- 0:31Speaker 1: Welcome back to the Business round Table podcast. We have
- 0:35Speaker 1: another brand new guest here on the podcast. I'm your host,
- 0:38Speaker 1: David Carr, a Steward your Business. Super excited to have
- 0:41Speaker 1: Jasmine Dennis on here. She and I were just talking
- 0:46Speaker 1: recently about health in the workplace, health and wellness and
- 0:49Speaker 1: you guys know, as Steward your Business, what I focus
- 0:52Speaker 1: on as organizational health people and building those teams together.
- 0:56Speaker 1: But Jasmine has over thirty years of experience in the
- 0:59Speaker 1: health and while in the space she has I'm gonna
- 1:03Speaker 1: let her tell you a little bit more about her background.
- 1:04Speaker 1: It's still too much of her thunder, but she just
- 1:06Speaker 1: has such a passion and we really connected on like
- 1:10Speaker 1: how do we take care of employees? And Jasmine, I'm
- 1:13Speaker 1: just super excited to have you here and really talk
- 1:15Speaker 1: about this important topic that I often think often gets
- 1:17Speaker 1: neglected and just welcome to the Business round Table podcast.
- 1:22Speaker 2: Thank you for having me, David. I'm so excited to
- 1:24Speaker 2: be here.
- 1:26Speaker 1: Yeah, you you you know, I love your story and
- 1:29Speaker 1: I want to get kind of in there because one
- 1:32Speaker 1: of the things that you know, we were talking about
- 1:35Speaker 1: is is burnout and companies struggling to keep their employees engaged,
- 1:42Speaker 1: especially today's world where employees maybe not always come in
- 1:45Speaker 1: the office. There are different places, and and there are
- 1:48Speaker 1: different aged groups and whole host of things that you know,
- 1:52Speaker 1: maybe employers are just not thinking about. And I want
- 1:55Speaker 1: to kind of go back, step back a little bit
- 1:57Speaker 1: and talk about, like where did your passion shouldn't come
- 2:01Speaker 1: to come in this space of health and wellness for
- 2:03Speaker 1: companies and helping individuals be getting a better get a
- 2:06Speaker 1: better place. I would love to have our audience kind
- 2:09Speaker 1: of hear a bit of your journey and what got
- 2:10Speaker 1: you inspired to create jazz D Health and Wellness.
- 2:14Speaker 2: Okay, well, I started way back when I worked, you know,
- 2:17Speaker 2: in the government workers Compensation Board, and you know workers
- 2:20Speaker 2: Compensation Board, they advocate for healthy employees, you know, in
- 2:24Speaker 2: a different kind of way. You know, you pay a
- 2:26Speaker 2: fee to make sure you take every employees that way.
- 2:28Speaker 2: Right started there. But when I was there, I started teaching,
- 2:32Speaker 2: you know, aerobics, because I'm one of those was either
- 2:35Speaker 2: running or doing aerobics or any stuff like that. So
- 2:38Speaker 2: I started to and you know, I don't want to
- 2:41Speaker 2: just make it look like it was the employees that
- 2:43Speaker 2: Workers Compensation Board that was going through this, but basically,
- 2:47Speaker 2: you know the files that came in anyone that people
- 2:50Speaker 2: go to the extreme not want to go to work
- 2:54Speaker 2: because they're in different phases of burnout, they're in different
- 2:57Speaker 2: phases of stress. So we've had situations where you know,
- 3:02Speaker 2: people come in and you know they if you kind
- 3:04Speaker 2: of follow them, you realize that they're really not that sick,
- 3:07Speaker 2: but you know, they just don't want to be in
- 3:09Speaker 2: the environment. So I remember my boss at the time
- 3:12Speaker 2: would say to me, he says, you know, Jackly, when
- 3:13Speaker 2: you come in and the more you come in early,
- 3:15Speaker 2: and you know, when you leave and you get packed up,
- 3:17Speaker 2: and he just watched me go back and forth in
- 3:20Speaker 2: this I you know, great at my job, but there's
- 3:23Speaker 2: this other passion that I had, right wellness. And it
- 3:27Speaker 2: was just basically teaching robics at that time. And I remember,
- 3:31Speaker 2: you know, there was a Who's Miss Canada actually was
- 3:36Speaker 2: starting to they were trying to get a hold of me.
- 3:38Speaker 2: Don't know how they got a hold of me that
- 3:40Speaker 2: was teaching to come and teach at the other vocation.
- 3:42Speaker 2: And I kept putting them off. I was newly married,
- 3:44Speaker 2: you know, and I you know, and you don't want
- 3:46Speaker 2: to be spending too much time away from you know,
- 3:48Speaker 2: you're heavy and all that. So they were persistent. So
- 3:52Speaker 2: I remember, I figured I'll go just go teach a
- 3:53Speaker 2: class and shut him up, right. And I went in
- 3:56Speaker 2: there and they had been prime time, and I, you know,
- 3:59Speaker 2: people always say to me when I go on that stage,
- 4:01Speaker 2: I turned into somebody else, something else. I don't know
- 4:04Speaker 2: what it is I turn into, but you know, remember
- 4:08Speaker 2: I'm on there and I could see someone watching me
- 4:10Speaker 2: from the corner, you know, while I was teaching. And
- 4:13Speaker 2: when I got off the station I was finished, the
- 4:15Speaker 2: people in the class just kind of surrounded me, and
- 4:17Speaker 2: you know, I'm kind of looking at my watch. Just
- 4:19Speaker 2: get go home and make dinner. And they said, well,
- 4:21Speaker 2: hope you teach here. I hope you teach here. And
- 4:22Speaker 2: I said, you know, I just came to do a
- 4:24Speaker 2: you know, an audition. So when I stepped out of
- 4:26Speaker 2: the door, he said to me, welcome to the plot.
- 4:29Speaker 2: And I thought, wow, I didn't know that I agreed to,
- 4:32Speaker 2: you know, to be here. So long story short, I
- 4:35Speaker 2: was going back and I took two classes which turned
- 4:37Speaker 2: into three classes. And that's a that's a testament to you.
- 4:41Speaker 2: Right when they were requested more and more So I
- 4:44Speaker 2: remember walking in to teach one of the class one night,
- 4:47Speaker 2: and you know, you said, when you finish your class
- 4:49Speaker 2: and just pop into my office, and so I said, okay,
- 4:52Speaker 2: So I finished. You know, I run a change and
- 4:53Speaker 2: change and got out because you know, I see your
- 4:55Speaker 2: community in your corporate suit because I work with the government,
- 4:58Speaker 2: and you know changing, you know, you turn into this
- 5:01Speaker 2: other individual that I can see your passion. I hope.
