- 1:41Speaker 2: Hello and blow the whistle please, right time for the
- 1:44Speaker 2: show to start.
- 1:44Speaker 1: I didn't want to start with this story. There's a
- 1:46Speaker 1: guy who been clear to the DUI and I listen
- 1:48Speaker 1: to this. He was stopped by police. He's like, well,
- 1:54Speaker 1: I have liquor in here, so he just downs the
- 1:56Speaker 1: whole bottle of liquor. He just takes and chugs it.
- 1:59Speaker 1: So police didn check his blood alcohol level. He's BD.
- 2:05Speaker 2: It was nothing that liquor didn't have time to hadn't processed. Interesting.
- 2:11Speaker 2: Why what? What? Why did he do this, maybe open
- 2:14Speaker 2: container law.
- 2:16Speaker 1: Maybe I don't know why he did this, but he
- 2:21Speaker 1: just drank all the alcohol real quick.
- 2:23Speaker 2: Like this is like next level. So did they let
- 2:25Speaker 2: him go? He?
- 2:26Speaker 1: Uh, he got Nothing happened because he got out of
- 2:31Speaker 1: it because police weren't able to prove that his blood
- 2:32Speaker 1: alcohol content was that Also, he when he was driving,
- 2:39Speaker 1: his blood alcohol content was not high because when they
- 2:41Speaker 1: tested it there it wasn't high.
- 2:43Speaker 2: Now it doesn't mean when it later on it couldn't
- 2:45Speaker 2: get high.
- 2:45Speaker 1: But then what happens is he's like, well, if it's high,
- 2:48Speaker 1: it was because I drank all that when I was.
- 2:50Speaker 4: Just sitting Wow, this is next level thinking from this guy,
- 2:54Speaker 4: or very lucky.
- 2:58Speaker 2: Because but I think I think maybe next level. I mean, yeah,
- 3:02Speaker 2: I was.
- 3:02Speaker 1: That's like the dumbest thing to do. Okay, I got
- 3:04Speaker 1: pulled over. Let me drink all the beer in the car.
- 3:06Speaker 4: The first thing you do when you're like, if you
- 3:08Speaker 4: have anything in the car and you're getting pulled over
- 3:09Speaker 4: is how do I get rid of this? You're not
- 3:11Speaker 4: like I'm gonna drink it. That's some cheating chok stuff.
- 3:14Speaker 4: Do you remember that one? Yeah?
- 3:16Speaker 2: I know, cheating chong, But I don't remember that one.
- 3:18Speaker 4: There's a skit where they're like driving and they're like,
- 3:20Speaker 4: oh man, the cops are behind us, and so they
- 3:22Speaker 4: start eating all their drugs and they're like, yeah, here,
- 3:24Speaker 4: eat this too, man, eat this too. He's like, oh man,
- 3:26Speaker 4: I don't feel good about here. Eat that real quick,
- 3:28Speaker 4: and they eat it. And it was just an ambulance.
- 3:31Speaker 2: It was an ambulance Man super Troopers. Yeah, that's pretty funny. Yeah, funny. Yeah.
- 3:36Speaker 2: I started with that. So that's a fun one.
- 3:38Speaker 1: I don't know where we want to go first, let's
- 3:40Speaker 1: just get it out of the way with Casey here.
- 3:42Speaker 1: I guess this is good for you that Robert Sally
- 3:45Speaker 1: got fired.
- 3:45Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 3:45Speaker 5: I mean I was saying on Monday to you guys
- 3:47Speaker 5: that I was kind of hoping that they would make
- 3:49Speaker 5: a change soon. So you know, I made a couple
- 3:51Speaker 5: of calls. We talked to Ambassador Woody Johnson. I say, yo,
- 3:56Speaker 5: well are we gonna do.
- 3:58Speaker 3: Now?
- 3:58Speaker 2: But I mean I was as shocked as every buddy.
- 4:01Speaker 2: Well that's two when we saw it.
- 4:02Speaker 1: Yeah, we were in the middle of something else, like
- 4:04Speaker 1: show related, and I stopped and went Robert Solids got fired.
- 4:07Speaker 2: And Amy's like, we're raising money.
- 4:09Speaker 4: For her right now, we really weren't.
- 4:12Speaker 1: They weren't at the time, but it was something else
- 4:15Speaker 1: and I was like, we were just stunned by it. Yeah,
- 4:18Speaker 1: I mean, I'm sure Aaron Rodgers did this, right, is
- 4:20Speaker 1: Aaron right? I mean I think he pulled some pulled
- 4:21Speaker 1: some strings here and Aaron Rodgers a dirt bag, right everybody.
- 4:25Speaker 2: I mean, yeah, we don't know the guy personally, but
- 4:27Speaker 2: it seems like it he's got a lot of influence.
- 4:29Speaker 5: Let's say, I mean Nathaniel Hackett still being there softly,
- 4:32Speaker 5: very telling.
- 4:33Speaker 2: But you saw the story about what they were going
- 4:35Speaker 2: to do with Nathaniel Hackett. Yeah, that they were going
- 4:37Speaker 2: to demote him. That was the theory. Yeah, Robert was
- 4:40Speaker 2: going to call the play right like that's demoting, Like
- 4:42Speaker 2: I'll do.
- 4:42Speaker 1: The No, he's a defensive coordinator, so he wouldn't have
- 4:45Speaker 1: done that. But he the other guy used to be
- 4:47Speaker 1: oc for the Titans, was going.
- 4:48Speaker 2: To call yeah place Todd lemon Logan Monkin. Yeah, he
- 4:53Speaker 2: used to be there here, so but so he's on.
- 4:56Speaker 1: That's the word on the street is they were going
- 4:59Speaker 1: to take Nathaniel hack Get, demote him, not fire him.
- 5:02Speaker 1: But that was going to happen the same day that
- 5:03Speaker 1: Sally got fired. Yeah, yeah, I think Sally got a
- 5:06Speaker 1: raw deal.
- 5:07Speaker 2: He got a raw deal.
- 5:09Speaker 5: But I will just say, like this season is just
- 5:12Speaker 5: so important for us, you know, just to give you
- 5:15Speaker 5: guys some context. The last time that the Jets were
- 5:17Speaker 5: in the playoffs two thousand, the last game that we
- 5:21Speaker 5: played was against Pittsburgh twenty four, nineteen and twenty eleven.
- 5:24Speaker 5: Lebron hadn't won a championship yet, Entourage was still on
- 5:27Speaker 5: the air, Osama Bin Laden.
- 5:29Speaker 2: Was alive, and Game of Throats hadn't aired yet.
- 5:32Speaker 5: So it's been a long time and since we were
- 5:36Speaker 5: in the playoffs, so it was so a lot of
- 5:39Speaker 5: things have happened. So I'm just trying to give context
- 5:41Speaker 5: in that this season was very important. Sala probably shouldn't
- 5:46Speaker 5: have even started the season. I mean, that's how I
- 5:48Speaker 5: probably would have done it. But I guess what he
- 5:50Speaker 5: felt like he deserved a chance to work with Rogers.
- 5:53Speaker 5: But you know, after those last two losses, I mean,
- 5:57Speaker 5: you know, the team is just very undisciplined, a lot
- 5:59Speaker 5: of penalties, you know, just started off flat. I really
- 6:02Speaker 5: think that Denver game was really bad for him, so
- 6:06Speaker 5: let's say a couple of things.
- 6:07Speaker 2: Yeah, not a Jets fan, so not an expert in this.
- 6:12Speaker 1: But if he's so, his record was like twenty and
- 6:14Speaker 1: thirty six yeah, fifty games, so five four seasons basically.
- 6:18Speaker 2: Yeah, was one of them a COVID year?
- 6:22Speaker 1: Do we know if that? If that was he was, yeah,
- 6:24Speaker 1: I think that was his first year with Zach Wilson.
- 6:26Speaker 1: So follow me with the COVID year. Right, nothing's really
- 6:27Speaker 1: happened during a COVID year. You can't count that four
- 6:30Speaker 1: against right, So that's one. Let's last year, his first
- 6:35Speaker 1: shot to actually have the roster that he has chosen
- 6:40Speaker 1: a quarterback. That Rogers gets hurt first play the game, yeah,
- 6:44Speaker 1: completely destroys that season. So so far, I feel like
- 6:48Speaker 1: two of the four seasons have been affected by things
- 6:50Speaker 1: completely out of his control. Let's go to this year. Now. Again,
- 6:53Speaker 1: I'm not mister oh if this was different, but if
- 6:56Speaker 1: Rogers is the one that went and got him fired,
- 6:58Speaker 1: which by all accounts, it feels like there was some
- 7:00Speaker 1: influenced there. Rogers through the freaking interception that lost them
- 7:02Speaker 1: the game last week. If Greg the leg makes the
- 7:07Speaker 1: field goal, dude, there they're four and one. So again,
- 7:11Speaker 1: I'm not a big one play guy, but for this
- 7:13Speaker 1: situation because I think Aaron Rodgers a dirt bag, but
- 7:15Speaker 1: I still root for I don't know why I root
- 7:17Speaker 1: for him.
- 7:18Speaker 2: He's great on the field, I know, I don't know.
- 7:20Speaker 2: I'm so torn because I'm like I do celebrities too.
- 7:22Speaker 2: We separate the you know.
- 7:24Speaker 1: Yeah, but also I don't like him, but I still
- 7:26Speaker 1: root for him and celebrities. If I don't like him,
- 7:27Speaker 1: I just don't like him. Yeah, but I feel like
- 7:31Speaker 1: Slah should have been given this year.
- 7:34Speaker 2: Because I think this was.
- 7:35Speaker 1: The real year he had to use the last few
- 7:40Speaker 1: years the roster management. But whatever, I actually don't care.
- 7:44Speaker 2: But I just feel bad for Sala. I don't like
- 7:47Speaker 2: sEH may lose their job.
- 7:48Speaker 1: And I feel like two and three when Rogers to
- 7:50Speaker 1: a pick to lose a game, Greg the leg missed
- 7:52Speaker 1: to kick to lose a game, they were all, I mean,
- 7:55Speaker 1: there are two plays.
- 7:55Speaker 5: Away from four and one, and on Monday night we're
- 7:57Speaker 5: playing for first place. If we win, we're in first place.
- 8:00Speaker 5: So yeah, I mean, definitely an odd call, But in
- 8:03Speaker 5: just in the context of things, with how long it's been,
- 8:05Speaker 5: I get that what he wants to make a move
- 8:07Speaker 5: before things get out of hand, so.
- 8:10Speaker 1: Or before Ann Rodgers doesn't come back next year. Yeah,
- 8:12Speaker 1: you can tell they hate each other that little hug.
- 8:15Speaker 1: That's not what you do if you're just like focused
- 8:17Speaker 1: on the game.
- 8:17Speaker 5: Yeah, and that whole thing with the cadence too. I
- 8:19Speaker 5: feel like there was a lot of weird things happening.
- 8:22Speaker 5: It probably was for the best. Who do you want
- 8:24Speaker 5: to happen? I mean, I well, this is where just
- 8:27Speaker 5: you know, this is where being a Jet fan issh
- 8:29Speaker 5: just you know, it makes me angry because I wish
- 8:31Speaker 5: we folled fired Salah in the beginning of the season,
- 8:33Speaker 5: so we could could have gotten Mike Rabel or someone
- 8:36Speaker 5: of that, you know caliber. But I feel like none
- 8:38Speaker 5: of those guys are going to want to come in
- 8:40Speaker 5: halfway through the season.
- 8:41Speaker 2: Halfway through, No DC is going to be the yeah, right,
- 8:44Speaker 2: So I don't know.
- 8:45Speaker 5: I mean, people are talking about Belichick. Yeah, I'm hoping,
- 8:48Speaker 5: because I don't think Belichick's coming here, you know, a
- 8:50Speaker 5: fun for Belichick yet, But he's not gonna He's not
- 8:53Speaker 5: gonna do that.
- 8:55Speaker 2: It hit the old threshold.
- 8:56Speaker 6: Go get him somewhere else, Go get him somewhere else.
- 8:59Speaker 5: I mean, yeah, he probably would want to, you know,
- 9:01Speaker 5: get revenge on Craft, but I didn't even think he
- 9:03Speaker 5: would want to go to the Jets to.
- 9:05Speaker 1: If Wade Box can be a Yankee, Bill Belichick can
- 9:07Speaker 1: be a Jet, Bill Belichick can be.
- 9:16Speaker 2: Well, I'm happy for your loss. Thank you. Yeah, I
- 9:21Speaker 2: don't know, we'll see it's yeah. But are you not?
- 9:24Speaker 1: Are you happier or not? Because you're still sad but
- 9:26Speaker 1: you wanted it to happen. So I'm confused.
- 9:28Speaker 5: Well, I feel like I feel like he really didn't
- 9:30Speaker 5: have control of the team. I feel like there was
- 9:31Speaker 5: a lot of penalties. I feel like the team just
- 9:33Speaker 5: never came out.
