to say, no, we're all set, you're not all set, Mayor.
- 2:25:13Speaker 1: I can tell you that. And if I lived there,
- 2:25:15Speaker 1: I wouldn't be a happy camper.
- 2:25:17Speaker 7: But you know what?
- 2:25:18Speaker 1: Continue to vote the same people in. Continue to have
- 2:25:20Speaker 1: the same problems.
- 2:25:22Speaker 42: Yeah, you get what you vote for.
- 2:25:24Speaker 5: Absolutely.
- 2:25:24Speaker 39: Unfortunately.
- 2:25:25Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 2:25:26Speaker 4: Thanks a lot, Todd.
- 2:25:27Speaker 1: Thank you, Dan.
- 2:25:27Speaker 36: Appreciate the call. We got another call coming in. You're
- 2:25:31Speaker 36: on with Todd Lynch.
- 2:25:32Speaker 38: Hey, this is Jan.
- 2:25:34Speaker 4: Hi, Todd.
- 2:25:34Speaker 38: You're doing a great job.
- 2:25:35Speaker 1: I appreciate it, Jan. Thank you for the call, as always.
- 2:25:39Speaker 38: Okay, so I called up earlier this week to talk
- 2:25:43Speaker 38: about the missing children. And right now you had discussed that,
- 2:25:48Speaker 38: which I was trying to explain to a friend about
- 2:25:52Speaker 38: children when police go in to arrest somebody, that there
- 2:25:56Speaker 38: are often children there. My son-in-law has told me stories
- 2:26:00Speaker 38: when they've gone to serve warrants or... arrest people and
- 2:26:04Speaker 38: how they have to manage the children, because they may
- 2:26:08Speaker 38: be frightened, et cetera.
- 2:26:10Speaker 3: Okay.
- 2:26:10Speaker 38: So, what bothers me is this political use of children
- 2:26:15Speaker 38: and the missing children. I mean, I think that any
- 2:26:20Speaker 38: politician who goes on about children being frightened when their
- 2:26:27Speaker 38: parents are being arrested especially, I mean, every illegal immigrant
- 2:26:32Speaker 38: has committed a crime, but a lot of the 40,000, 50,000
- 2:26:38Speaker 38: last time they checked the stats are serious criminals, rapists, murderers,
- 2:26:46Speaker 38: drug dealers, gang members, and they have kids too. And
- 2:26:50Speaker 38: to think that Lamont and other people, Nick Menempace, all
- 2:26:57Speaker 38: the Democrats in this state, cry about the children who
- 2:27:02Speaker 38: may be upset that their parents got arrested, but they
- 2:27:05Speaker 38: have no interest in the children. And I say this
- 2:27:09Speaker 38: all the time. I hope people open their ears. As
- 2:27:13Speaker 38: we speak, there are children who were brought over that border,
- 2:27:18Speaker 38: and over 100,000 were found by this administration. No matter
- 2:27:24Speaker 38: how you feel about it, over 100,000 were found.
- 2:27:27Speaker 39: But the others.
- 2:27:29Speaker 38: are actually working as slave labor in remote areas. They're
- 2:27:33Speaker 38: being exploited, raped, trafficked as we speak. And Lamont is
- 2:27:39Speaker 38: going to cry about children whose criminal parents are being arrested.
- 2:27:46Speaker 38: I feel sorry for the children. And great. I mean,
- 2:27:49Speaker 38: if your father or your mother is a drug dealer,
- 2:27:52Speaker 38: the best thing we can do is take you away
- 2:27:54Speaker 38: from them, right? I mean, that's a mercy to those kids.
- 2:27:58Speaker 36: Jan, it's a great point that you make because, and
- 2:28:01Speaker 36: you hit the nail on the head. They'll point that
- 2:28:04Speaker 36: out about the ICE arrest. Like you said, it's arrest.
- 2:28:07Speaker 36: These people are here illegally. It's against the law, by
- 2:28:09Speaker 36: the way. But it happens every day in law enforcement.
- 2:28:14Speaker 36: As we sit here today, locally, someone is being arrested
- 2:28:19Speaker 36: that is a parent with their children.