- 5:04Speaker 2: I want to build a chain of wellness facilities and
- 5:07Speaker 2: I want you to be a part of that. And
- 5:10Speaker 2: you know, I said, well, some other time, can you
- 5:12Speaker 2: tell me what that entails. So I go back to
- 5:14Speaker 2: my boss, which I loved him. This man was amazing
- 5:17Speaker 2: that I worked with. And I said, Andrew, you know,
- 5:19Speaker 2: this guy wants me to be partner in this chain
- 5:21Speaker 2: of wellness club and all that. He says, jos Man,
- 5:23Speaker 2: to tell you something, I would hate to lose you.
- 5:25Speaker 2: But if you want to take some live of absent
- 5:27Speaker 2: and see if it's something you want to be, you know,
- 5:30Speaker 2: because I see your passion for that, and you know,
- 5:33Speaker 2: and I said, but these are clubs from the from
- 5:35Speaker 2: the ground, you know, you know, like I have to
- 5:37Speaker 2: be responsible to make it successful. Right, So one of
- 5:41Speaker 2: the idiots, right, So I took the leave of absence
- 5:43Speaker 2: and I started, so you can't have an empty club
- 5:46Speaker 2: when it opens. And I said, you know, who am
- 5:49Speaker 2: I going to prospect to be here? And I chose
- 5:52Speaker 2: employee wellness. So I would go to an organization and
- 5:56Speaker 2: I would start, I would clot till I get to
- 5:58Speaker 2: the top for somebody to say yes to me. And
- 6:00Speaker 2: I would say, what do you give your employees as
- 6:03Speaker 2: a bonus? Do you give them a watch? Do you
- 6:05Speaker 2: send them on a vacation? What do you do for incentive?
- 6:08Speaker 2: And you know, they would say, yeah, you know, I said,
- 6:10Speaker 2: you know, we sometimes give them money if they go
- 6:11Speaker 2: want to join a club, you know. And at that time,
- 6:13Speaker 2: I'm realizing that wasn't a fix, even though if they
- 6:16Speaker 2: signed up with me, my facility is going to have
- 6:18Speaker 2: a whole lot of people all at once, you know.
- 6:21Speaker 2: But I says, that's not really the fix, you know,
- 6:24Speaker 2: And I said what, I says, Well, how would you
- 6:25Speaker 2: do this? I said, well, I usually at a new club,
- 6:28Speaker 2: put myself on the schedule. I'm right there with everyone
- 6:31Speaker 2: so that I can build it. They get to know
- 6:33Speaker 2: me and everything. We went probably about twenty body time,
- 6:39Speaker 2: I decided I was going to do it on my own,
- 6:41Speaker 2: you know, because I would go to companies and they
- 6:44Speaker 2: would come in and I would be able to get
- 6:45Speaker 2: the employees to stay because I've put myself there, right yeah,
- 6:50Speaker 2: and you know, so you know I would. I ended
- 6:52Speaker 2: up saying I'm going to do my own. I'm going
- 6:54Speaker 2: to do my own, and then got the landlord who
- 6:56Speaker 2: bought into it. You know, I got the space. The
- 7:00Speaker 2: Committee of Adjustments said to me, I don't want you
- 7:02Speaker 2: in my space. And know this landlord's you know, which
- 7:06Speaker 2: was love but it was a major grocery store. And
- 7:08Speaker 2: I say their name because he took my idea and
- 7:11Speaker 2: you know, said they don't want you in here. So
- 7:14Speaker 2: I went. They took me to the Committee adjustment and
- 7:16Speaker 2: I won, but the finances was not there. And I
- 7:19Speaker 2: just want to make people well because I look at
- 7:22Speaker 2: wellness more than working out in the gym. You know.
- 7:26Speaker 2: I know when I had if I had my own,
- 7:28Speaker 2: there was going to be a section where's integrated help,
- 7:31Speaker 2: naturopractic doctors, massage therapists, you name it, right, So I
- 7:35Speaker 2: do the wellness so they don't just work out and
- 7:39Speaker 2: walk away long story short, someone heard that I left
- 7:42Speaker 2: this major organization and Lenox Slow is a professional fighter
- 7:47Speaker 2: and you know, reached out to me and says, I
- 7:49Speaker 2: have a fledging facility. Would you come and help us?
- 7:51Speaker 2: So I walked in cocky, No, I'll help you, but
- 7:53Speaker 2: I'm going to do my own, not gonna work for
- 7:55Speaker 2: anybody else. So he said to me, can I sweep
- 7:59Speaker 2: the pie? You can also, so you know, But I said, well,
- 8:02Speaker 2: the pie meaning your assistant or something. Nothing wrong with that,
- 8:04Speaker 2: but that's not my stick. What you can sweet the
- 8:07Speaker 2: pie is, you know, like partner with me on that
- 8:10Speaker 2: other facility. This is how I wunt you into the
- 8:12Speaker 2: boxing field. And I said, okay, if I come to
- 8:15Speaker 2: work at your organization, we are going to make workplace
- 8:19Speaker 2: wellness a part of what we do. And the Toronto
- 8:25Speaker 2: is one of our biggest clients. Actually, because I say
- 8:28Speaker 2: what I mean, and I mean what I say, and
- 8:30Speaker 2: I'm absolutely it's not a sexy job that I do,
- 8:33Speaker 2: and I get lots of pushback, but I will talk
- 8:37Speaker 2: to that person really gives up and says, okay, all right,
- 8:39Speaker 2: come in.
- 8:40Speaker 1: You know, yeah, well I mean that your persistence definitely, Desmond,
- 8:44Speaker 1: I think that's so important, and that's why I want
- 8:47Speaker 1: to hear a little bit of the background. Because of
- 8:49Speaker 1: your passion and for doing this for so long, working
- 8:52Speaker 1: with Lennis Lewis, doing the box fit, pilates, aerobics, all
- 8:57Speaker 1: of these things you've been doing and teaching and creating.
- 9:00Speaker 1: You are coming from a place of living this out.
- 9:03Speaker 1: And I think it's important when I have a guess
- 9:05Speaker 1: on this on the podcast is but I want people
- 9:08Speaker 1: to listen and hear from people that live what they're
- 9:10Speaker 1: sharing live and and they're not just trying to sell
- 9:13Speaker 1: you some product or service that they don't live themselves.