- 9:34Speaker 2: Are you happy or not? I don't know how to
- 9:37Speaker 2: react to you here.
- 9:38Speaker 5: I'm happy. I'm happy a change was needed. Now, do
- 9:41Speaker 5: I think that this is going to fix everything? No,
- 9:43Speaker 5: but they needed to do something, so I'm happy that
- 9:46Speaker 5: they did something.
- 9:47Speaker 1: So all the thing about Michael Jordan's new jet he bought.
- 9:50Speaker 1: I follow this account that just talks mostly about humongous
- 9:54Speaker 1: houses that celebrities buy, but occasionally they'll put up a jet.
- 10:00Speaker 1: Michael Jackson's new seventy million dollar private golf Stream six
- 10:03Speaker 1: fifty e R with a custom half a million dollar
- 10:05Speaker 1: Air Jordan paint job. He will spend a reported one
- 10:09Speaker 1: point nine million a year to maintain the black elephant
- 10:12Speaker 1: print themed jet, which includes just for just for for
- 10:16Speaker 1: it to sit. It's gonna cost two million bucks a
- 10:17Speaker 1: year fuel, crew, maintenance, and insurance costs. So he's paying
- 10:22Speaker 1: two million a year. This is not part of the
- 10:24Speaker 1: seventy million for the jet he's going to buy. He
- 10:26Speaker 1: buys it and then it costs him two million a
- 10:28Speaker 1: year just to keep it.
- 10:31Speaker 6: Yeah, that's like Lebron spending money to keep his body
- 10:34Speaker 6: in shape a million dollars a year.
- 10:36Speaker 4: Or that's like when you buy like a Lamborghini, it
- 10:39Speaker 4: costs like so much money to to like maintenance.
- 10:42Speaker 1: It different different because a Lamborghini and keep it your
- 10:45Speaker 1: house in your own garage. This you have to actually
- 10:48Speaker 1: have a place because you don't have a hanger at
- 10:51Speaker 1: your house, so you have to pay for the hangar.
- 10:53Speaker 1: You have to keep pilots on salary, and so there's
- 10:56Speaker 1: a couple hundred thousand bucks each there.
- 10:58Speaker 4: But like our oil change are like eighty dollars, a
- 11:01Speaker 4: Lambo's oil change is like a thousand dollars.
- 11:04Speaker 1: But that comes with driving the Lamborghini. Yeah, this is
- 11:07Speaker 1: the one point nine million just to for it to sit.
- 11:10Speaker 2: How big? How big is this thing? To say, I
- 11:13Speaker 2: don't know sizes?
- 11:15Speaker 1: Yeah, like if you had asked me, if I were
- 11:17Speaker 1: to just myself, I'd go like nine inches.
- 11:19Speaker 2: But it's not true, so I'm not great. That's can
- 11:23Speaker 2: hold sixteen people. That's pretty big.
- 11:25Speaker 4: Wow, that's a big one, because like when I went
- 11:27Speaker 4: to Graceland, they have Elvis's plane. It was a jumbo
- 11:31Speaker 4: jet that had a bar, a living room.
- 11:34Speaker 2: Also from the seventies, though those were a bit different.
- 11:37Speaker 4: Oh yeah, yeah, you can you not have that now,
- 11:39Speaker 4: I feel like, but those are like.
- 11:42Speaker 2: Jeff Bezos type. They don't only make that kind of
- 11:45Speaker 2: jumbo jet anymore. It was awesome, Yeah that would have been.
- 11:49Speaker 2: But also what were there propellers on it? No? No, no,
- 11:52Speaker 2: it was like a like a seven thirty seven or whatever.
- 11:54Speaker 6: And that's that's sweet.
- 11:56Speaker 2: Another thing was the Kaitlin to Board T shirt controversy.
- 11:59Speaker 2: That's happening. It's it's the dumbest thing I've ever seen.
- 12:01Speaker 2: He's the Alabama coach. He is so they lost to Vanderbilt.
- 12:06Speaker 2: We know that. We thought it was hilarious. We rooted
- 12:09Speaker 2: for Vanderbilt.
- 12:09Speaker 1: We had coach Lee on the last episode, but now
- 12:12Speaker 1: they've turned it into apparently he's not a great coach
- 12:15Speaker 1: because he wears a T shirt when he coaches. And
- 12:18Speaker 1: for like four days, it's been what everybody's been talking about.
- 12:21Speaker 1: They were on Fine Bomb talking about it. Alabama, here's
- 12:24Speaker 1: another story. Alabama head coach Kaylen de Borr was spotted
- 12:27Speaker 1: was sporting a T shirt during the Tides upset loss
- 12:29Speaker 1: at Vanderbilt. Your thoughts onto board's outfit choice. It's the
- 12:33Speaker 1: biggest non story.
- 12:35Speaker 2: It's so dumbed. He Savan wore a polo. What's the difference.
- 12:38Speaker 2: It's the biggest non story.
- 12:39Speaker 1: And then in the press conferences they were all wearing
- 12:41Speaker 1: polos to kind of little bit like, look.
- 12:43Speaker 2: We also know how to dress right.
- 12:44Speaker 1: I was watching Matt Rule, the head coach Nebraska, talk
- 12:47Speaker 1: about this game a bit. He kind of dodged talking
- 12:52Speaker 1: about specific teams and he brought up aous state for
- 12:54Speaker 1: a second, but then he was like, never mind, I'm
- 12:55Speaker 1: gonna change to the Blue Mountain State. Because he was trying
- 12:57Speaker 1: to make a point about big schools and he goes
- 12:59Speaker 1: this is to happen more and more and more with
- 13:01Speaker 1: nil on the portal, and he goes and I'll tell
- 13:03Speaker 1: you why, he said.
- 13:04Speaker 2: Imagine, there's this five star.
- 13:07Speaker 1: Recruit and you can even say four star recruit like
- 13:09Speaker 1: it doesn't matter. And Ohio State that's who he used.
- 13:13Speaker 1: But then he changed it from Ohio State because he
- 13:14Speaker 1: didn't want to actually say at real school. He said,
- 13:17Speaker 1: Blue Mountain State. He said, Blue Mountain State wants this kid,
- 13:20Speaker 1: and they but the Blue Mountain.
- 13:21Speaker 2: State get whoever they want.
- 13:22Speaker 1: You know, they get the top twenty, they get eleven
- 13:25Speaker 1: in the top twenty that they want, he said. So
- 13:28Speaker 1: Blue Mountain State's can offer this kid seventy five thousand dollars,
- 13:30Speaker 1: which is a significant amount of money to come play
- 13:32Speaker 1: for Blue Mountain stak because you're going to get paid
- 13:34Speaker 1: well and you have a good shot to go to
- 13:35Speaker 1: the NFL.
- 13:36Speaker 2: He said.
- 13:37Speaker 1: But you have Green Mountain State, not one of the
- 13:41Speaker 1: major P four schools, but they have two hundred and
- 13:45Speaker 1: fifty thousand dollars, and they know that's going to be
- 13:49Speaker 1: their kid if they get him, he's for sure going
- 13:52Speaker 1: to be a star there immediately, so they will offer
- 13:54Speaker 1: him two hundred and fifty thousand dollars that's four times
- 13:58Speaker 1: the money of what he's making a Blue Mountain state.
- 14:02Speaker 1: So he's going to go there to a pretty good school,
- 14:05Speaker 1: get way more money, and be a start. He because
- 14:07Speaker 1: you're going to see more and more of that, because
- 14:10Speaker 1: some schools that know they're not getting all the big
- 14:12Speaker 1: will take a whole lot of money and invest in
- 14:14Speaker 1: one or two major stars, and that will allow things
- 14:17Speaker 1: like this to happen, like Vanderbilt and Alabama more and
- 14:20Speaker 1: more parody even And I was like, that's pretty good,
- 14:23Speaker 1: that rule.
- 14:24Speaker 2: It seems like I'd like him. Yeah, he gets up
- 14:26Speaker 2: on the podium, not in a T shirt. He's in
- 14:29Speaker 2: a sweat sweater. He wears a little vest at hoodie.
- 14:33Speaker 6: He's like the mini Belichick.
- 14:34Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 14:35Speaker 1: Like but he has like a real personality about him.
- 14:38Speaker 1: And he was talking about some of these coaches, you know,
- 14:39Speaker 1: they bring players with them, some of the offensive defensive coordinators,
- 14:42Speaker 1: and they move up, they bring players with them, And
- 14:44Speaker 1: he was talking about I didn't got to bring anybody.
- 14:45Speaker 1: I could bring Christian McCaffrey with me when I came.
- 14:47Speaker 1: We had to start over here. So but I liked
- 14:50Speaker 1: how he explained why teams like Vanderbilt will occasionally beat
- 14:53Speaker 1: the Alabamas because they will have three or four massive
- 14:56Speaker 1: stars because they're investing those mon that money and those
- 14:58Speaker 1: big players, where teams like Ohio State are putting a
- 15:01Speaker 1: lot of money in a lot of players and they
- 15:02Speaker 1: have more money.
- 15:04Speaker 2: But all it takes this.
- 15:05Speaker 1: One or two or three special players and some really
- 15:06Speaker 1: great role players to have the occasional big upset.
- 15:08Speaker 4: Who are the stars in Vandy? I mean he was
- 15:12Speaker 4: in New Mexico State. Yeah, really a star. He just
- 15:15Speaker 4: played audio, but he's played awesome more games. They beat
- 15:18Speaker 4: Virginia Tech, they almost beat.
- 15:19Speaker 1: Missouri except for the overtime Phil goal that was missed.
- 15:22Speaker 1: Like he's been playing really great all year. So he
- 15:26Speaker 1: wasn't even using that as the only example. He's said,
- 15:28Speaker 1: You're going to see more and more of that because
- 15:30Speaker 1: of what the culture is now. So I think it's
- 15:34Speaker 1: fun as long as it's not Arkansas again beat. We
- 15:36Speaker 1: used to do that before. And I don't worry Toledo
- 15:39Speaker 1: would come into beat. Western Kentucky would coming.
- 15:42Speaker 2: For that one. It is terrible sucks.
- 15:45Speaker 1: Yeah, why don't we do the tittletottle? I got a
- 15:49Speaker 1: couple other things I want to talk about, and then
- 15:51Speaker 1: we have the Boise State head coach to Danielson.
- 15:53Speaker 2: Coach Danielson, it makes.
- 15:54Speaker 1: Me feel like like Friday Kid that too.
- 16:00Speaker 2: Every time I say it, I feel like I can't
- 16:02Speaker 2: unhear it. Now, Okay, let's do the tittle tattle.
- 16:07Speaker 1: Stupid his name ever? The tittle Tattle.
- 16:15Speaker 6: Texas and Oklahoma facing off this weekend. What is your
- 16:17Speaker 6: favorite non Arkansas rivalry game to watch?
- 16:21Speaker 2: It's Texas in Oklahoma.
- 16:22Speaker 1: Oh yeah, man, just for personal reasons whyfe's massive Ou fan.
- 16:26Speaker 1: Lived in Austin for a long time, have a lot
- 16:27Speaker 1: of fans there. It's regionally close. I think depending on
- 16:31Speaker 1: where you live, Michigan, Ohio state is the big one
- 16:35Speaker 1: or Texas Oklahoma is the big one.
- 16:38Speaker 2: Those are the two it feels like to me would
- 16:41Speaker 2: be that top tier rivalry.
- 16:43Speaker 1: You also probably have Auburn Alabama, but I would say
- 16:47Speaker 1: that's not as big as if you're an Auburn fan
- 16:50Speaker 1: or Alabama fan, I feel you. The problem with that
- 16:52Speaker 1: game though, is they're both in one state, so it
- 16:56Speaker 1: doesn't cross state lines for that hatred where Texas massive state,
- 17:05Speaker 1: Oklahoma a different state, so there's a regional like yeah,
- 17:12Speaker 1: geographically two schools, two different.
- 17:14Speaker 2: States and they meet in the middle in Dallas. I
- 17:17Speaker 2: hate that tough. What do you mean that's the middle?
- 17:18Speaker 2: That's like that. I wish they would. I wish they
- 17:20Speaker 2: would play in each other's.
- 17:21Speaker 1: Home where it'll be just Berserka. Every year one of
- 17:25Speaker 1: them had to go into the others and it would
- 17:26Speaker 1: just and it.
- 17:27Speaker 2: It's crazy. But the Cotton Bolt sucks, it's old, it's
- 17:31Speaker 2: run down.
- 17:31Speaker 1: I wish they would go to Norman and Austin because
- 17:35Speaker 1: you a rivalry game like that that is going into
- 17:38Speaker 1: some unemy territory, and that's what's fun. That's why I'm
- 17:41Speaker 1: glad the Ark is all Texas, A and M series
- 17:43Speaker 1: is done in Dallas.
- 17:44Speaker 2: It just felt generic.
- 17:47Speaker 1: I like, if we go to College Station, they're nuts
- 17:50Speaker 1: there and but that's also fun.