- 2:28:20Speaker 1: It happens. And they act like this is something new
- 2:28:24Speaker 1: with ICE.
- 2:28:26Speaker 38: It happens.
- 2:28:26Speaker 36: It happens every single day, but it doesn't fit their
- 2:28:30Speaker 36: political narrative because the politics now.
- 2:28:34Speaker 1: Is be anti-ICE.
- 2:28:36Speaker 36: I mean, hundreds of times in my career did I
- 2:28:39Speaker 36: have to arrest not only a parent, I had to
- 2:28:41Speaker 36: arrest a parent in front of their children, and then
- 2:28:45Speaker 36: I had to find somebody else, whether it's a neighbor
- 2:28:47Speaker 36: or another relative, to take custody because I'm bringing the
- 2:28:51Speaker 36: parent to jail.
- 2:28:53Speaker 38: Exactly, and my son-in-law has talked about that, and You know,
- 2:28:57Speaker 38: we're talking a major city in the West and, you know,
- 2:29:03Speaker 38: parents who have committed very serious crimes. And it's sad
- 2:29:08Speaker 38: for the child, but maybe the child doesn't need to
- 2:29:10Speaker 38: be in that position anymore. So what really disgusts me is,
- 2:29:16Speaker 38: and I know some Democrats listen to this, so I
- 2:29:19Speaker 38: want to say you hate Trump so much that you
- 2:29:24Speaker 38: want to support... people who've committed crimes in this country,
- 2:29:29Speaker 38: but you do not want ICE and other agencies to
- 2:29:33Speaker 38: find raped children. I hope you have nightmares tonight about this,
- 2:29:38Speaker 38: because you are supporting Lamont and everybody else that gets
- 2:29:43Speaker 38: up and cries about this. You are supporting the rape
- 2:29:47Speaker 38: and the trafficking of children that we have not found.
- 2:29:52Speaker 21: So.
- 2:29:53Speaker 38: Thank you so much, Governor Lamont. I'm disgusted. I'm disgusted.
- 2:30:00Speaker 1: I appreciate it, Jen. I appreciate the call, but you're right.
- 2:30:03Speaker 36: That's why politics has no position in law enforcement in
- 2:30:08Speaker 36: any way, federal, local, state.
- 2:30:11Speaker 1: Politics should be out of it. You're on.
- 2:30:16Speaker 62: Hey, Todd. Great job today. Thank you, Dan.
- 2:30:18Speaker 6: I appreciate you.
- 2:30:19Speaker 2: Thanks for letting us call in.
- 2:30:20Speaker 65: And get our.
- 2:30:21Speaker 62: get our fix.
- 2:30:23Speaker 36: Dan you're helping me more than i'm helping you i
- 2:30:24Speaker 36: appreciate it i know i.
- 2:30:27Speaker 62: Was in the chair a few days ago so i
- 2:30:28Speaker 62: know the feeling listen um i wanted to say i've
- 2:30:32Speaker 62: been watching this uh trial unfold with the three strangled
- 2:30:36Speaker 62: kids yes you know the clancy trial and now there's
- 2:30:40Speaker 62: a mistrial there and and i just can't i can't
- 2:30:43Speaker 62: get my head around the fact that You know, I
- 2:30:46Speaker 62: know as a police officer, I'm sure you've walked in
- 2:30:49Speaker 62: on a million horrors, things that you don't want to remember,
- 2:30:52Speaker 62: things maybe not equal to this, but maybe in another way. But,
- 2:30:57Speaker 62: you know, you see this, these murdered kids. And then,
- 2:31:03Speaker 62: on the other hand, you go back and you fight
- 2:31:04Speaker 62: with the state who says, you know, they have a
- 2:31:07Speaker 62: right to teach your kids sex education or, you know,
- 2:31:09Speaker 62: it takes a village to transgender all the children and
- 2:31:13Speaker 62: you know, all these things that they do. And we
- 2:31:15Speaker 62: argue parental rights, you know, because ultimately we're supposed to
- 2:31:20Speaker 62: be the first line of defense for our children. And
- 2:31:24Speaker 62: I fully agree with the notion of parental rights. You know,
- 2:31:29Speaker 62: I mean, the state doesn't own your children. But you
- 2:31:32Speaker 62: grapple with the idea that parents have the rights over
- 2:31:36Speaker 62: the children, and more and more that's ending poorly. And
- 2:31:42Speaker 62: the state having the rights over the children ends poorly
- 2:31:44Speaker 62: as well. And it has occurred to me that freedom,
- 2:31:49Speaker 62: you know, this freedom that we enjoy, this constitutional freedom
- 2:31:53Speaker 62: that we have from our creator, is only possible if
- 2:31:58Speaker 62: people are moral. You know, like if you don't want
- 2:32:04Speaker 62: to have a government that's in every corner of life,
- 2:32:07Speaker 62: then you have to govern your life. You know, we're
- 2:32:11Speaker 62: trying to you know, you see the problem in schools.