- 9:16Speaker 1: You've lived this out day in and day out, and
- 9:19Speaker 1: you're committed to it. Could you see you see what
- 9:22Speaker 1: happens if we don't do this, Like you said, there's burnout,
- 9:25Speaker 1: high app to you know, hid loss, losing of your employees, absenteeism,
- 9:32Speaker 1: there's those you know Monday morning heart attacks, if you will,
- 9:34Speaker 1: like you know, getting overloaded, right.
- 9:36Speaker 2: Oh yeah, and and and being in the space that
- 9:40Speaker 2: I was that I'm in right Being in the space
- 9:43Speaker 2: it's almost like you go to the barbershop. You know,
- 9:45Speaker 2: when you go to the barbershop, you tell the barber
- 9:47Speaker 2: everything about your life that you won't normally tell anyone else. Yeah, yeah,
- 9:52Speaker 2: you know, if you if you're to go to a
- 9:53Speaker 2: barbership and sit there here, everybody's like or the hair dresser.
- 9:55Speaker 2: You know, I've been to New Year, just so where's
- 9:57Speaker 2: hours of doing whatever? Here? You hear everything you tell
- 10:00Speaker 2: you spill your teeth. And I hear that over and
- 10:03Speaker 2: over and over and over. And most people equate burnout.
- 10:08Speaker 2: They think it's a badge of honor. And it's not
- 10:11Speaker 2: a badge of honor. And because it is such a
- 10:14Speaker 2: hidden there's the signs are so hidden that people walk
- 10:19Speaker 2: around with, you know, all the symptoms of burnout. And
- 10:24Speaker 2: and that's why you know, I created the burnout pie
- 10:27Speaker 2: or the burnout framework. The burnout pie is very visible.
- 10:31Speaker 2: People can identify with it, people can associate with it.
- 10:35Speaker 2: And so I always say to someone, Okay, first thing
- 10:39Speaker 2: I asked, and what do you think wellnesses? You know,
- 10:42Speaker 2: when I go into an organization.
- 10:45Speaker 1: Question yes, someone, I mean somebody, somebody say wellness? Is
- 10:49Speaker 1: that just working out?
- 10:50Speaker 2: Right? The first say to me, we don't have a
- 10:53Speaker 2: gym with you know, some saying I don't have a gym,
- 10:55Speaker 2: and they don't have the money to have a gym.
- 10:56Speaker 2: And I laughed and I said, you have a gym.
- 10:58Speaker 2: I love it. But if you don't do it, I
- 11:00Speaker 2: love it too, you know, because that's not what it's
- 11:04Speaker 2: all about. When I sit down. You know, in the
- 11:07Speaker 2: wellness is a happy and I studied the word wellness
- 11:10Speaker 2: in every aspect. I break it down into a framework.
- 11:13Speaker 2: The W you know, is working together but ease education.
- 11:16Speaker 2: You know, every word, every letter in wellness is a
- 11:20Speaker 2: happy thing where you can put it into the work.
- 11:23Speaker 2: But the reason I didn't just do the framework with
- 11:25Speaker 2: the letters and I did the pie because David, if
- 11:29Speaker 2: I were come to you and said, you know what,
- 11:30Speaker 2: here's your favorite apple pie, and if you consume that
- 11:35Speaker 2: apple pie, all of it at once, you're not going
- 11:38Speaker 2: to feel well, even if you have a big appetite.
- 11:40Speaker 1: Even it's like my favorite pie, if you.
- 11:43Speaker 2: Want well because it's too much. So in my burnouf
- 11:47Speaker 2: pie and my burnout framework, there are eight slices. It
- 11:52Speaker 2: could be a large, extra large pie, but I'm taking
- 11:54Speaker 2: it now equate it to a medium pie. And in
- 11:58Speaker 2: that medium pie, I take eight slices and I dissect it.
- 12:04Speaker 2: It could be sleeplessness. It could be anxiety. It could
- 12:08Speaker 2: be chronic stress, it could be mental stress, it could
- 12:11Speaker 2: be depression. All that is in the pie, and I
- 12:14Speaker 2: have the framework for That's all that I've said to you.
- 12:17Speaker 2: That is in the burnout pie. A lot of people
- 12:20Speaker 2: walk out with a full pie every day and they
- 12:25Speaker 2: equate tiredness to lock of sleep, or they equate you know, oh,
- 12:32Speaker 2: I feel tired and maybe I need a vacation. A
- 12:34Speaker 2: vacation is great when you're healthy. A vacation is not
- 12:39Speaker 2: great if you're burnt out, because you're gonna be on
- 12:42Speaker 2: that beach and you're gonna reach for your phone and
- 12:46Speaker 2: you're not going to be yourself. When I take a
- 12:49Speaker 2: vacation myself, I'm on the beach for like eight hours straight.
- 12:53Speaker 2: I mean, yeah, I get a ten sometimes too. You know,
- 12:57Speaker 2: all people the ten And how do you know you
- 12:59Speaker 2: got a tann? I know, I gotta turn right, you know, so,
- 13:04Speaker 2: because I feel this is heaven to me. This is
- 13:06Speaker 2: what I like. This is how I do it. So
- 13:09Speaker 2: in working with an individual, you know, And I was
- 13:12Speaker 2: at a workshop the other day and you know, an
- 13:14Speaker 2: HR person said to me, well, how do you teach
- 13:16Speaker 2: the burnout pie to a group of people, you know,
- 13:19Speaker 2: and I said, you know, good question out of a
- 13:21Speaker 2: group of people. However, I don't just go into a
- 13:25Speaker 2: group and say blah blah blah blah blah blah blah
- 13:27Speaker 2: blah blah. There's a survey, there's questions, there is a topic.
- 13:31Speaker 2: Because no matter if someone says to me, I don't
- 13:34Speaker 2: have anyone, I don't think I'll find anyone that doesn't
- 13:37Speaker 2: have any one of the slices, even it's just that
- 13:40Speaker 2: they have everything else what they have a problem sleeping
- 13:42Speaker 2: or you know a little bit of anxiety. You monitor yourself.
- 13:47Speaker 2: How are you when you interact with someone? How are
- 13:51Speaker 2: you irritable easily? Do you, you know, wake up in
- 13:55Speaker 2: the morning and you stump off the bed, and you
- 13:57Speaker 2: stump in the shower, and you grab the coffee and
- 13:58Speaker 2: drive three thousand miles? Are you slam the door and
- 14:01Speaker 2: you go in? And most people don't equate that to burnout.
- 14:05Speaker 2: That is a part of you can see when someone
- 14:09Speaker 2: is in sync and how they can recognize it. And
- 14:12Speaker 2: the whole idea of teaching from the burnout pie is
- 14:16Speaker 2: because none of us are perfect. All of us have
- 14:19Speaker 2: or whatever you know, we have our patience is not whatever.