- 17:52Speaker 2: Same thing in Fanville, Like they come to us, we're
- 17:54Speaker 2: going to be crazy.
- 17:55Speaker 1: But I would go Texas owe you, and then I'd
- 17:59Speaker 1: probably go Michigan in Ohio state.
- 18:01Speaker 2: But like the USC Notre Dame. That doesn't excite me
- 18:04Speaker 2: at all.
- 18:04Speaker 6: Did he used to like the Bush No Liner Brady
- 18:08Speaker 6: Quinn days.
- 18:08Speaker 1: It would be a good game, but the rivalry didn't
- 18:10Speaker 1: matter to me because I don't those schools never resonated
- 18:14Speaker 1: with me from the South. And California is not a
- 18:15Speaker 1: big college football state anyway, so I don't like the
- 18:17Speaker 1: whole states like, yeah, we're big UFC. Guy, that state
- 18:20Speaker 1: really doesn't care about college football.
- 18:22Speaker 4: How did that start too? You have a West Coast
- 18:24Speaker 4: team in an Indiana team.
- 18:25Speaker 1: I was listening to Lou Holtz talking like it, and
- 18:29Speaker 1: I don't know about the rivalry, but I was listening
- 18:31Speaker 1: to Lou Holts talk about and this is like maybe
- 18:33Speaker 1: the early nineties, how USC would play a major game
- 18:36Speaker 1: in the four quadrants of the country because not USC
- 18:39Speaker 1: Notre Dame. Because Notre Dame was the biggest national team,
- 18:43Speaker 1: right they had a network deal, Yeah, in NBC they
- 18:45Speaker 1: were the one.
- 18:46Speaker 2: So they would go and play a top team.
- 18:47Speaker 1: In the Northwest, the Northeast, they played Southeast, they'd get
- 18:52Speaker 1: Notre Dame. And I think just so many big games
- 18:55Speaker 1: between the two storied programs is what created that rivalry
- 18:58Speaker 1: more than like somebody's hooking up with someone's sister. Guys,
- 19:01Speaker 1: you can awfully get mad or something like that, but
- 19:03Speaker 1: I think it's just when two teams play and there's
- 19:05Speaker 1: often something on the line for it and it happens.
- 19:07Speaker 2: Over and over and over and over again.
- 19:10Speaker 1: That's where the rivalry tends to come from more so
- 19:13Speaker 1: than anything personal. Where like Alabama Auburn, that's personal because
- 19:16Speaker 1: they're well next door to each other. Here, Texas, Oklahoma,
- 19:19Speaker 1: because the states are connected to each other.
- 19:22Speaker 2: Oregon, Oregon State.
- 19:22Speaker 1: I don't only feel like that's a massive one for
- 19:24Speaker 1: us because Oregon State occasionally they're really good, and Oregon's
- 19:28Speaker 1: been really good twenty last twenty year. But that's so far,
- 19:33Speaker 1: and it's up in the corner so much, and the
- 19:35Speaker 1: time zone is so weird that it's hard for the
- 19:37Speaker 1: rest of America to get involved in that one.
- 19:39Speaker 2: What's the Florida one? Is it Miami Florida?
- 19:41Speaker 1: The Florida that I think it was Georgia Florida, which
- 19:44Speaker 1: is a big one, the biggest, the biggest cocktail party.
- 19:46Speaker 1: They don't even have that game on their campuses, Like
- 19:48Speaker 1: that's a pretty big one. Wait, what do you mean
- 19:51Speaker 1: the world's largest cocktail party?
- 19:52Speaker 2: Yeah, you never heard that. Uh uh, that's what they
- 19:54Speaker 2: call it. Yeah, Georgia Florida.
- 19:56Speaker 1: It's Georgia Florida, and I do not unless they've changed it.
- 19:59Speaker 1: We get a fact check on me here. I do
- 20:01Speaker 1: not believe they played that game in either home stadium.
- 20:04Speaker 2: Oh I thought they played in Atlanta.
- 20:06Speaker 1: They could, but that's not one of their home stadiums,
- 20:08Speaker 1: right right, right, So Mikey, let me know if you
- 20:10Speaker 1: find an answer to that. The world's largest cocktail party.
- 20:13Speaker 6: Wasn't it Georgia or Florida who scored the touchdown against
- 20:15Speaker 6: one of the others and they all ran on the
- 20:17Speaker 6: field to celebrate and pissed them off. I think against
- 20:19Speaker 6: Florida it was Georgia. No Sean Marino days.
- 20:22Speaker 2: That sounds familiar.
- 20:23Speaker 1: Yeah, see that it's in Jacksonville, Okay, so in neither
- 20:26Speaker 1: schools in Jacksonville?
- 20:27Speaker 6: What the heck?
- 20:28Speaker 1: Because Florida's in Gainesville, yeah, and Georgia's in Athens. As
- 20:34Speaker 1: you never heard the world's largest cocktail party? No, you're
- 20:36Speaker 1: not sound fun though from this part of the country though.
- 20:38Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 20:39Speaker 1: So, but that's also not one of the major major ones,
- 20:41Speaker 1: And I wouldn't expect you to know that unless you
- 20:42Speaker 1: are like regionally a part of the environment.
- 20:44Speaker 2: Same thing with like Oregon Oregon state, right, what do
- 20:46Speaker 2: you mean?
- 20:46Speaker 6: Yeah, Like that's a lot bigger for me.
- 20:48Speaker 2: Tennessee fan what do you mean.
- 20:49Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, he's like a toddler Tennessee fan,
- 20:52Speaker 1: like he just started.
- 20:52Speaker 2: He's just growing into it.
- 20:54Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 20:54Speaker 2: You can you drink at college games now?
- 20:56Speaker 4: So I mean, man, I'm seeing like close ups of
- 20:58Speaker 4: people and they've got tallos in their.
- 21:00Speaker 2: Hands, like that's cool.
- 21:02Speaker 1: By the past five to seven years, they've really started
- 21:04Speaker 1: to allow alcohol sales in stadiums, and.
- 21:07Speaker 2: We had to sneak that in.
- 21:08Speaker 4: Back in our day, you did, oh yeah, oh have
- 21:10Speaker 4: binocular flask. We'd always have a buddy who had that
- 21:13Speaker 4: dumb thing that he ordered online.
- 21:15Speaker 6: Or a belt filled with alcohol. All right, next question,
- 21:19Speaker 6: A winner's the four straight and back in the top ten?
- 21:22Speaker 6: Is Clemson quietly sneaking back into title conversation?
- 21:25Speaker 1: You know, I think what's interesting about anybody that's not
- 21:27Speaker 1: Texas or Ohio State is they have a chance. I
- 21:30Speaker 1: think there are two teams so far that I've seen
- 21:32Speaker 1: that seem to be better than everybody else, and it's
- 21:34Speaker 1: Ohio State in Texas. And I hate to say that
- 21:37Speaker 1: about Texas. I hate Texas. I respect Texas, I hate Texas.
- 21:40Speaker 6: I think we hit one of those every episode.
- 21:43Speaker 2: Especially when I have to compliment them.
- 21:45Speaker 1: But I always say, the team you hate the most
- 21:47Speaker 1: is the team you respect because you wouldn't hate him
- 21:49Speaker 1: if you didn't care about him.
- 21:50Speaker 2: It's like Tennessee, I hate Tennessee. Oh oh Kevin.
- 21:53Speaker 1: I know he's gonna beat me up, But why do
- 21:57Speaker 1: I hate him? Because I respect him? They beat us
- 21:59Speaker 1: some big games, them in big games. Like if the
- 22:01Speaker 1: team you hate, no one will admit that. Oklahoma Texas
- 22:04Speaker 1: won't admit that about each other. The team you hate
- 22:06Speaker 1: the most, you respect them because you wouldn't hate them
- 22:08Speaker 1: if they didn't beat you sometimes and like embarrass you
- 22:11Speaker 1: or like tak crap. So I think Texas and Ohio
- 22:15Speaker 1: State are the two teams that are a bit above
- 22:16Speaker 1: everyone right now. Texas is not even their starting quarterback
- 22:21Speaker 1: and they haven't played anybody really. But also there's like
- 22:23Speaker 1: no if Arch has to play this weekend, which I'm
- 22:27Speaker 1: not sure where that is right this second, they're fine
- 22:29Speaker 1: as far as they'd be.
- 22:30Speaker 2: Fine either way, yours or Arch.
- 22:33Speaker 1: So yes, Clemson's in because I think anybody that has
- 22:37Speaker 1: a loss, possibly two in a power for conference, and
- 22:40Speaker 1: I think if you have two and you're a team
- 22:44Speaker 1: that is given credit automatically for being a winner in
- 22:47Speaker 1: the past, you're going to have an advantage.
- 22:48Speaker 2: So the answer is yes. They beat app State, NC State,
- 22:53Speaker 2: which is not good.
- 22:53Speaker 1: They're not good by the way. Before the season started
- 22:55Speaker 1: we thought they might be good. They were ranked. They're terrible,
- 22:58Speaker 1: Stanford fine, Florida two rib So they haven't beat anybody.
- 23:02Speaker 1: But all they have to do is keep winning against
- 23:05Speaker 1: teams that don't even matter. All they have to do
- 23:07Speaker 1: is win, and yes, you get in the playoff. Who
- 23:09Speaker 1: the heck knows how this thing's gonna go. So are
- 23:11Speaker 1: they in the conversation? Are we talking about him now?
- 23:15Speaker 2: I guess they are in the conversation. I guess, So
- 23:18Speaker 2: the answer is yes.
- 23:19Speaker 1: I think what's cool is there's probably like twenty five
- 23:21Speaker 1: teams in the conversation right now. Yeah, they're even mentioning Arkansas.
- 23:25Speaker 1: It's like a maybe, who possibly could let's go.
- 23:27Speaker 2: But it's teams like that, they're four and two that.
- 23:31Speaker 1: If they play wonderfully the rest of the way, what's
- 23:34Speaker 1: six more games.
- 23:35Speaker 2: Don't sleep on Sam Euston State man in the conversation.
- 23:39Speaker 2: We're not even talking about it.
- 23:40Speaker 6: They're out.
- 23:40Speaker 2: We will refuse to talk about I just brought him
- 23:42Speaker 2: in the conversation. I haven't said anything. I'm not conversating
- 23:45Speaker 2: about Sam Houston's day.
- 23:46Speaker 6: Next up, all right, NFL, do you think the call
- 23:49Speaker 6: to start Drake may for the Patriots? It's a coach's
- 23:52Speaker 6: decision or Robert Krafft.
- 23:54Speaker 1: I would assume it's Crafts because the general interest in
- 23:58Speaker 1: when they lost that game to the Dolphins, and I
- 24:00Speaker 1: know you want to lose. You don't want to lose,
- 24:02Speaker 1: but it's better after you lose that you lost.
- 24:04Speaker 6: It was the first time I've ever watched them lose
- 24:06Speaker 6: and be like, Okay.
- 24:08Speaker 1: You don't want them to lose, but when they do,
- 24:10Speaker 1: you're not hurt as badly because you know it's a
- 24:13Speaker 1: net game. Another loss is another closer spot, hopefully to
- 24:17Speaker 1: the top of the draft. I would assume it's Crafts
- 24:20Speaker 1: because the interest is waning period on the Patriots after Week.
- 24:23Speaker 2: One, when you guys win that game and you're like, oh,
- 24:25Speaker 2: maybe they might be good. You're not.
- 24:27Speaker 1: It seems like a long time again, Yeah you're not.
- 24:30Speaker 1: They're averaging what nine ten points a game? That's it.
- 24:35Speaker 1: So you have to have some sort of splash. What's
- 24:39Speaker 1: this What's going to suck is the splash is going
- 24:41Speaker 1: to be Drake Mane's guts on the ground.
- 24:44Speaker 2: You don't want that. Don't want They're playing the Texans
- 24:47Speaker 2: Weekend two.
- 24:48Speaker 4: Look, I just picked up their defense in Fantasys.
- 24:51Speaker 2: You still play Fantasy with defensive? Yeah, it's one league
- 24:53Speaker 2: that my brother started.
- 24:55Speaker 4: You still play with kickers the kicker too, and.
- 24:58Speaker 6: Kickers just got rid of the defense in my big
- 25:01Speaker 6: one I've been doing for twelve years. This year people
- 25:05Speaker 6: hate it. I'm like, how do you hate that?
- 25:06Speaker 1: No, you have to worry about like fluky flukes, especially
- 25:09Speaker 1: with Kickers.
- 25:09Speaker 2: Kickers.
- 25:11Speaker 1: Yeah, the first time we didn't play with them, I
- 25:13Speaker 1: was like, oh, we should have never played with them. Yeah,
- 25:14Speaker 1: it's terrible.
- 25:15Speaker 6: Yeah, I agree.
- 25:16Speaker 2: So it's probably crafts.
- 25:19Speaker 1: It needs to be, because I'm kind of interested and
- 25:23Speaker 1: I'll look to see otherwise.