- 2:32:13Speaker 62: You see the problem on the streets. There's no parenting.
- 2:32:16Speaker 38: Right.
- 2:32:16Speaker 62: Or the parenting that is there is even detrimental to
- 2:32:19Speaker 62: the way kids turn out. But the less moral, the
- 2:32:22Speaker 62: more that the society decays morally and has no compass morally,
- 2:32:27Speaker 62: the more rules and regulations and conflict and evil things
- 2:32:31Speaker 62: we're seeing everywhere you look until we're we're tightening our
- 2:32:35Speaker 62: own noose around our neck. You know, when you go
- 2:32:37Speaker 62: to the gas station, the gas pump, and they say,
- 2:32:40Speaker 62: don't put your mouth on the hose and suck the
- 2:32:42Speaker 62: gas out of there, you know, and you think, my God,
- 2:32:45Speaker 62: somebody must have done that, right? That's why there's a
- 2:32:47Speaker 62: law for that. And you start to read the text
- 2:32:51Speaker 62: of some of the laws and things that we have now,
- 2:32:53Speaker 62: some of the things that we're implementing, and they're an indictment.
- 2:32:57Speaker 62: of our collapsing moral structure, our own personal ethical moral
- 2:33:01Speaker 62: structure in the society. And from the beginning of your term,
- 2:33:05Speaker 62: time being a police officer until the end, do you,
- 2:33:09Speaker 62: do you observe that decay? Like that moral decay? Like
- 2:33:13Speaker 62: you think things the way things are happening now are like,
- 2:33:15Speaker 62: Oh my God, I can't believe that's the way it
- 2:33:17Speaker 62: is now compared to how it was when I first
- 2:33:19Speaker 62: started in this, in this business, you know, 100%.
- 2:33:24Speaker 1: Um, and I'll say this, I, I did the job
- 2:33:26Speaker 1: for 36 years.
- 2:33:28Speaker 36: And the one thing you see Dan in more than
- 2:33:31Speaker 36: anything is the respect has, has gone away, you know, and,
- 2:33:35Speaker 36: and from what one guy does in Minnesota, shouldn't paint
- 2:33:41Speaker 36: all of us with a broad brush across, you know,
- 2:33:43Speaker 36: police accountability. This, I didn't agree with Chauvin, what he
- 2:33:46Speaker 36: did to that guy, but, I'll be punished for it,
- 2:33:50Speaker 36: and that's a sad fact. And I have another call
- 2:33:54Speaker 36: coming in, but I'll end on this one. And I
- 2:33:57Speaker 36: haven't given much of my opinion on the Clancy trial,
- 2:34:01Speaker 36: but I'll end on this one, Dan, on my thoughts.
- 2:34:04Speaker 36: And it's kind of what I thought about the Charles
- 2:34:06Speaker 36: Manson killers.
- 2:34:08Speaker 1: They were nuts. You know what I mean?
- 2:34:09Speaker 36: They killed the Sharon Tate murders, and then they went
- 2:34:12Speaker 36: to LaBianca's, and they were mentally unstable. They were under
- 2:34:15Speaker 36: his spell or whatever, so there was a mental problem.
- 2:34:18Speaker 36: And I'll say the same thing about Clancy. If they
- 2:34:21Speaker 36: want to vote her not guilty by reason of insanity,
- 2:34:24Speaker 36: I'm okay with it, and a lot of people aren't.