- 14:23Speaker 2: And the reason I push it for the workplace is
- 14:25Speaker 2: because you take it home, you take it into community,
- 14:29Speaker 2: and even the children, you can recognize burnout because if
- 14:32Speaker 2: you have a child that doesn't want to go to
- 14:34Speaker 2: school and cry in the morning, you better go to
- 14:38Speaker 2: work and see that teacher could be burnout and taking
- 14:40Speaker 2: it on your kid or whatever. So this is why
- 14:44Speaker 2: I equate it to that. So they can take it
- 14:46Speaker 2: home and they can see step by step and in
- 14:49Speaker 2: the going back to the group. Going back to the group,
- 14:52Speaker 2: you know, I will say, okay, today we'll just teach
- 14:56Speaker 2: on detachment. And you would be surprised how many people
- 15:02Speaker 2: say they feel that through various forces in the work
- 15:07Speaker 2: I am not against everybody pushing for the promotion. I'm
- 15:10Speaker 2: not against everyone wanting to strive because I'm very competitive.
- 15:13Speaker 2: If you look on my link, if you look at
- 15:15Speaker 2: my LinkedIn, you see a plaque I got from Lenox
- 15:17Speaker 2: Luisi and the Mike Tyson fight. You know, you know
- 15:20Speaker 2: I'm not out there boxing, but I'm working hard so
- 15:23Speaker 2: that you successful and I want I was successful. You
- 15:27Speaker 2: know in my real estate days, I have a whole
- 15:29Speaker 2: office full of awards and stuff like that. Get your awards,
- 15:34Speaker 2: but look after yourself. Look after yourself. I will sit
- 15:39Speaker 2: and because I'm in tuned to what it is. It's
- 15:41Speaker 2: not that I'm judging anyone or that I'm going to
- 15:44Speaker 2: a workplace and disrupting the workplace. I'm not doing that.
- 15:49Speaker 2: But surprised when you have a thriving, absolutely organization your health.
- 15:55Speaker 1: Yeah, so I want to so I what I heard
- 15:58Speaker 1: you say here, Well, well, let's for sure, isn't just
- 16:01Speaker 1: you know, workouts. There's a lot of things that you're assessed.
- 16:04Speaker 1: And I heard you say too, Jasmine, and you're assessing it.
- 16:06Speaker 1: It's not a one size fits all. You're looking at organization.
- 16:08Speaker 1: You're looking at the person and saying, maybe maybe the
- 16:11Speaker 1: gym is something, but maybe it's some chiropractor, nutritionists, masoce therapists,
- 16:17Speaker 1: maybe there's other elements that they need to help them.
- 16:20Speaker 1: Based on that pie that I just heard you break down, right, Yes,
- 16:24Speaker 1: And so if you are not being intentional about that
- 16:27Speaker 1: in your workplace, you know, because I think in the
- 16:30Speaker 1: business roundtable, that's whe we're starting kind of ground zero
- 16:32Speaker 1: is you're getting a lot of quiet, quitting mental health challenges,
- 16:37Speaker 1: dis engage workforce. You know, they're not as productive as
- 16:42Speaker 1: they could be. And and I I try to come
- 16:44Speaker 1: in as as work with a healthy working with the
- 16:47Speaker 1: team in a healthy way. But if they're physically not there,
- 16:50Speaker 1: it can't be present. They've got this that that they
- 16:54Speaker 1: that's really we can't build the team up. So if
- 16:56Speaker 1: we've got those physical challenges, mental challenge is you know
- 17:02Speaker 1: what you're what you're bringing up here is this health
- 17:05Speaker 1: and wellness standard that we're saying, Hey, let's let's raise
- 17:07Speaker 1: this up for everybody as a practical, powerful solution to
- 17:13Speaker 1: you know, lead more effectively, take care of our employees,
- 17:16Speaker 1: help them around a lot longer. Right, I mean, yes,
- 17:21Speaker 1: I would love to abut this baby, just share a
- 17:23Speaker 1: bit about your journey in that and kind of implementing
- 17:28Speaker 1: some of these things you've done in the workplace. And
- 17:30Speaker 1: and just I mean, I think it's so powerful because
- 17:33Speaker 1: some people are saying, well, you know, you know, I
- 17:37Speaker 1: love the pie analogy because I think that's really helpful
- 17:40Speaker 1: to break it down of like thinking about it a
- 17:41Speaker 1: little bit more. Finally, because in wrapping our brains, abount
- 17:46Speaker 1: where people are at and how can we help them
- 17:49Speaker 1: more effectively if we do that. And so if somebody
- 17:51Speaker 1: like you Jazz been coming in and doing an assessment.
- 17:55Speaker 1: Some of the companies that just don't know. I don't
- 17:57Speaker 1: know what I mean. And like you said, well, let
- 17:58Speaker 1: me just buy you a gym membership, or let me
- 17:59Speaker 1: get you or shoes hard to give you what.
- 18:03Speaker 2: Shoes which have told me I one hundred and fifty
- 18:07Speaker 2: dollars to go And I took it about of shoes
- 18:09Speaker 2: and there's a major organization here that said that to me.
- 18:12Speaker 2: He says, because I don't know what to do. And
- 18:15Speaker 2: you know what the burnupie does. It's not curing anyone,
- 18:18Speaker 2: but is pointing out what's happening with you. For someone
- 18:21Speaker 2: that is mentally stressed or depressed, the burn up I
- 18:28Speaker 2: have them recognize there in that state so they can
- 18:31Speaker 2: go further with somebody who's qualified, you know, to take
- 18:37Speaker 2: them to that mental you know, cure them up. So
- 18:40Speaker 2: it's it's the bernupe is basically saying, pointing out, like
- 18:44Speaker 2: a big headlight, what's going on. And it all depends,
- 18:48Speaker 2: you know, what's in my scope. I became a certified
- 18:51Speaker 2: herbalist because of that, because I want people to you know,
- 18:54Speaker 2: to have I got wellness holistically, which is my spirit
- 18:58Speaker 2: you know, I'm a certified yoga teacher as well. You know,
- 19:00Speaker 2: I'm into mindfulness meditation as well. And most people think,
- 19:04Speaker 2: you know meditation, you sit for twenty minutes. You know,
- 19:07Speaker 2: you can close your eyes at your desk for like
- 19:09Speaker 2: a few seconds and people just and just move your
- 19:12Speaker 2: shoulders and just sit there and just be present, and
- 19:16Speaker 2: you'll be surprised that the energy you get just to
- 19:19Speaker 2: do the next thing that you know you're you're doing.
