- 0:00Speaker 1: You're ahead of the game just for being here. It's
- 0:04Speaker 1: marks alone on sevent tenor.
- 0:11Speaker 2: Well, it's Friday Opening day at Yankee Stadium today, at
- 0:15Speaker 2: the big event every year. It's gonna be nice. It
- 0:18Speaker 2: should be nice later today, sun'll come out. It should
- 0:21Speaker 2: be nice tomorrow. It looks like rain on Easter Sunday.
- 0:23Speaker 2: The Easter Parade takes place on Fifth Avenue forty ninth
- 0:27Speaker 2: to fifty seventh Street, but it looks like it'll rain
- 0:29Speaker 2: throughout the parade on Sunday. So Iran is claiming it's
- 0:36Speaker 2: shot down a US fighter jet and that the pilot
- 0:39Speaker 2: is missing. Now this has not been confirmed by anybody.
- 0:43Speaker 2: This is Iran claiming this. They put out a picture
- 0:47Speaker 2: of the jet they shot down, saying it's an F
- 0:49Speaker 2: thirty five, but US officials looking at it say it's
- 0:52Speaker 2: clearly not. They can tell from the pieces it's an
- 0:55Speaker 2: F fifteen. And it should be pointed out Iran has
- 1:00Speaker 2: a history of claiming to have shot down US jets
- 1:03Speaker 2: when they didn't, So we don't know if this is
- 1:05Speaker 2: real or not real. And again Iran has light about
- 1:09Speaker 2: it before. If it's true the pilot is missing, Iran
- 1:13Speaker 2: has said to their public. They will pay a huge
- 1:16Speaker 2: reward for anybody that can find the American pilot and
- 1:20Speaker 2: turn him in. The US has launched a search operation
- 1:25Speaker 2: inside Iran. Now again. Iran has a history of claiming
- 1:29Speaker 2: to have shot down a US plane when they haven't.
- 1:31Speaker 2: But I would imagine that our military knows where all
- 1:36Speaker 2: their planes are, and I would imagine they can tell
- 1:39Speaker 2: if they've lost a plane or not lost the plane.
- 1:42Speaker 2: And they do say there is a search operation underway.
- 1:45Speaker 2: So we'll keep on top of that for you. Tiger Woods. Well,
- 1:52Speaker 2: he got permission to leave the country to go get treatment,
- 1:57Speaker 2: big big rehabilitation, rehabit tree overseas, which will get him
- 2:01Speaker 2: out of the spotlight, he hopes for a long time.
- 2:04Speaker 2: More and more coming out about at the scene. The
- 2:09Speaker 2: cops show up. They know immediately who he is, and
- 2:14Speaker 2: they talked to him. They're going to do some test,
- 2:16Speaker 2: you know, you walk the line and all that kind
- 2:18Speaker 2: of stuff. But they asked him to wait in the
- 2:20Speaker 2: car while they go do some stuff. And apparently at
- 2:22Speaker 2: one point he got out of the car and started
- 2:26Speaker 2: wandering a little and he wandered down the road and
- 2:30Speaker 2: he picked you know, he was on his phone. He
- 2:32Speaker 2: was making some sort of a phone call, wandering down
- 2:34Speaker 2: the road away from them, making this phone call, and
- 2:37Speaker 2: then he wandered back, and as he got back towards
- 2:41Speaker 2: the cops, they can hear him saying into the phone, well,
- 2:43Speaker 2: thank you so much, all right, you got it. Bye,
- 2:47Speaker 2: And he then said to the cops, Wow, I was
- 2:50Speaker 2: just talking with the president. Now. Is that to impress
- 2:54Speaker 2: the cops? I was just talking to the President of
- 2:55Speaker 2: the United States. That generally, I mean, it's impressive you're
- 2:58Speaker 2: talking to the president of United States. It's been in
- 3:00Speaker 2: a situation like that. It's more confusing the cops now.
- 3:03Speaker 2: They don't know whether you're lying, what to think of you?