- 2:34:26Speaker 36: But when they prove her, okay, now she's better, she's sane,
- 2:34:31Speaker 36: I don't agree letting her out. Then you go to jail.
- 2:34:35Speaker 36: And that's the way I look at it, because you
- 2:34:37Speaker 36: were you still killed three people. And I don't agree
- 2:34:40Speaker 36: with the Charles Manson people getting out now.
- 2:34:42Speaker 1: They were crazy. Now they're better.
- 2:34:44Speaker 36: So letting them out. No, if you were crazy, I'm sorry.
- 2:34:47Speaker 36: And now you're better. But you still kill people. So
- 2:34:50Speaker 36: now you're leaving the mental institution and you're going to jail.
- 2:34:55Speaker 1: And from that, we're going to take Jim and Lisbon.
- 2:35:01Speaker 6: Jim, you there?
- 2:35:02Speaker 10: Yeah, I am.
- 2:35:02Speaker 39: Good morning, Todd.
- 2:35:03Speaker 58: Good morning.
- 2:35:04Speaker 67: You're doing a great job.
- 2:35:04Speaker 1: I appreciate it.
- 2:35:06Speaker 67: Can you hear me?
- 2:35:07Speaker 1: I got you, Jim. Can you hear me?
- 2:35:09Speaker 67: Yeah, I got you good.
- 2:35:10Speaker 19: I got you.
- 2:35:10Speaker 61: Go ahead.
- 2:35:11Speaker 4: Hey, listen.
- 2:35:12Speaker 67: I want to make it real quick because we're running
- 2:35:14Speaker 67: out of time.
- 2:35:14Speaker 2: Thank you.
- 2:35:16Speaker 67: If you've traveled the world, and I know people that have,
- 2:35:20Speaker 67: and you've lived in other countries, you can realize how
- 2:35:22Speaker 67: great America is. We are the last bastion of freedom,
- 2:35:28Speaker 67: and the people that live here don't understand that. I
- 2:35:32Speaker 67: wish somebody could make it clear at every level, especially
- 2:35:34Speaker 67: the younger people.
- 2:35:37Speaker 1: And you saw that, Jim, a lot with the soccer.
- 2:35:40Speaker 1: When people came over here, they were in love with
- 2:35:42Speaker 1: the country.
- 2:35:43Speaker 67: Absolutely. Listen, Todd, everybody that I talk to outside of
- 2:35:47Speaker 67: this country loves America and they want to come here. Oh,
- 2:35:51Speaker 67: it's because we're such a terrible country. But let me
- 2:35:53Speaker 67: make my point. The socialists, and they're really communists, but
- 2:35:59Speaker 67: the people that think it's okay to have socialism, and
- 2:36:02Speaker 67: I have people close to me that say, well, the billionaires,
- 2:36:05Speaker 67: they should share the money with everybody, da-da-da-da-da. Listen, we
- 2:36:09Speaker 67: live in a free country, and we can decide if
- 2:36:12Speaker 67: we want to go into socialism or into communism, and
- 2:36:15Speaker 67: we can do it.
- 2:36:17Speaker 4: But here's the problem.
- 2:36:18Speaker 67: That's a one-way street. Because in America, when I was
- 2:36:23Speaker 67: a kid and all, a lot of people would vote
- 2:36:25Speaker 67: for one party one year and then the president, well,
- 2:36:28Speaker 67: he didn't do so good, I'm going to vote for
- 2:36:29Speaker 67: the other party and switch back and forth and so on,
- 2:36:32Speaker 67: because you're still going to have the choice. If you
- 2:36:34Speaker 67: choose socialism, which is communism, there's no coming back. If
- 2:36:38Speaker 67: they take over our country and a year and a
- 2:36:40Speaker 67: half later you say, this sucks, I want to go
- 2:36:42Speaker 67: back to the way it was, uh-uh, you don't do that.
- 2:36:47Speaker 62: The Berlin Wall.
- 2:36:48Speaker 67: I don't know how old you are if you remember
- 2:36:50Speaker 67: the Berlin Wall.
- 2:36:51Speaker 62: But there was a.