- 19:23Speaker 2: So when I go into an organization, I start with
- 19:26Speaker 2: leadership because the compassionate leader it's important. And what that
- 19:32Speaker 2: means is a lot of leaders are burnt out themselves.
- 19:35Speaker 2: A lot of CEOs are burnt out themselves. And if
- 19:38Speaker 2: they recognize and so it's feeding off. You know, the
- 19:41Speaker 2: energy is feeding off, and it's just one big washing,
- 19:43Speaker 2: you know washing missine cycle.
- 19:45Speaker 1: Yep.
- 19:45Speaker 2: And compassionate leader. I was in a podcast and I
- 19:48Speaker 2: spoke only on compassionate leadership because I said, okay, here's
- 19:52Speaker 2: a burnout pie. But the compassionate leader is going to
- 19:57Speaker 2: build a trust. So that person talking them about what's
- 20:00Speaker 2: going on in their pie, they can have an open door.
- 20:04Speaker 2: They can recognize them with themselves, so they have more patience.
- 20:08Speaker 2: They can understand that a healthy team is going to
- 20:11Speaker 2: cut you know, healthcare costs. They're going to thrive. They
- 20:15Speaker 2: don't have to be on that hamster wheel of you know,
- 20:18Speaker 2: I'm going to do this, you know, and if I
- 20:20Speaker 2: don't do something fired And the compassion leader also has
- 20:23Speaker 2: to know and the world of AI. You know, one
- 20:26Speaker 2: of my videos on YouTube says, is AI friend or full?
- 20:30Speaker 2: And you know, I can understand where all that anxiety
- 20:34Speaker 2: is going to build up the more you know, AI
- 20:36Speaker 2: comes in, and people are going to be stressed out
- 20:39Speaker 2: and people are going to think it's you know, I'm
- 20:40Speaker 2: going to lose my job. But the compassionate leader will
- 20:44Speaker 2: understand and reassure their team. You don't have to be
- 20:48Speaker 2: in that burnout pie. You don't have to fear AI.
- 20:51Speaker 2: You don't have to There's a way that emotional and
- 20:54Speaker 2: intelligence from a compassionate leader is going to tie into
- 20:58Speaker 2: the pie. Yes, you allow that workplace or that organization
- 21:04Speaker 2: to just thrive.
- 21:05Speaker 1: Yeah, absolutely, Well, I think I'm walking people in that
- 21:08Speaker 1: regards is important. I agree, And I think this is
- 21:11Speaker 1: where you and I definitely find synergy and overlapping in
- 21:14Speaker 1: a way of you know, knowing yourself as a leader,
- 21:16Speaker 1: appreciating who you are, where you're at, and being able
- 21:19Speaker 1: to identify that. I think one of the things I've
- 21:22Speaker 1: done in my own health journey is just do like
- 21:23Speaker 1: a literally scan on my body and where I'm at,
- 21:26Speaker 1: where am I from head to toe? Just being at
- 21:28Speaker 1: this and like I said, being mindful of what's what's
- 21:30Speaker 1: going on. Because, like you said, if you can't do that,
- 21:33Speaker 1: start with yourself, how are you going to deal with
- 21:35Speaker 1: other people to lead?
- 21:37Speaker 2: To lead? Right?
- 21:38Speaker 1: If you've got to start, like you said, get with
- 21:41Speaker 1: the top leadership and get them buying in on this
- 21:44Speaker 1: and saying, hey, this is really important. Not only I'm
- 21:47Speaker 1: going to live it, but I want to be able
- 21:49Speaker 1: to provide you the opportunity, the environment for you to
- 21:52Speaker 1: also experience this.
- 21:53Speaker 2: Yeah, and absolutely, And you know, I'll tell you a
- 21:56Speaker 2: quick story because self diagnosi this is dangerous. You know,
- 22:04Speaker 2: they burn out.
- 22:05Speaker 1: The Yeah you're you're alone, You're isolated, right, and.
- 22:08Speaker 2: They're saying I'm tired, But you know what is that tired?
- 22:11Speaker 2: This mean get to the root cause I'll tell the
- 22:13Speaker 2: Brooks story to see how someone can mask something that
- 22:18Speaker 2: happened in a whole different area. So this lady came
- 22:20Speaker 2: in with her son into the facility, and you know,
- 22:24Speaker 2: the son came out and he's a grown man. His
- 22:26Speaker 2: mother and his mother came in, and you know, I
- 22:30Speaker 2: looked at her. You look at her and you think, okay, yeah,
- 22:32Speaker 2: you know, she's overweight, so that she's probably gonna talk
- 22:34Speaker 2: about the weight, right, But I send something when she
- 22:38Speaker 2: walked in, and that's where emotional intelligence comes at. And
- 22:43Speaker 2: I said to her son, I said, do you mind
- 22:45Speaker 2: if we just if I just speak to your mom
- 22:48Speaker 2: for a while, you know, and then you can join
- 22:50Speaker 2: us later. And she came in and she sat down
- 22:55Speaker 2: and I sat down, and you know, I said, you know, welcome,
- 22:58Speaker 2: thanks for coming in. And I noticed the tears was
- 23:02Speaker 2: like right at the lid. She was fighting the tears
- 23:05Speaker 2: to come down. So I sat back, didn't say a word.
- 23:08Speaker 2: I just sat back and David, she cried and cried
- 23:13Speaker 2: literally for close to twenty minutes, just cry. Didn't say
- 23:17Speaker 2: a word to her. I just let her cry because
- 23:21Speaker 2: just to imagine, she has all that pent up. She
- 23:23Speaker 2: wasn't allowed to cry at home because if she cried
- 23:26Speaker 2: at home or hubby is going to say not in
- 23:28Speaker 2: pain and then the funny thing is, I'm not in
- 23:30Speaker 2: the end, you realized that it had nothing to do
- 23:33Speaker 2: with what the husband was saying. She was just more
- 23:35Speaker 2: sensitive to what the husband was saying. You know, she
- 23:38Speaker 2: was in a high pressure job at work. She had
- 23:41Speaker 2: a husband who comes home who probably didn't give her
- 23:43Speaker 2: the attention of the time because she brought that stress in.