- 3:05Speaker 2: Why are you telling him? This a strange thing to say,
- 3:09Speaker 2: really strange thing to say. But if you look at
- 3:12Speaker 2: outside of that, you look at the bodycam footage, there's
- 3:14Speaker 2: nothing really bad in there. At one point where they
- 3:16Speaker 2: put him in the car to take them away, you
- 3:18Speaker 2: can hear him say, this is fun, all right. I
- 3:23Speaker 2: guess he's being sarcastic with himself. So he wasn't drunk.
- 3:26Speaker 2: He took a breathalyzer. There was no alcohol in his system,
- 3:30Speaker 2: so it's not like he was. You know, look really drunk.
- 3:37Speaker 2: He did have trouble with They give you this test.
- 3:39Speaker 2: We got to walk a straight line. Have you ever
- 3:40Speaker 2: tried that? Go? Try it totally sober. It's hard to do.
- 3:45Speaker 2: He wasn't good on the test, but those tests are
- 3:47Speaker 2: very hard to do. It's really tough. But we won't
- 3:52Speaker 2: hear much about it.
- 3:53Speaker 3: Now.
- 3:53Speaker 2: He'll go overseas to some rehab center. I don't know
- 3:55Speaker 2: where it's going to be. He'll go away for months
- 3:59Speaker 2: and months. Who knows, maybe I'll never come back. But
- 4:02Speaker 2: he's going to try to just stay over there as
- 4:03Speaker 2: long as possible avoid this trial, which could send him
- 4:06Speaker 2: to jail. And when you're on your third or fourth offense,
- 4:09Speaker 2: you most likely will go to jail and then the
- 4:12Speaker 2: lawyers behind the scenes will try to try to work
- 4:14Speaker 2: out something. And we were talking about the ballroom before
- 4:19Speaker 2: President Trump. This was great. He was talking about no kings.
- 4:21Speaker 2: They call me king. Now do you believe it?
- 4:23Speaker 3: No King, I'm such you're king.
- 4:25Speaker 2: I can't get a ballroom approved. So it is strange
- 4:30Speaker 2: that he can't get this ballroom approved. It's a great idea.
- 4:33Speaker 2: Presidents have always wanted the ballroom. It's kind of stupid
- 4:36Speaker 2: that we don't have a place to hold a big
- 4:38Speaker 2: event at the White House. Get if they do a
- 4:41Speaker 2: big event, they got to put a tent on the
- 4:42Speaker 2: lawn and it looks like a cheesy wedding in Long Island.
- 4:46Speaker 2: So the ballroom's a good idea, and if you're going
- 4:49Speaker 2: to do it, you might as well do it when
- 4:51Speaker 2: you got the greatest ballroom builder in the world in
- 4:54Speaker 2: the White House.
- 4:55Speaker 3: Part of his opinion.
- 4:56Speaker 2: Now the court rules against it and says he has
- 4:59Speaker 2: no authority to do it, but he's got a good
- 5:02Speaker 2: point here. It's not a government expense. If the government
- 5:06Speaker 2: were paying for it, if he was going to use
- 5:08Speaker 2: the government's money, maybe then you should get congressional approval.
- 5:12Speaker 2: But there's no government money.
- 5:14Speaker 3: Part of his opinion. But basically he's saying I need
- 5:17Speaker 3: congressional approval, and he's so wrong. This is being financed privately.
- 5:24Speaker 3: It's a donation that's being given by companies, very rich companies,
- 5:29Speaker 3: very rich people. The ballroom is a donation. It's gotten
- 5:33Speaker 3: great reviews, people love it, and presidents for one hundred
- 5:36Speaker 3: and fifty years have wanted this ballroom to be built.
- 5:38Speaker 2: So I guess the again, it's a crazy left wing judge.
- 5:42Speaker 2: He's got a bow tie on, he's got those bizarre eyebrows.