- 2:36:52Speaker 67: No-man's land in between those two walls. People risked their
- 2:36:56Speaker 67: life running across that no-man's land because it was so bad.
- 2:37:00Speaker 67: In the communist country, they would risk their life to
- 2:37:03Speaker 67: get out. Why wouldn't the communists let them get out?
- 2:37:05Speaker 67: Why wouldn't they let them choose capitalism or whatever? Because
- 2:37:08Speaker 67: it's a one-way street, and we're heading down that street.
- 2:37:11Speaker 3: Well, here's what I'll say, Jim, on this.
- 2:37:13Speaker 1: I appreciate that, Jim, but here's what I'll say.
- 2:37:16Speaker 36: Someone, if you don't like it here, someone like Rosie O'Donnell,
- 2:37:20Speaker 36: and don't know the woman, obviously.
- 2:37:22Speaker 1: She didn't like it here.
- 2:37:23Speaker 36: If you don't like the way we're doing things, take
- 2:37:26Speaker 36: your fat freak ass out to another country.
- 2:37:29Speaker 67: Yeah, well, Todd, we say that, and the people that
- 2:37:32Speaker 67: have money can do that. But the average citizen is
- 2:37:34Speaker 67: sitting here trying to say, I can't even pay for
- 2:37:36Speaker 67: my gas or your oil tank, filling your oil tank. No,
- 2:37:40Speaker 67: our decision usually is based upon an emotion on a person.
- 2:37:44Speaker 67: And you know what? They've been beating up on Trump,
- 2:37:47Speaker 67: and I'm very– as far as Trump is concerned, I
- 2:37:50Speaker 67: think he's done some good things. But they've been beating
- 2:37:55Speaker 67: on him every day of his first administration, and they're
- 2:37:57Speaker 67: beating on him now. I hear people calling him a
- 2:37:59Speaker 67: rapist and a child molester and all that kind of stuff,
- 2:38:02Speaker 67: and that's not true.
- 2:38:03Speaker 1: So we have.
- 2:38:05Speaker 67: To deal with what we're dealing with. And I'm telling
- 2:38:07Speaker 67: you right now, I lived in a communist country. Stanford
- 2:38:10Speaker 67: Research Institute was building a laboratory in Beijing, and they
- 2:38:13Speaker 67: hired me to head.
- 2:38:14Speaker 8: Up the quality department.
- 2:38:15Speaker 67: I lived in a communist country. I know what loss
- 2:38:18Speaker 67: of freedom is. And you don't want socialism, and you
- 2:38:22Speaker 67: don't want communism, and you're going to learn the hard way.
- 2:38:24Speaker 67: And I just hope it's not too late for us
- 2:38:26Speaker 67: to switch back.
- 2:38:27Speaker 62: To the way it's always been.
- 2:38:29Speaker 36: I appreciate it, and I think too much of the
- 2:38:31Speaker 36: country is– Too much of the country is all about
- 2:38:38Speaker 36: hating Trump. He's the president right now. I don't wear
- 2:38:42Speaker 36: a MAGA hat. I don't have a Trump sign in
- 2:38:44Speaker 36: my front yard. But same as Obama or Clinton or Bush,
- 2:38:47Speaker 36: as long as they're the president... I say let's have–
- 2:38:52Speaker 36: wish upon him to do the best job for us.
- 2:38:55Speaker 36: But just to hate someone to hate someone– and I'll
- 2:38:59Speaker 36: go over this a little more on my next show.
- 2:39:02Speaker 1: But you look at local politics today.
- 2:39:05Speaker 36: Someone running for, I don't know, mayor or first selectman
- 2:39:08Speaker 36: or board of selectmen in a local town, state senator,
- 2:39:12Speaker 36: state representative.
- 2:39:13Speaker 1: The first thing always out of someone's mouth is about Trump.
- 2:39:16Speaker 36: You know what? I– If I'm going to endorse or
- 2:39:20Speaker 36: vote for someone, that's not what.
- 2:39:22Speaker 6: I care about, Trump.
- 2:39:23Speaker 36: I care about my state taxes, my electric costs, my
- 2:39:27Speaker 36: car taxes, the price of my oil, the quality of
- 2:39:30Speaker 36: my life, where I live.