- 25:24Speaker 2: No way. Ja cob Rissette seems like a really nice guy.
- 25:28Speaker 2: When you got a breakfacing with that does.
- 25:29Speaker 1: Sounded like a really nice guy, sweet guy, and also
- 25:31Speaker 1: didn't didn't really have a shot. The offensive line wasn't
- 25:34Speaker 1: good to start, got worse as attrition set in. They
- 25:39Speaker 1: were losing linemen, but also not really known for his arm,
- 25:44Speaker 1: so it wasn't like defenses really had to do much
- 25:45Speaker 1: like just stack the box. Stop everybody hurt everybody.
- 25:49Speaker 6: Yeah, and they're I mean they're receivers are just you
- 25:52Speaker 6: don't have good Yeah, you don't have anything, don't have
- 25:53Speaker 6: any but you can just throw it up to and
- 25:55Speaker 6: just you know what I mean, he'll win the fifty
- 25:56Speaker 6: fifty ball.
- 25:57Speaker 2: You don't have anything, all right?
- 25:57Speaker 6: One more last one as touchdown underdogs on the road
- 26:00Speaker 6: in Baltimore this weekend? Is this the game where Jayden
- 26:02Speaker 6: Daniels finally looks like a rookie?
- 26:04Speaker 1: I learned my lesson last year because every week I
- 26:08Speaker 1: was like, Texans, this is not gonna go well for
- 26:11Speaker 1: either out. You guys have been on a run strout
- 26:14Speaker 1: times over. I just I could just record myself. I
- 26:17Speaker 1: could have played it every week and been wrong and
- 26:19Speaker 1: been wrong. So I don't know. I really it's I
- 26:24Speaker 1: would have said every week up until this. The answer
- 26:26Speaker 1: is yes, I can't say that anymore because man, he
- 26:29Speaker 1: looks really good. The only thing that scares me about
- 26:32Speaker 1: him is he's so thin. He looks like you break
- 26:35Speaker 1: him in half. It's like first time watched Kevin Durant
- 26:37Speaker 1: playing in the NBA. I'm like there's no way. But
- 26:40Speaker 1: he also was thin at Texas and he was awesome
- 26:41Speaker 1: left ups freshman year. You know, ah lah lah I
- 26:43Speaker 1: just lost Syracuse in the finals, right in the championship game,
- 26:46Speaker 1: final four.
- 26:47Speaker 6: To Carmelo or no, that was he was after Carmela,
- 26:49Speaker 6: wasn't he?
- 26:49Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't know. Maybe you looked that up. Maybe
- 26:51Speaker 2: they didn't lose Syracuse.
- 26:52Speaker 1: Maybe I'm just thinking of a whole wrong, wrong era.
- 26:56Speaker 1: I think the Ravens probably win. But Jaden Daniels was awesome.
- 26:59Speaker 1: He's got a love passing yards, four touchdowns, only two interceptions.
- 27:02Speaker 1: That's the craziest part to me, is the only the
- 27:03Speaker 1: two interceptions. It's not like four passing touchdowns is a ton,
- 27:07Speaker 1: but only two interceptions. He's also rushed for three hundred
- 27:09Speaker 1: yards and four touchdowns. The rushing I was watching, what's interesting.
- 27:15Speaker 1: He has breakish away speed. I'm not gonna go full
- 27:19Speaker 1: breakaway speed, but he has breakish away speed or if
- 27:22Speaker 1: you get him step and a half, you're not going
- 27:23Speaker 1: to catch him. I was watching, uh, Seattle, and that
- 27:27Speaker 1: was not a good game for Seattle.
- 27:28Speaker 2: They should that was not a.
- 27:29Speaker 1: Good game, right, But I was watching because they ended
- 27:32Speaker 1: up losing that game, right, yes, m hm. I was
- 27:34Speaker 1: watching Geno Smith run on one of his He doesn't
- 27:36Speaker 1: have breakaway speed. He has not even breakash away he
- 27:39Speaker 1: has He's got a few steps, he'll get a bunch
- 27:41Speaker 1: of yards. But I was watching Jackson Smith and Jigba
- 27:43Speaker 1: and they kept showing it back or you know, sometimes
- 27:45Speaker 1: somebody catching a punt will act like he's catching it
- 27:47Speaker 1: the ball's not even to keep the defenders from going
- 27:50Speaker 1: to the ball. Jackson Smith and Jigba was acting like
- 27:53Speaker 1: the ball was in the air, and two defenders were
- 27:55Speaker 1: on him, still chasing him and over his shoulder on
- 27:57Speaker 1: the right side, which Geno Smith running was rushing down
- 28:00Speaker 1: for thirty yards. He kept their cornerback from even looking.
- 28:03Speaker 2: It was awesome, hilarious. It was awesome. Really, what do
- 28:05Speaker 2: you see? Uh?
- 28:06Speaker 6: They lost in the second round to usc.
- 28:09Speaker 1: Okay, I'm stupid they lost that second on Vin Durant.
- 28:12Speaker 1: I just have like revisionous history of like he was
- 28:14Speaker 1: awesome there. The four seed lost of the Texas loses
- 28:16Speaker 1: Syracuse in the finals though of a championship.
- 28:19Speaker 2: We beat Kansas with mellow. If that's what you're talking about,
- 28:21Speaker 2: have no idea.
- 28:22Speaker 1: I didn't talk about Yeah, who's the final four?
- 28:24Speaker 6: This one?
- 28:25Speaker 1: No that when Mellow was played, because Mellow did not
- 28:27Speaker 1: win the championship.
- 28:29Speaker 2: Did they did?
- 28:30Speaker 1: I don't even know.
- 28:31Speaker 2: Yeah, we beat Kansas.
- 28:33Speaker 1: Well you can't see we.
- 28:34Speaker 2: I don't know who we is. We see you, Chris.
- 28:36Speaker 2: He went to Schoolma Mater. Yeah, who was the final four?
- 28:39Speaker 6: Texas was in the final four that year. I guess
- 28:41Speaker 6: I just assumed Texas lost to Syracuse.
- 28:43Speaker 2: Oh so Texas did play Syracuse. I just assumed Kevin
- 28:45Speaker 2: Durant was only tay.
- 28:46Speaker 6: Yeah that was before Durant gotcha.
- 28:47Speaker 1: I'm not totally stupid, guys, only half because I felt
- 28:50Speaker 1: like something was clicking in there.
- 28:51Speaker 2: Yeah, I just didn't know. Okay, is that it?
- 28:54Speaker 6: Yeah, that's it?
- 28:54Speaker 2: All right, that's tittle tittle, Thank.
- 28:55Speaker 1: You, Sidna the Tantle town not.
- 29:03Speaker 3: All.
- 29:03Speaker 2: Let's build a parlay. There is no Arkansas game, so
- 29:05Speaker 2: I don't have to say we're not doing the Arkansas
- 29:07Speaker 2: game this way. Okay, they're resting.
- 29:11Speaker 1: Yeah, I feel like Tennessee has something to prove. They're
- 29:15Speaker 1: minus fifteen against Florida in Knoxville. I'm taking Tennessee minus fifteen.
- 29:25Speaker 1: The tricky thing is that at Red River rivalry. Texas
- 29:28Speaker 1: is a two touchdown favorite. They're a two touchdown favorite,
- 29:33Speaker 1: but that is a rivalry game. But Texas I think
- 29:36Speaker 1: is a lot better than Oklahoma. Oklahoma's offense they don't exist.
- 29:40Speaker 1: They have a really good defense, but their offense is struggled.
- 29:46Speaker 1: I'm gonna go Alabama minus twenty one. They're back in
- 29:52Speaker 1: Tuscaloosa against South Carolina. I'm going with two teams that
- 29:55Speaker 1: were embarrassed or are in my mind, gonna come out and
- 29:58Speaker 1: be angry. I'm betting not anger emotion. Yeah, anger an.
- 30:02Speaker 2: Emotion Texas or No. I can't. I can't touch that game.
- 30:05Speaker 1: I can't.
- 30:08Speaker 2: What was the first one?
- 30:08Speaker 1: Tennessee minus fifteen against Florida? Alabama minus twenty one against
- 30:15Speaker 1: South Carolina, and I'm going to take Penn State money
- 30:21Speaker 1: line at.
- 30:21Speaker 2: USC traveling across the country for that.
- 30:26Speaker 1: Yeah, the favorite, And I could go with the USC
- 30:29Speaker 1: emotional angle, but I'm not going to. Even though I
- 30:31Speaker 1: use it for the last two, I'm gonna not use
- 30:33Speaker 1: it here for no reason other than I just yeah,
- 30:37Speaker 1: that would be my three there not bad.
- 30:39Speaker 4: You're looking at plus five eighty four right now, So
- 30:41Speaker 4: if you bet ten bucks.
- 30:44Speaker 2: Ten dollars to win sixty eight forty solid. Yes all
- 30:49Speaker 2: if you win, Hey, good joby. Why didn't do anything? Yeah? Man, right,

- 31:36Speaker 1: our talk with Boise State head coach Spencer Danielson.
- 31:40Speaker 2: You got it. You have to now. Coach Danielson and
- 31:43Speaker 2: is in his first season as head coach.
- 31:45Speaker 1: Has moved up like he started as like grad assistant
- 31:49Speaker 1: all the.
- 31:50Speaker 2: Way up to head coach. Pretty amazing. He's also in
- 31:52Speaker 2: his thirties.
- 31:53Speaker 1: Very thirty six, maybe thirty.
- 31:54Speaker 2: Five, five thirty five. Oh my goodness, I'm trying to
- 31:56Speaker 2: add a year. Dangs.
- 31:58Speaker 1: So they're four and one. Ashton Genty the favorite for
- 32:01Speaker 1: the Heisman right now. He's the running back.
- 32:03Speaker 2: He's a beast.
- 32:04Speaker 1: The only loss for Boise was a game winning field
- 32:06Speaker 1: goal by Oregon that game. I remember watching Boise led
- 32:11Speaker 1: most of the game. Yeah, I bet Oregon to cover,
- 32:13Speaker 1: and I remember being angry at Bois the whole time,
- 32:15Speaker 1: and it was over the covering because Oregon was a fake.
- 32:17Speaker 1: I remember like twenty one points, remember. So, Yeah, we're
- 32:21Speaker 1: super happy to have Spencer Daniels Danielson. You gotta watch
- 32:27Speaker 1: if you haven't seen Bois play.
- 32:28Speaker 2: They're awesome again. Thanks to coach Spencer Danielson for joining
- 32:32Speaker 2: us here. He is coach. How's it going, I'm doing good?
- 32:35Speaker 3: How are you guys doing this? Fun? Monday morning?
- 32:36Speaker 1: Hey?
- 32:37Speaker 2: Do Hey? What is your Monday like? Is it different
- 32:39Speaker 2: after a win versus We'll just say when it's.
- 32:41Speaker 1: Not a win.
- 32:42Speaker 3: I think probably in my heart it is.
- 32:44Speaker 1: I can tell you, yeah, you're already onto the next week.
- 32:46Speaker 1: Are you doing new stuff right now?
- 32:48Speaker 3: We're on to the next week. Like where their staff
- 32:50Speaker 3: like we so we don't practice on Sundays. I want
- 32:53Speaker 3: to give our players an opportunity to go to church
- 32:56Speaker 3: and get some time, so we will we will evaluate
- 32:59Speaker 3: our game played on Sunday or on Saturday today and
- 33:03Speaker 3: then move on to our oponent. We practice Monday night.
- 33:05Speaker 3: So for the coaches, they're moved on to Hawaii and
- 33:07Speaker 3: I'm kind of still finishing up some things that I
- 33:09Speaker 3: want to make sure the messaging from the game we
- 33:12Speaker 3: just played and then flipping the switch and moving on
- 33:14Speaker 3: to the next game.
- 33:15Speaker 1: Was watching some of the Utah State game and I
- 33:18Speaker 1: got out of him pretty quick.
- 33:19Speaker 2: But you pulled Ashton, I don't know after the half.
- 33:23Speaker 1: Possibly I don't remember exactly when you pulled him, But
- 33:26Speaker 1: I mean video game numbers, right, is it that versus
- 33:29Speaker 1: getting him making sure he's healthy?
- 33:31Speaker 2: Like where does that kind of fall into your mind?
- 33:33Speaker 3: Yeah, to be honest, don't really look at the numbers.
- 33:35Speaker 3: You know, he's such a vital part to our team
- 33:37Speaker 3: and not only just what he does on that field
- 33:41Speaker 3: in regards to the r or the impact that he
- 33:43Speaker 3: has at the nation sees. Now, I mean, guys, he's
- 33:46Speaker 3: he's unanimously our team leader. I mean, he's the unanimous captain.
- 33:51Speaker 3: He's the first one in the building, last to leave.