- 23:47Speaker 2: He didn't know how to cope with that. So there's
- 23:49Speaker 2: this whole synergy going on home. But I sat there
- 23:52Speaker 2: and I just listened, and when I realized, okay, you
- 23:55Speaker 2: can't have any more tears left in her body. So
- 23:58Speaker 2: then I took a sigh and she said to me,
- 24:03Speaker 2: I said, I want you to come back in a
- 24:04Speaker 2: couple of days and see me didn't ask her anything,
- 24:07Speaker 2: didn't see I'm doing a designer program. I said, just
- 24:10Speaker 2: like you to come back and see me in a
- 24:11Speaker 2: couple of days. Would you do that for me? And
- 24:13Speaker 2: she said yes, I will. And I said, that's a
- 24:15Speaker 2: promise you're going to keep, right, She says, yes, I will.
- 24:18Speaker 2: And I think the reason she kept it is because
- 24:20Speaker 2: I didn't know what I was doing. I didn't know
- 24:23Speaker 2: what I was doing. I know it was doing something
- 24:24Speaker 2: good for her. At the same time, I realized that
- 24:29Speaker 2: whatever it is, whatever it is, she was appreciated about it.
- 24:32Speaker 2: She didn't know how to communicated. When she came back
- 24:35Speaker 2: the next day, she sat down and she says, the
- 24:37Speaker 2: first thing she said to me says, I have to
- 24:40Speaker 2: thank you for what you did for me the other day.
- 24:43Speaker 2: She said, you gave me the space, and I don't
- 24:46Speaker 2: know how long to be me to let it out,
- 24:52Speaker 2: to drop all the cares from work, all the cares
- 24:56Speaker 2: from home, and whatever self esteem I have, because and
- 25:01Speaker 2: when people are not happy, the weight comes on. Right.
- 25:06Speaker 1: Oh yeah, yeah, definitely. That's definitely a coping mechanism, right,
- 25:09Speaker 1: that's more.
- 25:10Speaker 2: Yeah. So she was in that and I worked with her.
- 25:14Speaker 2: You know, we laughed about it. I worked with her,
- 25:16Speaker 2: and you know, at the time, I'm telling David, I
- 25:17Speaker 2: probably needed a time too, because I'm usually going going,
- 25:20Speaker 2: going like a hamster wheel fixing the world, right, yep,
- 25:23Speaker 2: but what twenty minutes are close to twenty minutes of
- 25:25Speaker 2: just death side? You know how hard it is to
- 25:27Speaker 2: sit for twenty minutes and side waiting for twenty minutes, right?
- 25:31Speaker 1: Yeah, yes, So you know I kept.
- 25:33Speaker 2: Working with her. We designed, she kept her appointment. Long
- 25:36Speaker 2: story short, I didn't tell her that wasn't the plan.
- 25:39Speaker 2: We didn't talk about weight. We designed a program for
- 25:41Speaker 2: her to be well. Yes, we booked in the health
- 25:44Speaker 2: clinic so she can you know, speak at a massag
- 25:48Speaker 2: get her missauw whatever she needed to do. Ended not
- 25:51Speaker 2: being a professional bodybuilder. Wow, weird all hot, but so no,
- 26:00Speaker 2: you have a happy husband. No one cares at home
- 26:02Speaker 2: because she's happy at home, she's happy at work. She's happy.
- 26:08Speaker 2: But she had to find herself.
- 26:10Speaker 1: Yes, absolutely, and so she found it.
- 26:13Speaker 2: So that's wellness in all on its own.
- 26:15Speaker 1: I love that. I love that, Storry Jazz. I mean,
- 26:17Speaker 1: one of the things you're saying that I think is
- 26:20Speaker 1: really important is you gave her the space. And everybody's
- 26:23Speaker 1: a little different, like you said, maybe the meditation, and
- 26:26Speaker 1: I think I love the way you're presenting some different options.
- 26:30Speaker 1: There's a sort of a herbalist, you know, the holistic
- 26:33Speaker 1: ways of what does a person need? And sometimes we
- 26:37Speaker 1: get stuck on only one, like I said, the one
- 26:39Speaker 1: answer it's the gym or something. I mean, that's the
- 26:41Speaker 1: people that go to the gym in an unhealthy way.
- 26:43Speaker 1: I mean they're in the gym that's they're working out
- 26:46Speaker 1: so hard and and they're like, you know, but they're
- 26:49Speaker 1: unhealthy in other ways of their life. And what I
- 26:52Speaker 1: find I love where you're coming in. And I want
- 26:54Speaker 1: to just pause because I want businesses to hear this,
- 26:56Speaker 1: and not just business owners, any leader of any team organization,
- 27:01Speaker 1: because you could be pushing like just work that extra
- 27:04Speaker 1: hour and grind it instead of like if you took
- 27:07Speaker 1: five ten minutes of meditation and quieting your mind, you
- 27:11Speaker 1: can be so much more productive. But I think there's
- 27:14Speaker 1: what you're what I hear, Jasmine is educating and helping
- 27:17Speaker 1: people understand this different way of being and showing up
- 27:20Speaker 1: and they just want to like, you know, we're in
- 27:22Speaker 1: this place sometimes now where come to work eight to five?
- 27:24Speaker 1: You must be in there in an office and your
- 27:26Speaker 1: but butts in the seat, and that's the way it
- 27:28Speaker 1: has to be. And we're going like in these extremes,
- 27:31Speaker 1: I feel like and I'm what I'm hearing you, Jasmine,
- 27:33Speaker 1: is you're kind of opening up possibilities and ways of
- 27:35Speaker 1: being in an overall healthy and well way depending on
- 27:39Speaker 1: and it's different for different people. You just gave an
- 27:41Speaker 1: example of this woman, so you can't just say it's
- 27:44Speaker 1: a one size fits all boom. You know, just do this.
- 27:49Speaker 2: Definitely not a one size fit all David, because like
- 27:53Speaker 2: I said, you know, in the in the word wellness
- 27:55Speaker 2: is a happy word for me, and if minages well,
- 27:58Speaker 2: it's a happy word. There's nowhere in wellness that said
- 28:01Speaker 2: you have to go lift five pounds a weight or
- 28:03Speaker 2: twenty pounds a weight or there's nowhere in the world.
- 28:06Speaker 2: But you know, the is educated, that el is listen,
- 28:10Speaker 2: the end is nurtured, there's success, you know, sustain. It's
- 28:14Speaker 2: all very positive letters in the word wellness for the framework.