- 5:46Speaker 2: He's a weird looking guy, left wing, you know, an
- 5:49Speaker 2: NPR listening ms NOW type of a judge. So he's
- 5:53Speaker 2: just out to stop President Trump from doing anything. But
- 5:56Speaker 2: I guess the argument would be because the judge said,
- 5:59Speaker 2: he's he doesn't own the White House, he's merely the steward.
- 6:04Speaker 2: So in other words, if I guess, what he's saying is,
- 6:06Speaker 2: if you rent an Airbnb, you don't have the right
- 6:10Speaker 2: to remodel the house while you're there, build an addition
- 6:13Speaker 2: onto it. It's not your house. I guess that's what
- 6:15Speaker 2: he said. But who says Congress has the right over
- 6:18Speaker 2: the White House? You know, it's supposed to be a
- 6:20Speaker 2: separation of powers, three branches of government. Why would the
- 6:24Speaker 2: legislative branch be allowed to determine what the executive branch does.
- 6:30Speaker 2: The executive branch controls the White House, I guess, And
- 6:34Speaker 2: so the argument is to stop Now, there have been
- 6:38Speaker 2: plenty of changes to the White House without Congressional approval.
- 6:43Speaker 2: You know who it was, it FDR. Somebody decided they
- 6:47Speaker 2: want a pool, so they took one room and built
- 6:49Speaker 2: a swimming pool right in the White House, big swimming
- 6:52Speaker 2: pool without congressional approval, and a lot of stuff happened
- 6:56Speaker 2: in that pool. That's where JFK had those two hookers
- 6:59Speaker 2: come and went with him, Pixie and Dixie or whatever
- 7:01Speaker 2: their names were. That's where Lyndon Johnson would swim, you know,
- 7:05Speaker 2: that's where Joe Biden would go swimming when he was
- 7:10Speaker 2: I think when he was vice president or president he would,
- 7:12Speaker 2: but he would. This is kind of disgusting. Joe Biden
- 7:15Speaker 2: would swim naked. And part of his Secret Service detail
- 7:19Speaker 2: where female, and they hated looking at him naked. It
- 7:22Speaker 2: was awkward, it was inappropriate. And you see how shriveled
- 7:26Speaker 2: up he looks on the outside. When an old prune
- 7:28Speaker 2: is I can imagine having a look at Joe Biden
- 7:31Speaker 2: naked swimming in the pool. President Trump comes in and
- 7:35Speaker 2: has no use for a swimming pool, and he has
- 7:40Speaker 2: it covered up and he builds that the press room
- 7:43Speaker 2: was not very big. They didn't have a big press room,
- 7:45Speaker 2: so he decides to build a better one and they
- 7:47Speaker 2: cover up the pool and build it over the swimming pool.
- 7:49Speaker 2: Now all of this is without congressional approval. A lot
- 7:53Speaker 2: of things are done without congressional approval. You could argue, well,
- 7:56Speaker 2: the ballroom is different, it's so massive, it's almost the
- 7:59Speaker 2: same as the whole White House. It's such a big change.
- 8:04Speaker 2: But again, if you're allowed to change stuff without congressional approval,
- 8:07Speaker 2: I think he'll win this in the end. He should
- 8:10Speaker 2: win this in the end. To see, you'll get these
- 8:14Speaker 2: crazy judges that mean's the kind of thing. I'll go
- 8:16Speaker 2: to the Supreme Court and it'll probably come down to
- 8:21Speaker 2: executive branch can do this without congressional approval. It's their building.
- 8:26Speaker 2: Congress you know, changes things. Sometimes, they'll make a big
- 8:29Speaker 2: change in the in the Capitol building. They'll build something new,
- 8:32Speaker 2: they'll add a wing, they'll change the entrance. They'll do it.
- 8:35Speaker 2: They don't have to go get executive branch approval. They
- 8:38Speaker 2: don't have to get approval from the president. So it
- 8:40Speaker 2: should work both ways. So now, who would you say
- 8:46Speaker 2: if you ask Sharon Stone? Now, think of Sharon Stone.