- 33:53Speaker 3: And so there's so many things for me just from
- 33:55Speaker 3: protecting him, because it's not just oh, he's such a
- 33:57Speaker 3: good running back. I got protect him in regards to
- 34:01Speaker 3: who is because you know, that's our team. He's a
- 34:03Speaker 3: leader of our team. When you're when your best player
- 34:06Speaker 3: is your hardest worker, you always have a shot. So
- 34:09Speaker 3: at that point, going to halftime, you know the game
- 34:11Speaker 3: was in a good place, not by by any means
- 34:13Speaker 3: form more, but it's also we're a developmental team, like
- 34:15Speaker 3: we got to get other guys in there. We got
- 34:17Speaker 3: to get them game reps so we can evaluate them.
- 34:20Speaker 3: Because it's easy for people to say what they want
- 34:22Speaker 3: to do when they get in the game and what
- 34:24Speaker 3: they tell their parents they're going to do when they
- 34:26Speaker 3: get in the game, and now we have film to
- 34:28Speaker 3: be able to evaluate those guys. We were able to
- 34:30Speaker 3: play twenty five players on offense on Saturday, huge deal
- 34:34Speaker 3: for the development of our entire team. For the future.
- 34:36Speaker 3: Able to play a bunch of freshmen sophomore so is
- 34:39Speaker 3: huge when.
- 34:40Speaker 2: The program's firing on.
- 34:41Speaker 1: Most are all cylinders and you've got a guy that
- 34:44Speaker 1: is one or two depending on who you talk to
- 34:45Speaker 1: in the heis and race are just media inquiries and
- 34:49Speaker 1: even media at games.
- 34:50Speaker 2: Is it a whole different level.
- 34:52Speaker 1: Yeah, it is.
- 34:52Speaker 3: I mean, especially you know at Boise State Bronco Nation,
- 34:55Speaker 3: and our fan base is second to none, and so
- 34:59Speaker 3: for me with our with our team, I mean, our
- 35:00Speaker 3: games are gonna be sold out, The energy is gonna
- 35:02Speaker 3: be through the roof. And then obviously the more successful
- 35:04Speaker 3: you are, the more you know, media and interviews and
- 35:09Speaker 3: essentially outside noise comes in. And something I was talking
- 35:11Speaker 3: to our team about last week is it's all it's earned.
- 35:15Speaker 3: I mean, our guys are doing some really good things.
- 35:17Speaker 3: But we've also only played five games, and so even
- 35:20Speaker 3: all the rankings and the Heisman and the projections of
- 35:24Speaker 3: college Football Playoff, Mountain West Champion, all these things, like, guys,
- 35:27Speaker 3: we played five games. And I brought one of our
- 35:30Speaker 3: players up onto in the front of the team room
- 35:34Speaker 3: last week and I started just hitting them on, oh man,
- 35:36Speaker 3: you guys are top twenty five and I started hitting
- 35:38Speaker 3: his shoulder. Oh you guys have got a heisman. Ridder
- 35:41Speaker 3: kept hitting his shoulder and guys were kind of looking
- 35:43Speaker 3: at me, like what is coach doing? And I'm like,
- 35:45Speaker 3: every time you continue to get these paths in the back,
- 35:47Speaker 3: it's little by a little hitting this chip off your shoulder.
- 35:50Speaker 3: And by the end of the year, are you gonna
- 35:51Speaker 3: have butter and you're just gonna be this soft team
- 35:53Speaker 3: because just keep listening to these outside noise. So it's
- 35:56Speaker 3: a fine line for me because it is I'm a
- 35:58Speaker 3: positive energy, you know, glass half full guy, Like if
- 36:01Speaker 3: there's a mountain to climb, let's go attack it. But
- 36:04Speaker 3: it's also like, as a reality, we've played five games,
- 36:06Speaker 3: and just like anything after a game, it's what do
- 36:08Speaker 3: we learn and where we grow? And you're a new
- 36:11Speaker 3: team every single week. And you see that in college
- 36:13Speaker 3: football from teams that are projected to win by twenty
- 36:16Speaker 3: and lose or however things go. Each week's in new week,
- 36:20Speaker 3: and it's the biggest game because it's our next one.
- 36:23Speaker 3: But especially in this community which loves their football team,
- 36:26Speaker 3: there's been success here for decades. It's keeping our guys
- 36:30Speaker 3: focused on the main thing, which is learning and growing,
- 36:33Speaker 3: because it's easy to get caught up in all the
- 36:34Speaker 3: paths on the back. And then little by little, that
- 36:37Speaker 3: chip on your shoulder, that blue collar mentality which is
- 36:40Speaker 3: wired into being here, can little by little good whittled away.
- 36:44Speaker 1: Will you show them anything from like Vanderbilt beating Alabama
- 36:48Speaker 1: or Arkansas beat Tennessee and just be like, guys, this
- 36:49Speaker 1: can happen if you're not ready.
- 36:51Speaker 3: Oh yeah, I mean, I A'll show them things from
- 36:53Speaker 3: this year. I'll show I mean, even on my Friday
- 36:56Speaker 3: meeting last week, I showed them three or four different
- 37:00Speaker 3: clips of even years past that Boise State where we're ranked.
- 37:04Speaker 3: You know, everybody's feeling good, everybody's talking about how great
- 37:07Speaker 3: Boise State is. And then you go in and walk it,
- 37:09Speaker 3: walk into a buzzsaw and loose. And so I always,
- 37:12Speaker 3: I mean, I'm a firm believer that men learn through
- 37:15Speaker 3: two ways, either pain or wisdom. And I tell guys,
- 37:18Speaker 3: let's learn from the pain of others or the pain
- 37:20Speaker 3: of the past, and let's use wisdom to grow here
- 37:24Speaker 3: in the future.
- 37:24Speaker 2: And no different.
- 37:25Speaker 3: This week we go to play Hawaii, and whenever you
- 37:27Speaker 3: play on that island, like they're gonna do a great job.
- 37:29Speaker 3: It's a it's a game that we're gonna have to
- 37:31Speaker 3: work our tails off to to earn the right to win.
- 37:34Speaker 3: And each week's a new week.
- 37:35Speaker 1: If our Hawaii would soften every team up, like I
- 37:38Speaker 1: would provide them with the most luxurious experience like that Rose, Yeah,
- 37:44Speaker 1: I'm try and then just get them so unfocused that
- 37:47Speaker 1: they've being shown up to the game.
- 37:48Speaker 3: You don't even know you're on a you don't even
- 37:49Speaker 3: know you're in a business trip. You think you're there
- 37:51Speaker 3: hanging out for a sprit break, and then all of a sudden,
- 37:52Speaker 3: it's kickoff. You're like, what in the world, what are
- 37:54Speaker 3: we doing here?
- 37:54Speaker 1: Is that a different conversation? You got to talk with the
- 37:56Speaker 1: guys about like it's a business trip. Even though it's
- 37:58Speaker 1: gonna beautiful and it's gonna be fun, we got to focus.
- 38:01Speaker 3: Oh one hundred percent. I mean, I'm going to talk
- 38:03Speaker 3: to those guys about it here later today and I'm
- 38:06Speaker 3: gonna keep hitting it is like, Okay, yes, there's a
- 38:08Speaker 3: team we're gonna play that's very talented. To me, Chang's
- 38:10Speaker 3: done a good job, but it's also we got to
- 38:13Speaker 3: battle the environment. You gotta battle the five and a
- 38:15Speaker 3: half hour road trip, the humidity, the distractions, the beach,
- 38:20Speaker 3: the girls, the whatever's gonna be waiting for us on
- 38:22Speaker 3: that island. That's also a part of the opponent that
- 38:26Speaker 3: we got to go compete with.
- 38:27Speaker 2: What is your man cave like at home or your office?
- 38:30Speaker 1: You know, cause a lot probably have a lot of screens,
- 38:32Speaker 1: and you can easily just say it's an office, like
- 38:33Speaker 1: what is your place like at home?
- 38:35Speaker 2: Coach?
- 38:35Speaker 3: I'll be honest, guys, I don't have a man cave.
- 38:37Speaker 3: I got two little girls, a three and a half
- 38:39Speaker 3: year old and a two and a half year old.
- 38:40Speaker 3: So the spare room we have is filled with dress
- 38:45Speaker 3: up elsa from Frozen. There's a little kitchen in there
- 38:49Speaker 3: with a bunch of fake food. So when I come
- 38:52Speaker 3: home and I joke with people that the beautiful thing
- 38:54Speaker 3: about being a girl dad is you know how much
- 38:57Speaker 3: those two little girls care about football? Not one bit?
- 39:00Speaker 2: You know?
- 39:00Speaker 3: When I come home. Literally last night, I came home
- 39:03Speaker 3: and my wife bought this t Rex dress up costume
- 39:07Speaker 3: that my three year old was ready to scare me
- 39:08Speaker 3: when I walked in the door. So it's, uh, you know,
- 39:11Speaker 3: it's it's so cool to be able to blend those things.
- 39:13Speaker 3: Especially as a coach, you have to. I mean, my
- 39:15Speaker 3: girls come to practice a ton. I want our coach
- 39:17Speaker 3: to bring their families around. So at home, I don't
- 39:20Speaker 3: really got the bad caveto my wife. I'll put whatever
- 39:22Speaker 3: game's on in the in the living room and I'll be,
- 39:25Speaker 3: you know, watching the girls, and then this out this
- 39:27Speaker 3: side of my as I'll be watching some football. But
- 39:29Speaker 3: it's my wife's a rock star. I mean we met
- 39:32Speaker 3: in college at a Zuza Pacific, which I'm sure you
- 39:34Speaker 3: guys have never heard of. It's okay, it's the Harvard
- 39:36Speaker 3: of the West, and you know, it's just it's been
- 39:39Speaker 3: an awesome just experience for us through the year. This
- 39:41Speaker 3: is year number eight for us at Boise, So this
- 39:43Speaker 3: has really become home, Like it's a great place to
- 39:46Speaker 3: live and thrive, and and everything I do is is
- 39:49Speaker 3: to impact these kids. And I'm open about my faith.
- 39:52Speaker 3: I talked to our players about loving Jesus a lot,
- 39:55Speaker 3: and some people don't like that. I'm like, well, this
- 39:56Speaker 3: is me. It's my foundation, and so just so hombled
- 39:59Speaker 3: and blessed to be here and be a part of it.
- 40:01Speaker 1: How do you find time to be a good husband.
- 40:02Speaker 1: During season, I travel a lot. If I'm either doing
- 40:06Speaker 1: stand up or whatever project, I'm on the road a lot.
- 40:08Speaker 1: But my wife and I really have dedicated like Tuesday
- 40:11Speaker 1: evenings even for like four hours, we specifically have that time. Now,
- 40:15Speaker 1: for you, it could possibly be different during the season
- 40:17Speaker 1: than not, But how do you make sure you can
- 40:19Speaker 1: still dedicate some time to your wife and family during
- 40:22Speaker 1: a football season.
- 40:24Speaker 3: Yeah, so much of it is just and I'm working
- 40:26Speaker 3: on it every single day. I'm not gonna sit here
- 40:28Speaker 3: and say that I got to figure it out by
- 40:30Speaker 3: any means. We're going on your tent of marriage. And
- 40:34Speaker 3: first off is a testament to my wife. She's a
- 40:36Speaker 3: rock star. But I mean, coach Pete's a huge mentor
- 40:39Speaker 3: of mine, and you know something I've took him from
- 40:42Speaker 3: him is just blending your home life with what you
- 40:45Speaker 3: do with football. And then you just got to be intentional.
- 40:48Speaker 3: So like, even in a game week situation like Sundays,
- 40:51Speaker 3: I try to make sure I get home Sundays, make
- 40:54Speaker 3: sure I get dinner with the family and put our
- 40:56Speaker 3: girls this leep, like that's a non negotiable. Tuesdays after practice,
- 41:00Speaker 3: me and my wife outside of Boise. We gotta right
- 41:03Speaker 3: to our outside of our facility, there's a river. Me
- 41:06Speaker 3: and my wife on Tuesdays after practice will go on
- 41:08Speaker 3: a thirty minute walk and just talk about life, how
- 41:12Speaker 3: the girls are doing, how she's doing. We have a
- 41:14Speaker 3: we're expecting another baby in March, so kind of going
- 41:17Speaker 3: through how she's feeling. And then on Thursday night is
- 41:20Speaker 3: date night for us. And then depending if it's home
- 41:23Speaker 3: or away, kind of going through those things. And then
- 41:25Speaker 3: so much of it is trying to get our you know,
- 41:27Speaker 3: my girls and my wife in the facility, around around
- 41:30Speaker 3: our players, because not just for the connection with me
- 41:34Speaker 3: and my family, but I think one for our kids
- 41:37Speaker 3: to see us working. Because even as a young kids,
- 41:39Speaker 3: they just you're either home or you're at work, right,
- 41:42Speaker 3: there's not they sometimes they can't even calculate why is
- 41:44Speaker 3: my dad not here. I want them to see what
- 41:46Speaker 3: their dad's doing, and I want them to see there's
- 41:49Speaker 3: there's quality and hard work, like hard work means a lot,
- 41:53Speaker 3: like there's no substitute for it. And I also want
- 41:55Speaker 3: our players. A lot of our players come from home
- 41:58Speaker 3: situations where they didn't have a dad. I mean they're
- 42:00Speaker 3: raised by their mom their auntie, their grandma, maybe a coach.