- 28:20Speaker 2: And all I'm doing is bringing the pie for people
- 28:24Speaker 2: to And there are two pies in my teaching. It's
- 28:26Speaker 2: the well pie. And it becomes competitive because people want
- 28:30Speaker 2: to get over to the well pie. You know, I've
- 28:33Speaker 2: had a month where my sleep has improved eighty to
- 28:36Speaker 2: ninety percent, you know, and sometimes they go over to
- 28:39Speaker 2: the well pie and some life, like what's happening to
- 28:43Speaker 2: a friend of mine, life happens, and you know, then
- 28:47Speaker 2: they might have to come back over because they're in
- 28:49Speaker 2: a state of depression. They might have to come over there,
- 28:52Speaker 2: and they're going to have to work. And that's why
- 28:54Speaker 2: I say, the organization don't just have me in for
- 28:57Speaker 2: a workshop. Yeah, I can do a workshop for a day,
- 28:59Speaker 2: but you know, you want to waste your money in
- 29:01Speaker 2: your time for me to do a worship in a day.
- 29:02Speaker 1: Yeah, it doesn't work with one day. It's not a
- 29:04Speaker 1: one one time.
- 29:06Speaker 2: Rome wasn't built in a day. You know, once you
- 29:09Speaker 2: have that pattern of creating that and there's some companies
- 29:14Speaker 2: that have to say that do it well. Some organizations
- 29:16Speaker 2: at the workshop that I was at the other day,
- 29:18Speaker 2: a small tech company, you know, these young Jelli's there,
- 29:21Speaker 2: you know, with their tech companies and they're proud to
- 29:24Speaker 2: be owners and their entrepreneurs. You know, I was, you know,
- 29:27Speaker 2: I said, you know, are we too small for you
- 29:29Speaker 2: to deal with? And I said absolutely. I said, I've
- 29:31Speaker 2: had individual listening a podcast and they just want to
- 29:34Speaker 2: work or they said, my dad needs to work with
- 29:37Speaker 2: you or my child needs to work with you to
- 29:41Speaker 2: understand the coping mechanism right of what you do at work.
- 29:45Speaker 2: So I have all aspect of it, and like I
- 29:48Speaker 2: have the reason I stress in work, and I tell
- 29:51Speaker 2: the you know, the organization, the workplace, the mechanics shop,
- 29:54Speaker 2: the finance department, the doctor, the nurse. The funny thing
- 29:59Speaker 2: about it, every profession fits into the well but into
- 30:03Speaker 2: the into the burnout pie. Hmm, every single profession. I
- 30:07Speaker 2: mean you hear the nurses, you know over COVID half
- 30:10Speaker 2: of them are gone. They're stressed. The doctors they don't
- 30:13Speaker 2: have enough non territors. When I have enough doctors where
- 30:16Speaker 2: they all go. You know, when you're a kid, you
- 30:18Speaker 2: can pick, you know which doctor you want to go
- 30:20Speaker 2: through in a block. You know they're burnt out to
- 30:24Speaker 2: in a you know, in a very different way. You know,
- 30:26Speaker 2: there're kids that are going through so many things, teachers
- 30:31Speaker 2: that are stressed because of the shootings in school and
- 30:34Speaker 2: all that. I'm not saying I want to heal the world,
- 30:38Speaker 2: but I want the world to understand and redefine what
- 30:42Speaker 2: wellness means. To that.
- 30:45Speaker 1: Yeah, well, I mean I think you and I have
- 30:47Speaker 1: a similar passion. I think business, if done well, can
- 30:51Speaker 1: become healing and you can have a healing organization. I
- 30:54Speaker 1: think anybody can if you do it with intention. I
- 30:57Speaker 1: think what yes, I've seen what you're saying is by
- 30:59Speaker 1: doing that, you know, you get boosted morale and productivity
- 31:03Speaker 1: from your team, intent, retention and engagement, and you know,
- 31:09Speaker 1: it's really a win win ultimately, but it is. It
- 31:12Speaker 1: is if anybody you and I have both done, you know,
- 31:16Speaker 1: anything physical or anything really in life that we want
- 31:20Speaker 1: to get better at takes time. It doesn't just happen,
- 31:22Speaker 1: you know, And so the more that we keep at
- 31:28Speaker 1: it and consistent, the better like likely of success. Like
- 31:31Speaker 1: you're saying, if it's a one time thing, not likely
- 31:33Speaker 1: going to have success, you know, But if you're doing
- 31:35Speaker 1: this repeatedly in building on these, you will actually see
- 31:39Speaker 1: that over time. You'll look back and you're like, oh, wow,
- 31:42Speaker 1: I didn't realize. You know, I'm thinking more clearly, I've
- 31:46Speaker 1: lost the weight, I've built the muscle whatever the case
- 31:49Speaker 1: might be, right, I've reduced having I was just talking
- 31:51Speaker 1: to a gentleman yesterday. You know he's getting off medications. Okay,
- 31:55Speaker 1: I've reduced have less metigations now, you know. So we're
- 31:59Speaker 1: moving in this in this way. I think what oftentimes
- 32:03Speaker 1: I think, Jasmin, what you and I face in the organizations.
- 32:06Speaker 1: I'm trying to help with the people side of things.
- 32:08Speaker 1: You're trying to help with people in their their wellness
- 32:11Speaker 1: is these things are Unfortunately we wait until until the
- 32:17Speaker 1: heart attack comes until something arises, and then we want
- 32:22Speaker 1: to take action when we when we could have greatly
- 32:25Speaker 1: minimize that impact the pain that we're facing there. I
- 32:29Speaker 1: was actually just tell you that we have to choose pain.
- 32:31Speaker 1: Choose your pain. Well, I've got to choose the pain
- 32:34Speaker 1: of discipline, self discipline and the things you're talking about creating,
- 32:37Speaker 1: stay investing yourself versus the pain that will come later
- 32:41Speaker 1: on the consequences that will come. Right if we.
- 32:44Speaker 2: Choose, how do you redefine wellness? I mean, I've worked
- 32:51Speaker 2: for all my life, you know, in the gym aspect
- 32:53Speaker 2: of it, and how many heart attacks did I see
- 32:55Speaker 2: in the in the gym? And my other book is
- 32:58Speaker 2: you know, Monday month month and motivation. You know where
- 33:01Speaker 2: they leave work Friday and everybody says, oh, happy Friday.
- 33:06Speaker 3: It's Friday, and this Saturday you're run around doing a
- 33:10Speaker 3: whole lot of stuff. And they start Sunday afternoon worrying
- 33:14Speaker 3: about work from Sunday afternoon. And that's why statistically, and
- 33:19Speaker 3: I heard that statistic from when I was at the WSIB,
- 33:23Speaker 3: is that more heart.