- 8:48Speaker 2: She's made a lot of movies with a lot of people.
- 8:53Speaker 2: If you asked her who is the greatest kisser in Hollywood?
- 8:55Speaker 2: Who would she pick out of all her leading men?
- 8:57Speaker 2: Sharon Stone, Well, she was asked that on Radio Andy
- 9:03Speaker 2: podcast yesterday without hesitation, she said, Robert de Niro. She said,
- 9:09Speaker 2: Robert de Niro the best kisser in the business. He
- 9:12Speaker 2: was the greatest kisser. Sharon Stone, now sixty eight, said,
- 9:16Speaker 2: and Casino, there were a couple of scenes where the
- 9:18Speaker 2: kiss he gave her was unbelievable. It said he just
- 9:22Speaker 2: kissed her right out of her shoes. In fact, there
- 9:25Speaker 2: was one where the kiss was unbelievable. And then Scorsese said,
- 9:29Speaker 2: that's good, that's good, or do you want to do
- 9:31Speaker 2: another text? She goes, yeah, yeah, yeah, give me another text.
- 9:33Speaker 2: She so, Hey, it's possible de Niro could be the
- 9:37Speaker 2: greatest kisser in how it's possible. Not the brightest guy
- 9:40Speaker 2: in the world. But he's now eighty two. No response
- 9:44Speaker 2: from him yet. She also did say he was an
- 9:47Speaker 2: actor that I admired the most. He was the actor
- 9:50Speaker 2: I admired most and wanted to act with. So she
- 9:53Speaker 2: kind of idolized the guy. Sometimes the kiss is better
- 9:57Speaker 2: if it's a guy you happen to idolize that that
- 9:59Speaker 2: can make a big differen Hey, you're going to see
- 10:01Speaker 2: crime numbers coming down, mom. Donnie will take credit for that,
- 10:04Speaker 2: and he deserves credit because he's figured out a way
- 10:08Speaker 2: to bring the crime numbers down. Change the way you
- 10:10Speaker 2: count them, changed the system for counting them. It's like
- 10:14Speaker 2: the anti Semitic hate crimes. He brought the number down
- 10:17Speaker 2: by changing the way they count them. He used to
- 10:20Speaker 2: count them by whenever anybody calls nine to one one
- 10:23Speaker 2: because of an anti Semitic attack, that counts. Now he's
- 10:27Speaker 2: changed it too. There's a committee that will decide if
- 10:30Speaker 2: it was a hate crime or not, and they'll tell
- 10:32Speaker 2: you if it counts. Same thing with the crime statistics.
- 10:35Speaker 2: You can change the way they count them, and that
- 10:37Speaker 2: can bring the number down. But that doesn't stop from
- 10:39Speaker 2: bragging about it.
- 10:40Speaker 1: Each of these numbers paint a picture of a safer,
- 10:44Speaker 1: more welcoming city for our fellow New Yorkers, and they
- 10:47Speaker 1: tell a story that statistics can never fully capture. Countless
- 10:51Speaker 1: subway rides, evening walks, and trips to the park that
- 10:54Speaker 1: ended exactly as they should have, boringly without incidents.
- 10:58Speaker 2: Yeah, well again, Hey, crime is pretty good for if
- 11:01Speaker 2: you're out there in the suburbs or out there somewhere
- 11:03Speaker 2: in America. You're listening to think. So it's too dangerous
- 11:05Speaker 2: to most of Manhattan is very, very safe. There's not
- 11:09Speaker 2: a lot of crime here. There is a crime in
- 11:12Speaker 2: New York, but it's contained mostly in eight precincts. If
- 11:15Speaker 2: you're in the middle of Manhattan, if you haven't been
- 11:18Speaker 2: here in the years, and you come into right here
- 11:20Speaker 2: in Midtown and walk around, it's absolutely fine. Looks like
- 11:23Speaker 2: it looks like it always looked. Mom Donnie get into
- 11:25Speaker 2: a huge fight with the city council. We got really lucky.