- 42:04Speaker 3: So I want them not that we're perfect examples. We're
- 42:06Speaker 3: working our tailoft to always improved, but I want them
- 42:08Speaker 3: to see what a husband and a father looks like.
- 42:11Speaker 3: We got players in our team that our dads want
- 42:13Speaker 3: them to see what this looks like. Not perfect, it's
- 42:16Speaker 3: not about perfection, but seeing us in that space for
- 42:20Speaker 3: our players to be around, those things are huge. So
- 42:22Speaker 3: try and be very intentional with the time we have,
- 42:23Speaker 3: especially in season, and make sure that it's on my schedule,
- 42:27Speaker 3: this is my time with my wife, or this is
- 42:29Speaker 3: the time that I'm doing this, and try to stick
- 42:30Speaker 3: to as much we can.
- 42:31Speaker 1: We have a lot of parents that will listen to
- 42:33Speaker 1: the show and talk about and ask questions about their
- 42:35Speaker 1: kids playing sports.
- 42:36Speaker 2: Would you prefer a.
- 42:37Speaker 1: Kid play a bunch of sports or really dedicate themselves
- 42:41Speaker 1: to one.
- 42:42Speaker 3: I would love someone to play as many sports as
- 42:43Speaker 3: they can. I'm such a firm believer in just playing
- 42:48Speaker 3: as many sports as you can from the youngest age
- 42:51Speaker 3: you can play them, and I just think being able
- 42:54Speaker 3: to build the overall athlete is such a big deal.
- 42:57Speaker 3: And I see all the way through high school. I
- 42:59Speaker 3: love like we I want to recruit guys that run track,
- 43:02Speaker 3: play basketball, baseball because it just shows the different skill
- 43:06Speaker 3: set that they're into, and especially even more college has
- 43:09Speaker 3: become college football is becoming even so much more specific,
- 43:12Speaker 3: and they're recruiting where guys are getting offers as freshman
- 43:15Speaker 3: high school. We don't do a lot of that because
- 43:18Speaker 3: we're a developmental program. I got to see how you're
- 43:21Speaker 3: developing from fourteen to fifteen to sixteen years old to
- 43:25Speaker 3: see what that fit is. And I want to see
- 43:27Speaker 3: someone you know, running track playing basketball because I think
- 43:30Speaker 3: there's you're building an overall athletic skill set, not maybe
- 43:34Speaker 3: just so specific to what you're doing on the high
- 43:37Speaker 3: school football field.
- 43:38Speaker 2: Yeah, coach, he's talking about parents. You know.
- 43:40Speaker 4: So at the middle school level, high school level, you're
- 43:44Speaker 4: dealing with a lot of parents getting involved with their
- 43:46Speaker 4: kids and the coaches have to deal with that. What
- 43:48Speaker 4: about the college level, do you have to deal with
- 43:50Speaker 4: parents of players and tell them like, ooh, I got.
- 43:52Speaker 3: This, I'd say a little bit more of the door.
- 43:55Speaker 3: I mean so for me, I mean just and once
- 43:58Speaker 3: again I guess say this stuff by no means that
- 43:59Speaker 3: I got figure out. It's just my heart and it's
- 44:01Speaker 3: who God made me. When I say we're a developmental program,
- 44:05Speaker 3: you need to make sure everybody's involved in developing these kids.
- 44:08Speaker 3: So when when with our players, I zoom with our
- 44:11Speaker 3: parents once a month. So once a month there's a
- 44:15Speaker 3: zoom set where every parent will get on a zoom
- 44:17Speaker 3: we'll talk about our team, where we're at. Every week,
- 44:21Speaker 3: my assistant will send out a weekly newsletter kind of like, hey,
- 44:25Speaker 3: these are some highlights from the week. These are some
- 44:28Speaker 3: guys that are, you know, doing some really good things.
- 44:30Speaker 3: Blah blah blah. And then I'm involved with our parents
- 44:33Speaker 3: like and I don't. I don't talk much about playing time,
- 44:34Speaker 3: but I tell me, if you are concerned and you're frustrated,
- 44:38Speaker 3: I want you to call me and not sit on
- 44:40Speaker 3: those things because I want to be able to be
- 44:42Speaker 3: real and open with them. I believe in truth, and
- 44:45Speaker 3: so if a parent is frustrated that their teams should
- 44:47Speaker 3: be or their son should be playing more, I wanted
- 44:50Speaker 3: to call me because I'd rather tell you this is
- 44:52Speaker 3: why your son is not these are the things that
- 44:54Speaker 3: he's struggling in because they're only getting one side of
- 44:57Speaker 3: the story. They're getting the story that you know I'm
- 44:59Speaker 3: not playing because of these things. I want to give
- 45:01Speaker 3: them the truth and this is where we need your
- 45:02Speaker 3: son to grow. So I want to keep the lines
- 45:05Speaker 3: of communication open, and especially in this new landscape of
- 45:09Speaker 3: college football with the transfer portal, is I want our
- 45:12Speaker 3: parents to know exactly what we're doing and how we're
- 45:15Speaker 3: developing their sons. And I believe that we're going to
- 45:17Speaker 3: develop their sons better than any other school. Maybe other
- 45:20Speaker 3: schools can offer them other things, but there's not going
- 45:22Speaker 3: to be a place that they're going to develop more.
- 45:24Speaker 3: And I think being on the same page with these
- 45:26Speaker 3: parents and just being intentional to be upfront with them,
- 45:30Speaker 3: and that's where that's why I zoom with them once
- 45:32Speaker 3: a month so they can know my messaging. This is
- 45:35Speaker 3: what when we talk about practice performance like, this is
- 45:39Speaker 3: what I mean. So if your son is performing in practice,
- 45:42Speaker 3: you're going to see him play more in the game.
- 45:44Speaker 3: If your son is not playing in the game, you
- 45:46Speaker 3: know that that's probably because he's not performing the way
- 45:49Speaker 3: we need him to in practice. So I'm intentional to
- 45:52Speaker 3: be truthful with our parents to know the landscape so
- 45:55Speaker 3: then they can filter through some of the information they're
- 45:58Speaker 3: maybe getting from their sons.
- 46:00Speaker 1: Final three questions, If there's a concert coming to Boise
- 46:03Speaker 1: and who is it that you will not miss?
- 46:06Speaker 3: Oh? Good question. I'm probably more on the on the
- 46:09Speaker 3: country side of things. I don't listen to a ton
- 46:13Speaker 3: of music. I listened to a lot of worship music.
- 46:14Speaker 3: I like Elevation Maverick City are two of my favorite
- 46:19Speaker 3: worship band. But I'd say like country artists. I'm a
- 46:21Speaker 3: huge Luke Holms guy. He came to the Blue a
- 46:23Speaker 3: couple of years ago. Didn't miss it. Who else would
- 46:29Speaker 3: I say? I like Morgan Wall And if there's a
- 46:35Speaker 3: if there's a country concert coming to boys Idol and
- 46:37Speaker 3: we're not doing football, but I'm I finally got some
- 46:41Speaker 3: cowboy boots this offseason, so you better believe that I'm
- 46:44Speaker 3: gonna be uh, I'll be rocket those two, all right?
- 46:47Speaker 1: Final two questions. Do you talk with your guys about
- 46:49Speaker 1: the college football playoff?
- 46:51Speaker 3: We talked about it to start the season, and because
- 46:54Speaker 3: I know they're hearing it from everybody, and and like
- 46:57Speaker 3: we talked about even the start season. I mean, boys,
- 47:00Speaker 3: we've been picked to win our conference seventeen straight years
- 47:05Speaker 3: and that has not happened, right, So expectation doesn't always
- 47:09Speaker 3: meet reality. And so I talked to our guys about
- 47:12Speaker 3: the expectations, the expectations of us being able to go
- 47:15Speaker 3: play in this college football playoff. And so we talked
- 47:17Speaker 3: about to start the seasons. So, guys, you come to
- 47:19Speaker 3: Boise State to play in these games. I mean, we're
- 47:22Speaker 3: one of the winningest teams of the country since two thousands,
- 47:24Speaker 3: so since our players have been alive, you know, one
- 47:27Speaker 3: of the winnings football teams the country. So we talked
- 47:29Speaker 3: about it. I said, hey, guys, this is you come
- 47:31Speaker 3: to Boys State. This is a goal of ours to
- 47:33Speaker 3: go win our conference championship and earn the right to
- 47:35Speaker 3: go play in a college football playoff. Since that time,
- 47:38Speaker 3: I haven't talked about it because I'm such a big
- 47:40Speaker 3: believer in process. And each week's a new week, and
- 47:43Speaker 3: that's where you know, we've played five games, there's a
- 47:45Speaker 3: lot of talks about, oh, this is what's going to happen.
- 47:49Speaker 3: I mean, we saw this past weekend how quickly a
- 47:51Speaker 3: team can stumble week to week, and so talked about
- 47:54Speaker 3: to start the season. Right now, it's all about want
- 47:56Speaker 3: to know mindset and for me, it's after each game,
- 47:58Speaker 3: what do we learn where are we growing and the
- 48:00Speaker 3: next game is our biggest game because the next one
- 48:03Speaker 3: and I believe in that process and I want our
- 48:05Speaker 3: players to focus on that. No different, guys, And I'm
- 48:08Speaker 3: not to beat a dead horse, but I'm such a
- 48:11Speaker 3: The only reason I coach is because Jesus put me
- 48:13Speaker 3: in the seat to develop people. And I believe that
- 48:16Speaker 3: it's easy to get caught up on these mountaintop experiences
- 48:20Speaker 3: that you're looking for, oh, college football, playoff play in
- 48:23Speaker 3: the NFL. But life is a journey and I want
- 48:26Speaker 3: our guys to love that journey. So this is Hawaii week.
- 48:29Speaker 3: There's nothing more important to Boise State Football than us
- 48:32Speaker 3: playing Hawaii. No different in life, no different. Whatever your
- 48:35Speaker 3: feet are are like star in that role, be excited
- 48:38Speaker 3: for that. And then once we finish this game, we're
- 48:41Speaker 3: gonna be excited for what's next. So we talked about
- 48:43Speaker 3: to start the season, but don't talk about a lot
- 48:45Speaker 3: more after that. It's all about the process we're doing
- 48:47Speaker 3: week to week.
- 48:48Speaker 1: Final question, do you ever just want to give yourself
- 48:49Speaker 1: the game ball in front of everybody? Give it to me, boys,
- 48:54Speaker 1: look at me.
- 48:54Speaker 3: This is what I got going up. I mean, I'll
- 48:57Speaker 3: be honest, no, i'd be there's I mean, I just
- 49:01Speaker 3: I'm one of those guys that's probably overly emotional, Like
- 49:04Speaker 3: every time I talk to our team, I gotta fight
- 49:06Speaker 3: crying because I just love these kids. I mean, I
- 49:08Speaker 3: see the work they put in, the grind they do.
- 49:11Speaker 3: I mean when it's January, Aston Gent's doing up downs
- 49:15Speaker 3: in the snow, and then you see them do what
- 49:17Speaker 3: they do. That's why I mean, after these games, I'm
- 49:21Speaker 3: emotional because I you know, I just am so respectful
- 49:25Speaker 3: of our players not running from hard work, not taking
- 49:27Speaker 3: the easy road, doing you know, really enjoying hard stuff.
- 49:30Speaker 3: And I think that's uncommon in college football right now.
- 49:34Speaker 3: And I'm not saying that makes us better perfect by
- 49:37Speaker 3: any means, but I do think you know, Boise State
- 49:40Speaker 3: is built on this blue collar mentality, and our players
- 49:42Speaker 3: do that every day. That doesn't mean that we're gonna
- 49:44Speaker 3: win every game. It means that we're gonna give ourselves
- 49:46Speaker 3: a good shot. So I could say after the games
- 49:49Speaker 3: that I haven't had that fight in my heart to
- 49:52Speaker 3: give up. I've been giving a couple and I'm like, man,
- 49:55Speaker 3: give this to the guy that's just scoring five touchdowns.
- 49:57Speaker 3: I didn't do anything I'm a I'm a glorified cheerleader coach.
- 50:00Speaker 1: We really appreciate the time we're rooting for you, and
- 50:02Speaker 1: good luck next week.
- 50:03Speaker 3: I appreciate you guys taking the time. Man, God bless
- 50:05Speaker 3: you guys.
- 50:05Speaker 2: See Cook, it doesn't matter what you call it.
- 50:08Speaker 1: A touchdown, a TD tuddy in for six touchdowns matter more.

- 51:36Speaker 1: something that was going to happen last weekend. It happened,
- 51:39Speaker 1: but it didn't happen where I can talk about it yet.
- 51:42Speaker 1: But next week I'll be able to talk about it. Oh,
- 51:45Speaker 1: it did happen.