- 33:25Speaker 2: Attacks happened on a Monday. Unfortunately, a lot of suicides
- 33:30Speaker 2: happen on a Monday, and these are the statistics. So
- 33:33Speaker 2: when the world has organization says burnout is an occupational
- 33:38Speaker 2: Oh my god, it's a catastrophe because it goes and
- 33:42Speaker 2: notice and it leaves. It's like these little you know,
- 33:45Speaker 2: burn it are these little fingers that grow into these
- 33:47Speaker 2: big prongs until it's too late, and then you come
- 33:51Speaker 2: back and nobody wants to really address it. There was
- 33:54Speaker 2: a big pharmaceutical company that I went to do a
- 33:57Speaker 2: talk on and he said, I spent this month money
- 34:00Speaker 2: building this big gym, and no one uses it, you know,
- 34:03Speaker 2: And I said, well, you know, don't worry about the gym.
- 34:06Speaker 2: The gym is great to be there because when you
- 34:10Speaker 2: have a person that is stressed on deadline, the last
- 34:13Speaker 2: thing they want to do is to go in there.
- 34:15Speaker 2: It's good. Or one person says, oh we we we
- 34:18Speaker 2: sponsor them at the gym across the hall. No, when
- 34:20Speaker 2: you have deadlines and you have a boss that a
- 34:22Speaker 2: leader that is you know when you upset with you,
- 34:25Speaker 2: if you take too much time, you know it's there.
- 34:28Speaker 2: But it's not just checking the box, which a lot
- 34:31Speaker 2: of companies figure, yeah, it's in our budget, we check
- 34:34Speaker 2: the box. Well, yes, is checking the box. You know
- 34:39Speaker 2: the guy that said to me, he said, you know
- 34:40Speaker 2: a big organization. I won't say it because it's well known,
- 34:43Speaker 2: he said, you know, yes, you know, got one hundred
- 34:45Speaker 2: and fifty dollars of a month, and you know, I
- 34:48Speaker 2: just go and buy myself a running shoes, but I'm
- 34:50Speaker 2: not healthier. Done doesn't do anything for me.
- 34:53Speaker 1: That's why you need somebody like you, Jasmine, to come
- 34:56Speaker 1: in and help them structure it, assess it. Because like said,
- 35:00Speaker 1: left alone, I mean, I hire a professional coach because
- 35:05Speaker 1: I never did the weightlifting in the gym when I
- 35:08Speaker 1: turned forty. And I hire someone because I want to
- 35:09Speaker 1: hurt myself. Yes, I want to have somebody look at
- 35:11Speaker 1: my technique, what am I doing? Give me feedback? And so,
- 35:15Speaker 1: like you said, if you're a company or just checking
- 35:17Speaker 1: a box and kind of throwing money at it and
- 35:18Speaker 1: saying well that's done, it's not you're kind of, like
- 35:20Speaker 1: you said, maybe wasted your money or not really getting
- 35:23Speaker 1: the impact that you really could. And one of the
- 35:26Speaker 1: quotes I really liked on your website or you were
- 35:28Speaker 1: talking about like a healthy workforce makes a healthy company,
- 35:31Speaker 1: you know, and and how do we you know again,
- 35:34Speaker 1: do that intentionally and so you know, knowing why you're
- 35:39Speaker 1: here Jasmine on the podcast is so important because I
- 35:42Speaker 1: want to have resources for other business owners and leaders
- 35:45Speaker 1: to know, look, you're not alone. There's somebody that they
- 35:48Speaker 1: could talk to and find out and discover right and
- 35:50Speaker 1: say like am I too small? Am I too big?
- 35:53Speaker 1: I don't know, to talk with Jasmine and get to know,
- 35:58Speaker 1: you know, how she can help you. You know, I
- 36:01Speaker 1: know we're going to put the show notes so people
- 36:03Speaker 1: can go to your website jazz d health dot com
- 36:06Speaker 1: go check it out. And as we're getting close to
- 36:09Speaker 1: the podcast, I would love just kind of give you
- 36:11Speaker 1: to share some just key key takeaways or thoughts as
- 36:14Speaker 1: folks are listening to this, maybe action items other than
- 36:18Speaker 1: just following up with you directly that they should consider
- 36:21Speaker 1: or just think about.
- 36:22Speaker 2: Jazmin.
- 36:23Speaker 1: So, yeah, well.
- 36:25Speaker 2: You know, I'm going to give your audience a free
- 36:27Speaker 2: copy of my book The Hidden Signs, you know, identified
- 36:30Speaker 2: emotional burnout and all they have to do. There's a
- 36:33Speaker 2: walk up, there's a pop up on my link when
- 36:35Speaker 2: they go to my website, you know, the mindfil Scarity.
- 36:38Speaker 2: It pops up and it just asks them for the
- 36:39Speaker 2: information so I can get it to them, you know,
- 36:42Speaker 2: and as they'll give them a sap if they someone
- 36:44Speaker 2: did it today, in two seconds, it comes to my phone.
- 36:46Speaker 2: They can do that. I have a learning shot on
- 36:49Speaker 2: on YouTube where I give snippets off workplace wellness, what
- 36:53Speaker 2: they do even just by sitting at their desk and
- 36:55Speaker 2: how they hold their hands up their desk. I see
- 36:58Speaker 2: your standing while you're doing the spot. Yes you know,
- 37:00Speaker 2: and you know and all that and different things ergonomics.
- 37:03Speaker 2: So I might be a girl, but I know how
- 37:05Speaker 2: to get a workshop going, and I can move things around,
- 37:07Speaker 2: you know, to make sure things fit. So I'm not
- 37:10Speaker 2: you know, on the and if you go to YouTube
- 37:12Speaker 2: is just jazzity health period. I'm to subscribed and like
- 37:16Speaker 2: what they need to do. Get the book and.
- 37:18Speaker 1: Yeah that's great.
- 37:20Speaker 2: Now.
- 37:21Speaker 1: Thank you so much Jef for coming and sharing your
- 37:24Speaker 1: resources and your your feedback and your knowledge on this area.
- 37:28Speaker 1: I think it can't be overstated. I think that you know,
- 37:32Speaker 1: what would change as well as priority in our business,
- 37:35Speaker 1: in our life, what would change? Think about all the
- 37:37Speaker 1: positives that could come. And also, yeah, we removed these
- 37:43Speaker 1: negative things that we had heart attacks on Monday, you know, disengagement.
- 37:48Speaker 1: Let's let's change things. I'm with you as a.
- 37:53Speaker 2: Better place. Let's do it, David, let's do it. Let's
- 37:56Speaker 2: go change well. I don't want to lift one life
- 37:58Speaker 2: up other time.