- 11:30Speaker 2: You get the craziest, most left wing kook of a
- 11:33Speaker 2: socialist mayor elected. We got really lucky that somehow the
- 11:37Speaker 2: city council. I mean, they're going to elect a Democrat
- 11:39Speaker 2: to be their speaker. It's always gonna be a Democrat.
- 11:41Speaker 2: But we got really lucky. They picked a moderate, common
- 11:44Speaker 2: sense Democrat, Julie Men and she has stood up to
- 11:47Speaker 2: Mom Donnie on a lot of things. Mom Donnie wants
- 11:51Speaker 2: to go crazy raising taxes, raising property taxes. It's absolutely insane.
- 11:56Speaker 2: All you do is lose people and you lose revenue.
- 11:58Speaker 2: Every time you raise taxes and raised property tax you'll
- 12:01Speaker 2: lose revenue. People leave. You know, if you were one
- 12:04Speaker 2: of these states, Texas, Florida, there's a lot of states
- 12:07Speaker 2: where they got rid of all the taxes, and all
- 12:10Speaker 2: of a sudden they take in twice as much money
- 12:12Speaker 2: because everybody starts moving there, business booms, the economy grows.
- 12:16Speaker 2: But when he wanted to do this crazy tax raise
- 12:19Speaker 2: and he's got his army ready to go to all
- 12:22Speaker 2: billion push for it, city council speaker Julie Mennon stands
- 12:26Speaker 2: up to him and said, if you got a five
- 12:29Speaker 2: billion dollar deficit in your budget, which is out of
- 12:32Speaker 2: one hundred and twenty eight billion, you cut five billion
- 12:35Speaker 2: and costs. You don't raise the taxes, that'll just make
- 12:38Speaker 2: you lose money. You cut costs, and she proposed a
- 12:41Speaker 2: whole bunch of it's easy to do. Most of that
- 12:44Speaker 2: budget is waist fraud bloat. You could cut the budget
- 12:47Speaker 2: in half easily without cutting any services. It's just all
- 12:50Speaker 2: the waste in fraud. So she proposed some minor cuts
- 12:53Speaker 2: and he went nuts. Mom Donnie made a video, a
- 12:57Speaker 2: bunch of videos. That's what he does best. He's not
- 12:58Speaker 2: a management guy, doesn't know how to run anything, but
- 13:01Speaker 2: he's an Instagram guy. He's a TikTok guy. So he
- 13:04Speaker 2: went out and made videos attacking this, saying that it's
- 13:09Speaker 2: a doomsday scenario. City services would be cut, everybody's going
- 13:13Speaker 2: to starve to death. But he put out all these
- 13:15Speaker 2: videos and then she just lashed out at him. This
- 13:19Speaker 2: is deeply misleading, potentially harmful. Even Democrats started to attack
- 13:25Speaker 2: Mom Donnie. He said, I thought this would be different.
- 13:28Speaker 2: I thought things would be better. So Mam Donnie got
- 13:30Speaker 2: a hell of a backlash even from Democrats for his crazy,
- 13:33Speaker 2: over the top videos. And even the Socialists aren't backing
- 13:40Speaker 2: him on this, so that's pretty good news. Even the
- 13:42Speaker 2: socialists have attacked him on this. Now, the mayor's videos
- 13:46Speaker 2: he put up got two and a half million views.
- 13:49Speaker 2: That's pretty good. But a council source also said, besides
- 13:54Speaker 2: the backlash, Mom Donnie is burning a lot of bridges
- 13:57Speaker 2: with lawmakers. This is standard stuff. Budget negotiation is pretty standard.
- 14:02Speaker 2: You don't burn your bridges over this. Hey, Well take
- 14:04Speaker 2: some calls next. Eight hundred three two one zero seven
- 14:08Speaker 2: ten is the number. Eight hundred three two one zero
- 14:12Speaker 2: seven ten