- 51:46Speaker 2: Man, I'm getting DMS of people like, what do you
- 51:49Speaker 2: tell you? I'm I can't tell you.
- 51:51Speaker 1: I know it did happen because I have seen a
- 51:54Speaker 1: picture of it from the wild. Yes, yes, read you
- 52:01Speaker 1: don't know what it is because you weren't here.
- 52:02Speaker 2: Yeah, you do know what it is. Yeah. Oh yeah,
- 52:05Speaker 2: cause you help me. That's right. I'm not gonna say
- 52:08Speaker 2: anything no, so I we will be able to update
- 52:11Speaker 2: you next week. I'm very sorry.
- 52:12Speaker 1: I hate to do that thing where we're like keep
- 52:13Speaker 1: but it was supposed to happen. It did happen, but
- 52:16Speaker 1: something didn't happen. That actually allows me to communicate what
- 52:20Speaker 1: had happened.
- 52:21Speaker 2: And trust is there's a good reason why yes telling
- 52:23Speaker 2: you when we tell you why you're going.
- 52:25Speaker 1: Oh that's why they couldn't say yes. But we will
- 52:28Speaker 1: be able to say after next week.
- 52:31Speaker 2: And it's awesome. Oh it's super cool.
- 52:34Speaker 1: Yeah, super cool.
- 52:35Speaker 2: It's awesome.
- 52:36Speaker 1: So that's all I.
- 52:37Speaker 2: Should say, right, yeah, leave it there. Man.
- 52:41Speaker 1: So tonight and I have never met him, I guess
- 52:46Speaker 1: on computer, but that doesn't count. Tonight I will be
- 52:48Speaker 1: meeting Dan Patrick. Wow, which is super exciting for me.
- 52:53Speaker 2: Are you guys doing dinner?
- 52:54Speaker 1: We are not doing dinner. Thank you for making it
- 52:57Speaker 1: seem even lesser now.
- 52:58Speaker 2: Because I help you. Find it's like you're going to
- 53:01Speaker 2: the club.
- 53:02Speaker 1: It's like somebody's like, wow, can you believe I'm much
- 53:03Speaker 1: that car by twenty that one? No, it was like
- 53:05Speaker 1: thirteen thousand. But thanks for making me sick. It's that
- 53:07Speaker 1: you know, you just diminished me.
- 53:09Speaker 2: But when you say I'm going to diminish someone, like
- 53:11Speaker 2: you're just gonna meet him with and then you go,
- 53:14Speaker 2: you're having dinner with them? No, it could it be
- 53:15Speaker 2: anywhere I thought. I thought you're gonna say. Yes, Oh
- 53:18Speaker 2: my god, he downgraded. He did big time. I feel diminished.
- 53:21Speaker 2: And my story is not, what are you guys gonna
- 53:23Speaker 2: be doing.
- 53:24Speaker 1: I am hosting an industry awards thing in New York
- 53:27Speaker 1: called the Marconi's.
- 53:28Speaker 4: Oh dude, there's dinner there. You're having dinner with Dan Patrick.
- 53:32Speaker 1: I am not, because I'm hosting it and I'll be
- 53:34Speaker 1: on the stage, and so he will be there. He's
- 53:36Speaker 1: up for an award, and I assume I'm going to
- 53:39Speaker 1: get to meet him. I don't know if he's gonna
- 53:41Speaker 1: win the award. I don't know who wins the awards,
- 53:42Speaker 1: but like, probably I'll get to meet him, right, I
- 53:46Speaker 1: would think, so, yeah, yeah, you're both there. I got
- 53:48Speaker 1: a couple jokes about him, Oh on stage nice. It
- 53:51Speaker 1: was like roast or funny, not really that roasty. I
- 53:53Speaker 1: don't really know some of these people. You really can
- 53:55Speaker 1: only roast people, you know.
- 53:56Speaker 4: Correct, that'd be weird if you know when you roasted them, like,
- 53:59Speaker 4: is this guy we saw that with the Brady roaster
- 54:03Speaker 4: went up and threatened the guy?
- 54:04Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, true. So yeah, Dan Patrick will be do.
- 54:08Speaker 2: I'm pretty excited about that.
- 54:09Speaker 4: Do you know what you're gonna talk to him about,
- 54:11Speaker 4: like if you do meet him, because like I always.
- 54:13Speaker 2: Do the thing that I could prepare in my head
- 54:15Speaker 2: to say, that would be cool.
- 54:16Speaker 4: What about the opening line? You gotta practice that, hey, Patty.
- 54:21Speaker 1: No, I think if I talk to him after the show,
- 54:25Speaker 1: I don't know. I think it's like, hey, you gotta
- 54:28Speaker 1: get a picture.
- 54:28Speaker 2: Oh that just like that? Maybe man, I don't.
- 54:31Speaker 1: Even I don't even like asking for pictures, but there's
- 54:34Speaker 1: like ten to fifteen people that I just am like,
- 54:37Speaker 1: I'm just gonna eat it. And maybe he'll think I'm
- 54:39Speaker 1: cool though too if I'm hosting the awards, like I've
- 54:40Speaker 1: been out up front and center in front of him,
- 54:42Speaker 1: or maybe he thinks like that barrier is off where
- 54:45Speaker 1: it's he's like, oh, I've been watching you up there.
- 54:47Speaker 1: I don't know, but I'm gonna meet him. I think, yeah,
- 54:50Speaker 1: he seems like he'd be cool with that.
- 54:51Speaker 2: Yeah, what about like, man, damn, I going down. It's crazy,
- 54:54Speaker 2: you know.
- 54:54Speaker 1: I don't want to go out and talks for his immediately.
- 54:57Speaker 1: It's like going up to a guyh's account. How about
- 54:58Speaker 1: that dollar dollar already in transition.
- 55:01Speaker 2: That's tough.
- 55:02Speaker 1: You're right, that's his job. But I don't know what's
- 55:04Speaker 1: what we're gonna say. I think it'll probably this, Hey,
- 55:06Speaker 1: Dan really nice to me. Cool, okay, yeah, okay, So
- 55:12Speaker 1: whatever that situation is.
- 55:13Speaker 2: Yeah, see what happens after that, maybe dinner.
- 55:16Speaker 1: I did get invited to a dinner tonight afterward with
- 55:20Speaker 1: some of the people, but it's a ten pm dinner
- 55:22Speaker 1: at the Polo Club, which is very like wown fancy.
- 55:26Speaker 1: But it's a ten pm dinner, and there's no chance.
- 55:28Speaker 1: I don't care who it is. What do you mean,
- 55:30Speaker 1: I'm not going to a ten pm dinner with anybody.
- 55:33Speaker 1: I don't care if it was Mark gray Sting. I
- 55:37Speaker 1: have to work in the morning, and I'll have been
- 55:40Speaker 1: up all morning.
- 55:41Speaker 2: My wife's going with me.
- 55:41Speaker 1: She's not going to the event, and so I'm also
- 55:44Speaker 1: just not gonna leave her behind. I just don't want
- 55:46Speaker 1: to go to ten o'clock anything.
- 55:47Speaker 4: Mark gray Sting, David Letterman Howard Stern, John Mayer.
- 55:52Speaker 2: You guys, have you guys have a good dinner.
- 55:56Speaker 1: No way ten o'clock. That's unrealistic for me. And again
- 56:02Speaker 1: after work in the morning.
- 56:03Speaker 4: So yeah, is that that's East coast? Right, So that's eleven, No,
- 56:07Speaker 4: it's not nine.
- 56:08Speaker 2: You know how times on the word buddy? Yeah, it
- 56:09Speaker 2: was backwards.
- 56:10Speaker 6: Yeah, And he just keeps it down, playing everything.
- 56:12Speaker 1: I know everything, all right, anything about Deshaun Watson, you
- 56:18Speaker 1: guys want to say.
- 56:19Speaker 6: What, Hey, I saw a stat Actually that was interesting.
- 56:23Speaker 6: Hold on, I wrote down on my notes.
- 56:24Speaker 2: That have to do with football. To me. The weird
- 56:26Speaker 2: thing about Deshaun Watson.
- 56:27Speaker 1: I was watching somebody talk about how they would trade
- 56:29Speaker 1: him next year, and they'll, I wish I should credit
- 56:33Speaker 1: whomever it was.
- 56:33Speaker 2: I wish I knewho.
- 56:34Speaker 1: It was on TikTok and he was saying, I think
- 56:37Speaker 1: the move's gonna be for the Browns because if they
- 56:41Speaker 1: were to cut him, they have like one hundred and
- 56:43Speaker 1: something million dollars in dead cap, which you can't do.
- 56:45Speaker 1: You can't live on that. But if you trade them
- 56:48Speaker 1: next year, it's like eighty million. So you go to
- 56:50Speaker 1: a team who has a lot of a rebuild and
- 56:53Speaker 1: a lot of cap space. And not only do you
- 56:55Speaker 1: trade them him, you send them your first round pick.
- 56:58Speaker 1: So you're giving them him just to take it off
- 57:00Speaker 1: your hands. But for them for taking that, it's like
- 57:03Speaker 1: a it's like a weird trade. It's like they're gonna
- 57:05Speaker 1: take it, but they're also going to get something. They're
- 57:07Speaker 1: also going to get the first round pick, like a
- 57:10Speaker 1: Carolina Panthers or somebody. And then in exchange you get
- 57:12Speaker 1: a conditional seventh round pick, which is like nothing, just
- 57:16Speaker 1: so the trade can happen, just to get him out,
- 57:18Speaker 1: just to get him out.
- 57:19Speaker 6: So the stat was he has settled more lawsuits than
- 57:23Speaker 6: throwing touchdown passes since signing with the Browns.
- 57:28Speaker 1: Wow, that's crazy. What do we think the problem is?
- 57:32Speaker 1: Do we think it's age. Do we think it's mental
- 57:36Speaker 1: mental in that he got in so much trouble that
- 57:38Speaker 1: he can't actually focus on the game. We think he
- 57:40Speaker 1: made so much money he doesn't care.
- 57:42Speaker 2: I think it's two and three. I think he's just
- 57:44Speaker 2: checked out. There's too much going on outside of football.
- 57:47Speaker 4: Killed his confidence. Man, Like he didn't even know who
- 57:49Speaker 4: he is as a person. How's he gonna play football?
- 57:50Speaker 2: He was so confident you think him. I mean, do
- 57:53Speaker 2: you think anyone likes him in the locker room? Probably? No,
- 57:55Speaker 2: No one likes in the locker room. No one likes
- 57:57Speaker 2: him the street. It's just you're just everyone hates you.
- 58:00Speaker 1: So a self esteem more than his confidence, Yeah, because
- 58:03Speaker 1: I think confidence would be able to throw, able to
- 58:06Speaker 1: pass able, to be quarterbacks. So I think he still
- 58:08Speaker 1: has confidence he can play because he's acting like he
- 58:10Speaker 1: can play. Yeah, But self esteem, which then could affect
- 58:14Speaker 1: everything else.
- 58:14Speaker 2: There we go like, if you're hated everywhere you go,
- 58:16Speaker 2: you've mentally starts.
- 58:17Speaker 6: Yeah, that's tough.
- 58:18Speaker 1: No, you know what's tough having to be a woman
- 58:20Speaker 1: and him pull out his dig gong and be like, hey,
- 58:23Speaker 1: look at my erect penis.
- 58:25Speaker 2: Thank you.
- 58:27Speaker 1: I just want to make sure and say that because
- 58:28Speaker 1: we're talking about trivial when you're saying look at me, dude.
- 58:33Speaker 2: Anything.
- 58:36Speaker 1: College football playoff odds Real Quick At plus two eighty,
- 58:40Speaker 1: the favorite is Ohio State.
- 58:42Speaker 6: Oh.
- 58:42Speaker 2: I thought it was the Long Horns by a significant margin.
- 58:45Speaker 2: It's Ohio State. Wow.
- 58:46Speaker 1: At plus four hundred is Texas to uh. Georgia is
- 58:50Speaker 1: at three plus five hundred. Alabama still at four the
- 58:52Speaker 1: money would be right now to put it on Alabama
- 58:54Speaker 1: if you're going to bet Alabama and do it right
- 58:56Speaker 1: now while the Tide's low. I got money, which I
- 59:01Speaker 1: mean to do that boys, because they're still really good
- 59:05Speaker 1: and they have a really good coach and they just
- 59:07Speaker 1: learned a.
- 59:07Speaker 2: Hard lesson Yeah, two shirts, they got humbled.
- 59:09Speaker 1: They learned a hard lesson Oregon at five, at six
- 59:14Speaker 1: Ole Miss Tennessee, Penn State. So I guess it would
- 59:16Speaker 1: be six, seven and eight if they're all the same. Uh,
- 59:18Speaker 1: And then nine to ten is Clemson in Miami. I'm
- 59:21Speaker 1: surprised Miami is not higher, but probably because they're basing
- 59:24Speaker 1: it on who they'll play in the CFP more than
- 59:26Speaker 1: what the record is going to be leading up to it.
- 59:28Speaker 6: And they keep having to come back, but they haven't lost.
- 59:31Speaker 1: Yeah, Chiefs didn't win again too, which is crazy. This
- 59:36Speaker 1: is awesome Chiefs. They have nobody on their team. I
- 59:38Speaker 1: think they played seven man football against the eleven and
- 59:40Speaker 1: still won. They're undefeated, that's the thing. They're undefeated without
- 59:44Speaker 1: running back, without receivers. Shout out ju Ju Smith schust there,
- 59:47Speaker 1: shout out Kareem Hunt.
- 59:48Speaker 2: Right, Yeah, it's pretty awesome, pretty wild. We'll wrap on this.
- 59:54Speaker 1: We'll run through some games real quick. We can ProView
- 59:56Speaker 1: as far as college football goes. Will you look at
- 59:58Speaker 1: something up.
- 59:58Speaker 2: Atty, I'm just looking at the the odds for the futures.
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: Hey, you know, I don't feel the best about it,
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: but I do like the bet I made for Rookie
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: of the Year because I don't think I think Jane Daniels,
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: if healthy, wins it. But whenever I went and bet
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: bow Knicks, it was I bet him because his odds
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: were so high. I feel like bo Nicks. Let's say
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: Jan Daniels gets hurt. He has such confidence and at
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: times he looks like he might be good in the future.
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: I think bon Nicks could be in that conversation if
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: a couple things fall, the Broncos.
- 1:00:28Speaker 2: Are winning games.
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: Oh he's terrible sometimes like awful, but his com you
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: want to talk about confidence, He's got way too much,
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: but that's what you want. Like he just comes out
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: and freaking fires. And when him and Sean Peyton and
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: Peyton were going out on the sideline, thank you, Yeah,
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: that was awesome, hilarious.
- 1:00:46Speaker 2: Yeah, and then what did Sean Payton say, Well, Jompayn's
- 1:00:49Speaker 2: a goober. He made like an old reference. There's way
- 1:00:52Speaker 2: too datous. He was like, he's got too much Ferris
- 1:00:55Speaker 2: Bueller in him.
- 1:00:56Speaker 4: Ferris Bueller came out in nineteen eighties and somebody's like,
- 1:00:59Speaker 4: I've never even seen Ferris Bueler.
- 1:01:01Speaker 2: You know you don't see that. Huh, you should watch it.
- 1:01:03Speaker 3: No.
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: I was like, unless somebody's like fifty, they're not really
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: going to feel that reference.
- 1:01:08Speaker 2: And then they asked bow next.
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: They're like, what you say and he goes, oh, he
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: just said I love you. I said I loved you back,
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: and like that's the perfect thing.
- 1:01:14Speaker 2: Funny, that's a perfect answer.
- 1:01:15Speaker 6: She said, you know what Bueler is.
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: The fact that he thought Ferris Bueler was like the
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: contemporary pop culture an.
- 1:01:24Speaker 2: I think he said he's got some Ferris Buler in him.
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: In Cuba Football weekend preview, here we go, uh, South
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: Carolina at Alabama. Alabama.
- 1:01:35Speaker 2: I would assume rolls.
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: South Carolina is surprisingly at times competitive.
- 1:01:40Speaker 4: Yeah, but Alabama's been doing a lot of updowns And
- 1:01:42Speaker 4: I think about the week.
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: I think about that, and the coaches will probably be
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: in collar shirts. Correct Clumbson should be white forest. I
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: mean we talked about clumbs in earlier. They're ranked ten
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: kind of quietly, mostly because they've been ranked high and
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: then sucked, so now that they start climbing back up,
- 1:01:59Speaker 1: nobody cares because you're kind of like, oh, you're just
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: gonna suck again. Texas Oklahoma, that'll be fun. Texas a
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: fourteen and a half point favorite right now as of
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: right the second Penn State at usc should be interesting
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: because Penn State is having a fly all the way
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: across the country. But at least they get extra hours.
- 1:02:16Speaker 2: Grey Eddie, is that how the time? Yes, they do.
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: Missisippi State of Georgia. Georgia should roll because Mississippi State
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: isn't terrible.
- 1:02:24Speaker 2: They are probably the worst team in the SEC. Yeah. Man,
- 1:02:28Speaker 2: it was Vandy for a long time.
- 1:02:29Speaker 6: Good for Vandy.
- 1:02:30Speaker 2: That's awesome. Like they're the worst, right Yeah, I mean
- 1:02:35Speaker 2: the other teams that you'd put. Auburn is pretty bad,
- 1:02:37Speaker 2: not as bad, but not as bad. Florida at Tennessee.
- 1:02:43Speaker 2: Tennessee should roll. Ohio Florida's pretty bad too, Yeah, a
- 1:02:48Speaker 2: lot of them. Last minute. Ohio State at Oregon will
- 1:02:51Speaker 2: be an interesting one.
- 1:02:52Speaker 6: Yeah, that's gonna be a good game.
- 1:02:54Speaker 2: I think that'll be fun at Oregon Yeah, it's cool.
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: That'd have been cool either way, because those two teams
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: don't really do that. Yeah, Like I can't ever, and
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: they probably have. I don't remember. I can't remember, ohiouse
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: ever playing at Oregon.
- 1:03:03Speaker 6: Two years ago. They played at Ohio State, right, yeah,
- 1:03:07Speaker 6: but not at yeah obvious, yeah Oregon.
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: Yeah, I've never I can't picture them playing at Organ either.
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: But also like Kevin Durant play Carmelo Anthony a couple
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: of years off and.
- 1:03:15Speaker 2: We got there. But what turns out I remember Texas
- 1:03:17Speaker 2: in Syracuse? Yeah that was it? Yeah, right, teams boys,
- 1:03:21Speaker 2: you state Hawaii, you got there? Uh well we had
- 1:03:25Speaker 2: coached Danielson, so we're right.
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: We're going Boise next week?
- 1:03:28Speaker 2: Though?
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: Is the Boise UNLV game? The Battle of our buddies?
- 1:03:31Speaker 2: That's hard, man, the Battle of of our buddies, like
- 1:03:34Speaker 2: both your kids are playing each other? Like, who do
- 1:03:36Speaker 2: you I know?
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: Battle of the buddies next week?
- 1:03:39Speaker 2: Okay, NFL, we got the Lions. That's a good game.
- 1:03:44Speaker 2: Forty Seahawks for tonight. Yeah, what's I mean?
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: The forty is the favorite?
- 1:03:50Speaker 2: Yeah? Do they have a kicker? Which is weird? They
- 1:03:53Speaker 2: don't have anything running back. I don't think.
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: I think McCaffrey retired and got his number retired in
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: the circle of life already? Is he ever coming back?
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: He's etnauerkraut all day. I mean, I guess the forty
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: nine they're in. I don't know, man, that game I I'm.
- 1:04:09Speaker 2: Not gonna touch.
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:04:11Speaker 2: They both had brutal losses. Yeah yeah. On Sunday.
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: Jags at Bears, I don't know.
- 1:04:17Speaker 2: I think I like the Jaguars.
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: One another game there, right, Cardinals at Packers, probably a Packers.
- 1:04:24Speaker 2: Win, huh, I would think, would think they're in Green
- 1:04:27Speaker 2: Bay too? Oh yeah, uh oh? The game of who
- 1:04:30Speaker 2: gives a Crap? Colts of Titans.
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: Although justice for Flacco, Justice for Flacco, Joe Flacco seventy
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: three years old, still going?
- 1:04:37Speaker 2: Is that here? Yes? Tickets may be cheap for that one.
- 1:04:42Speaker 2: Texans at Patriots. Texans should roll.
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: Probably the second best team in the AFC, right Vikings
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: Texans Ravens Now Chiefs Vikings with the FC Chiefs Texans Ravens. Yeah, right,
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: universally one two three, yeah, I think so. Bucks at Saints,
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: No idea, didn't they just play well the same division
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: they play nine times every week?
- 1:05:07Speaker 2: Last week but it does feel like they play all
- 1:05:09Speaker 2: the Thes and the Bucks.
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: Feel like it feels like they're all the same team,
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: especially when they all sucked too, because it was all
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: like five hundred or below teams playing each other. Browns
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: at Eagles, Eagles should roll Commanders at Ravens. That's a
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: fun one, just to see what happens. It's just fun
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: to Watchaydan Daniels see how far he goes the Chargers
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: of Broncos.
- 1:05:33Speaker 2: I mean, I don't know, you guys can pick that one,
- 1:05:36Speaker 2: Charges Brons. I like the Broncos man.
- 1:05:38Speaker 1: I think I go right now, I go Broncos, Steelers, Raiders,
- 1:05:43Speaker 1: Oh my god.
- 1:05:44Speaker 2: Oh gosh, Steelers.
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: Probably the Steelers because the Raiders. And also who's the quarterback?
- 1:05:51Speaker 1: I don't think Minch's quarterback anymore?
- 1:05:52Speaker 2: Right O'Connell aiden Hues from the from the line is
- 1:05:56Speaker 2: gonna go like quarterback?
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: Yeah? Yeah, that's weird, huh. Like to pull your starting quarterback.
- 1:06:05Speaker 1: That's a big decision because you really almost can't go
- 1:06:09Speaker 1: back unless you're pulling them because you're just way down.
- 1:06:12Speaker 1: You don't want them to get hurt or way up
- 1:06:15Speaker 1: if you pull him and he's already kind of a
- 1:06:17Speaker 1: fringer anyway, it's hard next week to be like, Hey,
- 1:06:20Speaker 1: the guy that's our fringe quarterback. Anyway, we're gonna look
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: for a new quarterback in the draft. We're gonna put
- 1:06:24Speaker 1: him back in. Yeah, Price Stealers, Lions, Cowboys, Cowboys, that's
- 1:06:29Speaker 1: in Dallas. Lion's three and a half point Favorite's gonna
- 1:06:32Speaker 1: smoke them.
- 1:06:33Speaker 2: That's right, okay.
- 1:06:35Speaker 1: Falcons and Panthers Falcons Falcon should do some damage there.
- 1:06:41Speaker 1: And then Bengals at Giants on Sunday nights. The Giants
- 1:06:44Speaker 1: have been looking better than well, there's.
- 1:06:46Speaker 2: A big Jens.
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: Yeah, Bengals have to win that game. If they lose
- 1:06:51Speaker 1: that for two reasons, one of the Giants and two
- 1:06:53Speaker 1: they can't afford to losing more games.
- 1:06:55Speaker 2: All right, there you go, and it's it, Mike, It.
- 1:06:58Speaker 1: I gotta go to fly to New York and we
- 1:07:01Speaker 1: will see you guys next week.
- 1:07:04Speaker 2: Have fun tonight, man.
- 1:07:06Speaker 1: What's up?
- 1:07:07Speaker 2: Danny Boyd? And I don't worry. Hey, Daniels, do you
- 1:07:11Speaker 2: want to go over to polo club at ten? Dan Patrick?
- 1:07:15Speaker 2: That sounds so fancy. Who goes to the polo club? Well,
- 1:07:19Speaker 2: it's the literal brand though.
- 1:07:21Speaker 4: Oh it's not like Polo grounds. I thought they're gonna
- 1:07:23Speaker 4: be playing a game, like, well you have no.
- 1:07:25Speaker 2: No, No, it's a restaurant.
- 1:07:26Speaker 1: And that is a fancy restaurant because my CEO took
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: me there one time, so it is. But it's literal
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: like Ralph Lauren polo restaurants.
- 1:07:34Speaker 2: I'm almost positive you have.
- 1:07:36Speaker 6: To wear one of their shirts or something.
- 1:07:38Speaker 2: They're great question, you know, wearing an Alabama T shirt.
- 1:07:41Speaker 2: So I don't you know.
- 1:07:42Speaker 4: There are some restaurants where like you don't have a coat,
- 1:07:45Speaker 4: they provide you with a coat.
- 1:07:46Speaker 1: On TV, I've seen that. That's where I okay, yeah,
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: I don't know. I've never been one on TV. I've
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: seen Seinfeld's akay on TV. It's a real thing, but
- 1:07:53Speaker 1: I don't know about real life. There are some places
- 1:07:55Speaker 1: where you have to wear like a jacket.
- 1:07:58Speaker 2: Yeah, and then you're like, I don't have a oh,
- 1:08:00Speaker 2: we'll provide you with one, sir. Is that here?
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: Dawson went with me one time and he wasn't wearing
- 1:08:06Speaker 1: anything and they were like, we only have these really
- 1:08:08Speaker 1: large ones and.
- 1:08:09Speaker 2: It's just like a trench coat. You and Dawson went
- 1:08:13Speaker 2: for Magic Night. Yeah, fun man did you two. I
- 1:08:16Speaker 2: think so, I think so. You know. Yeah, it was
- 1:08:19Speaker 2: just okay, all right, We'll see you guys next week.
- 1:08:24Speaker 2: Oh hold on, let me blow the whistle. Here we go.
